This is one of those exceptionally fun shows. Andy, Mike and Jason, the fantasy footballers back again. Exceptionally fun and also crazy because things happen. They're gonna happen. During this show, we'll have some breaking news. Players are signing, jerseys are changing, and we're going to cover it all right here on the show. Lot of very interesting fantasy implications. And when you look at the free agent period, guys, you're looking at two sides to every equation. There's the very attractive in your face, desean Jackson in a Bucs uniform type of hype. But then there is the desean Jackson not in a Redskins uniform implications for a guy like Kirk Cousins, for a Jameson Crowder, for a Jordan Reed, when garcon. And, you know, these are the things we're going to get into. The absence of these players on different teams create opportunities.

I hate that. Yeah, the hand scooped. I've seen that. What does that even mean Carl's Jr. They got hand scooped milkshakes. It's supposed to sound like your grandma made it, but it's just somebody scooping it out. They're very ridiculous, very homemade. All right, guys, let's see how quick you can get this one. Who am I? Clue number one. Over the last two seasons, I am 77th in the league in receptions, 57th in receiving yards, and I have one 100 yard game.

That is correct. That is correct. I'll give you that, give you that hint. Over the last two years, 77th in receptions, 57th in receiving yards. Just one 100 yard game. Clue number two. I also have the fifth worst catch rate of wide receivers with 100 more targets in that span, so. The fifth worst catch rate in that span.

[Mike Wright]

So the hundred targets that's divvied up into the two seasons.

[Jason Moore]

It is. Okay, so no hints so far, no guesses?

[Mike Wright]

No.

[Jason Moore]

I'm kind of setting the table here, right?

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah.

Now what's the table look like?

[Andy Holloway]

Well, you're. The table is so far. You're setting an unappealing table.

It's like the table in the. The old Mickey Mouse cartoon where they have to cut the bean. They just have to cut the slivers to feed everybody.

Yeah, it's not good.

I remember that cartoon. All right, clue number three. Last year I scored three times as many touchdowns as I did the previous year despite generating just 8.1 yards per target, which was 35th in the league.

[Mike Wright]

So three times, I hope.

[Jason Moore]

Does that mean a lot or a little?

[Mike Wright]

I'm going to go with a little judging off of the first couple clues.

[Jason Moore]

All right, well, let's try this one. My former quarterback is much better than my current quarterback.

[Mike Wright]

That sounds like an opinion.

[Jason Moore]

My. It's not. It is not. It is fact. It is 100% fact. My former quarterback. Okay, so you got all the clues there.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah.

[Jason Moore]

Let's go with number five, guys. Let's go. I just signed a new contract for $32 million, which is about $1.6 million per career touchdown that I've scored.

[Mike Wright]

I'm going to go with. Is that Pierre?

[Jason Moore]

Kenny Stills. Kenny Stills, gentlemen.

[Andy Holloway]

He's. He's pooping on our guy.

[Jason Moore]

I'm pooping all over him. It was a trap.

[Mike Wright]

Well, we knew it was a trap the whole time. I mean, you know, you're trying to make the numbers say something there.

[Jason Moore]

Oh, make them say something. They Say what they say, man. 27 receptions two years ago, 43 receptions last year. I am personally amazed that a man who has that small a target share gets paid that kind of money. Kenny Stills, gentlemen, does that. Is there any eye opening statistics there for you?

[Andy Holloway]

Not really.

[Jason Moore]

The tape says one thing and I respect the fact that you like the potential, but it's yet to be translated into statistical. Impressive statistical production. Three touchdowns two years ago, three touchdowns a year before last year was nine touchdowns. Yes, that is not a sustainable number to me.

[Mike Wright]

That's fine. But I would say, I mean, to go with the touchdowns, he had five touchdowns in the last six games. I mean he really got things going. Towards the end of the year, you.

[Jason Moore]

Will have and credit to Bill Barnwell, espn. He had some of those statistics he was breaking down, by the way.

[Mike Wright]

Awesome. It's. It's going to be the second year in Adam Gay's system for everybody, including Ryan Tannehill, who Jason and I both have. Have a little fantasy crush on Ryan Tannehill. If you looked at what he was doing, his numbers at the beginning of the year were really bad. And you saw it, you saw a improvement over the season, much like it's reminding me of when Eli Manning started in the Ben McAdoo system. It looked like an absolute train wreck because he just was not. He wasn't ready for that system. But once everyone got on the same page, that offense went bananas for a couple years.

[Andy Holloway]

All right, I also have a. Who am I for you guys?

[Mike Wright]

Hold on.

[Jason Moore]

Are you changing to.

[Andy Holloway]

No. No. Okay, well, I'm slightly changing players, but the same exact conversation here. When I was 23 and 24 years old, I combined for. Combined those seasons for 135 receptions. I over doubled my touchdowns. So like in my 24 year to five, I had five touchdowns that season and two the year before.

[Mike Wright]

I think I know where this is going.

[Andy Holloway]

Who am I? Antonio Brown.

