The podcast waiver wire and unluckily, I was very low on the priority list. So we came up with my good friend Nicholas Vance.

And yeah, like I said, Andy is not here to stop it. So how did your week go? How'd your fantasy week go?

It's been a lot like the way the whole year has been for me. Downward spiral of terrible bad choices, injuries. I have never had a year this bad. I'm currently one in four or one in five. Yeah, one and five. Always say week six, though. Yeah, one in five. It's not going great. We're, of course, in a keeper league. I'm not ready to sell the farm yet, but it's one miles away.

We are a keeper league and also a draft pick can be traded. It went well for me. I ended up winning. I got to do the. The magical. I was up four or five points with. I had San Francisco's defense going into Monday.

That's right.

And we've had some debacles in our league with people getting negative points, so I pulled them. I said I'm taking no chances of Course, I should have left them in and got all those delicious points that they put up. So let's move around to. Let's move to some news and notes, news and notes from around the league. Let's hit the injury report. The bloodbath continued this week.

It's brutal.

It was. It was pretty bad. Victor Cruz out for the season. Torn patellar tendon. Darren Sprouls, slight MCL tears. What? They're saying he might miss two weeks, and I'm not sure if that two weeks means his bye week, which is coming up, and then another week.

They did not clarify.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him in after the buy, but I guess it depends on what.

He is a tough man, right?

Have they done an MRI on that yet?

Yeah, I think that's where we came up with the slight LCL tear. I'm not. I. But I'm not positive yet. Steven Ridley, he's gone acl. Eddie Royal left the game with a rib injury that we need to monitor that. Theo Riddick aggravated his hamstring, which. Detroit. I think Reggie Bush is scheduled to play this week, but if not, I mean. Joy Bell, load him up again.

Corduroyl Patterson claims he's not playing healthy, AKA I'm doing terrible because I'm hurt. I've heard. I've heard that before. I've used that before.

Or do they? Fozzie Whitaker. Yeah. Injured his quad. Jonathan Stewart, I think is back. Marvin Jones puts on the IR that just kept getting worse and worse throughout the week. And now he's gone.

Compounded by AJ Green's mysterious toe. Who AJ Green himself said, I don't think I'm playing this week. And then Coach Lewis. Oh, yeah, he might play. What does this really work? Like when coaches say, hey, you know, he's. He. He might play then. Because they want the other team to have to prepare, but.

Yeah, I mean, you're forcing somebody to prepare for a scenario that they would have prepared for, regardless.

Yeah. I don't know. I just think you sound stupid.

I agree. And it hurts us all in the fantasy world.

Yeah, it sure does. Marvin Lewis, think of the. Think of the fans, think of the children. Think of who pays your check. I mean, I guess technically the owner does, but.

Yes. I was floored. I did not expect that to happen out of that game. I was completely stunned.

Because you did not buy into the fantasy footballers.

And he went. So. He went nuts. Five touchdowns in the first quarter. I think he can actually continue this. So. Because what we do with the stud muffins is we try and think, could this player continue this? And I think Joe Flacco is gonna have a. He's set up for another decent week. I can't remember his gonna say, I.

I have it in front. He's playing the Falcons.

Gross. So. Yeah. And he. I believe it's at home. So Flacco could possibly have another game. It was very disappointing that they. Why would you not go?

With his. The problem with him all year has been his ankle. He. He ran, I think over 10 times for over 100 yards and a score, which is what elevates him beyond other quarterbacks who can't do that.

Because you have the. You can throw for 50 yards and get two points or he can run for 50 yards and get five points.

Which he still throws and he runs. So I think he. I'm not completely convinced that he's back, but I'm.

I don't know how long of a run this is going to be. I would like to see him back completely like this next week and week after. But. Wow. Do you have his schedule?

And I don't know. Now that's two games in a row right. Where he is produced and Gronk is getting healthier. Although Gronk did have a little scare in the game, but he seemed just fine. I have. I still have a hard time buying completely back into Brady where. I mean, if he's on the waiver wire, you got to pick him up.

