Welsh
What's. What is it, boys? This says, look at the ball behind you.
Joey P
Look at the ball. This is like a knives out kind of thing. What's happening? Whoa.
Welsh
What is this? This says look at the tv.
Joey P
Okay, looking at.
Welsh
Oh, guys, there's one right here too.
Joey P
Oh my gosh. What's happening?
Welsh
This is like one of those memes. Look under the Hat. People know I've got a itl hat here. Let me look here guys.
Joey P
This is gonna be amazing for the people just listening.
Welsh
Yeah. And final one says. What does it say? Two catches, 22 yards. Who had two catches in 22 yards that these post it notes got us to the whole week. Bogman. Who is that?
Scott Bogman
Oh, is that Justin Jefferson?
Joey P
Justin. Jeff.
Welsh
Wait, the Justin Jefferson who had a.
Scott Bogman
Touchdown called back on a pass interference.
Welsh
But wait, the note says this is. I don't see a touchdown.
Scott Bogman
McCarthy's faults. He had 250 yards and two touchdowns. Is that J.J. mcCarthy's fault?
Welsh
The note only it didn't mention the four targets. But yeah, that's Justin. Isn't that crazy?
Joey P
I got a note here.
Scott Bogman
Guess what it says. Guess what it says.
Welsh
I could guess what it says.
Scott Bogman
You can you hear what it says?
Welsh
I think I know what it to you right now. I think I know what it says. I mean listen guys, I don't know. Those notes were just here. And the rabbit hole led us down to man, highly defended Justin Jefferson. After I screamed about. It's. I don't know how I got here, guys.
Joey P
You know, you read my note.
Scott Bogman
I put it in the private chat.
Joey P
Yeah, yeah. Well it's private for a reason. You know, it's funny, we've been friends for more than a decade, the three of us. Well, before we worked here, we've worked other places together. It's our pettiness that I think keeps us together after all these years. It's the pettiness. It really. Yeah, that's what real friendships about.
Welsh
Friendships are built on the pettiness. But yeah, sorry guys. I don't know how that happened. That's crazy.
Joey P
Just appeared. All right, it's great to see everybody.
Welsh
Posted notes and catches and Justin Jefferson.
Joey P
Sorry a lot of these things. So honestly, as always, we can have you guys do this all day and I'd watch it but I want to get to some of the people's discussions where the people show. So we're going to talk about the big injuries, everything going on from here, what's going on in the NFL. We're also going to take fact or fiction questions. So again, factor fictions, drop them in the chat. That's our last segment of the show. We had a bunch of really good ones last week there in the fact of fiction from our people here. But let's start with Mahomes. It's a big injury. It's a, it's a, it's to cap off a. A really difficult season for the Kansas City Chiefs, a season where they were coming off a massive loss, blowout loss in the Super Bowl. Teams the next year typically don't perform well after that. An aging team in a lot of spots, a team that was trying to hang on for one more run as currently constituted. Not only do they not make the playoffs on Sunday, but they also end up having Patrick Mahomes get hurt. Taurus acl. He's out for the rest of this year. Probably a piece of next year at the very least. It's like the football gods have told the Kansas City Chiefs right now, hey.
Scott Bogman
It'S time to sound so sad about this.
Joey P
Well, because I guess as a Patriots fan, I have a different appreciation for greatness. And I think you would too, as a Steelers fan, that there's things where like, okay, it's time to turn it over into whatever the next evolution is going to be. And it's time to get Patrick Mahomes a wide receiver who's bigger than 5 foot 10 and weighs more than 165 pounds. It's time to get Patrick Mahomes a run game to support him as he gets now into this 30s of his career. And I think there's another leg here of Patrick Mahomes, no pun intended. But that's funny that I said that, where you can turn the Kansas City Chiefs into that next version of themselves, where they can go on another run. Scott Bogman. Do you think they can do that now this offseason with the whole Patrick Holmes injury basically putting you in that position where it's like, hey, he's probably not gonna be there at the start of the season. At the very least, this is your perfect time to kind of take a step back to go forward, right?
Scott Bogman
Of course they can. I. I remember a certain quarterback with seven super bowl rings that has also had a torn ACL to start the season and had to miss the whole.
Welsh
Year in his ninth year. Pretty fine ninth year, by the way.
Scott Bogman
Was it also in his ninth year?
Welsh
There was only 1200 tweets about that. Guys, did you know that both in their ninth year, they both suffered torn ACLs? It's crazy.
Scott Bogman
So I'll say this. Here's the problem that the Chiefs have, right? It's not just that Mahomes is hurt, it's that he got hurt so late in the season that I think it's going to be October before he can come back, maybe November before he can come back. And Andy Reid is an older state elder statesman as far as NFL coaches go he's done his winning. He has an immaculate record. He's a first ballot hall of Famer. So it's all on. Does Andy Reid want to stick around? So I think it's a pretty good transition to Spags if he does want to resign, if Spags wants to keep going as well. Like, I think the danger is more of not that you're going to lose Patrick Mahomes for an extended period of time, that probably, that probably is going to happen. So next year might be a down year for the Chiefs as well. It's getting him back healthy after that and figuring out this coaching staff if these guys decide to leave. I think that's the biggest issue that the Chiefs have now. Does Andy Reid want to stick through what might be a rebuilding year after he's had so much success recently? I think that's, that's my biggest question. But Mahomes will be fine.
Joey P
What does that rebuild look like for the Chiefs next year? Obviously offensive line help, sure, we all know that. But you know, if, if you're looking at, you know, Travis Kelsey maybe, you know, towards the end here, does he want, he has got one year left in his contract. Does he want to come back and try to play through it? But, but you know, it, to me, it keeps going back to the same thing, which is that remake of Tom Brady we were talking about when they gave him Randy Moss. Right. When they gave him Randy Moss, all of a sudden they were, they were not losing any games. Right. You know, I feel like it's time to give him an alpha dog wide receiver. They, to me, that's the one thing that if I'm Patrick Mahomes I want on my Christmas list. What do you think, Walsh?
Welsh
I, I, I just gotta take it. I just don't think you're gonna see a rebuild of the Chiefs. You guys are making it out like.
