Okay, number four, Theo Riddick leads running backs with five receiving TDs, but I'm tied for second with James White with four of them.

We need someone to step in and contribute. It was a blessing that he was let go last week. So now Kubiak, they've signed Justin for set. Familiar with Kubiak system. Probably more familiar than even Devonte Booker is.

This is why I said it's. It seems like a funny blurb note that Justin Forset was signed by the Broncos, but it should not be ignored. Having said that, what is. What is an immediate impact is that eight carries.

Well, that, let me ask, was getting. Jason.

Would you drop any of your handcuffs to pick up Justin Forsyth?

Yeah, I would. It depends. I'm not dropping My very necessary handcuffs. Right.

If I've got shady handcuffs. Yeah. If I've got shady who's always in and out and Gillislee is a good, fine backup, you know, I'm not going to drop them. But you know, I'm dropping. For me, I'm going to drop Andre Ellington possibly because I think that four set could come out and I'm no. 1. No one should start for set this week. That would be ludicrous. It'd be stupid. That being said, he could come out and end up in a complete 5050 or even. I wouldn't be shocked if he had the majority of carries. I'm not projecting that. But that could happen. And if that happens in a Kubiak system that he's familiar with, with fresh legs, there could be fantasy value there.

Yeah. And we've seen the backup running back always be the. The best looker on the team.

Here's a big story in that same game. Simeon, Trevor Simeons, he's out of his boot, but Paxton lynch still getting a lot of the first team reps. We don't know who's starting.

Simeon makes a big difference to me on how I rate Huge. The wide receivers and the running backs for sure.

Now what do you make of the news? About what Yesterday you read about Doug Martin and Jacquiz Rogers getting some more carries and then this report from the Bucks offensive coordinator came out saying they're not pleased with the running game.

[Mike Wright]

Well, what's, I don't know if you remember it off the top of your head, but devontae Booker since taking over the running the main running back position for Denver, what's his yards per carry?

[Jason Moore]

His last I think five games was 2.9 per carry.

[Mike Wright]

Doug Martin since coming back from his injuries right around 2.8.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah. So I mean, can't be pleased with that.

No.

[Mike Wright]

And what's tough is Rogers was effective. I mean, so this isn't, we don't know exactly what is what the problem is. I mean, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are near the bottom of the league when it comes to yards before contact. So it's, it's tough sledding for Doug Martin. But it's the same, it's the same line, the same scheme that jock quiz Rogers was running behind and having some success. I still imagine that Doug Martin will be the primary running back, but I'm not expecting that 22 carry game from Doug Martin in which stinks with the great matchup against the Saints.

A couple quick updates on the Thursday night game before we get into the rest of the matchups. We previewed Thursday night on yesterday's show, but Jeremy Macklin's going to play.

And here's a stat for you because I want to know how you feel. Latavius Murray has set season highs and touches and playing time in back to back weeks. Yeah, we know about DeAndre Washington's inactivity. This is turning into the Bell Cow Murray situation.

[Mike Wright]

This is, this is the west coast. Jay Ajayi where the coaching staff all off season was trying desperately to find a different running back. I mean they were any big name running back who was a free agent. The Raiders were linked to him. They were linked to drafting Ezekiel Elliott if he somehow fell to them the beginning of the season. They were in a three way timeshare trying to get other people involved who just. And they were hoping DeAndre Washington could do some things. People just failed to take care of that job. And now Latavius Murray is a true workhorse running back the last couple weeks and he's, he's producing like that. So congratulations to a tip of the cap. If you bought Latavius Murray low in the middle of the season, get ready because you have a stud running back moving forward.

And what's funny is the Chiefs, they're middle of the pack against the run. But when you look, it's like they have either great games or bad games. They have over seven games this year where they've given up more than 100 yards on the ground the last three weeks. Two of them were over 100, the other one was 94 yards on the ground.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, Murray. Murray looks great. Would you take Murray or Gordon rest of season?

[Mike Wright]

Gordon still Gordon for me.

