Mike Wright
Marty, that's pretty good.
Jason Moore
You think we weren't gonna do something?
Mike Wright
Well, you know, It's Wednesday. It's October 21, 2015, also known as the future.
Jason Moore
We're officially in the future in it's.
Mike Wright
A beautiful future filled with hoverboards and starting running backs named Christine Michael.
Jason Moore
Oh, I like that.
Mike Wright
Welcome to this show. This is the Fantasy Footballers Podcast.
Jason Moore
I would. I would.
Mike Wright
The only show I started with what would Back to the Future.
Jason Moore
Oh, I would trade Kristen Michael for a pair of Nikes that lace up by themselves.
Mike Wright
I would, too.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I would trade it for the almanac. I'm just going to throw that one out there. I'd like to know all of the.
Mike Wright
If you look into the. If you look into the almanac, I mean, what do you see for the rest of this season with Christine Michael?
Jason Moore
Oh, that's a very good question.
Mike Wright
Exact stat lines, please.
Jason Moore
I see. I actually see a mediocre opening game because the Giants have a pretty decent running defense, which is surprising to I think all of us that they. They are a legitimately decent running defense. But I like Michael as an RB2 at least moving forward.
Mike Wright
Way to think fourth dimensionally, Mike.
Andy Holloway
You got it.
Mike Wright
Good job. We got a good show. We got the Mailbag show today. We're answering a bunch of listener questions on the show today.
Andy Holloway
Foot Clan.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
We got to get this over with because two thirds of the. The Fantasy footballers are going to an epic.
Mike Wright
Oh, yeah.
Jason Moore
An epic.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Jason Moore
Back to the Future marathon at the movie theater.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
Where much sodas and popcorns and Oreos.
Mike Wright
We will be. Mike and I will be at the movies from like 3:34 o'clock in the afternoon until after midnight.
Jason Moore
And it's going to be the greatest day of my life.
Mike Wright
Somehow, some way, maybe that, you know, maybe this was predicted 30 years ago, but somehow the wives are permitting this to take place. They are watching the children so we can gorge ourselves on popcorn.
Jason Moore
As the married fellows know, sometimes when the wife says, well, I'm not gonna say no, you got to know when you. You got to pick your battles. When they say, well, I'm not gonna say no, but this was one. That's one. You gotta. You gotta take it. You gotta go Back to the Future marathon.
Mike Wright

We have a good community of listeners that we, we can't. Can't thank enough. Yes, that would be, that would be the phrase that I'm looking for there. So quick question. Look back into the almanac. With so many mouths to feed In Cincinnati, is A.J. green still a top seven wide receiver?
Andy Holloway
Absolutely he is. I know there's a lot of mouths to feed, but there have been the same mouths to feed for the season and he's been just fine. He had one poor game and I think you're going to have that. You're going to have that from every top receiver. There's not going to be a receiver this year that does not have a poor game. So Yes, I think A.J. green is still a top seven.
Jason Moore
And the thing about A.J. green, he's only had that one explosive game which you'd like more big explosion games at your wide receiver one. However, why he's a great one is he's, you know, he's going to consistently put up points and on the year right now in standard he's 11. So he's still a wide receiver one. And like we said, he had a.
Mike Wright
77 yard touchdown taken back.
Jason Moore
That too. I mean he's too elite in his talent level and the Red Rocket is getting it done. Eventually AJ Green will get his and he's. And he is a fantastic plug and play guy for your lineup.
Andy Holloway
He's also a good guy to target because I see a lot of lineups absolutely. That have AJ Green with another good wide receiver just because they were able to be drafted that way. A.J.
Mike Wright
Green, somebody went two wide receivers at the end of the first round or something.
Andy Holloway
Exactly. And so now after a bad game, they feel that they can give them up and get something else of value. So a decent target.
Mike Wright
I agree. So we I know I promised a new segment that is getting pushed back a little bit, but we'll. We'll debut that either tomorrow or on Friday. So we're just. This is a mailbag show. We're going straight through week number seven coming up. Hopefully your team is doing well. If not, you're still in it. Keep fighting. Keep. And we're gonna help you out right now on the show. So you guys ready to get into the mailbag?
Jason Moore
Hold on. Yes.
Andy Holloway
Mailbag.
Jason Moore
Mailbag.
Mike Wright
It takes everything in me not to just, like, play constant sound effects and clips from Back to the Future all day because it's just got a special place in my childhood and adulthood. A special place in both.
Jason Moore
In my heart.
Mike Wright
Yeah. And I've got, you know, this die cast delorean sitting right here on our desk every day reminding me true story.
Jason Moore
Both Jason and I did not get paid for a month so Andy could buy the DeLorean.
Mike Wright
True story. True story. But it's really nice because when you turn the. The wheel, the tires move.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, that was worth it.
Mike Wright
Yeah. It has a working flux capacitor. All right, Riaz wants to know, James Starks or Carlos Williams, rest of the season, who would you rather have?
