Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast, coming to you from the fantasyjocks.com studios with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
Andy Holloway
Let's have a show.
Jason Moore
Okay.
Andy Holloway
You cool with that?
Mike Wright
I am, I am, I guess.
Jason Moore
I guess.
Andy Holloway
Hey, how you doing? I thought that was the voice of public opinion for a second, but. But, Andy, I'm still in it. The we need a butt Andy shirt.
Jason Moore
Why? That's. We.
Andy Holloway
We should get a butt Andy shirt. Some people say that. I get that a lot on Twitter now, so thank you. Thank you for that. Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast. Mike the fantasy hitman, right, is here.
Mike Wright
I'm in the he's house.
Andy Holloway
You're so hip. Jason Moore is here.
Jason Moore
Howdy.
Andy Holloway
He's from Westworld. And I am Andy Holloway. We are the Fantasy Footballers. And we're back again on this Tuesday episode filled with waiver wire fun. Did you guys enjoy last night's football program?
Mike Wright
I thought it was a great game.
Andy Holloway
Talk about it. That collapse of special teams. Oh, reminiscent of our Cardinals for the.
Mike Wright
For the Pats.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, the back to back fumbles just changing the entirety of the way that game went.
Mike Wright
I just, I thought it was a great game. And I was. I was shocked by Brady's numbers at the end. You know, you're watching. I'm not. I wasn't. I was watching on tape delay. So I'm kind of doing the. The fast forward in between plays over the commercials. So I'm not tracking stats or anything. Watching the game, you think, oh, he's having a. He's having a pretty solid game. Then you have the Chris Hogan 80 yard touchdown. Oh, that's. That's nice for the numbers. All of a sudden he's over 400 yards.
Jason Moore
Yeah. I needed him to be under 10.
Andy Holloway
Fantasy points to win one of your leagues.
Mike Wright
That did not happen.
Andy Holloway
I'm proud to say I beat you, Mike, in the listener league.
Mike Wright
You did.
Andy Holloway
And I'm moving on.
Mike Wright
And I was Because I'm watching on the delay. You were, you were taunting me a little bit. Towards the beginning, I was down by three points. And then the back to back fumbles happened.
Andy Holloway
And the sacks.
Mike Wright
Yeah, back to back sacks and the end zone interception as well.
Andy Holloway
And I thought Mike was dependent on the Baltimore defense.
Mike Wright
I thought there was an actual chance that I won. But then the yardage would surprise me. Also destroyed the defense.
Andy Holloway
Yesterday a listener wrote in and they said, hey, I need 12 points. Should I go with Edelman or Malcolm Mitchell in a standard league? And we looked at the numbers and Edelman had only gone over 12 in a standard League One time this year. Mitchell had already done it twice.
Jason Moore
So we said twice in the last three weeks.
Andy Holloway
We said Mitchell. But Jason did say at the last minute in the studio, here he goes. I wonder if Chris Hogan's the actual guy with the best shot of surpassing 12 in standard. And he was. He ended up with five for 129 and a touchdown. The majority of that on the 79 yard touchdown. James White had a, had a day through the air, three for 81. And you know, LeGarrett Blunt keeps scoring touchdowns.
Mike Wright
You can't stop LeGarre Blunt right now. Possible.
Andy Holloway
No, I mean 14 touch, please stack.
Jason Moore
The box against Tom Brady.
Mike Wright
Yeah. The number one defense, eight. That didn't work out.
Andy Holloway
Eight receptions for Kenneth Dixon to go with 11 attempts out snap Terrence west by a lot.
Mike Wright
Yep, that's. I mean, we can jump into that if you want to right now because people are asking, okay, Dixon, he's the guy that was, that was the guy that we had hoped to see all year when we were saying, hey, you know, Dixon, he could take control of this backfield of, of all the running backs coming in in the rookie class. His tape, I mean, of course Elliott was, was fantastic, but Dixon's tape was, was great and he had an awesome opportunity. However, I am cautious about this game. Script dictated Kenneth Dixon be the guy. He's the better pass catcher. They use him in that. He wasn't unbelievable. His efficiency was okay. He ended up with a great fantasy game. But this is not an automatic. Okay. Next week Kenneth Dixon is going to be 65% of the snaps.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I mean, Dennis Pitta let people down last night. Didn't do much. A lot of those underneath passes went to Dixon. Like you said, he was in the game. If it was west in the game, he would have had those underneath passes too. Today's show, we have the waiver wire. We have news and notes. We have full Stream ahead. So it is a jam packed, great episode. Check out twitter @the ff ballers if you want to follow us on there. The website is thefantasyfootballers.com and as always, we want to remind you about our year round fantasy football community over@jointhefoot.com we have thousands of people over there, dedicated listeners of the show. They know their stuff. They're great to bounce questions off of. Trade questions, dynasty, join leagues with them. Commissioner questions. Yeah, how do you can actually join foot clan leagues? So you get access to that@jointhefoot.com and we're over there answering questions. It's a great time and it's great all year long. So otherwise follow us and check us out on YouTube. You can subscribe and review the show on itunes. That helps us out as well. I did want to, before we get into the news, jump into a few close wins and bad beats. So we had a few tweets on Twitter about both close wins and bad beats. Wanted to share a few of them. These are always interesting to hear at this time of year. This first one comes in from Ian Burgess. He says it was a 4 versus 5 seed plugged in Hogan from the waivers on the at the last minute. Down by 21 by two points and the four seed was his sister.
Jason Moore
Oh, that's gonna feel good for that guy.
Andy Holloway
Talk took down the. Took down the blood.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I like this. This. We kind of glossed over this guy and we got called out on Twitter. This one comes in from Ryan Sanity. I needed two points from DEZ Bryant on Sunday night Football.
