Jason Moore
The Christmas movie is what?
Mike Wright
Oh, we getting into this?
Jason Moore
No, we're not getting into it. I'm just asking the question.
Mike Wright
Well, when you ask me that question, that means we're getting into it.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I know what you're gonna say.
Andy Holloway
Well, yeah, that, that's dumb.
Jason Moore
However, I. Go ahead.
Andy Holloway
It's a. It's a two way tie, but I'll. Tie break. One A is Elf.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Andy Holloway
Elvis. Great.
Mike Wright
Your one B better be.
Andy Holloway
No, it's not. It's.
Mike Wright
No, no, no. I know you're not gonna go with Die Hard.
Andy Holloway
That's.
Mike Wright
Cause that's what I'm not going to get into. Which is the best Christmas movie. But if you don't consider that a best Christmas movie, I have a backup.
Andy Holloway
Okay, well, my 1B would be the Santa Clause.
Jason Moore
Oh. With Tim Allen.
Andy Holloway
Allen.
Mike Wright
Classic.
Jason Moore
I need to give. We have a college group of students that we. That we have a group with every week. My wife and I and I need to give them some options for a movie tonight. It's our Christmas party. So do I give them Die Hard as an option for me? Yeah.
Mike Wright
Christmas is not complete until I've watched Die Hard. However, I. I don't want to blow up Twitter with this argument. This argument is. Is old. It's old. Busted.
Jason Moore
You're the only one bringing it up now. You're the only one.
Andy Holloway
You arguing with Andy.
Mike Wright
No, no, no. The man of Twitter knows what's. What's going on. But 1A, I completely agree. It's elf. 1B is the Jim Carrey Grinch.
Andy Holloway
Very good.
Jason Moore
It is. All right. I have some options. Thank you. Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers podcast. Today we have fantasy forecast going through the first half of the matchups for Week 15. Starts of the week Jason's Boom Boom kicker. It's gonna be a really good show. We're gonna get you ready for week 15. I am excited. I am ready to unveil these starts of the week.
Mike Wright
You know who's ready?
Jason Moore
I don't.
Mike Wright
Speaking of Twitter, almost every single question now comes in, okay, who do I start? I cannot sleep. Who do I start? I have diarrhea. Who do I start? I. My eyes are gonna blow out of my face.
Jason Moore
People that distribute psychiatric appointments are going up this time of year.
Mike Wright
Yes. Directly related to fantasy football decisions.
Jason Moore
You illustrated a very interesting fact yesterday, and that is the wrong thing to say. You didn't illustrate it. You didn't draw it on a piece of paper. You said you brought up the fact that championship eliminated. You brought up that championship weekend in.
Mike Wright
Oh, yeah.
Jason Moore
On Christmas Day.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Thanks, NFL.
Jason Moore
Merry Christmas.
Andy Holloway
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are going to be the two days that make it the best or worst Christmas ever. Because that's when most championship games are being dealt with. That's garbage.
Mike Wright
Mean, a full tilt on Christmas night for losing a fantasy championship.
Andy Holloway
I guess all I want for Christmas is a hashtag. Yeah, it is.
Jason Moore
Well, I'm, you know, just don't lose. It's great Christmas if you don't lose. All right, quick question of the day before we get into the news and notes, fantasy football information for you. We're playing a game of who am I? Except we're not. Oh, we're playing a game of who are we?
Mike Wright
Wait a minute.
Jason Moore
Because there are two people that are included in this one.
Andy Holloway
Are they Freeman and Tevin Coleman?
Mike Wright
Is this. Is this a fight Club situation?
Jason Moore
Just follow along.
Andy Holloway
All right?
Jason Moore
Just play along. Clue number one. Where wide receivers. 14 and 15 in half point scoring.
Mike Wright
Okay. All right.
Jason Moore
Clue number two. We play on the same team.
Andy Holloway
Crabtree and Cooper.
Jason Moore
Wrong.
Mike Wright
No.
Jason Moore
I don't get a guess now.
Mike Wright
I already had a guess after clue one, but because I know how to play a game.
Jason Moore
Right.
Mike Wright
And he blew his guess.
Jason Moore
You're saving it.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Let's unveil some more clues.
Andy Holloway
No.
Jason Moore
Clue number three. We're the exact same age.
Mike Wright
Okay, that makes me feel less confident.
Andy Holloway
See, I blurted out and now I know. It's not my fault. I didn't even get all the clues.
Jason Moore
Clue number four. We are both 23.
Mike Wright
Okay, I'm very wrong.
Jason Moore
Years old.
Mike Wright
Very, very wrong.
Jason Moore
So what was your original guess?
Mike Wright
Jamaris and Emmanuel.
Jason Moore
Oh, okay, you're wrong.
Mike Wright
I thought you were gonna go Christmasy with emmanuel.
Jason Moore
Same team, 14, 15, 23 years old. Both of them. Wait, what do you have another gas? Jason, our team's wide receiver three was on the show.
Mike Wright
Oh, okay. Okay. I got it now. I got it.
Jason Moore
Jason is that's a no no.
Andy Holloway
The Saints.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Good friend of the show. Michael Thomas.
Jason Moore
Michael Thomas and Brandon Cook.
Andy Holloway
There we go.
Jason Moore
What do you think about that? Both 23 years old, wide receiver, 14 and 15 and a half point leagues, man.
Andy Holloway
Honestly, I would have gone there but I'm surprised. Michael Thomas is an old rookie.
Jason Moore
Yeah. And Cooks is a young third year receiver.
Mike Wright
Wow. Yeah. That's impressive. So a couple of output.
Jason Moore
It'll be interesting to see how the Saints wide receiver corps pans out over the next few years. If you have snead there, it'll be interesting.
Mike Wright
Who's going to go marching marching on. Yeah.
Jason Moore
You can follow the show on Twitter at the F F ballers. You can follow Jason's Christmas shenanigans@jointhefoot.com oh man, we were dying as he dressed up as Santa Claus yesterday. And he will be doing so each of the next 12 Days of Foot clan@jointhefoot.com giving away some free gifts. It's a safe thank you.
Andy Holloway
Christmas season we get back.
Jason Moore
We do. And let's give back some information here. News and notes.
Andy Holloway
News and notes from around the league.
Jason Moore
You know who seems to give and never get? It's Todd Bowles. He just gives and gives and nobody gives. He doesn't get anything back from his players.
Mike Wright
Well, he gives a lot of, you know, stagnant facial reactions.
Jason Moore
I saw him cursing on the sideline. Just like a real coach.
Mike Wright
What? Like just a very straight faced.
Jason Moore
Yeah, sure. We're not all the same, Mike.
Mike Wright
No, we're not. But I want to see a little bit.
Jason Moore
For instance, we decided that when solicitors come to our new studio, if we're interested in their product, Jason will be getting me and if we are not interested, they'll be getting you because you.
Andy Holloway
Have a resting angry face, Mike. And they'll, they'll go, I need, I.
Jason Moore
Wonder if when you walk out of the office to meet them, they'll just preempt you. They'll just preempt you and say, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
Andy Holloway
Oh, is this sweet one? Oh, I got the wrong sweet.
Jason Moore
I didn't know that you were so angry.
Mike Wright
Well, the resting angry face, when you engage regular angry face is a whole new level.
Jason Moore
Todd Bowles said Matt Forte will likely be a game time decision in week number 15 because it came out there.
