He had one. Jacoby Brissette had just this one. Didn't really get highlighted, but you saw baby hands breaking it to the outside to where there was just absolute nothingness. And he was all alone. But he, Jacoby checked it down. So it is very interesting to see these plays.

You also had injuries that kind of littered the night. And we're going to get into your one moment of gloating in a minute, but look, Frank Gore, he got injured with a knee injury. He came out. He only had 10 attempts for 31 yards. But not a good game.

Doyle got you by, yes, seven receptions.

But that's what you're hoping for. You are hoping to just get by. Of course, a touchdown would have been nice, but if you're in a half or a full point ppr.

You give him 30 carries and he has a heck of a night. But he ran wonderfully skycam revealed that 30 for 158.

That's the thing. Normally when a guy has 30 carries, you're not expecting him to be over five a carry. And this wasn't on the heels of one long run. His long on the night was 16 yards. That meant he was just grinding out huge chunks.

[Andy Holloway]

Is he now established as an RB2 for the final two weeks because the workload's his?

[Jason Moore]

I mean, I would say yes. They are now showing that they are playing to win, that they've seen enough. Jamal Charles was a non factor and it's a two, you know, a two running back show here where C.J. anderson is getting the bulk of the work and then Booker comes in to spell him a little bit. And we've said, you know, Mike and I have said all year if CJ Anderson would get the work, if you know he's going to get the work, he's a great running back, a great fantasy option. So I'm 100% fine playing CJ Anderson.

I'm still leery of the trust.

[Andy Holloway]

It was a nice game, but the problem hasn't been.

[Jason Moore]

I disagree. Oh, you're saying for C.J. anderson?

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, I said it was a nice game for CJ Anderson. The problem has just been workload. Now they played a very. We have to remember, we have to contextualize this. They played a very bad Colts team.

[Mike Wright]

Well, their Colts rush defense has been.

[Andy Holloway]

Okay lately, but they were in a position where they could give the ball to the running backs 41 times. So that's the situation you'd have to be careful of if it's a 3 to 1 split. But they only carry the ball 25 times. You're less excited about the production, but I do put them in the RB2, back in RB2 category. So. Only because the workload. The workload was there. So let's get into the news.

All right. Not a ton of news before we get into in and out. But Adrian Peterson is on the injured reserve. The Cardinals placed him on the IR with the neck injury. They didn't want to waste a 53 man roster spot anymore with no progression in his injury recovery. And so Kerwin Williams gets to finish the year as the lead back in Arizona. It just leaves you scratching your head a little bit about the Ellington release in the middle of the season. But Jordan Matthews underwent left knee and right ankle surgery on Thursday. He's gonna be a free agent. Not the way he wanted to become a free agent. He's on IR for the Bills and he was irrelevant all year long. Another reminder, game day alerts one hour before [e-mail] Mike will be on periscope an hour before answering your last minute questions, giving you any tips and tricks that he. He's come up with that morning.

Soft tissue, you know, injuries like we'll see with juju having showed up again with the hamstring issue. Those scare me for starting a guy like I will drop them a couple spots in my rankings because of the ability to go out, play start and then re aggravate it during the game.

You want to pay attention to soft tissue issues for recurrence and miniaturized parts of the body. The knees, if anything's miniaturized.

[Jason Moore]

I mean, kudos to Jack Doyle for overcoming the baby hands.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, the miniaturized, that's something you pay attention to. What's that movie coming out Downsize?

[Jason Moore]

That looks really funny to me.

Yeah, it just came to mind when I was. It does look funny. All right. Tevin Coleman, Joe Mixon.

So Tevin Coleman has a practice. I believe he's still in the concussion protocol now. He is a Monday night game.

That seems like a bad situation to hedge. I mean if you have Mohammed Sanu and Coleman's a flex, you can protect yourself there.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, definitely get him out of your running back spot for sure. Fill some Other running back in there, leave him in your, in your flex. I would agree with Joe Mixon.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. Would you replace Devin Coleman with Joe Mixon right now?

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, I would. Because Joe Mixon returning to practice. Usually we see this progression through the concussion protocol where they are allowed to practice, they are involved and that, that helps them, you know, on that week to get activated to clear the concussion protocol. So I would expect Joe mix it a play and Tevitt Coleman as of now did not play.

