This episode is brought to you by Instagram. Though we can't all agree on our picks, we can all agree that we want social media to be a safe place for teens. So it's good to hear about Instagram teen accounts, which provide automatic safety settings for teens built with parents top concerns in mind. Things like making their teens profiles private by default, having automatic contact limits so they can only be messaged by people they are connected to and content restrictions that place them in the most restrictive setting, limiting sensitive content they see in places like Explore and Reels. And all of these settings are built in so no extra work for parents. Instagram is automatically placing teens into teen accounts and teens under 16 will need a parent's permission to change any of these settings to be less strict. Basically, Instagram teen accounts will limit who can contact teens and the content they see and help ensure teens time on the app is well spent. And that's something everyone can agree on.

Mike Wright
As the underdog.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Is that because you are the underdog right now?
Jason Moore
This year, that's the way I like to do it. This year is next year though. Next year I would much rather be the favorite.
Mike Wright

Jason Moore
Let's go to the show. Welcome to Hungry for More presented by Uber Eats.
Mike Wright
It's Hungry for More time where we talk about some players where maybe we've got a little bit of a little nibble. Maybe we've got a bite. Maybe. Maybe we're actually just. We overloaded with them and we're still hungry for more because this is America and that happens from time to time. Jason, who are you hungry for more of?
Jason Moore
I am hungry for more of an entire pass. I mean, really. I'm hungry for more.
Mike Wright
You're starving?
Jason Moore
It's Jameis Winston. I'm hungry for more. Insane James Winston play because I'm hungry for this Browns passing attack that has gone from virtual irrelevance. I mean, you weren't playing anyone with desean Watson. Jerry Judy was not a startable player. I mean, Nijoku, okay, because he's a tight end, sure, you could get away with it, but even Nijoku before and after has been so much better. If you look at the splits here, and we're, we're pretty much at the halfway point. You had seven weeks with Watson. It's been six weeks since then. Five games started with James Winston. And I mean across the board. Across the board. You look at targets to every player. Jerry Judy went from 5.9 to 9.8. Cedric Tillman was irrelevant 2.4 in the games he's played. He's up.
Mike Wright
His career was irrelevant.
Jason Moore
He's at 8. Nijoku, who was already at 7.3, targets a game with Watson. He's up at 9. 9.6 for Elijah Moore. Like everyone gets a car. You know what I mean? It's. You get a car, you get a car. And we were talking about this a couple weeks ago because James was doing this right off the bat. Last year we saw this, you know, with Joe Flacco. It's just insane that it's the same team. It's not like, you know, usually you.
Mike Wright
Go, we're all trying to figure out what happened. We're all trying to find the guy that did this.
Jason Moore
What is the problem?
Mike Wright
There's, I mean, there's so many variables.
Jason Moore
At the beginning of last year and the beginning of this year for Cleveland, it just something felt different.
Mike Wright
Offense wasn't working. There's a change that happens that somewhat.
Jason Moore
Maybe we can figure out what the problem is. But a couple of weeks ago we were looking at the upcoming schedule for James Winston and it's rough. It is as bad as it gets. It was literally 30 seconds of 32 teams. When you look at the passing game for quarterbacks, for wide receivers, you had a gauntlet coming up of Denver, Pittsburgh, Kansas City. I mean, that is awful, awful, awful. Last week was the first one of those. That was Denver.
Mike Wright
Right.
Jason Moore
He was the quarterback one. He, I mean, it's just like he don't care and he threw two pick sixes. And those things are usually very helpful for fantasy football. So this week goes two. Pittsburgh plays in a tough environment. A divisional matchup against the Steelers. I'm just hungry for it to keep going. You know, it's, it's, it's going to take fortitude if you actually wanted to start him. Yeah, because two weeks ago he put up 13 fantasy points, you know, and the week prior to that it was 26. Fan. It was great. The week prior to that, 10. I mean, Jameis is literally a stick of dynamite. You don't know what you're going to have. But in certain situations, like if you're the underdog backing your way into the playoffs, you can do worse than taking a shot on this Cleveland Browns passing attack. Hoping that Jerry Judy, Elijah Moore, Tillman, the Joku and Jameis can be those nasty mucky muck players that towards the playoffs end up winning people championships.
Mike Wright
Yeah. When you're choosing a streaming type of a quarterback, I mean a guy who could be the number one quarterback in a bad matchup, it seems like that's an okay decision to make it like the risk is worth the reward. I just the fans of Cleveland, if you're a Cleveland Browns supporter and this is now multiple years in a row, look, we, and we've said James is not necessarily the solution or the answer for a franchise. It's just you now have back to back years of an offense being impossible to watch on television because it Makes you violently ill. A new quarterback comes in and all of the sudden this. It's a dominant offense. You can't pot. You cannot convince me that if James was the starter week one, that this Browns team is not 500 at worst right now.
Jason Moore
No, no, James, James eats W's. He's hungry for more W's. If you remember, they would certainly have won more games. This. Yeah, Jameis isn't the answer, but we know what the problem was. We know what the issue and the crazy.
Mike Wright
That's the bigger thing is.
Jason Moore
It's not going away.
Mike Wright
It has to.
Jason Moore
I don't know that it's possible. I think the only way it's possible for it to go away, financially speaking, is if a team that would be willing to take on, they would have to take on DeSean Watson's contract with like, you know, let's say the Browns get, you know, the number six pick in the draft. Would a team be willing to take on that contract to get that number six pick outright? And would the, Would the Cleveland Browns be willing to light a top 10 pick on fire just to get rid of Voldemort?
Mike Wright
I'm saying if, like, even the scenario where he's still on the team, like, if I'm the Cleveland Browns, my team doctor is like, I'm sorry, man, I can't clear you. I cannot clear you to come back to NFL duties. You're just this thing. It's, it's, it's irreparable.
