He's been popping we last week I was trying to make a trade with where I was basically playing for the future because I'm like, I'm on the bubble. I'm in the playoffs right now, but I didn't have the team that looked like it could win and I was.

Then I benched Rico Dowdle and gave you confidence that you could like you didn't lose.

[Jason Moore]

And I have withstood victories through the CD Lamb injury. And so then last night I decided I found a good deal where I sold some of my future assets and I'm in now. And then that inspired Papa Josh to say, well, I'll see you through these picks.

He's like, are we going to be alive tomorrow? I don't know.

Yeah, I think he's quitting the league yet after this year because he Traded all of next year's draft, basically.

Yeah, that's. We were all trying to figure out who put this trade through.

Oh, my gosh. It did throw me off, because when I saw the gift, I was like, oh, it must not involve you.

But the trade. For those wondering, I traded AJ Brown, who was my tradeaway candidate and my second round pick, and Travis Hunter for Josh Jacobs. My trade for candidate and Chris Olave. So it was trade. It was our league.

So if you did not get the pickups that you were hoping for, you didn't bid correctly or you didn't have the roster room yet, you hadn't dropped somebody, whatever. We want to give you every week some backup options, some players that you might be able to pull off the waiver wire and spot start Jason. I went with tight ends this week.

[Mike Wright]

I want to hear Jason's.

[Andy Holloway]

Well, okay, I won't share mine then.

[Jason Moore]

Well, since we already said Jason does, while you guys don't. Zach Ertz is a guy that is going to be clearly dropped in basically every league out there.

[Mike Wright]

But why?

[Jason Moore]

Because he had a goose egg. He went, he did nothing.

[Andy Holloway]

But that's why he likes him.

[Jason Moore]

He had a bad game, and in this game, that was the, you know, the breakthrough of Bill Crosky having his monstrous game. Jayden Daniels didn't do much in that game. It was a really weird game script. And one target to Zach Ertz. But that's obviously not what usually happens with Jaden Daniels and Zach Hertz. We have plenty of history here of those two out there together. I mean, he was the tight end eight last year with Jaden Daniels. The first two games of the season, he was the tight end nine and the tight end two, scoring double digit fantasy points both weeks. Then Jaden Daniels was injured.

[Andy Holloway]

Snap counts were very high then. Did you know that?

[Jason Moore]

Yes. 90% for one of them, 64% in the other. And so my point is, you look and it's like three bad weeks in a row, but two of those were Marcus Mariota. You shouldn't have been playing him anyways. And one bad game with Jaden Daniels doesn't mean Zach Ertz is, like, going to vanish from this offense. I think it's a mistake. I am speaking as someone who is currently trying to figure out the tight end position. Like, I didn't get any of the big, big names. I tried to bid up for Darren Waller. I got outbid. I tried to trade for Tyler Warren. I got outbid, trade offered. And so I'm, I'm still rostering Zachary right now. I picked up Meowson Taylor. I'm trying to figure it out, but I, I think it would be a mistake to just drop Zach Ertz and say, well, he's done.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, no, that's fair. And I Want to flag another tight end who played 92% of snaps who had 81 yards receiving? It's Kate Otten. So you're talking about this tight end landscape. We've seen him be fantasy relevant for multiple weeks in a row and it's just interesting. 4 for 81 is a nice line playing almost every snap. That's great. And then Godwin's really not been anything yet and so Evans is not back yet. I think Kate Otten might be worthy of a spot start. All right.

And I want to talk about my guy. Cover your ears, everyone.

We did not adjust the volume. I know.

It's good stuff. Isaac Tesla of the Detroit Lions. This is being brought up because right now Khalif Raymond is banged up. There is a, there's a chance that he misses. This isn't an absolute must ad, but someone you just throw on the back of a bench. And I mean Tesla has, he has showed up in all the opportunities that he has been given. Should he get to be a full time wide receiver 3 for Detroit this week, there's a chance that he really shows up and he just takes that job. And as of right now, Jameson Williams is, he's getting targets, but it's just not coming through. There is a space in fantasy football leagues for Isaac Tesla to be stashed and maybe get that role really going.

