Cannot be lazy. All right, let's get right to it. I want to get into injury updates. There are a lot of situations this week that you know will determine starters, you know, Todd Gurley and a number of players. So let's get right into it, see what we think is going to happen.

Are you in or out?

[Jason Moore]

All right, let's start with some of the running backs because there are a bunch of decisions, bunch of players popping up on the injury report. Todd Gurley. Todd Gurley plays at 405 Eastern.

[Andy Holloway]

Oh, that stinks.

[Jason Moore]

Speaking Thursday, Gurley says he has yet to run this week, but is still optimistic he will be ready for the game against the Cardinals. Is this a smokescreen? Are we going to.

[Mike Wright]

That's how I live my life, man. You're like, no, I haven't done any running.

[Jason Moore]

That's the.

[Mike Wright]

I'm hopeful that I'll be able to run professionally.

[Jason Moore]

I could do it. Yeah, that's. Once you get past a certain age, you just pretty much say, yeah, if I wanted to be really good at this, I could choose not to run. I choose not to run. Look, this sucks though.

Big time. He hasn't practiced all week. Today is huge. If he does not practice on Friday, you better plan to be without Todd Gurley.

Here's the problem. The 405.

I think I'll be fine, man. That's what Gurley said.

The 405 game is the problem because you need to be prepared and there are only a few games afterwards where you might have a player that you can pivot to. Otherwise, if you're not sure, I mean, there is no clear backup, Right. Maybe it's John Kelly, maybe it's C.J. anderson. It's going to probably be one of those two guys. If Todd Gurley's out of the way.

[Jason Moore]

It'S going to be both of those guys, right? That's the real answer.

[Andy Holloway]

So the question is, do you play a guy earlier? Do you play a guy that you have on your roster in a morning game because you don't know the fate of Todd Gurley, if that's the situation where he becomes a game time decision? Or is Todd Gurley's upside so much that in championship week you grab a C.J. anderson or John Kelly and you just roll the dice, hoping and praying that Todd Gurley's out there. What would you do if you're in that position?

[Jason Moore]

I would not play somebody ahead of Gurley unless I had a reason to. Like, if we think he's going to play, I would have to put somebody on my roster, whether it's one of his backups or somebody playing later.

[Mike Wright]

I'm looking at the schedule right now.

[Jason Moore]

Myself, the option, the MO More often.

[Mike Wright]

Than not, you are probably looking at a backup for Todd Gurley because the other games available, they're playing against Arizona. David Johnson's out. Are you going to roll with chase Edmonds? Chicago vs San Francisco? None of those guys are available unless you're playing. My name is Jeff Wilson.

Is it possible that breed is out there in some league?

[Mike Wright]

I give that a 2% chance. New Orleans playing Pittsburgh. None of those guys are available. Kansas City, Seattle. Maybe you scooped up Damian Williams. Somehow you are lucky enough to be the top.

Yeah. Mike Davis.

Yeah.

If Rashad Penny misses, Mike Davis could get some work. That could be a pivot.

And Oakland on Monday with Jalen Richard. Those would be the names, I think. Mike Davis and Jalen Rashad.

But that, that literally, it scares me to death hearing all those names.

And that's why you do you pivot in the morning and just take the, take the point.

You start texting Sean McVeigh right now, that's what you do. I mean, I. Hopefully we have more information. And like you said, it's more about today's practice report, right? It's more about whether. Because if he, if he doesn't practice today. I would have almost no confidence that they're going to risk him in this game.

[Andy Holloway]

Not exact. They shouldn't risk him. If I was McVeigh, I would not play Todd Gurley in this game against Arizona. A very winnable game without, I don't know, take like four of your players out. Very winnable.

[Mike Wright]

Be prepared for him to miss Friday practice and then saying Todd Gurley is now a game time decision.

[Jason Moore]

All right. Joe Mixon, and that sucks. Yeah, it does. Joe Mixon showed up limited on Thursday with a wrist and a thigh injury. Any concerns about Joe Mixon? He's been popping up pretty frequently on the injury report and still playing through it. Yeah, it's not hurt anything.

[Andy Holloway]

It's not uncommon. The only thing that scares you at all is that there's a new injury. If it was just the wrist, that's one thing. But now there's a new injury with the thigh and that's always just scary because if it's a legit new injury and not just something written there for we're giving him rest, then you're worried. But I think you have to play him this week, even on the road in Cleveland.

[Jason Moore]

Lamar Miller, ankle injury, limited practices in or out?

[Mike Wright]

I'm going to say in. If he's getting limited practice, I believe.

[Andy Holloway]

He'Ll be in as well.

Spencer Ware, hamstring limited. What's going to happen with Spencer Ware this week, guys? See the future.

[Andy Holloway]

I'm going to say he's out.

[Mike Wright]

As will I. I understand we just said Lamar is going to play because he's limited. But this is different. Spencer Ware missed the game because of the hamstring. Look back to like Kiki over the, over the season, guys that have a hamstring problem and they miss games, yes, they get some limited work in, but then they end up missing Sunday night game.

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, I was just gonna say no.

