I was actually talking to Mike, like last week about something that I had learned. I want to make sure I write down because for next year, I think it's an important lesson to be learned. So I'll save that for then. Also, Mike, I hope you remember because I don't.

Yes, wrote that down. I do remember. Also, I brought it up to Jason. I don't recall. Andy, if you gave the affirmative full go on this, the three of us are going to do a playoff bracket challenge.

You have different quarterbacks playing guys being sat down. Yesterday. Tyrod Taylor was your stream of the week. And then moments after the show completed, they said, hey, we're going to start EJ Manual. You still. Are you still going with Tyrod?

I feel like Joe Flacco has long desired to be a fantasy football quarterback but he is now just excited when he's a stream.

Well and we also have you have the narrative of the Steve Smith. Let's see what we can do with Smith. You know feed the beast.

I am very excited. Steve Smith must start of the week this week just see know spoiler that's tomorrow's show. People will forget by then. All right, my pump the brakes. This week I'm going with the Denver wide receivers. Not only did they disappoint you last week when you expected more out of DT and Emmanuel Sanders and you might be stuck playing them, but this week you have a quarterback situation. Trevor sent me in through a through for 39% completion. A 39% completion percentage last week. This week it might be that bad. It's going to be Paxton lynch most likely. So you've got a rookie. It's just too hard to depend upon them. Even though they're, you know they're facing Oakland. I don't like them so I'm pumping the brakes on them for this, for this final game and I will throw out a long term consideration that you know they, they will go as the quarterback position goes in Denver. Unfortunately that's how wide receivers that's how they work in dynasty league.

Yeah, we've seen that happen a lot this season and I sat down to do my pump the brakes with the Tyrod Taylor news. I thought oh, I'm gonna this is gonna be easy now you got to pump the brakes on the pass catchers for Buffalo. And I said Charles Clay, he's been on fire. Right. I'm gonna pump the brakes. No, no, that was incorrect. Charles Clay. In fact the game splits with E.J. manuel. His receptions are about double. So I'm, I'm not first I'm not saying Charles Clay is an absolute must start but saying I'm not going to pump the brakes on him when it seemed to make sense. But Manuel apparently feeds the tight end instead. I'm going on the other side of Andy's game. We're going with the Oakland wide receivers. Derek Carr can't send in the car now you have there McGlory.

Send in the McGloin.

[Mike Wright]

You got McGloin coming in. You pile that on top of the Denver DBs are just elite. The elite of the elite. I'm finding a different option. You got Amari Cooper. I'm going to try and sit him down.

I've been told by Oakland fans that I should not underestimate Matt McGloin, although it sounded a lot like how I used to talk when I said, well, Drew Stanton's really got a shot. So it's not so much that the guy can't surprise. It's the fact you can't rely on it. That's what we talk about in fantasy.

[Mike Wright]

It's the fact of McGloin plus Denver.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah. I mean, nobody.

[Mike Wright]

Nobody's been. That's going to be a shot right in the McGloin.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. That's not.

[Jason Moore]

Nobody's been able to throw on Denver the whole year. It's not going to be Matt.

[Andy Holloway]

What about McGloin to get it done.

For my pump the brakes, I'm looking a little bit more towards the future, and possibly this week, I'm pumping the brakes on Melvin Gordon a little bit. I figured this is our last pump the brakes of the season, and so I wanted to look a little bit more forward. If Melvin Gordon plays this week, which is really up in the air. He wasn't at practice. I don't think this week, I don't think he'll play. If he plays, he might just want to get those three yards, get out of the game.

We have one more pump the brakes. Just so you know.

We've got a playoff. Pump the breaks next Wednesday.

I would love so very much if they put Melvin Gordon in just to get his three yards.

But here's what I'm actually saying is that Melvin Gordon next year is going to be looked at as, you know, one of those top five, six, seven runs.

You asked the question yesterday is, is it Gurley or Gordon.

Yeah. Who's actually better? And we have to remember what happened this year for Melvin Gordon to have that sweet, magical stretch of the season. It took losing every other running back on the roster to be the guy. And I think we're going to project him to be the guy. Like he's going to be in on first, second, third down. But that's not what the team wants to do. They want to have a Danny Woodhead or they want to have somebody else in there to, to give him rest and look what happened. They lost him this year, having to overwork him. So I'm saying next year, Melvin Gordon, he's going to be a good back, but he's not going to be one of those top five guys. This is the time of year it.

