Welcome in everybody to Fantasy pros. This is out of bounds. This is me, Joey P, Joe P. Zeppia, with my best friend, Scott Bogman. The Welsh, conveniently off this week. Just want to say he picked the right week to go on vacation last week, the wrong week to move this week, the right week to be on vacation after that 49er ass kicking that they took there by the Seattle Seahawks. We're going to break down all the games. We're going to break down all the news and information. We got a big player injured. We got a coach fired. Scott Bogman, you and I on Saturday did something very special. I just want to talk about this for everybody because it was you, not me. It's the we. It's always the. We were a team here. It's what we do. So I don't involve me in this.
Scott Bogman
I don't want. I don't want.
Joey P
The blood is on your hands.
Scott Bogman
I don't want Bills fans mad is.
Joey P
On your hands already. So it doesn't matter what you say at this point. So I had a goal because Bog and I were in the under in the first half of that game on betting pros. We were doing the first game live. Bill's Broncos. And as a Pats fan, I wanted to somehow jinx both teams. So what I did was I found all the Broncos and Bill stuff that I could find, and I wore it all at the same time. So I would wear the Broncos headband like this for my daughter's old flag football team. She plays the Broncos. She was the Broncos one year. And whenever they had the ball, we'd wear this. And typically bad things would happen. Then, then, then we would switch to the hat, to the Bills hat when we needed to. Whenever the Bills would have the football and we were going back and forth, we were doing all these things. This was my South Central drinking your juice in the hood attire kind of look that I was rocking here. And it worked because Josh Allen's out of the playoffs because I didn't want to face Josh Allen as a Pats fan. The Denver Broncos won, but lost their quarterback on the last play of the game, which is awful. And the Bills fired their head coach, which I can't understand at this juncture with the candidates that are remaining. Why you would do that. Bogs, this is a lot to take in, but all I can say is the voodoo magic is real. That's it. What do you have to say about that?
Scott Bogman
Yeah, I mean, that was. It was weird. But the voodoo magic did not help us.
Joey P
No.
Scott Bogman
At all. Because the touchdown scored and we both lost.
Joey P
But we did hit that big.
Scott Bogman
Plus, that was super frustrating, which is pretty awesome.
Joey P
So we did hit that one. So that made up for the day.
Scott Bogman
But. But yeah, first of all, number one, it's just sickening to see Joe this happy. I hate it. I do not like it at all. Just so everybody knows. Look, most of us are in my camp where, you know, 28 teams have been eliminated. You might be able to say 29, right. Because the Broncos. This is so brutal. It is right to break your ankle in the last play of the game to go into the AFC title game. And it's the largest home deficit for a a home team in the AFC title game since 1970. I believe it is the Pats by five and a half at this point.
Joey P
Yes, it is.
Scott Bogman
So Pat's five and a half. The Sean McDermott firing, it was surprising and also not surprising. I've heard some people talk about this already and, you know, I think you just don't want to get stuck in that Tomlin middle where, you know, it's been nine seasons. You can't get over the hump. You're going into a new building next year. You have your franchise quarterback, but you're not sure about this. Coach, I was surprised to see Bean get a promotion from this because part of the issue is you've hit on some big picks, right? You hit on Josh Allen. You got Greg Russo at. Oliver has been a good pick. Right. But you've whiffed on like everybody in the secondary, a lot of offensive line picks. I feel like, you know, Dalton Kincaid has not lived up to his pre draft status. Right. You've had issues on the rotation in the interior outside of Ed Oliver. Defensive end outside of Greg Russo has been bad for a long time. So the player development, I think, is not getting done, which is, I guess, why you keep being. And you fire Sean McDermott.
Joey P
However, there's one other thing.
Scott Bogman
Picking the groceries is tough as well.
Joey P
There's one thing you're missing from that equation is also Stefan Diggs left two years ago and you still haven't replaced him in the offense. You haven't given Josh Allen.
Scott Bogman
Well, they've tried.
Joey P
They. They tried well.
Scott Bogman
They drafted Keon Coleman, they traded for Amari Cooper, they traded for Brandon Cooks, they've tried to trade for Brian Thomas Jr. Right? So they've tried to make this happen. It just hasn't happened.
Joey P
But you got to find a way to make it happen. Because you can't go into a playoff game with Brandon Cooks is your best wide receiver at this juncture. And we're going to talk about all this stuff. Like we got, well, Kalil Shakir, but you know what I'm saying, like Khloe Shakir, is it close?
Scott Bogman
Shakir should be a 2. You should have a 1.
Joey P
Limited in what he can give you. Although it's solid what he can give you, he's also limited in what he can give you. So I think that there's, you know, something about that that you have to, you know, know, kind of grasp at this point. But let's, let's start with that game because Buffalo, Denver, obviously, and I said it at the time too, we were on live and I said to Boggs, I said, it's the end of the quarter, end of the half, rather just take a knee, you're down by seven. You don't want to be here. It's not where you want to be. Just don't be a hero. Don't do anything stupid. What does Josh Allen do? Tries to do too much. And this is the problem. He's the superhero sometimes, but sometimes he trips over his own cape and he gives up.
Scott Bogman
Hero against Jacksonville and goat against.
Joey P
But, but this is not the first time. We've seen, we've seen this many times with Josh Allen throughout his career. He's spectacular, but the burden of having to do too much all the time takes its toll on him mentally, I think. And then he makes bad decisions physically because of it. And you end up turning the ball over, it turns into another three. And that three ends up being the reason why you have to go to overtime and ultimately lose this game. And that is punishing. And I think that decision making again, that falls on the coach, right? Take the knee, you know, learn to fight another day. All you do is you're just giving the team more points, more momentum there at the end. And it was, what are you gonna do? You're gonna run from your 25 all the way and score a touchdown with 30 seconds? Like, stop, stop.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, look. Well, look, they've had it done to them in the Chiefs game, right? And you shouldn't have given up seven. You should have held them to three there. How does so aggravation that, that. I mean, you would have won your bet and I still lost it. But that's what should have happened. They should have never scored a touchdown there to start, right? They send an all out blitz, they beat it and Bo Nick just throws it up and it's a touchdown. It was. It's frustrating if you're a Bills fan, I understand that. You know, because this is like, you feel like Sisyphus, you know, you're pushing that rock up the hill. You're constantly pushing the rock up the hill to no avail. I understand Bills fans being frustrated. I was kind of surprised because this is not the status quo. Firing a guy when you're, you know, overtime away from going to the AFC title game and you're on the doorstep. But I also understand the frustration. I think if your ownership, you say, look, we're going to a new building next year. Let's get a fresh start on this. We have a franchise quarterback. I don't know if this is the coach he's going to win it with, so let's just go and I, I rip that band aid off and see what we can do.
