Andy Holloway
Oh, welcome in. It's baseball time.
Jason Moore
No, redo it. Redo it. Redo the show. Start over.
Andy Holloway
It's not baseball time.
Jason Moore
No, it's not. Never baseball time.
Andy Holloway
Look at your compadre over here. Your best friend's wearing a.
Jason Moore
It's hoodie time. I'll grant you that.
Andy Holloway
He's wearing a Twins hoodie. Yeah, I thought that's what he was trying to say.
Jason Moore
People wear Yankees gear all the time just for fashion. They're not baseball fans.
Andy Holloway
I mean, like, you know, Kirby Puckett fan over here.
Mike Wright
The pitchers and catchers is like tomorrow, right?
Andy Holloway
Probably. Is it really?
Mike Wright
I don't know.
Andy Holloway
It's got to be soon.
Mike Wright
It's got to be February.
Andy Holloway
I mean, I just assumed.
Mike Wright
That's the mlb. That's when they're like, you know what? Football, It's February. We're going to take over pitchers and catchers.
Andy Holloway
Why isn't anybody else show up? Why is it just them? You ever think of that?
Jason Moore
I literally, I literally have no idea.
Andy Holloway
What you're talking about. Maybe you could hit a little bit if the hitters showed up.
Jason Moore
Is there a part of baseball where only pitchers?
Mike Wright
It's the spring training.
Andy Holloway
Spring training starts and pitchers and catchers show up first. I don't know why. I don't know why.
Jason Moore
I mean, I guess you got OTAs in football where it's just the offense. It's like, why is the defense there? It's because like, well, the office is more important.
Andy Holloway
So wait, OTAS is only offense. No, that's not true.
Mike Wright
No, weirdo. It's always not.
Andy Holloway
That's how you think of it because it's your players you're paying attention to.
Jason Moore
Rookie. Rookie camp.
Andy Holloway
Okay, that's better.
Jason Moore
All right.
Andy Holloway
Pitchers and catchers first. I don't know. I don't know why. Yeah, they need more practice.
Jason Moore
Welcome to the baseball.
Mike Wright
Well, because, I mean like if you're playing outfield, I mean, how many plays a game do you come in one day?
Andy Holloway
One day before the season starts?
Mike Wright
You still know how to catch. Yeah. Okay. It's good enough, man.
Andy Holloway
Well, this is all because Mike's wearing a Twins hoodie.
Mike Wright
Yeah. And I'm looking good.
Andy Holloway
Favorite Twins player is Kirby Puckett all time or you got like some Tory Hunter in there?
Mike Wright
My favorite. Johan Santana is my favorite.
Andy Holloway
Welcome to Twins Talk. Jason, what are your thoughts?
Jason Moore
I think tuned in for the wrong channel.
Andy Holloway
Nasty Joe Mauer hour. All right. We're actually going to still talk football. That's what we do year round. And congrats to everybody that just brought home a title in week 18. The 10%. Hopefully that's a full 10% of champions.
Mike Wright
And I thought week 18 was. I watched Red Zone pretty much the entirety of the day. We like I wasn't in the office doing the, you know, the, the bajillion screens melt your brain. But I Red Zone the whole day. I thought it was a. It was a fun day of football.
Jason Moore
The. The morning started really slow and wonky, but towards the end of the morning games, especially when there was like the back and forth between the Falcons outcome versus the Buccaneers outcome, that there was a lot of exciting stuff. Unfortunately, the incredible, much anticipated game that we were waiting for between the Vikings and the Lions did not come to fruition offensively.
Mike Wright
It did not. I like and I know it goes against everything I say because like I want high powered offensive offensive games, but when it's like the one is on the line, I'm okay with a lower scoring game because the stakes are so incredibly high and I have no fantasy implications.
Andy Holloway
We would have gotten a more exciting game if much like you watching Red Zone, the Vikings could handle their business in the red zone.
Mike Wright
Yeah, the Vikings. Sam Darnold was not good. Justin Jefferson, he was missing. He was missing players high very often. Justin Jefferson was not an elite wide receiver that he needed to be multiple times during that game. So it was. I'm sure that opinions on the Vikings making a move in the playoffs has shifted Dramatically for people.
Andy Holloway
We. Well, they're the five seed now, right. So what I'm saying was just look.
Mike Wright
You'Re like, how can you. I'm sure I'm saying, people, how can you have faith in this team? And Sam Darnold, when the, when the lights were the brightest for Sam Darnold, he, you know, I'm not saying they will. I'm just saying I'm still in on Minnesota. I think they're a great team.
Andy Holloway
I still feel like it's just a player too. You know what I mean? It really was like those, those red zone conversions. We didn't get the high scoring game. We're going to talk through NFL News, we'll talk through the studs of the week and we've got the footy nominations on today's show.
Mike Wright
No, not yet. Not yet.
Andy Holloway
No saying yet. Jason.
Jason Moore
That's just a.
Andy Holloway
It's baseball time. It's baseball time.
Jason Moore
That's enough.
Andy Holloway
He's like really upset. So we got that going on. A couple of headlines at the top here. I want to let people know we did this last year. We're doing it again. Our DFS pass, which is the single greatest value in the entire universe, is free making it. Is it a value of something free?
Mike Wright
Yeah, it's an extreme. It's an infinite value.
Andy Holloway
So we make it free during the playoffs so that those of you that didn't get to use it during the year get to get in there and use the DFS tools and read the articles and see all of the amazing content put out by our DFS team, our dfs embedding team, dfspass.com you can use the optimizer. It's all free right now. Just go to dfspass.com you get it free for the playoffs and you can try it out and see if it's something you want to use next year. So check that out. And then I'm going to throw a shout out to a couple guys here at the studio because they put this together last year. They did it again. Everyone wants to make a playoff bracket. We've all made them here. I think I made some people freak out because of my super bowl pick. It's.
Mike Wright
It's a pick.
Andy Holloway
They built a tool.
Mike Wright
They're not even in the playoffs. That's how crazy it is.
Andy Holloway
That's right. It was the Bears. No, my playoff picks dot com. Completely free. It just lets. It's a tool that lets you make a playoff bracket. It just pops up with the matchup and you choose the winners and it gives you a bracket and you can compare with your friends.
Jason Moore
And it's really nice because you can't just do the classic, like, March Madness bracket because the NFL recedes. So depending on who you pick, it doesn't just always go like your classic piece of paper bracket, where, well, then that team goes and plays this team from that side of the bracket. So it makes it really, really nice for you. Very easy. Brooksy and Schneider did a great job putting that together.
Andy Holloway
And so that's just a cool tool. I will ask you right here, right now, having used that tool, who are your finalists and who is your super bowl champion? Because I. I will save my controversial pick till the end.
Mike Wright
I have. After going through the bracket, I have it being Baltimore v. Philadelphia and who wins it? I have Baltimore winning.
Jason Moore
Okay, I have it. Philadelphia v. Kansas City. Hey, I know. And I've got Kansas City.
