Jason Moore
Week 14 is here. Oh, but are you ready?
Mike Wright
I got the bubble guts already.
Jason Moore
You've prepared yourself.
Mike Wright
I've got the.
Jason Moore
You're already nervous?
Mike Wright
Yep.
Jason Moore
Welcome into the Fantasy Footballers Podcast. Andy, Mike and Jason, once again with you, prepping you for week 14, your fantasy playoffs and a whole lot more. We've got all your news. We got the fantasy forecast. We have our highly flammable starts of the week.
Mike Wright
Who Combustible Fire.
Jason Moore
Fire. Yeah. We're gonna debut our week 14 starts today. Gonna talk about a lot of different things. There is a new bobblehead at the front of our desk that I bought for someone in here that has not. Is not looking at me right now. I bought it for him as a commemoration of the gift that devonte Adams keeps giving you.
Unknown Speaker
Devonte Adams, regardless of what he does feel.
Jason Moore
Look at his head bobble.
Unknown Speaker
He will always stink.
Mike Wright
Did I take Jason out of the playoffs?
Jason Moore
Nodding. He's nodding.
Unknown Speaker
Yes, I did. I hate you to bother.
Jason Moore
All right. Hey, before. Before we get going with the news, I have a quick question in the form of a game. You guys ready?
Mike Wright
Love it.
Jason Moore
Playing a game of who am I? Let's see if you can figure this one out. And I will give this hint as well. It ties into something, something interesting later in the show. So who am I? Here's here's clue number one. I'm the RB 10 in half point scoring. Okay.
Mike Wright
Okay. Running back 10.
Jason Moore
Running back 10 and a half points scoring. Are you with us, Jason?
Unknown Speaker
I am with us.
Jason Moore
All right. I'm 21st among running backs and attempts. Even Devonte Booker has more carries than I do.
Mike Wright
Okay, so low volume, high production, high production.
Jason Moore
Number three. I'm 13th in rushing yards in the league with 758. However, John Kuhn and Robert Turbin both have one more rushing touchdown than I do. It's kind of Sad. Okay, number four, Theo Riddick leads running backs with five receiving TDs, but I'm tied for second with James White with four of them.
Unknown Speaker
I got it.
Jason Moore
You Got one clue left, so let's see if you can get it.
Unknown Speaker
Well, give me the last clue.
Jason Moore
Well, no, no, no, no.
Unknown Speaker
All right. I think receiving touchdowns, who has not had as much volume as we hoped and is coming up later in the show has to be Marcus Ingram.
Jason Moore
Mark. Not Marcus, but yes, Mark Ingram.
Mike Wright
All right.
Jason Moore
Mark Ingram is the name. Isn't that interesting? He's number 10 in half point scoring, but man, those touchdowns was goal line. You heard one of the names. John Kuhn stealing them.
Mike Wright
Dirty rat.
Unknown Speaker
He's catching him.
Jason Moore
John Koons catching Ingram.
Unknown Speaker
No, I'm saying Ingram's catching the. You know. Yeah. And most of those have been down around the goal line. Those little three, four yard screen passes to Ingram. They've been working.
Mike Wright
I just stayed.
Jason Moore
We will talk about them later in the show.
Mike Wright
Note to Sean Payton. Mark Ingram is the best running back on your team.
Unknown Speaker
Seriously.
Jason Moore
We'll talk about that later in the show.
Unknown Speaker
Okay?
Jason Moore
I promise he will come up. Very important discussion on Mark Ingram coming.
Mike Wright
All right.
Jason Moore
If you want to follow the show, you can do so on Twitter @ the FF Ballers. Make sure you check us out on YouTube. You can see this bobbling Devonte Adams gift that I just sacrificially purchased for Jason and he's shown very little appreciation for zero. You can see that on YouTube. We're also on the fantasy sports network and you can find us on the web atthe fantasy footballers.com and we're on obviously itunes and Google Play and everywhere you like listening to podcasts, subscribe, tune in every day all year long. We're here giving you news, giving you information. All right, let's get into the news.
Andy Holloway
News and notes from around the league.
Jason Moore
All right, I'm going to let this one be. Our headliner, Gary Kubiak said Wednesday that Justin for set will be an immediate part of the Broncos backfield plans. Quote, he can help us quickly. We need someone to step in and contribute. It was a blessing that he was let go last week. So now Kubiak, they've signed Justin for set. Familiar with Kubiak system. Probably more familiar than even Devonte Booker is.
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah.
Jason Moore
Veteran, fresh legs.
Mike Wright
This is why I said it's. It seems like a funny blurb note that Justin Forset was signed by the Broncos, but it should not be ignored. Having said that, what is. What is an immediate impact is that eight carries.
Jason Moore
Well, that, let me ask, was getting. Jason.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Would you drop any of your handcuffs to pick up Justin Forsyth?
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, I would. It depends. I'm not dropping My very necessary handcuffs. Right.
Jason Moore
You mean your.
Unknown Speaker
If I've got shady handcuffs. Yeah. If I've got shady who's always in and out and Gillislee is a good, fine backup, you know, I'm not going to drop them. But you know, I'm dropping. For me, I'm going to drop Andre Ellington possibly because I think that four set could come out and I'm no. 1. No one should start for set this week. That would be ludicrous. It'd be stupid. That being said, he could come out and end up in a complete 5050 or even. I wouldn't be shocked if he had the majority of carries. I'm not projecting that. But that could happen. And if that happens in a Kubiak system that he's familiar with, with fresh legs, there could be fantasy value there.
Jason Moore
He can catch the ball, too.
Mike Wright
Yeah. And we've seen the backup running back always be the. The best looker on the team.
Jason Moore
Here's a big story in that same game. Simeon, Trevor Simeons, he's out of his boot, but Paxton lynch still getting a lot of the first team reps. We don't know who's starting.
Mike Wright
Oh, come on.
Jason Moore
Simeon makes a big difference to me on how I rate Huge. The wide receivers and the running backs for sure.
Unknown Speaker
Trevor Simeon's my stream of the week, so you better be playing.
Jason Moore
All right. Browns plan to start RG3.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Is there anybody else that plans to start him?
Mike Wright
Well, I want to know who's going to finish the game.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, that's. That's a great question.
Jason Moore
Do they have to report to. Do they have to report the starter and the finisher?
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
The Browns, too.
Mike Wright
It's a closer.
Unknown Speaker
I believe that those are called closers.
Jason Moore
Right.
Unknown Speaker
I'm a baseball guy. Andy.
Jason Moore
What if that's the strategy they took with him? He gets the first half and then he won't get hurt.
Unknown Speaker
Then they'll have him for the next week. That's about the only way.
Jason Moore
Adrian Peterson confirmed what we talked about earlier in the week. He won't return if the Vikings are eliminated from playoff contention before he's ready. So he's a very. So does that mean sketchy ad?
Unknown Speaker
Does that mean that if they're in playoff contention that he will return before he's ready?
Jason Moore
No, no, no, no, no.
Unknown Speaker
But that's what it seems like because, like, I'm not going to return.
Jason Moore
He's saying if they're eliminated right before he's ready, then he will not play.
Unknown Speaker
Okay.
