Mike Wright
M. Right, it's Friday, everybody. Friday, October 9th. We're back. Hold your applause, hold your applause. We're back. The Fantasy Footballers are here.
Andy Holloway
No. Please apply. I want to see.
Mike Wright
I want to hear it.
Andy Holloway
I want to hear about people.
Jason Moore
It was just going to be me. I was just going to. He was telling me to stop hooting and hollering over here.
Mike Wright
Oh.
Andy Holloway
I was imagining people driving on a freeway, clapping.
Mike Wright
Oh, Jason, you got your Matt Hasselbeck jersey on under.
Jason Moore
Yeah, under this.
Mike Wright
That's nice. I didn't know they made Colts ones. Yeah, that's nice.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I.
Andy Holloway
Man, two of them. Did you guys see that? That game that Dante Moncrief, number 81, put up yesterday?
Mike Wright
Right, right. Uh huh. Don't. Don't talk too much about that. That's my quick question.
Andy Holloway
Oh, okay.
Mike Wright
All right. So welcome to the show. This is the Fantasy Footballers Podcast. I'm Andy Holloway joined by Jason Moore and Mike the Fantasy Hitman. Right. Yes. And we are back every single day talking fantasy football, getting you prepped for week five, getting your fantasy team ready to go. And we're answering your questions on the Fantasy footballers dot com. We're answering them on the podcast today in our mailbag section. You can check us out on Twitter as well. We've got a Twitter blitz today. Eight straight hours of answering questions on.
Jason Moore
Twitter make our fingers bleed.
Mike Wright
That's not a joke. It should be, but it's not. Yeah, and it starts here. Well, when you're listening to this, it's probably going to be going on, so. But yeah, about an hour from now. And that is on @The FFballers on Twitter. And you can follow our individual accounts at Andy Holloway, at Jason FFL and at FF Hitman.
Jason Moore
The blitz itself will be from the FF Ballers account, correct?
Mike Wright
Correct. And so we've got some news and notes. We're going to go through and tell you who we think is playing and not playing injury wise. We've also got the second half of our fantasy forecast, going through the matchups, going to break down the games, the fantasy implications, all the players. We got our Daily Dose segment. Chris Meaney of the Fantasy Sports Network will join us today. Talking DFS giving you some sweet value. Start some guys that he's playing this week in his leagues. And then we're gonna, we're gonna hit the mailbag, answer a few listener questions. It's a full plate, gentlemen.
Jason Moore
It's a fun Friday.
Andy Holloway
It's like a, like a buffet.
Mike Wright
It is a. Yeah, you just, you know, you get a little bit of this, a little bit of that. You go, you're gonna leave full and happy.
Andy Holloway
Well, we go right from this to the blitz. So it is a gonna be eating.
Jason Moore
A lot of football today.
Mike Wright
I am.
Andy Holloway
You know what?
Mike Wright
I'm gonna have a slice of Jeremy Macklin to. At the end of the meal, just.
Jason Moore
To top it off.
Mike Wright
All right, so quick question of the day, guys. I'm just gonna focus this on the game last night. Andre Johnson, he's back. Wow. Come on. He was literally back in Houston.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Mike Wright
For flash in the pan, he had 77 and two touchdowns. Dantre Moncrief had one catch for three yards.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, he took all the Moncrief action yesterday. So it. Maybe it's bold and reckless. I do not care. I am. I'm not picking up Johnson. I'm not. It's just not happening. I'm not finding a guy who we. We didn't talk about the revenge factor of the revenge game narrative. We should have. We probably should have. But I thought it was just ludicrous and it.
Mike Wright
When he caught, when he caught the first pass, I turned to the guy I was watching the game with and I said, I guarantee you, he scores on this drive. Like you just knew they were going to make every effort when they got near the goal line to throw it to him. Give him that moment in the, you know, he looked okay.
Jason Moore
He did. He's big.
Mike Wright
He's a big guy.
Jason Moore
His second touchdown was delightfully humorous. That was where he scooch. Yeah. Where he basically just fell over and grabbed the ball in the two yard line and then kind of like scooched his boots.
Mike Wright
That's the new, that's the new end thing this year.
Jason Moore
How was nobody.
Mike Wright
Isn't that Matthews?
Jason Moore
Yes. Be near enough to touch him. Like they were only on like the whatever 10 yard line. It's not like they had a whole field like that that other play. It's like nobody could touch him.
Andy Holloway
Well, I heard the. So the Dolphins, you know, they picked up doing the Oklahoma drill again with their, their new tough head coach there in Indianapolis. They do the, the fire drill, the stop, drop and roll. So they just in case.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
And it paid off in spades.
Mike Wright
Oh, yeah. How about that Hail Mary? Jalen Strong had, what, Jaylen Strong's first opportunities. Two catches, two touchdowns.
Jason Moore
Pretty good.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. I would rather pick up Strong than pick up Andre Johnson.
Mike Wright
What do you think the ownership percentage of Andre Johnson is right now?
Jason Moore
I'm guessing it's 70%.
Andy Holloway
I would go with 40.
Mike Wright
It is 59%.
Jason Moore
All right.
Andy Holloway
Right in the middle.
Jason Moore
Right.
Mike Wright
You would not sign Andre Johnson.
Andy Holloway
No, I would.
Mike Wright
He will be signed.
Andy Holloway
Here's what I would be signed.
Jason Moore
I would trade for Dante Moncrief.
Mike Wright
Oh, no, I mean it.
Jason Moore
Because, look, I think this is more of a flash in the pan. You have a backup quarterback that's not going to be normally playing, and when he goes back to Houston, those two things.
Mike Wright
I will give Moncrief credit. 4 out of 5 games, he's looked better than Andre Johnson.
Jason Moore
There you go. That's a pretty good example.
Mike Wright
They did invest in. It was. It was so funny because Andre Johnson, Frank Gore, Matt Hasselbeck, it was like the old man Brigade.
Andy Holloway
Frank Gore, the Golden Girls.
Jason Moore
Exactly like we hoped he was.
Mike Wright
All right, let's get into the news and notes.
Jason Moore
News and notes from around the league.
Mike Wright
All right, in little whiny girl news, Ryan Mallet did not finish the game last night.
Andy Holloway
Hey, that's offensive to me.
Mike Wright
It is?
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Call him a little whiny man.
Mike Wright
Okay, he was a little whiny man.
Jason Moore
He was what he was. I don't blame him, though, because he had a great first drive.
Mike Wright
It's one thing to show some displeasure to a coach to tell somebody something. It's another thing to constantly be pulling your helmet on and off and mouthing or, you know, we didn't hear the words, but you could tell what he was saying.
Jason Moore
Okay, I don't.
Mike Wright
That's bs.
Jason Moore
I don't. I don't blame him for being upset. I definitely blame him for the way his upsetness was shown. Like a little whiny baby man.
Mike Wright
Yes. And the thing is, is it was so directly proportional to whatever happened on the field, which was great. Like, at the end of the game when that. I mean, terrible decision. No, Heuer.
Andy Holloway
He called that. Ryan Mallet called that play in.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
That's what we don't realize.
Mike Wright
Terrible decision by Hoyer. And so the ball gets intercepted and Mallet's like, oh, throwing his head around. Like, I wouldn't have made that throw.
