Jason Moore
Oh, let's do a show.
Andy Holloway
Hope your waivers went well.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I hope so too.
Mike Wright
Oh, we're. We got 30 minutes until ours run.
Jason Moore
Yeah, they happen live on the show. It's exciting. It's scintillating. Especially because Jason promised me yesterday he would outbid me by $1 on every one of the players I want.
Andy Holloway
Oh, impressive.
Jason Moore
And you said you would do that by logging into my computer.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, so I know.
Jason Moore
And figuring out my bids.
Andy Holloway
Yep.
Mike Wright
I'll tell you what's going on here. You want to know what's happening over here with with Team Borrows mclemonade?
Jason Moore
What's going on, Mike?
Mike Wright
I got nine moves input ready to go.
Jason Moore
League of record.
Mike Wright
You're darn right.
Andy Holloway
Wow, your team must suck. See, I can't make. I was thinking about putting it on. What's your record?
Mike Wright
Hold on. What's your record, bro?
Andy Holloway
This is so stupid.
Mike Wright
Andy, are you undefeated in that league?
Jason Moore
I actually am, yeah, I'm undefeated.
Mike Wright
How are you? How's your team doing? Are you in the playoffs right now?
Andy Holloway
Talk to me in 15 weeks, my man. I will.
Mike Wright
And you can kiss the ring.
Andy Holloway
I hate you so much for beating my team that should go undefeated. I can't drop people to the waivers. That's my problem. I can't make moves because who am I going to drop? Devonta Freeman? I mean, I got to bench him right now, but not dropping them.
Jason Moore

Mike Wright
Mm.
Jason Moore
Quick question of the day before we get into it. We haven't talked about Kenyan Drake and the Infinity Stone himself, Frank Gore over the weekend. Drake was 14 for 48, caught another three passes for 18 yards on four targets, had eight fantasy points. Frank Gore was 9 for 61. Had a couple of those oh, wait, is that Frank Gore moments in that game.
Mike Wright
He is infinite.
Jason Moore
He is infinite. He is, he is Gore. He did nothing to damage his timeshare capabilities in this game. So how do you feel about Kenyon Drake? How do you feel about Frank Gore? I watched this game, you know, in several broken up parts over seven hours and I thought Gore looked good, but I thought Drake looked good. So I thought Drake looked great, actually.
Andy Holloway
Oh yeah. I mean, I believe even the commentator on the broadcast said Kenyon great at one point. I'm not too worried about this.
Jason Moore
A lot of times we did it on purpose though. He probably did it on accident.
Andy Holloway
Right, that's.
Mike Wright
Or he listens to the show.
Andy Holloway
Probably the latter. You know, if you're just box score watching, if you're just basically looking at the end you go, oh, Frank Gore had more yards than Kenyan Drake. But you know, if you go back and do some film analysis, Kyle Borgignon, he's getting back to back shout outs on the show here because he's doing such good work. He went back and watched and he basically said, you know, the difference in offensive line play on those plays between when Gore was running through, I believe he said that even baby Josh could have run successfully through those massive holes.
Mike Wright
That Frank Gore, a statement that I.
Andy Holloway
Dispute, of course, absolutely false. I mean there's no way baby Josh, he would have fallen down because keep in mind, I think he's still crawling.
Mike Wright
You're, you are anticipating that. Baby Josh does not fumble the handoff.
Andy Holloway
Thank you, Mike. That's a good correction.
Mike Wright
But the snap percentage was just so heavily in the favor of Kenyon Drake.
Jason Moore
74. 29.
Mike Wright
I'm not.
Jason Moore
That doesn't add up.
Andy Holloway
Well, they can be on the field.
Jason Moore
Thank you. Thank you saving me here. I'm like, how many snaps were in this game?
Andy Holloway
It's a very long game.
Mike Wright
Not concerned about the time split. Not concerned about Gore being the guy.
Jason Moore
I think it's a buy low opportunity for Drake.
Mike Wright
Actually, just a lower game for Drake.
Jason Moore
All right, it is Wednesday, which means.
Andy Holloway
Oh, oh, oh. O'Reilly.
Jason Moore
Oh, parts. Pump the brakes with O'Reilly Auto Parts. Every Wednesday we pump the brakes on some players for the upcoming week. And Mike, why don't you kick it off with a pump the brakes for week two.
Mike Wright
Sure. My real pump, the break that I wanted to go with was actually Jason's fantasy team when he ends up 0 and 2 and just tilts off the.
Andy Holloway
Face of the planet.
Mike Wright
If you start owing to.
Jason Moore
I will lose his mind. You will lose his mind. This is what's great about. See, you had all these picks you work towards this season and you could, you know, he can't even talk about it. Can't even talk about the possibilities.
Andy Holloway
The second highest scorer and I didn't underperform.
Mike Wright
What if you're the second highest again?
Andy Holloway
Well, then I will leave the show.
Mike Wright
All right. I'm pumping the brakes. I talked about. I'm concerned for him earlier on an earlier show and that is Derek Henry. I did not like his usage.
Andy Holloway
I.
Mike Wright
He was the starter and they tried to get him going. He simply did not get it going. And Dion Lewis is clearly the better running back. He out snapped Derek Henry. He out touched Derrick Henry. He had more third down work. He had more.
Jason Moore
My eyes enjoyed watching him more.
Mike Wright
It's very troubling for Derek Henry who, granted he had a monster touchdown run that would have completely changed everything for his fantasy football performance. It got called back on a holding call that had nothing to do with the run. Unfortunate part of football. It's unfortunate for my fantasy football team because if that had happened, I would be selling the crap out of Derrick Henry right now. Going, look at this huge fantasy day that Derrick Henry had. Now he has to take on the Houston Texans. The Texans were able to completely shut down the running game of Rex Burkhead and the New England Patriots. I'm very concerned for him in this particular matchup and season long as well. If Dion Lewis is that much better than Derrick Henry, which I think we all agree that Dion Lewis is the better running back, it's it's DeMarco Murray and Derek Henry all over again. Except now DeMarco Murray is Dion Lewis.
