Hey, this is Austin Eckler and you're listening to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast.
Mike Wright
Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore and Mike Wright.
Jason Moore
Welcome in Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the fantasy footballers. Happy to be with you on this fine day.
Austin Eckler
Good morning, good Evening, good afternoon.
Jason Moore
November 5th was actually the. I believe that's the day that Marty went back to 1955.
Mike Wright
Is it really?
Jason Moore
I think it was November 5, 1955.
Austin Eckler
I thought it was in October. No, Back to the Future day.
Jason Moore
Yeah, yeah, take a look, Take a look. Back to the future.
Mike Wright
I'm usually gonna side with Mike on these things.
Austin Eckler
Back to the future day is celebrated on October 21st.
Jason Moore
No, no, no, no, no, no. Not what day is it celebrated? I want to know the day that Marty.
Austin Eckler
Hold on. To commemorate the day. Martyr travel to the Future. Okay.
Jason Moore
On November 5, 1955, Dr. Emmett Brown invented the flux capacitor, making time travel possible.
Mike Wright
Well, on November 5, 2024, we had the NFL trade deadline.
Austin Eckler
We do. And we got moves are already happening.
Jason Moore
Big time moves, guys that, you know, people liked in college.
Austin Eckler
It's the NFL.
Jason Moore
What is the actual time today when that will be over with?
Mike Wright
4Pm Eastern.
Jason Moore
Thank you.
Mike Wright
You're welcome.
Jason Moore
So we've got a few hours left. We've got Monday Night Football to talk about difference makers on the show today news, including the trades thus far. And the waiver wire. And the waiver wire. So. Oh, and full stream ahead.
Austin Eckler
It's a big show.
Jason Moore
So much to talk about, Mr. Moore.
Mike Wright
Yeah, it's going to be great. We also Have.
Jason Moore
Can I just.
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah.
Jason Moore
Do you mind sharing why you were late today?
Mike Wright
No, I don't. I don't mind. I mean, nobody knew I was late today until you just announced it.
Jason Moore
Well, we had the benefit on Sunday that the time switch happened and Arizona doesn't have.
Austin Eckler
Arizona does that, right?
Jason Moore
Yeah, I mean, it's just about that. We don't have daylight savings time. And so for all of you know, the East Coasters, like, we're an hour earlier than we used to be, or in this case, 50 minutes earlier. Because Jason Moore bought a shed for his house in the most unusual way. Well, some people buy. Here's some of the ways you buy sheds. You pay a company to come and build the shed on your property. You can go purchase a shed kit and build it yourself. I'm not gonna do that on your own property. Or.
Mike Wright
Or you can have a shed flown in by a crane.
Jason Moore
So Jason. Jason sends a picture, says he's coming in hot today. It's a picture of a crane and you've got. I mean, you. Were you there for the whole delivery?
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah.
Jason Moore
There was a house.
Mike Wright
It was. It was crazy. It was full wizard of Oz. I mean, I'm seeing this thing and it's like Dorothy's house just spinning, just.
Jason Moore
Did your kids go on a ride in it?
Mike Wright
No. Danger. Danger.
Jason Moore
They don't let you do that.
Mike Wright
No, but it was. It was wild. Yeah. We needed a shed quickly. This was a pre built shed and then it was too big for our gate.
Austin Eckler
It's because it's a two bedroom, full bath. Right.
Mike Wright
Double decker, two story, you know. You know, it's shed.
Jason Moore
Some people call it a house.
Mike Wright
And so they had to bring a crane to get it over the wall, which is just. It's great. Like watching it happen, I was like, human beings can do the craziest stuff. I like. I'm literally watching this very large piece of furniture, a little tiny house, just fly through the air on a crane. That is.
Jason Moore
And it worked out.
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah. It's perfectly.
Jason Moore
So you got it. You got a fully built.
Mike Wright
We've got a shed now today.
Austin Eckler
Is there a witch underneath it?
Mike Wright
I hope so. I should put some legs out. Well, yeah.
Jason Moore
There you go. Congratulations.
Mike Wright
It was. Thank you for the congratulations. It did get my mind off of last night's Monday night football game, which was important for me.
Jason Moore
Well, I mean, we could tell Jason stories all day because we got pictures of Jason last night trying to deal with like you needed. You going into the night. You needed a miracle.
Mike Wright
Yes. I know I needed a miracle.
Jason Moore
Jason was down five points with the Kansas City D and I had Kate Awesome. Kate awesome.
Mike Wright
Kate Awesome. I knew I was going to lose.
Jason Moore
Who was continually awesome. Eight for 77 and a touchdown.
Mike Wright
But watching it happen, did you end.
Jason Moore
Up sticking with it?
Mike Wright
Yeah, of course. It's my job. I watched, but I wouldn't have watched. It wasn't my job.
Jason Moore
Of course, my butt.
Austin Eckler
I mean I did.
Mike Wright
I might have gone out to the, you know, to chill out outside, but I watched it on my phone.
Jason Moore
So what were your takeaways from the game? The Chiefs managed to win yet again. 14 receptions on 16 targets for Travis Kelsey.
Austin Eckler
Yep.
Mike Wright
The.
Austin Eckler
I mean the big takeaway, well, like Kate Otten I think is one of like this, this version of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kate Otton is going to be so unbelievably useful for fantasy football. The other one is just what do we make of DeAndre Hopkins? Eight for 86, two touchdowns. You know, like it was basically a goal line slants. If I remembering it correct, a true circus catch into, you know, heavy coverage that fell right into Hopkins hands and he was like, I feel like we've seen that a few times over the past but they haven't had a player who could actually bring that in and Hopkins can. So it's. Do you. Are you upgrading Hopkins after that performance? Are you sticking with.
Mike Wright
I'm 100% upgrading. I think he is legit a weekly must start player going forward. And the reason why is because we saw this with Rushy Rice. Rushy Rice was in the role that is the primary wide receiver target. And Patrick Mahomes can find a way to get, you know, you get a little bit of space. He can get you the ball. When you've got great hands like Hopkins, he's going to catch the ball. That triple coverage deep down the field throw is just. DeAndre Hopkins has DeAndre Hopkins hands. He's great. And then you saw when Rushy Rice unfortunately got injured, they brought back JuJu Smith Schuster and he was eight targets seven for 130 and was a wide receiver one for that week. And then he got injured. Now they've got Hopkins, they need him. And so I do think he's going to be the primary wide receiver option here and that's, that's an important role.
Jason Moore
I got a lot of flack for my initial thought that he'd be like around wide receiver 16 with Patrick Mahomes coming over. Obviously they have to get a more acclimated. The beginnings of that were last night this came down to also what you fundamentally believed Xavier Worthy was capable of, which I don't think he's a very well rounded wide receiver at this juncture of his career. He is good on a gadget play. Again, McColl Hardman is so much worse than almost every player in the National Football League. But regularly utilized with Kansas City, they play to a player's strengths. Worthy had a couple of opportunities last night.
Austin Eckler
He should have had a humongous touchdown.
Jason Moore
But that's exactly the point. Yeah, that is literally why I didn't believe in Xavier Worthy is because his should haves won't be good enough. Which is why they went and got DeAndre Hopkins.
Mike Wright
That play was one where it really showed me the difference between, you know, really, really, really good wide receivers and the great wide receivers and your Jags who I realize that Xavier Worthy has.