Jason Moore
How that, how'd that work out? Oh, my goodness. And he after the game he needed four points from someone else.
Andy Holloway
That's painful. That is painful. Kyle lost on the last play of the game with Blunt getting two yards.
Jason Moore
On the fourth down carry.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Which was the fourth down carry to me was crazy call.
Mike Wright
I loved it.
Andy Holloway
Let's see here. Malcolm Mitchell and Justin Tucker got me back into the running for a Foot Clan title.
Mike Wright
Excellent, Boom Boom. Excellent. Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Tucker well, really good with the beginning.
Mike Wright
Of the game though. It looked like look terrible. Even Boom boom was not immune to the week 14 madness.
Jason Moore
But he was. He pulled it out.
Andy Holloway
Boom Boom was immune. Maybe he's going to be my franchise player. Yes, please. In our dynasty league. Juan on Twitter says he lost yesterday by 2.4 points.
Jason Moore
Would.
Andy Holloway
Would have won if not for the blocked field goal in last night's game.
Jason Moore
Oh, that there's the anti Boom Boom right there.
Andy Holloway
That's doom. Doom.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Is what that is. Came back from 27 points down. Bart at Bargo s bargos first try. Came back from 27 down with Dixon and Mitchell leading the way. Thanks for the early pickup advice. It's good to hear.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
This one from Garrett in South Carolina. Not a question, but I played against my dad this week and he had Bell and the Atlanta defense.
Mike Wright
Wow.
Andy Holloway
We traded demarco Murray and Kelvin Benjamin second week of the season. I received Murray. Laughed at my dad the whole season. But now he has the last laugh, knocking me out of the playoffs. You guys are awesome. Listen every day.
Mike Wright
Old man strength. Do not doubt it.
Andy Holloway
Edelman got me a one point win with his catch just before the two minute warning. He had 15 targets but only seven catches.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Come on, Brady.
Andy Holloway
They're not on the same page.
Mike Wright
Let's get this together.
Andy Holloway
Last one here, guys. This is. This will lead us into the news. OB Dugs. I won by 0.7 points thanks to Jeff Fisher's decision to run Gurley for the last two plays of the game. Put LA Rams over 300 yards, reducing the Atlanta defensive score. Jeff Fisher.
Mike Wright
Oh, that does lead into some news. Did something happen?
Jason Moore
News and notes from around the league.
Andy Holloway
Now listen, you guys know if you're listening out there, you've been listening to the show. You know, we try to stay on top of every bit of news. We've got duet hundreds of reporters out in the field, right?
Mike Wright
Hundreds at least.
Jason Moore
Little birds. Little birds everywhere.
Andy Holloway
Little birds. Now, Jason, I don't even know this. Do we have somebody that managed to.
Mike Wright
Actually, I tweeted out about it yesterday.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Everyone's been waiting to hear my reaction after my epic rant against Jeff Fisher. I am sad in many different ways that he's gone, but because this was so integral to our show, we actually took our man Brooks and we sent him down to practice today to see. And we have some audio down to St. Louis.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I mean, down to LA. Down to LA.
Jason Moore
Down to LA. And we had some audio from their locker room.
Andy Holloway
Let me see if I can patch it in.
Jason Moore
Yeah, yeah. They gonna be a silver. Come on. Oh, it was.
Mike Wright
Sorry.
Andy Holloway
Was Eric Dickerson there?
Jason Moore
Yeah, there. He's the one singing right now.
Mike Wright
He's on the BGBS right now, actual.
Andy Holloway
So that was live?
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Is that still going on?
Jason Moore
Oh, yeah. If you. If you just look at the live cam, there's just streamers and going. People running around in their underwear.
Mike Wright
You think Mardi Gras is an event?
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
You haven't seen a LA Rams, Jeff. This is Fired.
Andy Holloway
Jeff Fisher's been fired.
Jason Moore
Jeff Fisher has been fired. So many, so many conflicting thoughts. I mean really. Oh yeah. Because now the jokes are gone. The harsh treatment of his name is gone.
Mike Wright
As an Arizona Cardinal fan.
Jason Moore
Oh, that's. I'm actually sad because the Rams have a great team. They have enough.
Andy Holloway
They do have a lot of talent.
Jason Moore
To get the job done. I liked them always being.500. This is good news for Todd Gurley. Future wise, dynasty wise. I don't think there's going to be huge changes this year where we see their offense come alive but certainly can't get worse. So. So it could be an improvement this season, but I think long term it's really good news for all maybe a couple of years.
Andy Holloway
He was three days short of becoming the losing his coach in NFL history, right?
Jason Moore
That's right.
Andy Holloway
They play on Thursday, Thursday night against the Seahawks. So that would have happened.
Jason Moore
Well, he still is the losing his coach in history. He's tied for it. But it took him. His efficiency at that was incredible. It took him far less total games to get there.
Andy Holloway
It is good for the long term health of that team and Todd Gurley. All right. Ryan Tannehill, sprained ACL and mcl. Did not tear it. We'll get a second opinion to confirm. He doesn't need surgery though.
Jason Moore
Still still gonna be out a little while.
Mike Wright
I don't like having to get a second opinion on it though.
Andy Holloway
No, no. Here Mike McCoy talked about Melvin Gordon. What's the latest there day to day?
Mike Wright
He has a. He has a knee sprain and a hip sprain. I would not expect him next week, which is unfortunate for those still alive in the fantasy playoffs if you survived that, that debacle. However, the, the reports, you know, Kenneth Farrow is the guy. We'll talk about him.
Andy Holloway
They didn't like his pass pickup. Well, neither did Phil Rivers lack thereof.
Mike Wright
But there's the talk that Kenneth Farrow and Ronnie Hillman will platoon. I would still expect Kenneth Farrow to be the.
