Grizz is filling in. I don't, I don't know if you guys watched football this past weekend. So we are literally risking our lives being around a full grown. A full grown cardboard extraordinaire grizzly bear when his team just pulled the double doink, as apparently is being now called. When Collinsworth said that it's outstanding.

Was it, was it Michaels? I thought it was Michaels who called it double doink.

I don't remember.

Makes a humongous throw to Alan Robinson who balled out by the way. In this game, Jerisky did everything he needed to do to win.

And I will say, not saying he's.

Perfect or anything, no.

But it was, it was awesome to see growth from the player that Jason had proclaimed will never Be anything remotely resembling a starting quarterback. But the. The timeout rule before field goals. Yeah.

You want to get this off your chest, huh?

It. I hate it so much. I'm all about icing the kicker, freeze him, make him think about what he's got to do. But this BS where you can wait until literally right before they snap the ball and then call it. I know there's people on both sides of the argument. Oh, well, you get to. You get the practice kick. Like Parky. He drilled the practice kick with no problem at all. I just think it's. It's bush league and there needs to be.

How do you change it? Do you make a rule exclusive to field goals then? Because on all other plays, you can call a timeout right up to the time the ball snapped.

[Andy Holloway]

I think that there needs to be just a ref. Similar to the way they. They stop a play from happening. You know, like until all the refs are set up.

[Eric Dickerson]

Right. Right.

[Andy Holloway]

You can't snap the ball yet. Even though everyone's ready to go, you cannot snap it. So the back judge or somebody just needs to have a hand up and.

Then put it down.

[Andy Holloway]

When you can't call a timeout, you can no longer call a timeout. This play is going to happen.

[Eric Dickerson]

I think that's a pretty good way to do it.

It's just.

It's a hokey rule. It doesn't gross, it doesn't work better one way or the other. Sometimes it works for you, sometimes it works against you. I'm with you. But at the end of the day, Nick Foles got it done.

The three of these are actually gnarly for wild card weekend.

Of the eight starting quarterbacks, Mitch Trubisky was the only one to top 300 passing yards with 303. There were 10 total passing touchdowns on wild card weekend, and nobody threw more than two.

And here's the big one.

No team scored more than 24 points. Props to the Dallas Cowboys.

For Dallas leading the way, the Dallas Cowboys. One, congratulations for winning a playoff game. Two, the highest scoring team of the weekend.

So let me ask you a question. Amazing, because we love offense as fans, right? Chiefs, Rams, Saints. This is exciting. And then there were these two teams, the Ravens and the Bears, that won with defense. And those teams went home on a weekend in which only 24 points was scored by the highest scoring team in which it was a defensive weekend. But the Colts defense showed up. Right. The Chargers defense showed up. The Eagles defense showed up.

[Andy Holloway]

Here's the problem. The old. It goes back to the old adage that defense travels. Right.

[Eric Dickerson]

Right. But apparently it doesn't.

Or the Ravens and the Bears, I mean, they were at home, so their defense was out.

Defense travels in the playoffs. I like that. The Colts, congratulations. Cowboys, Chargers and Eagles with the wild card weekend victories. Cody Parkey, as we said, with the double doink on the 43 yarder, the Bears, great season. 12 and 4, by the way, people. Bright future. If you are a Bears fan. You hear that, Jay? He doesn't care.

Trey Burton was a surprise add to the injury report on Saturday. Came out of nowhere. My groin. The groin. Groin will get you not, you know, whatever the opposite of Alan Robinson is. That's what Josh Adams was. One rush, two yards. They didn't really get the running game going. We'll see what happens next week. Only four offensive touches for Tariq Cohen. Yeah, that doesn't make a lot of sense.

That was absolutely bananas considering how ineffective Jordan Howard was and you knew going into the game. Fletcher Cox is back for the Philadelphia Eagles and since he had been back, they have been absolutely just wiping out and shutting down the run. How do you not get more touches for Tariq Cohen is. It was absolutely ridiculous. Hot Lockett had himself a monster game. And then a bit mild bit of news from that Cowboys game.

Alan Hearns, if you saw it, gnarly, rough injury.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, absolutely rough for Alan Hearns. He is expected to be ready by the return of football in August. So that's great news for the man Hearns. But that injury man, no, it's not good.

We need that instant fantasy reaction. Bruce Arians goes deep. Jameis Winston and Mike Evans.

It's great news for Chris Godwin. It look, you could paint 100 pictures of what James Winston's off season looks like. It's as good as it gets.

O.J. howard is the biggest question mark. Because he was ascending. I was ready to have him.

Hasn't Aries traditionally been a non tight end guy? Yes, and that's the problem.

