This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. Can you believe this?
C
No, I can't.
D
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
B
Off to the races and he stays on his feet. This is going to go the distance.
C
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
B
All right, week 16 just about wrapped up Sunday night. Hopefully you are moving on to week 17 or if there's a lot left hanging in the balance with two games left. Or you're just here to listen and Commiserate. Welcome to fantasy football today presented by BetMGM. Make it legendary. Adam. Dave. Jamie Heath. Here it is. Jamie Heath here. Yeah, I don't know. It's late. It's late start. Because that Lions game was dramatic. Sorry about the bad beat, Dave. Share it with the. With the crowd.
D
No thanks.
B
Dave lost by. I'll do it.
D
I'll do it. I'll do it. I. I was in a game I had no business being in. And Jared Goff's crazy rally in the fourth quarter put me in the game. Down 10. Final drive. I've got golf and I've got Saint Brown. And they obviously connected for a touchdown that was called back by a penalty. But there was still life. And by the time there was life left, I was down 5. And so if somehow the Jared Goff lateral had counted. Lateral. And then he scored.
B
Yeah, that's a touchdown.
E
And.
D
And I win. But I didn't. I lost by five. But I was lucky to even be there in the first place. It's one of those things where you think you've got it and then you don't twice because of penalties. But then you realize two things. You realize, number one, your team sucked, but still. And number two, your college alma mater is still playing in the College Football Playoff and that's really all that matters.
B
Well, you know, luck plays a big part of this. I had Gainwell and Michael Wilson in a league, but I don't remember anything lucky happening with them. So let's. Let's play a game called the More surprised by. Are you more surprised by Ashton Genti's big game or Trey McBride's dud?
E
Genti.
D
Genty.
B
What's going on over there?
E
You okay?
C
Don't make me say it.
D
Say it.
E
Say it.
B
Don't say it.
C
Don't know.
B
Please, please don't say it.
E
What?
D
What is it that he's.
C
Congratulations, Adam, on winning the. The Fantasy Football Today league. You put together a lineup that I could not overcome. Colby Parkinson. It was. It was too good.
B
Yep, that's the gain. Well, Michael Wilson league. Your team sucks, dude. Like both our teams suck. Dude.
D
You can't talk like that to somebody after they lost in a semi final.
B
Our teams are terrible. We have no business being there.
D
Doesn't matter.
B
More surprise, right?
D
That is not right.
E
Now, you gotta say it. You just said your team. You gotta say it.
B
Yeah, please.
D
Yeah. You know what? You deserve every bit.
E
I'm telling you, it's very liberating. It makes you feel so much better when you say it, bro.
B
Don't. No more surprise by Jalen.
E
I'll say it for you.
B
Warren's big game or Bucky Irving's dud?
E
Who was it?
B
Bucky Irving's dud or Jalen Warren's big game.
E
Oh, Jaylen Warren's big game. That was.
D
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
E
The Lions defense fell apart so badly that Jono Smith was running through them.
B
More surprised by Trevor Lawrence's big game or Bo Nix's dud?
E
Lawrence. That was amazing.
D
That was. That was really incredible.
E
Yes.
D
That was more surprising.
E
Heath, you know what he's telling you? You feel so much better, buddy.
B
I'm going to make Heath give us the biggest winner. Let's get a smile on his face. He. He was the biggest winner from week 16.
C
Trevor Lawrence.
B
Yeah. Can I ask you a question? I know you lost that league. We had two like garbage teams, right? Did you win any leaks today? Are you out entirely? Because that's happened to me before.
D
He is. I can answer that for Heath. He is not out entirely.
B
Okay, so what are you. So what's happening here? Trevor Lawrence was great. He's the number one quarterback this week. 37.2 fantasy points and 6 point for passing leagues at Denver. Amazing. And he's at Indianapolis next week, so we'll be starting him. And let. Let me nominate Ashton Genti as another big winner here, guys. And here come the giants in week 17 for Ashton Genty. But this was a shock. He. He scored more points today, over 30 points in PPR than he did in his previous three games combined. He had one carry longer than 18 yards all season. Today he had a 64 yard touchdown run and a 51 yard touchdown catch. Jamie. Holy cow. Ashton Genti was amazing.
E
And if you were to say that this was the game he was going to have after Geno Smith's pick six to open the game. I would have thought you were insane and effing crazy. But you know, like this, this is what we were hoping to see all season, I think. I don't know if somebody sent it out. Maybe it was Schefter or Rapaport, one of those guys, the Ashton Genti we were. We were they drafted, you know, the, the player that we were wanting to, you know, get all this fantasy production from because this is what he's capable of.
B
You got to be excited about for.
E
Next year when they potentially have a. A quarterback that's competent, an offensive line that's healthy and competent, and maybe even a new head coach. You know, Genti's future looks very Bright if this is the type of player he's capable of being, and I think he certainly is all right.
B
And I think he's going to be someone to. It's hard to trust Ash and Genti, but next week against the Giants should be good. Now look, you face the Chargers. He faced the Cowboys based Cowboys with Quinn and Williams. I think it didn't do so great.
E
Again, it was the first game with Quinn. Williams. Yeah.
B
Who's the biggest loser? Dave?
D
That's a great question and I'm not prepared for it. The first name that came to my mind was Bo Nix because I thought that Knicks would have had. I thought he would have built on what he did last week. Jacksonville's pass rush was definitely good and we knew that coming in, but the secondary played well and Bo Nix did not play well. And so I think a lot of people started him with the idea that he would do well. But yeah, just he, he, he didn't run that much. He was off target. You know, good touchdown to Sutton, but other than that, just, it felt. The Broncos were one of several offenses this week that just felt totally out of sync.
B
Sutton had a chance for another big play downfield. Touchdown. Couldn't, just couldn't haul it in. It was a little bit off. There could have been a better game, but so disappointing for Bo Nix for sure.
D
Yeah. So I don't know if he's the biggest loser.
E
No, the biggest loser is Jacoby Brissette. I mean, he was start of the week and he was terrible and you know, awful time for that to happen for a guy that we were certainly confident in. I was obviously very confident to making the start of the week and he had been playing well. He helped a lot of fantasy managers get to the point. And his run of nine straight games of over 20 fantasy points comes crashing to an end at a time when a lot of fantasy managers needed him. So I don't like the way that that unfolded for him and, and certainly the confidence that we had in ranking him. I know Dave dropped him a little bit, but for the majority of the week he was our number three quarterback across the board. And just, you know, disappointing to see the way that this, this outcome was. Marvin Harrison dropped an easy touchdown. You know, there was a couple bad throws in there as well, but just, you know, frustrating by far. Yeah.
B
And only 31 pass attempts, which is very low for him. They didn't have the ball much, but I think Brissette had a lot to do with that. It was just kind of a weird game. I mean, Trey McBride with a horrible game at. Elijah Higgins led the team in receiving. That was bizarre. All right, so a couple quarterbacks there. We also, we're going to talk about Rico Dowdle as a big loser and. And more. All right, so it's time for football still. Even if you're out at BetMGM. I can tell you.
D
Maybe, maybe after we could have a little sharing session. You can say what you're stressed about Adam, and then Heath can say what's on his mind.
B
I'm stressed about previewing Lions, Vikings next week and Jared Goff and St. Brown and Jameson Williams against the team that. Thank you, Thomas Schaefer for letting. For the text earlier has not allowed a touchdown pass in six straight games. And that is the first team to do that since. What was it, 1982? Something like that. So 88. 88. Unbelievable.
E
It's. It's even worse. It's. It's one in their last seven. And that's a Lamar Jackson game when Jackson was playing well.