Austin Eckler
Still new to the NFL.
Mike Wright
Yes, he's new to the NFL and he still has elite, you know, world class speed. Literally the fastest 40 time ever. But there was no reason, there was no reason the defender did not cause the ball did not cause. There was no reason for him to go down the sideline and run out of bounds before he caught it and not know where the boundary is other than it just, you know, is a mental mistake.
Jason Moore
We're nine weeks in, right? They haven't had their bye week. 19 for 235 is the total in nine weeks for Xavier Worthy.
Austin Eckler
They have had their bye week Kansas City. Yeah, they had it in week six.
Jason Moore
Okay, so 19 for 235 in eight games for Xavier Worthy. When you look at the combo of receivers there, 39 targets for Worthy, 32 targets for Adonai Mitchell, the teammates. Worthy has 235 yards. Mitchell 140.
Austin Eckler
And then what do you do with Patrick Mahomes? Hey, we had a Q4 on the week is what I'm seeing in a half point, four point quarterback scoring format. Threw the ball 44 times. That was the first time throwing the ball over 40 times this year. 293 touchdowns. Hopkins looks like he still has some juice. I mean is this.
Jason Moore
And Kelsey was great. And this is, this is a Baker thing. Yeah, Baker and the offense for Tampa Bay on the road going out there and delivering offensive effectiveness.
Mike Wright
They looked so good. I mean the fact that you have lost Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. Baker is like, he obviously is not going to be in the MVP running.
Austin Eckler
Yeah, you can't. They're foreign.
Mike Wright
That award goes to, you know, what team is the best, whose quarterback is that. But he is absolutely worthy of being the most valuable player in the NFL. He is playing outstanding football. Piecing it together, they, you could argue they maybe should have won this game. I mean, they forced overtime. I think the majority of our age, people wanted them to go for two when they. When they got down there at the end of the game. And then they did stop them to force overtime. So if they had gone for two and got it, that's game over.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
I mean, I don't blame them either way. I don't care about that call. My point is they took Kansas City to the limit with injuries. And I agree with you. Mahomes was great because Baker made him have to be great. They played a good portion of this game from behind. It kind of went back and forth. So I'm just really impressed by Tampa Bay.
Jason Moore
Even in the loss, 23 touchdowns leads the NFL for Baker Mayfield. He's playing great. He's playing as well as I've ever seen him play. And so you know that we're going to get into some things about that offense. Kate Otten. Right now, when you look at that, I'm going to read you a name.
Austin Eckler
Okay.
Jason Moore
You tell me whether you'd rather have them rest of season over Kate Otten.
Austin Eckler
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Kittle.
Austin Eckler
No. Kittle.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Okay. Right. Bowers.
Mike Wright
Bowers.
Jason Moore
Okay. McBride.
Mike Wright
I would take McBride.
Austin Eckler
I would, too.
Jason Moore
That's it.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
I mean, Kelsey, Kelsey.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Austin Eckler
I mean, yeah, I'm still going to take Kelsey. The rest of season is hard of. Like, when is Mike Evans back?
Jason Moore
And right now Kate Otten is sitting as the tight end, four in points per game, but behind the three names that you guys said you'd take ahead.
Austin Eckler
I think tight end, four or five.
Jason Moore
So, I mean, it's just.
Mike Wright
He's in that next category with Evan Ingram and a Joku, where, you know, they have the team around them has caused them to be so important to their role. And Kate Auton has really balled out. He's looked great. He's in sync with Baker. And if you have to look at those three, Evan Ingram, David Najoku and Kate Otten, it's hard to not just go recency bias to take Kate on because he's the best. But I think I do, you know, I'm getting it done.
Austin Eckler
It's not just like he is rising to the occasion. Like, we see plenty of guys, we're like, oh, here's the opportunity. And then they just fall in their face because they can't.
Jason Moore
And they're running the offense through him. I mean, you look at a seven game sample for a Kate Otten. So the first two weeks not involved, last seven games on pace for 141 targets, 105 receptions over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Austin Eckler
And it Baker.
Mike Wright
That's what I was going to say. You want Baker or Trevor Lawrence or Jamis Winston?
Austin Eckler
That's easy right now.
Jason Moore
All right, let's go ahead and turn the page here from the Monday Night Football game. It's a little bit of a shame that the Buccaneers couldn't get it done just for their season and what they're playing for and the trajectory. They've had some close games this year and they're definitely missing those whiteouts, but impressive performance by Baker.
Mike Wright
Welcome to Difference Makers, presented by Imes Pet Food.
Austin Eckler
On today's Difference Makers, we're keeping it simple because, look, it's time to take out some insurance policies. I've seen way too many teams out there riding dirty at this point of the season. Look, at the beginning of the season, we talk about, it's pretty rare that we draft these insurance running backs this year. It was like, okay, I'll take like Blake Corum because I know. And then it turned into Jordan Mason once the news all eventually fell out. But you just, you can't be 100% sure who the backup will be. You can't be sure that if they get the opportunity, they will be able to handle the situation. But we're at the point now you have to have the insurance running backs, like I picked up Ray Davis this weekend. Like, if you have James Cook and you're riding without Ray Davis, I think that's insane at this point, which is.
Jason Moore
Crazy that you were able to pick him up.
Austin Eckler
But it's just like. And not. I'm not talking about the production of Ray Davis this weekend. I'm talking about Ray Davis has shown the Buffalo Bills multiple times that if James Cook goes down, Ray Davis is going to be great. So we just want to remind people of this. This is the time that you need to be picking these guys up. And if there is a tiebreaker where you're looking for, well, you know, who do I ensure besides my own backups? It's looking at the strength of schedule. Braylon Allen, this one is. We've talked about this just over and over. The jets, the running back schedule for them is so great. It's great for Breeze hall, but it's. You need to have Braylon Allen on a team because if Breeze hall misses time, Braylon Allen will go right into the role and he will succeed immediately.
Mike Wright
They do not have a single difficult matchup the rest of the season for running backs like they don't have. It's not like, oh, they've got a good three week stretch or their playoff stretch is good. Everything's good. It is completely phenomenal from here till the end of the season and then the playoffs are even better than the next few weeks. But there's no tough matchup. So if Breeze goes down, Braylon Allen will be a league. He'll be a true difference maker.
Austin Eckler
And then like Blake Corum is right in there. The schedule is quite good for the Rams. They do have a Week 12 matchup against Philly and then 16 is against the jets, which is actually it's pretty close to a neutral matchup for running backs at this point. But the way that Kyren is being used, Blake Corum needs to be on roster. If I have Kyren, it's Blake Corum is a priority AD this week especially. You're going to hear us go through the names. There's not a ton of plug and play options right now who aren't heavily rostered. So you got to prioritize those backups. And then I wanted to have the conversation about the Arizona Cardinals because James Conner is. James Conner is the motor of this offense. But would you take the shot on this is where insurance can be a little bit difficult. Would you go with Trey Benson or would you go with DeMarcato?
Jason Moore
I made this decision. I mean I had the choice of them to.
Austin Eckler
And you have Connor.
Jason Moore
I have Connor and I'm certainly on the Trey Benson side of this equation. Equation.
Austin Eckler
Okay.
Jason Moore
And I was really impressed with Trey Benson in this last week's game because he got some more opportunities. He had some nice runs and he scored. D Markado will be the change of pace to Benson, but I want the goal line opportunities. When this team moves the football inside the 10, those are going to go to Trey Benson, I believe. And so that's the side that I lean on. I'm looking, you know, to DeMarcusato is a better week to week random shot right now in a committee. But Benson would be the takeover guy.
