With me, of course, my two best friends, Scott Bogman and the Welsh. And we're here. Week 17's championship week and it's the holidays, so happy holidays to everybody out there. Merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year's, everything. We want you to have the best of all of it. And of course we, we've got the best and the worst of the NFL from last week and looking ahead to championship week, some debates we're going to have here on the program. First and foremost, a little bit of business at the top. I want to shout out the Fantasy Pros Content League champion. He defeated me soundly in the finals. He is Scott Bogman. Mr. Puka Nakua himself. Congratulations, Boggs. Well earned, my friend. How's it feel to be the champ of the content team?
C
It feels great. By the way, back to back champions. Aren't we doing money for this year? Don't you guys need to send me cash at Bogdano? Venmo boys. So.
A
Well, she got any kind of cash? Yeah, I don't know about that.
D
I think they said just hit up the president of Fantasy Pros. Just message them and just say that they're owed money. That'll, that'll work.
A
Well, yeah, that's probably a good idea. So obviously, you know, that sounds like.
C
A couple guys lost. I think you'd be more into this if y' all won, so I, I.
A
Can assure you I'd be more into it if I won. But I'm, I'm excited. I'm still got three finals left to play in, one of which is Flex League, our expert league championship that we're all in. I'm very excited about that one and hopefully, knock on wood, have a good path there to that. Welsh, any championships for you this week that you're looking forward to?
D
Bogman and I, Well Bagman's not 100% assured, but assured will be playing in the championship in our home league. I've got a shot tonight. It's going to be really, really close and it actually would be going up against, against the CEO, the creator of Fantasy Pros and I really got to get that win if I were to win. But me and Carrie in Fantasy Pros, in the insiders league, we do. I am 87.1, she's 87.3 and I have Niners defense and she has Michael Pittman. So not looking good.
C
Looks like super great for me to.
D
Go to the championship.
C
You need the donut for Michael Pittman. You need Phillip Rivers to look his way at all.
D
I need a little pick six action or something like that. So not looking super great. But I do have one confirmed championship run for sure. I've got two others that are coming down to the wire tonight. Another one actually is down to George Kittle.
A
So there you go.
D
We'll see.
A
Yeah, I got CBS Experts League left. I got the Flex Expert League championship and Dynasty, my first ever Dynasty final. So very excited about that.
C
I have an outside shot to win the out of bounds to advance to the championship. And out of bounds I'm playing Bro Pro Winfrey and he's got me by almost nine points right now. But I have JT and he has Pittman. So I need okay Taylor to outscore Welsh and I are both rooting against Pittman pretty hard tonight. So.
A
All right. Well the one thing is on everybody's list this time of year is a fantasy championship. But I thought it would be fun boys before we started to recap the week that was and take some questions from the audience and of course the fact or fictions, drop them in the chat. We love having you here. We're here on our Twitch Twitch TV fantasy pros and on our YouTube channel. Subscribe there and subscribe to the Twitch and remember when you subscribe to the Twitch we got a giveaway. Let's see what we have. Oh, it's the toilet. The turlet has returned from trophy smack. The number Fantasy football hardware. No, I, I, I think, I think.
C
I have one last place in the out of bounds league and I started.
A
Off pretty good and then I just completely, completely done.
D
I actually think that might need to be sent to me for the content league where I started out 20 and I don't know if I won another week.
A
The rest of this year was a lot of but I mean that's kind of the story of the Year and again. Remember when you go and subscribe to the Twitch, you get one and a half times odds boost. We want you to get the little golden toilet award there for the loser in your league. But that's been the theme of this season. But I thought we'd start on a light note and take a look at a Christmas list of one of the our favorite athletes here on the show. Cam Scaboo. So let's take a look at this. His Christmas wish list is some really good stuff. Punching bag, bubble wrap. Cheit. Everybody likes the. The. The chili queso ones. A 2009 John Morrison action figure. A £50 tub of whey protein. Pokemon for the DS. Pokemon Platinum specifically. There's some Nerf guns on here. He wants the McRib to come back bubble wrap a second time on there. A normal size crowbar. Because I guess he has a small or a large. So he just wants a regular size one. A lava lamp. A Victor Cruz sign. Jersey. That's a good one. Everyone needs a good air fryer. What else is on here? Gatorade. Glacier freeze Welsh. Are you a glacier freeze guy? What's your. What's your Gatorade of choice?
D
No, I'm a. I'm a strong Lemon lime yellow. That's the only appropriate one. Red is for children with the teeth. Blue is too sugary. It is lemon lime. That's the only one. What is this that we're looking at?
A
This is Cam Scatterboo's Christmas list.
D
And why are we looking at Cam Scatterboo's Christmas list?
A
Because it's fun. Does this one just say Grinch? Yeah. Well, one says Kill Neil. Yeah. And then bubble wrap on there again. He definitely wants bubble wrap. Magic eight ball. Brian Dable rehired. And a puppy. Those are the final things on Camp Scatter Booze. It's a good list. It's a good list overall.
D
Is he all right? Is this real?
A
I think he's in his feelings because he wants to be playing football.
D
But it's actually similar to my handwriting. By the way.
C
It's way better than mine.
D
Over. Over 20. Like I thought I wrote this for a little bit. I will tell you actually put that back up here. If you could take three things from this list. I gotta be honest with you. Cheez it. Fiesta, Chili queso. Kind of sounds amazing. I'd also probably take Shaq and then a pet platypus. Those would be.
A
I'm going to take all three bubble wraps. Like that's what I want. Just full Round of bubble wraps.
D
I'm moving soon, so you could help me out.
A
We can use them. Bubbles. Boggs, how about you? What's. What's off this list that you might want?
C
Oh, I think I need the metal slinky. I'm glad that he specified, because that plastic stuff is a bunch of nonsense.
D
Well, you know what? What a sham plastic Slinkies are, by the way. Absolute sham.
A
They're terrible. They constantly get destroyed.
C
You know what? You know what a plastic slinky is? It's cauliflower pizza. That's what it is. Like.
D
Every arcade has it, and my kids will get it. And I'm like, we're throwing that away in two minutes. And sure enough. Okay, so you're doing.
C
Let me. Yeah, I. Some things are weirding me out here. Why does he need a pencil sharpener? There's no way. He's like. This is in pen.
