Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast coming to you from Draft.com Studios with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore and Mike Wright.
Andy Holloway
Oh, let's do a show about waivers.
Mike Wright
Waivers.
Andy Holloway
How's everybody doing today? Great.
Jason Moore
Oh, I'm doing fantastic. Speaking of waivers, Jason waved his right to victory.
Andy Holloway
Oh, my goodness.
Jason Moore
Last night.
Andy Holloway
Tilt watch.
Mike Wright
It's not going great. My. My awesome core of David Johnson, Dalvin Cook and Devonta Freeman is crumbling.
Andy Holloway
Oh, and I'm still.
Mike Wright
I'm still going to be fine.
Jason Moore
The 0rbers are laughing in your face right now.
Mike Wright
Oh, come on. Michael Thomas, Kenan Allen. Fine. Coming for the rest of the.
Jason Moore
Unfortunately for Jason, the Russell Wilson ultimate Garbage time touchdown to Big Montana, Will Disley. Oh, it did not win Jason the week. I put up a thread on Twitter where people were jumping in, sharing their stories of. Of how they snatched victory from the.
Andy Holloway
Jaws of defeat with the garbage time touchdown.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Oh, no doubt. I knew that was a problem for people. I mean, ridiculous. Yes, Disley came through. If you started Disney, like if you are the reactionary signer of Disney and started images, you got bailed out. You got bailed.
Mike Wright
You got lucky.
Andy Holloway
You know, I'll say this, we like to make fun of Montana strong, but he's pretty, he's pretty good, dude.
Jason Moore
He got wide open. He's got some speed because he's Big Montana. Yeah, he's rest. The moose was loose.
Andy Holloway
Wow.
Mike Wright
I've been telling you guys though, and I'm sticking to my guns on this, okay? When Ed Dixon gets back, he's going to be a very fantasy relevant titan. He is going to take. I mean, Will Disley is Not taking the spot from the long term, tens of millions of dollars guaranteed contract.
Jason Moore
When Ed Dixon comes back, it's, it's the Baltimore Ravens is. It's going to be Vinette and Dixon. It's not going to be just one of them.
Andy Holloway
I agree with you. I agree with you. All right. Huge jam packed show today. Not only do we have the full waiver breakdown for week three, but we've got quarterback streamers on the show today. And we'll talk about last night's game. I have a couple of announcements, then a quick question because there was some big news yesterday. First of all, we have a Reddit AMA.
Mike Wright
Our first one ever.
Andy Holloway
Yes, the Reddit AMA coming Wednesday, September 19th.
Jason Moore
That's tomorrow.
Andy Holloway
That's tomorrow at 3 Eastern.
Jason Moore
Correct.
Andy Holloway
Anything else they need to know about that, Mike?
Jason Moore
It will be our first AMA on Reddit, so shout out to my Redditors. Also, be gentle, Reddit, it's an intimidating place for us old fellas.
Andy Holloway
Ask me anything. So, I mean, get on there, ask questions.
Mike Wright
Whatever you want.
Andy Holloway
Whatever you want. Follow us on YouTube.
Jason Moore
Thought it was all my apples.
Andy Holloway
No. Nope, not all my apples.
Jason Moore
I've made a mistake.
Andy Holloway
Nope. YouTube.com the fantasy footballers Twitter @ the ffballers. The website's the fantasy footballers.com working on our week three rankings. Tomorrow at noon is when they come out and that's when you can access the start sit tool and you'll get, you'll get a head start on week three. Just, you know, I took a little glance at my two and oh league of record team.
Jason Moore
Oh, congratulations.
Andy Holloway
Thanks. How's yours doing?
Jason Moore
2 and oh, okay.
Andy Holloway
I just had to laugh though because I'm looking at my lineup for this week and it's very likely that the names Lindsay, Kittle and Galladay are in there. Fantasy football, this is why you stick with the show all year long. As things change week after week, Jason will have to, you know, he'll have to work through some of the injuries on his roster and make decisions that will inform and help you as a listener.
Mike Wright
Absolutely no different than every fantasy player out there. I mean, you don't win the championship at your draft. You win it based on waiver wire, start sit decisions, trades, those things. So we'll guide you through it.
Andy Holloway
All right, I need your fantasy reactions because our quick question is going to be Josh Gordon related. Josh Gordon traded to the New England Patriots.
Jason Moore
Stop helping the Patriots.
Andy Holloway
Patriots are sinning Cleveland.
Jason Moore
They don't need your help.
Andy Holloway
NFL 5th round pick Riculous here.
Jason Moore
Here's Josh Gordon for Free. Try it out, see if it works.
Andy Holloway
Free trial, seven day.
Jason Moore
Yeah, this is a free year trial. A fifth round pick.
Andy Holloway
Here's what I want to know.
Jason Moore
Come on.
Andy Holloway
I know that all the other teams in the NFL, they can't like the Patriots. They have to, right? They dislike the Patriots. So how much better was this offer than the other offers? I just don't like. Would you send him to the Patriots for a fifth versus like to the jets for a sixth?
Mike Wright
Is that that pick is probably pretty close, right? I mean, right. A late fifth, Patriots fifth and the jets sixth is probably within eight to 10 picks.
Andy Holloway
Corey Coleman was released in a corresponding move.
Jason Moore
Oh, how, how bad. How much does Corey Coleman dislike Josh Gordon?
Mike Wright
He's just kicking him off all sorts of teams.
Andy Holloway
So how do fantasy owners think about this? I mean, yesterday I said I traded Josh Gordon last week for an injured Doug Baldwin who should return soon.
Mike Wright
Ish.
Andy Holloway
Soonish. And did I make a mistake now?
Jason Moore
Right?
Mike Wright
I know my, my fantasy take on this. Obviously going to the Patriots, it elicits hope of Randy Moss. This is clearly the best physical, athletic wide receiver that he's had since Randy Moss. And so the upside is enormous, is tremendous. And the fact that the Browns basically traded him for nothing says that the cosmos will come together to make sure he has a good season. All that being said, if I am a Josh Gordon owner right now or it's a waiver day. Look, a lot of people probably dropped Josh Gordon when he was cut thinking it's suspension related. His career is over. So scour your waivers, make sure you can grab them if you can. I'm looking to trade Josh Gordon for the hype price because if you can trade him as a wide receiver one, then worst case scenario, if you get that value, you still got something back. And if he pops, maybe you'll be sad that you missed him, but if you, if you made a good trade, you got value out of that. But the. It has not materialized yet. He does not know the playbook. He hasn't been there yet. And with Josh Gordon there is inherent, inherent risk that at any moment in time, a misstep, things could go wrong. And so to me, if I could package like here's, here's a. I was driving in, I was thinking about like what would be a fair trade, that.
Jason Moore
Maybe that's what people want to know.
Mike Wright
Maybe you could pull off and would you do it? And so for me, the one guy that kept coming to mind was David Johnson. If you could pair Josh Gordon with.
Jason Moore
Something and you're buying David Johnson right now?
Mike Wright
Yes. For Josh. Are you telling me, I mean, who would you rather have? Josh Gordon. Tremendous upside, but it has to be a package.
Jason Moore
There's no way.
