I'm so happy to be with everybody today. Unfortunately, Mike, sorry, everybody. Perfectly nailed what we watched last night on Thursday Night Football minus two plays.

[Jason Moore]

Hey, yeah. If you be grateful that we got some. Well, we got Saquon Barkley and then we got absolute dust. Stinkiest doo doo garbage. I know it's within two scores, yada yada. But the Jaden Daniels to Zach Ertz touchdown and then the two point conversion was awesome.

[Mike Wright]

This happened for one reason. I mean, Jaden Daniels was. He had. He was down at seven points, had thrown a pick. It was not looking good. The team inexplicably went for it on fourth down when they could have kicked the field goal to take the lead.

[Andy Holloway]

That was so stupid.

[Mike Wright]

It was the dumbest thing. It's the single dumbest thing I've seen in the NFL this year. Because it was an opportunity to take the lead with just four minutes left. It was an easily makeable field goal and you had just been stuffed twice on second and third down. I can't believe they did it. It changed the entire game.

[Andy Holloway]

It wasn't one of those situations where there was like, you know, a minute left so that they, you know, if they pick it up, they can run the clock out and kick a field goal with four seconds left. That wasn't the situation.

[Mike Wright]

I don't know, man. It was just weird.

[Andy Holloway]

You got to take in the lead and I'm, you know, we're all Mr. Go for it.

[Jason Moore]

I'm as aggressive as it gets. But you, you take the lead.

[Mike Wright]

Oh, you're in on that?

Oh, yes. You take the lead with four minutes left. Or at least remember how they moved the entirety of the field with passing. And they were like, yeah, they couldn't be stopped on that drive. And then they're like, you know what we're going to do?

We're going to go high T right here. And it didn't work.

Yeah, it was a little reminiscent of the former Cardinal cliff days at times, you know, right up the middle.

Yeah.

But what I was getting to is that Jason was just openly mocking Mr. Jeremy over there.

[Andy Holloway]

Al Borland, our main two leagues league of record and our main dynasty league. Jeremy and I are facing each other and in both of those he has Jaden Daniels. So I'm playing against Jaden Daniels.

[Mike Wright]

Oh, in both of them.

[Andy Holloway]

Oh, I didn't realize he had him. In both.

[Andy Holloway]

I am loving life because the game is over and Jaden's got seven points. I'm like, heck, yeah.

And then garbage time. Garbage on the field.

[Andy Holloway]

Garbage time. And that terrible time management again, the touchdown to Zach Ertz, which, I mean, what an incredible catch. But this is how garbage it was when it was called on the field. Not a touchdown. No one cared.

[Mike Wright]

Oh, you're talking about the two point conversion?

[Andy Holloway]

Was that the two point conversion? It was like, you know, it was just one of those things where it doesn't matter. Yeah, it doesn't matter. The game's over. It doesn't matter. Oh, oh, we got that.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah.

[Andy Holloway]

Neat.

Yeah. I mean, at least that gave gave Matrix at the onside kick, but.

And Brian Robinson scored. So.

If you took the gamble on it, it paid off.

I was talking to Al yesterday. Hopefully he doesn't mind me sharing this, but he said, you know, he's got Jaden Daniels in both leagues and he's just like, man, I am the most stressed out. I've been in fantasy. And I couldn't help but think of that quote when Jaden Daniels was struggling last night, because this was one of the ones that, like, on paper was scary. If you're a Jaden Daniels manager.

[Jason Moore]

Yes.

[Mike Wright]

You kind of knew in the back of your head that maybe Goff or Nick's or Herbert would be a better play this week. But how do you sit down that guy that, you know, you just hope he gets enough on the ground. It was a really boring game. If you were a Saquon manager, you were sad. And then you were. So, I mean, you weren't sad.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, you were.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, you were sad.

[Andy Holloway]

You were. Because he was bottled up.

Yeah. It was 76 yards, no touchdowns.

Yeah. You were pretty disappointed with the performance. It really Seemed like the commander's defense had Saquon's number and they did forward the majority of the game and until they didn't.

Two touchdowns in 20 seconds for Saquon Barkley.