Joey P
I want to say we talked to us on the show a couple weeks ago with all the fight firings, I was like, look, if the Bills lose, they were first round exit. To me, it was the first round exit. If they didn't beat Jacksonville, he would be gone. And it felt like the writing might have been on the wall there, but to go and win like three playoff games on the road to get to the super bowl would have been a monumental task. You don't talk about Sisyphus. You know that that's what it would have been for McDermott and these guys.
Scott Bogman
That's what the Steelers did in Super Bowl.
Joey P
Right. It is hard to do. It is really difficult to do. So to me, the difficult part is now when you have Stefanski off the board and Harbaugh off the board and, and you make this decision now, it better be a Kubiak and you better be right. It's not going to be Tomlin because I don't think they're in a position where they want to give up that much capital in the draft. He's not coaching anyway, so. I wonder if Stefanski has regrets about going to Atlanta now that this job is open. I think there had to be a. A way where you had to. If you're his agent, you have to go. Let's see what happens on Sunday before we sign this contract on Saturday. Actually, no, because he signed it, what, Saturday night, Right. Actually, it was when they was announcement.
Seth
Yeah.
Scott Bogman
Fansky.
Joey P
So, yeah, I don't, I don't know.
Scott Bogman
I don't. I don't think Stefanski was a. I don't think. I think he was going to Atlanta. He likes to run the ball. He gets Bijan Ross. No. Nothing wrong with James Cook. Nothing wrong with Josh Allen for sure. But I think you get out of the weather, you go. Go to the South.
Joey P
That's fair.
Scott Bogman
I think that that job was probably.
Joey P
And here's.
Scott Bogman
Here's the other question for fans.
Joey P
You got a situation, too, where you have, you know, now that you have this head coach change here in Buffalo. Now you. You had this year, I think, where the thought process was of the Chiefs are bad. The Ravens weren't in the playoffs. Chiefs weren't in the playoffs. Right. This was the clear path, and you couldn't even win your own division. I can understand why this is in some ways maybe more disappointing than the last couple of years because the path was easier and they just couldn't get it done.
Scott Bogman
Who's the second most tenured coach behind Andy Reid?
Joey P
The second most tenured coach in the afc? Who. It's not something stupid like Harbaugh, is it? Is it Jim? No.
Scott Bogman
Got fired. Is. Oh, no. He's only been there two years.
Joey P
Right. I was going to say, like, it can't be somebody stupid like that. This is going to be really annoying.
Scott Bogman
It's sar.
Joey P
Here's the funniest thing. Mike Vrabel is now officially the longest tenured head coach in the AFC East. Think about that.
Scott Bogman
Yes.
Joey P
Glenn came in after him. Everybody else got fired. Yeah. Think about. Suck on that one for a second. Everybody. Let's go to the next game here on the list. Because this. This game was over. A jump. And that stupid little soccer tackle. I wanted to jump through my television and punch that kicker right in the nuts. That was so frustrating to watch that guy try to hurt Rashid Shahid that I was so furious about this. Like, this is football with two O's, not a U. Stop that. Stop that nonsense. You're gonna hurt that man. He's.
Scott Bogman
Doesn't matter.
Joey P
Somewhere else. He wasn't on the field enough kicking field goals or doing anything else after that. After that one kick that he made for the kickoff, he didn't have another kickoff the whole game. So it was pretty. Pretty brutal for the most part there. But share your thoughts with me. Seattle 49ers. I mean, this is a dominant performance by the Seattle defense.
Scott Bogman
We knew the Niners were too beat up to be in this position. Right. I think it was surprising that they beat Philly. Everyone was surprised by that. I feel like I knew that Philly, to me, seemed like a team that was disinterested. They wanted this season to be over. So that's why I picked the Niners in that game. They just had no chance in this game. Seattle was rested. They're fired up. They're in front of the 12, you know, so I figured this was going to be a beat down. I did not expect it to get away as fast as it did. And the game was literally over after the opening kickoff because the Niners didn't score more than. They got six points in the entire game and they got seven on the kick return. So it was over at that point. I mean it never feels good to lose to your division rival to let them go to the NFC title game in a drubbing like that. But it was. It was on the wall. This was I. And I am sick of hearing about the substation next to San Francisco causing me.
Joey P
They should look into. I think there's enough smoke there.
Scott Bogman
They have, they have, they have.
Joey P
Joe, I need to get my tinfoil hat.
Scott Bogman
It's a bunch of. Yeah. All you hear is that weird music on Instagram and you know they have the substation. That's why everybody's getting hurt. Okay. All right. I. If that was the case, it would have moved.
Joey P
Well, I don't know if they want to do a study and figure it out and then move. I don't care decent. They have. And the study was inconclusive. He said.
Scott Bogman
No, no. It said that it. The substations like that can damage tissue to dead things, not living things.
Joey P
49Ers look pretty dead on Saturday night.
Scott Bogman
They did. All right. We'll kill them all and zombify him with that thing.
Joey P
All right. Let's talk about a game where if you love defense. There was a lot of it. Oh boy. Houston Texans. New England Patriots. The shout out to the Texans front too. They are so good. They are so good. They gave that.
Scott Bogman
That is one of the best fronts I've ever seen.
Joey P
Togay. I'm saying his name wrong. How do you. Togi. Togi was incredible.
Scott Bogman
Dale Hunter two games in a row.
Joey P
Anderson, everybody there. It was just. It was incredible to watch. And look. Credit to Drake May. Okay, give him some credit. He made a couple big plays when he had to. He had too many turnovers because anybody will against that defense. They're that good. And he didn't get rattled. He still stuck in there. The throat of Diggs was incredible. The catch by Diggs was incredible. The booty throwing catch was unbelievable. They could not run the football all day.
Scott Bogman
That.
Joey P
That catch was spectacular.
Scott Bogman
That catch was unbelievable. To lay out one handed reel it in keep control. Really, really one of these, these playoffs have been a lot of fun man. Outside of the couple of these drubbings they have been really, really incredible plays. I mean the last game.