[Jason Moore]

135 receptions is double what Kenny Stills had in that period of time.

[Andy Holloway]

My point is you're looking at.

[Jason Moore]

Did you just make the comparison of Antonio Brown and Kenny Stills?

[Andy Holloway]

I'm trying to be hyperbolic in the sense that, well, Antonio Brown when he was 24 years old hadn't done anything. He'd been in the.

[Mike Wright]

He was not Antonio Brown.

[Jason Moore]

You're proving my point though. The only arguments made for Kenny Stills are ones made on potential, not actual statistics and proof. So I. Biases aside, let's talk fantasy ceiling for Kenny Stills based on what he's done, based on the money. Do you really believe that the target share is going to go up because when you look at this, 77th in the league in receptions isn't going to get it done in fantasy. So what's the actual ceiling for Kenny Stills? To me, the actual ceiling for Kenny Stills would be. And this is ceiling. To me, it's 20 to 24 range.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, I completely agree and I don't think he'll get to that ceiling. All the love that we give. Kenny Stills is really more of a talent. I think he is a very good weapon for a team, but so is Ted Ginn and Ted Ginn has not been a reliable fantasy option through most of his career. But he plays a role on a team that is very helpful. For me, the Kenny still signing isn't about, wow, go sign Kenny Stills in the, you know, in the eighth round. I'm not, I'm not saying that because you're going to have a hard time starting him. He needs that long bomb touchdown in most of those games to be a fantasy relevant player. For me, this news with Kenny Stills is great news for Ryan Tannehill.

[Jason Moore]

Okay, that is big money, big money to Stills, that's for sure. And they are obviously buying into. He's 24 years old and they hope that he can develop into a, I think more of a desean Jackson type of player where it's a thousand plus yard seasons and making those big plays could do it. Bringing it, bringing it. All right, so let's start at the top. Kind of the big high profile signing. First one that broke yesterday. Brooklyn, Brandon Marshall, formerly of the New York jets, stays in New York 2 year $12 million contract. He said that he was offered more money to go elsewhere. He obviously wanted to stay in New York. He called himself and Sterling Shepard the number twos for Odell Beckham Jr which means he has an actual.

[Mike Wright]

He called shepherd the two.

[Jason Moore]

He called them both.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, I mean, we know it's true. It's just.

[Jason Moore]

I mean, it's very. It's just respectful.

[Mike Wright]

Well, if I'm Sterling Shepard, I'll say, mind your business. Brandon Marshall. I'm one C on this team.

[Jason Moore]

If I was Shepherd, I'd be like, thank you. I would as well, because I am the three. I mean, that is straight up the truth. So Brandon Marshall lands in New York.

[Mike Wright]

New York City.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah. Yeah. And look, this team made strides on the defensive side of the ball last year. The problem right now exists with the offensive line and with the running game and the quarterback. I would argue, yes, sort of. Eli Manning, if. If he's anything, he's going to be the quarterback. Twelve consecutive years, not missing a start. So we've seen him have these down years. Is he. Was he ever elite?

[Andy Holloway]

That's a legit question of asking whether he was.

[Jason Moore]

So you're saying no, but two Super Bowls without being elite tells me that the pieces around him are going to make a big difference.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. And he has enough tools to get it done. I moved him up almost 400 yards in my. You know, when we were stating guys.

[Jason Moore]

Out just going to say 400 spots.

[Andy Holloway]

I was like, wow, you had him low, very low. And now he's up to 20.

[Jason Moore]

Okay.

[Andy Holloway]

You know, I. But I do think this is really good for Eli Manning. And if they're able to shore up that offensive line.

[Mike Wright]

Well, before you crap on the offensive line, I will say this. Football, Football outsiders, the. The Giants ranked fantastic as a pass blocking, right?

[Jason Moore]

No, that's been the case.

[Mike Wright]

Run blocking was absolutely garbage.

[Andy Holloway]

Right. And they need to be able to run the ball a little bit more with the defense they have. But this is great news, I think, for Odell Beckham. A lot of. I've seen a lot of Twitter, you know, questions from people just worried, oh, Brandon Marshall's coming. Does that ruin my Odell Beckham? No, Odell Beckham is not going to see any kind of significant down crease in targets or down crease is a.

[Jason Moore]

Brand new word that is impressive.

[Andy Holloway]

It's a special word.

I had a down crease once. It was terrible.

Well, man, I think his target share is going to be.

How does it feel when you're really good, fantasy football opinions get just derailed by your grammar.

Feels pretty par for the course, really. Okay.

Sorry, what? You were saying something?

Yeah. I don't think his targets will decrease. No. And go down, you know, any significant way. But I do think that his double coverage could decrease. You know, his ability to breakout into the open is going to be much better when Brandon Marshall is across the field on the other side and you've got to worry about him. And then also on third downs. You saw the offense of the Giants struggling at times last year just to convert, to keep moving to score points. Well, if you've got Brandon Marshall keeping a drive alive on a third and eight play, you've got more touchdown opportunity later in the game. So I think this is great news for Odell Beckham.

