This is the fantasy football podcast. It is me, Joey P, Joe P. Zappia and today we're going to take an early look at 12 sleepers that are very popular right now. In the early going we got best ball drafts kind of happening. Things are percolating. It's post draft season, rookie drafts are going on in Dynasty. So we're going to talk about some of these names. They're getting some early helium and whether or not you should be inflating them as well on onto your rosters to help us get through. And we got Scott Bachman here, one of the hosts here of our college football content and of course over here on Fantasy Pros as well. And our special guest today, one of the godfathers of fantasy football, one of my mentors, one of my heroes, one of my favorite bald brothers, the football die Hard. Bob Harris is here from Sirius XM Radio joining us. Bob, it's great to see you my friend. I know this is kind of like a little bit of a lull here. So how does Bob Harris keep himself busy this time of year before we really get into training camp? But it's post draft. What's the Bob Harris schedule look like?

So we're going to start at the quarterback position with two guys that are getting some early love. Now, the off season love for Malik Willis was really percolating. Right. Because he was a free age and people were speculating where could he be? Maybe he could be a Pittsburgh Steeler. Maybe he could end up here or there. He ended up on arguably the worst team in football. It's possible because the roster's been gutted. They had 11 draft picks, they got a new head coach. They don't have a lot of offensive weapons. The best offensive weapon they do have is Devon Achan, who could very well end up holding out. And we all know sometimes those holdouts go too long and guys get hurt. It's a whole mess there in Miami. So I know there's a lot of early love for Malik Willis and I get it. He's a rushing quarterback. That's a lot of fantasy points. Even if it's ugly, who cares? He had some really good spot starts there with the Green Bay Packers. But Bob, I'm going to hit you with Malik Willis first because I want to know here what you think about Malik Willis in terms of his sleeper ability. Do you think he can be a low end QB one? Is he somebody that you're targeting in super flex drafts regardless of the fact that maybe the Dolphins offense just isn't quite super thrilling?

Yeah. Like I'm not afraid to dive into. Well, at least take a taste of poor offenses. Right. I'm just not diving deep. Right. I'll skim the top. Devon Hn, I think is. And I was happy that he showed up for, you know, workouts, voluntary sessions when he didn't have to like to sign a good faith. But. But I'm old enough to remember the last time a Green Bay Packer quarterback took a very narrow band of solid performances and turned it into a big payday and a temporary starting job in Seattle. Matt Flynn. You're right.

So I don't want to get too far overboard. But. But like Willis has looked good, right. In 11 appearances with Green Bay, three stars, 42 carries, 261 yards and three scores. That's what I'm looking at. He was good as a passer. I Know, he was fantastic. I mean really good. But. But Ian Hartits had a number. Like if you look at since 2014, 31 to 34 quarterbacks who had 100 carries finished his top 12 quarterbacks. Like, am I thinking Malik Willis is going to get 100 carries? I am. Or at least something reasonably there. So yes. So if you find yourself at the tail end of the quarterback two lists, I think he's one with upside. I think there are a handful of guys I like in that range though, so I don't know that I feel like I need to take a chance on him. But I do want some exposure and I've gotten some in early best balls. But yeah, don't overplay your hand. But that rushing equity is going to give him at least some upside, especially in this is it. I mean, clearly it's a rebuild going on in Miami.

So Capital R. A capital R for the rebuild. All right, Boggs, the ECR has him as QB19. You have him a little bit higher, QB16. So let's talk about why you're a couple spots higher in consensus and then talk to me about that rushing equity that he brings. Is it enough despite some of the deficits that offense has around him in terms of personnel?

I think it is. But Bob, I want to ask you first, did his first pitch at the Marlins game affect his stock in any way? I mean, it was an awful.

I did some research. You should find Joe Burrows, you know, first pitch. I mean, like, turns out quarterbacks aren't necessarily super great baseball throwers. But honestly, you see something like that, you're just thinking, oh, man, that's a, that's an inauspicious start to the whole thing. But, but, but I do think, you know, I thought he was a, I mean, he was a good passer, right? It wasn't horrible. The passing numbers were good. But it's just such a narrow band that we're hanging our hat on there.

Yeah, he started one week and he was quarterback three. So I like that he started two games for the packers in 2024 when Love went down on week one. He was ninth in points over those two weeks. And you know, this is. We can't forget the rushing upside as Bob mentioned. You know, it was a great stat from hardest. The, you know, any player, any quarterback with 100 rush attempts finishes in the top 12. This is a guy his last two years in college, he had 22, 63 rushing yards and 27 rushing touchdowns at Liberty. Right now it's Liberty lower competition. All that Stuff, especially back when he played. But you know, this guy's had, he's waited and let's not forget also Matt Hasselbeck was a Packers backup for a little bit. You know, way, way better results than Matt Flynn. He took his team to the Super Bowl.

I think it's also fair to say that, you know, coaching matters and it mattered for Jordan Love to a degree, although we haven't seen him hit the high end again. But, but sitting behind a starter and working with a good coaching staff can do wonders. I went team check the numbers. He completed 78% of his passes for 972 yards, six touchdowns, no interceptions in those 11 games. The three, three big appearances, three starts. So I mean the passing numbers were there, but again, yeah, I think betting on those, he also had three rushing touchdowns in those games. And that's, that's again what we're going to hang our hat on here.