B
Yeah, it's. Heath, are you stressed about that?
C
No.
B
What are you stressed about?
D
That. That's quite a thing to be stressed about. Adam. Real heavy. I don't know, Heath, maybe you've got something you want to say.
C
I'm not stressed about that. All right.
B
What's going on? I don't know what's going on with Ethi. It can't be the FFT league. Like it can't be.
D
Is it.
F
Okay.
D
This is a safe space.
B
Here are some things to consider, just some things to consider as you set your lineups for Week 17. Rico Dowdle has averaged 3.2 yards per carrier worse in five of his last six games. His best run in that stretch is 17 yards and he's facing Seattle. Javante Williams doesn't have a run longer than 21 yards in seven straight games. In his first eight games, he had runs of 66, 33 and 30 yards. He also does not have a catch longer than 14 yards all season. You're getting no explosive plays from Javante Williams. And the good news is the last time he had, you know, like a good big run was that was against Washington and that's who Williams plays next week. This one is the most interesting to me and it's totally quarterback dependent because Jordan Love and Malik Willis are both injured. But Christian Watson has had a target per out run rate of 26.3% or higher in four of his last five games. That's fantastic. So. And he had three end zone targets on Saturday. He was wide open for a long touchdown, but Malik Willis didn't see him. They play on Saturday against Baltimore. If Jordan Love plays, you might be able to actually be encouraged by Christian.
E
Watson to expect Love to play though.
B
Yes. Concussion protocol. And yeah, it's keep our fingers crossed. Tedro McMillan has three games with exactly 10 targets. Including today, he has scored 16, 16.9 and 19.3 PPR fantasy points. So 10 targets for Tedro McMillan, 16 or more fantasy points. He has five games with eight or nine targets and he has scored no more than 13.8 fantasy points in any of them. His big game against the Falcons, 12 targets. So it's terrible. It has to get to either has to A, play Dallas or B, get to 10 targets to have a good game and unfortunately he gets Seattle. Seattle actually has two big injuries in their secondary, so he'll be interesting next week and two more unofficially, a mecca. Buka has a 50 route participation rate. Can't trust him anymore. We'll see how that number updates tomorrow. And Jackson darts 5.8, 6.8, 2.5 yards per attempt in his last three games. He'll be at Las Vegas next week though. All right. I don't even know what to do at this point. I'm so tense right now.
D
This is, this is without question the most awkward episode of fantasy football today maybe ever. Jamie, is there ever a time.
B
You.
D
Know, there might have been an episode like decades ago where like we just like were so angry with each other and that it was awkward? I don't know. But like this is like Adam is like happily going through stats and Heath is ready to jump through his camera.
B
Did I do anything? I really don't think I did. Great call on Harold Fannin.
C
Yeah. I appreciate Trey McBride celebrating the Harold Fanon foe over everybody.
D
Yes.
B
Yes.
D
There we go.
B
This is crazy. He is so upset. Whoever one was going to get killed next week anyway.
D
That's a terrible thing to say, and it's a terrible excuse. This, this is real for everybody listening and watching. Like, in case you couldn't figure out how much we love this game.
C
Yeah.
D
And what we do, like, I'm putting on a big smiley face. I'm actually very amused by what's happening here, but I am pissed off over my loss and Keith is pissed off. And Jamie, I'm sure you didn't win every league you're in. I'm sure you're pissed off. And Adam, you would have been pissed times 10 if you had lost. We take this just as seriously as you guys. And I think, I think it's natural to feel that way. We're human. We care about fantasy. We care about our teams.
E
Don't you feel better now?
C
You're exactly right. 100%. Fine.
D
Good for you.
C
Fine now. Yeah.
E
Okay.
B
That's good, man. All right, so why don't we take a little break, come back and do the news and notes.
D
Why don't we just show up tomorrow at 9am and we'll pick it up then.
E
That'll be on the air for seven hours.
C
Yeah.
B
All right. We'll be back in a moment with news and notes. We'll war winners and losers and things of that nature.
E

Well, we're back. Interesting start to the show. News and notes. Lot of quarterback injuries. Mamma Mia. Jordan Love has a concussion, Malik Willis has a shoulder injury. Baltimore is their next opponent. On Saturday. Gardner Minshew tore his ACL and they're now on their third string quarterback for a game at home against Denver.
E
Shadur Sanders literally made up his name.
B
Don't even remember it.
E
No way. That's not the quarterback of the Chiefs.
B
Yeah sure Sanders left with a cut in his pinky but he came back. Tyler Shuck may have hurt his hip late in the game. Justin Herbert, who's one of Jamie's winners, had a huge game at Dallas, gets Houston this week though. He said his broken Great call on Justin Herbert Heath by the way.
C
Oh thanks.
B
Yes, he said on zero rosters his broken hand is getting better and he's got a much better grip on the ball now. JJ McCarthy left with a hand injury, X rays were negative. They get Detroit next week and Marcus Mariota is questionable with finger and quad injuries at running back Jordan Mason left immediately, basically with an ankle injury. And Aaron Jones also hurt his ankle, but he played third through it. Quinch on Judkins has a dislocated ankle and a broken leg. Maybe they can get Dylan Sampson back, but we'll talk about that. They get the Steelers just did a tremendous job against the run game in Detroit. That's the Brown Steelers next week. Kamani Vidal left in the fourth quarter. They get Houston next week. Devonte Adams is likely out in week 17. Romeo Dobbs hurt his wrist. Pat Bryant left a think we probably most of us saw that really big hit. Scary moment. Pat Bryant left in the fourth quarter. Michael Wilson's touchdown was ridiculous. Tyler Lockett left in the first half. Wide receiver for Dallas. Ryan Floy left in the first half. I don't know if he came back. And Ricky Pearsall was apparently close to playing. He's not playing tomorrow, but he's apparently close. So he might get back for the game against Chicago. I want to read a quote, a tight end news item. Only thing I saw quote from Taysum Hill. So Taysum Hill, I guess this could be his last game in New Orleans and he had a big role today in a huge game. It had. He led the team in carries. He had a touchdown pass. They have a touchdown catch or a touchdown run.
E
He had a touchdown throw. I don't know if he had a touchdown catch.
D
I think he might have had one called back at him.
B
Okay, okay. Yeah, sorry. But he did have the touchdown pass anyway. He said Taysom Hill said, I don't know what the future holds for me, but it was a special day for me and my family. He said also went on to say that Kellen Moore was making, quote, a concerted effort to give me opportunities given the circumstances. So maybe that had something to do with it.
D
Yes, he did.
B
Three Giants offensive linemen were out today or or left with injuries. Minnesota center Ryan Kelly left with a concussion. We're expecting Lane Johnson back next week for the Eagles. But Rams guard Kevin Dotson is unlikely. Is unlikely to play next week. And the Chargers left tackle. Another one left in the first quarter with an injury. All right, let's get to the winners and losers.
E
Trent Brown left also for the Texans.
B
Okay, winners and losers. Dave, you've got Tony Pollard, 87% rostered. I don't really go by start percentage, but 36% started. For what it's worth, he had a note. He had his third straight 100 yard game. He did it against the Chiefs. And Caleb Williams is Your other winner, Pollard and Caleb.