Joey P
Well, we'll get to that in a second. I want to say on this one too because on the flip side this was the thing that we talked about too which is everyone keeps talking about the, the. The defense of the Texans and rightfully they should. But when the Patriots defense is healthy, they are so good against the run and they could not run the football. They created turnovers, they created pressure on CJ Stroud and CJ Stroud was seeing goes. CJ Stroud was getting his hand hit on every throw. He the pocket was collapsing and then even when it wasn't you could tell from the look on his face he like it was about to and it forced him into bad decisions. And the Patriots look shout out to Marcus Jones with a great play. All, all those picks were pretty impressive picks and there could have been even more. There was a bunch that were tipped up in the air that landed on the ground that my God, like that turnover ratio was so bad to begin with for them. It could have been even worse. I'm glad they didn't replace CJ Stroud because it wasn't. It didn't gonna matter. Their offensive line was bad from the beginning of the year and it was bad through the whole year. I don't care if you had Nico Collins. I don't care if you had Randy Moss playing. I don't care. Dalton Schultz got hurt. You could add a million people show up. You don't have the offensive line to protect the quarterback. This is the kind of stuff that's going to happen against a good defense. Your thoughts? Carvana is so easy. Just a click and we've got ourselves a car. See so many cars.
Scott Bogman
That's a clicktastic inventory.
Joey P
And check out the financing options payments to fit our budget. I mean that's Clickonomics 101 delivery to our door just a hop, skip and.
Scott Bogman
A click away and bought no better.
Joey P
Feeling than when everything just clicks. Buy your car today on Carvana.
Scott Bogman
Delivery fees may apply. Yeah, I mean I think the Patriots have had a perfect defensive game plan two weeks in a row and it's going to be really hard to beat that for Jarrett Stidham next week. You know what I mean? So I think there is a chance that the Patriots walk in the super bowl and get rolled by the Rams or Seahawks. We'll see. But the Game plan has been absolutely phenomenal two weeks in a row. And, you know, I think the issues that the Texans have are the offensive line. I think C.J. stroud can be the guy. He was clearly rattled in this game and I think he heard it all week leading into this game. Because if you play anybody but Pittsburgh last week, you get your ass kicked with the fumbles and the interceptions and the tip balls and all that stuff. And the Texans are sorry. The Patriots saw blood in the water on that front and went after him. I love the secondary blitzes that they had as well. It just. It all worked perfect to harass CJ Stroud. And on the road in the cold, he just was not. And he's. He's from Ohio State, right? Like, he. He's played in cold weather.
Joey P
It wasn't the weather.
Scott Bogman
It was not the weather.
Joey P
It was the. It was the conditions. It was the conditions.
Scott Bogman
That's what it was.
Joey P
Shout out.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, it was the one Mississippi. They got to fix that online, dude.
Joey P
But we said it going into the year, that was the big deficit. There was the off. Like defense is amazing. Offensive line is a problem, and it's going to find it.
Scott Bogman
Well, I think that was a Ravens level defense, right? You remember when the Ravens won the Super bowl with R.A. for the first time, Trent, I want to say they're.
Joey P
That good because that was a unit that was literally scared. Winning games, scoring on defense when their offense couldn't generate anything. That's something I've never seen.
Scott Bogman
That's what they did last week. They scored twice last week. They scored with Tokyo and with Bullock.
Joey P
Last week, but they didn't do it all year long that way. And there were some games where they gave up some points and things like that. They weren't as dominant as the 85,000 Ravens, but I think the way they're.
Scott Bogman
Playing right now, they were peaked, right? But the offense just couldn't do anything. They could not hold up their ass.
Joey P
I will say Jaden Higgins played well in that game. He looks like an emerging star. There was also a moment too, that Pop Douglas touchdown. If you watch that again, carefully, there's a. There's a. Again. This is like QB School 101, which I loved, where it's a fourth and short, right? So they're playing everything tight. They go like they're going to throw a wheel route to Ramandre and the linebacker vacates the middle to go cover Andre Stevenson.
Scott Bogman
Perfect.
Joey P
It's the perfect play call. But it's also sold perfectly by Drake. May if you watch it in slow motion, you could see his body turn to the right as though he's going to throw that wheel. And without making a move, a second move, he completely opens up and instead throws the football down the middle of the field where Pop Douglas is that.
Scott Bogman
Matt Stafford type stuff.
Joey P
It is elite QB type stuff. And for a guy in his second year to be doing that kind of stuff, it didn't even talk about it that much on the broadcast, really. They kind of just showed the play. But I'm watching it and I actually called my daughter in before we had to leave for our flag football. I was like, I want you to watch this. See what he does there? And she's like, yeah, that's pretty cool. And I'm like, so you don't even notice he's doing it. But he. His body position sells the linebacker to vacate the middle. Pop Douglas runs that route right where he vacates, boom. Hits him in stride. He's gone. Touchdown. It's incredible stuff. It really. It really was. All right, everyone's thinking about me and the Patriots. Let's talk about the Bears. Seth Diewald and I were talking, our producer before the show. He's still very content with a. He feels good. He's unhappy, he's sad it's over, but he's smiling because, of course, what happened. The Rams once again let a team hang in it too long, as they do every single week. And I'm sick to death of it. I can't stand it anymore. And I'm watching Caleb Williams run backwards in this last play. And I go, here we go. Vintage Caleb Williams. He runs back literally 20 yards, heaves the ball into the end zone. Call. Comet catches it. What was your reaction to that play?
Scott Bogman
I can't imagine how that was my react. How I. First of all, to just to create that space when they sent everybody right, just to create that space to get the ball off is incredible. Right? We also had 100% offensive pass interference.
Joey P
Oh, I think it's a push off.
Scott Bogman
I mean, he. He shoved that, I agree, almost to the ground, but. But the throw was perfect. It didn't matter. Like, it wasn't nut. It was enough contact to probably be opi, but it was subtle enough that they didn't call it, which is how Antonio Brown lived his career. So, you know, it was just. It was an incredible. It is. It is. Yeah. The hand fighting. But by ab, like, you want to talk about master classes of something in football, the hand fighting from AB could be taught forever to get that space to be able to have enough on the ball to get it there and to make that throw. I mean, you can see a legend in the making in Caleb Williams if everything goes right. My takeaway, we've had plenty of these guys. We've had RG3s before that. I've done it and can't stay healthy. So it's just for him, it's about staying on the field and. But him and Ben Johnson for the upcoming years, that looks like it's going to be a great pairing.