Yeah, I just rewatched the Malik Willis first pitch again. Two takeaways. The first one is guys always get screwed up throwing for the mound that, you know, all these big time athletes, they think I'm gonna go up on the mound and throw the first pitch and they don't realize that it really kind of throws off your, your, your throwing motion there. Also it's a good reminder that Malik Willis can't throw a good deep ball. So that was also kind of a good reminder there.

Let's also not give them excuses. I've seen gymnasts go out there and do a double back flip and throw a better.

That is also Simone Biles, they're a much better first pitch for sure, 100% than Malik will. So Malik Wills obviously with that rushing equity, if you can hit that with golden number that Bob and Scott were talking about, clearly he's going to crack that, that top 12ish kind of scenario, which is really interesting too because if you are somebody where you know you're late in Super Flex draft, right, and it comes down to you in a first round and there's a Jameer Gibbs or a, or you know, Jamar Chase or somebody big like that, or Bijan makes it down to you go, well, I'm going to take him. And then you got to make up some room at quarterback. There's a way to do it again. Might be a little ugly, but fantasy points are fantasy points at the end of the day. Let's talk about the end of the season into now 2026 for Tyler Schuck. Next quarterback I want to talk about on this list and only one of two that we're going to talk about today. Tyler Schuck is a guy here, Boggs, that I think, you know, took a lot of heat because of the age last year. But age ain't nothing but a number. Bob Harris serves that. I show that. And so does Tyler Schuck. That's right. And Tyler Schuck made really good progress as the season went on. I think Kelmore is a good offensive mind. The Jordan Tyson acquisition is good. The Travis Hn acquisition, also a good one. There's a lot more. I'm working, I'm trying really hard, trying to be better. I think that the Saints are doing a really good job of slowly building this into something really reputable. But how does that translate to fantasy, in your opinion, when you're looking at Tyler Schuck in 2026?

Yeah, I see him in a tier, right. And I think that's where a lot of people have him. So I am lower than the ECR on Tyler Shuck, but I don't feel like I. I don't have. I'm not negative on Tyler Shock. He had. I was so wrong on him coming in. I thought, I don't know, man. This looks like the Saints limping at this. We were supposed to have a good QB class in 2022, so I thought this might be just drafting your future backup. But Chuck went out there and was great. So he is the guy now in. In his starts at the end of the year, QB 12 in points per game as a starter. And they added Tyson, Lance and Chen.

Yeah, Lance, too. I like Lance.

So, you know, I have him in a tier between 19 and 25. So I have him. The two guys I think in ECR that are below him, that I have him above right now are Baker and C.J. stroud. It's just I feel like I trust those teams more than I trust the Saints to be better. I expect CJ Stroud to get better with better offensive line play. You know, Baker was really hot until the injury last year, so I have him behind those two guys, but in the same tier. And if you have him in that tier of 19 to 25, I have no issues higher than that. I start to feel a little queasy.

All right, well, obviously Shuck is much more of a super flex conversation, whereas Malik Willis could kind of scratch that top 12, depending on how things break for him. So, Bob, what are your thoughts on what you saw to Shuck towards the end of the last year and how some of these new additions to this roster. Now, again, sometimes that takes a little bit longer to come to fruition. But the more I watch Bryce Land's tape, the more I like him. Tyson's a matter of not talent, but health. Stay on the field. And Travis Atian or he Chan. I see. I see. I reverted back. I already screwed it up. Is clearly coming off one of his best seasons. So all of a sudden, like, there's a lot of help here for Tyler Schuck. So how can that elevate him in fantasy, in your opinion?

Yeah, for a guy who was playing with what, Evan Hole and Audrey Estimate and Devon Belly and in an assortment and assorted cast of. No, he had a lot of age on Johnson, brief bouts of Taysom Hill, but there was no Algo Camaro. She shipped off at the trade deadline. So he averaged what, 19 points per game through from week 15 through 17 when it mattered most to us. I'm going to go ahead and just, you know, not to do a victory lap, but I invested heavily in him and Dynasty because I was connecting some dots. I mean, the Saints, you know, I feel like when they drafted him, they knew what, you know, Derek Carr was going to do because it was all preordained. He was not going to be around. But. But this was a Kellen Moore pick, right? It was the most draft capital second round that they've invested in quarterback since the great Archie Moore. So Manning, Archie Moore, the fighter Archie Manning. So I like. It just seemed to me that this was heading that direction whether. But I thought it would be a bit of a slow burn. But here's the thing. Kellen Moore matters, right? You look at his offenses when they have pieces, right? The Dallas Cowboys ranked number two in total yards, 390 yards per game and scoring 27 points per game over his time there. The Eagles obviously had some success there, had good pieces there. I think adding the pieces here, this is going to be a continue. It's going to continue to build. I'll be drafting Shock as a. As a quarterback, too, that I have a little more confidence in as someone who can produce on a weekly level more so than say, Malik Willis. So I think has more upside because of the rushing, but I don't know if he can be as consistent a producer.

All right, so that's a look at two of the quarterbacks. Let's switch gears to a running back here. I don't think any of us really quite know what to make of the Jacksonville Jaguar situation because Travis HN's gone now. We have to look at Chris Rodriguez coming in who does have a prior relationship with Liam Cohn that everybody wants to talk about, including Andrew Erickson to death. All, all he wants to talk about every time we talk about the Jags is that connection. Then you've got Bashaw Tutin, who's the guy we are going to really discuss here because Tutin obviously has a lot of shiftiness, a lot of speed right now. The expert consensus rankings on fantasy pros, you can find a fancypros.com by the way, he's RB25, so let's talk about where he is right now, what the upside is because it is. There are some other names in that backfield too, Bob, so I don't know if you want to talk about them as well. But Tutin is the guy that I want to focus on and really what his upside could be because right now the draft stock is still relatively, I mean certainly reasonable. He's a back end of RB2. But is that even something that is realistic in this season based upon what you've seen them do this offseason?