Mike Wright
Big ref over here.
Jason Moore
I've got Big Red winning another one.
Andy Holloway
Kansas City Basic.
Jason Moore
I mean, I just did what I.
Andy Holloway
Think'S going to happen, you know, Jason.
Mike Wright
Oh, I know, lad.
Andy Holloway
Minus 310. All right. I am taking the Detroit Lions.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Andy Holloway
Who were my preseason pick to get that.
Mike Wright
That one makes sense. Yeah.
Andy Holloway
And I actually. I have the. I don't. I have the. I have the Chargers in the super bowl via upsetting the Chiefs in the divisional round and then upsetting the Bills in the conference championship for whatever stupid reason. I'm not just trying to be hot takey. I just feel like the Chargers are kind of built to win in the playoffs, and we will see what happens. That is not. The odds of that are plus 2800 or something ridiculous right now. So not high odds.
Mike Wright
And how long did it take Harbaugh to get there the first time?
Andy Holloway
Two years.
Mike Wright
Was it two? It was really fast.
Andy Holloway
I have Detroit, though, winning against the Chargers in the Super Bowl. So if you're still with us, we'll.
Mike Wright
Move on to year two. They were 13 and three there when you took over for San Francisco. And then second year, they got to the Super Bowl.
Andy Holloway
So Chiefs. Mike, you have the Ravens.
Mike Wright
I got the Ravens.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, that'd be fun to see. And. And I'm going Lions winning it all. All right, let's talk some news.
Jason Moore
News and notes from around the league, presented by USAA Insurance.
Andy Holloway
I see we fixed our graphics today. Oh, okay. That was going to be pretty fundamental to your employment. No. Congrats on the trophy that's sitting there. And we'll sit there, apparently for the rest of the entire calendar year.
Mike Wright
Why would it Not.
Jason Moore
Good point.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. All right. The Patriots have fired Gerard Mayo.
Mike Wright
Yeah. It didn't go well.
Andy Holloway
They could have. It didn't go well, but then it didn't go poorly enough either, because they should have had the number one pick. Now they have the fourth pick and no head coach.
Mike Wright
He coach said, we're going out. We're playing to win. You know, draft pick, be darned. I don't care.
Jason Moore
And that was not the reason he got fired. He got fired not because he, you know.
Mike Wright
No.
Jason Moore
Wasted away that first pick, but because he was not a good enough head coach. I mean, that was just the truth. He was not ready for this job even. You know, Kraft came out and talked about how when the interviews. When he was coming up, Gerard Mayo was coming up for other interviews, he got scared that he was going to lose them and that he was the heir apparent. He was kind of that handpicked guy. So he put him in. And I mean, the truth was, he just wasn't. He wasn't that guy. And if. You know it. You know, it.
Andy Holloway
The.
Mike Wright
I mean, you know what if. If you weren't paying attention, Sunday, it was the Patriots versus the Buffalo Bills. So division rival laid down, and the Patriots lost their number one pick. I mean, that. And your. Your seed doesn't change for the Buffalo Bills. Like, that is. That's. That's winning.
Jason Moore
Yeah, that's. That's some good.
Mike Wright
That's long.
Jason Moore
Good ball by the Bills.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
It's funny, though, to think. I mean, we've been doing this long enough to know when the roles were perfectly reversed. I mean, they were. It was the New England on top of everything, doing everything right. And Buffalo was laughing. Stuck.
Jason Moore
But they also. I mean, it's easier to win when you put in your star rookie quarterback. And that's what happened for the first time all season for the Patriots, Mr. Joe Milton.
Mike Wright
Bazooka Joe.
Andy Holloway
He did make a couple. Bazooka Joe's great. I hope he's now the starter for that.
Mike Wright
That one's not mine. I saw that one on Twitter.
Andy Holloway
Well, he does have a bazooka.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Nobody can throw the football.
Jason Moore
It was very Josh Allen esque.
Andy Holloway
He. He had a couple throws. One was called back. Touchdown to Demario Douglas. That was incredible. Doug Peterson fired. Goodbye.
Mike Wright
Oh, man.
Andy Holloway
They have the fifth pick.
Mike Wright
Oh, Doug Peterson.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
You hire Doug Peterson. What is it? Is it two years? Is that the run?
Jason Moore
Bring him in a year or two. Give him a couple years and let him go out on top. Tell him to retire like. Well, I'm not going to fire you, but just retire because you're doing awesome.
Andy Holloway
It's like he comes in and he cleans the locker room up real nice and sparkly clean, but then never.
Mike Wright
Yeah, it doesn't maintain.
Andy Holloway
Doesn't maintain. The Giants, they're going to retain Brian Dable and their general manager.
Jason Moore
I definitely think retaining Brian Dabel is the right route here. He, he appears to me still to be a good coach. He's been working with not a lot. So I don't know about the GM situation, but Day ball is the type of guy that I think if they let him go, he would be interviewed immediately for at least at coaching jobs or go get another OC job.
Andy Holloway
You, you imagine they're going to bring in their new quarterback of the future and it's hard to want somebody, you know, get somebody as good as able to potentially help that quarterback alone.
Mike Wright
They have a weird navigating though. They are pick three, Tennessee is the first overall pick. I can't imagine they don't take a quarterback.
Andy Holloway
Yep.
Mike Wright
And then the Cleveland Browns are number two quarterback. Maybe. Maybe.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, maybe they should.
Jason Moore
They definitely should.
Andy Holloway
And then, you know, they could be. They could be a trading team, too.
Mike Wright
That's more what I mean of like, is it, is it better for the Browns to just trade down, acquire a bunch of assets because they're not ready to get on the. On the rookie quarterback contract.
Andy Holloway
The Colts will retain Shane Steichen and Chris Ballard.
Mike Wright
That one was surprising.
Andy Holloway
I don't think the vibes there were good all year. Chris Ballard's pretty proven. Shane Steichen, I don't know if he knew what he was doing this year. He felt very similar to Gerard Mayo. To me, it's from press conferences and decision making.
Mike Wright
It's like two years, though of collapse.
Jason Moore
Right at the end.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Down the stretch, I mean, you had one of the worst games of the season, of the whole season. One of the most surprising outcomes in Week 17, to let the Colts just get annihilated by a team they were super favored over where they had to win. When that game ended, I thought Steichen would not be back. But this is also a team that has not been that bad. They're, you know, they were in the playoff hunt.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Last year and this year it didn't happen. But this isn't a team that I think continuity also matters. So probably a good move.
Andy Holloway
If you're talking about keeping somebody there. You talk about, hey, he had to deal with injuries at the quarterback position that rotated guys through and didn't get stability ever. You know, it's. It's a questionable hire though. I don't know if he's going to work out. Mike McDaniel is staying with the Dolphins.
Jason Moore
So it seems like if your quarterback missed a bunch of games. Daniel Jones, Anthony Richardson, Tua. You got like the free passes.
Andy Holloway
Is that the Mike McCarthy prognostication?
