Yeah, that's how you say that Zachary Ascent and see did it wrong. That's why I said, like, I know obviously jj, but the pronunciation of the last name was I knew I was going to screw up. So yay me. That's why I'm not invited and you are.
B
Yeah. No, that's not the reason why you weren't invited.
A
Yeah, there's a. There's a. There's a host of other reasons why I'm not invited.
B
Like just check out the Rank show. That's exactly ye.
A
He'll know exactly why.
B
You'll know why.
A
He doesn't even know who I am. Like there we could go through a litany of them being. That's just the tip of the iceberg, but good stuff. Erickson, how we doing?
B
Yeah, yeah, no good. Doing good. Week eight is already here. Can't believe it's already week eight.
A
Yeah.
B
Used to be this used to be like the halfway point because we used to only have, like, 16, 16 weeks. Now there's 17 or 18 weeks. Now there's be 16 game seasons. So it feels like it's flying by. Next thing we know, it's going to be Thanksgiving and we're going to be packing in five days of content into two days. So it's going to be a final push. It's still a marathon, and hopefully we can get you to the finish line.
A
You know what we're going to ask you, too.
B
No, I did not watch it. So next question.
A
All right, you know, I'm going to say you guys are the producers of this show because you create the content here. This is your job. Your job is to hound Ericsson into just being like, okay, I give up. So he watches Face Off. This is not my job. I am here to set the stage. You guys let Ericson know that you want Face off, but I know you guys also want some questions. Ericsson's like, talk about anything else. So we will. We have got maybe the biggest cue of the season, actually. We are going to be talking with all of our listeners. We do have a chat feature in here. I don't know how much we're going to get to the chat, though. I know a couple sneaky people have tagged me in it, so they're wanting their questions answered. But let's get to the chat. Let's kick this bad boy off here. Not to the chat. Let's get to our callers and let's go to Eloy. Eloy's in the house to kick us off. Do us. Right. Eloy, unmuted talking. Get to the stage. Do it.
B
Hi, man. What's up? So, 12th man, full PPR league. How are you doing? Are you doing okay, guys?
A
We're doing great. 12 man. PPR. What else?
B
Yeah, so I have a question here. I don't know. Who should I start? Flex. I have Golden. I have Tess Johnson and Troy Franklin, but I don't really know which should I start it.
A
Was it one or two?
B
Just one.
A
Okay. You just need to do one. Okay, so Tez, Troy Franklin, and I.
B
Don'T remember the other Matthew Golden. Matthew golden, guy that I would start. I would also suggest checking out the Rank show. We talked about Matthew Golden. We talked about Troy Franklin and Franklin. Yeah, More. More in depth. So Go check that out on the podcast feed. The wide receiver ranks think that both guys are pretty intriguing. I think Tez Johnson is probably the last guy for me, but I would. Yeah, I like Matthew Golden. I think this could be a breakout game for him against Steelers that just got destroyed by Joe Flacco.
A
So I always like Matthew golden, but I do feel like in that show again, go check it out. But I felt like we had an extended Troy Franklin conversation because there was some. There were some like high ranks of Troy. Because of the matchup. Because of the Cowboys matchup.
B
Yeah, I. I like both guy. I think I have them both inside my top 30 this week. Yeah, I think both have a lot of upside. Again, the matchup against Dallas is fantastic. Franklin got a ton of targets last week. He had 10 targets. Right. Usually we're. But he only had three catches, so it was not an efficient game from Troy Franklin. That's kind of been his season and really up and down. But I do lean Golden. I think he's just obviously the better player and I think both matchups are good.
A
Chinzer. Chinzer's in the house. Hollow Knight, unite. Activate.
B
I think this Erickson watching Face off is the Hollow Knight of this season.
A
It is.
B
You're right.
A
You're right. Last season I could never. People didn't listen to this show. Chenzer would come on here and I could never remember because the Hollow Knight character looks like Jack Skellington with horns. Yeah, definitely 100% looks like with the whole spit. But I couldn't figure it out. And you're right, this year is Face off, so who knows what will come next year. So what do we got, Trenzer?
B
All right, btj, What's a boy to do with the wide receiver that doesn't produce? I want to try to trade him. Probably not. Probably after the bye week. I will, but I prefer a running back. I've kind of looked at some of the ranks for rest of season, but what. What do you think would be a fair deal to try to just trade BTJ for a running back or I guess a wide receiver if need be.
A
Erickson, what's a boy to do with BTJ and nothing else in hand.
B
The trade you make is BTJ for Chase Brown, especially this week. I mean, the jets have a decent run defense, so we'll see how Chase Brown does. I don't know if he's going to get 100 rushing yards again, so. But that's the move I would make now, if you can do it. I've been Sending out Chase Brown offers. He was my tr. He was my buy low running back target and not really a buy low because he's coming off 100 yard game. But I think he's probably the guy that hasn't like gone nuclear with Joe Flacco. So I think that there is some type of buying and he's obviously been disappointing for the majority of the season, similar to Brian Thomas Jr. You know, even if we just like went back to the draft season, Chase Brown and Brian Thomas Jr. Were probably closely ranked. It doesn't really feel like that bad of a trade now that both their values have been severely suppressed. So that's the type of player that I would be going after with Brian Thomas Jr.
A
I love that. I really, really do. I think there's still this like small element of like could Brian Thomas rebound? Like he doesn't have his original value but there's like teens value and Chase Brown only has one game. I. I think that's the perfect one. Other names you might be able to get Rico because Chuba came in and kind of screwed up the situation and if you think he can kind of come out from this, like maybe Rico would be one. But I think Chase is a really good one. Great answer. Good answer. All right. The ageless wonder up on the line. What's up?
B
You guys hear me here?
A
You great man.
B
Hey, how you guys doing?
A
We are doing pretty damn good. How are you doing?
B
I'm doing wonderful. Wonderful. Can't complain.
A
So you don't have injuries on your fantasy team is what you're saying?
