Jason Moore
He's gotta be.
Mike Wright
My name's Alaska Murdoch.
Jason Moore
I like that. That's his brother, though.
Mike Wright
All right, so you have to change your first name to the state you live in.
Jason Moore
Yes, correct. I'm Arizona Holloway. All right, quick question of the day. We want to talk takeaways from last night's Thursday night football game. I watched every snap of that game for better or for worse. Still, still in shock at how good Terrell Suggs is without biceps. So he's a great player.
Mike Wright
He's a beast.
Jason Moore
Baltimore won the game 28 to 7.
Mike Wright
Joe Flacco, I say, look, the Cleveland Browns, everybody. The Cleveland Browns, they are for real. For real.
Jason Moore
In terms of start. Everybody start, everyone.
Mike Wright
Against the Browns here. I'm doing a. In the. In the previous seven games combined, Joe Flacco had three passing touchdowns. Before the game started, Joe Flacco had more interceptions than touchdown passes I got.
Andy Holloway
And he played terrible.
Jason Moore
I was pretty. I was pretty afraid of my streaming pick of Joe Flacco in the second quarter when it was getting late in that quarter even at halftime. But all things returned to the normal against the Browns. I think the Browns go winless this season. I don't see them beating the Steelers, Giants, Bengals, Bills, Chargers or Steelers. And so I don't think they win a game this year. And I think they become the second 0 and 16 team joining the Lions, apparently Me liking you as a coach, it just does. It's not a good thing for your team.
Andy Holloway
Hugh Jackson, you must hate Bill Belichick.
Jason Moore
No, I actually like what?
Andy Holloway
Don't, Don't. Don't you.
Jason Moore
I remember I first told Bill Belichick I liked him in the super bowl against the Giants when they were.
Andy Holloway
That makes sense.
Jason Moore
No, I don't think they win next week. Steelers, you're going to start them all.
Mike Wright
The interesting thing yesterday on our. The foot cast, our Join the foot show, Andy and I had a discussion about the Cleveland Browns. And it's. You're in this weird, awkward situation where you know the only way your team gets better is if you lose. I think they knew that. Look, they were ahead with Cody Kessler at the half, seven to six. Not that Cody Kessler was playing great, but they were ahead and they pulled him.
Jason Moore
I. That was the first time I was completely confused by that. I mean, as a fancy owner, I thought I was. I thought I was happy McCown was coming in, but he was just a turnover machine. I. I don't understand playing McCown unless the lesson there was that it was some accountability for Kessler. Right. Like he. They told Kessler to do something in the game. Possibly he repeatedly didn't do it. And that was kind of the. The tough love.
Mike Wright
They could have said, hey, Cody Kessler, go downfield. And he was said, but I can't. Yeah, that ball that both.
Jason Moore
I think Brad Evans said, wiffle ball speed.
Mike Wright
That is rookie of the year. At the end of the movie, when the, when the mom says, hey, float it.
Jason Moore
I've always.
Mike Wright
Cody Kessler's strategy.
Jason Moore
I've always wondered if I could play quarterback in the NFL. And the answer is yes. That's the firm answer.
Andy Holloway
All right.
Jason Moore
You're very happy with Flacco. You're not necessarily happy with Terrence West.
Andy Holloway
I was just going to bring up the running backs, I think is what most people want to know. Terrence west had 21 carries.
Mike Wright
Still the man.
Andy Holloway
That is great. That is. You want a guy getting 21 carries. He got it against the Cleveland Browns. That is incredible.
Mike Wright
You know, he must have had a monster game.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. And he. And he was below average. He was mediocre at best. He. He was outproduced by far fewer touches by Kenneth Dixon. So going forward, snap count wise, though.
Jason Moore
They split pretty well.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Going. Going forward. I mean, who do you expect to be, say, next week, who do you expect to have more fantasy points? You still have to say Terrence west, right?
Jason Moore
No, not in half Point and full point leagues. At this point, I'm moving on to Kenneth Dixon. He had five catches for 42 yards. He was on the field a ton and it was very indicative of their plans for him. When it was garbage time and it was Javorius Allen taking every snap. It was not. It was not Kenneth Dixon. He's part of their starting running back rotation. Terrence west. You watch the game, watch the film. He danced too much. He just danced too much. He did some of the things that caused him problems earlier in his career, and I think they're fine. Look, the future is not Terrence West.
Andy Holloway
And earlier in Terrence West's career, we've seen him put together, you know, a monstrous game or two and then, and then go away and then be supplanted. So I don't know if, you know, people just don't like the guy in practice, but he's had a past of going away after big games. So I do think rest of season, maybe not this next week, in my opinion, but I think rest of season, Kenneth Dixon is the better back to own.
Mike Wright
And just real quick, Jamie Collins on the Cleveland Browns. I mean, that's going to change some things for a defense. So maybe that had a bigger effect than you would think.
Jason Moore
On the other side. I mean, it was. Nobody performed. I mean, Terrell Pryor led the team with 5 for 48.
Mike Wright
I was so happy when McCown came in for Terrell Pryor.
Jason Moore
Yeah, he took that deep shot into the arms of Eric Weddle. Isaiah Cruel, you can't trust him. Duke Johnson, you can't trust him. For goodness sakes, you can't trust the Corey Coleman's of the world. Terrell Pryor is the one guy that you can start, but he might be a three because, I mean, look, those six matchups I told you, I'm not excited about, he's a two.
Mike Wright
You can throw on this. You said the Steelers, right? They're coming up. Yeah, you can throw on them.
Jason Moore
It's just, I don't know who's going to play quarterback. And you know what's not happening? Prior is not getting into Wildcat anymore. They don't want to win. That's if they wanted to win.
Mike Wright
That's what I was saying.
Jason Moore
If they wanted to win, they would have done what made them competitive in that Miami game where they took them into overtime. And it was Prior behind center around the goal line, Prior taking some option plays that. It just doesn't make sense. So we can't, we can't linger on that game all day long, obviously. But, you know, if you saw it and you had Flacco, Steve Smith, you were happy. Rashad Perryman flashed a little bit. You guys buying into him at all or is this just a Asterisks. Cleveland Browns game.
Mike Wright
Like I said, three touchdowns in the previous seven games for Joe Flacco.
Jason Moore
All right, don't forget, on Sunday morning, Mike will be on periscope once again. Yes.
Mike Wright
Pay attention for the timing of that, though.
Jason Moore
Yeah, the clocks change this week. We don't change in Arizona.
Mike Wright
The clocks changed. And I am also leaving out of town that day, so I may be earlier.
Jason Moore
Okay, so pay attention on our Twitter @The FFBallers. You can follow Mike @FFHitman, follow me at Andy Holloway, and follow Jason @JasonAsonFFL. Lots of unique content, premium content, things like that that we share.
Mike Wright
Flex rankings are only available over there.
Jason Moore
That is correct. That is correct. So without further ado, we move into the news.
Andy Holloway
News and notes from around the league.
Jason Moore
All right, D'Angelo Williams underwent knee surgery on Tuesday without a date for a return. Some say two to three weeks, some say four to six weeks. The real question is your levy on Bell's owner. You're getting ready for the playoffs. Do you have to own two handcuffs? I mean, I don't think so.
Mike Wright
I have Le'Veon Bell in my money league.
Jason Moore
What are you doing?
Mike Wright
I dropped D Will immediately and I picked up Toussaint.
Jason Moore
That is the Fitzgerald. Toussaint is the backup?
Andy Holloway
Yes, and I completely support that. That's the right call to make. It stinks because someone might pick up D'Angelo Williams, but the hope is that he just stays out there injured as a backup that people can't pick up, can't stash on their bench. Right now, you need to have Fitzgerald Toussaint. If Le'Veon Bell goes down, the role will be a workhorse role by necessity.