That's the problem is will the offensive scheme overcome Jameis Winston's propensity to target the tight end position heavily? OJ Howard was on the direct precipice of a massive breakout this year before he went on to the ir.

[Eric Dickerson]

You would hope that Arians will not get in the way, but it is worth monitoring. Certainly it's exciting for James Winston's future, though. Arians is just. He's a vertical passing guy. He's not going. He's going to be a player's coach, which is what we said three or four episodes ago about Winston. You need somebody in his corner. You know, you need somebody in his corner. So ESPN's Chris Mortensen reporting that Antonio Brown.

I wasn't done with the Bucks.

Oh, you weren't?

Because I just had another thought.

That's just bringing that up. That, that Ronald Jones would certainly be a hot topic of conversation as we move in. What. What does the team do with Peyton Barber? Does Ronald Jones, second round pick, does he get the opportunity? But that is going to be a struggle for Ronald Jones. And pass protection. That's huge for Bruce Arians to get guys on the field.

Yeah. Yeah. This is big news too, because we weighed in on the last episode. Chris Mortensen thinks there's a high probability Antonio Brown is traded.

[Andy Holloway]

This is crazy.

[Eric Dickerson]

I think on the last show, you. You had the highest percentage chance that you thought he was going to be traded by reading the tea leaves, Mortensen saying this. Look, it's going to be a very interesting offseason now, I believe. Is it March 2nd when his guarantee hits?

[Andy Holloway]

No, no. He just gets a $2 million bonus.

[Eric Dickerson]

Right. But it's in their advantage. It's in their best interest to trade him before that could be. That's what. That's what I had read. Yeah.

It's all over the place. So. Because there's also the waiting until June 1st, so then they can start. They can split up the dead cap.

So I'm not exactly sure what they view as the best foot forward, but if they really, if they honestly think this team is so negatively impacted by Antonio Brown.

I do. I mean, his option for next year is $20 million. You cannot pay him 20 million.

Yeah, I understand, but I'm saying, do you. Do you make the switch to Nick Foles, which is. I don't think you should. But when a quarterback wins you back to back Super Bowls, and then you go to this other guy.

[Eric Dickerson]

I know, I know, but I Don't think that's going to be the dominating reality here. The odds are still long. They have to go into New Orleans next week and win. And then even if they do that, they got to go into what, Los Angeles, most likely Dallas. I mean, they're on the road a couple more games before they hit the Super Bowl. If I'm looking at this decision, I'm remembering back to last season. Carson Wentz, the darling of every fantasy football team.

[Andy Holloway]

He was an MVP candidate.

[Eric Dickerson]

Absolutely. He was the NFL MVP through the time in which he got hurt. And I remember going into the off season, and we brought this up. We put him in our ultimate draft kit as a regression because the numbers he was putting up was. They were unsustainable from an efficiency standpoint. When you factor that in, when you factor in the fact that the newest thing is always. It always seems like the best. I mean, even when you look at Patrick Mahomes, people need to realize over the last 14 years, we haven't had a quarterback repeat as the number one fantasy quarterback. Does Patrick Mahomes have the best odds of doing that? I don't know. Didn't Aaron Rodgers a few years ago?

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah.

[Eric Dickerson]

And that didn't happen. And so we cannot look at it with the most recent bias. We can. Which I think if you do that, you focus on Wince and his injuries and the fact he didn't have a prolific year, and you focus on Baker, the strong finish and the big numbers. I think organizationally the Eagles are a better organization, and I think age is close enough to where I will stay. I'm going to stay with Carson Wentz on this.

Carson just turned 26.

He did. And I'm going to stay with Carson Wentz here, man.

Here's where this one is extremely difficult because when I see this, I'm like, it's easy. Give me Jerick McKinnon because he's. I think he's far more secure heading into his role. Yes, he is coming off an ACL tear, but in 2017, 51 receptions hand picked to be the Kyle Shanahan guy. He just fits the system so well. But if Damian Williams turns into the guy for Kansas City, as Andy Reid has done for essentially his entire career, which is have one primary running back with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs offense Damian Williams will easily outscore Jerick McKinnon if he ends up as the leader of the timeshare. That's why it's.

[Eric Dickerson]

I think it can be difficult to paint that picture.

[Andy Holloway]

But there's no guarantee that Williams, as.

[Eric Dickerson]

Of right now, there's no guarantee he can. Even if he's given that job. There's no guarantee. Look, weeks 14 through 16 in limited time, he was the RB3. So that's what Mike's saying. When he is, yes, the guy. That offense is so good that it turns him into a monster. But I don't have confidence that they don't draft another player that, you know, they're not paying him well.