Will be an interesting situation because Woodhead's a, a free agent this year.

I don't know if they're an injury prone.

I don't know if they can resign him.

Yeah, this is, I'm not playing him if it's my fantasy championship. But this is Washington. They have to win. This is a, you lose, you go home. No more playoffs for you. So you're one of your best pass catching weapons. If he can get out there and help in any capacity, you have to have him active.

The Bills have officially fired Rex Ryan and Rob Ryan. However, I know, Jason, you've brought up the fact that you believe you know, this is good for Sammy Watkins for the future. Are you as enthusiastic with the fact they're just going to take the existing offensive coordinator and likely make him the head coach? Because that is what is most likely going to happen. So you have the guy running the.

[Mike Wright]

Current offense and they're benching Tyrod Taylor.

[Andy Holloway]

In which it's an awkward benching, they say protecting him, but it's not. What are you protecting him from There?

[Mike Wright]

This is full on Robert Griffin. This is in.

[Andy Holloway]

Oh yeah, Cousins got that last start.

[Mike Wright]

No, in Taylor's contract he is, if he is hurt, his guarantee goes way up, which by the way, we've talked a little bit off the show about. There's some college players now making a business decision to sit out of a bowl game to get ready for the draft. And there's been some support, but there's been a lot of people poo pooing these athletes saying, well, you're get out there and play. This is what you're supposed to do. Even though they could, they're at risk of losing millions of dollars.

[Andy Holloway]

Well, you see, Mike, they don't, they won't get their game check from that bowl game though.

[Mike Wright]

But meanwhile, now you have the Buffalo head office saying, we're not going to play a guy because if he gets hurt we're going to have to pay him a lot of money. I don't hear anyone crushing them, saying that this is just super greedy, that you're not playing your best players. You said they're gonna put Mike.

[Jason Moore]

Oh, yes.

[Mike Wright]

But Mike, the college guys are kids and that's also known as slaves. They have to do what the grown ups say.

[Mike Wright]

It's, it's a terrible situation. But I just wanted to point out the, the, the irony here of that. The, the billionaires can make these decisions and the kids are trying to get their first paycheck. They're the ones who are in the wrong. Yeah.

[Jason Moore]

Regarding the fantasy situation in bu, I think it's too early to just say that the offensive coordinator is going to get that job. He's the interim head coach. But you don't name someone as the interim head coach.

[Andy Holloway]

No, they've already come out and said that he's the.

[Jason Moore]

Oh, for real? Yeah.

[Andy Holloway]

He's by far the front runner. To be the.

[Jason Moore]

Well, there's a difference between being a front runner and being the head coach, right?

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. Because he's currently the interim. But the trend right now is that they're going to make him the head coach for next year.

[Jason Moore]

And that's why, if that happens, I'm.

Pulling an O'Reilly pump the brakes on that news.

Okay, but I'm not. I'm saying if that happens, how does that affect your prognostication of Sammy Watkins becoming the great.

[Jason Moore]

I still believe, even with that, I still believe that it is very much a benefit for Sammy Watkins because you're having an offensive guy take over the head coaching system. It's not going to be about defense and running. He was being an offensive coordinator under a head coach that wanted to be a defense and running team. And he was, you know, following the orders top down. Now he's going to be giving them. And he's an offensive guy. I think in today's NFL, you've got to be able to pass the ball better and, you know, than what Buffalo's done. You just look at attempts, Right. Just look at passing attempts and you could see that there is a huge room for improvement in Buffalo's offense. If they hire a head coach that's an offensive guy, I expect it to happen, even just to get to the middle of the pack.

But what if it's EJ Manuel as the quarterback? How does that do for your Sammy Watkins love?

[Jason Moore]

I jump off the burning ship.

All right. Cameron Brait's on IR. He's not playing week 17. Melvin Gordon's a game time decision in week 17. Ryan Fitzpatrick and E.J. manuel are starters for 17. Yeah, well, with Ryan Fitzpatrick's career, every game he plays is a revenge game. He's played for seven teams. Rex Ryan, we talked about him being fired. Mike Tomlinson says that Big Ben, Lev Bell, Antonio Brown might not play in week 17. That welcome to week 17, everybody.

