Mike Wright
Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast coming to you from Draft.com Studios with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
Jason Moore
Ah, welcome in. Shows about to begin. It's time to win.
Andy Holloway
I just realized something, fellas.
Jason Moore
You're wearing a very bright T shirt.
Andy Holloway
No, I knew that when I picked it out this morning.
Jason Moore
Oh, okay.
Andy Holloway
You know, it's just you try and get loose before the show, get the blood pumping, get the brain going. So I'm doing some twists.
Jason Moore
Of course, of course.
Andy Holloway
And I realized what we are all missing. We. We sit a lot. Yeah, and you got to sit for the. For the show, for the recording. We need those electronic ab machines.
Mike Wright
Oh, heck, yeah.
Andy Holloway
Look, I. Scientifically, they are proven to work. I just have never gotten one.
Jason Moore
They're proven.
Mike Wright
Oh, okay. You got. You got me.
Andy Holloway
You're supposed to keep the joke going about how we need electronic ab machine.
Mike Wright
I was too excited. I mean, genuinely, if one of those stupid things that I could just wear can fix my body, I'm all in. Name your price. Take my money.
Jason Moore
You know how many people are around in the world today? 7 and a half billion people. And not one can figure out how to make sleeping my workout time. Oh, that's not one.
Mike Wright
Come on.
Jason Moore
I'm calling you out, scientists. You science tists.
Andy Holloway
I bet they could figure it out.
Jason Moore
I mean, give me a workout while I'm. While I'm dreaming. Well, I'm sleeping.
Andy Holloway
But it would not be good. It would not be good for your body since your body actually needs that period of rest.
Mike Wright
Oh, hold on, hold on. When you say it would not be good, you mean it would not be healthy. But I would look good.
Andy Holloway
Okay, fair point.
Mike Wright
Okay, so that's good. That's a win. That's like, oh, this guy got lucky catching that touchdown. But I won.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
So I want something that's a combination of the ab machine and then, like, it also just dynamically inserts vegetables into my stomach without me eating them or tasting them.
Mike Wright
That's just a vitamin drip. You get on an e when you go to bed.
Jason Moore
I want to be in a hospital is what I'm saying.
Mike Wright
Welcome to the fantasy football.
Jason Moore
Welcome to the fantasy footballers podcast. It's a busy day. That's why we started with those very important topics. It is Thursday. We've got starts of the week on the show, half the matchups, boom, boom, kicker. We're laying out the forecast for the upcoming Week 13 matchups.
Mike Wright
Starts of the week.
Jason Moore
Right, right. Yeah. Good to reiterate that. And you've got some great starts, I hear.
Mike Wright
I sure do.
Jason Moore
They're the talk about town. Here's a quick question for today's show. By the way, you can follow us on Twitter, heffballers, instagram.com fantasy footballers. We're on YouTube. We're everywhere. Quick question, this one comes in from Instagram. As the season comes to a close, what should I do to prepare for next season? So this is a big question, probably got a bunch of answers. But what do you guys think are some of the big things you could do to prepare for next year?
Mike Wright
Well, look, I know my tip. This is a tip that I gave myself a long time ago, that I gave other people before we were doing this show. It just, I hate saying it because it sounds so self serving, but the reality is this is the week where a lot of people are going to figure out they got in the playoffs or they just missed it. People listening right now are usually those that are still in that playoff hunt. There's a lot of you out there and if you happen to fall on the bad side of the dark side, the dark side of the playoffs this week, then you, you pack up shop sometimes. This is what I used to do back in the day a decade ago is as soon as I was out of the running, if I didn't make the playoffs that year, I would kind of pack up my fantasy football and I'd stop paying attention.
Jason Moore
Get a one way ticket back to normal life.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I mean I, you know, back then I would still listen to podcasts and I would stop and I would stop reading articles. I wouldn't care so much about watching the games. And it dawned on me after several years of this impacting me how much I missed going into the next year, starting the next season, I was always behind the eight ball of the teams that made the playoffs who were paying attention, the teams that kept listening, that knew the new guys. Look, there's going to be players that we haven't talked about so far this year that will be drafted next year based on what they do after today, this season, because the actual NFL season, which, all of it matters, not just the fantasy football season of the next three weeks goes for the next two and a half, three months. We're not that far in. So my biggest piece of advice, this is the time of year when you quit listening. I would highly recommend listen forever year round.
Andy Holloway
Well, we are a year round podcast and that's why we. You got to tell some jokes about ad machines sometime. You got to keep it lively.
Mike Wright
There are other pieces of, you know, helpful tips as well.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I mean, I think the big thing is the reason this show even exists. We wanted a year round show because there's stuff to talk about the even through the NFL playoffs, we got our awards. Then we're turning the page to draft. You're getting into so many different things that you can be ahead of the game on and it's just fun. We have a good time all year long.
Mike Wright
I know Mike and I have a book. We got a little notebook that.
Jason Moore
I thought you wrote a book together.
Mike Wright
No, you don't want to read the.
Jason Moore
Writings ABCs from Mike and Jason.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, not if our red deading last night had anything is in the book. We aren't good people.
Mike Wright
But the thing is we've got a little notebook each one of us where we make notes as the year goes on of things we don't want to forget next year. It's simple. It's kind of, you know, it's silly, but it's worth it because every year I look at that, you know, in draft season and I go, what was it that I wanted to remember last year? I never would have remembered it if I didn't jot it down. So maybe, maybe start a little fantasy football journal.
Jason Moore
That's the.
Mike Wright
Dear, dear diary, Dear diary, please remember that rookie wide receivers are more of a second half thing than a draft season thing.
Jason Moore
There you go. Some news to catch you up on before we get into the fantasy forecast. Mr. Bisky will not be starting this week. So it'll be Chase Daniel again. He was pretty good last week.
Andy Holloway
He had a very favorable matchup as well last week.
Mike Wright
As he does again.
Andy Holloway
As he does again.
Jason Moore
Well, let's put it this way. Let me give you guys place the Giants a decision to make. Yeah, I was actually looking at who does Washington play this week? Philly. Okay, you want Colt McCoy on Monday night Football in Philadelphia or do you want Chase Daniel at home against the Giants?
Mike Wright
I'm going to.
Andy Holloway
Chase Daniel is at New York.
Jason Moore
I'm sorry. In New York.
Mike Wright
I'm going to take Colt McCoy. I think he is the better quarterback. I think he's going to run the ball. I think Philadelphia's defense is completely destroyed by injury.
Jason Moore
So Chase Daniel outperformed Colt last week by a few points. I get it. It's a, it's a pretty tight mix there.
Andy Holloway
I'll probably go Eileen Chase Daniel.
Jason Moore
I'll go with Chase just because I think the Washington defense is. It's just better equipped to make it a lower scoring affair with Philadelphia. But it's close. Yeah, it's interesting. These guys you never thought we were Talking about Colt McCoy, Jeff Driscoll and Chase Daniel.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Fantasy football this time of year. Marquis Goodwin remains sidelined at Wednesday's practice. He's not looking great, but we'll keep you up to date on him and then we'll talk about some news as it relates to Guess Edwards. I tweeted about it this morning, but we'll do that as we get into the matchups.
Mike Wright
Fantasy forecast.
Jason Moore
All right, let's go ahead and start with the Ravens game. The Ravens are 6 and 5. They've won a couple games with Lamar Jackson at quarterback. They're taking on the 4 and 7 Falcons who can't get their running game going. This game's a 48 point over under. Falcons are one point home favorites in this game. And the big news that I wanted to bring up, Gus Edwards has an ankle injury and he did not practice. Alex Collins with the foot injury did not practice. Do you start looking towards Ty Montgomery as a surprise sneaky start this week as a flex guy?
Andy Holloway
Well, it's the Wednesday practice. If Thursday reports come out today and say the Gus bus is still getting a transmission, getting it tuned up, then I will start to be a slightly concerned. But a guy who's had over 40 carries the past two weeks giving him a Wednesday practice off. I think it's just part of the plan for the Ravens if he does.