Jason Moore
Yeah, but then you're toast. It's still the, it's still the money that's the issue.
Mike Wright
But that is that you, you made your deal with the devil. You live with that now. But how can you go two years in a row of seeing what your team could have been with any type of competent quarterback play like DeSean Watson, through six full games this year, did not surpass 200 passing yards. Then they trade Amari Cooper. Jameis comes in essentially right after Amari Cooper is traded. Your number one play with the back receivers and Jameis is crushing, like, at least production wise, keeping their offense on the field. It's. I don't, I don't know how you find a way. You have to find a way to get him off the field. It's not fair. It's not fair to every single other person in that building, every other coach, every fan who pays their hard earned money to come see this team, support this team. You can't do it.
Jason Moore
You only have two choices. You either find someone to pay the contract or you have to pay the contract. And if you have to pay the contract, then you have to have the gonads to just say, you're our backup, you're our.
Mike Wright
No, you're the emergency third stringer. You're not even the backup.
Jason Moore
100%, you're not active. That is, that is a good call because then there's going to be all the issues when a starter struggles of you've got this expensive quarterback behind him. Yes. You need to make him your third string. Go get Justin Fields in the off season and have him be the starter for you next year.
Mike Wright
And like often, you know, you have players. Like when Daniel Jones being benched, you had several players of the Giants come out upset because for his strengths and weaknesses, Daniel Jones is the best quarterback on that team. But they had to make a financial decision and all the players are mad. I think if you pinch Deshaun Watson, I don't think the players are going to be mad.
Jason Moore
You know, it's funny, I think they will rejoice. I've always thought about like being a teammate of Voldemort and I know, you know, like when Voldemort got injured due to too much black magic, you had Jameis come out and really defend him and speak up for him. So I know, like teammates, these guys are brothers in arms. You know, they're warriors together. But, you know, there's got to be some teammates they want to win. Well, they want to win, but there's also teammates that like, don't want. You know, it's. I think the pass rush against DeSean Watson gets a little extra excited. That's all I'm saying. Because I know, you know, like pin your ears back.
Mike Wright
So the player I want to mention, it's one of my biggest whiffs of the year, but I'm hungry for more. It's Jalen Waddle, because again, this season has been wasted. Awful, awful pick. However, two of the past three games have been. Or two of his three best games, I should say took place in the past two weeks. And it's. Have we figured something out here for the Miami Dolphins? Weeks one through six. Again, six of those weeks were without Tua but no yards after catch, averaging an 8.9 average depth of target. Like those are not that. Those are tight end type numbers. And then in the past two weeks, 11, that's his average depth of target, 15.2 yards per target. That's behind only Jerry Judy the past two weeks. You know, a lot of it's being lifted up by one Humongous game. But the past week was also like I said a one of his top three games of the season. The upcoming schedule. The jets which the jets numbers are.
Jason Moore
They'Re not good anymore.
Mike Wright
Yeah exactly like their numbers on paper still average out to be they're like oh should I be worried about that matchup? I don't think so. Their defense seems to have packed it in. Then you get Houston and then San Francisco. That one's we'll see on that one. And then Cleveland in championship week. I don't know. I think that there is a chance that we can turn it around that Jalen Waddle is at least a flex consideration. Who has weekly upside. We we got to get this thing going here. Miami. But 15.2 yards per target. It's encouraging for the past couple of weeks and oh gosh, I really hope that Waddle can turn it around. But that was hungry for more. News and notes from around the league. Presented by USAA Insurance.
Mike Wright
Ian Rapaport is reporting that the Chargers wide receiver Lad McConkey, aka Laditi McConkey, his status is up in the air for Week 14. It's an AC joint injury and a knee injury.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Little bitty baby boy is banged up. However, this is such an important matchup. I mean you're talking about playoff seeding. You're talking about division. Yeah.
Mike Wright
Playing the Chiefs on Sunday night Football.
Jason Moore
Sunday Night Football. Prime time football with a Chargers team that is in the hunt. You know, they want to believe that they're a Super bowl contender. And you know, if you want to prove that beat the Chiefs, beat the one loss divisional opponent back to back super bowl champions. You know, obviously being a divisional opponent means it's every game is important but this one clearly being prime time being the Chiefs being in division is a very important game. So I think if Laditi is not broken, he will play.
Mike Wright
Are you willing to wait on lad McConkie because it's Sunday night so you would have to prepare yourself like put him in the flex, have pick up, you know the dizzler will disley or pick up Josh Palmer. Is he.
Jason Moore
He has been that good where I and honestly the Dizzler is can we, can we make that happen?
Mike Wright
What's Big Montana?
Jason Moore
I know.
Mike Wright
I mean he's got so many names.
Jason Moore
He deserves so many names. But I do think if lad McConkey can't play in Sunday Night Football. If I've got Lad in my flex spot, if I knew Lad was out. Will Disley is a absolute flex option, streamable outside of tight end option. He'll have seven receptions in that game because Kansas City gives it up to the tight end and they will need him.
Mike Wright
You can also look at Brandon Cooks, who's on Monday. I mentioned him on the waivers. Like should CD Lamb not be able to go on Monday night? Brandon Cooks is at least Interesting.
Jason Moore
Yeah. I mean, even if Lamb can go, I think Brandon Cooks is not like a must start. But in the case of an injury pivot, I think it's worth it because what you've seen from McConkey lately and we know that usually rookie wide receivers, the second half of the year is even better. But you look at his fantasy finishes, I mean he's been a top 36 wide receiver in basically every single week since week eight, including being the wide receiver two, the wide receiver 12, the wide receiver 23 and the wide receiver 10. So he is someone that needs to be started.
Mike Wright
I was talking with Andy during the games on Sunday. I am of just watching everything and you know, just trying to project. Of course I don't think Lad is a top. He's not like a Jamar Chase CD Lamp. But I think Lad is going to be a superstar.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I mean this was like, it's.