Mike Wright
Was an MRI that says Matt Forte has a torn meniscus. Apparently he's been playing through it for a while. A team that's going absolutely nowhere. A running back that is on the wrong side of the age gap.
Andy Holloway
What? Why? What are you playing? Why?
Mike Wright
Even if Matt Forte wants to play, if I'm the gm, if I'm Todd Bowles, I say no.
Andy Holloway
I don't think he's been playing through the tournamentiscus. I think that happened in the San Francisco game. He's been playing through certain knee issues. So the tournament meniscus is new. And what he said is that he understands he's probably going to have to get surgery on it.
Mike Wright
It's. He's going to have.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. But that it's okay to play right now. That seems like something where you can call it.
Jason Moore
So you won't do it worse. You won't do it any more damage.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
There's other things that can go wrong, though.
Andy Holloway
I expect that he will. I am starting to lean more and more that he will not play this week.
Jason Moore
So, blah, blah.
Andy Holloway
Yes. So blah, blah, blah.
Jason Moore
Oh, Chargers coach Mike McCoy said it's highly unlikely Melvin Gordon plays on Sunday. I agree with him.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
I don't see why you would risk your franchise running back when you've got.
Mike Wright
This is a similar situation. I mean, it's a younger, younger guy, but in. Gordon says he's going to try and play next week.
Jason Moore
All right. Adrian Peterson practicing all day.
Mike Wright
Yeah, all day.
Andy Holloway
What's his nickname?
Jason Moore
All day. You can talk about him all day.
Andy Holloway
I will leave him on the waiver. All day.
Jason Moore
All day.
Andy Holloway
I'm not going to pick him up. They're a different offense. They're running out of the shotgun now. That's not what Adrian Peterson's used to. They have a terrible offensive line.
Mike Wright
He says he's good with it now.
Andy Holloway
He got really good by just watching it.
Mike Wright
Mental reps, man. Mental reps. Yeah.
Andy Holloway
For me.
Jason Moore
You don't do enough of those for this show, Mike. Mental reps.
Mike Wright
I should.
Jason Moore
James Starks did not practice due to a concussion. Might explain why you only played seven snaps.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Might also give you some confidence in time. Montgomery.
Mike Wright
Yep. Montgomery, who is listed on the unofficial depth chart, was listed as the number two running back, but he's the number one in my.
Jason Moore
Well, the official number one is Starks, right?
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
That's just to be nice. Zach Zimmer is in the concussion protocol.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
So there you go. I still think you can do worse if Riddick. If Riddick misses another game, you can do worse. Than Dwayne Washington.
Mike Wright
Of course you could. Volume. Volume is king.
Jason Moore
Cardinals waved, slash, fired because that's our term now. Michael Floyd. Michael Floyd's gone.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
He was going to be a free agent. I don't think this happens necessarily if he contract, obviously.
Mike Wright
No.
Jason Moore
And he's been just like, hey, go get a head start on the offseason.
Andy Holloway
He's been playing poor. It can send a message. I think it's for fantasy football. I think it's great news because right now you couldn't really play Michael Floyd anyways. You got a lot. But now with him gone, it kind of bumps up. Gives you a little bit of. I think J.J. nelson is a startable player this week.
Jason Moore
I do too.
Andy Holloway
You've got the New Orleans Saints coming to town. Obviously their main cornerback is probably going to be shadowing Fitz. I mean, you're not going to put all your worry against J.J. nelson.
Mike Wright
And I'm not sure that they'll shadow.
Andy Holloway
But true, they probably won't. I don't think bro is going to. Is bro.
Jason Moore
Let me ask you a question. J.J. nelson against New Orleans at home or Tyree Kill against Tennessee at home.
Andy Holloway
Ooh, I'm going to on that. I'm going to take Tyreek. But the fact here's the catches for.
Jason Moore
J.J. nelson the last five weeks. Yeah, two, one, two, one one.
Andy Holloway
Exactly. He's very similar to two touchdowns. Right. But I do think that with the speed, the talent, the offense and the defense coming in with Michael Floyd out of the way also, Jermaine Gresham gets a bump up.
Jason Moore
He's been very AJ Green return to practice. Adam Humphries is practicing.
Andy Holloway
Oh.
Jason Moore
Muhammad Sanu return to practice could affect the Gabriel targets if there's no Julio.
Mike Wright
Gabriel still didn't get a. He didn't get an overwhelming volume. I mean, he's.
Andy Holloway
Gabriel is.
Mike Wright
Gabriel is Tyreek Hill. They're the same guy. If they don't get the big play, you're going to get four fantasy points.
Andy Holloway
I almost made Julio my start of the week. He's going to play and he's going to be good.
Jason Moore
Okay. So asking for a friend. I've got Watkins, Crabtree and Tyreek Hill. Who do you bench for Julio, if you're that confident? Because I have Julio on my bench.
Andy Holloway
Oh, I bench Tyree Kill. That would be.
Mike Wright
I would as well.
Andy Holloway
That's what I would do for your friend.
Jason Moore
Let me just go ahead and save that for my friend. Guys, not practicing.
Mike Wright
You should not share account information. That's dangerous.
Jason Moore
Right.
Mike Wright
Be safe.
Jason Moore
Be Safe guys not practicing that. We'll talk through tomorrow. So these are in or out guys? We do that on Friday. Give you the last rundown. Julio's one of them. Andrew, Luck, Moncrief, Watkins, Matthews, Ingram. We'll give you updates on all these guys. Which guys we think will play, which won't. Couple concussion guys like Sprouls and Fedorowicz.
Mike Wright
The Sprouls concussion and Wendell small one on ir. Doug Peterson will have no choice but.
Jason Moore
To give the ball to Ryan Matthews.
Mike Wright
Kenya Barner, so many snaps.
Jason Moore
No, no. Once again we talk about Philly. Nobody knows what you're talking about. Ryan Matthews, the foot Glad is an actual.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
Potential start this week.
Mike Wright
I agree.
Jason Moore
All right. We need to move on. We need to get into the fantasy forecast. I just can't take it anymore. I need it. I need it.
Andy Holloway
Fantasy forecast.
Jason Moore
Guys. Where does Gus Brad sign this off season? Is he a sleeper coach in your opinion? Sleeper.
Andy Holloway
I think he will sign as an assistant coach somewhere.
Jason Moore
So you draft him in your fantasy draft?
Andy Holloway
If I position for coordinators, sure.
Jason Moore
Rams. Here's some updates for Thursday night's game. Rams and Seahawks.
Mike Wright
Can we get a team that's just like all the all stars, you know, Fisher, Gus, pretty much every coach that you love.
Jason Moore
Andy, you remember yesterday we talked about the kickers that just hang out at the house.
Mike Wright
Oh, which was named.
Jason Moore
Well, we got an email in and they wanted to name it the Boom.
Mike Wright
The Boom Boom Room.
Jason Moore
Yes, Boom Boom Room. These kickers, they just hang out and they wait for their careers to end or to be signed. Either one. Boom Boom Room.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, they have all these shows with like rookies hoping to get signed. Why not give some love to the veterans.
Jason Moore
They need a kicking simulator like the golf simulators. Oh, that would be sweet. Where you set it up and then you kick into the screen and then you see it go through the uprights. Or not.
Mike Wright
Patent pending, America.
Jason Moore
Patent pending. Benny Cunningham's out for Thursday night's game, so expect Gurley to get more targets.
Mike Wright
His targets have gone way up since the Rams figured out that the best player on the offense should touch the ball more.