Joey P
Maybe. I still feel like everything about that play was wrong and the outcome was right. But like everything that you would teach somebody not to do is what Caleb does and eventually your body's not gonna be able to do those things anymore. And then what do you have left? So if you don't evolve and develop over the next couple years, you can't keep getting away with this.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, but, but, but he, but he. I think he's learning those things on.
Joey P
He's still the lowest completion percentage in the league of. Of quarterbacks. That's a problem.
Scott Bogman
I understand. It is. It is, but it's. But it's not a problem that kept them out of the playoffs. It's not a problem that kept him out of the division race. It's not a problem that kept them, you know, out of this game. They were in the game the entire time, so these are fixable issues. And I think he's just going to get better. He already has the magic now. Get him the basic stuff. Yeah, if you can get him the basic stuff with the magic, he's going to be.
Joey P
Did you think the play calling was a little vanilla for Ben Johnson last night? There was no gimmicks, no fun stuff. It seemed kind of like just me. Unben Johnson.
Scott Bogman
Yeah. I just think both. I think both defenses were playing real tough. I think the weather was obviously horrific. It was a well fought game. But you asked me this question last week on this show and I said, I still think the Rams went, you know, I know the weather's going to be bad.
Joey P
We were both right. Don't let the Bears hang around. If you do, they're going to burn you. And they did. But you were right. The Rams prevailed and I got my cover. So I'm still happy. It's fine. I still. It's all good. All right, so those were. We're gonna continue on with the games going forward and all that stuff. My moment of the week. It's obvious it's Caleb touchdown. There's no doubt about that. The weekend was. Was fun. Maybe that blowout game, not as fun. Some people said they didn't like the Houston Patriots game. I thought that again, Boggs and I like defense. So when you watch defenses get at it and hit quarterbacks and create turnovers, that's fun for me. I like it. I still enjoyed that game.
Scott Bogman
And the thing, the thing that I enjoy the most about watching the Texans, which is why I'm sad I can't watch them anymore. And I didn't enjoy watching it last week, but how fast that line collapses.
Joey P
Oh, my God.
Scott Bogman
I mean, it's like 0.2 seconds and the quarterback is surrounded, the ball is out. They did that so many times against A Rod. They did that so many times against May last night. They just had nothing.
Joey P
But the big difference, too.
Scott Bogman
My moment was.
Joey P
DJ I was going to say, what's your moment? So talk about the DJ Moore situation because there's a lot of people up in arms about this.
Scott Bogman
I. It looked like he quit on the route and Cam Curl read the route, broke for the ball. The Bears were driving to potentially win the game and Cam Curl picks the ball off. They go down the field, kick a field goal and go. Go to the NFC title game. But it looked like DJ Moore just slumped on a route. And I know he's done that a lot this year. I got to feel like he was absolutely gassed, like he had nothing left in the tank. They were in overtime. The weather was horrible. I feel like it had to be that because he did dog it on that play. But if you're. If you're that down bad and you're that tired, get your ass off the field because that was pathetic. I would like. Seth, we haven't talked. I haven't talked to about that.
Joey P
Let's talk to Seth about that play. Seth, let's get you.
Scott Bogman
What are your thoughts on DJ Moore? Was that. Has he done? Because I. I keep seeing these angry Bears fans cut him, he shouldn't be allowed back on the plane. Blah, blah, blah. Get him out of the building because he's done this all year long. Is this something that DJ Moore has done all year long or do you think maybe was gas because it was overtime and the weather like just looked like a really pathetic effort.
Seth
I honestly don't. I was talking to Joey about this before the show. I just. I. There was a lot of space that was opened up on that play. It looked like the route concepts that. Chase Daniel broke it down on Twitter. It looked like a good play. Call to me, it looked like DJ Moore should have flattened off his route on that play. And if he would have, I mean, Kim Karl made a hell of a play.
Scott Bogman
Oh, yeah.
Joey P
Incredible.
Scott Bogman
To get across the field like that effort off the chart perfectly.
Seth
So if that. That throws got to be on the money. So, I mean, it could have been picked off anyway. I don't know how good the throw would have been based on, like, you know, the timing of the play, because DJ Moore was way further down the field. But to answer your question, I know DJ Moore has been dealing with injuries too, so it could be a common. It could have been a combination of a couple things there. But that one, to me, I, you.
Scott Bogman
Know, like, he's a decoy. He's hurt.
Seth
He's just kind of looked to me like there was a miscommunication, like DJ Moore did not think he was getting the ball on that play. I. I've. From what I've seen from DJ Moore this entire season, and I've watched every Bears game closely. I think the dude's given 100%. Like, I, I'm a big DJ Moore fan, but I'm. I'm also like an optimistic, positive Bears fan.
Joey P
I didn't realize those ex.
Seth
Not. That's gonna. That. That. That's just gonna cheer for his guys. So I'm, I'm still very pro D.J. moore. I, I would love to know what happened on that play. Like I said, it looked like he was supposed to flatten out his route, and it didn't happen for whatever reason. But, man, I'm still. I'm super high on this Bears team going forward, man. I don't know how you cannot be excited about Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson.
Scott Bogman
Like, and the receiving core, man. Roma Dunes and Colson Loveland, Luther Burton. Even if you get rid of DJ Moore's lazy ass, right? Like, even if you get him out.
Joey P
Of there, your crew is so really good. It's a good group.
Seth
But anyway, just. Yeah, I, I couldn't be more because, I mean, this is as excited as I've been about Bears on the last 20 years. Yeah, that's my take. I don't. I don't know if it's controversial enough, but thank you said.
Scott Bogman
I mean, that. That.
Joey P
That'll be.
Scott Bogman
That's what we needed.
Joey P
$200, Seth. For the 50 minute session.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, for. For the football therapy. Yeah, we bully.
Joey P
All right, now get back there and run the show.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, it sounds like insurance.
Joey P
All right, Bogs, what was your big takeaway from the games this weekend?
Scott Bogman
Fix The O line. Fix the O line for Houston, and I think you have something.
Joey P
Agreed.