[Jason Moore]

Just. Just making sure. All right, let's jump into the Steelers in the Bills matchup this week in Buffalo. Steelers are favored by a point and a half, 47 point over under. We said we'd talk a little bit about the weather if it was relevant. Some light snow game will be in the 20s but over under and Vegas thinks that there's going to be some points on the board. So the big stories from this game to me circle around a couple guys that I really like this week that I'm not sure you guys do, but that's Sammy. Sammy Watkins and Ladarius Green are kind of the start sick questions for me in this game you're not going to be sitting McCoy or love Bell or Antonio Brown.

[Mike Wright]

If you're playing me in the playoffs and you want to sit McCoy, it's probably a good idea.

[Jason Moore]

If you're playing against you.

[Mike Wright]

Yes.

[Jason Moore]

Oh, okay. You're just putting that out there. I'm just saying you want to be here next week. So guys, talk to me about Sammy Watkins. What's your perception? Because I haven't rated a lot higher than you both do this week.

Yeah, Watkins is a guy that obviously his snap percentage is going up, which is what you want. He's extremely, extremely talented and I think his floor should be okay. You know, in limited work the last two weeks he's had three receptions back to back weeks. I worry a little bit more in this game with the cold weather and the light snow and the gentle winds. I think this is going to turn into. I still think the points will come but I worry that it's going to turn more into a running game than a passing game. So Love Bell and Shady. I love Sammy Watkins, always has the chance of that big blow up game.

[Jason Moore]

But are there people out there thinking about flexing Mike Gillislee after last week's performance?

[Unknown Speaker]

I hope not.

[Mike Wright]

I'm sure you're thinking about it if you're in desperate times, but I would.

How about these quarterbacks, Big Ben and Tyrod Taylor? How do you feel about them this week?

[Mike Wright]

It's Big Ben on the road so it's always a bit of a risk here. What's funny for the Buffalo Bills is last week they kind of gave everyone, they said hey, did you miss our entire season? Well, we're going to give you a quick cram review of what our season has been in one game where for the first half.

[Jason Moore]

Nice start.

[Mike Wright]

First half they were, their defense looked fantastic. They were dominating. They were shutting down the entire passing game. Then the second half they went wee, let's, let's lose the game. And that's kind of been what has happened with their defense over the course of the season. So Big Ben is still a quarterback one for me even. Even though we know that the road splits are terrible.

[Jason Moore]

Any thoughts on Tyrod Taylor and streaming him at home in this matchup against the Steelers who are 19 to get the pass?

[Unknown Speaker]

I think you could do worse than that. Just because he's going to be able to run in cold weather at home.

[Mike Wright]

He's falling apart.

[Unknown Speaker]

Yeah, but he hasn't. He hasn't been great.

[Mike Wright]

I mean he was. He had a stretch there where he was so consistent of putting up great fantasy numbers and then the last in three weeks or so, it's just falling apart.

In fairness to him, he has lost so many pass catching options. He didn't have Charles Clay, Robert woods at times. Goodwin?

[Jason Moore]

No. Sammy Watkins.

That's his good stretch was without Sammy.

Yes, but. But he. Goodwin still had Woods. Now that being said, this is the first practice woods was practicing on a Wednesday.

I think woods is back which is good. All right. Chargers take on the panthers in Carolina. 48 and a half point over under. The weather's fine in this game so you know is to is Tyrell Williams and every week start now.

Yes, he's close to it.

I mean he's the one we love. Philip Rivers, right?

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, yeah.

Yeah, he's kind of just then he's a weekly start. He's just separated himself. That's good mathematics though, Mike. You've really illustrated the point.

It's difficult with the. With the shoulder. I say he's almost a weekly start because I think there are still you could have better options in your game.

Why do you 17 on the year.

[Unknown Speaker]

He only caught two passes last week and that was the first week really with that shoulder injury. So he's definitely a guy you can play but I don't think he is an absolute must start. That being said, he's got a good matchup this week with Carolina.

Would you start Terrell Pryor who you know is at home against Cincinnati but with Robert Griffin the third.