In Jacksonville as the speed freak here, the 4, 3, the 3 after the 4, the 40 always has my attention, as it should. That was too calling card. Yeah, I mean, you know the old coaching cliche, there's two things you can't coach, size and speed. And he has more half of that than pretty much anybody else that's going to be trying to tackle him. So like I like that it wasn't fantastic last year. Chris Rodriguez Jr. Shows up. He's worked with Liam Cohen in, in Kentucky, at Kentucky in college. So he's familiar with the offense. But he, I mean, he's never been a guy that's, you know, dominated a workload. So I don't, I don't think it's a matter of that. I think, you know, we're not really paying for a role that doesn't exist yet. I mean, it's not, it's. It's a reasonable price. I'd be happy taking a chance on him at this price. If it rises much though, I, I think then we'll be paying for certainty that doesn't exist.

All right, Boggs, talk to me about his price because I know in your rankings you actually have him a little bit lower. You have an RB30, so it doesn't look like it's a price you want to pay. But do you think that that price is a worthwhile investment considering the speed and explosiveness you have? Or are you too concerned about Chris Rodriguez being there A guy that gets used on the goal line more of the first and second down back.

Yeah, I'm more on the ladder. I'm more on. I think C Rod leads this team and carries specifically at the goal line and I think that matters a lot. Like I think Tutin has more upside and I think at the end of the season it is going to be Tootin getting the lion's share of the work. I just don't know how long of a struggle that is for Tutin. Right. Like I think that it may be by week 8 he's there but it also might be, well week 13 they're still pretty split and C Rod is getting the goal line carries and Jamari Taylor is a back that I like. They got as a UDFA to work in here and I know they like Laquin Allen as well. So I think it's just going to be a big ugly mix of those three guys and possibly Taylor as well. So I'm just avoiding this situation like the plague. This year. I don't think I'll have any shares of Toot Norcy, Rod.

Just curious, Bob, how did Mike Dempsey handle the Jaguars draft and all the, all the heat that they're getting for all the whiffs on the picks there

in the, in the, in, in real time. Not fantastic, but I think since then he's kind of toned down. He's talked to some of the players in question. I think they're, you know, they're listening to the live coverage because I was sitting in, I do the wrap up show after them after the main show and listening to him, I could hear the angst in his voice early on and like I get it. I mean that's a lot of blocking tight ends, right? And maybe earlier than they should have gone. I, I, I do think more Kirker was the guy that really bugged him, but I think since then he's talked to him and he feels better about him.

all right, let's get to number four on our list. And this is a guy with a whole lot of helium and for a lot of good reasons too. He is the expert consensus 26th running back. That's also where Scott Bogman has him. But I want to talk to you, Bob Harris about one Jadarian Price, the second running back from Notre Dame taken in the first round. That doesn't happen every single day. That's fun to see. And clearly there is a path. I think everybody sees the path and the opportunity there. Emmanuel Wilson performed admirably. I keep using that word because I think it's true. I had a lot of shares. I streamed a lot of Emmanuel Wilson because I was hitting a lot of weird skids in certain points of leagues and he was important to Storm, but again, kind of unproven. I'm very skeptical about Zach Charbonnet's return. I mean, the earmark is for late November, and if you're not going to come back till Thanksgiving, then I got no draft love for you. I'm just not going to do it. So instead, Bob, I want to talk to you about your Darium Price and get a realistic look at not just where his draft capital is now early, but also the. The hype that he's getting and the possible sleeper attachment that he's going to get. Do you see Price being a guy that, as we get closer to the summer and then closer to Labor Day, that all of a sudden that draft stock goes way up? And if so, where do you draw the line?

Well, there's a ton of upside at the current ecr, right? I mean, that's, you know, that. I mean, that's what we're looking for. We're looking for guys who can outperform their Price. That's the path to fantasy championships. He clearly has an opportunity to be that guy. But you know that that opportunity is going to be the critical word here, right? I mean, we don't. I mean, we think it's going to be. We think it's going to be good. I'd never rush for more than 746 yards in a season, but the 6 yards per carry the AD over three years say, hey, maybe a little Ken Walker doing a little. That explosive kind of game that the. The Seahawks love. The problem is he's not much of a receiver or doesn't have much of a receiving profile. He can pass protect, though, so that works out in his favor. But I think, you know, with Wilson there, George Holani, they're talking up Kenny McIntosh. I think this is going to be a. This is going to be a divided workload until it can't be. And that's going to be determined by Jadarian Price. Right? And we thought the same thing of Ken Walker, right, that he was going to force his way. At least I did. Sorry. Sorry, everybody. I was pretty convinced based on how they viewed him going into Last season that Walker was going to be the guy. Circumstances kept him from being that guy and opened the door to Zach Charbonnet. So I think there's a lot of, you know, overall, I know our projections of football guys, you know, figure him to be about a 16 touch per game guy. There's running back, there's good running back, two numbers available there. So I think drafting him at his current price is perfectly fine. And there's a ton of upside there if he, if he outperforms that early expectations.