Mike Wright
Right.
Jason Moore
I take that back because I'm sure there's going to be some leagues where a one for one could get done. But in the majority of leagues, Josh Gordon for David Johnson is not going to happen. So you're going to have to send Josh Gordon and a starting running back to buy David Johnson. Yeah, but you're willing to do that?
Mike Wright
I'm willing to do that because I don't think you have to send a star running back. I don't think you have to send.
Jason Moore
You don't have to send a superstar, but you're going to have to send a starter.
Andy Holloway
Marshawn Lynch.
Mike Wright
Yeah, exactly. And I would, I would do that too.
Andy Holloway
And look, here's the, here's how I read the Gordon situation. There's. For Gordon to be successful in the NFL and for fantasy, he has to be committed both to staying clean and to learning a very complicated system in New England. He has to be committed to learning it. Yes, you can just have him run a nine round. If he just runs nine rounds, I don't think he's going to have the fantasy relevance that you need. Tom Brady, you know, say what you will, I don't know if nine round deep balls all day long. Here, here's the impact. To me, I would be just a quick follow up.
Jason Moore
I would, I'm very interested to know what does Randy Moss's route tree. Route tree look like and his time.
Andy Holloway
I know, but he's not Randy Moss. Josh Gordon's not Randy Moss.
Jason Moore
Nobody is Randy Moss.
Andy Holloway
But here's the impact. It impacts Tom Brady for fantasy in a positive way. And more than anything else, in my opinion, it actually impacts Rob Gronkowski the most. You have a secondary field stretching 6 foot 4 monster to come to help. Look, he was double teamed. Gronk was double teamed the entirety of the Jacksonville game. You have to have somebody else that the team has to worry about that helps Gronk. And I think you're going to be banking on a big play from Gordon for a while. Whereas the impact it has on Gronk and raising his baseline is big. So that's my takeaway.
Jason Moore
And we, there was a report, we don't know how valid it is, but there was reports on Josh Gordon's hamstring. The original reason that Josh Gordon was going to miss this past weekend, that it's good enough to play this weekend so we could see Josh Gordon suit up as a Patriot as early as this weekend. I am very interested to see what Gordon does.
Mike Wright
So. Yeah, for what?
Jason Moore
We're talking about waivers, Jason, and I know you're talking about trading him away. Get the value right now because nothing has actually happened.
Mike Wright
I'm okay with that. Yes, but. And I want to make sure I'm not, you know, being misunderstood. Only if you can trade him as that wide receiver. One value. Trade him as a star wide receiver because I want you. Yes, I want him. This is not me saying Gordon is not going to be valuable. Trade him because he's going to bust. I think he's going to have a solid fantasy season, but there's a lot of risk, and if you can capitalize, then. Yes, but.
Jason Moore
So you have the number one waiver priority in your league. Do you burn it for Josh Gordon?
Mike Wright
I do.
Jason Moore
Okay, so then fab wise, you're talking 30. You're talking in the 30%.
Mike Wright
Yes. Yes. Breaking news.
Jason Moore
Josh Gordon is suspended.
Andy Holloway
No, stop.
Mike Wright
Stop.
Andy Holloway
Interesting news. Pittsburgh Post Gazette reporting right now.
Jason Moore
Le'Veon Bell.
Mike Wright
No.
Jason Moore
Le'Veon Bell.
Mike Wright
No.
Jason Moore
Come back to me. Levy on Bill.
Andy Holloway
Antonio Brown did not report.
Mike Wright
Oh.
Andy Holloway
For meetings and film review on Monday. He's just mad, blowing off some steam.
Mike Wright
Yeah, he'll.
Jason Moore
He's fine. He's Antonio Brown.
Andy Holloway
It's kind of crazy.
Jason Moore
He could skip the whole week.
Andy Holloway
Maybe he's just take it off.
Mike Wright
I remember hearing some things like that about Le'Veon Bell.
Andy Holloway
Maybe Le'Veon Bell gave him a call and said, dude, check this out. Do what I'm doing. He's pretty nice. Wow, that is weird news. I don't know anything else. We'll follow up later in the show.
Mike Wright
Disconcerting.
Andy Holloway
Monday Night Football. The Bears defeated the Seahawks 24 to 17.
Jason Moore
Everything I said, that was a burner.
Andy Holloway
If you listened to yesterday's show and you heard me go off on the Arizona Cardinals, I want you to apply everything I said about Mike McCoy and the offensive play calling, and I want you to just take that and I want you to print it out, copy paste. And I want you to. Yeah. I want you to replace Mike McCoy with Brian Schottenheimer. Welcome to a living nightmare. Russell Wilson. This is what you're facing. You don't have weapons right now. Enough of them. You don't have original play caller. That gets you outside the pocket. And unfortunately, last night, you also had to face Khalil Mack. And it was a rough night for Russell Wilson. He Salvaged your fantasy night with the garbage time. But I mean, what do you. What do we say from the Seattle side? You had Rashad penny 10 for 30, Chris Carson six for 24. Second consecutive year. That the backfield in Seattle is a complete and utter fantasy trash.
Jason Moore
Yes, and I will agree with that. But the question is Rashad Penny inefficient?
Mike Wright
Get it?
Jason Moore
Three yards a carry, but he took over in that second half. Chris Carson once again was the more productive running back, but they only gave him six carries and, and he took.
Mike Wright
Over when it was still a one possession.
Jason Moore
That's my. That's. I think the big fantasy question for this game is did they. Did they see how terrible the offensive line was and then. And then decide, well, we didn't spend that pick on a lineman, so probably we should get our first overall pick in the game and see what he can do.
Mike Wright
I can you.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. What can you even take out of it? C.J. pro size caught three passes. Penny caught zero passes. Mark Mike Davis got in the game. It's just, it's a mess. Like, if I had to start one next week, I'd start Penny.
Mike Wright
I agree with that. I would start Penny over and then I would weep and I would.
Andy Holloway
In a closet.
Jason Moore
Yes, I can Penny get up to the, you know, 18 carries.
Mike Wright
Look, I don't want to take anything away from the Bears, okay. Because the Bears defense looked great. Their defensive line was fantastic. And I think that there are brighter days ahead for Seattle with Pete Carroll, with Russell Wilson. They're going to figure things out, and I think you'll have more fantasy production.
Andy Holloway
Did you say that Pete Carroll is going to figure things out?
Mike Wright
Yes.
Jason Moore
Pete Carroll is planning his retirement.
Mike Wright
Well, I agree.
Andy Holloway
I don't think I. I mean, I'm genuinely asking, like, I, I don't think that there's anything to figure out there. They. He was sacked. He's been sacked 12 times through two games.
Mike Wright
I think a big part of that performance was the combination of Khalil Mack and Doug Baldwin. Not having your number one target and having someone that is in the backfield every single play, I just don't think that's going to be an every week occurrence.
Jason Moore
But what if Baldwin misses three more weeks?
Mike Wright
Yeah, it's going to hurt. I think you've got to.
Jason Moore
Then you're trying to survive.
Andy Holloway
Wilson actually wanted to ask you this question because one of the things that happened in our league of record was you had so many picks, right. And you had the opportunity to lock your team up early, which meant that you were pretty much the second guy to take a quarterback in our league.