Mike Wright
Like a top 12 type of wide receiver. I think it's going to happen.
Jason Moore
He's my, you know, one of my biggest regrets because, you know, on the My Guys episode we shared with our third My Guy who like are close.
Mike Wright
Ladd was going to be a big time ladder.
Jason Moore
He ended up getting injured right before the season and I worried about that injury because if I could have deleted Tank Dell and had Lad there, I feel a lot better.
Mike Wright
But saying like I am, I have shifted to not that I was on the opposite side, but like I'm on your side. If I see the path where Ladd.
Jason Moore
Is just, well, look at Keenan Allen. Like Keenan Allen. I like that he is bigger and able to take the hits that I worry Lad cannot keep up with. But we saw keenan be top 10 fantasy wide receiver over and over and over and over and over with Justin Herbert. Because if you've got a timing thrower with an exceptional route runner who's going to be in the right place at the right time with great hands and be wide open, I mean it's just like what else do you want from any wide receivers? Is he open and will he catch it? When I throw him the ball. Because that's. Those are both important things. As seen by his teammate, Quentin Johnston, who can get open. Just can't catch that ball.
Mike Wright
Oh. We're getting reports that packers running back Josh Jacobs is dealing with a, quote, nagging calf injury. He is expected to play. We're going to go over to league of record contender producer Al Borland. How does that make you feel? He's going to be fine.
Jason Moore
Oh, yes. That's how confident I am. Oh, my gosh. You can't script that. I mean, that was. That was literally. Voice cracking, fear of God. Wow. Josh Jacobs. Please be okay. I mean, the last time we saw a nagging calf injury, that was, you know. Stop it. Don't say it. Oh, that's right. That was.
Mike Wright
Christian McCaffrey just moved down and it turned into what? Tendonitis.
Jason Moore
Yeah, whatever. Tendonitis. Yeah. I will say this. The nagging part of this report was said in a good way, not a bad way. It was shared as in what this. Well, it was shared as in, this is not a. He did not just get injured. The calf injury is not like, oh, he did something in this game where, you know, he tore. He pulled something in his calf, and now they're worried about it, and that's why he's missing practice. It was. This has been a nagging injury for the last several months. So it was shared in a way that's like, he's been playing through this. He's expected to play through this.
Mike Wright
Saying that. That verbiage is funny. He's like, oh, don't worry. He's been hurt for a real time.
Jason Moore
No, I get it. I get it. It's stupid. But I will say I am hopeful that Jacobs is, you know, full go right now, unless he misses today's practice, which yesterday's practice would have been essentially the Wednesday practice because they're playing on Thursday Night Football. They're the early game that we're going to preview here in a minute. The vaunted, incredibly tough to run on Detroit Lions defense. I don't. I don't know if that's true for the next couple weeks with the injuries they have on their defensive line. You might actually have, like, you might have been looking at this Josh. Josh Jacobs matchup and going, I don't. I'm not excited about him in this game. You know, I got to prepare for him to have a down game. I think he'll have an awesome game.
Mike Wright
If he's fully healthy, it may move Emmanuel Wilson up the list of backups, like if you're, if you're stashing someone else's insurance running back and you're like, I can't sort through them. But Braylon, you know, all these guys, the fact that the starter is currently dealing with an injury, maybe Wilson moves up.
Jason Moore
And Kyle, I know that I feel even dumb bringing this name up because we've talked about him several times this year and it's always been irrelevant. But Kyle, will you look up the Marshawn Lloyd situation? Because I think he went on. He wasn't. I don't think it was the ir. It was like the NFI list because it was appendicitis. But I don't know if it has the same rules where he can't come back for four games. So, yeah, Kyle can look that up. Because Marshawn Lloyd was healthy from his injury, coming back was supposedly a big part of the game plan when he woke up and had appendicitis, had to have emergency appendectomy. So if he comes back and Josh Jacobs gets hurt, that might be another backup to look at along with Wilson.
Mike Wright
Also that Chris Brooks fell has been.
Jason Moore
Getting opportunities new dude sucks.
Mike Wright
Commanders running back Austin Eckler on Tuesday said he's still dealing with concussion symptoms. He still has three games left on the ir. But this, yeah, it's such a big bummer because it's his second one. I, you know, looked at him talking about it. He for the, for justifiable reasons, I think he is concerned about it, which sucks because this team can make a run and Eckler would be a part of it. And I would love to see Eckler get do a playoff run. It would be fun for sure.
Jason Moore
That would be awesome. He should be able to get back by the NFL playoffs, but for fantasy football purposes, you don't need to roster him. If you, if you haven't done the math, they're on by this week, then he has to miss three more games. That's the championship. That's week 17. He's out week 17 guaranteed. So if he comes back, which right now symptoms being there is not a good sign of him coming back immediately. If he does, the earliest he can come back is when fantasy football is over. So drop him, move on and hopefully he is good for the NFL playoffs because we love that dude and want him to have a fun time.
Mike Wright
See Breeze hall won't practice.
Jason Moore
Shut up, dude.
Mike Wright
Don't worry about it, man. Don't worry about it.
Jason Moore
I already know. Can I tell you the Breeze hall rest of season Story.
Mike Wright
Sure, I'd love to hear it.
Jason Moore
Yeah. So my. Our main two leagues, our main dynasty league and our. And our. And our league of record. Both of those seasons have been inextricably tied to Breeze Hall. Like I a centerpiece of both franchises. Which is why now I am in one technically in the playoffs. In the other just outside of the playoffs trying to get into both. Breeze hall will be the reason I do not make the playoffs. But after that, oh baby, he's going to go nuclear.
Mike Wright
So why don't you just play a different guy?
Jason Moore
I don't have other people to play, Mike. Oh, how easy. Let's. Let me just throw Josh Jacobs in there. No, I don't have him.