Boggs, one of the things for me, with a guy like prices, I'm. I'm excited about him. I like him. Obviously, he's going to be way cheaper than love when we're talking about rookie running backs and redraft leagues. But I also realize that we've seen a lot of slow play with a lot of rookie running backs over the last couple years. I mean, usually it takes a good six to even eight weeks potentially for them to really make fantasy impact. That is the key here. It's either can it happen sooner because of the circumstances we're in, or are we once again setting ourselves up for maybe disappointment in the early going because he is a rookie and these guys take a little bit longer to ramp up and coaches tend to be a little bit more like, well, we're going to. We're going to give you some time to get familiar with everything going on in the NFL. We're going to, you know, even if his past protection is good, like, we're still going to lean on guys who have been here in the NFL. First, before you get really comfortable in all the setups, what do you think about Jadarian Price, his value, especially early on, too? Is he a guy you want to drive?

I just don't think. I don't think they have enough. That they don't have enough to afford to. Not injury.

Yeah, they just won't have that. Charbonnet got hurt in the playoffs. Right. He's not coming back until November. Like, that's probably at the earliest.

At the earliest.

Yeah, I don't think he's coming back. I don't think he's going to play in 26. So with him and Walker gone, that's 300 carries abandoned by this team for the super bowl. Team that just, you know, went. And by the way, if they would have been giving that rock to Ken Walker a little bit more in the beginning, Bob, I think they would have been way better because look what he did in the Playoffs.

Right. But the flip side of that argument, boys, is we all know. Same thing as, like, he's been hurt a lot. So he's been hurt a lot. Maybe they. Maybe they played it perfectly. Maybe they waited just like, hey, one game left. Take the ball 40 times. Go ahead.

I think they played him light in the beginning, but. But it's. It's fine. I don't think they make that mistake again. You don't have a talent like Charbonnet on this team right now. Emmanuel Wilson's a good back. Lonnie's a good back. They're not anywhere near Jadarian Price, and we have no idea what Jadarian Price's ceiling is because he was stuck behind Jeremiah Love. There's only a handful of guys in the NFL that are as good or better than Jeremiah Love. So to be behind that guy in college, knowing that you're going to go to a situation where there is no Jeremiah Love in front of you anymore, I think he gets the lion's share, and I think it happens rather early. I don't think that they can afford to sit and wait and, you know, give the ball to Holani for a couple games and all of that. I think Jerry Price.

I didn't come here for George Holani slander. I'm not going to stand for it.

Well, look, I love George Lonnie, and they do, too. They. They obviously love Holani, because if they didn't, he would have been cut a long time ago. He's a great player, but he is not Jadarian Price and neither is Emmanuel Wilson. So I think Price is going to lead this, this team by a. By a wide margin in carries by the end of the season.

I think. I think you're right. I think it's the key phrases by the end of the season. So if you do get into the business of Price, you have to be ready to be patient, because I could see the first month of September at least being just a little frustrating. You know, you see a lot more manuals than they want. And maybe. And look to that point, maybe it's one of those situations where you actually do handcuff because, you know, Seattle's committed to the run. You know, it's probably going to be a little bit more Wilson than you want early on. And then once you have Price take over, you could probably.

If that does happen, you can either flip them around and just keep them for insurance, or you could drop them and go pick up somebody else. So I don't love handcuffing running backs in sandbaggles, that my favorite thing to do. But Seagal is one of those situations where you know they're going to be committed to the run even with a new offensive coordinator. It's just what you have to do to keep Sam.

That's my, that's my inclination. We've got one more running back to talk about before we switch over to wide receivers and tight ends. His name is Rico Dowdle and he's got back to back, did you know thousand yard rushing seasons. Did you know he's got back to back years of 39 receptions and did you know right now that he is actually going as the 30th running back overall? That's the ECR expert consensus ranking and that's also Scott Bogman's ranking. So Boggs, I look at Rico Dowdle as a really intriguing guy because you saw Kenneth Gainwell really excel last year with Aaron Rodgers because he has trouble throwing the ball more than three or four yards downfield. So if indeed Aaron Rodgers does return or whoever we end up with over at the Pittsburgh Steelers under center, it does feel like Rico Dowdle is going to have some work and I think that is intriguing. I, I kind of look at, you know, I know Jaylen Warren's still there and I, I understand his role in that offense. But at the same time, Rico Dowdle had some impressive moments last year, some big splash games too. And it does kind of feel like, you know, Mike McCarthy is going to have to lean on him just a little bit. And he's obviously familiar with Rico Dowdle as well from some past years in Dallas. So what are your thoughts on Rico dowdle's value being Mr. Black and Gold yourself?

Yeah, I think the Steelers are looking at Rico as potential lead back. But I'll also say that everyone that has tried to push Jalen Warren off of this job has lost. So I think it's going to be fairly split down the middle. I do fear that, you know, Dowdle becomes the goal line back because he had the high the 10th highest inside the 5 percentage last season. But Warren had a higher scoring percentage and Warren had a 54.5% success rate to Dallas 48.3. That that's the difference between ranked 12th and ranked 34th. And I just think that you are correct in the fact that, look, the run game is going to have to be leaned on heavily because it's either Aaron Rodgers, who's my age, which is not great to be playing quarterback in the NFL. Yeah. And you know, I just. They're going to have to run the ball a lot and I think both these backs are going to be successful moving forward. I would still pick Warren over Dowdle. I just think he's the better back. But I love Dowdle and I know that he was underutilized by the Cowboys offense when they had him. So I think that may happen again. You know, McCarthy said he's potential lead back, all that stuff, but McCarthy's feeling pretty Pollyanna right now. He wants to talk up everybody. So I think it's going to be right down the middle, which is why I think I have Rico at 30 and Warren at 27. They're not far off of each other.