Scott Bogman
I think you have something really good. Yeah. So, you know, fix that O line. The problem is, is I think there's only one guy worth keeping. Ed Ingram was really good at right guard this year. I think the other four spots.
Joey P
I think d'. Ameco. Ryan's a really good coach, too. I like his demeanor.
Scott Bogman
He's a great coach.
Joey P
I always loved him as a player. I thought he was a great player. And as a head coach, he just seems, like, solid to me. Like you look at certain guys, he's.
Scott Bogman
One of those guys that he kind of always knew was going to be a coach, too. That's what all of his teammates say. They're like, yeah, he was the guy telling us where we needed to be on every play. You know, he was a team captain, all that stuff. So, yeah, we all saw this coming.
Joey P
My big takeaway is that what's going to happen here is if the Patriots beat Jared Stidham and then somehow go to the super bowl and let's say they beat Sam Darnold and his bad oblique and let Sam Darnold in a big game and all this stuff, that the narrative will be, the Patriots didn't play anybody all year. All year, from week one to the super bowl, they didn't beat anybody. What more did this team have to do? I understand things got laid out there in a nice pattern, but you still gotta win. You still got to take advantage. Who cares? Who cares?
Scott Bogman
Yeah. I don't.
Joey P
Who cares? That's my big takeaway. Because that's all I keep hearing. Oh. And then they play it. C.J. stroud can't play. And I was like, okay, use that.
Scott Bogman
All you want before the playoffs. Use it all you want for the playoffs, right? Yes. Again. Well, they're weak going in the playoffs. I don't believe in this team. Whatever. Fine. You know, I was one of those guys, right? But they won two. They're in the AFC title game. You don't get there. And the defense, you trip into the.
Joey P
AFC defensive game plan for these first two playoff games. Unbelievably good. Unbelievably good. So shout out to. Because he's not the. The guy calling play is not the defensive coordinator because he's ill. So.
Scott Bogman
Right.
Joey P
So that's the other thing, too. People are forgetting, and I don't know how much variable is involved in. In. On the defensive side. He's just like head coaching, you know, and letting the guys just do their Job.
Scott Bogman
I think he's pretty.
Joey P
My guess is he's pretty involved, too. All right, we're gonna do some factor fiction. Drop your factor fictions in there. I've got a bunch of them as well here to get us started. Let's start here. Fact or fiction? The Cooks play was a catch, not an interception. Fact or fiction?
Scott Bogman
Fiction. Interception.
Joey P
Agreed. I think it's fact that it's a catch, but by the rules of the NFL, he doesn't maintain through the catch when he hits the ground. And to me, it was very easy. I saw it and I went, oh, what a great catch that they're not going to call a catch. That's literally what my response was out loud when I was watching the game, my cousin. And it was just like, control the ball. But we know that. So everybody's up in arms about it. Yeah, they're right. He caught the ball. Yeah, they're right. He was down. But the rule is you have to maintain contact through the complete catch. There you go.
Scott Bogman
Gotta complete it.
Joey P
All right, next up here, Kevin Sefaski will take the Falcons to the next level that has been lacking for the Falcons in the last couple years.
Scott Bogman
With all this talent, what is the next level? Is that it? Because if it's a Super Bowl. How about the playoffs?
Joey P
If it's the playoffs, maybe yes, that'd be nice. How about win that division and go to the playoffs?
Scott Bogman
I think the division was very winnable.
Joey P
So, yes, I agree. Fact as well. Fact or fiction? The Giants overpaid for John Harbaugh, got a big contract. Fiction. He's worth it. Why? Why is he worth it?
Scott Bogman
Yeah, because he's been consistent. He has 12 playoff victories in his tenure with the Ravens in a Super Bowl. A calming presence is what the Giants have been missing. The jets have been missing as well. You know, I understand the jets trying to go get a guy like Aaron Glenn, who is young in his coaching career and has a ton of upside and all of that, but I think what you need for this squad is for these squads in New York in particular, is a grounding presence. And that's what Harbaugh is. So a lot of youth on the roster, a lot of experience. That combo usually works. Remember Dick Vermeer? A lot of these guys remember Andy Reid. Right? So old guys, young quarterbacks usually work well.
Joey P
No head coach has ever won a Super bowl with two different organizations. They've gotten back. Parcels got back.
Scott Bogman
They're. They're a ways away from winning.
Joey P
I know, but I'm just saying it's a very interesting thing to think that a guy who's won a Super bowl has never gone to another organization and won another Super.
Scott Bogman
What I like. What I like about Harbaugh is that he has been involved in this draft process and the Ravens have been one of the best drafting.
Joey P
That is true. That is football.
Scott Bogman
So you know someone that picks the groceries. Right. Is what you want more than.
Joey P
And I think brings a level of professionalism, stability too because whether it's Ben McAdoo or you want to go through some of the Jabronis that they've had coaching this team. I mean going back, somebody made an Adam Gase comment this morning and I just laughed because like, oh my God, that's right. I almost blocked out Adam Gase, you know, with the crazy eye. Like could you imagine being a. Being a die hard jets fan having that pain and at watching that Adam G first press conference going what in the hell is happening? Like it is. It is like an Onion article.
Scott Bogman
That poor guy. What is that condition? That's. I don't know.
Joey P
It just felt. No, but even his personality just felt weird. Like forget the condition.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, he's weird, dude.
Joey P
He. Where is he now, G? What is he doing? Is he in college somewhere calling place for somebody?
Scott Bogman
I think he might. No, I think he's on a roster we should do.
Joey P
Where in the world is Adam G. Here's one for metal James Factor Fiction Max Crosby goes to the Bears. I'll tell you what, you bring that past Russia.
Scott Bogman
I think he goes away from New York.
Joey P
You think he goes or from.
Scott Bogman
From Vegas? Yeah, yeah. Look. Looks like he is not coaching anymore.
Joey P
Interesting. Interesting. I saw Matt Nagy's getting a look by the way at a couple jobs. Yikes.
Scott Bogman
I. I don't understand that at all. I don't get it. Like sure, you're the OC with the best quarterback. One of the best quarterbacks ever. Right in Patrick Mahomes. Great. What do you do in Chicago? You did nothing. All you did was ruin a quarterback's career. Why would anybody want Adam. Adam Gates or Matt.
Joey P
Well, Matt Nagy also. I feel like the last couple of years play calling was terrible for the Chiefs last couple years terrible.