Andy Holloway
Is there a chance that Ronnie Hillman actually plays for every franchise this year?
Mike Wright
We're working on it.
Andy Holloway
Working on it. Where are we at now? Darren Sprouls is in concussion protocol and.
Mike Wright
Wendell Smallwood's on the ir.
Andy Holloway
Okay.
Jason Moore
Can we believe in Ryan Matthews again, Barner?
Mike Wright
Yeah, probably. But no, it does look like Ryan.
Jason Moore
Matthews is a legitimate play this week if things continue as they're trending.
Andy Holloway
Vance McDonald on the IR.
Mike Wright
Hey, look, Vance McDonald. Sometimes things, sometimes good things happen. Vance McDonald gets the cheddar, gets. Gets the cheese.
Andy Holloway
Five years, $35 million.
Mike Wright
Next day goes out to the IR. But tip of the cap to you, Vance McDonald for getting paid. Well, speaking of paid, I believe it's the Rams owe Jeff Fisher, like, $14 million. So for those who are.
Andy Holloway
Poor guy.
Mike Wright
Hey, don't take a layoff with $14 million.
Jason Moore
You were saying yesterday be just fine.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Back to Montana he goes.
Mike Wright
He's gonna buy Montana actually for $14 million.
Jason Moore
It doesn't cost that much, Mike.
Andy Holloway
This guy may have a smaller paycheck next year. Michael Floyd was arrested on a DUI charge.
Jason Moore
Oof. And keep in mind, this is his second in college. He was arrested on a dui, got suspended indefinitely, and was an issue coming into the NFL. Obviously, he struggled this season. He's had a battle with alcohol problems. So going forward certainly does not help his case. You could probably see the Cardinals, you know, kind of keeping him away from team activities. That hasn't been made official, but I could see that happening. And then. Yeah, next year, if you're talking dynasty, as Michael Floyd's in a contract year, certainly not the great offseason signing, he'll.
Mike Wright
Still get picked up.
Jason Moore
Oh, he will. Mohammed Sanu got paid.
Andy Holloway
What do you read into about this Adrian Peterson news? He plans to practice this week, hopes to play in Week 16 against the Packers. His quote said, my plan and my vision is to be back for the Green Bay game. But then he said, of course, the perfect scenario is we went out and I'm able to rest up for three weeks and be ready for the playoffs.
Mike Wright
I hope if I'm. If I'm in the fantasy championship, I hope my opponent picks up Adrian Peterson and says, this one's for the. This is the glory play. This is for all the marbles. And they play Adrian Peterson and he will give them very little production.
Andy Holloway
Okay. Is that your face?
Mike Wright
I got no faith.
Jason Moore
It is. I think that he'll get 30 carries, so he should have about 45 yards.
Andy Holloway
So you think he plays if.
Jason Moore
Well, I'm saying if he were to be active in week 16. My honest guess is that they are not. I mean, the way things are trending right now with Green Bay, I wouldn't doubt if that last week game is already irrelevant, in which case, he doesn't play this season.
Andy Holloway
AJ Green expected to practice on Wednesday.
Mike Wright
Merry Christmas.
Jason Moore
Yeah, that. That's a big one. I mean, if he's back at practice Wednesday. Yes, exactly. A Wednesday practice. Normally, you know, veterans get those off. They're saying he's, you know, hopefully ready to Go. So if he doesn't have a setback tomorrow, if he's practicing the rest of this week, I think you can have confidence to put him out there.
Andy Holloway
That would be pretty, I would love. Pretty great for owners who thought they weren't, they were going to be without him.
Jason Moore
A lot of teams have no AJ Green, no Alshon Jeffrey. If you could make it through last week's playoff matchup, you might get some strength back on your team.
Andy Holloway
All right, let's talk about some waivers.
Jason Moore
Put me in, coach.
Andy Holloway
Let's start with the aforementioned Alshon Jeffrey because he's in our waiver wire list here. Owned in about 60% of leagues in ESPN, about 70% in Yahoo was suspended. Now he's going to be back Green Bay, Washington, Minnesota to finish out the year. What can you expect from the Barkley Jeffrey connection?
Mike Wright
Barkley's been okay. He's not completely falling on his face. To me. Alshon Jeffrey will play. Alshon Jeffrey is playing for Quiche right now. If he do not recall his contract situation, he is finishing out a franchise contract. So he is playing for next year. You think, well, the Bears got nothing. Alshon certainly has something to play for right now, so I would be confident playing him against Green Bay.
Jason Moore
Yeah, this is where the contract does make a difference because he needs the ball. I would love to hear him be a little bit of a squeaky wheel right now. My worry is just, you know, basically what we've seen with Brandon Marshall, having Bryce Petty come in and throw to the backup. You know, these, these third string guys, very often they avoid the other team's number one corner and they, they don't go to that stud. And so that's my fear. I would certainly pick him up and, you know, if you don't have good options, I'm always going to be willing to throw out Alshon Jeffrey, a guy that can get down the field, make big catches. We saw some valuable receivers from the Bears this past week with Matt Barkley. So he's, he's worth a pickup, but he is very risky, I think, with Barkley.
Andy Holloway
All right, let's talk about a couple guys around the 50% ownership mark. Taylor, Gabriel, Malcolm Mitchell. I really impressed with Malcolm Mitchell last night. Has Denver in Denver next week.
Mike Wright
That's unfortunate.
Andy Holloway
I mean, I don't think you can start him in any circumstance.
Jason Moore
No, you don't start. I certainly am not starting Malcolm Mitchell against Denver.
Andy Holloway
Taylor Gabriel does have San Francisco though.