[Andy Holloway]

I actually think that now Gio Bernard was limited as well. So that'd be nice for them to get Joe Mixon back. But I'm like 60, 40 that Mixon plays. It's late in the week and the practice was limited. He basically had the pads and the helmet on but didn't do a bunch. Today's a huge day for that.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah.

And didn't we see Ertz practice last week in limited fashion and then get deactivated before the game? So you have to be very careful.

[Jason Moore]

And I would say this, I don't like mixing this week. You know, I.

Tough matchup.

It's not a good matchup. No, at all. And if Miami or Minnesota scores and racks up the points, I think you could see more Geo as well. So I'm not a big mix up fan even if he's activated.

Okay. Makes sense. I was curious. The Vikings seventh right now over the last six weeks. Seventh in the league against fantasy running backs. So they are still good.

Here's, here's my take on this. DeAndre Hopkins. He's competing with Antonio Brown to be the best wide receiver.

He saw the attention that Antonio Brown got when he did not practice and people were panicking because of a toe injury. And Hopkins said, how can I take this to another level? I will do the same thing and then I will have a game against Jacksonville and I will up the ante. So I'm not concerned. As of right now.

So you really need to pay attention to DeAndre Hopkins today. Maybe you need an excuse to bench him for somebody else like Michael Crabtree, who has an amazing matchup this week. You can pay attention to the report because they hurt DeAndre Hopkins against Jalen Ramsey. Just not a great week. Make.

Five and eight Bengals against the ten and three Vikings.

The Vikings are ten and a half point favorites. And no, this is not an almost upset of the week. 42 point over under troubles. Troubles aplenty for the Bengals. This season is a lost one. The Vikings on the other hand are playing for first place in the NFC and home field advantage, which for the Vikings, if you're not aware this would be home field advantage throughout the playoffs, including the super bowl because the super bowl is in Minnesota this year.

[Mike Wright]

That would be insane.

[Jason Moore]

So if they happen to I'm rooting for them.

[Andy Holloway]

Win this one seed which seems more likely now with Carson Wentz out and this matchup then they'd have. They'd never travel. And that's something that would actually really, really help. I think a guy like Case Keenum to be solid enough in the playoffs. So very interesting. But from a fantasy perspective, I've already said Case Keenum start Of the week. Latavius Murray, Jerick McKinnon, who, by the way, returned to a full practice. Pick your favorite. That's what I said. They're my running back starts of the week. So where else is the value coming from? If Keenum's going to perform well in this game against the Bengals, who right now are floundering, is it going to be on the back of Thielen once again, or can you actually invest in Diggs, put him in as a flex Both guys.

[Jason Moore]

Thielen will have a great game, and I think Diggs will have a great game. As I said a minute ago, in the in or out section, I expect Kyle Rudolph to be out. If he's in, he's still going to be limited. This is a guy that's, you know, hurt his ankle, not been able to practice, wasn't able to finish the game last week. So we've seen kind of the Diggs and Rudolph combination of, you know, Rudolph gets much better when Diggs is out. Now if Rudolph is out, I expect Diggs to be more involved. I really like starting both of these players, and I want to fire up my Vikings because this has all the makings of a blowout to me. This is one team that looks like they are disappointed in their season. It's a lost season. There's the, you know, the camaraderie is starting to fall apart. Last week they were blown out. I mean, it's just. It's all bad news for the Bengals, and it's still an important game. This doesn't even have, like that divisional hope of the Bengals wanting to ruin the Vikings season because they're a divisional rival. I really worry about the Bengals. This is why I said I don't like Joe Mixon in this game. I don't like Gio Bernard. I mean, the only player that I like at all from the Bengals side is A.J. green because he's A.J. green.

[Andy Holloway]

A.J. green's been targeted 52 times since week 10. That's the fourth most in the league. And if there's one area that the Vikings have been much more middle of the pack, it's been against the wide receiver position. So if you don't like Joe Mixon, stands to reason the targets will at least be there for A.J. green.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, but it's.