Mike Wright
Miss the Thursday practice. Ty Montgomery in really his first week involved he was 40% of the offensive snaps. Ty Montgomery was out there. He got some valuable snaps. I mean if Gus is gone and Alex Collins is still dealing with the foot injury. Yeah, I mean I would take a look at Ty Montgomery, but I do agree with Mike. I want to today matters so much more. This could just be a day of rest.
Andy Holloway
And for Ty Montgomery, I mean Kenneth Dixon, if you recall, Kenneth Dixon's a running back on the Baltimore Ravens. It's been quite some time since we've actually seen him do anything of relevance. It sounds like they may bring him.
Jason Moore
Back if they activate him. That's, that's the signal for Gus.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
If Gus is fine, they won't activate Kenneth Dixon.
Mike Wright
Yeah, they believe Kenneth Dixon or Collins started practice.
Andy Holloway
Collins is actually really hurt. Then you might bring Dixon back.
Jason Moore
That's true. Look, John Brown, Michael Crabtree, these guys are not in the top 40 with Lamar Jackson at quarterback. Maybe he connects like he did last week with a goal line. You know, target for Michael Crabtree ended up with a touchdown. But it's really a crapshoot at this point. That's not. Lamar Jackson's strength is not going to be volume in the passing game and you're going to need more targets than what John Brown's getting. We agree on that.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. 150 passing yards his first game up to 178 against Oakland. So I mean he can, he can certainly get you Lamar. That is he can get you maybe close to 200 passing yards. But with that you need those incredible like Tony Romo level touchdowns where just he's super efficient. 200 dropping three touchdowns. But I don't think that's in the cards for Lamar Jackson yet.
Jason Moore
Now they are facing an offense that look at home. Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Mohammed Sanu. Do we, do we expect this game? 48 point over under is not, that's not out of control. What are we expecting from Falcons offensive pieces here? It's a tough Ravens defense but they are in Atlanta and they can surprise.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I mean Atlanta at home the first half of this year was a must start offense. You take every piece you can grab whether it was Ridley or Hooper, you know, obviously Julio. But the Falcons have, you know, they've struggled a lot over the last month playing both at home and on the road versus their expectation. Now they get Baltimore who has been just a really great D the last six weeks they've been a little bit worse. They've been giving up more points to the tight end, to the quarterback. But on the season their top five in fantasy points given up against quarterbacks, against running backs, against wide receivers. So it's not you know like I've got the decision in my, you know in I'm head to head against Mike in our dynasty league and I've got to decide between Matt Ryan against Baltimore or Carson Wentz who has just been struggled so frustrating setting and frustrating to.
Jason Moore
Me trying to like throw in words so that profanity doesn't come out.
Mike Wright
Yeah. So. So as of right now I am going. Carson wentz if that gives you an example of what we think of Matt Ryan against Baltimore for Austin Hooper, Falcons.
Andy Holloway
Tight end the Ravens, the highest percentage of their passing yards that they're giving up. It is to the tight end position. That's the only place really that the Ravens are allowing fantasy points these days. 19th against fantasy tight ends. Are you. Where's Hooper in your rankings? I'll put it that way.
Mike Wright
Hooper is in my top 12. He is a streamable, startable tight end this week. I mean, when you have that whole group of your Austin hoopers and Vance McDonald if he plays, and Trey Burton and Kyle Rudolph, they're all able to play. And I would probably start Austin Hooper over most of those guys.
Jason Moore
He's my number 10. Sanu or Ridley in this game I.
Mike Wright
Would go Ridley, but I would go neither.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I've been encouraged to see Matt Ryan target Ridley in the red zone lately. I would go Ridley as well.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, it's tough. I mean, he is coming off the monster game with 13 targets, but it was two 30 yard games before that with a big game mixed in there and then two, three games in the 30s and 40s.
Jason Moore
Would you go Sanu then? Because you might have to decide between one of these two guys.
Andy Holloway
That's a perfect ceiling floor play for me. I think Calvin Ridley can have the explosive game and not can. We've seen it. And Sanu is just safer. He's on the field more, he's running more routes. So the opportunity is greater for him to get you that 60 yards if that's what you need.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I feel like the floor is close enough and the ceiling I think.
Andy Holloway
You just go for.
Mike Wright
The ceiling is far enough apart that you should go. Ridley.
Jason Moore
Tevin Coleman, we talked about him yesterday. I believe he was one of your two pump the breaks.
Mike Wright
He is my pump the break. So light him up, put him in your lineup.
Andy Holloway
Have some faith.
Mike Wright
Lamar Miller's pump last week didn't work out, but I mean, look, the Ravens have been a tough matchup and Tevin Coleman has not been great. Again, I said he's a, he's just outside the top 24. So he is a startable, flexible running back this week, but he's not someone you're excited about.
Jason Moore
The 5 and 6 Broncos take on the 5 and 6 Bengals. Two teams going in opposite directions. The Bengals are five point home underdogs, which tells you everything you need to know about the direction they're heading. We know that Andy Dalton is out for the season. Jeff Driscoll will get the start for Cincinnati. A.J. green is questionable, although very good news. Towards the end of yesterday's show, he was going through the walkthrough and he says, he says that he's coming back this week. That obviously helps Driscoll, helps Mixon, it helps Boyd, it helps the offense in general.
Andy Holloway
I think our ratio though of players who swear they're coming back this weekend where I think we're a good over on them actually coming back. Yeah, I can't, I don't remember who.
Jason Moore
Gordon has pushed through the coaching staff before.
Andy Holloway
Right. But I'm saying the players who are actually talking saying, no, I'm going to play this. I mean it was just Drake1Smith last week and it would, I can't recall who it was right before that. Yeah, not that that's any scientific.
Jason Moore
We'll tell you research or anything we've got in or out on the show tomorrow. So we'll let you know what the practice reports and all the indications for AJ Green because obviously if you have AJ Green on your roster, you've been making it work without him and it could be a really important week for you. Now. He's got to take on a Broncos defense this week at home. Look, you're starting Joe Mixon. He's the only, you're starting, only auto start on that offense. Or is Tyler Boyd in the auto start category?
Andy Holloway
Well, Tyler Boyd, we've at least I've been talking about, I think he should be okay because he's the slot receiver for Driscoll, But Chris Harris Jr. Is essentially the somehow the best cornerback on the Denver Broncos. And I somehow because he's the slot cornerback. So the matchup is not super favorable for Boyd. I think you still play him though.
Mike Wright
Yeah. If A.J. green is out there, I think that is good for the offense, but I don't with Driscoll, I think that that could hurt Tyler Boyd. I don't think Driscoll is going to be throwing it as much. And Mike, you've brought up earlier in the week that while you start Joe Mixon and you look at the season long defense of the Broncos and you say, okay, they've been, you know, middle of the pack the last six weeks. They've just been dominant against running backs, stopping quality running backs on the Broncos.
Jason Moore
Side of the ball. I think we all agree Case Keenum is a really nice streamer this year. If when I look at my rankings, the one quarterback that has the biggest jump right now is Case Keenum on my rankings compared to some other people.
Mike Wright
He was almost My answer to your question of Colt McCoy or Chase Daniel? Daniel. My answer was should have been Case Keenum.
Jason Moore
The Bengals have allowed a quarterback one performance every week of the season except for one week to Ryan Tannehill. So if you play the Bengals D right now and the way that the Broncos are playing, they're just playing really well. Emanuel Sanders, Philip Lindsey and company. I got a note here from Kyle. He's one of the guys that does some research for. He's the editor in chief of our articles in the website and he has a note in here. He says tight ends for Denver and Cincinnati are going down like a 90s slasher movie. Because on the Denver side first it was Jake Butt, then Jeff Heirman both out for the season. Now Matt Lacoste is starting and actually interesting. And then Tyler Ifer, Tyler Croft both went down and CJ Usama is the starter for Cincinnati. Again interesting because I think Uzama has an opportunity in this game being a check down guy against the Broncos defense to do to give you a PPR floor at the position. But Philip Lindsay and auto start Emmanuel Sanders, great last week. What do you do with Cortland Sutton at this point? Jason, you have him down at 42 this week. He has not caught more than three passes in a game despite the height.
Andy Holloway
4 to 2 against the Bengals.