Mike Wright
Right.
Andy Holloway
And it wasn't because it wasn't like you. You implemented some strategy of like, I'm going to get an early round quarterback. It was because you had so many picks that you, you, you had to.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I had three guys on my bench and then I'm grabbing Russell Wilson as a second quarterback off the board. But your question, I'm sure is at what point do you pivot? Are you willing to. Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Well, how do you feel about Russell Wilson as an every week start? Because obviously you were, you know, thus far. You draft him to start him. You didn't have the flexibility probably mentally to sign a Pat Mahomes last week or to go out and stream a guy. How do you feel about that situation right now?
Mike Wright
You know, I temper expectations, but I'm okay with Russell Wilson. I mean, next week, the Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals. After that is his upcoming schedule. You're going to play him in both.
Jason Moore
Of those three to nothing. That game's going to be great.
Mike Wright
You're going to play him in both of those matchups. I think you're okay. And even if it takes garbage time, you know he wasn't the best because there were the best this week meant you had five touchdowns. But he wasn't putrid for fantasy the way that he was for the NFL, for the actual game while you watched it.
Andy Holloway
All right, Mitch Trubisky. An up and down game. If I had to rate it, I'd say probably more down than up.
Mike Wright
Stinks.
Andy Holloway
25 for 34. But his yards per attempt is the second worst in the league behind Sam Bradford.
Jason Moore
It's really low.
Andy Holloway
They're containing his badness with the yard per attempt. And then I almost said, juwan Howard, welcome Rockets. Was he on the Rockets?
Jason Moore
Wasn't he on, like every team?
Andy Holloway
I think of him as a wizard. Washington Wizard.
Jason Moore
I got this has to be vetted now.
Andy Holloway
I mean, Juwan Howard.
Mike Wright
Jordan Howard.
Andy Holloway
Yes. Jordan Howard's where I was going. But if you want to Photoshop Juwan Howard's face onto Jordan.
Jason Moore
Yeah, he definitely put on the Rockets.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
Yeah, that's, that's how I remember him.
Andy Holloway
Let's move on.
Jason Moore
I think he's still on the Rockets. Actually.
Andy Holloway
He, he. Right 30 years into it. Look, I was impressed with Alan Robinson's, you know, the target share and the catches. Yes. It was not a lot. I mean, 10 receptions for 8.3 per catch, you can't like that about it. But he was the go to guy. And then Trey Burton got in the end zone. Trey.
Mike Wright
Boo.
Andy Holloway
Boo.
Mike Wright
There he is.
Jason Moore
We need more targets for Trey Burton.
Andy Holloway
The last couple of games for Chicago have been the same game script. They've gotten out to a lead, then they've tried to protect that lead. So I don't want to say that like, I'm curious what will happen when they're down. I'm curious what will happen to the yards per attempt and to, you know, those aspects of the offense.
Mike Wright
There was one play that was probably the most worrisome for me. I'm obviously paying close attention to Trey Burton. And it was this designed call for Burton. It was a play action. Burton was lined up, you know, tight in the line, and he goes just straight out, just flying a nine. And he was open play action. And Mitch, Mitchell Trubisky was afraid to throw that ball. And I mean, you're talking about a 40 yard designed play. Perfection. Could have been a touchdown. And he didn't throw it, and he ran around and did nothing. And I worry about Trey Burton. Not because of him, not because of scheme. I saw some people saying, why aren't they using him Like Kelsey, if you just keep your eyes on Burton, they are. They're running him all over the place. Mitchell Trubisky is. I just don't think he's a good enough quarter. That was my worry in making him my. My guy. And I would be at least, you know, testing the waters of. Look, he had a touchdown, four receptions. He's going to be one of the higher tight ends this week. Shockingly. I would be seeing if people want to buy in and if I can.
Andy Holloway
Upgrade that position from a confidence level in the quarterback, which makes sense. I mean, the decision making for Mitch Trubisky has been a problem.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Because sometimes he's, you know, this yards per attempt is super low. But then he's, you know, he's chucking it. He's chucking it randomly. You know, two interceptions. Should have had a third down on the goal line on that.
Jason Moore
Ridiculous. He did a scramble and then decided that he thought he had Josh Allen's arm.
Andy Holloway
I'm calling him Chuckles now. That's his nickname. Chuckles.
Mike Wright
What?
Andy Holloway
Because he's just chucking it. Oh, get it together, Mitch. All right. Chuckles.
Jason Moore
Yes, Chuckles the Chuckles the Clown.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, that's where we're at. Tree. Khan exited with an ankle injury in that game. Matt Nagy said it's not a concern. We'll see. Chris Carson, six carries, didn't get any second half touches. Pete Carroll said he was gassed from playing special teams. I don't buy it. That seems like a doghouse situation to me. I doubt he was gassed from playing special teams. Let's move on from this game. I don't think we need to talk about this game anymore. All right, let's get into the news.
Mike Wright
News and notes from around the league.
Andy Holloway
We'll blitz the news and then we'll get into the waiver wire. Larry Fitzgerald expected to play in week three. Michelle McCoy dealing with cracked ribs.
Jason Moore
Another update to the ribs questionable for week three.
Andy Holloway
Are you interested in Chris Ivory?
Jason Moore
Not against Minnesota.
Mike Wright
No. No. And I'm not even sure it would be Chris Ivory. It might be Marcus Murphy. I would guess it would be him, but I'm not playing any of them against Minnesota.
Andy Holloway
I hadn't heard this. Jay Gruden said Rob Kelly is going to miss at least a month due to surgery on his toe saw. It's going to be one yard. Chris Thompson, 13 receptions, one yard rushing and Adrian Peterson. Antonio Brown didn't return. Report for the meetings. We'll see what happens. I doubt that's a big story. John Ha. John Harbaugh has confirmed that Kenneth Dixon is eligible to return. Do you care?
Mike Wright
I care. Once he returns, I don't care. Now I'm not going to ship off Alex Collins because Dixon might come back in week 11.
Andy Holloway
Give me your concern level for Devonta Freeman. Dan Quinn said the Falcons are not sure about when he's going to return and what the timeline is.
Mike Wright
I don't want to give my concern level because I have him and I'm trying to trade him. And people in our league generally listen.
Jason Moore
To this show multiple games.
Mike Wright
But my concern level is high. I mean, this three weeks, two weeks, what do you. I think he misses at least three weeks, possibly for. My bigger worry is that he comes back and it has a problem again and, you know, will require surgery or something like that.
Andy Holloway
Are you going out trying to scoop up Tevin Coleman?
Mike Wright
Oh, I did. I tried and tried.
Andy Holloway
I still think Kevin Coleman does it.
Jason Moore
Too late.
Andy Holloway
You see. I don't know. Some leagues you're right 100%. But other leagues, it's just he still has the feeling of a rental for people, you know, Gio Bernard esque rental. So it's like if you can go buy him, like, would you. Let me ask you this, Mike. Would you trade Derek Henry to get.
Mike Wright
Tevin Coleman right now if you're the Devonta Freeman owner?
Andy Holloway
No, no, no. Not if you're Devont. I'm not talking about that. Regardless, I'm talking about anybody because of the concern level.