Jason Moore
That's what he said.
Unknown Speaker
I'm with you.
Jason Moore
Shane Vereen. No new report on his status. I don't think we really, I don't know how much that impacts everything the Giants are deciding this week. I don't think anybody's starting Paul Perkins. Rashad Jennings, Mike talked about him earlier this week, pumped the brakes on Rashad Jennings.
Unknown Speaker
That was my.
Mike Wright
I certainly did not. That was Jason Moore.
Jason Moore
That was Jason.
Unknown Speaker
Yes.
Jason Moore
You guys are both the same to me. Ryan Matthews ready to go?
Mike Wright
Yep. Doug Peterson says he's going to play. So Ryan Matthews will be inactive.
Jason Moore
Who knows. You confuse every time we bring up Eagles. I worry that our listeners do not understand what you're actually trying to say.
Mike Wright
Sorry, I just, I do the opposite of what Doug Peterson says. But I actually Ryan Matthews should be playing this weekend.
Jason Moore
Now what do you make of the news? About what Yesterday you read about Doug Martin and Jacquiz Rogers getting some more carries and then this report from the Bucks offensive coordinator came out saying they're not pleased with the running game.
Mike Wright
Well, what's, I don't know if you remember it off the top of your head, but devontae Booker since taking over the running the main running back position for Denver, what's his yards per carry?
Jason Moore
His last I think five games was 2.9 per carry.
Mike Wright
Doug Martin since coming back from his injuries right around 2.8.
Jason Moore
Yeah. So I mean, can't be pleased with that.
Unknown Speaker
No.
Mike Wright
And what's tough is Rogers was effective. I mean, so this isn't, we don't know exactly what is what the problem is. I mean, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are near the bottom of the league when it comes to yards before contact. So it's, it's tough sledding for Doug Martin. But it's the same, it's the same line, the same scheme that jock quiz Rogers was running behind and having some success. I still imagine that Doug Martin will be the primary running back, but I'm not expecting that 22 carry game from Doug Martin in which stinks with the great matchup against the Saints.
Jason Moore
A reminder on tomorrow's show, we'll have in and out. We'll go through all the injured players and give you our kind of Friday viewpoint as to whether these guys are going to play. You're talking about the, I don't know, the Julio Jones and Sammy Watkins and Theo Riddick and all these guys that show up as Q on your on your roster. So we'll go through all those tomorrow. Stay tuned for that. And right now we're going to get into the forecast.
Andy Holloway
Fantasy forecast.
Jason Moore
How you doing this morning, Jason?
Unknown Speaker
I feel a little under the weather.
Mike Wright
You sound.
Jason Moore
You sound a lot. Otto. Under the weather.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, I'm back.
Jason Moore
I'm like a frog in your throat. Like you got some David Blaine going on.
Mike Wright
If a dumpster could speak, that's what it would sound like.
Jason Moore
If a dumpster could talk.
Unknown Speaker
You just. Bro, did you just call me a dumpster?
Mike Wright
I did.
Jason Moore
Bro, did you just call me a dumpster?
Unknown Speaker
Yeah. We're going to have a fight after this.
Jason Moore
A couple quick updates on the Thursday night game before we get into the rest of the matchups. We previewed Thursday night on yesterday's show, but Jeremy Macklin's going to play.
Mike Wright
Yay.
Jason Moore
And here's a stat for you because I want to know how you feel. Latavius Murray has set season highs and touches and playing time in back to back weeks. Yeah, we know about DeAndre Washington's inactivity. This is turning into the Bell Cow Murray situation.
Mike Wright
This is, this is the west coast. Jay Ajayi where the coaching staff all off season was trying desperately to find a different running back. I mean they were any big name running back who was a free agent. The Raiders were linked to him. They were linked to drafting Ezekiel Elliott if he somehow fell to them the beginning of the season. They were in a three way timeshare trying to get other people involved who just. And they were hoping DeAndre Washington could do some things. People just failed to take care of that job. And now Latavius Murray is a true workhorse running back the last couple weeks and he's, he's producing like that. So congratulations to a tip of the cap. If you bought Latavius Murray low in the middle of the season, get ready because you have a stud running back moving forward.
Unknown Speaker
And what's funny is the Chiefs, they're middle of the pack against the run. But when you look, it's like they have either great games or bad games. They have over seven games this year where they've given up more than 100 yards on the ground the last three weeks. Two of them were over 100, the other one was 94 yards on the ground.
Jason Moore
Yeah, Murray. Murray looks great. Would you take Murray or Gordon rest of season?
Mike Wright
Gordon still Gordon for me.
Jason Moore
Just. Just making sure. All right, let's jump into the Steelers in the Bills matchup this week in Buffalo. Steelers are favored by a point and a half, 47 point over under. We said we'd talk a little bit about the weather if it was relevant. Some light snow game will be in the 20s but over under and Vegas thinks that there's going to be some points on the board. So the big stories from this game to me circle around a couple guys that I really like this week that I'm not sure you guys do, but that's Sammy. Sammy Watkins and Ladarius Green are kind of the start sick questions for me in this game you're not going to be sitting McCoy or love Bell or Antonio Brown.
Mike Wright
If you're playing me in the playoffs and you want to sit McCoy, it's probably a good idea.
Jason Moore
If you're playing against you.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
Oh, okay. You're just putting that out there. I'm just saying you want to be here next week. So guys, talk to me about Sammy Watkins. What's your perception? Because I haven't rated a lot higher than you both do this week.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, Watkins is a guy that obviously his snap percentage is going up, which is what you want. He's extremely, extremely talented and I think his floor should be okay. You know, in limited work the last two weeks he's had three receptions back to back weeks. I worry a little bit more in this game with the cold weather and the light snow and the gentle winds. I think this is going to turn into. I still think the points will come but I worry that it's going to turn more into a running game than a passing game. So Love Bell and Shady. I love Sammy Watkins, always has the chance of that big blow up game.
Jason Moore
But are there people out there thinking about flexing Mike Gillislee after last week's performance?
Unknown Speaker
I hope not.
Mike Wright
I'm sure you're thinking about it if you're in desperate times, but I would.
Unknown Speaker
Not that's if that's for your consolation.
Jason Moore
Gillisley or four set this week?
Mike Wright
Gillisly. Yeah, okay, that one's easy.
Jason Moore
How about these quarterbacks, Big Ben and Tyrod Taylor? How do you feel about them this week?
Mike Wright
It's Big Ben on the road so it's always a bit of a risk here. What's funny for the Buffalo Bills is last week they kind of gave everyone, they said hey, did you miss our entire season? Well, we're going to give you a quick cram review of what our season has been in one game where for the first half.
Jason Moore
Nice start.
Mike Wright
First half they were, their defense looked fantastic. They were dominating. They were shutting down the entire passing game. Then the second half they went wee, let's, let's lose the game. And that's kind of been what has happened with their defense over the course of the season. So Big Ben is still a quarterback one for me even. Even though we know that the road splits are terrible.
Jason Moore
Any thoughts on Tyrod Taylor and streaming him at home in this matchup against the Steelers who are 19 to get the pass?