[Mike Wright]

Oh man.

Or would you start tell Rock Tyrell Williams on the road against Carolina.

[Mike Wright]

That is brutal. I would Terrell Prior of the all wide receivers his target share has actually been most top. Top of consistency.

Yeah. I was going to say Terrell Pryor is the guy that I would say.

Because they both have that upside.

That's how they remember how Pryor started the year. Pryor was Terrell Williams from last Week one to two catches, but one of them was always a big quick detour.

Terrell Pryor in 2017 is the wide receiver, what, 15?

Yeah, I'll go strong. Strong too. But we don't even know where he's going to sign.

[Jason Moore]

Yep, it's true. Someone might show the money back to this game. You know, Cam Newton. This is a, this is a tough question for a lot of fantasy owners because the allure of just starting Newton and locking him into your lineup every week is still there because he's Cam Newton. You're waiting for that game, but he has not done it. Now he's at home against, you know, a very beatable past defense. The Chargers are not a great, at least production wise past defense against fantasy quarterbacks. So are you fine starting him?

The Carolina Panthers are the 32nd, there's 32 teams, they're the 32nd ranked fantasy team against tight ends. And the last couple weeks while Keecley's been out, tight ends have just feasted. And so Antonio Gates is a guy that was almost my start of the week. The whole reason I didn't make it my start of the week. Luke Keakley looks like he's going to return. He has not cleared concussion protocol. If Keakley is out, then I'm definitely happy to play Antonio Gates.

Do you want to share any thoughts or maybe feelings about Greg Olson and the potential to start him in this game? Do you feel like sharing anything?

Sure. Dear Diary, what? I have Greg Olson and I traded for him when he was hot. He's now tight end number 19 since I've had him. But it's such a good matchup. What do I do, diary? I hope that his upside is not capped because of this matchup, but I like him. I think he'll get enough done in this game. You've got RG3 coming back. I think there's obviously a ton of upside with the Bengals defense this week. You know, they have, they played very well last week and they have 14 picks on the year, which is second in the league. So great playoff matchup for them.

Yeah, I think so. You know a guy in this game that I actually am very comfortable starting who I haven't been for several weeks. Perfect example here because I have been starting Rashad Jennings and I've been happy with him. I pumped the brakes on Rashad Jennings. A guy I would play over him in this game would be Isaiah Crowell. Crowell, yeah. Crowell should benefit from RG3 being there. The running threat of the quarterback has always helped the Crowell style player. Crowell has been obviously a quarterback change here, but over the last few weeks he has been a pass catching monster. Like all of a sudden he's catching close to what David Johnson and Le'Veon Bell are and he has never been a pass catcher.

Cold weather, you know. You know, usually favors the running game a little bit and So I think Crowell is someone that you could start. Who is one of those borderline guys you got to make a decision on.

That's very interesting. So to the wide receivers, Terrell Pryor, he's a. He's a basically a must start for me. I can't see really a scenario where you would sit him.

The big play down the field guy is the potential that I think you want to go with. And that would be Brandon LaFell. Brandon LaFell, he had a good week last week. Prior to that, he looked, since A.J. green went down, look like he can't be the one. But the Browns don't have the best defenders.

So I'm laughing because I'm looking at our rankings for this week which came out yesterday on the fantasy footballers dot com. They are tied for 37 in our rankings. They are tied. I got to get Boyd and LaFell. I'm bumping up Lafell and we all have them in different places too. Like myself and Jason have Boyd higher. But it is, it's team dependent. It's what you want and need from that type of.

And scoring format dependent because I think you've got, you know, more peppered short targets to Boyd, longer deep shots to Lafel in your normal game script.

We all love the Lions defense this week as a streaming option, they've only allowed six rushing touchdowns this year. Which begs the question, you know, Jordan Howard, how does he, how does he perform in this matchup? Being such a workhorse, such a focus of the offense and yet you have this, you know, three touchdowns last week, the lines have only given up six on the year.

I still like Jordan Howard.