[Jason Moore]

I don't personally believe Brandon Marshall has lost basically anything from his game. I do not. I think he is, I think he's an upper echelon type of talent.

[Mike Wright]

You think last year was just a complete outlier?

[Jason Moore]

Yes.

[Mike Wright]

Injury, you're throwing it.

[Jason Moore]

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick got in late. Eric Decker went out. There was nobody else on the other side of the field.

[Andy Holloway]

Brandon Marshall led the league last year as far as the worst percentage of catchable balls. He was in the. Around 44% of the targets that were thrown to him were deemed catchable.

[Jason Moore]

It's a great, it's a great signing. Fantasy wise.

[Mike Wright]

Eli will get that up.

[Jason Moore]

I want bricks. I want, I want Brandon Marshall. If he's, if he's a fifth round pick, that's. I want Brandon Marshall. The production can be there for this offense. Well, right now he's a sixth in adp, but that'll.

[Mike Wright]

He'll climb.

[Jason Moore]

Which is strange because it's just to me, compared to if he was staying in New York as the one, I still liked him more on the jets as a fantasy producer. That being said, where do you guys see him? Like is he a 2 this year? Locked and loaded?

[Mike Wright]

To me he'll be a strong two. I think that they throw the ball enough in New York that, that they'll be able to get at least production from two wide receivers. You know, I'm with Jason. Odell Beckham will get his. He's still locked and loaded top three guy to me. And I think Marshall, I think he has enough to. When you put an elite wide receiver next to him, I think that helps Brandon Marshall personally.

[Jason Moore]

Okay. All right, let's Go ahead. Anything else you want to get into on the New York side of the.

[Mike Wright]

Ball for the Giants?

[Jason Moore]

Yeah.

[Mike Wright]

Okay, so the jets now it's Eric Decker show maybe.

Yeah, he might be gone. I mean, it's the looking 2018 first round pick show is what's going on.

[Mike Wright]

They're looking at 20, 21.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. I mean, you don't know who the quarterback is going to be. It's as likely to be Geno Smith as it is to be Jake Cutler as it is to be Christian Hackenberg. Maybe they'll just go, let's start him so we can get that number one. I mean, you have no idea who the quarterback's going to be, who the wide receivers are going to be. It's a scary situation out there, so I'm avoiding almost every piece of fantasy from the.

[Jason Moore]

When the dust settles on those ugly situations, you can find the gyms, you can find the Terrell Priors. Quincy Noon was, you know, a new.

[Mike Wright]

That's a guy who I like.

[Jason Moore]

I think he's very talented.

[Mike Wright]

I mean, he's, he's going to get on the field and I mean, we're very, very early. But I've, I've always liked Devin Smith. Maybe he can be healthy and have an actual role on the field now.

[Jason Moore]

All right. We won't get into the weeds with Kenny Stills anymore because we've already talked about him. Well, returning to the Dolphins, Kenny Stills.

[Mike Wright]

It has some fallout. Do you think that the team at all is concerned about devontae Parker? There's been some bad, bad rumors from the Bushes spreading about Leonte Carew. And when you go out and you give a guy like Kenny Brett, like you're saying it's, it's unproven statistically on the field. In the film, it seems like it's there, but the stats are not there. And you have. They gave up a lot to get Carew Devonte Parker, first round pick. And then you say, no, we're going to give a Kenny Stills a boatload of money.

[Andy Holloway]

I think that they are focusing on something extremely important for NFL teams to have and very valuable for fantasy football owners to have, which is continuity. You saw it last year with several teams, right? You saw it with the Atlanta Falcons. They came in with, you know, their system in place into the year two of Kyle Shanahan. You know, the running backs got it. Julio already knew the system. Matt Ryan was a year in. You had it with other teams last year. Look at the Washington Redskins, how much their offense and their yards and their Touchdowns went up. Kirk Cousins, we had a debate as to whether he would be a top 12 quarterback. Last year, he. He blew that out of the water. He had a great year. Threw for almost 5,000 yards. Well, that was because he had Pierre Garcon and Jameson Crowder and desean Jackson, everybody back. He was. It was complete continuity there. And so I think for the Dolphins, that's why I was talking about, look, I know Ryan Tannehill is not a name that we like to say, and you know, I've ranked him high, which means I think he's like my 18th quarterback right now. So I'm not out there saying, hey, you've got to have him. But we forget that Matt Ryan was quarterback 22 two years ago in year one of that system. And while I think Matt Ryan is just better obviously than Ryan Tannehill, Ryan Tannehill now comes into a system where he has a lot of weapons. No, Pryor's 27. Okay, so he's like got a couple months on him about a year. But yes, they're pretty much the same age. They are. And it's a great point because you look at Pryor because of the transition into wide receiver, because his first real year showing that kind of potential.

He took three years off, I mean.