Mike Wright
I wasn't sure how convicted you are in this main character syndrome.
Jason Moore
Yeah, no, I'm very convicted. But the issue is, I mean my other guy would be. I'm hopeful Alexander Madison is back or Kareem Hunt. I mean look, it's tough in the streets.
Mike Wright
Former jets running back who was recently cut. Izzy Abanakanda was claimed by the 49ers. They had to bring somebody else in. But Jason Abanakanda don't non unless you got buns on.
Jason Moore
Yeah, it's a fun, interesting pickup. If you've listened for the last year, two years Izzy was. He was never like a super highly touted prospect that we were banging the drum for, but he was. He did have certain traits that are Grace 216 runs a 441 I think so he's a fast, big bodied back which is great and honestly fits the system for the 49ers really, really well. This is I think a great pickup. The fact that right now he's number two on the depth chart, I do expect so for now Isaac Garando is the starter. Izzy is the backup on.
Mike Wright
Someone has him in our dino league.
Jason Moore
Oh yeah. I think he'll be rostered in most dynasty leagues because he looked like the backup for Bree.
Mike Wright
But he was the backup to the backup.
Jason Moore
He became the backup to the backup. But a lot of times those guys just aren't released in season in dynasty leagues. You should go out and look and see if Izzy's there at this point. He should be rostered now. He's the backup. You have Patrick Taylor who is on the practice squad as well. The 49ers signed one time hopeful good player Keyshawn Vaughn. So they.
Mike Wright
Yeah, they're bringing in all the hits.
Jason Moore
I mean it's. They're doing what we have to do in fantasy football at this time of year, which is playing in the Nasty Boys. But yeah, Izzy hopefully gets some run and he would be, I think, the guy, the next man up who would succeed should an injury happen to Isaac Garndo. Because I don't, I don't think, I think Patrick Taylor is more of like the special teams type of guy. He's on the practice squad right now. I expect him to be elevated. But TBD right now, it's. I mean, Isaac Garndo's got the work to himself, it appears.
Mike Wright

I like what you DM'd me and that is all we will say.
Mike Wright
That's the message. Just for me and you and everyone to wish they knew what it was.
Jason Moore
You guys want to know? I'll bet you do. Never going to happen.
Mike Wright
I think Kyle figured it out.
Jason Moore
Well, maybe, maybe not. We'll see. Well, you'll never know. It's our secret.
Mike Wright
All right, let's get into it.
Jason Moore
Thursday night breakdown.
Mike Wright
Update. Kyle definitely figured it out.
Jason Moore
Now.
Mike Wright
Yeah. What? We'll tell the people our Dino Junior league. He is available, so.
Jason Moore
All right.
Mike Wright
Hopefully Kyle has the fab.
Jason Moore
He will.
Mike Wright
Now to get it done. Green Bay 9 and 3 taking on the Detroit Lions, who are 11 and 1.
Jason Moore
This is a game.
Mike Wright
DraftKings sportsbook line is Detroit -3. The over under is a delicious 51 1/2 point. Highest of the week Thursday night. What could go wrong? We aren't in dome. We're at Detroit. So at least we have that going for us.
Jason Moore
Oh, no. I don't know if you know this. 27 degrees and snow, terrible weather. Oh, oh, wait, they're in a dome. So we should have awesome football.
Mike Wright
Yeah. I realized something about America as I was watching the snow game from Sunday night. Because, look, big team, big dome over here. It doesn't mean I don't enjoy watching a snowball, because it's fun.
Jason Moore
Snow games are awesome.
Mike Wright
I totally get it. But I look at it objectively, not from the fan who's like, oh, man, this once, you know, we get these so little here, it's enjoyable, it's different, it's unique. We're willing to just throw everything away for that one special little snow game. Like, players don't like it. Okay? Number one, the players do not like it.
Jason Moore
Jameis liked it.
Mike Wright
But I'm saying, overall, the. When you get reports from players like playing at Lambeau, once they're gone, they're like, oh, that was the worst.
Jason Moore
That sucked.
Mike Wright
It's so cold. It sucks.
Jason Moore
It also hurts their contracts because they play for incentives. Yes.
Mike Wright
This is what I'm saying of like, you work so hard and you have all these other games where the variables are put into control because you're. You're indoors. There's nothing else that can affect it. And then you're like, yeah, but what about this one game? Like, why is that that should count like a half a game.
Jason Moore
My actual point in bringing up the fact that there was snow there is actually to point out to all the snow people, all the bad weather people, that when you have this incredible Thursday night football game, right, you need to be disappointed in it you need to be unhappy if you're going to stay, you know, intellectually honest and you know, just ethically true to yourself, then make sure if this hits that over a 51 and a half that you are like, man, we could have had a snowball here, but they had a roof on it.
Mike Wright
You could have had 11 completions for 94 yards from Brock Purdy.
Jason Moore
You could have had that. But you might end up with some awesome football. And I just want you to know that there's snow outside that perfectly controlled environment that you, that you are being robbed of.
Mike Wright
They played in Week 9 talking about the packers in Detroit. Detroit won 24 to 14. That was the outdoor game. Detroit is a home machine. 35 points per game at home, number one in the NFL. 27 and a half red zone per plays. That's number one. So what are we expecting here? Jordan Love has a six and a half percent touchdown rate, which, I mean that's still outrageous but I get the feeling, or I can agree with the feeling of Jordan Love. It hasn't been nearly as good as last year, but QB 5 at Detroit last year, 268 and 3. So how are you feeling about Jordan Love in this matchup? Maybe we get Dobbs back. Kyle, do we have any updates there? Because Romeo Dobbs has been limited on Monday and Tuesday.
Jason Moore
I've seen a very recent update that he's trending in the right direction and we should know today if he's active tomorrow if he passes the concussion protocol. Right now he is still in protocol. The expectation of the most recent report is that he will clear, but that hasn't been done yet. We'll know later. I think for the purpose of this outline we should talk as if he is going to be active in this game.
