Seth Wilcock
All right, and welcome into the Fantasy Pros Fantasy Football Podcast. It's the week 12 and final edition of the trade show for the season. We've got running backs, buys and sells coming at you here in part one. I'm your host, Seth Wilcock and joined today by a man who was once growing a mustache alongside me, Andrew Erickson. Erickson, how are you? As we approach week 12 and couldn't do with the Stash anymore, huh?
Andrew Erickson
No, could not do it. The wife did not approve so we had to move on. We had to shave whatever hair I had above my upper lip. Not much rocking there, but Seth, happy to have you on. Obviously somewhat disappointed that Worm isn't here to kick off our final trade show. But don't worry for the folks listening at home watching on YouTube, we're going to have more of me and Worm. We're going to be doing the prediction show throughout week 13 and onward throughout everything Fantasy postseason playoffs. So we'll have you covered with more content. So we're not going away entirely. But we don't get any last bowl predictions for trades from Wormside. So Seth, you're going to have to pitch in and give some of your hot takes.
Seth Wilcock
Hey, we'll do what we can. I am a man of the people growing the stash for the Twitch audience and so I got one up on you there. And I'm also here unlike Worm today, so I might be the new favorite around these streets. Looking pretty good all of a sudden. We do have a loaded program for y' all today. Monday night football reaction, Erickson's top RBs to and sell. Plus, we'll take the pulse of the FP community and answer some listener questions in the mailbag at the end of the show. And before we jump in, shout out to everyone who makes it a part of their busy schedule, especially as the holiday season starts to pick up. We really, really appreciate you joining us either on the FP YouTube channel or the audio feed. We see you. We appreciate all the support Please be sure to give this video a thumbs up if you enjoyed this type of content and make sure you subscribe to the channel. If you're new, we're trying to get to 300,000 subscribers by the end of the season and we're and we can do it with your help. And of course, before we hit the trade market, let's take a look back at what we witnessed on Monday Night Football from the Dallas Cowboys took down the Las Vegas Raiders 3316 in Sin City. This game was pretty much wrapped up by halftime, folks, courtesy of three Dak Prescott second quarter passing touchdowns. He had another one in the third quarter. Geno Smith also got Trey Tucker into the end zone in garbage time in the fourth. Slightly disappointing days for the running backs in this one. Ashton Gentee, Javante Williams, both but most of the other key skill players at least cross double digit fantasy points for managers. The star of the show, Erickson though, George Pickens caught nine of 11 targets, 144 yards and a touchdown, good for 29.4 fantasy points. Swung a lot of teams in the right direction yesterday in a crucial Week 11 matchup.
Andrew Erickson
Clearly he took being benched in the first drive personally and he decided that it was his mission to score as many fantasy points as humanly possible. And Lamb actually a pretty solid game too. Lamb actually dropped a touchdown in the fourth quarter, so he had a chance to have an even bigger game as well to go alongside Pickens. So maybe the Dallas Cowboys strategy moving forward is Yep, first drive we don't have Lamb or Pickett on the field and that pisses them off and it makes them that much more productive when we put them back in the game for the second drive. So everyone from Dallas did exactly what you're expecting. Javonte didn't find the end zone but had a season high in terms of carries. Malik Davis was the RB2 again, so it doesn't look like Jaden Blue is going to be a thing after being another healthy scratch out of the bye week. Usually we see rookies see more touches outside the bye week. Not the case for Jaden Blue, so nothing really else to report there. Ryan Flournoy is also kind of taken over as the wide receiver. 3. It's no longer Jalen Tolbert. Kevonte Turpin is still just in a gadget role. So Flournoy again not seeing a ton of volume, but he has scored back to back weeks because he's attached to the Dak Prescott led Dallas Cowboys offense. So everything's kind of up and I think two Dallas defense not nearly as bad as it's been earlier in the season because of all these acquisitions they were talking on the broadcast. It's almost like a completely different defense with new guys up and down the place. Especially with obviously Quinn and Williams, that big acquisition they had from the New York jets. Certainly presence was felt immediately. He was generating interior pass rush. So and you look at the box score, Ashton Genti nowhere to be found as a rusher because I don't think that the Dallas run defense is going to be nearly as bad as it's been throughout the season and on paper. So just something to kind of keep in mind when you're evaluating Cowboys matchups for your fantasy running backs. It's not Bengals level esque anymore. I think it's probably more of a neutral matchup again. Still Dallas is going to invite high scoring game environments so it's not a matchup to avoid per se, but not one that's maybe as big of a smash spot as as it's been, you know, to start the season.