Scott Bogman
I mean, I just. I'll never understand how, you know, the guy who wouldn't go to the meetings with the quarterback is getting another look. Give me a break.
Joey P
I don't know if Max Crosby is going to go to the Bears. Max Crosby is going to be gone from Las Vegas. Bears will be a good landing spot.
Scott Bogman
That's it.
Joey P
You know, certainly, yeah, he'll be. Somebody's going to.
Scott Bogman
Because whoever comes in, he. He is sick of this. He doesn't like being benched. No. That's why he. That's why he put that video up of him playing basketball on the ir, you know what I mean? Because he did not. He doesn't want to miss games. He understands it. But I think it was the right thing for the Raiders to do. But I would have done right by my player. This. I want the guy to stay. I would have let him play. So I get it. But I do think he's going to. I think he's going to weasel his way out of Vegas and they'll get a. They'll get a nice haul back for him.
Joey P
If I was the Tennessee Titans, I would back up the truck for Sean McDermott because I think McDermott can give you a stability there that you haven't had in that organization since variable. He gives you professionalism. He gets your defense right. He will bring in somebody smart to work with the young quarterback. Who knows? Maybe he'll bring Dable there. If you are Sean McDermott, you go to Tennessee, you bring day ball with you. Right? Your old offensive coordinator work with Cam Ward. That's a really good scenario, I think the best case scenario, I think, for Tennessee this offseason.
Scott Bogman
I, I like that. That actually is a really good scenario for them. By the way, I saw Arthur Smith interviewed for the Chargers OC position. Is there a more perfect fit than Arthur Smith with Jim Harbaugh?
Joey P
Gross. That threw up in my mouth.
Scott Bogman
A little Omari and Hampton to the moon.
Joey P
That's the only good part of coming. Fact or fiction? Messer Graham wants to know. Bengals mess up their 10 pick. Probably. Fact. I'll go Fact.
Scott Bogman
Of course. The Bangles. Yeah.
Joey P
Here we go. Next question. For just a question. Next. Dealers coach is who? Scott Bagman.
Scott Bogman
Chris Shula.
Joey P
Okay, there you go. That's fun. He fits the bill, right? He fits the.
Scott Bogman
The criteria connected to the Rams.
Joey P
You know, good organization, football background, obviously, all that stuff that, you know, defensive side. Yeah.
Scott Bogman
Okay. All right.
Joey P
A factor Fiction from. Better call Bob Factor fiction. Pats go to the bowl and beat the Rams. Fiction because they beat the Seahawks. Ha.
Scott Bogman
Fiction because the Seahawks are going to.
Joey P
You think the Seahawks stop them? You think so?
Scott Bogman
I don't know. You know. You know what? The Seahawks getting in would be interesting because what does Sam Donald play like in the Super Bowl? Right? Because we've seen him. We've seen him be bad on some big stages before but he's been good this year.
Joey P
It's pass rush. And if now that's.
Scott Bogman
Well. And the oblique injury that you picked up in the middle of the week. And they were really weird about this.
Joey P
At the top of the show. Tease it. We didn't talk about it. Zach Charbonnet, he gone. So you've lost another piece. Now you're down to the one running back. Right. Of Ken Walker.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, I understand.
Joey P
Yeah.
Scott Bogman
But I think. I think Kenneth Walker. I think giving all the touches to Kenneth Walker is better than splitting them between Walker and Charbonnet. But I think you do that because Walker doesn't make it through a full season. So I think having Walker in this position might be better for them moving forward like he was last week. But it's tough. And if he gets hurt, you're really okay.
Joey P
Fact.
Scott Bogman
Because it's George Holani after that.
Joey P
Fact or fiction. DJ Moore is a Bear next year. I agree.
Scott Bogman
I think you just got to get rid of him.
Joey P
I think it frees up more cap space for you spend on defense or spend on.
Scott Bogman
But you also got to get rid of them because the fans are.
Joey P
They want a scapegoat, which is not really fair because DJ Moore has made some big plays for the Bears this year.
Scott Bogman
They're driving to Pittsburgh. They've been. They keep looking for that second wide receiver.
Joey P
D.J. moore, D.K. metcalf, Malik Willis. I'm. That. That works for me. That works for me. All right. One more here. This might be morose, but I'm gonna do it anyway. Fact or fiction? Josh Allen will never play in a Super Bowl. Fact or fiction?
Scott Bogman
Fiction. May not be for the Bills, but.
Joey P
I'm gonna go fact. I'm gonna fact. And okay. It's tough and here's why.
Scott Bogman
To get there.
Joey P
I think what's happened here is the window for the Bills to shut.
Scott Bogman
And you said that before, you know.
Joey P
Worried that they missed the window and did they win the division New and when you don't win your division, I think you have to go on the road and win a ton of. That's right. I said it on the show. I don't care of road playoff games. And you know what? That's a problem.
Scott Bogman
Seth just dropped DJ Moore's contract. It's until 20.
Joey P
Doesn't mean it can't be moved in trade.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, he's. Well, he's man his cap numbers 28 and a half.
Joey P
We've seen. We've seen a million restructure. Like if somebody wants somebody and somebody wants to get rid of somebody. I am so sick of the whole cap discussion because you know what happens every single year? Everybody just finds a way. Somebody restructures. They happens every single year. Don't let that think that you can't possibly get out of a player or a team can't take somebody on. They find a way to do it every single freaking year. But I, I'm going back to the.
Scott Bogman
Bills and then, I mean, look, flip them to the Titans. They got exactly so much money.
Joey P
You find a team that has the cap space or even one that doesn't. I mean, look, D.J. morris, go to the Bills. You want to work out that deal.
Scott Bogman
$93 million in cap space for the Titans, 82 million for the Raiders, 62 million, 66 million for the Jets, 63 million.
Joey P
All the commanders.
Scott Bogman
There's plenty of teams that could take.
Joey P
Going back to the Bills thing again. If the Patriots are now back at the top and you are now the two spot in that division. Right. Maybe a very close to, but still the two spot again, maybe that flips next year. Who knows? Josh Allen's great. This is not a hang up on Josh Allen. This is now what the path looks like, which is you're going to have a new coach probably, unless Joe Brady gets promoted. You're going to have a new offensive coordinator regardless. Probably. And now you're going to be in a situation where you have to go on the road and win multiple playoff games. And that's going to be very tricky. It's going to be very tricky. And you're not bad enough to ever get a top pick to really help you with a big impact player. You're going to be in that, that mid danger zone. Bogman knows all about that. You're going to be in that nine and eight, you know, 10 win danger zone there of making NFL.