B
Man, I have injuries up the yin yang. I lost my quarterback. I lost my quarterback who I had burrow and then I picked up Bryce Young and I lost him. So right now I'm. I got Wince and Mac Jones. So right now, you know, I'm kind of debating on who to start there. But I'm also needing running backs. So my running backs are Walker, Henderson, Gainwell. I picked up Knight, but I'm trying to see what I can do in trade. You know, if I can trade Jay Jetta, I'd be losing a wide receiver, but I'd be gaining if I do a trade. I know a team offered me Williams, Williams, Robinson, Wandell and Addison. I don't know if I do that trade or not.
A
Yeah, they're trying to under. I mean it's good depth but that's definitely like, hey, would you like these pieces that I don't really start a whole bunch. Like I'll give you Javante, but then I'll give you these wide receivers. I got to tell you that's okay for depth. I just don't like it because JJ is just clearly the best player in that trade. So I'm really not about that trade. Eric. So you seemed a little bit more interested.
B
Well, I like the Javante piece.
A
Yeah, I like Javante too. But is that enough for Jefferson?
B
Well, it's Javante plus other things that you can use. Can he not. It's depth but it's not like crap. I mean Addison's been pretty solid. I know that he's someone that's obviously your concern. But then there's also the concern about with Jefferson. I mean I like to think that it's going to be okay when McCarthy comes back. I'd like to be optimistic. I'm also terrible at evaluating what receivers do when the quarterback changes. Just it's been my. One of my biggest blind spots but it's usually when the backup comes in I'm wrong and now they're putting the starter back in so maybe I'll be right about something for once when it comes to these backup or changing at the quarterback. So I think for me it's just like I know what I'm getting out of Javante and he's a top 10 running back rest of season. Whereas everything else, there's a lot of question marks around it. So if you really need running back and we, we talked about this, which I think on the rank show where if you want to trade a receiver for a running back, you have to trade a receiver in a higher tier to get a running back because of the scarcity of the position. So if that's the return I think, I mean I would say maybe you could shoot higher for like a Derek Henry. Like that would be the other running back I would try to look for. He's got favorable matchups. Lamar is still like up and down. Is he going to play? Is he not going to play? And he's. Derek Henry's obviously been disappointing from the majority of the season. So I think those are some deals.
A
You know my problem is it's not Javante. It's giving me Wanda and Addison. Like if you. If it could be Javante and Waddle or Javante and DK or something like that. Now we're talking. That's more of what I want than taking Java. I have no issue with Javante and you. Right. We, we've been hitting this a lot that unfortunately the high end RB costs a tear up at wide receiver. I would just press if I could maybe get some better wide receivers. I would also say, by the way, Mack on the starting quarterback. Mac over wins. Mac. Mac maybe because he will start. Yeah, I think he's going to start. Rock Purdy's never starting again. He's just. He's perpetually unquestionable. Ricky Piersall doesn't practice. Brock Purdy just runs around. He never plays. It'll be Mac Jones for eternity. It's. It's limbo.
B
When's there. When's their bi week?
A
Not soon enough. Not soon enough. It's not. It's not this week.
B
This week and that's all that matters.
A
Yeah, it's not this week. It's crazy.
B
I mean the bi week yesterday, dude.
A
Like, this is how crazy it is. Ricky Piero saw came back quicker from whatever his current issue is when he got shot than where he is right now. Like, it's crazy. It's crazy. What's going on with them. God bless Ricky Pierasol. Brock Purdy is never going to play again for week 14 by. Thank you, Dev for putting that out there. But Mac Jones is going to be the starter because that's all he does.
B
Might as well be 20, 26.
A
Move on. How is that team 5 and 2, by the way? It's the biggest messy 5 and 2 team on the planet.
B
I mean, this is the classic case of they have a very, very easy schedule. Not to say that they don't get credit for their wins that they have, but the 49ers have and we knew this preseason. Right. Same thing with the Patriots. Like, they have this really easy schedule. So don't be surprised whenever. Oh, it's another cupcake matchup this week for the patriots or the 49ers because they had an easy schedule coming in.
A
So are you wince or Mac?
B
Just think that I am also Mac.
A
Okay, just assume. Mac.
B
I just like, I just wasn't sure if he was playing. Like, that's my only. Again, assuming. If you can just flip flop Mac Jones for Brock Purdy, assuming that he's available to them, then I would. I, I would rather play the 49ers quarterback.
A
But also. Yeah, my main point is, like, if Mac doesn't start. You got your answer. Just Carson wins.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. All right. Catalyst.
B
He played. Yes, he played yesterday though, so. Hey, guys.
A
Oh, he did play yesterday. You're right. I screwed up the thing. What's up? We're doing good, Catalyst. Except I just broke the Thursday night rule by talking. So what's up?
B
Can you guys help me out with the dynasty issue.
A
Yeah. What you got?
B
Sure. Okay. So as I'm just like trying to wait for Henderson to pop. He has still not and it's really hurting me because I just lost this week and went from first to fourth. My current running back room is Henderson, Scat Irving, Marks and Spears. As far as my bible starters I.
A
Just wanted to know if I should.
B
Consider like selling him because I know a losing team that has Henry so try to like do it for my wouldn't now move or should I just.
A
Hold on Henderson for a year and.
B
Just try buying another running back with.
A
Picks Erickson shaking his head what were the starters against Scatterboo and what was like the other viable starter?
B
Yeah Scatter Boo Irving, Marks and Spears.
A
Okay so. Well okay so Irving those other not viable. So you've got Irving and Scatter Boo and Erickson you vehemently were shaking your head. You do not want to buy on the aging Derek Henry which I agree with here. That's this that's a tough situation because I preach win now but Derek Henry looks his age this year a bit more and it's really tough to be to think of trading a guy who is one of the most talented backs who just can't get going in travion. I couldn't do that either.