Jason Moore
We'll find out.
Andy Holloway
Because he's a winner, Jason.
Jason Moore
He is a winner. He wins Super Bowl a long time ago.
Mike Wright
Man, that he got so fired up. And that clip is just a chef's kiss. It's so good.
Andy Holloway
Ken Dorsey fired as the offensive coordinator of the Browns. Ryan Grubb out after one year in Seattle.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
And Lou Annarumo who has been a. At one point a head coaching candidate after the dominant Bengals defensive years ago when they went to the super bowl fired bad defense this year in Cincinnati and kind of. I mean if you just. The Cincinnati year is one of the more disappointing ones because you got. You got an MVP season from Burrow. To me, if they win that division, they win all those close games. He's the MVP of football first.
Mike Wright
Did you see the Burrows, the passing leader? Jamar Chase is a triple crown winner and then they have the lead most sacks with Hendrickson. Yeah. On the same exact team. And this team barely finished 500 and did not make the playoffs.
Andy Holloway
Doesn't that reflect on the head coach too?
Mike Wright
Oh, I Definitely not if you ask him.
Jason Moore
Right.
Mike Wright
Somebody you go talk to Lou about that.
Andy Holloway
This is head's got a roll with the coordinator first.
Jason Moore
Zach Taylor drives me crazy. I don't know that he is a bad coach. Like. I'm not saying he is just bad. You should fire him. But he definitely makes very bad decisions frequently. So you are.
Andy Holloway
You do get your feathers in game.
Jason Moore
He drives me nuts. So I don't know. Whatever. He's got Joe Burrow. So he wins a lot of games. Hard to fire him. But I think they could do a lot better than Zach Taylor. And just imagine, just imagine like oh, there's all these coaching openings, right. And it's like the coaches. Right. Ben Johnson is the bell of the ball this year. He's going to get to pick where he wants to go. Now just imagine one of these spots has Joe Burrow.
Andy Holloway
That could have a lot to do with who Burrow wants right now.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
I mean Burrow, my T. Higgins is the answer to that question.
Andy Holloway
He does. Yeah. Yeah. Zay Flowers left the Browns game knee spray not considered long term. But could miss the wild card game against The Steelers.
Mike Wright
I. Can I change my pick?
Jason Moore
I don't think they need Zay Flowers.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, they don't need Steelers. I think they're the biggest favorites.
Jason Moore
They are. Last I saw was nine, nine and a half point favorites over the Steelers. They need Zay Flowers. Assuming that it's going to be the Bills. They would need. They would need him there.
Andy Holloway
Blake Corum out for the playoffs. Broken forearm in the Sunday game. Christian Watson. I don't want to be trite with injuries. It's tempting with Watson's history to look at. Look, they can't figure out how to help him run properly. He tore his acl, suffered additional damage. It had always been soft tissue issues and banged up all year and now towards ACL and could miss well into 2025.
Jason Moore
So much promise, so much time and.
Andy Holloway
The playoffs, obviously, and it really sucks.
Mike Wright
The packers are legitimately so much better when Christian Watson play, even if he's not the one making the big plays. The offense is just objectively better. So this is. The packers are limping into the playoffs.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, they are. And Jordan Love, he had exited with a right elbow contusion.
Mike Wright
Could have returned that numb hand.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Jalen just super cold.
Mike Wright
I said.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, like I knew what that meant.
Jason Moore
Oh, did you not hear about that?
Andy Holloway
No, no. I mean, he couldn't feel his hand. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I know what a numb hand is.
Jason Moore
Okay, so what were you saying? You.
Andy Holloway
He said he's got that numb hand. Like that's a thing.
Mike Wright
Well, it just happened.
Andy Holloway
Like it's a normal thing.
Mike Wright
Just happened to Josh Allen.
Andy Holloway
Oh, did it?
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Oh, okay. So it's that number.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
All right.
Jason Moore
Come on.
Andy Holloway
It's the numb hand. Jalen hurts still in concussion protocol. No new information.
Mike Wright
I have new information that he will not be in the concussion protocol for this weekend. It's funny how those things and that's. He might still be in it, but he will be playing this weekend.
Andy Holloway
Four and a half point home favorites against Green Bay.
Mike Wright
Yeah. They're guessing that Jalen Hurts is going to play.
Jason Moore
It's so not fair because, I mean, I. I would be impressed if somehow they kept him out of this game because he. If in the situation where he would need to not play that they would actually not play him. But did either of you pick. The whole world knows.
Andy Holloway
Did either of you pick the Rams to win the wild card game?
Jason Moore
That was very, very close to me, but I did not.
Andy Holloway
They are the. That's the closest game.
Mike Wright
Minnesota.
Andy Holloway
Minnesota -1,2. The second closest game. Chargers are favored on the road against Houston. Two and a half point favorites.
Mike Wright
Oh, Houston.
Andy Holloway
Then Tampa's favored by 3. I actually took Washington in that game. Did either of you take Washington?
Jason Moore
I think I did.
Mike Wright
I did not. The Bucks, they're a weird team, man. They're like, to me, they're one of the lower seeds that can actually, like, I think they can make a run, sure. I think that the Bucks are good enough, but they're, they're, sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't. I mean, they, they had to barely showed up. They had to pull off a comeback win against the Saints and Spencer Rattler.
Jason Moore
I got two scores, right?
Mike Wright
Yes, it was, it was like, it was dire. And then the second half, I finally turned it on. So it, they're such a strange team.
Andy Holloway
With Mr. McMillan getting it done.
Mike Wright
Touchdowns. That's all he does.
Andy Holloway
That was today's News and Notes presented by USAA Insurance. Learn more@usaa.com insurance we'll take a break. We'll hit the studs.

Andy Holloway
All right, let's talk studs.
Jason Moore
This week's fantasy stud muffins.
Andy Holloway
This is a fun group of quarterbacks to talk about, by the way. No duds today. It's all studs today. And then we'll get into the footy nominations. The fantasy football awards.
Mike Wright
The greatest awards in the known, known universe.
Andy Holloway
Yes. Yes. Bryce Young.
Mike Wright
Yeah, baby.
Jason Moore
This is so good for Football Week.
Andy Holloway
18.36.4 against Atlanta. I knew Atlanta would. Atlanta. They did. They did. Atlanta. They lost.
Mike Wright
They did lose.
Andy Holloway
They were in overtime before they knew Tampa.
Mike Wright
Yes. I think they, they were like, they got the note, like, paging Atlanta, the Bucks have won as you're going out for the coin toss.
Andy Holloway
So, yeah, you were still 38 points of mistakes before that.