Andy Holloway
James Starks. I believe he has every bit as high in upside, but he doesn't require Eddie Lacy to be injured. So give me James Starks for sure.
Jason Moore
Completely agree.
Mike Wright
It's interesting because Carlos Williams, I was looking at this today. Every game he's played, he's been double digits the entire year. He's obviously scores every game. Yes, yes. And. But I mean, I'll take it not down. Shady obviously has the injury issues. I'm curious to see how this actually shakes out rest of season. I think it will be very close production wise. Obviously, if there's a major injury, one guy's going to run away, but. Very interesting. I agree with you. I would take. I would take Starks.
Andy Holloway
But if you were the shady owner, you'd rather have Carlos Williams right now.
Mike Wright
Definitely. And what I will say is this. This week either gone through this morning or if your waivers go through later, Starks is gone. He'll be picked up. Williams will hit waiver wires or he's on waiver wires. And so from a perspective of getting a valued guy, I still think Williams is worth owning 100% and he's on a lot of waiver wires, so. All right, let's ask the same question here. A couple different guys, though, rest of the season. Oh, I think we all know the answer to this one. Arian. Foster or Lamar Miller? This question's from Milan Foster, Arian Foster for sure. But what the going away?
Jason Moore
Yeah, and I completely agree it's glum. It's going away. The only concern for me for Foster is he almost all of his production right now is coming through the air and I guess that's not a concern. But just it's strange that he can't get it going on the ground. And as long as he stays involved in the passing game, he's going to be a tremendous running back asset, especially in a, in a point per catch league of some kind. But that still is a strange thing to be watching for Foster moving forward.
Andy Holloway
We saw in Hard Knocks in the offseason during training camp before Arian went down, when Hoyer was, you know, kind of the starter, Bill O'Brien saying, hey, if you're in doubt, just get it to Foster. Just if you don't know what to do, get it to Foster. And so I think that's not going to go away.
Mike Wright
Yeah, and the one thing to note, he's had two big time games but hasn't scored rushing touchdowns in them either. So even if these production and yardage isn't super high on the ground, you're still going to mix in some of those goal line opportunities for him.
Jason Moore
What's great about him is he's got that Lev Bell aspect because he aspect because he's doing so much in the air. If you get, if he gets you just 40 on the ground but then 40 through the air, that's he's giving you a good day.
Mike Wright
Yeah, he scored last week through the air. All right, Cole S in Fort Collins wants to know, would you give up Jeremy Hill to get Eddie Lacy?
Andy Holloway
This is a great question, really great question. Personally, I would not. The reason that I would not is because the next the schedule coming up here is really bad. First of all, Eddie Lacy's on a buy and then he comes back to a bad matchup where you don't know for sure whether it's going to be Eddie Lacey or James Starks. Wins matter and if you want to get to the playoffs, you got to be putting up the points the next two weeks. I expect Jeremy Hill to definitely outperform Eddie Lacy for those reasons. And so going long term, there's a lot of question marks on both guys, but I expect Hill to be pretty much okay. I don't think Hill is going to be relegated to that number two position for the rest of the season.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I think it's going to continue like it is in Cincinnati. But I agree with Jason that if you are, if you're looking at the schedule, these games elite, they look like Jeremy Hill games.
Mike Wright
Okay, so let me ask you caveat Mike. You're five and one. You're six, zero. Do you do this trade because you're looking long term with Lacy? Because I feel like you asked me long term. I'd rather have Lacy rolling out there during the, the last four or five weeks of the season than I would Hill maybe.
Jason Moore
But I'm sticking with Hill though because of Lacy. Just maybe it's all the injury and he heals up over the bye week, but he's done nothing. I mean he'll sure people, people are very upset with Hill, but Hill has had had two monster games and last week a good game.
Mike Wright
So what are their numbers compared comparatively on the year? Because Lacey still had some double digit games to start the year. I'm just curious, Jay, you looking at right now?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, right now Jeremy Hill's averaging 11 and a half per game and is the 19th ranked running back. I can look and see Lacey.
Mike Wright
Lacey's not 19, that's for sure.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, no, he's had a not a good run. He's averaging 8, 8.4. They're pretty close.36. Yeah, they are pretty close. They're both on by this week, so. So that's a really interesting. I don't want to highlight Eddie Lacey's buy and not, you know, not Jeremy Hill's, but Jeremy Hill comes back to what looks to be a very good schedule.
Mike Wright
All right, so you guys would not do it? I would do it. I would trade for Lacy. Wes in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma City?
Jason Moore
No.
Mike Wright
Would you do this?
Jason Moore
No. What you do is you. Oklahoma, where the do the whomp. I don't know the rest of the word.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, nobody does.
Mike Wright
It's do the womp. That's where the ba Ba. Do the whomplahoma.
Andy Holloway
Where they do the whomp.
Jason Moore
I think it's something about the wind blowing through the trees.