Jason Moore
This coaching staff knows that. He knows what they know what Derek Henry is. The problem with Derek Henry all off season was the draft price because it was imbuing something to him that the coaching staff didn't imbue when they went and signed one of the best runners in the league in Deion Lewis. Yeah, right. I mean Derek Henry in and of itself. You told me he's a seventh, eighth round pick.
Mike Wright
I'm interested.
Jason Moore
He's flexing in my role. But. But then again, people that did spend on him, they have to make decisions now. And you're telling them, hey, pump the brakes.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
And the expectations might not be the.
Mike Wright
The full rankings are not done. Like Jason said, those will be up by about midday. We're going to really dive in on my particular team. Half point ppr. I'm looking or I will be looking at Derek Henry vs. Bilal Powell this upcoming week.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
And as of right now, it's Powell. It's probably going to be Bilal Powell.
Jason Moore
Last week our. Pump the brakes, Jason. You went with Jimmy G. Solid. Pump the brakes in week one.
Andy Holloway
Sweet.
Jason Moore
What's your week?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, sweet.
Mike Wright
Are you still. He's over here managing the 02. He can't get out of the funk.
Andy Holloway
All right, I'm going to go.
Mike Wright
We want the funk.
Andy Holloway
I thought my pump was Greg Olson. Oh, no, that was the week prior. Two for two. All right, let's go.
Mike Wright
Where are you?
Jason Moore
Yeah, seriously. You are not president. You're not present right now.
Andy Holloway
All right, my Pump the brakes this week is a hall of fame wonderful wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. I've talked about for the last several months. His home road splits have been a real issue. He is not as good on the road as he is at home. And he's going on the road to the Los Angeles Rams who have Marcus Peters and a keep Talib and a pass rush that is going to destroy frightened Sam Bradford. Now if you're in a full ppr, he should have enough targets to where, you know, maybe. Maybe he gets seven for 60 and you're okay with that. But I think that that to me is his ceiling. I feel like 7 for 60 is. He had a great game. I worry that his floor is, you know, he's going to get 4 for 30 in a matchup where I believe.
Jason Moore
The line in that game is 12 and a half points.
Andy Holloway
What I mean, I'll take it.
Jason Moore
Am I wrong about. No, it's 12 and a half points.
Andy Holloway
I mean, the game script should be good for trying to go to Larry. He is the number one wide receiver and I will also acknowledge that. Look, last week against the Raiders, it was Jared Cook who killed them from the slot. So Larry is going to be playing in the slot. It might not, you know, maybe he'll be a volume play, but I have my worries and he's one of those guys where I'm not saying you have to. I'm not saying definitely don't start him, bench him. But if there are other good options, I would be willing to sit Larry for a week and play a. If there's another play that I think, look, this guy's going to have a great week. I'm not going to be fearful.
Mike Wright
Sure.
Andy Holloway
Because of the name Larry Fitzgerald.
Jason Moore
Last week my pump the brakes was Rex Burkhead. This week I'm actually going to surprise people, including my two co hosts who were surprised I went with this. I'm actually going to pump the brakes on Patrick Mahomes. Patrick Mahomes was the, I don't know, my best friend this past week, certainly. But the reality is is that going on the road to Los Angeles is not going on the road at all. There was a clip of the Chiefs Chargers game after they scored a touchdown. Not only is the stadium not filled with any Charger fans, but it's all red. I mean, this was not an intimidating road matchup for Kansas City to start the year. No. Joey Bosa and company. It's going to be a whole nother ball game going into Pittsburgh. Two of his four touchdowns last week were shuffle passes.
Mike Wright
Tap passes.
Jason Moore
Yeah, tap passes. He was 15 for 27. Patrick Mahomes has a bright fantasy future and this game could surprise you. He could go on the road to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh's defense, you know, you can beat him. But I. This is a. Would you rather, would you rather start Patrick Mahomes on the road against Pittsburgh or would you rather start Big Ben at home?
Andy Holloway
Who.
Jason Moore
I'm going to start over Patrick Mahomes. I would start Tyrod Taylor this week over Patrick Mahomes. Tyrod Taylor on the road in New Orleans.
Andy Holloway
Tyrod Taylor is a great, a great play this week. I mean, I don't blame you there. I can certainly see pumping the brakes on. He's not going to repeat last week's performance by any stretch.
Jason Moore
Well, it's just a. Yeah. Who would you start over?
Andy Holloway
But I am, I am certainly a believer in Mahomes and I think he's going to be in a 52 point over under. If the Steelers are able to go and score on the Chiefs, which they should be able to do. Yes, they will, then I think Mahomes will end up having fantasy value. But you are apparently the Mahomes whisper. You called your shot and played him last year.
Jason Moore
I think he'll be okay. But I think you're talking more about 252, which is great if that's better than what you're expecting from your other options. Start Patrick Mahomes, sure. But don't expect four touchdowns. Don't expect him to light them on fire when you go into an intimidating environment. A team that just had a tie with Cleveland, not a badge of honor for most teams. So that's my pump the brakes this week. And those were the pump the brakes with O'Reilly Auto Parts. Better parts, better prices every single day. Let's get into the news.
Andy Holloway
News and notes from around the league.
Jason Moore
Now. Little bit of information here for how this show works. We, we put together kind of a map to the show every day, a document, a document that we reference. We try to keep the show organized, keep it moving along, try to keep all the information there. And Brooks has access to this during the show. So if he thinks we're forgetting to say somebody's team name that we need to say, I'll see his little mouse go in there and I'll highlight a player or highlight something. We clearly did not give a Wednesday fantasy tip. And so I'm seeing this thing drop down the dock over and over again. What tip is that, Brooks? Do you want to share with the listeners?
Andy Holloway
Brooks, why don't you give it we call it drop it like it's high and go see who your league mates have dropped.