Mike Wright
And I'll say this just nothing is. Nothing has happened. I'm not even hearing whispers from the bushes. But remember who was on their practice squad. That is Carlos Williams. So that just. Just monitor some news if he gets moved up to the active roster. Just saying keep an eye out. That's all I'm saying.
Jason Moore
All right, rest of season, would you rather have Matt Jones or James White?
Andy Holloway
Ooh, Matt Jones.
Mike Wright
Probably Matt Jones.
Jason Moore
But what about Matt Jones or Chris Thompson?
Andy Holloway
Thompson, yeah, definitely Thompson.
Jason Moore
So Matt Jones, it's been reported, could be a healthy scratch in week 10, firmly supplanted by Robert Kelly as of today. We know how backfields are backfields, Right?
Andy Holloway
That's the question I thought you were going to ask. Who would you rather have, Matt Jones or Rob Kelly?
Jason Moore
It's Robert Kelly.
Mike Wright
Yeah, it's Rob Kelly.
Jason Moore
You got to buy into that. Now, the thing we know is that, you know, Matt Jones may be a healthy scratch for a reason. He can't play special teams. They're going to have somebody else active as a third running back if he's dropped behind Kelly and Thompson. And Thompson's not going anywhere, but he's the two. And the one thing that this does is it says, hey, you probably flex Chris Thompson. He's in that.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
CJ Pro size level start this week.
Andy Holloway
That means a lot of people are going to wonder right now, what do I do with Matt Jones? Do I hold him in case this news is wrong? Do I drop him if I need a roster spot?
Jason Moore
That's a no. It is a good question because I said, yes, that I'd hold him, but it's not. Under all circumstances. If I could have Kenneth Dixon, I'd rather have Kenneth Dixon. If I could have. What are some other guys that.
Mike Wright
The aforementioned pro size.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I'd probably rather take the upshot of pro size right now. You're talking about coming down the wire. I mean, in our league of record.
Mike Wright
Got to make some money.
Jason Moore
Our playoffs start in week 14. We've got four weeks left, right?
Mike Wright
Yep.
Jason Moore
So this is not. There's not as much time to hold and wait and see anymore. This is moving time.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I agree.
Mike Wright
I agree that he's.
Jason Moore
If you.
Mike Wright
If there's a move to be made and he's your only drop, drop him.
Jason Moore
All right. Romo expected to be inactive on Sunday. Eagles coach Frank Reich says offensive coordinator.
Mike Wright
He's not the coach.
Jason Moore
What did I say?
Mike Wright
You just said Eagles coach.
Jason Moore
Is he a coach? Thank you.
Mike Wright
When you say coach, you are inferring the head coach.
Jason Moore
Okay. All right. They want to feature Zachary. It's more in the red zone.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Yeah. You know, I. I don't believe anything.
Mike Wright
That the dirty Eagles coaches tell me.
Jason Moore
I want it to snow in the summer. So.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. That being said, it is a very good matchup for Ertz this week. So, you know, playing at the tight end position. So this combined with the matchup combined with last week leads me to believe that he is a very fine play this week. That I will put it at that Many people. I would start him over.
Jason Moore
Sure. You know, you missed the show yesterday, but I think I compared tight ends to a spittoon of some sort. He's another one you can. You can put in your lineup and then spit into the bucket the next week. So Roger Goodell came out and said that they're looking at a variety of ways to shorten the game broadcast, including trimming some advertising, help keep the action moving.
Mike Wright
That's very interesting.
Jason Moore
I feel like slow clapping. I mean, that's. There's some things going wrong with the production right now.
Mike Wright
Well, the thing about football is if, let's say you're on game pass, you're on the NFL game Pass. And, you know, you get these shortened ones where they cut out all the fluff. The game is 30 minutes long, but instead of 30 minutes, I'm sitting there for three hours. Look, I. I get. I enjoy, you know, the sitting the in and kind of watching friends and the pace of football, but three plus.
Jason Moore
Hours, here's a good start. How about we don't go to commercial break after every kickoff?
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
How about we just come out and you're just on the field? You know, how about.
Andy Holloway
How about. Let's put some of this on the teams as well. How about we don't take a timeout before your first.
Jason Moore
Oh, my God.
Andy Holloway
Before your first play in the game? All right, game starting. Ready?
Jason Moore
Oh, I've never seen that before.
Mike Wright
I don't think I've ever seen it has happened.
Jason Moore
And you have to do it. 12 men on the field. You had to do it. But just how do you start the game with 12 men on the field? There's no rush. You've got all the time in the world. One, two, three.
Andy Holloway
You're starting today, and. Yeah, you're starting today.
Mike Wright
You had a commercial break to figure it out.
Jason Moore
Do you think that they were in the huddle in Cleveland and they were just like, rah. Rahing each other up, and it's like, let's get out there and do it. And then all of them took that seriously. It was just like, let's all go out there and they might have won with 12.
Andy Holloway
Nope.
Jason Moore
Okay. Interesting stuff from. From the league on that front. They got to do some things. Let's go ahead and talk about some injuries and play in and out. All right. In and out at the quarterback. There's only one that I want to talk about because we already said Romos not playing, not active. Not to be concerned with Ryan Fitzpatrick. Is he in or out practicing?
Mike Wright
He's Gonna play.
Andy Holloway
He is the perfect in or out? Because he will be in and out is my prediction. He's someone you can't rely on, can't start. He will start the game. He stinks right now.
Jason Moore
Carlos Hyde, in or out?
Mike Wright
He's been still practicing in that non contact jersey.
Andy Holloway
He says he is feeling good and that he is on track and optimistic to play. I think he's out. I don't. I don't think they're going to push him back against Arizona this week.
Mike Wright
Is he feeling healthy or is he feeling good like Michael Buble feeling good?
Andy Holloway
Crickets.
Mike Wright
All right.
Jason Moore
You have to, you know, illustrate what the difference is when you bring up something like that.
Mike Wright
Well, you just. You're feeling good sometimes. Hey, how you doing? Oh, I feel good.
Jason Moore
All right. Doug Martin practiced again Thursday. He's optimistic he's going to play in or out.
Mike Wright
I lean in.
Andy Holloway
So here's the real question. He's in, he's active. He's the starter. Do you. Do you start him?
Mike Wright
Do you start him or Barber?
Jason Moore
I start Doug Martin, Absolutely. One million percent.
Andy Holloway
Yes. I. It was rhetorical. You start Doug Martin if he is active and in there. They have waited so long to get him back. They're not waiting so long to.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Jacquiz Rogers started over Barber. Antone Smith basically was out snapping Barber until the injury. So I don't think Barbers. He doesn't have any pedigree to take that job. Todd Gurley. He's fine. He's fine. He was back at practice Thursday. He had missed Wednesday's practice. Spencer Ware, in or out?
Mike Wright
In. He's past concussion protocol.
Jason Moore
Lamar Miller, in or out?
Mike Wright
I expect him to play, too.
Jason Moore
Deon Lewis.
Mike Wright
Dion Lewis. Here you go. The Patriots have cut Tyler Gaffney.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
That means the Patriots are making the preparations to put Dion Lewis onto the roster. And I know that Bill Belichick has said, well, it's going to take a lot to surpass James White. I imagine that will be watching Dion Lewis play one snap and go, oh, wow, that guy's really good.
Andy Holloway
He's got a lot more than James.
Mike Wright
White should play him.