Andy Holloway
They romping.
Jason Moore
Is there trees in Oklahoma? It's very flat.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, because trees can't grow on flat ground. Touche. Go on.
Jason Moore
Flat as in nothingness. Just grass.
Mike Wright
Are there trees on that flat ground over there?
Andy Holloway
It's called the great trees make the ground all bumpy.
Jason Moore
Have you guys ever seen the Great Plains?
Mike Wright
No, I never have.
Jason Moore
It's very flat and very grassy.
Mike Wright
If you define an orchard, it would be trees on flat ground.
Jason Moore
Touche.
Mike Wright
Would you do this trade? I'm starting to give up on Randall Cobb. And I like the car Cooper connection. So would you. I'm guessing the trade is. Would you do Cobb for Cooper?
Andy Holloway
I would not. I would rather have Randall Cobb than Cooper. Cobb has been limited by his shoulder. He's getting a week of rest. I also think he's been limited by the fact not Devonte Adams going down has made an impact. Devonte Adams was the still in the position, the outside position, that number one wide receiver position that's gone away. So defenses have now rolled extra in addition to Jordy being gone with Devontae being gone to Randall Cobb. But I would rather have Randall Cobb. Even with his bad weeks, he's still averaging well more than Amari Cooper after the buy.
Mike Wright
I would rather have give me Cobb.
Jason Moore
Cobb. I don't man, I'm pretty Cobb. I'm pretty tempted to get Cooper right there. I think I'm it.
Mike Wright
This is just a matter of if Aaron Rodgers was throwing to Cooper in Oakland, I'd be. I'd be on the Cooper side.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I can understand that.
Mike Wright
I'm fine with the talent.
Jason Moore
He. I'm going to take. I think I'm going to take Cooper.
Mike Wright
Okay. Ray in Virginia, Jarvis Landry for Randall Cobb. So if you're in that situation, would you take Landry for Cobb? Ooh, there's no chance I would do that, is there?
Jason Moore
You just know what chance you would take. Landry not for Cobb.
Andy Holloway
So the real question is, would you trade Landry for Cooper? Who do you have higher, Landry or Cooper? Cooper.
Mike Wright
That's why this trade isn't as close. I have Cooper higher than Landry. I got it Would go Cobb, Cooper.
Andy Holloway
Landry, rest of season, I am with you. I think in a PPR though, I would go Randall Cobb still first, then Landry, then Cooper.
Jason Moore
Landry is so consistent in a PPR.
Andy Holloway
And he consistently does not get touchdowns other than the one last week.
Jason Moore
Yes, he's not scoring. He did score last week. But Landry is among the league leaders in red zone targets and end zone targets. So these are. This is one of those things where I think the market will correct itself and Landry will start to score some touchdowns.
Andy Holloway
You're hoping he can get those end zone touchdowns.
Mike Wright
That is one of my better touchdowns. I like end zone touchdowns as opposed to what midfield Bradford throws. Yeah. Seriously. So you heard it right before the Back to the Future music at the beginning of the show. But listen, Audible is offering our listeners, the Foot Clan, a free audiobook of your choice. Andy Holloway
I actually was able. I've used audible for years and when I went back to college and got my degree just a couple years ago, I was actually able to get some of my school books on there and listen to them. That was very interesting to me.
Jason Moore
And I have stockpiled the Game of Thrones. I mean, clearly everything is insanity right now and we are extremely busy. But I've got all five Game of Thrones books waiting as soon as the off season hits, which the offseason never truly hits for the fantasy footballers, we continue throughout. But Game of Thrones, man, I am going. I'm diving in.
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah. So check it out. Get any book that you want, a book of your choice for free. Just go to audiblepodcast.comballers and grab your free audiobook download. So let's continue in the mailbag. This one comes in from Andy.
Jason Moore
Hey, Andy, Wait a minute.
Mike Wright
In Boston?
Andy Holloway
Sure it is.
Mike Wright
I'm not in Boston, guys. Rest of season. Barnage or Olsen?
Andy Holloway
Olsen going away. It's a PPR in addition to. And so I mean Olson's targets and receptions are incredible. Barnage.
Mike Wright
Yeah, but how many butt catches does he have? Zero. Yeah, so Barnage, my league scores 50 points for Butt catch.
Andy Holloway
I'm just going to say if your league's got scoring for butt catches, Barnage is going to be your your man. Otherwise, I mean, Barnage got two touchdowns last week, but a lot of people don't realize he got three receptions total, two of those.
Mike Wright
So he converts the high percentage of his catches to touchdown.
Andy Holloway
Barnage is fine, but he is no Greg olson.
Jason Moore
Olson's getting 30% of the target share in Carolina.
Mike Wright
He is the breaking Quebec.
Jason Moore
Hey, bonjour.
Mike Wright
I can't go on. I own both Jimmy Graham and Greg Olson. Should I hold on to both and play matchups or do I try to trade one of them? If so, which one?