Joey P
Like, maybe not a rebuild, but I'm talking about a re, a reset. I think that's.
Welsh
No, I, I don't think there's gonna be that. Here's the only version of a reset and it's going to be a temporary fix. If Mahomes is out for the majority of next year, which I kind of think is gonna happen. Tearing your ACL in mid December. Travis Kelce gonna retire, probably not gonna play a full season, and he looks one foot out and then Rasheed Rice probably finally having to deal with his suspension and being out, that's going to look like it's rebuilt. All they're going to do is they're going to band aid it. I do not think if you have the core pieces they will ever implement an actual because a rebuild would be dismantling the pieces. Rasheed Rice is a pretty damn good wide receiver. But you know what? A lot of this was on Mahomes this year. We talked about it earlier in the year. Mahomes was at the tippy top of turnover. Worthy throws the whole year like he was under duress because of an offensive line. He couldn't get to the pieces. Worthy could never get going. They didn't have a running game. So guess what? That's not a rebuild. That's a rebuild. The offensive line, that's the thing that they're going to focus on. They will band aid this with free agents that want to be a part of the dynasty. They will throw all the money and sliders they have to at Andy Reid to keep him there as long as they need to. There will be no rebuild. It will just be putting some Tussin on it and they'll figure it out.
Scott Bogman
I wish a bad 26 and then 27 is fine.
Welsh
They'll bring in some. Some doofy quarterback that's looking for an opportunity next year to cover for Mahomes. They'll bring it. They're not going to spend. They're going to bring in another free agent that they think can work aside because you know Rashid Rice probably going to serve his suspension and then they'll probably go sign Isaiah likely, which by the way, dead to me. Isaiah likely. But they'll go and sign someone like that. That'll be their big free agent spin and it just will never be an actual rebound. The Chiefs are too much in that I think mid Patriot era.
Scott Bogman
But what if Reed leaves like Belichick never left.
Joey P
That's a great point.
Scott Bogman
Brady. Tom Brady left. So do you think they're. They are in trouble if Andy Reid decides to go and Spags follows?
Welsh
I think if anything else, more than they would build that around. If Spags were to take over, they'd build that around that they're not going to rebuild. Like I don't think someone like that would want to jump into that situation. If it's like guys you're going to have. You're going to have none of your good players going to get rid of this. We're going to get like they have the guys. You. You argued all season long that Isaiah Pacheco is just really talented back Rasheed Rice. Let's not argue. Rashid Rice is a great receiver. Xavier Worthy is completely underutilized. Guess what? They've got weapons. This isn't the Saints. They've got weapons. It is just the offensive line has been destroyed and it's made Mahomes worse. So I, I don't, I, I think they're just going to put a couple things around what they've already got. And specifically that would be throwing all the money you have to in the offensive line so they could start running the freaking ball again. Cause they haven't been able to do that all season.
Joey P
The running game has. And you need that to sport.
Scott Bogman
You need a running back too because Pacheco is done like, oh yeah, they.
Joey P
Need a running back.
Scott Bogman
And you know, we talked about this with Deepak in the offseat this time last year he was coming off that fractured fibula. It was like, okay, maybe he'll get going at some point this season. And even with the slow start, I thought maybe he'll get better because we did. You know, we've seen Javante pop back from his knee injury. Looked like garbage two years in a row. Maybe Pacheco still has that. But they need, they need a big time running back. They need a Jonathan Taylor in this offense. Something like that.
Joey P
Ted's got a question here. How much value does Rush your Rice have without Mahomes? Well, Gardner Minchins shoe is capable, so I think Rice will be fine. I mean you're. He's not coming out of my lineup. That's if I'm in week 16 playoffs. I'm still playing him this week against the Titans. Would you all agree? Yes.
Scott Bogman
Yes.
Joey P
All right, so he's not coming out of the lineup. So it doesn't change too much there on that account. All right, next topic here. Another torn acl, Micah Parsons. Ooh wee Welsh. This is poor Fitzy. It was his birthday on Sunday and he was trying to enjoy himself. And I said, how, how was your birthday? And he said, well, I watched the Green Bay Packer season go up in flames. And I said, come on, you know, you're still alive there. But here's my big thing. And I talked about this on the betting pro show today too. Welsh. My point was when you lose that pass rush, it exposes the corners a little bit more. And we've all said this year, you know, the secondary is not great in Green Bay. Now all of a sudden you lose that pass rush, it puts more pressure on those guys. So this is a very difficult situation for the Green Bay Packers. What are your thoughts on this Parsons injury and what it does to the potential. Does it kill the Green Bay packers potential to go to the Super Bowl.
Welsh
Now, I don't know if it kills. You don't want to say it completely dismantles, but I think it puts it in, like, tiers below. Like, the packers look like a team in the NFC that maybe could run away with it. You had Watson, who got hurt, which, by the way, looks like he avoided any big major thing. He's in question for this week. They finally got their wide receiver core going. They've got an incredible offense, but it was just paired with this great defense. But, yeah, man, they got rid of Kenny Clark, so that's made the defensive line a little susceptible. They lost their pass rush, which makes them susceptible, and that hurts a secondary. I just think this puts them on a pretty even playing field right now. I mean, I don't even. I'm not looking at the sheet at the second, but, yeah, we don't have it on here, but, like, Devonte Adams has a pretty big scare. It's like the Rams losing a little bit of their pieces. Coming back down to earth. The packers are coming back down to earth. I liken it to, like, you know, the 49ers or defense has just been kind of, you know, dog water, but their offense has really been clicking. I actually think just a lot of the NFC teams are on a much greater even playing field right now. Cowboys just stunk it up, and they're. They're only offense. Eagles have just not been able to put it all together. I think you're literally looking at, like, five teams that all look on that playing field. And I think the loss of Parsons puts the packers in that, and I think it does make them a little bit more susceptible. Like, I might take the offensive upside with a healthy Devonte Adams of, like, the Rams or something like that.
