Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast coming to you from Draft.com Studios with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore and Mike Wright.
Mike Wright
Ah, welcome in.
Jason Moore
Got a little shaky there.
Mike Wright
Haven't had my cure. Haven't had my coffee this morning.
Andy Holloway
Oh, we had the morning. Oh. All hail. Wow. The King.
Jason Moore
We're right into it.
Mike Wright
Apparently that cuts off the intro. I didn't realize that was gonna happen. When the king shows up, everything must stop. Apparently, everything stops.
Andy Holloway
King Godfrey, he sweet played pretty well.
Mike Wright
Fancy Moses. Look, this was not just a game, my friends. This was a game of games. And he is the third quarterback. I heard this this morning. He is the third quarterback in history with a perfect, perfect passer rating in a game in which over 30 passes. It was Kurt Warner and then somebody else named O'Brien.
Andy Holloway
So wait a minute. Okay, hold on now. We were talking about how Brandon Cooks so far in his career. The reason we were kind of down on him coming into this year is because he's all.
Mike Wright
Don't say we, please.
Andy Holloway
Jason is me.
Mike Wright
Jason is me.
Andy Holloway
Mike. I was going to say Jason and myself, but I am me, Mike and myself. Yes, we were a little bit down on Cooks, but part of the reason why is because, look, we've only seen him play with hall of Fame quarterbacks, you know, and now we were like, we were like, now he's going to la. We don't know, but maybe he's still only playing with hall of Fame quarterback.
Mike Wright
Things have taken a turn for Jared Goff. Thursday night, it was a barn burner. 38, 31. The Rams defeated the Vikings. The Vikings are 1, 2 and 1. And if you remember, before the season, I didn't I think Minnesota is a title contending team. I'm not changing that. But I expected this record to be worse. I expected it to be harder. It's hard in the NFL to go 13 and 3. It doesn't normally happen in when you change your offense coordinator, who, by the way, performed stellar last night. I mean, this was great play calling on both sides of the ball. I think this was the second time in NFL history that you had five players with 100 yards receiving, five wide receivers might have been the first time. And so you had games like this. Cooper Cup 9 for 162 and 2. Brandon Cook 7 for 116 and 1. Robert Woods 5 for 101 and 1. And that Tide Gurley guy only had 4 for 73 through the air for it. And a touchdown on the other side of the ball. Thielen 8 for 135 and 1. Stefan Diggs 11 for 123. He was left out of the touchdown party. That was, oh, what a loser. And look, I was dead wrong about Kirk Cousins. He came out and lit. Set the world on fire. Hopefully you listen to Mike about that. Hopefully you listen to me about Dalvin Cook, because Dalvin Cook was 10 for 20 and didn't show up in the second half. And this was a crazy game. I mean, two quarterbacks that went over 400 yards each with no turnovers, no picks at all.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, this was. Look, both of these teams have great defenses, but both of these teams have great offenses. The offenses were. They won the day. Rams beating the Vikings 38, 31 in a high scoring game. It was fantastic. And I, you know, I hope you started my start of the week.
Jason Moore
This was the continuation of last year. You guys recall the Rams playing on Thursday night. Last year they played San Francisco.
Mike Wright
Yeah, it was a great game.
Jason Moore
And everyone was like, this game is gonna suck butts. And then it was incredible.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
And this game.
Mike Wright
Is that what everybody said?
Jason Moore
That's what I said. I mean, I just assume everyone has the same opinion I do.
Mike Wright
Mike Wright and I. It is Friday, guys. And, well.
Andy Holloway
Foot Clan Friday.
Mike Wright
It is Foot Clan Friday. And we are so very thankful for all the support of the official Foot Clan members over@jointhefoot.com and today's Foot Clan Friday winner is Andy.
Andy Holloway
Andy Holloway.
Mike Wright
Andy Breamer. Oh, who wins. $55 to shopballers.com Congratulations, Andy. Hopefully my namesake.
Andy Holloway
If you.
Jason Moore
Andy, if you win up against either Cousins or any really any of the players from this game. This is a little, a little pat on the back that says everything's going to be okay.
Mike Wright
Yeah, there are Thursday night. I'm trying to comfort people because everybody played somebody in this game pretty much. Now, Brooks, you're in a few leagues and why don't you give us the rundown of what happened to you last night.
Andy Holloway
The old golf Cooper cup stack against me.
Mike Wright
And you've got it in more than one league two.
Andy Holloway
Oh, mercy.
Mike Wright
That's when you just. You do the Derek Jeter tip the cap like you're just. All right, I'm out for week five. Like, I genuinely. If you out there, if you win this week against golf and cup against that stack, I want to see it on Twitter @ the FF Ballers. I want to see that because I actually believe that that stack is impossible to overcome.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, it would be tough. I mean, that was like the week 1. Patrick Mahomes Tyree kill stack.
Mike Wright
Correct.
Andy Holloway
I tried to overcome but could not. So, Brooks, we won't be seeing you Sunday. You just. This is taking off. Got it.
Mike Wright
All right, we're going to get right into in and out, catch up on the injury news and then we'll get into the matchups.
Andy Holloway
What's it going to payment fly? Are you in or out?
Mike Wright
I guess before we do that, I do want to throw one more of these in there.
Andy Holloway
Oh, why?
Mike Wright
Because Sean McVay was going 55 all night. As in, he found number 55 on the Minnesota defense, Anthony Barr. And then he said, that player gets a touchdown against Anthony Barr, Gurley woods cup, all three of them on number 55.
Jason Moore
That feels bad, man.
Mike Wright
Can you really blame him? Like, if you say, hey, Anthony Barr, I want you to line up and I want you to stop Cooper cup on a wheel route. I want you to stop Robert woods in the seam.
Andy Holloway
I mean, I'm not a cornerback. What do you.
Mike Wright
His body can't do that. All right, in and out.
Jason Moore
In reminder. This is. We're talking about guys who have been showing up limited or they're dealing with an injury problem and we are projecting whether they are in or out.
Mike Wright
What now?
Andy Holloway
In or out?
Jason Moore
We got there.
Mike Wright
Yeah. So LaShawn McCoy in, in.
Jason Moore
I think you'll play Chris Carson in. He was limited during the week, but he carried the ball 32 times.
Andy Holloway
That's why he was limited.
Mike Wright
Leonard Fournette.
Andy Holloway
I think he's in.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I'm going in.
Andy Holloway
Although he is someone you need to monitor because he got the same practice in last week and they sat him, so. Yeah, but I think he'll be in tj Yelden also in.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Marshawn lynch in.
Andy Holloway
Always in.
Mike Wright
Devonta Freeman with the knee?
Andy Holloway
I doubt it.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
J. JJ Is.
Jason Moore
This is insane to me, the news that came out. I don't know if you guys took it the same way. It looks like he's going to play. He's somehow not listed on the injury report, but he's dealing with a back fracture.
Andy Holloway
There's nothing you can do. You can't.
Mike Wright
Not suboptimal.
Andy Holloway
You can't wrap your back in a cast until it heals. But it hurts because your back is broken.
Mike Wright
Doug Peterson said, good to go.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. And it's just a pain tolerance thing. So how about you're good to go?
Jason Moore
Dumb.
Mike Wright
Wouldn't that be bad to go? Isn't that bad to go?
Andy Holloway
Yes, that's bad to go. But to go. The to go part is still there. Darren Sprawls. If Jay Ajayi has a great week this week, I'm shipping him out. He's just. He is. He's a walking mummy right now.
Mike Wright
You'd be backing off.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I would be backing.
Mike Wright
Oh.
Andy Holloway
Oh.