Mike Wright
Okay, so if Romeo Dobbs is active, where is Jordan Love in your confidence meter?
Jason Moore
Jordan Love is exceptionally high in my confidence meter. In fact, I would put it so far as to say that my confidence is high on every single player on both sides of the ball. The Detroit Lions defense has been so good and I know sometimes these divisional games they will surprise and they will hurt us. They will end up with just the, you know, even in a dome, a 13 to 10 defensive slug fest. But in order to really punch hard in that defensive slug fest game, you have to have defensive players. And the Detroit Lions defense that has been so great, lost so many guys and they're all being labeled as week to week being a Thursday night game, they're not going to have these players like, they're going to be down. I mean, from the start of the season, they're down like something insane, like eight starters. But from even just a week and two weeks ago, they're down three, four important defensive pieces. And I can't. I just want them to get healthy and stay off the field because I love this. The Detroit Lions incredible offense with a very hurt defense is a recipe for. Give me all the players in this game. You know, I want to start Jaden Reed. I want to take a shot on Christian Watson. Okay. And I know that those are. Those are players who haven't been always great recently, but every now and then you have one of those games where you say, if the over under was 60, can they hit it? And they can in this game. That's obviously not a guarantee, but you've got two good teams, two good offenses. The best defense is currently very injured. And I expect a lot of points in this game.
Mike Wright
Christian Watson or my Hungry for More.
Jason Moore
Player, Jalen Waddle, I would go Christian Watson there. You're hungry for more because you've been malnourished.
Mike Wright
Well, Watson is.
Jason Moore
Oh, yeah, that is fair. That is fair. But the potential for a big, massive play I think is higher with Christian Watson.
Mike Wright
All right. And then a pretty popular start sit question that we are getting Jordan Love in this matchup. We know what he can do. Or do you tail Jameis Winston, who will be playing a divisional rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jason Moore
So we'll talk about Jameis Winston. I think he's a good play this week, but not to that degree. If I have someone like Jordan Love in a, In a matchup that I expect high potential in Jameis Can. I mean, James can. James, sure. And, you know, he'll. He'll. He is as likely to have 10 fantasy points as to have 35 fantasy points. And I'm. You can't say the same about Jordan Love. Jordan Love will. Unless he gets injured in this game, he'll throw two touchdowns. He'll have enough in this matchup to have a good fantasy output.
Mike Wright
Well, you have to weigh Jordan Love against Josh Jacobs here. Yes, he has the calf injury, but all reports are he should be just fine. And if you look at what he has been doing lately, he is absolutely on a tear, especially since the bye week. 21 points, 28, 20. I mean, he is. He's one of the top running backs at this moment. 23 opportunities, 27, 23. So it comes down to, you know, his involvements. And while the Lions are number two against running backs, in the past six weeks, you feel like you're not concerned for Jacobs?
Jason Moore
I am not unconcerned, but I'm less concerned. So the injuries or the scheme, that's going to be one of the big questions, and we'll get the answer here on Thursday. Because they're down a lot of players and so is this scheme and the way that they play defensive football. Because this is three years running where the Detroit Lions defense, even when their defense was bad and it was one you targeted in the passing game, you still could never run on them. So maybe it's not just personnel, maybe it's a matter of they are going to sell out to stop the run and force the ball to the. To the throwing lanes. And that's great for fantasy. I love that for Jordan. Love. So I could still see Josh Jacobs having a difficult time, but he has been so good. And even when they played Detroit several weeks ago in week nine, they kind of got away from the run a little bit. He only had 13 carries, but he had 95 yards, which was surprising against the Lions. So Josh Jacobs isn't someone you can mention under any circumstance. And I think he ends up being kind of, you know, I would call it the running back 12.
Mike Wright
This week, Tucker Kraft saw seven targets against Miami that was the second highest of the total for. Of the season. Caught six of them for 78 yards. I mean, the Lions defense against tight ends has. They've been shutting it down over the past six weeks. Tight ends are putting up just over five points a game against this defense. So do you. Is the. Is the injuries moving craft into there? Are you going to.
Jason Moore
You can, I mean, move away from him? It's almost less the injuries than the over under. Just the fact that you expect a handful of touchdowns to be thrown.
Mike Wright
Kate Auton or.
Jason Moore
No, I would go. Kate Auton. I would go. Will Disley over Tucker Kraft as well.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Jason Moore
I think both of those players are in better situations, but Tucker Kraft right now is my tight end. 12. So he is startable. But the last one, essentially, the Lions.
Mike Wright
Are fun and very easy to project for the most part. Montgomery in. Almond Ra in. Jameer Gibbs in. Jameson Williams in.
Jason Moore
Is in.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Jason Moore
Just. I just wanted to answer for you.
Mike Wright
He averages over 15 fantasy points per game at home.
Jason Moore
Yeah. With this over under with how this game could go, it's not a perfect matchup. You know. You know, the packers, we haven't talked.
Mike Wright
About their defense are eight against wide receivers.
Jason Moore
Exactly. They've been pretty, pretty darn good. But I, you Know, this is, this is a player who has gotten it done and you don't want to miss his big games. In order to get James Williams, Jameson Williams big games, you have to have them in your lineup. And I realize you can end up with a dud. You can end up with, you know, Houston with 6.8 fantasy points in week 10, or you can end up in week 11 with 20 fantasy points. So when I want players in this matchup, when I want players on Thursday Night Football. For more information before the weekend, I will be starting Jameson Williams. I think that I would tie break him over some other players that might be in the same tier. I mean, he's obviously not like a, you can't go away from him type of player because, you know, what is he? He's like a wide receiver. Two, three, usually.
Mike Wright
And then where is Laporta rank in here?
Jason Moore
Laporta. So dumb. Laporta he is. Laporta is just like.