[Jason Moore]

Well, they needed. They needed Ken Gainwell to go in and tenderize the meat. Like, that was a wild run there where Gainwell's getting just absolutely gouging the defense. And then they were like, hey, Barkley, you take over from here.

[Mike Wright]

Didn't we bring up Gainwell as like, when. Cause we talked Corum and we talked Trey Benson and we talked these other insurance backs and we're like, why is Gainwell not being brought up? Where if something happened to Saquon, which has happened for years, why wouldn't Gainwell be one of those priority apps?

[Jason Moore]

Oh, he would. He's just is not as top tier.

[Andy Holloway]

Right.

Like the. He'll give you what, 65% of saquon.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah.

I mean, we.

We've seen him in a couple opportunities to have that role and he just hasn't had massive performances. And I also think some of the reason that he isn't given enough credit as that insurance back is because they drafted Will Shipley. Sure. And everyone loves a rookie.

Yeah, they do. That's why Blake Corum gets mentioned in that group.

[Jason Moore]

Exactly.

It's awesome to see Saquon have a career year with the opportunity he's had. I mean, the hundred yard games with this offensive line in this offensive system, he has been rejuvenated. Also, I think this off season, just to quickly give one kind of takeaway, it's that there's a massive difference. We're like, oh, DeAndre Swift is successful in Philly. Okay. He's not Saquon. Oh, my gosh. Devin Singletary had some success in Houston. Oh, he's not Joe Mixon. Like the big backs.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. Oh, oh, Gus Edwards had some touchdowns last year for the Ravens. Oh, he's not King Henry. Yeah.

And the different and who's winning, turns.

Out running backs matter.

The old ones like this, the great ones, it's the.

It is. But I'm saying it's the upside down nature of this fantasy football season of the wide receivers are killing people. If you drafted running backs early, it's working out. And if you drafted and they're staying. That's what I'm saying. This is.

They're all healthy. We have nothing to say on waiver day for running backs because James Connor's healthy and these guys are staying on the field.

[Andy Holloway]

The best part is that this isn't a fantasy football take. This is an NFL Take the teams that spent big money on Brandon Iuk and, you know, franchise T. Higgins or, you know, it's, you know, the teams that invested and spent the money on the big running backs this off season. They're the ones winning.

[Mike Wright]

And I'm so happy because I don't enjoy the part of the off season where we were trending towards running backs. Can't get contracts and it's all committees and rookies like bring balance to the force here. Maybe this year will incentivize some teams to spend up on players you just talked about. Was it yesterday Connor might get an extension from Arizona.

[Jason Moore]

I mean, I am projecting that. Haven't heard nothing but just. It would be not surprising at all.

[Mike Wright]

Just fine wine running backs.

Yeah.

No, it just get better and better.

It will definitely keep working.

It's a horrible. It was a horrible night for Terry McLaurin. It's worth mentioning that Philadelphia right now, number one wide receivers are getting shut down against Philadelphia. And so it's not just Terry McLaurin like you're talking about, you know, a number of top backs. I was, I was trying to pull up. I had a chart earlier of all of the shutdown guys.

Well, while you, while you look at that, just a reminder that. Yeah. Because the Washington Commanders play Philadelphia in week 16.

But, you know, and Brian Thomas Jr. Is still limited with the chest injury. I mean, this is, this is lining up really well for the Detroit defense.

Sam LaPorta still sidelined on Thursday. I felt like the comments from Dan Campbell and the news report on Laporta really put him more into the week to week category for me personally. The Draft King sportsbook line, New York minus four. The over under is 43 and a half. I like New York in this game. Both of these teams have been really in the blender when it comes to the coaches, the coaching staff, the decisions, the quarterback tumult, low expect or expectations that have been lowered. What is your initial impression on this game?