Jason Moore
I would try and trade Jimmy Graham off the heels of that humongous game.
Andy Holloway
Me too.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I think Jimmy's going to continue performing well, but I still agree he's the one to trade of these two so I could get in the way of that.
Andy Holloway
So You're.
Jason Moore
You think Graham over Olson? Rest of.
Mike Wright
No, no, no, no.
Jason Moore
Okay.
Mike Wright
All I'm saying is that like, I think Graham will have a good rest of season, but I still like Olson more. And if you can trade Graham on the heels of that and get value, go do it. So. And that's a question a lot of people are asking is whether Jimmy has the ability to do this the rest of the season. I think he does.
Andy Holloway
I think he has the ability to do exactly what he did the rest of the season, what he's done, which is he's going to have his games and he's going to have his stinkers.
Mike Wright
That's every tight end almost. That's almost every tight end. I mean, you go look at Greg Olson, he had a couple, what, three point games? I mean, Jimmy Graham right now is number six. He had, I would say he had three good games and three bad ones. So you're saying 50, 50.
Andy Holloway
Every other week you're going to have a good one. Every other week you're going to have a bad one with other guys like Greg Olson. Every now and then you're going to have a bad one. But I don't think it's going to be as often.
Mike Wright
You are correct. I do think that Russell Wilson starting to trust him a little bit more. So we'll see what happens. I'm not Geneva. I have the opportunity to stash a wide receiver. So rest of season and rest of career, ready? Score them both ways. Wait, what? Keeper, league, rest of season, who do you like more? And then rest of career, who do you like more? Philip Dorsett, Devin Funches, Dorielle Greenbeckham and Stefon Diggs. I already know my answer.
Andy Holloway
Giving it to us.
Jason Moore
Rest of season, I'm going to take Stefan Diggs.
Mike Wright
As am I.
Andy Holloway
Me too.
Jason Moore
Rest of career, I'm going to take the guy with the hall of Fame, the most likely to have a Hall of Fame quarterback, and that is Philip Dorsett.
Mike Wright
I agree with Greenbeck. I'm very close behind.
Andy Holloway
I. Yeah, I'm definitely on Stefan Diggs and long term. I mean, I was really high on Dorsett when he was drafted, but they're using Moncrief and then they resigned.
Mike Wright
They used Dorset last week.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, but yeah, I'm just saying I thought that Ti Hilton was going to be gone before after the draft and so. But I still will take the guy with under Luck.
Jason Moore
Eventually Andre Johnson will be gone, not clogging the field with his oldness and gray hair.
Mike Wright
Hey, Andrew Luck under threw him A couple times because he didn't realize how fast Andre Johnson is.
Jason Moore
Yeah, that's probably what happened.
Mike Wright
Seriously? Gregario. Gregario. Gregario in where? South America.
Jason Moore
America. Marika. America.
Mike Wright
Ah, South America.
Jason Moore
Hold on. We're gonna audit this.
Mike Wright
What do you mean? He clearly meant America.
Jason Moore
Did he?
Mike Wright
Yeah, he's just being fun.
Andy Holloway
I hope there's a country that called South America. America.
Mike Wright
Yeah. I have both Martavis Bryant and Antonio Brown. I was wondering what your thoughts are on having both of them in the lineup. Are they startable? I think yes. With Big Ben.
Andy Holloway
I was gonna say, I do think.
Mike Wright
You could start them both with Big Ben because.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Mike Wright
You know, let's say you. What's the over under on Big Bend touchdowns per week? Is it about two and a half? Three?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I would say.
Mike Wright
I mean, where are they going? They're going to those two guys.
Andy Holloway
Yep. I completely agree. You do not want to start them both this week.
Mike Wright
I wouldn't want to start them both against Denver.
Andy Holloway
What's that?
Mike Wright
I wouldn't want to start them both against Denver.
Jason Moore
The. The question from Artavis Bryant coming into the year has always been usage. Where last year he seemed to be the kind of one trick down the field. He's just, just go the nine fly down the field. But. And we, we have a very small sample size of. We don't know exactly how he'll be utilized, especially when Big Ben comes back. But he was involved in his touchdown was a. A short pass and his, his end zone or I'm sorry, his red zone touchdown. And then we saw him with his freakish alien ability take that quick slant all the way up.
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah. He is supremely talented. The alien. Marty McBride, good friend of the show.
Jason Moore
Martin.
Mike Wright
Matt. Matt wants to know he's plagued by bi weeks underachievers. Who does he start between? Duke Johnson or Melvin Gordon? This week the matchups are Melvin Gordon against the Raiders and Duke Johnson against the Rams in St. Louis.
Andy Holloway
Melvin Gordon, he's still going to be the starter. They came out and they, they wouldn't specifically name him, but what they said, what the head coach was saying was basically they're. They're going to keep giving him the ball. They're going to move on from this moment and obviously if he fumbles again, I think he's going to be benched again. But he's got a good matchup. He has looked good on film. He just needs to learn how to hold on to that ball, man.