Joey P
Yeah, we're still waiting on this news, too. Look, there's no way he's playing Thursday. I could tell you that much. Boys and girls like you better have an option ready to go and start hitting the waiver wire hard. The best case scenario, I think, is he misses the rest of the regular season. You have him for the first round of the playoffs that you're playing in. I think that's what the Rams are most concerned with. That's what I would be most concerned with. Hot take here, Boggs, you know, because we're kind of talking about defense and talking about somebody's teams. I think the most dangerous team right now, and I mean dangerous, is the Houston Texans. That defense is ferocious. Yeah, the Offense is starting to click a little bit. I don't want any part of the Texans in the first round. If I'm somebody like, I do not want to play that team because especially in their building, which are probably not going to be in that position, they're probably going to be going on the road. But we saw it last year because we did that game together. We did that game live, the. The Chargers Texas game. And the Texans defense just came out and just smacked the taste out of their mouth. And it was an amazing thing to watch. And you and I love defense, so that was fun for us. Not so much fun if you are Justin Herbert, who had not thrown any picks and they threw what more picks in that game than he did the entire season, got beat up.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, that. That O line right now is tough as well. But yeah, he got beat up in that game. And that's what this, this defense does. The line hammers the quarterback into the ground, makes him not want to throw it, and then he starts getting happy feet and panicking and throwing the ball. So I just. That team is definitely scary. If they can get the run game going for the playoffs, they're going to be real dangerous. Woody Marks has to stay healthy, though, because they just. I guess Jawar Jordan looked okay, but. Yeah, I. But I don't want to go down to that inexperience. I would rather, I mean, I guess Woody Marks in that experience. But I do think that this team's offense is their hang up. Right. Like, if you can get Nico going, I'd love to have seen more from Jaden Higgins. Dalton Schultz had a decent year, but the run game and the O line are the big questions for the Texans because that defense will play anywhere and any weather.
Welsh
Imagine if there's like a wrestling open and it's like, oh, my God, is that Joe Mixon? Like, Joe Mixon just like appears, you know, like week 17 from the roof. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. 100.
Joey P
And he's got the whole crow makeup too. He's got to do the full gimmick. Like, if you're gonna do it, you do the. Yeah, he's got a baseball bat, the whole thing.
Welsh
This is why AI was made. Guys just want to point out, like, AI is here so somebody could please Joe Mixon in the Sting outfit. So just. Just ask.
Joey P
Something tells me in post we might see that on the show. I don't know. We'll see. Bill's had a huge W credit to the Bills. Josh Allen. Look, man, he's that second half comeback kid. And, and it's funny because, you know, Patriots had a 21 point lead. They're crushing the Buffalo Bills. But part of now learning is when you're winning, how to keep your foot on the. The gas there. Trayvon had that big run, but at the end of the day, James Cook. Every time James Cook touches the football, he wants to score. It could be like 3rd and 1. You need the 1 yard he's looking to score. I love that about James Cook. And I don't know if there was a more maligned running back this offseason going into draft season, the Cook touchdown regression. Don't touch James Cook. He's good. I got him in more drafts than I could possibly shake his dick at. And all I heard all season long in the off season was, don't draft James Cook. And I'm like, why? Because the rest of this offense is so dependable. I just don't understand it. So thank you, James Cook. I appreciate you, and thank you all you analysts who, you know, look at only the numbers, but not enough about the football. See this football and the numbers and when they come together, see, that's when they make a little bit more sense. Miles Garrett, also one sack away, finally from breaking the record. Part of me, but I don't guys know this story or not, but you know that. Like, did you guys see that Mark Gastineau thing where he was bitching at.
Scott Bogman
Crying at Brett Favreau.
Joey P
Dying for Josh Allen to take a dive next week against the Browns so Mark Gastineau can drive up to Miles to Josh Allen's house?
Scott Bogman
I don't think he'll do that to Miles Garrett.
Joey P
No, no, but drive up to Josh Allen's. You know, Josh Allen will take it. He's such a nice guy. Like, no, not the. No, no, he's not driving up the Miles.
Welsh
I wish they were going up against the Raiders, though. And I was just like, wouldn't it be fitting if Garrett did it against Kenny Pickett and then he took his helmet and he just smashed his head in?
Joey P
Or.
Welsh
No, that was.
Joey P
No.
Scott Bogman
I can tell you what's going to happen.
Joey P
He's going to get one quarterback.
Scott Bogman
He's going to save it to get it against the Steelers in Cleveland.
Joey P
He's not going to save it.
Scott Bogman
He's not going to have a sack this week. He's going to get two. He's going to get two against Pittsburgh in Cleveland to break the record, because it's. T.J. watt tied Strahan with the record a couple of years ago. So he wants to break it against the Steelers.
Welsh
He wants to crush this thing. He's going to get seven more.
Joey P
All right, let's get to our takeaways. Welsh, why don't you kick things off real quick?
Scott Bogman
Hold on. Why don't you go. Why don't you take a look at my takeaway? Welsh, why don't you read that for the class?
Welsh
Your takeaway. Where is yours?
Joey P
It's.
Welsh
J.J. mcCarthy is starting to work, just not with Justin Jefferson. Yeah, that's exactly what I said last week. Justin Jefferson doesn't exist.
Joey P
J.J. mcCarthy.
Scott Bogman
McCarthy was awful. I said he was okay. And by the way, have you not given Joe crap for not looking at the takeaway before the show for like 10 weeks straight? And then you opened up by not looking at mine? That was exactly the takeaway.
Joey P
That's all.
Welsh
My bit was better than just pointing out.
Joey P
Yeah, that's. It was.
Scott Bogman
But I just, you know, why did I feel like.
Joey P
I feel like, like the, like the adult in the room here. And I hate that. When am I the adult? This is terrible.
Welsh
I mean, I'm just saying the. Jeff, I said. This is exactly what I said. You were like, oh, he's better. And I'm like, yeah, he does look better, but he is incapable of getting the ball to Justin Jefferson.
Scott Bogman
He had a touchdown to him. It got called back on a penalty.
Welsh
Dude, it didn't happen. Not on the statute four target. You know what? Maybe through seven more times. Maybe give him actual targets. Stop doing Jaylen Naylor.
