Jason Moore
And you will kill them. That's. That's pretty dark.
Mike Wright
Oh, thanks, Liam. That's good. Good friend of the show.
Jason Moore
Good friend of the show, Liam Neeson, thank you for coming on. Wow.

Jason Moore
Just taking some time. Some celebrity introductions to the ultimate draft kit.
Mike Wright
I am. I'm thrown off a little bit by this.
Jason Moore
We have a good show for you today. Andy, Mike, and Jason, back again. The Fantasy Footballers is June 23rd. It is Thursday. We are inching towards three shows a week, which will begin in July. Are you guys excited?
Mike Wright
Oh, super pumped. If we're at three shows in July, that only means that football is drawing extremely close.
Jason Moore
It only means that five shows is coming quickly.
Andy Holloway
One month after that, August. Five shows a week. Life is complete.
Jason Moore
Yeah, life is complete. Slash. That's a lot of shows. But I'm looking forward to it. I mean, it's great. No complaints from my hand. We got a good quick question for you.
Andy Holloway
Today.
Jason Moore
We are doing a game.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
That Mike has come up with.
Mike Wright
I have come up with a game. It is a. It is a twist on a game that I believe the most of you will recognize the concept of the game. And we'll talk about it more when we get there.
Jason Moore
Yeah. But it is essentially, you will be making some decisions with your fantasy team, which is great because that's what you're doing right now if you're in a Keeper or Dynasty league. And that's what you will be doing with your redraft leagues.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. You guys can play along with us.
Mike Wright
Oh, yeah. And we're looking. It's. It's gonna be fun, gonna be light, maybe humorous. And some of these decisions may be like, oh, that's ridiculous. That won't happen. But we're put. Basically, you are forced into a corner here.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Forced into a court. You are like, a a rabid dog. And you got to make a decision.
Jason Moore
Look, your, your fantasy football ability is refined in the fire and we're going to put you, we're going to put you in the fire today and make you make some decisions with us and we'll make some and we'll make our arguments. You can do that on the fantasy footballers.com so quick question, gentlemen. Who have you been changing your opinion on lately? Because this is the season for changing opinions. We are water. We are not stone.
Mike Wright
Absolutely.
Jason Moore
When injuries, when quarterback situations change, we change because we are trying to project the future, not kind of sit on a prediction made in May.
Mike Wright
I'm jumping in here first because this guy might get taken if I don't do it right away.
Jason Moore
Taken, huh?
Mike Wright
And it. I see what you did and it's not that my opinion has changed. Like I'm not flip flopping. I am simply rising even more on this character. My, my esteemed colleague and the host of this show has already announced his love recently on the Twitter. And I'm going with. As he shakes his head, that's I had to get in here first.
Jason Moore
Yeah. You want to know? I'm shaking my head is I'm going to the rankings so I can find a new guy.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Because here's who I was going to say.
Andy Holloway
Good.
Mike Wright
And that is Russell Wilson. Mr. Russell Wilson up in Seattle. Look, one of the largest, largest questions of the offseason for Seattle skill players. What are they going to be doing? What are they going to look like? Will they try and turn their running backs either Kristen Michael, pro size, Thomas Rawls, whoever. Will they try and turn them into Lynch? Will they allow Russell Wilson to just be the man, be the man up there in Seattle like he was in the second half. And sure, we are definitely in the season of the coach speak. Where can you trust what is actually being said? But for Pete Carroll to come out and say that moving forward they expect that their offense will look closer to what it was in the Second half of the year that has. That has piqued my interest. We. We already liked Russell Wilson a lot on the show, but he has moved up for me and he is now currently my number two. Number two quarterback across the board.
Jason Moore
It's ridiculous that you chose Russell Wilson for this segment because he's my number one. That was going to be the headline. That's much more impactful.
Mike Wright
That's like, Andy, it's your turn.
Andy Holloway
Love it. Who's your guy, Andy?
Jason Moore
Well, luckily I don't just focus on one player in analysis, so I do have another player. I'm going to say that Latavius Murray is starting to creep.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Jason Moore
Up my board a little bit. He's at 27 on my rankings, which I believe makes him the lowest of the three of us. And so really, I have him higher.
Mike Wright
I did bump him up.
Jason Moore
Yeah, you do. You have him at 24, Jason, 21.
Mike Wright
I raised him up like Josh Groban.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
I have him at 27. And the reality for me is that he deserves RB2 respect. I mean, it's kind of ridiculous to have him at 27 with the workload that he has had before. You know, he's a guy who. Well, I don't have the number right in front of me. He's in the top five in attempts at the running back position. I know that he's somebody who, you know, is good after contact. He had 500 plus yards after contact this year. He's a player that deserves the respect of an RB2, at least because of the opportunity. And until something changes, I don't think I need to knock him down the board just because he didn't do what I hoped last year. You hope to see more flashy plays, some more big plays from Latavius Murray, and you hope to see more of the confidence of the coaching staff. And so those things didn't seem to come to fruition. But the plain and simple numbers of Latavius Murray tell me that he warrants to be in that. In that 18 to 22 range. And so that's. That's a guy whose opinion is. Is changing for me, whereas I think I just unfairly had him a little too low.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I.
Jason Moore
But Russell Wilson is my number one quarterback now. Latavius Murray, that could have been my cool story.
Mike Wright
It was a cool story on Twitter. But that's. That's all busted. We had to get to the new hotness, which was him raising up in my rankings.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Keep it up, Grobby.
Andy Holloway
And also I would like to welcome both of you to essentially my rankings. Right, Mike? After you made your changes, your top four just looked exactly like mine already did. Okay. Yeah. The worst intro ever to the show. I have a lot of guys that I've changed on recently in small ways. You know, I'm always bumping a guy up, bumping a guy down, affecting change in my mind. And I would say that obviously Kamar Aiken is one of those guys that I've actually changed on. I was anti Aiken and now I'm Aiken for some Aiken. But since we talked about him last episode, I'll. I'll throw a different name out there that I don't think we've really talked about. And it's really two names. But I was going to go with Gio Bernard. I'm rising on Gio Bernard a lot, which interesting. Necessitates a small lowering for me of Jeremy Hill. The more that I think about it and look at their offense, look at, you know, their quarterback coach going to take over the offensive coordinator role. The value where both of those guys are going in the draft, I believe that Gio Bernard is a really good, talented running back who has the trust of his team, of his offensive coordinator, of his quarterback. You know, he was used surprisingly a lot in the. In the red zone, not necessarily on the goal line. And for his opportunities, he should have scored more. So I think that he presents a really good value this year. And if that is correct, then Jeremy Hill, who I was kind of really high on coming into this year thinking, okay, this is going to be the time. I think now I'm just bumping him down to where most people are have Hill.