Jason Moore
Kenny Brett, you're talking about girly.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
So it's a moot point. It's the Seattle Seahawks.
Jason Moore
Here's a reminder. Here's a reminder. There are a lot of weather impacted games again this week. You know Marcus Mariota is going to be playing in 19 degree weather and arrowhead coldest game he's ever played in. That's why I pumped the brakes on him. But all the weather conditions we update you will update you as we go through the matchups today. But they will also be in an article that comes out on Sunday morning on the fantasy footballers.com by Eric Ludwig. He puts this up. It is invaluable. It is awesome to see the very, very recent news because you will have a situation like last week where they finally kind of said, okay, the Green Bay game, the snow's kind of going to be done by the time the game's going, so maybe it doesn't impact it as much. You don't want to go out there and bench a Tyrod Taylor if the weather doesn't look as bad. You don't want to go out there and make those kind of decisions just on fear. You want to know the truth, right?
Andy Holloway
And when it comes to weather, you can't put that out early. You can't put that out on Thursdays with any kind of confidence and say, this is what it's going to be like on Sunday. You've got to get it.
Jason Moore
Unless you're wearing a suit. If you wear a suit, you can do that.
Andy Holloway
Well, sure. They get it wrong a whole lot more than fantasy analysts, though.
Jason Moore
Dolphins take on the Jets Saturday night. Yeah, this game is a Saturday night game is a 37 and a half point over under. And I don't really blame Vegas for that. You've got Bryce Petty and Matt Moore. I take the under.
Mike Wright
Maybe Matt Moore at Moore can have some boom, boom games.
Andy Holloway
I think this could hit the over if it's done so by pick sixes. For fantasy purposes only, the defenses are really the ones that are going to be putting up points.
Jason Moore
The Dolphins are in playoff contention. The jets don't have much to play for. We might not see Forte. You've got Bryce Petty throwing the ball to Brandon Marshall, to Robbie Anderson, to Queen, Quincy and Nunois. I mean, it's crazy, but Robbie Anderson is the only guy you can think.
Andy Holloway
About starting from the, from the Jets.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Oh, yeah.
Mike Wright
Well, but Brown, Powell.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I meant in the wide receiver.
Mike Wright
You're just referring to Marshall. You're not playing him.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Or a Nunois.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Yeah, it's weird. It's. It's a weird world that we live in. But I agree that I'm not starting Marshall or Nunois.
Jason Moore
Does Bilal Powell bring people into the championship this week because he's facing this 30th ranked run defer to the Dolphins?
Andy Holloway
Yes, I think Bilal Powell and Jay Ajay, the running games are both games that I like in this matchup. You have, you know, the low over, under. What that usually says is that neither team is going to pull out to a huge lead. Right. You're going to have two teams that are able to run the ball. Both teams have quarterbacks you can't trust. You're not going to be able to center your offense around them. So you're going to have running back and forth and you've gotten both directions. Defenses that are giving it up to running backs. I mean, the jets run D was so good the first half of the year. I mean it wasn't until week six into the season where they had given up more than 100 yards. But you know, we keep talking about the fact that they just seem like they've gone home.
Mike Wright
The jets defense, defense is hard.
Andy Holloway
Well.
Mike Wright
And when you don't want to do it.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, when you don't want to do it.
Jason Moore
See Buffalo Bills last week, the last.
Andy Holloway
Five weeks and this matters, right? Recency matters for trends. And the jets run defense over the last five weeks, only one week they haven't given up more than 100 yards on the ground and that week was 91. Last week they gave up 225 yards on the ground.
Jason Moore
It's interesting. So let's flip to the other side. What are the storylines here?
Mike Wright
Well, does Landry get the same target volume now that Matt Moore is the quarterback? We know Ryan Tannehill generally likes to pep run with targets. We've had kind of a lull mid season for him and the health of Devonte Parker. Kenny still is a deep threat. I, I know you guys aren't with me, but I don't hate Matt Moore. This week against the jets secondary, I don't hate it.
Jason Moore
Well, but you wouldn't play him if.
Mike Wright
You'Re in a two quarterback league and things are looking dicey and you're like, well, I can go with Matt Moore, I guess.
Jason Moore
Matt Moore has played four games with Jarvis Landry in his career and Matt.
Mike Wright
Moore has several games of three touchdowns. I mean, yeah, it's not so who's it?
Jason Moore
But I mean on the wide receiver wise, you say you don't hate Matt Moore, so who benefits? Is it Parker? Is it Landry? Is it Stills? What do you do with your confidence level starting wide receivers? You said the jets secondary is not good.
Mike Wright
I would.
Jason Moore
They've only had. They only have six interceptions compared to 23 touchdown passes allowed.
Mike Wright
I would still start Landry with confidence and Stills is a fine flex play or wide receiver.
Andy Holloway
3 Man, I, I would start Landry. I can't I can't do it. I would not start Jarvis Landry. I think when I look at this, you know, Jarvis Landry has benefited from a lot of target volume and you don't know necessarily that it's going to go his way. But if it does go his way, the his type of targets are usually those in sync short. You know, it's like you've got to have a rapport. And yeah, maybe He's Backstreet Boys, four games with him in his career.
Mike Wright
But 98 degrees, I just don't see.
Andy Holloway
I don't see Jarvis Landry going. I don't see. I don't see him going up from here. I don't start any wide receiver. That's not to say that there's not going to be a wide receiver that benefits because this jet second, if Kenny Stills grabs a bomb, I'm not going to be shocked.
Jason Moore
Why is he grabbing a bomb?
Andy Holloway
Because that's what he do. I'm just saying if he grabs one, if he grabs a deep pass, sure.
Jason Moore
I'm not being very nice right now.
Andy Holloway
I don't, I don't like the last.
Jason Moore
You don't like the wide receivers.
Andy Holloway
The wide receivers.
Jason Moore
That's what I got that. I got that. You do not like the wide receivers. You do not like confidence. Having putting your confidence in Matt Moore in this game, in your playoffs.
Andy Holloway
Correct.
Jason Moore
J A Jai, though, would you put your confidence in jj?
Andy Holloway
I would personally. I just talked about the jets run defense kind of phoning it in lately and they're going to need a jai pounce. He's gone in order to do anything. It does. It does hurt. I'm not saying a Jay is going to be, you know, the number one or a top five guy, but I do have him ranked as an RB1 this week.
Jason Moore
Well, and we should take your word for it. I mean, you may not put your words in the right order, but listen to this. Jason finished further ahead of every other fantasy expert this week than any other expert has done all year long. In fact, it looks like you are the first person to finish in the top 10 in all four categories. Quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends.
Andy Holloway
You said it, not me.
Jason Moore
I just giving you credit.
Andy Holloway
I appreciate that.
Mike Wright
Thanks.
Jason Moore
Before we get down to what's our next game, we're talking Eagles. Ravens.
Mike Wright
Eagles. Ravens.
Jason Moore
Before we do that, I do want to thank today's sponsor, Blue Apron. Look, my experience with Blue Apron has been nothing short of spectacular. It's fresh food, the ingredients, how it tastes. Cook and we want to thank Pristine Auction. The best memorabilia site anywhere in the land.
Jason Moore
In all of the land.
Mike Wright
In the land, on the earth, in the kingdom, wherever. The kingdom. Yes. You can get your 100% authentic autographed merchandise. We have jerseys up all over. We talked about the new studio. We have jerseys going up. We have a signed David Johnson canvas. This place is spectacular.