Jason Moore
But no matter what it was, I.
Mike Wright
Got a track record of dominance. If it was put on a clinic.
Jason Moore
You could tell that he wanted him to perform bad like he was not. Yes, he was not in it for the Texas.
Mike Wright
They needed that win. Yeah, that's not news at all. This is not news.
Jason Moore
And none of these quarterbacks there are fantasy relevant. So welcome to the fantasy footballers.
Mike Wright
All right, what I actually want to focus on in this section in news and notes is just getting into essentially, who do we think is playing out of the injured guys this week? So let's go and do that right now. I'm going to shoot through these guys and you let me know what's it.
Jason Moore
Going to be like?
Chris Meaney
Are you in or out?
Mike Wright
All right. Jay Cutler In. All right. I think we knew that Latavius Murray, is he playing in?
Andy Holloway
I think so. He's questionable, but he. He should be good to go.
Mike Wright
What about Marshawn? Game time decision again. What's your. What's your gut tell you? Is he going to play? My gut tells me the owners need to know.
Andy Holloway
My gut tells me that you need to be prepared with another option.
Mike Wright
So that is.
Jason Moore
I agree.
Mike Wright
Lean on the no side.
Jason Moore
I lean on the yes side.
Mike Wright
Okay. Jeremy Hill in. What is his current.
Andy Holloway
He just.
Mike Wright
Why is he in this list?
Andy Holloway
Because he's been limited the entire week through practice. So it's just something that. To it. To watch it. What do you. What. What is that face?
Mike Wright
That face is like, I just traded Geo on one of my other leagues.
Andy Holloway
Oh, I thought you were making the face like.
Mike Wright
No, he'll practice. You get credit. I was literally. That was the Geo bitter traded Geo face.
Andy Holloway
I think he'll. He'll. Hill should be fine, but he just. If he doesn't practice or is very limited again today, then. Then there could be a problem.
Mike Wright
All right. So keep your eye on that Tevin.
Andy Holloway
Coleman, I think he plays. Yeah, a little bit limited though.
Mike Wright
But does he play a very limited role?
Jason Moore
Yes, he is limited in.
Mike Wright
Joy Bell is still on the roster. Does he play out? All right, Carlos Williams. Carlos Williams. The concussed Carlos Williams. What's the latest on him? What do we do? Who in the world do you start in Buffalo right now?
Andy Holloway
Carlos Williams, concussion. Still not practicing?
Mike Wright
No, he didn't practice today. Friday.
Andy Holloway
Booby dip.
Mike Wright
Shady's out.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Shady, we believe is out.
Jason Moore
Shady's out. Carlos Williams is almost definitely out. Then if he's. If he hasn't been cleared by today, he's almost definitely out.
Mike Wright
They have two guys left named Booby and Boom Boom. Heron is there.
Andy Holloway
What is going on?
Mike Wright
And Booby Dixon is still all banged up. I'm worried about the workload and Jason.
Andy Holloway
Made this point right before the show began. They sure could use Fred Jackson up in Buffalo.
Jason Moore
What were you doing Buffalo?
Mike Wright
Well, I mean, you know, that's a clown show. That's a very convenient argument at the moment when you have Carlos Williams performing at the level he did. They made the right decision with Carlos.
Jason Moore
Have you ever seen Fred Jackson injured?
Mike Wright
He's hurt right now.
Jason Moore
I know.
Mike Wright
Alshon Jeffrey, is he playing? Oh, actually we didn't answer the question. So would you start Anthony Dixon if.
Andy Holloway
If he goes. Man, it's hard to trust him now with the injury. I liked him very much before.
Mike Wright
Can you start Charles Clay at running back?
Jason Moore
Well, Charles Clay's on this list, so we'll have to see if they can start him at tight end.
Mike Wright
He's all right. All right. Alshon Jeffrey. Do you expect him to miss a fourth consecutive game?
Jason Moore
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Not sounding good.
Mike Wright
Yeah. All right. Alan Hearns.
Andy Holloway
I think he plays in.
Jason Moore
I thought this was in or out.
Mike Wright
It is. Michael Crabtree.
Andy Holloway
Sorry.
Jason Moore
Thank you. Thank you, Mike. I'm very angry over here. Crabtree. In.
Mike Wright
Eddie Royal.
Andy Holloway
In.
Mike Wright
Stevie Johnson.
Andy Holloway
Out.
Jason Moore
Out.
Mike Wright
Sammy Watkins.
Jason Moore
Out. Out.
Mike Wright
Desean Jackson.
Andy Holloway
Out.
Jason Moore
Out.
Mike Wright
Devonte Adams.
Jason Moore
Out.
Mike Wright
Charles Clay.
Andy Holloway
In.
Jason Moore
In. Please. In.
Mike Wright
Vernon Davis In.
Andy Holloway
And great and delightful.
Mike Wright
And I disagree. We were disagreeing.
Jason Moore
So we were disagreeing. And the last couple weeks I have made you a tight end top 10. So will you take Vernon Davis? Yeah. Water bet.
Mike Wright
I understand the argument behind liking Vernon Davis this week with the tight end defense for the Giants. What I think you will realize quickly is that just because Vernon Davis is playing doesn't mean he's going to be the only guy catching the pass passes out of the backfield or I mean, sorry, out of the tight end spot. I think Garrett Selleck still going to be involved. Vance McDonald will get snapshot. It's just not going to be a volume thing. I'm not worried about him. He will not be top 10.
Jason Moore
I believe you have lost the last two tight end water bets.
Mike Wright
Well, that's because I made the stupid decision to make the bet from your position. Hold on. It's hard to be tough.
Andy Holloway
I'm pulling up the tight end numbers here.
Mike Wright
No, thank you.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I'll pass.
Andy Holloway
Nope. What do you mean the tight end?
Mike Wright
What are the tight end numbers?
Andy Holloway
The New York giants. So week one, they gave up 10 for 68 and three touchdowns. Week two, four for 77. That was against Atlanta. Week three against Washington, six for 96. Last week against Buffalo, 11 for 128.
Jason Moore
Just a lot of yards and that's the type of player that Vernon Davis is right now in his career. Those longer passes.
Mike Wright
No, he's not. Vernon Davis stinks, okay? He hasn't shown me that he doesn't stink in a really long time.
Andy Holloway
This sounds like an embittered man who likes that likes Vernon Davis at the beginning of the year.
Jason Moore
Of course I do.
Mike Wright
I like Vernon Davis. If he's healthy and been showing me something consistently, I don't like him in this game. And so that's why we made a bet right now. That's fine. We can be polar about it. I mean, you guys were all over Moncrief last night. We all know how that worked out. All right, let's talk about stamps dot com. Alright? We do everything we can here at Foot Clan headquarters to keep our business running efficiently. And so constant trips to the post office can get in the way of that. So we don't let that happen. Because we use stamps.com we don't have to spend time at the post office. We can focus on growing the show. Stamps.com makes mailing and shipping easy. Jason Moore
And we'd also like to thank our other sponsor, Topps Huddle app. The Tops Huddle app is a digital trading card. When I grew up, I had hundreds.
Mike Wright
Did you ever grow up?
Jason Moore
Well, when I was young. When I was young, I had hundreds and hundreds of basketball cards. That was my sport. Do you want to know where those basketball cards are?