It seems like more often than not we've been very fortunate. A lot of breaking news and trades and things have happened. Like while we're recording or just before recording yesterday, right after we finished recording, we got the big news that the Bengals had acquired Joe Flacco from the Browns. And it was like, oh darn, we didn't get to react to it. I think that was good in this specific instance because the knee jerk immediate reaction was hallelujah. Jamar Chase and T. Higgins are saved.

[Jason Moore]

Yep. That was my initial thought. It was like, wow, because we had just talked on the show about how.

[Mike Wright]

I think it's like they're stuck.

[Jason Moore]

It's going to get worse. You've only got Brett Rippin farts behind Browning right now.

[Andy Holloway]

High chance for Chase after.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, that you should sell him. And as soon as that news came through, they trade for Joe Flacco is like, oh man, I wish we didn't say it's all better. Sell them.

[Andy Holloway]

It's all better. They fixed the whole. Did they get An O line with Flacco.

[Jason Moore]

And that's the thing, is like, Flacco's about to die.

[Mike Wright]

He's going to be hit a lot.

[Jason Moore]

I mean, Jake Browning is. Lamar Jackson. If you're just talking about the legs compared to Joe Flacco, you're not wrong. And so then. And so is. So is Burrow. Burrow's great with pocket awareness and movement and all of that. And he just. I mean, this offensive line doesn't exist for the Bengals. You put a statue there.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. He snaps the ball and he puts his feet in two buckets of cement. That's how he gets ready to throw the football. And JJ Zacharias and had shared this, his rating under pressure according to. Pff. Joe Flaccos out of in 20, 24, 41st out of 43 qualified quarterbacks when under pressure.

[Mike Wright]

It's not last this year.

[Andy Holloway]

36 out of 38.

But like, the reason he did not start in Cleveland, because they pulled him off the field, because he was turning the ball over and getting sacked too much and not moving the offense. So look, Jerry Judy and Isaiah Bond are not T. Higgins and Jamar Chase. He will. He will give a little bit more of a floor to those guys, in my opinion, but not to the level of potential excitement that your league mates might have. And that. That's where you have to ask yourself, are they still a sell?

[Jason Moore]

Yes. This is. This is good news for the Bengals offense. It is. Because we talked about. You had Brett rippin farts behind him. That's worse than Joe Flacco. This is who. Who was.

[Mike Wright]

Got released. Yeah, go.

But, yeah, it was pretty.

And so this is good news. It is good news for T. Higgins, for Jamar Chase, but it is not great news. Jamar Chase is not back. Jamar Chase is not going to be a top three wide receiver with Joe Flacco with this offensive line. And so is this a trade opportunity? I think you. You just see if maybe someone is completely hyped, like, oh, my gosh, I'm willing to pay preseason Jamar Chase.

You know, you're not getting that, but.

[Jason Moore]

People go crazy with news. I mean, last year when Amari Cooper got traded to the Buffalo Bills, it was like, oh, my gosh, he's got Josh Allen. Josh Allen's got. And someone. Someone traded him for Jamar Chase just on the hype of the news. I don't know, someone accepted a trade, but go On.

[Andy Holloway]

Okay.

[Jason Moore]

Someone accepted a trade. But my point is people do wild things with hype news. And if you can get a wild thing I would be willing to do.

[Andy Holloway]

It'S hope and it's the chance. You think you're the sharp right. You think you're the one that's going to take advantage of this situation. It's like buying, you know, buying a stock that's really low that could go way up.