Mike Wright
The tilt is real, people.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Week one tilt is happening. It's such a good tip. I mean, everyone's making their waiver claims. And look, people will make stupid decisions on how much they spend, but they will make stupider decisions on who they drop. That's why after the waiver wires segment yesterday, we gave you some examples of people to drop. And, and we're gonna give you a.
Mike Wright
Couple examples that have already hit my timeline.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
On Twitter. And because I know there's a lot of people out, there's a lot of listeners. Maybe you're in a really astute league and you think this would never happen, but we're talking to a lot of.
Jason Moore
People probably as me in it. We're probably stupid.
Mike Wright
Probably it's stupid.
Jason Moore
Oh, astute There are there.
Mike Wright
The tilt is real. I saw a drop, a screenshot. So they sent it in. Somebody picked up Uncle Will. Fine, fine. Montana Strong.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
The tight end from Seattle. You know who they dropped for him? They dropped the tight end who they had drafted.
Jason Moore
Oh, no. Evan Ingram.
Mike Wright
Zach Ertz.
Andy Holloway
No, they did not. They did.
Mike Wright
People are people, I swear. People are dropping Rex Burkhead. People are dropping Kerryon Johnson.
Andy Holloway
Derrick Henry. You pumped but they're dropping you. Don't drop Derrick Henry.
Mike Wright
I completely agree with that.
Andy Holloway
So drop it like it's hot. Check.
Mike Wright
Go check it out. Maybe this, maybe I'm not speaking directly to you, but there are a lot of people out there who need to go check the waiver wires.
Jason Moore
Got a question. This morning Kerry on Johnson was dropped. What percentage of your fab would you spend on carry on Johnson? 50%.
Andy Holloway
No, no, I wouldn't say 30%.
Mike Wright
I would say, you know that. 15 to 25%. I would be. I would be aggressive, but I'm not going to. I'm not going to blow up the budget right now to get carry on.
Jason Moore
Panthers tight end Greg Olson plans to rest his fractured foot a few weeks and then play the rest of the season. He's optimistic he can wait until after the season for surgery. A pain management issue.
Mike Wright
Are you guys stashing Greg Olson?
Andy Holloway
I guess I am not. I'm not taking.
Jason Moore
Tight ends are rough, man.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I agree tight ends are rough, but I feel like all their feet are broken. Is you're taking let's say a month where you are now lighting one of your bench spots on fire for the hope that when he comes back it's not going to get re injured and that he's going to be better than he was in the vast majority of games last year before he got injured.
Jason Moore
You're not necessarily lighting it on fire, though. Well, if he's declared out for the week, he goes into your.
Mike Wright
I'm talking about teams that don't have IR capability. Oh, this is. You're sitting on your bench.
Jason Moore
I'd probably move on. Yeah, I'm with Jason.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. If you can throw him in your ir, definitely don't drop him.
Jason Moore
All right. Desean Jackson is dealing with a shoulder injury on top of the concussion.
Mike Wright
Unfortunate.
Jason Moore
Light up your Chris Godwin this week.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
Even against Philly.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
Sealers coach Mike Tomlin said Big Ben has a minor elbow injury. Could limit him in practice. We expect him to play. Martavis Bryant resigned to a one year deal.
Andy Holloway
Raiders.
Jason Moore
This was a. This feels like a tilt move by The Raiders stop like it was Jared Cook and no one else. And then John Gruden came out yesterday and said, you know, we need to get Amari Cooper going. Easier said than done.
Andy Holloway
What I don't understand.
Jason Moore
That's not a bad. It's not an endorsement.
Andy Holloway
I assume you two gentlemen know more. I thought he was suspended.
Mike Wright
It has not happened.
Jason Moore
No. It's just the fear of a suspension. And then there was a lack of performance by Martavis Bryant in camp when he was originally cut. Jon Gruden came out and said, look, we expected more from Martavis.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
He doesn't understand the playbook. He's not offering us much on the field.
Andy Holloway
And it's more than a Martin Cooper come back.
Jason Moore
That's what I mean. I think it's more of an indictment on the existing receiving core. Look, you got. You can't blame, as a coach, Derek Carr in a way, right? You can't. You can't blame him so much that you. I just think mentally you're. You're probably put everything into Derek Carr for better or for worse.
Mike Wright
I can blame Derek Carr for a lot.
Jason Moore
We can. But as a head coach. Oh, you need to put the onus on other people to give confidence to your quarterback. So it's like, yes, in part, like, mentally, you're just saying, hey, let's go get another weapon for him. Let Martavis run in a straight line till he's suspended. That's what it is, right? I mean, that's just. Just if he's suspended mid route, just run out of the stadium. Just run straight out. Josh Allen is going to start.
Mike Wright
Hooray.
Jason Moore
I believe you can start Kelvin Benjamin as a flex this week.
Andy Holloway
Who? We'll talk about Kelvin in a little bit.
Mike Wright
Yep.
Jason Moore
Where am I? Nick Foles is going to start.
Mike Wright
Yeah. So Carson Wentz is out yet again and.
Jason Moore
Tampa might win this game.
Mike Wright
Yeah. In the Tampa Bay defense.
Andy Holloway
How.
Mike Wright
What's your confidence level in streaming the Tampa Bay defense against Nick Foltz?
Jason Moore
I'm okay with it.
Andy Holloway
I'm not super thrilled about it. I.
Jason Moore
Honestly, when the game's in Tampa, low, over under, I'd do it.
Andy Holloway
When I look at it, I actually consider whether or not Nick Foles is a streamable option against that defense. We've seen. Here's the thing with Nick Foles. We've seen so many times where he just outright sucks, but we've seen plenty of times where he lights it up for fantasy.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Multi touchdown, no interception, huge yardage games. Now, the one thing against him right now, Is no Alshon and the wide receiver core is kind of a little banged up.
Jason Moore
Flashed anything positive preseason in season yet?