Mike Wright
To me I agree. I think Amari Dimarcato, he has a role and I think his role doesn't change. If Connor goes down, he stays in that role that he has been on the field for and then Trey Benson kind of moves into that Connor role.
Austin Eckler
But rest of season for running backs, the jets the third best schedule. The Cardinals are fourth. The Falcons are fifth and the Rams are sixth.
Jason Moore
Well, yeah. What do you do if you need to trade for one like Tyler Algiers probably on a roster. Braylon Allen might be on a roster. If you have Breeze hall and you have Bijon, are you going out and making the, you know, maybe it's a pick trade, maybe it's a swap of bench players, but you're going out to actively pursue that.
Austin Eckler
I personally, I mean, I'm not trading a starter from my lineup to go get the backup, but I'm going to try and trade some bench guys and help that other team get better and take on the guy that's only good should my running back miss time.
Mike Wright
Let me throw two names out here. These are guys that have been kind of waiver wire or at least bench players who kind of now they're going to be talked about like, oh, you know, we should, we should be starting them. Would you trade? If you are, let's say you're the Breeze hall manager. Braylon Allen's across the pond and you can trade either Quentin Johnston or Jacoby Myers. Those are, those are players that can.
Austin Eckler
Yes, they can start. I would personally do that.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Jason Moore
Yeah. You are locking down a top five or six running back schedule in a starting spot when you have the insurance for those particular guys. That's part of the equation here. It's not just, you know, no matter who you have, you go get them. It's also locking down. I have a starter against.
Austin Eckler
Yes.
Jason Moore
A great. With a great schedule.
Austin Eckler
It's. We're at the time of the. In your league, like, you know, there are two or three teams of the league.
Mike Wright
These.
Austin Eckler
You're definitely going to the playoffs. You should be looking at that right now. I'm not saying shift your entire thing. We have a playoff primer next week to talk about guys that we want to add for those particular schedules. But it's the future proofing of your team. You need to start doing it now.
Jason Moore
All right. That was Difference makers presented by IMES Pet Food. When you choose imes, you can see the difference in your pet with your own eyes. Healthy energy in five days, healthy digestion in 10 days and healthy skin and coat in just 25 days. Feed IAMs and see a visible difference.
Mike Wright
News and notes from around the league presented by USAA Insurance.
Jason Moore
The Cowboys. Dak Prescott is expected to miss several weeks with his hamstring strain. Got an mri. Now expected to be placed on injured reserve. Cooper Rush presumably taking over at quarterback. But don't worry. CD Lamb also dealing with a week to week AC joint sprain, expected to have a chance to play. But don't worry, they found their solution.
Mike Wright
They sure did. I mean, this was even teased, you know, Jerry was coming out saying, like, don't worry, we are trading for a wide receiver that we really like. And they went and paid up for Jonathan Mingo.
Austin Eckler
They did.
Mike Wright
I know the contract's not the same, but they paid more to get Jonathan Mingo than they received for Amari Cooper.
Austin Eckler
That is factual information. And I am not excited by this move. I am not endorsing Jonathan Mingo. But I do think that some franchises just have no idea what they're doing. Maybe. Maybe the Carolina Panthers drafted a good player, perhaps, and the coaching staff and everything around there just ruined Jonathan Mingus. So I'm saying I'm not just throwing terrace. Marshall believes I'm not just throwing this information into the garbage and just completely writing off Jonathan Mingo. I'm going to leave a small window open to say maybe, maybe a change of scenery can fix things for him.
Jason Moore
The complication here is that he is currently just a guy in an offense where you have a bunch of other. Just the guys outside of CD Lamb, Turpin, Tolbert, you know, these are. This is who you're throwing the football to, hasn't been part of the offense, doesn't have his quarterback. And for fantasy purposes, this means nothing. Like when Jerry Jones was teasing this move. I'm like, ooh, maybe it'll be something that helps Fantasy. This doesn't help Dak. You know, this doesn't help. I mean, he's not playing, so this doesn't help your fantasy situation at all. It just, you know, it's bewildering to me to make a move. Losing a fourth rounder in the situation you're in, I guess I'm happy they think they can still win. That matters to me. I want CD Lamb. I don't know what kind of contract incentives he has. I hope he has some so he can go out there and play or wants to, you know, keep his stat line rocking. Because he can still be productive with Cooper Rush, because who else are you going to throw the ball to?
Austin Eckler
I think that I'm speaking, I guess, more for dynasty of just like it's possible that Mingo was just thrown onto a waiver wire or if you've been stashing him, maybe. Maybe there's a little bit of hope.
Jason Moore
To be one in a million to.
Mike Wright
Work out from a Dynasty perspective. If I had Mingo, I would be so thrilled right now. And I would to try to get a second if I could go find.
Austin Eckler
You're not getting a second.
Mike Wright
No. There's a Cowboy fan. There's a Cowboy fan in every league that you could be like a second rounder for the future. I mean, you know, look at what Brandon Cooks did. You can spin that narrative. I don't think it's going to amount to anything. My point is if I could get anything from Mingo, I would do it.
Jason Moore
The Bears have traded away the unused, yet seemingly somewhat talented Khalil Herbert. He heads to Cincinnati to join the Bengals. Zach Moss going to miss the remainder of the regular season and maybe beyond. The quote was with a neck injury.
Austin Eckler
The quote on Zach Moss was at least the rest of the year. That was not great.
Jason Moore
What is your reaction to this news? Chase Brown has been good. Obviously they wanted to add depth, but do you like. Would you consider Herbert to be a cursory. What happens at.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I mean he's, I think he's now the backup running back here. You saw 100% of carries go to Chase Brown last week. They needed. This is just a smart move for everyone. Khalil Herbert wasn't playing. Hardly is like 5% of snaps for the Bears. He's a good player. He's seventh rounder. Yeah. It costs you nothing. I think it's a win, win, win for everybody. I don't think Khalil Herbert comes in and really hurts Chase Brown, but I do. You know, we're talking about insurance policies here.
Austin Eckler
Yeah, I would. If I had Chase Brown, I would pick up Khalil Herbert 100%.
Mike Wright
I mean, Khalil Herbert on today's episode, like sometimes you're, you're picking up these insurance packs when you aren't the manager of that, of that running back. You know, if Braylon Allen's out there, I'm going to pick him up no matter what.
Austin Eckler
Right.
Mike Wright
Khalil Herbert, not to that degree, but still, he's one injury away from being a relevant player.
Jason Moore
Adam Schefter Reporting that Christian McCaffrey is expected to play football in Week 10. Return to practice on Monday as the team officially opened up his 21 day window. All the two and seven teams with Christian McCaffrey rejoicing. No, I mean, what does this mean for Jordan Mason and his roster spot in fantasy and his role? Like, are you shopping him to the McCaffrey manager? Are you holding in the same vein that we're talking about these other insurance. Only he's better.