A
You get to color pencils. You can do some artwork.
D
Yeah, he didn't put coloring books on here.
C
But clearly you're right, you know, and I apologize for my mistake.
A
Adult coloring books are very, very popular nowadays.
C
True.
A
Big stress reliever. Especially when they fire your head coach.
C
I think I'll take Shaq, the air fryer and bubble wrap. That's what I'm going to.
D
I already took Shaq, but that's okay.
C
I'll do the slinky air fryer, and I want one bubble wrap, please, so.
A
All right, I'll trade you. I'll give up a bubble wrap, and I'll take the 2009 John Morrison action figure from WWE.
C
You see? Said I don't see a new ankle on there.
A
No, new ankle is not on there. So what do you want off of the Cam's Cataboo holiday list? Holiday wish list right there on Amazon. You can find. All right. Obviously a lot to talk about.
D
Was that real, by the way?
A
Sure. Oh, okay.
C
Yeah.
D
Okay. Like, I was falling for it. Like.
A
Well, the funniest part is that it's. It could be real.
D
It's real enough. Like, he wants to be like. Like, cool, cool, super hip guy. Like, hey, I'm a streamer and stuff like that. So I could see him having fun. Like, I legitimately would have, like, bought that part of.
A
I will not confirm nor deny the validity of that list. And for those of you going in the YouTube comments right now, why are they just. Why just talk about football? This is what this show is, okay?
C
Technically, this show Cam Scaboo.
A
And it's Cam Scaboo. And we're having fun. It's the holidays.
C
By the way, do you guys go to the Santa hat store for T shirts here? Like, what is. You got. Are you guys both wearing T shirts with Santa hats on them? That's Jack Skellington and Cartman.
A
Okay, I've got Eric Cartman. More presents. That's my Eric Cartman 1.
D
We want. We want queso and metal Slinkies on our.
A
Under our tree are the worst thing ever. All right, let's talk about the giant elephant in the room that we going to have to. You know, because it's going to impact a lot of. In fact, I'm playing the team in the flex league final that has DK Metcalf on it. So the Steelers come away with a victory, but there's an incident before the game with DK Metcalf. Everybody's seen it by now, and apparently this. You know, I'm going to say human being lightly when this terms whatever vile things he was saying clearly warranted, you know, somebody to get upset. And he knew what he was doing. That being said, you know, the fact that, you know, these people are disgusting who say awful things to the players and it's been out of control for quite some time, but it's always been like this. It's been like, you know, when you go back to the 50s and you hear these stories about Jackie Robinson and the things going hard, horrible, awful, terrible things. The letters, the notes, the stuff that Henry Aaron had to put up, all the things, right? But at a certain point, too, you're at work and you can't go taking swings at guys. I'm going to be really surprised if DK Metcalf plays again this season or the playoffs. I think you have to send a message here to the rest of the players in the NFL and say, look, I don't care what it is. You can't take swings at fans. And he did. He took a swing in a fan he'd missed. If he had hit him, God knows what the uproar would have been. But I want to get your take on this box because obviously you're a Steeler fan. This impacts not just, you know, the playoff run there, too, but, you know, obviously a lot of fantasy teams. So what let's. We're speculating right now. We don't know when the suspension or when the discipline is going to come down or what it's going to be. But what do you think you would do, taking your Steeler fandom out of it? What would you do if you were.
C
Committed exactly what you said. I would suspend him for the rest of this season, the regular season. Like, you just can't do that stuff, right?
A
You mean regular season of the playoffs?
C
Yeah, regular season and the playoffs. Yes, I.
D
And the play you would.
C
The playoffs is going to be one game any. Anyway, so. Yeah, you know, but that is. I think that's what they're going to end up doing. Sometimes they don't do these into the playoffs as well, I feel like. But I don't know. I feel like some of the discipline has been soft. I mean, Rasheed Rice changed people's lives forever and got six games. So maybe this is one game. Maybe it's two games. Specifically with the history of this guy, it sounds like, from what we've heard, it could just be rumors. We're not really sure on this information yet, but it sounds like this guy harassed him in Seattle, followed him to Detroit, harass him again in Detroit. So it could just be a game and maybe it's an. You know, he appeals that. So depending on the situations, I could see it being lighter, but my initial instinct was that's probably the rest of the year and the playoffs for him. So that was kind of my thought as well.
A
Joe Welsh, what would you say?
D
I. I'm not with you guys at all. I don't like the whole, like, two games, plus more into the playoffs. I think this is going to be one game because there's a history. I think they'll let him appeal so he can play this week. And then they would play it out to week 18, the final of the regular season. I think this is maximum one game. Like when. When Bogman text me this because I didn't see it live. And he's like, DK's out here punching fans. And I was like, oh, snap. I'm like, is this like Ron Artest? Like, he's in the cross. And I look for the video and like the side video. Like, we obviously. I mean, we can't show either one. But there was like, the NFL video where it really looks like he punches a dude. But then you see the side video, which, by the way, the NFL is going to go full.
C
They pushed him. It.
D
No, it looks like he shoves them. It looks like he shoves him. So none of it's really great. They've got to, like, set some type of president precedent, and that's why they will do one game. There's no chance. I. I would say there's no chance more than one game because there is this big history. They're going to say, stop interacting, stop doing this stuff. They're going to. The PA is going to say, you know, you guys have suspended. You didn't do your job. There's going to be a battle. That's why I think this week they're going to be able to appeal any type of a suspension. But it just wasn't to the left. The, the, the talk around it, oh, he attacked a fan or whatever, and then what you see, I don't think so. I think this is maximum one game. It'll have zero impact on the actual playoffs. But, you know, weirder things have happened. They've made dumber decisions on, like, you know, oh, this guy. This guy should clearly get eight games. He gets two. This guy should get two. He gets eight games. So, like, you never know what's going to happen.
C
Yeah, the discipline, specifically on Adele seems really weird and random.
A
The Ron Artest situation from years ago came up to in my head immediately, which, you know, I know, different circumstances. You ran into the crowd, attacked a guy, you know, and, you know, that's. Again, you know, it's. It is what it is. And he ended up getting suspended for the entire year in the playoffs. And, you know, it was a huge thing at the time. And I remember watching that live when it happened, going, this is the craziest thing I've ever seen. And it happened a lot in the 70s and it got glossed over. It was a lot more common, you know, before we have all this, you know, digital media.