Mike Wright
But I'm saying in overtime, you got to be crestfallen. Your hearts are broken. But Bryce Young not only, like, this wasn't just a. He was good for fantasy. It was Bryce Young, like, he was awesome, including a full Steph Curry. No, look, after the, after he threw the ball, he's like, this is a touchdown. I'm turning around. It's going to be a cool celebration. And I think, I think it was to Sanders who double caught the ball. If you actually watch what happened. But this is, it's so exciting if Bryce. You have been Mr. Bryce, because I want every single. I want all 32 quarterbacks to be awesome. When a quarterback comes out and they're drafted and then they suck, like, it hurts me. It hurts my heart because I want that kid to be good and I want an entertaining product. And it all starts with the quarterbacks. And two games into this year, right, he got benched. And it was, this is the end. This is the end of Bryce Young. And then he came back with an absolute fury. And it wasn't just this week. I mean, it's been basically since he got on bench that he's been playing extremely well. It's weird, the transformation from what he was in week one and two to this guy is you can't even recognize him.
Andy Holloway
I don't want to take any credit away from his mental change and transformation because he had to go through what he went through. But Dave Canalis, oh sure. It means it's cool to see that come to fruition. Putting your players in a position to win.
Jason Moore
I love that he got benched when he wasn't playing well enough and got brought back because it is really. It's a confidence thing. Like that's when you watch Bryce Young play the last month and a half. Two months.
Mike Wright
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jason Moore
It's. He looks so much more confident. Yeah he's like having fun on the.
Mike Wright
Field and he looks like no, I can make that throw. He looks like he went in his head. He's doing the Brett Favre. I can complete any throw on this field.
Andy Holloway
Bo Nicks was number two.
Jason Moore
Holy moly.
Andy Holloway
Which this was a just whooping. Including a hilarious catch. I mean that. Yeah the Vale watch that double, you know, deflection catch by Vale. It seems improbable that they could have stayed in bounds but they did.
Jason Moore
Bo Nix, the first month of the season had one total passing touchdown. And now he has the second most for a rookie quarterback. Let me ask you this. The last eight games. So the second half of the season. Bonix.
Andy Holloway
Bonix.
Jason Moore
How many passing touchdowns do you think that pace would be? The whole the entire second half of.
Andy Holloway
The season, how many games? Eight or eight or nine.
Jason Moore
The last eight games. 17 game pace.
Andy Holloway
I'm going to guess 35.
Jason Moore
There would be so many. 44.6 with 4300 passing yards.
Mike Wright
Let's go.
Jason Moore
I mean the offense has been so.
Andy Holloway
Mike's talking about he wants them youngsters.
Mike Wright
We need it and we next generation. We've had so many crops of quarterbacks that were these guys can't miss. I'm guessing then they're whiffing Jason.
Andy Holloway
I'm guessing with a 44 touchdown pace. That's got to put Troy Franklin on.
Jason Moore
Pace for dozens of targets.
Andy Holloway
Marvin Mims, two more touchdowns.
Jason Moore
Dude, he's coming alive. I loved him coming out of college. It's nice to see them actually use him.
Mike Wright
He's going to be so impossible next year. He played on 31% of the snaps.
Andy Holloway
He is making the most of his opportunities. Justin Herbert346 got the dub, good efficiency. Kyler Murray when it doesn't matter.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Thanks for nothing.
Andy Holloway
Kyler put up for one to McBride, one to Harrison. A couple to dorch thanks buddy. The footy awards has a players that let you down category, right. Based on their draft position and where you took them and who hurt you the most. I mean prequel or preview of that, you know Travis Etienne's in there, right. Kyler's not on that list because there's a lot of names that are more worthy. Kyler is in the ring of honor of that list. He's been the most frustrating for the most people that I've seen for the.
Mike Wright
I mean because the first half, yeah, there's a lot of. There's a lot of bad games in there but there's actual really good ones before the bye week and then he did. Then it all just, it fell apart for fantasy.
Andy Holloway
You just talked about Bo Nix's pace. What was the touchdown total?
Jason Moore
The 44 point something.
Andy Holloway
So Kyler's last seven games played, 21 touchdown pace with four 19 interceptions. That includes this past week where he threw no picks.
Mike Wright
It's been a bummer.
Andy Holloway
So I mean that is if you, if you take out this week 14 touchdown pace with 22 picks. Yeah, that is, that's out of the league numbers. Geno Smith against the Rams second group.
Jason Moore
Got his millions of dollars.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, 223 and 4 and the win. Michael Penix Jr. 312 and 2. What'd you think of Pennix Jr. This week? Mike, you're the.
Mike Wright
I thought it was. I mean he's 21 of 38. It was like I've seen, I think I've seen enough from, from Pennix to be confident moving forward that he can become a franchise quarterback. I mean there are already the rumors of they're going to try and trade Kirk Cousins or they're fine with him being the backup.
Jason Moore
So.
Andy Holloway
Which Cousins will not be fine with. It's like he's already, he's not doing that.
Jason Moore
I mean I would imagine teams would want.
Mike Wright
He may not have a choice because he signed the contract and has all that guaranteed money. But I'm excited for Pennix but it's not completely there yet.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I agree he still looks like a rookie but he showed enough to where your glass half full going forward.
Andy Holloway
Jameer Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, Derek Henry Miles Sanders.
Mike Wright
Yeah man.
Andy Holloway
And Jonathan Taylor. The final five are the top five running backs.
Jason Moore
I'm going to be completely honest. When the game came around and Sunday morning started, you know we were talking about Black Shear and all of a sudden Miles Sanders was in the game. I was like, Miles Sanders, like I didn't know he was.
Andy Holloway
That he was active that he was.
Jason Moore
Active or going to play football this week. And not only did he play football, but he got 17 carries, 50 receiving yards, two touchdowns. Okay.
Mike Wright
Yep.
Andy Holloway
Jonathan Taylor finished the year on fire.
Mike Wright
Yeah, that's. That's very.
Andy Holloway
218 and 3. 125 and 2. 177 and 1.
Mike Wright
We need that for next year.
Andy Holloway
That will. There's no question the end of this season has moved his ADP way up.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Damien Pierce had a 92 yard touchdown. That was. That was fun. I saw the replay of that and I thought at first it was a kick return and then I realized all the offensive players were there because 92 yards is the long. It's a long way. The longest of any player this season. Devon HN 11 for 121 and one on the ground.
Jason Moore
On the ground. He had literally not a single target in that game, which feels stupid.
Andy Holloway
Bucky Irving.
Mike Wright
Oh, he's so good.
Andy Holloway
He is going to be really interesting in draft season next year. And Michael Carter scored. Wide receivers, Drake, London.
Mike Wright
How dare you. Rico Dowdle scored.
Andy Holloway
Rico Dowdle scored.
Mike Wright
Yeah, he did.
Andy Holloway
Are you good now?
Jason Moore
Breeze hall scored.
Mike Wright
He did. Rico. He didn't make it to my top 20. Bold prediction. Just outside of it.
Andy Holloway
But what about points per game though?
Mike Wright
I'm not sure where he is. Points per game, I'm willing to give you no.
Andy Holloway
Kyle says no, but it's like it's.
Mike Wright
He's RB24 in points per game. It's. Go look at his numbers and look at Najee's. They are like identical except Najee has a couple more rushing touchdowns.