B
You gotta it's dynasty guys. You gotta be patient. It's been seven games for a rookie running back. What a Bucky Irving do through seven games last year. It's not like he's the first rookie running back to struggle in the first half of the season. Now again we obviously expected a lot more out of the gates from Henderson. He's obviously been a major bust but you're still playing the long term. If this was redraft be totally different conversation. So I'm glad that they were very much on hey this is dynasty conversation. I just. I think this is bad process. If you do this nine times out of ten you're going to regret it a year from now when we're talking about Henderson versus Derrick Henry and that's my only pushback on. You can't jump off the bandwagon this quickly with a a running back who especially after last week where like even before last week's game like he was still seeing double digit touches every single week in the Patriots offense. It just last week was just Ramandre got going. That's all they wanted to feature. You had variable talking up Jennings the the third string or four string running back as their five minute back. So it was just Kind of a cumulation of worst case scenario outcome for Henderson. I guarantee he's back up to close to double digit touches this week. Is he going to pop one? He hasn't, hasn't done that yet, so I don't know if that's going to happen, especially against the Browns. They're really good run defense so he may not fire this week but I think the usage will probably uptick. So I think you still got to be patient.
A
Agreed. By the way, shout out to you guys, this is hands down the biggest queue we've had of people hanging in here and I feel bad because it's a slightly, slightly less show and we've got people in the chat. So if you guys will try to get back to the chat at least after the show. Regards, but we got lots of people who want to get their voices on the podcast and Matty Ships is next up. What's up Maddie?
B
Hey guys. I'll try to make it quick. I know we got a lot but two running back outlook questions. Very different ends of the spectrum. Trey Benson, I know he's got the meniscus but feels very Rashid Rice to me where like if we don't kind of get in around now. Not talent wise, Andrew, not talent wise but like more like the closer you kind of get to his return, the less likely you the owner is to kind of trade them. So I don't know if this is kind of the time to maybe look at that or just avoid them in general. And then the other running back outlook is Breece.
A
I know he's got a good matchup this week.
B
He's good at football and Tyrod's in but like even if he pops, he's got to buy next week, then the Browns and then I feel like people are assuming he's going to get traded but if he doesn't or we go with the assumption that he's not going to get traded, like is he more of a sell candidate than a buy candidate?
A
Okay, let's start with. That was a great, great question, Matty. First one. Go.
B
Trey Benson is.
A
Thank you. I forgot who it was. I forgot completely what it was.
B
He's this in theory type of player where we don't even know what he's going to do if he's the starting running back. He played one game, it was a tough matchup and he wasn't good. Then he immediately got hurt. He got hurt last year too. So it's just really frustrating with him because what are we actually expecting when he does come back Is he actually going to be the guy for the Cardinals?
A
What's the current timeline of his return?
B
So I think that he's coming back in November, I believe was the timetable for his meniscus. Again, it's also a pretty severe injury, which also concerns me. For a player that relies on explosiveness and juice, how explosive is he going to be? What's the timeshare going to look like? I think with both these players, to be honest, it's really price dependent. Right. I could see a scenario where it's worth buying low on Breece hall because he's facing the Bengals this week and that's a good matchup and there is a chance he gets traded to a contender or someone that actually needs a running back. And he's a really talented guy, but at the same time, if someone's going to overpay for him, there's also a lot of risks associated being a Jets running back. And what if he doesn't get traded? So I think it's a matter of what's the price on this player. So either sending out offers or putting them on the block to get an idea of what the price is on these certain players. So same thing with Benson too. If people are valuing like him, like he's going to come back and just be the guy, then yeah, I, I would maybe try to sell high on that. But I've seen leagues where he's on the waiver wire because no one knows really what to expect. So in those leagues he's valued obviously significantly less. So again, if it's like, if you just want to put the two together, I would probably take Breeze just because he's the healthier running back right now, although he's also kind of banged up. But those are kind of my takes on those two guys. I don't, I don't think it's a definitive sell or sell or buy in a vacuum. I think it is really more about price. I don't know how you feel, Welsh.
A
I just don't think. I think Breece is a great sell right now. He hasn't popped off. I don't think the potential trade market boosts his value. But what I do feel is wherever he is, he's the guy. Now that could just be bad if it's the jets and it just never works. But I feel, and I feel like if a team is to buy him, it's a team that is in a running back needy situation that knows he's coming off the books. It would be like the Chargers you know, the Chargers buying him if the Cardinals were competitive. It's funny, three of the four teams in the NFC west are five and two and the Cardinals are two and five. So they're not. But it would be, it'd be a team that is needy of running back instead of putting him in a committee. So I feel like hall just has better value than the trade market. So I want to be in on that. And Benson, I'm kind of indifferent about like do I want to buy a running back that's like a month away and something could happen? And this. Why would this team rush them if they've got two wins in mid November? Maybe he comes back in December. I just don't know if I would trade any equity for. I'm interested. I'll get Benson if it doesn't cost me a lot. But I'm more interested in Breeze Hall.
B
Yeah, I like that.
A
Boom. All right, there we go.
B
Look at us.
A
Baby Billy. Baby Billy. Bible Bonker. Hello. Hello.
B
Hey guys. What's up for that quick comment? Would you. I doubt it'll ever happen, but would you trade Kyler Murray to the jets for Breeze Hall?
A
Are you talking like in fantasy or are you thinking this is like a real life thing?
B
In real life?
A
I'll tell you this because most of you guys know because I live in here in Arizona and I used to work for the sports. A couple of the sports stations out here and I never listen to sports radio anymore because I just. It's insufferable. And I was, I just happened to have it on and they were talking about Kyler Murray and that was like the big, the affiliate sports station out here and a friend of mine on, and they're talking about Kyler. And what I'm getting at is when they start talking. This is the flagship. When they start talking about Kyler Murray not being on the team, it's actually something to pay attention to because they're getting force fed stuff from the team and the officials. And there was a legitimate conversation about like Kyler actually could get benched this year and they could be done with him. But the narrative around it was there's no chance that Kyler's going anywhere this year, that they would take going into the draft next year with Kyler bringing in and creating that competition. So I get what you're doing. You're saying, but Breece is a free agent. Running backs have no value in markets anymore. This is still a franchise quarterback. He's also got tons of money attached. So in real life, there's probably a negative percent chance that that would happen but I like the logic of it and and the Cardinals people out here. It is nothing but negative on Kyla right now like legitimate like Jacoby could be handed the job if when Kyler's back things get bad. So sorry that I just happened. You just happened to hit on something I was just like thinking about going through the other day. Yeah, it was a good question.