[Mike Wright]

Big Ben has come out and said he does not want to play. He wants to rest up. Antonio Brown, on the other hand, is trying to get in the game. And I would not expect. I think Ben will sit. It's going to be Landry Jones to me. Antonio Brown may see the field, but he's not playing a full game. I don't know how you can trust him for fantasy football.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. Mark Sanchez is going to be activated as Dak Prescott's backup for week 17. I mean, Jason already said that, you know, Dak's gonna play the whole game. Even though yesterday I told him, of course he's not going to.

[Jason Moore]

Well, I will early concede that it looks like that's not gonna happen. What my point was was that they cannot ever. No, this was the argument I made. They cannot ever put Tony Romo in that game.

[Andy Holloway]

Well, you also made the argument that Dak would play the whole game.

[Jason Moore]

Yes. Because his backup can't play.

[Andy Holloway]

I said on the show yesterday Mark Sanchez would be the backup and be the one playing in the game. And you were not Tony Romo.

[Jason Moore]

And you're going to be right, not me.

[Andy Holloway]

I love all these Dallas bets. They're, you know, 12 carries for Zeke. But that was not my point.

Also, why are they not playing Romo.

The ESPN Giants reporter, Jordan ran and believes that Ben McAdoo is going to play his starters in week 17. They don't have anything to play for other than crushing the hopes and dreams of Washington. It's tough.

I want to share this. It's a concise way to think about Week 17 and the teams that are not motivated and motivated to play. Mike, tell me where you got this.

[Mike Wright]

Matt Camp, Okay. He put out a chart that shows the motivation of the teams in the hunt out of the hunt. So you have Dallas, who has no motivation. Right. They cannot change or move. You could argue that their motivation would be to stop Washington from making the playoffs.

Seattle And Atlanta are both motivated for the number two seed. Green Bay and Detroit could both miss the playoffs. Right. Because if Washington wins and Green Bay or Detroit loses, you have a situation now is Green Bay has not clinched. Right.

And so I have been OCD on this before where I am in that situation that you're in and I'll tell you exactly what I look for. I take my defense, right. My defense and the opponent's defense because these are the most likely situations where you're going to get a stat correction and I go through and I look, I've done this before play by play in the box score and I've looked to see if there was a sack or a rush for zero yards because those a rush can be converted to a sack if they determine that the quarterback was behind the line of scrimmage and that is a one point adjustment or vice versa. If they determine it wasn't a sack because he was beyond the line of scrimmage, gone through and hoped and found one time, one where the next day that exact thing happened. So that is what you're hoping for.

But they get to choose where they pick because here's the reality. In a Snake draft, full redraft, there is no guaranteed best spot to draft. You know, you could say, oh, I definitely want a top three pick. And you might say, oh, I don't want to be that far away from my number two. So. So there's no clear advantage. So have fun with it, is what we're saying.

Ooh, I think of those three PPR league right off the top of the dome. I feel like keeping Kenneth Dixon. Dixon, yeah, probably.

I am facing the situation. It's funny. Dixon's been brought up twice. I'm. I have our league of record. I have Andrew Luck, who you brought up earlier as a keeper, and I have Kenneth Dixon, Mark Ingram, couple guys to decide from. I really want Dixon to be that guy. I can. I can jump behind and you know that they'll commit to the run there. He can catch the Ball kind of be what four set was two years ago.

[Mike Wright]

Right.

It's hard for me to say no to Prior here as well. I just don't know if he's where.

[Jason Moore]

He'S going to be.

Depending on when you have to select it. You can't select Prior right now because you don't know what team he's going to be on. You don't know what quarterback he's going to have. The only thing you're going off of is talent. And opportunity is king in fantasy football. Devonte Adams, you know, he's catching calls from Aaron Rodgers, which is.

You don't know if Dixon will have west or other.

[Jason Moore]

That's true.

I mean, Adams seems to be the safest of the three picks.

You know, Adams reminds me of small departure here. I feel like him, he must be best friends with Jordan Matthews. I feel like they are best friends. They are both temperamental performers in fantasy football and on the actual football field. Sometimes great catch, sometimes horrible drop.