Jason Moore
I think the coach was saying, please, please, Melvin Gordon, do not make Me give the ball to Brandon Oliver. I will if I have to.
Mike Wright
I think Gordon don't do it. Gordon and Abdullah have a water bet on fumbles and it's currently tied, I believe at four. So that's a tight competition.
Andy Holloway
Four fumbles in six games.
Jason Moore
Is that bad?
Andy Holloway
That's no good.
Mike Wright
No, not good. Mike in New Jersey in a half point PPR league, he needs three of these guys. Carlos Hyde, Dion Lewis, Garrett Blunt, Christine, Michael. Who should he start?
Andy Holloway
So which one do you sit is really. He's got four guys. Start three. Dion Lewis.
Mike Wright
I wouldn't be starting Lewis and Blunt against the Jets.
Andy Holloway
I agree. So against the jets with the best run defense, you've got to go Deion Lewis as your starter. So that means it's. The question is answered. Dion.
Mike Wright
Say it. Andy, Christine, Michael. Yeah. Actually watch the practice reports. If he's not guaranteed to get get a good workload, throw Blunt out there. Come on. All right. Barry Soggy, Blanket Baron in Houston. Delaney Walker or Ben Watson for tight end this week. He is also a Foot clan member.
Jason Moore
On jointhefoot.com so Walker gets the Falcons and Walker will be playing with his.
Mike Wright
Old friend Zach Mettenberg. Walker had a good week this week anyway. He was like 8 for 98 or something like that, right?
Jason Moore
Well, I'm just saying that he has. He has a history established already with met.
Mike Wright
Give me Delaney. Give me Delaney.
Andy Holloway
Where's Benjamin Watson?
Jason Moore
He is playing at Indianapolis on the road.
Andy Holloway
I don't expect them to be as good as at home.
Jason Moore
So, yeah, I'm taking Walker.
Andy Holloway
Walker, Texas Ranger.
Mike Wright
Yep. John in Ottawa.
Jason Moore
Bonjour.
Mike Wright
There you go. With Ifert on by. Do I roll out Whitten at the Giants?
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Mike Wright
Charles Clay at Jacksonville or Benjamin Watson at Indianapolis? I would roll out Whitten.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I would roll out Whitten. Both him and Clay I think are good options, especially with the missing pieces for Clay. I mean, the fact that other guys are gone. But the New York Giants defense has given up a lot to the tight end and could have this last week to Zach Ertz if Sammy Biscuits hit him on some of those touchdown runs. So I would. I would go. Jason Whitten with the quarterback there is going to be checking down a lot. So I agree.
Jason Moore
I like Whitten.
Mike Wright
All right. I'm going to test your Bortles. Love, Mike, because you have him as your stream of the week.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Mike Wright
Blake Bortles against Buffalo. This is from the Boss.
Jason Moore
I was really hoping you read it correctly.
Mike Wright
The Boss OR Philip Rivers vs. Oakland? Bortles vs. Buffalo Rivers vs. Oakland.
Jason Moore
Blake Bortles is my stream of the week, but Philip Rivers is an every week starter right now. There's no possible way you sit him down. He is on fire and he's going up against Oakland who have not had very much success stopping quarterbacks and wide receivers. I look for Rivers to have a top five week.
Andy Holloway
I would gladly sit Rivers in a bad matchup as I would Blake Bortles, but this is a great matchup.
Mike Wright
So yeah, I go Rivers. Pedro in San Paulo, Brazil.
Jason Moore
Hold on, hold on. So a bad matchup for Philip Rivers, like so you would, you would have to have considered Green Bay a terrible matchup.
Andy Holloway
I agree. And I. Yeah, I mean, I know what you're saying. That wasn't a very good matchup and he put up 500 yards, but he has not been week in, week out. Great. He's had his bad weeks this year and I think that that's one of those things where I didn't expect it this week at Green Bay, but if they were playing the jets or they were playing, you know, another team like that, I wouldn't. I would look for other options.
Jason Moore
All right.
Mike Wright
All right. So Pedro in San Paolo, Brazil. Should I start Alex Smith or send in the car?
Jason Moore
Oh, man.
Mike Wright
Send in the car. Send in the car. That's not even close to me. Macklin is potentially injured. Albert Wilson could be your top running wide receiver. You have no Zeus. Okay. I use the word wide receiver very clearly, did I not?
Jason Moore
It doesn't matter. Probably all targets to Zeus.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Okay. It's. It's Derek Carr by a lot.
Jason Moore
So who are the Chiefs playing? The Chiefs are playing the Buccaneers. Oh, they're looking at the Steelers. Yes.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, my stream.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I'd go. I'd send in the car.
Mike Wright
Send in the car. George in Glendale. So he's out here.
Jason Moore
Hey, George.
Mike Wright
After watching the Colts.