Mike Wright
Darren Sprolls. Darren Sprouls out. Corey Clement.
Jason Moore
He'll play.
Mike Wright
Do you want to play him, though?
Jason Moore
Not if JI plays Gio Bernard. He'll play. Yeah.
Mike Wright
Alfred Morris with the knee injury cropped up yesterday. He got in a limited session, but you don't like that Thursday injury ad?
Andy Holloway
No, late. Late week injury ads are never good. But he was still participating, so I think he's in.
Mike Wright
All the fearful breed owners. I saw the Q, the questionable next to their name.
Andy Holloway
He's good.
Mike Wright
He got a full practice.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Marlon Mack and Edo Smith don't care.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, that's true.
Mike Wright
Wide receivers, Keenan Allen.
Andy Holloway
Oh, man.
Mike Wright
Does this say knee and tooth?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, the tooth was a new thing for Thursday.
Jason Moore
Keenan Allen and his. His injuries, they're very abnormal because he.
Mike Wright
Had the kidney and the tooth. Just rip it out like a children's book. The kidney and the tooth.
Jason Moore
Or are they superheroes or are they super villains?
Mike Wright
I haven't figured out the plot yet.
Jason Moore
Look out for the molar.
Andy Holloway
Be on the lookout for Andy's next children.
Jason Moore
Here comes by Cuspid.
Andy Holloway
That's.
Mike Wright
See, Mike's in.
Jason Moore
I think Keenan will play, but this is a. You better watch.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, Full. Did not practice on Thursday.
Mike Wright
Would you start Antonio Gates, who had five receptions last week, if Keenan Allen was out? No, but he actually got in the game. He had some snaps.
Jason Moore
But I'll be very, very happy if Mike Williams sits on my roster and Keenan Allen sits.
Mike Wright
No doubt about it.
Andy Holloway
Keenan Allen is out. You can be as bullish as you want to be on Mike Williams. He will have a touchdown guaranteed.
Mike Wright
AJ Green in. DeAndre Hopkins in. Juju in.
Andy Holloway
And great.
Jason Moore
Julio Jones in.
Mike Wright
Larry Fitzgerald in.
Jason Moore
Will Fuller, he's limited, but this is just what he does. He runs too fast for his hamstrings.
Mike Wright
Doug, here's one we'll sit on for a second.
Jason Moore
Doug Baldwin, he says he's good to go.
Mike Wright
He says, well, he's known for coming back quicker from injury. He says he's fine. What's funny is, would you really play Doug Baldwin? Because this is a bit of a Dalvin Cook situation.
Jason Moore
Right.
Mike Wright
You've got not one, but two bad knees. You are coming back for the first time and you've also made plans on your roster most likely over the last few weeks not having Doug Baldwin. So maybe you're starting a Kenny Golladay, a Will Fuller.
Jason Moore
I thought you were talking about the Seahawks, John Brown, their plans of. No, I'm not missing Doug.
Mike Wright
I'm not worried about Baldwin's long term involvement in this offense is going to be hurt. It's going to be painful for Tyler Lockett in the end.
Jason Moore
Yes.
Mike Wright
But this week, do you play Baldwin over those guys? I mentioned Corey Davis. You play him over Corey Davis?
Jason Moore
I would play him over Corey Davis, yes.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. It's going to be dependent for me based on your team and your matchup. Meaning I see Doug Baldwin as a boom bust guy, which is not usually how you view Doug Baldwin. Doug Baldwin's a consistent guy with a high floor. But there is, you have to understand the risk of him going out there and running a couple routes and going, man, the knee flared up and then he's pulled and so you get a complete goose egg. Is there. But you know, you say coming back early from injury, this actually is. He has rested this a very good amount of time for the specific injury. Yeah.
Mike Wright
For the mcl.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. From. From what? At least compared to what pro football doc had originally projected. He was saying that that injury would be about a week. He's taken several off.
Mike Wright
Interesting.
Andy Holloway
So it's one of those things where if he's healthy, he's going to have a great game against Arizona.
Jason Moore
He gets clearance from the team first.
Andy Holloway
Yes. So he's boom bust.
Mike Wright
We didn't mentioned Joe Mixon. We should have mentioned Joe Mixon.
Jason Moore
Sure. He, he's running around, he's saying the same things as Doug Bald.
Mike Wright
And I reminded me of him.
Jason Moore
I do not believe that Mixon will be cleared to play this week, but next week, if he played, if it.
Mike Wright
Was a surprise play, would you say. I would say Geo.
Andy Holloway
Yes. Yes. My start of the week. I'll pivot now to starting Bengals running back.
Jason Moore
So either nice call.
Andy Holloway
It's Geo or it's mix.
Jason Moore
My start of the week is the running back from the AFC West.
Andy Holloway
The good one, the number one, Whoever does best.
Mike Wright
I'll give it to Jason. We've done that before.
Jason Moore
It's a fair call.
Mike Wright
Mixon hasn't practiced, though. I mean, it's a very unlikely he'll play Josh Gordon.
Jason Moore
I believe he'll get in there this week.
Andy Holloway
I do not.
Mike Wright
Randall Cobb.
Jason Moore
This one was bizarre and awesome.
Andy Holloway
That. Whoa, whoa. All right. I'm not saying boo. Boo. Sure.
Mike Wright
I mean, awesome for what?
Andy Holloway
For Geronimo? Allison. Okay.
Mike Wright
Come on.
Andy Holloway
For Monte Adams. Look, Randall Cobb's been out there stinking it up the last couple of weeks, and he's out of the way time. Montgomery.
Mike Wright
Can't wait till you get sick.
Jason Moore
Yeah. We're going to be like, great for the ballers.
Mike Wright
Give him Swede for the show.
Andy Holloway
Dude, I'm feeling sick. Can I take off? I'm feeling my tum tum is a little under the weather. I could.
Mike Wright
Did you have a bad cook?
Andy Holloway
Oh, yes.
Jason Moore
Get bodied.
Mike Wright
I feel like I don't feel bad now that you destroyed Randall Cobb.
Andy Holloway
How's Alshawn Jeffrey looking this week, guys?
Mike Wright
That's a good question.
Andy Holloway
Move on.
Mike Wright
Wait, did we say what happened to Cobb?
Jason Moore
So Randall Cobb.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
The quote from McCarthy. It's unfortunate, but we'll see how it goes. That's ominous.
Andy Holloway
The way that I view it is, you cannot play.
Jason Moore
That's the. In a horror movie. I'll be right back.
Mike Wright
That's right.
Andy Holloway
Randall Cobb has never been one to deal well with injuries or come back fast from injuries.
Mike Wright
Or avoid them.
Andy Holloway
Or avoid them. So I see him as out whether or not he's in.
Mike Wright
Jeffrey.
Jason Moore
He was practicing. Cleared for contact. Missed Thursday's practice. With an illness. Yeah, it's a little weird.
Andy Holloway
I feel like there's air quotes around the illness. I mean, there's no reason to not believe him.
Mike Wright
I don't. I think he'll actually play. That's all I'm going to vote in.
Jason Moore
So would you play him?
Mike Wright
No.
Jason Moore
Okay.
Mike Wright
Not week one. This is my policy. If I can avoid. Now, there are some players you can't avoid that with. Right?
Jason Moore
Sure.
Mike Wright
But if you're coming back from an injury that has kept you out more.
Jason Moore
Than two weeks or all of them.
Mike Wright
Or all of them. Then you be very careful when you come back and play them.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Because you risk it could work out. To be honest. Dalvin Cook owners were probably feeling great. He looked great. He was out there.
Andy Holloway
First half, 10 carries.
