Joey P
Welcome in everybody to Fantasy Pros. This is the fantasy football podcast. It is me, Joey P, Joe Pia with me today, Jake Sealey from the Athletic and we're going to have a conversation little fun about free agency players that could land in certain places and would change absolutely everything. So we have a longer form discussion here on the channel. If you want to check that out, subscribe to our YouTube channel. Subscribe to our podcast feed. Jake, Tom Strachan and I sat down, had a nice conversation about the free agency guys where they might land. But we're having a little fun here today. So we're talking about the best possible spots. Maybe some are pie in the sky, but they certainly would be fun for fantasy. So Jake Sealey, let's start with a big free agent that just set himself one hell of a game. In fact, he was super bowl mvp. It's Ken Walker. So let's talk about Ken Walker and what landing spot for him would be an ideal, incredible boon for his fantasy value.
Jake Sealey
Well, so yeah, that was my thought.
Co-host/Analyst
Process with these five is not just the boon potential but also the bust potential for what the ripple effect would be like. We're talking waves created when these kind of things happen with all these top five. So Kenneth Walker going to the Bengals of all teams would have ripple effects. We would have Kenneth Walker considerations probably at the back end of the RB one. I don't think Chase Brown would completely.
Jake Sealey
Go away, but the reason I put this as a possibility, and again this is a thought process of like what would just cause a devastation across the fantasy landscape is because Chase Brown, his.
Co-host/Analyst
Value would go out the window. He would basically fall into the Charbonnet role or worse. Because with the amount of money that the Bengals have, they can address a lot of things this year, hopefully on defense. But what if they go after a running back? And that's where I put this here.
Jake Sealey
Is because whether it's Kenneth Walker or somebody else, if the Bengals actively go after a running back, instead of paying Chase Brown an extension that kind of tells you what they're thinking, which was already something we kind of saw last year, was like Samaj P. Ryan went healthy 35% of the work. 35% of the work. 35 percent of the work. Third downs, sometimes at the goal line opportunities. What if they're like, you know what? We like Chase Brown, but we have a potential Kenneth Walker, even Breece hall.
Co-host/Analyst
Who we'll talk about to a different team after this. If they go that route, you not.
Jake Sealey
Just have the effect of the running.
Co-host/Analyst
Back going here, but we lose all that value for Chase Brown.
Jake Sealey
And then also obviously Kenneth Walker going.
Co-host/Analyst
Anywhere but back to the Seahawks opens.
Jake Sealey
Up that window to a what are.
Co-host/Analyst
We going to do with this backfield? Because there's no Charbonnet for a long time.
Joey P
Yeah, well, look, I think going back to the Seahawks certainly feels like, especially with the Charbonnet injury, something that should make sense. Yeah, it's not like Kubia's gonna take him with him going to the Raiders. We already have a running back last time I checked there. But certainly Ken Walker value without Zach Jarbonnet actually would be pretty good. But who knows, they might bring in somebody else to compete and take some carries off of him. Let's get to Breeze hall, another running back here who is very hot in the free agency window here. A lot of people try to put them on different teams. Again, we all understand that different teams have different cap situations, but this is fun here. So, Jake, what's the most fun, mind blowing landing spot we can have for Breeze Hall?
Jake Sealey
This one I like. And if both these scenarios happen, I.
Co-host/Analyst
Would rank Breeze hall ahead of Kenneth Walker, to be clear, because I think the one team that nobody's really talking about, there's actually two teams that nobody's really talking about. I don't have the other team.
Jake Sealey
We'll talk. Go check out the other show.
Co-host/Analyst
It's the Cardinals, if you haven't seen the other show.
Jake Sealey
But the teams that people aren't talking.
Co-host/Analyst
About that could potentially shake things up in their backfield. This one is the commanders.
Jake Sealey
The Commanders also have a ton, I.
Co-host/Analyst
Mean, a ton of cap space and they have issues to address. But if you're looking at the changes with the offense, if you look at the fact that they got rid of Kingsbury and maybe they're thinking a little bit differently.
Jake Sealey
But the one thing that they already said as of yesterday when we're recording.
Co-host/Analyst
This is they already came out.
Jake Sealey
It's like there's one running back on.
Co-host/Analyst
Our roster because there Is there's one.
Jake Sealey
Running back on the roster right now. It's Jecory, Crosky, Merritt. Well, what does Jakari Crosky merit? Kind of more of a carry type. Not much in the passing game.
Co-host/Analyst
What does Breeze hall do?
Jake Sealey
Great in the passing game, but he's also great overall. Breeze hall going to the Commanders, I mean, we'd be talking, like I said, I would rank him in front of Kenneth Walker.
Co-host/Analyst
I think he'd be a true Bell.
Jake Sealey
Cow, just like he was with the jets, but on a functional offense with a fun quarterback and a fun offense and I mean, tell me, we would probably be talking about Breeze hall's potential top 10.
Co-host/Analyst
Probably.