[Mike Wright]

And the hope for me with Flacco is Flacco is. He's just, he is a. He is a better quarterback than, than Jake Browning. So it's like the, the quick stuff. I think that Flacco will be able to identify the quick hitting passes, get it out better and faster than Jake Browning. And should they call like a double move, I think that Flacco will see it faster. So it's just, it's about processing. So I think that you get a slight bump up.

Yes, you do. My tweet was literally it's something. Because they had to do something. Their, their division is somehow still not out of reach, which is absolutely absurd.

With Britain Strange, he was sucking up, what, seven, eight targets a game. Naim Heinz signed to the Chargers practice squad. That situation with the running backs there, you know, maybe somebody emerges. But my biggest problem there is there's optimism about Hampton returning after just four weeks. And so I feel like you need at least a week to get clarity and there's a chance that that week gives you none. So it's just a little bit, to me, it's just a little bit of a mess because it's very short term and I don't know that you can trust. How long have we had no Echler in Washington? How many weeks? Three.

I mean, so that's a good situation. That's a good example of like people benched Jaquari, Kreski, Merritt last week.

That's my worry. There is a chance there's an opportunity, but I think it's going to be on the arm of Herbert more often than not.

The Philadelphia Eagles are seven point road favorites here. The over under is forty and a half. This, this game makes me really want to believe in an upset at home in New York Thursday night. Short week, banged up Saquon Eagles. You know, the offense hasn't been great. The Giants defense is pretty good. I can't get there. I'd like to, but I can't. Eagles are heavy favorites in this one, but coming off a loss, they're going to play pretty well. They haven't lost very many games over the last, what, 23, 24 matchups. Giants just looked pretty inept after the strong start against the Saints. Saints get their first win of the year against them. They turned the ball over on five consecutive possessions against the Saints in that game. It was crazy. You know, Jackson Dart is a reasonably okay fantasy player because he's running the football.

[Jason Moore]

But against this defense in super flex leagues, maybe because I think he's a quarterback too. I don't think you would start him. You know, I think in the right.

[Andy Holloway]

I think in the right matchup, you could definitely.

[Jason Moore]

The issue for him is just turnovers. I mean, like, the. The Saints were able to do it because it's like his. His stat line. 202 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 55. What I did. Someone hit the button for me. I don't got it.

55 rushing yards. All of those numbers turned into the quarterback. Sixteen because of turnovers. So that is an issue that. It is that I. The Eagles are going to be. Take that ball away.

He's a must start in every matchup.

What about Tyrone Tracy? They're optimistic that Tracy will play.

I. I will personally be starting Cam Scatter Boo every week until I am shown that Tyrone Tracy's 50. 50 with him or Tyrone Tracy's back to the lead. I am personally assuming that Cam Scatter Boo is going to be the lead guy here, especially in the first week back for Tyrone Tracy. The opportunities, the workload that they've given him, they're using him as their dude.

You do have to look at that. It's been really inefficient for two weeks in a row. It's wild to turn 27 opportunities into 12 fantasy points, 22 opportunities into 11.4 fantasy points. But then you look at those targets. Six receptions last week. You know, Jackson darts only started for two weeks, so. Yeah, I think I'm with you. I would have. I think I would have originally tried to shy away from the Philly matchup, but those opportunity numbers are too big.

[Mike Wright]

One and no, Slayton could turn into even more checkdowns.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. I think it's little Jordan Humphrey coming up to play.

This is not a good matchup for Theo Johnson. The Phillies defense has been top five for a long time against tight ends. That's not a good, good exploitable matchup. And then you also look at like, you know, Theo this season. He hasn't had 35 yards in a game yet. I do like him. I would be fine picking him up and stashing him, but I don't. I'm not willing to play him against a really good Phillies baseball team.

[Andy Holloway]

A.J. brown, Devonte Smith, you're going to play him, right? The Giants are basically dead last against wideouts in the league. You've seen the neutral pass rate go up. They're heavy favorites. You got to play.

[Jason Moore]

Brown should be dominant this week. I just traded away, so I know the pain that's coming.