D
Caleb Williams, obviously, from. From yesterday and just nice come from behind win for Chicago. You got a little lucky with Caleb, but I think he builds on it. Think about him doing what he did without having a. Dunes a. Without having Luther Burden. Didn't really even involve his tight ends very much. I think he's getting better as a quarterback, and I think you can consider him as a fantasy option. I know that next week he's taking on San Francisco. I think that matchup's pretty easy. I know it's on the road, but I think that Caleb Williams is a viable starter next week. And Tony Pollard, man, like the. The game against Cleveland, I didn't really buy into. He had those two long runs, and that was really about it. But the last two weeks have been really encouraging, and I. I didn't watch the Chiefs game closely enough to know just how tough the defense was, but playing with a lead for Tennessee, that's rare. And I thought Tony Pollard looked good last week. The numbers speak for themselves, and I think Tony Pollard is somebody that you can look at as a potential starter next week.
B
All right, Jamie. Yeah, Jamie. Your winners are Justin Herbert, 34 fantasy points at Dallas, but he does get Houston next week. And George Pickens bouncing back with a huge game. And he gets Washington next week.
E
Yeah, great for. For Pickens. You know, you wish CD Lam had a bigger game as well, but obviously Pickens needed it more. And so if you got to the semifinals and you got this game from him, you're thrilled about it. We did in our podcast league, for example. And by the way, Dave and I are. I think things hold. We're facing each other in the podcast championship.
C
It's fun.
E
And. And for Herbert, you know, he, I think, had him ranked the highest. I had him as a start and start set. You know, just looking at the matchup like, it just seemed like it was a great spot for. For Herbert to take advantage of a bad Dallas defense. So, you know, I don't think you'll fully buy into him next week because of the matchup against the Texans, but clearly, if you did pivot to him in this week's semifinals, you know, you were thrilled with this performance and great touchdown. You know, you. You referenced two catches that were lucky by Kenneth Gainwell and Michael Wilson. The first touchdown that Herbert threw was just a amazing throw and an even a more amazing catch by Quentin Johnston. So great to have him back as well. So I. I think just to get this type of game from Herbert, you know, it's kind of funny. Like, you know, Dave mentions Pollard, Herbert. You had Ken Walker, Ashton Genti. You know, a lot of these guys that really let us down for a good portion of the season, you know, they, they pop up at the right time, you know, if you, if you did start them. But in the case of, of Herbert and, and Pickens, it was good to see them play at this level after some disappointing stretches.
C
I thought the theme of the week was guys that got me eliminated last week. Blowing up. Blowing up this week.
E
Yeah, yeah. You know, I was at a good game too, with Justin Jefferson.
B
Yeah, he did. And he got Detroit. Next week we'll see who his quarterback is. But Jefferson might be someone people. So I think the question for next week is how much are people going to trust these guys who have been bad and had a good game? Are they going to trust Ken Walker? Are they going to trust Ashton Genti or Justin Jefferson?
E
Well, in the case of some of them, they have big matchups. You're good matchups, you know, so Pickens, good matchup. I don't think anybody was benching him anyway. Gentle. Be thrilled if you got to the, the championship round and you have him against the Giants, you know, so there it's case by case, I think in the, in, in the Ken Walker situation, you know, he'll, he'll be, you know, probably in the low end, number two running back range, especially with, you know, Judkins injury. We'll see what else happens, you know, with this, the landscape of the position. But, you know, there's several players I think that, and, and the flip side of that. Josh Allen Dud. Amara Saint Brown Dud. You know, I mean, we had a lot of superstars that didn't CD Lamb Dud. You know, that just didn't deliver, which sucks.
B
And Tedro McMillan, someone we'll talk about too, but he had a big game and he gets Seattle.
C
As I mentioned, there's a, a comment in the chat that I'd like to address. Big Farts says that I'm about to go on a long walk about the show. And I just like to tell you how my day was after Trey McBride dropped the touchdown from Jacoby Brissette. I decided I, you know, I should just go on a walk. Nobody in the house needs me to be in the house right now. So I went for a walk and it started raining. Fantastic. Halfway through, you were pretty far away from home. It was, it was a. I got wet.
B
All right, well, Heath, your winners are Trevor Lawrence and Chris Rodriguez and apparently Mother Nature is undefeated. But Lawrence and Rodriguez.
C
Yeah, I don't know that Mother Nature's undefeated. I think we've struck some blows against Mother Nature here recently, the last 20 years. But no, I would say I think Chris Rodriguez coming back and taking a 2 to 1 advantage over Bill in rush attempts and now potentially going up against the Cowboys maybe without Quinn and Williams could be somebody that's a high end flex, maybe a quench on Judkins replacement. It was a good game. He got the touchdown. He was an efficient rusher. Once again, he's the lead running back for the commanders in week 17.
E
You know, I, I would think. Well, Quentin Williams plays next week because he practiced in full on Friday. I don't think he just can. I don't think he got cleared in time. So my guess is he's gonna play, but we'll see.
D
I'm not sure it matters like it used to. Over shown got hurt some. There were a bunch of injuries for Dallas's defense today.
B
Well, right. They had the same. Rodriguez and. And Bill had the same amount of carries. They each had eight going into the fourth quarter and then Rodriguez had the last seven carries. I don't think that's like a garbage time thing, but it was kind of a blowout. But yeah, Chris Rodriguez 62% rostered. So we'll certainly talk about him on Tuesday on the waiver wire. All right, Losers. Heath, Marvin Harrison Jr. The target distribution was so strange for the Cardinals today, but Jamie mentioned the touchdown he dropped. I don't know if it was. It wasn't the easiest, but it was catchable for sure.
E
Went right through his hands.
B
It was a deep ball though, and he was being defended. But it was what I think. I think the guy got his hand in there a little bit. The defensive.
E
You need to go watch that again.
D
The Harrison play. Yeah, I think it should have been caught.
E
I just should have caught.
B
It should have been caught. I don't.
E
It went right to Adam. It went right through.
B
All right, anyway, Harrison one catch on for 14 yards on three targets and Kelsey one catch for six yards on four targets.
C
Yeah, I mean obviously Minshu tearing his ACL and some guy that nobody's ever heard of playing quarterback was a bad development. But when Minshu was playing quarterback, he targeted Kelsey early and threw the ball at his feet every single time.
B
It was.
C
It was a disgusting display from Minshu and I think the, the hope was probably that Travis Kelce goes out with a bang and he went out with a big farts instead from the chat Earlier.
E
I.
C
I don't think there's any way you can trust him next week. You can't be a top 12 tight end, and it's probably the end of his career, so that's a sad note. And who was the other one? Oh, Marvin Harrison Jr.
E
He didn't.
F
He didn't.
C
Yeah, he didn't look. He didn't look good, I didn't think. And he wasn't on the field all the time. And, I mean, probably for the rest of this year, Michael Wilson's just the number one wide receiver.
B
Wilson had three targets.
E
Right.
B
And the luckiest touchdown catch of all time. So it's not like he.
C
Bring that up again.
D
Wow.
C
You want to do some more editing work?
B
All right, I'm gonna, I'm gonna bring something up here. Hold on. I'm gonna. While I, While I pull something up here on. On the old Twitter machine. Jamie, your losers were Bucky Irving and Javant.
E
Yeah, I, I think for Bucky was another such. Another game where Sean Tucker steals a touchdown from him. He was running well early in the game, and then just. I don't love the lack of work in the passing game and just, you know, this is a trap back at this point, which sucks because there's so much upside and still so much potential for him. So you're probably still going to start him next week if you advance. I'm sure he'll still be a number two running back and at the back end of, at least from my rankings. But this was, you know, frustrating given the. If you would have told me going into the weekdays, going into the game, he's going to get 19 carries, I would have been thrilled about that. In the case of devonte Williams, you talked about this, you know, his yards per carry, his lack of explosive plays lately. We know about the lack of work in the passing game. This was miserable. And so hopefully he bounces back. There's a great matchup next week against the Commanders. I, I hope it's a. It's. It's a. A matchup. He takes advantage of and gets the work that we're used to seeing from him. But this was frustrating across the board for two guys that were, I, I'm gonna guess, universally started and certainly helped a lot of people get to this point, mostly in the case of Javante, but I think universally started going into this game.