[Andy Holloway]

I mean, I mean the big news that we talked about this week was that Anthony Richardson is installed as the quarterback. We're going to see what he learned on his quick little hiatus as a, as a backup quarterback. If anything, you know, when it comes to like you like the jets in this game, I get that they're at home, they're a very good passing defense over the course of the season, last week notwithstanding. And then you've got, you know, basically a rookie in Anthony Richardson coming in who has looked good and bad in different matchups. But I do caution a little bit of swinging the pendulum too far where we go. Anthony Richardson has been bad, has thrown picks and that was a good defense. So therefore it's just going to be a massacre. Anthony Richardson also has big explosive upside plays down the field to Adnai Mitchell, who's getting more work. I would not be surprised here. Like I don't think it is a guarantee that Anthony Richardson comes out and has an awful game and is demoralized by the jets defense that looked so bad last week.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, I mean it's never a guarantee in fantasy football, but I buy all of that. I buy the whole narrative. I think he'll be pretty bad. I mean, let's go back in time. I mean we have single digit fantasy performances in 405. 11.5 was the peak in the last five starts. I'm just not, I don't have high expectations. There's no guarantee that he doesn't hit on a big play, but I would not be expecting or starting personally. Anthony Richardson, his passing yard line is 177 yards.

[Andy Holloway]

The take that I was talking about was really more about the jets defense. Yeah, crumbling the DST seems like one that you definitely, you just gotta have and that is what I'm more concerned on. You know, I also buy what you're saying in the sense that I don't want to start Josh Downs, I don't want to start Adnai Mitchell or Alec Pierce. If Pittman is active, I don't want to start any of them.

[Mike Wright]

I'm fine with Downs in the flex, even with Richardson because I think he's good for, you know, five catches and he's a good player.

[Jason Moore]

Like I'd play him over Bateman for what it's worth.

I am. I mean, I'm not expecting big things, but he has.

What would you estimate he would be able to put up?

I mean, I think he can get to Jason's threshold of 10 points. I think he can get there.

I think the only way he can get to 10 points is a touchdown. So this is a guy who's constantly referred to as the first and second down back. I don't think he's going to get past catching work.

And so against the top half rush defense for a team that, you know, they're usually a little bit more slog and dog their defense, you know, they're not, I don't know. I just roll with it. That's new.

Yeah, I would as well. The Broncos defense has just been outstanding. I think they're especially the past game. I worry a little bit about Drake London on the other side of the ball. I usually when I see like the you've got a sauce Gardener or a Patrick Certain or you know, Legerious Snead, you've got one of these guys, it's like taken out the one. You look for the two in those games a lot of times. Pretty sad that right now Mooney looks a little banged up with an Achilles limited participant on Thursday because you know, I might be excited for him to be really necessary in this game.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah. And you got to remember the Broncos defense number one in the NFL against wide receivers. You can look at last six weeks where it softened a bit but they missed certain for two of those weeks. The default defense for the Broncos, very good against the pass. A good defense in general you're going to look at to be John to kind of be your table setter for this offense in this game. And it's not surprising to me that the Broncos are favored at home. It should be a good game. Kyle Pitts.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, Kyle Pitts or one of the the waiver type guys like Johnny. Okay. And if we somehow get information that the T. Higgins Hill narrative is incorrect this week, would you go back to Sticky Kasiki or would you play Kyle Pitts?

[Andy Holloway]

I would go with Kosicki. I think that. I know it didn't come through for a. But his snaps, his routes, even his targets, they were all there. It just wasn't down the field stuff as much as you wanted. And he didn't get a touchdown. But the opportunity is certainly there.

Yeah. One in five. One and five in their last six games. After starting the year with three straight wins over not good teams. A rookie quarterback, Jacoby Brissette and then not tua. So Seattle might have been one of the pumpkin teams of the year. It's concerning a little bit on. In terms of just, you know, their defense is very problematic. It could hurt Kenneth Walker's opportunities to run the football as the game goes on. I'm not saying you're benching him. I'm just saying.

But he's. But he's catching passes. The last time they played San Francisco, eight catches.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah.

For Ken Bone it's the. Seattle is actually if you're not a Seahawks fan, they're fantastic. Like this is what we want. We want a team that can be a really high powered offense. We like pretty much everyone in this offense and I know that their defense is going to give up a bunch of points.

