I am in a matchup of epic importance this week against Al Borland and Travis Hunter. I mean, all the hype around Travis Hunter.

We heard the guys you're starting and to lose Travis Hunter is devastating.

I almost, I almost made him my start of the week this week. The way that they were using him on offense, he, he pretty much wasn't playing defense.

[Mike Wright]

He's still digging glass out of your groin.

I'm just going to have to deal with it. But he was being used as a full time offensive player. Had his breakout game, looked great. And now on the flip side there I think there were reasons to be concerned with Brian Thomas Jr. With the emergence of like if the number one target ended up going to Travis Hunter, obviously that would be bad. However, now BTJ is all alone again.

And surely this will fix the problems.

I think it will. I genuinely think he's going to have.

And so Parker Washington, I will tell you, I'm just, I just signed him and I'm putting him in my lineup. Like that's who's going to replace Travis Hunter. That's my team where I was counting on him. You know, I would play Alec Pierce over Parker Washington. I would play quite a few players. I mean, you'll see our updated rankings on the website. But this sucks.

And it's not because they shut down the running game or you can't run on them. It's because they're up.

The other team has to abandon the run. So that's where it's like is Jalen Warren. Jalen Warren's going to be in lineup and he'll be a pass catching back.

[Andy Holloway]

He'll get. He'll probably get six plus targets in this matchup.

But yeah, I mean this, this is definitely a game where I want most of the pieces but on the Pittsburgh side they're just. The pieces are DK and Warren. I'm not going to like Roman Wilson.

That's good. But what is your, what's your level of optimism here? Like this was.

I am super pessimistic. I am very hopeful. I love Drone Warner.

I mean, yes, his snap counts didn't go up, the production went up. He was 4 for 74 and a touchdown. But this was the first, literally the first time his entire career of any relevance of any kind.

I'm really surprised that he has had as much opportunities he has had and not been good. I think he is a seventh game.

I really loved him as a prospect.

I will keep my eyes on him for sure. And if there's a perfect matchup, this is it. If you're going to be in a game script where you've got to throw the ball, but I can't imagine starting him.

Denver at six and two taking on the Houston Texans who are three and four. Houston once again home favorites. One and a half point favorites at home. Over under is just 39 and a half. The defenses, the defenses are really good. You know the, if you, if you look at the Texans defense at this point, which you're like, ah, Vegas knew something. Well, they knew this. They knew this defense number one against quarterbacks, number one against wide receivers, top ten against running backs and tight ends. They've shut them down. It doesn't matter if it's fancy points allowed, schedule adjusted, they arguably they're one of the best defenses in football. Top three.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, and unfortunately one of the other best defenses in football are going to be on the other side of the field.

[Mike Wright]

It does throw a little bit of like I never want to overemphasize matchup and underemphasize talent. I think that's that can be one of the mistakes we fall into here because we're staring at data all day long and we stare at the stream finder and you know, we go and give you starts of the week. And a lot of times matchups play a big role. I have the talent of Bo Nix, but then I have the matchup problem of a team giving up under 10 points to fantasy quarterbacks who looked incredibly good at home last week, who I imagine will limit the upside of Bo Nix at a minimum. And Bo Nix is like one of those, like, do you go Kyler Murray if he's starting or do you go Bo Nix because the matchup for Kyler is so the opposite of this.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah.

[Jason Moore]

So I agree with what you're saying. We cannot throw talent out. But what we have seen from Bo Nix is some inconsistency. He has not been so talented that he overcomes all situations. We've talked about how he has just shown up. Like he like, like the Broncos offense didn't arrive at the stadium. And so in a tough matchup on the road, certainly you can start him. If I had another good option, like if Kyler was active.

I have those guys in our chop league to try to survive this week.

The matchup is just this game. This game could be 10 to 7 and just be the stinkiest of garbage for fantasy football.

I think a lot of people want to chase a week where he's the number six overall running back. I think people. When you see. When you have that in your lineup and you score three times, I would recommend. I think a lot of people want to try to do that.

I would really recommend to anybody who wants to chase it to not chase it. His snaps didn't go up. His utilization didn't go up. The defense was terrible. Personally, in this game that we just talked about with Bo Nix and Coraline Sutton, these great options that were like benching them in certain situations. Don't chase R.J. harvey this week. If he goes off, great, but I think that would be a mistake. I would rather start Nick Chubb than RJ Harvey.

Woody Marks popped up with a calf injury. This was a new injury that just came up. There is the potential that Nick Chubb is alone here.

Both teams coming off the buy. Both teams have quarterbacks that need to wake up. Geno Smith has the lowest pass rating on 10 plus yard throws of any quarterback in five years. That's how bad he's been down the field. He will get Brock Bowers back in this game. That is a very, very good thing for the Raiders for fantasy players and for Geno Smith. Is it a good thing for you know, most lineups? I think so. I think Brock Bowers has got to be in. He's Jason start of the week but I'm not sure beyond Bowers and Genti.