Mike Wright
Yeah, you can start. You can start him. Speaking of the, we might be getting ahead of Ourselves here. But Julio Jones, we don't know what his status is, but the Atlanta Falcons are preparing for the playoffs. Do you think they rush Julio Jones back against San Francisco?
Jason Moore
They don't need him for San Francisco.
Mike Wright
And that's exactly what I mean.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Taylor Gabriel, I think, I mean, preparing.
Andy Holloway
For the playoffs, I don't look at it that way. I think they're trying to get in the playoffs. They're tied atop the division.
Jason Moore
Right.
Mike Wright
Fair.
Andy Holloway
I mean, this is.
Jason Moore
Would you say they need Julio at full health to make the playoffs?
Andy Holloway
Maybe.
Jason Moore
I agree with that. Yeah. Maybe from a team point, you know, I would. Julio. I still think Julio will probably play this game, but I feel like they should and might limit him a little bit. Taylor Gabriel, to me would be someone I would pick up and be willing to play this week. He's had enough fantasy relevant games. Even with Julio, where if Julio's active, I'm not scared away. Especially against a matchup against San Francisco where Taylor Gabriel's really made his hay is just with the ball in his hands, being able to burn by defenders. And if there are defenders you're able to burn by, they are located on that San Francisco team. So Taylor Gabriel, I'm fine playing him this week. He would probably be my. Probably my second, second or third waiver pickup.
Andy Holloway
Who would your number one be?
Jason Moore
I think, and I feel, I feel ashamed to say this, but I think my number one waiver priority. Talk some sense into me if you think I'm way off base. Would be Robbie Anderson. I mean, I'm going to take a guy that's double digit targets.
Mike Wright
Say the vomit sound doesn't mean you're wrong. It just means I vomit at that.
Jason Moore
Yeah. I mean, what, what do you, what do you think?
Andy Holloway
I grabbed Gabriel if he was there. But you know, you're talking 50, 50 ownership. So Gabriel will be my number one because of the San Francisco matchup, all things being equal, would be Mitchell. But I can't play for next week. I got to play for this week. So Gabriel would be my one. Probably Jeffrey too.
Jason Moore
Oh, I was taking Jeffrey.
Mike Wright
Jeffrey would be my one.
Jason Moore
He would definitely be my one.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. You know, Anderson six for 99, another 11 targets. So it's tough to argue with that. He's available in basically every league. So if you need to take a flyer on him and you've got fab to spend.
Jason Moore
Yeah. And if you're in a ppr, I mean, he's just getting so many targets. I mean, you can't, you don't usually Find guys on the waiver wires who back to back weeks are, you know, the number one wide receiver on their team getting double digit targets.
Mike Wright
And Time Montgomery, the crisis, the situation of Time Montgomery has been put to rest. Coach Mike McCarthy said Time Montgomery is a running back. I should have said this weeks ago. He hasn't been to a wide receiver meeting in weeks.
Jason Moore
So he said months.
Mike Wright
Was it months? So NFL.com has officially said that Montgomery can be played as a, as a running back. I think that he is back to being the main guy. James Starks has been putrid lately and Kristen Michaels just the backup and Time Montgomery, I mean 12 touches he had over. He had 86 yards and a touchdown. I think that he is back to that. When we had that little spurt of Time Montgomery is super useful. I think we're, I think we're probably back.
Jason Moore
I agree with that. When I said that Taylor Gabriel might be my second or third, the guy that I was putting in there was Ty Montgomery as my number two pickup because of that flexibility to be able to play him in running back because of the clarity. He was so good for fantasy when there was that crisis in the running back. But James Starks came back, they signed Kristen Michael and so then there was that muddled area where you're not sure ties even going to be used in the game. Well now I think the clarity has come where he is their starting running back and he is their best running back.
Andy Holloway
Marquis Lee, Dontrell Inman. Those are other names for the list.
Mike Wright
I think those are fine pickups. And if you're in a desperate situation, you need a wide receiver. 3. I think both those guys are playable.
Andy Holloway
All right, before we move on to running back waiver pickups, I want to remind everybody about clarktoys.com look, you've seen our studio and if you haven't go to YouTube. Check it out. Did you just say tartlet free?
Mike Wright
Did I say a tartlet? Yeah, I did.
Andy Holloway
There's a tartlet and apple tartlet in there.
Mike Wright
There's four of them.
Jason Moore
Wow.

Jason Moore
You won me over. When you got to the potatoes au gratin, I went, I gotta get to get this.
Andy Holloway
All right, let's talk running backs, guys. I think there is some money to be made, so to speak, at the running back position.
Mike Wright
It's a big week.
Andy Holloway
Whatever you saved on fabric, the position you, you know, if you held on to your position in the order, I think this is the week where it may pay off huge for you. Bilal Powell, is he your number one waiver pickup?
Mike Wright
Oh, man. I want him to be.
Jason Moore
We.
Mike Wright
I would. I would love an update on Matt Forte. Get some clarity here.
Jason Moore
But I just searched through while you guys were doing the reads, see if I could find any new information from beat reporters or any source out there. There's nothing yet. As of the time, we're recording on Map Forte. The upside. I'll say this. I think Kenneth Farrow has a. Has a more secure shot to be the starter this coming week than below Powell, because I would say they're probably. Maybe they're equal. But I feel like with the. With the double injury to Melvin Gordon, you know, a harder chance for him to get back out there. Maybe I'm wrong, but the upside of Bilal Powell is much higher to me. He's going to be fine catching the ball, running the ball. He's good at pass protection, great running, keep him out there. And he's very talented. He's always produced when given the opportunity. So Bilal Powell, for me, he is certainly my number one waiver claim. And if there's no news that Forte or Gordon are in or out, I'm stacking Powell at the top. This is playoffs. I want the highest upside.