Joey P
I agree. The Giants, I think, I think, revives. I got more questions this weekend about Justin Jefferson in playoffs, which is hilarious because that means all these things. Teams are still in it with Justin Jefferson. And that's really interesting to me.
Scott Bogman
Like, pretty good team, right?
Joey P
So, like, how. How do these teams all survive the. The death penalty? That was Justin Jefferson on your roster this year, but obviously a bunch did. I know I've got a team. I got two teams with Justin Jefferson there in the playoffs. That's just really interesting.
Welsh
I, I in Flex League, I, Justin Jefferson, Dak Prescott and Jake Ferguson. And I was down like 30, and guess what? I lost by 10. Justin Jefferson is two catches and 20 James Cook.
Joey P
Now we understand. Well, it's funny. Remember I told you I'm close to overcoming the P here. I'm up with 30 points going into Tuesday night. They've got DK and Waddle, but I had ATN. I had James Cook on the same team there with Amon Raw. So that was a. That's the that's the only way to combat the 40 spot in the half. PBR that Kyle Pitts dropped on me Thursday night where I was like, well, I'm just throwing in the towel. I don't know how this is happening, but, you know, I'm still cautiously optimistic, but we'll see how it works out. So your takeaway. J.J. looks good. And you're right. Bogs like he the last couple. He looks better. He's got a good matchup against the Giants this week.
Welsh
Yeah.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, I know.
Welsh
After those bad matchups against the Commanders and the Cowboys. You're right.
Scott Bogman
Yeah. I think he's going to get better. I'm sick of this. You know What? I hope J.J. mcCarthy. J.J. mcCarthy throws the ball solely to Justin Jefferson because you've been eliminated. I hope it happens.
Welsh
I hope it does, too. It'd be the first time I'd love to be incorrect. I'm just right every single week. So.
Joey P
Welsh's takeaway. Yeah.
Scott Bogman
And the three, one four.
Joey P
Let's go to ours.
Welsh
That game's stupid.
Joey P
Well, sure. Takeaway. Regarding the Colts. I didn't blow it. This is two weeks in a row. I want a little credit.
Welsh
Yeah. Oh, well, I actually. I deleted the. We had a Philip Rivers thing on there. I deleted it so we wouldn't ruin it earlier. If we're being honest, I took that out. So I saved them.
Joey P
But the had a Rivers thing in there and I was like, you did? You know, But I was like, it's.
Welsh
Gonna ruin the thing. But the cults are exactly what we thought they were. I mean, like to a T. Philip Rivers. Yeah. I mean, serviceable, can't move. Like, it was actually scary and embarrassing at the same time to watch him. Like when he tripped on that one. Like he can't move and he knows he can't move and he gave and he gave up. And it's kind of hard to watch a 44 year old get hit like that. But the offense is to a T. Exactly what we thought. Alec Pierce, not involved. He had one target in the game. It was check downs to running backs. Amir Abdullah and Jonathan Taylor had nine targets. Amir Abdullah led in receptions. Tyler Warren had the most targets. Just like I said, couldn't do anything with it. The receivers are cooked. There is no big deep flight. I mean, they were running on third and tens. If you were watching it, this could change a little bit. Philip Rivers missed, like this really, like open spot where it looked like Josh Downs could have just, you know, gone forever. But Philip Rivers doesn't want to throw the ball deep. Maybe he'll be more comfortable. Maybe after three or four weeks, you know, his body will acclimate a little bit. But like this should be it. You should be betting Jonathan Taylor over on attempts. He had 25 rush attempts and four targets. It is going to be check down city. I think they're all, all the offensive options outside of Jonathan Taylor are a really, really big risk and kind of cooked.
Joey P
This is funny here from J Chow. Happy Monday, gents. Pray for me. I'm up 1.4 points in my second main league and Calvin Austin is on the opposite side there.
Scott Bogman
Oh, that's a maybe that's what I.
Joey P
Was like, you like, like don't watch. Just don't watch. Like you're just better off not watching.
Scott Bogman
Just gonna have one catch for two yards and you're gonna win my point.
Joey P
You can feel it in your bones, right? Like it's just the absolute worth. All right. You know, one of my takeaways was the Houston Texans that they're the most dangerous team. The other thing is since we already talked about that, since I kind of co opted my own takeaway is you.
Welsh
Did kill your own takeaway.
Joey P
So I'm gonna change my. This Joe Burrow.
Scott Bogman
This guy's a takeaway cereal.
Joey P
I'm a take. I just. What I do is I take away the takeaways. That's what I do. That's what I do. The Joe Burrow comments earlier in the week about football and if it's not fun anymore, I don't want to play. And then the performance on Sunday has got me a little worried. I think that's only going to go one of two ways.
Scott Bogman
I have an idea for this, by the way.
Joey P
Okay, well, I want to hear your idea. I'm going to throw this out to you. I think it's either going to next week, you're going to see Joe Burrow light it up for 300 something because he was so embarrassed when he played and he's in his feelings and he's going to turn it around. It's in Miami and it's a lot warmer in a better environment. He's going to sling the ball around and look amazing or he's in a other part where it's either an Andrew Luck scenario or I don't want to be in Cincinnati scenario anymore. Which of those options you think it is? Box, since you have.
Scott Bogman
I think it's I don't want to be in Cincinnati anymore. Okay. So. And I think that the Rams should trade their next Three first round picks for Joe Burrow in the offseason because Matthew Stafford's probably going to retire, specifically if they win the Super Bowl.
Joey P
Probably retire.
Scott Bogman
Right. So I think he'll be done. Trade all of your picks to go get Joe Burrow because that's the one issue you're going to have next year. Get Joe Burrow in LA with Sean McVay. That team is going to be extremely dangerous. I don't know if the Bengals would go for it, but they're losers. They probably would. So I is probably going to cost more than the three first round picks. But do whatever you need to do to make it work, right? And get Joe Burrow on your team to replace Stafford. And I mean, you might have a real dynasty with the Rams at that point.
Joey P
Well, is there a better chance that he goes away in Cincinnati or that he Andrew Lux, everybody?