B
Yeah it was just a quick talk but my fantasy question which I might regret so I want to get your guys reaction because it's already done.
A
I traded CD Lam and Bill for.
B
Barkley and Chris Olave. Don't know if I'll regret that but I am really dying at running back so I needed to make a move.
A
What do you think? I cringe when I heard CD Lamb was getting moved. Not sure Barkley's the guy. I'm actively going out there especially if I'm selling cd but I still think the Eagles are going to retread back into the running game and but I just don't know if Barkley is going to be more than a top 10 RB right now and I think CD just vaulted himself back into top 5. The other side of it a lave bill I guess maybe a slight lean to a la. I don't know. I think this is a pretty this is like a C plus B minus trade for need. I think CD is my favorite player in there so that's why I kind of like don't love love. But Erickson, what do you think falling.
B
Victim to the marketplace here with you have to pay away a better wide receiver to get a running back like we said. Yeah, I just. But I don't want to trade for Barkley. Everything has been bad this year for him. He's not ripping off the explosive runs and look, maybe he gets going a little bit. He's facing the Giants again this week. I mean it wasn't great though. I mean he wasn't great the last time faced the Giants, but it was still better than most of his games. So maybe he does pop one off. They are playing at home this time around and not in New York. But I don't think we should be chasing Barkley from what he did last year. I don't think that that player is or that special type of season is going to happen again for the Eagles. It just it was a special year for him. Rushed for 2,000 yards and it's just really why it's hard to repeat.
A
You know we should give some extra credit to Erickson, because I had not thought about this till this moment. Erickson has avoided. Or maybe he's just such a great person. Not victory lapped. How aggressively low he was ranking Saquon Barkley. I would be like, all right, Erickson, what are you doing, Bogman? What are you doing? Even. I mean, PCP was all. All of us were like, yeah, yeah, maybe he's not going to repeat. Like, I had Jameer Gibbs over Barkley, so. And that was like a little bit of like a take, but not really, but Erickson was sitting here just be unapologetically like, here's this thing. Yes, Barkley was great. I'm not having him in my top six or seven. You were taking crap, but you have also not poked the bear any at all and taken any of your little victory laps when he does barely looks like he's not. He's not performing as a top 10 running back. So flowers to you, my friend, for not doing that. And hopefully maybe I just activated Saquon Barkley by giving you those flowers, and now he goes absolutely berserk. One of those things are happening, but you deserve some. Some credit there, man. Your take was great. And you also haven't been like, me, me, me, me, me.
B
Yeah, no. Well, I really appreciate that, Welsh. I try. Try my best with some of these takes that I have in the process. But like you said, season's not over yet, so there's always a chance that you could turn it on. So that's also why I try to just kind of let the season play out before I have any over the shoulder type of. Okay, this is what I was right about. This is what I was wrong about. And the thing is with me, I'm just so occupied with everything I got wrong. Like, that's like, that's like, where my mental focus is, is, why did I miss on Jay? Like, why was I higher on jsn? Like, why was I not pounding the table for J? Not necessarily, like, being lower. I think I was, like, right in line with consensus. But, like, where did I miss with, like, Jason? Like, should I have been more aware about Brian Thomas Jr. Like, with. With Trevor Lawrence? Like, that's where really I'm more focused on is the Mrs. Because again, like, you get some things right, but I'm really focused on trying to not get things wrong and drive people in the wrong direction when it comes to that.
A
The whole world of, like, everybody wants everybody be accountable and, like, the word accountability and like, this space gets so kind of misused. Like, oh, this person avoids it and this doesn't. And this account only focuses on it. Like, yeah, all those things are just like floating out there. But like, this is how it should be, though. Like, you're not asking for all the credit. And then you have your very well respected, very handsome co host give you your flowers when need be and you not ask for them. You're very smart, intelligent, handsome co host. Okay, that's all we were waiting for. All right. 3:36. Okie. It just. It was a good take. It was a good. It's a really good take. And I was like. I was always, like, poking at you about it too, so you deserve it, man. What's up, hokey? Hey, guys. How's it going? Good, dude. Got four questions. I dropped my team in the chat. I want to start by saying, though, as a Garrett Wilson owner and fellow hooky Tyrod Taylor to the moon. So excited. Quarterback.
B
Killing me.
A
So quick start sense for this weekend. I've got Prescott and Knicks. I was been riding Prescott, but the rankings are telling me Nick's a little higher. What do you guys think? Quarterback show. Not to do that thing again, but we talked about this extensively. But I think as a quick answer, Eric's and I were both Prescott in this one. Correct.
B
No, I'm on it. I'm on Nicks.
A
Never mind.
B
Look, I think. I don't. It's one of those situations where I don't. I don't think you're gonna. I don't think you're gonna pick the wrong. I mean, they're both gonna do well. Yeah.
A
So to me, yeah, sorry. To me, Nick's is a little like, it's not the same. So don't say I'm doing this, but it's a little like, oh, my God, Fields is playing Carolina and everyone's like, who's the fifth best quarter? And it's like, no, like Knicks is fine. I love the matchup. Yes. But I'm still not 100% there. All right, number two. So found myself in a unique situation this year. In years past, I've been looking at my team saying this is better than my record. This year, it's the opposite. I'm 6 and 1. I look at my team and I see some weaknesses. Now, obviously, I've been riding Dak and JT thus far at running back. We got. So for this, for this coming weekend, playing Jonathan Taylor, Rashad White, and I've got Mason and Chris Brown sort of feels from the rank, he's like a toss up which way Would you guys. Lane, not Chris Brown, but where are you at on Chase Brown?