Mike Wright
10 carries.
Andy Holloway
The offensive line sucked, but he looked great.
Mike Wright
Yeah. And then he went full like Copperfield.
Jason Moore
And if you have Alshon on your team, you have a starting roster.
Mike Wright
Because you have a starting. You have a.
Jason Moore
For your fantasy lineup. I mean, you are guys that you're playing. So you're okay. You can wait one more week without Alshon.
Mike Wright
All right, let's blitz the tight ends. Rob Gronkowski in, Jimmy Graham in, Jack Doyle.
Andy Holloway
I don't think he's going to play.
Jason Moore
I think he's out, you know.
Mike Wright
Do we have any update, Brooks, on Eric Ebron? Because I know Swoop was taking all the first team reps because both guys were out.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Eric Ebron was also missing practice. He returned yesterday.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Andy Holloway
To full practice off the injury report.
Mike Wright
Take another shot with Ebron this week, guys.
Andy Holloway
I mean, look, the tight ends are.
Mike Wright
It's Ebron or Kittle.
Jason Moore
Kittle.
Andy Holloway
Kittle. Just took me too long.
Mike Wright
Yeah. All right, let's move on here. Foot clan. Remember, game day alerts one hour before the main Sunday kickoff. You can also catch Mike on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Periscope, Twitch on Sunday Live. He comes live to give you advice to make his own decisions on his roster to tilt.
Jason Moore
That's really what I.
Mike Wright
Before your eyes.
Jason Moore
It's just a therapeutic session for me, working through all the kinks of my own life.
Mike Wright
Well, the key to fantasy football is to get other people to agree with your decision so you can both blame them and feel together with what happened. I mean, that's it. If you get people on board with you. Because that's why we get multiple thousands of questions a day. If somebody wants a little pat on the back, just say, that's a good start.
Andy Holloway
That's a really good start.
Mike Wright
I like what you're doing there.
Jason Moore
What is that?
Andy Holloway
That's a weird voice. That was.
Mike Wright
Well, that's. Yeah, that's my voice when I answer questions.
Andy Holloway
Oh, that's good to know.
Mike Wright
I play another character.
Andy Holloway
That's good to know. Here's my advice. Start Todd Gurley. Look excellent. Thank you. Can I let you guys in on something?
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
So I had mentioned. I had mentioned that I had offered a trade of David Johnson, Sony Michelle, Amari Cooper and the number two and a number a second round pick next year for Todd Gurley. And he turned that down.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
But he actually countered with something where I could have received Todd Gurley. But you.
Jason Moore
You declined it.
Andy Holloway
I declined it with raw Gretz. Oh, it was. It was. He replaced Sony with Dalvin Cook. So that's tough. I mean, David Dalvin Cook, Amari Cooper and a two for Todd Gurley.
Mike Wright
Now, you did not know the Sony news or you did.
Andy Holloway
No, this was prior to the Sony.
Mike Wright
News because there's a decent chance Sony outperforms Cook rest of season.
Andy Holloway
I'll take that water bet all year, all day.
Mike Wright
Well, of. Because you have no choice. You don't have Sonny, Michelle. You got Dalvin Cook. You need something.
Andy Holloway
I believe in Dalvin Cook. I don't believe in Sony. Michelle. We've seen Dalvin Cook be awesome.
Mike Wright
I didn't say he will. I said there's a chance.
Andy Holloway
Sure.
Mike Wright
The opportunity will be there. He's not dealing with the injury. Dalvin Cook is dealing with. The team has made it. I'm just saying there's a chance. So there's a world where I would rather trade Cook than Sony. And then you'd have Gurley.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Now, do you regret. I don't know if done that deal. Would you do that deal right now, Mike D.J. cook, Cooper 2 for Gurley.
Jason Moore
As the bystander, I can say yes. But if I'm.
Andy Holloway
If I'm actually.
Jason Moore
These guys are on my team and I'm shipping away what could be two really high level running back assets in a draft pick. I don't know that I would have been able to do it.
Mike Wright
That's a big trade.
Andy Holloway
I love that Amari Cooper in this deal is not even. Get out of here. Cooper just like an added. It's just salt. Cooper is salt and pepper Cooper is purgatory.
Jason Moore
He is full purgatory for fantasy football. You can't trade him. You can't play him and you cannot cut him.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I came up with it.
Jason Moore
He just is there.
Mike Wright
We're going to get into the forecast, but I believe that league should have a Cooper spot. Oh, it's not the ir. It's not the bench. It's a separate spot and only Amari Cooper can go there.
Andy Holloway
And it basically just removes him from the league.
Mike Wright
Right.
Andy Holloway
He's not allowed to go to waivers.
Mike Wright
You can't play him.
Andy Holloway
You can't start him. Just it. Maybe we should just remove him. Maybe we can talk to the guys at espn. Talk to the guys at espn, Yahoo, cbs, my fancy league, and see if we can just have him removed from the player pool. I mean, that would fix a lot of issues.
Mike Wright
Why not?
Andy Holloway
Hey, we're going to take a look at all the matchups before we look at all the NFL matchups. I want to thank today's sponsor, NFL Game Pass and genuinely, I want to thank today's sponsor, NFL Game Pass because I love it.
Mike Wright
You can filter Cooper out of it.
Andy Holloway
I'm thankful for the tool itself. It is so valuable. You guys, if you love watching football and you want to go back and watch the unbelievable game that happened last night between the Rams and the Vikings, you just go to NFL Game Pass and you load it up. You want to watch it quick, the condensed film. You want to watch the amazing routes going on that you can't usually see and you want to watch the All 22 film. You can do that. You want to player search and just look at the Brandon Cooks plays. You can do that. It is such a powerful, important, valuable and fun tool. You will love it. Best of all, you can start a seven day free trial of NFL Game Pass. Give it a whirl. All you have to do is sign up at NFL.com/Fantasy Footballers. That's NFL.com Fantasy Footballers. You will love it. Game on.
Mike Wright
We good to go?
Andy Holloway
Let's do it. Fantasy forecast.
Mike Wright
I just realized we may. We may want to change hanging with Mr. Cooper to Cooper Cop. I mean, at some point, I don't want to lose that drop. We got a little animation on the.
Jason Moore
YouTube side and Cooper cup is very good.
Andy Holloway
Cooper Cup's going to be good for a long time.
Mike Wright
Would you argue that he is everything that Amari Cooper isn't?
Jason Moore
There are very different wide receivers.
Andy Holloway
So then.
Jason Moore
Yes, but also included in that is one of them is good at football.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
And the other one has yet to prove that.
Mike Wright
I will say this, Jason, the world of Bears fans is enraged with you.
Andy Holloway
Oh, man.
Mike Wright
For your Mitch Trubisky conclusions Yesterday, there were YouTubers threatening to unsubscribe. There are those that want to dance upon your grave when he becomes great.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Jay Grizz unfollowed me.
Mike Wright
Jay Grizz. Yeah, that makes sense.
Andy Holloway
The Jay Grizz.
Mike Wright
Wow. I think I have a quote from him.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, he was pretty pissed.
Mike Wright
So look, if Trubisky comes out and becomes the future golf, you're going to. Yeah, you have to eat some crow.
Andy Holloway
We'll go back and take a clip of that and it'll be a funny bit and it'll never happen. Now remember that. I was just saying this because I know what's going to happen this week. I'm going to get so many tweets after this week saying, oh, see, I told you who's good. I think this is a really good matchup for him, specifically this week. He's a streamer candidate, but as far as being a great quarterback, never gonna happen.
Jason Moore
Wow.
Mike Wright
QB pork purgatory for the, for the Bears and that awesome defense. Maybe.
