So I am in a 12 man full PPR league. I'm not having a bit of a trouble because Bucky is injured. So currently I'm going to tell you, my team is Trevor Lawrence, Bian Robinson, Christian Yonkins, Jason Smejigba, Sekora McMillan, Tucker Kraft, Rico Doddle, Jake Bates and the Petrie's defense. Right now I'm in a bit of a dilemma because I don't know if I should play Rico Dowdle or not. I'm trying to place him in a flex spot, but I'm probably going to change him for Mike Evans who is expected to be, well, you know, recovering from the injury. So what do you think? Should I play Judkins, Bian and Dowdle or Judkins, Bian or Evans?

It's a good. That's, that's the tough one. I was just working on my ranks today, Erickson, and I just keep staring at Dowdle and like, I just want to keep pushing him higher, but Chuba back just. Yeah, I know there's a finger put going down here after those, those workers.

It's hard to not want to start him. You know, I, I mean, you got to start Mike Evans against the Lions. Yeah, I, I mean, if he's playing, he's good to go. Mike Evans, he knows how to come back from hamstring injuries. Like, because he gets a hamstring injury.

A lot of experience.

Yeah. So. So when. Yeah, I'm not really, I'm not really concerned about, oh, well, he's going to repo. It's like. No, like he misses like a month every year with the same hamstring injury, comes back balls out because he has to get to a thousand yards every single year and he's facing the Lions massive total. So unless there's like news with, oh, Hubbard's out completely or Evans, he's not going to play. Evans is playing on Monday night. So you do have that kind of factoring in here. So we might not have as much information, but based on everything right now, it looks like Evans is going to play. It looks like Hubbard's going to play. I would roll with Mike Evans.

We actually did a pretty extensive conversation. Ericson, myself and Pat Fitzmorris about Dart and Fields and all this negative Fields talk. Then it was like bringing in Jackson Dart and it was like, ooh, I don't feel too much better actually, now that I'm looking at it. I guess I do have Dart slightly higher, but it's both two defensive tough matchups. Okay, so you are Lawrence more.

I mean, Lawrence runs too. So like, I, I don't think. I mean, Dart has run more, but I don't think that the. It's like a. Oh, well, Dart's gonna clearly out produce him as a rusher. Both guys run. So I think that Lawrence has more weapons to work with. Yeah, the Rams secondary we know can be beat. Just a matter of can. Can Lawrence get a pass off? And even if he's only pressured on 50 of his drop backs, it means that 50 of the time he has time to throw. So you're just hoping he can get enough done. I just. The Denver spot, man, is so tough.

Where do you have dart again? Or did you do any update? Because I have. Oh, okay, good. Because I have him at 20 and I was like, am I. Did I go nuts? That's why I moved him.

Because the thing is, like, with these mobile quarterbacks, like, it does kind of make them somewhat matchup proof because if they just take off and run, it doesn't matter like what the defense is doing, but so you have to kind of respect them by putting them at a certain ranking. But if I'm like recommending picks this week, like, I just don't like Dart like he's probably not gonna be the one of you guys again if I have him already. It's like just playing whatever. He has a floor with the rushing, but I don't think it's a ceiling week from him. I do have to say though, I did like the abbey that we had from.

The lowest of that group, Rashi Rice is. And what do you have? The anticipation is killing me.

Yeah, I was leaning A.J. brown, but I wasn't sure what Ted again saw, so. And then the trade one, I. I kind of picked on the one in five guy, but I traded away Kyron and Pickens and I got Henry and Nico. Just wondering if that's a win loss or. What are we looking at there?

Kyron, Pickens, you got Henry and Nico. I like that. What do you.

Yeah, yeah.

I think Kyren and Henry cross cancel each other. I'll take Nico over Pickens, especially with Lamb coming back. I think that's a B plus trade.

Yeah, I think. Yeah. I think this is a well executed trade. The Pickens situation and look, he's a cell candidate. Just based on the fact that we don't know what it's going to look like when Mayo comes back with him. They've only played one game together. In that game, Pickens wasn't good. So. So like that matter again in week one. Now does this mean he's going to fall off the face of the earth? Probably not. Like Dallas offense is cooking, their defense is terrible. So he's still going to have his games here and there. But is it going to be to this level where he's wide receiver three? Probably not. So I think that this is a good of selling high because that's the things like, don't sell Pickens for, like, nothing, but, like, get Nico Collins back. That's a good deal. And then, like you said, the running backs are. Are pretty, like, cross cancel. So I think it's a good deal.