Andy Holloway
Man 2. Those are two running backs.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
That I don't want.
Mike Wright
They're both thousand yards.
Andy Holloway
I know, I know. They are. They are, they are. But they are actually very similar in how they feel on your football team.
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah, that's.
Andy Holloway
They're not Gibbs and Hn. They're going to get theirs and they can handle volume. Top five wide receivers. Drake, London, Quentin Johnston, Jacoby Myers, K Sean Boote.
Mike Wright
Dude, the huge 14 targets.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Caught 13 of them for 186 yards. This was.
Jason Moore
Does that mean he dropped one?
Mike Wright
I don't. I don't know if he dropped it or not, but I'm saying that future.
Andy Holloway
Super bowl maybe wide receiver, he will.
Mike Wright
Be fun to like if this can somehow carry through the playoffs. And you're like, oh no. The. Quinn Johnson was a first round early wide receiver. We need to figure this out.
Andy Holloway
What is the message? On cued after we had a lot of talk in the off season, they lose Mike Williams, they lose Keenan Allen, they lose Austin Eckler. We talked a lot about Quentin Johnson going into the year. What is like the summation of the season compared to what we thought going in?
Jason Moore
I think he's a talented, ancillary piece of a wide receiver core.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I can agree with that.
Andy Holloway
Does that equate to wide receiver too?
Mike Wright
Would he be a good 2ish?
Andy Holloway
Because you look at. I mean McConkey is not a traditional one.
Jason Moore
Right. Are you speaking NFL like landscape or fans?
Andy Holloway
NFL landscape?
Jason Moore
I still think probably a three.
Andy Holloway
Jamar Chase at number five this week. Cortland Sutton, five for 98 and one hit. That hit his bonus.
Mike Wright
Got that Shmoney.
Andy Holloway
Got the shmoney. Got into the playoffs.
Jason Moore
Did you mention Drake London's 18 targets?
Mike Wright
We did not.
Jason Moore
I mean in the game. Michael Pennix.
Andy Holloway
This is the game these last three games with Michael Pennix. Go ahead and give me the numbers.
Jason Moore
Yeah, he's targeted on 41% of his routes, which is number one in the NFL.
Andy Holloway
So that's going to mess up people for next year. I don't know how high he'll go, but it will. It will be higher than he would have a couple weeks ago. Mooney was out of this game. Keep that in mind. It was Carolina, but like, are you going to be all in on Drake London next year?
Jason Moore
I'm pretty in on Drake London. Yeah. I think Penix can get the job done. I mean he was. He's the wide receiver six this year.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
So it's, you know.
Andy Holloway
Do you think he's the wide receiver?
Jason Moore
I think next year he'll probably be more like wide receiver eight or nine. But he'll be a wide receiver one by ADP for sure.
Andy Holloway
Okay. Jalen McMillan. Seven receiving touchdowns in the final five games. He'll be interesting in draft season as well because Godwin will be gone. Mike Evans will be a year older.
Mike Wright
Godwin could be gone. He's a free agent. We don't know if they're going to bring him back. You don't think the Bucks have any interest in bringing him back?
Andy Holloway
I think it's very unlikely that I'll be back. Yeah. I think you've seen what you needed to see from Jalen McMillan and there's other places to invest on that roster that I would be shocked for them.
Jason Moore
To bring him back if he was gone so good this year. He was, but I get it, he's older. Coming off of an injury. McMillan's breakout. You're going to Have a lot of conversation down the road of, you know, is this Johan Dotson scored more touchdowns than he should have or is this Amon Ross St. Brown the end of year breakout where he just couldn't be stopped.
Andy Holloway
Well, and that'll be connected with Baker and throwing over 40 touchdowns and whether he'll do that every year. And McLaurin with two seconds left scoring McLaurin with the backups. I don't know if you saw Cliff Kingsbury high five and up and down the sideline. Yeah, but that, that combined with the Green Bay loss secured Washington seating in the playoffs. Top tight end scores. The muth was Luth number one on the week. Trey McBride number two. Jordan Akins, Noah Fant and Johnny Smith wasn't Brock Bowers. But Brock Bowers finished with 112.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
And McBride with 111.
Mike Wright
It was.
Andy Holloway
McBride had 7 for 65 for a long time they just stopped throwing to him.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Like he, I think he, I thought he had six catches in the, in the first half. If I'm remembering it right because I, I.
Andy Holloway
You said you thought that and I pointed it out.
Mike Wright
I was like. Because it was the target disparity between Trey McBride and everybody else was like, this is, this is fishy. It seems like they were going after it but they, if they were, they aborted that plan in the second half.
Andy Holloway
Trey McBride led the entire NFL in reception since week 12. That's more than Jamar Chase Puka.
Mike Wright
Trey McBride is very good.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Who would you rather have next year between McBride and Bowers?
Andy Holloway
Whoever's drafted later.
Mike Wright
Yeah, probably. I mean they're. It's a. To me it is a 1A 1B thing. You got to hope that these last.
Andy Holloway
Two weeks were probably McBride.
Mike Wright
We're figuring out that if we can get McBride touchdowns because that will be everything.
Andy Holloway
Probably McBride for quarterback situation. I don't know.
Jason Moore
Yeah, we don't know who's going to.
Andy Holloway
The landscape with the Raiders if they bring in a high profile wide receiver which they desperately need. I mean this season went like. Brock Bowers is a unique talent. Maybe he puts up these exact numbers anyways. But the fact that this season goes the way it did where they literally get rid of Devonte Adams in the middle of the year. Had injuries to Jacoby Myers early in the year. I thought Myers missed some time, didn't he?
Jason Moore
Yeah, Myers missed a couple.
Andy Holloway
I thought he missed some time. So, you know, it went pretty well for Brock Bowers.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Jacoby missed two weeks.
Andy Holloway
All right. And shout out to Mike start of the week in week 18.
Mike Wright
Yeah, baby. Hey, we got that Tuddy.
Andy Holloway
That's all that matters.
Jason Moore
That's all we need for the drop, baby.
Andy Holloway
Will Disney, he's going to the super bowl, too.
Mike Wright
Well, he'll probably get tickets.
Jason Moore
Yeah, he's an NFL player. I think a lot of them will be there.
Mike Wright
You got an inside track? Oh, hey, Roch.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, yeah. You guys want to get into these footy numbers?
Jason Moore
Is it time?
Mike Wright
No, I'm just. Hold on. Because it's just a quick. It's what? It's just a quick throwaway tidbit, but we are in. Look, it's Dynasty season and you're looking for nasty boys who could be on the waiver wire. And Juwan Johnson, tight end of the Saints, he is. He is an unrestricted free agent. And to. He was 6 for 80 this past week. He, to me, is a guy that could land on a team where he becomes a true part of the offense. It's not. This is a long shot.
Andy Holloway
He loves week 17 18. Every year he.