Jason Moore
Like I have Derek Henry on my team.
Andy Holloway
That's what I'm talking about.
Jason Moore
If I could trade him for Tevin Coleman right now, I would do it.
Andy Holloway
Would you trade Deion Lewis for Tevin Coleman?
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Okay. Would you trade Marshawn lynch for Kevin Coleman?
Jason Moore
No. And this is. I think Freeman will be back, but you're going to get three really strong.
Andy Holloway
Games, plus a chance.
Jason Moore
Plus the chance.
Andy Holloway
And you have a top 10 running back.
Mike Wright
And the thing about Coleman that we've liked for fantasy is that when Freeman gets back and is the starter, Coleman's not taking over the starting role. If Freeman is healthy, you can still play Coleman. You can still get value. You could still get 10, 12 points a week out of Coleman as the backup.
Andy Holloway
I completely agree. Dan Bailey was signed by the Vikings.
Jason Moore
I would pick him up. Oh, we don't talk kickers very much on this show, but the Vikings are a high powered offense. Dan Bailey is a great kicker.
Mike Wright
There are, there's what, three or four, maybe five kickers out there that if I've got. I'm not dropping for Dan Bailey, but if I don't have a Justin Tucker, Guskowski or. Right, you know, I'm picking up Dan Bailey.
Andy Holloway
All right.
Jason Moore
Hey, before we move into the waiver, one waiver wire. I want to talk to you about P90X.
Andy Holloway
Oh.

Andy Holloway
Look, got to take the edge off.
Mike Wright
FanDuel is doing some great stuff this year. And you know, for me, the most exciting part of fantasy football is always the excitement of researching and building the team and constructing a roster. And you can listen to the fantasy footballers DFS show for some extra advice. Let me in, coach.
Andy Holloway
All right, let's talk waivers, people putting in their bids, people getting ready to make a decision on their waiver priority. And let's start at the wide receiver position. Let's talk about some players that are probably owned, but maybe not, maybe not in your league. These guys are all in the 49 to 65% ownership range, so there are still a number of leagues in which they're available. And we're talking about players like. And all of these have had multiple pretty solid weeks. Tyler Lockett, 5 for 16, a touchdown this week. Quincy and Unwa, 7 for 92 again, seems to be the safety valve for Sam Darnold.
Mike Wright
11 targets.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, Keelan Cole, 50% own seven for 116 and a touchdown. I talked to somebody yesterday, picked up Keelan Cole this week. Kenny Golladay.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Six for 89 and a touchdown. And you know what? I'm starting to buy in on Kenny Gollady. You want to know why? It's not because I don't like Marvin Jones or Golden Tate. It's because I think their defense stinks. And I think that Matthew Stafford is going to be catching up all year long.
Jason Moore
I'll scoot over.
Andy Holloway
And their running backs stink.
Jason Moore
I'm sliding right over for you, Andy.
Andy Holloway
There's a spot I know you've been all in. And then Mike Williams to Sean Jackson.
Mike Wright
To continue speaking on Kenny Galladay. I think we worried about where are the targets. Oh, Kenny G. So Kenny G was so smooth, just looking so fine. Adult contemporary star Kenny Golladay. We were worried about where these targets, you know, going to come from. If Marvin Jones is doing what Marvin Jones does and he still is, and Golden Tate is what Golden Tate's always been and he still is, how could Kenny Galladay be a thing? Andy, you bring up the defense, but I think in addition to that, it is the absence of Eric Ebron. Luke Wilson has no.
Jason Moore
He has nothing.
Mike Wright
He has not taken over that role. It's Kenny Golladay who's. And I think you're going to be able to play all three of these guys. Will you have disappointing weeks from all three of them over the course of the season? Absolutely. But I feel like the majority of time you're going to be okay. And the way that Matthew Stafford was looking to Galladay, you know, it wasn't like he was always the third read. He was often the first or second read if you look at the nine targets he received last week. So I agree. But of all the players that Andy mentioned already, Tyler Lockett, Quincy and Unwa. Keelan Cole, Kenny Golladay, Mike Williams, desean Jackson. If you had to pick one out.
Jason Moore
Of that group, who are you Quincy. Targeting Quincy Golladay Cole is how I would rank them. My top three.
Andy Holloway
Oh, I would. I would rank them Keelan Cole, Quincy and Noon. Joaquini Galladay.
Mike Wright
That's exactly how I would do. Keelan Cole has the highest upside to me. Quincy is the safest.
Andy Holloway
Are there. Are there any gaps between them where you're saying you'd rather pay up for one as opposed to trying to get a bargain on the best that. Let's say they're all on your waiver wire. Would you just put in A, you know, a $5 bid on all three of them.
Mike Wright
I'd put in less on Golladay. I would put in a $5 bid on Cole and on a Noonwa.
Andy Holloway
That's based on the fact that Anunoa and Cole represent the number one target in their offense, whereas Galladay is still the third option.
Jason Moore
Is he?
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Is it? Is it?
Jason Moore
Is he?
Andy Holloway
Is it 1, A, B and C? There's.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Is that what it is?
Jason Moore
I will accept that. I will not accept Kenny Golladay as the third option. He's not.
Andy Holloway
Look, seven receptions in his first game, six in his second game. It's hard to argue with Mike thus far. It's just a matter of you haven't seen a season of it. He is a six. Four.
Jason Moore
He's a monster.
Andy Holloway
Monster of a man with such smooth routes. So smooth. It's been impressive.
Mike Wright
Yeah. You know, is there any credence to the fact that coach Gimli is always, has always been a slow defensive starter where the defense doesn't start hot but does figure it out and gets better? So I mean the first two weeks they've just been immediately, immediately in the games just boat raced.
Jason Moore
Right.
Mike Wright
And now you're just slinging the rock.
Andy Holloway
They got New England next week. How you feel about that?
Mike Wright
Sign me up.
Jason Moore
And my axe.
Andy Holloway
They got New England and then Dallas. In Dallas and then Green Bay. He's going to be heading into the buy. They're going to be an ISO and five.
Mike Wright
All right.
Andy Holloway
No, maybe not. We'll see.
Mike Wright
$5 bet on all three of those players.
Andy Holloway
Here are some main waiver wire pickups. These guys are not owned in many leagues. These are the ones I want to talk about. John Brown had another great week. He seems to be. And I think it's going to be more and more this way. Maybe the wide receiver of choice for Joe Flacco. Four for 92 and a touchdown. But the 10 targets is what I'm talking about.
Jason Moore
I like it. And they're deep.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
And he just makes plays. When John Brown's been healthy in his career, he makes plays. That's just what happens. The problem is he's dealing. He has the sickle cell and deals with injury. But if he's on the field. Do you like him more than Michael Crabtree?
Mike Wright
I do. I certainly do. I mean if you. If they're both basically getting the same target volume, I'm going to take the guy that gets the deeper targets. If he's getting the same volume.
Jason Moore
Agreed.
Andy Holloway
Brandon Marshall last night, 4 for 44 on six targets. The way the game started, I was thinking, wow, he's really more the beneficiary of no Doug Baldwin than Tyler Lockett was. By the end of the game, Locking had the touchdown. Do you care at all about Brandon Marshall right now?