Jason Moore
Could be.
Andy Holloway
I hope not.
Mike Wright
Fantasy forecast. Yesterday we had the first half of the matchups. A reminder if you wondered where the preview was for the Thursday night game because somebody thought we missed it. It was on Wednesday.
Andy Holloway
You missed it.
Mike Wright
Yeah, we do it on Wednesday so that you get the full preview ahead of the Thursday night game. So we do that. The Thursday night game on Wednesday. We do half of the games on on Thursday and we do the second half right now. Dolphins 3 and O taking on the Patriots. Patriots are seven point favorites at home. It's very interesting. I mean, Ryan Tannehill. Listen to this. Average 344 passing yards per game in the last three matchups in Foxborough. Wow. So when he goes on the road and he faces the Patriots, he puts up yardage.
Andy Holloway
Usually that is because the Patriots put up points and you have to throw and keep up. It has been, I believe it is 2003 since the last time that the Patriots have lost three games in a row. It's not going to happen here. They're, you know, they're going to win this game. But could you even imagine if they lost at home to the Dolphins and they're one and I can imagine your victory.
Mike Wright
Oh, you would take a victory job.
Jason Moore
Yeah, of course you would.
Andy Holloway
Jogging pants. He started running right now for sure.
Jason Moore
Limber up.
Andy Holloway
But Ryan Tannehill, you. You bring up his, his past and the offense is looking good. I think he is a streamer candidate. He's.
Mike Wright
Wow.
Andy Holloway
Your stream of the week, right?
Jason Moore
No, it was last week.
Mike Wright
That was last week.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
I would not stream Ryan Tannehill on the road here despite that stat.
Jason Moore
I don't hate it here.
Mike Wright
Here's one of the interesting facts about the Dolphins right now. They've had a lot of fluky wide receiver touchdowns. Their wideouts are averaging 7.8 yards after the catch this season, best in the NFL. The average is about four. I mean, you had the, the tap that pass to Albert Wilson last week. You know, people need to know which wide receivers to even start. Stills, Wilson, Parker, Jakeem Grant with the big plays last week. The Patriots defense has been bad. They're giving up 36.9 fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position. It's not been great. This is kind of how they start the season and you wonder when they're going to get it together because they always do. So if you start one, who do you start?
Andy Holloway
You start Kenny Stills if you're going to start one. I mean he's the guy that is the prototypical down the field wide receiver. I would also be willing to throw Albert Wilson in there. They use him in some creative ways with Adam Gase and he's. He's been able to find the end zone.
Jason Moore
So those are the only flex for me.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, those are the only two guys that I would be willing to start much more so willing to start Kenny Stills because of targets over Albert Wilson.
Jason Moore
And where's your Kenyan Drake temperature at disappointing thus far?
Andy Holloway
Absolutely great matchup. 100%. You have to have been disappointed with Kenya Drake so far. But my temperature is not that cold on Kenyan Drake. I think you could target him in a trade. Last week I believe both Kenyon Drake and Frank Gore in a really weird game. I think they Both had like 5 carries total or each and so it was. They just didn't even attempt to run the ball. And part of that was because like Andy said, those little tap passes that went 70 yards, the trick play that goes 70 yards, when are you going to run the ball? So that's not like Kenyon Drake was benched. That's just the offense wasn't able to be on the field. They didn't need to be yesterday.
Mike Wright
This is my under pressure player. You have to perform in this matchup or I have changed my opinion of your, you know, your season long value. Kenyan Drake a quarter of the way through the season, if he doesn't perform against the team that's giving up the third most rushing yards per game. It's a problem. It's an adjusted viewpoint. So on the, on the Patriots side, you know, how confident Mike, are you in Sony Michelle right now? He's. He's obviously been. He was put in there to be the guy last week. He saw a lot of eight man fronts. He didn't look great. He didn't do anything special, didn't do anything in the passing game. But he has every opportunity on a team that should be very good. So Mike, how do you feel about Sony?
Jason Moore
That's exactly why I'm confident in Sony as a running back too with tremendous upside. It's opportunity. 10 carries in week two that went up to 14 carries with three targets. So 17 total opportunities. Rex Burkhead on the IR. If you somehow missed that news, it's Sony Michelle and James White. This is the first time in a very, very long time that the Patriots running back situation is crystallized. It's two guys. The biggest complaints that people have had about the Patriot system is it's multiple backs. You never know who it's going to be. We know who's going to get the opportunity.
Mike Wright
Kenyon Barner.
Andy Holloway
Sure, sure.
Jason Moore
I mean that would be very Patriots of them to do. But at home a get right game for Tom Brady and the Patriots. I'm very confident in Sony Michelle for fantasy this week.
Mike Wright
Hogan, Gordon Dorsett, any confidence starting a wide out at home? They're seven point favorites. The over under in this game's 48 points. Somebody's going to score. It's not just going to be Gronkowski. It's not just going to be Brady.
Andy Holloway
Miami is not usually a great team to play your wide receivers against. I mean, it might surprise you to realize that they were top five last year in fantasy points given up to the wide receivers. Meaning they were a good defense against wide receivers. Given what's happened with Chris Hogan so far, I'm hesitant. I mean any, any one of these guys could get a touchdown. It's Tom Brady. But I'm hesitant to start them in this matchup. I'm not excited for it. It's Gronk all day. I'm starting Sony Michelle. You know, I'm not doing the wait and see. I'll start him because the volume should be now.
Jason Moore
The hesitance on Hogan and the pass catchers. The Miami Dolphins are ranked 29th in giving up passing yards. So it's. I know they're stopping fantasy points because the touchdowns haven't come through three weeks, but they're giving up tons of yardage.
Andy Holloway
Right. They're giving up a lot of yards to tight ends as well. So Gronk is going to feast.
Mike Wright
Eagles, Titans, both teams two and one. This game's in Tennessee and Tennessee are three and a half point underdogs at home. 41 point over under Carson Wentz. Game number two, Marcus Mariota is going to get the start for Tennessee. I've been the most bullish about Corey Davis's future. I've had people give me some garbage on the old Twitter sphere. Yeah, about Corey Davis thus far. And I look, there is no more Delaney Walker. Jason brought it up yesterday. There's no more Rashard Matthews. He was released yesterday. I don't think that had happened by the time we were talking about it. He had left the team, but now he's been released. And this is the Corey Davis show. This is the Corey Davis opportunity. Jason, put it correctly. If he doesn't do it this year, he's never going to do it. But the targets will be there. I am fine playing Corey Davis in this game as a wide receiver. Three.
Jason Moore
Okay, I can give you a three.
Mike Wright
Sure. With two upside, obviously. And look, Deion Lewis, Derek Henry, disappointing last couple of weeks. We talked through the Jay situation. So I think the headlines here, it's going to come down to confidence level on the Philadelphia side for your starts because of everybody's banged up. I mean, obviously Ertz is out there, right. But Deion Lewis, where's your confidence level with Lewis and Henry?
Andy Holloway
Lewis and Henry confidence level is very low for this matchup. My confidence level in Deion Lewis in general is actually pretty high. I think he's going to have a very good rest of season. He's going to be a great buy low candidate right now. And I mean, if he has a bad week, which I expect he will against the number two ranked Philadelphia Eagles rush defense as far as not, not their rush defense, but fantasy points given up to running back. So that includes dump offs and passes and screens and all of that. It's a tough defense. This is a low score projection from Vegas. I don't think he's going to have a good game. And I mean, Dion Lewis owners are going to want to drop him after three bad weeks in a row. I'm benching him this week. I'm benching Derek Henry this week. Yeah. I mean, I think the only piece that I'm willing to play from the Titans is Corey Davis. On the flip side, by the way.
