Quick question of the day before we get into it. We haven't talked about Kenyan Drake and the Infinity Stone himself, Frank Gore over the weekend. Drake was 14 for 48, caught another three passes for 18 yards on four targets, had eight fantasy points. Frank Gore was 9 for 61. Had a couple of those oh, wait, is that Frank Gore moments in that game.

He is infinite.

He is infinite. He is, he is Gore. He did nothing to damage his timeshare capabilities in this game. So how do you feel about Kenyon Drake? How do you feel about Frank Gore? I watched this game, you know, in several broken up parts over seven hours and I thought Gore looked good, but I thought Drake looked good. So I thought Drake looked great, actually.

Oh yeah. I mean, I believe even the commentator on the broadcast said Kenyon great at one point. I'm not too worried about this.

A lot of times we did it on purpose though. He probably did it on accident.

Probably the latter. You know, if you're just box score watching, if you're just basically looking at the end you go, oh, Frank Gore had more yards than Kenyan Drake. But you know, if you go back and do some film analysis, Kyle Borgignon, he's getting back to back shout outs on the show here because he's doing such good work. He went back and watched and he basically said, you know, the difference in offensive line play on those plays between when Gore was running through, I believe he said that even baby Josh could have run successfully through those massive holes.

That Frank Gore, a statement that I.

Dispute, of course, absolutely false. I mean there's no way baby Josh, he would have fallen down because keep in mind, I think he's still crawling.

All right. I'm pumping the brakes. I talked about. I'm concerned for him earlier on an earlier show and that is Derek Henry. I did not like his usage.

He was the starter and they tried to get him going. He simply did not get it going. And Dion Lewis is clearly the better running back. He out snapped Derek Henry. He out touched Derrick Henry. He had more third down work. He had more.

[Jason Moore]

My eyes enjoyed watching him more.

[Mike Wright]

It's very troubling for Derek Henry who, granted he had a monster touchdown run that would have completely changed everything for his fantasy football performance. It got called back on a holding call that had nothing to do with the run. Unfortunate part of football. It's unfortunate for my fantasy football team because if that had happened, I would be selling the crap out of Derrick Henry right now. Going, look at this huge fantasy day that Derrick Henry had. Now he has to take on the Houston Texans. The Texans were able to completely shut down the running game of Rex Burkhead and the New England Patriots. I'm very concerned for him in this particular matchup and season long as well. If Dion Lewis is that much better than Derrick Henry, which I think we all agree that Dion Lewis is the better running back, it's it's DeMarco Murray and Derek Henry all over again. Except now DeMarco Murray is Dion Lewis.

[Jason Moore]

This coaching staff knows that. He knows what they know what Derek Henry is. The problem with Derek Henry all off season was the draft price because it was imbuing something to him that the coaching staff didn't imbue when they went and signed one of the best runners in the league in Deion Lewis. Yeah, right. I mean Derek Henry in and of itself. You told me he's a seventh, eighth round pick.

[Mike Wright]

I'm interested.

[Jason Moore]

He's flexing in my role. But. But then again, people that did spend on him, they have to make decisions now. And you're telling them, hey, pump the brakes.

And the expectations might not be the.

All right, my Pump the brakes this week is a hall of fame wonderful wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. I've talked about for the last several months. His home road splits have been a real issue. He is not as good on the road as he is at home. And he's going on the road to the Los Angeles Rams who have Marcus Peters and a keep Talib and a pass rush that is going to destroy frightened Sam Bradford. Now if you're in a full ppr, he should have enough targets to where, you know, maybe. Maybe he gets seven for 60 and you're okay with that. But I think that that to me is his ceiling. I feel like 7 for 60 is. He had a great game. I worry that his floor is, you know, he's going to get 4 for 30 in a matchup where I believe.

[Jason Moore]

The line in that game is 12 and a half points.

[Andy Holloway]

What I mean, I'll take it.

Am I wrong about. No, it's 12 and a half points.

I mean, the game script should be good for trying to go to Larry. He is the number one wide receiver and I will also acknowledge that. Look, last week against the Raiders, it was Jared Cook who killed them from the slot. So Larry is going to be playing in the slot. It might not, you know, maybe he'll be a volume play, but I have my worries and he's one of those guys where I'm not saying you have to. I'm not saying definitely don't start him, bench him. But if there are other good options, I would be willing to sit Larry for a week and play a. If there's another play that I think, look, this guy's going to have a great week. I'm not going to be fearful.