Xavier Rhodes will be shadow covering AJ Green. That's not going to stop me from playing Green. But it's. It certainly is. It's not ideal timing for your fantasy playoffs. Meanwhile, Case Keenum and his start of the week is averaging almost 275 passing yards per game since week 10. That's fourth best Pro Bowl. And those are going to the Vikings wide receivers who are averaging nearly 200 yards a game since week 10.

Third best backs up Jason's point about being able to start both of them.

[Mike Wright]

The jets take on the Saints in New Orleans. The Saints are 15 and a half point favorites. One of the reasons I love them as a defense this week. And if you're just joining us, Josh McCown is out for the year, so Bryce Petty gets the start. We're excited for exactly no. 1 on the new York jets offense.

But if there is less success in the run game at home, Drew Brees might need to throw the ball and he'll find easier success against the jets because they haven't been good, you know, against wide receivers.

I think I'd start a guy like Paul Richardson over Ted Ginn this week. I think I'd lean that direction. Would you go Ginn or Richardson?

I would go Ginn. I really would. I Think the Los Angeles Rams have been very good against wide receivers, speaking to Paul Richardson and the jets have not.

So The Giants are 7 1/2 point underdogs at home in this one. 40 point over under and Nick Foles takes the reins. Carson Wentz had surgery, I believe yesterday. From all indications, it went as planned. And now it's recovery time for the ACL tear. Alshon Jeffrey, outside of the illness causing problems, are you confident in Alshon Jeffrey?

The Giants. The Giants are bad. I mean, the Giants give up a lot of points.

Everything comes down to where is your faith level in Nick Foles, the replacement for Carson Wentz? He knows the system. Nick Foles is an adequate backup quarterback. Not anything fantastic, but adequate. So I'm still comfortable playing Alshon Jeffrey. The matchup is. It certainly helps that the Giants have been 28th against fantasy wide receivers in the past six weeks.

Good year from Nick Foles and then the bad year from Nick Foles.

[Jason Moore]

Nick Foles was supposed to be this, the next best thing and then he was terrible. But he is good enough to get it done. I'm not super confident. Jeffrey. What?

27 touchdowns, two interceptions. Oh, the fluke here 2013.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, but he should, Al, Shawn, Jeffrey should be fine. I think if there's a sneaky snort, as we say in this game, it's Nelson Aguilar. Because I have seen over and over and over and over and over and over and over. I need to say that at least 14 times because we're in week 15. The New York Giants defense given up broken plays when it comes to tackling wide receivers. And that's what Nelson Aguilar has succeeded at this year is, you know, getting the ball on some screen or some crossing route and just breaking free and running 75 yards for a touchdown. So this, the matchup seems prime for that type of a play for Nelson Aguilar. If you have to dig deep, if you've got someone that you're really not sure of in that flex position, I think you can play Aguilar this week.

[Andy Holloway]

The Eagles defense, number one against quarterbacks, number one against running backs, number one against tight ends in the last six.

Weeks because I was going to bring up Wayne Gallman.

So are you willing to roll him out like Jonathan Stewart or Kerwin Williams?

[Mike Wright]

Oh, that's. I think J. Stu has the higher touchdown upside, but I'm fine playing Kerwin Williams because of the volume. And Washington has struggled mightily against the running backs, not just the past six weeks, but the entire season.

[Andy Holloway]

Would you play him over DeMarco Murray Kerwin? Yes.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, I think I would.

[Mike Wright]

As gross as that is, I would do that. And Ricky Seals Jones is intriguing this week because the Washington, while on the season, they're 30th against fantasy tight ends. The past six weeks they're 28th. So. Still bad.

And that's Blaine Gabbard just. He has a connection with Ricky Seals Jones. He looks for him.

[Jason Moore]

So I do have a little bit of worry. You know, you saw Jermaine Gresham screaming at. At Bruce Arians on the sideline last week.

I think he was saying, you got to get Ricky Seals the ball, man.

[Jason Moore]

And then after that he kept going to Jermaine Gresham and Jermaine Gresham was the. Was used more as the tight end. So I have a little bit of worry for the usage of Ricky Seals Jones. Even though I love his name, I.

[Andy Holloway]

Probably don't play him on the road. That's my. That's my take. The Redskins, on the other hand, they go up against the Cardinals defense that's ranked number one against wide receivers over the last six weeks. And it's been hard enough to pick a receiver in Washington. So Doxson, we saw him last week. He was shut down this week. You know Patrick Peterson.