Mike Wright
Now, let's just take this with a grain of salt, but on the ESPN fantasy football projections, they're usually optimistic with players. Right now they have Forte projected for zero. So even they agree that Matt Forte is not going to play this weekend, which that would mean. Blah. Powell is my number one pickup if you need running back help.
Jason Moore
And with their lack of depth there at that position, I mean, he got 34 touches last game and he wasn't. He didn't start the game.
Mike Wright
Yeah. And then next on the list, you have Kenneth Farrow. He was. He was okay, 16 for 55, 6 for 23. But as Andy alluded to, his pass protection was highly suspect. Ronnie Hillman was not active. He, of course, will be this week. I don't imagine they're going to say, hey, Kenneth Farrow, here's a Melvin Gordon size workload. But you know that he's going to get his probably around 12 to 15 touches guaranteed.
Andy Holloway
TJ Eldon had 17 carries last week. Alfred Blue had 16, Dwayne Washington had 16 and Pharaoh had 16. Out of those four guys, who's your favorite pickup? Yelden, Blue, Washington.
Mike Wright
Farrell, man. Probably.
Andy Holloway
I don't know if I can buy into Yelden because I don't know if Ivory.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
We don't miss another game.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
And he plays Houston this coming week, which is not a tough start.
Andy Holloway
I'm playing the Houston defense. I know that.
Mike Wright
Yeah. I think Pharaoh would be my top.
Jason Moore
Pharaoh would be my top as well.
Andy Holloway
Interesting. Pharaoh was okay. It was okay.
Mike Wright
And then Charles Sims is back. All the chatter of, hey, Jock Whiz Rogers. We're Gonna get him a bigger role. When we say jock quiz, we mean Charles Sims.
Jason Moore
It sounds very similar.
Mike Wright
Charles, maybe there was some confusion, but he was activated off the IR Saturday, comes in immediately gets seven touches in the game. He is. He's a great pass catcher. He can. He has dynamic skills. He has standalone value. Aside from being Doug Martin's handcuff. Who I At this point. So what do you guys think? Do you think that if Martin. Something happened to Martin is jock quiz getting those early running down situations?
Jason Moore
Yeah, he will. I don't. I think he earned the spot where you wouldn't just have Charles Sims take over the entire role. Charles Sims will retain.
Andy Holloway
I'm not really feeling comfortable the role he's in with handcuffing Martin.
Mike Wright
That's fair.
Andy Holloway
Should a Lamar Miller owner spend on Alfred Blue?
Mike Wright
Yes, I would.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I think so. Alfred Blue is back from his injury. He looked healthy. He ran well. Might as well. Might as well have a handcuff to an important piece on your team.
Andy Holloway
Kenneth Dixon still available in over 50% of leagues.
Mike Wright
But like. And I would pick him up. Absolutely.
Andy Holloway
Would you pick him up over a handcuff?
Jason Moore
Yes, absolutely.
Andy Holloway
Over at Gillislee, Henry D. Will not.
Mike Wright
If I'm the. If I'm the owner of that.
Andy Holloway
That's what makes them a handcuff Mike.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
I'm saying. So if it's my handcuff. No, if I have. I have Shady McCoy. I'm picking up Gillislee. If I have Murray, I'll Pick up Henry D'Angelo Williams is the bigger question mark we keep. It sounds like he's going to be ready to play, but then he's. He keeps being inactive. So maybe over D. Will. I would pick up Kenneth Dixon.
Jason Moore
I would. I would pick up Kenneth Dixon over all those guys. I think Kenneth Dixon could. I agree. It might have been game script this last game. It might have been the fact that they were playing the Patriots.
Andy Holloway
Snap count wasn't.
Jason Moore
No, the snap count wasn't. You had 11 carries to. I believe Terrence west only got two carries in the game. So it could have been game script and it could flip. But it also is just as likely that what we've been waiting to have happen with Kenneth Dixon has happened. And I'm going to take him because he could be a guy that these next two weeks wins. Some people, some matchups.
Andy Holloway
What about Paul Perkins and his 15 carries last week?
Mike Wright
It's interesting, but I don't. You would have to be quite desperate to play.
Andy Holloway
Perkins and Dixon are in the Same boat where they're kind of doing enough to make you talk about them, but that's not enough to help you win your league.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I would prefer.
Andy Holloway
I mean, Dixon last night obviously made an impact, but five fantasy points on 15 carries from Perkins isn't much tight ends to pick up. I'm going to tell you, a guy that I'm signing in one of my leagues I think is very interesting, has five catches in each of the last three weeks and played 72 of 76 offensive snaps. And now Michael Floyd may be out.
Mike Wright
Oh, yeah, you were joining me.
Andy Holloway
Jermaine Gresham with Big Gresh, 5 for 45 this past week. On the field a ton. Targeted a ton. And has New Orleans at home this week. I'm, I am honestly thinking finally in. I'm thinking about playing Jermaine Gresham over Antonio Gates.
Jason Moore
Wow.
Mike Wright
Very interesting. Very interesting.
Andy Holloway
Not saying I'm going to, but I think. I'm thinking about it. I'm thinking about it.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Andy Holloway
I'm giving it some thought.
Mike Wright
Ladarius Green is still available in almost half of leagues. I'm not concerned about the 2 for 25. Personally.
Jason Moore
No.
Mike Wright
I still think that he is a great pickup. He is a, he is a very solid play.
Jason Moore
Yeah. I mean, there's a reason I didn't have him as high as you guys this last week with Ladaris Green because the weather, in that cold weather, we was frightful. I thought it was. The weather outside was frightful. But you know, Left Bell took over that game. Ladarius Green, it wasn't. They weren't using him or they had him in a doghouse. It was, it was the Love Bell show. And you know, I agree. I would, I would like to have Ladarius Green as well over, even over Big Gresh.