C
I mean, what did Charles Barkley say a couple years ago? He's like, I've been arrested three times for assaulting fans or something like that. It definitely used to happen way more.
A
And look, and, and, you know, one of the worst takes I saw was somebody being like, well, this is what happens when, you know, you, you know, this what happens when people don't respect other people. And, you know this, you shouldn't get suspended at all because, you know, you, you know, you f around, you find out and all these things and all this stuff. And like, that man's clearly never been in a fight. Anybody goes in. Like, I've been in lots of fights in my life, and I've won most of them. And I can tell you this right now. You don't fight at work. It's just something you don't do. And he's at work for whatever this is his professional life. Somebody drops a nasty comment on the YouTube, I can't go running to their house and punch them in the face. Even Though I might want to.
D
I would love to.
A
Right? You'd love to hear it, but I can't do that. And again, this is the professionalism that comes in now. He says it to him on the street after the game. Totally different thing. You're on the field. You're in that uniform. You're representing the NFL. And I think that's the. That's the crux of the situation here that they've got to figure out.
D
I would love to do a J and Silent Bob and be like, you know, is your name, you know, Turd? Six, nine, four, two, bam.
C
Just take it.
D
What is more, I would be the one that would definitely come to your house and do that. Maybe not.
C
Silent bugs. That's right.
D
That's right.
A
That we need a visual of. We gotta get. We gotta get that one. All right, let's talk.
D
Wait, no, no. Let me ask you the question. We kept distracting. What's more likely, three games or no games?
C
Three games.
A
Three.
D
More likely no games. Yeah, I think. I think more likely.
A
There's no way. Zero. I don't think it's any way a zero. Because they have to send a message to the other players. They can't. This president, especially with all these international games and other, like, they can't have.
C
I don't think DK is wrong for what he did at all.
A
I think he's wrong in the context of what he.
C
I don't. Because the guy had a DK Metcalf jersey. He walked over there probably to sign it for the guy, and then the guy started spouting off all this nasty stuff. Right? So, like, I don't. I don't blame DK at all. But I was going to get suspended. I. I do think that's going to happen.
A
You know, this is. This goes back.
C
You know, if I was. If. If I was the commission, it'd be a fine.
A
We'll see what happens to him. All right, let's talk about some other stuff here. Obviously, tremendous comeback last night for the New England Patriots. Drake May throwing a ball in the bucket there to Kyle Williams. That was an incredible throw. I got a big question, though, as. As much as I'm super excited about that victory, Welsh. What the hell were the Ravens doing getting away from running the football with Snoop Huntley playing quarterback? Why was Derrick Henry not carrying the ball every single time? What the hell happened in the fourth quarter?
D
Well, maybe the fumble. Maybe the fumble's in the back of their head. And I don't know.
A
There. There's Derek Henry He's a Hall of Famer. You give him the. Give him a second chance. I'm pretty sure. Yeah. Okay.
D
But, like, I think we could say this question to, like, everything in week.
A
What the hell is it?
D
16 Everything about this week. Like, what are we doing? What are we doing? But what were they doing the whole game? The Mark Andrews stuff at the end of the hat? Like, there were so many moments where you're like, what is going on? And I don't think they were. Maybe it was in a. Like, you know, we don't want to play it soft, we want to play it aggressive. Maybe they thought they had an advantage. I don't know. I don't know. But the good, the great teams find ways to win. And the teams that aren't meant for it, they find ways to lose. And the Ravens definitely have been doing this all season long.
A
Yeah, certainly have. Puka, Stafford, Stack led a lot of people. Bogs. That was a big story this week. Was that the Thursday Night Football game? Yeah, I understand. I hear you, bro. Well, you know, Puka killed me in our content league. You're welcome. That. That's. That happened to me. It was crime. On you. On me. So was that the best Thursday Night Football game we've ever seen?
C
Yeah. How could it. What beats that?
A
Right?
C
Right. Like, I don't know.
A
I'm trying to think of one and I can't off the top.
C
I'm sure there's other really good Thursday games that we're not thinking of right now, but in recent history, that has to be the best game. That was an insane. It had everything that you want. It had the weird call to get the two point conversion. It had overtime. The home team won. The team that everybody in the NFL thought that was the best in the NFL, the Rams lost. So, I mean, the game had everything you could possibly want. And then another great finish to the Bears and Packers game the next night as well. So in a weird finish in Detroit with Pittsburgh and the Lions. So lots of weird drama this weekend, but that has to be the best Thursday Night Football in recent history. At least I can't remember one. Maybe the Bears and the Cardinals, when the Bears came all the way back. That was really good. That was. And that brought us the Denny Green. The Bears are who we thought they were. I think that might have been a Monday night game, though. I know it was a prime time game, but it might have been Monday. I can't remember what.
A
You know what? It was a Monday night game.
D
Was it?
A
I think that was Pre Thursday even.
C
But yeah, I mean, there's been some, some good games on Thursdays and Mondays.
A
And stuff, but God, Mondays has been some classic.
C
Definitely the best game of the year, right?
A
What Thursday always feels like Tennessee, Jacksonville every week. Like somehow it always feels like Tennessee, Jacksonville every single Thursday. Like that's at least in recent memory. And you know, I could be wrong, but we could check how many times they play each other on Thursday night. It just feels like that sometimes. And, and to Bog's points, he hates Thursday night because, you know, the guys don't have the proper rest, the proper recovery, the proper preparation time, all that stuff. But, you know, I hate to be prisoner of the moment of this year and I think everybody who's playing fantasy and who got this far, it has been a war of attrition and a war of trying to not throw in the towel and just stay alive every week. This has been the most difficult fantasy season ever with the injuries we've got, because not just the injuries themselves to the players you lose, but the effect that those players have had on the other players you have. It's been stunningly difficult. I will, I would say Welsh, I don't think this is hyperbole. I know that's a big word. You can all look it up, everybody on the Google machine. I don't think it's hyperbole to say that if you win this year in 2025, sure there's luck, but chances are actually you did a hell of a job week to week managing lineups, managing waiver wire, making trades. Like, I think you should be proud of winning in 2025 than any year I've ever played. Fantasy.