Joey P
I mean, he would certainly be around the turn conversation, I think in that offense with a healthy Jaden Daniels and hopefully we get that in 2026. We didn't get it in 2025, obviously. That was unfortunate. I would also. Kyle Pitts is another guy I'd like to see on the Commanders, to tell you the truth. Like that. That to me would be a fun marriage there for, you know, tight end with his sort of versatility and ability along with Jaden Daniel's ability to, you know, extend plays. I'd like to see that. But Breeze hall landing with the Commanders, they'd be very good. Look, they. They traded Brian Robinson Jr. Last year and basically the backfield was just a mess afterwards. Deal. So go figure. You get rid of that Steady Eddie guy, next thing you know, is a lot of chaos. Now we are giving away something fun here. Fantasy season's over, but the giveaways never end. It's hard to imagine him anywhere else than being a Tampa Bay Buccaneer, but this is fun. So let's imagine him somewhere else. Jake yeah, I'm going to.
Jake Sealey
I'm going to basically repeat if you watch the other long form one the.
Co-host/Analyst
Exact same spot that I think Mike Evans would make a lot of interest for us in fantasy and also again the ripple effect Mike Evans going to huh.
Jake Sealey
Somebody who has a free agent wide receiver as is kind of one number two their number one didn't play the entire season by the way. It's a great offense. I don't know how many more hints I could get. Their number one as of right now is great in space and over the middle of the field and is a great replacement for what Debo Stanley used to do for this team. And Mike Evans going to the 49ers. Could you imagine Mike Evans and the 49ers? And the reason I say this is because going back to the Buccaneers again feels like the Kenneth Walker. Like this just makes sense. But the Buccaneers set themselves up to they don't need them right now.
Co-host/Analyst
Like they have Ibuko who's shown enough.
Jake Sealey
McMillan's now back in healthy as the number three with a healthy Chris Godwin. Yeah, it'd be nice to be like hey, Mike Evans retires as a buccaneer, was a buccaneer, all that type of stuff. But at the same time it's like they don't really need to bring him back. And honestly it would be better for us in fantasy if they didn't because we would get that value for Igbuka and Godwin cleared out and get one of those options. Mike Evans going to the 49ers could replicate what he did with the Buccaneers as the one and open up things for Ricky Pearsall. Because the biggest thing here is when or if is George tittle playing in 2026. And I think that's the biggest thing here is that the 49ers kind of need somebody in the receiving game if they don't bring back Jennings. And I think they could even go higher than this and bring in like a Mike Evans type and kind of shock some people. And I think it would be fun.
Co-host/Analyst
For us in fantasy if it happened.
Joey P
I Think a fun one would also be pairing him with Josh Allen, because I don't know, if necessary, Buffalo wants to go drafting wide receivers again. I don't think that's proven well for them, but I think Buffalo for Mike Evans is the one where it's like, hey, getting towards the end here. One more run of the championship. What's the best place to do that? Well, go play with Josh Allen for a year or two. Does he want to play in the cold? That I don't know. When you spend your entire career in Tampa, Buffalo's a bit of a culture shock. I'm not saying you can't do it.
Jake Sealey
So you saw why I did the tiebreaker. Just I legit thought the Bills, and I did the tiebreaker of the weather.
Joey P
Look, man, once you get in your 40s, you know, just the cold is not. I'm telling you, man, it's been like 2 degrees here for like, a week and a half in New Jersey. No, sir. No, sir. It's not for me.
Jake Sealey
I want to be like, it's in the 20s, like, T shirts.
Co-host/Analyst
We don't care.
Jake Sealey
And all of a sudden, it's like.
Joey P
I'm wearing a T shirt right now in my house because it's 100 degrees inside. Because the heat never goes off. That's the problem. All right, so Mike Evans to the 49ers is Jake's landing spot. I like the Buffalo Bills. Let's see where Alec Pierce might go here. Let's talk about this one. Where do you have Alec Pierce, big, deep threat guy. Where could he make a huge fantasy impact?
Co-host/Analyst
I think we just mentioned two teams.
Jake Sealey
That are in play.
Co-host/Analyst
I think you could even talk about the commanders.
Jake Sealey
I've seen some people bring up. I've seen some people bring up the Ravens, and maybe they start passing more.
Co-host/Analyst
To their wide receivers with their change at offensive coordinator.
Jake Sealey
But for me, I think the interesting one is what do we know about.
Co-host/Analyst
Brian Dable with his time with the Giants?
Jake Sealey
He tried to make Darius Slayton a.
Co-host/Analyst
Thing year after year after year, no matter if it was Daniel Jones or.
Jake Sealey
Then Jackson dart or even Winston. And Russell Wilson has taken shots downfield to Darius Slayton. With the Calvin Ridley situation, is he even back? What do they have after Calvin Ridley? They have two young wide receivers in iu, Manor and dk. But who's the better? As of right now, who everybody would say is dk. And I think everybody would agree. Like, he looked better than Ian Manor as a rookie.
Co-host/Analyst
Well, what does DK do?