Mike Wright
I don't know. Are they on your card?
Jason Moore
Because I want to know where those basketball cards are. I have no idea. They're in a binder somewhere, lost. Because that's what happens with the real cards. They get destroyed, they get lost. But not with the Topps Huddle app. It's digital. It's always going to be with you and your account. I love it. So the Tops Huddle app, it features officially licensed NFL Pennsylvania trading cards. You got the real players in there. You can. Not only do you get the value of opening packs in that moment, but you can trade them with other people. You can also. This is something you couldn't do with the old trading cards. You can play them like a fantasy football game. So here's what you do. If you want to have fun for the football fans and especially fantasy football fans, this app is a must have. Download it for free in the app Store or Google Play. Get 10 free packs today. That's the Topps Huddle app.
Mike Wright
Are you guys ready to break down the rest of the matchups for week number five?
Chris Meaney
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Yes. Fantasy forecast.
Mike Wright
The proper response response is yes, sir. Yes sir. I am ready.
Jason Moore
Yes, sir. I have to say this because I think at every single time we do this fantasy forecast that drop the second half of that when it goes, I love it. I mean I get jazz or sized up?
Andy Holloway
Jazz.
Jason Moore
Well, I get jazzed up, but it wasn't enough. I need to. I get.
Mike Wright
I have an idea for a New goal on jointhefoot.com Jason Chadzercise a 5 minute exercise video led by Jason.
Jason Moore
Oh man, I might die with move.
Mike Wright
With moves from the show. You've got the Macklin cake going on.
Jason Moore
All right.
Andy Holloway
By the way, Julius Thomas, we don't think he's gonna play.
Mike Wright
No, that is true. All right, let's talk about the Saints going to Philadelphia to face the Eagles. The over under in this game is a whopping 49 points. That's got to be up near the top.
Andy Holloway
At least opened that. I don't know if it's sitting there still.
Jason Moore
I believe that is the top.
Mike Wright
So Breeze and Bradford, what do we think about Breeze? Because I read a report this morning so it'll be a while until he's 100%.
Jason Moore
It makes sense. I mean he's got a shoulder that doesn't just immediately get better. You saw, I think like 90% of his throws were short throws last week. Little, little dump offs, a little short, you know, 10 and under routes. And you're going to see a lot more of that, which I think bodes well for the running back situation here. CJ Spiller hopefully can get used a little bit more. Mark Ingram. Did you know Mark Ingram is averaging over five receptions a game? It's ridiculous. He's doing it every game. He's had a game of 8, 6, 7. I mean, he's looking really consistent. If it's weird to say Mark Ingram in a half point or full point, PPR is. Gets a. Gets a bump. Yeah, that's just bizarre. What's going on over there, Andy?
Mike Wright
I, you know, I like letting people see the visceral fantasy football responses. And I just had Reuben Randall snake for me in our. In our league of record.
Jason Moore
Really.
Mike Wright
I needed a fantasy flex play this week. And so this is a miniature segment. Real quick on sleeper opportunities for guys this week. Here are the guys that I was considering for sleepers. Chris Thompson, Washington running back. A lot of snaps over there. Willie Snead, which we can talk about in this game. The Saints. Reuben Randall was a consideration, and somebody went out and spent six fab dollars on a Friday morning to take away my player. And they dropped Jordan Cameron to do.
Andy Holloway
It, and I spent $2 to get Willie Snead.
Mike Wright
All right, so let's talk about Willie Snead, then.
Jason Moore
Double snaked.
Mike Wright
Well, I know I didn't. That's fine. I had Thompson ahead of Snead.
Jason Moore
Okay.
Mike Wright
All right, so Willie Snead, and we'll talk Thompson in just a second on the next matchup. What do we think of him? He's a rookie and he's been catching 73% of his targets, which we kind of knew somebody had to step up in this offense. We thought maybe. Oh, is it Brandon Coleman? No, it's not. And I think you could kind of see it on the field. Coleman just didn't look great. And then we thought it was Cooks. We thought Cooks had this great upside. He's not being involved. So is Willie Snead the guy to kind of. I mean, was that a wise decision by Mike, spending two fab dollars on Willie Sneed?
Jason Moore
Yes, it was absolutely a wise decision to spend $2 on Willie Snead because Willie Snead is the number two there. Brandon Cooks is still the number one guy. That's who you want the most, even though he's been underperforming. If both of these guys were on waivers, you'd clearly, clearly go Cooks. But Willie Snead is earning the trust of Drew Brees. Willie Snead is running great routes and getting open and being found. And when you've got the trust there, after you've lost so many targets in the off season, everyone was high on Brandon Coleman because someone's got to get the ball. But it looks to be Willie Snead and that trust, his snap counts. Have been growing every game. That's what we try to see at this, this point in the year for a rookie.
Mike Wright
So would you rather start TEG in Junior or Willie Snead? Willie Sneed even after the two touchdown game and I mean three straight double digit games on by.
Jason Moore
So I definitely would not want to start Ted Gynjr.
Mike Wright
Well, that's true. That's true.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
I'm looking at the waiver wireless going, these guys are in this de facto.
Jason Moore
Ask me more about starter. Sit with a waiver with a by guy.
Mike Wright
Genius.
Jason Moore
I like being right.
Mike Wright
Okay, so let's talk about. Are we starting anybody at the tight end position at all in this matchup?
Jason Moore
No.
Andy Holloway
You can't trust the Philadelphia tight ends at this point. And the same thing for the Saints tight ends. They're just, we saw Hill finally get in the end zone, but there's none of these guys. There's much better options on your waiver wire than these guys.
Mike Wright
All right. I said this on the radio yesterday. Someone asked me, what do I do with DeMarco Murray. Is this. Do I just roll him out there? And I said, Yeah. I said, DeMarco Murray. This is the week. I have him ranked a little bit higher.
Jason Moore
Yeah, you and I both have.
Mike Wright
This is the opportunity.
Jason Moore
You and I both have him ranked higher than the consensus.
Mike Wright
Let me, let me take a look at that. We have.
Jason Moore
If you look at the consensus expert ranking, we're both a little higher on him.
Andy Holloway
So you have no fears of the growing whispers in the winds and the shadows.
Mike Wright
I have him at 4 this week.
Jason Moore
Wow. So you do not have him there.
Mike Wright
You have him at 10.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Which is still higher than the Mike.
Mike Wright
You barely have him in the two conversation.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, man.
Mike Wright
Do I have concerns? Yeah, you got concerns. But I do not believe that the solution for that offense, you know, you don't have a situation where they've been out and winning with Ryan Matthews. You have a situation where they've been losing with both of them. And demarco's been paid a lot of money. Demarco demands, is demanding the ball. I think this is the chance he gets. So I'm just gonna, I'm gonna bank on him having a good game. And they're at home and this is their chance to get their season turned around. So if I have him, I'm playing him. It sounds like you guys are both playing him. So we're all in the same book, are on the same page with that. And the defenses are both pretty bad. So Washington at Atlanta Atlanta favored by almost 8 points in this game. Is there any way Washington keeps up and even if they can't keep up, does that mean we've got garbage points coming to Cousins, to Garcon, to Jameson Crowder?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, yeah, I think they can keep up or as in and not keep up with, in scoring. But Washington defense has been, has been solid, man. It's been, it's been there. And the Falcons have just been taking advantage of matchups. This is a, this is a really, really big test for Freeman coming up against a. The Washington right now is second in yards allowed to the running back. So we'll see if Freeman is a mirage or not. I think if Freeman has a solid game here, then I will really start to buy in. Do you think? But Brian, I think he gets held out of the end zone this year, this week.