Unknown Speaker
I think you could do worse than that. Just because he's going to be able to run in cold weather at home.
Mike Wright
He's falling apart.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, but he hasn't. He hasn't been great.
Mike Wright
I mean he was. He had a stretch there where he was so consistent of putting up great fantasy numbers and then the last in three weeks or so, it's just falling apart.
Unknown Speaker
In fairness to him, he has lost so many pass catching options. He didn't have Charles Clay, Robert woods at times. Goodwin?
Jason Moore
No. Sammy Watkins.
Unknown Speaker
Sammy Watkins.
Mike Wright
That's his good stretch was without Sammy.
Unknown Speaker
Yes, but. But he. Goodwin still had Woods. Now that being said, this is the first practice woods was practicing on a Wednesday.
Jason Moore
I think woods is back which is good. All right. Chargers take on the panthers in Carolina. 48 and a half point over under. The weather's fine in this game so you know is to is Tyrell Williams and every week start now.
Unknown Speaker
Yes, he's close to it.
Mike Wright
I mean he's the one we love. Philip Rivers, right?
Jason Moore
Yeah, yeah.
Mike Wright
He's the wide receiver one, right?
Jason Moore
Yeah, he's kind of just then he's a weekly start. He's just separated himself. That's good mathematics though, Mike. You've really illustrated the point.
Unknown Speaker
It's difficult with the. With the shoulder. I say he's almost a weekly start because I think there are still you could have better options in your game.
Jason Moore
Why do you 17 on the year.
Unknown Speaker
He only caught two passes last week and that was the first week really with that shoulder injury. So he's definitely a guy you can play but I don't think he is an absolute must start. That being said, he's got a good matchup this week with Carolina.
Jason Moore
Would you start Terrell Pryor who you know is at home against Cincinnati but with Robert Griffin the third.
Mike Wright
Oh man.
Jason Moore
Or would you start tell Rock Tyrell Williams on the road against Carolina.
Mike Wright
That is brutal. I would Terrell Prior of the all wide receivers his target share has actually been most top. Top of consistency.
Jason Moore
Sure.
Mike Wright
Just getting that that percentage catches over.
Jason Moore
The last five weeks. 655-56-56.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah. I was going to say Terrell Pryor is the guy that I would say.
Mike Wright
Because they both have that upside.
Unknown Speaker
Robert Griffin.
Mike Wright
That's how they remember how Pryor started the year. Pryor was Terrell Williams from last Week one to two catches, but one of them was always a big quick detour.
Jason Moore
Terrell Pryor in 2017 is the wide receiver, what, 15?
Mike Wright
Yeah, I'll go strong. Strong too. But we don't even know where he's going to sign.
Jason Moore
Yep, it's true. Someone might show the money back to this game. You know, Cam Newton. This is a, this is a tough question for a lot of fantasy owners because the allure of just starting Newton and locking him into your lineup every week is still there because he's Cam Newton. You're waiting for that game, but he has not done it. Now he's at home against, you know, a very beatable past defense. The Chargers are not a great, at least production wise past defense against fantasy quarterbacks. So are you fine starting him?
Mike Wright
The. Yeah, he's.
Unknown Speaker
He's our consensus number 11 quarterback. So if you're top 12, you're startable in the playoffs. I would hope that I've got, you know, a top six type of guy though.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I mean I have to start Newton in one of my leagues over Mariota this week. Yeah, I feel very comfortable about because of Mario playing Denver. Really like Philip Rivers this week.
Unknown Speaker
Agreed.
Jason Moore
So what are the other questions from this game?
Unknown Speaker
Well, I would say it's worth noting that for your offensive weapons in San Diego, Luke Keakley was back at practice today. The Carolina Panthers are the 32nd, there's 32 teams, they're the 32nd ranked fantasy team against tight ends. And the last couple weeks while Keecley's been out, tight ends have just feasted. And so Antonio Gates is a guy that was almost my start of the week. The whole reason I didn't make it my start of the week. Luke Keakley looks like he's going to return. He has not cleared concussion protocol. If Keakley is out, then I'm definitely happy to play Antonio Gates.
Jason Moore
Do you want to share any thoughts or maybe feelings about Greg Olson and the potential to start him in this game? Do you feel like sharing anything?
Unknown Speaker
Sure. Dear Diary, what? I have Greg Olson and I traded for him when he was hot. He's now tight end number 19 since I've had him. But it's such a good matchup. What do I do, diary? How do I live with myself if I play him? How do I go on if I don't? I have no idea. So I guess I'll roll with the hall of Famer and play Greg Olson.
Jason Moore
Oh, wow.
Mike Wright
It was a happy ending.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, maybe. I hope I don't have to have another deer diary on Monday.
Jason Moore
You may have to come back.
Unknown Speaker
But honestly, I, you know, he was also in consideration for start of the week. You know, clearly I did not do either. But Greg Olson is startable this week. San Diego's not been great against Titans.
Mike Wright
And I'll say this about Gates, just real, he's closing in on that Tony Gonzalez touchdown record and they have just a few games left.
Unknown Speaker
Really important to them.
Mike Wright
They've said that I think Gates is done this year. So they're forced feet. There might be a couple.
Jason Moore
I've never seen more of those screen passes to Gates on the goal line than I have this year. Like that's not how he used to get them.
Mike Wright
We knew that they were going to chase the record.
Jason Moore
All right, before we move on to the Bears and or, I'm sorry, the Bengals and the Browns matchup, I do want to thank today's sponsor, Blue Apron. Jason Moore
Saw Joey Bosa helmet.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I signed mini Joey Bosa helmet. But I gotta, I got. I gotta tell you, I was scoping this Julio Jones autographed jersey yesterday. Someone snatched it right from out from under my feet.
Jason Moore
You can't even speak, you're so upset.
Unknown Speaker
We were also looking at canvas. That Julio canvas.
Mike Wright
Yeah, there was a beautiful Julio Jones canvas. There's all kinds of things. And for every budget over@pristineauction.com spruce up the house, spruce up the office, get everything tight, get it right.
Jason Moore
If you're like Mike, you love to mock your fantasy opponents with the players that have defeated.
Mike Wright
Yeah, you got it.
Jason Moore
I mean, you got a championship like a Mike.
Unknown Speaker
You got a Devonte Adams bobblehead because.
Jason Moore
You beat me like everyone in the world.
Unknown Speaker
Yes.
Mike Wright
So head over to Pristine Auction. That's P R I S T I n e auction.com. make a completely free account. Let them know that the fantasy footballers sent you.
Jason Moore
Bengals, Browns, Everybody's favorite matchup, 43 point over under. That's low.
Mike Wright
Everyone's favorite defensive streamer.
Jason Moore
Going to have some light wind, light snow.
Mike Wright
Light sadness.