Mike Wright
I feel like he is as good an Insurance back as exists. Not to mention you have the added benefit of the fact that you the starter is currently injured and we're expecting to be back. I do think he will be back. But when you are injured and you come back oftentimes you re aggravate an injury. Now they took their time here. I my expectation. I think Christian McCaffrey comes back and has his role. I do. I don't think this is going to be some 50, 50 times share where Jordan Mason has earned enough and Jordan Mason's dealing with an injury of his own as well. I think they're going to pivot right to McCaffrey and just give him the workload. So TBD on that. But Jordan Mason would be someone that certainly you're not dropping to the waiver wire at all because Christian McCaffrey is coming back. If you want to try to get something for him from the McCaffrey manager, try make sure it's worth it.
Jason Moore
Okay. Yeah. I was wondering if you'd consider him a flex play still.
Mike Wright
I do not know. There's no chance I'd put Mason into the lineup this week. I want to see how much work he gets because if it is like 60, 40 or 50, 50. If it's 50, 50, I don't think you want to play Mason and if it's 50, 50, I think you do want to play Christian McCaffrey.
Jason Moore
AJ Brown isn't expect is not expected to miss a significant amount of time. Doesn't mean he won't miss sometime.
Mike Wright
This reminds me of DK Metcalf like crazy. DK Metcalf, it was great news. He did not tear his acl. It's fine. He's going to push to play. He's not going to miss much time. Well, he's missed two weeks.
Austin Eckler
He's still pushing.
Mike Wright
They're on by. We're hoping he's back next week. So I yeah, not, not missing significant amount of time to me means missing time.
Jason Moore
Demiko Ryan is head coach of the Texans says they will quote continue to evaluate Nico Collins hamstring through the week.
Mike Wright
Shut up. Shut your mouth. I'm not talking to you, Andy. I'm talking to D'Amigo Ryan.
Jason Moore
I don't Sunday night game against Detroit.
Austin Eckler
I don't like this.
Mike Wright
Shut up.
Austin Eckler
We were, we were on pace. We were tracking for week 10.
Jason Moore
We didn't really have any news.
Mike Wright
Shut your stupid.
Austin Eckler
But no, we did. We had reports that were like hey Nico Collins is he looks like he's going to be back week 10.
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah. They were saying yeah, I saw multiple.
Jason Moore
Reports of that and they seemed like fake news.
Mike Wright
The thing, the thing is about this report is like saying that they're going to continue to evaluate. Evaluate Nico Collins is not necessarily bad. No, this isn't news. We shouldn't even be reporting it. But it scares me because I just traded for Nico Collins and I need him badly.
Austin Eckler
So it'll be watch the practice reports if he gets, I mean if he's limited all week Sunday night. He's probably playing Sunday night though. Yeah, you need to have a backup option.
Jason Moore
He's eligible to be activated for week 10 so we'll, we'll see if that happens. Joe Flacco will continue to start for the Colts. Shane Steichen announced that plays the Bills this week's Jameson Williams. Jameson Williams reinstated after the two game suspension back on the field for the Lions. And then T. Higgins unsurprisingly listed as DNP on Monday's estimated report. However they play on Thursday.
Austin Eckler
They do, they play Thursday. And the way that they still like.
Jason Moore
To estimate him practicing the news that.
Austin Eckler
Came up before the DNP was like T. Higgins is going to be working with the trainer all week, hopefully getting ready to play for Thursday. So that this is not, it's not a surprise to me that he's estimated as did not practice and this, it's not ruling him out yet.
Jason Moore
Anytime he practices will be a surprise to me. Yeah, I don't want to practice the season. I will be surprised if he practice.
Austin Eckler
Dude just hurts himself when he practices.
Mike Wright
Oh, he hurts himself in games too. Mike. I'm not expecting him on a short week this Thursday. If he's a DMP on Monday, I'm not going to bank on him. I'm not having a backup plan. I'm having a plan. T. Higgins is the backup plan Going back to Joe Flacco. The report was that he will be the starter rest of season.
Jason Moore
I saw that but I didn't have it verified.
Mike Wright
Okay, can I didn't have Kyle or Deucers. Can you verify because we both saw it. I just want to make sure that's legit because that's a. That's a pretty big difference. Giving him the confidence of rest of season or just saying I think he'll.
Austin Eckler
Be the starter rest of season that the team can make to the playoffs.
Jason Moore
That makes sense actually that's what I would. Jonathan Brooks might make his debut this week. Well he has to expected to be activated fir so I mean he could be up. It could be a scratch.
Austin Eckler
Yeah I guess or something. He has to be activated this week or it's it's Dunsky. He'll be out for the year.
Jason Moore
We'll see if there's any more trades today. I will be surprised. I'll be so the report came from Jake Arthur, NFL and co host of Locked on Colts. Yeah, he said he asked Shane Steichen if Joe Flacco may have a certain limit before getting pulled as a starter. Just like Richardson, he said they're sticking with Flacco for the season. We're staying pat with Joe going forward, comma right now. So I have the same amount of confidence in that. All right. That was today's news and notes presented by USAA Insurance. Learn more@usaa.com insurance we'll take a break. We'll come back with a waiver wire.

Head to Wayfair.com now to shop Wayfair's Black Friday deals. That's W A Y F A I R.com I mean the way the Way that the media cycle works with head coaches, the way that the scrutiny. I mean, two weeks ago, the Bears, on top of the world, won Hail Mary. You're the worst team. Hail Mary. Followed by Lawson Arizona, which the Hail Mary catastrophic.
Austin Eckler
I mean, according to the announcers on the game, that. That one play just carried over for the entire game.
Mike Wright
I mean, the reason they lost to the Cardinals was because of the Hail Mary.
Jason Moore
And all I'm saying is, I mean, we saw this last year with the commitment to Desmond Ritter in Atlanta. Things. Toxic group things have to. They just change. They just change. If they. If the Colts go out and Joe Flacco throws three picks, sack, fumble and they score three points, you lied because you don't. You're saying it on the presumption of success. That's how everything goes in the NFL.
Austin Eckler
It's also a lose, lose. What's he supposed to say? Like, you pulled your rookie and you can't, like, can be like, well, we're going to. We're going to evaluate it. If he had said we're going to evaluate it each and every week, we would be roasting him of saying, no, you got to make a decision.
Jason Moore
No, you're right.
Austin Eckler
So it.
Jason Moore
You're right. So you got to be fair.
Austin Eckler
It comes down to we ask these coaches too many questions. We have. We have too. Like for our job, I want the access because I'm trying to piece all the puzzle pieces together, but we have way too much access to these coaches and athletes, and they just say dumb stuff that's not helpful the vast majority of the time. And then we get mad at them.
Mike Wright
Welcome to the waiver wire presented by NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV.
Austin Eckler
You were afraid the spotlight was coming out.
Jason Moore
I'm sorry. Yeah, I didn't, I didn't realize. Yeah, you were going to keep going. My bad. We've got the 49ers and Steelers back off the buy, and then the next three weeks, four more teams every week. So the Browns, Packers, Raiders and Seahawks taking time off this week. And we turn to the running back position. There are two names, majority rostered that are worth briefly mentioning just in case Rico Dowdle and Jonathan Brooks. People have been waiting a long time for Jonathan Brooks and frankly, a long time for Rico Dowdle to be a player you could count on. If they're there, survey the field, they're at the top of the list. But now let's Talk about sub 50% roster players and who tops the list for you?