D
Yeah, the splits were ugly for both these running backs. You could argue it was worse for Javante than it was for Bucky.
B
Oh, go on. What were the splits?
E
Well, I mean, they, they pulled their starters late in the game too, so.
D
Yeah, well, in Dallas, Javante played 57% of the snaps but had 50% of the running back carries. He's had all the, almost all the high value touches over Mal, but Davis did not look bad by comparison. And then Bucky, 61 of the snaps, 68 of the carries. Sean Tucker played five snap. This is to Jamie's point. He played five snaps. Four of them were inside the five.
E
Right.
B
So. Yeah.
D
And then the other one was in the red zone. So like it's very clear that Sean Tucker, if you like the matchup for Tampa. Yeah, he, he might get you six fantasy points next week against Miami.
B
Look at this picture.
D
It's gonna be, it's gonna be tough to really love what's going on with, with Bucky moving forward.
B
Jamie, look at this. I told you the guy had his hand in there. Whoever the defensive back was. That's Marvin Harrison dropping the touchdown.
C
Yeah, Marvin Harrison senior catches that.
B
I, he should have caught it.
D
Marvin Harrison the third might catch run.
E
The whole play where the ball goes through his hands.
B
I don't know. I can't do that. I'm just going to use the still picture to illustrate my point. Dave Breeze hall and Rico Dowdle were losers for you. Hall had at least all had 18 touches, 16 carries, 54 yards, two catches for nine yards. And then Rico Dowdle only had 13 touches including four catches.
D
Rico is another running back that's in a full blown timeshare. 57% of the snaps, 60% of the running back carries. I think Chuba looked a little bit better. He certainly ran harder than Dowdle, but it's not going to be easy to trust Rico Dowdle as a fantasy starter. Certainly not in the same way that we did earlier in the year when his ceiling feels like 70 yards. Oh, by the way, here comes Seattle to Carolina next week. That is going to make me very nervous to start Rico Dow knowing that we've seen it now multiple weeks where Chuba Hubbard is just making inroads on getting opportunities in that offense. Chuba played 11 of 12 third downs. Breeze only played 62% of the snaps, but he had 84 of the running back carries and it was against New Orleans. This is a favorable matchup and he still couldn't have a good game. It's pathetic. And so I, I think I. You might have to start Breeze hall just because opportunities and maybe he scores maybe to Rod Taylor's back under center next week and makes it better. But it's It's New England. We'll see what the Patriots run defense looks like this week and whether or not they get healthy before week 17. But I'm not going to feel good about Breeze Hall. I didn't feel good about Breeze hall this week, and I'm going to feel even worse next week.
E
Adam, where's the FFT open at?
B
I'm not sure. I'm gonna have to do an update tonight and have a chance to. To look at it here, but a lot of people started pits. Those people are probably pretty happy.
E
I did.
B
A lot of people started Wilson as of last night. I don't know if they kept Michael Wilson in. He had a pretty lucky touchdown catch. Not sure if anybody saw that. Um, and as I mentioned this morning, only two people started. Pukinakua. Of 24 FFT Open Division winners, only two.
E
How many events?
D
Eight.
B
Top eight advance.
E
Oh, wow. Okay. Yeah.
B
And you had Gibbs, who had a huge PPR game.
E
Huge. Yeah. Down to Taylor left. I only had one really bad player, which was Bucky.
B
Yeah, A few burrows in there. So the borough managers. But who was your quarterback, bro? Oh. Oh, you're good, man. You're good. All right, let's. That's the goal line work. I think we pretty much know most of it. I mean, come on by Dell was actually in at the one yard line and Justin Herbert scored in a QB sneak. We'll see if Vidal even plays next week. We had both Bengals running backs mixing in near the goal line. Tajie Spears, I don't know if you have that, Dave. You have the Titan splits. I saw Ty Spears in there twice, you know, near the five yard line and he scored a late touchdown.
D
Spears had the majority of the high value touches, 4 of 6 inside the 10, 13 of 17 on third down. So huge concentration for Spears. 47% of the snaps, 36% of the running back carries. But that's just carries. It doesn't include what he does catching the ball out of the backfield. This was Heath, cover your ears. This was a Titans offense that recognized that they could win against a Chiefs team that took too many losses on offense.
C
That was the one thing. Dave, you don't have to have me cover my ears. I was so happy for, like to just be able to be happy with a loss. I mean, Adam has been able to be in this position for a decade and it's so liberating to just like be happy when your team loses late in the season.
B
I'm pretty happy.
C
Yeah, it was a great loss.
B
Yeah. And the Titans win was great.
C
Chiefs have a chance at a top 10 pick, right?
D
You called this tank the second that Patrick Mahomes went down.
B
Giants Raiders next week.
E
Huge game for gonna be a lot of.
B
Okay, they get in the call and you had Jalen Warren working near the goal line but you know that's always pretty fluid. And then unfortunately Jalen Wright had a three yard touchdown run late in the game for the Dolphins. Almost touchdown.
C
Yeah, sorry, we. I don't have a way to put private chats on the screen, but Thomas sometimes has good private chats that I like to share with the listeners. He says the chief's third stringer, which who we're not going to name, we're just going to call him the third stringer for the rest of the year threw for more yards than Jackson Dart today.
B
Jackson Dart did not attempt a pass until less than two minutes remain in the first half.
C
They should have maybe stuck with that plan.
B
Yeah, it was a very. They tried, they tried. You know, they wanted to just run the ball. All right, let's take a break. The almost touchdowns, whatever. Let's take a break. And we will be right back with recap of each game after this. Nationwide is so much more than a great insurance company. They're one of America's largest financial services companies.
D
Like how I'm more than just Peyton Manning. I'm also motivate Manning.
B
When I say insurance, you say financial services Insurance. Financial services Insurance.
D
Now when I say nationwide you say is both.
B
Nationwide is both. Nationwide is what?
D
For your insurance and financial needs. Nationwide is on your side.
B
Nationwide Investment Services Corporation Ember Finra, Columbus, Ohio.
G

B
And we are back. All right, let's start with the Saturday Games and Philadelphia 29, Washington 18. I don't know if we. Yeah, we get to believe it or not.
C
Heath.
B
Yeah, why not?
C
You sure?
B
Yeah. Or you can just bring up a topic. Whatever you want at this point.
C
No Terry McLaurin and Debo Samuel Are both starts because they're playing the Cowboys.
D
And it sounds like Mariota is going to play. He's day to day. So what do you say? Yeah, I, I believe it. Low end number two wide receiver for McLaurin and borderline flex for Deba.
E
I wouldn't trust Debo, but McLaren is.
B
Okay on the Philly side of the ball. This was the second time all season that Goddard, Smith and A.J. brown all scored double digit PPR fantasy points. I didn't really trust Dallas Goddard because I know targets one week don't. Don't necessarily matter for next week and he only had three but he came through three for 32 and a touchdown. What do you think they're going to do? What's that?
E
Hard to start him next week.
B
Yeah, Buffalo. But how much do you trust Jalen Hurts next week at Buffalo.
E
Must start quarterback.
D
Yep.
B
Yeah, I think I, we subscribe to theory. I'd like to. I don't care the defense necessarily. I just want to see them in a competitive game where they have to throw.
E
Yep. Right. Okay.
B
Okay, cool.