D
Yeah, I would, I'd say that's probably along the, the right take. I mean, I think fantasy football this year has actually felt a lot more like fantasy baseball, you know, because something about fantasy baseball you have to do is you can't just like win your league in a draft. There's so much like there's streaming, there's pickups, there's learning when to drop. The season is so long, it's so dragged out that it really is like a battle to yourself sometimes with fantasy baseball, especially when you do the high stakes stuff. This year had a lot more of that in football because it was like you had to be more active on waivers. You had to hit, you had to know when to get out. Multiple guys, it was like unload the clip for waivers and then all of a sudden after, you know, a month, those guys were not relevant anymore. So it's like you had to be more diligent than ever. And then clearly just the massive amounts of injuries that have been hit and we all got hit in the playoffs, so for sure.
A
And speaking of injuries, too, I mean, you get Gardner Minchu tearing his acl. I mean, that's just like he didn't actually.
C
They just announced that he didn't tear his acl, but he is gonna, he's gonna miss the last two weeks because he still did, but no acl.
A
Well, let's go to your takeaway box because this kind of piggybacks this, this give. This takeaway from week six.
C
We need two bye weeks. They're going to add another regular season game within the next two years anyway, right? Just add an extra bye week. That it. What they're going to end up doing is one preseason game and then we're going to go. We're going to get an off week after that, and then that's going to be the start of the regular season. Every team is going to have two bye weeks. That is how it's going to go. So just do it now. Just give us two bye weeks. Now. For these teams, it's upsetting for fantasy. I understand that you have two bye weeks, but these guys need more rest. This cannot be a war of attrition. You want your star players playing all season long. Now look at, look at the Christmas schedule. Netflix paid so much money to get these games and now nobody's going to watch them because you get Josh Johnson as the quarterback. Right? The. The. I think.
A
And Ola Kundun. I believed him.
C
So. But yeah, I mean, we don't want to watch these guys play. We want to watch the stars play. And if you give them proper rest, there's more likelihood they're going to last longer. So I think we just have to go to two bye weeks pretty soon here, if not next year, the following year, at least.
A
Welsh, what's your takeaway from week 16 when we move ahead to 17?
D
My takeaway is it's kind of actually what we were talking about a little bit before. Like this week was the upside down more than anything in the last couple of weeks from what you talked about before. I mean, we didn't even mention this, but you're talking about managing injuries, losing Lamar, losing Travion Henderson. Just two guys you were banking on to the complete opposite of what most analysis would look at. I mean, I couldn't have been more wrong about Ash and Genti. I was the. The bench. Ashton Genti. It's the worst matchups be damned. Well, what happened this week? Genti 180 plus yards. Diggs had been inconsistent. Nothing goes absolutely off. Tony Pollard against the Chiefs. Oop. Gotta start him. It was like. It was. It was. Like I said, the upside down. It was opposite land.
C
Even the guys in Jefferson was pretty good. That's how upside down it was.
D
The. The guys that tell you the story. When you look at, you know, you're doing stats and you're doing the break and the matchups, the guys out of the story that look bad were good. And then the guys that you would just clearly count on. There were so many Lamar questions, and it's like, not, dude, you got to go out of Lamar. Not much you could do about it. They get hurt, they get knocked out. No Lamar, no Trayvon Henderson. It was pretty brutal. So, I mean, it's kind of an overarching takeaway, but it was just a. You said the season was so tough. I think week 16 was so. Parkinson, another great one. It's Mason just said in the chat. But week 16 was so tough. So tough.
A
Absolutely. And look, I think as we move on here, too, you know, next year is going to be fascinating to see what these teams are going to be reconstructed as. There's going to be a lot of team reconstructing. And my big takeaway is The Buccaneers can KMA. They are the biggest disappointment in the NFC. They are 1 in 6. Since they're by. They've been awful. And I don't know how. Look, you know, I understand that people make excuses for them. You know, you lost Bucky Irving, you lost Mike Evans. You didn't have Godwin. Baker's been banged up. He had a serious injury. He's been playing through a. He's a warrior. Okay, cool. Tristan Worst was out in the beginning of the year, and they were playing some pretty good football in the beginning of the season. They look pretty good. Baker, Mayfield, mvp. Chance I. I was leading that charge for the first five weeks of the season. And then to watch them fall apart, a team that has so much continuity, so much talent on it, you get all the talent back. You get Evans back, you get Bucky back. Everybody's healthy and playing. He can't beat the Carolina Panthers. To just route your division and just say, okay, enough is enough. We got to put our foot down and finally show up here. You lose to the Falcons in your own building, in your own place, and then you go and you lose to the Carolina Panthers. Unacceptable. Heads are going to roll here. I am not Happy about it. My moment of the week, and this is going to make our producer Seth very happy is the DJ Moore catch for the touchdown. It was incredible moment. Look, that game had a lot of imperfections in it. You got to give the Chicago Bears credit. They hang around, they fight, they make some plays at the end and they make it interesting. Some phenomenal moment there. DJ Moore catching that touchdown pass. Box. What was your moment of week 16 before we bury it and never speak of it again?
C
Well, I would love to keep speaking about week 16. I have the gain. Well catch here because I assumed we were going to talk about the end of the Steelers and Lions game in the free.
A
Yeah, sure, let's talk about it.
C
But we didn't. So that would be my moment of, you know, a Monroe St. Brown with the offensive pass interference and then the kind of butchered explanation from the referee to the people in Detroit as well.
A
Never should have said now it's a touchdown. Everybody like you don't lead with that.
C
Yeah, maybe the touchdown is waved off. Should have been his first because of the offensive pass interference.
A
So the ruling on a field is a touchdown. But like that wasn't the best.
C
I also loved everyone in Baltimore celebrating when Detroit looked like they had scored the game winning touchdown and then that being taken off the board. So yeah, just the end of the Steelers game, the Steelers game in general this week is my moment because there were a lot of crazy, weird stuff, things, stuff and things happening in there.