Jason Moore
Jeremy Hill is such a curious fantasy football case. There was an article by Jason Markham over on one of the Bengals websites and he kind of references Matthew Berry's top 100 stats article that recently came out. But the concept was this idea that Jeremy Hill is a simultaneous star and dud.
Mike Wright
Yeah. That makes.
Jason Moore
If you look at last year, I mean, I believe that, you know, nobody's had more touchdowns than Jeremy Hill since the time Jeremy Hill came into the league as far as the running back goes. And so you have these things that if you just read them independently, you'd be like, stud, stud. But then you had what. What took place last year, which is a disappointing fantasy impact.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
I will put it that way.
Andy Holloway
Didn't Jeremy Hill win the footy award from our show for most disappointing season?
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
And he finished as like the 14th best running back. So something crazy because of his touchdown totals. Really weird.
Jason Moore
Yeah. So Mike stole Russell Wilson. I had Latavius Murray. Whoa.
Mike Wright
That's slanderous. Accusations.
Jason Moore
All right, whatever, whatever.
Andy Holloway
Fight, fight.
Jason Moore
We're moving on. Maybe. Maybe we'll move on.
Andy Holloway
News and notes from around the league.
Jason Moore
If you ever wonder why sometimes the drops seem like they're on mute, it's because I've probably recently visited NFL.com and didn't want one of their advertisements to come through the speakers. So that's the kind of caution you have to have when, you know, as much as I'd love to advertise Visa to everybody here. Um. Alright, let's get into the news and notes.
Mike Wright
Not a lot today.
Jason Moore
No, no, not a lot. Mike, put these in. Brandon lefell says he and Dandy Dalton are on the same page. That is not news, Mike.
Mike Wright
I put it in because.
Jason Moore
Why?
Mike Wright
Because there is a someone on this staff who has said that he is rising on Brandon lefell.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I guess I could have gone with him as well. Yeah.
Mike Wright
Yeah. It's too bad we didn't have a close up of Andy's face and he's like shocked.
Andy Holloway
What are you.
Mike Wright
Because it was the look of someone who had it. Just a horrific odor had emitted from Jason's face directly into Andy's face.
Jason Moore
Jason could barely talk after he heard that. So this is in here so that we can talk about Brian lefell is what you're saying.
Mike Wright
Yeah. The floor is yours, Jason.
Andy Holloway
Okay.
Jason Moore
I don't think we do mean the floor because lefell establishes the fantasy football floor.
Mike Wright
He's got a really safe floor of zero.
Andy Holloway
Here's my thinking on Brandon lefell a couple of years ago in the Patriots offense. We know he finished, I believe as an. Was he a one or a two? I thought he finished 12th, but he was very high. He was very high for that season, so we know he can get it done. Obviously he was a garbage can for the Patriots last year. Dropped half of the balls that were thrown his way, it seemed. But the point of me rising on Brandon Lefell is not to say that I think he's going to be great. It's to say that he's going undrafted and he is as of right now, even though I like Tyler Boyd a lot, he's the number two in their camp. He's the guy that is right now filling in for Muhammad Sanu and Marvin Jones who just left and he's going undrafted while in deep. And I'm talking deeper leagues. I'm talking about where you go 18, 19, 20 rounds. I've had MFL 10s where they finish and you're 20 rounds deep and you don't draft a kicker and Brandon lefell is out there while you're picking up guys that.
Jason Moore
Okay, but let me ask you this. It's a simple question. If he, if he caught 49 passes for 627 yards and five touchdowns, is he worthy of being drafted again?
Andy Holloway
I just, I referenced the MFL 10 leagues. In those leagues at a late position, yes, because they're going to come in bunches.
Jason Moore
But what about a normal league?
Andy Holloway
In a normal league, probably not. I mean, if you're drafting 11 guys, then no.
Jason Moore
He's played seven years, six years. This will be a seventh year. His peak year other than. Okay, so with Brady in 2014, he had the 74 for 953 and 7, which. But five other years he has been. His peak has been 49 for 627 and 5. I just think he is really. I think he was in a perfect Brady like situation. This was like the jump shooter that got to play with Steve Nash. This was a player that has not shown me enough in six years to, to draft him personally. I mean, I think if you want to make him your Kamar Aiken instead of Kamara Akin, that's fine.
Andy Holloway
No, I would actually think Kamar Aiken is a guy that I can rely on in a flex spot. I don't think you're going to be able to necessarily rely on LA Fell in that spot. I'm just saying his, his value for where he's being drafted, his opportunity for where he's being drafted is being overlooked. That's. That's it. Please nobody, nobody go out there and say that I love Brandon lefell because that's not.
Jason Moore
Please everybody, everybody go out there and tweet about Jason Moore.
Andy Holloway
Tweet about my love for Tyler Boyd.
Jason Moore
If you need to tag him, it's JasonFFL you can find. We'll figure out what Brandon Lefell's Twitter is. I want you to assault Jason's Twitter with Brandon.
Andy Holloway
Don't do this to me.
Mike Wright
This is what I will say real quick is I like Andy Dalton. I think he's a competent quarterback. I think he can be very good for fantasy and that gives LaFell an opportunity. So there are probably plenty of guys being drafted over LaFell who should not be.
Andy Holloway
And I'm rooting against LaFell because I.
Jason Moore
Love if LaFell, if LaFell had a Leonard Hankerson type of impact on that team, that would be my expectation, which Is that's fair? Kind of. You know, you're probably going to see, you're going to see AJ Green, Geo, Ifert all get targets ahead of Lefell.
Andy Holloway
Agreed.
Mike Wright
Just to follow up, he was 21st in Standard in his super year.
Andy Holloway
Yep.
Jason Moore
All right, let's go with this bit of news here. Pete Carroll confirmed after minicamp that Lockett is a starting wide receiver again. Mike, you're really stretching this news. Peter reports Mark Cook really believes Charles Sims will see an increase in carries in 2016. Okay, that's. We can talk about that.
Mike Wright
Sure.
Jason Moore
Charles Sims is somebody that already outperformed value last year. He's somebody who is still not going high enough in drafts, providing a good, a good value this year. Increased carries.
Mike Wright
Yeah. And that's, that's where I think it's interesting that you need to talk about because if he sees increased carries clearly and so facto Doug Martin loses carries. And that's what Doug Martin brings to the table is a high volume of carries. And if Charles Sims is eating into that, I mean it doesn't even have to be significant. But let's say he takes 30 carries away from Doug Martin. That's a really big deal for, for a guy with. Sims is already the passing downs guy. And if you take, I don't remember how many carries Doug Martin had, but I know he was, he was over 200. But if you bring him down, I mean, people are taking him in the second, third round. That's going to really dent his value of a guy who shouldn't go there.
Jason Moore
If you buy into the narrative that now that Martin's been paid and he's had some inconsistent years, them having somebody they're confident in, in Sims, that's been productive behind Martin makes the transition to Mark Harry's, to Sims at least viable. It's not like a stretch to say, okay, if Martin starts to struggle, Sims is somebody they have enough confidence in to put him out there. But Sims still has to then succeed in running game as opposed to the past game, which we haven't really seen in the.