Mike Wright
No one. No, I mean Jalen Warren. We talked. We talked about him last week. I was not as high on Jalen Warren last week because he was going into buy and he doesn't strike me as a player that I need to go out there and spend fab on or my waiver priority to wait two weeks to get a player who hasn't scored 10 fantasy points. But he's back back from by. He has been catching passes from Russell Wilson. He's available in over 50% of leagues. The matchup against the Washington Commanders is middle of the package. So I'm fine if I had to take a shot of someone that I'm picking up to start this week. There's. There's very few names out there. I mean you're talking about. You've got a trifecta of Jalen Warren, Tyler Algier and Justice Hill. Those three guys are available in about half of leagues. You could pick them up and just hope you get a touchdown.
Austin Eckler
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Because you're probably getting six to eight points from any of those guys.
Austin Eckler
Yeah, it's really, it's really, really thin this week. The only other name I think that could be picked up right now as a stash and hope that they overtake the starter. It's Audric estimate for the Denver Broncos. The rookie running back we've now had, I think we're on a couple of weeks now of Sean Payton saying that Audrey Estimate is going to get some more work.
Mike Wright
Yeah, he said it last week and then he didn't.
Jason Moore
He's never trustworthy.
Austin Eckler
However, last year every single week Marvin Mims was going to get. We got to figure a way to get him out there. We're going to do it this week. We just like Jerry Judy's in the way and it just, it's not.
Jason Moore
He's 50.
Mike Wright
He's a liar.
Jason Moore
He's a 50. 50. Like if you look at Coach Speak index that tracks.
Mike Wright
That's what I'm just going.
Jason Moore
No, he's 50% reliability on play time.
Austin Eckler
Yeah, he's. He's a liar. But it. At least it, it makes sense. It makes sense process.
Jason Moore
Is that because like Javante Williams has like 40 yards on his last 19 carries or something like that?
Austin Eckler
Yeah, that would be a big part of it. Of this offense is like they have to find a solution. Jaleel McLaughlin is getting more playing time these last couple weeks. I don't personally think that he is the answer for the Denver Broncos. Maybe they don't have one, but it makes sense for them to at least give estimate a shot to see if he can get a hot hand and be someone that they can actually rely on.
Mike Wright
The name that I would bring up, that hasn't been relevant as of this season, but was just traded to Minnesota a couple weeks ago. Cam Acres as an insurance option to Aaron Jones.
Austin Eckler
What did. What did Ty Chandler do?
Mike Wright
I don't know. But they. They stopped using him as much and.
Jason Moore
Then that's what he hasn't done, I think. And perhaps.
Austin Eckler
But like the off season, you know, O'Connell. I think O'Connell's a pretty trustworthy guy with the stuff he says they were. Maybe they were just pumping up that this is their player because they gave him eight weeks.
Mike Wright
Yeah, they did.
Jason Moore
They gave him eight weeks. I mean, that's not being dishonest. You gave him the half the season to try to show you something.
Mike Wright
He didn't show you most of the weeks for. For Chandler this year, 2.1 a carry, 1.9, 1.7, 2.12. He hasn't gotten it done. They can't give him the ball. Pretty good audition the last two weeks. There's a combined 4% of snaps for Ty Chandler. So that role has now been given over to Cam Acres, who he looked okay when he was there. So just as an insurance back, someone that is widely available, I'm not excited to pick him up. I'd rather have Khalil Herbert, who is also 9% rostered. There's just not a lot of names. I mean, it's really like, get your insurance policies, go grab your.
Jason Moore
This is the second week has been like this at running back and it's.
Mike Wright
Good news because it means there wasn't a catastrophic injury. It means one of the star running backs for two weeks in a row hasn't gotten injured. Because usually we're coming in and we're bringing up this name, whatever it is, as like he now gets to be the starter. So in some regards, I hope that it sucks the rest of the season.
Jason Moore
No, it's actually a good point. I mean, we. I hate you even bringing it up because it feels like we're tempting fate or something, but you're right. And it's a good time to remind you that we have a full waiver wire rankings and we have them customized to your specific league. If you import it into the ultimate dashboard, which just this past week, the In Season app. So if you search the app store for the fantasy footballers and you download that app, it's free to download as long as you're a member@jointhefoot.com, you can get access to the ultimate dashboard inside the app, which we have a custom waiver wire, custom spot starts, everything with our rankings that we put together on the waiver show and throughout the week as we adjust them, that gets reflected with your league and who's actually available. So I encourage you to take advantage of that and the fact that you can do that now in your pocket.
Mike Wright
And we've had an app for years, but it has not been what it is. So if you've had it, go and update the app. It is completely revamped. It is awesome. Having the ultimate dashboard in your pocket for waivers and for spot starts and for lineup optimization is truly awesome. It's out right now on your iOS app. And it will be coming to Android.
Jason Moore
Yeah, it's on Android, but the update is coming this week. So if you want to go grab it on Android and then when the update comes through sometime this week, you'll get the ultimate dashboard there, too. Drop candidates Travis ET and Devin Singletary. That's a no and a no for me.
Austin Eckler
I would not drop.
Jason Moore
I mean, have you listened to the names we just mentioned? Yeah, I wouldn't do that. Especially not etn. That would be dumb.
Mike Wright
It's.
Austin Eckler
Singletary's job is gone, but ETN could.
Jason Moore
Get it back at wide receiver. The name that's going to probably fetch the most fab.
Austin Eckler
He's going to get the bag.
Jason Moore
Quentin Johnston, 4 for 118 and one came off of an injury. He's only 28% rostered. You know, to me, I don't know if I'm willing to break the bank on it, but I'd be investing.
Mike Wright
Yeah, they're throwing it more. And Quentin Johnson looked good before the injury. We brought this up on yesterday's episode. Quentin Johnston, I mean, he's catching the ball. He's getting open. He's, he's, he's been pretty good for fantasy. He obviously got injured and that was bad. But they're also allowing Herbert to throw the ball more. He's a talented player. He was a raw prospect coming in with, like, some development that was needed. But if they gave him the development, I mean, you look at the. I know in the early off season, we were talking about the difference in coaching styles with Dennis Allen tearing down all of his players. But you had Harbaugh just talking like, Quentin Johnson goes out, drops a couple passes in camp, and then he comes out and he's just talking about how great Quentin Johnson is, what, what attributes he sees that he loves out of this guy, he's just building them up. And lo and behold, Quentin Johnson is developing and is playing better. And so this is a talented human being, a talented athlete that if he can actually develop, could become a legitimate, you know, weekly option for Herbert Xavier.
Jason Moore
League yet probably the best thing that the Panthers have going in the wide receiver room right now, Legat and Jalen Coker. I think both of those names, it's important to bring them up again because maybe Coker had a lot of attention last week, got picked up, didn't have as big of a game, so maybe he gets ignored. These are going to be some ping pong type of situations and wide receivers at the top are inconsistent. So certainly in this tier they're going to be inconsistent. So like you should come back to the well is what I'm saying.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Leg has been double digits in fantasy points three of the last four weeks. Four of the last six weeks. He's involved, he's on the field a lot. 83%, 84, 77% of snaps and he's really used around the goal line. He's a gargantuan man. So the red zone opportunities have been there. You don't expect them a ton with Bryce Young throwing the ball, but I mean he's had four touchdowns in the last six weeks.