Because it's volume. Volume is king. Man. Give me that guy that I know is going to touch the ball 15 times and think part of why, part of why the over under so low is the Lions defense is surging. The Bears defense, they've not been a doormat. They've been pretty solid on the year.

You saw the weapon that Allen can be. Moncrief is there really just love everything about the Colts in this game. I know the Texans have a respectable defense. I'm not. I'm not really trying to say they're going to have a breakdown. I just think it's one of those things where you're at home and the Colts are going to be able to perform.

And Harrison Smith, the Vikings state safety, stud safety is likely out for the year. I haven't seen an update saying that things have gotten better. You have to expect them to miss at least this week. So the slight upgrade for the Jags Passing offense. Nope, it's 2016, my friend. And I want to give people confidence because you look, if you're an espn, you open it up, you see red. Red is dead. When it comes to matchups, you go, oh, crap. My quarterback. Kirk Cousins is taking on Philadelphia 11th against quarterbacks Philly at home. However, the last four games are giving up nearly 300 yards and 1 1/2 touchdowns. Kirk Cousins is playing fantastic football. You have desean Jackson revenge game, revenge game taking on the Eagles and maybe Jordan Reed is back. Even if Reed is not back. Jameson Crowder is playing fantastic football.

[Jason Moore]

Weapons.

Kirk Cousins. Kirk Cousins is playing great.

He's playing great. Do not be scared of the Philadelphia defense.

No. He was almost my. My start of the week. It was between him and this other guy. I let you pick. You took Cousins. I think that's great. I. I am fine. And the reason that I'm going with Matthew Stafford this week is because a lot of teams that have him very similar to how you're thinking might think, okay, this is a divisional game. This is against Chicago, who just, you know, shut down Colin Kaepernick, who their defense has been.

Yeah. And the snow. He clearly has never been in the cold. This is in A dome.

[Jason Moore]

You're going Matthew Stafford.

[Unknown Speaker]

This is in a dome at home. A very meaningful game for the Detroit Lions against a team that they should beat. They have to beat and they will beat. And they're not going to be able to run the ball well because they just haven't been.

[Jason Moore]

I mean, they just signed Joe Bell. It tells you all you need to know.

Exactly. So I think Matthew Stafford is going to put up two touchdowns, 250.

[Jason Moore]

And let's.

And his upside is he just better embarrasses him.

Absolutely. I agree with that and I think it's a good call. I think a lot of our starts right now we're talking about those questions we're getting on Twitter and through the website. It's do I start Stafford or this guy or that guy? And this should help you have some confidence. My guy, same vein confidence. It's Russell Wilson. He's my number two ranked quarterback this week. He's in Green Bay. You have Earl Thomas now out in the secondary. There's susceptibility there for Aaron Rodgers, who I like as well, but not more than Russell. I like Russell the most this week. We know the Green Bay struggles. I'm not worried about weather. I think Russell's been moving very, very well. I like him and I'd start him over. Everybody except for Andrew Luck this week.

All right.

[Jason Moore]

I'm going to come right back and give you my running back start of the week. You guys get yours all ready to go. Mine is Mark Ingram against Tampa last week. Ingram had only seven carries, but he did produce 37 yards. Get this, five receptions in limited work last week for 16 yards. Love the reception totals. Love the fact that Tim Hightower only had two carries and one catch. And we know what happened last week. They had to ditch the run completely. This was that matchup where, you know, they basically Drew Brees disappointed everybody despite going to the pass. Mark Ingram, we talked about him in the beginning of the show. He's an RB1 on the season and he is an RB1 potential for this week for me. So I actually have a lot of confidence in Mark Ingram. I'm not worried about the toe being a major issue. He only had one limited practice last week and it came later in the week. He's already had a limited practice this week. So I'm very confident in Mark Ingram and like Mike said, he's the best running back on that team. He's produced better than Hightower lately. Just needs to stay healthy and I like him.