Welsh
I think there's a better chance he Andrew Lux, but I think this is just. I think he's just being a crybaby. I don't think he's going anywhere. Bengals will never give him up.
Joey P
You are salty today, bro.
Welsh
Well, it's not just salty, but like he's being a crybaby about it. Like, enjoy the game. Okay, great, then leave. Like if you, you're looking at Philip Rivers, who is older than me and he's out there playing and he's got 18 year old kids in high school football rooting him on and he's given speeches like, he's up at a pulpit.
Joey P
Well, they said you got this. Somebody sacked him yesterday that was like younger than his oldest kid or something like that. Did you hear that one? Like that was a funny.
Welsh
Yeah, yeah, 100%.
Joey P
You got all that yesterday. The age stats were so amazing till here.
Welsh
But I'm also say it sounds like, I'm sorry, but you're coming off of like pulpit. Philip Rivers, who came out of retirement after not playing for five years and doing this. And then you got this crybaby who's just like, yeah, if the game's not fun, I'm not. Okay, then go be a model or go be a streamer. Do whatever you're gonna do. If you're gonna do this, like, if.
Joey P
This doesn't work out, I'm gonna go be a model. Like I already said, no way the.
Welsh
Bengals are gonna give him up. Unless, I mean, I guess you could just pull up Brandon Iuk and just stop showing up and no one knows who you are and you could do that type of thing. But I don't Think he is this. He's way too young into this. Bengals will franchise him till the. The. Say the sun comes home. What's the. Till the cows come.
Joey P
Not sun comes out.
Welsh
Perfect. Welsh is whatever comes home.
Joey P
Or the cows come up. One of the two.
Welsh
I think this is like super awesome. Like espn. Like, you know, two guys and a host. Like, what do you think? Where could he go? And we put it all up. He'll never leave Cincinnati unless he's retired. I don't think the Bengals would let him go.
Joey P
It's a tough one. Yeah.
Welsh
Why would. Why would the Bengals want some CL.
Scott Bogman
If he says, hey, look, trade me or I'm going to retire, they'll trade.
Joey P
Yeah, I think they let him retire. And you know what? Maybe spite, maybe that. That could be what Bengals might.
Scott Bogman
They might.
Joey P
Well, they're going to fire the head coach. That's going to happen this year.
Scott Bogman
It has to.
Joey P
By the way, this just came across. The Colts are sticking with Philip Rivers for Monday Night Football against San Francisco.
Scott Bogman
Boom.
Joey P
Is it just me too? Or did Philip Rivers look like. I don't know, like, I understand.
Scott Bogman
Did you guys see what Madden did to him, by the way?
Joey P
I did. I did, but the padding he was wearing, it looked like. You know when somebody dresses up for Halloween is like, I'm a football player and everything doesn't fit. Right. Right. You know what I mean? Like, it's like they're already combat and.
Scott Bogman
They'Re wearing it right. Because they're wearing a quarterback's number and they should be wearing.
Joey P
Exactly. But like they're wearing like 12 or 10 or something. And. And it's just like, it's very puffy. And I was like, why does he look like he got that alpha from Spirit Halloween? That's what it feels.
Welsh
It feels like one of those like, what is it, Chad Powers type of things. When you look at him, you know where they put like, you know, Carson Palmer, like 75 year old at high school.
Joey P
Yeah, yeah, I saw that roost.
Welsh
That's a perfect. That's a good analogy. That's a good analogy.
Scott Bogman
It seems like he bought it out of a spirit store and it just said retired. Retired quarterback that needs to get insurance for his 15 children.
Welsh
So, yeah, that's why he did that.
Scott Bogman
That seems like a. I was.
Joey P
You know what, I was so happy for him though, because when he, when he did bring that drive down, that kick, that field go, I was like, this is really cool. This is really nice. And then the Colts defense, who played so well all day immediately gives it up. And then I was like, this is not going to be good. They're going to send Phil Burrs out there. He's going to have to do something. And you know, that ball just drifted and it got picked off and it was, it was sad, but it was, it was cool to see that he was in it. It was just fun. Maybe because I'm old now and I like to see when old guys go out there and perform well. But it was, it was good. I liked it. My motion.
Scott Bogman
I are glad that he's in the NFL because we can finally say there's a man older than us in the NFL again.
Joey P
That's right. Aaron Rodgers finally can do.

So let me get this straight. Your company has data here, there and everywhere. But your AI can't use the data because it's here, there, and everywhere. Seems like something's missing. Every business has unique data. IBM helps your AI access your data wherever it lives. To change how you do business, let's create smarter business IBM.
Joey P
My moment of the week was the Kyle Van Noy interception too. And then he tossed it to Gilman and Gilman Ranford. That's another old man moment too where it's like, hey, look, I got this, but I'm not running down this field. You take this, son, and you go run it. That was hilarious. It was smart, it was quick. And the fact that he ran all the way for a touchdown was brilliant. Boggs, what was your moment of the week for week 15 before we close the book on it?
Scott Bogman
I like after all of the play by play that we did on Caleb Williams last week and then he just closed his eyes and throws up a 500 ball and DJ Moore just jumps on a step ladder to go get it. I thought that was pretty funny. After we like broke down this throw and why it was late and this is why they lost last week. And then he's just like 500 and DJ Moore goes up for the ball and gets it. I thought, I thought that was.
Joey P
And I think without Parsons this week, they get the packers again. I like the Bears.
Scott Bogman
I mean we saw Bo Knicks just throw four touchdowns against them because they weren't putting pressure on.
Joey P
Right. And that secondary is not good. And without the pressure just exposes it more.
Scott Bogman
Well, didn't mention that one.
Welsh
Your moment of the week we've got actually graphics for this. Mine came from internally where Derrick Brown said just when all thought ETN was going to be a locked in RB1 in a wonderful matchup. 3 Jaguar Touchdowns ETN 0. I replied to Debro. I replied to DBRO a few moments later. Travis ETM proceeded to have three touchdowns, all receiving. Had a monster freaking week. And it was my favorite thing that happened this whole week when DBRO was just absolutely screaming about Travis ET and not being involved a few moments later.