Jason Moore
I'm okay caring and being interested in.
Andy Holloway
50% owned, but this list of wide.
Jason Moore
Receivers is so vast right now. He's not. He's not anywhere close to the top five.
Andy Holloway
I. What do you think, Jay? You agree?
Mike Wright
Yeah, no, I do agree. I think that Brandon Marshall, he's not a speedster. Right. And so when you slowster, when the offensive line slug is in Russell Wilson's face in 0.1 seconds, Brandon Marshall's route is not complete. And so I think that's going to make it really hard for him.
Andy Holloway
How bad was that throw to the outside? The one that Emukumara picked off and took back to the house?
Mike Wright
Is not wise.
Andy Holloway
That was a man who was tired of being sacked.
Mike Wright
That's what I thought on the same play because you don't usually see Wilson.
Andy Holloway
Bad throw, bad read, bad everything. And bad Brandon Marshall on that play.
Mike Wright
Yeah, there wasn't a whole lot of, wait, was that Brandon Marshall or Penny?
Andy Holloway
I'm pretty darn sure that was Marshall on the outside.
Jason Moore
Oh, no, I thought that was Penny. Was it?
Mike Wright
Yeah, pretty sure it's Penny.
Jason Moore
It was Russell Wilson looked at him, said they were, like, making plans. This is how deep the eye contact was on that particular route. Hey, you want to go to the movies after this? We're getting this game.
Andy Holloway
I think you're right. It was Penny.
Jason Moore
And then he said, I'm going to throw it to you. And Penny said, you probably shouldn't do that because you've been staring at me for 10 seconds and the defense knows you're going to throw it to me.
Andy Holloway
Geronimo Allison. Chris Godwin, Tyler Boyd, Antonio Callaway, Ted Ginn, DJ Moore. These guys had big weeks. Do you have a favorite at the wide receiver position? Who are you taking? Maybe give me your favorite and then give me your lottery ticket.
Mike Wright
So my favorite is Chris Godwin. Chris Godwin. I've been saying, you know, for the last couple of weeks, his talent is so strong that I'm willing to take the shot this coming week.
Andy Holloway
Strong talent.
Mike Wright
It's the Steelers, and we've seen nothing but shootouts for Pittsburgh so far. I think that Chris Godwin's going to keep it going.
Jason Moore
Week one wasn't really a shootout.
Mike Wright
It was a shootout. Considering the weather conditions and the rain the point was the defense. It was not, you know, the defense was the weather. That was the best defense on the field. And so I think that Chris Godwin's going to keep it going with Djak stretching the field and Mike Evans as the number one. I mean, you just throw it to God when he's never going to be double covered. And he grabs those.
Jason Moore
But what if Winston is back next week? We've talked about Jameis Winston. Does he favors the tight end? Well, more than most quarterbacks when it.
Mike Wright
Comes to wide receivers. And this is more of a strategy, fantasy football, you know, thing. I'm not usually looking long term because I'm fine. Next.
Jason Moore
Okay.
Mike Wright
You're just like Chris Godwin. Yes, exactly. Pittsburgh. I'll play Chris Godwin. You know, like, I really like Tyler Boyd. He's available in every league. He's clearly the number two. John Ross is not the number two. But, you know, going to Carolina, no, thanks.
Jason Moore
Oh, I'm fine with that.
Andy Holloway
I'm fine with Tyler.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I'm fine with that. I would.
Andy Holloway
Godwin or Galladay, both are the number.
Jason Moore
Three by a wide stretch. I would rather have Geronimo over Chris Godwin because I'm trying to find a longer term solution. If I need a player for this week, it might be Chris Godwin. But of this list we've talked about, I would order them Geronimo. And it's close between Boyd and Callaway to see what to stash them and see what we've got.
Mike Wright
And if you're listening and you're not familiar, Geronimo Allison, receiver for the Packers. Chris Godwin is the wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And Tyler Boyd, a lot of people might be going, yeah, who's Boyd? That's the Cincinnati Bengals.
Jason Moore
Antonio Calloway, the replacement in Cleveland for Josh Gordon.
Andy Holloway
I just so worried about the targets.
Jason Moore
I get it. I'm not picking him up to play him immediately, just keeping an eye on him. But he's on the field. If that offense gets anything going at.
Andy Holloway
All, if that's what I did with Golladay last week. I picked him up last week to see. That's what you're doing. You're investigating right now. It's two weeks.
Jason Moore
Yeah, you're two weeks. You're a gumshoe. You're trying to see what's going on. Because in two weeks, if Baker Mayfield comes in in two weeks. He was BFFs with Callaway this preseason.
Andy Holloway
No, that's a strong point. And it's looking more likely the more L's on the. On the board running backs. Let's talk about the NFL's leading rusher.
Mike Wright
Is that true this last week?
Andy Holloway
No.
Mike Wright
What?
Jason Moore
No, no, no.
Andy Holloway
Through two weeks, I'm fairly certain. What? I'm fairly certain I'm right about this.
Mike Wright
Hold on a minute.
Andy Holloway
Let me just. Let's just do it.
Jason Moore
Give them the name. We'll. I'll look it up.
Andy Holloway
Matt Breida. Matt Burrita. I believe Matt Breida is the NFL leading. He is rusher. He is the top. Here's the top three rushers in the NFL.
Jason Moore
Hold on, hold on.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
If you're eating, you need to swallow.
Andy Holloway
Swallow your food.
Jason Moore
Don't take another bite because you got to give the top.
Andy Holloway
Sit down.
Jason Moore
Give the top five.
Andy Holloway
Number one, Matt Breida, San Francisco 49ers. Number two, Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals. Number three, Philip Lindsay, undrafted Denver Broncos. Number four, Lamar Miller. And number five, James Conner.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Mike Wright
Just how y'all thought it was if you told me.
Andy Holloway
Let me just. Let's just tease this out some more. Through two weeks, give me the prop bet on the leading passer being Ryan Fitzpatrick, the leading rusher being Matt Breida, and the leading receiver being DeSean Jackson.
Jason Moore
Are you saying like if you had parlayed that you'd be. You would own the United States of America?
Andy Holloway
I mean, because they would owe you the.
Jason Moore
The entire Fort Knox reserve.
Andy Holloway
Yes, that is. That's where we're at. Welcome. Welcome in. Look, Matt Breida, 62% owned. But people want to know more than whether or not you signed Matt Breida. Obviously you do. Last week, 11 for 138 and a touchdown. I think we'd all start him over. Alfred Morris right now.
Mike Wright
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, but the people. I think people want to know, like, is he a must start guy? He places Kansas City this week. How confident are you with Matt Breida as an RB2, for instance?
Mike Wright
Yeah, I'm confident with Matt Breida as an RB2. The most important part of the game because he had one really long run. That is padding the 138 yards. It's the four targets. You know, look, I know that Matt Burrida did not. He's not in and of himself, this excellent pass catching back, but he is the best of what San Francisco has and that role is important for a Kyle Shanahan offense. This is why we were so excited about Jerick McKinnon, who would be crushing it right now if, you know, just because of his physical superiority to Burrito and Alf. But Yeah. I am starting Burrito because if they get down, which they probably will, to Kansas City, in Kansas City, then Burrida is going to be the back that's used there in the passing game.