Sure. But Jericho McKinnon's got Matt Breida who just had an excellent season.

[Eric Dickerson]

I know it's a very difficult decision.

[Andy Holloway]

And Andy Reid, when they, when they talked about the extension for Damian Williams, it was to me the impact of the verbiage saying that Damian Williams has earned this contract of just really emphasizing how they gave him the shot at the one year deal. He worked his way up from special teams to getting some snaps in the backfield to now being a full time contributor.

[Eric Dickerson]

You've got to make a brutal decision here. Then let's say it's, it's on. You got to make it tomorrow.

[Andy Holloway]

Right. And I'm imagining it right now because I have Damian Williams.

[Eric Dickerson]

Yeah. If someone offered you Derek McKinnon, if.

Jerick McKinnon was sent to me for Damian Williams, I, I think I would probably. I feel like you're gambling because the role is not secure for Damian Williams. But sometimes, sometimes the dice come up.

I'll take Damian.

I'm going to take Damian Williams too. I don't like knowing it, knowing that it's a gamble and can blow up in my face.

It's a gamble both ways. Jerick McKinnon, we've yet to see him hold up. We've yet to see him give you a good yard per carry on the ground over the course of a long season. I think it's a gamble both directions. I would take Damian Williams in the offense.

Look, Hilton's been banged up. Hilton is not a PPR guy and I think in almost any situation right now I would go with Adam Thielen. I think that one's a little less close.

Even with the last thing we saw of Adam Thielen is him so badly wanting to punch Kirk Cousins directly in the face.

[Eric Dickerson]

Yes, Mike, yes. I love Ty Hilton, but I've seen a little bit of a, you know. And this is to Andrew Luck's credit but Andrew Luck is willing to diversify where he puts that ball. It can be four wide tight ends on any given week. They don't have a lot of other weapons outside of Hilton. But look who catches a touchdown in the, in the playoff game. Donchrell Inman on the other side. I've seen Cousins lock in on Adam Thielen. Adam Thielen 153 targets 113 receptions. He's better when it comes to scoring touchdowns than I think Ty Hilton is or ever has been. Hilton's never had a season over seven. Thielen had nine this past season. I'm going to go with Adam Thielen.

It's really tough. Adam Thielen after the nuclear hot eight game start where he had 100 yards in every single game the second half of the season. 39 receptions for 448 yards and three touchdowns.

[Eric Dickerson]

That's from week eight on.

So read those numbers again.

Look, it's close. Have you. Let me ask you a different question. All right. What's your waist size? No, not. Not really. Here's the real question. Who do you want on your team in the NFL? Is it the same answer?

[Andy Holloway]

Or do you. Do you go with somebody different? Robinson was hurt this year, so his finish. His finish was worse than what Landry's was.

[Andy Holloway]

I think Robinson makes a bigger impact on your team really, when you're getting good. Alan Robinson, which we've seen very, very small amounts of, we had his sophomore year was incredible. Bits and pieces of this game were also of this season were incredible. Meanwhile, Jarvis, his correlation when Baker was actually succeeding Jarvis was frequently doing nothing. He did have a couple games over 100 couple games with a touchdown during that second half of the season.

81 receptions off of the 112 he had in Miami. I mean, do you see him repeating 100 reception season again? You think that's in the cards?

[Andy Holloway]

I definitely think it's possible as Baker gets better and better and in the.

Ceiling, they give him more.

The ceiling of Baker Mayfield is a lot higher than Trubisky's.

To me, this or that. Jarvis Or Robinson Brooks a Rob.

Amari Cooper, 24 years of age, which is surprising. Brandon Cooks, 25. Both of them have played on multiple teams. Brandon Cooks this past year, 16 games played, 117 targets, 80 receptions, 1200 yards, and he basically touched.

He's technically 16 games played, but he had the game where he got knocked out right at the very beginning. So 15 games of production.

[Eric Dickerson]

Amari Cooper ended up 15 games, 107 for 75 and 1,007.

[Andy Holloway]

75. 107 targets.

Yeah. What did I say?

Look, the past four seasons, 129 targets, 117, 114, 117 catches, 84, 78, 65, 80.

[Andy Holloway]

Brandon Cooks is definitely the safer guy in this equation.

You're going to be happy. Even if Amari's end of season numbers are better than Brandon Cooks, which they have never been that. Let's remember that maybe. No, they really haven't. He had one year in Oakland where he was 11, 53 and five the last four seasons for Brandon Cooks. Nine, eight, seven, five touchdowns. And you know, when he had five, he had 1200 yards. So I don't think you can make it. So even if you're happier, even if you look at the end of the season and Cooks finished lower, I think you're just happier with Cooks on the course of the season or the way Amari Cooper drops those big boy games and then disappears. That's where I'd go.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. And I think Cooks is the safer guy. He's going to be more consistent for your team, but he's also not necessarily the number one. There will never be a number one on the Rams. That's just not how the offense works. That hasn't stopped him from being awesome this year for fantasy purposes. But Amari Cooper, you got. You got some glimpses of what that ceiling could be as the alpha guy.