Joey P
That's very well done. Very well done. Axel's got a question for us here. Can we trust Drake London if he's back this week? No, I don't think you can. I think if you're desperate, you could try.
Welsh
Yeah, but if he's active. Absolutely.
Scott Bogman
But yeah, if he's active, I'm playing him.
Joey P
How many weeks does he miss now? Are we up to five?
Welsh
Yeah, but, but if he was not like good. They're not they're not going to bring him back to be like, we're going to keep him on a little snap count. They would only bring him back because, like, he's raring to go.
Scott Bogman
So if he's seemed like he was kind of close and they played on Thursday. Right. So, like that. That's 10 days extra rest. I think that's why you do it. So also, I. I mean, I think there's a chance that he. There's probably less than a 50 chance that he plays, so.
Joey P
Right.
Scott Bogman
But if he's back, I would. I would be. Okay.
Joey P
Rolling factor fiction time, everybody. Drop them all in there. We got a bunch. Let's start with these, but again, we'll take some more of them. Fact or fiction? Parkinson is a great streaming option if the Rams receivers are banged up. Well, Vonte Adams ain't playing Thursday. It's a matchup against Seattle. I think Parkinson said. Is he a couple touchdowns. I think he's a streamer this week. I'd say fact. Boggs, what do you say?
Scott Bogman
Same. Yeah, I'm going to say fact on this, that this has been the pivot point when these guys have been down as Parkinson gets the ball.
Joey P
Welch, three for three.
Welsh
Yeah, but, like, are they saying, like, who would you rather start, Loveland or Parkinson?
Joey P
It's close. I think what happens is without devonte Adams, who was leading the league and receiving touchdowns, your red zone offense is going to work a lot differently. And I think they showed us their hand a little bit, that it's going to go through the tight end a little bit more. So.
Welsh
No, I completely agree.
Joey P
I think. I think.
Scott Bogman
I mean, I think they're in the same bucket.
Joey P
I think Parkinson, Tyler Warren is the more interesting conversation, to be honest with you.
Scott Bogman
Might not even be interesting. I think it's hard to be Parkinson.
Joey P
Because I think we can.
Welsh
We can blanketly say, like, Parkinson's a streaming option, but then when you start to put it against those tight ends, it's like, you know, Mark Andrews or him, like, we're done with.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, it's a. It's good to at least go through the process to see where he's ranked. But I do, I do agree in general that he is a good pivot.
Welsh
Yeah.
Joey P
Fact or fiction. Can I pick up. I can pick up Troy Franklin for this.
Scott Bogman
Fiction.
Joey P
Fiction. Okay.
Scott Bogman
There's no Pat Bryant this week. Right. Because he was banged up with the hamstring injury. Pat Bryant is back. I question what the snap count is going to look like. Probably more in favor of Troy Franklin. This week because it is a hammy and those tend to last. But I would say only if Pat Brian is for sure going to be out, is he a safe start. Like, you can pick him up and stick him on your bench just to see if Pat Brian's going to be there. But I am not starting him with any confidence.
Joey P
Good point. Welsh, what are your thoughts? Fact or fiction?
Welsh
Yeah, I think this is. I just don't trust Troy Franklin. Like, if you're in a spot, if you're in like a really tough spot and you're trying to decide if you're like Parkinson or Franklin and you don't want to do the time. Michael Parkinson, honestly, honest with you, but like, I think Troy Franklin is an untrustworthy guy that has upside. So that falls into a territory where I'll just blanketly say this is fiction. But I could see where if you're like, guys, I got to start. You know him or Calvin Austin and you're like, well, yeah, clearly Troy Franklin or, you know, or well, him or Xavier Worthy might be an interesting one.
Joey P
As well because Minchu here's one awesome Dev factor Fiction. She's bringing Kyler Murray for one season. I say fiction because I think somebody's looking at Kyler Murray as a more long term situation. So. And the salary cap won't allow that to happen. But I do think you will see Kyler Murray somewhere else next year. There's going to be a handful of teams that are going to be lining up. Colts might be one of them. The Steelers might be one of them.
Welsh
Jones. How about Mac Jones get a big one year?
Joey P
We talked about how many times, right?
Scott Bogman
It's not bad.
Joey P
Mac Jones, Jamis Winston, Kyler Murray. Like there's gonna be a lot of guys that you're gonna see retreading Aaron Rodgers. God, but that's definitely a fiction there. I don't think anybody thinks he's gonna end up there. Oh my God. Aaron Rodgers again. Factor fiction. Brighton Strange performance at week 14 was a fluke and it'll be fine moving forward. Welsh.
Welsh
No, I don't. I think that's fiction, I guess because like even in those games where, you know, he was active, he wasn't getting big target shares. Trevor Lawrence was able to find Brian Thomas again, which is great. But they got a tough matchup against the Broncos this week. I'm not sure how that's going to look, but they've got, you know, multiple receiving up. Brendan Strange is fine, but you have.
Scott Bogman
To worry about Travis Etn, the receiving threat Clearly.
Welsh
Clearly. A few catches later, I would say Strand Strange to me.
Announcer
Okay.
Welsh
Would you guys rather have Britain Strange or Parkinson?
Joey P
Parkinson, yeah.
Welsh
Okay. So yeah, it's. It's a fiction that was. It's not a fluke.
Joey P
Yeah. I always want the guy.
Scott Bogman
It's a woozy.
Joey P
Yeah. Oh, here's an interesting one too from rz. Fact or fiction? Brissette is a better QB plan than Burrow rest of season. Now. I don't know how you argue again. Look, Brissette, this was like the fork in the road moment for Brissette and I had no choice in a super flex, it was him or Herbert in that second QB spot. And for me I was like, I'm just gonna go start the guys at QB1 every week and if it fails against the Texans, it fails. He went into Houston and still put up a QB1 performance. They lost, but he was. I mean, it's an incredible what this guy's been able to do. There's no way Jacobe Brissette can't be at least looked at as a starter somewhere after this season.
Scott Bogman
Here we go.
Welsh
Well, yeah, the season thing for sure, 100%. But the question of like in fantasy for this week, Joe Burrow has got the Dolphins and Falcons.