Jason Moore
Light sadness, Heavy sadness. So you know the Browns five and a half point dogs at home. I know that stream of the week. I went with Dalton this week. I hope that his upside is not capped because of this matchup, but I like him. I think he'll get enough done in this game. You've got RG3 coming back. I think there's obviously a ton of upside with the Bengals defense this week. You know, they have, they played very well last week and they have 14 picks on the year, which is second in the league. So great playoff matchup for them.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, I think so. You know a guy in this game that I actually am very comfortable starting who I haven't been for several weeks. Perfect example here because I have been starting Rashad Jennings and I've been happy with him. I pumped the brakes on Rashad Jennings. A guy I would play over him in this game would be Isaiah Crowell. Crowell, yeah. Crowell should benefit from RG3 being there. The running threat of the quarterback has always helped the Crowell style player. Crowell has been obviously a quarterback change here, but over the last few weeks he has been a pass catching monster. Like all of a sudden he's catching close to what David Johnson and Le'Veon Bell are and he has never been a pass catcher.
Mike Wright
Stole Duke Johnson's milk money with the.
Unknown Speaker
Cold weather, you know. You know, usually favors the running game a little bit and So I think Crowell is someone that you could start. Who is one of those borderline guys you got to make a decision on.
Mike Wright
That's very interesting. So to the wide receivers, Terrell Pryor, he's a. He's a basically a must start for me. I can't see really a scenario where you would sit him.
Unknown Speaker
Agree.
Mike Wright
But over to the Bengals, Brandon LaFell off the big game. Tyler Boyd, another meh type of game. Are you comfortable starting either of these guys?
Jason Moore
Yeah, I guess the question is also like.
Mike Wright
Or either if.
Jason Moore
Which one? If you had to start one, who would it be?
Unknown Speaker
The big play down the field guy is the potential that I think you want to go with. And that would be Brandon LaFell. Brandon LaFell, he had a good week last week. Prior to that, he looked, since A.J. green went down, look like he can't be the one. But the Browns don't have the best defenders.
Jason Moore
So I'm laughing because I'm looking at our rankings for this week which came out yesterday on the fantasy footballers dot com. They are tied for 37 in our rankings. They are tied. I got to get Boyd and LaFell. I'm bumping up Lafell and we all have them in different places too. Like myself and Jason have Boyd higher. But it is, it's team dependent. It's what you want and need from that type of.
Unknown Speaker
And scoring format dependent because I think you've got, you know, more peppered short targets to Boyd, longer deep shots to Lafel in your normal game script.
Mike Wright
I agree with that. But I just, I think Lafell is Jason safe.
Jason Moore
Mike has LaFell as just outside the wide receiver too. I think 26.
Mike Wright
I think he's safe. I like Andy Dalton a lot. It's. It's the Rivers equation here where it's. You like Philip Rivers.
Unknown Speaker
Okay.
Mike Wright
I like Terrell Williams. It's. He's. Andy Dalton is going to score.
Unknown Speaker
That is why. We'll talk about this in a minute. That is why I like Andy Dalton and I like his number one and that's why my start is Tyler Eiford this week. We'll talk about that in a little while.
Jason Moore
Gary Barnage, I actually moved him up my rankings quite a bit this week. I like Barnage's potential in this game. Not as a high upside, just as a consistent.
Mike Wright
I like the potential here, but in.
Jason Moore
The playoffs I missed 12, so they're even at. Take that for what you will.
Unknown Speaker
Keep in mind.
Jason Moore
Yeah, but would you start him over Vernon Davis?
Mike Wright
I don't think so.
Jason Moore
Kobe Fleener, no, for sure. Jason Whitten.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I may be Whitten, but probably not.
Jason Moore
I can't Dwayne Allen after last week.
Mike Wright
No way.
Unknown Speaker
No, I can't get behind that.
Jason Moore
How about remember game one when our Austin Severian Jenkins.
Mike Wright
Okay, yeah, there you go. You gotage.
Unknown Speaker
Game one when RG3 played push came.
Jason Moore
To shove and it didn't work there.
Mike Wright
Well, those three tight end leagues.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah. Gary Barnage. That's. That's true. Gary Barnage was A Gooser Week 1 when RG3 was out there. Over the last few weeks he's caught one ball, two balls and one ball.
Mike Wright
The dream is dead.
Jason Moore
He got banged up.
Mike Wright
Sure.
Unknown Speaker
So is he fully. Did he get Wolverine healthy?
Jason Moore
I don't know.
Mike Wright
He's got Wolverine as a head coach.
Jason Moore
We'll find out.
Mike Wright
Give me some of that adamantium.
Jason Moore
Lions. Bears. Oh my.
Unknown Speaker
Tigers.
Jason Moore
The Lions are eight point favorites at home in the Dome, 43 and a half point over under here. You know, that's a little lower than I would have thought, but you know, you're talking about a Bears offense that really hasn't been able to get stuff accomplished. That's the worst analysis I've ever said. Hasn't been able to get stuff accomplished very well.
Mike Wright
So many tasks to complete and they just can't.
Jason Moore
Very inefficient.
Mike Wright
Get any done.
Jason Moore
They need a PDA to keep track of.
Mike Wright
They got to prioritize. They need a list app.
Jason Moore
So look, it's Matt Barkley. I think the reason this over under is not. It's not the lion side of the ball. It's the fact the Lions defense is playing well. We all love the Lions defense this week as a streaming option, they've only allowed six rushing touchdowns this year. Which begs the question, you know, Jordan Howard, how does he, how does he perform in this matchup? Being such a workhorse, such a focus of the offense and yet you have this, you know, three touchdowns last week, the lines have only given up six on the year.
Mike Wright
I still like Jordan Howard.
Jason Moore
Yeah, me too.
Mike Wright
Because it's volume. Volume is king. Man. Give me that guy that I know is going to touch the ball 15 times and think part of why, part of why the over under so low is the Lions defense is surging. The Bears defense, they've not been a doormat. They've been pretty solid on the year.
Unknown Speaker
Just look what they did to colleague Kaepernick.
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah, they held him to five pass attempts, but I mean they're sixth. And pass defense, they're 18th in running defense, they're. They're okay. I mean, they're not a bad. So my question to you is, do you have full confidence in Matthew Stafford?
Unknown Speaker
Him? I do. In fact, I have such confidence in a great question with a matchup that people might question that it's a division.
Mike Wright
Game against a decent defense.
Jason Moore
The Lions are fighting to keep this division.
Unknown Speaker
This is an important game to the Lions, and their running game is in shambles. You know, the injury to Dwayne Washington, they brought on Joy Bell. So I think Stafford is going to need to win this game, and I have confidence that he will do that.
Jason Moore
You hear the good news, guys? Have you heard it?
Mike Wright
Yeah. Is this the good news from yesterday or is there more good news?
Jason Moore
The good news about John Fox. He's going to be back, guys.
Unknown Speaker
Oh, all right.
Jason Moore
He's going to be back.
Unknown Speaker
That's good.
Mike Wright
I think that they extend him.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, that's.
Jason Moore
Well, no, they didn't.
Unknown Speaker
They just said that he's going to be back.
Jason Moore
They're not going to fire.
Unknown Speaker
I did see that.
Jason Moore
One of those not firing things.
Unknown Speaker
It's the right call. The. I mean, the Bears have lost like a hundred pieces this year.
Jason Moore
They're going to probably lose Vic Fangio, so they're best. Probably coach. And it's not going to be pretty there for a while. Okay. We're moving on Texas wide receivers.
Mike Wright
I mean.