Mike Wright
No, I mean this, this is just the fact that he could end up dominating. I've said he's not a drop to me. He's still a guy that I'm wanting to hold on to. I love the schedule, I love the talent. But he hasn't been performing yet. That has been, you know, admitted clearly and openly. And they're on the road. I think they're going to be able to run the ball no problemo against the Bengals. So this is where it's like, do you want. When I look at Cortland Sutton, it's not just a matter of how is he doing, but it's those players that are around him in rankings. Would I rather start them? And Cortland Sutton is more of a hold than a play this week.
Jason Moore
He's a very high. I'm going to call it a Joe New. He has the potential to do a Joe New, which is a one play. Yes, 60 yard. All of a sudden you go from terrible week to great week and there are certain players that with their volume, it just takes one play to be wrong. And it takes one play to be right. I've got him down at 33. So okay, he may get a bump. We'll see Philip Lindsey.
Andy Holloway
Oh, yeah.
Jason Moore
I mean.
Andy Holloway
Oh, yeah.
Jason Moore
The Bengals defense.
Mike Wright
Yeah. We'll. We'll be talking about.
Jason Moore
Oh, of course we will.
Andy Holloway
And then the like kind of the last part of the game. CJ Uzama, he's gotten 27% of Driscoll's pass attempts. That has amounted to nothing for fantasy. Last week, 13 targets, 6 for 39.
Jason Moore
I mean. What do you mean? Of Driscoll's past attempts? In the one game, you know, just.
Andy Holloway
When Driscoll, he's come in a few times.
Jason Moore
If you gave me 6 for 39 compared to some of the other options and the risks that I have, I'm okay with in a PPR league.
Andy Holloway
Sure.
Jason Moore
Give me a break. I mean, that's what, 10 points?
Andy Holloway
Sure. The thing is five.
Mike Wright
Tight end.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
It's 13 targets is turned into only six for 39.
Mike Wright
This is why he was the third string.
Jason Moore
He had 13 targets. From Driscoll.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
This last week.
Jason Moore
Or was that from Dalton and Driscoll in the game?
Mike Wright
This was last. So game, game total.
Jason Moore
The whole game total.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Okay. I thought he's. We're gonna talk about him.
Andy Holloway
You're.
Jason Moore
Put it that way.
Andy Holloway
You're nuts, man.
Jason Moore
You call me whatever you want.
Andy Holloway
Nuts.
Jason Moore
All right, before we move on to the next matchup, I want to thank 23andMe for sponsoring today's show. With 23andMe's ancestry composition report, you can explore where your DNA is from. Jason Moore
The 101 Rams take on the 47 Lions. The Lions are 10 point home underdogs. The over under in this one is. That's a big over under, but that's a lot of Rams points is what that is.
Andy Holloway
I am very happy because I was, I was looking down as you're talking about the matchup and just in my peripheral I see your hand go up. For a moment I thought you were about to hit the almost upset button and I had a mini panic attack.
Jason Moore
I did my.
Andy Holloway
What are you doing?
Jason Moore
I did my cursory look over all the game lines again this morning and here's a hint. Our almost upset is not on today's show. It's on tomorrow. Okay, but you go through these games and I was mentally in my head, I'm going, nope, nope, nope. And then I got to the Rams at the Lions and I go, no. No way, no how. No. If you give me lions plus 30, I. I'm in. Oh, I might bet on that one. Now this is. Look, stranger things have happened, but the lines being 10 point home dogs, not surprising. And golf Gurley coming off the by. Brandon Cooks, Robert Woods, Josh Reynolds. You got to be excited about this offense. I think Josh Reynolds is the name that's worth bringing up as a. You know, do you want to play Josh Reynolds or do you want to play Cortland Sutton?
Mike Wright
I would play Josh Reynolds. I would play.
Andy Holloway
I would play Josh Reynolds.
Jason Moore
So I mean that, that says a lot about where The Rams offense is and what you can trust. I mean obviously Cooper cup leaving that offense and what Cooper cup was, it's a void. Now part of that's been filled by Gerald Everett. We saw Everett with a couple of touchdowns. But Reynolds has a role in the offense and I think I have Reynolds trying to figure out kind of where we have him compared to some other guys.
Andy Holloway
I have Reynolds at 28. So I have him just outside of a wide receiver too.
Jason Moore
So look your confidence in a guy like Alan Robinson with Chase Daniel at quarterback or do you go with Josh Reynolds over Allen Robinson?
Mike Wright
Yeah, I think that's, that's a great comp because if you need the upside, if you are needing a huge game, I do think you go Josh Reynolds. I, I don't see Chase Daniel bringing some massive fantasy output for Alan Robinson. If you need the safer play, you know Daniel did target Alan Robinson as the clear cut number one target and so Josh Reynolds could disappear. Could be not needed if they're up by a ton and they just girly all over the Lions as a verb. But the thing is is Josh Reynolds now, now that it's official end of season, this is where we wanted to see. Okay, he's the guy. Rest of season it's not like Cooper Cup's coming back in a week or two and you had 97 and a half percent of the snaps. That is an every play player on one of if not the best offense in the league. You soak those, you soak that volume up.
Jason Moore
Todd Gurley scored in every game this year except for week 11.
Andy Holloway
Oh, what a loser. I bet he's pretty disappointed.
Jason Moore
I bet his owners were. I mean you kind of, you've come to expect something from Gurley and if you don't get it now you are disappointed. But he had the ankle injuries, he had the week off. Brandon Cooks has 100 plus receiving yards in three consecutive games.
Andy Holloway
I love Cooks this week.
Jason Moore
He's got such a great football floor to me now that Cooper cup is removed from the offense and he also has the ceiling of the big play. So assuming he stays on the field, he stays healthy. Cooks is great.
Andy Holloway
Yep.
Jason Moore
On the other side of the ball, Matthew Stafford. Listen to this. Over the last nine weeks, Matthew Stafford is the quarterback. What? Maybe you can see the note but.
Mike Wright
I don't see it. I'm going to guess 22:19.
Andy Holloway
You were being generous.
Jason Moore
Yeah, you were. You're such a kind soul. However, the Rams have allowed a top five quarterback three weeks in a row. Aked Leap could be Back at corner for Los Angeles, they are on the road. Any hope for Matthew Stafford?
Andy Holloway
Nope.
Mike Wright
Yeah, not a, not a lot. I mean, I would start Kenny Golladay because I feel like he is the only legitimate pass catching option.
Andy Holloway
Oh, it's so smooth.
Jason Moore
Oh, hey, even with Aqib Talib potentially returning.
Mike Wright
Yeah, it's, it's similar to last week. You know, we had a slight disagreement. I had Kenny Golladay as my start of the week in a bad matchup and you go, well, it's tough and I don't think this is a good matchup for him. But if they are down and have to throw the ball a lot, he.
Jason Moore
Doesn'T throw it anywhere else.
Mike Wright
There's just, no, there's not enough other options. Like he should not throw the ball several times. I'm predicting I'm going to go out on a limb here. There's going to be several plays where he should not have thrown that ball to Kenny Golladay.
Jason Moore
Kenny Golladay.
Mike Wright
But he's going to.
Jason Moore
He's a must start this week. I think we're probably muddying the water too much on him. He's been great for three weeks in a row. There's this past week Marvin Jones went on injured reserve. There's probably more questions about like, okay, some of you picked up Bruce Ellington off the waiver wire. He's had six catches two weeks in a row.
Mike Wright
If his full ppr, you can play Bruce Ellington as a safe floor because of the six catches. What do you play, like 39 yards?
Jason Moore
Yeah, he doesn't catch. He's basically a, you know, he's playing right. Riddick out of the backfield or Bruce Ellington in a flex position. Who do you want?
Mike Wright
I would take Riddick.
Andy Holloway
I would take Riddick.
Mike Wright
Assuming now that's under the assumption that Carry On Johnson does not play. He was not practicing today, or I believe that was yesterday. We haven't seen today's report yet. It's not looking great and I wouldn't rush him back. So assuming carry on is out, Theo Riddick is actually pretty interesting to me for similar reasons to Kenny G. I mean, you just, you pretty much have two weapons here. Theo Riddick and Kenny G. Now the only two.