Mike Wright
Eagles cornerback Ronald Darby giving up the most receiving yards among defensive backs in the NFL right now. The Eagles against wide receivers, they're 22nd in the league, so they have given up yardage to the wide receiver.
Andy Holloway
Right? Yes. They. They are not. Not elite. I'm. I'm weirded out by the Titans defense. Like, I don't know what, I don't know what to make of the Titans. They keep winning these games and it's like, here's. Here's what they're. You. Here's what. I feel like their defense is witchcraft. Oh, yeah. It's just like, why does everybody suck against them? You know, you watch certain defenses and you go, oh man, that defense is just good. They swarm there. I feel like everybody just. The offenses suck. When you play the Titans, I see witchcraft.
Mike Wright
Yeah. I picked up the Titans a week ahead. This is one of the strategies I take if I don't have a lot of fab. So you can piggyback off that idea if you got room on your bench. I like picking up defenses a week early. If I don't have a lot of fab to spin, I pick up the Titans not to play this week, but to play next week against Buffalo because their defense has been pretty darn good. And Josh Allen, as much as I love him, he's prone to make a few mistakes. So. Is that right, Brooks? 49 total defensive points through three weeks.
Andy Holloway
No, I'm sorry, that's a point scored just by the team. Only 49 points.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Well, look, you got to throw out a little bit of what's happened on the offensive side. They have had no opportunity to get into any kind of groove. Your quarterback went out. I'm giving them. I'm giving them grace.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I want to avoid this game. I just. I don't think there's going to be a lot of fantasy relevance.
Mike Wright
I mean, change the channel.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. If you have to start, wince. Okay. If you have to start Aguilar. All right. I mean, Jay. Jay is going to get work, but I don't. There's. There's literally both sides of the ball, including Corey Davis, including Carson Wentz. There's no one I'm excited to start in this game.
Mike Wright
Josh Rosen. Oh, the 1 and 2 Seahawks take on the 03 Cardinals. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. These two for many years battled to top the NFC west and now they're sitting in a home matchup. The Cardinals are as three point underdogs with a 38 and a half point over under. And I'd take the under, you know, Arizona's defense at home against Russell Wilson, you know, if Doug Baldwin doesn't play, I'll take the under in this game. And where do you really have any confidence? I mean, David Johnson, you know, you want to see him perform, but you haven't. And then Josh Rosen, the rookie, gets to start. So, I mean, I play Seattle's defense.
Andy Holloway
I would play both defenses. Just like last week when I said play the Bears, play the Cardinals. This should be a low scoring game because it's in Arizona. The Cardinals defense is a quality stream this week. We had our trainers this morning talking about all their great defenses that they had that have really bad matchups this week and they're like, do I play them? And you know, when you've got Seahawks defense is on the waivers all over the place Cardinals are on the waivers just about every place so you could pick up and stream these Ds. The player that I'm probably the most confident in, I mean of course I'm still 100% starting David Johnson. He's. Despite how much he's, you know, destroyed your hopes and dreams of what he could become, he's actually had two of his three weeks be pretty fantasy relevant a touchdown in both. But Chris Carson. Yeah, is I think, a guy you should be starting. The Cardinals have been destroyed so far this year on the ground. Adrian Peterson, Jordan Howard, these guys have feasted. And so Chris Carson 32 carries over 100 yards last week. I think he's going to keep the train running.
Jason Moore
I want to say on the Cardinal side of the ball, if you have a burner spot and you're looking to do a waiver wire grab, see what happens through the weekend. Christian Kirk is one of my favorite ads go heading into this week. Last week, eight targets, 90 yards on seven receptions. Let's see what happens with Josh Rosen. I think he could, I think Kirk could end up being one of the hot waiver wire pickups this week and hopefully he does because the Cardinals are tied with the Cowboys as the only teams where their wide receiver cores have not scored a touchdown. Yeah, and that's, that's assuming that that Tavon is. Tavon Austin is marked as a run.
Andy Holloway
What do you do with Larry Fitzgerald? That's one of the biggest names people want to know.
Jason Moore
Oh, man, he's at home.
Mike Wright
You just hold him for this game. You see what happens. Yeah, I would try not. No, I would try not to play him. I try not to. I mean there are a lot of players I'd rather play than Larry this week because there's too much unknown with Josh Rosen behind center. The lack of confidence in Mike McCoy finding opportunity for Larry Fitzgerald. He is a hold and see if something changes this week for Josh Rosen. And then look, you're not going to get a lot of value for him trying to trade him anyway. So I'd make a spot on the bench for him. All right, let's move on. Browns, Raiders. The 111 1. Excuse me, I'm not used to saying the 1 at the beginning. Yes, 1. 1 and 1. Browns take on the 03 starter. Raiders.
Jason Moore
Really?
Andy Holloway
Now the beginning is very often 1. It's really the end that is different. Right. Because there's a lot of like one and two teams, one and three teams.
Mike Wright
We're not for the Browns.
Jason Moore
Yeah, that's what he meant my point.
Mike Wright
Was the Browns that you don't normally start the sentence with a victory that is absolute. And look, they, they're playing the winless Raiders. The Raiders are two and a half point home favorites in this game. With Baker Mayfield's debut as the full time starter now in Cleveland, a lot of opportunity for obviously Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway to be the target. What absorbers? Yeah, let's go with that.
Jason Moore
Yeah, that's, that's totally it.
Mike Wright
Carlos Hyde, good work behind center yesterday. I believe Todd Haley came out and said, look, it's been hard to get Duke Johnson, Nick Chubb carries because the way Carlos Hyde succeeds is through volume by getting him a lot of work in the offense.
Andy Holloway
He gets better with more touches. He was saying. And Todd Haley has a history of using a single back and watching them get stronger.
Mike Wright
So I Mean, Carlos Hyde, 22.3 touches per game right now for Carlos Hyde, which is six in the league. So that backs up that statement.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, Carlos Hyde is, he's a good running back. He is a good running back. He's in a good system. He's 28. So he's a couple years away from the 30 mark. I don't think they're going away from Hyde at all this. If he doesn't get injured, he's going to be the guy rest of season. Nick Chubb is not going to be encroaching in the second half of the season. You know, it's almost a shame that Hyde had the multi touchdown game because he is, he's a trade for Target. But some owners are probably going to be like, I don't know, I need to wait.
Mike Wright
It's really the opportunity for Hyde. That's all, that's all I care about. It's the opportunity. I mean, he's not been good this year. He's been good for fantasy.
Jason Moore
Right.
Mike Wright
But he's 3.3 a carry and that's only because last game he was 4.3 a carry. He was 2.8 the game before, 2.7. We'll see what he does with Baker, I mean, but as soon as Baker.
Jason Moore
Came in, Carlos Hyde, he was getting things done.
Mike Wright
Yes. No, I, look, I traded for him. I agree with all that. It's just one of those things that I remember the refrain was Tyrod Taylor helps running backs. He's going to be great with Tyrod Taylor. And then he was bad with Tyrod Taylor, so. But it's the opportunities, 23 carries, 16 carries, 22 carries, that's not going away. Based on usage and what you know, their offense should be able to move the ball more. Red zone opportunities. Let's talk about Marshawn lynch. Right now. He's fourth most in the league in red zone carries. He's converted into three touchdowns. Converted those into three touchdowns. He's pretty touchdown dependent right now. Isn't that how he feels?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, yeah, he does. But I. But he's also pretty touchdown like confident.
Jason Moore
I feel like there's always touchdown absorber.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Mike Wright
That was a.