Seth Wilcock
That's a great point you make because we've seen a couple defenses, whether it was a shift, schematically bringing in some reinforcements by the trade deadline really change up here, right? The Steelers defense, they're starting to play Jalen Ramsey at safety. That really seemed to turn the page for them against the Bengals on Sunday. Also the Ravens, they're another defense right here. Erickson that's kind of started to figure things out a little bit, changing things up schematically. So I'm with you there. I don't think the Cowboys are quite the layup they were when we started this season. A couple follow up questions for you. I want to start with George Pickens. Where is he rest of season two because this is now his third finish of wide receiver three or higher on the season. He's been fantastic. Like are we wide receiver 1hp rest of the way.
Andrew Erickson
It's his first wide receiver top three finish with Lamb which I think is also kind of noteworthy. So the other two good point Lamb in the lineup. So yes I think that it's probably going to be Lamb as the guy most weeks out producing George Pickens. But pick and ceiling is that of a highest scoring player on the week and he showed that he could do it in a matchup with CD Lamb and out target CD Lamb. So I think that he's probably a low end Fantasy Wide Receiver 1 Rest of the season. I think some weeks he will be more around that wide receiver 2 range which is Kind of where he's been most of the time with CD Lamb healthy in the lineup. But clearly the upside is so high on a week to week basis that if he starts cooking that you know you're going to be glad that you started him. So again, someone that it's tough to evaluate in terms of should you trade for him, should you trade him away, should you sell high. I think you're just kind of happy that you have him on your roster and he's attached to a good offense. And yeah, maybe it's not always as good as it was when Lamb was hurt, but the upside is still clearly very high.
Seth Wilcock
Yeah, I think there's maybe nine, maybe 10 wide receivers I would rather have over Pickens for the rest of the way. Obviously CD Lamb pretty high up on that list as well. After that top tier running backs. Again, I'm not really concerned about Javante Breeze hall, it's been or Ashton Genti. Been great to see him finally get some pass catching usage. Like six catches were really nice for him. Didn't have a lot of production on the ground. The Raiders barely ran this one at all. But at the same time, while it's not like a ton of receiving yards, it's at least nice to see Ashton Genti is a bit more of a floor kind of. Same with Javante Williams who just keeps crushing and you know, not a big performance from him. But got the usage where he didn't kill you this week.
Andrew Erickson
Yeah, he didn't find the end zone right. And that's going to happen when Dak ends up throwing four touchdowns.
Seth Wilcock
Right.
Andrew Erickson
You know, think back all the way to week one when they first faced the Philadelphia Eagles. Javante was scoring all the rushing touchdowns in that game and Dak had a bad game for fantasy. So I'm not concerned about Javante. He is a top 10 running back rest of the season, so feel good about that. He also looks fantastic, right? He looks like the tackle breaking machine that he was at the beginning of his career before that devastating knee injury. He and he looks all the way back. Very interested to see what Dallas does with guys like Javante and George Pickens, guys that aren't under contract next year. So who do they decide to keep or do they like? Nope, we're just going to go bottom of the barrel for another running back and just put him in this offense and we'll see where Pickens. I mean it's going to be tough for Pickens to stay in Dallas and I feel, I feel like it's probably the best spot for him because he's thrived in such a great way here. But then if a bad team overpays for him to be on their roster it just because you can see because even, even when it seems like everything is working well, he's still kind of doing kind of dumb things where it's like he does the penalty where just the thing that Jameson Williams did on Sunday night, he does the exact same thing and costs his again it didn't end up mattering because you got legatron there kicking all the extra points in a dome.