Jason Moore
Is that Glendale?
Mike Wright
It's Arizona. Yeah. Okay, says Glendale. Az. After watching the Colts Pats game last week, he noticed Edelman had a weird pinky injury. He noticed that LaFell is coming back week seven. Is LaFell a good flex start in PPR?
Andy Holloway
No.
Mike Wright
0% chance that I would start Brandon Lefe. This.
Andy Holloway
Love Brandon lefell. We should have talked about him more on our waiver wire show. We did when we went on Chris Harris yesterday. LaFell should be picked up, should be rostered. He is the starting outside wide receiver for Tom Brady. Great. However, he's coming off an injury. We haven't seen him used yet.
Mike Wright
And no, there's no Guarantees back in week seven. In fact, I'm predicting that he is not.
Jason Moore
If, if there is full practice, like, oh, he's. He's full practice at least multiple days, then I'm okay starting him. But if he's. If he's just limited every single day, then I'm not very comfortable doing it.
Mike Wright
All right, let's answer a question from Jason in Madison Heights, Missouri. With Macklin most likely missing this week, like we just said, who would you start at your wide receiver two spot? Vincent Jackson, Michael Crabtree, Jameson Crowder, Kamara Akin?
Jason Moore
I think it would be Michael Crabtree for me.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I would go Crabtree, Jackson, Crowder, Aiken.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Jackson is a very gifted wide receiver as we have seen. He takes on Washington on the road and he's just, he's been so inconsistent. I mean, he, he could give you two points. He could give you 20 points where Crabtree is giving you a nice floor because Carr has to throw the ball so much. And, and for those who aren't aware, Crabtree is out targeting the great rookie Amari Cooper. And there's Art and there's more talk of we need to get Crabtree even more involved. So I like Crabtree.
Andy Holloway
Yep. I'm in complete agreement.
Mike Wright
And for those that are Kamar Akin owners, he's. He's all right. He's caught a late touchdown last week, but with Steve Smith back in the fold, by the way, did you guys that Steve Smith is considering not retiring into the year?
Jason Moore
What had happened when you read into his. He just dodged the retirement question. He didn't. He did not say I'm considering not. He just dodged.
Mike Wright
That is very fair. That was a bit of a stretch by me. But he dodged the question. That team is playing so poorly. That might not be how he wants to go out and he's playing so well that he might have another year in him. I'm going to predict he may.
Jason Moore
He may.
Mike Wright
All right, we read that one Peter in Boston. Should he drop Antonio Andrews for Christine Michael?
Jason Moore
Yes.
Mike Wright
Should he drop Charles Johnson for Stefan Diggs?
Jason Moore
Yes, probably.
Mike Wright
I would say absolutely.
Andy Holloway
Absolutely.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Because Charles Johnson, when he was in there, wasn't doing anything so great. Maybe he comes and takes over the starting role and you don't need seven Diggs. Drop him again. You're not going to get anything from Charles Johnson.
Mike Wright
All right. Evan wants to know he's looking to trade away Marshawn lynch for Alshon Jeffrey. I assume do it.
Andy Holloway
Well, I assume if you're looking for this, then it's a need based decision. You're. You're in need of wide receiver and you've got depth at running back. I think there's a fair trade. I love Alshon Jeffrey. I think he's a top 10 wide receiver every week that he plays. Generally, I prefer running backs to wide receivers, but if you, if you're deep at running back and you have a need for wide receiver, I think this is a great trade.
Jason Moore
I would try to. If I would try and get a lesser running back back in the, in the trade. If you have to include a lesser wide receiver in the deal, then I would do that.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
But if you want Alshon, then the trades fair to me.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I agree. So, Mike, why don't you tell the people a little bit about jointhefoot.com our fantasy community.
Jason Moore
Jointhefoot.com look people, this site is spectacular, okay? It is. It is. Got to be the fastest growing fantasy football community on the Internet. It's the best way to support us. As we said, we are an independent podcast, grinding it out daily, weekly, monthly, yearly. We do it all.
Mike Wright
You even overcame a dead battery situation to get to the show yesterday.
Jason Moore
I sure did. It was a disaster of a morning.
Mike Wright
And you came in and your hair was just poof out to the side like Doc Brown. Right?
Jason Moore
Never, never.
Mike Wright
Always got that bun in shape.
Jason Moore
It's actually a loose man bun.
Andy Holloway
Oh, I apologize.
Jason Moore
Thank you. Accept it. But you really don't join the foot that. It's a great place for our fans to congregate, interact with us. There's awesome exclusive content from the show. There's an extra show every week. We do five for everybody. But you want a sixth show, boom, available.
Mike Wright
Yeah. And it's a show where we're only answering questions from jointhefoot.com members. So it's pretty cool to check out. People enjoy it, they like it. It's good stuff.