Yeah, they're. They're falling apart. They started the season looking really good. Their defense was. Was tough. They had some easier matchups but they are really falling apart. I don't know the situation and the details but four days ago they, you guys know, they cut. They straight up cut their leading tackler on defense, the guy with the most tackles on their defense. They just cut him. And I don't know any of the details there because he was too productive. He was like, you're, you know, you're.

Trying to get fantasy points here.

So it's great for fantasy, but a wild storyline.

And DK Metcalf is back. Like, he's practicing in full. That's a really big deal for the offense.

Yeah. I mean, on the course of the season, the 49ers have been very difficult to throw on. But DK Metcalf, you know, he's. He's got experience. Against San Francisco, being a divisional opponent. I think DK is actually a pretty good play this week.

The. Oh, man, that was the 11 target game where he only had three catches for 48, where it was like he just kept missing.

Yeah, he's gone. Cook and Shakir are both dink and dunk options in the passing game. That's my biggest concern with. Are you both taking scoring enough points? Yeah, I think the Chiefs, I think it's close. I don't think they're going to demolish them, but I think it'll be close and you know, it'll be a tough place to go in and play. The Bills have found a way to win. I definitely think they can win the ball game and you know, this is not the game. This is not the Bills Chiefs matchup of days of old with Tyreek and Diggs and. And the high flying high scoring affair. The over unders 46 is fine.

How do you feel about. How do you feel about Hopkins? So his reception line right now is at four and a half. But which. It's a tiny. It's a small but. But juju Smith Schuster is practicing in full. I knew he should be back.

I knew for sure that Hopkins was going to take a step back from the previous week in terms of targets and production. You know, how do I feel about him? Not great. I mean wide receiver, two, three range to me.

Yeah. I mean I would take the over on four and a half receptions. You know, towards the end of this game it's going to become Mahomes versus Allen and the defenses I think will start the game strong and the quarterbacks will finish the game strong. That's often how it happens with, with these type of players. You know, Mahomes passing lines at one and a half touchdowns. I mean your start of the week. Mike Kareem Hunt. I love this week. I think that the place that you do beat the Bills is on the ground and Hunt has just been his fewest since, you know, his first week in action. He didn't even hit 50% of snaps. If you take that one out, he hasn't had fewer than 22 opportunities in a single game. He's, he's a great play in this matchup.

He's Mike's start of the week. Patrick Mahomes has a touchdown prop of one and a half. You know him getting more weapons back is good. Kelsey is certainly a start and been playing well.

It would obviously be very good for like Jamar Chase went wild last week, but his numbers with and without Higgins over time it's always better when Higgins is back. I hope Higgins plays because the, you know, the Chargers are a good defense and you need more weapons to kind of allow them to have to pick their poison. So I love the opportunity for Higgins. If he's in there as a wide receiver too, I hope he's back. Chase Brown, his rushing lines at 62 and a half. He's been a beast. RB5 since week four. What decisions do you have to make on that side? Is it get sicky? Is it Higgins? Are those the two big ones?

[Jason Moore]

Yeah. For Cincinnati. McBurrow is in. He's just. He's playing too well. Obviously Chase is in or both. I'll say both Chases are in and it's then T. Higgins, if T plays, I'm going to play him. It's sketchy. Hopefully we'll know before Sunday night or Sunday morning. I should say that for sure T. Higgins is projected to play, but if he is out, then I'll go back to Mike Kasicki. It didn't work. The production went to. What was it? Tanner Hudson, but the targets were still there. It was nine targets. And if you're going to give a tight end nine targets, I'm going to. I'm going to bet on that more than not.

You know, I've. I've got the Bengals winning despite being the road underdogs. But I am, I'm in love with this game. I was very sad. You want this game, I want this game. I was very sad that this was Sunday Night Football. Great for watching it. But from creating our DK lineup, I wanted players in this game. I think, you know, over the course of the season I've brought it up. The Chargers are the type of team that hits the under over and over and over or under and under and under, whichever way you want to look at it. This game with the way that Joe Burrow has been playing, I don't think the Chargers are going to be able to impose their slow it down will against the Bengals. I think they're letting Herbert throw the ball more.

Are they going to get pulled into a high pace game?