Joey P
I would. I'm still playing. I'm playing Brissette.
Scott Bogman
Same.
Joey P
Because God forbid Joe Burrows and his feelings again in the humidity in Miami.
Scott Bogman
And all of a sudden it should be Burrow. Yeah, you know, it is probably still going to be. But yeah, they're at least a coin flip right now. So, you know, take that with a grain of salt, I guess.
Joey P
Would you drop rice for Mike Evans from Shannon, by the way, this is a good question here. No, I would. I would want my man.
Scott Bogman
Why can't. Why couldn't you drop anybody else?
Joey P
Well, that's like I wouldn't do it but like there's got to be somebody else. Rush your rice can't be the lowest person on your roster.
Welsh
Right?
Scott Bogman
That's how I feel.
Joey P
So make sure that's the place. All right. Continue to drop in any questions you have here. Let's do a little a little business first here. And let's remind everybody you want to keep the conversation going, you can go to our Discord. That's a fun place to hang out with us all here. Oh, look, it is the discord fantasybros.com chat. It's free. It's fun. We'll be going all year round talking football. There's baseball in that channel too, as well. For all you baseball lunatics that's starting up pretty soon here. Of course, go get your fantasy baseball black book that's out there on Amazon contributor, the Welsh and of course me, Joey P. So Discord is a great opportunity to meet other fans, talk fantasy, get some dynasty leagues going, NFL draft, everything here. Or help just with the rest of the playoffs again. Download the Discord app and go to fantasybros.com chat today. Let's take a look, everybody, at the standings for the 311 contest. Bog's still at the top of 14. I'm trailing my 13. Welsh trailing behind me at 8.
Welsh
Doing my best Justin Jefferson impression.
Joey P
Well, Welsh got. We all got one last week, so unfortunately not enough. I got Puka, you got Derrick Henry, and Bog's got jsn, so. And Boggs, yours was Joe Burrow. And I'll tell you what, Dak for you, would he miss it by four yards? Right, Welsh? Four yards, six yards, 294 yards.
Welsh
Pretty cool.
Joey P
That sucks. All right, Welsh, why don't you tell us who your 311 is for week 16.
Welsh
Yeah, Hail Mary's here. At this point, I. I'm almost. I guess I'm not statistically eliminated, but like I'm eliminated out of this, but I'm gonna go with Brock Purdy versus the Colts, big shootout versus Philip Rivers and him. This is actually probably as bad of an option as I can pick. The more they think about it where Philip Rivers and they're going to throw up.
Scott Bogman
I don't think they're any good QB options.
Welsh
I think that's the lowest, I think the lowest percentage of what we've hit.
Joey P
Brock Purdy had the wholesome moment of the week too, where he was when he was running and running out of the balance and he held the ball out like he was dogging him. And then he went back. He's like, I'm sorry, I don't know why I did that.
Scott Bogman
He said it. He said it.
Welsh
He said it in the press conference too. He's like, I don't know why. Yeah, he was friendly with Cody Barton. He was just like, I don't know why I did that. He's like, I thought it was pretty.
Scott Bogman
Did you see George KD describing his run style? He's like, we just need him out there running bowlegged with no football protection at all. And then sticking the ball in the defender's face like, look, just do whatever you want. Just don't.
Joey P
I like that though. I like the quarterback. I mean, you know, he's got a Little bit of that. Like you want that. You want a little swag. He's having some fun. But then the fact that he kind of immediately was like, I don't. I'm. It was like a Chris Farley bit. I don't know what I'm talking. I'm an idiot. I'm sorry.
Welsh
I've never related with a NFL player more than that. Than have like doing something that's out of body and then immediately regretting it. You're like, oh, it is a very.
Joey P
Welsh thing to do.
Welsh
Yeah, I very much appreciated that. So I'm. I'm gonna assume maybe Jonathan Taylor keeps them in this. Brock Purdy's gonna sling the ball a whole bunch. Also, you know, Christian McCaffrey with the back injury, maybe they lay off him a tiny bit in that one. Just pipe dream. Devon Hn I'm gonna take against the Cincinnati Bengals. I believe they're giving up on average the most rushing yards or they're in the top three per game. And then Nicole Collins versus the Raiders. They're going to keep scoring points. They sling the ball to Nico. So Nico Hn and Purdy guaranteed I'll get probably none.
Joey P
Okay, Bogs, 300 yard pass or 100 rusher, 100 receiver, who do you got?
Scott Bogman
I'm going to go with Tua. I'm going to take the. The strategy that Welsh has for the rusher. I mean, just the Bengals look like they have completely given up. So let's go with Tua against Cincinnati at home. Let's go with Bijan against the Arizona Cardinals defense that is very, very hurt and also looks like they have given up as well. Plus he has extra rest because he played on Thursday. And we'll go back to Jamar Chase. I'll pair him, I guess with sad Joe Burrow, but sad Joe Burrow did give him 18 targets this week or whatever it was. So yeah, lots of targets for Chase. Lots of opportunities against the Dolphins.
Welsh
This might be Joe Burrow's new character. He might be Sting. He might just be like. It'll be during the game, it'll be pre game warmups and it'll be Joe Burrow in the rafters just looking.
Joey P
Oh, he's actually. He's like the real life emo Joe. I realize that that character that I do on the FB channel, emo emojo.
Scott Bogman
Same.
Joey P
All right, 300 yard passer. Of course. I'm going Dak Prescott. Why? Because Welsh just missed him last week, which means he's absolutely going to hit this week. I Mean, this was. This is easy money. How did I not get this? James Cook against the Cleveland Browns. Yes, please. They care about the sacks, but I don't know if they care about stopping James Cook. They made Tony Pollard look good a couple weeks ago, for God's sake. Then Michael Wilson. Can't be stopped. Won't be stopped. Can't see Atlanta Falcon. I don't care. You can take your Marvin Harrison.
Scott Bogman
Don't say can't stop. Won't stop.
Welsh
I almost picked this one. I pick this. And then I saw you had it, and I was like, okay, let's go.
Joey P
Michael Wilson all day long. I got one more fact in fiction before I got one fun thing to close out the show factor. Fiction. Travis Kelce retires this off season. Fact. Welsh fact for me, too.