And. Yeah, man, I don't know. I think he's maybe back, but that they're a tricky offense and they lost Ridley, so.

Maybe they're gonna throw. Brandon Oliver continued. He delivered on the waiver wire hype and he had over 100 yards of touchdown. Darren McFadden.

Look, if you go back and look in Sanu's numbers, he has been a fantasy monster.

I think he has one dud this this year. And it all arrows pointing up for Sanu. No AJ Green this week. Unless you're Marvin Lewis and you think your guy with a torn ligament or whatever's in his toe. And so Sanu is. Hopefully you picked him up because he, I'm sure he's long gone. And then I, this is one's unfortunate for me because I just, I don't like him. And not like, not I don't like him as a person, but. Well, I don't like his stupid touchdown dance.

But the volcano finally erupted. Ty Hilton destroyed for 223 yards and a touchdown. And probably should have had another one, except he got swiped, he got grazed and I don't know, I just, I was not high on him. I'm still not, I'm still, I'm not.

If I have Vereen, I guess I'm still gonna hold him and hope that his value goes up.

So I think I am starting him just because of Thursday Night Massacre.

Yeah, I think so. So the. And just another psa. Please give her a Thursday Night Football. Although last week turned. I'm so. They were so happy because it turned into a game, but that thing was a blowout forever. And then Fitzmagic did not have enough Fitzmagic.

Yeah, I mean, I like the football week to be spread out like this. I just don't like it to be every Thursday at this rate.

I mean, I just want the quality to improve.

Exactly. You're not only rushed on fantasy, but furthermore, every player is not as well prepared. We're seeing all these home team blowouts week after week, like you said, minus this last week, which still that turned out to be a great game. Luckily. I don't know. I'm torn.

Yeah. And that's just selfish of us for thinking of fantasy.

But I did.

I had a friend of mine who was asking me about some guys for Sunday and he was. Because he was asking about Floyd, who I ranted about. I loved Floyd this week, but we weren't sure at this time if Palmer or Stanton were going to play. And he had Hopkins. I was like, you have to put Hopkins in because we don't know right now if Floyd. Even though Floyd was my start of the week, I just. Because I thought Stanton was going to get cleared sooner. And it just. It was a mess. And he couldn't use him right. Because he was forced. His hand was forced to. To avoid that. Avoid Weapon X. Logan Thomas. Man, that guy's not ready.

Speaking of Hopkins also pants be pooped.

Oh, yes. Yeah. And then I felt really bad for telling my friend to play Hopkins. Oh, yeah. He did not produce. There was a lot of points scored and Hopkins didn't want. And Hopkins, did you. So did you analyze the last play where the Fitzpatrick fumbled?

Oh, my goodness. And DeAndre Hopkins is. He just freezes. The fumble could have been his, but he made a complete business decision of. I'm not getting in there. But if you go back and you watch the film, it looks like he could have gotten the ball, but he does this. I'm trying to get the fumble.

Derek Carr against the Cardinals. Now what's funny and I imagine this is for. For other people as well but we're. I'm an Arizona guy. I love the Cardinals. I watch every snap and our defense is based banged up despite what happened when Cousins imploded. We give up huge plays. That's so that's back to back weeks where we've had huge plays. Andre Holmes, it will not shock me if Andre Holmes gets a big one this week and we don't have a pass rush. The only way Arizona can rush the passer is by sending five or six guys and when that happens the court as long as the Quarterback is competent. He's going to find the open person. But it's funny seeing where I was watching NFL Network and they're talking, man, we like that Arizona defense. Like, did you guys watch the game? I don't think you did because they sucked for three quarters of the game.

That makes things so much better for his and much easier for his wide receivers. The only downside is Cam Newton. The only person that Cam Newton loves more than Kelvin Benjamin is Cam Newton. The. When he gets in the five, he loves to call his own number.