[Jason Moore]

1,000 yards in his first year as a, as a wide receiver, on it, on an offense that had six different quarterbacks. And, you know, he showed what he could do. It's a good point. Now, I don't know if, you know, Pryor is going to cost more on the market. I mean, $32 million deal for Brett. They certainly had the money to spend it. Maybe Kenny Britt's matured. Maybe that's why we saw a career year out of him. Despite the quarterback situation there. He certainly used to having nobody to throw him the ball.

[Mike Wright]

And they could, they could still bring back prior. I mean, the Cleveland Browns had by far the most amount of cap space to, to make a splash. But this is bad news to me for Terrell Pryor. Of you have the team who said, I mean, you've gone from. The only piece on this team that we will not consider trading is Terrell Pryor. You didn't franchise him. You've spent some decent money on a different wide receiver. What is going on with Terrell Pryor? There's always those great gross kind of rumors of like, no one really likes Terrell Pryor in the locker room. I mean, this is bad news. Could we have a guy emerge of a great story, a great redemption story of a wide receiver gets a thousand yards and then just vanish?

[Andy Holloway]

There are very few spots I think For Terrell Pryor to go where he's going to be a real valuable asset for fantasy where he can be a focus of an offense. And I agree with you. This is, this is bad news for Terrell Pryor either way.

[Jason Moore]

Why I never wanted him to leave. That's the reason why is because I don't know now that Pierre Garcon has gone to San Francisco, because that would have been one of the places I said you land in San Francisco. Maybe that's the maybe.

[Andy Holloway]

I still think that's maybe his best option.

He could, what's ironic is he could flip flop with Kenny brandt. I mean, St. Louis could end up bringing in Terrell Pryor. But yeah, I agree with all. I agree with those. Yeah. Did I say St. Louis?

Bodes well for both the quarterback and that Todd Gurley guy I like so much. Let's talk about Brandon lefell, though. I mean, last year, kind of a surprise production year. A.J. green was injured. You had a lot of injuries. You had Ifrt out. You had Gio Bernard out. So headline news here. Just a good, stable presence there for Andy Dalton.

I like it. I think It's. I think he's an okay wide receiver. I know he has his. Sure he has his faults, but they. He's a veteran, he knows how to play the game and it, I don't think, I don't think it's a bad move.

[Andy Holloway]

He's OK at best. And this is coming from the guy that always sees the, at least the fantasy relevance of the oft maligned Brandon lefell, which is still not all that relevant. But I was disappointed by this news because, you know, I think Andy Dalton can be a really good quarterback if he's got the right pieces. And this says to me that they're less likely to go out and sign a, or even draft a really good wide receiver to be opposite A.J. green. That was one of my hopes for the offseason.

[Mike Wright]

I couldn't imagine they were going to do that. They spent what was Tyler Boyd a second round pick. I'll look it up real quick, But.

[Jason Moore]

I mean 64 catches, 862 yards, six touchdowns and about a third of the money that Kenny Stills cost. It's interesting.

Is it better that, you know, they, they sign a different quarterback who's more of a pocket passer, who's going to. Maybe they turn the offense into a more prolific aired out offense which would be better for Sammy Watkins. But I think in reality there is not a capable weapon to do that with. There's not a quarterback to replace Tyrod Taylor with that could succeed in doing that. And we have had stretches, we've had an entire. Whoa. Breaking news.

Tori Smith has signed a three year deal. Is he back with the Philadelphia Eagles?

I believe I was in the middle of saying that we've seen Sammy Watkins have an entire half a year with the Bills with Tyrod Taylor, where he was a top five wide receiver, not just like, oh, hey, he was really fantasy relevant, you know, two years ago, the second half of the year. He was great. And he had obvious injuries all year last year and all career. Right. I mean, my issue with drafting Sammy Watkins is the same issue I have with drafting Keenan Allen is not talent, it's not system or opportunity. I think they're fantasy studs, but they're super duper injury prone. That I have a hard time believing that I'm getting 16 games out of either of those guys. But should you get 16 games out of those guys? They're great. And so with Tyrod Taylor back, he can throw the deep ball. He's already got the rapport to succeed with Sammy Watkins. I like the move for both Buffalo and for Sammy Watkins.

[Jason Moore]

We talked a little bit about, you know, the Eagles signing Torrey Smith just now. There are reports right now that the Eagles and the Colts are both still making a strong push to sign Alshon Jeffrey. The Colts, the Colts and Eagles are making a strong push to sign Alshon Jeffrey talks continuing with the Bears. I'll let you know if I hear anything else. Matt Harmon just tweeted too. The Colts got a chill with all these wide receivers, man. But, but, but we have said this before, right? With Aaron Rodgers, situation with different elite Quarterbacks, do you put them in the position to succeed? Now we would all say putting Andrew Luck in a position to succeed means maybe you go sign Andrew Whitworth instead of Sean Jeffrey and you fix offensive line. That being said, I think we all have realized that Philip Dorsett is not, is an ancillary replaceable number four wide receiver in the NFL. He's not an elite receiver. You start to look at Alshon Jeffrey with Ty Hilton and all of a sudden you say, okay, you're putting Andrew Luck in a position to make Andy smile for his dynasty team.