Mike Wright
I'm super ready for Nelson Aguilar's 10 receptions for 42 yards.
Jason Moore
That's aiming high, Mike.
Mike Wright
It's gonna be great.
Jason Moore
Might be under 40 with that many receptions. Lev Bell continued his holdout did not report.
Mike Wright
Cool.
Andy Holloway
It's it. Do you guys agree that it's looking like week 10?
Jason Moore
Yeah, I'm not going to jump to that conclusion yet. It's not looking like week two right now. And let me ask you this question. Is he losing money?
Mike Wright
Yeah. $800,000 at a time.
Jason Moore
I know that. But is he losing real money?
Andy Holloway
Yes, he is. 100%.
Jason Moore
If he waits till week 10, is somebody going to go pay him what he wants?
Mike Wright
No.
Andy Holloway
The only way that he is not losing money is if and we could never know this is if he were to have gotten injured due to extra games. I mean, he is losing money that it's not like someone's going to overpay an extra $10 million next year on a contract because he missed his first 10 weeks. He's just straight losing money.
Jason Moore
Chris Carson, according to Pete Carroll, quote, really took the lead at the position and Rashad Penny looked a little rusty. Do you buy it and do you start Chris Carson?
Andy Holloway
Chris Carson is a is a startable player for sure, but I still firmly believe that similar to Carry On Johnson, I think the backups here will win out by the over the course of the season.
Mike Wright
Yeah, a rusty Rashad Penny still received a lot of work.
Jason Moore
A Rusty Penny.
Mike Wright
Rusty Penny.
Jason Moore
Yeah, a rusty old Penny. Cam Meredith was a healthy scratch in week one because he had missed so much training camp and practice time, which means he may be active in the future, but it's going to be a road to relevance for Cameron Meredith.
Mike Wright
Agreed.
Jason Moore
All right, before we get into stash or trash, we want to thank Fando for sponsoring today's show. Fantasy football season, as you know, underway. Some of us had rough weeks. You can take the edge off a rough week.

Andy Holloway
Stash or trash?
Jason Moore
All right. Stash or trash? Questions? These came in from our Instagram and from Twitter. Calvin Benjamin. Stasher Trash faces the Chargers, Vikings, Packers. In the next three weeks, newly minted quarterback Josh Allen, behind center, will be much better than Nathan Peterman. In fact, he put one right on the belly of Calvin Benjamin in this past week.
Mike Wright
Did he catch it?
Jason Moore
No, he didn't. But I would prefer the ball thrown to my wide receiver in the end zone.
Mike Wright
That's a fair point.
Jason Moore
And I personally think that he is a stash. What do you guys say?
Andy Holloway
He is a hesitant stash. I mean, there are plenty of wide receivers that I would rather pick up. I would Rather have Ted Ginn right now than I would Kelvin Benjamin. But he is, you know, because of the change of quarterback. I mean, maybe you hold them another week. The problem with him is this opening schedule, you know, not just this coming week, but then even next week. It's like, when are. How long do you hold before you can play a guy who, when you play him, is pretty much a flex type of option? I mean, do you see what is his ceiling with Josh Allen, Andy, or my ceiling?
Jason Moore
He's a 15 target guy. He could have 15 targets with Josh Allen easily. This is a team that's going to get disintegrated weekly garbage time. Fifteen targets, a touchdown. I think that there is upside to Kelvin Benjamin. Now, you don't have to believe me. You can trash him, you can go trade him in for Brandon Marshall or something like that, but you're still the number one on a team with a guy that has, I think, top five NFL arm talent. He's the guy they're going to throw it to. You're not going to throw it to Jeremy Curley.
Mike Wright
Sure. The problem with Kelvin Benjamin, even with the optimism of the new quarterback, I agree completely with Jason. Okay, let's say you stash him for the Charger game and he shows a little bit. He gets you 50 yards, you go, oh, okay. Then he goes on the road to Minnesota and the road to Lambeau. You're not playing him in those contests. I am not. I'm not even considering playing him against Xavier Rhodes.
Andy Holloway
I might play him in Lambeau, but that's still weeks from now.
Mike Wright
So why I'm sitting my belief in the. In the Green Bay secondary. I think they're a very strong unit. And I just.
Jason Moore
Kelvin Benjamin's bigger than all those guys.
Andy Holloway
Right.
Mike Wright
But he's not better.
Andy Holloway
No.
Jason Moore
Part of not. But I don't have the same kind of like, granular hesitancy about that. He's a number one on an NFL offense.
Andy Holloway
Right?
Jason Moore
That's it. That's the only reason I'm stashing him.
Mike Wright
Part of. When I went back and watched the Baltimore Ravens Buffalo Bills game. Yeah, part of that was I got to see a lot of Kelvin Benjamin. And yes, targets were not. Some targets were not close to him, but there were some targets that were close to him that he should have caught and was not even close to catching him.
Jason Moore
Yeah, he's not. Not a great player overall. Tariq Cohen, stash of trash.
Mike Wright
Man, this is a tough one.
Jason Moore
I don't think he's a. I don't Think he's a stash?
Andy Holloway
I would be willing.
Mike Wright
I lean that way as well.
Andy Holloway
He's a guy that.
Jason Moore
Is he a hesitant stash again?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I mean, it really is because he's a guy.
Jason Moore
Junior high, pubescent mustache.
Andy Holloway
If you're in a deeper league, just.
Jason Moore
Hesitant, a couple of hairs. It's not coming out, certainly.
Andy Holloway
Or you don't shave it because you.
Jason Moore
Want to be a man.
Andy Holloway
You're in a 14 team league. Shave it deeper. Then I would. I would say, yeah. I mean, maybe even pick him up. But Philip Lindsay, I would much, much, much rather have. So, I mean, if there are waiver pickups right now, that I would say, absolutely. If I have to drop someone like Cohen to pick up someone better than you got, you got to do that. And this is another. Because it's so early in the season, guys throw out what you spent on these players in the draft. It doesn't matter anymore. It's just, you know, when you try to imbue. Oh, yeah, this guy was drafted ahead of that guy. Irrelevant. The quicker you get that out of your system early in the season, the better it will be for you.