Jason Moore
And you get to, you get sometimes get to make us do ridiculous things. Ridiculous, cool, embarrassing. I mean, that's how we got that eight hour Twitter blitz was from jointhefoot.com yeah. There is a potential spray tanning of the three of us coming up.
Mike Wright
I still am dreading that in a good way. I'm dreading it in a good way. Like Christine Michael. I'm dreading him in a good way for ownership. So yeah, check that out. We appreciate everybody out there listening to the show. We've got my favorite two shows of the week are coming up Thursday, Friday. I mean, I love those shows. You're looking forward to week seven. We Talked through the matchups. We got our starts of the week. We got our DFS segment with Chris Meaney on Friday. Mean, I'm gonna, we're gonna debut a new segment you have yet to hear, but should be pretty cool on Thursday and Friday. It's and, and Mike and I will be dead, dead tired from the three movies that we're watching sequentially in the movie theater like children.
Jason Moore
Yeah, we could have, we may have butt cheek related injuries.
Mike Wright
No way, man. I got us tickets at that theater that's got the recliners. Oh, we're in good shape.
Andy Holloway
Very nice.
Mike Wright
My goal at this point is just not sleep through any of the three and fall asleep in the movie. So anything else going on? You guys got any bold future predictions for this week?
Andy Holloway
I took Jarvis Landry as my stream of the week, so I'm good for the week. Jarvis Land or Landry Jones? Jarvis Landry as my stream does.
Jason Moore
When you hear the name Landry Jones, does that remind you of Indiana Jones at all? It does for me.
Mike Wright
Well, you know, almost everything does for you.
Jason Moore
Yes, you're. Yes. So I like Back to the Future, but my back to the future for you is Indiana Jones. My goodness, I love Indiana Jones.
Mike Wright
My back to the future for you. Oh, you like it more than.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Mike Wright
Back to the Future.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Mike Wright
Oh, okay. Yes, I respect that. I, I, my feelings on Indiana Jones is that the first two are not. They just don't come close to the third one.
Jason Moore
Fair.
Mike Wright
And so when I go back and.
Andy Holloway
Re watch them, Indiana Jones was little bit ruined to me by the last one.
Jason Moore
Just ignore that.
Mike Wright
Wait, yeah. What?
Andy Holloway
Not the newest one, the fourth one.
Mike Wright
That one didn't exist.
Andy Holloway
Exactly.
Mike Wright
That one was abducted by aliens.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Jason Moore
Literally.
Mike Wright
Yeah. So also a reminder, our rankings are coming out on the website today. They're normally towards the evening and people are like, oh, we need your rankings. We need them right away. Well, we try to, you know, we try to balance out like good information from camp and practice reports. Like if we just come out with those rankings on Monday, they will be so much more of a shot in the dark than they will be researched and thought through on Wednesday.
Jason Moore
You want my rankings? Kristen Michael, number one. Well, that's what you get if you demand.
Mike Wright
He's your starting tight end too. Right. This week. So yeah, no problem there. They'll be out today. You'll see them, we'll get them out there. And good luck this week, week seven. We'll talk to you tomorrow.
Jason Moore
Yeah. So goodbye, Jason Chewbacca.
Andy Holloway

Andy Holloway affirms A.J. Green's status as a top-seven wide receiver despite challenges:
“Absolutely he is. I know there's a lot of mouths to feed, but he’s been just fine… he's too elite in his talent level.” – Andy Holloway
Jason Moore emphasizes Green's consistency:
“He’s going to consistently put up points and on the year right now in standard he’s 11. So he's still a wide receiver one.” – Jason Moore [04:32]
Conclusion: A.J. Green remains a reliable WR1, offering consistent performance and high upside for fantasy teams.

The hosts debate whether to retain James Starks or Carlos Williams for the remainder of the season.
Andy Holloway prefers Starks:
“James Starks… he doesn't require Eddie Lacy to be injured. So give me James Starks for sure.” – Andy Holloway [06:48]
Mike Wright highlights Williams' consistent scoring:
“Carlos Williams… every game he's played, he's been double digits the entire year.” – Mike Wright [06:56]
Conclusion: While both players have merits, Starks is favored for his independence from Lacy's performance, making him a safer long-term option.

Arian Foster is the clear choice over Lamar Miller for the rest of the season.
Jason Moore notes Foster's versatility:
“As long as he stays involved in the passing game, he's going to be a tremendous running back asset.” – Jason Moore [08:06]
Andy Holloway adds that Foster remains integral to his team’s offense:
“If you don't know what to do, get it to Foster.” – Andy Holloway [08:52]
Conclusion: Arian Foster's dual-threat capability makes him the preferred running back moving forward.
Listener: Cole S from Fort Collins

The debate centers on whether to trade Jeremy Hill for Eddie Lacy.
Andy Holloway advises against the trade due to Hill's favorable schedule:
“I expect Jeremy Hill to definitely outperform Eddie Lacy for those reasons.” – Andy Holloway [09:24]
Mike Wright concurs, emphasizing Hill's consistent performance:
“I would trade for Lacy…” – Mike Wright [10:04]
Conclusion: Keeping Jeremy Hill is recommended, given his better matchup and reliability compared to Lacy.