A
It was a great catch by Gainwell too. Welsh, your new house, by the way you're moving to is paid for, but it's burned to the ground. So just, you know, I don't want to get too excited. You know, that's basically what it was. That was basically the lead in for these fans, these poor Detroit Lions fans who have had so many problems. I mean maybe, just maybe if Dan Campbell kicked more field goals in the beginning of games that are going fourth down, maybe they wouldn't be in these situations at the end of games. But you know, whatever, it's fine. Welsh, what was your big moment of the week?
D
We had great catches this week. So mine's the third incredible catch, the Michael Wilson catch. If you saw that the second quarter, first quarter one where 30 yarder and it was one of those where it like it fell, it hit the guys and it just appeared in his hands. We had quite a, quite a few of those were just incredible catches this week and I thought that one was phenomenal.

Upon us again and I don't know about you, but there's one phrase I'm afraid of hearing above all else. It's not honey, the in laws are staying over. It's honey, I forgot the batteries because there's nothing worse than getting caught off guard on Christmas morning without batteries. And that's where Duracell comes in. A
All right, so everybody, if you want, drop your fact and fictions and we're going to do fact or fiction here in just A second. I'm going to start with one of my own here. I got a few actually lined up. I want to ask the guys, fact or fiction Bryce Young will now be the quarterback in 2026 just based solely off the win yesterday. Welsh, fact or fiction?
D
I mean, yes, the fact, but I said this, I think like 10 weeks ago when we had this discussion of was Bryce Young going to be replaced next year. Never thought it was going to happen. I think he's, he's been inconsistent. But this isn't like you completely bombed and failed and he has just gotten better as the season go goes on. So like the only way I would say fiction is it's because it's not about this game. But I know what you're getting at. Like, yes, like what he has done. He has proven he is the 2026 quarterback without question.
A
Well, you have that week 18, you know, second game against the two of them too, which is going to be like a default playoff game potentially there. Boggs, how about you factor fiction Bryce Young's the Carolina Panthers.
C
I mean, who are they going to replace him with? I, that would be my first question is there's not a lot of great quarterbacks coming out in the draft. There's some free agencies with a veteran you can maybe you sign like Malik, somebody like that if you want to push him. Right. Maybe something like that. But no, it's.
D
This would be a question if they weren't like a player.
A
Yeah, like this is that spot. Well, it's funny because Vegas still has the Buccaneers minus 170.
C
Well, they have a chance as long as they beat Carolina at the end of year. They still win, so.
A
Well, yeah, but it's. So there would be a tiebreaker on top of a tiebreaker. It was like the third tiebreaker. I was going through it.
C
Yeah, you should have just beat the Panthers this week. So, you know, didn't do it. Yeah, no, it's. He's definitely, he's definitely the quarterback. They're, they're a borderline playoff team right now. So he's definitely going to be the quarterback next year. Yes.
A
All right, here's one from Stink factor fiction. Even with the loss, Rams can win the Super Bowl 100%. Fact. Look, the Rams with Devonte Adams can get healthy again. It doesn't matter. You don't want to have to go on the road to win these games. That would be the best situation. But as long as the Rams don't have to go to a cold weather Philadelphia place for a final playoff game I think we're okay. So I'm going to say fact. The Rams are still, I think, the best overall team in the NFL. That's my opinion. Bogs. I don't know what yours is.
C
I mean, I think there's, you know, the NFC is wide open. I think the AFC is where it's like you have your four teams playing for the super bowl in the nfc. I feel like any team could go to the Super Bowl. So yes, the Rams can definitely still go to the super bowl and win it.
A
How about you?
D
Yeah, fact. Of course, one game doesn't change the trajectory. Puka stepped up. They've got a great offense. They've still got the defense. Like I'm.
C
I mean, they're a whistle blow away on that two point conversion from winning that game. So. Absolutely.
D
Yeah. And the NFC has been just. It's inconsistent right now anyways.
A
So fact or fiction? We see Lamar Jackson play again in 2026. Welsh.
D
FA. Fact.
C
He'll play last game at least. Yes.
D
Yeah. I mean, I'm not sure where's the status on this week because I don't think he's been.
A
He came out with a. Again, it was a bruise and my daughter was watching with me and she said, why is Lamar Jackson out? And I said, he's got a bruise. And she said. So that was what she said to me. I was like, wow, that was pretty baller. I was like. She's like, why? Many different levels and I got plenty bruises.
C
There's like. I was like, there's a hematoma, which is internal bleeding, right?
A
Yeah. I was like, I think it's more serious. But it was her delivery of. It was like a bruise. Why don't you get out there, you wuss? Like that was her mentality.
C
Put a band aid on it. Pansy. Let's get back out. Come on.
A
So. So as a fact, we see Lamar again for Welsh, how about you?
C
Yeah, I think he plays the last week of the season against the Steelers at least. Yes.
A
All right, here's a fun one. Fact or fiction? The Jaguars are better than we think. Welsh.
D
Yes, that's a fact. Because I don't think w. I think we all think they are not as good as they're playing and I could appreciate what the team look, I mean, Parker Washington stepped up huge, but yeah, I just. I think they're the worst 11 and win team in the. Like. I just don't buy it. I don't buy that they're even in the top three of the best regardless of the record and how they play, that's fine. I think the fact is the majority. Maybe Bogman's going to scream he feels differently. But I think the majority of people do not think the Jaguars are as good as they are playing.
C
I don't know if they. I don't think they can win the super bowl. Right. But. But I do think I picked them to win the division before the season started in. You picked the Colts and that was the right pick for the first eight weeks until Daniel Jones got hurt, that was probably the right pick. The Texans might be the best team in the division, but the offense is so disgusting. They almost lost to the Raiders. So yeah, I think the Jags are the best team in that division right now and I think they're the most complete team. They have the best run defense in the NFL. So they are a very good squad.
A
Here's another fun one here. Fact or fiction? The Bears get to the second round for metal James and metal. Like I'm giving them credit. I like the Bears are out there. Factor fiction. We think Bogs Bears get to round two.
C
Are they out of contention for the number one seed right now? Like they might, they might get there just by getting the number one seed. I'll say.
A
True. Well, you welsh back to fiction.
D
Yeah, I think this, this, this is a team that is better than. I think a lot of us think they're like the opposite of the job. I think they are better than a lot. I mean, maybe not.