Both of them have gone up and down in people's minds. I consider them to be very, very similar.

You're darn right I do. Because if you think for one second that I trust that Martavis Bryant's going to stop doing what gets him suspended after every other opportunity, just like Johnny Manziel had opportunities and just like Justin Blackman had opportunities and Josh Gordon had.

Not in the NFL of repeat offenses where it's like at that point when you keep doing it after, okay, you've been suspended once, you've been warned, then you've been suspended, then you've been suspended 10 games now you're out indefinitely. It's going to happen again is the way I see it.

If you told me that he's not going to get suspended again.

[Jason Moore]

Malcolm, do you know how many leagues mfl 10 style leagues like where you where the best ball, you draft and you don't make roster moves. You know how many leagues that I had Josh Gordon in? Yeah, a lot of leagues because there was the temptation that he was going to come back. But when a guy has 10 strikes, why do you think he's not going to get an 11th?

[Andy Holloway]

The real story here, and this is how you make decisions in the future for a lot of things. If your option was Alan Hearns or Martavis Bryant, you might take the shot in the dark. But your option here is a pretty good option. Malcolm Mitchell's a good option to have.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, coming on hot. Except for last week when you lost that bet. All right, sleeper bus question from Jake in Washington right now. Who's next season's fantasy. Oh, who in next season's fantasy draft will be an overrated player going in the first and second round?

Melvin Gordon.

And what people will, what player will people overlook that will help us win games? So you want us to make a really early call on the underrated. Overrated. I think you said Melvin Gordon earlier. I'm going to Say Jai. I think he'll be overdrafted.

[Mike Wright]

In terms of underdrafted, I'm going to double down. Who are you going with?

[Mike Wright]

Alan Robinson.

[Andy Holloway]

Sure.

Alan is going to get buried.

That's great. I think Allen Robinson is a great pick. There are players that you have to look at that either disappointed towards the end of the year or consistently, you know, DeAndre Hopkins comes to mind. Obviously he could. He could drop down the list quite a bit. I'm trying to think of some other names.

[Jason Moore]

I'm very interested to see what the guy that's most interesting to see what happens because he could either be overrated or underrated next year. But my guess is that he might be underrated and that's Lashawn McCoy. Fair.

[Mike Wright]

People think. Well, he's.

[Jason Moore]

There are certain guys that get underrated every year, right. Frank Gore every year.

[Mike Wright]

Is he going to start getting the old running back treatment?

[Jason Moore]

Exactly.

[Andy Holloway]

I don't think he will.

And if he doesn't, then great. But I'm just saying, if you think, oh, he's old, there's a change in the offense. He's not going to have the season he had last year. I'm going to be picking him up in that second round, happily in that third round if he drops there.

[Jason Moore]

Oh, of course, man. The predator.

Predator. I'm looking at some names. I'm looking at some names here. I wonder, you know, Devonta Freeman, probably. Probably not in that consideration. But you just wonder if Coleman didn't get hurt this year, whether the numbers would be there.

He could get underdrafted if Charles leaves.

Oh, Moncrief. And I was going to say, you know, the upside isn't there for total yards for a guy and for a.

Guy who may or may not play.

Last question. J. Shipley, why, if we give ppr so point per reception, why don't we give points per carry?

Some leagues do. In fact, our league of record, we give 0.1 points per carry. So it is something that.

[Mike Wright]

That certainly does happen.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. I mean, it's just one of those things where you just have to balance it. I don't mind giving a point per carry. I mean, not a point. I mean, I don't mind giving some. Something attributed to carries. I wouldn't do a point, though.

[Mike Wright]

You know, we've had questions coming in before where people are saying, I play in a PPR and a point per carry. And you were like, holy crap. You have to have David Johnson or Le'Veon Bell on your team.

[Jason Moore]

Zeke, some guy that's just getting the work.

[Andy Holloway]

The whole point about zeke only gets 12 a game. 12 carries.

[Jason Moore]

How many? The only point of, like, should we reward carries or catches or any of this thing? Andy nailed it. It's just about balance. You want to try to balance these players in these positions among themselves to where there's a. There's a good amount where when you look at flex, you don't go, I have to draft all the blank position.

[Andy Holloway]