Jason Moore
That's great advice, Jay. Absolutely. Sammy Watkins, stash or trash? Yeah, speaking of Sammy Watkins. Stasher. Trash.
Mike Wright
I'm going to stash him for now.
Andy Holloway
I'm going to pass on this question.
Jason Moore
Oh, yeah, no, I sure pass.
Andy Holloway
I have to stash right now.
Mike Wright
Take a look at what happened in the actual Kansas City game.
Jason Moore
15 completions.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
It was a weird game. It was a weird game. Travis Kelsey had won for Tyree Kill and Patrick Mahomes. So this. I'm not. I'm not ready to move on from Sammy Watkins yet.
Andy Holloway
It just. It doesn't feel good coming off of the preseason.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Where Watkins was irrelevant. And now you go into week one and he's irrelevant.
Jason Moore
Are we going to be at the end of this season? You know that. Do you remember the scene at the end of Lord of the Rings when they go off in the boat into the. Into the sunset? They just. You push them off. I feel like Sammy Watkins and Amari Cooper might end up on that boat. And we're just waving goodbye and we're just pushing them over the fall. Over the falls.
Andy Holloway
I feel like that's the boat where when you push them, you're also drawing back that flaming arrow.
Mike Wright
Oh, the Viking funeral.
Jason Moore
It's the Viking funeral.
Mike Wright
If Sammy's doing that, he'll just jump into his bank vault to protect himself from that area.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Goodness. All right, Duke Johnson, Stash or Trash?
Andy Holloway
I'm going to stash him. It was a weird, rainy game, but he is a guy I am watching like crazy. One target.
Mike Wright
No, no, no. One reception.
Andy Holloway
One reception he had. That is. Yes, that's what I meant. One reception was troubling.
Jason Moore
Cortland Sutton, Mike Stasher, trash. He had a. He had an interesting game because he had 45 yards receiving on two receptions. He was out there a lot. I think this is what you're going to get with Cortland Sutton, though. You're going to get. If he makes the most of the deeper opportunities, you'll be okay. I think you probably stash him.
Mike Wright
I.
Jason Moore
But I guess it just depends on who. Like, would you rather have Brandon Marshall or Cortland Sutton on your roster?
Mike Wright
I'd have rather Brandon Marshall right now.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
He's the number three. Manny Sanders still got it. Demarius Thomas still has something. So until those things go away, Cortland Sutton is, as a rookie, is not going to establish himself as a first or second read in this position.
Andy Holloway
A lot of these decisions depend on your roster. If you need to start, like, if you needed to start, if you have to play with that position, then I would much rather have Brandon Marshall. But if I'm saying, okay, I've got. My starters are intact, who would I rather have on my bench as depth, Brandon Marshall or Cortland Sutton?
Mike Wright
Sure.
Andy Holloway
Then I would go Sutton. Because the ceiling over the next few weeks, if I don't need them to start right now, I still think it's higher.
Jason Moore
Well, I guess. I guess I got my guys.
Mike Wright
The waivers have run. The waivers have run.
Andy Holloway
You overpaid, didn't.
Jason Moore
I'm sure I overpaid, but I made a. Oh, I barely overpay. No, I paid, so. All right, this is what. Welcome to our league. $44. I spent $44 on George Kittle.
Mike Wright
Crap.
Andy Holloway
Well, I was not getting him.
Jason Moore
However, the next highest bid was $40. The next highest after that was 27. Yeah, look, I said it yesterday on the show. I was a big, big believer. If you look at the route, the routes that George Kittle ran, this was a center of the offense performance to me. You've got an opportunity to grab Mike. Do you think I overspent with $44?
Mike Wright
It's a lot of money. But I do believe by the end of the season, George Kittle is going to be one of those tight ends that you actually just plug in and you play him every single week. And you're. Now you're not worried about your tight end position anymore?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I mean, obviously I wanted him. Brooks and I made a claim of $27, and when we did that, I was like, man, we're probably overspending. But I believe in him. I mean, I, you know, I went back and I looked at my stats for him on the season. Turns out I was the. I was surprised. I was the second highest on Kittle of the 150 experts in the draft season. So I'm like, man, apparently I believe in him more than I thought I did.
Jason Moore
According to my stats, Mike was dead on. Mike was dead on about George Kittle.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I'm going full in. I'm going to spend 27. I'm getting them. No, 44.
Jason Moore
Yeah. $44. Locking it. Locking it in. I also ended up with Philip Lindsay in that league.
Mike Wright
No, not bad.
Jason Moore
So we'll see. Back to Stasher trash. We'll fly through these before the Thursday night preview. Latavius Murray.
Mike Wright
Stasher Trash looks like a handcuff at this point. So if you're into that sort of thing, then you can stash him.
Jason Moore
Alfred Morris.
Andy Holloway
Oh, you got to stash him 100%.
Jason Moore
Stash Marlon Mack stash.
Andy Holloway
He could. I mean, he should be the starter. You don't drop a starting running back.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Are you considering drop? Please do. I'd pick him up. I mean, I know I've been the Marlon Mack guy of this table.
Jason Moore
Well, you don't think Mac's going to come in and like Hines and Wilbur. No carries. Right.
Mike Wright
Hines is the problem. Naim Hines got a ton of play for this team and sure, okay, Marlon Mack is the starter because he gets the first snap. But this way this thing is trending into a cerebras with Mack, Wilkins and.
Andy Holloway
Hines and Robert Turman.
Jason Moore
Heinz is the problem. Yeah, that's exactly what Hunt's ketchup said.
Andy Holloway
I'm gonna need bad.
Mike Wright
Real bad.
Andy Holloway
That was real bad. Yeah.
Jason Moore
Matthew Stafford. That might have been the worst ever. Matthew Stafford. That might have been your stupid dad jokes book sitting around the office.
