It's a Monday, which means it's best ball day for myself and Andrew Ericsson here on the Fantasy Pros Channel. I'm Tom Strachan. Of course you know Andrew Ericsson. Today we are drafting in the FFPC$35 entry best ball contest with $100,000 up top. And Andrew, there's no time for sitting around because you've already made your first pick. You're sitting at the 105 in this draft. I'm at the 112. We'll get to all the comments, as many as we can. We're going to take a lot of questions and talk all about training camp today. But with the 105 in a Super Flex draft, I know where you're going as often as possible. Where did you go,

Tom? This is our third Super Flex draft that we drafted. One team that we drafted together, one team that we drafted head to head. And the constant theme with all those drafts has Drake May at 1, Drake May at 3. So picking here at the 105 spot, it only felt natural to. All right, let's get another Drake May team here built here. So at the 105 pick, an easy selection for me, Drake May, a quarterback that I believe could finish as the QB1 overall and potentially dethrone Josh Allen this year.

[Tom Strachan]

Yeah, well, it's going to take something special to dethrone Josh Allen. Obviously, the usual characters are in the mix in this draft, going quickly through ADP before it gets to me. We are using the Fantasy Pro's draft assistant. So if you've used FFPC before and this looks unfamiliar, that's why we believe it's a better way to draft and we'll talk more about that as we go. But Jameer Gibbs goes over 101 to my good friend Chris Cash, then Bijan Robinson. This isn't overly unusual. Like, we've seen plenty of the running backs going before the quarterbacks this year because in the second round you get quite a nice pod of quarterbacks who come back to that end. Then Josh Allen goes. Jamar Chase is the wide receiver one Drake made to Mr. Erickson Pukinakua, Jaden Daniels, Lamar Jackson, CMC and I've still got a couple of picks before me. Jaden Daniels going ahead of Lamar Jackson. I think that's the first time I've seen that this year. Andrew, have you seen it in many drafts?

[Andrew Ericsson]

No, I have not. But I do understand the thought process behind looking at Lamar versus Jane Daniels. Two mobile quarterbacks who's going to end up running more. I do think that that is really going to kind of take a big place in how things shake out. So I think Jane Daniels can achieve an elite ceiling this season. I do get concerned about the weaponry behind Terry McClure. Maybe they signed Stefan Diggs. That kind of changes that conversation. But I do think that Jane Daniels going at least in round one, one spot ahead of Lamar. I don't think it's like totally. I think it's they're in the same so if you were drafting a lot of different teams, I do think it makes sense to get a little bit more, try to balance your portfolio a little bit.

Yeah, I mean I'm a Ravens fan, unapologetic for it and I think the Lamar's in for a big season. So I've been It's not a move I would do, but here on the turn I'm going to scoop a little bit of ADP value on JSN who's fallen. His ADP is typically 903 in this format and he falls to me at the 12. So I'm going to take him there and then I'm going to take Brock Bowers who goes as high as the 10th spot. Typically sometimes you see him going higher. This is a tight end premium format. So for anyone unfamiliar with the FFPC contest, it is super flex. You have two flex spots. One is the super flex, but you can also play running back, wide receiver or tight end. The second flex is running back, wide receiver or tight end. You start two running backs, two wide receivers. So it does balance out a little bit more if you've been playing a lot of best ball on sites where you can start three wide receivers men and over in the flex it's not quite as important for wide receivers here and because of that you see some nice wide receiver values later on in the draft. This contest, first 14 weeks, it is the 12 team pod. Myself and Andrew going up against good people in this draft to try and be in the top two teams and advance through to the playoffs. Make it to week 15 but get eliminated, you'll make at least $100 or $125 draft entry for next year. The Finals it is an 84 person final with 100k up top 15k a second so it drops off pretty quickly. 7k a third, 4k to fourth and fifth so very top heavy. Andrew, we've done a bunch of these but I appreciate it's getting closer to the start of the season and not everyone has been as dialed in. So what is like your overall strategy for these big best ball tournaments? Is there one any particular ways that you like to approach things?

[Andrew Ericsson]

I don't think it's one thing in particular. I do think that letting some value fall to you when the opportunity strikes itself, if people are going after I want this breakout player, I want this breakout player and you start to see values kind of fall down the board. I think that's where you want to take advantage. So remaining a little bit grounded here with some of your picks and selections, you can't always have the all breakout team because a lot of times that also coincides with teams that all bus team these breakouts fail to fire. So that's something to always keep in mind. But yeah, staying up to date with the training camp news, I know that we already got some stuff again every quarterback seems like they're ready to go. Positive stuff about Daniel Jones, positive stuff about Patrick Mahomes. I'm interested to see where they go in this particular draft. Being that it is super flex. Do they go a little bit higher than we have seen throughout the off season where I think it's a little bit, a little bit more walking on eggshells. Kind of pessimistic about their outlooks especially as we got to get kickoffed here.

Yeah so after me it went Joe Burrow, Gunners QB5 Venom on RA St Brown Trey McBride, Ashton Genty, Amarian Hampton, CD Lamb Andrew is back on clock. Like I say, picking with Fantasy Pro's draft assistant. In this one it helps to see best available players based on whether you want to go with your rankings purely or whether you want to use Andrew's rankings, whether you want to use the consensus rankings updates in real time helps you adjust for roster needs, go pick by pick recommendations and it matters in best ball like getting that value as Andrew says, like if you're doing a bunch of these. I think this is maybe my 30th one or so about I did most I'm closing in between 50 drafts between the pre draft stuff and the post draft stuff. Second round pick, I went with James Cook because I already have one quarterback thing and just kind of an overarching strategy when it comes to Super Flex that I found doing these drafts with you. I think these are really helpful for actually getting prepped for some of the redraft Super Flex leaks because there's just not a lot of Super Flex contests. I think that this is one of my favorite ones to draft with you because I can see one of the comments from Kobe Dice here. Finally some Super Flex content. Let's go. Like, let's. Like, we would love to see that because I know that we have another mock draft coming up this week that's going to be Super Flex. So I'm thinking about this and every time I do a Super Flex draft and I decide I want to try to punt quarterback, I always hate my team. Yeah, every single time. So. So I get that like in theory, like you can make it work, especially if you're. You're so stacked at running back or receiver and it's a full PPR and there's a lot of flex spots and I get that. And there is a way where you can kind of thread the needle and you can get the right quarterbacks, but if you get boxed out of quarterback, you're so screwed. And it just really, really sucks because you do the team and you do the draft and you think, okay, if I can punt it this far down the road, but then you get that draft grade and the draft grade is not going to like your team very much. So I'm happy I have Drake May. I'm happy to punt one of the quarterback positions down the road here, like my Super Flex spot, because I know I have May as a guy who could be, I think is at least top five at floor, maybe the number one quarterback overall, but that's kind of my overing approach. I'm not Tom. I'm sure if you feel any differently, I just, I do these and I try to punt it and I always end up hating my team.

Well, I've punted quarterbacks, so I guess we'll see. I think it kind of this year There is a decent bit of depth at quarterback. Like we see guys like Jared Gough, Baker Mayfield going outside the top 12 quarterbacks and they're both guys who are really clear bounce back options. I think, you know, you look at Malik Willis, someone with loads of upside, like a lot of rushing potential, you look at Tyler Schuck who finished the season hot. So I don't mind pushing it a little further. That said, if I come away from this next turn without my QB one, I will start to get a little twitchy since my pick Brock Bowers to start the second round we went Joe Burrow, Amon Ra Saint Brown, Trey McBride, Ashton Genty, Omarion Hampton, Ceedee Lamb, James Cook, Saquon Barkley, Chase Brown, Justin Herbert, Jalen hurts goes as QB7. I still think that is a screaming value. Trevor Lawrence, Dak Prescott, Kenneth Walker, Caleb Williams and A.J. brown goes to Mr. Andrew Ericsson. We're going to come to some of the questions in the chat after we get past my next picks. But Andrew, you feel pretty good to have stacked up the Wide Receiver 2 in New England with Drake May Wide

Receiver 2 in New England Romeo Wide Receiver 1 AJB Wide Receiver 1 season it is funny though, again talking about values and I'm getting AJ Brown definitely at the premier price here, but I still want to lean to the stack. This team and basically every single team that I've drafted in the FFPC Super Flex contest is riding on the backbone of Drake May. Right? If Drake May hits in a big way and smashes, then we'll be cooking with gas. But Tom, I was fun. I was looking back at the first team that we drafted together where we did draft Drake May. Guess where we got A.J. brown in that draft?

Oh, at least round four, if not round five.

46th overall 46 is where we got A.J. brown. That was with Drake Mays, our quarterback too.