[Andy Holloway]

So you know Jalen Hurts. They're still 31st in the league in passing yards per game. Jalen hurts. You're going to play him. Saquon, you're going to play him. Dallas Goddard, he scored a touchdown in three straight games. Is he okay? I'd rather play him than Theo Johnson.

[Jason Moore]

Oh, for sure. Yeah. I mean, right now he's the tight end. Eight on the season and he missed week two. So he's been involved. Last week it was really touchdowns. The last three weeks has been touchdowns. That has done it for him. Week one, though, you saw him involved in the past game. Seven targets, seven receptions. So I think you could throw him in your lineup.

No, he wasn't. He wasn't either for me. I mean, for me, it's Bijan and Puka.

You will get the number one. At number three, I'm going to take Bijon Robinson. I think that the running back position is still the most important position right now. I mean, we're two years in a row here where it's like you look at your leagues and you say who's doing great? And it's the ones that are. That have these dominant running backs.

Yeah. I feel like Puka's in a tier of his own and that's why I think he belongs at number one in the same way that Chase was treated this offseason. I'll take Pukunuku at number three. His. His steadiness combined with the. The big week upside, it's awesome. So Nothing wrong with any of those picks in any order. Pukinaku will be my selection at number three.

Man, he is dominating.

Yeah. Yeah. And I. We were talking yesterday, there were. There were a couple leagues, like our listener league, which we're doing all right in right now. But like, I took Puka at, I believe 8.

And it was ahead of Jefferson. It was ahead of Almond Ross, St. Brown and it was. And some other player that people thought I should have taken ahead of him. It was crazy when you took Puka over Justin Jackson.

It was crazy. Like, you know what? I'm going to pull the trigger here.

Is like, when we talk about the next tier of wide receivers, it's. It is a tear down from what Puka has been doing. And Puka hasn't even been doing it with touchdowns. But like, I love Almond RA I love jsn. I love Jefferson, and I don't know how high Abuka goes. I don't know how high CD Lamb should. You know, if he's only missing one more game, maybe he's the wide receiver one after that, I don't know. We'll find out. But all of those guys do not feel like in the same class as what Puka is doing week in, week out right now.

I will take Christian McCaffrey.

Yeah. The run block. I don't know if the run blocking ever actually improves for the 49ers this year, but the volume will be there. And receiving touchdowns, he has three of them. And the targets are just. He's averaging over 10 targets a game that like, you give that to your wide receiver one on your team and you're very, very happy.

It's ridonkulous. It's absolutely.

[Mike Wright]

It is. It is truly ridiculous.

And it doesn't seem sustainable, but it might be. It just might be.

He is. But he also is used around the goal line so much and the lines are around the goal line so much. So it's a nice combination. And Josh Jacobs. Josh Jacobs. One of the things you know that you do keep in mind when you're making rest of season rankings when you're looking at trades. Andy brought this up yesterday is he's passes by now. So you know almost every other player has a, has a game missing. And so if I'm looking at the value of those, he is the running back. I would take. I'm. I, when I, when I, when I lay that both cases out, there are running backs that are closer to Josh Jacobs to me than there are wide receivers closer to Amon Ross. So I'm going to go almond raw.

Yeah. I'll go back to back Lions. It won't be Jacobs for me, it'll be Jameer Gibbs. I will take Jameer Gibbs. I think Jacobs is, is in the running there but I know what I have in Gibbs. I also know that there's an like I think Gibbs with Montgomery in the backfield is a slightly better play than Jacob's rest of the season. And what if Montgomery so to me like Gibbs on that roster the way, the way that they're cooking, I think Gibbs is the pick for me.

[Jason Moore]

Those two running backs have a built in nuclear option which is so cool to have them and just know if either one of those. Yeah, David Montgomery and Gibbs obviously Gibbs far more so.