D
I think you could, I think you could make the case for a meltdown game more for Hertz than for Josh Allen next week. But both of them, that's going to be an exciting game, obviously.
E
Well, Josh Allen had his meltdown game this week.
B
Yeah.
D
I think he bounces back. I guess. I worry a little bit about Hertz, but I don't know if I can find like nine other quarterbacks to start ahead of him.
B
Yeah. And it could be almost ironic that Saquon Barkley, if you got there because he was great against Washington and he's got a great matchup against Buffalo, he might win you a fantasy league. All right.
C
We haven't done this segment enough lately, but Mike is dismayed.
B
Mike is very dismay. Speaking of almost touchdowns, Hunter Henry watching the game live. This just happened. Hunter Henry basically dropped a touchdown. And then on the next play, 4th and 1. Drake may throw an interception. So that was about an 8 or 9 point swing right there. All right, next game is Green Bay and Chicago. This one was thrilling. Went to overtime. Chicago 22, Green Bay 16. Walk off touchdown for D.J.
A
Moore.
C
The packers don't have a must start player against the Ravens next week.
E
If Jacob's practices I will start.
D
I, I mean I think I would start him but that's about it. We're not expecting Jordan love to play. I don't know how much they would trust Malik Willis to throw 30 plus.
C
Man, he was, he's been so good the last two years when he's at it.
B
I know.
D
I, it's really true. I'm thinking about Christian Watson. I, I don't think we can trust him.
B
What about if Jordan Love were there?
D
I think we could trust him.
B
Yeah.
D
I mean, you know, if he has a week's worth of practice and all that stuff and Love clears the protocol level, have a little bit more than a week to get ready for the game. So I guess we can't rule it out. Okay.
B
And next up. Oh, sorry. On the other side of the ball, Chicago, Tough day for DeAndre Swift managers. 13 carries, 58 yards, 2 catches, 12 yards. Anything to say about this? You feel like you go back to him next week at San Francisco?
E
Yes.
D
Good matchup. 49ers on a short week because they play on Monday. Pretty even split in terms of snaps between Swift and Manangai. Swift had a like a 60, 40 edge on carries.
E
Yeah.
B
I think the fact that they went to overtime and the Bears only had the ball for about 26 minutes and 30 seconds. If you didn't watch this game, the packers were doing a great job possessing the ball, just keeping it out of Chicago's hands. Okay, next game is the and DJ.
E
Moore is a must start if the other receivers are out again.
D
No question.
B
Vikings and the Giants. Vikings 16. Schaefer wins 16, 13. Vikings.
C
Sorry. No, but I think both teams wanted to lose also.
B
Yeah.
C
Wandell Robinson is back. Yeah.
B
Bad day for him. What did Wandale have? He had three for 16. Man, that's bad.
F
That led.
D
He had three for 19 and it led the giants.
B
Jackson dart threw for 33 yards. He threw for 33 yards.
E
Yeah.
D
Yeah. I'm a big loser on this one. I had dart in my top 10. I thought that the Vikings injuries were going to take a toll and I thought dart would play well and certainly run more than seven yards. I, I asked you during the game, Adam, because you told me that the offensive line got beat up for the Giants. If like that made a huge difference in the game, could the Vikings defensive blade worse? And you said no way. They were just. Again, this is just going to be an offense that you're not going to feel great about. I know they play the Raiders next week. Raiders gave the Texans a game this week. I, I, I. You can't start dart with confidence. You might start him out of desperation.
E
Well, I'll start dart next week. I didn't want any part of him this week against Minnesota. Just, I mean, it's going to be very tough to trust Jared Goff next week.
D
Yeah, it really will.
B
Well, the thing is dart, you know, this is going to be finally getting out of the elements next week against the Raiders.
E
Right.
B
The this was probably the worst weather game of the day and Johnny airport darts performance qualifies him to join Adam's softball team. Yeah, it's a good comment. It's pretty good, but good job, Thomas. They don't have Andrew Thomas. Yeah, he hurt his hamstring. I can't imagine he's going to play next week in a meaningless game. We know this team is horrible when they don't have Andrew Thomas. So one of their, one of their linemen I think, I think may have been out because his wife was due or like expected because I just trying to find it on Twitter because he was inactive. Then two more left during the game. So you're playing without your starting left tackle, left guard and center against the Vikings. It's a bad, bad thing. But I just think since the Patriots, since he came back from injury, the mojo's just been off for this team and I mean, haven't liked it.
E
He played one tough defense, one amazing defense and one cupcake defense.
B
Right. But even he didn't even play that well against Washington. You know, he had the late touchdown to Wandale.
E
He hasn't played well in a lot of the games where he's had good fantasy production.
B
I think he's playing worse now and, and no, I'm not going to necessarily trust him against Raiders, but I am looking forward to him having an indoor game for once.
E
I don't think he's top five. But I mean, you mentioned how many quarterbacks got hurt this week and golf has now the awful matchup that he has and there's going to be, you know, off top of my head, you can't trust CJ Stroud next week against the Chargers. Harder trust Herbert against the Texans. I don't know. I mean, there's, there's a lot of bad matchups that this is not exactly one of them.
B
Yeah, it's true. All right. Anything for Minnesota. Just so you know, Aaron Jones was clearly not healthy in this game and you know, he wasn't bad, but he didn't have that great game we were expecting. If you said Jordan Mason's out and Aaron Jones is going to get 23 touches, you would have expected a big game. He just, he wasn't healthy.
E
Anything Addison come back into the game?
B
Oh, I don't know. I think so. I didn't read anything about him.
D
I'll look and see but obviously going from J.J. mcCarthy to Max Brosmer is going from bad to worse.
B
All right, well, we'll assess.
E
Yeah, it, it definitely is. But again, the last time we saw him, that was against Seattle. Detroit's defense is clearly not the same defense.
D
Yeah, that's fair, but it, it's not, you're not just trusting in this offense. It'll be Jones, it'll be Jefferson, and that's going to be it.
E
Yeah, no, I, I, I, I agree. I, I think this, this was an extremely encouraging game for Jefferson. So again, if you got here so like, you know, I, I have him in still one final like, or going into one final like, this was great. You know, he helped me get there.
B
All right, next up, Buffalo 23, Cleveland 20.
D
Addison did play into the fourth quarter.
E
Okay, so he came back.
C
Bills, believe it or not, Raheem Sanders is the top waiver wire at this week.
E
Believe it. If Dylan Sampson's out.
C
A rocket, well.
B
Chris Rodriguez is technically, you know, going to qualify. 62 rostered.
E
I'd rather have Sanders than if Samson is out.
C
Yeah, I would agree with that also, believe it or not, Adam's going to say the Bills did shut down a Harold fan. We're just lucky he scored two touchdowns.
B
You know, Heath and I had a, I think a good debate, it was me versus Heath and Jacob about what to expect from Harold Fannon this morning. And I felt if he didn't have the rushing touchdown and he had what, four, four for 34 and one touchdown. I feel like we both could have felt good about our call, you know, like it would have been a good game because I didn't, I didn't think Phantom was an outright sit or anything. I just didn't expect him have that, that many targets because nobody does against the Bills. I, you know, but it would have been a nice game. Not a lot of weak winner, not a weak loser. But the second the rushing touchdown pissed me off, I'm not gonna lie, good, but good for him.
E
Pissed you off?
B
Yeah, because I, because he had a huge game and I was arguing, I don't remember who I was saying to start over him. I think it was a flex. I don't even think it was another tight end, but I was, I was annoyed because I felt I did, I did more research on that than maybe any other player. I watched all this tape of the Bills covering tight ends and all this stuff, and I thought I came up with some really good stuff and he had a rush.