Jason Moore
What we're going to do is we'll share some pictures of the jerseys up in our new studio on Join the Foot.
Mike Wright
And here I just want to give someone a little taste. Maybe you've never been to Pristine Auction where they do daily auctions. They have new stuff every single day. They have a Malcolm Butler signed photo of the interception. Right? Malcolm Butler is blowing it up. You're a Patriots fan. I imagine you're going to want that thing on your wall. They have signed helmets, signed jerseys, just tons of things. It's Christmas time. What is a better gift for someone who is difficult to buy for if they're a sports fan? Get them an autograph jersey of their favorite player.
Jason Moore
Maybe you want to give me a.
Mike Wright
Little something Maybe I will. Maybe I'll get something just for myself.
Jason Moore
Hosts with the most.
Mike Wright
No, just for me.
Andy Holloway
But.
Mike Wright
So head over to pristineauction.com that's P R I S T I N E auction dot com. Make a completely free account, tell them the fantasy footballer sent you and just peruse. I'm telling you, you will find something that you got to have.
Jason Moore
Eagles, Ravens. Ravens are six point favorites at home, 40 and a half point over under. This game will be potentially played in the rain. You've got Winston Flacco facing off. We talked about Ryan Matthews, his particular, his potential for a bell cow type of situation and I don't think he's long for that team. So I don't think they care if they give him a big workload if they have to. If Sprols is out, if it's going to be Matthews and Barner at that point, I'm optimistic that this is Ryan Matthews backfield. I don't know if it matters. I don't know if it really matters for your fantasy team because I don't know what he can do against the number one ranked run defense in Baltimore at home. Obviously Vegas has Baltimore winning this game. They almost have him. A touch point, touch point. A touchdown favorite at six points. So for me you could do worse. You could go low volume. But I don't know if you're going to have high upside with Matthews.
Mike Wright
Are you doing anything with the pass catchers from the Eagles? Because personally we talked about this yesterday. I like Jordan Matthews.
Jason Moore
You do, you do like Jordan Matthews. I don't, I don't like. I think this game is Baltimore's. I think what you've seen with, with Harbaugh and this team losing that game, fighting for this division, they've been such a hit and miss team. Few games on, few games off. I just think they bounce back in this game at home. You got the crowd behind you. So bad performance last week.
Mike Wright
Sounds like the Eagles will be trailing.
Jason Moore
I. Yes, I agree.
Mike Wright
So they got to throw the ball to somebody.
Jason Moore
Well, they. You have to throw it. Yeah, but that doesn't mean he's going to catch it.
Mike Wright
I like Jordan Matthews in this.
Jason Moore
I like Ertz a lot more than Matthews, let's put it that way.
Mike Wright
Yeah, we both like Zach Ertz in this matchup. JD have anything on the pass catchers.
Andy Holloway
I will say this. When I look at the quarterbacks, which obviously affects the pass catchers. I have very little faith in Carson Wentz in this matchup. That look they. Carson Wentz last week where did he go time and time and time and time and time again? Tight end. Tight end.
Mike Wright
Two of them.
Andy Holloway
Who's the best team against tight ends?
Jason Moore
Baltimore.
Andy Holloway
Who's at home? Who needs to win? I just don't like Carson Wentz here, so I don't. I don't really like any of the options. I kind of agree with Andy that I don't love Jordan Matthews. And I kind of agree with, like, I kind of disagree. I'm not in love with Ertz. Ertz is still a tight end. 1. He's just so integral that I. I.
Jason Moore
Don'T think he believe he's number one in tight end targets this week. Nine, right.
Andy Holloway
Exactly. I'm not. I'm not killing Ertz. He's just too important to this offense. But it's such a bad matchup for him that, you know, I agree. I think this is the Ravens game that bodes well for the Kenneth Dixon, Terrence west combo.
Jason Moore
And I'd play Dixon over west by a lot.
Mike Wright
What if I told you that the Baltimore Ravens are tied for giving up the most touchdowns to wide receivers?
Jason Moore
I would believe you because you're looking at your laptop screen.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
Okay.
Mike Wright
Just. You can beat them. You can't beat them.
Jason Moore
Look at PPR league. I'm okay if you want to start Matthews.
Mike Wright
All right?
Jason Moore
I'm okay. Like, where do you have him? You say you want to start him, but you don't have him as a one.
Mike Wright
Let me. I'll pull him up.
Jason Moore
I'm guessing you have him as a 2. In a standard league.
Mike Wright
That's. That's where I would assume that he has fallen. Jordan Matthews is why my search function is not. Look, you move on. I'll tell you where I have him, all right?
Jason Moore
The other side of the ball. Steve Smith, senior Mike Wallace, Prashard Perryman. The wide receiver corps in Baltimore. I would play Smith. I feel like Smith has the best baseline. He still has the upside. We didn't see good things from really anybody on that wide receiver core last week, including Dennis Pitta. So is this a bounce back game for Pittam? Jason?
Andy Holloway
You know, it can be. All right. I mean, honestly, Philly has a pretty good defense against tight ends as well.
Jason Moore
I don't hear excitement for either side of the ball in this game.
Andy Holloway
No. I like Kenneth Dixon. I like. I like Kenneth Dixon. I like Steve Smith. Senor. I worry that because this is a game where they're not going to. Where the expectation, I should say, is that the Eagles aren't going to be or I'M sorry, the Baltimore is not going to be trailing then maybe it goes more towards Terrence west than Kenneth Dixon. But I'm still. If I've, if I've got to start one of those. Kenneth Dixon took over last week. I am going with that narrative that Kenneth Dixon has kind of secured the role because he is better. He's better running, he's better catching.
Jason Moore
So I think basically what we've seen with Baltimore's offense is if you're a wide receiver, Smith, Wallace, Perryman, you need to score to be really fantasy important because Flacco is only averaging 10 yards per completion. And so you have a lot of these stat lines with four or five catches for Smith, but the yardage hasn't been there as a whole. And so that's the concern for me is can they get into the end zone? But we need to move on. We need to talk about the Browns and the Bills.
Mike Wright
I have them as a lower end too.
Jason Moore
I saw that. You're right outside of the right in the 2 low into which league? 3 range.
Mike Wright
It's a start.
Jason Moore
It's a start.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Well, if it's a wide receiver too, he's.
Jason Moore
He starts Browns, Bills, Bills at home. Bills are 10 point favorites, 41 point over under.
Andy Holloway
Do the Browns.
Jason Moore
No, they don't win a game this year. No, no, they don't.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, that's true.
Jason Moore
I mean, I guess if you're gonna, Rex will give you a shot, but I don't think it happens here. People are very, very concerned about the weather and tyrant Taylor in this game. There are a lot of people who have sent me DM's Twitter messages saying I'm really worried. Give me somebody that's gonna throw the ball because he's that word. You're not gonna have to throw it. I mean, I have the Sean McCoy as my number two running back this week. Yeah, it's going to be the McCoy show.
Mike Wright
That's the real analysis from this game for me is start LaShawn McCoy and I mean Sammy Watkins is still a fine play.
Jason Moore
I like Watkins too, but I think. What is that? I mean, Watkins can have a great game and Taylor can be a stink epotamus.
Mike Wright
Yes. Yeah, that's. That's true. I mean if, if Watkins ends up with, you know, 75 and a touchdown, it's a good game for a wide receiver, but that's not really helping out the quarterback too much. If the weather starts to turn for me, then Watkins will come down.