Andy Holloway
You did it. That was right. Yeah. I mean I would. I love Marshawn. I think in this matchup, the Browns right now, they're averaging almost 25 points per game. Giving up to the running back position at home favored. You have to start. I mean Marshawn Lynch I feel like is a must start.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I think the game script will be one that Marshawn lynch should see plenty of volume with an opportunity to score.
Mike Wright
What do you guys think about Callaway, my start of the week?
Jason Moore
I think he's extremely interesting. He's out since Josh Gordon gate whatever happened there where he had the. He was inactive and then he was going to be cut and then he was traded. Antonio Calloway is the wide receiver too and he is the big play wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns. It's a huge upgrade getting Baker Mayfield here. We talked about last week when Tyrod was in. In the first half, Callaway was running free on at least two plays where Tyrod threw an errant pass that were. These were surefire touchdowns that I think Baker can make the throw a little bit better. So Callaway is very interesting to me.
Mike Wright
Jason has Jared Cook as the start of the week. Do you like David and Joku to have a. An improved performance with Baker? I mean both his catches last week with Baker, the middle of the field is someplace that Tyrod was avoiding, but Baker was diving into.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I think that Njoku gets a bump up. This isn't necessarily the perfect matchup for him, but it's not a bad one. So I mean Njoku is in that group with Ebron and with, you know, all those guys where it's like you can start him but you're just not excited and you're touchdown dependent. But there's 20 of those type of tight ends and there's only four or.
Jason Moore
Five that aren't sure in Joku. For me, much like Christian Kirk, I want to try and stash him if I can. I don't like having two tight ends on my roster, but if you have one of Those burners unfortunate suboptimal situations with your tight end. I would try to get Njoku on the back of my bench. He's available in over 30% of leagues over on ESPN. So it takes take a peek, he might be there.
Mike Wright
He's a lot like Howard in as much as he's got all the physical talent in the world. Just needs that opportunity to do it. So I don't mind stashing him and seeing what happens with Baker. I mean, you have unknown situation there. Can you handle the amount of sideline camera views of Hugh Jackson and Jon Gruden in one game?
Andy Holloway
No. No, I can't.
Jason Moore
Oh, it's going to be great. No, it's going to be fantastic.
Andy Holloway
I'm going to be wearing blackout glasses.
Jason Moore
This is must watch television.
Mike Wright
Who can outmaneuver the other Look, Amari.
Andy Holloway
Cooper, we make all the jokes in the world. You can start Amari Cooper, he had 10.
Jason Moore
You're pulling him out of this.
Mike Wright
Speak for yourself.
Andy Holloway
I will speak for myself.
Jason Moore
You're speaking because he's on your team and you're going to start it.
Andy Holloway
No, no, I. Look, I have actually benched Amari Cooper because I had other options.
Jason Moore
Why are you playing him this week?
Andy Holloway
No, what I just said, I have benched him this week because I have other better options.
Mike Wright
So when you said what are those options? When you said you can, did you mean it more as like the system will allow it Currently.
Andy Holloway
Here's what I mean. I mean that Amari Cooper, everyone wants a Benjamin because he sucked last week. But this is what Amari Cooper does. He zigs and he zags, he has big games and he has bad games. He had five targets last week, 10 the week before. He's at home. This is not a tough matchup. And if you're just chasing whatever happened last week, you're never going to get the big blow up games. So what I'm saying is that if, if you're, if you're, you know, toiling and you're going, man, I don't have a good option, but I don't want to play him. Then just play him. He still has the ability to have a good game.
Jason Moore
We're going to move on. But who is the flex that you're playing over Cooper this week?
Andy Holloway
Who is the Tyler Lockett. No, who is the flex that I basically played over? Well, now it's Alex Collins. Alex Collins is the one that's in my flex.
Mike Wright
I have 1 and 2 49ers against the 1 and 2 Chargers. Chargers are 10 point favorite CJ Beathard behind center for the 49ers. This is a 46 1/2 point over under. The Chargers defense has been eviscerated this year. Without Joy Bosa and their elite cornerbacks, this could be an interesting game. I don't want fantasy owners to be afraid of 49ers players that you would ordinarily start. So George Kittle, I'm still okay with.
Jason Moore
Yep.
Mike Wright
Matt Breida, who right now is 8.4 yards per touch, best in the league amongst running backs.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Jason Moore
And we talked about earlier in the week how Carlos Hyde was getting over eight targets a game when C.J. beathard was the starting quarterback last year.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Marquis Goodwin. What do you feel like? Can you start him as a wide receiver? Three this week?
Andy Holloway
I'm not. I would prefer to. Whoa. Oh. Over here, man. Look, I would prefer not to start George Kittle. He's again in that group of Titans. I would definitely prefer to not start Goodwin. Garcon.
Jason Moore
So you're Matt Burrito.
Mike Wright
Only you disagreed with my statement that.
Andy Holloway
That is what I was pulling up is that I actually do. I do not Want to play 49ers not named Matt Breida. However, I very much want to play Matt Breida. So it's kind of a one of those situations where I don't want, I don't feel like I'm anti 49ers because I'm so in on Breida. But yeah, I mean, Beathard, he doesn't improve things for good for any pass catchers other than Burrito. He doesn't improve it and they haven't been that good already. So what are you really hoping for here?
Mike Wright
Didn't it. I mean, he did. He was good for Kittle.
Andy Holloway
He was okay.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
I mean they, they, they were college buddies.
Jason Moore
Yep.
Mike Wright
Yeah. Last season Beathard played, I believe, six games. Completion percentage of 54%.
Andy Holloway
Yuck.
Mike Wright
Four touchdowns in six games.
Andy Holloway
Yuck.
Mike Wright
Six interceptions.
Andy Holloway
Yuck.
Mike Wright
And a passer rating of 69.
Andy Holloway
Yuck. Well, nice.
Mike Wright
But no, it's his pass. His completion percentage was nice. We already talked about Keenan Allen. We expect him to play. You're going to play Melvin Gordon, Philip Rivers, you're going to play Mike Williams in this matchup. There aren't a lot of question marks at home for the Los Angeles Chargers when you are 10 point favorites.
Andy Holloway
Being 10 point favorites, I think that you might be able to play Austin Eckler.
Mike Wright
Yeah, I guess that's the question.
Andy Holloway
He's been pretty solid this season and this could be the type of situation where, you know, maybe Melvin Gordon gets too early touchdowns and he's got a lot of work and they're ahead 2, 3 scores, and you say, hey, let's. Let's give Melvin Gordon a little bit of rest. Or Melvin Gordon goes, oh, I got a headache. I need to come out.
Jason Moore
I agree. I agree that Echler's sneaky this week.
Mike Wright
A sneaky Echler?
Andy Holloway
Yep. Yeah, I mean, it's. It's just like Sneckler. Look, Eckler has five carries, four carries and 11 carries. The 11 carries came when they were playing Buffalo and they had the big lead. It's basically what I'm describing. He's had decent games and he looks great on the field.
Jason Moore
If Keenan Allen is out. We've already spoke of our love for Mike Williams, but what about the other Williams, Tyrell Williams? Are you interested in playing him as a wide receiver?
Andy Holloway
3.
Jason Moore
If Keenan Allen is unfortunately out.
Andy Holloway
If he's out, then sure, I'm not. I'm not happy. But I'm. I'm willing. I mean, the targets will be there.
Mike Wright
All right. The two and one saints take on the one and two giants. The giants are three and a half point underdogs at home, but this over under is 50 and a half points because the Saints can't stop anyone right now.
Jason Moore
Giving up is juicy.