Mike Wright
Okay. If you had to start a Washington running back, you would emphatically and excitedly start.
Andy Holloway
Depends on the league type. But if it's, if it's ppr, I'm going to start Chris Thompson.
Mike Wright
That's just crazy, right? Not crazy. Not like you're not crazy, but crazy that we're at the point where it's.
Jason Moore
Crazy that we're at that point in this game. You have to, I mean we try to project different things and one of the things you try to project is the game flow. Atlanta has been just blowing people out of the water and while I do agree with Mike that Washington's defense is good and I don't necessarily expect them to just blow them out, they will probably be down. That's, you know, they're favored by seven.
Mike Wright
And a half is a big deal.
Jason Moore
And so if they're down and they're needing to pass the ball, we've already seen that Thompson is the guy. He's got plenty of snaps on the field. He can catch the pass and he looks good. He looks good, you know, with that role. So he is a flex worthy.
Mike Wright
You got to remember Gruden wanted a Geo type guy. He had the Geo type guy when he was in Cincinnati. That's what Thompson is settling into. It's not Matt Jones. So let's say you've got, you traded Matt Jones.
Jason Moore
Let's say you've got Alfred Morris and Matt Jones in this matchup. And you have to, you're, it's your Alfred. Everybody is by. You're starting Alfred over Matt without question, Mike.
Mike Wright
Alfred was almost my start of the week.
Andy Holloway
I'll lean Alfred Morris just because of last week of this recency bias. But I don't feel comfortable week to week knowing who it's going to be.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Trick question. I don't start either.
Mike Wright
Go on. Alfred Morris had a okay week last week.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Mike Wright
He did 17 carries back on, you know, but no touchdowns. And he had two catches.
Chris Meaney
What?
Mike Wright
Yeah, two for.
Andy Holloway
I missed that.
Mike Wright
I know. So did he. Almost. All right, let's talk about the wide receivers for both teams. Let's put. Do we like Garcon?
Jason Moore
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I like him.
Jason Moore
You got to throw the ball a lot. You got Jordan Reed out. Garcon is the short pass type of guy that, you know, that Cousins is actually going to get the ball to. I like Garcon quite a bit. I'm playing him in one of my.
Mike Wright
Now you're in a three wide receiver league with a flex and you got some bye weeks. Do you start Jameson Crowder?
Jason Moore
Yeah, I would be willing to for all the reasons we just stated.
Mike Wright
Now, D Jacks is he. Did we have him on the list?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, we said he's. I heard from a Washington beat reporter on the way in that he's. There's a slight, slight chance, but all signs point to him missing another week. And Crowder, I believe he had 10 targets last week. I mean, that's, that's the kind of opportunity that you want. And the Washington seems to like Crowder a lot. They're finally getting him involved. Andre Roberts was a healthy scratch. He's been demoted. Crowder has taken his job.
Mike Wright
So he's in the doghouse.
Jason Moore
So let's say you, let's say you've got desean Jackson on your bench and news comes out, he's in, he's active, he's going to play. Do you play him in this matchup against Atlanta? You definitely, if that happens, you definitely don't start Crowder, right?
Andy Holloway
No, Crowder's still in because Crowder will be the slot receiver if Windshawn Jackson comes back, Crowder will still have a role.
Jason Moore
Okay, but do you, do you start Deshaun?
Andy Holloway
I don't think I do.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I would. If he's back, I'd probably flex him.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I think he's flex worthy.
Mike Wright
Here's a sleeper alert for everybody. This might be a DFS play as well. Derek Carrier. Derek Carrier is the new tight end in Washington. If you don't under. If you don't know what happened with Washington. They lost two tight ends in the preseason and now Jordan Reed is out with a concussion, slash, knee injury. Derek Carrier caught his both of his targets last week. This is a Situation where Cousins throws to the tight end all the time. And so I think Carrier will have targets and I'll have receptions in this game. I'd look for four to five catches from the tight end and if he somehow got in the end zone, he would be, you know, I would love. Extremely sneaky in DFS lineups if you're.
Jason Moore
Not in a head to head. If you're in one of those bigger tournament style formats, great play.
Mike Wright
All right, you guys ready to move on to the Cardinals facing the Lions?
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
In Detroit. The Lions are the only winless team.
Jason Moore
Shouldn't be.
Mike Wright
Shouldn't be. Are they going to start figuring things out here? Because this is. We were talking about Matt Stafford. He has faced four very difficult pasties and now he's going to face another one.
Jason Moore
Well, he's. He's faced three of his four weeks, have been against three of the top four and now he plays Arizona. So I think he's going to have another bad week. I really do. And you're going to see Matt Stafford on a lot of waivers next week and he's got a pretty good schedule coming up. So. Yeah, something to watch for is a next week Stafford alert, which is weird because he's normally hot in the beginning of the season and then cools off. But I expect them to be better later. But not this week.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I like, I like Arizona in this game that we saw that the. Who could have the worst offensive line matchup of Seattle versus Detroit and it was pretty neck and neck, which the Lions cannot get a run game going because they cannot get the run game going at all. The. The passing game has just been non existent almost. Calvin Johnson looks, looks.
Mike Wright
I think he looks fine.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I think he looks okay, but I don't know. There's some plays missing that I think Calvin Johnson would have made earlier last year or the year before.
Jason Moore
Will Patrick Peterson shut Calvin down?
Andy Holloway
I think it's.
Mike Wright
Yeah, he might. It's more of an avoidance thing. Yeah, they'll. But Johnson will get a few catches and I'd look for him in the red zone.
Jason Moore
Golden take. Good.
Mike Wright
All right. Theo Redick was signed by a lot of people on waiver wire. What do we think of Theoretic this week?
Andy Holloway
He's a fine PPR desperation player.
Mike Wright
Chris Thompson or Theoretic?
Jason Moore
Thompson.
Andy Holloway
Thompson.
Mike Wright
All right, Andre Ellington set to come back. Chris Johnson. Would you rather start Chris Johnson?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, Yeah, I think it's Chris Johnson. Andre Ellington has not had the success running the ball that Chris Johnson has had the first few games.
Mike Wright
All right. Another DFS sleep I'm throwing out there. Michael Floyd.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, yeah. He caught all five of his targets last week, and Smokey John Brown has been a little disappointing, and I think he's fine.
Mike Wright
It's just a matter of drawing. No, you're right. You're right.
Jason Moore
And defenses are going to start more and more targeting on fits, and as they do that, they're just going to use Michael Floyd instead. So I like Floyd a lot.
Mike Wright
All right. The Patriots head into Dallas to face the Cowboys. Dallas is a home underdog by nine points. What hope do we give to the Cowboys in this one?
Jason Moore
Not too much. Not the much. The Patriots coming off a buy are a scary machine. The Cowboys without Tony Romo are not a scary machine. So I don't give them much hope. But the hope that you do have here is garbage time trying to keep up with points. I dropped Dan Bailey. I don't have much hope in them trying to kick field goals.