[Andy Holloway]

That's what I'm saying. I think they're going to get pulled into a higher pace game. That's how I project this matchup. That means I really want a lot of the pieces here. It's hard to take an over of 48 for a Chargers game. That just hasn't been how they're playing football. But I. Some image just is like I think it happens, you know, Gus Edwards I think has a good chance at a touchdown. If you're. If you're in one of those bi week injury areas where you're looking for a, you know, every week there's a team or two that needs a waiver running back that you have to start. Gus Edwards would be my pick this week.

No, I haven't.

So JK Dobbins. It's just something to monitor. We don't know what happened, but he didn't practice on Thursday. Listed as personal. So I mean you don't expect it's injury but you've got to pay attention to it. We also just got an update here from Zach Taylor. Coach Taylor saying he expects T. Higgins to play. They'll say, and they said we'll see about Orlando Brown Jr. Yeah, this one.

[Mike Wright]

Is, you know, I like Herbert having the opportunity against the Cincinnati defense that's been really, really bad against quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends. My only worry is that if the Chargers defense has, you know, they're at home and if they have their kind of game and they are able to slow down what Cincinnati does best, then we could be disappointed with the outcome. The over under is 48, but they're number three against running backs. They're number three against tight ends. Yeah, I mean I love how Burrow's playing though.

[Andy Holloway]

The last. Their defense has just been so good. They gave up the last week. The chargers gave up 17 points the week before, 10 points the week before, eight points. Those are phenomenal. However, you have to take it with a grain of salt. The matchups were the New Orleans Saints.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah. With nobody.

[Andy Holloway]

The Cleveland Browns, you know, with Jameis playing Jameis ball that week, and then the Tennessee Titans. So I don't think they've really been.

[Jason Moore]

Tested the way that Joe Burrows at the beginning.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, Joe Burrow is going to come in here. However, their offense has been getting it going. Their offense, you know, they've scored 27 points two weeks in a row, 26 before that. A huge being back I think really helps them. The fact that Huge was gone, got Will Disley more involved in the passing. I just, I really like this game.

[Mike Wright]

The hardest part is that McConkey is like, even if the offense is getting going, because of the nature of his role in this offense, if he doesn't score a touchdown, I think you get really disappointed. I mean, the last five games you've been thrilled. You were thrilled. In week eight, he was number two wide receiver, showed what he was capable of. Two touchdowns, 111 yards. But he was also a good part of the offense. The weeks surrounding it where he was the wide receiver, 36 and 37, still seven targets, didn't get into the end zone. Kind of doing the PPR thing.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah. On average right now he's averaging four receptions and 55 yards. That's not. That's just not going to be a happy game. So you need the touchdowns which have come. He's. He's been looked to around the goal line. And I think for that reason, and with a higher over under, you can play him here. But I do agree, if you don't get a touchdown, I don't think you're going to be happy with lad.

[Mike Wright]

I want a happy game. You know what I mean? We all want happy games.

[Jason Moore]

Yes.

[Andy Holloway]

Who would you start between LAD and Quentin Johnson?

[Mike Wright]

I'd start Quentin.

[Andy Holloway]

I'm always going to make that choice because I just think we know the big plays and the touchdowns are both in the cards for Quinton.

Yeah, those are more likely. I mean, Quentin Johnston's types of targets are farther down the field. Lad, McConkey, a lot of those are the short move the sticks type of throws that are important but not great.

[Mike Wright]

Now, Kyle says that this episode today is teaching him that you have very, very high standards for fantasy. The 4 for 55, you're not. You're thinking that's, that's not a happy game.

Plus then you just juice it up with maybe four receptions for, you know, 15 to 25 yards. And you're, you're okay with that, but it's going to be tough.

The one thing I do love that we saw last week was that he had three targets, three receptions because we weren't sure Rico had been involved in the passing game. And so that had been great. But now with the backup quarterback coming in, you're not sure if they're going to check it down or not. Rico only played 52% of the snaps, still had the three receptions. So I, you know, he's fine. He is fine.

He's fine. He. He's an every down player on the team. You don't want to watch right now. CJ Stroud on the year. Do you know what he is in points per game? Because I got that number for you.