B
I like Chase Brown as a start this week. He's gonna, you know, he's facing the Jets. He should have a positive game script. So, yeah, I think he's fine.
A
Chase Brown over Chris Brown. Yeah, definitely.
B
I'm.
A
Yeah, I'm definitely, unfortunately, having to play that in the flex because my wide receiver situation is quite bad. Thomas and Hunter on the buy. Wilson hurt, Mooney hurt, Parasol hurt. So it's looking like Rasheed and Mooney at this point, but we've got the. The sub feature activated in Sleeper. So if, let's say Wilson and Pierasol were to play, would you guys play those guys over either Shahid or Monique? Absolutely.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
Without question.
B
Yeah.
A
Put Wilson and Pierce all in his primary and put Shahida money behind him as subs. If they don't play, I'll tell you, I don't feel good. Pierce all didn't practice again, so I wouldn't put too many hopes on that. But yeah, Wilson, maybe Pierce all I would say is like almost affirmatively out, but yes, that would be the good call. All right, we're on the last one. That's it. That was sucking into one, so I think. I think I'll let somebody else get on stage since you have such a line. Appreciate it. We appreciate you, brother. Absolutely good people out there. Look at that. God, we. We still do have a crazy one. All right, we do have that, but let's do a little bit of ad time. That commercial is going to get super tired quick.
B
You know whose idea it was to get you on the autopilot was that you see I was like there's no one that can relate to this more than someone that lives on the West Coast.
A
Yeah. And. And I. And I wrote that ad. And. And so there's the. The genesis of it. It started with Erickson, then I wrote it, and then Callie did some great production on it, and I wrote it literally around the. I got Jaylen. I legit got Jalen Warren because I didn't have it set up. So very, very. It's. I think it's a fun ad, but, like, I completely acknowledge you guys are going to get sick of it in, like, a week because you'll see me doing the same shtick and you'll be like, shut up. But thank you, Erickson. My man. My man. All right, Ronin Ronan's up. Back on with our peeps. What's up, dude?
B
How are we doing, gentlemen? We are great.
A
How are you doing?
B
I'm a. I'm a Mike Evans guy, so not that great.
A
Not great.
B
Yeah.
A
Sorry. Condolences.
B
Thanks. So currently I've got Armageddon problems like everyone else. I picked up Juwan Jennings and Josh Reynolds, but quite frankly, they're all Darth Rose. Would you consider starting any of the tight ends like Gatson, Pitts, or Otten over one of those two, or even take a shot on Alex Pierce or Mooney?
A
So Gadson and Pitts are actually, like, flexible over Reynolds for sure. And the answer is yes. I don't know about Jennings. Mack all of a sudden learned that Juan Jennings existed last week. He's like, oh, hey, guy, and he just started throwing them the ball. But it was also a very specific, like, Christian McCaffrey game. I'm really torn on that. I don't know. What do you think about that? Let's rank them. Juwan Jennings, Gadsden and Kyle Pitts. How would you rank them for flex?
B
I think I'd probably just play Gadson. Yeah, he's got a high, high upside. And I think that the tight ends. This weekend, National Tight ends day is on Sunday. A lot of tight ends in the flex might work out.
A
Did you see this? It's like, my favorite story. And this. I think Jamie Eisenberg is the one that shared this. So I want to give him credit. Hopefully I'm giving credit to the right person. But did you see. He must have been listening to some local radio. Aranda Gadsden Senior, remember the former running back? He was on some radio station and he was talking with these hosts, and he said he had benched his son in fantasy football for the last two weeks and is now going to Keep him there because of superstition. Because Gadsden has gone off and started going the last two weeks. So his dad will not start his son just because he's going off. And it was like, the world is right. Like, that's all that we need here. We. I love this acknowledgment. So shout out to around a Gadsden senior for doing it the hard work of benching his son in fantasy when.
B
He'S going off or Gadsden Jr. Told him, yeah, I'm not in the game plan this week. So like, don't start me. It's like low key, man.
A
Like insider. There's a lot of insider stuff going on right now that's not great. This isn't the NBA or anything like that. And it is fantasy, but that's okay. All right. I just love that story. And by the way, I'm so stupid. The whole time with Oranda Gadson, like junior, I just kept sitting on it and I was just like, yeah, that name. That name. And then last week it clicked. I'm like. I was like, wasn't running Gadsden the running back for the Dolphins. And it just clicked with me last week.
B
You didn't. You didn't know that? That they were related?
A
It wasn't that I didn't know that they were related. Nothing clicked in my head. Like Arande Gadson. I'm like, that name is super familiar. And then it just clicked and I knew instantly. I was like, that's the running back that was with the Dolphins, right? That's his dad. And I think it was Bogman. He was like, yeah.
B
I was like, oh.
A
I like, I thought I discovered something. I did not discover anything. Everybody else knew this, but it never clicked with me. I clicked Lando. I don't know if he's Calrissian, but Lando's not coming up on this. Oh. Oh. I thought I almost got rid of you, Lando. I think I just got rid of somebody at the top of the chat. So if I just got rid of you re push it and I'll put you up. I'm sorry. What's up, Lando?
B
Sorry, I didn't see you. You brought me in. How we doing, fellas? Two. Two questions. I think the first one should be quick. I'm curious on your outlook on Mark Andrews vs Likely for the rest of the season. And then my second question is, I have both Craft and kittle in a 10 man league and it's killing me having both to decide who I'm starting On a weekly basis. I threw my team in the chat, but I feel like I'm kind of chilling on wide receivers, but maybe could use a running back. Okay. Maybe quarterback.
A
All right, so it's Kittle versus Kraft, and then it was Andrews versus likely.
B
Rest of season likely over Andrews. I want no part of Mark Andrews.
A
Well, I think it could be close, but I also agree with you. And then which side would you go for? Kraft or Kittle rest of season?
B
I love craft and I would just trade Kittle after he scores three touchdowns this week.