Andy Holloway
I agree. I agree. So what would you say if he's out there? Well, 62%. I mean, what would you spend on him if he's on your wire right now? Because obviously people reacted. They got Alf, they got Breida early. But if they. If he's still out there, maybe disappointed. Week one, what do you spend on Breida if you need a running back?
Jason Moore
I'm not breaking the bank.
Andy Holloway
20. 20 bucks?
Jason Moore
Yeah, I was going to say the $15 to $20 range is what I'm looking to spend.
Mike Wright
I would. I would be willing to go a little bit higher than that. I think I would be willing to.
Jason Moore
Go 30 because Breeda and Philip Lindsay are both on the waiver wire. How do you handle.
Mike Wright
I'm taking Breida over Lindsay because Breida is the best running back on that team, I think. And nothing is going to be the.
Jason Moore
Best on his team, too.
Mike Wright
Sure. I mean, maybe he is, but I'm not concerned with ALF coming in and taking over and really dominating Breida. Whereas with Philip Lindsay, who has looked great and is clearly the leader right now, I mean, Denver came out after that game and said, we're riding the hot hand.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
We're not going to name him the starter. We're not thinking about naming him the starter.
Mike Wright
So if you know Royce Freeman, you know your guy. Royce Freeman is hot. They will ride him. And I believe that I. So I'm less confident that I can start Philip Lindsay week in and week out, just off of two good at home weeks.
Jason Moore
But I've heard that Philip Lindsay puts those. When you're up north, you buy the hand warmers.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
And you put them in your gloves. He does that and then he shakes Vance Joseph's hand at the beginning of every single game and he goes, oh, that's a hot hand.
Andy Holloway
It took me a really, really long time. What are you talking. That was fantastic to figure out what he was talking about.
Mike Wright
That's over two today, man. Apples.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, all my apples was pretty bad, too. Brooks, Brooks, can we get a couple rulings? Yeah. What's Mike's hot hand joke was great. Now, Mike, Mike, I'll give you credit on Twitter. You dropped the new phone.
Jason Moore
Who?
Andy Holloway
Disley. That was good.
Jason Moore
It was strong. I saw chuckles going on in the back.
Mike Wright
We're gonna get rules. All right.
Andy Holloway
What am I ruling on here.
Mike Wright
You're ruling on all my apples from. No, that was terrible. That was a throwaway. Okay. We just won't even. I didn't seem to. Yes. That was already thrown out. And the hot ham hand. It had me laughing over here. You're darn right.
Andy Holloway
Terrible joke. It's all takes other probably owned worth checking on, guys. Bilal Powell, certainly. You have 10 touches for Bilal Powell.
Mike Wright
Six targets. If you're getting as a running back, you know, north of five targets a game, you're going to be serviceable.
Andy Holloway
James White, T.J. yeldin, Aaron Jones. Are you excited about Jones coming back?
Jason Moore
Very.
Andy Holloway
I'm very excited as well because look, they need a spark at their running game.
Jason Moore
Yes, Jamal Williams is the better pass protector. I get it. But Aaron Jones is. It's clear he is the best running back on the team. I'm very excited for him to come back. I want him on my bench. But I don't know if Green Bay feels like they want that they're going to play Aaron Jones or I think.
Andy Holloway
That they're going to play Aaron Jones or you think they're going to play I Smash Jackson.
Jason Moore
I do not know.
Mike Wright
I am very confident. I am very confident that Jamal Williams will retain the role and Aaron Jones will be utilized on a small touch every game basis. That's. I'm confident in that. Now, I agree with you that Aaron Jones is their best running back. But I am less excited than you two guys because I do not believe that he will get the workload to, you know, really capitalize on the fantasy value. But I would put him on my bench for sure because should he get that workload, he would be very valuable.
Andy Holloway
Geo Bernard.
Jason Moore
You say we've buried the lead because Geo Bernard is the number one.
Andy Holloway
Here's the number one pickup of the week. Yeah, let's name our favorite two or three pickups. Gio Bernard is 28% owned. He's going to be given an opportunity. With Joe Mixon out for two weeks to start, they play Carolina and Atlanta both games on the road. I expect Mixon to miss both of those games. Therefore, Gio Bernard is heat. Let's say you pick him up. Do you feel better starting Geo in that backfield? Now he's probably going to split some time with Mark Walton.
Jason Moore
Not much.
Andy Holloway
But do you feel better with Geo or Matt Breida going into week three?
Jason Moore
He's the pass catching back. He'll be the primary running back. I mean, when mixing was out last year, it was the Gio Bernard show.
Andy Holloway
How much do you spend on him?
Mike Wright
It's tough because it's only two weeks or three weeks.
Jason Moore
You know, it's at least two weeks. Yeah.
Mike Wright
But once that is over, Geo goes back to irrelevance, unlike Coleman. So to me it's a little bit team dependent. Okay.
Jason Moore
You're, you're owing to Jason, you need to.
Andy Holloway
Hypothetically, you're owing to.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
And also in reality Dynasty league I.
Mike Wright
Am two and oh and I'm taking you all down.
Jason Moore
We're not talking about that league.
Andy Holloway
I'm also 2 and O.
Jason Moore
We're talking about the league where you're 0 and 2. You need running back help because you got, you got David Johnson, you got Dalvin. Hypothetically, you got Dalvin Cook and you got Devonta Freeman. You got Devonta Freeman. You need someone to come in and put up points for your running back position. What are you going to drop for two games?
Mike Wright
I would not spend more than 20.
Jason Moore
Okay. I, I was thinking in that 25.
Andy Holloway
To 35, if you're the Joe Mixon owner, what are you spending on Geo?
Jason Moore
A lot more.
Mike Wright
I would agree 40.
Jason Moore
You willing to drop 40?
Mike Wright
I mean I'd probably go in the 30. I don't think.
Andy Holloway
Would you drop a 41? Would you drop a full kittle?
Mike Wright
No, I'm going the bits. No kittle, just bits here.
Andy Holloway
A kittle is $44, in case you're curious.
Jason Moore
It's like a fortnight.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
One kiddle.
Jason Moore
Very specific measurement.
Andy Holloway
Would you spend a kittle or not? I mean that's.
Mike Wright
I would not spend a kiddle.
Andy Holloway
Would you spend a kettle on Latavius Murray if you're the Dalvin Cook owner?
Mike Wright
I would spend a lot. But not a full kiddo. No, there's nobody this week.
Jason Moore
I have an update on Dalvin Cook in his hand.
Mike Wright
I have not seen an update. You guys can check on that. But I feel like we are two weeks in and there still has not been a massive huge waiver wire. Everyone is rushing to get Guy.
Jason Moore
That's great news. That means that the running backs are not completely dead yet.
Mike Wright
So let me ask you this. Would you spend. Let's talk about those in a waiver wire priority league who next year hopefully upgrade to a fab system.
Jason Moore
Of course.
Mike Wright
But this year they're in it. You've got the number one waiver priority which we all know if you've played in those leagues that's so valuable because you get the pick of the litter. But as soon as you use it, you go to the back of the line usually. Would you spend it on someone this week?