Andy Holloway
And their schedule. The first four games. Thank you. I think their first game, you can go with. No, I don't. But I know the first four games are.
Mike Wright
Speaking of schedule, here is what Doug Martin is going to be looking at. Week one against the Falcons, they're okay. They're okay run defense. But then at Arizona vs. The Rams vs. The Broncos @ Carolina, I mean, that's, that's not good. That's not a good starting schedule for.
Andy Holloway
Hard to get off To a good start for Doug Martin. It's going to be difficult to be running well five weeks into the season. He's going to get the opportunity. I still like Doug Martin. I'm not bumping him down at all. But like Andy said, if you buy into that narrative of they like someone behind him and he struggles and he's done that before, then you could see mid season kind of a little bit more. Trying to get Charles Sims involved here.
Jason Moore
Here's a question for you. What percentage of carries do you think Doug Martin had that he rushed for 20 or more yards on? You probably have no idea.
Mike Wright
But no, I know that he's a big play guy and I remember in the Eagle game, I think he had, he probably averaged 25 yards of carry as he torched them. But I'm going to guess, ooh, let's go with like 12%.
Jason Moore
That is a very high guess.
Andy Holloway
I will then guess 11%.
Jason Moore
5. I won 5% of his carries. He ran for 20 or more yards. But that was second in the league.
Mike Wright
The second idea what I was thinking.
Jason Moore
The second highest total in terms of big play, who had the most? I don't have that in front of me.
Mike Wright
Oh, just. So based on percentage of his runs. Okay. Yeah, he didn't necessarily have the most.
Jason Moore
He had the second highest percentage of big plays. I'm just speaking into the fact that, you know, we saw Martin come off the field frequently last year, but he was still efficient. He had big plays. It wasn't just the volume play for Martin. So I don't think I have any of the other news that I really want to get into. So.
Mike Wright
All right, so before we jump into the new game, the new fresh game.
Jason Moore
I hope everyone copyright mic. Right.
Mike Wright
Thank you. We want to tell the Foot Clan again about Pristine auction luck. A good, close personal friend of mine, he sent me a text message the other day and he says, guys, I'm gonna have to start a crowdsource funding for my mortgage because I'm spending everything over@pristineauction.com because it is so much fun. There is such a amazing stuff there. Elite, Elite level gear, autograph, sports memorabilia. Beyond that, they have more than just sports there. And here's the deal with Pristine Auction, you can bid on an item. If you don't win it, you pay nothing. This isn't one of those pay to pay to play type of things. You get to go bid, bid on whatever you want whenever you want and try and get some. Some just awesome, awesome autographed gear. So this is what we need you to do foot Glenn. You go to pristineauction.com that's P R I S T I N E auction dot com. Create your free account and let them know. Let them know that the footballers sent you to town to. To pillage their tremendous auctions. But just, just please jump on there, give it a try. I know that you're gonna love it. You're gonna find something that you have to have.
Jason Moore
All right? And now it's time for the. The one drop that Mike.
Mike Wright
My favorite.
Jason Moore
Forces me to play. Here we go.
Andy Holloway
I want to play the game.
Mike Wright
Yeah, it's the best.
Jason Moore
It's so bad, so bad that, you know, we can archive drop.
Mike Wright
This is what we'll do. I will, I will be. I will spearhead this. I will put a Twitter poll up that says, okay, that said, will be two answers of should we continue to use it or should we scrap it and we'll let the Foot Clan decide.
Andy Holloway
Alright?
Jason Moore
It'll stay. I know it'll stay.
Andy Holloway
Oh, will it?
Mike Wright
Because it's awesome.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Alright. Talk about this game.
Mike Wright
Alright, so here's the spin on this game. We're playing a little keep, trade, cut. So I'm going to give three names or whoever wants to read them out, we're gonna give three names and you have to make a hard line decision. You get to keep one, you get to trade one, but you also have to send one to the waiver wire.
Jason Moore
I like this because I assume you did not just pick out the same position. Right. You have multiple positions.
Mike Wright
There will be multiple positions.
Jason Moore
So a lot of people, when they see our rankings, they want to know how they would evaluate picks across position lines. So I like the idea that we'll be backed into these horribly difficult corners as Jason chokes. What are you choking on an 1890 Having a ginger cola in 1893?
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
So here.
Mike Wright
But here's the deal. Foot gland. So this could be a complete bomb. We don't know because we're trying this out live for you and we want you to play along while you're driving, while you're listening at home. So here, I'll start it off. I will kick it off immediately with this one. Trade, cut, keep. Carlos Hyde, Brandon Cooks, Latavius Murray. Trade, cut, keep. You have to keep one of those.
Jason Moore
Now this is a play on that. What is the other game is Mary. What is it like Mary Kill and.
Mike Wright
And, and other things.
Jason Moore
Oh, yeah. All right. That's why it's not that game.
Mike Wright
We, we have changed it. We've.
Jason Moore
All right. So keep, trade, and cut. We'll go with that.
Andy Holloway
Yep.
Jason Moore
Carlos Hyde, Brandon Cooks, Latavius Murray.
Mike Wright
And I cannot claim.
Jason Moore
I've got. This one's easy for me.
Mike Wright
I'll say I cannot claim responsibility for creating this game. Someone actually had tweeted, okay, one to me.
Jason Moore
I don't know if you figure out the name.
Andy Holloway
This is easy for me.
Jason Moore
This is very easy. Really, for me. For me, the keep is Latavius Murray, the trade is Brandon Cooks, and the cut is Carlos.
Andy Holloway
Exactly the same.
Mike Wright
I realized that as you. As you started off.
Jason Moore
I get it.
Andy Holloway
Latavius Murray, he doesn't have that much value. He's a really ugly name right now. People like to hate.
Jason Moore
I mean, I just think he's not sexy, whatever that is.
Andy Holloway
That's exactly what I meant, though. I mean, he's not, but whereas Brandon Cooks is. You know, he's a young, rising superstar wide receiver. People love him. I don't think people are excited to draft Latavius Murray. When you get in your draft and you get Latavius.
Mike Wright
Certainly not.
Andy Holloway
You get there and you're like, I don't really like any of the other guys. So I guess I'll go Latavius Murray, Unless you're me, in which case you're going, oh, good, Latavius is on the board here. I'm grabbing him. So I'm going to keep him because I'm not going to get good trade value for him. Brandon Cooks, you're going to get a lot of trade value in Cooks. He had, you know, a great.
Jason Moore
Into the season.