C
Disappointing. It's like investing 30 years of your Life into a college football team and they finally make the College Football Playoff and you're too scared to ask the party to turn the game on.
E
There you go.
C
Very similar thing.
E
There you go.
B
Oh, man. How you feel about Khalil Shakir next.
E
Be more than 30 years life?
B
Yeah, a little bit. Yeah. Khalil, I've had some damn good moments in those 30 plus years. Khalil Shakir was the only Bills.
E
What happened the last time you guys played Ohio State?
B
Yeah, that was. That's what I said to Dave. I think I said, I've flown. I've flown across the country once to see them play Ohio State. I'm not doing it again.
D
They played him since I think they won.
B
They did. They were one and one since. Kalushka was the only Bills player with more than two targets in this game. He had five. Josh Allen had 19 pass attempts, so yippee. But slot receivers against the Bills struggle. All right, I'm, I'm. Who cares? Let's go to our next game. Cincinnati 45, Miami 21.
C
I've got nothing on this game.
B
Okay, I will step up.
C
The Bengals are awesome when everyone is healthy, but they rarely are. And what else?
E
Yeah, is a league winner because he gets to play the Cardinals next week.
B
Well, let's talk about Jalen Waddle because, you know, Look, Ewers had zero touchdowns, two picks, but he threw for 280, 60 yards on 30 pass attempts. And Waddle had a really good game. And D.J. turner, by the way, left in the second half with an illness, so I'd have to see what, what impact that had.
E
But he had most of his production in the first half, so I think Turner was there.
B
He was. Yeah. So five catches for 72 yards on nine targets. That's the most yards in five weeks for Jalen Waddle. You know, so I didn't. I really. Next week I saw almost nothing.
D
Believe it or not, Jalen Waddle's a number two wide receiver.
E
Next week, 100.
B
What did you guys think of Quinn Ewers? I barely saw.
E
I mean, the interceptions were at least one was bad, but. But for the most part, I thought he played well. Listen, he's playing, you know, Cincinnati, not much of a pass rush and they got behind early. So, you know, it wasn't the most encouraging thing, but I think given the matchup that he has next week, you know, not in a one quarterback league, but we got decimated for quarter. You know, super flex and, and 2.2QB leagues like, there's certainly an argument to be made for him over Chiefs third quarterback not to be named. Whoever starts for the Jets. I mean, even to Rod Taylor. I think there's a. There's a conversation there. If it's him, Philip Rivers, if he's the starter next week. Like, there's. There's several situations where you could say, Quinn, yours could be the. You know, the guy that you're turning to for maybe 15 or 18 points. Okay.
B
I can't wait to talk about Jordan Olado kin.
D
Well, it's Chris.
B
Chris.
C
He's the reason we're not saying his name. Adam.
B
I. I got the first day wrong like that. That is surprising. All right, let's.
D
Is it.
B
He. There is a Jordan Olado kid. In the end, I'm pretty sure you're.
C
Getting the last name wrong also.
D
It's a lot of fun.
E
Well, the big question is, does. Does Rashi Rice play?
B
If he's cleared, I'm not starting him.
C
He's gonna need. He's gonna need to take some time.
B
It happens to be our next game. Tennessee 26, Kansas City 9.
E
No defense anymore. I don't know what you'd be scared of.
C
Xavier Worthy is officially a bust. Not from the 2025 fantasy football season, but from the NFL perspective.
D
No, he's not. He's not gonna be what he was drafted to be.
C
He was a first round pick.
D
Exactly. So by that definition, as first round receivers go, I don't think he'll be that guy.
C
It's funny that we had such debate about Xavier Worthy and Keon Coleman.
D
Yeah.
C
And they just are both terrible.
D
Yeah. Turned out you were right on that one.
E
Add a Pacheco to another player having a good game when it mattered the least.
B
I knew it. I knew it all.
C
You nailed it.
D
You knew that he would win out six catches, Adam.
B
Oh, man. It wasn't even that good of a game, but about 13 and a half PPR fantasy points for Pacheco and for Tennessee. Would you give Shimmery DK a look against New Orleans?
E
Thank you.
D
Thank you. I'd have to be pretty desperate at receiver.
E
All right, Adam, some just moved in your wall. Is that a mouse?
B
Oh, stop. Carolina 23, Tampa Bay 20.
D
Hmm.
C
Yeah, it's kind of how I feel about that one too.
D
It was such a bad game.
C
It was awful.
D
It was so bad.
C
Jalen Coker fooled you.
D
Yeah, I'm not. I'm not gonna be. We were starting him as maybe a number three receiver anyway.
C
I think it was Jamie that said after Coker's first game? No, he had two good games in a row. And after the first one, Jamie said, no, we've seen Leggette do this several times. And then Coker did it twice. And I kind of started to believe it. And he was barely even involved in the game plan.
E
I mean, it was a good, you know, it's almost like Colby Parkinson and an estimate and these guys that had just great matchups and you were kind of wanting to see a little bit more, hoping for more, obviously. And in the case of Coker, like Dave said, you know, he was more of a number three receiver that I don't think anybody was going to say should be a mustard guy. I know Dave said, I think it was on Friday show that maybe McMillan and Coker should be closer together in the rankings. I think both of us had him about 10 spots parts. I don't, I don't know where you were. He ten spots apart.
B
Yeah, that's about right.
E
So look, he may, he may score next week. He may have a big player, too. I think, as Adam illustrated, whenever McMillan's getting uber targeted, you see the potential on the upside. I, I'm, I'm fascinated. I'm curious your guys take on this. We had this discussion watching games today. Who's the offensive rookie of the year right now?
C
Harold Fannon obviously.
D
Set a franchise record today. Harold Fannon did.
E
So R.J. white said. I don't know if. If he was just relaying this or if he was. If you remembered this or he was just. He had the information in front of him, but he said going into the week he thought Trevion Henderson was still the betting favorite.
B
Yeah, he was really.
C
Travion was. And Dart Ibuka and Tedro were all right behind him in the odds. And all four of them, I guess Ted Row was good. So maybe, maybe it's Ted Row now.
E
I, I said Tedaroa mostly because his team could win the division, and I think that will carry some weight. I think the guys that have come on lately that you look at their stats, fan and definitely in the conversation. RJ Harvey's got to be in the conversation now, what he's done and how he's performed, especially 11 touchdowns.
D
Is that right?
E
Huh?
D
He has 11 touchdowns.
E
11 touchdowns. Yeah. I know he's not going to get it because of the team's record, but Tyler Schuck has played great.
C
You know, the guy I think that also because of record and because of expectations, that's not going to get it, but should still be in the conversation is Ashton Genti. Like, he was close to the lead amongst rookies in yards from scrimmage and touchdowns coming into this week.
E
Man. Yeah, I wonder. Just the expectations, not the expectations probably.
C
Hurt him, but in terms of actual production, he's going to be ahead a lot of the guys that are in the conversation.
E
Yeah. And then I think, you know, two guys that were probably the front runners that have certainly fallen off can still finish strong, but Tyler Warren and Emeka Abuka. Abuka was kind of the. The front runner for the majority of the season.
B
So let's talk about McMillan, though. From a fantasy standpoint, I think, Dave, you really watch this game closely, so.
E
Sure.
B
Six catches, 73 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets.
D
He's.
B
I don't know that one thing leads to another. You know, he had that huge game against Atlanta and then he was bad after that. So what are we thinking about Tedro McMillan at this point?
D
I think anytime the Panthers have a game where you think they're going to have to end up throwing, he's going to get a bunch of targets. And he's been good when that happens. Duh. Every receiver is. But the difference with Tedoro McMillan is even though he's got some really good talent, he might be. He might have been.