Jason Moore
No. Okay. For the Lions because I might be able to name random names of individuals that.
Mike Wright
No.
Jason Moore
That you might or might not know. Is a Chicago wide receiver.
Mike Wright
No. Wide receiver.
Jason Moore
Daniel Brown.
Mike Wright
We should play the game.
Jason Moore
Is he real or fake?
Mike Wright
Am I a Chicago Bear wide receiver?
Unknown Speaker
I think you mean Daniel Braverman. Oh, no. Daniel Brown is there, too. Both of those guys are on the Bears start them both.
Mike Wright
Point taken. But Golden Tate, he's a must start. Marvin Jones, if he's back, do you play him? No, I don't play him either. Anquan Bolden. If Marvin Jones is out, do you play him?
Jason Moore
I'd rather play Ebron.
Unknown Speaker
I agree.
Mike Wright
Well, you probably don't have both.
Jason Moore
Here's the thing. Like, I thought about what I want to do with Tate this week, and he's. And he's ranked. Let me just.
Mike Wright
Let me just.
Unknown Speaker
Like he's a wide receiver.
Jason Moore
Yeah, he's 12. 12 and 13among us. Among us. But I don't see him in that top five contention this week. I don't see him having the kind of week he had last week. I don't think they're going to need it. I don't I think they're going to be able to do enough against the Bears to where Tate is not. He's not got that top 10 upside to me, so. Yeah, I mean, it doesn't mean you're not starting him. Well, we all said start him. He's a wide receiver. One.
Mike Wright
Yeah. What's Theo Riddick. The last two weeks he had the five receptions, but 5 for 13, 5 for 15.
Jason Moore
I know.
Mike Wright
I mean, not getting it done. Well, he's.
Unknown Speaker
He's hurt right now. You couldn't. You could see it, too.
Jason Moore
Texans, Colts. My number one quarterback this week is Andrew Luck.
Unknown Speaker
I don't blame you at all for that.
Jason Moore
This game's at home in Indy.
Mike Wright
He's riding on Ty's boat.
Jason Moore
Dude, Ty Hilton is my number two wide receiver. In half point leagues. These guys are standard leagues. Sorry. In standard leagues, number three and half point. I just absolutely love what I saw last week. I mean, he was always open. He was 711 last week. I mean, he was dominant. So I think those two combined for a great game. You saw the weapon that Allen can be. Moncrief is there really just love everything about the Colts in this game. I know the Texans have a respectable defense. I'm not. I'm not really trying to say they're going to have a breakdown. I just think it's one of those things where you're at home and the Colts are going to be able to perform.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I agree. They're at home.
Jason Moore
They.
Mike Wright
The Colts are like the Lions. They're fighting. They're fighting for a division. They're fighting for that playoff spot to take home the division title. Are you chasing Allen's points? Is Dwayne Allen back? He looks healthy. Or was that a one time they found an exploit in the jets defense?
Jason Moore
I didn't. I'm not chasing. Jason, are you chasing?
Unknown Speaker
I'm not chasing in the sense that I. You know, two of his plays were just completely broken, hapless defensive, you know, failures by the Jets.
Mike Wright
Part one of them was a very contested. Excellent catch, though.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, but I'm not. I don't feel like I have to chase points to say he's an okay play. He had five receptions the week before at Pittsburgh, four last week, three of which were touchdowns. He's always been a touchdown guy. Right. Came out week one, scored a touchdown.
Jason Moore
That's. That's his, like, bio.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah.
Jason Moore
On the back of every card. Every week one comes out week one and scores a touchdown.
Unknown Speaker
So, you know, coming up against Houston, the real problem I Have is the matchup. Houston's been very good against tight end. So in general, I think Dwayne Allen is someone we should remember and he's an okay start. Maybe next week. Houston is. They're fourth.
Mike Wright
Allen or the hat man.
Jason Moore
Oh, Fedorowitz. By a lot.
Unknown Speaker
Yes, I agree.
Mike Wright
All right, Just checking in.
Jason Moore
Texans tight ends have been targeted most in the league and The Colts ranked 24th against tight ends. And Fedorowicz is just that. He's the comfy, cozy, five catch guy with a chance at a touchdown that, you know, Hopkins or Moncrief.
Mike Wright
I was going to say. What about Hopkins? If it's Hopkins versus Moncrief, I think.
Jason Moore
I'm going to take Hopkins.
Mike Wright
Are you?
Jason Moore
I think so. My rankings probably don't reflect that. I think I quite yet.
Unknown Speaker
Let me see Moncrief.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I would probably. You talk about it's touchdown.
Jason Moore
I have them. I have them basically at the same point total. And I'm going to bump up Hopkins just a little bit to put him over the top. They're done. No, I like Hopkins a little bit more. You know, there's no volume there from Moncrief. He can get in the end zone, but this is the playoffs. I think the Colts defense being 28th against the pass and what Hopkins got away with last week. I'm going to take the shot.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah. For me, I would take.
Jason Moore
I don't blame you not doing it.
Unknown Speaker
You got your number one quarterback this weekend, Andrew Luck. I'm going to go ahead and take a guy who has Hopkins.
Jason Moore
Moncrief. You just. Oh, you were looking for this.
Mike Wright
Moncrief.
Unknown Speaker
Yes. You're not one quarterback.
Jason Moore
I just waterbedded with DeAndre Hopkins, guys.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah. Congratulations.
Jason Moore
Maybe take my temperature.
Mike Wright
Mistakes were made.
Jason Moore
I'm okay with.
Unknown Speaker
I'll take the guy who's had a touchdown in five straight games.
Jason Moore
Cool. Cool. You mean the like the unsustainable, like, sequential touchdown totals?
Mike Wright
That's what he does.
Unknown Speaker
That's what we said about Eric Decker once upon a time. Yeah.
Jason Moore
Well, Hopkins has touchdowns in his last one game. 100% of his last game.
Unknown Speaker
That's true.
Jason Moore
Yeah. I word Smith. Okay. I don't think there's Lamar Miller. You're starting it.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah.
Jason Moore
You're probably starting, but you're doing it like wincing.
Mike Wright
Yeah. It's like you took a big bite of a lemon, but you.
Jason Moore
But you have to start him.
Mike Wright
Yeah. It's still a fruit. Right. There's still vitamin C, there's still nutrients in that lemon.
Jason Moore
It's hard to get down.
Mike Wright
You don't feel good about it. Frank Gore gives you a tummy ache. Frank. Yeah, yeah, same thing.
Unknown Speaker
Frank Gore is, I think a decent play. Houston's run defense hasn't been as great as their defense on a whole has. Certainly not as good as their past defense. We don't know the health of Jadevian Clowney yet, but he missed last game. I think Frank Gore is an. Is an okay play.
Mike Wright
And the Colts before mysteriously shutting down Matt Forte most likely because there was. There was water bet on the line for our league and that just magic happens for those circumstances. But the Colts are just. You're straining your spaghetti since these guys.
Unknown Speaker
Are playing each other and we just talked about Frank Gore. Lamar Miller, you have to start one. Who you starting?
Jason Moore
I'll start.
Unknown Speaker
Who are you starting?
Mike Wright
Mike Miller.