Bob, this is giving me kind of like some deja vu from last year because there were a couple running backs that were kind of going in this range. Ironically, the 30th running back last year in ADP was Jalen Warren, but Travis H.N. was 32. You had Javante Williams at 36, guys that have kind of just been in the league established, but people were kind of unsure about them. And I remember Pat Fitzmorris was kind of pound the table for Javante Williams. Like, hey, it doesn't cost you anything to be wrong here. And I'm kind of getting those same vibes about Rico Dowdle. I think at the very use the floor is useful and then there's possibility for more and if he ends up having a Javante Williams kind of season, well then we're really happy with that return on investment.

I think that's the least likely outcome based on the history. I mean we got Jalen Warren going back. I mean, you know Naji Harris, who and I support all the. Harris is always. But I mean like yeah, he was the demonic. I feel like early on he was demonstrably better than Rico Dowdle.

And yet still here's Jalen Warren cutting into half of his workload of a consistent, steady producer. So I do like Dowdles high side. I mean we saw it last year. He had the 473 scrimmage yards over two games. You give him the ball, he raises things with it. Right. That was against what Miami and Dallas, his former team. So doing it against not the best defenses in the world, but also doing it and we saw it the year before in Dallas also getting the job done. So I think it's still going to be a split. But I, you know, so Bog was right in that regard. But you're also right that that there's like, if I was looking for upside, I'd probably rather have doubt.

All right, let's move on to the wide receivers here because that's really where the rubber meets the road, especially when we're looking at fantasy stuff. So let's start with a Mecca Igbuka, who really burst onto the scene last year. He was my pick for rookie of the year. I looked very smart, and then about week six or seven, all of a sudden I look pretty stupid. Like everything just kind of fell apart now. I think a lot of that has to do with Baker Mayfield's health and just kind of the implosion of that team. And now they have Mike Evans moving on. Bob, you have a mechan book at wide receiver 24. Currently we've seen what the flashes look like right now, to be fair, wide receiver one numbers.

But here's the trick, right? Mike Evans was on the field. So when you remove him, the question is now, can Mecha Buka still be that guy even with nobody else on the other side of him? Do you think he has that kind of talent or do you think this is going to be more of a slog for him to continue to kind of find his way based off of a really disappointing second half.

I mean, you know, first of all, you know, it's so bizarre how great those first five games were versus how horrible it was the rest of the season. Surreal. Wide receiver 43. Over the course of the rest of the season, I think he had a wide receiver two finish a week 10. He had only one other fantasy relevant game the rest of the year. I think week 70 was wide receiver 32. So outside wide receiver 3 territory 10 times, wide receiver 50 or worse 6 times. And that included a wide receiver 91 finish to wrap the year up. But I think this is a new year. I'll be investing in this if you're getting him in the fourth round. If I'm drafting hero running back and he's my third wide receiver, oh, I'd feel very good about that, Bogs.

For me, a Mecha Igbuka is the Guy that I'm just going to put my head down and draft like he's wide receiver 24. I just think that that's too low. And I know you have him exactly at wide receiver 24. I'm just going to literally just kind of put the blinders on and say I understand all the deficits and of last year, I understand all the question marks entering this year. I'm just going to say it just kind of plant the flag. That a Mecha Buka because of what I did see in the early going with Baker Mayfield can be great. As long as Baker Mayfield is healthy, I, I do believe it. That kind of wins out for me. But talk to me about the path for Mecha Igbuka to be a guy who could truly kind of be one of these, like, guys that outperforms his adp.

Well, I think, you know, you know, what Bob said is you want him as. I'm comfortable with him as a wide receiver too, but I want him as a three. I think that's perfect because there is downside here. We saw it, we saw it in real time last year. But you know what, what was it for Igbuka? Was it the fact that Bucky Godwin and McMillan came back from injuries? Was it the rookie wall? Was it Baker being hurt? You know, you can write in about a million different excuses for Igbuka's plunge in, you know, later in the season last year. So I think it's just pretty clear that for the foreseeable future, he's your number one target on this team. Chris Godwin's still there. I don't know if he's going to lead in targets this year because Chris Godwin's still there. But for the long term, this is your number one and I think he's going to perform like that, and I think we are. This is the last time you're going to see him outside of firmly in the wide receiver 2 range. This is going to be the only time you, you can see that. So while I may not be way higher than him on ecr, I'm actually at ecr. I think I feel better about Igbuka because I'm comfortable with him as a 2 if I'm going heavy running back, but I would love him as a three. I think he offers way more value as a three, and I think that's going to be my strategy in most spots to try to take him as a three if he's around.