When considering trading Randall Cobb for Amari Cooper, opinions diverge slightly.
Andy Holloway prefers Cobb:
“I would rather have Randall Cobb than Cooper. Cobb has been limited by his shoulder… he's still averaging well more than Amari Cooper after the buy.” – Andy Holloway [12:40]
Jason Moore leans towards Cooper:
“I'm pretty tempted to get Cooper right there. I think I'm going to take Cooper.” – Jason Moore [13:17]
Conclusion: The decision hinges on team needs; Cobb offers stability, while Cooper presents higher upside.
Listener: Ray from Virginia

When choosing between Jarvis Landry and Randall Cobb, the hosts provide clear guidance.
Andy Holloway favors Landry in PPR formats:
“I think in a PPR though, I would go Randall Cobb still first, then Landry, then Cooper.” – Andy Holloway [14:00]
Jason Moore and Mike Wright express strong support for Landry's consistency:
“You just know what chance you would take. Landry not for Cobb.” – Jason Moore [13:47]
Conclusion: Jarvis Landry is preferable for his consistent reception numbers, especially in PPR leagues.

Evaluating whether to start both Martavis Bryant and Antonio Brown alongside Ben Roethlisberger.
Andy Holloway cautions against starting both:
“Do not want to start them both this week.” – Andy Holloway [20:27]
Jason Moore highlights usage concerns:
“On the heels of that humongous game,” indicating potential fluctuations in their performance. – Jason Moore [20:09]
Conclusion: While both are talented, it's risky to start both in the same week due to potential overlap and variability.
Listener: Matt from Glendale

Choosing between Duke Johnson and Melvin Gordon for the week.
Andy Holloway supports Gordon despite fumble concerns:
“Melvin Gordon, he's still going to be the starter… he just needs to learn how to hold on to that ball.” – Andy Holloway [21:30]
Jason Moore echoes the sentiment, urging Gordon's reliability:
“Please, please, Melvin Gordon, do not make me give the ball to Brandon Oliver.” – Jason Moore [21:52]
Conclusion: Melvin Gordon is the preferred starter, provided he manages the ball better to avoid turnovers.
Listener: Mike in New Jersey (Half-Point PPR League)
Timestamp: [22:14]
Deciding whom to start among multiple running backs.
Andy Holloway recommends Dion Lewis due to his matchup:
“Against the Jets with the best run defense, you've got to go Dion Lewis as your starter.” – Andy Holloway [22:29]
Mike Wright advises monitoring Christine Michael’s workload:
“Watch the practice reports. If he's not guaranteed… throw Blount out there.” – Mike Wright [22:47]
Conclusion: Prioritize Dion Lewis based on favorable matchups, and consider Garrett Blount if Christine Michael's usage is uncertain.
Listener: Barry from Houston
Timestamp: [22:47]
Choosing between Delaney Walker and Benjamin Watson for a tight end spot.
Andy Holloway prefers Walker for his synergy with his quarterback:
“Walker had a good week this week anyway… he has a history established already with Met.” – Andy Holloway [23:09]
Jason Moore supports starting Walker over Watson:
“So yeah, I'm taking Walker.” – Jason Moore [23:35]
Conclusion: Delaney Walker is the recommended tight end due to his established role and recent performance.

Andy Holloway concurs, citing Rivers' strong matchup:
“This is a great matchup.” – Andy Holloway [25:08]
Conclusion: Philip Rivers is the clear starter given his consistent performance and favorable matchup against Oakland.
Listener: Pedro from São Paulo, Brazil
Timestamp: [25:12]
Choosing between Alex Smith and Derek Carr for a starting quarterback spot.
Jason Moore and Mike Wright favor Derek Carr:
“I'd send in the car.” – Jason Moore [26:24]
Conclusion: Derek Carr is the preferred quarterback stream option over Alex Smith.
Listener: George from Arizona
Timestamp: [26:44]
Determining whether to start Brandon Lefe or Zach Ertz.
Andy Holloway advises against starting Lefe due to his recent performance and injury concerns:
“No, I would not. I would rather have Randall Cobb than Cooper.” – Andy Holloway [27:02]
Jason Moore supports starting Ertz:
“If he is full practice… then I'm okay starting him.” – Jason Moore [27:19]
Conclusion: Zach Ertz is the safer and more productive choice over Brandon Lefe for this week.

Conclusion: Stefan Diggs is favored for immediate impact, while Philip Dorsett presents strong long-term potential.

Jason Moore concurs, suggesting fair trade value:
“If you want Alshon, then the trade’s fair to me.” – Jason Moore [29:56]
Conclusion: Trading Marshawn Lynch for Alshon Jeffrey is advisable for teams needing WR depth and possessing running back reserves.