[Mike Wright]

Well, you better hope Alshon gets his young man burners going in because Andrew Luck continues to just get pummeled.

That would be unbelievable. But. So back to the Bills. An underrated piece of news I wanted to bring up was they signed Patrick DeMarco, the fullback.

They did.

Who graded out Pro Football Focus. He was the third best pass blocking fullback. And so I mean it's, that's a, that's a huge upgrade for Lashawn McCoy. And then they had to go and crush some of my hope immediately when they signed Mike Tolbert and they signed him allegedly as a, as a running back. But this sounds like more goal line vulturing. If they're going to have Gillislee and Tolbert to steal all my Shady McCoy touchdowns, I find that very unfortunate.

[Andy Holloway]

You know, it's funny that Mike Tolbert is thought of as a goal line vulture. I think he did that once upon a time. But it's been a while, I want to say in the last two years.

[Mike Wright]

Well, it's just. Why would you, why would you sign Tolbert? I just gave a good contract to a fullback. Because you wanted to have a fullback.

[Jason Moore]

As exciting as fullbacks are, let's move on and talk about some tight ends. Sure. Jack Doyle's.

[Mike Wright]

Talk about the fullback Jack Doyle signed. That's fine. We can move Jack Doyle, three year.

[Jason Moore]

$19 million contract and the Patriots traded for Dwayne Allen. The Patriots basically repeated exactly what they did last year, trading a draft pick for Martellus Bennett. This year they did it for Dwayne Allen.

[Andy Holloway]

Last year, got him a title. This year it'll get him a title.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, it always, whatever they do gets them a title. Jack Doyle, three year, nineteen million dollar contract. Jack Doyle is a tight end, number one. Wow.

[Mike Wright]

[Andy Holloway]

He's absolutely in the top twelve. I mean, with that offense, the way that Andrew Luck has always used tight ends. I also think it's wise if you're in a dynasty league. I know. Andy, you already did this.

[Jason Moore]

I did.

You know, go out and pick up Eric Swope.

[Mike Wright]

Just in case.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, well, just in case. They've usually. They've always used two tight ends in pass catching roles since Andrew Luck has been there. So. And we saw Swope come on the scene and be relevant. I think that's why you could get rid of the contract with Dwayne Allen.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah. Yeah. So Dwayne Allen in New England are people. Is he worth a flyer there? Because he looks. Is he going to score a touchdown in the first game of the year like he always does and then nothing else.

[Mike Wright]

Book that. But it'll be exactly like Martellus Bennett where it just keeps getting your hopes up until the. Then you actually play him and you get one catch for five yards.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. I mean, he's going into the exact same role as a very similar player. I mean, I don't think he's as quality as Martellus Bennett is, but he can. He's complete. Right. Just like Martellus Bennett. He can pass block, he can run block, he can catch the ball. And so you're going to have him play that role where you could not predict last year. There was no fantasy analyst last year that could predict the Martell's Bennett games because when it seemed like they were going to happen, they didn't. When they. When it didn't seem like it was going to happen, he would go out for three. And so he will have a decent season as a whole. But I think it's going to be difficult. Speaking of Dwayne Allen, I think it's going to be difficult to know when and where. But he is good. Gronk Insurance.

Brian Hoyer. Pierre Gar. Sign to the 49ers reunions with Kyle Shanahan.

[Mike Wright]

Yes.

Also Marquis Goodwin, formerly of the Bills, going to the 49ers. Let's talk 49ers, gentlemen. Is Brian Hoyer the starting quarterback for next year?

[Andy Holloway]

Kirk Cousins doesn't go. Yeah. Yeah.

If they don't make the move for Cousins, which could still happen, it's to me, it'll be Brian Hoyer. They'll have him. Bridge. They did not give him starter level money, but I think he'll be the guy for at least a year. Unless they spend their two picks on a quarterback, which I don't think they will.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. I don't.

[Mike Wright]

Do you think they would jump in on a guy.

[Andy Holloway]

The reports are that there's just no way they're they're taking them. I don't think they like a guy at that spot at the number two. I would be surprised. Maybe it's smoke the reports, but I think going out and signing Brian Hoyer says that they are bridging the gap until Kirk Cousins is their starter the following year. I mean, too much to happen between now and then, but 10 million for two years. 10 million a year basically for two years for Brian Hoyer says we can have him start and we can have him be a backup. Either way, the team's going to be fine. I think Brian Hoyer is a good fantasy quarterback. He's one of those guys that he'll throw a bunch of interceptions, but he'll throw a bunch of touchdowns. He'll air the ball out enough. He is familiar with Kyle Shanahan and.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, it didn't go very well when he was Shanahan's quarterback in Cleveland.

[Andy Holloway]

True.

[Mike Wright]

But I mean, change a change of scenery. Pierre Garcon was a just an absolute target monster under Kyle Shanahan. So maybe we can, we can get that connection with Hoyer and Garcon. And I think Goodwin, I mean that's not going to be a guy you're going to go out and sign for your fantasy team. But that's that easily replaces a deep threat. I mean, Goodwin is very, very fast.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, we're talking very, very fast. Worldly fast.