Andy Holloway
Touchdown Legarde Blunt.
Mike Wright
Man, he's worth bringing up. Yeah, we don't want to, but he had a great game. He looked good, he ran well.
Jason Moore
If it tells you anything about the current state of affairs for the Garrett Blunt, he had what, the best game of the season for sure. Yeah, he hit the waiver wire like in one of our leagues this week because of, you know, he's the Garrett Blunt. When he scores, you go, you know, the crop the clock hit struck 12, you know, it was just like a miracle.
Andy Holloway
The stop clock is right two times a day.
Jason Moore
That's the feeling.
Andy Holloway
Do you want legarre Blunt or Derek Henry?
Mike Wright
I think I would go Henry and I'm not happy about that. Sure. But I think I would go Henry. We've seen Henry with more juice than LeGarrett blunt.
Jason Moore
Let's go ahead and turn the page to the two and nine cardinals traveling to Green Bay to take on the four six and one packers. The packers are 14 point favorites at Lambeau, 44 and a half point over under. What are the big storylines?
Andy Holloway
Goodness. The storyline is the 14 point.
Jason Moore
What do you do with David Johnson?
Mike Wright
You play him, you start him and you are hoping that he gets a touchdown. Otherwise you'll be a little bit disappointed. But the volume is there, the talent is there, the offense is not. And so the nice thing is is he is game script proof to some degree in the sense that he's such a good pass catcher. It's, I mean, you, you, if you can bench David Johnson, then you're probably, you know, undefeated. You've got a great group of running backs.
Jason Moore
All right, Larry Fitzgerald, he isn't doing much.
Andy Holloway
No. The question though is the matchup where the Green Bay packers on the season are 30th against fantasy wide receivers in the last six weeks. Dead last or you could say 32nd best.
Mike Wright
So we're positive around here.
Andy Holloway
So there's an opportunity for the pass catchers and the game, the game script is going to be in favor of the wide receivers for Arizona at least having to play catch up According to this 14 point, 14 point favorites that the packers are. I don't think he's anything more than a wide receiver. 3 Play Though the volume has been if you have incredibly low for Larry.
Mike Wright
If Larry gets six targets, that's not enough with the type of targets he's getting and that's on the road. Larry's not been good on the road and six targets is the total targets he's received in the last two games combined. I cannot recommend anyone to start Larry Fitzgerald. Now he's had three touchdowns in the last two games, you know, on four receptions. But even then, I mean, last week he had a touchdown and you were disappointed because he had two receptions for 30 yards. So I can't recommend on the road even in a great matchup to play Larry Fitzgerald, I think you have to.
Jason Moore
Bench when you have as low of a floor as the Cardinals offense can have from quarter to quarter. Right. You really limit your options for Kirk, for Fitzgerald, for anybody. Green Bay is this the medicine, the salve for all that ails their offense getting to face Arizona up in Green Bay? Couple of you know, they haven't won a game on the road, but they've been great at home. We expect them to win. But where do you find the fantasy value? I mean Aaron Rodgers, he's a must start this week. Devonte Adams, always Aaron Jones, light him up.
Mike Wright
Aaron Jones is going to scorch the earth. I mean Arizona has not been great against the run. They've been slightly better since they're by but slightly. They're still bad and on the season they're the 30th best. The fact that they've been giving Aaron Jones more and more volume, more work. He's, he's at home. I mean obviously he's a must start in general in almost every matchup but this one specifically, he could, he could end up with 150 yards and two touchdowns all on the ground.
Jason Moore
Here's what we know this in this matchup, heavy favorites. It's probably not going to just be Devonte Adams that catches the football, right. But the confidence level of starting a Marquez Valdez scantling, equanimous St Brown, Jimmy Graham if you have to pick one other pass catcher. If I'm forcing you to pick another pass catcher in Green Bay, his name.
Andy Holloway
Is of those options I would any of them.
Jason Moore
I'm going to chase any option. Randall Cobb, you can throw them in there if you want to.
Andy Holloway
I'm going to chase the recent targets of eq.
Mike Wright
I think I'm going to stick with Valdez scantling just because I would go Jimmy Graham. Yeah, I don't, I mean this says the answer which is it's so unpredictable there and there's not a clear cut to that. I don't, I don't think I want that glory play. I don't want to, I don't want to call my shot.
Jason Moore
You want one of those famous three sided coins. That's what you need to decide. Figure that out. Science. The four six and one Browns take on the eight and three Texans. Texans playing well. Big performance against Tennessee. They're six point favorites. This is a 48 point over under. I don't think this is a great week for Baker Mayfield. That's why I pumped the brakes on him on the show yesterday. I don't think it's a top end week for Nick Chubb. There are difficulties when you go up against an offense that has the defensive front that the Texans have and the momentum that they're currently playing with. Where are the opportunities in Cleveland? And you know, if you had Nick Chubb, you've been banking on him. He's been a. He's been a leading rusher.
Mike Wright
But, well, how about this, because I. This just comes straight to mind based on the last matchup. You've got David Johnson, you've got Nick Chubb.
Andy Holloway
Nick Chubb, Andy.
Jason Moore
Yes, I've got them back to back in my rankings, I have Chubb one spot ahead.
Andy Holloway
Right now, I have. In my rankings, I actually have Chubb one spot behind David Johnson. But if I had to make that decision, I would take the guy who I think has the higher. The higher ceiling between those two, and that's to me, is Nick Chubb.
Mike Wright
This is one of those where, you know, it's so close it would be league scoring dependent. If you're in a PPR league, I would go David Johnson. If you're in a standard league, I would go Chubb.
Jason Moore
Antonio Callaway scored last week six receptions.
Andy Holloway
In the last two weeks.
Mike Wright
Nick Chubb, yes, but that's not usually his skill set. And David Johnson. I'm just saying David Johnson.
Andy Holloway
We don't know that, though.
Mike Wright
Okay, let me ask you this. Is Nick Chubb capable of being the receiver that David Johnson.
Andy Holloway
No.
Mike Wright
That.
Andy Holloway
No. No. He's certainly.
Mike Wright
Because I was only comparing him to David Johnson.
Jason Moore
All right. Callaway. Snap count last week, 59%. That's on par with what Jarvis Landry is doing. He's on the outside. He's. He's been better. Not been great. Any interest in a pass catcher?
Andy Holloway
No.
Jason Moore
Landry, Callaway, Higgins in Joku?
Andy Holloway
No. I. I would even consider. Oh, yeah, maybe David and Joku because of tight end. But even Landry. I don't want to play him in this matchup. If I can find a way, if I can find another player.
Jason Moore
The Browns are 27th in the league this season in fantasy points allowed to the running back position, giving up 26 fantasy points a game. Lamar Miller.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Jason Moore
You start him.
Andy Holloway
Yep.
Jason Moore
Do deshaun Watson. You've got to start desean Watson. At home. In this game against the Browns, Kiki QT did not practice or was limited. I'm sorry. In Wednesday's practice, Bill O'Brien says he's trending toward playing. But you run a risk now with Kiki QT with a hamstring injury.
Mike Wright
Was there a follow up question? There was for how long? Like he's trending towards playing in week 13 for how much of the game because that's. You can't start Kiki qt.
Jason Moore
But let's see how much of a lack of confidence you have in his hamstring. Are you looking at demarius Thomas after the two touchdown week?
Mike Wright
Yeah, demarius Thomas is a guy that I would be willing to start but he's definitely not a get him in your lineup type of guy. He's my 32nd ranked standard scoring wide receiver right now. So that's one of those flex options. Prefer not to start him. If Kiki is ruled out, he'll get a slight bump up from there.
Jason Moore
Desean wants and we're going to talk about him soon. He's our consensus QB10 on the week. But I really like him in this matchup.
Andy Holloway
I do too.
Jason Moore
And so we'll talk about him shortly because he's the start of the week. Oh, it's a secret. Oh, the six and five secret. Yeah, I just revealed it, didn't I?
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
The 6 and 5 Colts take on the 3 and 8 Jags. This is another game. When I looked at it and and I wanted to pick up almost upset and I just said no, no, the Colts are going to win the game. The Jags are four point home dogs. Did you guys hear Tom Coughlin defending all their off season moves said he would put the gloves on to defend all of his off season moves?