Because of the name Larry Fitzgerald.

Last week my pump the brakes was Rex Burkhead. This week I'm actually going to surprise people, including my two co hosts who were surprised I went with this. I'm actually going to pump the brakes on Patrick Mahomes. Patrick Mahomes was the, I don't know, my best friend this past week, certainly. But the reality is is that going on the road to Los Angeles is not going on the road at all. There was a clip of the Chiefs Chargers game after they scored a touchdown. Not only is the stadium not filled with any Charger fans, but it's all red. I mean, this was not an intimidating road matchup for Kansas City to start the year. No. Joey Bosa and company. It's going to be a whole nother ball game going into Pittsburgh. Two of his four touchdowns last week were shuffle passes.

[Mike Wright]

Tap passes.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, tap passes. He was 15 for 27. Patrick Mahomes has a bright fantasy future and this game could surprise you. He could go on the road to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh's defense, you know, you can beat him. But I. This is a. Would you rather, would you rather start Patrick Mahomes on the road against Pittsburgh or would you rather start Big Ben at home?

Who.

I'm going to start over Patrick Mahomes. I would start Tyrod Taylor this week over Patrick Mahomes. Tyrod Taylor on the road in New Orleans.

[Andy Holloway]

Tyrod Taylor is a great, a great play this week. I mean, I don't blame you there. I can certainly see pumping the brakes on. He's not going to repeat last week's performance by any stretch.

[Jason Moore]

Well, it's just a. Yeah. Who would you start over?

But I am, I am certainly a believer in Mahomes and I think he's going to be in a 52 point over under. If the Steelers are able to go and score on the Chiefs, which they should be able to do. Yes, they will, then I think Mahomes will end up having fantasy value. But you are apparently the Mahomes whisper. You called your shot and played him last year.

[Jason Moore]

I think he'll be okay. But I think you're talking more about 252, which is great if that's better than what you're expecting from your other options. Start Patrick Mahomes, sure. But don't expect four touchdowns. Don't expect him to light them on fire when you go into an intimidating environment. A team that just had a tie with Cleveland, not a badge of honor for most teams. In the next three weeks, newly minted quarterback Josh Allen, behind center, will be much better than Nathan Peterman. In fact, he put one right on the belly of Calvin Benjamin in this past week.

No, he didn't. But I would prefer the ball thrown to my wide receiver in the end zone.

He is a hesitant stash. I mean, there are plenty of wide receivers that I would rather pick up. I would Rather have Ted Ginn right now than I would Kelvin Benjamin. But he is, you know, because of the change of quarterback. I mean, maybe you hold them another week. The problem with him is this opening schedule, you know, not just this coming week, but then even next week. It's like, when are. How long do you hold before you can play a guy who, when you play him, is pretty much a flex type of option? I mean, do you see what is his ceiling with Josh Allen, Andy, or my ceiling?

[Jason Moore]

He's a 15 target guy. He could have 15 targets with Josh Allen easily. This is a team that's going to get disintegrated weekly garbage time. Fifteen targets, a touchdown. I think that there is upside to Kelvin Benjamin. Now, you don't have to believe me. You can trash him, you can go trade him in for Brandon Marshall or something like that, but you're still the number one on a team with a guy that has, I think, top five NFL arm talent. He's the guy they're going to throw it to. You're not going to throw it to Jeremy Curley.

[Mike Wright]

Sure. The problem with Kelvin Benjamin, even with the optimism of the new quarterback, I agree completely with Jason. Okay, let's say you stash him for the Charger game and he shows a little bit. He gets you 50 yards, you go, oh, okay. Then he goes on the road to Minnesota and the road to Lambeau. You're not playing him in those contests. I am not. I'm not even considering playing him against Xavier Rhodes.

[Andy Holloway]

I might play him in Lambeau, but that's still weeks from now.

[Mike Wright]

So why I'm sitting my belief in the. In the Green Bay secondary. I think they're a very strong unit. And I just.

Kelvin Benjamin's bigger than all those guys.

Oh, yeah, this guy was drafted ahead of that guy. Irrelevant. The quicker you get that out of your system early in the season, the better it will be for you.