Andy Holloway
Now, any other names for Titans?
Mike Wright
I'm going to throw this out. I want to get your opinion on this. Trey BURTON, Philadelphia Eagles, 7 for 65, had 10 targets, nine. Now they were running a lot of two tight end sets.
Andy Holloway
Well, ERT's had 10 catches, 17 catches.
Mike Wright
I'm saying you had Green, Beckham, inactive. There's no faith in Nelson Aguilar. Jordan Matthews is kind of their only known commodity besides Ertz. But is it an opportunity for me?
Andy Holloway
I can't fathom this having an impact on my fantasy team right now. Okay, that's, I mean, middle of the season, this happens. Flyer. Right now I can't imagine playing him in championship week.
Mike Wright
Fair.
Andy Holloway
Because I can't play him this week after one game.
Jason Moore
So just Looking into. I wanted to look and see since the week nine buy with Gresham how he's done. Fantasy wise. He's actually solid. Yeah, he's the number nine tight end. So he's a tight end. One over the last handful of games. Post their buy.
Andy Holloway
All right, defenses this week, big time impact on your fantasy team. Let's talk about some Defenses available in 50% or less of leagues. Bills versus the Browns. Very attractive.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Falcons. They take on the 49ers after last week's big performance.
Mike Wright
Yep. And I, I think there's still a good play. I'm not worried about the, the 49ers offense.
Andy Holloway
Texans, Jags, Texans at home, I believe.
Mike Wright
Yeah, that's.
Andy Holloway
That's juicy.
Mike Wright
That is juicy. We're getting like Portals, get some turnovers.
Andy Holloway
Dolphins take on the Jets.
Mike Wright
All right.
Andy Holloway
Feeling pretty good about that.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Not. Not too shabby.
Jason Moore
You have Bryce Petty's.
Mike Wright
It's the battle of the backups there.
Andy Holloway
Packers and Bears. Do you play the packers defense?
Mike Wright
It was dominant last week with Russell Wilson's five interceptions. I feel like a. The majority of those interceptions were not a product of the Green Bay defense. More of a lack of catching and sending the ball flying into the air. So I'm okay with the packers here if you can't get in one of these other options, but I would strongly prefer one of those other options.
Andy Holloway
Let's talk about week 16. If you want to stash a defense. You got one lined up this week already. What are some Week 16 defenses? Fantasy ownership stash.
Mike Wright
Chargers. Browns. Yeah, let's do it.
Jason Moore
Who plays the Browns?
Mike Wright
Yep. And the Chargers. And they're available in. In Yahoo. Almost 70% of leagues and an ESPN. Almost 60%. So they're. They're there. I would pick them up. Play. Play like. Play like you're going to the championship.
Andy Holloway
What other ones?
Mike Wright
For week 16, you got the Bills versus the Dolphins. We'll see how that works out with Matt Moore. Yeah.
Jason Moore
The Patriots if they're. If they're available. They're playing the New York jets with.
Andy Holloway
Bryce Petty and the Texans. If you pick up the Texans against the Jags, you might double stuff them. Might play him again against Andy Dalton in the Bengals in week 16.
Jason Moore
Good.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I don't mind that.
Andy Holloway
All right, let's talk about some quarterbacks.
Jason Moore
Full stream ahead.
Andy Holloway
So remind listeners what they're looking for in a streaming quarterback at this point in the season. If you don't have somebody you're playing. If you've been streaming. We're trying to Give you some options off the waiver wire that you might be able to roll out there and aren't going to. They're not going to poop your team.
Jason Moore
I believe all three of our streamers were quarterback ones.
Mike Wright
Pretty solid, I think Wentz. Well, they probably got Wince. He was. He was 12 going into Monday. He probably got.
Jason Moore
Tom Brady knocked him out.
Mike Wright
Yeah, he probably got knocked out.
Andy Holloway
And we had Simeon and Dalton last week.
Mike Wright
Yeah, they were great.
Andy Holloway
All right, Mike, who's your streaming quarterback option for this week?
Mike Wright
I'm going with Samuel J. Biscuits.
Jason Moore
Wow.
Mike Wright
He's taken on The Colts last week. 292 and 1 vs. The Jacksonville Jaguars two weeks ago. 247 and 1 vs. Dallas. These. I want the two touchdowns, but the numbers are there for Sammy Biscuits. And before Brock Osweiler, who is just. Just the worst. Just the worst. Against the Colts, they were giving up two or more passing touchdowns.
Andy Holloway
Not at hanging wallpaper. The best.
Mike Wright
He's really good at changing light bulbs.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Height.
Mike Wright
You got that shelf that you can't dust.
Jason Moore
Oh, he can get it on top of the fans. It's hard to get those.
Mike Wright
Oh, yeah. You want them hand wiped, you call Brock Osweiler.
Jason Moore
Look, it's gross up there. Brock knows.
Mike Wright
But I'm going to stream Sammy Biscuits. Like eight straight weeks of two or more passing touchdowns. If you dismiss Brock, who is, like I said, just the worst. Sammy Biscuits. And he was.
Andy Holloway
You're saying eight straight weeks from.
Mike Wright
From the Colts. They allowed that. And Biscuits was a quarterback one last week. He's getting it done. He just. The yardage is there. You got to hope for one more touchdown. But I think he's. I think he's an okay option if you are digging in the dumpster.
Andy Holloway
Frightful.
Jason Moore
Yeah, that is frightful to me, that one. Do you. What's your confidence level on Biscuits?
Mike Wright
I'm. I'm pretty confident. I mean, it's. If you need a case.
Jason Moore
Biscuits is Bradford.
Mike Wright
Oh, yeah. I guess we should clarify that for the. If there's.