[Jason Moore]

All right. Danny Woodhead signs with the Baltimore Raven.

[Mike Wright]

Shocking.

He's fully healthy after the ACL surgery in 2016.

Hey, Kenneth Dixon, owner, how do you like that signing?

I tried to tell a Kenneth Dixon on the other day. It's just, it's going to be, it's going to be muddy there now you wonder with this signing. They tendered Terrence west right at the original round level and you have Kenneth.

[Mike Wright]

Dixon, which is, that's he was a second round pick. I think Terrence west was a very high draft pick. I'm going to, I'll check that out.

[Jason Moore]

So you have now a backfield.

[Mike Wright]

Oh, that's barf.

[Jason Moore]

You have a backfield, you know, has Danny William. Abort. You know, you have Abort Dixon and you might have Terence west in the mix. It starts to look like, okay, Baltimore is not going to use that high pick on a running back.

[Andy Holloway]

Right.

And at least it appears that way. And if they do, for goodness sakes, then who in the world would have any confidence in that running game?

[Mike Wright]

Third round for Terrence West.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. And yeah, no one's going out and spinning a third rounder for Terrence west right now with as deep as this draft class is. So you've got all three guys back. And Danny Woodhead has been a very valuable piece for every team he has ever been on in the NFL. He. Two years ago he led the league in receptions as a running back. So, you know they're not going to sign him. And you know Danny Woodhead, who the Chargers wanted anyways? The Chargers.

[Jason Moore]

They did sign him.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. Yes.

[Jason Moore]

Well, you said, you know, they're not going to sign him.

[Andy Holloway]

No, no. I was in the middle of the thought of saying, you know, they're not going to sign him, to not use him. And the Chargers wanted him and they would have paid for him. So you. So you also know that not only did they sign him, but they signed him for enough and with enough promise to say you're going to be involved here. And his pass catching role is really what I think people were excited about with. With Kenneth Dixon saying, you have some of this talent and some of the. So I agree the. The muddy water as the backfield.

[Mike Wright]

I will gladly be drafting Danny Woodhead everywhere. I think that he will go later in the drafts. And you're talking about a team. Joe Flacco threw the ball one less time than Drew Brees last year.

[Jason Moore]

How many catches did Youszczyk have last year?

[Mike Wright]

A lot.

I'd look it up, but I can't spell his last name.

But the fact that your fullback caught that many passes, I mean, he got paid and you lose Steve Smith. And so if they don't add to that wide receiving core, even more reason to believe that the tight end in the, in the backfield, the third down back can make. Make it happen. Mike Glennon signed with the Bears.

It looks official.

It's going to be a three year, $45 million deal that includes $19 million guaranteed. It's kind of interesting to me, you know, they spent that money there. They are still in the battle for Alshon to return.

[Andy Holloway]

But do you think next year that I'm just throwing this out there? Do you think next year The San Francisco 49ers are going to grossly overspend for a bad quarterback? Because this is what happens in the wake of Brian Hoyer. Brian Hoyer leaves the Texans and they go, hey, we don't want Brian Hoyer. We want. We want Brock. Hey, we don't. Hey, the Bears are like, we don't want Brian Hoyer. We don't like Lennon.

[Mike Wright]

That was almost a triple. I love Mike.

[Jason Moore]

I know.

[Mike Wright]

I like Mike Lennon, I think that he showed me enough on tape to say that he deserved to get a chance. And you say, well, he got, he got put to the side in Tampa Bay because Tampa Bay had the overall number one pick and they saw that. They, that Jameis Winston to them was a for sure franchise quarterback. And when you see a for sure franchise quarterback in your eyes, you have to take him. So I think that Mike Glennon can get some things done. He'll be interesting to see for fantasy purposes, especially if, if Alshon is back. If you have Alshon, you have Cameron Meredith. I think that's. It could be okay. He's just going to be a streaming quarterback at. But I personally like the signing.

The Dallas Cowboys are expected to release Tony Romo today. Tony Romo, we all made our predictions. I went with Houston. I believe you both went with Denver.

[Mike Wright]

Yes, I was going to say set my. Set the Denver Broncos alert.

Those are the only two destinations even being discussed at this point for Tony Romo in the rumor mill. So I'm very curious to see where he lands. I wonder if it's just going to be a situation where, you know, he picks the best fit for him. It would be very interesting for him to stay in Texas.

And play for the Texans. So we'll see what happens with Tony Romo. Not much news to report about the Seahawks. Ian Rappaport reports. The Seahawks and Jamal Charles have a mutual interest.

I could, you know, I could use this one to get on the board for my free agent predictions. It made sense to me. You've had an inability for that backfield to stay healthy over the last couple.

[Mike Wright]

So they're going to sign Jamal Charles.

[Jason Moore]

Right. The key to health is more guys that can get hurt, but not at the same time, hopefully. So this would obviously, it would damage. It would damage hopes for Rawls once again. So let's see here. Adam Thielen, second round tender by the Vikings.