Mike Wright
No, I did not. I don't think they made.
Jason Moore
There's not.
Mike Wright
No. But I'm saying I don't think there's off season moves that I look at and go clearly bad decision. Like I what offseason moves are getting the most criticism? Is it just Bortles?
Jason Moore
No, I mean I think they made some changes on the defensive side but specifically you let Alan Robinson go, you let you know, you bring in Dante Moncrief on the one year deal. I don't know if you know, you hang on to Bortles. Right. With the fifth year option. I don't know.
Andy Holloway
I think Bortles is the biggest problem. Yes, but I think that's, that's the decision. That's the decision. I believe they are most defending. Were you looking at the Brooks take.
Jason Moore
Blake Bortles off the desk?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, he's on the bench but he's.
Jason Moore
He's got a snake man.
Mike Wright
Literally. We got a bench over there. We put him on the bench. Cody Kessler, he's got to earn his way back.
Jason Moore
I want you to know that Blake Bortles is the same Blake Bortles. Whether he starts or he's on the bench, he's the same man.
Mike Wright
Where is our Cody Kessler? Pop.
Jason Moore
Pop doll. Yeah. They don't make those, Jay.
Mike Wright
Really?
Jason Moore
No. And also Kessler is in that fun group with. Was it McCoy, Daniel and Driscoll?
Mike Wright
Correct. Those guys in the answer is Case Keenum.
Jason Moore
Cody Castler is going to get the start in this game for Jacksonville. I think you can start the Coles defense. It's not been good for Jacksonville on offense. Leonard Fournette is out with the suspension. How do you decide between Carlos Hyde and TJ Yelden? Every ranking that I see, it's far and away. TJ Yelden. That's what everybody has. That's what the consensus is out there. I don't know if the gap is that big, but that's what I'm seeing. So what do you make of that backfield situation? They obviously brought in Carlos Hyde. Do they want to see more from Carlos Hyde?
Mike Wright
Yeah, I think they do. I believe that when Leonard Fournette went down, down early in the season with the hamstring and they started losing games, look, Yelden was fine. He's good at his role as a pass catcher. But they said this guy can't do what we need to do as a team. And they went and they traded for Carlos Hyde. Carlos Hyde is the Leonard Fournette replacement. He's the backup. He's the Chris Ivory of last year that when Leonard Fournette's out, Carlos Hyde will be the primary ball carry. The only reason that I would go, maybe Yelden ends up with a better game is based on this specific matchup where Yelden. I expect to be the pass catching running back. And the Colts, that's where the Colts have been beaten. They've given up a large percentage of their targets to the running back position. So I'm close. I actually have Carlos Hyde ahead of Yelden in my rankings.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I do too. I would much prefer Carlos Hyde.
Jason Moore
The Colts have won five in a row. The Jags have lost seven in a row. Jags defense was so bad last week. They had zero fantasy points. Yeah. And they did play in Week 10. The Jags lost that game 26, 23. Ebron had three touchdowns in that game. Bortles was the starter at that point in time. Andrew Luck, three touchdown passes and three in eight straight games. You obviously start him.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Jason Moore
How do you feel about the current situation with Marlon Mac? Naim Hines, Jordan Wilkinson, Marlon Mack still in concussion protocol. Brooks, do you have any update? Is there any news on Marlon Mack?
Mike Wright
Nope. As of yesterday, he was still in the protocol. Yeah, the last that I've seen is that he's fully in. You know, sometimes you're in, you're in protocol, but you're progressing. I have not heard of a step of progression which leads me to believe that he might be out this week. And even if he's not out, if he, if he comes in, I am not wanting to start Marlon Mack because Frank Reich is a game plan scheming coach. And he said this before, and we saw it when Mack was coming back from injury earlier in the year, that if you're not there for practice against the team that you are planning for, then that hurts your ability to be involved. And so he would be limited. In my opinion, if he's back, he'll be more limited than his full go of the last several weeks. The only running back I'm really willing to look at here from the Colts is if Marlon Mack is gone. Naim Hines is a little bit interesting to me. We had Wilkins with a fumble last week and then it was all Naim Hines. In fact, look, Marla Mack went out last week. Hines ended up. He's the pass catching back. He ended up with nine carries.
Andy Holloway
Well, Jordan Wilkins ended up with zero.
Jason Moore
See, I kind of want to stay clear of all of them. You know, that's kind of the viewpoint because it's on the road. And Jacksonville, for all their problems on defense, they still only give up 15.7 fantasy points per game to the running back position. And if you have to split a timeshare up, split 20. Even if it's 20, you give them 20 points and you got to split that up. It's hard to predict exactly where that's going to go if Mack is active.
Andy Holloway
For the Jags wide receivers, this is, this is a rematch. Moncrief had himself a day. He had the 80 yard touchdown against the Colts the last time they played. But new quarterback, would you prefer Dante Moncrief or Dee Dee Westbrook?
Jason Moore
I don't.
Andy Holloway
I know you don't want to play.
Jason Moore
Okay, So I have to choose.
Mike Wright
You have to pick.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I'll take Dee Dee.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I would go Dee Dee. I would go Doo doo doo doo Doo Westbrook. Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Oh, come on.
Jason Moore
Can one of you make him a ceremonial start of the week so that Dudu Westbrook can come up if he fails?
Mike Wright
The problem is we like Dee Dee. Like I Like Dee Dee, as he.
Jason Moore
Was the opener of the show today.
Mike Wright
I like Dee Dee as a guy, so I don't want to. I don't want to poop on him. But his name is so close to Doo Doo. It's like, it's not our fault. It's your parents fault.
Jason Moore
It's your parents fault.
Mike Wright
Here's the one thing. So the Jaguars said they've been good against the run. They have been. They're the second most difficult matchup against the run on the year over the last six weeks. They're actually the hardest matchup, giving up the fewest fantasy points. But where they have struggled is where Andrew Luck likes to throw the ball. The tight end position. Would you be willing in this gross tight end landscape, with Jack Doyle out of the way.
Jason Moore
No.
Mike Wright
To throw out Gigantor in the lineup and say, hey, look, let's go. Ebron's dealing with a back issue. Mo Ali Cox, the tight end. The enormous mountain of a tight end for the Colts.
Jason Moore
Mo Ali Cox around the studio has become the equivalent of the fish story.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Jason Moore
Mike goes, you know, you go fishing and the fish gets like a foot bigger every time. The story.
Mike Wright
I once saw a titan this big.
Jason Moore
I mean, he's what, 6, 6, 2, 90.
Mike Wright
Oh, stop.
Andy Holloway
He's like 8, 3.
Mike Wright
Yeah, he's 8, 3, 3, 50.
Andy Holloway
I'm going to look up runs a 3, 9.
Jason Moore
I'm pretty sure he was out last week. He was out last week. Yes.
Andy Holloway
Because he's so big, we have to.
Jason Moore
Take every other week off. We need a Mo Ali Cox jersey on the wall.
Mike Wright
Christine.
Jason Moore
Auction needs to make that happen. You probably have to get. If you don't know about Mo Ali Cox, you probably got to get a basketball jersey because he was a basketball college superstar.
Andy Holloway
He's a beast. I'm only interested in 8, 3.
Mike Wright
He did sit out practice on Wednesday, so.
Jason Moore
No, I'm not. Yeah, I'm not looking his way in his giant bed. It. If it's him or, you know, Swoop Ed Dixon, no problem. No. Swoop would be the one to step in and could surprise with 18 touchdowns the way that Andrew Luck is playing.
Mike Wright
But isn't it Swope?
Andy Holloway
I don't know.
Mike Wright
And it's so stupid because his name.
Jason Moore
I think it is Eric Swope.
Andy Holloway
It's.
Jason Moore
I'm gonna figure this out.
Mike Wright
Like it is for sure. The problem is double O. My kids are, you know, they're in school, they're learning phonics. Double O is. Ooh. Okay, so you can't have double O and be O. That's just false.
Jason Moore
Swope. It's.
Andy Holloway
I know the hall of Fame. Hall of Fame quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. Jason. He played really, really long time in the 90s and 2000. What's his name?