Andy Holloway
Exactly. With so many touchdowns. And I'm not sure whether or not his touchdowns are going to be repeated at the same pace, in which case, you know, you want to trade high. You always want to trade high. You don't want to trade guys with low value. And then Carlos Hyde. Carlos Hyde was actually almost my answer for the quick question of the day. I was very close to saying that because I'm just realizing more and more I don't think I like him because I love the potential. I get the Chip Kelly off.
Mike Wright
Oh, you're moving you. As in you would be moving him down.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I started to get really high on him just for all the potential. But the reality is I just think they're going to be a really, really bad team. And I don't usually like a running back.
Jason Moore
Very difficult division, fourth round pick, doesn't catch passes on a bad team. So Hyde has. Has a lot of upside from a quantity standpoint in the system. But I. I See, I see the scars. That's how I'd go. Would you break it down the same way, Mike?
Mike Wright
I absolutely.
Jason Moore
Are we each answering these? Are we going to put each other for one?
Mike Wright
We'll each answer. We'll give our answer. Someone we can focus. Someone, one of us. How about that? I would actually keep Hyde. I would trade cooks because I'm with you guys. That I would maximize that value. And I'm not a. I'm not a cook's truther. I think that he is good and. But I don't know that he's elite, which is.
Jason Moore
Matt Harmon talked about that on the show a little bit. If you want to go back and listen to that episode. We talked about cooks. He's not prototypical wide receiver.
Andy Holloway
Sure.
Jason Moore
And that doesn't.
Mike Wright
I mean those kinds of players can evolve. I guess Daniel Brown's not the prototype.
Andy Holloway
Sure.
Mike Wright
But there's just there. I just can't buy in to cooks being an elite level guy like a lot of. A lot of people out there do. And I would. I would cut Murray.
Jason Moore
So you're saying based on that, you're on the clock. You're sitting there in the third round and you're taking Hyde over Murray.
Mike Wright
I am. I would draft Hyde over Murray.
Jason Moore
All right, that's fine. I think that's fine. So what's the next group? And I'll go.
Andy Holloway
I'll go with the next one. I'll throw the next one out there. All right, here we go. Jeremy Hill, Alan Hearns and Emmanuel Sanders.
Mike Wright
Keep.
Andy Holloway
One trade, one cut, one keep trade.
Jason Moore
That sounds like fart. I want to give. I want to give the listeners the opportunity to think through it a little bit themselves and make their own decision. Jeremy Hill, Alan Hearns and Emmanuel Sanders.
Mike Wright
The name of Emmanuel Sanders is how the mighty have fallen, which is interesting and I completely get the rationale behind it of we don't know who's throwing the ball. Is it butt fumble? Is it first round pick Paxton Lynch? So it just can the offense sustain for both Demarys Thomas and him where. I mean, the last two years Emmanuel Sanders has been, at least before the season was a stud, like very, very highly sought after. While Hearns has done the opposite. He has out. He's. Is. Is Hearns going above Sanders in drafts?
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Mike Wright
I'm going to pull that up right now. Hearns is going at 507 and Sanders at 512. So yes, Allen Hearns, wide receiver 2 for the Jacksonville Jaguars, is going ahead of Sanders.
Jason Moore
That doesn't surprise Me?
Andy Holloway
No, it makes sense. Not at all. If you look at like the quarterback situation, you'd rather have Blake Bortles throwing him the ball.
Jason Moore
Yep.
Andy Holloway
You'd rather have a young guy on the rise than an old guy who. Manual Sanders is not an old guy. But you know, a guy who might have already peaked is. Well, say that.
Jason Moore
Look, that's the point I need to make about Sanders. He's not old. He's 29 years old. He's the exact same age as Eric Decker. So if you think Eric Deckers peak then you think Emmanuel Sanders is peaked. They're Both still under 30 at wide receiver.
Andy Holloway
I think we're going to have different answers on who we keep, who we trade and who we cut here.
Jason Moore
I would, man. Do you guys have a clear answer yet?
Mike Wright
I'm struggling here. I got one. I got one. And I'm going to trade. I'm going to trade Alan Hearns. I think I can get a pretty good value for him and I'm okay not having Hearns on my team. I like him. I think he provides a good fantasy value where he's being taken right now. But like we've talked about all offseason, we see the regression coming for. In the, in the passing touchdown part department for Jacksonville. So I would move him on.
Jason Moore
I think you're keeping Sanders.
Mike Wright
Are you?
Jason Moore
I think I'm going to cut Jeremy Hill.
Mike Wright
I'm keeping Hill. I still believe in the talent and I believe that he can correct what he was doing wrong last year of frequently thinking that he's Barry Sanders when he is not. He is Jeremy Hill and he needs to play his style of football. So just. I think that Hill can surprise us again next year. Maybe not to rookie year levels of success, but certainly better than last year.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I could see that. I mean, despite me saying I'm coming down to where most people are on Jeremy Hill, I'm actually going to trade Jeremy Hill here because there are those people out there that really believe they see the touchdowns, they see the youth, they know that this guy could be. I mean, I think of these three guys, if you were in a startup draft, Jeremy Hill is going to go first before either Alan Hearns or Emmanuel Sanders. So I'm going to trade the guy that I get the most value for.
Mike Wright
You're talking in a redraft or.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, yeah, in a redraft.
Mike Wright
And between they're going to go.
Andy Holloway
I bet they go all near each other, but I'm guessing.
Mike Wright
Yeah, he'll. He'll go before Hearns. Really, Andy? Think so. Okay.
Andy Holloway
And then I'm going to keep Emmanuel Sanders. I like Emmanuel Sanders more than Hearns for this coming season. I think he's the better player.
Mike Wright
I missed who you were going to trade the next.
Jason Moore
The next trade hill is of keeping trade cut is Amir Abdullah, Melvin Gordon and Gio Bernard. I'll tell you right now. I am.
Mike Wright
Read through them again. Read through them one more time.
Jason Moore
Amir Abdullah, Melvin Gordon and Gio Bernard keep one, trade one, cut one. That's the toughest one so far for me. I'm going to.
Mike Wright
There's elephants in the studio.
Jason Moore
Because the problem is, is because in my mind I'm thinking, okay, I cut one of them. I don't have a problem cutting one of them. But then my mindset is, okay, I get to keep the other two, but you don't. You got to trade one away. So I think what I'm going to do here is I'm going to keep Melvin Gordon. I believe in him long term as being worthy. I'll trade Gio Bernard and I'll cut him here.
Mike Wright
Abdullah, I am on a very different mind frame than you because Gordon becomes my immediate cut. I don't. I don't know if I believe in Melvin Gordon. The micro fracture surgery of the knee certainly freaks me out and. But now you're looking at potential of Abdullah with. Oh, man. With garbage results.
Jason Moore
Would you like to make a water bet with me right now? Ooh, a 1,000 yard water bet with Melvin Gordon.
Mike Wright
Wow. No.
Jason Moore
1,000 yards from Elvin Gordon.