Jason Moore
I like manufactured touches. When you have an offense that you don't have trust in too and you're going to see more of that. Like he has a rushing attempt in three straight games and so I likely get more than Coker both to pay attention to. I think Fab is going to get spent on DeMarcus Robinson this week and I'm not sure that I will be in that place. I know he's a very. He's had effective games last year with both cup and Puka on the field. This last week we didn't have Puka for half the game. He was on 30% snap counts the week before when Robinson was really effective. It's not that Robinson shouldn't be rostered, but to me I wouldn't spend. I don't have the confidence to spend Big Fab there when I have other players I like.
Mike Wright
Not at all. DeMarcus Robinson has been good when the game script requires Stafford to air it out and then he's the third on the field. That's, that's his situation. But he is a streaming option, a matchup play. This week he's playing against Miami. They are, they give up the third fewest points to wide receivers. This doesn't strike Me as one of those game scripts that I am targeting the third wide receiver for their opponent.
Austin Eckler
I got two wide receivers. I would bring up Juwan Jennings. Yes, San Francisco, please. He's back like he. They were on by last week and Brandon Iuk is gone for the rest of the season. They get to play Tampa Bay.
Mike Wright
Oh yeah.
Austin Eckler
Then Seattle. So we have two good matchups coming up here and he's already. He's already balled out a few times this season. So I think that he, him and huge are my priority ads. But Jennings a little bit higher on the roster.
Jason Moore
You put Piersol in the category with him as somebody that I think he.
Austin Eckler
Should be a. Piersol is a player that should be rostered in basically every single 12 team league. But I would really prioritize Juwan Jennings. I'll take the guy that I know already has some type of connection with Brock Purdy and it's not a first round rookie trying to work his way in. And then the other name, it's Pop Douglas. It's Demario Douglas of the New England Patriots. It was the production only seven points in a half point scoring format. But look at the outside numbers. Nine targets. He caught seven of them. It's only 35 yards. Look, that's kind of gross. But he had seven receptions and in the other game where he played, you know, more snaps than not with Drake May it's like they've had a weird overlapping thing where we can't seem to get him together at the same time. But in that first game with the Mario Douglas and Drake may 6 for 92 with a score. I think that he is a. He's a more under the radar ad because he didn't have a blow up the week.
Jason Moore
Jalen Paul's not playing back.
Austin Eckler
Yeah.
Jason Moore
You know Jalen Polk's not playing football.
Mike Wright
Demero Douglas is a good player and he's I think the first read for the wide receiver crew there.
Austin Eckler
Yeah, I think that's for me.
Mike Wright
I like everything you're saying but to me he is an on the radar pick up, not a pickup and play this week. I just brought up Miami being top three against wide receivers. He's playing against Chicago. Who's top two against wide receiver. It's not like the. It's not the matchup I want to play but he is a good player who's going to start developing more connection with me. So you know next week after on waivers. Let's not forget that after a down week from Pop Douglas and pick him up and play him against the Rams.
Jason Moore
Let me ask you this. You know, there's quite a few names. Legat, Johnston, Jennings. Are you, are you cutting Xavier Worthy? Is it, is it worth just not being like. My worry with Xavier Worthy is that he is going to be the one in six weeks. A big play, touchdown. But then we're living the McColl, Hardman, the Kidarius, Tony, the millions of different names that we've seen in that role. Like are you cutting him for these names?
Mike Wright
For those top names? Yeah, I mean if I could, if I could swap Xavier Worthy into Leggett Jennings, Quentin Johnston, I would do that 100%. I'm not going to, you know, DeMario Douglas versus Xavier Worthy. I just hold on to Xavier Worthy.
Jason Moore
Okay. Jalen Waddle.
Mike Wright
No, I'm not cutting Jalen Waddle.
Austin Eckler
No dropping Jalen Waddle.
Mike Wright
He got a touchdown last week, had crazy negative play that wasn't really on him. And then you've still got only two games back with tua. So no, I'm not cutting Jalen Waddle.
Jason Moore
Deontay Johnson. I have no redraft interest in Deontay Johnson.
Mike Wright
He's a really tough one because he is good and he's on a great offense. But he can't be the one. I mean, Zay Flowers, I don't think.
Austin Eckler
He can be the two.
Jason Moore
His snap counts. I would have to see go way, way, way, way up from where I'd expect him to.
Mike Wright
I mean, I don't view him as a must drop. If he was out on waivers, I'd go. There's a path for a good player on a good offense, but he's certainly not someone I'm playing right now. I mean this is like a. It's almost like a developmental player and that's hard to do when you're in week 10.
Jason Moore
I mean, I would I drop him for Judy.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
Lee, get Jennings, Johnston, Pierce all and probably Coker, honestly, because I, I want Ceiling man and I just don't know Deontay Johnson. When are you going to start him.
Austin Eckler
In a regular 12 team? Probably never if you're in a deep roster. Okay, but it's like, it's disgusting. And he's on bye week. By this week I'd rather have Elijah Moore than Deontay Johnson. I'll take those targets. He didn't produce, but he still got a whole bunch of targets.
Mike Wright
Well, that's what he does.
Jason Moore
That is his entire.
Mike Wright
I mean nine targets for 28 yards is what he's done for. I mean literally 30 games.
Jason Moore
His entire Career. That's all he's ever done.
Mike Wright
If they had 100.
Jason Moore
He had 104 targets last year and finished as the wide receiver.
Mike Wright
That is awesome.
Austin Eckler
Those are Watson targets.
Mike Wright
I will say. Yeah. Elijah Moore, if you're in a.
Jason Moore
He's got a four year career.
Mike Wright
I mean if you're in a PPT league, he is actually super duper.
Jason Moore
Point per target.
Mike Wright
Point per target. Yeah. If you give points for targets, then that's awesome. Pick him up.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
I mean also send me a screenshot of the league because I've never heard of it.
Jason Moore
I think I hate Elijah Moore.
Mike Wright
I think you hate the league.
Jason Moore
He has four good games in four years.
Mike Wright
Can confirm you hate Elijah more.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I'm out. All right. Any other wide receivers worth throwing out there? Parker Washington was a name last week.
Austin Eckler
Worth bringing up Maybe. Like, we'll see how Drake London is doing, But Ray. Ray McLeod could be in for a spot start.
Jason Moore
What do people do with DJ Moore right now?
Austin Eckler
Oh my gosh.
Jason Moore
He had a bunch of targets again. Why? He also walked off the field in the middle of a play.
Mike Wright
So I wasn't sure about that there. It's possible. No, I watched the play and I was like, what in the world are you doing? He has. He is six yards off the field with his back to the field while Caleb Williams is still running around on the play. My only thing that I said I'm not sure about is I wasn't sure if he stepped out of bounds and then took himself out to make sure he wasn't a target.
Jason Moore
You can reestablish, can you?
Mike Wright
Without a penalty?
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Austin Eckler
No, I don't think you can. You can't be the first person to touch.
Jason Moore
Oh, you can't be the first person to touch the football.
Mike Wright
Right. So I thought maybe he was limping off.
Jason Moore
It was ridiculous.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
So can still go block for your teammates, gentlemen?
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Austin Eckler
Oh, you don't need to. You don't leave the field.
Jason Moore
You don't leave the. I mean he is so. I'm actually really disappointed in DJ Moore this year.
Mike Wright
He seems like a pissy pants man.
Jason Moore
Yeah, he seems like a pissy pants. And he just got paid a bunch of money by this team to come in and doubt your quarterback again. I mean, I, I don't like the attitude.
Mike Wright
I don't know.
Austin Eckler
Just as QB, he hates his coach too.