[Andy Holloway]

I like to visualize that if like somebody gets hurt, they walk over to the other guy and give them this vial full of their power and then they load that power into themselves and accumulate double the stats.

[Jason Moore]

I mean if, if David Montgomery went down, Gibbs is the running back one, he would be the running back one from that point forward. But if Gibbs went down, how high? I think Montgomery could be the running back one or I think it could.

[Mike Wright]

Be top top ten.

Of it was just too much of a workload last year for Saquon Barkley, but he is still, for the most part really coming through and I think that things can improve for him and the Eagles are stable like the other guys have. There's going to be some question marks on the team and the offense. The Eagles are going to be in it for the long run. So I will take Barkley.

Yeah, I don't mind it. It makes this pick obviously easy for me since last time I was up, I was between Amon Ra and Josh Jacobs. I would, you know, Jacobs and Gibbs, I think that is really, really, really close. Jacobson Barkley is close as well.

[Mike Wright]

But I have two other guys I would. Two other running backs I would take before.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, I mean, I'm obviously hot and bothered from. For Jacobs.

[Mike Wright]

Which is why I went out and traded for him and hopefully it comes to fruition. But I'll take Jacobs here.

All right. Josh Jacobs goes with the eighth pick. So we've had three straight running backs. Gibbs, Barkley, Jacobs. I think there will be a fourth straight running back. I'm just trying to think through the wide receivers. No, I actually will pivot. I will pivot. I obviously think Jefferson is worthy of the pick here, but I'm actually going to go Jackson, Smith and Jake.

Yeah, he's one spot higher for me.

I'm going to take jsn. He is currently, I think, fifth in points per game at the wide receiver position. There, you know, a book is ahead of him. A dunes is ahead of him right now. But obviously you're not just looking at what they've done so far. Jefferson, I think, is going to get cooking as he always does. It was. It was between those two at wide receiver for me, actually. So I will go with Jackson Smith and Jigba and put some respect on the name of the player that has truly been dominant.

But then with Carson wentz these past two weeks, 126, 123 yards, and his.

Worst game this year is 3 for 81 with McCarthy, and that was still not that bad.

And I believe that McCarthy, should he come back and get the job, will improve over the course of the season. Jefferson is just. He is that good.

So one of the reasons why that team is good and the head coach is good and the quarterbacks have success is because they target the best players relentlessly, all the time, strategically. Unlike the Cardinals, who. I think. I think.

Drake London has been involved. You know, there's all these guys. But I. When push comes to shove, I was really thinking about this because I have this player and I was like, would I trade him right now, straight up for those names I just said. And I would not. And it's CD Lamb. Okay, CD Lamb. I'm going to miss a game that sucks.

He has been disappointing for sure as the Texans offense has been disappointing. But he is an awesome fantasy asset.

Like the passes to Darren Waller were. Those were their best plays. He looked so fast, big, strong. He was only on the field, you know, half. Half the snaps. And they're going to keep working him in more and more and more. I mean, what did the snap count get up to? I think it was like 50.

When I was re. Watching the Dolphins film it, it literally like the pro NFL recap. I didn't even know they did this, but it was like, you know, pass complete left to Jalen Waddle, exits with injury. It was like, oh, good.

So, yeah, yeah, we all like Waddle, but. So waddle or Tet McMillan, which side do you prefer?

[Jason Moore]

So I've got 100 degree low grade fever on Jalen Waddle. I think he's necessary to this offense. I really like him. I'm like 104 for Tet.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah.

[Jason Moore]

Like, I think Tet is going to help people win championships at the end of the year.

[Andy Holloway]

I still need to be convinced. I would love to be on that team. I. It's one of those things where it's like the peripheral of the Carolina Panthers offense and the.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, Bryce.

[Andy Holloway]

And Bryce and the fact that he can be. He can make a good pass. He could get the stink dunked for two sacks.

[Jason Moore]

The stink of Bryce is why tat is what he is right now. But I mean, this is.