A
You will start. Yeah. You're 100. I like that. To the moon.
B
You know who's in the player. You know the one thing I put in the player prop sheet already? George Cattle. Anytime. Touchdown.
A
Did you all right?
B
Yeah.
A
I felt I was kind of stinky last week. I'm disappointed. You were pretty good. You got. This is the second week this season you've hit both your touchdown calls. So Smash.
B
It's been like a surprisingly really good touch. Like the other. The normal props are just kind of meh. But the touchdowns have been pretty.
A
You've been sick.
B
It's kind of weird.
A
You've been sick with your touchdown calls. Betting pros go and check that prop show out. I think two weeks ago, I had like a four and one week, and then I had a three and two. This week I was two and three. So I'm kind of disappointed with myself going into that show. Still over 500. But Erickson has got the touchdown calls like, like a madman. So he's going off. So make sure you check that out on betting pros for your props this week. Bryce, Bryce. Bryce, tops. Yes, I. Sorry. And I exited you when we brought on Lando. What's up, dude?
B
Yeah, no problem. Hey. Hey, guys. So I have two questions. I'll try to make it quick because.
A
I know there's a lot of people.
B
Both of them are flex questions. First one. Mason or Swift?
A
Mason for me. Erickson looking at his ranks.
B
Tough because I haven't really recalibrated what Aaron Jones is gonna do. See, the thing is, like, I'd like to know more about what Aaron Jones's role is. This is also a Thursday night game that we're not supposed to be talking about either. I did it again. I mean, I think I'm going swift. It's close enough. I mean, I have them ranked back to back, but I probably have to move Mason down because Aaron Jones is going to play because I didn't know that that was going to be the case.
A
Oh yeah, that's true.
B
So because here's the thing like if the Vikings fall behind then who's is Mason even in the game? Right? Like that matters. Again, I don't know if Aaron goes gonna be on a pitch count. So like Swift, he's a three down skill set. He's looked good the last couple weeks and usually I'm like anti Swift guy. Like, like I like I'm usually not high on Swifty. He's played. I'm not not Swifty. Guilty as charged. But he has looked a lot better. It is a good matchup and he has involvement. So even if the Ravens are smoking the Bears, you know he's catching passes from Caleb Williams most likely. So I think I do actually lean Williams. Thank you. Yeah.
A
So and then on one of my.
B
Other teams, another flex question. It's between Swift, Metcalf and Dowd.
A
All right. This Thursday night questions I would go Metcalf.
B
So one of them. Yeah, I'd probably go Metcalf that go Swift cast. The packers secondary is not good. So yeah give me not good. A little little stinky.
A
My I'm like so obsessive about Tim Robinson. I don't even know if you know who Tim Robinson is. Just and everything he does. The chair company is like it's absolutely one of my favorite shows now just in his voice is in my head and it's just anytime you're like he's not good, like it's just all I hear some people get that. Some don't care. Twitch, you will care about this. Out of bounds myself, Bogman Joe Pizzapia on Twitch 2pm Eastern every Monday. Come and hang out. Be a part of the post week antics where we're talking about everything and answering your questions and guess what? But we got tons more on Twitch for you. Bogman and I on Tuesdays at 12pm Eastern. Not only are we answering questions for an hour, we take another hour playing Madden of the coming week matchup and we answer more fantasy questions. Seth and Dbro got you Thursdays and Fridays at 1 and 2pm Eastern. And Sundays we got a football Q and A at noon Eastern before everything kicks off. So head on over to Twitch TV FantasyPros. Give us a follow. Don't miss any streams and hang with us live just like we're doing here on Discord. All right.
B
All right.
A
We are in about a 10ish minute warning so let's attempt to do lightning round. And I know that'll be tough for some of you but so we can get as Many questions if we can keep it to one or who'd you Rathers? That would be the way to go. Taunt, you are first up. Let's try to do a lightning round here. Every time I do that, by the way, the person doesn't come up. So shout out to Taunt for coming up. What's up?
B
Hey, guys, can you hear me okay?
A
Yep.
B
Yeah. Awesome. So since I played QJ last night and he's locked to my roster, I have a flex question between Romeo Dobbs or Jalen Waddle. I just don't know that I can trust Waddle again after looking at the disaster last night.
A
But I know you guys are really.
B
High on Matthew golden instead of Dobbs, so I just wanted to get your input on that.
A
Great question.
B
Waddle.
A
Waddle. It is playing.
B
They're playing in a dome this week. They're not on. The outdoors in Cleveland is always gonna be a bad spot for Miami. He's indoors, actually. The first game I heard this on a show. It's the first game the two has played since that national championship game. Indoors, not indoors, but at the Atlanta. What is it? The Mercedes Benz.
A
Whatever it's called. Not a big stadium name guy, by the way. Like, I know there's people that are like, hardcore about it. Not me.
B
Well, it's because they changed them all. Because now they're all. I know, like ads, essentially.
A
Yeah, it's like cool names. Yeah. The Cardinals just did it. They're a brand new deal. It's now like the Phoenix Stadium. You're okay, great, you know, like, cool. You got your $10 million, so. All right, IDevo, what's up?
B
Hey. I sat A.J. brown last week, so I'm gonna probably be him for Halloween. My team is solid. I'm looking to hopefully upgrade on tight end. I would be giving up AJ Brown and Xavier Worthy and I get Bowers and Jalen Waddle. Would you make that trade or just sit on my pieces? Right now my tight ends are Hawk and then I have Mason Taylor. I think I'm holding AJ Brown and Worthy get Waddle back and Bowers, Worthy.
A
And Waddle can cross cancel each other. Is A.J.
B
Brown for Bowers Worthy and Waddle can cross Waddles. I think Waddle's way better than Worthy.
A
Yeah. If you. Oh. If you want to give Waddle like a little bit more, well, okay. But he has two as a quarterback. Like, that offense stinks.
B
Okay. Okay. Like, it's been bad all year and Waddle has had mostly good games without Terry Kill, except For last week when it was at the Cleveland Browns. So I think I should get waddle.