[Mike Wright]

I like it.

[Jason Moore]

He almost had a thousand yards last year.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, he, he seems like he's, he.

[Jason Moore]

Said, take that, Kenny Stills.

[Andy Holloway]

And, and you know, I don't want to overstate it, but he is the speed, the hands. He's developed into a good route runner. I'm going to be really excited to see Matt Harmon's reception perception on Adam Thiel. He's one of those guys I want to see like, what are you seeing on every route run? Because you have the best quarterback in the history of completion percentage last year throwing him the ball. Now in Sam Bradford, which I was really surprised. Sam Bradford had a very good, very good real life.

[Jason Moore]

You're talking about feeling.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah.

[Jason Moore]

Oh, I. You said throwing him the ball now. So I thought maybe it was somebody else that had.

[Mike Wright]

No, no, he had him.

[Jason Moore]

You're saying last year he was. Okay, gotcha. Yeah, absolutely. By the way, the Los Angeles Rams have $80 million invested in Robert woods and Tavon Austin.

[Andy Holloway]

The best, the best wide receiver combo in the league. Right.

[Mike Wright]

Tavon doesn't really get better.

[Jason Moore]

I still believe. I totally think Tavon is a better. I think he makes more of a real NFL impact. Like we, that's the problem. Right. Like we evaluate everything through the lens of fantasy football. And so for a guy like Tavon Austin who doesn't catch as many passes necessarily or the red zone, it's hot and cold. Like I think Tavon Austin helps an actual football team more than your fantasy football team.

[Andy Holloway]

I can agree with that. But he, I don't think he helps an actual football team anywhere near his salary. I say the only thing salary is top five wide receiver in the league.

[Mike Wright]

What he's helping his football team do is when someone needs a loan and Tavon's there like I got you covered, man.

[Jason Moore]

So he's short term loans for the entire roster.

[Mike Wright]

He's the money guy. And so Tavon enjoy the season because next year he is very cuttable.

[Jason Moore]

Okay.

[Mike Wright]

Contract wise.

[Jason Moore]

All right, we'll see what happens there. There was a report this morning. Maybe it's worth discussing, maybe not. I don't think it's legitimate, but ESPN's Diana Rossini reported the Patriots are considering a trade.

[Mike Wright]

Oh, you got to talk about it.

[Jason Moore]

At least that would send Malcolm Butler to New Orleans in exchange for Brandon Cooks. I don't get the deal. I mean, I do. Like I understand Malcolm Butler, you're gonna have to pay him next year. You know, there were reports that the Patriots had, had tried to trade the 32nd overall pick for Brandon Cooks. So I think there's the smoke is turning to fire there on their desire to put Brandon Cooks on the roster. To me, I just don't understand why you would necessarily give up Malcolm Butler, a kind of consensus top five corner in the league to do it. What are your guys takes? Let's say Brandon Cooks because this is the fantasy bend he lands in. In New England. He is. Is it a lateral move? Is it an upgrade? Is it or as Jason would say a down crease?

[Mike Wright]

The crease is trending downward for me. If you, if you put him in New England, I mean there's one, he's outside. If you look at Brandon Cooks's splits of you can look home away and then you start looking indoor, outdoor. It's his. He performs poorly outdoor. Harmon actually just tweeted out a chart on Brandon Cooks. What's his success rate against coverage? Because the thing about Brandon Cooks is if you've had him on your fantasy team, you know he just. Where, where did Brandon Cooks go? He is just, he has vanished at times. Just Houdini has disappeared from games. And you look at what Matt Harmon charted out about his success rate versus coverage, it's very poor. He's got great hands, he has great speed, but he is not beating his coverage. And then you go. If you go up to the New England Patriots, no dome, no dome. I can't imagine they're going to cut Chris Hogan, Malcolm Mitchell. There's. I think they really, really like Malcolm Mitchell and there's no way that they're going to replace him. He's a, he's for the future of that team. Ammon Dole is still around. Edelman is the designated slot guy for the foreseeable future. Just where does Brandon Cooks fit in? And if you're going to talk a full, full time role, Tom Brady is fantastic. But Tom Brady's not a 5,000 yard passer like Drew Brees is. So you know that there's always going to be enough to go around for the New Orleans Saints offense. I just, I would not like this. And then on top of that, it doesn't make sense for New England's the way that they treat wide receivers. Sure, he's cheap this year. He's, you know, about 2.6 million for the contract next year would be that first round option, which is expensive. It's not franchise money, but it is nothing remotely cheap like the New England Patriots like to pay.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, yeah, I agree. By the way, it's kind of interesting. The Robert woods deal and the Kenny Steals deal, very similar money and they're both only 24 years old. Robert woods and Kenny Stills.

[Mike Wright]

I'll take Stills.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, I think, I think it depends on your team. I really do, because I was gonna say I take woods, but that's not on every circumstance. Woods is very solid. He's a, he's had over 550 yards in every single season he's played. He's kind of like just. He's not the big play threat that, that Kenny Stills is. That's for sure. So. Oh, it's hard to keep up, guys.