[Mike Wright]

Matt Burrito with the ankle. I think he's gonna play Jamal Williams with the toe. Here's. We didn't talk enough about the. We talked about Jamal Williams and being injured, but we didn't talk about the inverse situation where if he's healthy and active, he's supposed to be a humongous part of the game plan. So do you expect him to be active? And if so, let's. What do we tell fantasy owners?

[Andy Holloway]

Yeah, I fully expect him to be active. Fillman is saying he's going to be a huge part of the game plan. They don't really have another option. They literally scooped up Capri Bibs off the waivers and that's the only backup. A guy who hasn't even been on the team. So I think Williams is a great start. I've got him just outside my top 12 this week and I expect him to play.

All right. Austin Eckler?

[Mike Wright]

Doubtful. He's not going to play.

Yeah, he's out.

Keenan Allen, man, I can't imagine.

[Andy Holloway]

He's not on the field. I really can't. They say it's a game time decision, which makes complete sense. But he has been practicing in limited fashion. It's a pain issue. It's not a re aggravation of an injury issue. So even if he goes out there and, you know, turns out he can't play, he's not putting himself at risk. So I think he'll be active for that game. It certainly lowers, you know, his floor. His floor could be another zero. If he gets out there is active. You put him in your lineup, but I still think you're going to roll with them, right? Like you'd put him in your lineup if he's active, right?

I would, yes.

But the truth is, I think you'd see a lot of Ryan Switzer mixed in. You'd see a lot of Eli Rogers mixed in. Vance McDonald becomes more relevant. Like, I think I'd move Vance McDonald up. The most agreed of any peripheral piece. So if juju's out, pay attention to that. If you're pivoting to a tight end.

All the hype and the juice goes to Cortland Sutton and today Sean Hamilton because they're rookies and they have all this endless potential. But I asked the question on last week's show. Is Tim Patrick the best wide receiver on the team? And does he need to be thought about for fantasy football purposes? Because he's pretty good.

And then the thing is, is, you know, the quarterback, Mr. Keenum, likes to target him. Last week, nine points. The week before, 12 points, seven catches. Five catches. I think that. I mean, I would. I'd feel a lot safer playing him than I would Cortland Sutton.

Yeah. Oh, I would. I would feel safer playing either Tim Patrick or Daeshun Hamilton than Cortland Sutton dealing with the quad injury.

Because Sutton could give you nothing.

They have to take on the Colts who are playing extremely well. And what are we expecting from this game storyline wise? I mean, what decisions are you guys focusing on for fantasy owners? The worry for me, there's two games that I just. I'm a little. I'm a little worried about Baker and I'm a little worried about Andrew Luck. I love both this week. They're high in my rankings. I think the matchups are great. The talent is there, the weapons are there. I just worry, are they going to be able to run the ball so easily that the quarterbacks just won't need to? Because we've seen it.

Because it's all about touchdowns for the quarterback. So if you can run the ball very well, your likelihood of scoring just goes up.

If you look at the last four weeks, which happened to be the four weeks since the bye week when Josh Allen came back, he's the quarterback four, the quarterback two, the quarterback 15, and then the quarterback four. His worst performance. Now, the matchups haven't been that difficult. One of them was Jacksonville, where he was the number four. But he's been really, really, really solid. And if you compare that against Brady lately, during the same stretch, yes, against Miami, he was the number one quarterback.

So him and Tyree Kill and Hopkins and Julio and Odell Beckham that it's kind of all merging into one tier.

Hopkins and Julio are the only two guys right now that I would consider over Adams.

Not Hill. No, not Tyreek.

He's just, he, he's amazing, but he's just. He has those. Those games where he does flop. Even though he'll. He'll finish ahead of Adams on the year, most likely. Adams is just consistent.

What's amazing about Adams is if they had an offense that was anywhere in the realm of good right I mean what kind of season does he put up? Does he put up a 16 touchdown year, a 20 touchdown year? He is just everything to that offense.

[Andy Holloway]

And he did it with Brett Hundley, don't forget. You know when, when, when Aaron Rodgers went down and you just. And that whole offense was trash. Devonte Adams had double digit touchdowns.

All right. Last week by the way, Jamal Williams had 97 and a touchdown on 87% of snaps. Jamal. And in battle of the Williams. Here's a common start sit question for the week. Jamal Williams or Damian Williams? I'm definitely Spencer Ware out.

I would still start Lamar Miller if he's in the game. Even coming off of the ankle injury. I don't think it was a very serious injury. You might temper expectations, but I would.

Start Lamar and Bill O'Brien is expecting Lamar to play, so I would. I'd play him. The defense is rough for Philadelphia. I mean, Hopkins is. If Hopkins is not a top five wide receiver this week, it'll be shocking.

I remember talking about that in that year where Todd Gurley finished 17 at running back and it was really just an offensive line issue. So the offensive line is not fixed for Arizona. If anything, it's worse and worse every single week. They are continuing to lose offensive linemen, so the expectation can't be too high with David Johnson. But future outlook.

I know Robinson has been floundering, but I think he can have a solid game and just scoring opportunities means that I will actually play Jordan Howard. I play Cohen over him still, but I'm still. But I'LL play Howard.