Andy Holloway
So would you say like the Patriots as are a T1000 coming off of bye week and the Cowboys right now resemble a Johnny 5 from Short Circuit if they're lucky.
Jason Moore
So you guys know Short Circuit? Yeah.
Mike Wright
Yeah. We just didn't give you the response that you wanted.
Jason Moore
We know.
Andy Holloway
That is correct.
Jason Moore
A running back will be catching passes here. You and I have disagreed on McFadden or Joey, and so that's what I. That's.
Mike Wright
Whoa. Whoa.
Jason Moore
I love it. A Blossom reference.
Andy Holloway
I'm bringing them all until you guys finally give me a head nod or something.
Jason Moore
Hey, I gave you a Whoa.
Andy Holloway
You doubled the whoa.
Jason Moore
I doubled it. All right, so. So the running back situation here, though, I think is one that is going to yield good fantasy. I believe it's going to be from Joseph Randall, and I think he's going to be a good start just through the air. What about who else is catching the ball here?
Mike Wright
You're starting. Oh, okay. In Dallas.
Jason Moore
Dallas Jason Norton.
Mike Wright
I looked at Beasley as another one of those sleeper candidates this week, and I just. I just. I can't get behind it because. Yeah, because it's just one of those, you know, 5 for 51, 4 for 42. You know, his odds of getting in the end zone are very low. And I mean, if you're getting a full point per reception. Okay. If you need to flex him, maybe take a shot at him because at least he's getting targeted underneath, but. And maybe he benefits from no Dunbar.
Andy Holloway
That's. What. If we were talking about which running back catches the ball, we could both be Wrong. And it could just be Cole Beasley.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
I mean, instead of that dump off to the running back, they just get Cole Beasley involved.
Mike Wright
So we're starting Brady. We're starting Deion Lewis, who, by the way, just signed an extension. We're starting Edelman, and we're starting Gronkowski. But here's the question for you guys. Do you start LeGarrett Blunt in this game?
Jason Moore
Yes, 100%. I actually have him as an RB1 this week. I would start both. Blunt. Wow.
Mike Wright
I did not expect such an emphatic.
Jason Moore
I know. It's. It's a little. It's a little crazy.
Mike Wright
The Cowboys have not exactly given up a ton of yards on the ground.
Jason Moore
No, no. Yeah. I really think coming off a by.
Mike Wright
You two should make some sort of bet, because you never do. You're all on the same side of the desk.
Jason Moore
Okay, let me. Let me check. Let me check my stats here and see what I've got him at.
Mike Wright
You just said a one.
Jason Moore
Well, I want to make a nice on that. Well, I've got him at 12. I'm not going to bet that he doesn't fall one spot below where I've got.
Andy Holloway
I'll give you top 15.
Jason Moore
Give me a. Give me an RB2 and above RB2.
Andy Holloway
You have him at 12 and you want to.
Mike Wright
Honestly, you should make that top 20, then settle it.
Jason Moore
You've got him at 42. You're not willing to make an RB2 bet? You got him at 42. That's a water bet, right, Mike? Yeah, that's all right. Water bet.
Mike Wright
I don't know why I was trying to, like, get it to 20. I don't think he's finishing in the top 24 myself, but if he gets in the end zone three more times, then maybe he will.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Broncos going to Oakland to face the Raiders. Can this be my. Almost. Almost.
Andy Holloway
Wait, wait.
Jason Moore
What?
Mike Wright
I think the Raiders have enough offense to make this interesting. I think.
Jason Moore
I think they're young.
Mike Wright
I didn't push the button. This isn't my upset. What was my upset yesterday? You remember?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I liked the. I liked that one. I don't remember. I don't know what it was.
Mike Wright
It was the Bears over the Chiefs, but I. You know. All right, Derek Carr. We're sitting him. Is that true?
Andy Holloway
We're sitting the couch.
Mike Wright
Get out of the car. Get out of the car. All right. We talked about Latavius Murray starting Amari Cooper or Crabtree. Who do you like more?
Andy Holloway
Cooper.
Jason Moore
Cooper. I mean, he's got the More talent. He's going to probably get more targets, but I don't love either guy in this matchup against the Broncos and their pasty. That's very good.
Mike Wright
All right. If you're a CJ Anderson owner and you're not, you know, sitting in the corner of a empty room shaking with sadness, what. What do you do here? Do you do. Do you roll them out one more time and just. I wait?
Andy Holloway
I personally think you do. I think this is a great opportunity.
Mike Wright
I heard you say that on the radio yesterday.
Andy Holloway
I think this is a great opportunity for CJ Anderson to get into the end zone.
Jason Moore
The.
Andy Holloway
The matchup is strong. I don't think this game is going to be close. I think the. The Broncos, the defense can shut down Carr at this point of his career.
Mike Wright
You're probably right. I want to believe. I want to believe in Oakland so bad. I'm so disappointed. They lost last week. You don't even know.
Andy Holloway
And so it's just. It's the Hillman versus Anderson, and I'm. I'm not buying Hillman. I mean, it's. They've both been terrible. Absolutely. But C.J. anderson is still the guy who's involved in the passing game. He's the one who's pass blocking. He's the one who will do a chip block and then run out for a dump off. That's not what Ronnie Hillman's doing. Even though that's kind of the perception that people have of Ronnie Hillman. And Ronnie Hillman is sure, I'm not going to take away the huge run. But without that, they both were terrible.
Mike Wright
Let me ask you this. Peyton Manning or Eli Manning this week?
Jason Moore
I like.
Mike Wright
Eli's at home against the 49ers defense.
Andy Holloway
I got Peyton.
Mike Wright
Okay. I'm okay with Peyton this week.
Jason Moore
I think I've got Eli this week. Let me check my rankings here.
Mike Wright
The start of the week at tight end for Jason is in this game. Owen Daniels.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Mike Wright
I love Oakland is brutal against the tight end position.
Jason Moore
I do have Eli slightly ahead of Peyton.
Andy Holloway
The finishes of the tight end against Oakland, I believe has been 1 2, 1 2. They were not doing a microphone check. They were just finishing very high.
Mike Wright
You're talking about how the tight ends performed. Wow. Yeah. Okay, so let's talk about Peyton's brother here. 49ers going into New York to face the Giants. Giants are favorite favored. Obviously. The Giants could kind of take the lead in the division here. They could, and I expect them to win this game. So what do we do? This is the biggest question I have for 49ers players across the board, what do you do with Carlos Hyde? Because in week one he looked like. I mean, we even came on the show and we're like, do we think he'll stay in that top 10 during the rest of the season? And the consensus I think was, yeah, he probably will. He's got more than enough talent and opportunity.
Andy Holloway
Well, the opportunity.
Mike Wright
The opportunity's sliding away when this team is getting down and down by a lot. So Carlos Hyde, are you rolling them out there with confidence? Are you rolling them out there by default?
Jason Moore
Rolling him out there by default on the road? I think he's got a higher chance of having a good running game flow if he's at home on the road to a Giants team that's favored by a whole touchdown, they could be behind. So Carlos Hyde, more than likely he's going to be in your lineup, but he's not somebody I'm excited about. Probably somebody I'm more thinking of as a flex type of play this week.