Scott Bogman
Marvin Lewis, Mike Tomlin. Yeah.
Joey P
Don't like it at all. You know playoff teams that lose consistently. No man's land in the draft unless you're the Ravens. You just take BPA every year. And you know what? It works.
Scott Bogman
It works.
Joey P
It does work. All right, let's talk about how smart Scott Bogman is because he just called two out of the three touchdowns last week. So he is kicking my ass. I got no, I got no touchdowns last week. Puka Harvey. Josh Allen. Josh Allen, zero. What are we doing? You got JSN and Kyron Williams. You didn't get love one. Thank God. So I'm not completely done.
Scott Bogman
I should have because you know why I didn't get loveland because he went out two plays before the commit. Touchdown. So.
Joey P
All right, let's go to this week. I'm taking Ramandre Stevenson because I watched James Cook run amok on the Denver Broncos. Denver Broncos have some things to fix in the run defense last week. Holy crap. And I was so sick of watching them run Trayvon Henderson into. Into the freaking tackles. Like, can we, can we get him outside just once for a run? I was like, why are we running into the greatest front ever? You know what?
Scott Bogman
Let's.
Joey P
Let's give another. That was the only thing that really pissed me off. I like if I had to watch one more guy run into that front.
Scott Bogman
I don't think if you want to. You want to stretch out the Texans defense, you would have gotten Henderson.
Joey P
I want to try it once.
Scott Bogman
Jayen Petrie is coming in like a.
Joey P
A missile aggressiveness you might slip one by because they're so quick off the line. They're so fast. Just once.
Scott Bogman
I mean, run it twice so you could bootleg to the other side something.
Joey P
Just give me some kind of variation of it. So I'm going to take Stevenson this week. I'm going to take Puka Nakua this week because it's still all Puka all the time. And I'm going to take Stefon Diggs because I think playoff Stefan, it's fun play. How'd you catch that ball, Stefan? My hands. That's a quarter of the week. I caught it with my hands. All right, Boggs, give me your. Give me your picks for this week. What do you have?
Scott Bogman
We're going back to. Well with Kyren. I mean, Kyren just.
Joey P
He's scored.
Scott Bogman
And by the way, are we going by total touchdowns or just if they score a touchdown? Because I should have an extra one. If we are going by how many touchdowns they score.
Joey P
They score two. I'm going to go higher. I don't care. That's fine. You're right.
Scott Bogman
Four for me then. And then JSN again. You know, he's just obviously the leader in the clubhouse to score there. I'm going to stay in the same game. I'm not even going to go to your game because I don't know how the Broncos are scoring with Jared Stidham. You know, I think anybody could score on your team, so it doesn't feel great. So I'll go with A.J. barner. You know, he's just. He's a red zone guy. He does the tush push as well when they get down there. So I like AJ Barner to get in the end zone. So I have got Kyron JSN and Barner. So two Seahawks and a Ram for me. All NFC title game, all the late game.
Joey P
Before we wrap up today, let's get our takes, our hot takes for the AFC Championship, NFC championship. My hot take is after watching what's going on the last couple weeks in the playoffs that the Broncos inability to run the football against that past defense to support Jared Stidham success is probably what's going to happen. And I'm confident that Drake may, after getting his ass kicked the last two weeks by some really good defenses is not going to be intimidated going on the road to play another good defense. Like I feel like he's like he is taking all the licks, he's taking all the hits, he's taking all the turnovers but he's not collapsing. He, he finds a way with K Sha booty to throw a perfect ball. And, and, and by the way, can we talk about how tough it was with Stingley on there like to, to catch that football. My God. Incredible play all around for everybody. And Stingley's coverage could not have been any better. And still they found a way.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, the only way you can beat Stingley is to have a one handed circus catch.
Joey P
And Diggs had an incredible like he's getting effort out of everybody around him. There's no quit in that team. And I. We could talk about the line. I don't love the line. I'm comfortable with it at five and a half. If it grows more, I might be uncomfortable with it because it's still on the road still. Denver is still a tough place to play, but I think the Pats move on and I think that the Seattle Seahawks move on as well. I think that the Rams again, I'm sick and tired of hearing about the Rams. The Rams keep sneaking by and I don't like it. And I think maybe, maybe the clock strikes 12 on them in Seattle. Very tough place to play, environments loud, good coaching staff there on Seattle. The defense is really good. Those are my tips on that games.
Scott Bogman
Joe, think of the last game in Seattle between these two teams. It was the crazy.
Joey P
I don't think it's going to be.
Scott Bogman
Nearly like 2 point conversion.
Joey P
I don't think it's going to be as it was.
Scott Bogman
It should not be that high.
Joey P
Very different.
Scott Bogman
This third time should not be third time around.
Joey P
It's going to be different.
Scott Bogman
I'll say this like you know the game plan for the Patriots two weeks in a row on defense has been incredible. Maybe it's harder to game plan for Cidim because you haven't seen him a lot, but I'm going to just trust that the Patriots have their starting quarterback, the Broncos don't, and that's the game. So for me, there's no other pick but the Patriots in that game. The NFC title game is much more interesting because the Rams should have beat the Seahawks in Seattle last time. That two point conversion was weird. I think if you go back and that's a major moment in the playoffs, you don't give them that. Right. You don't give them that two point conversion. I don't think they should have had it in the first game, so they probably should have lost that game. But that's the margins we're talking about in this game. So I think it's going to be another really close, tight one. But I'm going to go with the Rams because of Matthew Stafford. You know that that's, I think that is the difference in this one. I may flip flop. I'm not going to be shocked.
Joey P
Matthew Stafford, the mvp, they got a great head coach and Sean mcvan.
Scott Bogman
I want to know more about this oblique.
Joey P
That's fine.
Scott Bogman
I want to know more about it because all we did, all we heard about it on Thursday and then he was questionable to play the game, but he insisted he was going to play. And then all they did was hand the ball off. Right. They didn't have to throw the ball that much against the Niners. So we really don't know what Sam Darnold's level is. We saw him make some plays. If that's it, if that's what it was and he's going to be okay, then fine. He's fine. But if it's more than that or if he aggravated it or if it gets worse during practice, I do, I do have questions about the Seahawks. So I like the Rams and the Patriots to play another Super Bowl.