You know, what's interesting about that trade is, like, you know, usually we look at trades, and you got to find, like, the logic behind it, but it's like, you know, it's like, similar running backs, maybe similar wide receivers. The crux of that trade to me is the guy that is terrified of Derrick Henry, you know, because, like, you traded Kyron for Henry, it had to be that owner being like, oh, I'm done. So with Henry. And that pushed them to do it, because contextually, Derek Henry over Kyren Williams is easy and Nico over George Pickens is easy. But, like, that guy had to be absolutely terrified of Derek Henry. And I wonder how many people out there are like that right now or.

If he has a losing record, too. It's like, I got to move Henry. Henry's on a bye week this week. Like, I got. I need wins.

Hey, how's it going guys? I have a couple of questions. I kind of put my line up in the chat to make it a bit easier to follow along because we're running a free flex, like two running backs, two wide receivers. So a lot of guys in there. I am one in five because I keep having guys just unexplicitly give me like single digit points like AJ the first week. And it just carried on with that. My question is a fewfold things. I'm having a hard time getting traits to happen. I'm a bit nervous coming into this week because I'm like, you know, looking at sleeper, I'm like 46% chance win. I'm not sure if like I should drop fields and just hope and like trust Kayla to keep, keep things rolling so I can maybe see how those speculative guys play out with Evans coming back. That's my main question. And also just how would you guys handle this situation where you're kind of like you're stuck. Kind of like you just keep having guys not coming through for you. I'm trying. I feel like my thought process each week is solid, but it's just not like the guys are just randomly hitting. So I don't know if you like looking at my roster there. If you see some guys that you feel a bit safer in the flex box than others or. Sure.

That's like an insanity thing too. Like I had. I think it's in, I think it's in the. I just came back from it, so it took me like three weeks. But in the flex leagues, our mutual friend Jake Seeley does the industry leagues flex leagues and we do like, you know, whatever median and then you play somebody. I had the second most points scored in the league and I faced the third most points scored in the league and I was just struggling and then I just had three monster weeks and came back. It's a little different what you're saying, but my point is, is like that struggle because I look at your team and I'm like, this is great. Like he's starting, he's got Bijan, he's got Bill who's hit, he's got London, Tyler Warren. AJ Brown is a big sore, sore thumb on this team, which clearly looks out here. So to the first question, I'll just answer it because I think I can speak for Erickson. I think you're fine to cut fields when you activate Mike Evans. There's nothing you need to worry about there. You can roll out Caleb and it looks like there's probably some streaming options. When you look at like the roster construction though, flex, he's putting out Ken Walker, Jameson Williams, Wandell, you know this, it's. You would love for it to be a little bit tighter, but he hasn't gotten his production from Trayvon Henderson which would probably help. Is there an applicable thing here? You got a crap wide receiver to Anj Brown, you've got an underperforming, probably third round pick and Travion Henderson, like them's the breaks. But what would you do in this spot, Erickson?

I don't know because I really like the team overall. I think I see the boomer bust nature of some of these certain players that we kind of talked about. AJ Brown, Ken Walker, Jameson Williams. So a lot of guys that haven't really been super, super consistent but you know, I think it's just a bad string of luck, to be honest. I don't think there's really much you can do about. Well, I needed to play more consistently. Those just aren't those types of players and I don't think you're going to just be able to flip them for someone that's necessarily more consistent because a lot of times you just need one guy. I mean also you have Bijan and Drake, London like they were on a bye week last week. Yeah, right. So that's going to hurt you and two of like your two best players aren't on your team. So yeah, that's going to be. You're probably not going to win. So I think that your running backs I think are in a good spot. I like having Fields and Williams just, you know, they're two high upside quarterbacks. They both like to run. Obviously you can roll with Williams, but I think Fields and better matchups when he has Garrett Wilson back. Like, I mean he's been a top five fantasy quarterback but then who are.

You cutting when he has to activate Mike Evans? Because by the way Mike Evans will get to go and be his wide receiver too. AJ Brown can go probably be in the flex over Jameson Williams or Ken Walker, whatever. But who are you cutting? You have burden marks, Henderson, Goddard or Fields.

[Chris Welsh]

So what I would do here is I would trade your Eagles, AJ Brown, Dallas Goddard, like number one. Those guys are working against each other to help you because if Goddard does good, that means A.J. brown's probably doing bad and vice versa. You already have Tyler Warren. You don't need two tight ends. I don't think that you need to have two tight ends. You'll figure you can stream a guy during Warren's bye week, but you're never starting Dallas Goddard over Tyler Warren. So package those up to the Brock Bowers manager who needs a tight end. Hey, you want Dallas Goddard need a monster game? Take AJ Brown upgrade at receiver or running back so you can have a better flex play. I mean Jameson Williams, you could flex this week, match picking the bucks. That's a great spot for him. So that's how I would approach it. If he can't make a trade, then yes, Fields would be the guy that would have to hit waivers to make room for Evans.