A rookie's coming back.

I mean, this is a rookie who threw his first five games, is on pace for 1200 yards in his rookie season.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. I mean, and that's good.

That's good, that's good. But it's also like Bryce is. Bryce is keeping tets price down. But Bryce has supported. Remember, you know Adam Thielen. Old man Adam Thielen.

Bryce got it done with him. The touchdowns haven't been there. And it's not like he's better with no touchdowns.

It was better with Dalton. Dalton got Deontay Johnson and Thielen cooking. It's just. It's a little hard for me to be all the way there. Is all I'm saying.

You're talking about like rest of season total yardage. I would put a bet on Waddle over Tet on total yardage. On total yard. I mean, because you brought up the.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, no, no, no.

You brought up the yard projection. I'm just saying, like more touchdowns. I think Waddle probably scores more touchdowns.

[Mike Wright]

I would.

[Jason Moore]

I think Waddle probably has more touchdowns. Tet has more yardage. That's how I would see it.

[Andy Holloway]

It's it's. Yeah, it's going to be. It's a pretty close one. If you're in any league with a keeper league or a dynasty league and that trade is on the table, I would definitely be on the tet side of that. I think rest of the season this year it's a little bit tougher for me. But I get it. I get buying in.

[Mike Wright]

That's no touches. I mean, Tyreek should be gone.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah.

Like next year. I think it will.

[Andy Holloway]

Well, number one is their head coach and the quarterback and.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, that's true. It'll be a. They'll probably clean the house.

So we'll see. There are. I don't know. Sometimes the team still looks okay this year to me, like Miami. I'll give if this is credit. I don't know if it is or not. I guess I would have thought that the team would have quit by now and I don't. I don't see the team quitting. I think the team has been okay. They've had stretches, they've had victories that, you know, what are they right now? Are they 2 and 3 or are they 1 and 4?

[Mike Wright]

I would have to go check Dolphins standings. Dolphins are one and four.

[Andy Holloway]

I'll tell you what, I'm going to put this out in the universe. Should Mr. McDaniel lose his current occupation, Arizona will take you as an offensive offensive coordinator.

[Jason Moore]

And honestly, instantaneously.

If you, while you're walking out of the office, we will send a car to pick you up and you can come. I will do it.

Next year McDaniel will go to a team and he will be an OC And I will be very interested in that team's offense.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, there are. It's wild because I think the worst coach by a long shot right now in the NFL is Aaron Glenn in New York. Unfortunately he's a defensive minded head coach that went there, made their defense worse and their offense worse and their team undisciplined. Like, you just have to look at what's happening. He's another one of those guys. I'm like, is he just a coordinator? Like, is he just like a dominant defensive coordinator but can't do the whole thing? I don't know.

[Mike Wright]

Right. Gets overwhelmed when it's everything like I.

[Andy Holloway]

Think we are learning. And Jason and I, we brought this up with Detroit. Like, the play calling in Detroit is great. There's no Ben Johnson. There's. There's trick plays. There's smart plays. There's great play calling. I think that you're at the point now in Detroit, which we never thought we'd be at five, 10 years ago, where the structure and the environment and the head coach and the organization and the general manager, it is building. Like, Aaron Glenn was there. Right. Aaron Glenn leaves. He doesn't look like a good coach. You just wonder how much of the structure is really supporting these coaches. And that's a credit. That's a credit to the best head coaches in football. This was Bill Belichick's whole universe and Andy Reid's whole universe.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, it's Reed. I mean, you have guys leave and it doesn't work.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, the Shanahan tree and all of those guys. Like, sometimes it works out. Sometimes they're kind of shown to be like, hey, you don't have all of the. It's like the trellis for the vine. The trellis isn't there for these guys. And, yeah, Mike McDaniel, maybe a better OC. Aaron Glenn, maybe better a DC I don't know. But we'll find out.