Mike Wright
So across the board then running backs in this game, you're probably not excited about anybody. I'm never excited about Andre Williams, Rashad Jennings, Shane Vereen. Vereen. Guess how many pass catches the pass catching back Shane Vereen has in the past two weeks?
Jason Moore
Zero.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Same amount as Vernon Davis and me. And you and me.
Andy Holloway
Here's for Carlos Hyde. Here's what he's going up against. The top ranked running defense as far as yards allowed.
Mike Wright
You don't sound like you're buying into.
Andy Holloway
That running defense because the Giants passing defense is dead last.
Mike Wright
That is a funny position to be in when you're 32nd against the pass and first against the run.
Jason Moore
It means you don't need to run the ball. I can just pass it over them all game long.
Mike Wright
The problem is I wouldn't start anybody right. I know San Francisco in the as pass catchers. Tory Smith, maybe toy sport.
Andy Holloway
Someone's got to do it.
Mike Wright
Hey, look, this is the Smith or Ruben Randall.
Jason Moore
No, man, that's tough. I think I would rather have the floor of Randall. Clearly the ceiling is pretty high on this matchup with Tori Smith. I would not be shocked if he had a six for 150 and two touchdowns because he caught two super long ones. But I wouldn't be surprised if he was 0 for 0 for 0, you know, with. With Tory Smith.
Andy Holloway
So what if he was 0 for 0 for 1?
Jason Moore
Incredible. Well, that means he ran one in.
Mike Wright
That's true. What? Unless it's a receiving touchdown well, no.
Jason Moore
I'm saying he ran one in like handoff.
Mike Wright
No, I get it. I get it. I get it. Anquan Bolden hasn't done anything this year. He's sitting on waiver wires in most leagues. And I didn't pick him up to start him. I'd rather start Ruben Randall. So let's talk about the Monday night game. The Steelers facing the Chargers. Now, we'll get a chance on Monday, the morning show, to talk through this a little bit, but let me ask some big questions here for owners that are waiting. You know, if you're starting somebody here, you're making the decision to bench somebody over the weekend. So we need to talk about it. La'Veon Bell is in the lineup. Antonio Brown's in the lineup Now Martavis Bryant. Everybody wants to know, do I start him this week? That's. Everybody's been waiting. He's had that little suspended icon next to him on your bench. You haven't got to put him in the IR spot. You're getting. You're getting the itch to play him because he's back. In fact, this is the. The Antonio Gates and Martes Bryant are both back in this game.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, the cheaters.
Mike Wright
Different sorts of complications.
Andy Holloway
Cheated on the law.
Mike Wright
Sure. So, by the way, quick aside, did anybody see the Le'Veon Bell E60 Special?
Andy Holloway
No, I did not.
Mike Wright
Check it out.
Jason Moore
Okay.
Mike Wright
It's pretty good. It talks about his little encounter with Legera Blunt.
Jason Moore
Oh.
Mike Wright
But I mean, it was interesting. It was. It was cool to see. If you're a Le'Veon Bell owner, you'll like it because, you know, makes Le'Veon Bell look pretty good.
Jason Moore
I mean, that's funny.
Mike Wright
Well, I mean, just. I mean, he goes through that.
Jason Moore
But recap your law. Struggles with drugs.
Mike Wright
It's not just that he looks pretty good.
Andy Holloway
Does it talk about his. His diet?
Mike Wright
No. Well, what's his diet?
Andy Holloway
Well, just about how from year one to year two and how he leaned up.
Mike Wright
He just wants to look. I mean, he wants to be the best running back. That's all I'm saying. And he might be. Might be. So, Martavis, do you start him? Yes. No.
Jason Moore
No, I prefer not to start him because you don't know what you're going to get with Michael Vick if you have to flex him. I'm comfortable doing that because I think he could break one off. He's a talented guy, but I prefer to sit him.
Andy Holloway
This week. Andy is shooting the guns at us. What is.
Mike Wright
I want to run through these Martavis Bryant or John Brown. Arizona John Brown.
Andy Holloway
Brown.
Mike Wright
Martavis Bryant or Kendall Wright? Tennessee.
Jason Moore
Kendall. Right.
Mike Wright
Martavis Bryant or Dante Moncrief? That was a setup because Moncrief sucked and I. All right. Martavis Bryant, Travis Benjamin.
Jason Moore
Martavis Bryant.
Andy Holloway
Bryant.
Mike Wright
Bryant or Alan Hearns?
Jason Moore
I think I go Bryant this week with Hearns. A little hurt.
Andy Holloway
Hearns.
Mike Wright
Pierre Garcon, Kamar Aiken.
Andy Holloway
Aiken.
Jason Moore
It's completely dependent on Hayden. If Hayden's out. Aiken. If Hayden's in. Martavis.
Mike Wright
Jason, by the way, Jason is destroying our consensus ranking on Kamara Akin.
Andy Holloway
Is he?
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Do I have you?
Mike Wright
And I actually have him around the wide receiver 2, 3 range. And he has him, he has him down.
Jason Moore
I could not agree.
Mike Wright
48 or something anymore.
Jason Moore
If, if Joe Hayden is out, he is a wide receiver, too, and I like him. He's going to get all the targets and he's going to be fine. But if Hayden is playing, I don't think Aiken is a good enough guy to beat one of the best corners in all of football.
Andy Holloway
He, he, he tips well. He is a good guy.
Mike Wright
Here's why I will say I am rising on Aiken even more this week. And this is why Cleveland has come out and said, well, Cleveland hasn't. But the reports are that they're stacking the box against four set. They understand that Flacco with limited weapons is the way that they want to be beaten, if that makes sense. I mean, they're going to be beaten. No, they're not necessarily.
Andy Holloway
They're the latest bullshit blurb on Joe Hayden. He is dealing with a broken finger in addition to his bruised ribs.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Andy Holloway
Which is what kept him out of.
Jason Moore
Do we know if he practiced?
Andy Holloway
He should be considered questionable.
Mike Wright
Great.
Jason Moore
Well, I mean, I would look at that on the morning and Akin is a fine start, but I don't like him against Joe Hayden.
Mike Wright
All right, let's take some time to focus on daily fantasy sports. You got your lineups. You need some values. Let's go and talk to Chris Meaney of the fantasy sports network.
Jason Moore
The Daily Dose.
Andy Holloway
The fantasy footballers are now joined again by Chris Meaney from the Fantasy Sports Network. He runs a fanduel show up in the Great White north and we're going to talk some dfs. What's going on, Chris?
Chris Meaney
Always a pleasure, guys, to jump on the Fantasy Footballers show and talk some football with you guys.
Andy Holloway
I love it and as do we. We are not going to spend a moment at all talking about the, the dfs, the news. That's in the headlines right now. We're just gonna move on and treat everything like everything's going great and let's set up some DFS lineups. So who are, who are the, who are the big name guys? The high Cash Rogers, those types of players that you are investing in this week.