Unknown Speaker
Okay. And on the season so far to this day, who is the higher ranked running back in fantasy football?
Mike Wright
Probably Gore.
Jason Moore
Miller.
Unknown Speaker
It is Gore by one spot.
Jason Moore
All right. I have him back to back in my rankings too. It's really close. That'll be an interesting game. I want to see what Houston has when they go to Indianapolis. The Vikings and Jaguars are the last matchup we're covering before our starts of the week. So stay tuned for those Vikings Jags. I don't. This is a tough game.
Unknown Speaker
The over under is in the 30s. Yeah, 39 points. I mean how. Who's.
Jason Moore
How take the under.
Mike Wright
Well, when they initially released all the lines, it was that the emoji face of the shrug. Yeah, the shrug emoji was the over under.
Unknown Speaker
It turned into the poop emoji.
Jason Moore
Let me say this. I want to believe in Allen Robinson's potential in this game. I want to believe this. This talk of Bortles and Robinson meeting privately and getting on the same page. I want to believe that they're going to force feed Robinson to satiate him to make him happy at the end of the year. I want to believe it and I have no confidence. I don't.
Mike Wright
I don't blame you.
Unknown Speaker
There's been a couple questions where I have sided with Alan Robinson over other options. He is someone that in a pinch you can still start and hope that something breaks his way because there is talent there. But in most situations you're not playing Allen Robinson this week.
Mike Wright
And Harrison Smith, the Vikings state safety, stud safety is likely out for the year. I haven't seen an update saying that things have gotten better. You have to expect them to miss at least this week. So the slight upgrade for the Jags Passing offense. I mean, I still expect Alan Robinson to get a healthy dose of the X man, Xavier Rhodes, and that's. That's not good.
Unknown Speaker
You know her. It looks like Julius Thomas is going to be out.
Jason Moore
Yeah. If I'm taking another pass catcher, it's. It's Marquis Lee for the Jags.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, but you're not.
Jason Moore
I'm not.
Mike Wright
What about running backs in this game?
Jason Moore
Well, look, Mike, you talked a little bit this week about. Yeah, you said it under your breath or you tried to throw your voice somewhere else when you said it, but you. You said that there's some upside for TJ There is game and it's volume.
Mike Wright
Volume combined with the incredible talent. No.
Jason Moore
Okay, just checking.
Mike Wright
Volume combined with a man who is a professional football player.
Jason Moore
Okay, that's solid.
Mike Wright
The Vikings have allowed. They've given up some serious numbers to running backs. And if. If Ivory is out, if shoelace Denard Robinson is out, I mean, TG Alden is going to be the guy. That's what it ended up as last week. And he was okay for fantasy.
Jason Moore
Do you find it interesting that Vegas only has this as a three and a half point line?
Unknown Speaker
Wow, Is that. Yeah, that is interesting. Is this. Must be in Jacksonville.
Jason Moore
It is.
Unknown Speaker
Okay, that makes a little bit more sense.
Mike Wright
No, it doesn't shock me at all.
Jason Moore
Okay. I think it might be. I think it might be a little bit.
Mike Wright
Oh, no.
E
What?
Mike Wright
Come on, man.
Unknown Speaker
No, you're not doing it here. Yeah.
Mike Wright
It's fate that you're pulling a Jeff Fisher over there. You can't find your challenge. No.
Andy Holloway
Andy's almost upset of the week.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Try as you may, what is with Jordi laforge? I can't look.
Unknown Speaker
I can't look at this.
Mike Wright
You and Gus Bradley.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
You can't stop yourself.
Jason Moore
Can't quit you.
Unknown Speaker
So in that case, they have.
Jason Moore
Last week, Jacksonville played within a touchdown of Denver. Now you've got a Minnesota offense. Paxton lynch, you have a Minnesota offense that is terrible. And a defense that's a little more susceptible. And an over under. That means the game's going to be close in Jacksonville. In Jacksonville.
Unknown Speaker
You heard it here first. Start your Allen Robinson's.
Jason Moore
No. That it does not translate to fantasy value. Just because I think the team's going to upset them. It just means that this game is going to be competitive. Here's the how you win fantasy. In this matchup, you have to get lucky and pick the one guy that scores on each team for a passing touchdown.
Unknown Speaker
Sure.
Jason Moore
Because I'm not projecting more than one Passing touchdown for either quarterback, Sammy Biscuits or Blake Bortles.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah. And who that's going to go to?
Mike Wright
You would.
Unknown Speaker
You would guess. If you had to guess who the touchdown goes to on both sides, you'd say Alan Robinson for Jacksonville and Kyle Rudolph. You'd say Kyle Rudolph for. I mean, you. I don't.
Mike Wright
Give me Adam Thielen.
Jason Moore
All right, he's yours. Take him. Take him home. Any other thoughts that you guys have on this matchup in particular? I mean, I know we could talk about Gus and Stefan Diggs.
Unknown Speaker
People probably wonder.
Jason Moore
I think you start him in ppr.
Unknown Speaker
In ppr. Avoid him in standard.
Jason Moore
Yep, yep.
Andy Holloway
Starts of the week.
Jason Moore
Stretching out. It's time to break them out.
Mike Wright
You're starting Gus Bradley as upset coach of the week.
Jason Moore
As in, he'll be the most upset at the end of the game.
Mike Wright
He's going to be upset pretty soon.
Jason Moore
All right, guys, look, it's playoff week. This is serious business, and it's time to get down to brass tacks. We've got our starts of the week at every position.
Mike Wright
Better than Copper Tax.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Brass ones just hold up longer.
Jason Moore
All right, Mike, focus, focus. Who's your quarterback start of the week, Mike?
Mike Wright
My quarterback start of the week, Captain Kirk cousins.
Jason Moore
Is this 2015?
Mike Wright
Nope, it's 2016, my friend. And I want to give people confidence because you look, if you're an espn, you open it up, you see red. Red is dead. When it comes to matchups, you go, oh, crap. My quarterback. Kirk Cousins is taking on Philadelphia 11th against quarterbacks Philly at home. However, the last four games are giving up nearly 300 yards and 1 1/2 touchdowns. Kirk Cousins is playing fantastic football. You have desean Jackson revenge game, revenge game taking on the Eagles and maybe Jordan Reed is back. Even if Reed is not back. Jameson Crowder is playing fantastic football.
Jason Moore
Weapons.
Mike Wright
Kirk Cousins. Kirk Cousins is playing great.
Unknown Speaker
He really is.
Mike Wright
He's playing great. Do not be scared of the Philadelphia defense.
Unknown Speaker
No. He was almost my. My start of the week. It was between him and this other guy. I let you pick. You took Cousins. I think that's great. I. I am fine. And the reason that I'm going with Matthew Stafford this week is because a lot of teams that have him very similar to how you're thinking might think, okay, this is a divisional game. This is against Chicago, who just, you know, shut down Colin Kaepernick, who their defense has been.
Mike Wright
Colin Kaepernick shot himself down.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah. And the snow. He clearly has never been in the cold. This is in A dome.
Jason Moore
You're going Matthew Stafford.