A
I'll give you waddle. Fine.
B
Well, I know. I just think waddle is a. If you could trade worthy for Waddle straight up, you would do that, right?
A
Yeah, I would do that. I would do that.
B
So I think that's an upgrade. Obviously, the risk is the Bowers Brown thing, right? Brown is very boomer bust. He has big games within. His games really disappears. And Brock Bowers is kind of like this black box where he's hurt. The Raiders are bad, but if he comes back and looks like the guy that was healthy, they trade you Kobe Myers. And he sees 15 targets a game because the team is losing by three touchdowns. And Kenny Pickett is this revelation if he takes over Regino Smith. So feel like you're writing this optimistic story about how Brock Bowers works out? Man, I don't know. I think. I think maybe I would take the risk. It's definitely a risky move. But I think that if you're trying to capitalize on A.J. brown, I think going after a guy like Bowers is probably a decent return. And I like waddle more than worthy. So if you really want to upgrade tight end, I think this is probably. Would you rather have Browers or Kittle? Maybe just another. Another way to angle it Bowers slightly.
A
I just want Bowers to be healthy and out there. That's like what I want most Morning.
B
But like, theoretically should be. Because the thing with like, I don't want to write off Bowers totally because I did this with Puka last year after he got hurt after week one, I thought, man, it's over. He's. And then he comes back. Remember there's that Thursday game where I was like, he's gonna be injured. He has like 200 receiving yards. It's like an absolute monster. So, yeah, Bowers has the bi week to get healthy. So, yeah, I think. I think I'd pull the trigger.
A
Father Man. Lightning round. Lightning round. What's up, Father man?
B
What's going on, guys? How you doing today? What's up, dude?
A
What do you got?
B
I got a running back question and the flex question. The 14 team guillotine. So it's got three running backs, three wide receivers, and two flex. So it's a pretty big lineup. My running back, I gotta start either Bill or Manon guy. And the receiving. The flex question. I've got it. Do either Tez Johnson or the other one.
A
The other one.
B
Well, I'm going with Bill over it's. Okay.
A
You can hit us up with it. I'm gonna go Bill too. And I feel like it's going to be Tez because you didn't know who the other guy was unless the other guy.
B
That's true. That's always something that you need to remind. If someone has been in your lineup all week, he's been there for a reason. Don't switch him out at the last second.
A
The sign. Our friend Nut is in the house with a venom emoji. A little dicey how I'm gonna say this. Yeah, what's up? What's up, Nut?
B
Hey, what's up?
A
What up?
B
So basically I gotta choose between Algier Banangai Spears and Travion henderson for my RB 2. 3. Algier. Easy.
A
Algier easy. All right. Oh, yeah, Dolphins. You're right about that. They're gonna have 300 rushing yards. 100. Yeah. Algeria easy, 10 carries, 78 yards.
B
Alger running back, 24 this week.
A
Yeah.
B
And I'm all in.
A
Coquai, he does not. Watched it.
B
Just.
A
If you weren't here earlier, what's your question?
B
Well, I'm just gonna say I'm gonna keep coming on here with this logo.
A
Until you watch Face Off. Yeah. And start tweeting him and just do all this stuff. Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
Go into his live streams and just say if you watch Face off and just make it a thing. Right.
B
Right now, really quick, I'm trying to trade a team that's very tight and needy. I've got Craft and Kittle, and I'm trying to bolster my running back spot. I put my roster on the chat just for context, but what do you think is fair trade for either one of those guys? He's got. I don't think he's gonna get off of Bijan Robinson, but he's got Scatter Boo, Judkins and Chase Brown.
A
Who is it again?
B
You want to move Craft or Kittle?
A
Oh, Craft or Kittle. Okay. I don't think you can get check ins or Scatter Boo.
B
That's what I want, though.
A
You can't. How. How are you gonna get those?
B
I mean, again, if you're just. You're playing with house money. When you have two tight ends and you can just trade Kittle for Chase Brown. I like. I'd rather have kiddo, like in a vacuum. But you having two tight ends doesn't. It's not helping you. Right? Not. It's not helping you having Crafting Kittle. Kraft already had his bye week, so you can Just start him the rest of the season. And Kittle is coming off a bad game, so you may not get as much for him anyway. Even though I do like him a lot this week. So I think just you probably should kiddle for Chase Brown, maybe.
A
Oh, I didn't hear Chase Brown. Yeah, I think you could maybe get that done. I didn't hear Chase Brown in there.
B
I think that. I think that gets done. Unless people are just really. I. I don't know, like the Kittle market. I think kettle's a good buy right now. Just because he put up a dud and people were just.
A
Yeah.
B
Really pissed about it. But I think he has a big game this week.
A
Really? Him? Really? Unmute.
B
Really you? Is it really?
A
Really?
B
Is it? Not again.
A
Yeah. Nut.
B
Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?
A
Yeah, what's up?
B
Yes. All right. So my team is loaded. I got CMC, Derrick Henry, Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker. RJ Harvey just hit the waivers. Is $40 in fab too much for him?
A
This is a redraft.
B
Yes.
A
Okay. I assume it's a hundred. Like, just assume the 100 when he says 40. 40 when you have all those running. Think I'm spending that on redraft for Harvey.
B
Yeah, I don't think you need. I don't. I wouldn't like go over the top with getting R.J. harvey. You see, I mean, your team is loaded, right. I don't think you need to make any vast changes to. You have both Seahawks running backs. You have top guys at the top. So, yeah, I mean, put in a small bid if people just kind of forget to check out. Check out Harvey. He's a nice bench guy to have because he's got upside, but I wouldn't over bid.
A
Big Booty Judy is the name spelled like Keisha. I'm allowed to say that because it's booty. Big, Big Booty Judy. And look at the emoji. What's up? Unmute. Yeah, with this emoji and name. Oh, there's more to the name too. What is it? It's Big Booty Judy Tootin Anya Mata. That didn't rhyme at the end. We're not getting idea.