Chris Meaney
I think Le'Veon Bell needs to be in your lineups. I think you're going to spend on him. There's some value plays that maybe we can get to a little bit later which will help out. But he's got a great matchup against San Diego. Obviously we know there's no Big Ben. He's going to be a big part of that offense moving forward. I really like Tom Brady and I like Gronk. I think I'm playing Gronk in almost every single lineup. He's just safe. He's just really safe at the tight end position. You know, you can always really bank on at least 10 points from him. I feel like. So that's solid. Plus they get two weeks to prepare for a Dallas team. And Tom Brady at 88, I love that price as well. You want to go Matt Ryan 8:3, save a few hundred bucks against Washington. Secondaries fairly weak. I do like Aaron Rodgers this week and I think that it could actually be a contrarian play where he wasn't as successful as we thought he may be in San Francisco last week. People may think, okay, I'm not going to play him 92 against that St. Louis defense. It's seems so nice, but we saw Carson Palmer actually pile up a lot of yards last week. He just couldn't get in the, in the red zone. Well, they got in the red zone. They just couldn't get in the end zone. And I don't think Rodgers will have that issue at home against St. Louis. So I think that could be a contrarian play. I like all of that, but I'm really, my favorite play is Brady and Gronk.
Andy Holloway
And what about wide, high level wide receivers? Which ones are you buying into for this week?
Chris Meaney
Well, I think, you know, Julio Jones, again, he's always safe, but if you had him last week, you know, you weren't really happy. Of course, you know, he didn't do all that well. I think even Antonio Brown, I think people are down on him because of the fact that again, no Big Ben, I think Vic, you know, he came in, it was a short week. He has extra time to prepare. You know, we just missed Antonio Brown a couple times, especially in the end zone. If Antonio Brown caught that Ball in the end zone last week. We're not talking about Antonio Brown being all that worse without Big Ben. So I think that could be another contrarian play at 86 that I do like a lot.
Andy Holloway
Okay, so let's, let's talk about some middle, middle tier guys like how. What are your thoughts on Larry Fitzgerald? I think he's probably still priced at a point where you can add him and not break your bank. So like a Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald stack or and then I'll throw one more out at you, a Philip Rivers, Keenan Allen stack. How do you feel about those?
Chris Meaney
Yeah, I do like Keenan Allen. You know, just you get Gates back in that offense. Keenan Allen is a guy that.
Mike Wright
I don't know what it is.
Chris Meaney
I don't have anything wrong with him. It's just sometimes I feel like he just lets me down. He'll have the.
Andy Holloway
I feel the same way. So just so you know.
Chris Meaney
Yeah, well, there's just no consistency with him. It's. It's really weird sometimes he gets, you know, the double digit targets will flirt with the 2015-20 targets and all of a sudden he's just nowhere to be found. So I have a hard time really trusting him. In cash games, in games where I want to put out my best possible lineup. Lara Fitzgerald seems to be for real guys. I mean obviously this is guy we know who has skill but he's been moving into the slot which is really helping. You know I, Bruce Arians was saying that just the move from the slot, you know, is the mismatch. Obviously he's got great hands so I think he's going to be sleep safe all year. And his price again at 74 just seems to be really, really nice. It's too nice to pass up again. I've been on this Philly train a couple times. I'm still going back to Jordan Matthews at 6 8. A little bit of a couple letdowns, you know, a tough defense against the Jets. He was really nowhere to be found last week against Washington. Maybe this Philly offense can finally start to get going and again could be a contrarian play the Saints secondary again. I don't love it. So it's 6 8. That's a decent price too.
Andy Holloway
Okay, let's start talking some value guys. Are there any that off the top of your head or right in front of you that you just, you really feel strongly about this week?
Chris Meaney
I love Todd Gurley, I really do and I think he's going to be a popular play. But I don't care about it. It's six seven. I really, you know, watching the second half of that game against Arizona, he just runs so well and I think we're going to start to see him get more touches at six seven against Green Bay. That's a really nice place. TJ Yelden is, is awesome as well. Against Tampa Bay, only Forte and AP have more rushing attempts than TJ Eldon and Yelden is has the fifth most touches in all football with 80. There's just nobody else that's going to steal any touches in that backfield from him. So I love TJ Eldon at six six. Listen, if you know Carlos Williams can't go. Anthony Dixon seems to be somebody that you just kind of have to play. Like when we talked about a couple weeks ago with Freeman, this guy's going to get a lot of volume. Well, Anthony Dixon, if there's Nobody else there at 4 5, 45 is the cheapest you can go on FanDuel. So that's against the Titans. I like that as well. Kamar Akin, 5 8. You know, there's just nobody else in Baltimore. Steve Smith, there's a lot of injuries, a lot of banged up guys. You know, four set had the second most targets I believe on that team heading into last week. He's a running back. So I like, I do like 4 set. But Kamara Akin is really nice at 5 8. And if there's no Desean Jackson, maybe Jameson Crowder. I saw Jameson Crowder get a lot of targets last week against Philadelphia. So if there's. It doesn't look like Jordan Reed's gonna play. Doesn't look like desean Jackson's gonna play. Pierre Garcon's a little nicked up. I expect him to Play. But at 5:2, Jameson Crowder is a nice Price as well.
Andy Holloway
Okay, let's. Let's talk defense real quick here. What lower, lower value defenses do you like this week? Lower price, sorry.
Chris Meaney
I like Jacksonville. I like Jacksonville at 43 against Tampa Bay. You know, Winston just been throwing some picks and they're pretty good against the run. So if they can stop Doug Martin, then they can probably get some picks. I believe Winston has five already, so I like that price at 4:3 and I, you know what, I usually kind of roll out Philadelphia in one or two leagues just because the special team's opportunity, you get those extra points. You know, if Sprouls can find a way to get one back like he has done at times, a little revenge game against his former squad, maybe he can, he can do something There. But Jacksonville, I'm actually really safe. I really feel comfortable rolling them out at 4, 3, even though that they're the Jacks.
Andy Holloway
And we, we need your 1 pick here. The pressure is on Meanie. I'm not going to lie. People are talking, the Birds are talking about that Gary Barnage pick. They think, hey, we're focusing too much on that one pick. No, we are not. So I need that one tight end who's going to be spectacular this week and I can get him for mid to cheap price. You know, give it to me.
Chris Meaney
It could be, how much is Owen Daniels? Daniels. The trend here, it had nothing to do with Gary Barnage being all that good. It's that old.
Andy Holloway
Yes, it did, Chris. It was all Gary Barnage.
Chris Meaney
It's that Oakland defense. It really is. You know what? I had the chance to talk to Matt Forte this week. We did an interview. It's going to air on the network.
Jason Moore
What?
Chris Meaney
Yeah, this weekend. And I asked him about, you know, was it a game plan to really attack that secondary in Oakland? You know, the tight ends, they had given up five touchdowns before Bennett. We saw Bennett wide open, nobody around him last week in the end zone against Oakland and he had a nice day and he said, listen, he had a little smirk. He says, things change from time to time. We're not going to give all our secrets, secrets out. But it's a copycat league and I think that we're going to see this trend continue. Oakland's having some issues guarding that tight end, so everyone was high on Owen Daniels this year because of QBAC Peyton Manning. We haven't seen it yet. I think this could be the week where, you know, if he gets a touchdown, you're good to go. He's cheap. He's 4 9, which is fairly nice. If you're not going to go Gronk, you're going to save a lot of money on Owen Daniels.
Andy Holloway
All right, so thanks again to Chris Meaney from the Fantasy Sports Network. Where can people find you on Twitter, Chris?