I'm just worried that Worthy turns into the, you know, four target, three catch with an end around trying to get him going where she. Rice has eight catches. Travis Kelsey has seven catches. You have two stupid catches to juju some other random guy and two running back. You know, like I'm. I'm worried the phase out happens, but it's not like Michael Pittman has been the most the pillar of consistency. So hopefully we got you there. Just do one of those running backs. You got some good wide receiver options. I personally am kind of leaning Pittman is the wide receiver to start over. Worthy, that's where I go. I mean, you don't have good depth. You've got. I mean, no, Erickson thinks Pacheco is going to bounce back. Henderson never is ever getting going. If those guys got going, you all of a sudden just walked into great depth. And then I would. Then that's where I was going to say, like, maybe you could do like a Rico and a craft to try to get Evans in something. But you're also kind of lacking on some debt, so I'm not 100% sure that I'm there. Any other thoughts on that, Ericsson?

I do want to just bring back up the Pittman versus Worthy. I didn't think enough about the Josh Downs concussion, so I'm changing my answer.

Official, yeah. Because Downs probably isn't going to play, so that matters a lot because Pittman, like, his targets have kind of been up and down. Downs has led the team in targets like the last three weeks, but if he's out, the Colts hate Adonai Mitchell. Well, he put himself in the doghouse, so that's his fault. And then Alec Pierce is more of a field stretcher, so Pittman should be able to be the target leader and that would probably put him above Worthy, especially in half PPR where Pittman's also been a touchdown machine. So, yeah, I would change that answer.

So, yeah, like. Well, no, the first part of the question you should say, like, yes, that's not good. I'm a little bit worried, but versus the options you gave us. No, I'm not going to start like, I do like Matthew Golden. I'm a Golden. I'm a Golden Stan.

But I'm not going to start him over, Tez, because regardless of that matchup, I think you even talked about on the rank show about, I think it was versus man coverages, or maybe I'd say opposite versus man, like, Ted can do some stuff, so I would be worried, but you don't have an option that justifies going over Ted Roa.

[Chris Welsh]

Yeah, I think the thing to remember, with a lot of these strong cornerback matchups, I think it does matter stylistically who was the receiver actually going up against them. Like, if it's a I win with route running, I need to get open to catch passes. Like, yes, that's much tougher for those receivers to produce against the strong corners. But, you know, Tedro McMillan's not like gaining like five yards of separation against these. Any NFL cornerback, it's just not really his game. So it's gonna be more contested stuff and he can win those 50, 50 balls against Sauce Gardner. So not everyone you start every week is going to be like, oh, a total smash spot. But McMillan's had a high floor basically every single week. And even last week when he didn't see enough targets, he caught two touchdowns. So, yeah, he's the body of work. Has been too good to start him over. Fringier pieces like, Matthew golden has a good game and the coach says afterwards, yeah, well, we're not going to force feed him or anything. So, like, don't get carried away for, like, featuring our best players.

You were shaking your head as a yes. But when I hear Travis Hunter would be the end result, I don't know. I'm not sure that I'm doing that.

Yeah, I think I want to hold Travis Hunter. I. I still. I really don't have a good take on how I feel about how he's. Obviously it's been lackluster, disappointing. I guess it also depends on like, what your expectations were for Travis Hunter coming in the first couple weeks of the season. I mean, he's doing a lot for rookie. I mean, he's playing like more snaps than basically every other NFL player. It's just like a lot for a young player to. To handle. So obviously he's had flashes here and there. I think that it's going to get better though, or if they just commit to him on one side of the football or the other, like, that's not a thing too. So I think if it's Coker for Hunter, I would still rather have Hunter.

[Andrew Erickson]

I would also rather have Hunter there. People imagine like tuning into the podcast of this like old school Radio and like I get like, I like to talk about irreverent stuff, but I know there's some people just get super pissy about it. But imagine if this was radio and someone just tuned in and we're just like, listen, is toast bread. It's like NPR segment. I think it's important. These are important topics that we're talking about here.

I don't think Pearsall is going to play. He didn't practice, I think as of today. So if the decision were to come down to it and they said Pearsall is all good, I would play him. But I have borne as a top 30 wide receiver this week because I also think Mack is going to start again. Mack loves Kendrick Bourne. He's a beast. Even if I don't care about Jennings anymore, Pearsall would make it a problem plus Kittle. But I don't think Pearcell is going to play. And I think you agree.