Not a lot of baseball tooting out there lately we talked through the implications of the Hunter injury. It completely changes things. Brian Thomas no longer, you know, under threat of losing a number one wide receiver spot. I do think Parker Washington would be the one to pivot to if you're picking one. Diamond Brown doesn't play as many snaps. Parker Washington, they had him out there with Both these guys 10 targets last week.

Yeah, he was 4 for 52 but they gave him three rushing attempts as well. Like there were seven touches by Parker Washington in a game where Hunter and BTJ were there.

There are some guys where I genuinely think the team would be better off if they cut him like they should cut Parker Washington.

I think Cream Hunt will be the dude. It'll be 70, 30. Obviously you have the Bills winning this game. I picked the Chiefs personally, but with Pacheco out of the way, I think there will be enough work for Smith in a game with a lot of opportunity for big plays, for points scored, for touchdowns. So Burchard Smith is. He's a dart throw flyer in that category of all those other guys.

But Kelsey's the tight end six.

That's where he kind of got his opportunities. Seattle with the super bowl year. Thoughts on this game though? I mean Jaden Daniels without McLaurin coming back from injury. How confident are you in Jaden Daniels this week at home in the start?

So that game would have been fine. He would have been really good.

Don't hear what I'm not saying. Like I'm playing Jaden Daniel the, the because of his upside every week and just the with with the lack of, of Terry here. I don't, I don't think we're set up for on that top tier elite game from Jaden. Like I'd be really if he hit 20, I'd be so thrilled.

Yeah. The, the run game has not been working for the commanders. When we talk about trade candidates for oh the Patriots are looking at a run, you know, for a running back which is like what I look at the commanders and I say you've got a good defense, you've got a great quarterback, you've got you like you should be going to try to win it all right now you have no running game. Bill is not it. And if they were to go out and get a breeze hall or someone much better. Rico Dowdle or a tuba. Like they need a running back and I would be so excited. I want to be excited about a running back here, but I'm not.

[Mike Wright]

I don't know their cap situation off the top of my head. But the fact that you know that they don't have that. It's not like they have a bona fide high paid running back that got hurt that's coming back. They could be a place where Breeze hall would sign a deal. Yeah, right. I mean, if you bring him in, he could be a place that he stays for future years as well.

[Jason Moore]

They're on a quarterback rookie contract, so they've got the money for it.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah. And you know, JCM's not getting paid anything. Who knows about Eckler? That would be one situation that would be interesting to me. This game in particular. It's hard to say to start any running back. I mean, you just don't know when they're going to try to mix it up. I think they'll stay with JCM in this game. That's what I think will happen. Do I think it'll be productive? No, I. Seattle's very good against the run, so he wasn't productive against bad run defenses. I think at some point, you know, if you want to say, put Chris Rodriguez on a roster on the bench, they may make that choice. Or Jeremy McNichols. I don't know which of those two you do. They seem to trust McNichols more, but he's also not. Yeah, he's not necessarily the guy that would become a replacement for a starting running back. He's going to stay in his role probably. You know Debo, it slowed way down since the injury. He started the year. Wide receiver 6, 22, 12 and 8. I like them again this week.

I am happy with Debo this week. I think Debo back healthy. Jaden Daniels there. No. Terry McLaurin. A decent over under Debo is going to be in most lineups.

[Mike Wright]

Just don't. Just catch it and don't let it go off your helmet for an interception. That's all I'm saying.

My reaction would be, oh, clearly he's just keeps getting banged up the way he always has. But he's not missing games this time.

No, he's not missing any. You would still assume he's hurt. Yes, he's hurt in a different way. He's hurt in a snap count way.

And they keep winning. And this is, it's probably the most disheartening backfield in the league. I don't ever want to start either. For a team that is five and two winning ball games, scoring points with rushing touchdowns.

I think Zach Ertz is a good play here. You know, you look at recent history, fantasy points allowed. Seahawks give it up to tight ends. The same argument of not Terry McLaurin and Jaden Daniels back for Debo applies for Ertz. He's a good start. Like, if I was in the Juwan Johnson tier, I would definitely shift over to Zuckerberts.

Are we ready for a Monday night party? The Cardinals two and five. Monday Night Football in Dallas. Dallas three, four and one. The over under is 54 and a half. Rounds up to Dallas minus two and a half at home.

The current version of Kyler Murray is so bad and fearful. The playstyle of not being able to keep eyes down the field, of taking. As soon as any pressure comes, you're just laying down. You can't stand in the pocket and deliver deep throws. Now there is maybe there's no pressure coming from the Cowboys. And if Kyler is in there, that's where he shines.

The two Kyler games before Brissette came on, Marv was the wide receiver 23 and 16. He has not been inside the top 14 for the entire year. We need targets, we need downfield opportunities, please. Trey McBride has been the biggest beneficiary of Jacoby Brissette. He was the tight end 2 and 3. He scored three times and we know he's a dog. Ain't no meows.

No, no, he is not. The Dallas side, I think, is quite easy. Dak is in, CD Lamb is in. George Pickens is in. Trovante is no problem. It's just Jake Ferguson. Do you go? We had the goose. The Cardinals over the last six weeks are 27th against the position.