Andy Holloway
They're only like six or seven guys that did that last year. Mike, on the ground, you're saying yes.
Mike Wright
Trying to talk me.
Andy Holloway
You darn right I'm trying to talk you into it.
Mike Wright
Why?
Jason Moore
I just think if you're going to make him your immediate cut, you obviously don't believe all of a thousand yards rushing.
Mike Wright
Let's do it. Let's do it. Melvin Gordon waterbed Melvin Gordon over under 1,000 yards.
Jason Moore
1,000 touchdowns. No.
Andy Holloway
Whoa.
Jason Moore
I feel good about no 1,000 yards. Okay, so your immediate cut is Gordon, who is your keep.
Mike Wright
Like I was saying, the. The potential is there for Abdullah, where I feel like Gio is great, but there's just. There is a ceiling. There is a threshold that, that I don't know if he can get over. But I. But now I'm thinking about it more. Does Abdullah have that same ceiling? Like when they get to the goal line, are they gonna put Zenner or Ridley in or are they gonna stick with Abdullah or Riddick? What do you guys think about that situation?
Jason Moore
There's no way they're sticking with Amir Abdullah in that situation with fumbleitis. Look, here's the thing. They trust Theo Riddick in two minute offense situations. They trust Theo Riddick in the passing game. Amir Abdullah will be a supplemental player that will give you explosive plays. He will give you games that you're proud of and he will give you frustration as a fantasy owner when he's not on the field. I don't think there's going to be many situations. Him and Riddick are on the field together. Maybe they're going to line a guy up in the slot and put one in the backfield. That's possible. But it's hard for me to go from what Geo Gio Bernard won weeks for owners for good part of the season, especially the beginning part of the season. That would be the hurdle for me is you'd be. I think you'd be buying into a dream there and maybe that's what I'm doing with Gordon too.
Mike Wright
But in maybe Gordon's.
Jason Moore
But make a decision.
Mike Wright
Maybe Gordon is not my cut. I'm going to make Geo my keep. I like your, I like the take over there and I think you're right on that. It's who has the most value between Gordon and Abdullah. I think they're both besmirched in the. The names of fantasy. I think you might be right though. You might be able to get more from Gordon. So you guys, he was a first one. I'm sure I'll cut Abdullah in my infinite sadness. That is a mirror Abdullah.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I think so. Andy, who did you keep? You kept Melvin Gordon.
Jason Moore
I did.
Andy Holloway
I think I'm going to go along the lines here with, with Mike. I'm going to keep Geo, I'm going to trade Melvin and I'm going to cut Amir Abdullah. But in reality, when it comes to.
Jason Moore
Three guys going behind those other two right now.
Andy Holloway
Right.
Mike Wright
Really?
Jason Moore
Yeah, yeah, he's going behind them. And what right Now Gordon is 603, Amir Abdul is 608 and Geo's 703.
Mike Wright
My goodness.
Jason Moore
I mean I can buy a standard league drafting Gordon over Geo. I got no problem with that. I would do it myself.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. In a standard. But my point is when you get to this point in the draft, this is still, you know, pre draft season. So we got to put a little bit of context here. When I get to this point in the draft, they're all. You just said where they're going and they were all going within a round. Of each other. It's going to make a big difference as to what he is on my team. You know what I mean? Like for instance, if, if I've gone more all, all wide receivers and I need an absolute one, you know, I need a guy with a huge high potential here. I think Amir Abdullah and Melvin Gordon have higher ceilings than Gio Bernard does.
Jason Moore
They do.
Andy Holloway
But if I'm going for a safe pick, someone that I need to be able to plug into my flex, who has the potential and a, you know, in a catastrophic injury ahead of him to be a top guy, then I go, Geo.
Jason Moore
I think that's a really fair take. And it brings to mind the reality that we bring up so often when drafting your team in the, in the off season, which is it's going to, you know, the rankings are a part of it and they help you weigh risk, they help you weigh value. But there is a team by team circumstance in which you're going to have to make a decision based off of something like that. Do you want the upside? I mean, Gordon, look, Gordon was drafted to be Todd Gurley. He was drafted to be a heavy carry, high impact play type of guy. So if he pans out there, we know Geo is never going to be that anymore. I mean, he's had the opportunity sans injured without an injury, he's not going to be that. So I think you make a really good point there. So let's move on to our next trifecta.
Mike Wright
All right, the next docket for keep trade cut. We have Dante Moncrief, Tyler Lockett.
Andy Holloway
Come on.
Mike Wright
Or John Brown. I'll read. I'll run that back one more time. Dante. Dante Moncrief, Tyler Lockett, John Brown.
Andy Holloway
Man, it's like you looked into my heart, through my soul and said through it, hey, Jason, Jason, who are three guys that you are madly in love with for this upcoming season that you think present great values at the wide receiver position? Those were probably the three names I would come up with.
Mike Wright
I will be. I'll say this, this one made me happy when I wrote it down because I knew it would cause great pain.
Andy Holloway
For all of us. Oh, man. Well, you'll probably cut John Brown because you think it's going to be Michael Floyd.
Jason Moore
I will keep Tyler Lockett. That is without a question, my keep from this group. I think Tyler Lockett finishes above both of these guys this year. I think he offers the most long term upside of any of these players and he's playing in the best, probably the best offense. I mean, he's up there with Arizona.
Andy Holloway
Well, and the Colts as well. I mean, the Colts have always had a great offense.
Jason Moore
Yeah, except for last year.
Andy Holloway
Well, yeah, except when they didn't have Andrew Luck. Good point. When Matt has.
Jason Moore
Did you watch when Andrew Luck played? How was their offense when he played?
Andy Holloway
Yes, I watched the football games.
Jason Moore
Shut up.
Mike Wright
Who's winning the match?
Jason Moore
So Jason didn't watch them because he thinks that they had a good offense last year, which they didn't. Tyler Lockett is my keep. My trade is, my trades John Brown, mostly because there is a diverse amount of opinions on who the best wide receiver in Arizona is. And so I'd want to take advantage of the people that put Brown at the top of that list. And I'd cut Moncrief because, you know, what else do I have in life but to cut Dante Moncrief, That's.
Mike Wright
I didn't realize I lined you up for a dream come true to just cut Dante Moncrief.
Jason Moore
There are only a few things, bucket list items for me. One of them was, you know, go to New York City, did that. Took care of that. Number two, you know, to cut Jerome.
Mike Wright
Simpson, I'll say besmirch the name of Jerome Simpson.
Jason Moore
And then number three is to cut Dante Moncry for no good reason. All right, well, number four is to spend the day with Jeremy Mac.