Mike Wright
Yeah. The second half, he's been able to show up. But just saying, like, this is a player who I think has the. He has the skills and ability. Should he find an offense that features a tight end that he could sneak in and be a quality guy, it just. He might be on some waiver wires out there in Dynasty because he. Just. Because he's a second half guy.
Andy Holloway
All right, we'll take a break and we'll hit the footy nominations.
Mike Wright
What's the best time of day to get a deal? All day with Jack in the box's.
Jason Moore
All day, big deal meal.
Mike Wright
You get to choose from four entrees like the supreme croissant and five tasty sides, plus a drink starting at $5. So hurry in or take your time. You've got all day at Jack. Every bite's a big deal.
Andy Holloway
All right, the time has come. We're going to present you with our footie nominations for 2024, and you'll get the opportunity to go and vote.
Mike Wright
Get that trophy out, man.
Andy Holloway
The footie awards, most prestigious awards.
Mike Wright
It is. Are you handing it to me?
Jason Moore
I am passing it around.
Mike Wright
Of all the trophies that could be.
Jason Moore
Weaponized, it's the best.
Mike Wright
This is the one that you would want.
Jason Moore
It was made by a blacksmith.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Go ahead, Mike. It's fine. This is. If you got it. If you. If you had pulled off a first down in the NFL and you held this thing up.
Mike Wright
Oh, you would get penalized 15 yards.
Andy Holloway
For a violent gesture.
Jason Moore
Yeah. But you Might be ejected for having a weapon on the field.
Andy Holloway
It's very sharp and made of. What is that? Steel?
Jason Moore
Of course it's steel. I know a thing or two about metal. Okay. That is pure steel.
Andy Holloway
All right, we're going to share our nominations. I think we have 15 categories this year. You can go to FootieAwards.com and we will announce the winners on next Tuesday's show. So you have until Monday to vote.
Jason Moore
I voted.
Andy Holloway
I did as well. So why don't you read the first category for us?
Jason Moore
All right, I'll kick us off with the performance of the year. Which single week performance was the most impressive? You had Josh Allen's week 14 where he put up 51 fantasy points. You had Saquon Barkley's crazy 44 point. We had actually this year a lot of these massive 43 point performances. Like Alvin Camara in week two. Jonathan Taylor's week 16 explosion makeup for his.
Mike Wright
Dropping the touchdown.
Jason Moore
Dropping the touchdown. Jamar Chase put up a 50 burger in week 10 versus Baltimore. And Brock Bowers as a rookie had a 25 point performance in week 13.
Andy Holloway
By the way, the 2023 winner of this award was Amari Cooper, who had 11 for 265 and two in week 16.
Mike Wright
Yeah, that was awesome.
Andy Holloway
I found maybe more than years past more categories were more difficult for me to pick a winner.
Mike Wright
That's good.
Andy Holloway
It was hard to decide between a lot of them for me.
Jason Moore
Who'd you decide on this one?
Mike Wright
Oh, no, no, no.
Jason Moore
Oh, you don't want to sway the vote.
Mike Wright
No, no, no, no, no.
Jason Moore
Okay, that's.
Andy Holloway
We don't. We don't do that. Jason. The Fantasy Reapers man of the year. Which is which player's injury hurt fantasy managers the most in 2023? It was Nick Chubb with his catastrophic injury. This year's nominees, Christian McCaffrey. I hear he was drafted fairly high. Isaiah Pacheco. Jason's my guy. Which turned sour. Chris Olave, who did not return in week 18. And Chris Godwin, who was on fire.
Mike Wright
I found him.
Andy Holloway
If your name was Chris.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Or Christian, watch out, man.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I mean, Chris Olave's name is Christian. It is so Christian Watson.
Andy Holloway
Oh, no.
Jason Moore
Oh, no.
Andy Holloway
Oh, we have.
Jason Moore
We just found something.
Mike Wright
Kyle. Get on it.
Jason Moore
Oh, man.
Mike Wright
Get on it. We have.
Andy Holloway
Are there other Chris's that have gone down this year?
Mike Wright
Has anyone done a full correlation causation report on fellers named Chris or Christian?
Andy Holloway
Kyle's on it.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Good.
Mike Wright
Thank goodness. All right, we got the poopiest pants award, which Is despite high expectations, this player let fantasy managers down over and over and over again. You had Mr. Travis Etn drafted in the second is the RB7, Marvin Harrison, securing my pants to be on forever at wide receiver 8. Patrick Mahomes, drafted in the back of the third at QB3. And then Jalen Waddle, wide receiver 18.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Last year the winner was Austin Eckler, who was the Poopiest pants award, who was drafted as the RB2 and who Jason wouldn't trade me for two first and Saquon Barkley.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Unlike the big performance of the year, which I feel like we had five of them that were bigger than the biggest last year. This year we had the waiver wire wonder which undrafted waiver wire stud was the best pickup of the season last year? Kyren Williams was great. Yeah, I didn't feel like this year was as strong yet. Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, good at the quarterback position. Juwan Jennings, Darnell Mooney. And then John Smith at tight end. And Bucky Irving, a later season pickup.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, that one was a tough. Tough one for me to pick too, because I feel like, you know, it's going to be a little bit subjective with who you grabbed in your league, which is the point of the award. But, you know, finding quarterbacks on the waiver wire that you can always start. Like, we always talk about streaming the quarterback position, but not because we want to.
Mike Wright
Right.
Andy Holloway
We'd like to find.
Mike Wright
You want to find Bakerfield.
Andy Holloway
Oh, man. Christian Kirk. Christian.
Mike Wright
Kirk McCaffrey.
Andy Holloway
Kirk Watson, Godwin Olava.
Jason Moore
Are there any. Okay, so let's focus on the Christian.
Andy Holloway
Come on, man.
Jason Moore
Are there any other fantasy football relevant humans named Christian?
Andy Holloway
Or are they all down?
Jason Moore
Or did we go four for four? Did we take them all off?
Andy Holloway
Christian Gonzalez just got hurt for the New England Patriots.
Jason Moore
Doesn't count. This is a fantasy show. But that's a good point.
Mike Wright
Did he?
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Jason Moore
Oh, no. Goodness gracious.
Mike Wright
What in the world? Look out.
Jason Moore
Oh, all right.
Andy Holloway
There's none left.
Jason Moore
I'll get on it. Let's see if there's any left and then we can get some.
Andy Holloway
Only four guys were named Christian offensively in the NFL and all four of them are down.
Jason Moore
Christian Watson, Christian McCaffrey, Christian Kirk and Christian Olave.
Mike Wright
You can change your name at any time.
Jason Moore
Wow.
Mike Wright
Ocho Cinco did it.
Andy Holloway
Oh, man.
Mike Wright
You might need to protect your body.
Andy Holloway
We discover important.
Jason Moore
Rob Anderson did it. Every two weeks, chosen whatever. Whatever his name is today.
Mike Wright
I don't know, change the spelling, rearranged which name went where.
Andy Holloway
Mad Libs Anderson, Fantasy quarterback of the year. We're looking at the draft position of the player, the big game performances, their impact to fantasy teams. Last year's winner was Dak. If you remember picking him up back half of the year.