E
He's.
D
Yeah, I'll say it. He's probably. He was the best receiver in this.
E
Game.
D
Obviously, statistically, he was, but I'm talking about, like, talent wise, too. It just felt like he was the best guy in the game. If he. If he were on a different offense, better quarterback, team that really wanted to throw the ball more, play at a better pace, he'd be the runaway rookie of the year. But they're just. There are too many games where they don't throw enough. They did today, but they don't generally. And you'll be left holding the bag on Tetero and McMillan. I'd be a little nervous because of the matchup next week against Seattle, but I think we're either going to get a competitive game or the Panthers chasing points. Either way, that means that Bryce Young is going to throw in the neighborhood of 30 passes. Hopefully that means 10 targets for McMillan. I think he's worth the risk next week, and I. I think he'll be one of the guys. We talk about this off season as, like, a ginormous, breakout wide receiver who we push up our rankings and take in round three and, you know, just hope that Bryce Young takes the next step. And there have been flashes from Bryce Young, too.
E
Didn't we have a Bunch of injuries.
D
The Panthers do get there, and. And McMillan could be a reason why, but I think he's.
E
A bunch of injuries to Seattle on Thursday.
B
Yeah, Seattle. So they had three defensive backs go out. One of them's fine. Two of them are going to be questionable. I thought that Tampa Bay would still have control, their own destiny and keep it. I'm sorry.
E
Just keep an eye on Carolina's offensive line.
D
Yeah, they. I was worried that they were going to completely melt down with a Quanu not there.
E
Yep.
D
But I mean, part of the reason why they won this game was because of how inept Tampa was.
B
Oh, all right. So I didn't realize this. I don't get it. But there must be another tiebreaker. But if Carolina wins next week against Seattle, they win the division. If not, if they lose and the Bucks win next week, then we've got a week 18 matchup for the AFC South. Pretty cool.
E
Yeah.
B
Alrighty. Next game. Chargers 34, Dallas 17.
C
Congratulations. If you advanced with anyone in the Chargers passing game, you can't start them next week against Houston.
E
Yeah, I believe it.
D
I believe it too.
E
Man.
D
Justin Herbert is a dude.
B
I think they. They.
E
I. I mean, given how the playoffs are shaking out right now, if they had any semblance on offensive line, I would think they'd be the favorite in the end.
D
Yes. No doubt their. Their defense turned it around in the second half. And listen, Dallas's pass rush is terrible. And they were still getting very close to Justin Herbert, but he was getting the ball off with accuracy downfield a number of times in the game. And when he wasn't doing that, he would escape the pressure and run. Super exciting. It kind of makes me want to buy into him next week against Houston, but I think that's playing with fire. Yeah, he might. He might still be like my QB12 next week. It's just he was so impressive and he keeps finding ways to make big plays despite the offensive line. And he lost another offensive lineman today. Sawyer. I always mess up his last name. Yeah, he got hurt.
B
The left tackle.
D
Yeah. Well, guard, turn tackle.
B
Yeah. Okay. I think Hampton, if Videl is out, Hampton against Houston will be interesting. I'm sure she'll probably be like top 20. I don't know how high he'll be, but good game for him. 16 carries, 85 yards and a touchdown. One catch for 10 yards for Hampton. Dallas. Yeah, go ahead.
C
I think he had six points in full PPR when Vidal got hurt.
D
It's true. However, he still had a lot of. They were even in terms of snaps before Videl's injury in the fourth quarter and he was dominating carries before the fourth quarter.
B
Okay, next game. Actually just last thing on this is the. The tight ends so disappointing. Ferguson. I think we pretty much know it's hard to trust Ferguson when Lamb and Pickens are healthy. And they had such a great game offensively for the Chargers. And Gadsden had one target for seven yards. New Orleans and the Jets. Saints 29, Jets 6.
C
Come on. Like, what's the thing we can say about Chris Olavi?
E
This year's Chris Godwin.
D
I got one for you, Heath.
C
Good.
D
Believe it or not, if Devon Vale is still out next week, Juwan Johnson is a must start tight end.
B
Even if Valley plays out for the.
C
Year, Vale's on ir.
D
So I, you're. You're absolutely right. So then that settles it. Believe it or not, Juwan Johnson is a top 10 tight end. Next week. Fantasy championships.
C
Yeah, I, I think I had him ninth this week. That sounds right.
D
That was awesome. Yeah, he's. He's in the conversation at minimum. But what did Vale do? He was taking away a lot of those middle of the field plays that Juwan Johnson was getting through like the first nine, ten weeks of the year. And now that Vale's on ir. That's exactly right. It's exactly right. Juwan Johnson's without question. And play next week against Tennessee.
C
You got a real decision to make, Adam, with this next game coming up.
E
Oh, all right.
B
Here we go. Go to the late games. Atlanta 26, Arizona 19.
D
Oh, man.
B
Drake London.
C
Go ahead.
B
Oh, I'm doing this.
C
Yeah.
B
Oh. What do you guys. What's your confidence level in Drake London? A secret dud this week. It kind of flows, flies under the radar. Three catches for 27 yards, eight targets at Arizona, who got very injured defensively. And he gets the Rams next week.
C
It's low. It's probably a low end wide receiver, too. I was worried about him this week just because of what I experienced earlier in the year with Brock Bowers. It's the same injury and it should be, you would think, a game where the Falcons are behind and they have to throw more. And so London's target should be up from this, but I just don't think he's 100% right now.
B
Want to hear a wacky stat? This was the first game all year that the Cardinals did not have at least three running back catches. They had zero. Really weird. That was one of the most predictable things you could. You. How could you not get at least Four catches from Michael Carter. They ran the ball quite well. Michael Carter had what, 11 carries for 65 yards. And they ran the ball very effectively against Arizona. Against Atlanta, Kiner had six carries for 32 yards. DeMarcusato, five for 30, but no catches. So that was a. That was a bummer for them. But they're at Cincinnati next week, so I wonder if Michael Carter.
A
What?
B
Are you going to trust you're going to think about him next week?
E
Michael Carter, number two running back?
C
Yeah, I'm gonna think about him.
B
It's a great question, wasn't it? All right, Jamie. Good call on. On Friday to say that Tyler Algier had some appeal and he didn't have a great game, but he had 16 carries for 79 yards. One catch for negative six. Yeah. Very close to scoring. Next game, Jacksonville 34, Denver 20.
C
Travis Etienne is going to be a top 15 running back next year.
E
Where?
D
Not yet. I'm not ready to believe that because I don't know where he'll be.
C
Well, you got to answer the question so you can say no.
D
I did. I said I don't believe it.
E
My guess is that they franchise tag him so he stays, and then the answer is yes. But I mean, he could go someplace and be in timeshare. It's awful.
D
It could be a timeshare there, too.
B
I didn't see it a lot of. I didn't see enough of this game. I wish I had seen more, but I think thought I saw a lot of certain. On Brian Thomas Jr.
E
Almost exclusively.
B
Okay, there you go. And he had a garbage game. Brian Thomas.
C
I mean, I don't know that Brian Thomas Jr. At this point in the season needs an excuse to have a garbage game.
B
But it's still worthy. It's still worth noting that worthy was.
C
A good name to bring up there.
B
What'd you say was a good name.
C
To bring up there?
E
Lawrence was locked in on Parker Washington.
B
Yeah. You guys gonna do anything about that? Parker Washington, Six catches, 145 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets at the Colts next week.
E
I think he's a good number three receiver.
C
Okay, Washington or BTJ next week?