Mike Wright
Giving up a solid. It's a heavy 55 game. They're just coming to me. But 55 fantasy points a game to the wide receiver position for the Saints, that's dead last in the league. They're also dead last against quarterbacks. That's why I like Eli, obviously, Beckham, but I love Sterling Shepard in this matchup. I think you can start him. You have no Evan Ingram, who is out. So Shepard, Beckham and Barkley are going to be the offense for Eli Manning. And being that it's at home, I think you're going to see very good performances. Now, is Eli going to outperform Cousins last night? Probably not anymore. So if you played Eli over him like I told you to, I don't think you're going to be disappointed. I think Eli's going to give you a good game, but probably won't be as good as this.
Jason Moore
This matchup is crazy. It should have a lot of points. I'm buying into the 50 point over and I'm firing up Giants if I can. The biggest question for me on the Saint side of the ball is Benjamin Watson. Jason would. So you're not super interested in George Kittle. Would you play someone deeper like Benjamin Watson over Kittle.
Andy Holloway
No, I don't think I would play.
Jason Moore
Benjamin Watson 71 yards last week.
Andy Holloway
Right. Look, he can get it done. But last week was the Atlanta Falcons a much, much, much better offense. And I think that the over is going to happen. I think this is going to be a high scoring game and I like it. But the Giants aren't the same high powered offense that Matt Ryan's Atlanta Falcons were in Atlanta and so the need for him to have 70 plus yards isn't going to be there. I don't think he has the down the field ability quite the same as he did a couple years ago. I love Benjamin Watson, but he's. I think he's just such a limit. He reminds me in a matchup like this of a few years ago, Dennis Pitta, where he led the league in receptions. He was at the tight end position and he was pretty irrelevant for fantasy.
Jason Moore
Sure. Ted Ginn's worth a flyer too.
Mike Wright
That's what I was going to ask you on that side of the ball. Ted Ginn, you feel okay about it?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, yeah. And Sterling Shepard, I know we briefly mentioned this week, Love him. I'm starting him over a lot of guys that I like. You know, I have him ahead of Kenny Golladay, who I like. I have him ahead of Tyler Boyd, who I like. I think Sterling Shepard is a really good play this week.
Mike Wright
I think that I'm not going to. I already made an almost upset yesterday. I think the Giants win the game.
Andy Holloway
Whoa.
Mike Wright
I think the Giants win. I like what I saw from them last week. So I think they win the game. For what it's worth, in 2015, when these two teams met, New Orleans won 52 to 49 and these two quarterbacks had a golf.
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Mike Wright
Thousands game. They combined for 855 yards.
Jason Moore
I remember it well. It was, it was a lot of points.
Andy Holloway
If that happens again, Benjamin Watson will be absolutely fine.
Mike Wright
Yeah, Watson's very interesting. I mean we brought him up. I, you know, he's interesting. All right. The 2 and 1 Ravens take on the one 1 and 1 Steelers. Steelers are three point favorites at home, 51 point over under. And there are a lot of players in this game that are interesting. You're starting Big Ben, James Conner, Antonio Brown, juju, Smith, Schuster. There are decisions to make on the Pittsburgh side regarding Vance McDonald and Jesse James. Are you confident enough after this monster performance by Vance McDonald to throw him out there? You know, clearly the Steelers utilized them. He did what they hoped. You know, he could do, but we haven't seen it for an extended period of time. Where's your confidence level in Vance and the Vance dance?
Jason Moore
I think he's a fine. A fine streaming option.
Mike Wright
You're not Kittle or Vance.
Jason Moore
I would still go with George Kittle. I'm going to take the snap.
Mike Wright
Watson. Ben Watson in that matchup against the Giants or Vance. Ooh, I probably take Watson.
Jason Moore
Yeah, I probably would as well. For all the damage you did. Vance McDonald still only played on 48 and a half percent of the snaps last week.
Mike Wright
Crabtree or Brown? On the other side of the ball?
Jason Moore
John Brown.
Andy Holloway
John Brown is. I was talking to you. Yeah, we were talking this morning at the gym.
Jason Moore
Awesome to see it happen.
Andy Holloway
I'm hesitant. Like, I don't want to say how much I love John Brown this week because it's. That's one of those fires I just want to keep covered because it could certainly burn me. But I mean, how do you not start John Brown? He's playing outstanding football. Joe Flacco's averaging 300 yards and two touchdowns a game. The Pittsburgh Steelers have been terrible. They're, they're, you know, 40 points a game to wider. Steelers got the most deep targets in.
Mike Wright
The league, 18 and a half yards per completion.
Andy Holloway
It seems like a perfect matchup.
Mike Wright
How perfect is it more perfect than Kenny Golladay this week?
Andy Holloway
Yes. I prefer John Brown to Kenny Golladay. That's. I actually, I mean, I just, I just listed some.
Mike Wright
I'm trying to decide. I'm trying to decide between Golladay and John Brown this week.
Jason Moore
I get it because of the matchup, but I would still go with Golladay.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I mean, this is why I was saying. I'm hesitant to say it because it doesn't feel good. And I mean, John Brown has a history of, you know, kind of disappointing when he's.
Jason Moore
You know what else doesn't feel good?
Mike Wright
Joe.
Jason Moore
You can stream Joe Flacco.
Mike Wright
Joe Flacco is averaging 296 passing yards and two touchdowns a game right now. And the Steelers secondary, it's a tertiary or something. It's not. That's not what they need.
Jason Moore
Joe Flacco has been very fantasy relevant now for a pretty solid stretch of games in dating even into back. Back to last year.
Andy Holloway
Look, early in the off season, as soon as the draft was over, you know, we brought up that Lamar Jackson might just light a little bit of a fire under Joe Flacco to throw. Joe Flacco used to have a great deep ball that was like his own. He was a one trick pony. He was just a deep ball thrower and every year he just went shorter and shorter and shorter and became Alex Smith and was fantasy irrelevant. But now they got some weapons that can get down the field like John Brown and Lamar Jackson. Similar to Pat Mahomes coming in last season behind Alex Smith. Forcing Alex Smith to throw the ball deeper. I think Joe Flacco is, you know, he's a decent play this week. It's crazy.
Jason Moore
I agree.
Mike Wright
Monday Night Football, we're all excited for this one. That three and oh Chiefs, Pat Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes taking on the two and one Denver Broncos. Broncos are four and a half point home underdogs which is wild considering it just tells you how well the Chiefs are playing. This is a 55 and a half.
Andy Holloway
That's the highest over under I can remember seeing in a long time of.
Jason Moore
The how many number of points we've hit the 55 drop.
Mike Wright
Yeah, that's true too. How many of those points are the Chiefs? Is the question.
Andy Holloway
A lot of them. Yeah. I mean this is going to be a fun the fact that there are so many fantasy relevant players on Monday Night Football. The matchups aren't going to be done on Sunday because the swings that can happen in this game are going to be great at home. Assuming you're down as the Broncos, I think Philip Lindsey projects to be a phenomenal play.
Mike Wright
Would you. Would you say like start of the week?
Andy Holloway
Yes.
Jason Moore
So would I. I'm into it.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
The Chiefs have given up 111 receiving yards to running backs. That's their average. So they, they don't really, they don't pay attention when the receivers are when the running backs run out and catch the ball. We talked quite a bit about Cream Hunt earlier this year. You're obviously starting him, but maybe your expectations for him over the next few weeks. If he doesn't get the targets, it's probably going to pull down his baseline.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, that's a low base.
Jason Moore
Boom boom boom boom boom. No, Tyree.