Andy Holloway
I'm going to go next because I'm actually going to keep Dante Moncrief here. Oh, that's the guy. So you cut him? I keep him. I believe Dante Moncrief is an exceptional player. He's got the size, the speed to do things that not a lot of people do. And if you look at the games when he played with Andrew Luck, how he finished his rookie season, I mean, he is a guy that could just absolutely blow up and have a monster year. I believe in him. I like all three of these guys. Right. I like Tyler Lockett, but I still believe at the end of the year, fantasy wise, Doug Baldwin will have more fantasy points than him. And that's not to say that I think Dante Moncrief is going to have more fantasy points than Ty Hilton. But. But I do think that Dante Moncrief has the body, the size, and an extra year on Tyler Lockett. If we're just talking redraft, where this year I've got Dante Moncrift higher. And even though I really do like John Brown, like you said, Andy, there's so many different opinions, I think John Brown will be the guy. But I don't know that. You don't know that. Nobody knows whether it's going to be, you know, Michael Floyd or John Brown or Larry Fitzgerald, for that matter. So I'm going to stick with Dante Moncrief. Tyler Lockett. Since Matt Harmon came out with his love on Tyler Lockett, I think his value is going to skyrocket. I'm trading Lockett, cutting Brown.
Mike Wright
You're gonna. You're gonna lock it will skyrocket?
Jason Moore
Is that what you said?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, Lock it. The rocket.
Jason Moore
Lockett's going to skyrocket. Yeah. I'm not thanking Matt Harmon for that.
Andy Holloway
I know.
Jason Moore
You know.
Andy Holloway
Come on.
Jason Moore
I've been talking about Tyler Lockett all summer, and I liked it when he was this very. The big gap between Baldwin and him. And now. Now all of a sudden, you're like, okay, are they gonna end up in the same round? Are they gonna end up a round apartment? They could nobody listen to Matt Harmon. Just kidding. Just kidding. We love Matt Harmon.
Mike Wright
Oh, man.
Jason Moore
It was good because it validated our thoughts on Lockett. But at the same time, it'll move his rankings up.
Mike Wright
I'm struggling over here, but between the call, be firm between Moncrief and Lockett. I love both. I think both can break out. But I'm going to stick with my guy. I'm going to stick with Dante Moncrief, and he's going to be my keep. I think there could be an absolute monstrosity of a year for Dante Moncrief. I think this could be the big breakout for him. And then just because of the game, I would trade John Brown. I think he has more value.
Jason Moore
Currently, you're cutting Tyler Lockett. I just want to put that on the record.
Mike Wright
I am on with a heavy heart.
Andy Holloway
So that means in these games, we each. This round, complete opposite things.
Mike Wright
No, we both kept Moncrief.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, but I cut. We both. I guess we both kept Moncrief, but I cut John Brown.
Jason Moore
You did the opposite of doing different.
Mike Wright
Yeah. I think John Brown carries a higher value at this moment.
Jason Moore
What do you think the listeners would choose if they had to, you know, trade and keep and cut one of us, like, individually. Oh, on the show. Oh, like there's three of us. I'm just noticing there's three of us. And you could keep one and you could trade one.
Mike Wright
Well, there's an auto cut. I mean, I'm not gonna.
Andy Holloway
He's.
Jason Moore
There's an auto cut.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. He's pointing to the champ. He's pointing to the champ over here. So I'm the auto keep, my friend. I'm trading the beard.
Mike Wright
You know, I'll tell you, get a.
Andy Holloway
Lot of beard value. Hell, yeah.
Mike Wright
I was gonna say I will selflessly cut myself because that's the kind of.
Jason Moore
Guy I am, but will you cut your beard?
Andy Holloway
No, Never.
Jason Moore
All right. Rob Gronkowski, Julio Jones, and Thomas Rawls. This is a ridiculous trifecta to keep, trade and cut.
Andy Holloway
The cut's pretty easy.
Jason Moore
I think all of it's pretty easy. I mean, I think you. You keep Julio Jones just from a. Just. I mean, you have. If you're keeping a player, are we talking one year? What are we doing here this year?
Mike Wright
This year.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, you. You're right. You keep Julio, you trade Gronk, you cut Rawls.
Jason Moore
Yes. Done deal.
Andy Holloway
As easy peasy a stupid question as I've ever seen.
Jason Moore
Cut him.
Mike Wright
Cut my. That's perfectly fine, but I wasn't sure if you recognized that, but we can move to the next one.
Jason Moore
All right. Lamari Miller, Mike Evans, and Al Shawn Jeffrey.
Andy Holloway
Oh, man. All three of these guys were on my team.
Jason Moore
I'm going to say we received.
Mike Wright
Oh, that.
Andy Holloway
Oh, were they? Oh, so that's where this came from.
Mike Wright
You didn't recognize your three keepers, Andy?
Andy Holloway
Oh, my goodness. That's right. These all the.
Jason Moore
I see what you did here, Mike.
Andy Holloway
So in our league of record, I.
Mike Wright
Like how Andy has just crapped all over. All over one of his keepers in our league.
Andy Holloway
That's funny. In our league of records, he said.
Jason Moore
You chose our keepers in our league of record for these last three.
Mike Wright
I may or may not have done that.
Andy Holloway
Oh, man. And the fact that we got halfway through them before noticing is mine was.
Mike Wright
You didn't even notice. I had to tell you.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Lamar Miller, Mike Evans, Alshon Jeffrey.
Mike Wright
Although I think it should have been Robinson. I forgot. You kept Robinson. Or you got Robinson instead of Evans.
Jason Moore
How funny. Okay. Lamar Miller, Mike Evans, Alshon Jeffrey, what would you do here? I think.
Mike Wright
I think this is a really hard one.
Jason Moore
This is. And I would personally, I would trade the upside of Lamar Miller and the potential of Lamar Miller, as much fun as it would be to see him perform well. And I know all the of the numbers. If you extrapolate Lamar Miller out, he simply hasn't done it over a full season. We saw what happened last year when Jeremy Hill was extrapolated over a full season, and it's very hard to make that pen out. You have to be a really special player. And now you're Moving teams, I just don't know it. I like him a lot. Again, we're being forced into these decisions. This is not. Move these guys down your rankings. Lamar Miller's not moving on my rankings, but from a trade perspective, I trade him. Mike Evans is the guy I keep from this group. He's the youngest, he's got the highest upside, and he's somebody that doesn't have the trade value due to the touchdowns he put up last year. Alsha and Jeffrey, I would move.
Andy Holloway
I'm very close to you, but I'm going to keep Alshon Jeffrey because I think at the end of this year, Alshon Jeffrey is going to be, you know, a top eight wide receiver. Whereas Mike Evans is a guy that I think could break into the top 12. But I don't necessarily, you know, if he's 12, 13, 14, I'm not shocked if Alshon plays 16. I'd be shocked if he's outside the top 12. And I will trade Lamar Miller because he'll bring the best value.