B
I hope this is a Jerry Judy question.
A
It's a sell job too, because we only have like three minutes. You can re. Ask Nash. What's up?
B
Hey, guys. Just. Can you guys hear me? Sorry.
A
Yeah, we got you. Okay, perfect.
B
Quick question. I got two trade offers. My running backs right now are Javante and Jacobs. And I have scatter boo and I just lost Evans. But I had Jamar and I have Waddle and rice. It's a 12 team half PPR, so I've done a good job. Keeper. One offer I've gotten is Drake London for Scatterboo. So Evan's going down. And then the other one would be Hookah and either Breeze hall or Jalen Warren for Scatterboo and Rice. What trade offer is better?
A
I like the first one.
B
I like the London one.
A
Yeah, me too.
B
Yeah, I like that one a lot.
A
Love it. It. Love it. What's up, Dreddis? I see dread is just popped in here. She's asking if that booty segment. New. It's a brand new segment. The big Booty. Judy Tootin. Whatever. What's up? Ribs and cheese.
B
I got two quick ones for you. Quarterback Daniel Jones or Drake May and running back Harvey or Mananga.
A
Always Drake May and then Harvey or Mananga.
B
You gotta go with Manangai.
A
So you went with. Yeah, you skipped or you went with Manangai already? Yeah.
B
Yes, I would do Manangai over Harvey and. Yeah, always Drake, man.
A
Yeah, always Drake.
B
Me.
A
BH Perlo. What's up?
B
Hey, what's up, guys? Just a quick question. I have. I have Nico Collins in the flex and I'm assuming he's not gonna play, so I can leave him in there and basically if he was ruled out, I could start Brashad Smith. Or do I just put QJ in there when I'm starting Herbert and Keenan Allen already?
A
Qj, I'm not optimistic about Nico Collins. I don't have it up. Definitely should check the. Are they playing tool, But I don't think there's a lot of optimism around Nico Collins playing this week.
B
Erickson. He's also just been bad too. Yeah, we're talking about, you know, victory laps earlier. I mean, I like Nico Collins a lot and he has just been.
A
No, you're not allowed to do that.
B
Not good. Not good. Very bad. Bad call on my part.
A
Oh, you're doing negative. You're doing bad. You're doing the negative thing yourself. I thought you were taking a victory lap.
B
Oh, about, like, fading. No, I. Because I. I loved Nico and no, I honestly didn't think, like, the offensive line could just be like this big hindrance to him because it's always been bad. What's up, fellas? I was.
A
Yeah. Remember you're supposed to, like, you're supposed to save all of the victory lap, the positive victory labs for your very smart, intelligent co hosts that are with you. What's up rice pudding.
B
Yo.
A
Tyler. Algier just hit waivers.
B
Should I drop Manangai or Charbonnet to.
A
Grab him or just hold?
B
What do you think, John? If you have Bijan, you definitely want to add him. If you just need that one week starter, I think that he's probably the best option and. But he doesn't have a lot of standalone value. That's my concern. So do I really want him over Manangai? Who could maybe. I don't know. I feel like my Nunongai might actually really need a swift injury to actually do anything where you can feel confident. So I think I'd rather have Algier. I like him more this week anyway, so.
A
All right, let's see if we can get these last three. Just quickly just. It's super, super lightning round. Can't hear your whole team. Just give us a quick. See if we can get these last three. M bar is up, but you're muted. M bar three. Oh, you there?
B
Let's go.
A
I saw it when I clicked off to go.
B
Okay, guys, would you. I just picked up Mason Taylor. I have, I have.
A
Come on, quick, quick, quick. Let's go.
B
Hold on. I'm driving too.
A
Oh, we lost you. We. We can't, we can't, we can't. You put it in the chat or raise your hand real quick, throw it.
B
In the chat and I'll answer it.
A
Bucks, man. What? Buccaneer versus what player you got this week?
B
Week. Oh, my God.
A
Bucks. Tess Johnson. I know that was your question. I know that was your question. It's rotted, Johnson. I know it. I know it. All right. I'm not a wet blanket dress. We just have to go. "The trade you make is BTJ for Chase Brown...I’ve been sending out Chase Brown offers. He was my buy low RB target..." – Erickson ([06:16])
"I don’t want to trade for Barkley. Everything has been bad this year for him. He’s not ripping off explosive runs ... it was a special year for him last year and it’s really hard to repeat." – Erickson ([22:50])
"I like Matthew Golden... this could be a breakout game for him against the Steelers." – Erickson ([04:11])
"You gotta be patient... he’s one of the most talented backs, who just can’t get going." – Welsh ([14:16])
"Bad process if you do this nine times out of ten you'll regret it a year from now..." – Erickson ([14:16])
"I had Jameer Gibbs over Barkley... and Erickson was sitting here, unrepentantly: Barkley’s not in my top six or seven." – Welsh ([23:34])
"I don't think you need to make any vast changes. Put in a small bid... nice bench guy with upside, but don't overbid." – Erickson ([48:51])
On BTJ for Chase Brown:
"The trade you make is BTJ for Chase Brown, especially this week... that's the move I would make now if you can do it." – Erickson ([06:16])
On Travis Henderson dynasty patience:
"You can't jump off the bandwagon this quickly with a rookie running back..." – Erickson ([14:16])
On Barkley:
"I don’t think we should be chasing Barkley from what he did last year. I don’t think that special season is going to happen again for the Eagles." – Erickson ([22:50])
On live Q&A:
"The marketplace this year—you have to pay away a better wide receiver to get a running back. Like we said." – Erickson ([22:50]) "If you can just trade Kittle for Chase Brown, I’d do that. You’re playing with house money when you have two tight ends." – Erickson ([47:29])
On being humble about correct/bold takes:
"With me, I’m really just focused on everything I got wrong... why did I miss on JSN? Should I have noticed Brian Thomas Jr.? That’s really where my mental focus is." – Erickson ([25:44])