Oh my God, I feel like I have Pierce fatigue Boggs. I just do like he's a fun player, Pierce fatigue. Because all off season that's all I hear is like, well, it all depends on where Alec Pierce ends. And, and now it, Pierce is, you know, like I like Alec Pierce got a good season. He's, he's a guy going with the trajectory up. I get it. But I, I start to wonder, did we talk too much about him? Like ECR is at 32, you're at 34. You're actually even lower than the ECR is on him. It just felt like a lot of hype for a wide receiver. 3. Now I get it. I get the upside of him, but obviously so much is attached to the health of Daniel Jones and obviously, you know, we've seen guys be slow to return on some of these Achilles injuries. It did happen a while ago though, so I'm hoping that he's all right. And he'll be. Obviously they made that financial commitment, so they must think that we're going to be okay here with Daniel Jones. So talk to me about Alec Pierce here and the upside that he gives you because clearly we saw some flashes of it last year before the collapse of the Colts.

I don't know how much it does have to do with Daniel Jones because he performed his best with Philip Rivers. Surprisingly. If you go back and look at the week by week, week 16 he was wide receiver four and week 18 he was wide receiver two with Philip Rivers. You know so he made it work with, you know, without his number one quarterback as well. Which is why I feel like I'm even close to being in on Alec Pierce. Because we know if you're playing in half PPR, PPR, he's not going to be a guy that has 100 catches in a year. I think that you're depending on touchdowns from him. So if the offense is rolling, great. If it's not, he might be tough. I do have him behind and I'm curious to where you guys have him. I have him behind both the rookies, Tate and Tyson. I have him behind Metcalf and Sutton ahead of Christian Watson. I just don't like the fact that Christian Watson can't stay on the field. So no, I, you know, behind DK and Sutton, I could get him up over those guys. I have them in the same tier. Same with the rookies. Bob, where are you at with Alec Pierce? Is he ahead of those rookies after his good year last year? Are you kind of worried about the quarterback play as well?

So here's the big secret I'm going to let everyone in on. Everyone pay attention here. We don't know when we're playing fantasy football we're drafting a range of outcomes, right? We all know this, right? Like we don't have perfect information but we can connect some things together. So it depends on how you view Alec Pierce. Like for, for me, I view him as a suddenly wide receiver, one in a very potent offense. At least when Daniel Jones was at the helm they've in bet. So here's what we know for sure. We know what the Colts think, right? Because they, the lies ended when they handed out the money, right? The truth were told and they handed the money to him and to Daniel Jones. I feel like I know what their plan is and, and based on what we've seen of Alex Pierce, I think he's a more well rounded receiver than he's been given credit for. He's not a one trick pony. He's not just a deep threat. He can do more but also can be a deep threat. But yeah, so I think like he's another guy that it cost, I'll be drafting a ton of him at cost because that range of outcomes is super high, right. I think we, you know, some of the weekly scores kind of bore that out. So even with Philip Rivers, so, so yeah, I think he's priced right but for me it's priced right to be a buy and hope for the upside and get him a little later. Like get him around 5ish or so. I think that's perfectly.

Wide receiver 3. I'm buying. Like, I will say this like Pierce right now, and it's gonna be fascinating to Bognas point. I think it is a question of Pierce or the rookies. I would lean a little bit more towards Pierce again. It's a guy's been in the NFL. It's kind of been in that system already. And I think that's gonna get my fantasy team off to a better start to the year. But I can see a scenario eventually where the guys like Tyson and Tate end up outperforming him in the second half of the year. But you got to get there. You got to get in there, you got to get to the playoffs and all that stuff. So I'll take Pierre Pierce to start now. If it starts going into the 26, 27 range, that's when maybe I'm starting to go. Okay. I don't know if I like Alex Pierce that much. I think that's the question we have to ask ourselves. So right now, the current ECR, I can't say ADP quite yet, is 32. That's about perfect for me. Maybe you can go to 28 and I'm still listening, but we start going to 25. I think I might have to reconsider. Let's talk about Parker Washington here.

I want to go back to the Colts offense, Joe. I just want to go back. They were averaging 31 points a game with Daniel Jones running it. Right. I mean, everything was clicking. I think there's something to be said for this offense in general. I think Tyler Warren's going to have an amazing second season. Already considered a breakout, but. But I think he's going to rise up. But I think those are the two weapons. Josh Downs will do something as well, but I think you've got. I think you kind of nailed it getting him at the right price. There's a ton of upside baked into the cake there.

It feels like Parker Washington is a guy that kind of fits historically, if you start to look at the data a little deeper of what Trevor Lawrence likes to do on the field. So are you buying into that or is it too crowded of a room at wide receiver 41.

Too crowded of a room for me. Like Jacoby Myers, you know, we, we saw the vote that he was given with the money and again, that's the truth. Teams are spending cash. They gave him a ton of money. I like James Gladstone's reference at the time. There's his superpower is catching the football and maybe a veiled shot at Brian Thomas Jr. But also that is. That has been his superpower over the course of his entire career. Go back to the Patriots and through the Raiders, Jacoby Myers has been just a steady, solid producer. So. And that doesn't mean I want to go out and draft him like crazy. I mean, I'll probably have shares of both him and Washington, but. But I think they do kind of. They're limiting factors for each other. And the wild card there is. Does Brian Thomas Jr. Return to something closer to his rookie year or does he remain mired in the quagmire of last season?

And to Bob's point, which, I mean, just What a poet using Myered in there for Jacoby Myers. I mean, what great. What a wordsmith this guy is. It's like he's done it before.