Mike Wright
Part of the analysis that you come to the fantasy footballers for is stuff like this. Jason, we are red light, green light. Oh, yeah. Sam laporta, tight end 6, 34, 9, 29, 3, 28. Oh, tight end 8.
Jason Moore
That means we're going to be in the red light. We're going to be in the 20s this week.
Mike Wright
Except green light.
Jason Moore
It is a very good matchup. That's, you know, the packers have given up more in the passing game to the tight end than to wide receivers respective of position and the high over under. I mean, I guess the best question would be which one of these two tight ends in the game? Because that's about where both these players are. They're kind of the low end startable options. I'd go Laporta over Kafka, Eileen Laporta.
Mike Wright
Over Kraft as well, but that's a tough call. Anything else on this game?
Jason Moore
I don't think so. I think we covered pretty much every relevant player.
Mike Wright
All right, quick break and then some mailbag.
Jason Moore

Jason Moore

Mike Wright
All right, Boaz Clark wants to know, who do I ride with rest of season? You don't have to. Yeah, you don't have to lock that in. But let's just go through the thought process anyways. Kyler or Bo Nix?
Jason Moore
You have a wonderful combination of two players that fit together nicely in the schedule.
Mike Wright
They really do.
Jason Moore
You're going to roster both of these players. You're going to play Kyler for the next three weeks, and if you get to the championship, you switch over to Bo Nicks. That's how I see it based on the schedule. So the next three weeks, man.
Mike Wright
This week for sure. Because if you play Bo, you're going to get zero points.
Jason Moore
That's right.
Mike Wright
So, but week 15, Kyler against New England or Bo Nicks against the Colts. Both are home games.
Jason Moore
Both are great. I'm still going to rely on the veteran over the rookie. Bo Nicks has been great. Kyler at home against the Patriots, I think is just a really, really good matchup. And he's at home this week against Seattle. If he has a good game, I mean, this will partly be what tells the story, right? If he goes out and has a good game, you're going to feel really confident to play him the following week.
Mike Wright
That's a classic Kyler trap.
Jason Moore
It does feel like that. I mean, here's the thing we talk about. Like, Kyler hasn't had three great games in a row for a long time. And you're trying to rely on that for the next three weeks. So it's New England at home, and then he goes on the road to Carolina. So Kyler's set up for success on the playoff run. The whole, you know, has he done it three games in a row thing, that, that's, you know, it's kind of a silly statement because what is the matchups? What are the situations?
Mike Wright
Your statement.
Jason Moore
You have to, you have to have the context there. I am silly. But I do think, I mean, you're, you know, if you get to week 16, you've got Kyler against the Panthers or you got Bo Nicks against the Chargers, you know, in a divisional matchup, I feel like that's an easy Kyler. But then if you do make it to the championship, Bo Nicks against Cincinnati. And Cincinnati is going to be a. I'll tell you right now, he's a start of the week in that championship week.
Mike Wright
Whatever they're doing there with Cortland Sutton is wild because it was. If you watch the Monday night game, it was the full on Justin Jefferson of Bo Nicks. Buys a little time, keeps the ball downfield, and there's a guy who's just no defenders around him, which we've. We're used to that with Jefferson. I'm not used to that with Cortland Sutton. It's.
Jason Moore
Cortland Sutton's been awesome at 29 years old.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
With a rookie quarterback. He's the wide receiver. 6. On the course of the season and really the first month for the. For the Broncos as a whole. But for Bo Nicks, for Cortland Sutton, it was. It was growing learning pains that looked like, I mean, if you stopped the season after the first month of football, you know, where The Broncos are two and two, they're not scoring much. You know, week four, they scored 10 points. Week two, they scored six points. This was not a good offense. You would never have expected them to pump up their offensive output like they have.
Mike Wright
Right. All right, let's put your main character, Breeze hall, take to put it to the test here, Jason. Okay, this is a popular question coming in, and this one just happens to come from a fellow named Josh Smith. Rico Dowdle or Breeze Hall.
Jason Moore
That's. I mean, it's Breeze Hall.
Mike Wright
Is it?
Jason Moore
Yes, it really is.
Mike Wright
Is it?
Jason Moore
Yes, it really is.
Mike Wright
Is it?
Jason Moore
Breeze hall is a better player than Rico Dowdle.
Mike Wright
He is playing the Miami Dolphins. That's how my Breeze hall and Rico Dowdle, Rico Suave will be playing against the Cincinnati Bengals Yeah, I mean, well.
Jason Moore
This was a rest of season question.
Mike Wright
I know. Or even it says. Or even just this week. So let's go. We'll go one step at a time.
Jason Moore
This week, this week I would choose Breeze. Breeze. And I will fully admit that it is a legitimate decision that you can't just take the name of Breeze and not look deeper. Rico just got 19 carries, followed up with 22 carries. The Cincinnati Bengals are a middle of the pack defense against running backs and.
Mike Wright
Can give us shootout games.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Mike Wright
That's where it's more appealing to me because I have a hard time with this question and I'm the Rico Dowdle truther of the show. I mean, last week it cost me where I got Ken Walker because look, it's Ken Bone. Of course I'm going to play him. And I'm like, I know I should play Rico, that I need to play Rico. In this particular matchup against the Giants, I chose the name and it was, it was painful. Obviously that's a one week sample size, but it's to the point of we're at this stage of the season where you got to start making some really hard decisions. Yeah, some. Some character building.
Jason Moore
No, I get it. Look inside Breeze, last week was terrible. The previous game we saw him was the running back.
Mike Wright
3.