Yep.

So is it the Jameson Crowder experiment? Is it Ryan Grant shot in the dark? I mean, what do you do with those receivers? And then P Ryan, Vernon Davis. Does Davis have upside this week?

[Mike Wright]

Davis has upside every week. Unfortunately for Fantasy, we've seen Niles Paul also getting in on the action, kind of splitting up that, that tight end production. Jameson Crowder is the go to wide receiver. Ryan Grant, we've talked was that maybe that was on the footcast. But yeah, I think that Ryan Grant is worth a shot if you're in a deep league. And I still am willing to play Samaj P Ryan, the volume will be there. Byron Marshall, the replacement backup for Chris Thompson, he's now on IR as well. And you saw some Angie Piran showing some soft hands, catch a little dump off passes. So I still have Faith that the volume will be there for P. Ryan, even if the upside is a little bit limited this week.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, you know, I'm not sure I want to play any of the positional players for the Redskins. I'm not excited about them. I like Kirk Cousins. Still, there will be an. Because he uses so many different weapons and we're not sure who it's going to be, if it's going to be Jameson Crowder or Ryan Grant or, you know, Niles Paul or Vernon Davis or Josh Doxson. He spreads the ball around so much that it makes it really hard with this matchup to choose a wide receiver to play. But I do think Kirk Cousins at home in a matchup. You know, the Cardinals have not been great against the quarterback. They're 25th on the season and I think her Cousins is an okay play. I like.

I would agree mostly in parts. I should say not mostly in part because the Cardinals travel poorly to the East Coast.

Despite the game being in Seattle, despite all the misconceptions or I guess preconceived notions about every game that you play in Seattle against Seattle, their defense is beat up. It's a 47 and a half point over under. Now, there might be some light rain in this game, but what are the warnings for fantasy owners and what are the. Who are the players that you think are worth sneaking into the lineup? You know, you're starting Tyne Gurley.

Say, I don't know if this morning, but Todd Gurley got himself a Christmas miracle. That has been happening over the past few weeks as Seattle Seahawk defenders just continue to drop. We know that Sherman Chancellor's been missing time. Now, they could be without Bobby Wagner.

[Jason Moore]

Wow. That would be huge for Gurley. That Brooks you're playing Gurley in the dynasty simmies. Not ideal.

So we Todd Gurley who has one bad game on the season, and that was against Seattle when he was 14 for 43, very much held in check. That team that he played against, they're gone. They're gone. On defense, do you.

The Seahawks are two and a half point favorites in this game. Do you anticipate they win this thing?

[Jason Moore]

I do. They're at home and they have Russell Wilson. They will almost certainly be down because Russell Wilson will have to play the first three quarters, but Russell Wilson in the fourth quarter has been unfathomably good.

[Andy Holloway]

Because they're at home. They could get a hold of the like clock operator and throw the fourth quarter up there.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, Russell, the game's almost over. What.

What's the score? Oh, we're tied. Russell, we're tied. We need.

You feel like they should just play Austin Davis for three quarters, but Russell Wilson just save him in and they're like, oh, the fourth. And it's this big, huge. The truth is celebration of Russell coming.

In if they can't stop their ends on defense is great for Russell Wilson. He's an. He's going to be a great quarterback play this week. We know it. But Mike Davis, Mike Davis is very interesting. The Rams, they haven't been good against the run all year. About 22 fantasy points a game given up and second worst on the year. Davis just looks pretty good. I mean, he just.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, he's got juice.

[Andy Holloway]

Got some. Got some juice. So Davis, to me, is an RB2 start. RB2 flex area. Doug Baldwin, you're starting him. Pick one between Richardson and Lockett for a flex dart.

