I think maybe Players are distracted. Christmas week, the preparation, I don't know.

You know, it was akin to what we saw from Houston's offense. I mean, Houston's offense scored fewer points than the Bears did. The Bears offense scored three. Houston's offense did nothing. And they looked very similar, by the way. It was called an unmitigated pass rush and offensive play calling and awareness by the quarterback that was drunk. I mean, I don't know what it was like. Can you call a play like you used to not be able to blitz good quarterbacks. It was like what they wanted you to do. Kurt Warner wanted you to blitz him. Drew Brees, blitz him. I dare you. All Chicago did all game long was throw screen passes really, really quickly to the outside where they had five defenders.

Well, don't forget the place where Kayla would hold the ball for 15 seconds and get sacked.

Towards the end of that game, I kept thinking, they're going to have one play, just one play where they block someone. Like that was. I was like, it's going to happen. Caleb's going to have someone blocked. And it was just every single play, the ball is there and so are the defenders.

So I. Look, I feel like we are doing a disservice to the show by uttering any more words about that game.

I was surprised they didn't keep feeding him the ball more and more and more, but he ends up 15 for 57. He did catch three passes, so fantasy wise, it's okay.

If you started Nico Collins or Joe Mixon, you sure as heck hoped your opponent had DK Metcalf or JSN or Keenan Allen. That was. That's the balance of this week. And we walked in and the first thing we said in the studio is like, like this was a rainy game. Like this was a weather game. It wasn't the worst we're going to see this weekend, but Jason read off about 45 teams that have weather games this week. And it's going to blow up some games this weekend that's going to happen. There are going to be Games where you're, you know, rolling your eyes into the back of your head because it should have been, could have been, would have been the game you expected. And it was nothing because it's raining or windy or things of that nature. So if you had the bad game, like if you want a glass half full it and you had Keenan or JSN or Metcalf, you are now scanning the weather reports for your opponent's players.

Let's begin with the tilt Fest that is the shutdown of CD Lamb. CD Lamb is being shut down for the rest of the season. It's the right move for CD Lamb. It's the wrong move for Michael Wright.

I think that was CD this is. This is the difference. And this is why I thought, you know, when we had the quote from John Gannon about, is Connor going to play? CD Lamb wants to play, but the Cowboys are actually doing what is best for the team and for CD Lamb, which is protecting himself from himself. He shouldn't be playing football for the NFL. It just stinks that it's championship week for a lot of people.

If I were CD Lamb and I knew they were going to shut me down, putting out a quote like, people pay to come and see me play, so I'm going to play, that's exactly what I would have done.

So many fundamental elements to these decisions. I mentioned the fact that, like the report we have this morning is that it's looking likely the Cardinals will have James Conner on Saturday night. For those wondering, yesterday you wanted to put me on the spot. What was I going to do? I needed more intel. As of right now, Connor's going to be in over McMillan. But part of the factor there is, well, he had a couple limited practices, seems to be doing well. The intricacies of the injuries and risk of RE injury is a factor for these teams like CD Lamb. At any moment, with an AC joint sprain, he falls on his shoulder all game long. You are risking a RE injury to a great degree. And for the Cardinals, they. They are in the position to play spoiler. They can disrupt the Rams making the playoffs, a divisional matchup. And so, you know, there's things that we don't know. We don't know the severity of Connor's RE injury risk, but all that stuff swirls around to these decisions. We'll know more and I'm going to stay water. That's an expression we use all the time. I'm not going to lock in my take here on a Friday morning. If I get new information. Yeah, if I get new information Tomorrow it'll be McMillan on Sunday morning, but as of right now, that's what I'm going to do.

I would have, speaking of the Cowboys, I would have shut him down like a must. Every time he goes down on that shoulder and gets up and you just, you're like, this man is in an immense amount of pain. No franchise face. CD Lamb. No, we're not going to do this to you.

So, yeah, unfortunately, he will not be helping you win a title.

Yeah, but Gus being out gives me it. Should Dobbins be active? Like Gus Edwards is the only, only competition to J.K. dobbins on this team. And J.K. dobbins, at least what we saw for the majority of the year was, is a much better player at this point. Like Vidal Sassoon is not a real threat.