Yeah. And that's what I believe. And Benjamin's huge red zone end zone guy. I am going to my tight end. He's back. I'm taking Jordan Reed. As long as he is still healthy, he's another guy who gets hurt when he takes a nap. Yeah, they're playing. Washington's playing the Titans this week and we weren't sure. Because Niles Paul has been playing well. How much, how much action would Jordan Reed actually get now? He was eased in. He didn't play an incredible amount of snaps.

I should have worked better to make a better caricature voice of him, but I've got like zero. So I'm gonna choose for quarterback Kirk Cousins, who's playing against the Titans.

I know. Is it weird? Like zero time or effort? So I don't disagree with the Kirk Cousins thing. The Titans minus week one, they haven't had a great secondary defense at all.

They don't rush the passer enough or they can't get to him enough. Better to say. And the fact that it was as close as it was against Jacksonville. I think Kirk Cousins is going to have a great day against Titans. Yes.

I would completely agree with this pick for a streamer. Cousins, I mean, yeah, he's turning the ball over. He's also putting up huge fantasy numbers.

The Vikings is. They are a mess right now. Their, their defense is actually not. It's not terrible. But the, their offense is not been doing very well.

Well, that. And you can see almost every game at the point where the defense is just realizing we're not playing for anything. Right.

And I don't think the Brandon Cooks trickery is going to work against the Lions. The bubble screens, short quick passes. I just, I don't, I don't think that's gonna work. I think the, the dumps to Thomas and then hitting Colston for a mid range right in the mid range is going to be the, the bread and butter for the Saints this week.

And so don't worry about C.J. anderson. I might gamble on putting Thompson on my roster because who knows how long Hillman will stay in favor.

I don't know where they rank at that right now. I don't have that stat right in front of me. But yeah, I can. I can definitely see Hillman having a good day. And he's definitely the back to have from Denver.

From Denver. All right, last one of taking fantasy footballers versus the world. Larry Fitzgerald versus the Raiders or Keenan Allen versus the Chiefs. Larry Fitzgerald had, I think his best game of the year last week.

He looked good. Keenan Allen has been bad. Yeah, he is not. And what's so crazy about Keenan Allen's disappearance is Philip Rivers is dominating.

Yeah, he's one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now.

He is just dominating. And I think maybe some of what's going on is he's just finding whoever he. Maybe his vision is working on all cylinders right now where he's finding the open guy, making the correct pass instead of force feeding. He's not going Stafford with Calvin Johnson right of where Calvin Johnson's the first, second, third and fourth read. Rivers is actually going through his progressions and maybe Keenan Allen's not getting open. I don't necessarily know what's going on. He. Allen, he was pretty touchdown dependent last year.

He still had some good yardage games, but. So back to the game. Larry Fitzgerald, Keenan Allen, who do you got?

I'm gonna go with Fitzgerald. I think that game, Arizona versus Oakland is going to be a shootout.

Do we trade Eddie Lacy and Mohammed Sanu for Jamal Charles? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah. So here's what we will break down. Sanu is on fire.

He's the guy now for Andy Dalton. Andy Dalton has. Has been a. He is a monogamous quarterback.

That's very true.

He finds. He finds his bromance on the field, and he sticks with it.

Anu can end up at least second or third ring for first or third.

And for all the. For all the hype and excitement following one game of Eddie Lacy being back.

Right.

[B]

And now he. The other Eddie Lacy's back.

Yeah, maybe.

And lots of James Stark snaps. So would you trade that pair for Jamal Charles, who is. His season has actually been a bit up and down as well.

Yes. I think it is a completely fair trade, but with AJ Green out, I think you have to keep Sanu for the time being. And Lacey's a serviceable back. Yeah, that's what I would stick with.

The value of Charles is there.

If you have other receivers who you are okay with, then I'm gonna make the trade. Yeah, but it's funny that Mohammed Sanu is the tipping point for this. A guy you grabbed off of waivers. You're like, I'm not trading that guy.

Yeah, but. So I. I mean, I guess here is your chance to get the value for him. Because that's a.

That's also a very good point.

Right. Right now. You could sell him high and that.

This is a. This is difficult because the. I always like to have the best player in the trade, and that's Jamal Charles.