Jason Moore
If I have one starting running back that I'm confident in and one where I'm. I've got three guys or so that I'm hoping to plug in the best situation at the running back to. I'm. I would spend it on Geo. I would take. I would buy those two weeks and evaluate from there.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, if you're an active player, I want to win. Right now you're listening to like a very accurate, entertaining podcast on a regular basis and you're all over giving you hot hand jokes, high hand jokes and kittles. I would be playing. I play more often than not with the buy a week by a week by a week mentality. Now obviously you'd love to have. You'd love to buy 10 of them, but this is kind of. I mean, it's the same thing with a streaming quarterback. You're trying to buy a quarterback like Pat Mahomes that you can just start the rest of the year. But I'd be trying to buy weeks because you can react, you can trade, you can make adjustments, you can do that stuff. I want to know what you think, Mike, about Austin Eckler.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
Two weeks now of great production from Austin Eckler Behind Melvin Gordon, 11 for 77 on the ground, which was a massive. He was super efficient performance considering Gordon was not efficient on the ground.
Jason Moore
Right.
Andy Holloway
And Melvin Gordon, is he an AD to you?
Jason Moore
Yeah, I would add him, especially if you have Melvin Gordon who dealt with an alleged upper body injury. We don't have any more news on what happened to Melvin. He got banged up, kind of exited the game. The game was well in hand against the Buffalo Bills, so perhaps it was more a matter of that. There's no reason to force Melvin Gordon to go back out. But if. But if Gordon takes a tick back in his snaps this week or anything like that. Austin Eckler is proving to be a very reliable running back for this team. He's a great pass catcher. So yes, I think Austin Eckler is a. I am for sure adding them. I didn't buy in last week, but I am. I'm in this week.
Andy Holloway
Did you drop Jordan Wilkins for Austin Eckler?
Jason Moore
Yes, I would.
Andy Holloway
Would you drop Jordan Wilkins for Corey Clement?
Jason Moore
Oh, that's a tough call.
Andy Holloway
The Eagles have signed a running back off their practice.
Jason Moore
Yeah, Josh Adams. He's got some juice.
Andy Holloway
Well, I read into the injury.
Mike Wright
I agree. I didn't know that they had signed someone up from their practice. Squad Based on that, then I would rather have Clement.
Andy Holloway
Theo Riddick is targeted a lot. Do you have any interest in Theo.
Jason Moore
Riddick in PPR only?
Mike Wright
Yes, in full ppr. He should be owned. I want to say get him off the field, put carry on on. But he's got, I mean he's got 19 targets over the first two weeks. That's great for a wide receiver.
Jason Moore
Right?
Andy Holloway
It's annoying watching them. It really is. Javari Salon.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Mike Wright
Should be owned. He's only 8% owned. He's available in almost every waiver wire. He should be owned. Even though he was, you know, six carries for eight yards. I mean, some of that, you know, when you get a goal line carry for one yard and you get the touchdown, obviously good for you. But he's there pass catching back, you know, seven targets last week.
Jason Moore
He's a pass catching back and he also gets goal line carries.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
So yes, you should add, you should add Javorius, Buck Allen tight ends.
Andy Holloway
Who are your favorite pickups this week? Are there any that you're, you're excited about? I mean, O.J. howard had the big week, 3 for 96 and a touchdown and four targets. He has big playability. Eric Ebron, 3 for 26. Another touchdown. I think Ebron is a week in, week out threat to score. Ebron or Rudolph, who'd you rather start based on this?
Mike Wright
Last week, Rudolph came around. You know, he was, he was targeted a lot. I mean, they were down and I don't think Minnesota is going to be down as much. You know, they were playing the packers, but it was, it was nice to see that they've got, they, they can scheme him and use him should they get down. I'd rather have Rudolph.
Jason Moore
As would I. Yeah, I would too. I'm taking a look here at Pro Football Reference. They've got Eric Ebron logged in at 26.2 of the offensive snaps this past weekend.
Andy Holloway
Yes, Doyle was really bad production wise too.
Jason Moore
But he's always on the field and in a position. If it's at this point and I'm going, man, who am I going to add off the waiver wire? I need to get a touchdown from the tight end position. I want a guy who's playing more than 26% of the snaps. I know he's come through back to back weeks, but you're playing a game of probability.
Mike Wright
Yeah. And Austin Safari and Jenkins didn't have a monster game 3 for 23, but did get the touchdown. And keep in mind he had a touchdown week one as well, that was called back. So if they are using him in.
Jason Moore
The red zone, I would much rather have Jenkins than.
Mike Wright
Yeah, and that's a guy that's playing, you know, he's on the field most.
Jason Moore
Of the game and mid-80s percent of the snaps.
Andy Holloway
Defensive pickups for week three. You got to like Seattle at home against Dallas. Hopefully they get Bobby Wagner back in that game. Cincinnati takes on Carolina. Do you like them at all? Not really.
Mike Wright
You don't like them a lot in Carolina, but the reason they're on this list is because they've been surprisingly good and, you know, over the last decade, Cincinnati usually has a good defense. They lost some pieces, so you thought, oh, maybe they're not a good D. And for fantasy purposes, the first two weeks, they've put up solid scores.
Jason Moore
The Cleveland Browns are shockingly the number one play of the week at home versus Sam Darnold and the Jets.
Mike Wright
That's who I'd pick up.
Jason Moore
And I may be tipping my cap here to my co hosts, which is super unfortunate, but I'm playing fantasy football. I'm looking forward a little bit, and I see who's playing the Buffalo Bills next week. That is the Green Bay Packers. Just throwing it out there. You might want. If you've got a burner, like, if I have a burner spot.
Andy Holloway
So what you meant was tipping your hand.
Jason Moore
Did I?
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah.
Jason Moore
I said hat.
Andy Holloway
You said tipping your cats.
Mike Wright
That's like.
Andy Holloway
I thought you were about to give me, like, a compliment and I was like, oh, bring me the like two and. Oh, and Dynasty.
Jason Moore
That is an egregious misunderstanding.
Andy Holloway
Two and oh, in league record.
Jason Moore
What a slip of the tongue.
Andy Holloway
But you meant tipping your hot hand.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I got the warmers in, but they. I would add the Green Bay Packers. I would pay you.
Andy Holloway
I would pay you a full kittle of money to not make your high hand joke ever again. $44 if you want to take. No, no, just.
Jason Moore
Just real life money.
Andy Holloway
Cash.
Jason Moore
Or you.
Andy Holloway
Would you. Would you be willing to go in on a kiddle to get him to shut up?
Jason Moore
You guys split it, 22 bucks a piece.
Mike Wright
Yeah, yeah, I think. I think I have to do that deal.
Jason Moore
We're in front of a man of the law.
Mike Wright
He heard it.
Jason Moore
$44 coming to me where he can.
Andy Holloway
Enforce, like, financial things because he's a judge.
Jason Moore
They have.
Mike Wright
That is what I think they could.
Jason Moore
Yeah, they have lots of power.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, that makes sense. All right, let's talk quarterbacks.
Mike Wright
Full stream ahead.