But Jacoby Myers outpaced Parker Washington 385 snaps at 286 after Myers was traded in games that they both played. And maybe I'm wrong about Jacksonville running 13 personnel. And like I said, I think it was a great point. I want to give 50 credit for making it. You know, the Rams were by far the highest last season at like 31%. They scored over 30 touchdowns out of 13 personnel. A lot of touchdowns going to those tight ends as well, which is another factor in here. Probably losing touchdowns for these wide receivers running out of that formation. Probably a lot near the goal line as well. And let's not forget, yes, it was only like 2.86% of the time they ran 13 last year, but the Rams were 31st in 13 personnel in 2024 and they ended up being first with a bullet by a lot. I think Pittsburgh was second at like 18%. So. And they ran it over 30%. So I think Jacksonville clearly has a strategy here and that's what they built in the draft and they're showing it to us. So I'm not going to be interested in Parker Washington for this season. For the long term. I think he's a very good wide receiver and you know, if they have some tight end injuries or they just can't get this 13 going, I'll be more interested. But right now, as it stands today, I just think Parker Washington is overpriced.

I have some Dynasty shares of Jalen Coker, and by the end of last year, I felt very validated for being patient with him. Small school guy, but starting to really look like he is the true number two option. Do you buy into what you saw at the end of last year and can Jalen Coker be fantasy relevant, or is he just a guy that we're hyping too much in the early going?

Yeah, I'm not really in. The good news for is that the Panthers waited to take a weapon, right? But Brazil and I think could easily push Leggette out or to the slot, which I think is fairly likely. McMillan is going to be the clear number one, but I think Brazil works as the best complement to him as a deep threat. And the slot is probably going to be a gross mix of Coker, Leggett and Metchie. Plus my man Poker. Coker, excuse me, has only been able to stay on the field for 11 games apiece in his first two seasons. And that quad injury has bothered him both years. So again, I'm a little bit predisposed to, you know, availability is the best ability and that old scouting trope and all that stuff. I don't really like to take guys that have had a lengthy injury history and the quad has bothered him two years in a row. They added a weapon. I'm just. I'm not as in on Coker as other people are. So I'm going to be out.

He landed with the most accomplished quarterback of all the rookie wide receivers that went in the first round. He's landed in a situation too, on in the best organization of any of those other guys too, in terms of what they've done in the last five years. There's been some debate about, you know, while the style of Makai Lemons play and all that. And we've heard the aman raw St Brown comps and all these other things. It feels like to me, Bob, especially once the we hit June 1st though. So we're in the countdown now, less than 30 days away from the AJ Brown decision. So we should have like an ESPN special about that. I can only assume the way LeBron did about where we get AJ Brown going, but it seems like he's definitely on his way out.

At wide receiver 39, which is the ECR and also where Bogwin has him. I'm incredibly in on Makai Lemon because I do think, look, even if devonte Smith picks up more targets, there's still plenty to go around potentially and there's not a lot of pressure for him. And Jalen hurts if you even statistically that he hasn't done a lot of volume plays over the middle of the field. We had a great discussion with Jake Sealy on a show a couple weeks ago where he laid out his actual efficiencies in that path are quite good. So it's not that Jalen hurts, can't throw over the middle field, it can't make these throws. It's just that's not the way the offense ran. But any good coach worth their salt is going to run the offense based on the personnel they have. And it feels like Makai Lemon is a personnel they wanted. Hence why they traded up and screwed Bogman Steelers out of the pick rhetorically.

I think long term, like, I could see why people would be taking Jadarian Price or Jordan Tyson ahead of him with the short term outlooks. I think he's a certain hit this year if A.J. brown is gone. So I will probably be. I will probably be spending considerable capital on him at that spot. I think that's a good deal.

I thought that was hilarious as well, but I think Makai Lemon's really good. But they didn't just move a couple spots up and take Lemon and say, okay, we're done. They went out and they traded for Wicks. They signed Hollywood Brown, they resigned Goddard, they drafted Stowers. Right. So that's 121 targets that are gone. They're not all going to Lemon. I think the lion's share are going to go to Lemon. But I also think it's a rookie year with a quarterback that doesn't throw the ball as much. So I just think for this season, I'm probably going to be lower than consensus on Makai Lemon. But long term, I want Makai Lemon. So maybe this year I'm a little lukewarm on him, but I do want Makai Lemon moving forward.

So yesterday I did two profiles, one on Isaiah likely and one of the next guy we're going to talk about. Isaiah Likely right now is ranked as tight end 13 pods. You haven't even hired tight end 10. I'm struggling because I feel like we've been teased quite a bit. I understand Harbaugh burn with him and that's the reason for interest. I don't want to use the word excitement because I feel like every time we use the word excitement about Isaiah Likely, we get let down. Theo Johnson's still around. Like, there's a lot here of. Of question marks and then how much volume we can get from Isaiah Likely, what that looks like. We've seen him get opportunities at times when Mark Andrews was less than 100%, and I think the results were mixed, to be honest. I think there were some good and there's some not so good. So why are you higher than consensus on Isaiah Likely? Because clearly you think this is a guy with upside.

Maybe he doesn't jump off the page for every single measurable, but he's a guy that you look at the tape, you watch and go, yep, that's a solid football player.

But he's your deep threat. He clears out the middle for Isaiah Likely, in my opinion. So. And I just think that there's a reason that Harbaugh brought him over. They wanted him. They wanted him to be the guy that they have their blocking tight end in Theo Johnson. And to me, I just think Likely is already going to be second for targets in this offense this year. So I think as a tight end one, I mean, I guess you could take, you know, Kelsey without Mahomes for a spell over him. Do you want the injured Kittle? I don't. Kincaid has never lived up to it. My question right now is do I want Likely or Andrews? I think, I think that's the coin flip that I want because now they're both number ones for the team.