Jake Sealey
DK does more of The Wandell Robinson type of thing. So if you're looking for Dable making a splash, I know he's not in charge of everything, but he's going to.
Co-host/Analyst
Have an input on it.
Jake Sealey
Is the fact that he comes in and says, you know what? I want my Darius Slayton type and I like what I've seen from dk. Maybe Calum Ridley even sticks around. But, but Alec Pierce with potentially unlocking the next level for Cam Ward.
Co-host/Analyst
The interesting thing there is that Callahan just left after not developing Cam Ward and now he's in charge of trying to develop Jackson. Dark. Good job, Giants, by the way.
Jake Sealey
But anyway, as that sidebar is, maybe Dable gets back to his ways with the Bills and he gets that deep threat and Alec Pierce goes in from having, you know, limited opportunities and targets wise and ends up being the target.
Co-host/Analyst
Potential leader for the Titans.
Joey P
I like the Raiders for Alec Pierce. A field stretcher for Fernando Mendoza.
Jake Sealey
There's a teaser to watch the long.
Co-host/Analyst
Form video, by the way, because for.
Joey P
Everybody out there, look at this, look at you. What a pro. You're so good. But again, you know, you, you watch the tape of Indiana. Fernando Mendoza likes to throw the ball downfield. You know, whether he has those comeback routes downfield or you have those PIs, you know, he, he takes his shots. And I think it'll be a nice compliment to what you have already with Brock Bowers and Ash and Genti. You have a lot of good young players there and Pierce would I think fit in very well. And if I'm Alec Pierce, I'm just looking at the season that Jackson, Smith and Jigba had and I said I want to go play for that Clint Kubiak guy and get a million targets in offense. That's what I, I like Jack Besh as a prospect still, I think. But to me he's not a deep threat kind of guy. He's more of an intermediate sort of guy. So I think he would fill an interesting role there for the Raiders. Last guy here is a quarterback, Daniel Jones. All right, so I know Indy thinks it's just a foregone conclusion, but Jake Seeley does not. Jake, let's drop the bomb on him. Where could Daniel Jones go that would really change everything for fantasy football, somebody.
Co-host/Analyst
He'S played before and not the Giants. Oh, by the way, Kevin o' Connell, who might be the reason he turned into a half decent quarterback with Daniel Jones filling in there for going back to the Vikings and they're done with J.J. mcCarthy. We talked about it on the Other.
Jake Sealey
Show, you, me and Erickson.
Co-host/Analyst
I think there's a lot of talk in general that McCarthy has already done. Like, they gave him two years for all intents and purposes, two years, and it's not happening. And there's a lot of talk of where they bring in Kirk Cousins if he's cut.
Jake Sealey
What if they bring back Daniel Jones?
Co-host/Analyst
What if they go after Daniel Jones.
Jake Sealey
And all of a sudden not only is Daniel Jones back into the conversation.
Co-host/Analyst
Of top 15 in fantasy, potentially a.
Jake Sealey
QB one with Justin Jefferson, Addison a healthy T.J. atkinson under Kevin O', Connell, the running upside. I mean, we would probably be talking.
Co-host/Analyst
About Daniel Jones, honestly.
Jake Sealey
Quick sidebar. We'd probably be talking about Daniel Jones versus Jackson Dart in rankings if he was on the Vikings. So not only do you have that, but now what's the ripple effect? Maybe Anthony Richardson's back in play in fantasy because the Colts are all like, oh, what do we do now? Oops, yeah, we better see what we have in Anthony Richardson for one year if he can stay healthy and maybe they bring in some vet to back him up. But yeah, that's why I thought this one would be very interesting because as you said, the assumed situation is that he's back with the Colts. Just what if Daniel Jones isn't the one who's like, I'm 100% back with the Colts, so what if he sees the Vikings opportunity? He's like, you know what? That's a better opportunity to go to better weapons. And I want to go have some fun with my old Kevin o' Connell coach. And all of a sudden Indy's left holding the bag with Anthony Richardson.
Joey P
I've given an alternate landing spot for all four of the guys so far. For number five, I'm in agreement with Jake Seeley. We are holding hands here. I think it's fun. Look, he knows the offense, right? He was there. I mean, I want to work with Kevin o'.
Jake Sealey
Connell.
Joey P
I'd want to work with Justin Jefferson and the rest of the cast that they have there. It's very tempting. I still think that division is still very much up for grabs. That defense is very good. Offensively, they were just an absolute disaster last year. So if you can get the offense back on track, you know, you got a good head coach like that division is quality. All the teams in that division are good. But I think the Vikings can compete with them if they have good quarterback play. And they just, frankly, didn't have it all year. So that is fun. Let's drop some comments below. Let us know where your fun landing spots for some of these or other free agents might be. Drop your predictions in the comments and it might win yourself a belt from Trophy Smack. That again could be used as a weapon or a fashion piece depending on you know how you roll. Jake Seeley from the Athletic Always great to talk to you. That'll do it for us, but the story of the game goes on for Jake. I'm Joey P. We'll see you next time, kids.