Mike Wright
Brett Favreau.
Jason Moore
Thank you.
Mike Wright
Come on, it's clear as day.
Andy Holloway
I don't need your arguments about letters in the English language when he.
Mike Wright
We just.
Andy Holloway
We got to get to the bottom of this.
Mike Wright
When Swoop becomes a Hall of Famer.
Jason Moore
I think it's because we want to know. Swope. There it is. Yeah, Swoop.
Andy Holloway
There it is. Is pretty cool.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Yeah, Swoop. There it is.
Andy Holloway
But his name is. It's not his name.
Mike Wright
Yeah, it is.
Jason Moore
Now, what was the name that we were. What? Clement or Clement?
Mike Wright
Oh, that one was difficult. Wrong.
Andy Holloway
We have a difficult job to put the emphasis on.
Jason Moore
The hardest job on Earth.
Mike Wright
Clement.
Jason Moore
One more big score. All right. The four and seven build.
Andy Holloway
That's what Gigantor is all about.
Jason Moore
On the five and six Dolphins, if you need a backup to the upset of the week, it's this one. For me, the Dolphins like upsetting that.
Andy Holloway
You have to watch this.
Jason Moore
It's upsetting that they're playing. It's a 40 point over under. I don't know if that's figuring. They'll just play a half and then they'll just both leave the stadium. But the Buffalo Bills. Look, Josh Allen put up a huge fantasy week last week. Goes to Miami, takes on the Dolphins. Dolphins are, you know, they're trending. Trending downward. What is baby Josh doing? Brooks, someone's at the door. Oh, okay.
Mike Wright
Forgiven.
Jason Moore
Never mind. Then I just heard sounds. It sounded like he was tripping over something.
Mike Wright
Just run into the bathroom to throw up over this game.
Jason Moore
Yeah. LaShawn McCoy. What do you. What? Take the tip, Mike. You have him on a couple rosters. You lucky, lucky old soul.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, it's.
Jason Moore
How you feeling?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I mean, he's. Yeah, look, he's there.
Jason Moore
I'm pumped.
Andy Holloway
He's getting. He's getting that volume, sort of.
Jason Moore
Dolphins 28th against the running back position, 26 and a half a game.
Andy Holloway
They've been their 20th in the past six weeks. When you adjust for the schedule, so it's been a little bit better, but that's a very, very plus matchup. I'm going to play Shady McCoy.
Jason Moore
Jason. No comment on Shady.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I think you can play him. The volume and the matchups say that you can play him. He's talented. Obviously, the offense for the Bills is the issue. They haven't been able to score a lot. And overall, I mean that, that's my issue here is that while the Dolphins, you know, they've been bad against running backs, they've been bad against tight ends. When it comes to final game scores in the NFL, sometimes they have, you know, those close drug out games and you know, so that I'm not excited for any bill this week.
Jason Moore
Robert Foster, big week last week. He's had actually what, three, three fantasy relevant games out of the last four. Robert Foster is so unknown wide receiver for the Bills that. Oh, did you finally link him up? I thought maybe he didn't have a pro football reference page. Brooks. That's what I was getting into. But any interest in Robert Foster?
Andy Holloway
Minimal, Minimal.
Jason Moore
And then on the Dolphins side of the ball, Kenyan Drake, always. Kenyan Drake, always limited touches.
Andy Holloway
He's a very good play this week. The Bills defense, they're. They are, they're legitimately good except against running backs, especially if you watch the game against Leonard Fournette. To me it was. Fournette's success was not so much. The man of the talent was. You couldn't stop for it. It was. They just chose not to even try. He would just go right up the middle. They rolled out the Carp the red carpet and said, oh, Mr. Fournette, right this way. So Kenyon Drake is. This is a good match.
Mike Wright
They have a sign in the locker room. They go out, they always touch the sign. It says we're here to stop the pass. And that's. So they touch that on the way out and they know this is a run.
Andy Holloway
They absolutely do that.
Jason Moore
So I, I was glancing at Brooks's Dynasty roster because we're facing each other this week. You know how they, they give the breakdown, the projection breakdown.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
The difference in our matchup is right now it's 0.9 points.
Mike Wright
Ooh.
Jason Moore
I was checking to see if he was going with Kenyon Drake against me.
Andy Holloway
You're not playing Drake?
Jason Moore
He's considering it. Kenyon Drake or Josh Adams? Yeah, that's the break. That's the decision.
Mike Wright
Josh Adams, Drake. I think Drake.
Jason Moore
Neither. Neither, please.
Mike Wright
I think in that situation, Drake has a higher ceiling, but I think Adams has a decently high ceiling as well. The floor.
Andy Holloway
You don't. You're not bothered by the coach Peterson coming out and saying, nope, it's still a committee.
Jason Moore
It wasn't Peterson that said that.
Andy Holloway
Oh, it wasn't?
Jason Moore
Nope. No. It was the runnings back coach.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I apologize.
Jason Moore
Yeah, that was this morning. Also, Darren Sprouls is practicing this week.
Andy Holloway
But they said for Josh Adams it's still. It's still a committee. It's still hot hand. Josh Adams just happened to have the hottest hand. So hot season.
Jason Moore
So hot. Is Frank Gore a floor play? I mean, would you. 14.5 touches.
Andy Holloway
He's infinite. He's safe.
Mike Wright
Yeah. I mean I think when we talked earlier about like Naim Hines, Naim Heinz, people are more willing to start than Frank Gore, but Frank Gore is the much safer play. I think.
Jason Moore
By the way, we're going to jump into starts of the week. But an update for the Saints Cowboys game tonight which we previewed on yesterday's show. Tre'quan Smith is in removed from the injury report. Expect him to play tonight. Any reminder? No, no time. More important than right now as you head into the playoffs. Get your. It's the, it's the Thursday reminder we give you every week.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
But make sure you get your guys into their out of the flex position and into a position like running back or wide receiver if you know you need flexibility for the rest of the week. It just lets you make that decision. Let's go ahead and get in the starts.
Mike Wright
Starts of the week.
Jason Moore
All right. I'm going a little deeper this week. Love it. Starts of the week. Let's go ahead and start with the running back position because I think I'm going to surprise you. I'm actually going to highlight Carlos Hyde. He's my start of the week. Now here's all I mean by that. Carlos Hyde will get 15 carries. The rest is up to him. All right.
Andy Holloway
Wouldn't you say it's always up to him?
Jason Moore
No, most weeks I. It's 50% me, 50% them. But look, if that is interesting to you, if 15 carries from Carlos Hyde against the Colts is interesting to you, start him. The reason I'm bringing him up here is because I've seen so much Yelden talk. Seems like there's expectations with Yelden. Carlos Hyde is going to receive at least 15 carries.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. It will not shock me. Like Jason had said, the Fournette replacement is high. The volume that Fournette was receiving like earlier on in the season when it's just Fournette and Yelden, I think that's how the split is going to happen for Carlos Hyde and Yelden this week.
Jason Moore
All right, running back Jason, I am.
Mike Wright
Going with Philip Lindsay as the locked and loaded start of the week. Monster could be the number one running back of the week. You have a guy who hasn't had a bad game in months in Philip Lindsay.
Andy Holloway
And, yes, he's never had one. He just was kicked out of one.
Mike Wright
Right. He had a concussion in one and was gone. Otherwise, he has just been unstoppable. You watch film and you go, this guy. This guy is fast, he's elusive, he's, you know, near the top of the league in yards before contact, while the same team's other running backs are near the bottom of the league in yards before contact. That's not an offensive line thing. That's a Philip Lindsey thing. Now you tell me he gets the Bengals. You want to know what else? Has been months. It's been months since the Bengals have not given up a rushing touchdown.
Jason Moore
Let me. Let me break this down for you real quick to help you out, Jason. Not that we need it. New Orleans. The last three weeks, the Bengals have given up 57 and a half, 31, and 34 fantasy points to the running back position. A position that, what, Lindsey's going to get 70% of that?
Mike Wright
Yeah. I mean, it's one of those deals where this week I am getting. So I don't know if there's another player that I've had more questions about than Philip Lindsay or Philip Lindsay or it's. Take it away. It's Philip Lindsay. If you're not starting Philip Lindsay, then you are making a mistake.