Unknown Speaker
This is in a dome at home. A very meaningful game for the Detroit Lions against a team that they should beat. They have to beat and they will beat. And they're not going to be able to run the ball well because they just haven't been.
Jason Moore
I mean, they just signed Joe Bell. It tells you all you need to know.
Unknown Speaker
Exactly. So I think Matthew Stafford is going to put up two touchdowns, 250.
Jason Moore
And let's.
Unknown Speaker
And his upside is he just better embarrasses him.
Jason Moore
Absolutely. I agree with that and I think it's a good call. I think a lot of our starts right now we're talking about those questions we're getting on Twitter and through the website. It's do I start Stafford or this guy or that guy? And this should help you have some confidence. My guy, same vein confidence. It's Russell Wilson. He's my number two ranked quarterback this week. He's in Green Bay. You have Earl Thomas now out in the secondary. There's susceptibility there for Aaron Rodgers, who I like as well, but not more than Russell. I like Russell the most this week. We know the Green Bay struggles. I'm not worried about weather. I think Russell's been moving very, very well. I like him and I'd start him over. Everybody except for Andrew Luck this week.
Mike Wright
All right.
Jason Moore
I'm going to come right back and give you my running back start of the week. You guys get yours all ready to go. Mine is Mark Ingram against Tampa last week. Ingram had only seven carries, but he did produce 37 yards. Get this, five receptions in limited work last week for 16 yards. Love the reception totals. Love the fact that Tim Hightower only had two carries and one catch. And we know what happened last week. They had to ditch the run completely. This was that matchup where, you know, they basically Drew Brees disappointed everybody despite going to the pass. Mark Ingram, we talked about him in the beginning of the show. He's an RB1 on the season and he is an RB1 potential for this week for me. So I actually have a lot of confidence in Mark Ingram. I'm not worried about the toe being a major issue. He only had one limited practice last week and it came later in the week. He's already had a limited practice this week. So I'm very confident in Mark Ingram and like Mike said, he's the best running back on that team. He's produced better than Hightower lately. Just needs to stay healthy and I like him.
Mike Wright
I love it. I'm Going with a guy who I've got him back in that running back to area and he's been very disappointing for a stretcher and that was Jonathan Stewart and I know that on paper thing. Well, the San Diego run defense, yeah, they're third in the league, but the last three weeks they're giving up around 90 yards and a touchdown to the running back position. The Panthers are at home. I just think that there could finally be some running room here for J. Stu. I expect him to be back in that higher total of carries and I want a running back to who's going to get volume. So I like Jonathan Stewart again this week.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, I think he is a decent playoff matchup for that. That flex type option where a lot of people are going to be saying, do I start him or you know, Jeremy Hill or whoever.
Mike Wright
Well, that would be Jeremy Hill.
Unknown Speaker
I forgot the Cleveland Browns. My start of the week this week is going to be Spencer Ware.
Jason Moore
I love that. If I knew I could, I should have taken that.
Unknown Speaker
Spencer Ware is. Has just been as reliable a running back as you could ask for. And in the last seven games he played, six of them are over double digits in fantasy for half point PPR scoring, which is the format we go by. Three of those games have been over 20 points. He's evolved in the past game. He's involved in the running game. And the Oakland Raiders, they can put up points even in Kansas City. On Kansas City and that just means more touchdowns need to be scored by Kansas City. The nice thing about Spencer Ware being involved in the passing game and the running game is you're not game scripting him out there. Oakland is 25th against.
Jason Moore
I'm going to put you on the spot here because I don't think anybody in their right mind is benching Spencer Ware. So I don't think that's a question. The question is, Jason, are you starting him over? Devontae Freeman, are you starting over? I am starting Jordan Howard.
Unknown Speaker
The reason that I went for the playoffs, I think we need better options. We need higher options. We're not looking for guys you're going to necessarily be playing, you know, off of the waivers. You know, when it comes to Spencer Ware, for me, there's very few people I would start over him. He's my sixth ranked running back this week. I have him ranked ahead of. Yeah, Devonta Freeman and Matt Forte. Jeremy Hill we just talked about. Wow. I love where I do. I like where a lot this week. That's why he's my start.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I'm Ranked the same. I have him ranked 6. Love him.
Unknown Speaker
There you go.
Jason Moore
All right, wide receivers.
Unknown Speaker
I'll go with my wide receiver because I love it. He's my guy last year. He's a late season hero.
Jason Moore
He is amazing late bloomer like you.
Unknown Speaker
And he is the one, only the Doug Baldwin. Doug Baldwin has a juicy matchup this week. Green Bay has just been as terrible a defense and as good an offense as you can hope for for a guy like Doug Baldwin to find his way. Here's a great stat from our good friend Scott Barrett over on Twitter. Over the last 19 regular season games, you've got Russell Wilson as your number two quarterback.
Jason Moore
Sure do.
Unknown Speaker
Over Russell Wilson's last 19 regular season games. He has a 152.2 passer rating when targeting Doug Baldwin. Perfect Passer rating is 158.3 against Green.
Mike Wright
Bay, of course, 158.3. Very logical, right?
Unknown Speaker
Makes sense against Green Bay in a game that they're going to be able to throw. Doug Baldwin is going to get in the end zone. I've got him as a locked and loaded wide receiver. One really like Doug Baldwin this week.
Jason Moore
My wide receiver start of the week may shock you. I know it's little dangerous, it's a little hot. It's a little dangerous.
Mike Wright
You're going barefoot on the coals. My friend.
Jason Moore
Sammy Watkins. Sammy Watkins, I have him at wide receiver 15 this week. I think he is startable. He went from 25 snaps to 49 snaps last week. So he doubled his participation on the field. He is fixing chemistry issues with Tyrod Taylor and we've talked about this matchup between the Bills and the Steelers in their offense. I know it's hot, I know it's a hot take. But this is what I'm saying. If you need to start a solid and startable wide receiver too with a potential surprise. Sammy Watkins, he's my start of the week.
Unknown Speaker
He certainly has the potential, the talent, you know, to take a long deep ball 80 yards for a touchdown and have a great week. I've got him ranked 28 this week. I still worry a little bit about the weather.
Jason Moore
Don't blame you at all.
Mike Wright
All right. My guy is. I gotta have a contingency here as apparently my man Trevor Simeon is still looking not locked and loaded as I felt he should be. But this is a if Trevor Simeon is the quarterback. Emmanuel Sanders. I love it. I'm running the combo here. Jason stream of the week is Trevor Simeon. Tennessee is giving up over 40 fantasy points per game. To wide receivers the last five games. There's massive production available for the wide receiver position and we know that Trevor Simeon can make things happen with Sanders. Sanders is a spectacular wide receiver. I think he has the speed and just and the perfect skill set to exploit the Tennessee Titans secondary. I'll just flip it over to my tight end.
Jason Moore
Do it.
Mike Wright
Cameron Brait highest over under the week. I want a piece of that action. Maybe you don't have slice of Brait maybe. Maybe you don't have Jameis Winston. Might as well have Jameis Winston's number two option and that is Cameron Brait who you like him to get that 40 to 60 yards which is solid for most tight ends. But then you, you have a larger than usual probability of scoring a touchdown against New Orleans. I like camera Brait.