Bob?

Well, I mean, I think this is the funny thing. We tell ourselves these happy stories to convince ourselves to draft players and, and not every ending is happy. I just told one earlier about Alec Pierce and the Colts offense and what their expectation is and how that can work out in his favor. We're telling the same happy story with Isaiah Likely. We haven't seen it as demonstrated as it was with Alex Pierce. We do know Theo Johnson, like what, a nine, like the highest drop rate. Nine percent. Nine and a half percent drop rate was the highest among tight ends. So there's some issues there. But he is a, he's an athletic guy and a great blocker. But I think Likely he's there. You know, the coach brings someone along. Alan Ricard, happy to have you on board too. If you're a Cam Scatterbo investor like I. So the all three of us are.

Now Bob, this is the guy that I'm more intrigued by because when Mike McDaniel shows up into town and I've seen a little bit of John New Smith, I've seen a little Darren Waller, this guy is younger, this guy is faster, this guy is way more than what those guys are. I think so stage in their career.

But the question is Bob, now that we have McDaniel there, we also know that there's a lot of gadgetry and a lot of spreading the ball around. All these other things he's going to do too. There's a lot of choices. So do we does gas and get choiced out or does he get elevated? Because this is the first time you got Mike McDaniel working with a real life big boy quarterback. And Justin Herbert there is the crux,

I think, you know, a lot of things working in his favor. One, the one thing that's not is the crowded field field in the receiving room.

I mean I think that's, that's the thing that can give me pause. But I look what Mike McDaniel, you mentioned it, the Johnny Smith, you know, magical season. But also, I mean we've added to the offensive line. We're gonna have Joe Alton, Rashauna Slater healthy. That works in everybody's favor. They bring in Charlie Kolar, who's going to be the inline blocker. They overpaid for him. They also got what Alec Ingle, the fullback. I mean they're going to be a run heavy team and they're going to pick their spots to make big plays. I think Gadsden is a guy who can make big plays. But I think, you know, you look at the, you know, I've had a case like Isaiah likely I've had like a one game taste at a time. I like three games of Gaston as tight end, one last season right at week six through nine. He was a monster. And so I think we're looking at playmaking ability. I think they're both, you know, going in the similar price range. It's a pick your poison kind of situation. But I think likely he probably has a better path to a consistent role. Yes. Do I think he has the same high end potential as Gadsden? No. So it might depend on what you want. The great news for all of us is you can take your chance on the one of these you like. And there is an entire universe of reliable, steady producers at the position going to be available to you later. Starting with I think Travis Kelce going after like I don't care what you think about Travis Kelce. Where he's at, his career, what was he, tight end three last year? I mean it's not like he's just disappearing. He can still put up weekly numbers. So and, but that's only one of the lists. I mean there's a robust list of guys you could draft and feel pretty comfortable with. So I'll probably be taking shots on both those guys, but more. More Gadsden than likely for me.

Yeah. Travis Kelsey, tight end five last year in full fantasy points. In terms of fantasy points per game. We had him where Kelsey was 12 actually. So a little bit. I've got all this data right here. I told you I was writing. I'm in the tight end swamp for the last like three days, so almost out of it. Moving on to quarterback soon. Don't forget, get your black book in June. It's coming out. All right, Boggs, let's wrap it up with your take on Gadsden too. A guy that certainly showed us some flashes. Very exciting guy to me. You know, if you're, if you miss out on the. And it's a good group of tight end this year, some real talent. The first like six, seven guys, right. We're like, wow, this is really good. If you miss out on that, Gats is really interesting. And then I could always take Mark Andrews too. If you're trying to like maybe I'll get like a safe guy too. To me that is the key. The key is actually taking one of these upside guys and then taking a boring ass tidy tight end Fringy 1, Hunter Henry with him. Yeah, the Dallas Godders, the Jawan Johnson's of the world. Boring af but useful. You know, isn't it almost like quarterbacks

where you can gamble on a high upside guy a little earlier than take the steady.

People don't like to do it. They like, oh, don't take two tight ends. I'm like, why? Because if you hit on one of them or if you're playing matchups really well, you. It's a great way to maximize your points on a weekly basis.

But I'll say this, I would much rather invest in Warren or Loveland or one of those top end tight ends so I don't have to carry two times.

That's what I want to do. But I have Gadsden at nine, so I'm a spot higher than likely who we know that I like. I think you can see the difference in the the game that he got injured, right? He got injured in Pittsburgh Week 10. Before that, he's averaging 5.4 targets, 4.6 reception, 64.7 yards, 8 and 0.3 touchdowns per game after that. And that, that was eight games. And then he had eight games after that game, 3.6 targets, two receptions, 28.3 yards and 0.1 on the touchdowns. It's clear that Gadsden was playing gimpy and hurt for the entire second half. Expect way more of that first half from Gadsden, specifically with Keenan Allen gone. Like, I love Trey Harris. I think Trey Harris is going to take a huge step this year and I'm really excited about him. But Gadson is going to be their guy at tight end and he's going to have a lot of targets this season specifically with Keenan Allen gone. So I think Gadson is a great investment. As Bob mentioned in that group of guys that aren't at the tippy top.