Andy Holloway
What's not fair about Philip Lindsay, like you said about the yards before contact, is he is allowed to play with ninja smoke bumps.
Mike Wright
Right. It isn't fair. And also, it's not fair that he's reappears. He's so tiny, they can't see him. Yeah, they're like, where did they go? Did they hand the ball? Oh, he's always behind.
Jason Moore
Is there a difference between regular smoke bombs and the ninja ones?
Mike Wright
Yeah, regular smoke bombs explode and can hurt you.
Jason Moore
Oh, really?
Mike Wright
Ninja smoke bombs make you vanish?
Andy Holloway
Oh, yeah.
Jason Moore
What are the ones the magicians use? Are those regulars?
Mike Wright
No, they're magician smoke bombs.
Andy Holloway
That's a whole nother line of smoke bombs that we don't need to talk about right now.
Jason Moore
I see. I'm just not very familiar with that world, that market.
Andy Holloway
There's at least 52 different variations. Yes, It's a wild world.
Jason Moore
Darkwing Duck used those, too, didn't he? Yes. Cartoon smoke bomb.
Andy Holloway
These were projectiles, though.
Jason Moore
Oh, okay.
Mike Wright
One for every week.
Jason Moore
Batman has some, right?
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Bat bombs. Mike.
Mike Wright
My wife. Oh, I love bath bombs.
Jason Moore
Bath bombs.
Andy Holloway
When did that become a thing?
Jason Moore
Oh, it's a thing.
Andy Holloway
When did this become a thing? That. That.
Mike Wright
That you throw.
Andy Holloway
You have this thing you put in the bath and it turns the water color. That's great. That, like, that's fun. I get.
Jason Moore
Just put the money straight in the bathroom.
Andy Holloway
The problem is, dude, like, $3 a piece.
Jason Moore
It'll turn it green. That's what I was gonna say.
Mike Wright
No, no, no, no, no.
Andy Holloway
Am I.
Mike Wright
You're buying cheap ones. I took my daughter on Black Friday Christmas shopping. I took her out. So we're looking for mom, we're looking for gifts, and she finds this one. We're at this place called Lush.
Andy Holloway
Oh. Yep.
Mike Wright
And these are, like handmade. And she finds this one that's basically made to look like a fidget.
Andy Holloway
I'm surprised you can make a mortgage payment after visiting Lush.
Mike Wright
So this fidget spinner, we got one bath bomb. There's no price on it. There's no price near it. I go to the register.
Andy Holloway
It's market price.
Mike Wright
Yes. I go to the register. I'm checking out. And this is on Black Friday. So there's a line I'm not gonna like. And just getting this one simple bath bomb. It was 9.50. No, I am not joking.
Jason Moore
And did you get it?
Mike Wright
Yeah, I got it.
Jason Moore
We drove all the way to just for that.
Mike Wright
That was the only thing we bought that day. I was broke.
Jason Moore
Now, to get to be clear, you drop it right into a bathtub. Yes.
Andy Holloway
One time.
Jason Moore
You.
Mike Wright
One time. You.
Jason Moore
I'm just gonna start shoveling loose change and dollar bills into the bathtub.
Mike Wright
Here's the problem with bath bombs.
Jason Moore
Flush it right down.
Mike Wright
Bath bombs sound like something really cool, like you're gonna put it in the bath and it explodes and it just kind of fizzles off little. I want a bath bomb.
Jason Moore
Does it do anything?
Mike Wright
This will ruin your bathroom.
Jason Moore
Blows all the water right out. See that? That would be fun.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Bath torpedo. All right.
Andy Holloway
My running back, start of the week.
Jason Moore
I love it, Mike. I laugh at it and I love it.
Andy Holloway
Let's chase the points. Lamar Miller, he gets to take on the Browns. They are 26th against fantasy running backs the last six weeks. The Houston Texans are six point favorites at home. I know that O'Brien, he could give you the old. Well, I got arrest him, Alfred Blue. But I think that they're. They're going to keep pressing on with Lamar Miller, and he's in a very.
Jason Moore
Good spot now, just so you know, Mike, you were in the middle of talking about Lamar Miller. So you were concentrating in the middle of that. It was your camera that Brooks had on, and I threw my finger out and Pointed at Brooks to threaten him with Lamar Miller. Because you guys have named now two of my non Todd Gurley players as your starts of the week against Brooks this week. So my finger, it just went right through your head.
Andy Holloway
I was just reminded in the preseason when we make, you know, real silly analogies. I gave the analogy that Lamar Miller is the song Never Gonna Give youe Up by Rick Astley, which is frequently used to Rickroll people. Except that if the jokes on them because I really like that song.
Jason Moore
Right, you did make that comparison.
Andy Holloway
And Lamar Miller is. Lamar Miller has been actually pretty solid for Fantasy.
Jason Moore
It's just amazing to me because we, we all said this when we watched the game before the 97 yard run, it looked like a different player. Yeah, he was like he had his Wheaties.
Andy Holloway
He had serious juice that night.
Jason Moore
All right, so you've got Lamar Miller. Jason, you got Lindsay. I got Hyde. Let's go wide receivers. I'm actually going to.
Andy Holloway
Oh, double up.
Jason Moore
Go a little deeper to Chris Godwin. Adam Humphries, look, desean Jackson, I don't know the situation with his hand yet. If you guys have an update, let me know. He had been visiting a specialist, was limited in practice. Carolina's 21st against the wide receiver. Humphreys has been great and Godwin would be able to step in and soak up targets. The thing about Jameis Winston is you can just. You have to just put 300 yards down on a piece of paper. And that's where he starts. And that's where he starts. And you have to distribute those. And when you take away O.J. howard and if you do take away Desean Jackson, I think Godwin and Humphries are both solid plays.
Andy Holloway
So as of right now, desean Jackson was limited, but he was playing with a brace on his thumb at practice.
Jason Moore
Not great. Not great.
Andy Holloway
Not great. When your quarterback already overthrows you by three yards.
Jason Moore
Maybe it's a really long break and he throws it up there and it extends. That would work.
Andy Holloway
Might be a good play for school.
Mike Wright
My start of the week at wide receiver is a rookie who has coming on hot. He was the number one pick in this year's. The number one wide receiver picked in this year's NFL draft. It is my namesake, DJ Moore. That's also what they call me when I'm at weddings.
Andy Holloway
When you're on the ones and twos.
Mike Wright
When I'm on the ones and twos. I am.
Jason Moore
Here's one of his favorite.
Andy Holloway
Oh.
Mike Wright
Yeah, that's what I would play. But look, DJ Moore.
Andy Holloway
There Are no strangers to love.
Mike Wright
Dj Moore is. He's an excellent player. Over the last month he's been averaging well over 80% of snaps.
Jason Moore
You've ruined DJ Moore for me. All I'm in the picture is you.
Mike Wright
Behind the ones and twos.
Jason Moore
The ones.
Andy Holloway
Everyone get to the dance floor. DJ Moore.
Mike Wright
Yes. Well, so you know, you say ruined, I say have improved. But DJ Moore is a must start type of guy this week.
Andy Holloway
Must start.
Mike Wright
Well, look, Cam Newton has been electric, right? He's been great. Devin Funches is out of the way. DJ Moore, if you haven't been paying attention over the last two weeks, has 15 receptions, not targets. Seven receptions and eight receptions. 157 yards and 91 yards. A touchdown added on top of that. And now he gets to play Tampa Bay. I mean, yeah, that's almost started.
Jason Moore
If Funches returns though. Are you changing your mind?
Mike Wright
If Funches returns. He is. He goes from a must start to a good play that I am still probably going to start. Funches does not scare me away from starting Dj Moore. I'm going to stay in the connection that's happening between. I mean, the targets are there, the receptions are there, the yards are there, the talent is there, the quarterback is there, the offense, the matchup. Okay, I'm not scared of Devin Funches.
Andy Holloway
Speaking of Devin Funches going away, he's in the last year of his contract for Carolina.
Mike Wright
Oh.