Yeah, I think you can play both backs. Brooks and I have them going head to head against each other, but Howard has. I mean, the last few games you've seen, when they are winning the games, they are going to Howard a ton. He's on pace for like 288 carries through that stretch, which would be exactly what you dream for from a guy like Jordan Howard. And I expect them to be up in this game.

I don't. I completely disagree with that. Yeah, I don't. I agree with the statistics on when they're up and the touches they get. I don't expect them to be. No.

And so I think you're going to see more Cohen. I'd be a lot more confident with Cohen, unfortunately for you.

I would play Alan Robinson over Pettis in this game.

He's averaging. He's fourth in passing yards per attempt since taking over. That's 8.6 per attend, 33rd in average depth of target. So you're getting a ton of the. The kiddo run after the cat, but he's doing. He's a gritty dude.

If I love Nick Mullen, the Bears, you beat them at wide receiver because they, they're really good against the run.

What's going to happen? I think we're all expecting James. Jalen Samuels. Okay, let's get that out correctly. Jalen Samuels to be the running back of choice in this game. Look, if the Saints win, they'd move to 13 and 2. They'd guarantee them the number one seed in the NFC. They'd. The road to the super bowl would go through New Orleans, which is exactly what you need, the road. Drew Brees is not the Drew Brees I want in the playoffs. If the Chargers. Listen to this. This is a Steelers situation. If the Chargers beat the Ravens, the Steelers can clinch a division title by beating the Saints. So there's a lot on the line here. Where are you guys looking for fantasy answers? Because Michael Thomas, you're playing Drew Brees, you're playing Alvin Camara, you're playing Big Ben.

They're not too shabby. But I think Drew Brees at home in a game where if they win, they clinch everything, that's all they can do this entire season. I think Drew Brees balls out here and My worry really is more so with the Steelers because one thing that has not gotten enough attention recently is how good the Saints defense has been. The Saints defense, look, I mean, I think. Well, it was past 2000 the last time that the Saints one with as few points as they had last week. Their defense is shutting everyone down. And they are, over the last six weeks, the number one against running backs, and that's including really good running backs. They played Zeke in that stretch. They played Christian McCaffrey in that stretch. They shut everyone down. So Jalen Samuels, I mean, okay, he catches the ball great. He'll be okay. But this whole Steelers offense scares me a little bit because the Saints are going to be up for this game at home.

It's. It's kind of. It's difficult to ascertain the running back situation because even though you're telling me that they're number one in the. Over the last four weeks, Ezekiel scored 25 fantasy points against them. Christian McCaffrey scored 27 fantasy points against him. So if you are a dual threat running back, yeah, maybe they're stopping the running back in terms of, you know, total team. Total team effect. But those two players did it. And if Jalen Samuels looks anything like he did last week, I think he's at least a safe RB2. Mike, you are you. You clearly have strong opinions about Drew Brees in this game. Just Vegas has them as a six point favorite with the 53 point over under. I think that's where you're seeing the fantasy excitement on our end. What his concerns translate to. I mean, are you playing Big Ben in this exact same game over to Breeze?

With his foot healed, he's had extra time as well. I really like Tyreek Hill.

That was going to be. My point is, I mean, we didn't even. You weren't even sure he was going to play last week, and now he's had extra time off So I think he's right back to where you what you're expecting from Tyreek.

Russell Wilson should be put in a position to have to throw the football in this game a little bit more. You'd think Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett. Jason, you brought up Doug Baldwin. I really like that insight at this point in the season because I think he's a forgotten man. And look, if you want to win at fantasy football, you want an opportunity to surprise a great team, maybe you're facing, maybe you're an underdog. You cannot look to the previous 15 weeks and just, you know, use that as your template. You do need to independently look at this week and the opportunities that present themselves. And look, Doug Baldwin, he's a bad taste player this year. Yeah, it's not a good feeling. But if there's an opportunity there, which I think there is, you know, we've got him back to back right now in our ranks in terms of opportunity. So I think Baldwin, Lockett, they're both interesting.

[Mike Wright]

That defense is not good.

I got the Chiefs as well. I think the Seahawks, I think their season ends this week. By the way, if they do win, they are not guaranteed a playoff spot quite yet, but they need to win to keep going. The 6 and 8 Broncos take on the 3 and 11 Raiders. Raiders are at home. They're three point underdogs and it's a 43 and a half point over under. Look, it's been a little bit difficult for Philip Lindsay to get it going the last two weeks. Is he. By the way, congratulations to Philip Lindsay.

First undrafted running back to make the Pro bowl in history. So congratulations Philip Lindsey. But the otherworldly yards per carry has slowed in the last two weeks. Now, is this the salve that he needs? Facing an Oakland defense that is bad against the run, giving up 24 fantasy points a game. The two duds. But Philip Lindsay should get work.

Yeah, Philip Lindsay is a great play. He's. I feel like it's really one dud. Fantasy purposes. You were happy two weeks ago. This last week you weren't. He's. He's a must start type of guy. I mean, unless you've got four of the best running backs out there against Oakland. Philip Lindsay is fantastic.