C
I hope it's Bears, Jaguars in the Super Bowl.
A
That would be the best.
D
Oh, I do too. Yeah, let's let the NFL implode. Please let that happen. Worst case, that's like the Diamondbacks and Rangers a couple years ago in the world.
C
It happened, didn't it?
D
Couldn't be worse.
A
All right. Couldn't be worse because everybody lives as prisoner of the moment. And this is very funny because I had to travel a little bit. We had a Christmas event to attend yesterday. So when I got there, Person's house is a huge Steelers fan, my best friend. And we were waiting for the Steeler game to start. We were looking at some other stats because I had missed the end of the one o' clock games and we were looking at Jackson darts and all. Dart must have gotten hurt again. He threw for 33 yards and he said no, no, he just got sacked five times. They stopped throwing the football. So New York is kind of losing its crap right now about Jackson dart. Fact or fiction? The Giants, if they get the 1 pick, should take Fernando Mendoza and trade Jackson Dart, Scott Bogman. That is the big fiction we're talking about this morning.
C
Absolutely. If you are the Giants, you need so much more than this number one overall pick. You trade it to the. To the jets because they have 8 million picks. Right. You trade the number one overall to the Jets. You let the jets take Fernando Mendoza and ruin him and you take all the rest of the. The pieces that you need to surround Jackson Dart. Absolutely not. This is Giant. How impatient can you be? Right. You just fired your head coach. You've seen flashes from this guy. You're missing your two best offensive weapons as well. How impatient can you be on Jackson Dart? He's gonna have this terrible game and you just get rid of him. I don't think so. Pass. Wait.
A
Well, Minnesota hasn't given up a passing touchdown or more than one. I think in it sounds like.
C
I don't care if they have any. Yeah, it doesn't matter to me. Like yeah, he could have. He could have had that seven interception Ty Detmer game. He's your quarterback. Week one next year.
A
I. I agree.
C
Welsh.
A
You make it three for three. Fiction. Stupid. Right?
D
I think that's. This is the dumbest. Stupidest. Like radio Morning. These guys only played 14 games in the NFL. But is he.
A
New York Giants should go ahead and they should absolutely take the best guy on the board. I don't care about the guy from last year. I want the best guy. You could give you a franchise quarterback. You know. By the way, these two teams play each other this week. The Raiders and the Giants are playing each other on the schedule. Week 17. Hilarious. That of course, you know, for what the NFL does wrong for Christmas Day. They give us this gem right on the weekend where they say who's playing for the number one overall pick. And there's a part of me that so wants Fernando Mendoza to become a Raider because that is the most non raider personality I've ever seen in a football player in my entire life. Boggs. And I just want that to happen in my lifetime. I want to see it.
C
Yes. I these. I just. I still can't get over people thinking that they need to trade Jackson Dart and take Fernando Mendoza.
A
I know, but this is. This is the hot take sports radio that flies around locally. This is what people want to talk about. You know, by the way, I want to see the guys I said this on the other show. I want to see the guys in the black hole and the Raider nation who wear the shoulder pads with the spikes and the silver and a Black, you know, shave their heads and the whole face.
C
Those guys can't get in anymore.
A
Well, that's true, they can't. But I want to see them wearing cardigans and things like that for Fernando Mendoza. I want them to like, you know.
C
Maybe like, hey listen, I'll come sign all your stuff if you volunteer at a homeless shelter. That's what Fernando Mendoza. I will sign autographs at the shelter when we're done with our work. So there we go.
A
Here's a good factor fiction from Axel here. Start Drake May over Josh Allen.
C
Championship.
A
Well, you guys snuck that in. That was more of a. Starts it, but I don't care. It's championship week. It's the holidays. We'll do it. Drake May. This week gets the Jets. Welsh. Which way you want to go here? Josh Allen or Drake May?
C
You don't even say who the Bills are playing. It's just. Yeah, it's Drake May against the Jets.
D
That is Bills have the Eagles, but I mean, or me in multiple spots. Yeah, that's fine. But Drake May. Drake.
A
Drake May.
C
Yeah, it's Drake May.
A
Drake May. Well guys, I think the Wonder is too, you know.
C
Just ripped him up for 300 yards, didn't he? So yeah, I mean, let's go.
A
Yeah, drake made for 380 last night too. All right, here's another one from me. Justin Herbert should get more credit this year. Factor fiction. He's playing without an offensive line. Really, he is playing with a broken hand. He has had his theoretical best running back hurt for the majority of the season. He's had other guys hurt around him. He's out there still competing. I'm not saying he's mvp, but he should at least be in that conversation a little bit more than he is Welsh. Fact or fiction? Justin Herbert isn't getting enough credit for what he's done with the Chargers this year.
D
Yeah, probably. I mean I guess my argument would be like is, are people clamoring that he isn't like if, if that's the case?
A
Well, I just feel like if you're looking at the NBA nowhere to be found.
D
I don't really talk about him a lot but on top of the things you were saying as well, he also, they changed the offense and they became one of most pass heavy teams in the NFL when it was this run only approach and even with the broken hand stuff or whatever, like he just ripped off of good games. So yeah, I think he does deserve to be in kind of like a, a higher tier of thought if people Are, you know, completely kind of throwing him away? I'm not 100% sure how to like answer that, but I think it's probably like yes, like what he's doing with all of the things against the offensive change, the injury and being able to continue to perform how he is. Like he does deserve it.
A
Boggs.
C
I think the defense deserves a little more credit as well.
A
Okay.
C
You know, they've had some injuries on the defensive side as well and they have stepped up and just played great this season. So I just think, I think the Chargers as a whole are probably underrated a little bit because we don't take them seriously because they've had offensive line issues because they weren't like this number one contender coming in. But that's a dangerous team in the AFC for sure. They're very good.
A
All right, who Dredis wants to know, fact or fiction? May and Allen are better MVP candidates over Stafford.
D
Better. I don't know if the word if I would use better. I, I think Drake May has been in this discussion all year. I mean when Stafford did last week in a bad matchup puts him up there. I haven't looked at the odds recently.
A
It's still May at the top. I'll double check. What is this is it.
D
I double Stafford had been there because I would go May, then Stafford and then I think Allen is a notch below the those two bogs.