Andy Holloway
Scrumptious is gonna be out of the way for DJ Moore next year. So this is one of those things. I probably should have brought it up. I apologize on the waiver show when we're talking about. No, it's the end of the year. DJ Moore is one of the guys who maybe you're gonna add him. If you're in a multi keeper league, DJ Moore should be on your bench just in case.
Jason Moore
All right, Mike. Wide receiver start of the week.
Andy Holloway
My wide receiver start of the week. I'm staying in the flames hot. Lockett. Oh, Tyler Lockett. We play with the NBA Jam rule and he's got three straight games of five receptions, at least 67 yards and his scored in two of those. Two of those three.
Mike Wright
It.
Andy Holloway
It's been a great, great breakout season for Tyler Lockett. As Doug Baldwin goes. George Clooney rescinding into the shadows of his boat as it plummets into the ocean. Tyler Lockett is a. He's a strong play. He's got a good matchup against San Francisco. I'm going to keep rolling him out.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I'm going to pop in Here with my quarterback start of the week because it's, it's the stack. Russell Wilson, how many times have we seen him be a second half quarterback?
Andy Holloway
Like every year. We didn't want to buy into it this year because it looked so terrible.
Mike Wright
But the point is he has been very good for fantasy since their bye week. All the way back in week seven, the first half of the year he was such a disappointment for where you drafted him. But lately in a six point per passing leagues, if you look at his finishes, 31, 25, 34, 24, 28 and his connection with Tyler Lockett's been strong against San Francisco at home. Yeah, they're going to be able to run the ball and they're going to score on the ground, but it's not going to be enough. They, Russell Wilson will be able to, you know, have a great game against San Francisco. I think there's very few guys I would feel more confident in over Russell Wilson. So he's my start this week.
Jason Moore
Mine is the Sean Watson. Now look, desean Watson, Russell Wilson, they throw for some of the least total, you know, pass attempts per game. But he's up to number 12 on the year. He was great last week and he's running again. That's what it comes down to. DeSean Watson at home in that matchup last week, 9 for 70 on the ground. I think he's going to Cleveland will give him enough of a fight where he's going to have to do some work. So I think desean Watson is a great start this week.
Andy Holloway
And I'm starting Jameis. This is that confidence boost because people see Carolina and they kind of get scared. And you pick Jameis up just recently off the waiver thinking, okay, should I keep rolling him out there? But Andy's right, he's a 300 yard guy minimum. And Carolina, they're actually sixth against fantasy quarterbacks on the season. They, they are a beatable matchup through the air. So I am still going to roll.
Jason Moore
Out Jameis tight end start of the week. I'm going to go Useama.
Mike Wright
All right.
Jason Moore
I know it's crazy business, but CJ Uzama, you mentioned the targets. That matters to me. And look, you're not starting him if you have George Kittle. You're not starting them if you have Cameron Braid or Greg Olson or Eric Ebron. But what I'm saying is, hey, Jimmy Graham or CJ Uzama play CJ Uzama. You CJ Uzama. I play over Joni Smith after the big Breakout. I play him over Benjamin Watson or Chris Herndon at the bottom of the barrel, you need a differentiator. The targets. The fact that he's going to have to be dealing with a defensive front that's going to be consistently pressuring Mr. Driscoll himself. Yuzama is going to have eight to 10 targets in this game. That's my expectation. Again, maybe it's three yards per target.
Andy Holloway
Don't disagree. The targets will be there and the rest is up to him.
Jason Moore
That's my new. That's my new refrain. Honestly though, Jen, I don't control these guys in a. Just throw them the ball.
Mike Wright
Yeah. In a PPR format, you can't always even find a tight end that you can go. Well, he'll get receptions but not yards. You know, it's been a while since we've had a Dennis Pitta out there as the PPR tight end machine and Cameron Brake could be that. I. I do worry a little bit about Cameron Braid's targets if A.J. green is back.
Andy Holloway
You know C.J.
Jason Moore
You really confused me there.
Mike Wright
Yes, C.J. usama speaking.
Jason Moore
Faj Green comes back.
Mike Wright
Cameron Braid's a real.
Jason Moore
Well, he's a miss.
Mike Wright
Look, Cameron Bray was on my mind because Cameron Bray is my start of the week at.
Jason Moore
But if AJ Green comes back, what happens to Brait?
Mike Wright
Huge bump. Huge bump up for braid. No, C.J. uzama's targets. I worry about if A.J. green comes back. But Cameron Brait. Look, we said pick him up last week when O.J. howard went down. First week out of the gates, he gets a touchdown. If you get a touchdown, you're a top six, top seven tight end guaranteed. Even if you don't have a lot of work. And he didn't. He only had three for 26 last week but he's going up now this week in a matchup against Carolina that is the 32nd best team at stopping Titans fantasy points. That is another way to say it. They are the worst. So the combination of Bright being a red zone threat, he still has even. Even though O.J. howard was there. He's got four touchdowns on the year. So far this Carolina Panthers team has given up a lot of touchdowns to the tight ends. I think Cameron Brake gets in, gets in the paint as they say.
Andy Holloway
As they being.
Mike Wright
You say.
Andy Holloway
You say the Titan position. We had a pretty hard fast rule.
Jason Moore
On this show once upon a time.
Andy Holloway
Once. Yeah, once upon a time a few seasons ago there was a rule, it was Rule 86 that stated if Jordan Reed is healthy, you play him in your fantasy team. That rule evaporated with the appearance of Alex Smith. Colt McCoy, though, he digs it. He is into that. We have 19.
Jason Moore
Here's an old rulebook.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, look, he's part of the old regime.
Jason Moore
Yep.
Andy Holloway
Cole McCoy. He remembers when Jordan Reed was a stud.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Over the past two weeks, with Colt McCoy as the starter, 19 targets 70 plus yards a game. The matchup is not the best for Jordan Reed, but I remember a time when Jordan Reed was matchup proof. And because of volume, Colt McCoy is giving him that volume. I think you can feel safe with Jordan Reed. Once again, to give you tight end.
Jason Moore
One numbers, you're looking for one last big score.
Andy Holloway
One last big score.
Mike Wright
Colts.
Jason Moore
You can do it. Yeah, that's. Let's do it. Let's get Rule 86 back enacted.
Mike Wright
If we. If we have Colt McCoy versus Jeff Driscoll.
Andy Holloway
Oh, no.
Mike Wright
Colt Driscoll. What? That's so close.
Jason Moore
All right, let's jump into the boom boom.
Mike Wright
Jason Moore's ironclad, locked and loaded. 100% guaranteed boom boom kicker of the week. Hopefully upon my boom booms, you haven't been reliant. But this week you'll dominate with Atlanta's Matt Bryan.
Andy Holloway
Brooks. This is current news, correct?
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Matt Bryant was held out of Wednesday's practice with his back. Jason. Did you even look at that?
Mike Wright
No. Foot clip. I have to say this. Every week.
Andy Holloway
These.
Mike Wright
These boom boom unbelievable kickers of the week. They are assigned based on rhyme right before the show. This is not a segment of.
Jason Moore
But we can lean on him.
Mike Wright
Oh, for sure. It's going to be locked and loaded. 100% guarantee.
Andy Holloway
I'm glad you brought it up because if you have Matt Bryant, you might be looking for another kicker this week.
Jason Moore
No, no, no, no, no. Let's make sure. Let's be clear about this. The news is not that alarmist. Right. Held out of practice with the back injury that happened to him last year, didn't it?
Mike Wright
Last week.
Andy Holloway
Just saying. He's an elder statesman. He's. You got him. You got to pay attention because sneaker news sneaks up on you.
Jason Moore
Sure.
Andy Holloway
No, that's like you get to Sunday morning, you haven't paid one ounce of attention because kickers of fantasy football is ridiculous.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
And then you go, holy crap, my kicker's inactive.
Mike Wright
He's ironclad, man.
Jason Moore
Locked and loaded.
Mike Wright
Yeah. He's 100% guaranteed.
Jason Moore
He's the boom boom the week. We need to stop. This is a longer one. You got like extra footballers, Mini Madonna.
Andy Holloway
Hey, if you're gonna play daily. Check out draft.comballers. see you tomorrow, Bookland. Goodbye.
Jason Moore
Goodbye.