[Jason Moore]

If I had to pick one, I'm going to continue to pick Richardson. He's been the more involved player. I'm curious though, if you would if you pick one out of both teams, sets of wide receivers. Robert woods appears like he's going to be active. You have Sammy Watkins, Cooper cup and Paul Richardson. I'm not excited about any of them. But would you pick Paul Richardson over all of the Los Angeles Rams options or who would you start from? The Rams.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, That's a tough one. It's hard to know how healthy woods will be coming back in this game. I'd probably go with Richardson the way I think the game script in this game is going to go. But I guess I'd be back and forth between him and Watkins.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, the more that I've been looking into it, the more I'm leaning towards Robert Woods. He was so involved. He was the clear first read. They've been cautious with his timeline and getting him back. So I think Robert woods is a guy, you know, early in the week we're saying you can't start him because first week back in Seattle, but with the injuries to their defense and, you know, more positive reports. If I get another positive report, if he's full go at practice, then I think I'm okay starting Robert Woods.

[Andy Holloway]

Did you know we have four games left? No, we got four games left. The 10 and three Patriots not enough take on the 11 and two Steelers. Steelers are three point underdogs.

[Mike Wright]

This game is a big deal.

And it's interesting looking at how the defenses have performed for the Patriots and the Steelers, it's almost as if they have switched teams because the Patriots were horrible to start the year and now in the past six weeks, they are shutting people down.

Fair, Very fair point. But in the past six weeks, they are still even with that Miami game. Six against quarterbacks, fifth against running backs, third against tight ends. Meanwhile, the Steelers defense, things have just really opened up for fantasy players against that matchup. So having said that, I, Dion Lewis and Rex Burkhead are in with full confidence for me. Cooks, I still think you have to play him. I mean, do you guys see a situation where you can bench Brandon Cooks?

[Andy Holloway]

No, not in this matchup. People are asking me not in this matchup right now. No. And Gronkowski is obviously in and going to make a big difference. That's one thing that was missing last week. We saw the impact on the offense. So is there any real debatable starts? Chris Hogan, we talked about his health. He'll be in there.

[Jason Moore]

I would prefer to not start him personally.

[Mike Wright]

It's fair in dfs.

He's a good play because he's cheap, but in general, in, you know, our playoff lineups, it's really hard to rely on him based on what we saw last week, you know, but. But there's a chance.

He reminds me of Kirk Cousins when I talk about like tier of quarterback where he's not the most unbelievable quarterback. And I don't think you could put a team on his back and take him to a championship. But he's an above average guy. He's been throwing for a ton of yards. The touchdowns haven't been there and so if he can get the touchdowns up, you're going to have a legitimate fantasy option. I, I don't want him in the playoffs, but you've got to pay attention to this guy for going into next year. He might be one of those late round additions that can be a full season starter now.

It's a ridiculous extrapolation, I know, granted. But I just wanted to highlight the point of the yardage versus the touchdowns for Jimmy Garoppolo in his two starts. That's a 16 game pace of over 5,000 yards with eight touchdowns.

You have to understand right now the.

Touchdowns will come for.

He's being limited by the, the weapons. I'm not sure they come this year for Jimmy G. Because think about what you have to say out loud. You have to say Marquis Goodwin catches a touchdown, Taylor catches a touchdown or Kittle catches or you know, or Selleck like the options. Look, there's a reason he has eight touchdowns. There's a reason that the ceiling is kind of capped right now. The weapons are just not there.

You just has one touchdown. I'm saying the pace would have been eight for 5,000 yards, which makes no sense.

I believe so. I believe so. I can get that. It's hard to trust Derek Carr. I still think that he is an he, he is an option this week. I mean in the week that we're looking at playing Garoppolo and Blake Bortles, if you are one of those that says I cannot put my fantasy playoffs in the capable hands of Blake Bortles and you want to go with their car, I'm not going to, I'm not going to fight you over it. I think that it's there. This is a big time game. The timing of this game and the implications of how many fantasy players are in this matchup I think is fantastic for fantasy football. So I'm very excited for the game. But I'm with you, I'm with Andy that I think Michael Crabtree is an excellent start this week since.

So on the other side of the ball, I think Dak Prescott, who has not been throwing the ball deep, a lot of his numbers look inflated, but this is a perfect matchup for that. Again, I think the Dallas offense should be able to move the ball. Dak Prescott was going to be my start of the week this week before I shifted to Aaron Rodgers. So I like him and I also like Alfred Morris quite a bit in this. I think he's overlooked.

He's at 20 right now in our consensus rankings. I was going to look at that. Obviously we adjust our rankings every day. We make tweaks going into the week. Would you really play Mike Davis over Alf?