Mike Wright
You're infected.
Jason Moore
You're infected. Yeah, I'm infected. That was trash. Stash or trash? That was trash. The joke was trash. Matthew Stafford. What do you do San Francisco this week?
Andy Holloway
Look at San Francisco. I'm still willing to roll with them. I'm going to look at all of the players. When it's a Stafford level guy, that's a. I'm 100% willing to play him. I'm not fearful from week one that he's just the worst quarterback on the planet. This is what, like a nine year vet. We've got plenty of tape. We know what Matthew Stafford is. However, he's. He's always. All of these guys to me are in the cut zone where if there's a better matchup. If you think Tyrod Taylor going to New Orleans has a higher ceiling, then I'm. I'm always willing to cut a quarterback.
Mike Wright
Quarterbacks, after week one, when they, when they give you a performance like Matthew Stafford did, that is one of the hardest things to get over. I'm thinking back to last year with Kirk Cousins and he came out and did this. I mean, he had a really bad week one, and then everything was perfectly fine for Kirk Cousins and he was a top six guy. But it's hard to go back in when a quarterback destroys your team like that.
Jason Moore
Let's jump into the Thursday night preview. Man, we're already in week two.
Mike Wright
Yep.
Jason Moore
And we'll get into the mailbag. Baltimore Ravens want to know. Don't know what we know about them. They played a really bad Bills team. Cincinnati Bengals Thursday night. Looking forward to this game. The game's in Cincinnati. It's a very interesting one. The line is one. It's a plus one to the Bengals, so they're not favored at home. And then 44 point over under. Look, divisional game. I would take the under in this one. I think it's going to be a dog fight. I know. Mike, you said you thought Joe Flacco might have a good week. Yeah. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't think on Thursday Night football, divisional games like this, I'm not buying into that. In fact, I don't really want to start anybody at all in Baltimore other than I think you can move forward with Alex Collins because Kenneth Dixon is out. So Collins is the only guy I like. Do you like anybody else, Jason?
Andy Holloway
Not. Not really from Baltimore, obviously. If you have Joe Mixon, you're going to continue to start him. He looks like a true workhorse. And then your AJ Greens, I pluralize that like there were others. But I think that's it, right?
Jason Moore
There's only one A.J.
Andy Holloway
Green, no other Bengals. But I mean.
Jason Moore
Oh, I thought you meant you pluralized greens.
Andy Holloway
Baltimore has been incredible, incredibly good against a tight end forever for, you know, Harbaugh era. So I'm not in love with Eiffert this week. I mean, you know, he's a. He's always a touchdown possibility. So if you throw him in, it's look, you could do worse. Tight ends are all garbage right now. But yeah, there's. There's not going to be a lot of fantasy love here. This is the first Thursday night game where it's short preparation time and we've seen a lot of those games just be really ugly, really offensively lousy games. And then you're telling me that it's Andy Dalton, Joe Flacco on top of that with two pretty good defenses. I agree with Andy. I think it's going to be a low scoring affair that I don't really, I'm not looking forward to. Don't want to have a ton of players in this matchup.
Jason Moore
Last week, each Ravens running back had a rushing touchdown. Each Ravens wide receiver had a receiving touchdown.
Andy Holloway
It's an Oprah Winfrey situation. You get a touchdown, you get a reception.
Jason Moore
I'm going to Crabtree, Brown, Snead, and then Collins, Allen, Dixon.
Mike Wright
I'm going to read you something that may surprise you. So last year, the final five games of the season, Joe Flacco averaged 25 completions for over 250 yards and nearly two touchdowns a game. Joe I watching the game. This was a far more aggressive Ravens team. Last week, Joe Flacco threw the ball in the red zone eight times. He had three red zone passing touchdowns. On a team that you can run the crap out of, you can run the ball against Buffalo, and they have a pretty decent secondary and the Ravens passing offense took care of business. I'm not, I'm not at the point where I'm ready to stream Joe Flacco and be all in, but I.
Jason Moore
But your eyebrow went up when you watched the game.
Andy Holloway
The I.
Mike Wright
We got to stop just trashing Joe Flacco as a fantasy quarterback.
Andy Holloway
Kind of like, I can totally get.
Jason Moore
Behind the Bortles mindset.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Mike Wright
There was a really, really rough stretch for Joe Flacco. I'm not going to overlook that.
Andy Holloway
Honestly, if this game were a Sunday game at home, to me, that would be very different than a short preparation going on the road.
Jason Moore
All right, here's a different question for you before we jump into the mailbag. Would you rather have Blake Bortles or Derek Carr?
Andy Holloway
Oh, Bortles. Oh, wait, are you saying as an NFL team or for Dynasty, for fantasy portals? Mike, it's not close to me.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Oh, that is. That's very, very difficult question because of team philosophy.
Jason Moore
Two years ago, MVP candidate for Derek Carr, I saw some power rankings from 2017. Their quarterback situation was ranked number two.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
In the long term, Prognostication. It's just funny how things change, right?
Andy Holloway
Except, I mean, look at Bortles, who's been basically a top 12 quarterback for fans.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
What about in the NFL, though?
Andy Holloway
Well, if I'm saying if I like.
Jason Moore
NFL franchise, who do you want to be your quarterback? Car.
Andy Holloway
I would rather have car than Bortles.
Mike Wright
Can I say neither?
Jason Moore
You can say neither. Or Dak Prescott.
Andy Holloway
No.
Mike Wright
Come on, quarterbacks.
Andy Holloway
Be better.
Jason Moore
Let's open the midback.
Andy Holloway
Mailbag. Mailbag.
Jason Moore
I'm really excited to have George Kittle. I really am.
Andy Holloway
You should be. You should be $44 excited.
Jason Moore
I don't have a choice. I have to be excited at this point. The worst part of that is here. Here's the problem.
Mike Wright
You could have drafted him.