Jason Moore
Now. This is the concern, though. I think you guys, you should not dismiss that. I mean, he said, can somebody do it better? I don't know. It would take quite a bit based on where he is and how consistent he's been with what he's done. It would take somebody playing pretty darn good to beat to be better than him.
Andy Holloway
That's a great.
Mike Wright
And then under his breath, he Said, you know, a guy like. Like a Dion Lewis, look, this first week, you can.
Andy Holloway
You cannot play James White. You cannot play Dion Lewis. Correct. Regardless, you're in a bad matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. But you want to watch this game and you want to see how do they use Dion Lewis. Are they. Are they using him similar to James White where it was almost exclusively a pass catching back? Are they giving him, you know, carries? Are they worried about. I mean, they might still be worried a little bit about his health. You just have to watch this game. You can't play either. I want Dion Lewis going forward over James White personally, because I think he will win out, talent will win out.
Jason Moore
I think you're going to run out of time and you very much. I think Dion Lewis is the kind of guy who you're going to see make an impact in the NFL playoffs. I'm not sure he makes an impact in your fantasy, baby, but that's still a month away.
Andy Holloway
I think he will make an impact.
Mike Wright
And he's also going to impact. Legare Blunt because Dion Lewis at Would you. When he was healthy, was getting eight to 10 carries where James White doesn't get carries.
Jason Moore
Tevin Coleman hasn't practiced all week. In or out?
Mike Wright
I go. I'm leaning out.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
James Starks.
Mike Wright
Ooh, James. He's practicing. Went through contact drills on Thursday. Oh, man. I'm going to. I think I'm going to go out.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I was going to lean out as well. He's. He's clearly one of those guys that today's practice is going to be the most important practice. If he practices in full today, I think you can be confident he'll start. If he doesn't practice in full, I'm going to say he's going to take another week off.
Jason Moore
All right, let's fly through these wide receivers. Randall Cobb, in or out?
Mike Wright
In.
Jason Moore
Mike Evans.
Mike Wright
Cleared in.
Jason Moore
Jarvis Landry got a shoulder injury, but.
Mike Wright
He'S going to play Stills.
Jason Moore
I still expect him to play D. Sean Jackson.
Andy Holloway
Ruled out.
Mike Wright
That one's easy.
Jason Moore
Okay. Tyrell Williams in. Travis Benjamin.
Andy Holloway
I'm going to say out.
Jason Moore
Jeremy Macklin out. Hearns still in.
Mike Wright
Concussion pro.
Andy Holloway
I don't think he's out.
Jason Moore
Marquis, Leah. A sneaky snart this week.
Mike Wright
Yeah, you can throw him in there.
Jason Moore
Coaches are talking about Lee as though he may have passed Hearns on the depth chart.
Andy Holloway
Well, he's played as good as Hearns has this year. And now with Hearns possibly out, I definitely think a sneaky snark will Fuller.
Mike Wright
I'M going to I lean out. He's a game time decision right now.
Jason Moore
Victor Cruz.
Andy Holloway
I say he's going to be out.
Jason Moore
And then at the tight end position. Ladari screen. Oh, looks like he's going to be in for the first time and then.
Andy Holloway
Do you have the, do you have the cajones to start him?
Jason Moore
No, I got the cajones to, I don't know, maybe put him on my bench.
Andy Holloway
I don't.
Mike Wright
I think he's worth a stash.
Andy Holloway
The problem with stashing him is that I'm stashing two tight ends. Yeah, I guess I will say this. There's a lot of barfiness to the position this year and if you, if that's been one of those positions that's destroying your team week in, week out, then then yeah, he's worth picking up and saying maybe there's a solution here to a hole on my team.
Jason Moore
Last one, Hunter Henry.
Mike Wright
He's been practicing but I mean Antonio Gates is there so I don't think it really matters.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I think he'll be active for the game. But you, I would not recommend starting him.
Jason Moore
All right, we're about to get into the rest of the matchups. The fantasy forecast before we do that, look Foot Clan, we know how to tell you about some interesting, unique, cool products and we've got a brand new one to tell you about today. Look, whether you are a Cowboys fan living in LA who wants to head home for the big game or a Redskins fan or a Patriots fan that wants to travel home and watch these games, we have a very, very cool website we want to tell you about brought to you by Skyscanner, which is the world's travel search engine. Look, they have a new URL. It's so simple, you just go to it footballflights.com footballflights.com that's it. You go there, you select your home airport and your favorite team and boom. It shows you flight prices for every single game. Look, I checked the site earlier. I couldn't believe some of the prices for flights to the Cardinals Seahawks game. So maybe spending my Christmas time in Seattle after those prices should be a big game. So if you want to join, this is cool. Just go check it out. Sky standard makes it easy to search for your teams flights. You always get the lowest price as well. So if you've ever wanted to take that road trip to see your team, check it out. Footballflights.com you always get the cheapest flights. Like I said, they have a cool feature where you can get a price alert for upcoming games so they'll notify you when prices drop. So maybe there's a certain game that's a better one to go to. So head to football flights.com right now. It is so easy to use. Go check it out. Very, very cool tool for the football fan.
Mike Wright
Footballflights.com yeah, it makes things very easy. Also want to thank I like easy.
Andy Holloway
We do.
Mike Wright
We love easy. And you know what else is easy? Pristineauction.com the best sports memorabilia place on the not on the planet in the universe. I dare say Footclan we talk about them frequently because they are the best. I'm on here every day because they have daily auctions. I want to see the cool stuff that they have available. And we're talking in a price range that you can absolutely afford. I have transformed my home office into land of the Cardinals signed jerseys. I got Patrick Peterson on my wall. I got Kurt Warner on my wall. I got David Johnson on my wall. And every look, every time I go in there, you're like, yeah, man, this feels. This feels good. I'm going to get some work done.
Jason Moore
Feels like home.
Mike Wright
Yeah, it's just a spectacular way to spruce up a place. People love to collect things from your favorite athletes. And there's more than sports available on Pristine Auction. Here's what we need to do. Foot Clan pristineauction.com P R I S T I N E auction.com make a completely free account and let them know that the fantasy footballer sent you.
Jason Moore
All right, let's get into the matchups.
Andy Holloway
Fantasy forecast.
Jason Moore
I need to bring something to your attention. You guys have to rule on this. Yesterday I made Denver my almost upset of the week. As they were two and a half point dogs to New Orleans. A user decided to tweet me and say, look, just food for thought. Vegas then already has them as an almost upset. Do I need to be picking an almost upset? Because let's be honest, when I pick an almost upset, I'm kind of trying to pick an upset. Well, that's me saying I think jamboree.
Mike Wright
Is going to be. The problem is when you, when you pick an almost upset and they upset, then you have lost because your goal is an almost upset. So you really, you can do that if you want.
Jason Moore
Here's how you lose in all circumstances with this situation.
Andy Holloway
Here is the correct thing. I think that you're picking an upset and when you pick a line that is close. If you're picking a line that's under three, what you're Saying is they're going to win the game. And that's of course what you're saying.
Jason Moore
That's basically what I'm saying.
Mike Wright
But that's not what you're supposed to be saying.
Jason Moore
It's just at this point, I'm going to go with the verified guy on it, so.
Mike Wright
Oh, do you want to do an update?
Jason Moore
Oh, yeah. Are you verified?
Mike Wright
No.
Jason Moore
Okay. That's been today's update from Mike's Twitter page. So stupid. I'm not gonna say that I love all the trolling, but I love all the trolling.
Andy Holloway
Keep it up, Foot Clan.
Jason Moore
It's really spectacular. Verifiably spectacular.
Mike Wright
I'm losing sleep.
Jason Moore
Yeah, well, I would too, if I was fake. All right, packers, take off.