Okay. Yeah, yeah. I think yeah, you should roll with Kendrick Bourne. I mean, what else we need to see from Mac Jones and Kendrick Bourne? It's just that's. That's his guy.

So I need, I need major upgrade there. He has for his running backs Henry Taylor and Cooks. Would you. Would you consider trading, you know, Dak or Drake for Henry or Cook?

Yep, absolutely. Whichever. I mean, I imagine Henry is probably the more likely one they're going to give up at this point, but I think Cook had two slow ones. So I would try to trade Away etn. If you can work out a deal to get for to move ETN to get Javonte Williams somehow, whether you're adding a piece like a Michael Carter, something like Jordan Mason, even like I. I love Javonte rest of season. I'm just not that as optimistic about etn. I think that they're valued probably pretty closely, so it might just take a little bit to like get that deal type of done. But yeah, besides that, I mean it's a pretty strong roster overall. You're getting Evans back, so. Yeah.

I mean, trade A.J. brown for Mike Evans.

Yeah, but I. I don't think you can do any of the trades you want to do. If you can do them, I think you should do them. I don't think you can trade Mike. I trade AJ Brown to get Mike Evans. I don't think you can trade AJ Brown to get a Buka. You definitely can't trade AJ Brown to get a buck even though he's hurt. So if you can do them, I'm in.

I think in a full ppr, shepherd might be more of a play because I think he has a better potential for receptions. But I think that it might be. I am minor there, just the big place potential, the red zone stuff. I don't know. What do you say? You're going to say Coker after I did all that?

No, I think that. I think the situation is probably just. I think Shepard has like the highest floor of those guys. I think they're all kind of fringy at best. I mean, even if Calvin really doesn't. I mean, Calvin really is not going to play. But like, what if they're just like, let's just stick Gonzalez on Iman Oren, he's basically erased from the game, right? What's the Titans office guy? I guess for me it's like, who do I want ancillary pieces of? Do I want ancillary pieces of Panthers, Jets. Not really fair. Patriots, Titans. Not really Lions. Bucks. Oh baby, like sign me up for just like anything in that game. So I think it is shepherd and if you look at ECR, Shepard is 38. It's like pretty high. So I, I would. I think Shepherd's probably the play. And it's also Bucks man. Like Bucksman comes on every single time and asks us questions about Bucks players. So I'm kind of, you know, it's a dynasty, but, you know, the star sequential question doesn't matter. But Brown has been just disappointing all year.

I mean I personally would be tempted to start Brown over or born over Brown if, if there's no pierasol. But I don't, if I could quite stomach it just because of the talent. I do have A.J. brown over him but if I was super worried. I do think Bourne provides a floor but like we know what the upside of Brown is and we're not. He's not favorable this week. So I would probably still tell you A.J. brown is the way to go. But I do think with no pure salt, Bourne is going to eat again this week.

Yeah. Right. I think it's still A.J. brown. I think that it is close. I would say that the Falcons defense is like really good. So that does matter. So like Bourne has smashed the last couple weeks. I think he can still be productive. But will he like go for over 100 yards like a third straight game? Like maybe that's. I know Welsh is like yes, 100% going over 100 yards.

No, I don't, I don't think it's any guarantee. Like this is a tougher defense.

Yeah, I think I'd still start AJ Brown.

So it is a dynasty question but I just need to know what, what is Kittle's value? Like I have Kincaid right now and the kiddo manager, it has Tyler Warren. So he's shopping Kittle. What do I do? Like do I trade for Kittle? I like trying to get rid of them. Yeah.

I mean they don't need them. I'll bet you they're just like they're wanting to have the high return. I just don't know if I'd want to do high return in a dynasty on a 30 plus year old injury prone tight end. I love him but I think it's kind of rental piece. So I'll bet you the cost is too high. And a dynasty.

[Chris Welsh]

I don't know man. Sometimes these tight ends just like I mean if you had bought Travis Kelce like four years ago when he was 31 or 32 years old, like that was like profit. Now I know they're not the same guy. Kittle is more injury prone I would say than Kelsey has been. But he's so efficient when he's on the field.

[Andrew Erickson]

Yeah.

So I mean a second round pick, rookie second round pick next year.

Yeah, that's what I was gonna say.

Kind of like what I was because. I mean, because I think you can get. You can always find young tight ends because most of them are bad. So it's really easy to like add youth to your team. But if you need production, Kittle is. That's all he does is produce. Just.