C
I mean way more better.
A
Stafford minus 195. Drake May plus 170. Josh Allen plus 2500. So it's still a two time race. Justin Herbert, 7 5.
C
They're all amazing. If you take them all off their team, their team gets way worse. But I just think that, I think.
A
If you take May off, the Patriots are far worse. Like I, I think I could, you could drop in some good quarterbacks and the Rams are still pretty good. I don't know if you could drop in a mid tier quarterback to the Patriots. I don't think he could.
C
I don't think he could. I think Matt, I think Matthew Stafford is the best passing quarterback in the league right now. And I don't think that's really a question. So he doesn't have the wheels that those other guys do. So he's not as dynamic. He doesn't do as much, but I think his passing is the best in the NFL.
A
All right, special one for you, Boggs. Factor fiction. Aaron Rodgers. He's coming back next year for the Steelers. Fact 2026 fact.
C
I, I think I'll say this. I Think if, if Tomlin stays and Hayward stays, I feel like a rod might stay so I think so too. I think he is probably going to stay. I would rather I'm not. Still not an Aaron Rodgers fan. Yeah, I like him more than I used to. Not a lot though. So I still would like to move on but I think he might stay.
A
Well, she want to take a swing at this one. Aaron Rodgers coming back in 2026 for.
D
The Steelers and say no, say fiction.
C
I think Welsh is right.
D
I think this is maybe the, the send off here.
A
Okay.
D
Like one more ayahuasca tent away and go go into the wild blue yonder. Like I, I just, I don't know. I don't think this. I think the Steelers are have to take a hard look and box. You can say differently about just like let's clean house. Like if Tomlin is really, it's not.
A
Happening and you know what?
D
Then maybe that's the case. But when, when the Steelers get knocked out of the first round, will they finally have the discussion to part ways with Tomlin? If you part ways with Tomlin, I think you need to part ways. Everybody, Rogers and everybody has got to go. I think there's a chance that Rogers could return. I mean look at all these old quarter. Matt Castle is on Twitter today talking about how the Chiefs should potentially like bring him in with all the injury.
C
That had to have been sarcasm. You think that was real?
D
No, I don't. I think that was really. He said like he's waiting for a call. I just think like there's a possibility that Rogers could still play. But I don't think Rogers returns. If they clean house. I don't know. My gut says like they gotta.
C
That's what I said too. Like I think if Tomlin stays, if Hayward stays, I think Aaron Rodgers has a chance to come back. I think I put it over 50% if those guys both come back. But if Hayward leaves and Tomlin decides.
A
You know, well, I don't think Tom was getting fired now.
C
I don't think Tomlin gets fired. But it could be a mutual. And, and, and by the way, whenever Tomlin leaves, it's going to be announced as a mutual decision. It will not be Mike Tomlin was fired.
A
Oh yeah. I think can you imagine being the Ravens this year? If I told everybody in the Ravens, hey, you're going to have a 40 something year old quarterback play for the Steelers. The Browns are going to be the Browns and Joe Burrow is going to miss most of the season and you can't win that division. What a. What a sorry state of affairs for the Baltimore Ravens in 2025. I mean, that is. Yeah. Seriously think of. Yeah, I mean, I know you hate to see it. Fact or fiction from Go Deacons. Go Panthers. Factor fiction. The Panthers when the NFC South Welsh. Fact. Let's go. Good. I'm gonna go fact too. Screw you Buccaneers. I have had it. Oh, I had it with the bucket.
D
Too hot right now.
C
Bucks when that.
A
That.
C
It's in Tampa. Last week of the season.
A
They were so good against the Falcons in Tampa.
C
Bucks win that one and they win the division.
A
All right, let's get to the 311 contest. He was winning that. Right now I got 100, 100 yard rusher James Cook, you know, the guy leading the league in rushing that nobody wanted to draft. This is gonna be regression. He's looking at how many. Well, he's got like what, 15 touchdowns and 1500 yards. I mean, what's he up to now? Jamar Chase got 100 for Scott Bogman. Welsh still has Purdy going tonight. So right now bogman with 15. I'm at 14, Welsh is at 8. So I think the ship has sailed for the 31 1.
D
Can I stop doing this? I'm mathematically eliminated. I think I am mathematically.
A
Officially. No, you gotta show up every week. I think we should reset for the playoffs. What do you think? Okay, I think we reset for the playoffs. We'll have a regular season champion and then we reset for the playoffs. I think that's a good idea.
D
Yeah, sounds great.
A
Okay, so let's talk about this week's that we have here. I'm gonna go with Drake May against the jets just as first 300 yard passing game. Let's do back to back. Let's go. So give me Drake May against the New York Jets. No secondary there is very good. Tyler Shuck can throw on you. I'm pretty sure Drake May can give me James Cook again two weeks in a row. This time against the Eagles. I know sounds crazy. I don't care. James Cook getting the football over and over again. That's how you win games. If you are the Buffalo Bills and then Pukinakua at Atlanta because. Well, he's Puku and he sees every single target bogman. Who are your 300 yard passer, 100 yard rusher and 100 yard receiver for week 17.
C
We just saw the Dolphins revive Joe Burrow. So let's go with them reviving Baker Mayfield this week. I think they are desperate for a win. Obviously, I think they are going to sling the rock a ton. Let's go with Chase Brown against the Cardinals. The offense looked really good this week and the Cardinals are extremely beat up and Chase Brown just got like everything this week. And then Chris Olave at Tennessee, he looked real good. Him and Tyler Schuck are really connecting the last couple of weeks. And Tennessee secondary still really, really bad. So I'll take Chris Olave here.
A
All right, Welsh, give us your three. One, one. Because you have to.
D
Yeah, I'm going to do this next week. I almost did this this week. What I almost did was I was gonna look and find the three worst guys for this and then pick them and just see if that's better odds. I kind of went in the middle next week.
C
Yep.
D
Yeah. Whoever that Chiefs guy is, let's go with him. All the worst. So I'm not quite there this week.
C
Ready, Mitchell?