Mike Wright
All right, I'm with Andy on this. I'm going to trade Miller and I would actually, I would keep Evans because this is the way I'm looking at it between these two guys. If you're in the draft situation, it's going to be very tough. But to me, it would not shock me if Mike Evans somehow ends up a top four or top five wide receiver. And I would say, comparatively to Alshon, I think Alshon's great. I think he'll be a wide receiver one, but I expect him to be in that. In the 7 to 12 range where Evans could end up outside of that. But I think of, of the two guys, if anyone's just going to make a huge jump into that top elite category, I would think it'd be Mike Evans, a guy with over 1200 yards getting over 140 targets. I mean, I.
Jason Moore
Now, are you sure Mike Evans didn't rush three touchdowns in last.
Mike Wright
Oh, I see what you did.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Little correction last week we were talking about. I was saying.
Jason Moore
Yeah, it was Tuesday, wasn't it?
Andy Holloway
Oh, yeah, Tuesday. You know, we brought up the point for your sleeper tape on Austin. He had four rushing touchdowns. And I was saying, well, how many did Mike Evans have? I meant like how many on the year did Mike Evans. Mike Evans had. Which was three. You incorrectly said two. But the point was to clarify that.
Mike Wright
Thank you for throwing me under the bus.
Andy Holloway
You're welcome, Mike. Cut. Cut. Mike was that Tavern. Austin rushed for four touchdowns. Mike Evans only had three. Total touchdowns receiving. And so that was the point.
Jason Moore
But we got a little troll grief over the fact that you didn't say that he caught them.
Andy Holloway
Right. Troll's going to troll.
Jason Moore
Troll's going to troll. I know I rarely play in, but.
Mike Wright
I love Mike Evans this year.
Andy Holloway
All right, Mike's keepers are Antonio Brown, Jordan reed and shady McCoy.
Mike Wright
What do I do, guys?
Jason Moore
All right, you keep Antonio Brown.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Jason Moore
That's an easy one. I think I trade Jordan Reed. I think I trade Jordan Reed.
Mike Wright
The irony's hot.
Jason Moore
Well, I. Does Jordan Reed fetch more value than Shady McCoy?
Andy Holloway
No, I think Shady's going higher because I've seen Jordan Reed fall to the fourth round and draft. All right, so I think you. I think you trade Shady, you cut Jordan Reed.
Jason Moore
I trade Jordan Reed out of respect for Jordan Reed.
Mike Wright
Oh, that's.
Jason Moore
Instead of cutting him. I'm not going to cut Jordan Reed after what he did in the year.
Mike Wright
Shady McCoy.
Jason Moore
It's all going to be about personal feelings at this point.
Mike Wright
Shady McCoy is. Is an enigma to me at this point because it just. It felt just my feeling. I'm going, this is purely emotional. Just thinking back, you're like, well, he was okay, but he was actually was. I mean, he was beat up for most of you, but when he played, he was very good. And he's on the Bills, who were among the league leading leaders in rushing, in rushing yards. They just there. It's a. It's a Rex Ryan team. They want to run the ball.
Jason Moore
Let me ask you this because we need to talk about McCoy more. If you just gave McCoy the golden ticket of 16 healthy games, right? It's locked in, right. He is playing 16 healthy. He's not coming off in the third quarter for five plays because his hammy sore or his knees sore or his ankle sore or whatever else gets sore for Shady McCoy three times a game. He's 100% healthy for 16 games. There is no reason he couldn't finish the number one running back. I'm not kidding you. He could.
Andy Holloway
No, absolutely.
Jason Moore
I was going to say he volume pass catching. There's no reason he couldn't.
Mike Wright
But he was. He didn't score.
Andy Holloway
He's 100% lock for the top eight. I mean, if he plays 16, there's no way he is not well.
Jason Moore
I'm not projecting him as the one.
Andy Holloway
No.
Mike Wright
But I'm saying, I'm saying even if he's healthy, the Carlos Williams factor to me is very real of him just coming in going, Matt Forte, Michael Bush of like, okay, put the hammer in.
Jason Moore
See, I'm starting to regress. I'm starting to go down on Carlos Williams. Really?
Mike Wright
Okay.
Jason Moore
Because I, you know, I'm not reading too much into it, but he didn't come into campus.
Mike Wright
Oh, yes.
Jason Moore
In shape.
Mike Wright
And look, this is for all those haters on Carlos Williams who gained the. The sympathy pregnancy weight. That is. That is a real. You are looking at it.
Jason Moore
Because I'm still gaining it.
Mike Wright
Because. Yeah, because I put it on and it has not come off.
Jason Moore
I just coming a little down on Carlos. What Carlos did was.
Mike Wright
I'm blaming my wife for my appetite.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Yeah.
Mike Wright
I take no responsibility off starving.
Jason Moore
Carlos Williams is a guy who was scoring at an efficiency rate that's impossible to repeat. I. So I don't think I'll repeat it. I mean, that's the. That's the plain, simple truth.
Mike Wright
You.
Jason Moore
I think he's a productive player, but if he doesn't get in the end zone to the same efficiency levels, those are on the table for Taylor and for McCoy and for Watkins. So I just. Personally, I'm not giving McCoy a healthy season. That's why I rank him. In light of him losing a couple games, Jason's looking at me like he's either about to pass out or he has some gas or something.
Andy Holloway
Upset at you. Because while I agree with your take, I really want to talk up Carlos Williams and Talk down Shady McCoy so that when this show is over, I can trade for Shady McCoy from Mike, who seems to be too far down on him. So, Mike, let's talk after the show.
Mike Wright
Hey, I like it.
Jason Moore
All right, that's it for keep, trade, and cut. You can go ahead and make your vote for.
Mike Wright
And let us know. Like, that was an experiment. We like to. We like to keep it fresh sometime. Let us know how that feel like.
Jason Moore
I think it was a good time. Let's answer some questions.
Andy Holloway
Mailbag.
Mike Wright
Mailbag.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I'm gonna give that a two.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. That was weak, Mike.
Jason Moore
That was so quiet.
Andy Holloway
Oh.
Mike Wright
Oh, he's calling for it again.
Andy Holloway
Mailbag.
Liam Neeson
Mailbag.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Forced.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
All right.
Jason Moore
Dave, in San Diego, does the bye week have any consideration for you during your draft?
Andy Holloway
Oh, so almost None. Almost.
Jason Moore
How do you. How do you think about bye week?
Andy Holloway
Bye weeks are a late tiebreaker. By that, I mean, you know, I have so many different, you know, unspoken tiebreakers where when I get to two guys and they're similar, I think, okay, is he on a good team, a bad team? Who's his coordinator? You know, what's, you know, different things.
Jason Moore
And what's the early season schedule?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, what's the late season schedule? Later in my draft, once I already have several people, you know, I might look and say, oh, you know, I've got, I've got my running back on by week nine. Even then I'm telling a lie because I would not mind drafting another week nine by week.