Andy Holloway
I think the weather is going to be better than it was last week. Obviously Buffalo is used to playing in cold weather. As of right now, it's just said to be partly cloudy, 28 degrees. So it's cold. But as of this second, the expectation is not for snow, which I think says that the offense will be fine. I'm not super worried. I agree with you, Andy, that LaShawn McCoy is just a great play. I don't know if he's my number two or number three running back this week, but he's. He's high up there. I see great things for him. And Sammy Watkins was almost my start of the week. Tyrod Taylor is my stream of the week. When you're playing against the Browns, you think the Browns are going to be good in cold weather.
Jason Moore
I mean, Listen to this. LaShawn McCoy since 2015 at home, 5.3 yards per carry.
Mike Wright
Good grief.
Jason Moore
Cleveland on the road gives up 5.1 yards per carry, which is dead last in the league. Kaching, that's what you call a match made in Shady's.
Mike Wright
The chalk, the Browns, they're not a good football team. Is there any fantasy value on here? Crowell has been decent lately. Prior was having a big year until Robert Griffin took over the job last week.
Jason Moore
I'm not touching Prior. And I told you that on Monday when we talked about the pooped in their pants segment with RG3 at quarterback. I'm not touching Prior. It was the fear when RG3 took the job back. I'm not touching him. I. The only guy I'm thinking about is Crowell. I have him ranked actually number 20 this week. As a start, you guys have him at 24 and 25. So those are all, you know, you got to put those in line with. Okay. Would you rather play Crowell at Buffalo or would you rather play Todd Gurley at Seattle tonight?
Andy Holloway
Oh, man, I would rather. Oh, man, that's tough.
Jason Moore
I think I. I'd play Crow. I would. And I have Crow four spots higher than Gurley.
Andy Holloway
Crow. Look, we. We did talk about last week. When RG3 comes in, it's going to help Crowell with opening up running lanes as defenses have to watch for a mobile running quarterback. Have to watch those zone Reed plays.
Jason Moore
They don't have to watch for nothing with RG last week. They don't have to watch. They don't even have to open their eyes.
Andy Holloway
Isaiah Crowell, he only got 10 carries last week, but he had 113 yards on the ground. And Buffalo's run defense, for fantasy purposes, isn't that.
Mike Wright
Well, I Mean, we saw what happened last week.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. So I'm just saying, I think that Isaiah Crowell is a startable guy. I might move him up a little bit.
Jason Moore
Here's a question for you. I'm going to throw this out there. Does a wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns. Let me rephrase. Does a pass catcher of any variety, running back, tight end or wide receiver, catch more than three passes this week? Ooh, over.
Mike Wright
Under three.
Jason Moore
Over. Under of three. I'm taking the under.
Andy Holloway
I would take the over. But if you wanted to say, does a pass catcher of any variety, any.
Jason Moore
Player on the Browns have more than three receptions?
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
So do you want to water about that?
Andy Holloway
Don't do that. That's. That's. I mean, sure.
Jason Moore
Mike.
Andy Holloway
Water bet.
Jason Moore
We need to write that down because I want to come back to it on Monday.
Mike Wright
Okie dokie.
Jason Moore
So write that down and tell Brooks to put that in the Monday show. What was the other bet?
Mike Wright
I think you just did.
Jason Moore
What was the other bet that we made yesterday?
Mike Wright
You're the better.
Jason Moore
Tampa Bay.
Mike Wright
Tampa Bay. Dallas. Yeah. All right, we got to get that notation.
Jason Moore
If I win, Jason. Yeah, Sub. Here's an extra bet. All right. If I lose, I get watered. If you lose, you get water.
Mike Wright
This should be like a snow bet. But if, If I win both.
Jason Moore
If I win both. If either of us sweep, then we.
Andy Holloway
Get to choose lunch the next.
Jason Moore
Then we're choosing lunches for one another. Next.
Andy Holloway
Yes. Let's do it.
Mike Wright
Oh, man.
Jason Moore
If either of us sweep and I feel like I'm the long odds here.
Andy Holloway
I agree.
Jason Moore
So what that all that means, Jay.
Andy Holloway
Is I'm getting your.
Jason Moore
Is if I win, I'm going to make you eat some real crap.
Andy Holloway
Oh, you're going to be eating.
Jason Moore
You're going to be eating three stuffed tomatoes to start the week and then I'm going to go from there. I'm going to have no guilt because I picked Tampa to upset Dallas and I picked no more than three receptions for any player on the entire Cleveland roster.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Which I might be eating some crap myself. All right. Packers and Bears. Oh, my. The divisional matchup. Forty and a half point over, under. Interesting to me. Feels a little low. Bears are six point dogs. They're at home.
Mike Wright
You know what's low? Is that temperature.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Yeah. Is that one.
Mike Wright
Yeah. One.
Jason Moore
One degree. Do you know the Arizonans do not know what that means when a temperature.
Mike Wright
Is so low that you have to drop the plural s off the back. How many degrees? No, no, no.
Jason Moore
How many degree.
Mike Wright
It's One degree outside.
Jason Moore
Okay.
Mike Wright
Or do you actually say it's one degrees?
Jason Moore
I don't think he said one degree.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, yeah.
Mike Wright
I just want. It doesn't make sense for English to say 1 degrees.
Jason Moore
Did you ever like the band 98 Degree?
Mike Wright
Why is 98 Degrees gone?
Jason Moore
They've been brought up twice.
Mike Wright
Two mentions on this show. All right, Nick Lachey, hit me up.
Jason Moore
Please not don't hit me up. Rogers and Barkley facing off. Jeffrey returns. Jordy Nelson's my number two wide receiver of the week.
Mike Wright
I don't blame you.
Jason Moore
Jordy Nelson last week. I don't know if you. Did you guys see this play? Second touchdown he had where he is basically getting face guarded, like face defended. And so the guy is not looking at the quarterback and they're just in the end zone, but they're stopped. And he just points to the right like he's standing still and he points to the right and Rogers throws it before anybody moves. And they have that connection. And it was a touchdown. I just. You cannot replicate that with just anybody. So I really love what Nelson can bring in this game. Obviously, the packers are playing for their playoff lives. I don't expect a blowout in Chicago in this weather, but I think Rogers is going to be just fine and do enough.
Mike Wright
Yeah, Rogers is the Chicago Bears. Last time they played, which was week seven, he went. It was a slow start, but he ended up with the 326 and 3. And that was kind of the beginning, so of the resurgence of the Green Bay Packer offense, where you had the whole beginning of the season. What is going on?
Andy Holloway
What is wrong?
Mike Wright
They're up and down. Since that point, Rogers has been just on fire, so I'm perfectly fine with him. I believe he's my number one quarterback on the week.
Jason Moore
That's pretty high.
Mike Wright
It doesn't get any higher.
Jason Moore
One degree for number one Rogers.
Andy Holloway
Rogers has been on fire. The guy that I really like that I think is worth talking about is Time Montgomery.
Mike Wright
Yep.
Andy Holloway
Because the weather is so low, you usually go with, you know, the running game. Was that. Was that look. Did I say something wrong?
Jason Moore
I just never. What does low weather look like?
Andy Holloway
It looks.
Jason Moore
It's like down at the bottom. Is that like fog?
Andy Holloway
Very near the ground.
Jason Moore
Very near the ground.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. I think Time Montgomery showed that he was the starting running back for Green Bay and he should be. I expect him to be this week. And he had a great game last week. Got his first rushing touchdown of the year, and he looks great as a runner. He's Obviously great at catching the ball as well. And if he's involved in the offense, you've got a good running defense in Chicago and an passing defense. I think Ty Montgomery fits the mold of how they can move the ball on Coleman.