Mike Wright
Do I actually need to sleep is the bigger question.
Jason Moore
You are the equivalent of Marty McFly's family in that photo. You are. You are just a mistake. I barely can see. I think I can reach right through you right now because I don't trust a thing out of your mouth.
Mike Wright
Become a specter.
Jason Moore
You've become a specter. Packers take on The Tennessee Titans, 49 and a half point over under. This is a game where obviously Vegas is buying into not only the production of Rogers, but the improved production of Mariota that we've seen over the last few weeks, expecting this game to be a high scoring affair. Do you continue to start Marcus Mariota as a fantasy option in week 10?
Andy Holloway
I do. I really like what I've seen from Marcus Mariota over the last few weeks. The only concern that I had at all was his health. You know, he was dealing with the tweaked ankle and so, you know, if he's not able to run, you know, a la what we've seen for Seattle with Russell Wilson, then I worry that maybe he loses something there a little. But I still believe he's a good start. Green Bay, their secondary has been just terrible. Both of these defenses have really taken a turn for the worse, which is why Vegas is expecting a lot of points. I'm fine starting him, but I do have slight concerns on the ankle.
Jason Moore
Isn't it interesting that if I picked Tennessee as my almost upset in this game with the exact same line, it would feel a lot more like that than when I picked Denver because I don't think Denver's been a dog dog for about 100 years.
Mike Wright
That's very fair.
Jason Moore
See, the packers keep doing okay things on offense and losing games. So I think this game is going to be very interesting. We know that the packers are great against the run, they're the number one run defense in the league. DeMarco Murray, though, you're not benching him.
Mike Wright
No.
Jason Moore
And you don't have Henry behind him this week. So it's going to be the Murray show and he catches enough passes to give you. I think he's going to have a fine game.
Mike Wright
Ask Ezekiel Elliott about that number one run defense of the Packers.
Jason Moore
Yeah, yeah. The line's going to, you know, they line up, they punch you in the mouth, take Tennessee lines, you know, they put extra offensive linemen in and they, they just run right at you. So Aaron Rodgers, can he continue his streak of high touchdown games? You know, the Titans defense is allowed 12 passing touchdowns in the red zone. That's 27th in the league. Aaron Rodgers is number one in the league for red zone touchdowns because he kind of doesn't have a running back.
Mike Wright
Yep.
Jason Moore
So.
Andy Holloway
And he's always, I mean, he's always been a touchdown throwing machine.
Jason Moore
Yeah. There's no efficiency machine.
Andy Holloway
Yes. There's no reason to think he's not going to get it done against Titans. You start him and if he's throwing touchdowns, you've got to start his weapons. You have to start. The question becomes like on time Montgomery, because Jordy Nelson, he's in. Devonte Adams, in this type of a game, I think you can start him. Randall Cobb, if he's playing, I think you start him. The question is Ty Montgomery. And I believe Andy, you were pretty confident, right?
Jason Moore
Made him my start of the week.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
So I'm confident because I think this is kind of his last hurrah. Dominating backfield snaps. You know, we talked about Starks, whether he's active or not. I think Montgomery gets a lot of work out of the backfield. I think because of the over under, he's going to have opportunities. I'm fine with Montgomery.
Andy Holloway
Okay, so you're in a deeper league.
Jason Moore
But I mean, I put him on a boat and ship him out to sea after this game.
Andy Holloway
You're in a deeper league. Vegas has this higher scoring game. Marcus Mariota is going to get some, some fantasy production done. Who is the weapon receiving those passes that you feel like you can start in a deep league? Where you go, I, I got to have someone to start.
Jason Moore
I don't get to pick Delaney Walker, right?
Andy Holloway
No, no, you got to pick a wider.
Jason Moore
I guess I pick Rashad Matthews.
Mike Wright
Yep.
Jason Moore
Because even though I don't believe he continues the touchdown streak, he has a touchdown streak. So you have to go with those numbers. So Vikings, Redskins, let's move on to this match up here. The very highly touted Cousins Bradford affair. Okay, the Redskins coming off the buy, they're favored. Is that interesting to you guys?
Mike Wright
It's. This game is. Is interesting because of the new offense that we saw from the Vikings. Norv Turner stepped down and then things really changed. If you look at Stefan Diggs, his usage completely flipped around. He became the short passes. He became a very high volume target. I want to see if that continues. You can pass on on Washington. They're right in the middle of the. Of the league, 15th and they're 26 against the run. So there will be some points scored, thankfully for the Vikings because that's. That seems to be an issue for them. When you're talking about running. Can. Can Minnesota actually run on Washington? Because if you cannot that you're not gonna be able to run on Jason.
Jason Moore
Any thoughts on that or other highlights of this game?
Andy Holloway
No, I actually think the highlight of this game is whether or not Minnesota will be able to run the ball. You've seen them be as bad as imaginable this year. However, it's been a while since they've had any kind of good positive measurement. I guess this last week was their first opportunity against Detroit to see if they could run the ball. Well, they did not. So if that, if that happens again, I think they will have to rely on those short passes. I think Stefan Diggs is okay as a, as a flex start. I don't like it really. To be frank, I don't like anyone in this game not named Jordan Reed.
Jason Moore
Stefan Diggs.
Andy Holloway
I think I'm going to leave it at Jordan Reed. Stefan Diggs is an okay. Like, hey, if you need a flex.
Jason Moore
I think I'll get peppered with targets.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. It's a matter of what Norman's doing to me.
Jason Moore
If not with pepper.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
It would be actually with targets I was imagining.
Andy Holloway
But I mean this is a game I just, I want to stay away from a little bit. You have. I think you're going to have a low scoring defensive struggle here.
Mike Wright
No love for Crowder. With desean Jackson being out.
Andy Holloway
Crowder actually would be he. I would, I would put Crowder and Diggs the same to me. They both have the opportunity to score. They both have the opportunity for a lot of small pepper.
Jason Moore
Small pepper.
Andy Holloway
Small pepper.
Jason Moore
You know what I don't like? I like. I like the really manufactured. I don't like freshly ground pepper. I like the manufactured pepper. What, like the same. Where the granules are all the same size?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, you're crazy.
Mike Wright
So when you want to know why? Because with the big stick and they do the shredding of the pepper.
Andy Holloway
Do you have any of that garbage pepper instead?
Jason Moore
I just. If you get the freshly ground, sometimes you get that bite that's just like, oh, that pepper chunk stays in your teeth for like an hour.
Andy Holloway
I would rather have that savory than the. Than the powder pepper that I inhale and accidentally get in the back of my throat. Oh, I just breathed pepper.
Jason Moore
What do you say? Good. Good. Hey, do you think that when Robert Kelly was announced the starter against Minnesota, he looked at coach and went like, come on, man. Come on, you. Because this seems like a setup. You're being set up to fail in this game and then hand it over to Jones next week. I don't think Kelly has a lot of success. If you got to start somebody, I'd rather start him than Oziada or McKinnon, to be honest with you, because I don't know who. And Hillman, I mean, you have too many cooks in the inefficient kitchen on the Minnesota side.
Mike Wright
But I will say this. The last three weeks, Minnesota is giving up at least 95 yards on the ground. Talking 96 on the ground to Detroit. 150 changing a little to Chicago, 95 to Philadelphia. I'm not afraid of Rob Kelly in this matchup.
Andy Holloway
Can you start the Redskins defense? Yes.
Mike Wright
Yes, you can. I agree at home.