Mike Wright
1. Yeah, but don't be a pissy. But all of the Bears do and they're not pissy pants.
Jason Moore
And if I didn't, if it was free, if it was pro bono. You can be a pissy pants.
Mike Wright
Absolutely.
Jason Moore
You're not pro bono.
Austin Eckler
I am not defending.
Jason Moore
Oh, I think you are.
Austin Eckler
I am not defending.
Jason Moore
You love team, you love Elijah Moore, and you love pissy pantsers.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Austin Eckler
I am saying DJ Moore has had a terrible. He's well compensated.
Jason Moore
He should be more in the game finishing plays.
Austin Eckler
But the dude has had a terrible situation like every single year of his life. Except for one.
Mike Wright
Yeah, the only other.
Jason Moore
Except for the money part.
Austin Eckler
The only other name taking the money.
Mike Wright
That I would throw out there. I believe he's in concussion protocol, so you got to monitor the practice reports. But Darius Slayton against Carolina.
Austin Eckler
Yes.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Yeah. He's one of those players you could pick up and play because he actually has good games from time to time. And he's got a plus matchup.
Jason Moore
No player. There's an unheralded player that never gets any credit.
Mike Wright
Darius Slayton.
Jason Moore
Darius Slayton generally produces when asked to.
Mike Wright
And yet he has been a successful NFL wide receiver for six years and he has never wanted and never respected.
Austin Eckler
No.
Mike Wright
It'S impressive.
Jason Moore
Of Elijah Moore. All right, we'll take a break. We'll hit the tight ends.
Mike Wright

Jason Moore
How much fab are you spending on Sticky?
Mike Wright
Who?
Jason Moore
Sticky go sick. He's 20% rostered. You've lost Eric all junior. You, T. Higgins is forever doubtful and you've got a Thursday night game against the single best team to throw the football against over the last five weeks. If you look at who you want to start a white out against which Gasecki when he runs from the slot. That's a big, tall, sticky handed white out. How much are you spending up on Gasicki? Because how long do you think this will last?
Mike Wright
I don't think it will last once T. Higgins is back, but it is worth spending up burning your priority or spending money to get a victory.
Jason Moore
Oh, sorry. Do you know a snap count last week? I just want you to take a snap count. Yeah. Snap count for Gasicki. Number one overall tight end, five for 102. What's a snap count?
Mike Wright
Makes me want to go 100%, but I don't know, 88%, Mike.
Austin Eckler
I'm going to guess like 60 something.
Jason Moore
So Eric Hall Jr. Was knocked out, right? Yeah, 36%.
Austin Eckler
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Okay, so I mean, look, 36%.
Mike Wright
Oh, you were talking about Eric all.
Jason Moore
Nope.
Austin Eckler
No, wait. That's sticky.
Jason Moore
Sticky.
Mike Wright
That's not right. That's inaccurate. Strike from the tape. Scrub it. That's wrong. You sound dumb.
Jason Moore
I had to laugh because you're. We're talking about the future. The future was sticky gocicki. 36% of snaps.
Mike Wright
Was he 100%. Targets per route run like his average.
Jason Moore
Snap count on the year is 41% on the season.
Austin Eckler
Yeah, it's all. That one's all about route participation.
Jason Moore
Yes, it is.
Austin Eckler
Wow.
Jason Moore
But I mean, the targets the last two weeks, 8 and 6. It's just that, like, Kate Otten compared to Mike Gasicki. Kate Otten plays every snap of the ball game. Sticky Gasicki. You're like, where are you?
Mike Wright
I mean, if I've been rolling out Jake Ferguson or Taysom Hill or even Mark Andrews, like, I think it's worth picking up Gasicki for a one week start because the targets have been there. He's really talented. Like, he. There are not a lot of.
Jason Moore
You're saying sometimes you can't be picky.
Mike Wright
You can't be picky when you got to get sticky.
Jason Moore
Right?
Mike Wright
Pick up Kasiki. Thank you. You led me there. Yeah. I didn't want to participate.
Austin Eckler
That's just.
Jason Moore
Yes, Andy, that's half my crickets.
Austin Eckler
He put the cheese right on the trap and you were like, snap neck.
Mike Wright
My neck just got snapped. Thanks, Andy. You just murdered.
Jason Moore
Walking you into bad jokes should be a thing. But you're right. You're right. Gasicki has more upside with his quarterback throwing. The way he's throwing it around the red zone.
Austin Eckler
And against Baltimore's.
Jason Moore
And against Baltimore. So that's a Thursday night.
Austin Eckler
But what. So what? It's just what happens if T actually plays?
Jason Moore
I was with Eric all his injury. I'm still, I'm interested a little bit.
Mike Wright
Okay, yeah, I'm interested. But he certainly would go down a notch. Like, I would still play him over Taysom Hill. I'd still play him over Jake Ferguson without Dak. But you know, for instance, I think one of the, one of the big scary names is Sam Laporta. Like Sam Laporta. If I had him and T. Higgins was out, I would, I would play Gasicki.
Jason Moore
Okay. I think Juwan Johnson might be hiding.
Austin Eckler
He might.
Jason Moore
But maybe not Joanne Johnson, Taysom Hill. Both the last remaining targets for a team now without Olave Shahid. So, you know, they should, they should receive targets.
Mike Wright
Sure.
Austin Eckler
They really should. And then Johnny Smith, that would be.
Mike Wright
The name right now for me, it's Kasiki and Johnny because Johnny Smith has been shockingly involved last four games.
Jason Moore
Target pace 114. 8, 7, 6, 6.
Mike Wright
Yeah. I mean, the last two weeks with.
Austin Eckler
You got to take that six targets.
Mike Wright
From Tua in games where he's back. I mean, it might not have been a great fantasy output in each one of those, but he is involved for a good offense. And this week The Rams, they're 30th against tight end.
Austin Eckler
Oh, my gosh.
Jason Moore
I am just pleased play T. Higgins because I knew this was going to be the case. Ask Kyle to grab me. The splits of this season with and without T. Higgins, double the fantasy points. Jamar Chase is averaging double the fantasy points with T. Higgins. Jason and I watched the film on the Go Sicki touchdown. I retweeted it. It's outrageous. Like multiple Raiders defenders sprint full speed sprint at Jamar Chase on the playward. Gasicki is wide open for a touchdown.
Mike Wright
It's like he already had the ball and they were going to tackle him. I mean, he's just out wide. Chase is out wide to the left. The ball is snapped and two defenders run at Chase like they're literally about to launch a tackle him. And all the while Gasicki just leaks and goes for.
Jason Moore
He averages more receptions total without Higgins. But his production, his production is a 1700 yard pace with T. Higgins or 824 without because the defense focuses on you circling back to tight ends. I'm going to throw the name out there. He's a rookie. He's capable.
Austin Eckler
Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure.
Jason Moore
And he's. And he's on an offense that needs.
Mike Wright
Targets and both of them.
Jason Moore
Well, David Sanders Both.
Mike Wright
I knew you were going. Theo.
Jason Moore
Yeah, yeah. Theo Johnson, maybe. No, Slayton. Theo Johnson. Here's what I'm talking about. It's the opposite of the Gasicki. His snap counts 89, 90, 97, 85. The last four weeks he's been an 84% snap count player on the year. And if he earns more trust, he got into the end zone is Daniel Jones. If you want to stay away, I get it. But both him and just Haveian Sanders, both rookie athletic tight ends with upside. It's not, you know, it's. It's kind of the opposite of putting Zach Ertz on your roster.