Jason Moore
We'd mentioned it at the beginning of the show in the news, but in the waivers. Just a reminder, you should probably pick up Dan Bailey. Yeah, just a reminder.
Andy Holloway
Probably makes sense. I'm not spending money on him.
Jason Moore
Oh, yeah, you just throw a couple bucks. But I mean, there are, there are some players out there like me. We got Zirloin with no groin.
Andy Holloway
Oh, that's.
Jason Moore
And I need Dan Bailey. I need you, buddy.
Andy Holloway
All right, who's your quarterback? Stream of the week. There are. There are a few options out there that could be interesting. Jason.
Mike Wright
Yeah, for me, I'm definitely sticking with the man.
Jason Moore
Snake man.
Mike Wright
Blake the Snake Bortles. He runs the ball. He's looked great. Here's the thing that you have to keep in mind. Blake Bortles gets a lot of grief for being bad. And I get it. But for fantasy, he's never really been a bad quarterback after his rookie season. I mean, he. The last three years, he's averaged the quarterback eight. His worst finish was last year as the quarterback 13. And that was basically because the first half of last year was all Leonard Fournette. They didn't use Bortles at all. Second half of last year, wasn't he like the second or third best quarterback.
Jason Moore
In fantasy through the final about 25% of the season?
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
I mean, so he's. I'm not saying he's going to have monster games the way he did this week, every week, by any means. No way. And I wouldn't expect it anything like that against Tennessee. He plays against Tennessee. Who has given up multi touchdown games to the quarterback both weeks. They're going to do it again to Blake Bortles. He's at home. You still don't know the full health of Leonard Fournette.
Andy Holloway
Corey Grant offers him yardage out of the backfield. The thing about Bortles that has made him successful and maybe the reason they decided not to bring back Allen Robinson is he functions best when he takes what the defense gives him. And he has other weapons. You have asj, Kim, Moncrief and Cole and dede. You have his ability, solid team. He gets to spread the ball around without having, you know, you remember Allen Robinson. Every overthrow, every miss, every time he didn't get a target, he was throwing a fit.
Mike Wright
Yeah. And look at this. Here's his schedule. You pick him up to stream him this week and you might be surprised how long you hang on to Blake the Snake because he goes Tennessee at home, the jets at home, then Kansas City, Dallas. I mean, you could have the next month as a great streaming option.
Andy Holloway
Maybe you spend spin to grab them. Five bucks.
Mike Wright
Yeah. I mean, you spend a couple. Couple bucks. I don't think people are rushing. You know, your league, if you're in one of those reactionary leagues where Blake Bortles puts up 46.1 fantasy points and everybody goes after him because they're just.
Jason Moore
Chasing points or they say Blake stinks. I don't want in on that.
Mike Wright
Yeah. But I'd grab.
Jason Moore
All right, I'm going to jump in here. We play by the NBA Jam rules.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Jason Moore
On this show.
Mike Wright
He's heating up.
Jason Moore
He is absolutely heating up. I believe the best stretch to start the first two games of the NFL season for a fantasy quarterback in history.
Andy Holloway
Talking about the NFL passing leader.
Jason Moore
I am Ryan Fitzpatrick, the magical beard. It's been incredible.
Andy Holloway
Stay in the flames.
Jason Moore
It has absolutely been an incredible, exciting start to the season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And now he gets to play Pittsburgh. So I am standing in that fire.
Andy Holloway
He's at home, too, right?
Jason Moore
Yes. And no. 1, the Pittsburgh Steelers, no defense is seeing quarterbacks go deep more frequently. That's what Ryan Fitzpatrick has been all about. He's got the weapons to sustain him as well. One more. This might be the last rodeo for Ryan Fitzpatrick while Jameis Winston's finishing up his suspension. So he's going. He's got to give everything he's got. He's trying to earn everything he got. He's trying to earn that starting spot. And I'm still going with it. I understand. This is a fool me once, fool me twice thing with Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Mike Wright
We saw.
Jason Moore
I'm going for it.
Mike Wright
We have seen a full season where he was a good fantasy quarterback. We have Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker. So this wide receiver core of.
Andy Holloway
I mean, yeah, look, are you starting Mike Evans?
Mike Wright
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Are you starting Chris Godwin?
Mike Wright
Yes.
Andy Holloway
Are you starting to Sean Jackson?
Mike Wright
Yes.
Andy Holloway
And I was thinking about O.J. howard.
Mike Wright
Absolutely.
Andy Holloway
Okay, so probably plays quarterback and Peyton Barber run it all.
Mike Wright
No.
Andy Holloway
So I'd play ryan Fitzpatrick, too. 23% owned right now.
Mike Wright
Pick them up.
Jason Moore
I'm shocked that it's that high.
Andy Holloway
Now. I. I'm going to go a little deeper, but I'm going to stay in Florida and I'm going to stay with a quarterback with the first name of Ryan. And I'm going to go with Ryan Tannehill against Oakland. 6% owned. This is your deeper league play. I much prefer Bortles or Fitzpatrick over Ryan Tannehill. I like the Tannehill call, but he's been fine. He's been totally fine. You Always have the opportunity for a Kenny Stills game. Breaking play. Just missed on one last week. That would have put him in a 30 point week. He still had 22 fantasy points in our league of record. I think Tannehill is somebody that you can sneak out there if you're in a deeper league. If you're in a league where people are rostering two quarterbacks and you don't know who to play or who to sign, look, he's going to be available. So if Fitzpatrick and Bortles are gone and you have to stream somebody, he's available.
Mike Wright
Here's what I love about Ryan Tannehill. When I was stating him out for the season in the draft rankings the first go round, the very first, you know, we just finished all 32 teams and I look at my rankings and see who's where. Ryan Tannehill shocked me. He was like my quarterback 15. I was like, oh, that's just. This is. I've made a mistake. Something is wrong. But what happened when I looked deeper was I was giving him his rushing yardage that he's used to, and I backed off of that number because of the knee injury. If he is a rushing quarterback, he's going to be really valuable. Last week, 44 yards, eight carries on the ground. He's not afraid of the knee. That is very telling. So, yeah, if you're in a deeper league and these other options aren't there, I think Ryan Tannehill could have a good game. I ain't mad at you.
Andy Holloway
All right. Those are our streaming quarterbacks this week. Mike Tomlin, More news. He did confirm that Antonio Brown was not present at practice on Monday. He refused to say whether it was an excused absence. It did not sound like it was. And he refused to say. Yeah, he's hoping to meet with Brown on Tuesday to discuss the situation. I mean, we all expect Brown to be fine and playing, but it's very interesting what's happening in Pittsburgh. Bad vibes.
Mike Wright
They could go oh and three.
Andy Holloway
Well, no, they really can't go.
Mike Wright
They would still be 03.
Jason Moore
No, they'd be 02 and one.
Mike Wright
Oh, that's right. Oh, two and one. It's a loss. You tied the Browns.
Jason Moore
It's half a loss.
Mike Wright
The Browns should get a tie and.
Andy Holloway
You get a loss.
Mike Wright
Steelers should get a loss. And honestly, that's, that's, you know, if you're on those teams, the Browns probably feel like they got to win with that tie. I know Hugh Jackson did.