Jason Moore
Yeah, that's been one of those, you know, people are asking, oh, can I play Philly this week or do I stream Washington? Stream Washington. Please do that. Don't go up against Atlanta with your Philly D and hope that they can come through. Atlanta is just on fire.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Jason Moore
Dolphins. Chargers. This game's in San Diego. Miami won a couple games. Now Chargers are favored in this one, and it's a 48 and a half point over under. You know, what are the. What are the storylines from this one in terms of starting guys? I mean, I think Gates is a locked and loaded start on the San Diego side. Gordon. Don't even talk about him. He's in your lineup.
Mike Wright
Don't you talk about Gordon.
Jason Moore
If there's a little lock button that you can just lock him in there, please do. So Philip Rivers, I feel good about starting him and this matchup, obviously.
Andy Holloway
So if you feel good about starting Philip Rivers, then I think you also have to feel good about starting Antonio Gates and Tyrell Williams.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I mean, I agree with that. Travis Benjamin might miss the game, so it'll be Williams and Inman. Last week they got about the same production, but Inman didn't score and Williams did. But Williams is the more likely guy to score with his size. So let's talk about this. The Chargers defense has allowed opponents to rush for 20 or more yards on just two their 194 carries on the year. Contrast that with Jay Ajayi, who is rushed for 10 plus on 24 of his 108 carries, which is first in the league. So Ajayi, he makes his hay by chunking off some yards here and there. The Chargers don't let that happen very often. Does the Jijayi train continue? Is he over 100 yards this week?
Andy Holloway
No, he's not over 100, but you absolutely have to start a Jijayi there. I mean, he's given you every reason to start him. He has scored touchdowns, he's gotten late runs, he's gotten big runs. There's no way you can have him on your bench. I don't think he eclipses 100 yards, but I think there's a.
Jason Moore
You're going with 200.
Andy Holloway
You know, I think he's going to have a really good game. I mean, if he has 88 yards and a touchdown, you're thrilled with that, are you?
Jason Moore
No doubt about it.
Mike Wright
Are you more concerned about the jets running defense or the charges running defense in general?
Jason Moore
Clearly the Jets.
Mike Wright
Ajay just destroyed the jets, but he.
Jason Moore
Chunked off some yards against them too.
Mike Wright
Right, But I'm just saying that I think it's.
Jason Moore
Who do you think is going to be winning this game?
Mike Wright
Ooh.
Jason Moore
Because that, that goes into the equation too. That game was a back and forth game with the Jets.
Mike Wright
I think this one can go back and forth as well.
Jason Moore
Okay, you're impressed with what Miami's been doing, changing their team to a running team.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
Not putting as much on Tannehill shoulders. You're not starting Tannehill, right?
Mike Wright
No, I'm not starting. Even in what seems like a good matchup for him. What stinks is my man Jarvis Landry just, he's not getting the volume that we're used to. When they were a pass first team and Landry was the first, second and third target in the, in the route tree and he's just. He talk about a guy who's getting peppered. I mean, he's getting, he's getting the fake pepper, he's getting the real pepper, but not anymore.
Andy Holloway
Well, what's really happened is they've changed from a pass happy team into a, into a running team. This Game might test their ability to even do that. Because like Andy was saying, if the Chargers do get out to a lead, which is kind of what my expectation is, I think the Dolphins will have to pass a little bit more and that affects that. That's why I don't think Jay ajayi gets to 100.
Jason Moore
I like Jarvis Landry to bounce back in this game. I mean, I know it's just coach speak to say he needs to get more involved, but they did come out and acknowledge that fact. And Landry's just too good the game flow. I like him as a start in this game. I'd play him as a team.
Mike Wright
Look, I'm still playing him just. And this is. Maybe this is just an overflow of recency bias, but you have, you had literally the perfect matchup last week. The jets, the best run defense in the league, the one of the worst secondaries in the league. And Jarvis Landry just did nothing. It was the JI Show.
Jason Moore
The 49ers and the Cardinals face off this week. This is by far the biggest spread in the in the league. Cardinals are 13 and a half point favorites at home.
Mike Wright
You could have called this an almost upset and if they lost by 10.
Jason Moore
It would have set it down.
Mike Wright
That's a victory.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, but you're not gonna be that stupid.
Jason Moore
No. So people want to know this week. I mean, what do I do with the wide receivers for Arizona? Because I know this is, this is. I'm now speaking for all people in the world. I know that somebody is going to have a big game, maybe two somebody's. But is it Fitzgerald? Is it Brown? Is it J.J. nelson? Is it Michael Floyd? Is it.
Andy Holloway
You just named the order. You named the order that I would start them in. Fitzgerald is an absolute must start in most games. I think John Brown is a should start. You know, he's one of those guys where you got to look at your roster and say, I've just got other great options. But in most lineups I think you should start John Brown. J.J. nelson could have a monster game. I'm probably not going to start him, not going to rely on him because is he going to be splitting time with Michael Floyd? He could be a monster, but he's just a little bit harder to trust. And then Michael Floyd could end up with a touchdown in this game. But I don't think you can start him even against the San Francisco 49ers.
Jason Moore
So a lot of questions that I've received now. We like Carson Palmer a ton this week. I know at least One of us has him in that top two, three category.
Andy Holloway
I believe he's my number one. Yeah.
Jason Moore
Okay, so it wasn't Mike, it was you. Yeah, I think he's your number one, too. But so, so you need to speak to this because there is concern. Look, the 49ers are atrocious against the run. David Johnson's kind of good at running the ball. So the narrative there is, okay, The Cardinals get out to a lead, their defense holds up. Palmer doesn't have enough time and any enough need to get the ball in the air to put it in the hands of these receivers and to have the kind of game that you would hope.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, you know, so to speak to that. I mean, there's an easy and obvious narrative where David Johnson rushes for 6,025 attempts for 200 yards and two touchdowns. And you don't even need the passing game. You're already up. You're going to, you know, the fourth quarter. You're, you're taking him out and Carson out and, you know, start your Andre Ellingtons. That narrative can happen in this game, but what we've seen in, in a lot of these 49ers games is that teams get it done both on the ground and through the air. David Johnson is just as likely to take a screen to the house, which would help Carson Palmer as he is to take it between the tackles up the middle. And, you know, you're still a team that needs to figure out the passing game for the Arizona Cardinals. And I think this is one of those games where you might want to set your team up to get a little bit of mojo back as opposed to just, hey, we got to grind out this win against San Francisco.
Jason Moore
Okay, look, I can get behind that Cardinals defense. However, they're third against the pass, 16th against the run. This game's at home. They're coming off a by, you know, they should be ready to play. You know, Kaepernick had a monster game last week. I don't think anybody's tempted to start him.
Mike Wright
No.
Jason Moore
But the real question is, is basically dejuan Harris or Carlos Hyde, whoever's starting for San Francisco, how confident are you rolling them out there?
Andy Holloway
I'm pretty confident.
Mike Wright
Volume.
Jason Moore
Volume.
Mike Wright
I'm very confident in the volume. Whoever is the guy we saw that Djuan Harris was a three down back. Carlos Hyde has been treated that way as well. They are likely to be very inefficient. The scoring opportunity is. It still exists, but it's lower. But because of that volume, they're, they're fine as a low end running back too.
Andy Holloway
And I would, you know, I'm hoping that Hyde is out for fantasy purposes because I think Harris is the better matchup for the Arizona Cardinals. Because if you are down and you have to pass, you know, Carlos Hyde.
Jason Moore
The skill set.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
If Hyde's in there, you're going to see Harris in on third down.
Andy Holloway
Harris last week had five receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown. Through the air. That's more.
Jason Moore
Is that how receptions work? Yes, through the air most of the time.