Mike Wright
Is he back to a starting fantasy player for you?
Andy Holloway
Yes, he most definitely is, especially in this weather at the running back position.
Jason Moore
Jordan Howard.
Andy Holloway
Okay.
Jason Moore
I would say it was other side of the ball decisions to be made for a lot of fantasy owners. Jordan Howard falls into that category of a guy that was added off of waivers to a team that is already had some running backs and some decisions to be made like Spencer Ware, Jay A. Jair LeGarrett Blunt. How confident are you in Jordan Howard in the weather with how amazingly good he has been?
Mike Wright
Yeah, I'm staying in those Flames.
Jason Moore
You're staying in the Jordan Howard volume flames, right? Isn't that what they are?
Andy Holloway
Yes. They don't even have to be that much volume. I mean, he's getting, he's getting a lot. I mean, this last week he only had 13 carries, 86 yards and he's involved in the passing game. Added 24 yards through the air last week. Here's the week before.32 carries, but some incredible.
Jason Moore
Oh, sorry.
Andy Holloway
Jordan Howard, I love him. He's a running back one this week he's the 10th ranked running back on the year.
Jason Moore
He is rushed for 20 or more yards on a higher percentage of carries than any running back in football. This year. He's averaged 5.8 yards per carry in the first half. This year he hits the ground running. Sure, he's been great. He's been great. I5A carry on the whole season, third in the league. I'll say this though, and this is with the entire defense knowing your offense is Jordan Howard and very little else.
Mike Wright
Jordan Howard has pooped his pants two times.
Jason Moore
Yeah, for me, I remember one of.
Mike Wright
Those games was Green Bay.
Jason Moore
Yes, it was. Well, there was a time that Green Bay's rush defense, we spoke about it a lot.
Mike Wright
Yeah, but are you saying I'm just playing devil's advocate here of the Does Green Bay have the advantage because it's that division game. Does McCarthy know how to scheme against John Fox in his running game is John Fox.
Jason Moore
I think everybody knows how to scheme against Jaguar. I look, I, I, we said it already. We buy Jordan.
Mike Wright
Okay, well, Alshon, Alshon. You can't move on without talking about Alshon Jeffrey.
Jason Moore
Watch me. No Alshon Jeffrey. I am the lowest in the confidence meter by far. Jason has them up at A wide receiver too, Mike, I assume you'll just him a little bit. You have him in that three range. I've got him outside of the wide receiver three zone. I don't like the road game. I mean, I'm sorry. I don't like the weather. I don't like the return. I don't like Matt Barkley. I don't like what's at stake for Green Bay.
Andy Holloway
I bet you don't like how Alshons performed before the suspension.
Jason Moore
I don't like much. And it's not that he can't do it. He's got the talent. He should have the targets. He's got three games to play for money. But I don't want to. I don't want to do it on my. My fantasy team has enough options where I'm not desperate in the semifinals for Alshon.
Andy Holloway
Jeffrey, I don't blame you one bit. Now I've got him ranked 23rd, which is a startable player, basically, because that's what I see as kind of his middle point. But the reality with Alshon is I think you're either going to get a good game or a really bad game out of him. Because there, there's the narrative that you just spoke of where he's playing for money, he needs the ball. He's going to be a squeaky wheel out there. He's talented, he's got the opportunity. The targets could all be there, things could work his way. There's also the narrative that, you know, there was a report that came out that said that Matt Barkley had an extra practice with Alshon to, to, you know, work on chemistry. Well, that sounds like good news. And then when you read about it, it's like that was the first time he had ever thrown a ball to Alshon. Jeffrey was that day. So there is no chemistry. You don't, you don't get NFL chemistry in an hour. That's why Robbie Anderson's catching all these balls.
Jason Moore
If, If Jeffrey has a game, I'll tell you how it happens. It's a 57 yard catch. It's a 59 yard catch. The Green Bay pass. Packers are vulnerable to deep passes. That's the one thing that they do. So they're going to have Barkley throw the ball up to him. He's going to. He's a huge guy. So I think that's how he makes his day. I'm just not willing to bet on it. So that's where I'm at. Jaguars take on the Texans. Jaguars.
Andy Holloway
Jaguars.
Jason Moore
Jaguars. 39 and a half point over under. Texans are one of my favorite defenses of the week. They're at home. This game's in the dome. They are fighting for that playoff spot. Their defense has been very good.
Andy Holloway
So let's talk Nick Novak.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Upside play.
Andy Holloway
No, let's not.
Jason Moore
Look, last week Yelden was valuable enough. When Ivory's out, He's averaging about 20 touches a game. So if Ivory misses, there's something there with Yelden. Lamar Miller, on the other hand, we're going to talk about shortly because he's one of my favorite stars of the week. So do you guys need to talk about running backs or has that covered it or should we move on to wide receivers?
Mike Wright
I think Yelden is. If he's the guy, if the volume is king again for TJ Eldon, he's a, he's a startable, two, three fringe type of guy. To me, he's been fine in the last couple weeks when he's the only guy that's going to get the ball. The Texans run defense, 18th, you know, so right around the middle of the pack. And I agree with Vegas here, the 39 and a half, they'd like this to be a lower scoring game. I'm with that. It gets TJ Eldon in the double digit carries. It's fine if you need that low end running back too. I think you think he's okay.
Andy Holloway
I agree. I agree with you. If Ivory is out, I mean, you go, okay, well, Houston's really good defense. Well, so is Minnesota. You know, they're coming. He's coming off of playing Denver and Minnesota now to Houston. That is a bad stretch.
Jason Moore
So one of the reasons we really didn't like Robinson's. Alan Robinson and Bortles playoff schedules even before they were not good.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, but. But what you've seen with the coaching change at the same time is that all of a sudden the running. But T.J. yeld in the last two weeks, 14 carries and 17 carries. And in addition to the 17 carries, do you know how many passes he caught last week? Seven. Seven receptions. That's good wide receiver numbers. You had 17 carries. There isn't a volume there. If Chris Ivory is out to play him in this bad matchup.
Mike Wright
I agree.
Jason Moore
All right. Alan Robinson, any hope for him?
Andy Holloway
No, none.
Jason Moore
Any chance Will Fuller has a game for once? Because you got Braxton Miller going on ir, You've got Will Fuller kind of. Maybe.
Mike Wright
Maybe it's.
Andy Holloway
I'm not going to play him in the playoffs.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I have them at like 40 something.
Andy Holloway
40 so you've got them pretty high.
Mike Wright
As crazy as this is, I don't.
Jason Moore
Have Hopkins 38, Fuller 41.
Mike Wright
I don't know my. I don't have my rankings memorized for these four guys, but just looking at the names in this matchup, the guy I want to play the most if I have to play someone from this game is Marquis Lee. And I know that's gross.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
But that's just the. That's life, people. That's the way it is.
Andy Holloway
I would still rather play Alan Robinson over Marquis Fleet.
Jason Moore
Why?
Andy Holloway
The reason is because of talent and the ability to get one deep pass. I mean, Marquis Lee, I think last week he actually caught a deep ball. I feel like that was the first deep ball I've ever seen him catch in his career.
Mike Wright
I mean, but he's coming. Yeah, he's been. He was super beat up. He's been coming on as of late. In 113 yards, he has two touchdowns the last four weeks. Alan Robinson is doing absolutely nothing. Derek Hopkins is doing nothing.