Andy Holloway
You know what else. Now, let me just say this before we have. I have to pause because you guys realize you've been busting out. You've been busting this out.
Jason Moore
Moncrief.
Andy Holloway
Nobody knows what it is.
Mike Wright
What do you mean?
Andy Holloway
You guys did that on the Join the Foot show.
Mike Wright
Well, they know.
Jason Moore
We never. We never talked about it.
Andy Holloway
Never talked about it. On slapping the bass on the show.
Mike Wright
If you. If you had Moncrief and you've watched him play football, you know that when he's oh, come on.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
We've had multiple people reach out and not know what in the world you're talking about.
Mike Wright
They've watched Moncrief play football.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Every time that Moncrief grabs a touchdown, which was basically every week except this last one, that's his touchdown celebration.
Mike Wright
Slaps the base.
Jason Moore
He slaps the base.
Andy Holloway
I'm just clarifying. Some people didn't know what was going on, including Jeremy. Longtime listener had no idea what was going on.
Mike Wright
Watch the Colts play Jeremy.
Andy Holloway
He talked to somebody else. Grow up, Jason. Streaming quarterback option.
Jason Moore
All right.
Andy Holloway
Yours is frightful, too.
Jason Moore
Oh, mine is not frightful. Look, not at all. You're going to take one of the three of ours. You're going to take mine because it's not frightful. It's the low hanging fruit. I am playing Tyrod Taylor, who is always has the opportunity and the skill set with his legs to be able to put up monster fantasy games. I don't see him putting up a complete stinker because he's playing the Browns. Out of 32 teams, the Browns give up the 32nd most points to the quarterback. There is only two times this entire season where they have not given up two or more touchdowns to the quarterback. So running passing Tyrod Taylor to me, he's available in a lot of leagues and the matchup says if you need a streamer, you should be safe with a high ceiling. I don't necessarily know that he'll get that high ceiling because Shady could run wild.
Andy Holloway
But I think five games this year with no touchdowns.
Jason Moore
Five games this year with no touchdowns. And let's talk about his games, like against New York jets where he was 297 and three and put up 36 fantasy points.
Andy Holloway
And how I look, I'm playing devil's advocate because he does scare me a little bit. But Cleveland gives you the best opportunity and there's only so many streaming options.
Jason Moore
I believe when you say five games with no touchdowns, you're speaking of no passing touchdowns because he's got six different games with a rushing touchdown in addition to his passing numbers.
Andy Holloway
So Tyrod Taylor. I agree. I would choose Tyrod over Sammy Biscuits Andy Dalton. I'm doubling down. He was my stream of the week last week. I'm sticking with him. He's at home against Pittsburgh. He's had two touchdowns in each of the last two weeks. He could get A.J. green back. Even if he doesn't, he's kind of what you want from a streamer a home game. Pittsburgh's given up two Touchdowns to quarterbacks each of the last two weeks as well. So I kind of feel like, you know, Dalton, you know, it's Slim Pickens, right. I could have gone Colin Kaepernick, but I'm not going to because I'd rather be dead.
Mike Wright
If A.J. green is back, then.
Jason Moore
Oh, man.
Mike Wright
Then all aboard the Andy Dalton Express.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
So I agree.
Andy Holloway
Streaming quarterback options right there for you. Let's jump into the mailbag.
Jason Moore
Mailbag. Mailbag.
Andy Holloway
All right, if you have a question for the show, go to the website the Fantasy Friday. Click the questions button in the upper right hand corner. Send it in. You can also submit questions to a ton of our listeners over@jointhefoot.com. you can also dial our voicemail hotline, 302-464-TFFB. Leave us a question on there. We love to jump in, answer them, help you out. All right, Fantasy football question from DJ in Maryland. I wonder if DJ is a dj. Probably not. Should I start Sammy Watkins or Alshon Jeffrey? In a standard league, it's Sammy Watkins for me by a lot.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I would agree. I just talked about the matchup against the Browns and the risk with Alshon Jeffrey. This. This to me, is a very good week for Sammy Watkins.
Mike Wright
Yep.
Andy Holloway
Chris in Denver. He needs the best bar fee. Tight end.
Mike Wright
Oh, here we go.
Andy Holloway
He needs a miracle tight end for this week. He's playing the number one seed who's stacked. He needs a tight end with the highest ceiling.
Jason Moore
All right.
Andy Holloway
I love this question because he's thinking about fantasy football in the right way.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Which is what do you need? So many questions. Yeah, exactly. What do you need? Do you need high ceiling? Do you need high floor? Jermaine Gresham versus New Orleans. Charles Clay against Cleveland. Hunter Henry against Oakland. Lance Kendricks against Seattle. Jared Cook against Chicago.
Mike Wright
Best PPR scoring, highest ceiling. Okay, PPR change.
Andy Holloway
I have my order.
Jason Moore
PPR change things a little bit, I think. Highest ceiling. Highest ceiling to me. Is Hunter Henry out of that list?
Andy Holloway
I agree.
Jason Moore
But the PPR changes because since, I mean, it's been week seven and on and we're in 14, since he's had even more than two catches, he's only had twos as high.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I mean, I. If it were me, though, and I'm going for ceiling, I probably go Henry Clay Gresham, because Clay has Cleveland, and if Clay is the one that benefits from Cleveland, I'm taking the bet. Like, I don't see any upside for Kendricks against Seattle.
Jason Moore
Right.
Mike Wright
I agree.
Andy Holloway
And I don't really see Any upside for Cooks against Chicago? Cook against Chicago.
Mike Wright
So, Eileen, I agree that Henry has the largest ceiling, but he also has low floor. Definitely two for 15. I would play. I'd play big gresh.
Andy Holloway
Okay. At home, you're going to get a few catches. You got to just hope he gets in the end zone there and what.