Welsh
Yeah. Everyone's like, like, oh, my gosh. You see how he tapped the wall and he just, like, yeah, he's just done. Like, the dude's checked out. I think he wants to play a full season with Gardner muu.
Joey P
Yeah, you don't get the look. There's worse people to go out with. Garden. Garden. Mitchu is, you know, gonna get out there, and he's the best thing the Chiefs could have right now because he doesn't care. He's like, come on, guys, let's go. We're gonna put my headband on, and we're gonna go play football. And maybe they just kind of need that. Go have fun the last couple games and nothing matters and just go play and enjoy yourself. Enjoy yourself. Go out there, play. Kelsey looks like he's.
Welsh
Kelsey looks like he's lost a step. Like, this might be the. Yeah, yeah. But this seems like the most dramatic feel of a season that's lost a step. Like, obviously, it's been, like, progressing. But you take that on top of losing your quarterback, missing the playoff. Now, there is a slight thing to argue here. He may not want to go out like that. He may not want to go out on a whimper knowing that.
Joey P
Go somewhere else to try to win one more somewhere.
Welsh
No, no. I think, like, I don't think. I think there's 0.0% chance he would go somewhere else to play. But I'm saying, like, he might not want to go out like that and want to give it one more shot to return to some point. I mean, I agree.
Joey P
I think getting married in June, they're probably gonna have, like, that's it. It's over. And a great. What a great career. Multiple Super Bowl.
Scott Bogman
I think if he comes back, it would Be he retires this off season. The Chiefs start out like six, like.
Joey P
Gronk did, where he just came back. Yeah.
Welsh
Yeah.
Scott Bogman
And then he comes back.
Welsh
That makes middle of the year.
Scott Bogman
I definitely. He's not going through training camp again. He's not going through.
Welsh
You guys think Gronka play right now?
Joey P
What's that?
Welsh
No, you think Gronka.
Joey P
I think he could play a game. I do.
Scott Bogman
I think he's been too far out for too long. What's the old quarterback?
Welsh
What's the oldest non teleporter.
Joey P
He's got so much.
Welsh
The oldest player you think could come back right now and out of retirement.
Joey P
Tom Brady. You can joke about all you want and say, you know, I see the red, white and blue glasses looking through. Nope. Tom Brady could play right now.
Scott Bogman
How much better would he be than Kenny Pickens?
Joey P
How much better would he be than a third of the league right now?
Scott Bogman
Yeah, way better.
Joey P
Way better.
Welsh
Oh, should the Chiefs call Tom Brady right now and get him out for.
Joey P
No, he can't.
Welsh
They're eliminated for the playoffs. Yeah.
Joey P
He's got ownership stake. He'd have to give that up in order to play again.
Welsh
He's not play for the Raiders.
Joey P
I don't think you can. Can you own the team and play for them?
Scott Bogman
I don't see why not. It's Tom Brady might be against some rule.
Joey P
So the last time the New York jets were in the playoffs the year was 2010. I saw somebody put a AFC championship. That's right. But the last time they were in the playoffs. It's a very long time ago. So I want to go back and I wanted to see what was going on in 2010. And there were a lot of. Just kind of put you in a place in context. Here were some of the popular songs that were going on. Hey Soul sister by Train. Love the way you lie by Rihanna. Bad romance by Lady Gaga came out popular movies that year. The blind side. Hurt Locker was best picture. The Blind aside. That's. That was out in theaters the last time that the New York.
Welsh
I never saw that. I never watched it.
Scott Bogman
It's same.
Welsh
It's.
Joey P
It's good. I mean it's not true, but it's a nice fairy tale story.
Scott Bogman
It's not gonna watch a show about a raven.
Joey P
I can understand that. That certainly Sandra Bullock's also like. Well, I like Sandy B. Here's. Here's the cost of things too. A dozen eggs cost $2.10. Postage stamp was 44 cents. A gallon of gasoline was 273, Instagram just launched and the iPhone 4 just came out. Also door dash grubhub. These things did not exist in.
Scott Bogman
Maybe it's just because I'm old. This does not seem like it was that long.
Welsh
I gotta be honest with you. I'm thinking the same thing. Like we. Like if you were doing like there was no MP3 15 years ago. Like that, it's like, yeah, you know.
Scott Bogman
It'S a long time. It just does not feel.
Welsh
All those artists are still around. The only thing that's awful is none of us have money anymore.
Scott Bogman
Like that's cheaper for me.
Joey P
The NBA champion was by the way too. Just saying, rest in peace. Yeah, the suit and San Francisco Giants were winning the World Series.
Welsh
You needed to do this bit with like, you know, it was like 98.
Joey P
Or something like 15 years ago.
Welsh
Like we were worried about the plane, you know, the, the Y2K and the, the. All the technology like you needed to sell us on that. Not like Instagram wasn't around anymore.
Joey P
It's like, okay, well again, too much parity, too much parody. There you go. Well, there you have it. Everybody who makes the the playoffs next. The jets are Giants, by the way. Which team gets there quicker?
Scott Bogman
Giants. 100% giants.
Welsh
I mean, Giants, they got a path. They got big players.
Joey P
Yeah.
Scott Bogman
They have a quarterback. They have Malik neighbors. They have a good defensive line.
Welsh
Let me ask you a question.
Joey P
What Seth producers said I was in college and Seth or Seth has a kid now. He's an old fart. He goes to bed at nine o'. Clock. Yeah.
Welsh
What player is on this team in two years? Is there a player on that jets team that you're just so assured will be on this team in two years?
Joey P
No, because that'll probably be another HUD coaching firing and turnover.
Welsh
Yeah. So you got Malik, the Giants.
Joey P
You got Malik Chapper for the Jets. Maybe he stays.
Scott Bogman
Yeah, yeah, that's. That's about it.
Joey P
I don't know. Somebody else.
Welsh
Not Adni Mitchell, who did have a touch.
Joey P
Look, I gotta say, Cook played better than I thought he would. I'll be 100. I'll keep it real for a quarter.
Welsh
He did for a quarter.