Andy Holloway
I'm just specifying that the touchdown was also through the air. The touchdown was, was.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I got that with the reception part.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Well, I'm just saying.
Jason Moore
No. 5 reception for 80 and a touchdown.
Andy Holloway
And a touchdown. I'm saying the touchdown was also a receiving touchdown.
Jason Moore
Sure. From the, from the reception.
Mike Wright
You weren't mentioning the rushing stats at all.
Jason Moore
I'm not letting it. I want to keep this going for another 20 minutes.
Andy Holloway
My point is Arizona, I think if they get up, you're going to see a team that's going to have to pass the ball in the 49ers and Carlos Hyde, that's not his skill set to be a very. He can, he can get it done. And if he's in there, I think he probably ends up with, you know, four for 40. Through the air.
Jason Moore
Look, if I'm, if I'm tossing my baby across the room, I want Duan Harris catching him, not. Not Carlos Hyde.
Andy Holloway
There you go.
Jason Moore
And that's really the highest price.
Andy Holloway
Don't toss your baby across.
Jason Moore
Sure. That wouldn't be. I hesitated before I said that. But it's very important to make that point. All right. We've got at least three games to go through or three more to go through and the daily dose. So let's move into the Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers, also known as Big Ben's at home. They're two and a half point favorites. A 50 point over under. Look, this game has all the makings of a dog fight and a high scoring one at that. You're starting Big Ben. You're starting Lev Bell, you're starting Antonio Brown. How do you feel about Sammy Coates, Mike?
Mike Wright
I feel okay.
Jason Moore
I mean after his gooser, you were like, I like that zero. I like what I saw.
Mike Wright
Look, coats is a very all or nothing type of play. So which is the way that I play Fantasy, that's perfect for my flex spot. I will do that. I like to have the rock solid guys and then have coats or process one.
Jason Moore
I'll go code in your flex.
Andy Holloway
I would go coats, coats.
Jason Moore
Or J.J. nelson in your flex.
Andy Holloway
J.J. nelson.
Mike Wright
That's tough. I might go Nelson, but that's very.
Jason Moore
That's a very tough call. Okay, so all or nothing with coach does have the potential at home to have a big game. I know last week he was these, I think, the second highest player with yards left on the field. So he was targeted. Just didn't connect. And you know how big Ben is coming off of injuries and being on the road. You mix those together and you got that mess that you had last week. Other side of the ball. You're starting Zeke. He's locked and loaded.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
DEZ Bryant.
Mike Wright
I love him. I love. I love the number two receiver this week.
Jason Moore
How about Jason Whitten? Is he moving out of the Barfee tight ends with that big old performance? No, that's just the Cleveland asterisks.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
All right, and then Dak Prescott. Does he get the Cleveland asterisks or do you start him?
Andy Holloway
I am absolutely starting Dak. I have. I have full confidence in Dak as a fantasy starter this week. And this isn't a game where I kind of. I hope I'm wrong, but I kind of disagree with Vegas. Vegas has this very high scoring game. I could see this game being more of the low scoring dog fight. He disagrees with Vegas, and I hope I'm wrong, but I am very confident in Dak Prescott right now. I have no fears or qualms starting him in A plus matchup. I'm not, you know, starting him against the Broncos, but with the Steelers, who have the ability to score and have given up big games through the air. I'm absolutely fine starting Dak.
Mike Wright
Does Le'Veon Bell score this week?
Jason Moore
Levy. And Bell gets back on track this week. That's my official. That's your position. Position. Yeah. Through the air. All right. The Seahawks, Patriots, the Sunday night football game. Russell Wilson.
Mike Wright
Oh, by the way, you, of course, start Dallas's number one wide receiver.
Jason Moore
No. Come on.
Mike Wright
Cole Beasley.
Jason Moore
You would start Cole Beasley. I would not.
Mike Wright
You wouldn't start him in a 50 point over under.
Andy Holloway
I disagree.
Mike Wright
Here's the deal. You have disagreed on starting Beasley every single week.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I was. And when I said I disagree. When I said I disagree, just for clarity here, I disagree.
Jason Moore
It was with me, Andy. All right, what is start. What does starting him mean?
Andy Holloway
Starting him means that if you're in a half point or a full point ppr, you could pretty much get locked, locked, and loaded. Double digit points. Yes. And so that is probably fine.
Jason Moore
I'm very prone to infection. I don't want the beesels around me. But I understand the need. The, the best you get inoculated.
Mike Wright
I got on Twitter was because we were talking about how do you get the cure for, for the beesels and they say, well, you get a shot of desicillin.
Jason Moore
Ah, yeah. Well, we'll see if you, if that comes through.
Mike Wright
All right, Jason.
Jason Moore
Jason's super impressed with that joke. Yeah, no, not so much. All right. Winners Patriots. Yeah. You missed him bringing back goat size yesterday.
Andy Holloway
Oh, don't.
Jason Moore
And by missed, I mean didn't miss.
Andy Holloway
And I'm glad you cut that out of the show.
Jason Moore
I couldn't. Couldn't do it. Can't win with them. Can't play with him.
Mike Wright
Look, he's coming.
Jason Moore
All right. Speaking of which, Seahawks, Patriots in New England Patriots, seven and a half point favorites. Really says a lot about, you know, the Seahawks are obviously a winning team, a division leading team, a team that looked pretty good this past week. Patriots still seven and a half point favorites at home. Coming off the by 49 point over under Russell Wilson. Do you buy back in or is this regression?
Mike Wright
Oh man, I'm.
Jason Moore
Because I don't buy, I don't buy this week.
Mike Wright
I'm not starting this week.
Jason Moore
Russell Wilson, Jay Cutler this week.
Andy Holloway
That's a very good question. I'm going to go with Russell Wilson because the one thing that I do think Russell Wilson does is he does what is necessary and what I mean there is if they are down, if I expect New England to be able to score on that Seattle Seahawks defense. Most teams this year have not been able to really rally up the points and you haven't seen him have to really be used in a I've got to score two more touchdowns type of manner with Russell Wilson if they're in that situation, I think he's going to be an okay start. I don't love him. I'm not saying, you know, he's locked and loaded top five quarterback, but I think the Patriots offense is what is going to allow us to play Russell Wilson and get enough done. Because at that end of the game when Russell Wilson has to go 80 yards, you know he's going to do it. That's how I feel.
Chris Meaney
Okay.
Jason Moore
All right.
Mike Wright
C.J.
Jason Moore
Pro size. Christine Michael, who would you rather start?
Mike Wright
I'll start process.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I would start process as well.
Jason Moore
So humble Mike. That's good to hear. Baldwin Lockett.
Mike Wright
Sorry, I'll start goat size.
Jason Moore
Okay. When Are you taking a day off next week? Okay, good, good. I mean, so next week. Just so you know, the show's completely verified next week.
Mike Wright
100% verified until I'm phoning in.
Jason Moore
Do they let you. We're getting those. Those verification stamps right on our IDs so that people. All right, Jimmy Graham, Big week last week.
Mike Wright
So stupid.
Jason Moore
I know you are, but what am I.
Andy Holloway
What was.
Jason Moore
I don't know what that was. By the way, shout out to all the three, two, one contact lovers out there. I really enjoyed my Twitter page yesterday. That was. That was great. All right, I've gotten lost, guys.
Andy Holloway
Did we say start Jimmy Graham? Start Gronk.
Jason Moore
Yeah, you start Graham and Gronk. People want to know what to do with Edelman. I mean, look, I think I play him. I mean, I don't have a problem playing him in this game.
Mike Wright
The Patriots. All right. I'm sorry. The Seahawks are susceptible to slot receivers. I'm not afraid of starting Julian Edelman this week.