Chris Meaney
Yeah, at Chrismenie. M E A N E Y Feel free, guys. Anybody who has a question or two, I'll always be around to answer and hopefully I'll be able to help you out.
Andy Holloway
All right, we'll talk to you next week, Chris.
Chris Meaney
All right, thanks, guys. Enjoy the week.
Mike Wright
All right, let's go ahead and get into the listener mailbag and answer some questions from the Foot Clan.
Jason Moore
Mailbag.
Mike Wright
All right, Michael is in, boss. You know, I don't know what somebody tweeted me. I do they said, why do you make Mike sing the Mailbag every time? Why not just record it?
Andy Holloway
Because then I can change it up, man.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
I live on the edge. I live off, off the cuff things. Come.
Mike Wright
We are doing it live.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. O'Reilly, did you not hear the Mailbag Friday? I mean, you can't get that sweet Mailbag Friday action if I pre dump it.
Mike Wright
I know.
Andy Holloway
Get out of here.
Mike Wright
Don't pre dump because I am a professional. Don't pre dump. All right, Michael. In Baltimore, you guys are great. I listen every day. I have Peterson, Ivory, and Marshall on the by. Well, that's a good roster, though. I'm playing for set and Latavius Murray at running back and Calvin Johnson and Alan Robinson at wide receiver. I need help at my flex position. If Jeffrey plays, it's a no brainer, but if he's out again, does he play Booby Dixon or Willie Snead?
Jason Moore
Hmm.
Andy Holloway
Going with Snead.
Mike Wright
You got the need for Sneed?
Jason Moore
Yeah, I was just gonna say I need to have the right player. So I'm. I'm going Willy Sneed.
Andy Holloway
How did I not see that?
Mike Wright
I got the knee. It's just a need.
Andy Holloway
Sometimes they're too obvious need, and it's right there in front of your face.
Mike Wright
Yeah, well, now we'll get it. We'll get a nice Photoshop for that. All right. Dylan in Charleston. Hey, guys, I have Green, Edelman, Hankerson, Robinson. I need to pick two. What are concerned with Green getting Sherman? No.
Andy Holloway
Ooh, the Shermanator.
Mike Wright
Sherman plays on one side. If you didn't know, Calvin was just fine. And A.J. green is start every week. You guys disagree with me?
Jason Moore
No, no. When you've got the top, you know, one of the top seven wide receivers, you know, I don't care about Joe Hayden or Sherman. You just start them every day.
Mike Wright
Get some moxie. Throw your guy out there. Don't worry. Don't be afraid.
Andy Holloway
Green and Edelman are the place.
Mike Wright
Tim in San Francisco, who should I flex? Jeremy Hill against the Seahawks or Doug Martin against the Jaguars? And this is rough.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I think I'm going Doug Martin. In fact, by I think I'm going Doug Martin.
Mike Wright
I agree.
Andy Holloway
I checking my rankings, especially with Jeremy.
Mike Wright
Hill, even if it's a miniature question mark like one of the teeniest ones. You can see with the limited description in practice this week, I'm going Dougie.
Jason Moore
Dougie.
Mike Wright
Dougie Smalls, you are going Doug Martin.
Andy Holloway
You have number 10.
Jason Moore
I've got him 15. And I think I've got Jeremy Hill.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I'm 35. I'm going Doug Martin, and I don't feel good about it.
Mike Wright
Maybe you should go trade Jeremy Hill for Doug Martin in our main league.
Andy Holloway
Oh, you think he would take it?
Mike Wright
I think he would take it. I don't even know if I saw Martin's on his bench. Martin last week. All right, Onion boy. Onion boy in New Jersey. I don't know if that's his real name. Rank these players in order of who you would flex. Ronnie Hillman at Oakland. C.J. anderson at Oakland. Gio Bernard vs. Seattle. Or Mike Evans.
Jason Moore
Mike Evans. This week. The matchup is a thing of beauty. I would. If he's saying rank them, I would go Mike Evans, C.J. anderson, Gio Bernard, Ronnie Hillman.
Mike Wright
I am counting on Mike Evans for a big week.
Jason Moore
This is the one week where I'm not afraid. I don't. I feel like most weeks you're Evans or V. Jacks, but this week I'm playing both.
Andy Holloway
I agree with everything that has been said in that segment.
Mike Wright
All right, and now it's time for. Mike apologizes to Jeremy Macklin.
Andy Holloway
Jeremy Macklin.
Mike Wright
Oh, my goodness. He's really gonna do it.
Andy Holloway
I owe you nothing.
Mike Wright
I'm gonna try to sneak that one in as often as I can. What if he puts up like 10 for 148 again this week?
Andy Holloway
Here's what I will say. Jeremy Macklin.
Mike Wright
What excuse will you make then?
Andy Holloway
Jeremy Macklin, give the ball to Travis Kelce.
Mike Wright
Well, like lateral.
Jason Moore
Yes, you have.
Mike Wright
You were telling me this week you're disappointed in Travis Kelsey despite him being the number two tight end.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. In our. At least in our scoring format, he's the number two. And you. You still feel kind of bad about it, and that sucks.
Jason Moore
Let me ask you this. Is the cake not on the ground if Chase Daniel goes in.
Andy Holloway
Wait, what?
Jason Moore
I'm saying if Alex Smith is taken out and there's an arm that will throw a ball deep.
Mike Wright
Alex Smith is fine. He had 300 billion yards last week.
Jason Moore
No, that's fine. I'm just saying Alex Smith is the ground, right? I mean, no, he is not the ground. In my world, the cake that's sitting on the ground. Jeremy Macklin's the cake and Alex Smith is the dude.
Mike Wright
The cake has been delicious for two weeks in a row. And you guys.
Jason Moore
That's Macklin.
Mike Wright
You guys are focusing on a couple you pull.
Andy Holloway
Last week was great. Last week was great.
Mike Wright
Are you going the garbage time again?
Andy Holloway
You pulled that cake out of a dumpster.
Mike Wright
Ridiculous. Jeremy Macklin puts up a Giant game, you don't give him credit. Like the yards don't count.
Andy Holloway
I don't give him credit.
Mike Wright
Oh, that's ridiculous. And yet Vincent Jackson's your boy. You are a hypocrite, my friend.
Andy Holloway
No, we played the button for Vincent Jackson. Who are you? You need to apologize to Vincent Jackson.
Mike Wright
No, I'm not apologizing to anybody.
Andy Holloway
It's the apology.
Mike Wright
Well, I need to watch some football. Let's go ahead and watch some football. This.
Andy Holloway
We need to watch some.
Mike Wright
Hey, we got the Twitter blitz is starting here in 20 minutes from when we're done recording this. What? What are you laughing at?
Andy Holloway

Andy Holloway
You want to ask about me undies?
Mike Wright
Well, you know, no.
Jason Moore
Is the answer.
Andy Holloway
No.
Mike Wright
All right, that's it for today's show. Thanks for listening. We'll be back on Monday recapping the games. Obviously, we'll be reflecting on Jeremy Macklin's huge performance over the weekend, which stinks because I'm playing against him.
Jason Moore
Doling out of water for Vernon Davis.
Mike Wright
Yeah, good. Bank on that. See you guys.
Andy Holloway
Goodbye.
Jason Moore