Jason Moore
He brought a lot of people to the championship.
Andy Holloway
This year's winner, not Dak. Nominees Lamar Jackson, a third round pick drafted as the QB4, finished at 1. Josh Allen, second round pick, finishes the quarterback 2 Joe Burrow, six round pick, finishes the quarterback 3 Jaden Daniels, 10th round pick, finished at QB4 and Baker, undrafted to the QB5 fantasy running back.
Mike Wright
Of the year last year Christian McCaffrey was able to win because that was one of the years he played football. This year's nominees Saquon Barkley oh yeah, drafted as the RB6 finish well are we. Where are we getting these finishes from? Kyle is this week 17 because I thought Jameer Gibbs took over. I thought Gibbs shot up to the running back one. Whatever. Saquon Barkley, running back one right around there. Derek Henry, drafted as the RB9 running back to finish. Jameer Gibbs, drafted as the RB4 finished as the RB3. Chase Brown was drafted as the RB40, took over and became the RB11. Chuba Hubbard, running back 43 finishes the running back 12 and then Joe Mixon, drafted as the 15th running back finished as the running back 13 but did have big impact when he was not hurt.
Jason Moore
Yeah, he was better at the start of the year. The wide receiver of the year last year was CD Lamb stacking with Dak this year.
Andy Holloway
That was a good year.
Jason Moore
Yeah, for you. Jamar Chase, who finished as the wide receiver 1 drafted as the wide receiver 4 was obviously outstanding. Terry McLaurin drafted as the wide receiver 32 finishes the wide receiver 6 finally got himself a quarterback. And then you got a couple of breakout rookies. Brian Thomas Jr. Who finished as the wide receiver four in his rookie season as the wide receiver 47 drafted and Malik Neighbors, wide receiver seven finish drafted as the wide receiver 22.
Mike Wright
Yeah, Jamar Chase was. He was separated from everybody. But it's interesting to note of this category, the only one who was drafted with any sort of early capital was Jamar Chase.
Andy Holloway
I would like to take this moment briefly in the middle of the footies to announce that I will be franchising and keeping Jamar Chase on my.
Jason Moore
Dang it.
Andy Holloway
On my roster.
Mike Wright
That's probably a good move in case.
Jason Moore
You really hoping you like this curious.
Andy Holloway
That's the way I'm going to go.
Jason Moore
Would you rather have him or Amari Cooper.
Mike Wright
Oh, man.
Jason Moore
Can't believe the meat of that trade.
Mike Wright
Whoopsie doozles.
Andy Holloway
All right, where are we? Tight end.
Jason Moore
Yep.
Andy Holloway
Is it. It's to me, the fantasy tight end of the year. Last year, Sam Laporta, a rookie. This year you got a rookie in the nominees. Brock Bowers, seventh round pick, finishes the tight end to George Kittle. Deserves some respect here. 49ers went 6 and 11, but the George Kittle fans out there got the tight end one in the fifth round. Trey McBride, a fourth round pick, late fourth, finished at tight end three. And Johnny Smith, undrafted, finishing tight end four, by the way. Apology. Public apology to Arthur Smith. You were. You were playing the better tight end.
Mike Wright
Yep, we were. We were all wrong, as was your general manager in drafting Kyle Pitts. Yeah. Who decided that we're going to take Kyle Pitts over some players who are doing really, really well.
Andy Holloway
Tamar Chase Penn A. Sewell.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Yeah. The breakout player of the year. Last year it was Puka Nakua. This year on the docket, you can vote for Jaden Daniels, Brian Thomas Jr, Malik neighbors.
Jason Moore
Oh, yeah.
Mike Wright
Chase Brown.
Andy Holloway
That's right.
Jason Moore
Chuba Hubbard broke out.
Mike Wright
And Brock Bowers.
Andy Holloway
I like that guy.
Jason Moore
Brock's out. All right. We also have rookie of the year who is also Puka Nakua. Last year Puka was dominant. I'm surprised Puka wasn't the waiver wire wonder. I mean, Kyron was great too last year, but yeah, last year he could have done the clean sweep there. The rookie of the year. This year the names are obvious. A lot of the names that we just talked about as a breakout. Jaden Daniels, Brian Thomas Jr. Malik neighbors and Brock Bowers. Four studs.
Andy Holloway
You know what? Yeah, I guess. Shouldn't Bucky Irving be in there? Shouldn't Bucky Irving be in there? Let's get him in. Bucky Irving.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Jason Moore
Okay, that's fine.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, we haven't voted yet.
Jason Moore
Yeah, that's fine.
Mike Wright
We're just.
Jason Moore
I voted.
Andy Holloway
Well, that's two votes, honestly.
Mike Wright
Yeah, but mine's worth like 50.
Andy Holloway
Oh, is that how you have them programmed?
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Comeback player of the year. Which fantasy player amazed you the most in their return to relevance? Last year was Raheem Mozart in his 20 touchdowns.
Mike Wright
Yeah. What, what happened there? Raheem Mostert, he was out.
Jason Moore
Father time.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, he was hurt. All year long wins. In the end, J.K. dobbins, the nominee this year. Kareem Hunt had the mid season special moment with the Chiefs. Johnnu Smith and Adam Thielen. A chance for an Award.
Jason Moore
I can't believe it.
Andy Holloway
That's right.
Jason Moore
No one can. No one can.
Mike Wright
He also won't remember that he was nominated.
Jason Moore
Maybe don't vote for him because he won't know.
Mike Wright
Well, I mean, it'd be a special thing, like if he had the trophy that he could remember every. Each and every morning.
Jason Moore
Oh. Because he could see it.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Isn't there something neat about.
Jason Moore
That's my name.
Mike Wright
When did I get this?
Andy Holloway
Bryce Young.
Mike Wright
Yesterday.
Andy Holloway
Throwing to the oldest.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
You know what I mean? Little young, old.
Mike Wright
I like it. I like it. The steal of the draft. Which player was the absolute best value in the draft compared to their ADP? Raheem Moser also won this award.
Andy Holloway
11Th round pick before he just threw.
Mike Wright
The smoke bomb down and said, I'm out. This year the nominees are. We got Jaden Daniels in the 10th round, as was Chase Brown. Chuba Hubbard in the 11th. Brian Thomas Jr. Was drafted in the ninth, George Kittle was drafted the back of the fifth, and Brock Bowers was at the back of the seventh. Good luck with this one, everybody.
Jason Moore
Yeah, that's tough. We have the Playoff King Award. Who drove fantasy managers to a championship during the Most important weeks 15, 16 and 17 last year was Kyron Williams, who was the running back 511 and one through those weeks. This year at quarterback, we had Jared Goff, Jaden Daniels, Baker Mayfield, all hitting top 10 performances in all three weeks. You had Jonathan Taylor, who was running back 17. That was. That was the first week of the playoffs where he dropped the ball, had a minus eight point play.