Mike Wright
She has been doing.
Jason Moore
And I would. You know, I would also. I would rather play Travis Kelsey.
Andy Holloway
Solid. Solid.
Jason Moore
So why don't you just get him.
Andy Holloway
Get Kelsey quick. Rudy in Orlando, playing the number one seed in the playoffs needs to pick three receivers who have the highest ceiling. So same perspective.
Mike Wright
All right.
Andy Holloway
Mike Evans. Yeah, he's in.
Mike Wright
Raise the roof.
Andy Holloway
He's in. Hopkins, Watkins, Tyrell, Macklin, Thielen. For me, this is Evans and Watkins. And then I am deciding between. I'm probably going Tyrell over. Over Hopkins. Yeah, I'm going to go Evans, Watkins, Tyrell House, Tyrell.
Jason Moore
I think I can get behind that exact thing. The matchup is a little bit better.
Andy Holloway
I mean, what. What's highest? Hopkins highest. Is that who the guy you're deciding between? Yeah, because DeAndre Hopkins. What has he done on the year? Has he had any games that would be high ceiling?
Mike Wright
I'd play Adam Thielen over DeAndre Hopkins.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, but would you play Adam Thielen over Hopkins?
Jason Moore
Highest game was in week two where he did have a good.
Andy Holloway
But you wouldn't play him over Tyrell.
Mike Wright
That. It's probably. I might feeling against the Colts. Thielen has been.
Jason Moore
He's Mr. Sammy Biscuits over here.
Mike Wright
I'm just. Thielen has been very solid. Like, he's been quietly great now for six weeks.
Jason Moore
How many touchdowns?
Andy Holloway
I would not call him great.
Mike Wright
4 for 101, 7 for 86, 8 for 53, 5 for 65 and a touchdown. He's been. He's been good, man.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, but not enough ceiling.
Jason Moore
Oh, yeah. I would go Tyrell Williams.
Mike Wright
All right.
Andy Holloway
You sticking with yours, though?
Mike Wright
Well, I didn't say for sure it was Thielen, but that's my. I wouldn't Between Williams and Thielen for the three. And I would. I would probably go with Williams, but I'm just saying it's worth thinking about.
Andy Holloway
Nick in New Jersey. Hey, guys. Huge fan of the show. Appreciate what you guys do for the community of people who spend too much time worrying about their lineup like myself.
Mike Wright
No, no, no, no. It's not too much.
Jason Moore
No such thing.
Andy Holloway
Anyway, my question is for week 15, do I start Powell or Ingram? Ingram is facing the Cardinals. I'm Playing Powell.
Jason Moore
Yeah. I mean it's. No, it's not even close.
Mike Wright
Out is powder.
Andy Holloway
What if Forte's in? I'm still playing. Probably. I'm probably still playing Powell.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Mike Wright
Ingram.
Andy Holloway
Ingram stabbed me in the back.
Jason Moore
Come to me.
Andy Holloway
Ingram stabbed me last week.
Mike Wright
If Forte is active, I would play Ingram.
Andy Holloway
All right, Stu. In Scotland.
Mike Wright
Oh, Bonjour.
Jason Moore
Bonsor.
Andy Holloway
No first time fantasy player this season. My 10 team league finished the regular season with the number one team having 2, 200 fewer points than teams two through five and 100 fewer than team six. Is this common?
Jason Moore
No. No.
Andy Holloway
Seems like the NFL is pretty volatile compared to football. Where there are 38 weeks in a season.
Mike Wright
That's football.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, football. Is there any particular format that mitigates this better than others? I went with a default NFL managed league, but might give other league formats a shot.
Jason Moore
Next to you, I certainly like half point PPR depending on, you know, to me, standard makes touchdowns just too valuable. It makes it a little bit more volatile. A guy that gets one touchdown, you know, on a 17 yard reception is more valuable than the guy that got, you know, 7 for 50, which he wasn't really more valuable. So I would say that that helps a little. But I think this is where the phrase beginner's luck.
Mike Wright
Oh, this happens. I would say it's not that uncommon. If someone ends up with an elite team, you can easily score a couple hundred more points than the Pearson in last.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. And it can maybe come down to two weeks. You know, there might be a couple weeks where you just look, look at what happened to teams this past week. Dynasty League. Jason lost in our Dynasty league with a million points.
Jason Moore
Stupid levy on Bell.
Andy Holloway
The other side of the bracket literally had half the points. Oh, it was happen. I mean, it's just this seems a little bit extreme. Maybe not this common to be number one with 200 fewer points, but it definitely happens. And you know, it affords you the chance to pretend like when you win and you're like that, you ignore it. You're like, yeah, I'm the best. If you, if you lose and you've got more points than everybody, you're like, the system's rigged.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Just I deserve to be at the top.
Jason Moore
Just wait until it flips to your favor.
Andy Holloway
Right, Right. So. All right, that is it for today's show. Thanks for listening. Tomorrow we'll have some mailbag. We'll have some other special stuff going on. In fact, I'm going to let people know right now, starting tomorrow on join the Foot.com 12 Days of Foot Foot Clan begins. And that's all I'm going to say. Also, Jason's going to be dressed up as Santa Claus. That's all I'm going to say. Nothing else. Jason will be dressed up and giving away free stuff every day for the next 12 days on jointhefoot.com but that's it.
Jason Moore
Days of football.
Andy Holloway
That is all I'm going to say.
Mike Wright
Have you ever wanted a partridge in a pear tree?
Andy Holloway
That's actually what he looks like.
Mike Wright
No, that's what we're giving away.
Andy Holloway
We are.
Mike Wright
We are. Now I know.
Jason Moore
Five golden rings.
Andy Holloway
You know how hard that is to find?
Mike Wright