[Eric Dickerson]

Isn't that what you try to talk me out of, though, Mike, when you. That's a narrative argument where it's like. That's why I avoided wide receiver twos.

[Andy Holloway]

In years past is because of the glimpse, the great glimpse of the number one.

This is dynasty. It's not just next season. And in a dynasty format, I'll take the younger, better red zone player with the quarterback that I believe in for a long period of time.

Robert woods was on many people's, you know, fantasy MVP list this year for what he did. 70 receptions, over a thousand yards, five touchdowns. Despite missing three games. Kenny Golladay had the breakout year. Right? Did I just give you Kenny Golladay's numbers?

You gave Kenny Galladay's numbers.

[Eric Dickerson]

That makes so much more sense.

I think they were masquerading as Robert Woods.

I was really confused. I was like, man, that's not as impressive. Woods was 86 for 12, 19 and 6.

Golladay was 70 for 10, 63 and 5 and missed the three games. So Galladay more prototypical wide receiver, one size 25 years old, 119 targets. Robert woods breakout season. A lot of people look, woods has been in the league for what will be, this will be a seventh season. Galladay at nearly the same age, only his third season coming up. Who would you rather have, I mean, better offense obviously in Los Angeles. Yeah, this is a very difficult one for me.

It is a very difficult one because this is, I mean this is almost identical to the Amari Cooper, Brandon Cooks dilemma where Kenny Golladay could take, he could take another step.

[Eric Dickerson]

Golladay is A and B, he could.

Be a 13008 to 10 touchdown guy.

Yeah, I was gonna say he's a, he's a double digit touchdown guy in the waiting. That's what I Think he's just too big. Too big. Too strong. Great body control.

Well, we're also rolling, as in it runs fab every day that waivers run. We don't do the combination. Yeah, we don't do a combination of fab on Wednesday and then the floodgates are open and it's a free for all after that. Yeah, once the fab runs, free agents are locked again and you can bid.

[Eric Dickerson]

On someone for tomorrow and you can make zero dollar bids.

[Andy Holloway]

Of course. Yeah, you have to be able to do the zero dollar bids. The only tough thing about this method which is superior in my opinion to everything else of free agency is sometimes Sunday sucks that you have to prepare and make a really tough decision because you have a questionable player in the afternoon and you know that you cannot add someone in the afternoon if you have to if something goes wrong.

[Eric Dickerson]

That's true.

But even with that, it's just part of the preparation. Everyone knows the rules.

[Eric Dickerson]

All right. Bill, in Duncan. Oh, I don't know where Duncan is. Donuts? Oh, we'll go with that. I'm in a league where several members want to eliminate the kicker position. The commission won't even allow a vote on it. Is this fair or not?

[Andy Holloway]

No, it's. To not even allow a vote is ridiculous. This is. It sounds like a communist.

[Eric Dickerson]

It's my league. It's mine, my league. I want three kickers.

[Andy Holloway]

There's a lot of people in the league. The league should go the way that the majority of players vote it to go. Or. Or if it needs a super majority. Yeah, whatever. That's the hard part is give people the option. There's no voting.

[Eric Dickerson]

I mean, we. There are things that I think we would require unanimous vote for in our league.

[Andy Holloway]

Sure. But we at least vote for it, correct?

[Eric Dickerson]

Yeah. What do we. We have a rule for what it's worth. I mean, we just share what we do in some of our leagues. But I believe that we've said you need three quarter vote, so you need eight of the 12 owners to agree. Now, we've taken votes on kickers being eliminated over the last couple years. We haven't hit that eight mark. I think we're going to hit it this year.

Probably going to hit it.

But the fact that if, if next year doesn't go well, they can just get rid of him. I actually. Is it better, is it better for Leonard Fournette's future that he actually gets cut from this team without a quarterback, ends up in some better position?

I don't know how that happens. I just don't know how that happens, how he ends up in a better position. He's been injury plagued throughout his NFL career. This is a team that wants to build around him. They couldn't even do it and it stinks because he was a dynasty stud.

[Andy Holloway]

Yes.

And he's been a player that has done what very few can do, which is, you know, carry the rock 20 plus times a game, score 10 plus touchdowns. Does he want it? Does he want that life, Leonard? Do you want that life, Leonard?

[Andy Holloway]