Andy Holloway
I mean, to argue Alan Robinson vs Marquis Lee is pretty moot. I'm not starting any of these guys in the playoffs.
Jason Moore
Yeah. I mean, I bought into the Bortles and Robinson met and worked things out last week, and it didn't happen. I mean, Xavier Rhodes had a lot to do with it. So I don't know if this is the week where you can. You can wish upon a star.
Mike Wright
Sure.
Jason Moore
But that's exactly what you're doing when you start Alan Robinson.
Andy Holloway
I think this week, wishing on a black hole like you still wishing. And it might come true, but that dream might just get sucked right up, be gone.
Jason Moore
Yeah. It's unfortunate. And this is the game that highlights the. The two. Two very big disappointments. Both passes, Hopkins and Robinson.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. This is a great game for just the craziness. If you talked early in the year, I mean, think about this. We're sitting. We're basically sitting DeAndre Hopkins against the Jaguars in the playoffs.
Mike Wright
Yep.
Jason Moore
Things you didn't expect when you looked.
Andy Holloway
Pre draft season, you're like, oh, he plays the Jaguars. DeAndre Hopkins in the playoffs. I want that. No, no, you don't.
Mike Wright
No, no, no, no, no, no, no. All right.
Andy Holloway
I do think, honestly the high score here, other than Lamar Miller, might be Nick Novak. So.
Jason Moore
All right, we're going to press the pause button on the matchups, finish this up tomorrow. We're going to move on to the starts of the week breakdown, guys that we really like for your Week 15 playoff matchups. Look There's a number of players that I think have a lot of upside this week and we want to get you ready.
Andy Holloway
Starts of the week.
Jason Moore
All right, well, who wants to kick it off?
Mike Wright
I'll jump in here. I'll jump in here with a quarterback that I like more than the consensus. The consensus out in the universe right now, and that is Andy Dalton at home taking on the Steelers dream. Yeah. And Andy seems to like him as a stream and I do, I agree that a lot of people are down on him. 366 and 1 the last time they played Pitt. Of course, AJ Green was involved in that game. You know who's at practice on Wednesday? A.J.
Andy Holloway
Green.
Mike Wright
I just, I think that Andy Dalton can get it done. If there's any event or case where Big Ben actually can perform on the road, get a higher scoring game, I just, I want, I want a quarterback with some upside and it's a, it's a difficult road I think this week for quarterbacks. There's, there's not many who stand out as guys that I absolutely love. So I just, I went with Andy Dalton because he's a guy that I like more than most people.
Jason Moore
Jason.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I'll. I'll hop on here and go with a guy that I have toyed with making my number one quarterback this week. I think right now he's number three. And for me there's like three quarterbacks that just. If, you know, if this were draft season and I made a tier, they would be there. And one of those three is Kirk Cousins. He is my start of the week. I love his matchup. Look, he's been.
Jason Moore
As does Mike.
Andy Holloway
He has been on fire.
Jason Moore
But Mike might be wishful thinking.
Andy Holloway
The last two weeks he's been okay. 234 yards, two touchdowns. That's against Philly. In Philly, we've seen plenty of quarterbacks struggle in Philly this, this year. Hot quarterbacks really go into Philly and just fall on their face. 234 and 2 is not bad the week before. 271 and 1. Eh, but that was against Arizona. In Arizona, he also ran one in. Yes, correct. He ran a touchdown in before those games. I mean, we're talking 375 yards, 449, three touchdowns in both of those games. And now projecting forward, he is back at home after this road, that three game road trip, he's back at home playing well against Carolina, who is not good at pass defense right now. I mean, especially since Luke Keakley has gone back out. I know he was back at practice but they're taking it really slow with him, as they should. They've given up to the quarterback, two touchdowns in three of their last four games. They've given up over 300 yards and half of them. I like Kirk Cousins. The weather outside is supposed to be fine as of now. You know, five mile an hour winds, no chance of rain, 35 degrees. I think this is a game where the Panthers can score enough to where the over under should be high and Kirk Cousins could end up having a monstrous game and should be a somewhat safe option.
Mike Wright
So I was going to, I just wanted to throw in real quick. It's the safety for me of Kirk Cousins. He has not had a bad fantasy game since Week 5. He has two fantasy duds on the.
Andy Holloway
Season, Week 1 and Week 5.
Mike Wright
And as in speaking of, in terms of duds, these we've seen far worse from good quarterbacks come out and give you just absolutely nothing. He still gave you 16 points in Week 5 against Baltimore.
Andy Holloway
Think about the other side of the ball with Cam Newton. How many duds has he been given people?
Mike Wright
So all right, he's upside and safe to me.
Jason Moore
I going with Derek Carr. There were some sad moments last week with Carr and Cooper and Crabtree and their failures against Kansas City. I'm expecting a bounce back performance from this team this week. I realized they're on the road. They've got a divisional matchup against San Diego. Last time they played, Carr went 317 and two against them. I think this is the week where I like him. I have number four. I have Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson ahead of him and that's it. I like Derek Carr. I think you can have confidence starting Derek Carr this week if you don't have those other three guys. And I'm going to, I'm going to continue. I'm going to move on into my wide receiver because it's a combo here. I think Derek Carr, the biggest beneficiary of this good game. It's not Amari Cooper who pooped last week and who by the way, when he played San Diego last time had eight, had 138 yards against him. But I think Casey Hayward keeps Cooper enough in check. I think the beneficiary is Michael Crabtree. Michael Crabtree, look, Crabtree's been great this year. Tied for second in red zone targets. Had a touchdown against San Diego last time and if you, if you erase last game, which we didn't like, he had eight catches, seven catches. I really like Michael Crabtree. In this game, I think you, if you had that pair of car and Crabtree, I think you can be very confident. So wide receiver Jason, who do you got? Oh, we disagree on this.
Andy Holloway
Yes, we do disagree. And this is a scary one because I'm going with a guy who I guess I hope you still have if you're in the playoffs. He might have cost you the playoffs last week. That's DEZ Bryant. Des Bryant had negative points for most scoring formats last week as he caught one reception for a fumble. And so you might not want to play him this week.
Jason Moore
Tampa Bay, he had that dream game that fantasy owners dream about like you face. Oh, I'm, you know, my opponent plays DEZ Bryant and I'm down by like a point.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
And he just throws him out there.
Mike Wright
The only way I win is if.
Jason Moore
He catches the ball and fumbles. It's like that dream scenario.
Andy Holloway
Someone out there, someone won that way. And that's kudos. Congratulations. But this week I don't think does Bryant's going to do that to you. The Tampa Bay defense is for real. I'm not, I'm not saying start Des Bryant because Tampa Bay's defense is bad. Before the buy, they were bad. After the buy, they've been pretty good. But they are not, you know, when it comes to wide receivers, since they're by, they're not, you know, locked down, elite. They've had three games since week seven where no wide receivers had a touchdown. Every other game they've had one or two touchdowns given up. And DEZ Bryant is still a talented guy. This game is in Dallas. I'm just saying I expect him to be a wide receiver. 1. He's, he gets the red zone looks, he gets the deep balls. And they, they need this win. They're coming off of a loss. So I'm. This is more of a confidence boost saying, you know, should I worry about playing Des? I think you can play him. I think I should play him.
Mike Wright
On my wide receiver start of the week is Deshaun Jackson.
Andy Holloway
Really?
Mike Wright
I like Kirk Cousins. I like desean Jackson.