It's worth saying this show isn't going anywhere just because championship week is over. Like we'll be here for the most painful week of the season, week 18, where all we're doing is talking about guys getting sat down because there will be a lot of them. But then we're here beyond. You know, this show is a year round fantasy football podcast and we have a lot of fun in the off season. We get to reflect on the reality, the truth of the season. We get to begin projecting so soon. I'm already watching college film, watching college tight ends see what the next number one overall tight end will be this upcoming year. We're going to do it twice. I mean, two times. Alvin Camara did not practice, although not ruled out for the Saints. Camara, Connor. Pride, man, pride. And being there for your team.

Is this. Does this mean that like we have. I haven't seen any report on Derek Carr, but like if, if Olave's practicing and Camara is trying to make a.

Yeah, I think he is very questionable. Like if you've got neighbors, you need to be prepared to pivot because I, you know, as of right now, I was looking at him in certain lineups, I'm like, no, I'm not putting him in.

You need to have a pivot that works with the game time of your player this week because we've got games all over the place. So what time is the Neighbors game? Is that a Sunday?

[Mike Wright]

I'll look that up.

Yeah, Giants, 1:00pm Eastern on Sunday. So if you have a bench pivot and they play on Saturday in the three Saturday games, that's not going to work. You're either going to have to make the call on Saturday and not play.

It's worth, it's worth mentioning if you're going to not play a player who plays on Saturday. If you're not going to play them, depending on your league platforms. Cut them, cut them, cut them. They won't be available for waivers. No one can pick them up. You don't need them next week. If this is your championship, give yourself the roster spot so that if you need to add someone, you don't even have to pick someone else up. Just cut him if you're not going to play them on Saturday.

And we are, we're getting into it. Dallas 7 and 8, Philly 12 and 3. Philly 7 point favorites over unders 38. This is a game that Vegas expects Philly to win on defense, which they should be able to do with no CD lamb. And Dallas has a 15.8 point implied point total. That's the lowest I've seen this year. I think.

Yeah, I think there was one that was lower. But yeah, in the 15s is not a normal thing on a weekly basis at all. This makes it really hard to me to have confidence in Rico Dowdle.

Rico, I mean he's got a DK rushing line of 58 and a half yards which isn't under.

I think so as well. You've got a bad week last week and without CD Lamb against a really good Philly defense. And this is going to be a conservative team probably offensively a little bit because I don't expect to have Jalen Hertz there low scoring game. It means that the only, really the only player you're even considering on the Cowboys side is Rico. And if they're not scoring points against a good defense, I don't want to play them.

I'd have to under in the total points.

I'd go, I think I'd go Cook.

Yeah. Brandon Cooks if you have to, but I think there's better pivot options out there. As far as Ferguson, maybe he has an uptick. He had nine targets last week and you'd be like, oh great. But since he's been back from injury. I mean 30 yards, 20 yards last week on those nine targets, 40 yards, like there's not much there on the other side.

It's hard to be as confident with AJ Brown and Devonte Smith if it's Kenny Pickett in a game that might be, like you said, a more conservative offense utilizing Kenneth Gainwell. Saquon heading towards the record. I mean he's 268 rushing yards away. Just imagine if he puts up another 150 in this game and what you're looking at going into the final week of the season with maybe not as much on the line and yet that record right there.

[Mike Wright]

The motivation for Saquon going after that record is like I expect them to really, really, really, really rely on the run game and be opening things up for him this week. So 110 and a half rushing yard line. I think he. Obviously you're starting Saquon, but I believe you could be really confident in his end of game superiority this week. He should be a top five back.

[Jason Moore]

Moving on to Carolina 4 and 11 against the 8 and 7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are fighting for their lives. The draft king sportsbook line. Tampa -8. They're at home. The over unders 48 and a half. This is another game where we're going to see some weather and you know, anything from scattered showers to some wind gusts, I think this is one you're going to need to track a little bit. My biggest concern here, like I've been pretty pro McMillan in the early part of this week. I still think he's going to have the opportunity. But I mean you've got two starts of the week at the running back position right here in the show and Mike and I went with Buck Yerving and Rashad White because the Carolina running defense is, I mean it should be in quotes. It should be in quotes. And this is a game where I think, you know, that motivation difference, the fact Tampa is fighting for their lives, that the front seven the opportunity to push guys around that are pushed, you know, you can easily push them around in Carolina. I think Bucky Irving, he's got a rush receiving line of 98 and a half.