Jason Moore
The matchup against Miami is. I think it's actually pretty identical. Cincinnati and Miami, they are mid level defenses, rush defenses. They are capable of providing a shootout. Both of these offenses, the Cowboys and the jets are. You're not sure how many touchdown opportunities there will be. At least with Rico Dowdle, it seems that there is less of a worry of a committee. They've. They've kind of committed to him. I mean, yeah, I mean it's. It's really, really parallel situations here. So if you want to go dowdling, you go dowdling. I don't blame you at all. But rest of season, Breeze does have the best schedule left for running backs. He just goes Miami, you know, middle of the pack. Jacksonville, great matchup. The Rams, middle of the pack, Buffalo, great matchup for running backs on the ground. And then Miami, if you play in the final week of the season, whereas, you know, you've got, at least in championship week for Dowdle, you've got the Philadelphia Eagles, which I would never play him against this week.
Mike Wright
I get it. For Breeze, next week will be a. That'll be a tough decision with the Dallas Cowboys playing the Carolina Panthers. Next question.
Jason Moore
Follow up here. I see it from ig, from Reggie, stat. Rico or Isaac orindo this week. What is he going to be, you know, if you end up picking up Garrindo.
Mike Wright
Right.
Jason Moore
You paid a lot for him. You're excited. Chicago is the matchup. Which Chicago's great past defense. They're not that good of a rush defense. I would say middle of the pack, similar to the other matchups we've been talking about. So who would you start between those two? Rico Dowdle or waiver superstar?
Mike Wright
Oh, that's impossible. That is so impossible. I think I'd probably go Garando.
Jason Moore
I see. I think I go. I think I go Rico. I was just.
Mike Wright
Avoid the risk.
Jason Moore
I was just writing down. I think I'm going to go breeze. Rico Garindo.
Mike Wright
Where the confidence for Garendo, for me is because, look, we just were celebrating and talking about. They added a Bannacanda. Like, there's no one else on this roster who can spell Garendo at this point. It's. I mean, it's our. It's a hard name to spell, Jason.
Jason Moore
Yeah, it really is. It starts with G, but then it.
Mike Wright
Ends with O and somewhere in between. I don't know what's going on in there. We got a question from Kevin Casey. Can I start Jameis and the Steelers defense as normally, you don't want to play. You don't want to play your defense against the quarterback because it's a negative correlation.
Jason Moore
James is an outlier and you absolutely can not that everything's going to happen the same every week. Obviously. Last week, if you played the Denver Broncos who got torched by Jameis, gave up over 500 yards and tons of points, you were thrilled because you also had two pick sixes. And that's not prescriptive of a forever situation. However, this isn't one time. This isn't like, oh, Jameis just did that once. We had years, years of Jameis being able to. I mean, honestly, his superpower for fantasy is usually the 30.
Mike Wright
30 year.
Jason Moore
Yes, the 30, 30 year. It's his interceptions. It's the fact that he has to keep throwing the ball. It's just, it's pretty ironic to me that the pick sixes in the Denver Broncos game came late. You know, it was like that usually his pick sixes are what causes him to have to be on the field and throw a lot. I prefer my pick sixes early in the game.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I mean, we keep bringing up the two. It's. It was. One was really bad. The second one was like, we got it. We have to go score.
Jason Moore
Yeah, yeah. He was forced into that situation.
Mike Wright
We got some Jalen Waddle questions. Funny enough here. We'll start with this first one. Waddle from B. Bariri, Debo Samuel, or Jalen Waddle.
Jason Moore
Oh, man.
Mike Wright
Debo gets Chicago. You just mentioned to Jay that they have a strong secondary. They're good at shutting down wide receivers. Debo has been tremendous at shutting himself down this season. Holy crap. It's been bad.
Jason Moore
You didn't realize, did you? I know.
Mike Wright
I knew it's been. It surprises me just every time I open up his. His player profile, though, because it's. He's 38 for 531 yards in the last three weeks.
Jason Moore
12 games in three games in a row.
Mike Wright
11. One of them. He went out right away.
Jason Moore
Yeah. But the last. He played the full game in the last three games. And if you were to give dude all of the fantasy points from each of those three games and you put them together, he does not hit the single game. Jalen Warren, mark of 10 fantasy points. I mean, he's been abysmal. And while I can't understand how it just keeps happening, you have to be concerned. And we brought this up, I think two weeks ago I went back and I watched the Debo film because I was like, what's going on? And there were plays that were just the same old Debo plate. The design was identical to how it always is. Just a. A handoff up the side, blockers out in front. He's just got to break the first tackle like he always does, and this is going to be a big play. He didn't break that first tackle. He just got tackled behind the line of scrimmage. Solo, one on one. It just didn't look that good. So I'm starting to worry. It's. It's a little bit more him than we want. You know, he's almost 29 years old. He plays a running back style of football. Not that he can't have a big game, but I worry about him. I would much rather start Juwan Jennings over him.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
And I think at this point, I'm for that. I'm going to take the targets from Waddle, and I need to make sure Debo is as low in my rankings as he deserves to be right now.
Mike Wright
All right, how about Jalen Waddle or Garrett Wilson?
Jason Moore
I would go Garrett Wilson. I know it's been very, very bad three games in a row for Garrett Wilson. The targets have been there. Aaron Rodgers been playing 6, 8, and.
Mike Wright
10 in the last three games.
Jason Moore
I'll still take those. We have to Always remember we'd say this a lot, but it's. It's hard in the moment to really heed the advice. We try to remember, which is that wide receivers are inconsistent on the course of the season. They will all have their bad games and when they come in stretches, you know, three games in a row, it. It feels like it means it's forever. Now in Debo's situation, it's not three games in a row. It's like basically all but two games since week two. So this is pretty much the season with Garrett Wilson. Before the three game bad stretch, there was a three game good stretch. So I'm going to, I'm going to go Wilson there.
Mike Wright
All right. Matthew Hernandez says Juwan Jennings or MVS rest of season.
Jason Moore
Jennings.
Mike Wright
That is Juwan Jennings for me.