Austin Eckler
The. This is a dangerous thing to say, but the tight end waivers this week are.
Jason Moore
They're all right.
Austin Eckler
They're okay. Because there's also Hunter Henry, who like Drake May has been playing fantastic targets.
Mike Wright
Of if Hunter Henry is out there. That's right.
Jason Moore
They used to be icky, but now they're sick.
Austin Eckler
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Look it hit the applause button.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Austin Eckler
The people loved it.
Mike Wright
Gotcha.
Austin Eckler
Here comes the boo.
Mike Wright
Boston.
Austin Eckler
Yeah, Hunter Henry. Our numbers are 39% rostered targets the last three weeks. Nine, six and eight.
Mike Wright
Oh, that's outstanding.
Austin Eckler
I mean, that's. You gotta.
Jason Moore
You gotta get in on that defensive options this week. The Giants, who I picked up last week for this week.
Austin Eckler
Yeah, it was a good move.
Jason Moore
They're gonna sack the crap out of Bryce Young.
Austin Eckler
Yes.
Jason Moore
Atlanta is playing New Orleans and whatever they have left. Arizona is at home against the Jets. They're favored. I'd be terrified to play that one. I don't love the Cardinals.
Mike Wright
Honestly, I don't think there's a bunch of great pickups, but the Giants and Falcons are the two that are widely available and great pickups, great matchups.
Jason Moore
I think Detroit's going to do pretty well against Houston if Nico's not back because they shut down.
Mike Wright
Hey, watch your mouth. Don't say that. I'm right next to earmuffs.
Austin Eckler
Jason. If Nico's not back on top of that, like I think that the Lions are. They're a fine play this week. They don't have the upside as the Giants. But then the next week it's Jacksonville and then the next week it's the Colts. So I think that you might want to just pick the Lions up for a. For a three week stretch here.
Mike Wright
It's worth noting. Zadarius Smith. Yes, yes. At the trade deadline, the lines did acquire him. So they lost Aiden Hutchinson. Their defense has still been pretty good, but they obviously, when you lose one of if not the best pass rusher in the league, that hurts. Getting Zadarius Smith from the Browns is a great move for the Lions and will help their defense. So it's a good pickup for the future.
Jason Moore
Patriots play the Bears, Bears play the Patriots. So both sides of that might be okay. I'm curious what the over under that game is.
Mike Wright
I would.
Jason Moore
I'm guessing 37.
Mike Wright
I think the Chicago defense would be great against the Patriots offense. Drake May has looked very good to me considering the situation 39 and a half. But it's bad. Like his situation's bad. I would expect the Patriots to be good, especially on the road in Chicago.
Jason Moore
Tennessee put up 11 fantasy points against them last week in our league against New England. So you're right on that. That was today's waiver wire brought to you by NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV. We're excited to announce that right now you can get NFL Sunday ticket for the rest of the season for only $209. Visit YouTube.com fantasy footballers to sign up today. Terms and embargoes apply. No cancellations.
Mike Wright
Full stream ahead.
Jason Moore
I feel like embargoes are just like for ships.
Mike Wright
That's all it is. This is.
Jason Moore
Is that what that means?
Mike Wright
That is what it means. Yeah.
Jason Moore
It's saying terms and shipping embargoes.
Mike Wright
Exactly. There are terms. And then if you're, if you're traveling from an ocean, from free, there's going to be some embargoes you got to deal with.
Jason Moore
Right, Right. Which is of course, what is an embargo again?
Mike Wright
An embargo is a contractual issue in the ocean.
Jason Moore
Okay.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Austin Eckler
Big, big, big ocean.
Jason Moore
I'm going to stream Justin Herbert this week.
Austin Eckler
All right.
Jason Moore
Justin Herbert's been throwing the football quite a bit. They've upped their pass rate. He was only averaging 23 pass a per game in the first four weeks. Now he's averaging 22 completions a game over the last three weeks. 287 passing yards a game is quite impressive. And with Quentin Johnston Back lad McConkey, I'm going to, I'm going to put Justin Herbert appropriately into that streaming category. And I feel like, I feel like I'm doing something nice. You know what I mean? Like, Herbert has taken the brunt of the head coaching change problems.
Mike Wright
Yeah, he deserves it.
Jason Moore
He deserves it.
Mike Wright
He's a good quarterback.
Jason Moore
Stream that man.
Mike Wright
This is a tough matchup, but he is a good quarterback. I'm going to go with Kirk Cousins, who's been on a heater. He's the quarterback 12 on the season. He's a quarterback one if you haven't paid attention. And since week five, he's completing 72% of his passes and on pace for 5,000 yards and 44 passing touchdowns over the last month. The Saints are 25th and schedule adjusted fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. And if you're paying attention to the back and forth Bijan running back market share, this is his down week.
Austin Eckler
So Kirk Cousins, you're not worried about the coach one week bump here for the Saints.
Mike Wright
That is a real. That is a real thing. That is. I think we looked this. Why did we look it up earlier this year, one of the coaches, I don't remember who, but we were like, it was. Oh, it was the Jets. Yeah. It was like do teams actually get better rest of season after they fire the coach? And it was basically for about a game. It was like the next game their record is actually. It was like above 500, I think. And then after that the rest of the season it collapses.
Jason Moore
So what's the situation though? Because I'm sure there's like 50 examples of coaches getting fired and also having Derek Carr as a quarterback the next week.
Mike Wright
Yeah, there are several of those.
Austin Eckler
Yeah.
Mike Wright
I'll have to look up the data, but there's at least four.
Jason Moore
I don't think I know one. I know one man who is not picking the Saints this week for sure. And it's Michael Thomas.
Mike Wright
Oh, man, that dude. That dude hates Derek Carr.
Jason Moore
I mean with a pat. Like there's video of Michael Thomas driving around New Orleans talking to strangers about Derek Carr right now.
Mike Wright
I tweeted out the moment that pass that was way too high and put Chris Olavi in a position where he couldn't protect himself and he got knocked out. I tweeted that their car should be fined for basically throwing him a hospital ball and being the sole reason he's concussed. And Michael Thomas retweeted it almost instantly.
Austin Eckler
Yeah.
Mike Wright
And then went on a rampage.
Austin Eckler
I think Michael Thomas might blame Derek Carr for the injuries.
Jason Moore
Yeah. And he's very bitter. Very, very bitter.
Austin Eckler
The third stream here.
Mike Wright
It's gross. I was going to tell everybody hold their down. I'm not holding my nose. I was going to pick this name but you had him in the dock first.
Austin Eckler
He's playing against the Carolina Panthers. It's Daniel Jones.
Mike Wright
Who.
Jason Moore
How'd that go for Derek Carr last week?
Mike Wright
Derek.
Austin Eckler
I will be in more with Daniel Jones and Derek Carr. Daniel Jones has four top 12 performances on the year. He is averaging 27 rushing yards a game. That's the nice floor. And you know that any given week, Daniel Jones can have a ton of rushing yards. Carolina 31st and schedule adjusted fantasy points to the quarterback position.
Jason Moore
You're not buying into the Carolina winning streak beginning here?
Mike Wright
No.
Jason Moore
That game will be weird. That'll be a weird one. Okay, there you go. We will get into hungry for more of the TNF preview mailbag tomorrow.