D
I am going to go. Trevor Lawrence against the Colts. It's something you can do. You know, the division has been absolutely fascinating. There's no foot off the gas in that game. Trevor Lawrence, Ashton Genty, who just had a monster game going up against the Giants, who you can run all over. And then CD Lamb, because George Pickens had the big one last week, CD Lamb will have it against Washington, who you can throw against. And if I get none again, I mean, we might do a wheel. We might just do the straight up wheel for the final week. I'll put like, you know, four. Too good, too bad. And then we'll just wheel out the last surprise.
E
Justin.
C
Justin Jefferson in there.
A
Yeah. That would have been the way to go out. Well, maybe next week. Save for next week.
D
I had. I had a parlay and I. This was like, you know, two. When. If. If Justin Jefferson would have gone ballistic and then Boggs would have been like, I told you so. I had a parlay and, God, we almost hit it and we were. So I went. Pickens and Jefferson to both have 100 yards receiving, and it was some stupid number. And I. If Judge McCarthy had not got knocked out, I would. I would have got.
C
Hold on, because. Excuse me, can you say that last part again? If what happened.
D
He. Because he started throwing. He started throwing to Jefferson. First time we've ever seen it. So 85 yards.
A
Let's do a count right now. How many teams have had just one quarterback start every game this year? All right, you ready? So the Ravens haven't. Right. Bengals haven't. Browns certainly haven't. Steelers have not. Texans have not. The Colts have not. The Jaguars. That's a yes. Correct?
C
Yes.
A
Right.
D
Yeah.
A
So that's one. Titans. That's two. Right.
C
Every game.
A
Yep. Buffalo Bills. That's three. Dolphins is a no. Patriots is a yes. So that's four. The jets is a hard no. Broncos is a yes. So that's five. The Chiefs are a no. The Raiders are a no. The Chargers are a no.
C
No. Didn't. Didn't Trey Lance start one game?
D
No, he didn't start or just start?
A
Just start. Start.
D
Okay.
A
Charlie. He ended up playing. We thought he wasn't.
C
All right, that's six.
A
The Bears are seven. Lions are eight. It's not gonna be the packers this week. Right. We're no. Malik Willis is probably going to play because the concussion.
C
Eagles.
A
Vikings are a no. So we're up to eight. The Falcons are a no. The Panthers started Andy Dalton one week this year. The Saints have had multiple. Buccaneers. No. Right. So that's nine. Cowboys are 10. Giants are no. Eagles are 11. Commanders are a no. Cardinals are no. The Rams, yes. No. So that's 12. And then the 49ers have had multiple because Mac Jones started the season and then the Seahawks. So 13 of so half of NFL.
D
Teams have had the one singular starting quarterback this season.
A
More. Yeah.
C
Less than half.
D
Less than half.
A
Less than half. That is stunning. That is a stunning. Well, imagine you are this year. Good on you.
C
There aren't 32 caliber NFL quarterbacks in the NFL, right.
A
And well, we've seen 50 of them.
C
This year and we've seen like 50 start games this year. So the QB play really needs to improve.
A
We broke a record a couple of years ago. I remember because I wrote in the black book that we broke a record of most quarterbacks played in a season. The number was. It was hilarious. And I think it's gonna break this year.
C
More meme. My favorite meme is it says Gardner Minshew visiting Pat Mahomes in the hospital. It's Lieutenant Dan ice cream.
A

Date: December 23, 2025
Hosts: Joey P. (Joe Pisapia), Scott Bogman, The Welsh
The crew covers all the chaos, drama, and fantasy football implications coming out of Week 16 as managers head into Week 17 – the fantasy championship. With a blend of analysis and holiday banter, Joey P., Bogman, and Welsh break down injury news, hot-button NFL headlines (including the DK Metcalf fan incident), league takeaways, key memorable moments, and run a rapid-fire "Fact or Fiction" segment. Listener questions and bold waiver/trade advice round out an episode perfect for championship-bound managers.
Navigating the Most Chaotic Fantasy Season in Memory:
Injury-plagued, outcome-swerving, and demanding more managerial perseverance than ever, 2025 is characterized as the toughest fantasy football year yet.
NFL Week 16 Recap & Standout Moments:
Wild come-from-behinds, controversial calls, and the best Thursday Night Football game in years set the stage for must-watch Week 17 matchups.
Hot Button Issues:
Waiver, Trade, and Start/Sit Advice:
The latest injuries and performances mean it's time for gutsy waiver wire claims and bold start/sit decisions for championship week.
Injuries Are Everything:
“This has been the most difficult fantasy season ever with the injuries we’ve got … It has been a war of attrition and a war of trying to not throw in the towel and just stay alive every week.” – Joey P. (18:11)
Impact on Management:
Bogman’s Proposal:
“We need two bye weeks … You want your star players playing all season long.” (20:32–21:46)
The proliferation of injuries should force the NFL to add another bye week for more rest and a better product for both fantasy and real football fans.
What Happened:
Prior to a Steelers game, DK Metcalf had a heated altercation and took a swing at a harassing fan.
Reactions:
Strange Coaching Decisions:
“What the hell were the Ravens doing getting away from running the football with Snoop Huntley playing quarterback? Why was Derrick Henry not carrying the ball every single time?” – Joey P. (15:35)
Thursday Night Football Classic:
“Was that the best Thursday Night Football game we’ve ever seen?” (17:02)
Puka Nakua and Matthew Stafford’s Thursday night heroics are cited as potentially the best TNF in years.

On Fantasy League Wars:
“If you win this year in 2025 … chances are actually you did a hell of a job week to week managing lineups, managing waiver wire, making trades. … You should be proud of winning in 2025 than any year I’ve ever played fantasy.” – Joey P. (18:11–19:24)
Classic Thursday Night:
“That has to be the best [Thursday Night Football] game of the year, right? ... It had everything you could possibly want.” – Bogman (17:02–18:00)

Extended riff on Cam Scadaboo’s (fake?) Christmas wish list—bubble wrap, McRib, crowbar, air fryer, Gatorade—sets a jovial holiday tone. (04:30–07:54)
DK Metcalf Incident:
“You can’t take swings at fans. And he did. He took a swing in a fan. He’d missed. If he had hit him, God knows what the uproar would have been.” – Joey P. (09:00)
Weekly Moments:
“My moment of the week ... is the DJ Moore catch for the touchdown. … Phenomenal moment.” – Joey P. (24:44)