And we all knew it was coming. Yeah, that draft, I believe that was over on my channel. Fantasy sanctuary closing on 5,000 subscribers. Go and get involved after Andrew's pick. Matthew Stafford, Nico Collins, Devon Achan Jackson Darts. We're down to QB12 already, so it is thinning out a little bit. But my bet on JSN and Brock Bowers was okay. I'm going to have Brock Bowers who is incredibly valuable in this format, which gives you an extra half point PPR for every catch. Brock Bowers could easily break all kinds of records. We've seen him, we've seen the potential. He just needs a slightly more more functional offense to do it. And then JSN just hoping that things carry on from last year After Jackson Dart, Reshy Rice goes to Pigskin Pimps who has Justin Jefferson, Amonra Saint Brown and Rashi Rice. So the players at the top of ADP for me you see in the draft assistant based on Eriksen's rankings it is Drake London, Javante Williams, Derrick Henry. Not much in the way of quarterbacks. I am on the clock though and where I've got the quarterbacks based on ADP in this draft room as Andrew refreshes very kindly. So it's Brock Purdy, Patrick Mahomes, Bo Nicks who are really the top quarterbacks here. I am going to take Brock Purdy. I don't haven't drafted a lot of Brock Purdy yet this year but I do really like him. And then I'm going to take Drake London. I mean my guy Drake London I'm always down to take a bit of him like you look at what he's done over the last few years. 28 target share in three of the last four seasons. Only season where he didn't was the year off. Smith got fired for like being woeful average 19.9 PPR points for Penix. I don't think we'd see that drop a lot. So through four picks jsn, Brock Bowers, Brock Purdy and Drake London got the Brock double tap Feels pretty good to me. Andrew, should we answer a couple of questions before we get down to any of your next picks?

Panda of Love Good afternoon Fantasy Pros Dynasty League Trade offer Josh Allen for Drake May straight up what do you think?

[Andrew Ericsson]

I'm doing it if I can. If I can get younger at the quarterback position. Josh Allen I believe just turned 30. I mean yeah, I'm about 30. So old. No, still an elite quarterback But I think Drake May who I think is going to be 25 years old this season coming off just a fantastic breakout second year. Yeah, I think this makes a lot of sense if you're trying to reset the clock on quarterback and still have a player with an elite upside.

Yeah, being able to get those years back is so valuable in dynasty. And look, if you want to make a case against Josh Allen, you point out the fact that he's coming off his lowest passing yardage since 2019 last year he's not been over 30 passing touchdowns in the last three years, hasn't been over 600 rushing yards in the last three years and if Russian touchdowns of the goal line ever dry up, it's very easy to see him having a bad year for fantasy so I don't mind that one at all. After my pick there was a monster of a quarterback run. I'm very glad that I took at least one quarterback. It went Drake London for myself then Bonix, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Jared Gough, Kyler Murray, Colston Loveland Before Andrew's on the clock we are now past QB18 and maybe I might just live to regret not double tapping quarterback on that turn. Andrew, are you going back to the quarterback? Well here at QB19 for the next

one off the board I don't think so because a lot of the teams that's picked behind me and I think I got a notification that said like you know I have a QB tier kind of drop off here with the draft wizard. I do think that it makes more it's more advantageous for me to instead just go for the highest ranked player. So I think that for me is actually going to be George Pickens I believe as a top end back end wide receiver one as long as I can get him queued up here hopefully. Oh I got him. I got him

to go but hoping that because right now we're back into a quarterback tier where it kind of feels like a lot of the guys are pretty similar. I mean you can make the case for you know, Jordan Love. Tyler Schuck is someone that I am going to be eyeing when I do make my next pick. We'll see if he's available to me. I think he's a player that I have been feel like fighting the noise of a lot of people being high. I know that you like Tyler Schuck a decent chunk. I feel like I've just been so late to get there. When I just look at the profile, look at the situation and it really is a player that to me looks like a lot like Bo Nix heading into his second season. Right. Experienced older quarterback, had a really strong rookie season, has good weapons. You feel really confident about the Kellen Moore offense and when you're getting down to this tier of quarterbacks there are question marks about some of these quarterback play caller combinations where you don't really have that type of concern with Tyler Schuck, Kellen Moore. I think Jordan Tyson is a superstar in the in the making and if that's the case, well his quarterback's probably going to be throwing the ball pretty effectively behind a a decent offensive line so we'll see what happens if he falls back to me But I will be looking to shop at the quarterback part of the market here when I'm making my pick at the 505.

Yeah, I mean it was QB11 from week 10 onwards last year, Tyler Shook and now you give him an extra weapon. Another year where this year the offense is tailored to him. Like last year they were splitting reps between him and Spencer Rattler, almost lost it there but pulled it back in. So this year everything's fully tailored to him and I think that really is going to matter. So since your last pick we went Jeremiah Love, Chris Olavi, Tyler Warren lots to like about lots of them. Big thing for Tyler Warren today. The news coming from the Pat McAfee show with Daniel Jones on it, I believe, talking about how he's medically cleared completely from his Achilles injury and he's going to be fine to take part in all aspects of training camp. Obviously massive for Tyler Warren. We kind of gone back and forth on Tyler Warren a little bit. I think I'm still more excited about Tucker Craft and Sam Laporta who are behind him. But it's really easy to build a breakout case for Tyler Warren this year, isn't it Andrew?

Yeah, I think that he's easily the projected leader in that clubhouse to catch the most passes, see the most targets in that offense. It just makes a lot of sense for what they remove from the offense. You're taking Michael Pittman Jr. Out and he was really eating underneath. What do we see Titans do all the time is operate in that intermediate short area of the field, especially with his yards out to the catch. And it's interesting because I believe that and correct me if I'm wrong, I think that his yard outs of catch didn't really pop last year, just like in some of the advanced metrics. But it's one of those things where it feels a lot of just descriptive rather than predictive because we saw Tyler Warren play at the college level and he was an absolute monster after the catch. So I think there's a little bit of noise to it where I don't know if it's oh, this guy clearly can't break tackles. I don't think that's the case. I just think especially with more opportunities underneath running the football after the catch, I think Tyler Warren's going to eat this year. And again, he's someone that I'm definitely, especially in a tight end premium where you're getting the most for just racking up a lot of receptions. Think he makes a lot of sense here in this format Especially at the end of round four here.

Andrew's back on the clock here in round five. So far he's gone Drake May, James Cook, AJ Brown, George Pickens in this super flex tight end prem contest, Andrew the draft assistant saying Kyron Williams, are you listening to a draft assistant or are you playing this one differently?

Well, I'm gonna hit up coach really quick to see what it's thinking and it says 92%. I asked do I take a quarterback here? And overwhelming census consensus is yes. Let's take Jordan Love here and I honestly could not agree more. We did not get Tyler Shark to come back to me and when I realized that the drafter ahead of me also took Chris Olave, that there was basically no shot that Tyler Shark was going to fall back to me. But Jordan Love, I think that he makes a lot of sense in the super flex format. We have seen him hit a ceiling before. I don't remember if it was 2023 or 2024, but in the back half of that season he was a top five fantasy quarterback. Just a matter of will they let him throw the football a little bit more here. The offensive line is a bit shaky in Green Bay, so that does concern me a little bit. But Jordan Love, I think it was either first or second. I mean, right now I'm leading the teams drafting here in EPA for drop back between Drake May and Jordan. So when it comes to the, the spreadsheets, I, they love my team right now. The advanced. The nerds love my team.

Hey, I mean the nerds. That's one way to win this game. I'm, I'm gonna look to win some natural money out of it, but that's a, it's a good start. And I think you were right though to take that. Like I'm definitely slightly nervous about the next couple of picks. Makes to me since my last pick what, two, four, six, eight quarterbacks have gone off the board and we're at QB21 where you took Jordan Love. So feeling slightly nervous. Two of the three teams before me have got two quarterbacks already. And then the team at the 10 pigskin pimps who's a very smart drafter has just won but might not want to push it too far. The remaining quarterbacks that I'm looking at, Sam Darnold, C.J. stroud, Daniel Jones. So Daniel Jones is probably somebody who's gonna rise. I wouldn't be upset if he made it to me. And then you're down to the kind of level of Bryce Young. Of course Sam Darnold has to go off board to an auto drafter pick nine who would have stacked nicely with jsn. But hey, that's fine. I like to like to live life on difficult mode. I am back on the clock and I am going to take Daniel Jones as my first quarterback here. I'm not going to take a third quarterback straight away though, because looking at what's here, I've got Josh Jacobs, Lad McConkey, T. Higgins, C.J. stroud, Malik neighbors, Garrett Wilson. It just feels like there's still such a level of talent and I'm going to take somebody I've been high on all off season and that is lad McConkey, Andrew. Malik neighbors is still on the board. If he makes it back to you, are you interested?

Yes, I think that I am interested here with Malik Neighbors. I know that we were talking before we started here about the Kings Classic. That's where I was this past weekend at the Fantasy Football Expo. Got the chance to draft with Pat Fitz, Morris, obviously colleague here, friend at fantasy pros and we actually end up getting Malik Willis in the Snake Draft. He fell into round four and it was a situation where we kind of looked at each other. We needed a wide receiver, Malik Neighbors. And again, it's a 14 team league. Oh, sorry. Malik neighbors. Well, it's a 14 team league so you got to take some swings here and there. Of okay. Like because your your rosters do not have any type of depth whatsoever in the waiver wire is absolutely barren, especially in an expert league. And we just looked at each other. He doesn't feel good to click, but he was the highest ranked guy we both had. So it's like, well, are we just going to go against our. He's like, no. Like we got to trust the rankings and we felt like that there was a time and value where he didn't make the most sense. So. And at least last over the weekend we did get something positive. Probably the first positive report about Malik Neighbors that we've gotten all offseason was that he's expected to avoid the pup. Now that remains to be seen whether that's actually true or not. But I did think it was at least somewhat notable that we got some positive news about Malik Nabors. That has really been the. That really has not been the case for the majority of the offseason.

Yeah. And honestly I feel like I played Malik neighbors situation potentially wrong on some of the earlier drafts I've done. I thought that we were going to get the PUP discount. I thought he'd hit pub and people had let him fall even further. But now the news that he's not now it doesn't mean that he's healthy. I think the Giants have said that it just gives them the option to be more flexible with his training, which makes a lot of sense. But I really expected to get another dip at the point, at this point and that was the point where I was going to start being more aggressive with him. But hey, you can't get everything right in this game. It's always a little bit tricky. Andrew's on the clock. We had a question earlier from Dara saying I'm pick 12 and 13 in Superflex PPR. Is Omarion Hampton and AJ Brown an insane start? Well Dara, like if you look in this draft, A.J. brown went to Andrew in the third round. Omarion Hampton went middle of the second round. So look, it's not insane. If those are your guys this year and that's what you want to do, go get the guys that you believe in. Deebo's always very big on that and it's hard to argue with it. But if you're drafting a lot of teams, then I would maybe say that you can get a little bit more value. Like, you know, I started jsn, Brock Bowers, it could have easily been jsn, Joe Burrow, JSN and Monroe, something like that. So get him a mock draft wizard. Do a bunch of those and see how things fall to you. Andrew, you started with Drake May, James Cook, A.J. brown, George Pickens, Jordan Love. Who did you add with your sixth round pick?

Tetaroa McMillan, wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers. Who I think, in my opinion, I think that he's kind of being slept on a little bit. I got him after Luther Burton. Which one of these guys won offensive rookie of the year last year? Tmac. So I understand the concerns about Bryce Young being his quarterback. Who it was his quarterback last year too. And he still won off. It's a rookie of the year. He still had 127 targets total. The same as Ekmeka Egbuca who also went a full round ahead of tmac. I just don't think he's getting enough respect as the clear cut alpha number one receiver in his offense. Look, I don't think that us projecting oh well the Panthers are going to run the ball too much. They're not going to throw the football. You know what? Offense didn't throw the football at all last year, The Seahawks. JSM was pretty good, right? I found that at least in my. When I've looked at my past articles and I've written things about receivers and well, they're not going to throw the ball enough. And every time I look back at that, in hindsight, it's almost always bad analysis where it actually doesn't help me for I'm just going to fade this guy because I don't think the office is going to throw the football enough. That can change so quickly. We saw with Arizona Cardinals, right? Their defense gets gutted by injuries, all the running backs get hurt, and now they decide to drop the ball 40, 50 times a game and. And that creates a fantasy bonanza. So I'm buying the talent of tmac and I just think that he's falling for all the wrong reason. I know he has like some like soft tissue injury thing, but I don't think it's a big deal. I think that he's a player that we should be excited about taking a step forward in year two after a really strong rookie season where again, he was the most consistent guy and that's why he won the offensive Rookie of the Year award. I think he's going to continue to ascend and again we're getting little stat or news nuggets about him in the slot. Oh, baby. Like that's the stuff that we love when we hit guys playing in the slot that that means, right, we're in peak training camp mode. Got to love it.

So whilst you were enjoying yourself at the Fantasy Football Expo last week, I was doing a show with Worm and one of the players I chose as a make or break player was Terror McMillan. And it's just I'm not quite as high as you. I don't mind him in this super flex format and I feel like where he landed with you was good value. But like Bryce Young, 4th worst by passing yards per game last year, 2nd worst by yards per pass attempt. Like, I just find him a really difficult click. And then you look at how the Panther started training camp. Ike Okonwu, left tackle and right tackle Taylor Martin both ended up on pub list, NFI list. So like, I do worry about them. I think their strength schedule is a little tough, but where you got him in the sixth round feels a lot better. Haynes, good friend of mine, Haynes saying, where I got Drake London was a Smash. I started JSM, Brock Bowers, Brock Purdy, Drake London in round four before going Daniel Jones and Lad McConkey. Andrew has Drake May, James Cook, AJ Brown, George Pickens, Jordan Love and Ted Royal. McMillan. So Andrew, you're about to be back on the clock. You go on QB3 or time to start loading up on more running backs. Tight end premium, of course, you don't want to push that too far.

Exactly. You exactly. That's why I want to go with a tight end here and I actually curious if coach thinks something similar if I should go up with a tight end as an option because I look at the board and Harold Fannin Jr. Is still there and I think that he could potentially thrive in this type of scoring format where look we like some of the receivers they drafted Denzel Boston, Casey Concepcion, Jerry Judy, begrudgingly we took in the Kings Classic because he was like wide receiver 80 and you have to start like a billion players in that and we just know he's going to be on the field so. And coach agrees. Yeah, tight end is absolutely an option here, a strong one. I think that there's a tear fall off after Harold Fannin Jr here so that's where I'm going to be going in that direction to take advantage of the tight end premium scoring. I already have a bunch of wide receivers so if I draft another receiver they would actually be in on my bench anyway even in the best balls format. And I don't like to really overextend myself for running back twos. I think that at this point we're starting to see that tier kind of look very very similar as we kind of go down the board. Whereas I think when I look at the tight ends that are available, I think Harold Fannin is ahead of Pitts, ahead of Laporta by a sizable margin because I think that he has a legitimate shot and is the favorite to be his team's target leader which a lot of these other guys do not project as that type of player.

That's fair question from Kylie. We'll get to in a minute but after your pick of Harold Fanning goes Devonte Adams as wide receiver 24 Jadarian Price creeping up to RB24 David Montgomery, Jameson Williams. Top players at ADP for me are Terry McLaren, Trevion Henderson, Bryce Young goes off the board, Kyle Pitt, Sam Laporte, Mike Evans, Christian Watson, Roma Dunzee, Jalen Warren, Aaron Rodgers. So quarterback absolutely getting cleared out. QB 26 for Bryce Young there who goes to pigskin pimps who like myself is yet to draft a running back. I am on the clock after Mike Evans goes as wide receiver 26. I like Terry McLaren. I like Travion Henderson. I don't mind Kyle Pitts. I am though going to take my QB3 in Aaron Rodgers. I don't love Aaron Rodgers, but I think that this is going to be a more successful year this year without Arthur Smith involved. And look, you only live once, so I'm gonna go with Sam Laporta here rather than taking a running back. I'm a big Sam Laporta fan. I think that like what we see from him is, is so much more upside than a lot of the tight ends who go before him. I think that you look at the Lions offense this year, Jared Goff is projected to lead the league in passing yards and touchdowns. Something you've talked about on the Betting Pros podcast, Andrew. But yet still we don't seem that excited for his players outside of Aman Rahsa Brown and Jameer Gibbs. Like when healthy, Sam Laporte has just been an absolute difference maker. Where are you at on him this year, Andrew?

I like him in this type of format. I like him in leagues where he goes a little bit later where he's not necessarily push up the board because usually I tend to stay away from the middle tier of tight ends. Like that's the really one concern I have for Laporta. And if it's more of Laporta as the third option in this passing game behind Jameson Williams, now I look just looking back at their recent splits, it has not been that case. It really has been laporta ahead of Jamison Williams in the target pecking order. It's a new officer coordinator. So what what ends up happening. But if you look at what Petsick did last year with Trey McBride again, I'm not going to give him all the credit, but sure loved targeting his tight end, especially in the red zone. So just given the prices of these particular players, I do feel a little bit more comfortable about Laporta and I believe where did Jameson Williams go if

he's not still on the James still on the board.

Okay, yeah, so he's still on the board here. But I'm sure that, you know, he'll be probably. His name will probably come off the board pretty, pretty soon. Actually. No, he's gone. No. Yeah, he went at the 709. Yeah, so he actually went a couple spots ahead of Sam Laporta. So I think I would rather, I think I like the pick that you made more, you know getting him a little bit later. I do think though when you said when you set it up as you only live once, I thought okay, this has to be Kyle Pitts then. That's always the YOLO pick is oh yeah, time to go back to Kyle Pitts here. But I like the Lions tight end

so I'm not really in on Kyle Pitts as much as the market is this year. I think that you look at the splits and it was so obvious that Kyle Pitts was doing his best work when Drake London was off the field. And I'm not saying I think that he's not good, but I just kind of look at like he's never been a good touchdown scorer last year coming off career highs and targets, receptions and touchdowns kind of set him up for a good market. But I don't believe that he's going to be as consistent as he was last year when Drake London was off the field. Like Drake London is such a target dominator, such a lock in the red zone. And this kind of goes back to what Rob saying in the chat. But like if this is going to end up being a more efficient offense because they've got some someone like Tua or Michael Pennocks at quarterback, then I want to buy into the wide receiver. I think that where Drake London wins the ball sets up really well for Tour and I mean Tua helped Tyreek Hill to two top three wide receiver finishes over the last few years. So it's not like yes, two is never going to be fantasy relevant himself particularly. But it's not like he hasn't done it and I think that everything Drake London does should work well for this one. I want to go back though to Kylie Bertaudio's question. Breeze hall or Bucky Irving this year. Andrew at Fantasy Pros between the analysts There's a lot of division on this one. Where are you going when faced with this one on one of Breeze hall or Bucky Irving?

And listen, now, I'm not too. I don't think this one is too hard, at least for me. I like Breeze Hall. Like, that's the direction I would go. And. And I. I've tried to kind of stay level with the. Okay, let's just, like, bury Bucky Irving, like, get the shovels and just start digging his grave here because, yeah, I recognize that, you know, the committee with Gainwell and Sean Tucker and how Many high value touches will Bucky Irving see. I get that, but he's also still a guy that as a fourth round rookie had over, I think 1,000 rushing yards and is super talented. And the Buccaneers offensive line should be healthy. So I do still think the upside case for Bucky still exists. That being said, Breece hall was a player that we weren't taking that long ago, maybe incorrectly, but as a top five overall player, I, I think that he is the more talented guy. I think that he is less likely to seed receiving work to his running back brethren on his roster. Even though I think that there are Braylon Allen and Isaiah Davis fans and I think that both those guys have something to offer. But the jets paid Breeze. I think he's way less likely to be in a committee. And even if the jets offense isn't the Bucks offense, I'm like the low key. I like the Jets a little bit here. I like their offensive line with those two bookend tackles. I think the interior is okay, but for me it's Breeze hall pretty easily.

[Tom Strachan]

Yeah, I'm with you on Breeze Hall. The problem with Breece is always just the lack of touchdowns. Like four seasons into his NFL career and sitting on 18 rushing touchdowns and nine receiving touchdowns, but the ability to do both sides of the game, the receiving and the ground stuff, and be the goal line back in New York, which is not something you can say about Bucky. Yes, he averaged a good amount of touches last year, but if gamewell comes in and eats into the receiving work, which is definitely his forte, and then gameworld wasn't bad at the goal line last year for the Steelers. We know Sean Tucker is a goal line monster. Bucky just had no touches inside the five last year. So where are you scoring points? Whereas Breece hall, he does have a little bit more of that lockdown. So yeah, I'm with you on that one. So after my pick it went Terry McLaurin, Ramond, Ray Stevenson, Roma Dunze, Trevian Henderson, Kyle Pitts, Brian Thomas, Christian Watson to Andrew in the eighth round. Carnell, Tate, Parker, Washington, Alec Pierce, Jordan Tyson, Marvin Harrison, Cortland Sutton. So whilst I'm sitting back on JSN, Drake, London and lad McConkey, a lot of teams now are starting to fill out their wide receiver position. You went with Christian Watson. The breakout seemed to really happen last year a little more convincingly than previously. Are you believing he could take another step or is this kind of like where you see him? Just you're fine with what he dealed last year?

[Andrew Ericsson]

I think that this could be his full fledged breakout season. And I'm working right now putting the final touches on identifying wide receiver breakouts, guys that turn out a wide receiver one season for the very first time. And Christian Watson is all over that article. And it's funny because you look at the amount of games that he has played and this is his fifth year that he's entering the NFL. He's actually closer to a player who's played three seasons in the NFL because of all the games that he's basically missing entire season just due to all the nagging injuries he's dealt with. But the fact that he was so efficient coming off of last year, I think that if Matthew golden is just the guy is just more of a field stretcher and they use Watson a little bit more underneath, I mean, if they reduce his average depth of target and decide, okay, let's put this guy in more of a Jameson Williams type of role, you're going to see Christian Watson be a top 12 wide receiver if he can stay healthy. Obviously, if he can stay healthy, he's a big concern. But I'm in the clock here, so I'm going to make my pick before I forget. 10 seconds gonna go with Jalen Warren, a player that fits and I. We tried to get in probably both of our drafts at the Kings Classic. He was like circle on our board. Like, I've got to get Jalen Warren, kind of throw him in as our RB2 as we punted off that position and I was like, nope, cannot punt him again. I just think that he is good number one for first and foremost, he's just good at running back and. And maybe he's not the number one Bell cow. That's probably never going to be his role in the NFL. But. But as a running back that can catch passes that it should be an offense that should throw the ball a decent chunk under Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers loves to pepper his running backs with targets. So getting him as my RB2 here in the ninth round where I punted off that position, I think Jalen Warren is like the perfect fit for my type of build here. So I'm happy to have him on the squad.

No, I. I don't think so. I mean there are people that still believe that Tony Pollard is going to have a big role in this offense. That's exactly who the guy and and you're clearly one of them because that's where you got but week one he's going to be probably ranked as a top 24 running back because of the projected volume that he should see in this Titans offense against the Jets. And then you got But I mean Tom, basically if I'm not drafting with you, you're the only person that's going to get Rashad White on the roster. Because every draft I do, I swear I always get Rashad White on my team. He's on both the Kings classics teams that I have with Fitzmaurice. So as part of your 0 RB build makes moments so much sense on

[Tom Strachan]

Rashad White, I am coming around a bit more on Jakori Krosky Merit. We've seen some positive stuff over the last week about how Commanders beat reporters think that he'll have a decent opportunity if he can learn to pass protect better. And they're kind of counting on explosivity. So I am coming around and in Best Ball I mean Legacy, I've drafted probably close to 50 of these teams between pre draft and this contest as well as the $125 single QB entry. I've drafted a lot of teams and I'm starting to mix in both because I want to play it from a portfolio side, but I am more aggressive on Rashad White. This is a guy who averages 51 receptions, sorry, 51 targets per year and is somebody who has seen his efficiency increase slightly over the last couple of years. Like he's been above 50% success rate both the last two years he's had over 4 yards per carry, which wasn't something that we could say from him early on in his career. Rob Mahoney in the chat asking what is the definition of 0rb? Non through five rounds, yeah for single quarterback obviously super flex that gets a little bit more blurry because you pushed quarterbacks in there. I would definitely say that this fits a 0 RB concept and Buckeye saying the definition is you will lose. It's not for everyone, but honestly I've got a long article, perhaps longer than it should be over on my website the FantasySanctuary.com talking about the history of 0rb. It was only a couple of years back that we saw a bunch of these tournaments in Best Ball get taken down by 0 RB lineups. We saw Bestball Mania $2 million up top go as 0 RB team that year. The regular season prize which was half a million dollars went to a 0 RB team. We saw the DraftKings Millie Maker team with 0 RB team win. And then in the last two years we've just seen people continue to try to build 0 RB but it not work out. And then now people are so scared by it because it hasn't worked out for a year or two that they're shying away from it and that maybe it won't work. Maybe I'll burn through some money but I'm always willing to try and create an edge by doing something that other people won't do. I don't think it'll work very well in redraft this year. I think that hero RB Jewel RB is going to be much more comfortable. But here in Best Ball where because I went no running backs through the first nine first eight rounds, I can make up for it in volume and hope that I break out a couple of decent players. I'm willing to go down that path after my pick. Tua J.K. dobbins, Michael Pittman, Isaiah Likely, Josh Downs, Jonathan Brooks, RJ Harvey, Geno Smith Andrew, you went with RJ Harvey RB35 happy with that value?

Yeah, I think it's a value play with him. He went behind J.K. dobbins in this format and although it's not a running back premium scoring format, it still is full ppr. So if he can hold off Jonah Coleman in the receiving role out of this backfield. I get that he was not perfect last year, especially on the rushing side, but he's still a running back that. That totaled over 800 yards from scrimmage, I believe, and 12 touchdowns. So the willingness for the Broncos to at least feature him around the red zone, I think is predictive. Again, it doesn't mean he's gonna score 12 touchdowns every single season. I don't think that's the case. But they like using him around the red zone and they like using in the passing game. Like, those are the high value touches we care about. So if he's seeding touches on early downs in between the 20s, I don't really care. Like, that's not where you're scoring fantasy points anyway. So if he's able to kind of at least maintain and maybe even improve. Right. Like, it's usually the toughest thing is trying to get our running backs to get more involved in the passing game. So the fact that he's already done that so early on in his career, I think that RJ Harvey, again, maybe the ceiling isn't as high as we thought, but J.K. dobbs, we know, is not built the last. And Jonah Coleman, we'll see. He's a rookie. If he can't play, Holden Harvey's gonna get thrown back into a good situation.

[Tom Strachan]

Yeah. Anyone joining us late? This is the FFPC 35 Super Flex Best Ball Tournament, which is full PPR with an extra half PPR Titan Premium. One quarterback, two running back, two wide receiver, one tight end and then two flex spots, one which is a super flex position and then one which is a normal flex of running back, wide receiver or tight end. So there's a lot of different ways that you can build this. And you can see from the draft assistant on screen, there are so many different builds in this. Like, I started without a running back till quite late. You can see blue down at the bottom. Only in the last couple of rounds, the teams that were 110 pushed their running back till fairly late. But then other teams across the board have piled up running backs, piled up quarterbacks, teams have been aggressive with tight ends. So a lot of different ways. And I've made the finals of this contest a couple of times. And both times looking at the teams in the finals, they're always incredibly varied. So it's a fun one from that point of view. Andrew Jacoby Myers, another former Patriot to their team, is it just because he's a Patriot or is he gonna have the best year of any of the Jags past catches.

[Andrew Ericsson]

I don't think he's gonna have the worst year of any of the Jags pass catch. I think that among this crop of receivers again we're all trying to figure basically it's like either a Brian Thomas Jr. Guy or your Parker Washington guy. There. There is no in between. It was funny. You know, you're going at the expo, you're talking to people, how's it going? So who do you prefer? Parker Washington or Brian Thomas Jr. And then based on their choice, you then either continue the conversation or just walk away and find someone else to talk to. But for me I think that Myers is just, he is the supreme value play in my opinion in this receiver room. He's the one that immediately established before with Trevor Lawrence last year. He can play both inside and outside. So if there's an injury he can always get kicked in inside and take advantage of this Lian Coleman slot usage. And he's just been one of the most underrated target earners in the NFL. I mean over the last five years he's top 15 and catches and targets. The guy got paid already by the Jaguars after he they got traded for him. So they're invested him in long term. I get that he's not the sexiest pick, but especially in a best bell format where you're just trying to avoid as many zeros as possible. He may not be the right answer at the Jaguars receiver room but. But I know he's not the wrong answer. So getting in here in the 11th round, I feel pretty good about it.

[Tom Strachan]

Yeah, a little running back run before my pick since my last pick, J.K. dobbins, Jonathan Brooks, L.J. harvey, Blake Corum, Carmen Ongai, Kenny Gainwell, Aaron Jones, Corey Crosby and Jordan Mason all went which isn't ideal for me when I'm pushing the running back position into a slightly more uncomfortable way. The top running backs are Tyrone Tracy, Chris Rodriguez, Keaton Mitchell. So. So again I'm going to take at least one here on this turn because I don't want to get left behind in a position and end up relying on true backups who might not see the field as often. But it's best ball and there's one thing I like to do in best ball and that's always make sure I've got a little bit of a stack. So I'm going to take Ricky Pearsall as my first pick and then I'll take Tyrone Tracy as my second. I've been quite strong in that. I think that it's not going to be as clear a split for Camscatter. Boo as some people expect. Tyron Tracy is a useful player. He can do plenty of things and I'm fine taking him as my RB3 here. Rob Mahoney in the chat saying Richard runs hard, can pass block is effective catching a ball. Five yard gains through the interior. No. But 10 points into flex per week, I think so. Gold lay round pick. Yeah, it's just, it's an easy click. Very much so, particularly when you've gone with the build I've gone. And if you've gone hero RB as well, like guys like Rashad White, Tony Pollard, it's a really comfortable area of a draft for it this year. Andrew, kind of looking from, let's say, beginning of round nine in this draft when you took Jalen Warren through where we are, outside of the two guys you got, do you have any particular favorites in this range among the running backs?

[Andrew Ericsson]

Is that you're asking?

So our guy, usually our guys, Rashad White, but Dylan Sampson is another player I've been very frequently drafting, especially in these full PPR formats.

It's a little early for Dylan Sampson. Let's leave him a couple more rounds.

Okay. That being said, I mean, he's the highest running back I have ranked. So like that. That's because, you know, I feel bullish because it's not Chris Rodriguez. So I feel confident about that. Keaton Mitchell, I get is the popular, another maybe, you know, ball type of pick, but I still don't mind his general ADP range. I mean, he's an explosive player. So even if he rips off a bunch of big plays, again, I don't know what his role is going to be. He's a player that's never really seen more than like 5 to 10 touches on any given week, especially with the Baltimore Ravens. So he's another running back that I think at least you could see the case where you can paint a picture where there's some decent upside there. And then of course, who's the other running back here?

[Tom Strachan]

Well, you've got 16 seconds on the clock, so make sure you get your pick in. But yeah, Kian Mitchell, to your point about his explosivity, his Average speed of 14.49 miles an hour last year was over 1 mile an hour quicker than any other running back with 50 plus carries. So, like, the explosivity is incredible. I think Mike McDaniel, who prioritizes things like speed, is absolutely going to make the most of that. Where did you go with your 12th round pick Andrew after starting out? Drake May, James Cook, A.J. brown, George Pickens, Jordan Love, Terry McMillan, Harold Fannin, Kristen Watson, Jalen Warren, R.J. harvey, Jacoby Myers.

[Andrew Ericsson]

Yeah, I went with another wide receiver play, Xavier Worthy here in round 12. Everyone I talked to at the Expo felt like Xavier Worthy was a value and I kind of agree because why is he not going to play the thief? Because he just, he just burned so many people last year. Like that's like that's why. And Rice isn't suspended to start the year like he was last year. But we never know. The Rice situation is the one that's most fluid. You never know and can never really rely on that guy specifically from an availability standpoint. But the thesis of the play with Xavier Worthy and now maybe if his quarterback is healthy, it's the same type of bet that we made last year. But not in round four, round five and now outside the double digits even in single quarterback leagues. Like he goes outside or tends to be around 10 or later type of pick. So. So we shall see if it shakes out again. He's still a player that could just continually get spanged up again, doesn't do anything. But the minute that he injured his shoulder last year, I mean the season was over and they talked about it. The coaches have talked about how they just had to dramatically reduce his role in the offense because they couldn't do all the things that they wanted to do with him. So if it is Worthy and Rice as the top two guys again, yeah, I think Worthy, worst case scenario can at least be a deep threat as the Chiefs try to get back to bringing explosive plays because that's what teams are hunting for right now. How can we generate explosive plays? Obviously bring Ken Walker is going to play a big part of that, but getting back to a deep ball passing aim with Mahomes, I think that's going to start with Xavier Worthy.

I went with Chicaconkwo who is falling like a stone here and I get why because the Diggs potential signing with the Washington Commanders whether that happens or not it seems like that's the most likely thing. Not like we're now you could be signing there. So yeah I get why he's falling but also understand that Diggs is an older player. He was a limited player time it was a part time player last year for the Patriots. So I still think Chicacon has some type of value and upside and I'm getting it baked in right I'm not overpaying from now especially in this tournament right I'm now getting one of the best prices on Chicaconkwo because he hasn't been going this late because it was figured that he might be the number two no longer the case but still paid him. I I don't think that he's totally buried so so yeah that's what I needed.

[Tom Strachan]

Mighty Boosh Sainsavy Worthy is a great play for best ball QJ2 yeah Quentin Johnson definitely getting smoked up draft boards at the minute. Lots of hype for him in this one. He went at the end of the 10th round to the team 101 slot who have Jameer Gibbs, Jalen Hurts, Trevor Lawrence, Breece hall, Tyler Shook, DeAndre Swift, Tucker Craft, Jordan Tyson, Marvin Harrison, Quinn and Johnson, Makai Lemon, Brenton Strange, Jordan Arison so kind of going the polar opposite to me. Stein running back heavy not taking the first wide receiver till round eight but showing that in this format you can make it work and that is why this format over on FFPC remains one of my favorites. I'm back on the clock. I have JSN, Brock Bowers, Brock Purdy, Drake London, Daniel Jones, Lad McConkey, Aaron Rodgers, Sam Laporter, Tony Pollard, Rashad White, Ricky Pearsall, Tyrone Tracy. So again I probably want to leave this turn with another running back without pushing things too far. Andrew we you talked about Dylan Sampson and Dylan Sampson. I'm gonna keep drafting him and I appreciate you letting him fall back to me because again much like Tyrone Tracy I don't believe that split is going to be as clear as people see you look at what Dylan Sampson does well and he is an excellent pass catcher, much better than Quinshon Judkins in that regard. And Todd Monken rotated Derrick Henry in Justice Hill consistently last year when it was obviously a passing down. So I was very pleased to see him fall all the way back to me. I wouldn't mind adding I could go tight end here, I could go wide receiver, but I probably need to move away slightly from the running back position and looking at wide receiver. The top guys are Casey Concepcion, Jaden Higgins, Jalen McMillan, Travis Hunter. this point in the draft as my wide receiver five, you're kind of looking for somebody who could really bring pure upside to it. I'm not sure I really believe in any of those massive levers. Nobody at quarterback I like. I don't want either the Browns so much as I would have liked to add a wide receiver there. I think instead I'll add the speed demon that is Keaton Mitchell. A little bit of correlation with lad McConkey for my charges. So now you're making a bet on that offense. Just being undervalued again. Kieran Mitchell here, RB46 if I had gone. If you were forced to go wide receiver in that position. Andrew Casey, Jaden Higgins, Jalen McMillan, Travis Hunter, Jalen Naylor, Denzel Boston. Where would you have gone?

[Andrew Ericsson]

Casey Conception would have been me. Because that way you're you're stacking up those Browns double tap A Dylan Sampson, Casey Conception Rounds 13, 14 because you got to get your Browns exposure where you can because it's super high powered offense. What could go wrong? I think that Conception. If it's not Harold Fannin that leads the team in targets, it would be Conception. That's who I would believe. Especially if he's getting a lot of the underneath layup targets that we saw Todd Monken dial up for Zay Flowers when he was the office coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens. If Concepcion is in a similar role, he's a fun player to watch. So that's the route that I would have gone in. Maybe a route that I get an opportunity to go in here. Nope. Because. Because that's how it works fam. When you're. When you're wax politic player and immediately gets drafted. So he's off the board.

[Tom Strachan]

Yeah. After my picks. Tajie Spears, Greg dulcich at Titan 23 Casey Concepcion, Jaden Higgins, Dolan Schultz Andrew's draft so far has been Drake May, James Cook, AJ Brown Pickens, Jordan Love, Taro McMillan, Harold Fannin, Christian Watson, Jalen Warren, RJ Harvey, Jacoby Myers Xavier Worthy, Chiga Conquo so even though I didn't take my running back until round nine, when I went Tony Pollard, Rashad White, I've got Tyron Tracy, Dylan Sampson, Keith Mitchell, my running back room feeling a little more secure and like I'm kind of maybe potentially done with it in some ways, or at least I don't need much more to it. Whereas you've just got James Cook, Jalen Warren, R.J. harvey. How many more running backs do you think you're going to need here, Andy?

[Andrew Ericsson]

Definitely going to need a couple more. And I am got my eye on a particular one as I try to capitalize on this backfield. So I'm going to take Jonah Coleman here. So when I talked about the RJ Harvey selection, I talked about how, yes, if he can hold off Jonah Coleman, there's a scenario where Jonah Coleman does take on a larger role than I'm projecting. But because I have both guys, well, I benefit the most if J.K. dobbin just can't stay healthy. And, and that's usually been his bugaboo. Right. Like that's what's kind of held him back from kind of taking that next step as a really reliable running back. So as long as James Cook can be my hero RB and I can get fill in weeks between Jalen Warren, insert Denver running backs here. Like, that's the great thing about these best ball drafts is with attacking ambiguous backfields, I don't need to be right about the Denver Broncos backfield. All I need to really win these bet is Dobbins doesn't stay healthy and I just capitalize on oh, which Broncos running back scored this week. Oh, I don't, I don't care because I gotta, I, I don't have to pick in this particular format. So I think I had Tank Bigsby ranked one spot ahead of Jonah Coleman. But because I already drafted Harvey and they're not really like handcuffs to each other, I don't think that you need to because I know that there's also a lot of conversations about, well, do I need to draft Ray Davis because I drafted James Cook and it's like, well, no, you're kind of like betting against yourself this way. I'm just betting against J.K. dobbins. That's what it more feels like.

[Tom Strachan]

Yeah. And I think people still have the kind of hangover of the handcuff stuff from Redraft when it comes to best ball. And here it's definitely more feasible and it's more looking at each running back room In a play by play situation, there are worlds where Jonah Coleman and RJ Harvey, if JK Dobbins is injured from week 10 onwards, they could ping pong back and forth. You could have weeks where Jonah Coleman could be getting the touchdowns. You could have weeks where the Broncos are game and it's more of a PPR scam type thing for RJ Harvey. So I don't hate it. I think I possibly would have gone Tyler Algier and tried to lock into a different one. And then if Jonah Coleman came back, maybe I would have gone with it. But it's, I think it's something which a lot of people are scared to do and a lot of people don't think to do still. So it's a good, it's a nice one to kind of reflect on and see how it turns out. When we get to the end of the draft, we're in round 15. This is a 20 round draft. For anyone joining us late, this is the FFPC Superflex contest. $35, $100,000 up top. I think my best finish in this contest was sixth place. The year where I found Puka nakua in the 20th round. That was a great year for late round gems. That was a great year for guys who were not being drafted in every draft like Pukinakua. I think There was only four of the 50 teams in the final that year who had him. So definitely when we get that around 19 and 20, we can talk about where we might be drafting him. Andrew, the first couple of drafts we did in this contest, there was one man who kept coming up as a late round target. Somebody that Haynes, who's been in the chat tonight has talked about a bit. Brandon, are you. Do you think he gets drafted in this one today?

[Andrew Ericsson]

I don't think so. I mean never say never. 20th round people will always want to take their shots. But what's the latest with him? I know that I think the last I saw he has like a house in Washington. That's the last thing I saw from. He didn't show up to training camp, right?

[Tom Strachan]

No, he's not showing up to training camp. He did spend $10 million on a house in Washington. So I mean, hey, pocket change. But yes, still waiting for him to actually go through the process that he needs to go through to get reinstated and then the Command, then the 49ers will have a choice about what to do with him. It's not a situation I've been buying into heavily. I think Stefan Digs has been a much Easier click all season. Andrew's back on the clock after taking Jonah Coleman in the last round. The draft assistant has Ray Davis pretty high up there. The wide receiver position. Jerry Judy, Joanne Jennings, A.D. mitchell, Travis Hunter, Pacheco, Brian Robinson. Which way are you going here, Andrew?

So I'm actually going down the board a little bit here to my highest rank. I actually just talked about, I'm going to go with Tank Bigsby, running back for the Philadelphia Eagles. Yep. Just, hey, and Tom, I'm, you know, by the time we've done like this six or seven stream, I have been actually adding guys to my queue now just to be careful because I like I, I can't get auto picked anymore and just, I can't do that to the listeners and to the viewers of God. Does this Ericsson guy know what he's doing? He can't drive. What does he do? What is, does he have a driver's license here? So we got Tank Bigsby, he was in the queue and we were, we were good to go. We were always going to get there.

[Tom Strachan]

I'm just looking out for you, man. I don't want to see any wasted picks in this contest.

Definitely, you know, it made my life easier 11 team league. But if I can't win then there's nobody I would rather win this contest than yourself. And look, you can just fly me out to Fantasy Football Expo next year as a thank you. So let's see, we're approaching my picks in the 15th round. I have JSN, Brock Bowers, Brock Purdy, Drake London, Daniel Jones, Lad McConkey, Aaron Rodgers, Sam Laporter, Tony Pollard, Rashad White, Ricky Pearsall, Tyron Tracy, Dylan Sampson, Keaton Mitchell, Kate Otten, Evan Ingram going off the board as tight end 28 and Titan 29. I'd hoped Pat Freiermuth would make it back to me. I still think he's one of the best late round tight end values on the board and he would have stacked very nicely with Aaron Rodgers. But hey, such is life doesn't always work out. Top guys in ADP are Deshaun Watson, Isaiah Pacheco, Gunnar Helm, Shadow Sanders, Travis Hunter, Brian Robinson, Braylon Allen Allen, Juwan Jennings. Little bit of talk last week that Braylon Allen isn't the RB2 and it's going to be Isaiah Davis, which shook me a little as I'd been drafting a decent amount of Braylon Allen this year thinking he was the clear RB2. Andrew, do you have a kind of stance on that? Are you starting to draft Isaiah Davis where you can or do you think Braylon Allen is just much more talented?

[Andrew Ericsson]

I feel like these situations where you don't know who the RB2 is, I feel like it's a loss loss type of proposition. Right. Because it could be that he's the RB2 to start the year and then changes to me, it's I just want Breeze hall and then I don't. I don't want another jets running back basically. And I'm and if I'm wrong, so be it. But there are just other directions. I I just remember being so confident in June about I know exactly how every backfield is going to do and I'm the one that's in charge of the handcuff index over on Fantasy pros and you know, I try to update that the best of my ability. And then there are some backfields where I'm like, man, like this RB2 spot feels really shaky. It feels really fragile. And based on these picks, especially as we get more information about how these backfields are starting to shake out, I just feel like, you know what, if someone's way more bullish on who the RB2 for the jets is going to be, be my guest. You can take them. I'll try to go somewhere else where maybe I feel a little bit more confident about who the actual backup is.

[Tom Strachan]

So my picks on the turn in round 15 and 16, I take Gunnar Helm as my Titan. 3. Yes, I got Brock Bowers and Sam La in this format. Historical data shows kind of three tight end room minimum. Unless you've really got the top two tight ends is the way to go. Four tight end rooms quite often are the key to winning big. And then I took Travis Hunter as my wide receiver. 5. I've got JSN Drake, London lad McConkey and Ricky Pearsall. Like, if I'm taking a wide receiver at this point in the draft, I want somebody who can get in my starting lineup. Now Travis Hunter might be a complete miss in best ball in round 16. It's not going to completely kill my team, but it's, you know, you'd rather not waste it. But if Travis Hunter hits, he's going to hit in such a good way. Like if they have wide receiver injuries and he ends up having to play more wide receiver, we saw him start to break out just before the injury, so I'm happy to shoot for the moon on him. Here at wide receiver 64, the opportunity cost is a massive. You look at the other guys in this range, Jalen Naylor, Debo, Samuel, very much fine with it. Andrew, have you drafted much Travis Hunter?

[Andrew Ericsson]

Yes, I have. I think that he is just the classic case player of you don't draft him when he's expensive and you draft a ton of him when he's cheap. And you just kind of let the chips fall where they may because we all don't know what's going to happen with Travis Hunter. And I, I, yeah, I have nothing else to add. I think that, yeah, 16th round, getting a player who's drafted top five, see how it goes.

[Tom Strachan]

Yeah, well, mighty boosh in the chat saying, how do you feel about Gadsden and Strange this year? For me, Gadsden has become a lot more interesting. He goes tight end 19 in this draft. I was in one yesterday where he went as tight end 21 when he was going like five or six places higher among tight ends a few weeks ago. That's much more palatable. And then Brendan Strange goes as tight end 20 again. That feels like a really solid value. Andrew, I know you're on the clock, so I'll let you make your pick, but I just think Brendan Strange, like the Jags are talking about doing more two tight end stuff. Obviously they invested a lot of money or a lot of draft capital in the blocking tight end in the second round who Borka chair. Definitely pronouncing that wrong. But Brendan Strange should be out there as the main passing guy and I think that with all this wide receiver ambiguity, it makes sense to take shots at him. As for Gadsden, plenty of like smoke about Charlie Kohler recently. I like Charlie Kohler. I'm a Ravens fan. I've seen him play. I know that he's got got more ability than he's probably given credit for. David and Joku, obviously a reasonable chance to get some snaps and some targets. But in best ball, I think, yeah, if you get in Gadsden as tight end 19 after the likes of Juwan Johnson, A.J. barner and T.J. hawkinson, that's fine. Andrew, where do you land on those two?

[Andrew Ericsson]

I think both guys make sense, especially if you had their quarterbacks. I think you get Trevor Lawrence, you get Justin Herbert, it makes sense to stack them up because that's how a lot of these tight ends, these more fringy guys are going to pop. It's did they score a touchdown this week? Did they rip out the big play? I think you're getting more of the big play upside from Gadsden like he showed in showcase last year. If any of these receivers go down. We've seen Gadsden already show the ability to take on a larger role. Strange. It definitely feels way more muddled in terms of his just like general target projection just because I mean this Jaguars receiver room, you could, they could go four wide at some points. Again, a lot of tight ends, a lot of mouths to feed in that Jaguars offense. I think a little bit more more than the Chargers, so I think I lean slightly towards Gadsden, but I think both have their place. Both are going to be talked about in redraft formats as likely waiver wire guys, depending on how things shake out. But I think if you're starting one of those guys week one in a redraft, I I think that you're feeling pretty bad about your tight end row just to start the year. Unless something dramatically happens or shakes up during the season or during the preseason where there's an injury and Joku gets cut or something like that happens.

[Tom Strachan]

Well, I think that's the thing with them, isn't it? Like both of them play on offenses where we're confident in a bunch of other different positions. So you go down to guys like George Kittle at tight end 10, Mark Andrews tight end 11, Travis Kelsey tight end 9 in this draft, even Jake Ferguson tight end 14. It's much easier to understand what their roles are going to look like through the early period of the season. And I think whilst they and maybe not as well, I don't want to say high ceiling, maybe not as exciting as Gadsden was during that brief spell last year. I think sometimes taking a bit more projectable volume of a tie in position rather than taking zeros is something I'd feel a little bit better about. But I agree they're definitely the kind of names for when we get into the roster churn when we get into waivers and into all of that, I fully expect to be talking about him plenty. Andrew in the round 16 went Jordan James, who reports suggest is the RB2 ahead of Caleb in San Francisco, Deshaun Watson, Shadow Sanders go back to back picks as QB34, QB35. After that, Isaac Tesla, Eli Stowers, Antonio Williams, David Njoku, Orion Flournoy and then Chargers wide receiver Trey Harris goes as wide receiver 72. Andrew, we've only got four picks left to go. Where are you going with the first of those four?

[Andrew Ericsson]

Yeah, my queue just got absolutely obliterated with guys like Trey Harris. That was someone I was looking at. So I'm going to see here how I'm feeling about all right, where Am I All right, let's see. I think I might. I mean I got Ray Du Ray Davis queued up as my, my fallback option and yeah, I mean I'm just not loving a lot of the options here. So I can't confirm nor deny whether it's smart for me to take my first round running backs handcuff right here. But going back to the conversation about Braylon Allen, I feel pretty confident that Ray Davis would have the biggest bump in terms of usage. I know they're going to mix in Ty Johnson to an extent and I mean hopefully Ray Davis does absolutely nothing this year for me and that means James stayed healthy, played all 17 games and if I got to sacrifice a 17th round pick to make sure my second round pick and my RB1 is a superstar, well, I've made worse 17th round picks.

[Tom Strachan]

So it's, it's definitely interesting. I think the double handcuff approach is not Smith I would do often but I understand your logic behind it. Kilo King in the chat dropping the super chat. Not best ball but 12th pick PPR two wide receivers, two running backs, one tight end, two flex. Should it go double wide receiver with Justin Jefferson Drake London or AJ or AJ Brown mixed in there or a double running back of Achan Barkley Hampton or should I do something else? Andrew I wrote the how to draft series on the website and go pick by pick on them and I go back and forth with this slot. Obviously here in this superflex I went jsm, Brock Bowers. What would you be giving Kilo King in terms of advice for what he should be doing? Well, if you, if this was your ideal PPR stretch, I think for me,

[Andrew Ericsson]

because this is actually looking and it's funny that the, the the username is Kylo King because this format is very similar to the King's classic format where it's full PPR and you're picking at the end of the first round. Now it's not a 14 team league, but I can tell you pretty confidently that the bad the time that you try to pick running backs in the next round, it's going to be very, very tough to feel good about those specific players. So I would actually probably lean in towards like the running back running back start here. I think that that's probably advantageous because you're gonna love a lot of the wide receivers that are there for you at the 34 turn, whether it's the Zay Flowers, the Jalen Waddle. Like those are players that I like a lot and want to Get a lot of exposure to. So again, in Best Ball, I would be more open to doing the 0 RB approach here. If I can get, you know, I get London, AJ Brown, but in a redraft format where you're turning the waiver wire a little bit more, I think that I would be more comfortable doing this double running back start. I. I know that Fitz and I, we did Chase Brown, Ash and Genty. That's the picks that we had at 13 and 14, so we felt pretty good about that. But any combination Achan, Saquon, Barkley or Marion Hampton, it's a nice tier. So that's probably the direction I would probably go in.

[Tom Strachan]

Yeah, in redraft, I'm fully kind of with you on that one. Like, I think that you can look at the round two wide receivers and you're probably not getting guys like Drake London down there, but you can look at guys like Chris olave, Davanta Smith, lad McConkey, T. Higgins are all available in that range of the draft and it makes for quite a nice starting lineup. So I'm with you in round 16. Sorry, round 17. I added Jaden Blue as my sixth running back, so I now have a running back room of Tony Pollard, Rashad White, Tyron Tracy, Dylan Sampson, Keaton Mitchell and Jaden Blue. Feeling pretty good about Jaden Blue, somebody whose ADP continues to rise over the last couple of weeks with positive reports that the Cowboys really want him to be their RB2 behind Giovanni Williams and take an okay amount of snapshots. It feels like a much more positive off season for him this year than last year. And then I took rookie Jeremy Bernard, stack him up with Aaron Rodgers, just kind of lean into that a little bit. I'm a little bit light on stacking today. I've got Brock Purdy stacked with Ricky Pearsall and then Jeremy stacked with Aaron Rodgers. But you don't always need massive stacks in this one. But I feel pretty good about my wide receiver room here. Andrew, we are back to you now for your 18th round pick. You've gone running back for four straight picks. John Coleman, Tank Bigsby, Jordan James, Rady Davis now sitting on seven running backs total with James Cook, Jalen Warren, RJ Harvey, tight end. Only the two of them. You're probably one of the lightest teams in this best ball draft so far. Are you going tight end here? Where are you going?

Yeah, let's go tight end here. I'm gonna go with Darnell Washington. I know you talked about Pat Frymorth being a value at the tight end position. I agree with that. Darnell Washington I thought was at least interesting last year when it comes to yards out to the catch, that was one of the best things he was at and that's usually been a pretty positive indicator of future production at the position. Now investing in too many Steelers is definitely something that you don't want to do again. I think every time that we've talked about Steelers players or like Aaron Raj is like yeah, like you don't love this pick but hey, if they're gonna throw the ball a decent chunk, you're gonna see underneath targets. Right. Just again the only guy don't draft on the Steelers basically DK Metcalf. Right. Everyone else I'm kind of like, like all right, like, like underneath targets. Yeah. In a full PPR for premium, especially for tight ends. Yeah. Give me dart out Washington. So to your point, I'm actually, you know, appreciate the shout out because I was like yeah, you're right, I was going light on tight end. So always looking out. Always looking out, Tom. Appreciate that.

We do not forget the Titan Premium in this format and I'm prezzy in the chat saying I picked at 9 in Super Flex Titan Premium best ball league got JSN and Jetta's in round one and round two. Love that Justin Jefferson went at the 10th pick over here. I got JSN at the 12th pick though. Felt pretty good about that. And yes, Prezzy put that in the best ball section of the discord after we are done here and myself and Andrew will both definitely take a look at that. I think I probably will take somebody later on. I was very close to drafting Geno Smith when he went off at round 10 and I do that's probably just looking back at this really quickly that that's one of the picks I kind of regret just I should have just taken him and could just punt him running back another round. But you live and learn. I'm sure the the draft analyzer tool will remind me my mistakes that I made so I am looking at some of the other quarterbacks but again you get to this, this range of quarterback where it's you're trying to make your. It's just oh well like make the case and I get why McCarthy is at the top of the board and I just, I just. It never feels good to be drafting your third quarterback down here. It just never really does.