E
Washington.
B
No. BTJ.
E
No.
B
Washington had three targets in each of the previous two games with Brian Thomas Jr. Now Brian Thomas Jr gets the best cornerback in football. Washington has a huge game. Come on, btj.
E
Who's had a better season?
B
Washington. But since coming back, BTJ has been much more involved until this game against Denver. I mean, how do we feel about.
D
The Colts pass rush? Do we think that they're going to be no getting a Trevor Lawrence like Denver did today?
E
No. Well, I, I do think that we're going to get the force Buckner back, which will help.
D
Well, we're getting him back on Monday so he'll have another game under his belt and that obviously will help. I, I, I, I didn't watch it closely enough, but I do think that Lawrence was focused on getting the ball out pretty quickly and if he doesn't have time to drop back and you know, throw downfield, that's going to hurt. Brian Thomas Jr. Shorter guy like Parker, Washington can benefit. And then Denver just couldn't wrap him up. There were a number of plays where he's just like running free down the right side of the field.
B
Anything else from this game? I think definitely Troy Franklin becomes interesting next week, assuming Pat Bryant is out. They have. Sorry, who do they have next week? Denver.
E
They have Kansas City with their eighth string quarterback.
B
Right. And another game from Sutton.
C
They're going to put a couple more guys on IR between now and then, so it'll be okay.
B
Houston 23, Las Vegas 21 Nico.
C
Woody Marks is the starter if he comes back next week.
E
Starter in fantasy or starter for the Texans? I don't know if I could trust them against the Chargers.
D
I think the Texans are locked into using multiple running backs from here on out.
B
I this is a pretty big development perhaps for the Texans that Jawar Jordan has emerged and he had 15 carries and Nick Chubb had had how many for Chubb? 5? 6.
C
But he was awful.
B
He was not awful. 15 for 53. 5 catches for 17 years. Wait, this is not a bad do some division. We treat the Raiders. Do some division. No, I'm tired of this. We treat the raiders.
C
You are Mr. YPC for life.
B
Listen. No. The Texans have a horrible run game. Their offensive line stinks. They can't run on anyone ever. And, and the Raiders have been a good run defense, but basically all year. So yeah, what was it? 3.8 yards per carry? Something like that.
C
He had 20 touches for 70 yards.
B
And, and he had all he had. And the fact that he played so much over Nick Chubb is pretty telling. I think it is a big development.
C
Yes, it is pretty telling. Nick Chubb is 117 years old and hasn't been good all year.
B
Woody Marks hasn't been good all year and he's 22 years old or whatever.
E
Jordan was basically Woody Marks.
B
Exactly. Like that's what I'm saying. Like was he great? No. But has Woody Marks Done anything great? No, rarely. So 3.5.
C
I just like to hear all of the running backs that have been like top 15 running backs in fantasy over the last 10 years that you've told us are not actually very good because they're averaging 3.9 yards per carry.
D
No, that's.
C
And then Jawar Jordan has a 3.5 yards per carry. And you say this is a big development.
B
It is. It's a big belt. I think it is. I think it's a big development for them. I. Because I think. I think he'll mix in now.
D
And are you saying it's a big development for fantasy?
B
Well, yeah, because it makes me. It makes me want. If Woody Marks plays next week, it makes me want to trust him less. And if Woody Marks doesn't play, at least we know which running back to go to. Although I think Nick Chubb was in near the goal line. But we're not starting Nick Chubb over Jamar Jordan or Jawar Jordan. Excuse me. I think it's. I think it's pretty. I think it's a big development. And the Chargers have a bad run defense. Usually. Shoulders are way up for this debate, by the way.
E
Over here.
B
Feeling it.
E
Nice ornament on your head too.
B
Oh, yeah. Thoughts on Nico? Four catches for 59 yards on nine targets. He drew two pass interference calls. I thought they were both bad calls. I thought neither was catchable.
D
But the last one was terrible.
E
My God.
D
Yeah, I agree. You're still going to start him.
B
Chargers are great. Yeah.
E
Yeah. I mean, Pickens just had a big game. You're still starting.
B
All right, last game. Pittsburgh 29, Detroit 24.
C
Jenn Gainwell is a must start running back against the Browns.
E
Believe it.
D
I believe it too. But I think the game script is going to be pretty favorable for Warren as well.
B
Yeah. I mean, Warren, 14. 14 carries, 143 yards and two touchdowns. Amazing. Against Detroit.
E
Gain. Well, their run defense was non existent today. Yeah.
D
All right.
B
I don't know that he's a must start because I agree. Right. It's like they're not gonna have to. How many passes did they throw? 41 passes in this game. I see where you're coming from, Heath on this one with Gainwell, like is it again. Well, who are you gonna start, Gainwell or Warren next week against the Browns?
C
I really thought you were gonna say Gainwell or toward Jordan.
E
That's amazing. Well, has been good in games where they haven't had to throw the ball very much. He's just been very I mean, extremely productive in the last seven weeks. I don't know. I. I love what they did today. They came out throwing, and that was the case against Baltimore, too. They came out throwing. Now, you could make a case that that's because of the defense that they were facing, and maybe they're going to come out and try and establish the run against the. The Browns, but I don't know. The way gamewell's been involved in the passing game as a rusher, getting some going opportunities, like, he's at least a number two running back. I don't know how you can go away from that now. If you want to say Warren's a number two running back, too, that's fine.
D
Okay.
B
Okay. Anything else from this game?
D
Are we.
B
Do we care about Isaac Tesla or Khalif? Raymond. Raymond.
C
I don't.
B
Nobody cares about Raymond. It's the new show. All right, I'm done. We're done here.
C
Did you see DK Metcalf?
B
Oh, yeah.
C
Grab the fan by the hair, pull them down, and then punch him in the face.
E
Yeah.
B
He's gonna get suspended, right?
C
I would think so.
D
I would think, yeah.
E
We have to find out what that guy may or person may have said that. It.
B
It doesn't matter. I. I mean, he. Whatever, you know, if he said something bad, it.
D
It's horrible.
C
There was about matters 45 seconds on the stream this morning where someone called Adam an uncultured swine, and he didn't get the movie reference. And I think if that person had been hanging over the railing in Adam's office, he might have grabbed them by the hair and punched him. He was pretty mad.
B
I would like to go my entire life without punching anybody. I've. I've made it 41 years. I feel pretty good about it.
C
Have you ever been punched?
B
I have been punched. Yeah. Right.
D
He's got an older brother.
C
Unsurprising.
B
No, it was my friend Travis in, like, fifth grade, just.
E
Oh, we got to hear this story. What happened?
B
I don't even remember. We were. We were playing football. We were. No, I swear. We were playing football at Justin's house, and I don't know, something happened. He just punched me right in the face. It was shocking. Very shocking.
C
I've never been punched.
E
What?
B
Have you ever punched someone?
G
What?
B
Have you ever punched someone?
C
A few.
B
Now, that's a story I want to hear.
C
Yeah, it's not a good story. I'm not proud of it.
B
Okay.
D
Yeah.
B
Yeah, that's exactly right. I mean, it's probably had something to do with Michael Wilson and Kenneth Gainwell. We'll be back tomorrow.
E
Big fart said Justin is a girl.
B
No, it wasn't just big farts. Justin's that's where we played football. It was Travis who hit me in the face, not Justin. Justin wouldn't hurt a fly. All right, we'll the E's.
C
The E actually changes the sound of the I. Justin.
B
Yeah, Justin just say no tomorrow beyond the box score. See you later, everybody. Hopefully you had a great Sunday. Have a have a good Sunday night. See you soon. Paramount Podcast.