Andy Holloway
Look and reasons, reasons like that the passing yards that can go to the running back in addition to Emmanuel Sanders and all those. That's why Case Keenum is my stream of the week. Emmanuel Sanders is my start of the week. I really believe that the Broncos are going to be able to keep up. You know, they're going to keep up behind but they're going to pace and try to come back and they're going to have yards and scores and this is just going to be A fun fantasy game. I want to start everybody. Demarys Thomas, who's been very.
Mike Wright
You want to start Royce Freeman?
Andy Holloway
Yeah, I think you. I think in this game you could start both Royce Freeman and Philip Lindsey.
Mike Wright
And you were talking about demarius just now.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, demarius has been disappointing. You're going to start him and I think he's going to rebound this week. I mean, there's. Is there a player here that you wouldn't start? I mean, does the, does the Broncos defense on the road, does that give you hesitation like, okay, let's not start Sammy Watkins? Well, they're at home.
Mike Wright
Denver's at home.
Andy Holloway
That's what I'm saying.
Mike Wright
Oh, okay.
Andy Holloway
I'm saying the Chiefs are on the road.
Mike Wright
Okay.
Andy Holloway
Sammy Watkins.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Andy Holloway
You starting Sammy Watkins?
Mike Wright
No, that's like those. There are those out there that said ban Robert woods, can't do it again. Brandon Cooks, Cooper cup, you can start them all. And the fire, the fire is wide enough and hot enough to deliver.
Jason Moore
Case Keenum, though, it's a lot of absorption.
Andy Holloway
Now, let me bring up. Let's see a name. Jeff Heirman. What I mean, because Jake Butt. Jake Butt is on the ir has another season ending injury. So he's the only tight end in town. He had four targets last week. Care. Yeah, I agree.
Mike Wright
I don't Jake, but Jake Butt had eight catches in three games. I mean.
Jason Moore
Yep. I completely agree.
Andy Holloway
All right.
Mike Wright
Case Keenum, your stream of the week, Jason. Chiefs defense, look, they're out there on the field so much. I mean, it takes one or two plays for the Chiefs right now on offense. Some injury updates since the show started. Before we jump into Daily Dose, Bill Belichick said we'll see when talking about Josh Gordon today and whether he'll be ready to play against the Dolphins. Lyndon Fernet was a full participant in practice today Friday, but is still efficiently questionable for the game. Joe Mixon is out officially and Gio Bernard will be in and then A.J. green has practiced in full. So that's great news for A.J. green owners.
Andy Holloway
Oh, and this one. Doug Baldwin will be ready to go Sunday against the Cardinals. This comes from Pete.
Jason Moore
I feel like we missed a really opportune spot here for the news drop.
Mike Wright
Oh, you mean.
Andy Holloway
Oh.
Jason Moore
During his weekly radio interview today, Pete Carroll indicates Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin will be ready to go Sunday versus the card. He looks great. He looked great. He was explosive. We're really excited for him to play in this game.
Mike Wright
There's a little stranger things feel to that. You notice that when that Comes in. It's a synth. Yeah. So are we. We ready to get into the daily dose?
Jason Moore
We are.
Mike Wright
All right, let's do it.
Andy Holloway
The daily dose brought to you by draft.
Mike Wright
I want to let the Foot Clan know as we head into yet another QB only draft. I don't just want to let him know that I won last week, which, I mean, I do. I do want to let him know that maybe I'm more importantly. Mike lost again and we owe him three waters. But we're taking the steps necessary to put some more of those water bets out there on the YouTube.
Jason Moore
Yeah. Like I got a scuba suit.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
Mike. Mike is gonna be snorkel. You ever let me ask you this question? You ever been drowned before?
Jason Moore
At least three times.
Mike Wright
Oh, okay. So you know what? It's coming.
Jason Moore
Yeah.
Mike Wright
But we're gonna do that. We're gonna put those videos out there. We're gonna pay out the water bets.
Andy Holloway
Who gets first pick?
Mike Wright
I believe that's you, Jason. And you're saying that to brag.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
When you randomly get selected as first, you are bragging.
Andy Holloway
I'm just saying. I get Pat Mahomes. I mean, you know, the draft hasn't started yet necessarily, but I, you know, you know who the number one quarterback is going to be right now. You stay in those magma. Lava, just particles and you. You get scorched by the heat. That is.
Mike Wright
Wow. You really. Yeah. You're. You're a wordsmith. That's what they call you.
Andy Holloway
Thanks.
Mike Wright
All right.
Jason Moore
I was in the. I'm in the middle. The meat of this draft sandwich.
Mike Wright
Yeah.
Jason Moore
And I was sticking with Drew Brees. Love that. Over, under. I also love Drew Brees. Unlike Jason Moore.
Mike Wright
I'm going to go with a couple of tried and trues. Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady. I like the matchups. They're both at home. They both have opportunities to give you big solid weeks. And I'll take.
Andy Holloway
Oh, man.
Jason Moore
And I'm grabbing Matt Ryan.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. I'm really upset about that.
Jason Moore
Talk about staying in the Flames. Matt Ryan's been fantastic.
Andy Holloway
Yeah, Matt Ryan has been great. That's who I was hoping gets back to me. Unfortunately, he didn't. So I'm going to go with a pack of players that have also been great. Ben Roethlisberger at home is phenomenal. Love him. I'm taking him. I'm also going with Philip Rivers against San Francisco. I think I'm fine with those.
Jason Moore
And I'm taking the ceiling of desean Watson. He gets to play the Indianapolis Colts. That defense is not scare.
Andy Holloway
Me.
Jason Moore
Watson was finally performing for fantasy and Will Fuller should be active. So I like it.
Andy Holloway
Am I allowed to draft Jared Goff?
Jason Moore
Unfortunately, you can, but you would take zero points because he's not playing on.
Mike Wright
By the way, you can play with us on draft.com Ballers each and every week. I'm taking Andy Dalton. Mike started the week and then I'm just going to, you know, why not? Why not a little Fitz magic.
Andy Holloway
Yeah.
Mike Wright
I'm going to throw them in there. Even though it's the Bears, I know that Fitzpatrick will throw the ball. D. He may have to do it in two seconds, but he's going to do it.
Jason Moore
And I'm going to. I'm going to complete the New York Giants versus Saints matchup.
Mike Wright
I love that.
Jason Moore
So if that game goes off, this, this matchup will be over.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. Look, with the news of Doug Baldwin coming back, I am going to snag Russell Wilson against Arizona. I think he's going to have have himself a good time.
Jason Moore
He should have a nice mediocre game.
Andy Holloway
Yes. No, I think Russell Wilson, if Doug Baldwin is healthy, is going to do well.
Mike Wright
And would you play Doug Baldwin based on that news over Keelan Cole this week?
Jason Moore
Yeah, easily.
Mike Wright
Would you play him over Marvin Jones this week?
Jason Moore
That one's questionable.
Mike Wright
Hey guys, I just finished our draft and added Joe Flacco to my roster.
Jason Moore
Yeah, because I feel I said Baker Mayfield because I want to have fun on Sunday. Yeah.
Mike Wright
So that is it for the draft. That's funny. They have a new Snake draft recap page here. Top pick Patrick Mahomes. Mr. Irrelevant. Joe Flago.
Andy Holloway
Nice.
Mike Wright
They throw that in there. So that's kind of funny.
Andy Holloway
Yeah. I got Pat Mahomes, Philip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger, Russell Wilson and Carson Wentz was my final pick.
Mike Wright
Rogers, Brady, Dalton, Fitzpatrick, Flacco.
Jason Moore
I got Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, Deshaun Watson, Eli Manning and Baker Mania himself.
Mike Wright
Yeah, might as well have some fun.
Andy Holloway