And I think those guys are going to be the dominators in this one. I, I'm becoming more hesitant about Baker having a big game. I think I'll have a good game. Where are you guys at with this matchup and all of the pieces involved?

[Mike Wright]

This is one of the game. I'm like really, really hopeful that the wind isn't very bad here. This should be a little bit of rain, but I want the pieces in this game. I think Thielen on one side should have to keep up with a very, very bad secondary for the Bucks. Vita Vea has made it very difficult to run on them and you can throw on them. So I think Adam Thielen's a great play. Bucky, Rashad White, Mike Evans is so close to his thousand yards.

[Andy Holloway]

He needs 182 yards.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, so he needs 182 yards. He's going to be force fed the ball. I really, I really, really like almost everybody. The only concerning play. I mean Bryce Young and super flex. I think you could put him in.

[Jason Moore]

Chuba is a little unbelievable last week.

[Mike Wright]

Yeah, I mean he was so good. But over the last six weeks you've seen Tampa really shut down the running game.

[Jason Moore]

Yeah, I don't want to throw too much cold water on that offense. Tampa's got an implied point total of 28. So McMillan, Evans, White, Irving, Baker, all in play and I think the weather. I think the weather is going to be okay. I don't want to overstate it.

Practiced this week, Sterling shepherd has not practiced.

You look at the record, you got New England 3 and 12, Jacksonville 3 and 12. Tennessee 3 and 12, Cleveland 3 and 12, Vegas 3 and 12. You're going to. You have the chance to go from like the second to the like out of eighth.

Yeah. I mean it's, it's a. Like these teams should be trying to tie or something. But. But they won't. They won't. And so who do you think is just like last week we said with the Raiders game, similar situation. It was which team is worst coached. That's who's going to win. Raiders one. So is this Jacksonville? Jacksonville wins this one.

Well, I think maybe Tampa's or Tennessee is soft on defense. Maybe. You know, I think I have more trust that Mac Jones is going to air it out and I think Mason Rudolph is going to play conservatively. The over under is low. I think it's a three point game and I don't know who wins and whoever wins loses. So ETN his rushing line is 38 and a half.

Pollard did and then played, but played, you know, a minority of the snaps. Seated a ton of work to Pollard who, you know, is used both around the goal line and in the passing game. So in this matchup against Jacksonville, I think Spears is an okay play.

Miami 7 and 8 taking on the 3 and 12 Cleveland Browns another over, under under 40. Miami 6 and a half point road favorites. Heavy rain is in the forecast. Miami needs to stay alive. They've got to win. They have a slim chance, but they could do it. But if LA and Denver wins on Saturday, they're toast and both of them play on Saturday. So there's that Miami Tua H.N. tyreek, Johnny Smith, any hesitation with those core four?

[Andy Holloway]

No hesitation for John who Tyreek is just. It's. It will be interesting to get actual information at the end of the season of like what happened. How do you go from Tyreek of last year where wasn't he chasing the record?

He's gone from 7.8 yards per attempt to 4.2 which is still really good but yeah not having the long plays like last year. On the other side Dorian Thompson Robinson could be him. He's been limited. Could be Bailey Zappi could be a combo.

I love that this game is in a Dome and has a 48 point over under on this week. This is the game that I want. Now, I do worry a little bit because you have two good defenses here and it's a divisional game. So does this turn into one of those really disappointing defensive slugfests? It could. But I also look at this game as one of the few games on the slate this week where it's like you could get a back and forth offensive output without worry about rain. And you know, even if the first half starts slow, once teams start scoring and the other one has to catch up, these are two teams that generally do, you know, if the Vikings are down, they're generally going to air it out and catch up. And same for the packers while the.

Vikings stop the run too. I like Jordan Love in this game. I think Jordan Love has a great opportunity to kind of put it all on display here. This is a game they need him to do that. Jaden Reed in the mix then if you want to hit the nitro boost, you want to shot as an underdog. It's not. Your shot's probably not Adam Thielen.

It's probably somebody like Jaden Reed or Don Tavian Wicks. Christian Watson has not been practicing this week. Don Tavian Wicks. The matchup against Minnesota, the deep passing on that secondary when you can't run on them is great. So that's my dart throw of the week for if you need a guy off of waivers that you could throw into your lineup. You know, if he was available instead of my Jerry Judy, I would, I would 100% put Dontavian wicks in over Jerry Judy.