Joey P
Real quick, last thing, give us your national championship final score today.
Scott Bogman
Indiana.
Joey P
Indiana. What Hoosiers score?
Scott Bogman
27.
Joey P
27.
Scott Bogman
17 was my 2717.
Joey P
Okay.
Seth
All right.
Joey P
Indiana's been Indiana owning team, so that's, that's closer than I thought they have been.
Scott Bogman
But the, the 27 that Miami gave up to Ole Miss last week is the most they've given up all year. All right, so they don't give up points. Indiana's had difficulty against teams with a really good pass rush and like Iowa, Ohio State, Penn State. Those, those are teams. Those are like the only Close games they've had all year. And those are teams with really good pass rush and we saw Ole Miss. Not a great pass rush this year. Or I'm sorry, who they play last week. Bama. Not. Not a really good pass rush and. Yeah. And not a good pass rush. So, you know, I. Indiana is too perfect. I think it would take an absolute monumental, crazy effort from Miami to win that game. It's not out of the realm of possibility. They're at home. But I don't know if they're even going to have home field advantage because Indiana has been traveling. They've been, you know, you don't have to go to the playoff for 50 years. So you've got money to travel if you're in Indiana.
Joey P
I'm going 30 to 13. Indiana. That's my, that's my score. I just. Indiana keeps handling everybody and you know, I love Kurt Signetti. You know, that's my dude. I just think he's.
Scott Bogman
Dude. When. When Tomlin stepped down, everyone's like, signetti's from Pittsburgh.
Joey P
He is. How do we get him out of that?
Scott Bogman
But how do we get him out of that? I was like, I don't think I want a 65 year old guy coming in.
Joey P
Probably not.
Scott Bogman
He's not leaving. Why would he leave Indiana? He's a factory now.
Joey P
He is. Yeah. All right, don't forget everybody. Subscribe to our Twitch Twitch TV fantasy pro. Subscribe to the YouTube channel. If you want to keep the conversation going, go to our discord. Date: January 20, 2026
Hosts: Joey P (Joe Pisapia), Scott Bogman
Guest/Producer: Seth Diewald
This episode delivers an in-depth, entertaining recap of the NFL Divisional Round, with the FantasyPros team breaking down every key game, major injuries, coaching moves, standout performances, and controversial moments. Joey P and Scott Bogman give candid fantasy and NFL analysis while also poking fun at their own teams and each other. Notable topics include the end of the Bills’ season and Sean McDermott’s firing, the dominant Seattle win over the 49ers, defensive showdowns, and memorable clutch plays. Listener questions and “Fact or Fiction” rounds add sharp takes and fun speculation about coaching hires, player futures, and the upcoming championship games.
Joey P and Bogman recount their live betting adventure during Bills-Broncos. Joey wore both teams’ gear to “jinx” the outcomes, culminating in Allen’s postseason exit, Denver’s dramatic win but QB injury, and the Bills firing Sean McDermott.
“I wanted to somehow jinx both teams. …It worked because Josh Allen's out of the playoffs.” – Joey P (01:03) “It is right to break your ankle in the last play of the game to go into the AFC title game.” – Bogman (02:20)
Bogman analyzes the decision to fire McDermott, explaining the Bills’ stagnation and poor player development:
“You just don't want to get stuck in that Tomlin middle where…it’s been nine seasons. You can't get over the hump.” – Bogman (02:57) “You've hit on some big picks, right? You hit on Josh Allen…but you've whiffed on like everybody in the secondary, a lot of offensive line picks.” (02:56)
Lamenting the lack of a true WR1 replacement for Stefon Diggs:
“You still haven’t replaced him in the offense. You haven’t given Josh Allen..." – Joey P (04:00) “You can't go into a playoff game with Brandon Cooks as your best wide receiver at this juncture.” (04:20)
Joey and Bogman debate the timing and wisdom of McDermott's firing given coaching musical chairs.
“Now, when you have Stefanski off the board and Harbaugh off the board, and you make this decision now, it better be a Kubiak and you better be right.” – Joey P (07:16)
“He's spectacular, but the burden of having to do too much all the time takes its toll on him mentally, I think.” – Joey P (05:13) “This is like, you feel like Sisyphus, you know, you're pushing that rock up the hill to no avail.” – Bogman (05:50)
Seattle’s defense dominates a beat-up Niners squad. The hosts joke about conspiracy theories regarding San Francisco’s injury woes.
“This game was over at the jump. …That soccer tackle, I wanted to jump through my television and punch that kicker right in the nuts.” – Joey P (09:17) “We knew the Niners were too beat up to be in this position.” – Bogman (10:07)
Hosts riff on the infamous substation “tissue damage” rumors:
“49ers look pretty dead on Saturday night.” – Joey P (11:40)
Defensive slugfest. Both teams’ D-lines get rave reviews. Stroud is harrassed all game, and rookie QB May makes several clutch throws despite mistakes.
“That is one of the best fronts I’ve ever seen.” – Bogman (12:01) “Give [Drake May] some credit. He made a couple big plays when he had to...The booty throw and catch was unbelievable.” – Joey P (12:13; 12:39)
Deep dive into why Houston’s offensive line cost them and the Patriots secondary’s excellent play.
“They just had nothing. … It just all worked perfect to harass CJ Stroud.” – Bogman (14:36) “If you play anybody but Pittsburgh last week, you get your ass kicked with the fumbles and the interceptions and the tip balls…” (14:15)
Dramatic finish: Caleb Williams’ miracle 20-yard retreat and bomb to Cole Kmet, aided by a debatable OPI. Hosts debate Williams’ style—magic vs. bad habits.
“To create that space to get the ball off is incredible...We also had 100% offensive pass interference.” – Bogman (18:46) “Everything about that play was wrong and the outcome was right.” – Joey P (19:48)
Williams’ lowest completion % is noted as a developmental concern, but his magic and ceiling draw optimism.
“He already has the magic. Now get him the basic stuff.” – Bogman (20:13)
Catch of the week:
“That catch was spectacular.” – Joey P, discussing the Pop Douglas or Booty highlight vs. the Texans (12:39)
Moment of the week:
