The second the weather drops, I'm instantly in holiday mode. Sweaters, comfort food, all of it. And nothing hits better on a cold day than unwrapping an Arby's classic roast Beef Facts. When that tender, slow roast beef is warm and juicy, it's like soul therapy. And if you're feeling a little extra.
West Wilson
Like we usually are, go for the double dude.
Joe Fitz
Double roast beef, double beef and cheddar. Twice the meat, twice the happiness. You know what you want?

Welcome in, everybody, to Fantasy Pros. This is the Fantasy football podcast. It is me, Joey P, Joe P. Zappia. And it's time to look ahead to the waiver wire for the playoffs. That's right. You did it. You made it. You're here in the playoffs. Jake C. From the Athletic. And I have some names that could be streamers this week, depending on what's going on with your roster. Because just because you made the playoffs doesn't mean your whole team is intact in week 15. So, Jake Sealey. Speaking of intact, certainly a lot of injuries in the last weekend to deal with that are going to have massive impacts as well, too. I mean, these quarterback injuries, losing Daniel Jones, what that does to some of the offensive pieces there, obviously Jaden Daniels getting hurt. Again, a lot of things with the thumbs down, as you were pointing out.
Joe Fitz
Yeah, the Daniel Jones one is probably the worst. Which is crazy to think that preseason would be sitting here being like, man, it's going to really suck if we lose Daniel Jones right before the fantasy playoffs. And yet that's what we're saying. Because it's a big thumbs down for. Honestly, Pittman was the only one that benefited from that benefit. Like, the target share went up, so Pittman might be okay, but you have to worry about Alex Pierce and sound like I said Alex.
Joey P. Zappia
Alec Pierce did sound like you said Alex. I can feel the YouTube comments, though. This guy writes for the Athletic and he doesn't know it's Alec and not Alex.
Joe Fitz
Oh, no. I was waiting for the YouTube comments to come for the hat. Like your stupid school bailed out. Like, no good for them. I stand with them.
Joey P. Zappia
Take away the Irish. Goodbye, the Notre Dame.
Joe Fitz
Oh, that's it.
Joey P. Zappia
I can't believe nobody said that. Am I the first person to say.
Joe Fitz
That he's the first person that I think I've seen say it and I've been reading a lot of that.
Joey P. Zappia
See Irish, goodbye. See you when you just they just dipped out.
Joe Fitz
We won't have in the waivers but because it sounds like everybody kept saying like he's come, he would have come back in the game if the blowout wasn't in hand. But just in case, if Devon Achan is out, Jalen Wright looks like he's actually going to be the lead. Remember, this is the roller coaster Jalen.
Joey P. Zappia
Wright like oh, the Ollie Gordon and Jalen Wright's the oh man, I've been hedging Devon Achan stuff for two years now and none of it's worked out well.
Joe Fitz
So if he's out, it looks like Jalen Wright's the lead and Ali Gordon would probably be the goal line option, which is what we kind of thought it would happen anyway and now we're actually two where that would happen. But it might not because ha might be fine anyway.
Joey P. Zappia
All right, well let's get to some other names here. Not on the Dolphins here. Let's start with Jaden Reed, who was activated this past Sunday and finally after doing that collarbone injury. So what effect could Reed have going down the stretch in the playoffs?
Joe Fitz
Yeah, I thought this was an interesting that under 50% on sleeper or 41% on Yahoo. Where I guess not everybody has IR spots and wasn't able to stash him all year long. So this is kind of more for one if he's out there. But two also if you had been waiting, if you did stash him, if you did keep him on your bench and didn't start him in his first game back, Reed was right back out there as the slot option and he was on the heels of Romeo Dobbs in snap count and routes which that's the excitement here because Romeo Dobbs has basically been a non factor for most of the second half of the season, if not a little bit longer. He had that one good game but outside of that, nothing there. And Christian Watson still looks great which good for that. As we told everybody, I say we, I'm including you. I was like don't worry about Christian Watson. It's finally happening. Jaden Reed and I said this on our show, I say our show now, the Fantasy pro show on Thursday with Fitz. I said don't worry about Jaden Reed coming back. He's not going to hurt Christian Watson because what did he do? He's filling the Tucker Craft void and that's where it comes in is that Slot option, middle of the field. Those opportunities that craft left and nobody has been really able to duplicate is that's what Reed will be. So if you had Reed or if you need to pick him up, I'd immediately throw him back and as a wide receiver. Three starting next week.
Joey P. Zappia
All right, next up here, number two on our list has to do with the Dallas Cowboys too. So if CD Lam played on a Thursday so there is a little extra time to clear concussion protocol. But typically when someone's in concussion protocol, they don't play the next week. So it's going to be very dicey. However, the Cowboys need him. We every everybody knows that the fantasy managers need them too. But if he is out, who benefits besides George Pickens?
Joe Fitz
It's going to be Ryan Flournoy. As it happened in that game and has been most of the season, the next one up for everybody that wanted all the other options like Turpin and Tolbert and everything, it's been clear from them it's been Flournoy. So if there is no CD Lamb, Flournoy steps up. They have the Sunday night game hosting the Vikings. So we actually have extra, extra time for Lamb and this is more so specifically for Lamb or hey, I need that Hail Mary play because we're going to have to make this decision well before we know about Lamb. Likely if your waivers run. So this is a big if. It might be somebody you throw right back to the waivers. But at this point of the season, we're talking about week 15, the playoffs. We're talking playoffs. We're talking playoffs right now. At Flournoy I would not start more than a wide receiver. 4. But in this passing offense with Dak Prescott, we've seen it already. Anytime Lamb or Pickens is out, we want the next option. So I would start Flournoy as a wide receiver. Four if Lamb is out.
Joey P. Zappia
All right, let's talk about Dylan Sampson for a moment. We had a big offensive explosion from the Cleveland Browns. Those are words I haven't uttered in quite some time, I can tell you that much. Shador Sanders threw for over 300 yards. So is Dylan Sampson somebody that we could look at potentially as being a beneficiary if this offense can continue to evolve down the stretch? Now granted I understand it was against the Tennessee Titans a one win team, but now they're a two win team. But what do you think about Dylan Sampson? Is he worth an ad?
Joe Fitz
Well, so and we'll talk about somebody at number five. This is twofold, so actually it's threefold if you think about it. So one, yes, it is actually happening. Sanders is making this offense click a little bit better. Not as a big surprise that he's a better quarterback than Dylan Gabriel, but the second part of it is he's the next person up. He's always been the next person up. If anything happens to Quinshawn Judkins as a Jerome Ford would be worked in, but Sampson is the one that we want. So there's that whole aspect of it. The second part is because of Sanders increasing the opportunities and throwing to now the running backs as well. That's actually Dylan Sampson stepped in as the pass catcher. So where it used to be mostly Judkins with Gabriel, now we're seeing a little bit of Sampson sprinkled in as the pass catching option. And he won't be usable every single week. And I'm not even saying he's a flex start most weeks, but we are talking about pickups at this time of year if something were to happen to Judkins. And Judkins seemingly keeps getting banged up every single week at this point. Yeah, but talking about number three as a sneak preview ahead of they just lost like half their wide receivers. Like Corley left with a concussion, Cedric Tillman left with a concussion. They're down to basically Jerry Judy who we're going to all of a sudden watch Jerry Judy is going to be a playoff winner. We're going to be so annoyed. But they're down to nobody really. Which is going to involve our number five pick here today. But also throwing more to Dylan Sampson just because they're hurting so bad at wide receiver. And David Nujoku got hurt too.
Joey P. Zappia
All right, well, do you want to just talk about the number five now?
Joe Fitz
I said his name enough.
Joey P. Zappia
All right, all right, well, let's make him the number four guy instead. Let's talk about Isaiah Bond here. Obviously, you know, I just kind of set everything up there with the Cleveland Browns offense starting to show some signs of life and look like maybe Shador Sanders getting comfortable. Of course not comfortable enough to be left in when you need a two point conversion. I mean why would you want to leave the quarterback in. In a situation where he's over 300 yards against today Titans?
Joe Fitz
If he pitched it, it would have worked.
Joey P. Zappia
Maybe. Maybe theoretically. All right, let's talk about Isaiah Bond, the speedster out of Texas.
Joe Fitz
Yes.
Joey P. Zappia
Went undrafted because of some issues, obviously. But then of course cle Browns say if you've got problems, you come here. We're the Cleveland Browns. We love all the problem children. But look, there's no denying the talent that this guy has and the explosiveness. Can that explosiveness be a fantasy benefit for us in the playoffs?
Joe Fitz
I thought you were going to keep going. I thought you were going to be like, we feel bad for you, son. You got 99 problems and our team is one.
Joey P. Zappia
Well, The Browns have 99 problems.
Joe Fitz
That's what I'm saying.
The real appeal here is we saw Isaiah Bond was kind of sprinkled in earlier this year, and we were talking about. I think we actually brought him up on this show a few weeks ago as, hey, stash them just in case it's starting to happen, in case he's starting to come in for the number two spot alongside Judy or even with Tillman or whatever it might be. But now the opportunity is there because there's not really many options left, as I just said. And Isaiah Bonds had the talent. There was a lot, including myself. And I know. I think it was either Bogman or Debro. I forget one of the two. I know agreed with me and said that he was the better Texas wide receiver than Matthew Golden. But all that being said, the talent is there and now the opportunity is. And if you look at it, they're facing Chicago on the road this week. Chicago's extremely vulnerable. Look at what Jaden Reed and the rest just did. And then they get Buffalo, which isn't the best, but at home, if you get maybe a shootout, but then also Pittsburgh to finish things off. And all I'm presenting that to say is that there's a chance Isaiah Bond, like many of these, could end up being a wide receiver for if he grabs that number two role and doesn't let go when Tillman and the rest come back.
Joey P. Zappia
All right, he was number four. Now he's number five. Jack Besh, the last guy we're going to talk about here on Jake's list. That's all right, Jack. No, no Lesser. No Lesser. You know, the Raiders obviously have clear problems and Geno Smith's health is also now in question. So talk to me about Jack Besh here. What you think makes him worthy of a pickup this week.
Joe Fitz
Oh, and he's number five. Actually, he probably should have been number five because the schedule is not enticing the rest. So at Philly, at Houston, you've seen what the Houston defense is doing to everybody. But then they get the Giants in the championship game, so yay. That's cool. Besh actually came out and led the wide receivers in yardage and as promised by the team, he's going to get more opportunities. I don't know why it took this long finally to have Besh get opportunities in general, especially before early in the season Thornton was in front of him. But Besh has finally happened. And what the appeal of is Besh is kind of even some like Jacoby Myers ish to him, but like, hey, he's gone and now you have the younger, fresher and honestly a little bit better downfield at this point. Possibly you could argue at this point of his career just because of the explosiveness. I would still take Jacoby Myers, but filling that void. We saw Besh do it yesterday and look when Brock Bowers is going to get that kind of attention that he gets Besh again, we are only talking wide receiver fours. I don't get anybody too excited outside of Jaden Reed. But at Philly, at Houston doesn't look super enticing. But you're telling me that you wouldn't think about it against Houston If Besh went out and put up 80 and a touchdown against Philly next week, I think he'd at least be in the conversation to say, you know what, maybe he can overcome the Houston Texans matchup. Again, fearsome. But hey, the giants in week 17. That's the best part about it.
Joey P. Zappia
Well, look, at this point in the season too, it's also about picking up players so other teams can't have them.
Joe Fitz
So that is a really good point.
Joey P. Zappia
Well, where it's not just about guys that could help your roster, but looking at some of the injuries on the rosters of teams you're going to be playing in the playoffs, could this player help them? If so, I've got fab to spend and I've got bench spots that are open. Why not play a little blockage there? Any other bonus guys that are coming around your waiver wire this week?
Joe Fitz
Also speaking of that, I mean there's two right there. If you have somebody where the waivers are picked pretty thin at quarterback and play block with quarterback, I was in elite. You know this, Joe. I was in elite years and years and years ago where I didn't do the smart thing. And I was like, hey, you know what, I forget who the quarterback was. I was like, I have a top two option. I don't need to worry about it. And then the top two option got hurt. And you know who's left on waivers for me to pick from two quarterbacks, one of them being Johnny Manziel. And I did not win that playoff game because I had to go with Johnny. Yeah, shocking. But that's why I say Marcus Mariota with a Jaden Daniels injury. That was egregious. I can't say anything. Like all the words that I want to say, as you can see, are clogging up in my head because the commanders are malpractice in what they did yesterday and the fact that you should not have brought him back if he wasn't 100%. A lot of us in the industry went off the assumption that they're not bringing him back unless he was on the elbow, was 90 and he was close to 100%. What happened yesterday, that's like I said, that's egregious. So Marcus Mariota, go grab him. He has top 15 upside. He has the rushing ability. You want to play like you just said, block in case somebody loses their quarterback or heck, maybe you lose yours. And then with the Ravens backfield, not only had they lost Justice Hill already, they just lost Keaton Mitchell yesterday. And it could be, we don't know, but it could be the rest of this season. Rashina Lee had been sprinkling in with Mitchell behind him. And now if anything were to happen to Derek Henry, hopefully not. It is December and winter is here for him. If anything were to happen, Rasheena Lee would be the one to step up. Is probably somebody that'd be a low end RB2.
Joey P. Zappia
Yeah, Lee had a couple moments in that game too where he looked spry. Some good explosiveness there. So those are the names that Jake Seeley is looking at this week. And of course, if you need more names, you can always go to Waiver Central. Go to fantasypros.com myplaybook or just download the Fantasy Pros app. Use Waiver Central. It's never too late to use the tools and you're saying, oh, I made it this far. Yeah, it's the playoffs. I don't need the tools. No, you're wrong. You do need the tools. We all need the tools. They're there to help support you on your path to a championship. So even if you haven't started with the tools, you've just been watching the shows. Now's as good a time as any. Playoffs are on the line, so use Waiver Central to stop other people from getting players and get the right players on your squad and get rid of those jabronis that don't belong there anymore. Jake Seeley, always great to talk to you about the waiver wire and just hang out and who knows, I guess I'll see you next year. Like with Notre Dame. Is that how it goes? No. I'll see you next week. It's fine.
Joe Fitz
You'll see me on Monday after I see Cena's last match. So no Notre Dame, no Cena after Saturday.
Joey P. Zappia
Well, you can't see Jake Seeley, I guess, after all. That'll do it for us. But the story of the game goes on for Jake Seely. I'm Joey P. We'll see you next time, kids.