[Mike Wright]

I love it. I'm Going with a guy who I've got him back in that running back to area and he's been very disappointing for a stretcher and that was Jonathan Stewart and I know that on paper thing. Well, the San Diego run defense, yeah, they're third in the league, but the last three weeks they're giving up around 90 yards and a touchdown to the running back position. The Panthers are at home. I just think that there could finally be some running room here for J. Stu. I expect him to be back in that higher total of carries and I want a running back to who's going to get volume. So I like Jonathan Stewart again this week.

Yeah, I think he is a decent playoff matchup for that. That flex type option where a lot of people are going to be saying, do I start him or you know, Jeremy Hill or whoever.

[Mike Wright]

Well, that would be Jeremy Hill.

[Unknown Speaker]

I forgot the Cleveland Browns. My start of the week this week is going to be Spencer Ware.

[Jason Moore]

I love that. If I knew I could, I should have taken that.

[Unknown Speaker]

Spencer Ware is. Has just been as reliable a running back as you could ask for. And in the last seven games he played, six of them are over double digits in fantasy for half point PPR scoring, which is the format we go by. Three of those games have been over 20 points. He's evolved in the past game. He's involved in the running game. And the Oakland Raiders, they can put up points even in Kansas City. On Kansas City and that just means more touchdowns need to be scored by Kansas City. The nice thing about Spencer Ware being involved in the passing game and the running game is you're not game scripting him out there. Oakland is 25th against.

[Jason Moore]

I'm going to put you on the spot here because I don't think anybody in their right mind is benching Spencer Ware. So I don't think that's a question. The question is, Jason, are you starting him over? Devontae Freeman, are you starting over? I am starting Jordan Howard.

The reason that I went for the playoffs, I think we need better options. We need higher options. We're not looking for guys you're going to necessarily be playing, you know, off of the waivers. You know, when it comes to Spencer Ware, for me, there's very few people I would start over him. He's my sixth ranked running back this week. I have him ranked ahead of. Yeah, Devonta Freeman and Matt Forte. Jeremy Hill we just talked about. Wow. I love where I do. I like where a lot this week. That's why he's my start.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, I'm Ranked the same. I have him ranked 6. Love him.

All right, wide receivers.

I'll go with my wide receiver because I love it. He's my guy last year. He's a late season hero.

He is amazing late bloomer like you.

And he is the one, only the Doug Baldwin. Doug Baldwin has a juicy matchup this week. Green Bay has just been as terrible a defense and as good an offense as you can hope for for a guy like Doug Baldwin to find his way. Here's a great stat from our good friend Scott Barrett over on Twitter. Over the last 19 regular season games, you've got Russell Wilson as your number two quarterback.

Sure do.

Over Russell Wilson's last 19 regular season games. He has a 152.2 passer rating when targeting Doug Baldwin. Perfect Passer rating is 158.3 against Green.

[Mike Wright]

Bay, of course, 158.3. Very logical, right?

Makes sense against Green Bay in a game that they're going to be able to throw. Doug Baldwin is going to get in the end zone. I've got him as a locked and loaded wide receiver. One really like Doug Baldwin this week.

My wide receiver start of the week may shock you. I know it's little dangerous, it's a little hot. It's a little dangerous.

Sammy Watkins. Sammy Watkins, I have him at wide receiver 15 this week. I think he is startable. He went from 25 snaps to 49 snaps last week. So he doubled his participation on the field. He is fixing chemistry issues with Tyrod Taylor and we've talked about this matchup between the Bills and the Steelers in their offense. I know it's hot, I know it's a hot take. But this is what I'm saying. If you need to start a solid and startable wide receiver too with a potential surprise. Sammy Watkins, he's my start of the week.

He certainly has the potential, the talent, you know, to take a long deep ball 80 yards for a touchdown and have a great week. I've got him ranked 28 this week. I still worry a little bit about the weather.

Don't blame you at all.