Jason Moore
Okay. All right, well.
Andy Holloway
And Doug Baldwin, he's.
Mike Wright
Well, I mean, you love Russell Wilson, so you would have to love.
Andy Holloway
No, I wanted to know what you guys think. I think Doug Baldwin is a wide receiver, too. This week.
Mike Wright
Yeah, he's on that. Two, three.
Jason Moore
Do you start LeGarrett blunt? And what does that mean if you're starting him? Because, let me see where we have him this week.
Mike Wright
If you're starting him, you really hope that he scores a touchdown.
Jason Moore
So LeGarrett Blunt, this week, we have him as the consensus 19.
Mike Wright
Oh, that's high.
Andy Holloway
I think that's right about where he.
Jason Moore
Belongs because, well, it's, you know, Blunt or Geo. Against New York, He's Geo. Okay. Blunt or take Blunt. Blunt or Ivory against Houston?
Andy Holloway
Blunt for sure.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I want to.
Jason Moore
I mean, Blunt over. You take Blunt over Pro size and Michael, in this game, yes, if I'm.
Andy Holloway
In a full ppr, I would probably.
Mike Wright
Take pro size in the scoring opportunity, but I'm telling you, this is. Dion Lewis is. We're cautionary on Lewis, but those eight to 10 carries that Lewis can start getting, that's trouble. If he gets five carries, that's trouble. Let's say. Let's say Lewis gets five carries. James White gets four to five carries.
Jason Moore
Can we not pretend that Blunt makes his hay on carries, though?
Mike Wright
But he. You have to get. You have to get a volume. You have to get a. A momentum going.
Jason Moore
He has to score, man. That's what he's been doing. Nine touchdowns this year.
Mike Wright
LeGarrett Blunt is in the same vein as Peterson, where you see a whole bunch of carries early of him getting absolutely nothing done because he's wearing the defense down, he's beating people up.
Jason Moore
So last year that's exactly what I was looking at. You're looking at Lewis carry total?
Andy Holloway
No, I'm looking at the split of Legarett Blunt in games when Dion Lewis played and in games when Lewis did not play, when Dion Lewis was not in the game. LeGarrett blunt averaged last year in six games 5.98 fantasy points per game with Dion Lewis in the game was 14.45 points. The offense was moving. The offense was better with Dion Lewis in there. That's, you know, I mean, if you look at the touchdowns, you know you've got more opportunity for touchdowns in a game where your offense is doing.
Jason Moore
I mean, Lewis's carry counts with, with Blunt last year, 6, 4, 5 4. It's not that. It's not as big as we think.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. And the rushing touchdown number is really the difference. In the six games that Dion Lewis played, he had 13 or I'm sorry, he averaged 0.8 touchdowns per game.
Jason Moore
Yeah, two. He had two last year on the ground, but he had two through the air. So.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Okay, interesting.
Jason Moore
Anyways, there's the breakdown there. We've got to move on. We've got to move on. Let's talk about the Bengals and the Giants. A pick them game on Monday Night Football. I don't know who's going to win this game and I guess Vegas doesn't either. 47 and a half point over under Eli Manning. What was the comparison you made about Eli Manning?
Mike Wright
That he is nitroglycerin.
Jason Moore
Yeah. You just don't know when you're going to.
Mike Wright
Well, it's very, very useful, but it could also destroy you.
Jason Moore
Yeah. What do you think about, I mean, Dalton or Manning facing off in this game? Both are streaming options for teams with an Andrew Luck on by. For example, do you start Dalton? You start Manning. If you had to choose between the.
Mike Wright
Two, I would start Dalton.
Jason Moore
Okay.
Mike Wright
But it's funny because, I mean, you're talking similar situation.
Jason Moore
Very similar.
Mike Wright
Both pass defenses, both have a big wide receiver, an elite level wide receiver, but Andy Dalton has an elite level tight end. So that's.
Jason Moore
And a better first name. That's my objectively.
Mike Wright
That's my tiebreaker. Yeah.
Andy Holloway
This is a game that I really, I really like most all players in this game. Things can get crazy on Monday Night Football and considering how boring most of the Monday Night Football games have been this year. It's a little scary, but I actually think, look, the Bengals defense, one of the things we've had to come to terms with is that they're not that good this year. They've given up just a lot of plays that I haven't seen them given up in, you know, the previous three seasons. And it's happened so consistently week in, week out that I don't see a reason to think this is the week that the Bengals defense is really going to get it together and lock the Giants down. And if that's the case, then this could be both offenses have the firepower to score on the opposing defenses. This could be a fun game to have fantasy options. Dalton, to me, is safer. Eli Manning always has those giant upside games because if Odell Beckham has 202.
Jason Moore
Part of the equation, too, is just the Giants run defense has been pretty darn good this year. And it's been a long time since I've seen these numbers. Bengals 23rd against the run, 21st against the pass. It's just kind of not been what you expect from a Bengals front line. Not that those numbers are going to benefit the Rashad Jennings, Paul Perkins, whoever else rotation. But, you know, Perkins is that Dixon light right now. For me, he's that I have a chance to be the future of a franchise, and if I am more efficient, I'm going to start getting more carries. He definitely they dropped the screenplay for Perkins. I think if you need a desperate play, I'd rather play Perkins over a lot of guys this week. So you're starting Eifert locked and loaded. Love him.
Mike Wright
Perkins or Sammy Coates asking for a friend?
Jason Moore
Perkins or Sammy Coates that, you know, if you need, if you're favored in.
Mike Wright
A half point PPR situation, that the scoring format is very similar to our league.
Jason Moore
Yeah, yeah. If you're favored, I'm playing Paul Perkins for the guaranteed points. If you need 20 or the chance for 20, I don't think it's there with Perkins.
Andy Holloway
And if it's just an even matchup and you can't make the determination, I would expect coats. I would rather have coats than Perkins.
Jason Moore
Okay, well, how many Perkins. How many Perkins did he have? Yeah, how many carries did Perkins have last week?
Mike Wright
I believe it was 11. I think that Jennings and Perkins had 11 each.
Jason Moore
Gonna be very interesting.
Mike Wright
So really, am I wrong about it?
Jason Moore
I don't know. I think you're right. I think you're right.
Mike Wright
It might have been 11 touches.
Andy Holloway
That would make more sense because I thought he had.
Jason Moore
But I will get 7.3 fantasy points in our league format last week with 11 carries. 1111 not touches carries and three catches. So I look, I like you said I like him. I think it's an interesting play this week against the defense. It just. It still sounds like it's going to be great and it's just not. Not this year. So we're going to move on now to talk with Chris Meaney himself for the Daily Dose. Give you some FanDuel knowledge this week, help you prepare for the weekend matchups and some good plays. Let's do that right now.
Andy Holloway
The Daily Dose.
Mike Wright
The fantasy footballers are excited to bring back Chris Meaney. The DFS machiney getting it done with the FanDuel picks every single week. How are you doing today, my friend?
Chris Meaney
Doing good, man. Thanks again as always for having me. Looking forward to it, man. Not a lot of weeks left for football. It's depressing a bit.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
I mean, we're in the double digits. It feels like we're coming down the stretch here. I mean, we still have, you know, seven weeks and then some playoffs. So it's. Don't shed the tears just yet because there's still some time left. There's still some cash that can be won over at FanDuel. So let's start with the quarterback position. How are you approaching it this week?