Jason Moore
Well, sure. Mistakes were made. It's kind of like luckily in Dynasty, I grabbed Philip Lindsay the week before. I'm thinking of all the fab I saved. Right, right. With Kittle, the great fear of the fantasy owner. Especially if you invested what I did, which. Look, that's a lot.
Mike Wright
Yeah, that's a lot.
Jason Moore
But if he stinks this week and you spend 44 fab. Pivoting is hard. I have to roster him for a while now. Pot committed. Well, or do I?
Andy Holloway
I am.
Jason Moore
Tell me That's. That's question one.
Andy Holloway
I am. Well, you don't want to overreact based on one bad performance this coming week, so. But I would say you don't need to hold him because you spent $44. It's the same philosophy of. I spent a fourth round pick on this guy. He's supposed to be good. If he's not, he's not. Move on. Or at least, you know, when you're negotiating in trades, get rid of the value.
Mike Wright
But the fab is kind of.
Jason Moore
That mindset only goes so far, Jay. Right. I mean, if it's a first round draft pick, there are. You're not doing that well. But the reason I'm a first rounder.
Andy Holloway
No, of course not, but.
Jason Moore
Or a 44 Faber.
Andy Holloway
But that's not just because you drafted him in the first round. It's actually the reasons behind drafting him in the first round. The, you know, those, those symptoms to the disease are the reason that you would still hold on to him.
Jason Moore
You just call me a disease.
Andy Holloway
I don't. I didn't mean to, but if I did. Fantastic.
Jason Moore
First question coming in here from Ethan in Hoskins, New England. Should I trade James Conner for Kenyon Drake?
Mike Wright
Ooh, that's a great question. So that falls Right in line with what we've said. The only way I'm moving James Conner right now is if I get a season long or what I perceive to be a season long starting running back. You, you jump out of the game of is Le'Veon Bell going to be back this week? Is he going to be back this week?
Andy Holloway
Yeah. It's still tough.
Mike Wright
It's really hard. James Conner is going to be an RB1 this week again.
Andy Holloway
Every week I think he'll be an RB1 just about every with his usage 100% of the running down Bell type of work. So even if his efficiency is nowhere near what Love Bells is, he's going to be an RB one almost week in, week out.
Mike Wright
So what you're doing here until Le'Veon Bell comes back.
Andy Holloway
Correct.
Mike Wright
Which maybe that's next week.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. So you know, this is, this is. I'm trading the immediate future. I would do it getting a little bit worse for a long term proposition. So I would do it if I absolutely need that person to be a starter. You know, if James Conner is locked in and you don't really have a good option behind to, you know, if it's like you could take James Conner out and put in Tevin Coleman, that's your next player on your depth chart, then I would absolutely trade for Kenyon Drake, someone that's going to lock that position up for the entire year. But if you know a lot of people are going to have James Conner just because they scooped him up on waivers and maybe they've got good running backs and if they've got other good starters for the season, I'm going to just keep riding the hot points.
Jason Moore
The hot points. Ride the hot points.
Mike Wright
That's how I like my points.
Jason Moore
If you have a question, you can go to the website and click on the Submit a Question button, the fantasy footballers.com or dial the voicemail hotline. 302464 TFFB. Here's a voicemail question.
Andy Holloway
What's going on?
Jason Moore
Footballers, this is Corey from Denver. Quick question regarding waiver ads. Had a guy in our league drop Anthony Miller, wide receiver of the Bears.
Mike Wright
Monday morning after he had already played.
Andy Holloway
To pick up Jared Cook. Curious if you guys feel that a.
Jason Moore
Player that has played is locked and cannot be dropped.
Andy Holloway
Half our league is split on this.
Jason Moore
Just trying to figure out what you guys think.
Mike Wright
100.
Jason Moore
100% locked.
Andy Holloway
100. I don't even understand. He must be the commissioner.
Mike Wright
No, it's on Yahoo.
Andy Holloway
Yahoo lets you drop players.
Mike Wright
They did last year. I was in a league and I was shocked to find out. I was shocked to find out that if a player who was on my bench, if they have already played in their NFL game, I was able to drop.
Jason Moore
So it's bench related because if you had started in, then he would be locked. He would have been locked. So they're letting you drop a bench guy to draft. No, I don't like that.
Andy Holloway
I don't like it at all. But I will say if the platform.
Mike Wright
If platform specifically, I'm not trying to enforce a rule that the platform allows. It's now. Now you know, now you know that this is. These are the rules of engagement.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Mike Wright
And act accordingly.
Andy Holloway
If the platform allows it, you have to. I mean, look, suspended players should not go in an ir, but if your platform allows it, then. Then you can't say no.
Jason Moore
Yeah, fair enough. Another voicemail.
Mike Wright
Hey, ballers.
Andy Holloway
John calling you from Phoenix, Arizona. Oh, it's that glorious time of the week where you get to see who other drop. And I saw another owner in our league dropped Mike Williams, who I'm really high on this year. So my question to you guys is, would you drop Kelvin Benjamin to pick up Mike Williams? Thank you so much for the podcast and the guidance.
Mike Wright
Appreciate you guys.
Andy Holloway
Oh, this. This is a great Andy Holiday question.
Mike Wright
My question to you, sir, I'd rather.
Jason Moore
Have Mike Wayne, is why have you.
Mike Wright
Not picked up Mike Williams yet over Kelvin Benjamin?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I mean, I would rather have Mike Williams as well, but I was curious because, Andy, you're the highest on Kelvin right now of the three of, but you've also been very high on Mike Williams, so I wanted to know who you'd rather have.
Jason Moore
I'd rather have Mike Williams.
Andy Holloway
Yep. Agreed.
Jason Moore
He looked good. He looked good in week one.
Andy Holloway
He did.
Jason Moore
So we'll see where that goes. Stephen and Hershey, who do you guys feel is the least trustworthy coach when it comes to hyping up a player? Feel like Pete Carroll does it every year.