Mike Wright
Right.
Jason Moore
But then he was the running back one and the running back one. So if you were in the playoffs, you knew it. Jameer Gibbs, running back 3, 7 and 2. Brian Thomas Jr. 4, 3 and 14 wide receiver finishes. T. Higgins. Yeah, he was the wide receiver 14, 16. But championship week, he was the number one wide receiver. Or Sam Laporta, who you kind of forgot about early on. But top six wide receiver each of the three playoff weeks, including a wide receiver or tight end, one finish and.
Andy Holloway
Oh my gosh, I forgot. Last year's winner.
Jason Moore
Yeah, baby.
Andy Holloway
The most important two categories.
Jason Moore
Yeah, here we are.
Andy Holloway
The nickname of the year award. I cannot believe this one last year.
Jason Moore
So the winner.
Andy Holloway
The winner was Brett Rippon, nicknamed Ripping Farts.
Jason Moore
Oh, Brett Rippin Farts, baby. That's all he was doing out there.
Andy Holloway
Is that really one last. It is.
Mike Wright
And it says a lot about the state of things.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, well, you know what?
Mike Wright
And our show can't beat them.
Andy Holloway
Join them. Here's the nominees for the nicknames. Now with this on, go to footyawards.com and vote. You vote for your favorite three nicknames and that's the way we accumulate totals and give you our winner. The senator soon forbid Senate. Sam Darnold was the prodigal son in the sacrificial baby boy. That's funny. The sacrificial baby goes 14 and 2 or 14 and 3. Vidal Sassoon for Kamani Vidal. Estimate. Lauder for Audrey Estimate.
Jason Moore
These guys are a package deal, baby.
Andy Holloway
Ken bone Walker.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Kenneth Walker the dominator. Jared Goff Jennings for Joanne Jennings. The bidet. It was brief but wonderful.
Mike Wright
Tyler.
Andy Holloway
Tyler Bidet was the bidet. Laser Mayfield. Thank you, Laser. Richard. Richard White, also known as Dick White. And then.
Mike Wright
It was one time on.
Jason Moore
The show and we don't even have the butterman in here.
Andy Holloway
And then, you know, a fantasy relevant guy, Mike Sticky Gasicky. Also a nominee. So vote for your favorite three nicknames and we got one more category.
Mike Wright
How do. How am I supposed to announce these?
Andy Holloway
Do you want me to do it?
Mike Wright
Go ahead, because I'm not sure what the protocol is.
Andy Holloway
The final one here is the show moment of the year. And so you can vote for your favorite three moments from the fantasy footballers podcast over the past year. All the YouTube links to the moments. If you want to rewatch them, relive them, they're on footyards.com when you get to the question, there's a button, you just click it. You can watch all the 10 video clips. Here are the moments. Mike when he inducted himself into the ring of honor. If you remember, it was Arthur Blank of the Falcons who nominated himself for the ring of honor. And Mike came in here and surprised us by nominee just inducting himself into.
Mike Wright
The ring of honor number one. It was an amazing moment and it truly is an honor being the only person in the fantasy footballers ring of honor.
Andy Holloway
Amazing job. There was the golden ticket surprise where at the megala show, Jason finally used his golden ticket to make me agree.
Jason Moore
I've got a golden tick.
Mike Wright
What's the Kyle Pitts.
Andy Holloway
He made me agree with any take of his.
Mike Wright
Yeah, and it was Pitts, right?
Andy Holloway
I don't remember.
Jason Moore
I don't remember. But it's still.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, it was Kyle. You made me like Kyle Pitts.
Jason Moore
Oh, man, what an idiot. Why would you do that?
Mike Wright
Such a bad take.
Andy Holloway
Another moment was the my guy where I was trying to talk Jaden Daniels and you guys put Tank Bigsby in there as my my guy, which was fun. Because he had, like, it worked out. He was okay in the beginning, at least. And then the debut of the Jay Grizz theme song. Go ahead. I know it's coming.
Jason Moore
We're not going on. We're not going on till you.
Mike Wright
He's not deuce in back then.
Andy Holloway
J. Griz theme song debut.
Jason Moore
Tell me who.
Mike Wright
Too busy with his trophies.
Andy Holloway
Apparently. Andy's loose tooth. So I did go through losing a freaking tooth during the entire season.
Jason Moore
Yeah, you did. Hey, I believe that's all rectified.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I got a tooth now. It's great. Talking everything. Hashtag Spatchcock.
Mike Wright
The old. The Megalodon.
Jason Moore
The Megalodon. Spatchcock.
Andy Holloway
The falcon slash deucers. Poop jokes throughout the year.
Mike Wright
Falcon. Current reigning show pooper champion right now. Yeah. What's that trophy doing off the side, man?
Andy Holloway
I thought I was gonna give it to Jeremy for a second.
Mike Wright
No, he's. No, he didn't. I just went to blow my nose.
Andy Holloway
Then Jason, if you remember Jason versus Dennis Allen at the beginning of the year, was being laughed at by Dennis Allen through two weeks. And then Dennis Allen was the first coach fired.
Jason Moore
And I still shaved my head.
Mike Wright
Yeah. But that was a good take.
Andy Holloway
You got him the Halloween costume fake out.
Mike Wright
Oh, yeah.
Andy Holloway
When we pretended like we forgot to put costumes on and we had the blue medical tent and we all got dressed up.
Jason Moore
The YouTube.
Andy Holloway
That was fun.
Mike Wright
The YouTube comments of people being so mad that we didn't dress up and all they had to do was wait 10 seconds.
Andy Holloway
It was awesome.
Mike Wright
Before firing off a comment.
Jason Moore
Well, it would be two secondary comments. Yeah. The next comment would be, oh, wait, my bad. Good job. You got me.
Andy Holloway
And the final nominee for the show moment of the year. None other than the ruthless, meticulous.
Mike Wright
That was.
Andy Holloway
That was savage, thorough trolling by our league of records champion, Al Borland, who got my entire family to record voicemails praising him for his championship as it was. As my repeat opportunity was destroyed.
Jason Moore
This is. This will be.
Andy Holloway
There you go.
Jason Moore
I want to watch. I want to watch the top 10 video clip. So if you want to watch the top 10 video clip as well, go to footyawards.com the link will be in that. So it's a good time voting on these. Make your voice heard. You know, you see all the commercials, you know, last November, but get out to vote. This is what it was about. This is all I was talking about. It was talking about footy awards.
Mike Wright
They were getting. You ready?
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
On Thursday, we've got a very fun fantasy footballers ama show. We're going to have a blast. You can submit your questions and then next Tuesday will be the Footie Awards show where all the winners of the aforementioned nominees vote before Monday. Vote before Monday. Footyawards.com and that'll do it. And then the truth episodes coming soon after that. Then rookies and then baseball season. Jason, never woo pitchers and catchers. You're the only ones allowed.
Mike Wright
No shortstops in here.
Andy Holloway
No.
Mike Wright
Goodbye.
Jason Moore