I mean look, I get the argument for J.J. mcCarthy here. If you feel obliged to take a quarterback, I mean like he wasn't a good quarterback last year and really struggled to keep the offense moving. But if you're saying that like we're past Carson Beck, like Carson Beck's having a stink. River starts training camp with multiple passes going like five or more yards wide. According to reports we're past Mac Jones who if Brock Purdy stays healthy, please for my team then Mac Jones might not see the field. Justin Fields goes off the board at QB 38 and Patrick Mahomes is healthy to start training camp. So I mean yeah, J.J. mcCarthy time. Maybe I'll let Andrew make his own Picksville. He's sitting here with two quarterbacks, three tight ends. Plenty of fun stuff there and it's been a very fun draft. If you want more Best Ball content you gotta let the people at Fancy Pros know. Yes, I went with Eli Raridan, rookie tight end for the New England Patriots who's gotten some positive steam again. I was checking out the fantasy pros news desk before in the news alerts on the Fantasy pros app before we hopping on here. Just make sure I was updated with everything and I know we didn't talk about this bit, but I also drafted Jordan James because because he was the RB2 at 49ers training camp for the first day or whatever. So again trying to take advantage of some of these new easier items before these guys get steamed up potentially. So Raridan, we'll see how long Hunter Henry remains as the tight end one in the Patriots offense but trying to take advantage of if Eli Radin scores a random touchdown here or there. Well, I have Drake May as my quarterback and like I said at the top, all of these best ball teams for super flex in the FFPC see their rider dies with Drake May. So if Drake May has a terrible season, I don't even need to log in. I don't need to go check it. I I know what's going on but if Drake May is balling out every single week, I think Raritan could have a couple spike weeks along the way. Especially in the second half of the season where we start to see these rookies really tight take a step forward. So again, you said I was late on tight end. How do you feel now, Tom? Now I got four tight ends.

[Tom Strachan]

I feel much better for you, Andrew. Yes, and obviously it's a bit of a fin bet on Raridon. Like you know, know he's going to play in two tight end sets. But Hunter Henry was somebody I think one of the reporters were asking Mike Vrabel today about whether Hunter Henry's in line for a contract extension and Vrabel was saying that he'd like to see that but he wasn't going to get involved too much with contract stuff. So yeah, I mean if this offense can spread the ball around more, if Drake May can ascend even further, then I see no reason why we can't get a little bit more of that. With my last pick 6, 19th and 20th round, I am gonna take Elijah Surratt, one of my guys this year on my Baltimore Ravens. Hard not to want to take a little bit of him. He's a really good player. I think he's going to Help Lamar Jackson in red zone where last year the Ravens were just absolutely awful at one of the highest drop rates in that area. Lamar wasn't completing passes there, so definitely interested in just taking a little bit of a and then in round 20, I'm going to take somebody I mentioned earlier, somebody who probably hasn't been drafted a whole lot this off season so far, but I'm going to take Isaiah Davis and yes, I'm going to get involved with the jets and have to live with it if it's a bad bet. But if Isaiah Davis hasn't been drafted for a huge amount of drafts and he does turn out to be the RB2, then getting him here as RB67 feels like an okay value. Andrew, do you want to curse yourself and say who you hope makes it back to you in round 20?

No, because I know this guy is going to make it back unless I say it. And then someone just, just draft. I mean, I guess you. I guess if you want to draft Carson Wentz ahead of me, go right ahead, draft him.

Well, J.J. mcCarthy did go one pick after you, so you don't need to worry about that. My team completely done with JSM Brock Bowers, Brock Purdy, Drake London, Daniel Jones, Lad McConkey, Aaron Rodgers, Sam Laporta, Tony Pollard, Rashad White, Ricky Pearsall, Tyrone Tracy, Dylan Sampson, Keaton Mitchell, Gunnar Helm, Travis Hunter, Jaden Blue, Jeremy Bernard, Elijah Surratt, Isaiah Davis I went with 0 RB approach, didn't take my first running back until the 108th pick off the board and I feel like I managed to work it pretty well with a draft room of Tony Pollard, Rashad White, Tyron Tracy, Dylan Sampson, Keaton Mitchell, Jaden Blue, Isaiah Davis seven running backs in all Andrew's team Drake May, James Cook, A.J. brown, George Pickens, Jordan Love, Taro McMillan, Harold Fannin, Christian Watson, Jalen Warren, R.J. harvey, Jacoby Myers, Xavier Worthy, Chiga Conquo Jonah Coleman, Tank Bigsby, Jordan James, Ray Davis for that double handcuff running back approach. Then rounding out the onesie positions with Darnell Washington, the Man Mount and Eli Radon stacking up for that Patriots stack. And then Carson Wentz is QB41 off the board. Andrew, before we get to the draft grades, how do you feel about your team?

[Andrew Ericsson]

Well, the consensus loves my team with a 90 out of 100 guys. This is why it pays to rip those mock drafts and the mock draft simulators. Practice makes perfect as you can see here. And honestly, I think maybe I could. I could have gotten this grade a little bit higher if I had probably because I went off the wall definitely with some of my last round picks. Getting raidered in probably reached on him. Wentz obviously reached on him, but luckily the draft wizard wasn't or the draft analyzer wasn't that holding that much against me. But to be totally honest, like during the first 10 rounds I really liked my team. I I thought it was really, really strong getting George Pickens as my wide receiver too. I don't get a lot of him because I think he goes a little bit high in some of the one quarterback league and typically you don't love paying up for that real life number one or number two wide receiver that is coming off like a monster season. And the fact that he is playing without a contract into next year does kind of concern me about if he's going to pack it in during the last four weeks of the season. Like that's something that's kind of keeping the back of my mind. But no, I, I do like my team and I would say I definitely agree with this grade and clearly, I mean the, the Fantasy Pro is of kind crew also is game 98 from me, 94 from Fitz Morris, 92 from Dbro. I mean I said nothing nice to Debro over the last weekend for him to give me a 92 here. That's. That is, that is the Lord doing his work. So let's go, let's go check out the rest of the full announcement. We'll get a, get an idea of how your team did as well.

Yeah, I mean you definitely improved dramatically from the last time we did this and you were treated to quite a miserable score. So I'm excited to see if it's me this time. It looks like I'm down in 10th place there. Of course, if you're not familiar with it, this is the Fantasy Pros draft assistant. All right, so pulling up your team right now. So you got a C. So you're still passing here, Tom. That's fine. 10th place. Let's look at the expert opinions here. Well, okay, it's because. It's because you went 0 RB, of course. So your running backs are going to be 12th on the list. Of course they don't love your quarterbacks and you're super flex. So. So that's where it doesn't like. But then obviously per. Per typical of a 0 RB team is wide receivers totally stacked, tight ends totally stacked and you're dominating the normal flex spot. So second, second, second overall in all those positions. So let's check out the expert opinions here. So luckily this time I don't hate your team or the Andrew Bot doesn't hate your team. So I do I, I, I. That does bring me joy that I'm not just raining on your parade played because I never like doing that but I do want to kind of look and see. Let's look at the, the, the team strength. So Purdy Pollard, Rashad White because I, because again I like Rashad White a lot. So that's why you're going to get positive grade for me and then Daniel Jones and Brock Purdy in the super flex. I guess my question for you would be because you went 0 RB, do you feel like you should have gotten better quarterbacks in a super Flex format? I guess that would be my, my only one question for you.

[Tom Strachan]

Yeah, so I guess you could look at where I took Drake London and say would better off as a team If I took Bo Nicks there or Mahomes or Mayfield etc. I wouldn't want to go that way. I think like you want to make sure the wide receiver room is going to be dominant if you're doing this sort of thing. I think it's fair to say that then back and I made this point of the time. But by the time I did take Daniel Jones in round five, like we had seen it, we'd gone from I took Brock Purdy at QB13 and then I took Daniel Jones at QB23. In the space of, you know, one round, like two rounds even 10 quarterbacks came off the board which did make it hard for me. I would have liked Sam Darnold to drop to me. I would have liked Malik Willis or Tyler Shukin. Having done a lot of these drafts, sometimes you get fortunate when you push the quarterback. Sometimes you don't get fortunate. I'm glad that I took Aaron Rodgers where I did though maybe the draft system would have thought I did a better job of things If I took CJ Stroud ahead of lad McClon Keeper. I'm quite cool on CJ Stroud. I don't particularly see him being an incredible fantasy quarterback and definitely not ahead of Daniel Jones and Brock Purdy. So I definitely understand that. I feel pretty good about this one. I think that between Brock Bowers and Sam Laporta that I should have a tight end and potentially a flex spot every week and the Three wide receivers I think are going to go a long way and some weeks I'll be pushing out that super flex spot anyway. So yeah, it could have worked better for me from a grading point of view. But look, the grades aren't always going to love what you do when you start leaning into more extreme strategies. So I'm found that I'm prezzy. Are you able to use the draft analyzer anytime post draft? If you aren't using it when the draft concludes, I'm fairly sure that you can sync your leagues to it and you can get retroactive retrospective grades. So yeah, definitely go check it [e-mail] Assistant this draft has been a lot of fun. Andrew. Is there anything else you want to touch on before we get out of here?

I do want to see who else. Oh, we also found this out at the Expo. Wait where the Andrews are pushing the Joes for the amount of analysts in this space. Talked to Andrew hall for a very long time about we have to get all these Andrews together and we need to battle against of all the the the fantasy pros. Joe's in the space so it's good to see myself up there. And then Andrew led cut Ledsa. I don't know. I'm not pronouncing it. I see another Andrew L. Another fellow Andrew giving me a 97 out of 100. That is something that's absolutely great and actually too like Tom the analyst that was highest on your roster, Matt Donnelly got a chance to hang out with him as Expo so shout out to Matt and dude was killing it and crushing it and he likes your team so that's all that really matters at the end of the day.