Jason Moore
Jason tight end start.
Unknown Speaker
My tight end start of the week again. I'm going a little higher up to a guy that I think is going to have a monster game. Most people probably starting him despite the fact that he only had two receptions last week. That is Tyler Eiford the number one red zone target for Andy Dalton against the 30th ranked Cleveland Brown against tight ends. Tyler Eiferna in standard scoring is my number one tight end of the week.
Mike Wright
Oh my.
Unknown Speaker
So I would start him over all. If you're playing against Tyler Eifert, I think you need to prepare for, you know, that kind of two touchdown game type of potential. And so Tyler Eifert to me is a guy that he is 100% started and he's going to have a monster game.
Jason Moore
My tight end start of the week has more hundred yard games than Cameron Brait does because Braid has none. And I like a guy who has the potential to give you a monster playoff week and who also makes me feel like he has now established himself with a safe floor. And that's Ladarius Green. He's my number four ranked tight end this week. I have my spot ahead of Cameron Brait. Last week we saw the potential of Ladarius Green. Not the guarantee but the potential. But it was over 100 yards. It was a touchdown. It was a big integral piece of the Pittsburgh offense. I just feel like the targets are going to be there and you and that potential is playoff winning potential. So for me, only ifrt Graham and Kelsey I have ranked higher than the Darius Green. So those are our starts of the week.
Mike Wright
Phew.
Jason Moore
You guys ready for this week?
Mike Wright
Like I said, I got the bubble guts already.
Jason Moore
All of these starts will be on the website but let's get to the most important part of the week.
Andy Holloway
Jason Moore's ironclad locked and loaded 100 guaranteed boom, boom kicker of the week.
Jason Moore
Man, nobody knows kids kickers like this guy.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah, excellent.
Jason Moore
Continue, continue your analysis.
Unknown Speaker
Look, as I look this week, there's a lot of names that I think will have great games. There's boom guys, there's some boom guys. Matt Bryant's a boom guy. Dan Bailey is a boom guy. You know, Adam Bennett, Harry is a boom guy. These are good kickers. They're booms.
Jason Moore
Yeah, they're booms.
Unknown Speaker
You know what? They're not, not a boom boom. And I'm going for the first time, surprisingly the first time this year that I'm picking him. I'm doing it against a very difficult matchup. I think the first, the third best defense against kickers is the New England Patriots. And I'm saying, Justin Tucker, you kick that 70 yard field goal, you do it, you go and you boom boom. Because Joe Flacco is healthy, we forget that he had super late knee surgery. He has not been healthy at the very beginning of the year. He's healthy, he's going to be able to move the ball enough to get in range. Just enough, just enough to get in range.
Mike Wright
All he wants to do is room a zoom, zoom in.
Unknown Speaker
A boom, boom, boom.
Jason Moore
Justin Tucker, your official ironclad, locked and loaded, 100% guaranteed boom boom kicker of the week.
Andy Holloway
There you go.
Mike Wright
That's bold.
Jason Moore
All right, I'm going to jump into a couple questions.
Andy Holloway
Mailbag, mailbag.
Jason Moore
All right, remember, if you got a question, go to the website the fantasy footballers.com, click the questions button or dial our voicemail hotline. 302464, TFFB. We're gonna do a couple voicemail questions to end the show today from the listeners. So let's jump into one right now.
E
Hey, guys, Tim from Connecticut. Love the show. I have a question about tight end. I have Tyler Eiford and I have Jimmy Graham. I'm constantly debating who to start between those. Another option is I could flex one of them, put one of them flex over Devontae Booker. What should I do?
Jason Moore
Thanks. What do you guys think?
Unknown Speaker
See, this is, this is why, you know those hard. Some people might not know whether to start Tyler Iford or not. That being said, my number two ranked is Jimmy Graham and they flip for me in scoring format. If you're in any kind of half point or full point ppr, Jimmy Graham will absolutely have more targets and probably more yards than Tyler Ifer. So I lean Jimmy Graham.
Jason Moore
Graham's my number one.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah. Even over my Tyler ifr. If you're in a standard league where touchdowns rain supreme, I feel like if it is guaranteed the touchdown. So I would go ifer.
Jason Moore
Do you start either of them over Booker in the flex?
Unknown Speaker
If it's a ppr, I start. I think I start Jimmy Graham over Booker in the flex.
Mike Wright
Oh, I'd man, I don't. I don't blame you. It's. Why. Why are they not throwing devonte Booker the ball? He's a spectacular pass catching running back. That was one of his. His strengths strengths coming out of college was he's a great pass catcher. Throwing the ball. It's ridiculous.
Jason Moore
Yeah. The offense has been disjointed without Simeon and some of the tumult.
Mike Wright
So in a pirate running.
Jason Moore
All right, here's another voicemail question.
E
Hey guys, love the show. You make my drive home 10 times better every day. Quick question. Carr against Kansas City when you put up a sinker last time in cold weather or Big Ben at Buffalo and taking a chance on away Big Ben twist is that Cooper is getting played against me in this matchup. So playing car could potentially cap the damage. Thanks again for all the help. Love you guys.
Jason Moore
Love you too, buddy.
Mike Wright
It's Big Ben for me. Easy, easy peasy.
Jason Moore
Big Ben on the road. Huh?
Mike Wright
Big Ben on the road or Derek Carr on the road in Arrowhead, the place where they literally broke the Guinness world record for loudest stadium.
Unknown Speaker
I agree.
Jason Moore
But the track I've Big Ben one spot higher. One spot higher.
Unknown Speaker
In standard I have Big Ben two spots higher. But I Big Ben my the two spots higher that spot 13. I feel like in the playoffs you got to do better than a quarterback. 2.
Jason Moore
The thing is is if you have to debate the merits of they're both on the road and they both have a quote unquote tough situation. You know, Buffalo is not really in hunt, you know, whereas Kansas City is a legit upper tier type of team. I still think there's upside for Carr, but I'd go Big Ben.
Unknown Speaker
Yeah. I mean I would look for a Jameis Winston or Kirk Cousins or Philip Rivers if for any reason they're out there. Otherwise they're.
Mike Wright
They're not. You got to make this decision.
Unknown Speaker
Jason, last the listeners the best.
Jason Moore
Final question, very important. Richard in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Why does Jason hate Chandler Canton Zara so much?
Unknown Speaker
Someone finally noticed.
Jason Moore
What did they notice, Jason?
Unknown Speaker
They noticed that no matter what. And this is full disclosure on my rankings. Chandler Canton Zara will always be kicker number 32 unless there's a bye week, in which case maybe 30 or 28 depending on how many teams are on by. But he will always be my last right kicker because he sucks and I hate him. As a Cardinals fan he has ruined our bitter.
Mike Wright
Bitter.
Unknown Speaker
That's the only look. I'm going to sneak it in at kickers. My bias doesn't come in anywhere else.
Jason Moore
No that's that's one locked and loaded.
Unknown Speaker
I don't even want kickers.
Jason Moore
Doom Kicker of the I don't want.
Unknown Speaker
Kickers in fantasy football so I don't care if I give you bad advice on Chandler Canton.