Jason Moore
Look, your team's going to change. You don't win it at the draft, you move players around the waiver wire, you're trading. If week nine, if you're projecting you'd have all the same players in week nine, then you can go ahead and pay attention to your bye weeks. With an astute I, I almost completely ignore it. Outside of MFL 10 leagues.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. If it's a best ball league where you know what you draft is done, you don't make the roster moves, then you've got to pay attention to bye weeks. The only maybe if it's like one of those super early week four.
Jason Moore
This question is still out there so much because of the prevalence and importance of it from fantasy football. Fifteen years ago, 10 years ago, when, when there weren't a lot of transactions and when the point totals for players were tied to touchdowns only and you had, I mean missing a week, you didn't have a guy off the waiver you could sign and play in. I think people just care about it way too much.
Andy Holloway
You know what, you know what data I want to see? I want to see data of like from ESPN of total, you know, roster transactions versus like playoff appearances because I'm pretty confident that those who are just making more transactions now, you know, there's that stupid guy that just makes a move for no reason all the time, makes bad trades all the time and sure he finishes outside of the playoffs. But I feel like if you want to, those people who stand pat, who love their team, don't make the changes, don't make the waiver pickups, don't make the trades. And they just think even if they drafted great, they're not making the playoffs. Josh.
Jason Moore
Just, just kidding. That's my brother in law. All right, Matt in Los Angeles in a, is a draft for a three keeper startup more similar to redraft or dynasty strategy?
Mike Wright
You are talking completely redraft at that point with, with only three keepers you are going to draft accordingly.
Jason Moore
90, 95% redraft?
Mike Wright
Yeah, I would say it depends.
Andy Holloway
I'm going to say 100% because if you are making a draft, if you, if you go, hey, this guy's a year younger than that guy, but he's not going to perform as well.
Jason Moore
Let me make an argument for you and see if you agree with me. If you are, if you are drafting a three keeper league, is there any situation where you're taking, I don't know, Odell Beckham Jr. For the long term over.
Andy Holloway
No, like that's what I'm saying. I would not take Odell Beckham Jr. Over Antonio Brown. Never.
Jason Moore
But when you take like Gurley over Peterson, maybe if you believed. I'm just, I say 95% Peterson.
Andy Holloway
Sure. Because they're basically like a tiebreaker to me.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Okay, so there's the 5% for me.
Andy Holloway
All right.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I think it's, it's going to be a redraft. You would draft accordingly. You, you're going to go into your draft thinking, oh, I got this guy in the second round, he's my keeper. And you'll, by the end of next year you'll have grabbed someone off waivers who is a better keeper option moving forward. So don't even think of terms of, of multi years. Just think of this year and a little bit think of next year.
Andy Holloway
People make a lot of mistakes in small keeper leagues. Caring about age in a small keeper league.
Jason Moore
I agree, I agree with that. I'd rather side on the side of what you said right there with redraft mentality. By the way, if you have a question, you can submit one to the show. Go to the website the fantasy footballers.com, click the submit a question button or dial us at 302-464-TFFB. Leave a message on our voicemail hotline. That last question was from Matt in Los Angeles. This one is from Al in Maui. His question is about two wide receivers from the same team.
Mike Wright
Al, go outside. You live in Maui.
Jason Moore
He says, aloha, gentlemen, Bonjour. I'll make this quick. What do you guys think about drafting both Golden Tate and Marvin Jones? I thought he said Golden State and I was like, don't, no, no, don't draft Golden State right now. Both Golden Tate and Marvin Jones or John Brown and Michael Floyd and then seeing if one of them is the favorite of the quarterback standard eight team.
Andy Holloway
League, I would be much more willing to do the golden tape Marvin Jones because it doesn't cost as much John Brown and Michael Floyd, I mean because Marvin Jones is going in the ninth, I'm okay with that. But I, to be honest, I probably won't do, do that strategy. I think you could throw in Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett in here as well. As far as, like, if you want to go down that strategy, I'm probably going to pick the guy I think is going to win and then keep picking other guys I think are going to win.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I. It makes it hard only because of the way he framed it with the idea of then seeing, you know, if you see that one's the favorite, what are you doing with the other guy? And what was the cost of having both versus picking somebody else? I mean, wouldn't you rather draft, for example, I don't know, Golden Tate and John Brown, if you believed beforehand that both guys were the likely one to be the guy?
Andy Holloway
Yeah. And what happens if they end up being 5050 and neither of them is the superstar and now you don't have the guy that exploded, but you can't really cut or trade either. I don't think it's going to pan out for you in these situations.
Jason Moore
Not necessarily opposed to drafting two guys of a good offense, but you have to do it with the mentality of, okay, I'm gonna play them both or I'm gonna use them both. I'm gonna use Cobb and Jordy Nelson. I'm gonna. Something like that. And so, yeah, that is it for today's Mailbag segment. I do want to take a second. I want to tell everybody about the Ultimate Draft kit over@ultimate draftkit.com. here's a little bit of what we have jam packed inside this thing that we've been building for several months. There are 100 plus video profiles. This show is on YouTube. We do the video of the show. You can go watch it. We took the time to make 100 plus video profiles. Mike Wright
And we're always working on it. Yeah, we're always making improvements. We're taking feedback like, oh, you want to see this? Well, we're working on it. We are going to get it in there.
Jason Moore
Yeah, absolutely. So check it out. Ultimate Draft kit dot com. I know a bunch of you already have it and are enjoying it and sending us feedback on things you'd like to see inside of it. And we're listening to those and we're going to keep improving it. So we'll be back next Tuesday with another great show. We have a lot of things on the docket for the next couple of months. We're moving to three shows. Like we said in July. We're going to do a lot of mailbag, answering your questions, Dynasty keeper, redraft, trade commissioner questions, auction league questions, whatever you have.
Andy Holloway
Personal questions.
Jason Moore
Personal questions. You know, should you get married? Should you not get married? Is she the one? Send those in my diet. Your diet?
Mike Wright
Yeah. You want.
Andy Holloway
We are not the crowd to ask dietary questions.
Mike Wright
No, I'm putting on the bulk, the mass and then I'm gonna cut.
Jason Moore
Oh, okay.
Mike Wright
Does that work? It's a really, really long term work.
Jason Moore
Mike is waiting with anticipation for the, like diet sponsor to come along for this show where we feel like an obligation to follow the plan.
Andy Holloway
We have some weight to lose, so if there's a diet sponsor out there, you're gonna see results. Yeah.
Jason Moore
We've been investing in this podcast and now it's time for that investment to pay off, assuming we're still alive when the sponsorship comes through. So that is it today. Any parting words, go to YouTube.
Mike Wright
We're going to talk about some airplane tales from our voyage to New York City.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Some stories from the plane. It's always fun to travel, right?
Mike Wright
Sometimes.
Jason Moore
Oh, I miss legroom.
Mike Wright
Goodbye.
Andy Holloway