Jason Moore
Yeah. I have moved to a place where I think MVS is a. Is an okay. Is an okay starter. Yeah, I mean, he's playable. He's going to get a couple of deep shot bombs. But I'm still at the place where Juwan Jennings is pretty close to.
Mike Wright
Must start like he is for me too.
Jason Moore
It's a tough, It's a tough matchup. You know, we've brought that up. The Bears. Stevenson is hopefully splitting duty with Debo and not just, you know, shadowing Joanne Jennings. So I worry this week on the matchup, but I believe Joanne Jennings is going to be the wide receiver one for, you know, the Shanahan offense that will still score a lot of points. I mean, I, you know, they're not going to always play in the snow against the Bills and we'll get out.
Mike Wright
Of here on this one. People love to ask this question. That man Dvecci, is it morally right to bench your players in week 14 to keep another team out of the play?
Jason Moore
It is 100% not morally right. It is not ethically sound. You need to play your.
Mike Wright
Okay, we'll take. Take morals out.
Jason Moore
Then. What's the question?
Mike Wright
Is it okay? Is it.
Jason Moore
I don't, I don't.
Mike Wright
Should you do it?
Jason Moore
I don't think you should do it because there is league integrity for all players and all managers who are in the league.
Mike Wright
Yeah, but you're looking out for number one.
Jason Moore
Oh, I get that. But you can't just look out for number one and do anything you want. I mean, it would be looking out for number one to just log into someone's account and, you know, drop that guy.
Mike Wright
Well, but that's. You have to steal passwords and stuff for that.
Jason Moore
Well, but where's the line is my point. My line.
Mike Wright
You're controlling what you can control. That's an easy line for me.
Jason Moore
My line is that you can't bench. You just can't bench players and not have a active lineup. Like you have to. You have to have starters in your starting roster. That's. That is. That should be standard for all league. For all leagues. You have to feel the starting roster.
Mike Wright
Okay. What if you log in? This is a hypothetical situation. What happens if you log in last week and you see your opponent has put Brock Bowers on the bench.
Jason Moore
Oh, man. And started someone like Gasicki?
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah. Something like that. Someone does that. Is it then appropriate to take your good players out? Because we are clearly talking about a race to the bottom here.
Jason Moore
Right?
Mike Wright
The two teams trying to the last.
Jason Moore
Place versus the second to last place. Yeah.
Mike Wright
What is the appropriate response then?
Jason Moore
The appropriate response?
Mike Wright
No, no, take it back. What would you do?
Jason Moore
What would I do? Yeah, I would. I would bring it to the attention of the league and make sure that that does not happen because the league should.
Mike Wright
It's too late.
Jason Moore
I know. It's too late.
Mike Wright
It's too late. You know what I'm saying? It's too late. You notice on Saturday, game is done.
Jason Moore
Game is done.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Oh, man. What do you do at that point? It's a fair fight to put in my crap players at that point. If you've already done it and I'm scoring less than I, you know, I'm getting less against me than I should. You going to eat some nasty boys. And I know this is not a hypothetical.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Because this may or may not have happened in a league that we are in.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Not us. Because our team is great.
Jason Moore
Oh, man. It's good. We. Do you think. Just asking. Is it possible that our shared team and Dino Jr. Mike can win a fourth championship this year? This year?
Mike Wright
100%.
Jason Moore
But. But that would be four of the last five.
Mike Wright
Yeah. That is unprecedented.
Jason Moore
That's just unfair.
Mike Wright
Has that ever happened in Dynasty football?
Jason Moore
Probably not. Probably will, though.
Mike Wright

Fantasy Footballers Podcast - Episode Summary: "Hungry For More + Start/Sit Decisions, TNF Preview"
Release Date: December 4, 2024
The Fantasy Footballers, renowned for their astute analysis and engaging discussions, delve deep into critical fantasy football topics in this episode titled "Hungry For More + Start/Sit Decisions, TNF Preview." Hosted by the expert trio—Jason Moore and Mike Wright took the helm in Andy Holloway's absence—this episode offers listeners a comprehensive breakdown of player performance, strategic start/sit decisions, and an in-depth preview of the upcoming Thursday Night Football (TNF) showdown.
Segment Overview: The "Hungry For More" segment is dedicated to identifying players who may be undervalued or overlooked but possess the potential to deliver significant fantasy points. This week, the focus shifts to quarterbacks like Jameis Winston and wide receivers such as Jalen Waddle.
Key Discussions:
Jameis Winston & Cleveland Browns Passing Attack:
Jason Moore expresses a keen interest in Jameis Winston, citing his inconsistent yet high-reward performances. He highlights the Cleveland Browns' improved passing game, drawing parallels to last year's Joe Flacco situation. Despite concerns about the offense's sustainability, Winston remains a tantalizing option for fantasy managers seeking upside.
Jason Moore [04:29]: "I am hungry for more of an entire pass. I mean, really. I'm hungry for more."
Mike Wright underscores the frustration with the Browns' offensive struggles, emphasizing that despite Winston's potential, the team's overall performance leaves much to be desired.
Mike Wright [07:49]: "You can't do it [use Winston] because...you have to find a way to get him off the field. It's not fair to every single other person in that building...you can't do it."
Jalen Waddle & Miami Dolphins:
Mike Wright critiques his own assessment of Jalen Waddle, acknowledging it as one of his "biggest whiffs of the year." He notes Waddle's recent uptick in performance metrics, such as an increased average depth of target, suggesting a turnaround in his production.
Mike Wright [12:27]: "But that was hungry for more. Presented by Uber Eats where you can get the best deals on game day food all season long."
Jason Moore counters by advocating for Garrett Wilson over Waddle, despite the latter's recent performance slump, emphasizing the inherent volatility in wide receiver performances.
Jason Moore [53:09]: "I would go Garrett Wilson. I know it's been very, very bad three games in a row for Garrett Wilson."