A lot of these decisions depend on your roster. If you need to start, like, if you needed to start, if you have to play with that position, then I would much rather have Brandon Marshall. But if I'm saying, okay, I've got. My starters are intact, who would I rather have on my bench as depth, Brandon Marshall or Cortland Sutton?

Then I would go Sutton. Because the ceiling over the next few weeks, if I don't need them to start right now, I still think it's higher.

He's always. All of these guys to me are in the cut zone where if there's a better matchup. If you think Tyrod Taylor going to New Orleans has a higher ceiling, then I'm. I'm always willing to cut a quarterback.

Quarterbacks, after week one, when they, when they give you a performance like Matthew Stafford did, that is one of the hardest things to get over. I'm thinking back to last year with Kirk Cousins and he came out and did this. I mean, he had a really bad week one, and then everything was perfectly fine for Kirk Cousins and he was a top six guy. But it's hard to go back in when a quarterback destroys your team like that.

Let's jump into the Thursday night preview. Man, we're already in week two.

And we'll get into the mailbag. Baltimore Ravens want to know. Don't know what we know about them. They played a really bad Bills team. Cincinnati Bengals Thursday night. Looking forward to this game. The game's in Cincinnati. It's a very interesting one. The line is one. It's a plus one to the Bengals, so they're not favored at home. And then 44 point over under. Look, divisional game. I would take the under in this one. I think it's going to be a dog fight. I know. Mike, you said you thought Joe Flacco might have a good week. Yeah. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't think on Thursday Night football, divisional games like this, I'm not buying into that. In fact, I don't really want to start anybody at all in Baltimore other than I think you can move forward with Alex Collins because Kenneth Dixon is out. So Collins is the only guy I like. Do you like anybody else, Jason?

Not. Not really from Baltimore, obviously. If you have Joe Mixon, you're going to continue to start him. He looks like a true workhorse. And then your AJ Greens, I pluralize that like there were others. But I think that's it, right?

He's always a touchdown possibility. So if you throw him in, it's look, you could do worse. Tight ends are all garbage right now. But yeah, there's. There's not going to be a lot of fantasy love here. This is the first Thursday night game where it's short preparation time and we've seen a lot of those games just be really ugly, really offensively lousy games. And then you're telling me that it's Andy Dalton, Joe Flacco on top of that with two pretty good defenses. I agree with Andy. I think it's going to be a low scoring affair that I don't really, I'm not looking forward to. Don't want to have a ton of players in this matchup.

Last week, each Ravens running back had a rushing touchdown. Each Ravens wide receiver had a receiving touchdown.

On a team that you can run the crap out of, you can run the ball against Buffalo, and they have a pretty decent secondary and the Ravens passing offense took care of business. I'm not, I'm not at the point where I'm ready to stream Joe Flacco and be all in, but I.

Ooh, that's a great question. So that falls Right in line with what we've said. The only way I'm moving James Conner right now is if I get a season long or what I perceive to be a season long starting running back. You, you jump out of the game of is Le'Veon Bell going to be back this week? Is he going to be back this week?

Yeah. It's still tough.

[Mike Wright]

It's really hard. James Conner is going to be an RB1 this week again.

[Andy Holloway]

Every week I think he'll be an RB1 just about every with his usage 100% of the running down Bell type of work. So even if his efficiency is nowhere near what Love Bells is, he's going to be an RB one almost week in, week out.

[Mike Wright]

So what you're doing here until Le'Veon Bell comes back.

[Andy Holloway]

Correct.

Which maybe that's next week.

Yeah. So you know, this is, this is. I'm trading the immediate future. I would do it getting a little bit worse for a long term proposition. So I would do it if I absolutely need that person to be a starter. You know, if James Conner is locked in and you don't really have a good option behind to, you know, if it's like you could take James Conner out and put in Tevin Coleman, that's your next player on your depth chart, then I would absolutely trade for Kenyon Drake, someone that's going to lock that position up for the entire year. But if you know a lot of people are going to have James Conner just because they scooped him up on waivers and maybe they've got good running backs and if they've got other good starters for the season, I'm going to just keep riding the hot points.

The average person views Josh Gordon about right. But there are, every league will have two or three people that view Josh Gordon as a wide receiver, one a top five potential and you're going to be able to trade that kind of value that I don't think he's ever going to get this season.