[Mike Wright]

All right. My guy is. I gotta have a contingency here as apparently my man Trevor Simeon is still looking not locked and loaded as I felt he should be. But this is a if Trevor Simeon is the quarterback. Emmanuel Sanders. I love it. I'm running the combo here. Jason stream of the week is Trevor Simeon. Tennessee is giving up over 40 fantasy points per game. To wide receivers the last five games. There's massive production available for the wide receiver position and we know that Trevor Simeon can make things happen with Sanders. Sanders is a spectacular wide receiver. I think he has the speed and just and the perfect skill set to exploit the Tennessee Titans secondary. I'll just flip it over to my tight end.

[Mike Wright]

Cameron Brait highest over under the week. I want a piece of that action. Maybe you don't have slice of Brait maybe. Maybe you don't have Jameis Winston. Might as well have Jameis Winston's number two option and that is Cameron Brait who you like him to get that 40 to 60 yards which is solid for most tight ends. But then you, you have a larger than usual probability of scoring a touchdown against New Orleans. I like camera Brait.

Jason tight end start.

My tight end start of the week again. I'm going a little higher up to a guy that I think is going to have a monster game. Most people probably starting him despite the fact that he only had two receptions last week. That is Tyler Eiford the number one red zone target for Andy Dalton against the 30th ranked Cleveland Brown against tight ends. Tyler Eiferna in standard scoring is my number one tight end of the week.

Oh my.

So I would start him over all. If you're playing against Tyler Eifert, I think you need to prepare for, you know, that kind of two touchdown game type of potential. And so Tyler Eifert to me is a guy that he is 100% started and he's going to have a monster game.

[Jason Moore]

My tight end start of the week has more hundred yard games than Cameron Brait does because Braid has none. And I like a guy who has the potential to give you a monster playoff week and who also makes me feel like he has now established himself with a safe floor. And that's Ladarius Green. He's my number four ranked tight end this week. I have my spot ahead of Cameron Brait. Last week we saw the potential of Ladarius Green. Not the guarantee but the potential. But it was over 100 yards. It was a touchdown. It was a big integral piece of the Pittsburgh offense. I just feel like the targets are going to be there and you and that potential is playoff winning potential. So for me, only ifrt Graham and Kelsey I have ranked higher than the Darius Green. So those are our starts of the week.

You know what? They're not, not a boom boom. And I'm going for the first time, surprisingly the first time this year that I'm picking him. I'm doing it against a very difficult matchup. I think the first, the third best defense against kickers is the New England Patriots. And I'm saying, Justin Tucker, you kick that 70 yard field goal, you do it, you go and you boom boom. Because Joe Flacco is healthy, we forget that he had super late knee surgery. He has not been healthy at the very beginning of the year. He's healthy, he's going to be able to move the ball enough to get in range. Just enough, just enough to get in range.

See, this is, this is why, you know those hard. Some people might not know whether to start Tyler Iford or not. That being said, my number two ranked is Jimmy Graham and they flip for me in scoring format. If you're in any kind of half point or full point ppr, Jimmy Graham will absolutely have more targets and probably more yards than Tyler Ifer. So I lean Jimmy Graham.

Graham's my number one.

Yeah. Even over my Tyler ifr. If you're in a standard league where touchdowns rain supreme, I feel like if it is guaranteed the touchdown. So I would go ifer.

Do you start either of them over Booker in the flex?

If it's a ppr, I start. I think I start Jimmy Graham over Booker in the flex.

[Mike Wright]

Oh, I'd man, I don't. I don't blame you. It's. Why. Why are they not throwing devonte Booker the ball? He's a spectacular pass catching running back. That was one of his. His strengths strengths coming out of college was he's a great pass catcher. Throwing the ball. It's ridiculous.

Yeah. The offense has been disjointed without Simeon and some of the tumult.

The thing is is if you have to debate the merits of they're both on the road and they both have a quote unquote tough situation. You know, Buffalo is not really in hunt, you know, whereas Kansas City is a legit upper tier type of team. I still think there's upside for Carr, but I'd go Big Ben.

Yeah. I mean I would look for a Jameis Winston or Kirk Cousins or Philip Rivers if for any reason they're out there. Otherwise they're.

They're not. You got to make this decision.