Chris Meaney
There's a couple guys that you could maybe just pay down for. But I mean, every week with Tom Brady, I just want to him. I just always want to play him. And then he's down in price a little bit because he's playing Seattle, but they're coming off a buy. You know, Tyrod Taylor was able to put up 20 plus FanDuel points last week against Seattle, and that was in Seattle. I know he moves around a lot, but I like Tom Brady at 8, 300. Aaron Rodgers, I get it. Like, this guy throws the ball a lot. Maybe James Starks plays in this game. Maybe they run a little bit more. But Tom Brady for me at 8, 300. Matt Ryan's been awesome, but I actually think, you know, that Jim Schwartz defense in Philadelphia has been pretty good. He could struggle a little bit in this football game. So I'm a little bit down on him. Just moving down the list in terms of pricing. You could roll the dice on Simeon if you want. I don't love it. $7,200 in New Orleans. If that game's going to be a bit of a shootout, who knows? Denver, great defense. So I'm kind of Shying away from that. Even though a lot of people are talking about that being a high pick. I think Carson Wentz, if this game does turn into a shootout of $6,800, you can certainly play him. I know that Philadelphia wants to run the ball a little bit more. That would involve actually Ryan Matthews getting on the football field. It doesn't seem to be the case lately. So Wentz is taking some more, some deeper shots. I like him. And jay cutler at $7,000 price. Yeah, going up against Tampa, that whole division, they give up a lot of yards, they give up a lot of points to quarterbacks, they give up a lot of points to receivers. So a Jake Cutler at $7,000. I don't think it's a bad play this weekend.
Mike Wright
We don't disagree. We did or we do our weekly starts of the week. In between the three of us, I think we're starting the entire Chicago offense from top to bottom. So I'm glad you, I'm glad you're on board with smoking Jay Cudi this week. What are you looking at for running back? Speaking of the Bears, like Jordan Howard, does he have interest to you this week?
Chris Meaney
Yeah, Jordan Howard definitely does. I think we, we saw last week that he is definitely the most talented back in that backfield among the three guys with Kadeem Carey and, and Langford. And I don't really care about either of those two. So yeah, Howard is, is a guy. I mean look what he did last time we saw him on the football field. This, what, 30 touches. He was all over the place. So I like him a lot. I have no problems, of course, playing up for David Johnson, but understand that the ownership is probably going to be pretty high if you're going to go in a head to head or 50, 50 or double ups. Most likely everyone in that contest is going to have David Johnson. But I mean it's not going to hurt you if you have them. The Saints are just, or the 49ers rather. Just giving up a lot to running backs, a lot to everybody. And I actually don't mind Palmer, David Johnson, Fitzgerald, we'll get to wide receivers a little bit. I actually don't mind stacking Arizona in this football game. They should be able to score some points. Zeke Elliott, again, another great matchup against Pittsburgh. He's been fantastic going down the list. I mean, we talked a little bit about Denver. Maybe people are going to be out on Booker because he didn't do anything and then Capri begs. Everyone wants to talk about him. But this is Another opportunity for Booker and he could be just lowly owned in this contest. So I'm looking at him a lot as well. And again, just going down the list here, running backs, there's just not a lot of people that jump out at me. But I'm willing to roll the dice actually on Chris Ivory. Houston, they're really good against quarterbacks. Against wide receivers, Ivory hasn't really done anything all year. Last week was his best week. He probably got burned. That was actually a touchdown last week. I think they're going to be able to run the ball a little bit on Houston. So I would trust Ivory, maybe in a gpp, in a big tournament, but not in a cash play. But I think he can provide some value at his cost. I believe he's like 5,400 bucks.
Mike Wright
All right, let's move over to wide receivers. You mentioned Larry Fitzgerald, possibly the goat of Arizona. Is there anybody else you're looking at? J.J. nelson. Does he have interest to you?
Chris Meaney
Oh, yeah, J.J. nelson, big time. A lot of interest to me. He's only $5,600. This guy's been heavily targeted the past couple games. Floyd has really taken a seat, a back seat. And the last time we saw him, 12 targets, eight receptions. This is JJ, 79 yards, two touchdowns. The week before that, he had seven targets and 84 receiving yards. Big on him. We talked about Chicago and Cutler. Why not play El Sean Jeffrey in this matchup? He's $7200. Mike Evans. Roll him out all the time if you can afford him. $8,500. He's always like one or two in terms of targets. Keep an eye on the situation in Green Bay if Cobb doesn't play. Devonte Adams is just a touchdown machine this year. Even though he didn't get targeted a lot in the last game against the Colts, he still found the end zone. He was successful in my fantasy pros contest even though he didn't do a whole lot. As I mentioned, he's still a guy that you can lean on. And I actually don't mind being a little bit contrarian here with some of these Saints receivers that people are going to shy away from. Drew Brees is good at home. I know it's Denver. No Talib in this game. I have no problem with Michael Thomas at $6,400. He passed the test earlier in the year against the Seahawks. He had six targets, six grabs. I think he can get behind him. And then again with this Philadelphia passing attack. Jordan Matthews at $5,900. If this game is indeed going to be a shootout. Atlanta scoring more points than anyone. They're also allowing 28 points per game. Not doing well against quarterbacks. Giving up the most fantasy points against quarterbacks and the most fantasy points against wide receivers. So I have no problem targeting Jordan Matthews in this game.
Mike Wright
All right, strap on the clothespin on the nose, put on the safety shoes. We're going to wade into the tight ends. Do you. Are you paying up for Gronk against Seattle or are you taking a chance on someone else?
Jason Moore
Yeah, I'm paying up.
Chris Meaney
You know, it's funny, we were talking about like, no Gronk, no Reed, no Miller, no effort last week. It was 12 different tight ends caught a touchdown last week, which is pretty crazy. Some of the guys who did good, like Ebron and Ertz, who had productive days, didn't find the end zone. I'm going to go back to Ertz and this Philadelphia passing attack. I think there's something there in this game. Gronk, certainly a no brainer. You want to pay up for him? Travis Kelce, Sure. But you're right. I mean, it's just, it's hard to trust any of these tight ends. I mean, Jason Whitten was great last week, but it was a great matchup, so I'm kind of shying away from that. But Zach Miller, again, if you want to stack Chicago, I think you can get away with this. Cutler is cheap. Zach Miller has been a beast this year, even though he's only had three touchdowns. He's been very productive, heavily targeted. And Elshon Jeffrey. I have no problem stacking teams. A lot of people don't want to do that. They don't want to go all in. But I think this is an opportunity for Chicago to score some points.
Mike Wright
All right, let's run through some defenses. I mean, the normal, you pay up for Seattle, but you can't possibly pay up for Seattle against the great Tom Brady, can you?
Chris Meaney
No, I'm not. No part of it for me. $4,500. Yeah, maybe Sherman gets one interception. I don't care. Yeah, you're right. It's the great Tom Brady. They just, they're scoring at will, they're coming off a buy. You know, they're just prepared. So I'm not going to pay for them. I might have a one lineup which is just all Arizona guys, and I have no problem with that. $5,200 for the Cardinals. You know, we like to pick on the Jags a lot, so Houston could be okay. Maybe, you know, I've talked about some of the struggles opposing quarterbacks and wide receivers have had against Houston's defense. So them. And you know what, the Chargers are a team that has a lot of takeaways. 8.3 FanDuel points per game. It doesn't blow you away, but in terms of just everybody who's playing this weekend, you look at it and they're a top seven defense. They have the second most interceptions, the second most fumble recoveries. They that you can throw on them and you don't think that they're a great defense, but at $4,600, that's basically the cheapest that you can go. I think maybe that they can just, maybe they can get a couple turnovers from Tanner even though they're running the ball a little bit. It could be a sneaky under the radar defense to play. But my, my money is going to go on Arizona. I just want them a lot in all my lineups.
Mike Wright