Andy Holloway
That was the name that came to mind.
Jason Moore
Yeah, he's just a hype machine. Adam Gaze is not very good either. Yeah, those are in that department.
Mike Wright
Those are the two camps where you get the most nonsense spewing out during the offseason.
Andy Holloway
The most nonsense. But he. Adam Gaze isn't always a hype machine. Sometimes he's a destroy your player machine. You know, talk bad about this guy's needing to step up. Pete Carroll is just. He's going to be the best player of all time.
Mike Wright
He's an eternal optimist.
Jason Moore
So you don't chew that much bubble gum unless you're an optimist.
Mike Wright
If I wasn't talking from the perspective of fantasy football, I would love it. If I was a Seattle fan, I would love Pete Carroll.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Mike Wright
I like that. I like that motivational tactic as opposed to trying to tell somebody to get bodied and they suck, hoping that they'll get better.
Andy Holloway
Shaming them into getting better.
Mike Wright
Exactly. I'm more on the Pete Carroll side of let's build them up. But I play fantasy football, so I need accurate information.
Jason Moore
Pete Carroll, tilt check. Matt in Kansas City, can Russell Wilson be started this week against the Bears? I have Flacco on my bench. I'm consistent starting him over Wilson.
Mike Wright
I would still start Wilson.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Russell Wilson is the clear start.
Jason Moore
I've seen a lot in fear.
Mike Wright
Russell Wilson with. With no number one target.
Jason Moore
With Will Disney.
Mike Wright
This is. Yeah, this is the Will Disley Montana strong. The moose wrestler himself. Will Disley.
Jason Moore
Mooses.
Mike Wright
The Mooses.
Andy Holloway
Thank you, Andy.
Mike Wright
Well, you can't look.
Andy Holloway
He could take on a whole pack.
Mike Wright
No, he. As strong as Will Disley is, there is no way he can wrestle multiple mooses.
Jason Moore
No, he could ride them, though. He could probably ride them.
Andy Holloway
Jean Claude, do people ride mooses?
Jason Moore
That's what I want to know. Has anybody ever tried?
Andy Holloway
No, they are not tame.
Mike Wright
Yeah, they are angry animals, but they're.
Jason Moore
Not wrestling shaped in a fashion that would allow you to ride them.
Andy Holloway
So it should be because they have.
Mike Wright
Four legs and they're large.
Jason Moore
Yeah. I mean, just like a zebra. Do people ride zebras?
Andy Holloway
People do ride zebras. Yes, they do.
Jason Moore
They do.
Andy Holloway
Absolutely.
Jason Moore
What do you mean, absolutely? Is there a wild west of Africa that I don't know about?
Andy Holloway
Zoos have, like, a zebra ride.
Jason Moore
What?
Mike Wright
What zoos are you going to.
Jason Moore
Did you just say most zoos have a zebra ride?
Andy Holloway
Wrong in this.
Mike Wright
There are elephant rides.
Andy Holloway
Zebra ride.
Jason Moore
Who's riding zebras? I've never seen a saddle on a zebra.
Andy Holloway
I did.
Jason Moore
What?
Andy Holloway
I'm looking it up. I'm Brooks.
Jason Moore
Let's take information about this whatsoever.
Andy Holloway
I do not. Baby.
Jason Moore
Josh, do you ride zebras around? No. He waved. No.
Mike Wright
What is happening?
Andy Holloway
This question is, why don't people ride zebras?
Jason Moore
Yeah. Because I've never, ever seen a person on a zebra.
Andy Holloway
I mean, people have ridden a zebra. Video evidence.
Mike Wright
You could paint your horse.
Andy Holloway
That's the ticket.
Mike Wright
Give them stripes.
Jason Moore
Paint your horse to look like a zebra. That's.
Andy Holloway
It's the referee of horses.
Jason Moore
Oh, my gosh. The ref. All right, last question. Christian in El Paso, Texas. Is Josh Gordon a keeper?
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Got a trade offer today requesting Josh Gordon for Rex Burkhead.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I would take Rex in that situation. But Josh Gordon is a keeper. Absolutely a keeper. But I also believe that Josh Gordon is a great option to trade because not to the average person. The average person views Josh Gordon about right. But there are, every league will have two or three people that view Josh Gordon as a wide receiver, one a top five potential and you're going to be able to trade that kind of value that I don't think he's ever going to get this season.
Jason Moore
This might be the week though. But here. Question from Andy in Arizona.
Mike Wright
Yes, Andy, how do you feel about.
Jason Moore
Josh Gordon right now?
Andy Holloway
Well, this week is a great matchup according to what we saw from Tampa Bay torching the New Orleans Saints last week.
Jason Moore
Like are you starting him this week?
Andy Holloway
I think he's a flex. Yeah. I mean, Mike.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I think he is. He has flex.
Jason Moore
Keelan Cole against New England or Josh Gordon.
Mike Wright
Josh Gordon the. What is upsetting about Josh Gordon is they talked about he's not going to start. He's going to be on a snap count. The dude played 77.5% of Cleveland snaps.
Jason Moore
And started, which is a good sign. Yes, in the middle of a rainstorm.
Mike Wright
But he only got three targets. Meanwhile, Jarvis Landry 14 target cruising over the century mark.
Jason Moore
Told you. I love Jarvis Landry.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I mean that's the concerning part.
Jason Moore
Jarvis Landry in the rain did Jarvis Landry things. I targeted him. I made trade offers for him all day yesterday which are now going to be rejected vehemently if they listen to.
Andy Holloway
The show and they do.
Mike Wright
Yeah, just send them George title. Say he's worth $44 a fab.
Jason Moore
Oh my goodness. Yeah. Well, hey, we'll see how that buy in goes.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Thanks for listening to the show. Draft.com/Ballers if you want to play some daily and if you want advice, grab the Ultimate DFS Pass at ultimate dfs pass.com we'll be back tomorrow with starts of the week. Goodbye.
Mike Wright
Goodbye.