[Andy Holloway]

There's so Much.

[Jason Moore]

Especially when stuff's breaking right in the middle of the show. So let's talk here. I don't know if we got into Tori Smith's fantasy value in Philly. You want to hold off on that to see what happens with Alshon, Jeffrey? Yeah, okay.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, I do.

[Jason Moore]

Okay. Apparently, one of my destinations for Adrian Peterson, the Raiders. I love this news. It says that Adam Kaplan says that Adrian Peterson is more interested in joining the Raiders than the Raiders are interested in having him.

[Mike Wright]

I don't know if you're very familiar with this, but there's a, I believe a pretty popular book. It was called He's Just not that into youo.

[Jason Moore]

This is, this is the personification of that.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah. We need a new book called They're Just not that into youo, co authored by every team in the NFL on Adrian Peterson.

[Andy Holloway]

It's really tough for me to think that I'm a GM and I. The reason I picked the Raiders as the landing spot I thought he would go to is because you have to have a very specific team. You got to have a team that thinks they can win a championship if they had that running back piece this year. Because you're not even thinking, I can get two years out of Adrian Peterson. You don't know. He's already 32. You're thinking, hopefully I can get one good year out of him and I'm going to pay, you know what, 6 million.

[Mike Wright]

You're going to have to give him a decent chunk of change, more than he should get.

[Andy Holloway]

Right. And so there's very few teams, very few teams that I can even imagine that would be willing to sacrifice the future to make the run. To say Adrian Peterson puts us over the top this year.

[Jason Moore]

With the Robert woods news breaking and Marquis Goodwin already leaving Buffalo and Sammy Watkins having a history of not playing football, are we not concerned with pass catchers in Buffalo and Tyrod Taylor's? I mean, look, you lose woods, you lose Goodwin. Are you guys concerned about his potential production without anybody to catch the ball over there? I think it actually, I mean, I know you've got.

[Mike Wright]

It's not really Tyrod's, if you're talking for fantasy purposes, sure. That's not Tyrod's game. I mean, he's a 3,000 yard passer. You can find the guys off the street and plus Sammy Watkins to get you to 3,000 yards.

[Andy Holloway]

That being said, you know, had we, if we were to do our free agent prediction shows, you know, you know, on Tuesday and we start fresh, knowing everything we know now Buffalo would be a destination for me that I would say they're probably looking at wide receivers and the wide receivers that are left, I think they might go out and.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, I had somebody going there. I don't remember who it was though.

[Jason Moore]

Out of 218 qualifying wide receivers, the five worst graded wide receivers in 2016 were Dorial Green, Beckham Eagles, Alan Hearns, Tori Smith, Eagles, Jermaine Curse and then Nelson Aguilar. Three of the bottom five.

This is worst wide receivers is exactly.

[Andy Holloway]

Why I said I'm sad that he's going there because I have a note here to move Carson Wentz down because I had him down.

[Jason Moore]

I'm not gonna move him down.

[Andy Holloway]

No, no, no. But on the ranking, from your ranking yet for the ultimate draft kit that I've been kind of statting guys out, I statted him as them receiving a wide receiver one and now I know they're not going to.

[Jason Moore]

Do you think that they can acquire Alan Hearns and Jermaine Curse in time to make the full 5?

[Andy Holloway]

If they, if they give up some important pieces on, on their offensive line or their defense, then absolutely it does.

[Jason Moore]

This signing of Tory Smith as opposed to getting DeSean Jackson or Alshon Jeffrey, which they still could, but let's say they don't. Does it make a big impact on how you view Zach Ertz next year? As you know, you didn't bring in more weapons to.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, he's pretty much their wide receiver one.

[Jason Moore]

That's, that's the way it looks to me. So. All right, we'll call it a day before, you know, anything else breaks here. I wish we had some Alshon news for you, but.

[Mike Wright]

Well, the last one I'm going to throw out. Sure, go for it. Washington did tender Chris Thompson at a second round level, so they will be keeping him, which to me says I think they're less likely to make a big splash in the draft on a running back. To me you're like, we're going to move forward. We got Rob Kelly, we got Matt Jones as a backup in Thompson, there's a roll forward with that.

[Andy Holloway]

I could see that going either way. I mean, because he plays, you know, that a very different role in the offense. If they were to replace Rob Kelly, they would still go with, well, now we need Chris Thompson.

[Mike Wright]

But that's why you would. I'm talking like a big splash because if you feel like you have your third down back, you're not going to spend a top three round pick on a two down grinder.

[Andy Holloway]

To me, I think that would be good.

[Mike Wright]

I think that would be a mistake.

[Andy Holloway]

You know, just throwing it. You know, if Leonard Fournette for example were to fall there, whatever team has Leonard Fournette is going to need a really good third down back. You know, they're not going to have him be their third down, pass, catching, pass, blocking back.

[Jason Moore]