Jason Moore
You've got the stack as well.
Mike Wright
He is, I think he is fully back to health. And when you think of DeSean Jackson, you think of Boom Bust. Well, three of the last four games he has been boom, boom town, my friends.
Jason Moore
Championship boomtown.
Mike Wright
Four for 51 and a touchdown. Four for 118 and a touchdown. One for 59. That was against the Arizona Cardinals. Seen a lot of Patrick Peterson followed that up with three for 102 and a touchdown. He's getting deep. I think he is a very solid wide receiver too. In standard leagues, in ppr I'd probably bump him down a little bit. But in standard Leagues, I love DeSean Jackson to continue the boom streak and catch a deep one.
Jason Moore
All right, running back starts of the week. I'm going with Lamar Miller and this is a confidence boost for people. We had been worried about the ankle and the ribs and the injuries and the problems. He was single digits three of the previous four weeks after a more consistent start to the season. But last week we saw it all. We saw him come out against Indianapolis, go on the road and have 21 carries, 100 and 107 yards and a touchdown. Here you are home again fighting for this division. I think this is the game where you can have a lot of confidence rolling Lamar Miller out there. I have him rated very highly this week and I just feel like he is one of the safer running back plays that exists out there. I know it's been a very up and down season. I know it's not been exciting because everything with the Texans offense is described as not exciting. I mean, even if you just look at Lamar Miller's involvement in the passing game, which used to be such a huge part of his game, it's all the, you know, the shortest routes, the lowest yards at the point of target. So not always exciting. But this week I have him in my top 12. So I'm going to go with Lamar Miller.
Andy Holloway
I'll hop on. For running backs. My start of the week this week is legarette Blunt. Legarrett Blunt is a guy that you look at the matchup and you go, denver has the best defense in the league. And that's what I think. I think Denver is the best defense in the league. And so you might be scared to start LeGarrett blunt, but Denver is susceptible to running backs. They have been all year. Ask Latavius Murray how they fared against them. Remember the Oakland Raiders got to that point in that game where they just said, we're going to run it 10 times in a row.
Mike Wright
They were going to run the same play over and over and over.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. And if you listen to Von Miller this past week, coming off of like he was asked, hey, how was it going up against Marcus Mariota? What did you think? And he goes, well, we had a game plan but we couldn't do it because they just kept running on us. I mean, that's what he said. He's frustrated as a pass rush, you know, Wanting to tackle that quarterback. Tom Brady has struggled against Denver in the past. I think LeGarrett Blunt is the tool that Bill Belichick is going to use. No team just finds themselves on the one yard line more than the Patriots, I feel like. And LeGarrett blunt has a good shot of scoring. I think he's primed for a good game and I would start him.
Jason Moore
Mike, I had not seen your start of the week at the running back position until just now and let me say this, I love it. Oh, I love it. I might have him rated higher than you. I don't even know.
Mike Wright
Welcome aboard.
Jason Moore
I do. I got him one spot higher than you do. And we both, we both love them. So go on.
Mike Wright
That's good news. I'm taking a running back against the worst running defense in the league. Tevin Coleman takes on the San Francisco 49ers. There is plenty, in my opinion, plenty to go around for Freeman and Coleman. We've seen that he is. He's back only at eight carries for 36 yards, but he had that all important touchdown and 2 for 19 with a touchdown through the air. Multifaceted back Matt. It's just, maybe we're looking a little forward here. But Matt Ryan is a curious case to me this week because the matchup is so great for what appears so great for Matt Ryan. But they might do everything through the running backs this week. So to me, Tevin Coleman is a solid flex play at worst running back to. At best.
Jason Moore
All right. I, I got Matt Ryan number one. So I'm, I'm not, I'm not worried, but I understand it could be incredible for Matt. We need your tight end start of the week, Mike. All right.
Mike Wright
I'm going with the guy.
Jason Moore
Make it snappy.
Mike Wright
Going with a guy who's tied with Michael Crabtree for, for second. And red zone targets Kyle Rudolph. They don't call him the red zone Ranger for nothing. He gets the red zone targets. He's taken on the Indianapolis Colts. They are beatable. I think that Sammy Biscuits is an okay stream if you, if you're digging deep. And Kyle Rudolph has been a touchdown machine this year. I think that he scores this week.
Jason Moore
Yeah. And that's hard for you to say because I know you're playing against him in one of our.
Mike Wright
I am.
Jason Moore
I'm going to go with Big gresh Jermaine Gresham. We know John Brown's limited with the sickle cell trade. He hasn't been an involved wide receiver in this offense for a while. Michael Floyd was just released by the Cardinals.
Mike Wright
We'll get no snaps this week.
Jason Moore
Zero snaps for Floyd. Obviously I like Larry Fitzgerald this week, but I like Jermaine Gresham as well. Five catches in each of the last three weeks. I think you can do a lot worse than Gresham and I think you've got a shot at a touchdown in this matchup with the Saints at home. I'll be at that game, so I'll be, I'll be on the lookout for Big Grush to get into the end zone. I think you can do a lot worse to have him right at the, you know, kind of tail end. Fedorowicz level back in tight end one.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. And my start of the week is Antonio Gates. I liked him last week. He had an okay game three of the last four games he's played. He's been over 50 yards for a tight end. That's great. He's had a touchdown in half of his last four games. He's a few touchdowns away from the record and there's a few games left. They will be targeting him. He had a couple of red zone targets this last week. I think you've got a safe floor with 5 for 50 for tight end and a really good chance against the Oakland Raiders in a high scoring game or what I hope to be a high scoring game that Antonio Gates gets in the end zone. I think he's a safe start with a good ceiling.
Jason Moore
All right, those were our starts of the week. You can check them out also on the website later today. Thefantasyfootballers.com we'll have them on there for your review. And look, without further ado, we get to the most important segment.
Mike Wright
Oh my.
Andy Holloway
Jason Moore's ironclad, locked and loaded. 100% guaranteed. Boom boom kicker of the week.
Jason Moore
You guys out there know we're family men. We have, we each of us have three children. We put our families first, but Jason does not. Jason puts the kickers first, family second.
Andy Holloway
They're most important.
Jason Moore
Boom boom kicker of the week.
Andy Holloway
Oh, man, I have never struggled with a week as much as I have this week. It's really true. I wanted to go house. I wanted to be bold. But I'm not going to do that. This is the second week of the playoffs. Yeah, I'm going to stay in the Flames. I'm going to go with who should be the number one. Anyways, it's a good matchup for him and he could kick it from, from my house.
Mike Wright
Don't be a, don't be a Coward.
Jason Moore
I'm not.
Andy Holloway
I'm going Justin Tucker. I'm going Boom, boom, boom.
Jason Moore
How could you Boo. Justin Tucker.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, you have no soul.
Jason Moore
Mike and I wanted to find out how far Justin Tucker was about to kick the ball, but she interrupted him with booze.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, you don't know where he's going. He might have been going from my house to just across the street. I could do that.
Jason Moore
So Jason Moore's ironclad, locked and loaded, 100% guaranteed boom, boom kick of the week is none other than Justin. I will throw Tucker.
Andy Holloway
I will throw out two sleepers. Steven kickers.
Jason Moore
All right.
Andy Holloway
Steven Hauschka and Nick Novak.
Jason Moore
All right. All right. Sleeper kickers are, you know, from the Boom boom Room.
Mike Wright
Yeah, they're just Nick Novak's, the original Boom Boom Novak.
Jason Moore