Ben Tate has looked. He's looked good. He. It was a bit of a slow start against Pittsburgh. The Crow was actually outperforming him. But then Ben take out the goal line carries. Ellington has had this foot thing which we're not hearing anymore about the foot. And he seems okay. I'm going to take Ellington.

I'm going to take Ellington for the rest of the season.

I think it's a combination of Crow and injury.

Should I trade Jeremy hill for Jerick McKinnon now? Jerick McKinnon we haven't really talked much about. We probably should have talked about him earlier. It seemed like.

What is all that rattle they're redoing the A.C.

Jerick McKinnon. The. Yeah. We're not sure if it's permanent.

[A]

Right.

[B]

But last week the guard changed. Matt. Matt Slowman, Plotter Asiata got usurped by Jerick McKinnon. McKinnon got the. The bulk of the carries. And Jeremy Hill is. He's actually had. He said, fine standalone value in our league format. He's averaging 10 points a week.

[A]

Yeah.

[B]

Which for a lower end running back, that's fine. Maybe a flex play.

[A]

Yeah.

[B]

However, Geo, he hurt his shoulder. It looked pretty bad. He came back in the game, so we think he's okay. We haven't heard anything else, but if Gio Bernard goes down to me, Jeremy Hill is an instant running back. One.

[A]

Absolutely. So Running back two minimum.

[B]

So if you. If you have the. If you have Geo on your team, there's no way you make this trade. But let's say you do not. You used to have Jeremy Hill. Are you going to tell. Are you going to hold on to him with that lottery ticket or are you going to pick up the. The other scratcher of Jericho?

[A]

Yeah, I mean both of these are gambles. I actually really like Jeremy Hill. I think that right now it would be worth getting Jerick just with Jeremy not with Jeremy Hill not starting. I think right now you have the chance to get more out of Jerk.

[B]

Yeah. If you don't have Geo. If you have Geo, you're not trading Jeremy Hill.

[A]

But hold on to your handcuff if you.

[B]

If you do not. I think I'm going to take the chance on McKinnon turning into something.

[A]

Right.

[B]

I think it's not that we weren't sure of this but the. But Peterson is. He's not playing this year and then watch he's going to.

[A]

We're all like this Justin breaking.

[B]

We're all. Peterson is done. And then for the fantasy playoffs, whoever held on to him, it just gets an automatic win. But I'm going with Jerick McKinnon. And our last email of the day from Anthony is a trade question. Would you trade Matt Ryan, Fred Jackson and the aforementioned Jerick McKinnon? So it's a three bagger. Matt Ryan, Fred Jackson, Jerick McKinnon four Big Ben and Lashawn McCoy.

I think that's another quarterback. Maybe Big Ben to me should be like waiver fuel. Like just somebody to get.

[B]

He's off your quarterback one list.

[A]

Yeah, exactly. I don't have. I mean you, you know this personally from our conversations. I'm not huge into quarterbacks because once you go out of the top eight, six even like the point differential is not huge. It's a week to week thing. So I would personally hold on to Matt Ryan, fred Jackson and McKinnon. Shady McCoy or I mean, yeah, Shane McCoy's wonderful but there's more value you can get in there.

Now. This is surprisingly close for me. Matt Ryan. I have, I have growing concerns for Matt Ryan in Atlanta. The O line is in shambles. He seems to only be good at home, which is 50% of your game.

[A]

Right? That is a good point.

[B]

Oh man. I really like Fred Jackson as an RB2 McKinnon.

[A]

This might be worth just getting Sean McCoy.

[B]

That's what I'm saying here. The, the downgrade from Matt Ryan to.

[A]

Big Ben is completely tolerable in my opinion.

[B]

Yeah. I don't. At the beginning of the year, it seemed unfathomable. Right. But I think now it might not be too bad. And you can also find streamers.

And yeah, I'm taking Big Ben and Shady.

Yeah, I think I'm changing my. So I can. So I can plug.

I can plug Shady in. I got that RB1 super stud who seems to be back.

Yeah, maybe.