I would not.

I agree with that. It's both. Both the tight ends have opportunity here because over the past six weeks the Raiders defense is 30 seconds against the tight end. Meanwhile the Cowboys 31st. Not not to be outdone, a little.

So most people don't after 500 shows, nobody's listening anymore. That's what that means. The Falcons 8 and 5 take on the 4 and 9 Buccaneers Monday night Football. Jason was digging up some Julio Jones statistics.

You guys are looking at this and seeing how Julio performed.

The numbers seem like they're not real in the last semi.

Yeah, basically. So Julio got injured in 2013. So since 2014 he's been playing, you know, most of all the games. He has seven games against Tampa Bay in that time, 61 receptions, 965 yards and seven touchdowns. How many games in seven games? That is insane. That's like a pace of basically over 2,000 yards in a 16 game season.

So he likes the Buccaneers.

[Jason Moore]

He loves being the fuck big, big fan now he is much better at home than he's on the road and this is a road matchup. But even if you look at just on the road, he is averag since 2014. Eight receptions for 107 yards and 0.33 touchdowns per game against Tampa Bay. You. I mean he is my number one wide receiver this week. Obviously you're going to play him, but.

[Andy Holloway]

It'S just a great setting up disappointment.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah. Not only yes, possibly, but you need to be aware of that if you're playing against Julio. Expect the big game. Adjust your lineup appropriately.

I think Devonta Freeman is going to end up my number one running back on the week in this matchup.

[Mike Wright]

If Coleman.

[Andy Holloway]

Coleman is. Even if he is active. Devonta Freeman ran with a vengeance last week. I think he looks great. I think there's a chance he's all alone with Coleman in the concussion so. And the Bucks can't stop the running back really. I mean they're 24th in the league, 23 fantasy points a game. That makes the begs the question, look at Freeman and Julio are going to have a nice game. Can you trust Matt Ryan?

[Jason Moore]

I don't think so. I had someone comment like okay, well then why is Matt Ryan not a top 12 quarterback if I'm expecting a monster game from Julio? But two weeks ago when Julio had literally one of the top 10 performances of all time for fantasy at the wide receiver position, Matt Ryan was the 15th ranked quarterback that week. So I think you can trust these options without trusting Matt Ryan. It is a great matchup for him, but he's been terrible.

[Andy Holloway]

One of the more interesting things if you look at the other side of the ball, Jameis Winston is dead last in deep balls since his return since. So you've got these two deep weapons and Evans and desean Jackson and now you have to wonder if it's mental, if it's in his head. If the team is saying listen, don't throw the ball away, don't make mistakes. And now he's not, he's not famous Winston if he's not taking shots down the field. It's a double edged sword.

Winston is the king of air yards as a quarterback.

[Jason Moore]

Was. Yeah.

[Mike Wright]

The crown has been taken away from him. So perhaps that's what's going on with with Mike Evans is I think you're onto something there. Andy with we saw them in Hard Knocks where they would overly stress to Jameis Winston about don't. Was the quote essentially said don't lose the game. Yeah, I feel like that was the talk.

[Jason Moore]

This is one of those matchups where I don't necessarily love the options. I don't know which tight end to start. Probably neither Bray or O.J. howard. I would start Howard and but James Winston at the end of this game will probably have an okay fantasy day like he usually does. He'll throw two picks early, they will lose the game, but Jameis Winston will come back, rush enough, pass enough and get a couple touchdowns to people that aren't going to help you unless you started Jameis Winston. But I do think Jameis Winston's is an okay starter. Last six weeks, the Falcons have been 26 against quarterbacks despite being a pretty stout defense everywhere else.

[Mike Wright]

Now, Doug Martin, Peyton Barber situation, how are you handling that? How are you feeling?

[Jason Moore]

Unless news comes out of Tampa that Peyton Barber has been made the starter or will see significant increase in volume. I'm not wanting to start either. Either.

That's what I was going to say. This situation sounds like I'm not starting Doug Martin.

This is the kind of situation where an industry should arise that allows you to buy insurance on players production so that you can, you can, you know, because you could get zero from either of those guys and you could get 15 from either guy.