Seth Wilcock
So yeah, how bad?
Andrew Erickson
I mean if anything he was like all right Aubrey, I know he's going to make it so it doesn't really matter. But still, that is always in the back of my mind with Pickens. But that's more of a conversation for 2026. As for Genti, yes, the receiving has been fantastic for him over the last couple weeks and that's really the only thing that's working for him in terms of elevating his floor. He's a tackle breaking machine. But the Raiders offensive line has just been buried with different types of injuries. Their schedule is tough. Now there are a couple bright spots in the rest of season schedule for Genti, Chargers, giants, giants, week 17 that might be all that matters when it comes to Ashton Genti. So I know that you want to like you want to get rid of him. It just hold him because if you get to Week 17 in that Giants matchup like we've seen his ceiling especially when he's playing all the snaps, 73% snap share involved with the pass catcher. So he's giving you a floor and even tougher matchups and obviously a couple of ceiling spots. The Chargers as well as another good spot for him. But like Broncos, Eagles, Texans, you know those necessarily aren't super, super ideal.
Seth Wilcock
Okay, well let's talk about some more trade targets starting with RBS to buy Erickson. Who are you out on the prowl for in the fantasy streets right now as deadlines near?
Andrew Erickson
Chase Brown want the Bengals starting running back. We've seen over the last couple weeks without Samaj P. Ryan. Chase Brown, his snaps have exploded. He's played basically every single snap for the Cincinnati Bengals this past week. I believe that he was above 80% the week before. He was above 90%, 83% of the snaps here in week 11 and he's actually been much more productive as a rusher since week seven. Second highest explosive run rate, nearly 20% of any running back with 30 carries. Second lowest such rate from weeks one through six. So he is improving as a rusher. He's feeling much better. He's generated explosive plays, 26 total touches last week. And the thing that's exploded the most without P. Ron in a lineup is the pass catching has gone absolutely nuclear. He's 14 catches for 73 yards on 22 targets, 25% target share over the last two games for Chase Brown. And the icing on the top or whatever, the cherry on top of the cake, whatever the phrase is, the schedule is just absolutely fantastic. Weeks 14 to 16, Bills, Ravens, Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals in week 17. Right. That game is going to be a scoring bonanza, all plus matches. So it's really just wheels up all the way for Chase Brown. And I get that he hasn't scored a ton of touchdowns over this kind of like stretch, but if P. Ryan remains sidelined, I know he's dealing with an ankle sprain that was going to cause him to miss a couple weeks. Now it's possible he does return, but I've just been so impressed with what Chase Brown has done. I don't think the coaching staff is going to think, oh yeah, we got to get some other P run back on the field. Clearly Chase Brown shown, dude, I can play all the snaps. I can play on third down. I can catch passes. Use me. And even in this matchup against the Patriots this week, a little bit tougher. We know how good the Patriots run defense has been. It doesn't matter because Brown is good as a receiver and that's one of the things the Patriots are bad against defensively. And Jamar Chase isn't going to play because he's suspended. So just more targets for Chase Brown as an underneath outlet for Joe Flacco. So I just love Chase Brown in all facets in all formats. Get him on your roster.
Seth Wilcock
I couldn't agree with you more, man. Like going back to his days out in Champaign when he played for Illinois, he was this volume type of running back, right. And he showed it to us last year down the stretch. And I'm. I'm with you. I don't really know when P. Ryan's going to return. Did not practice even, even in limited capacity all last week. So it could still be another few weeks without him. Who knows how much he's involved when he's back. And since week six, when Joe Flacco got Delta Cincy, Chase Brown RB10 in points per game, minimum four games played, averaging 16.9 points per game. That is the guy you drafted in the second and third rounds of redraft. So I'm completely on board with this. My only question for you, and it's certainly a loaded one, so I'll say that. But if Joe Burrow returns, could that actually be a negative maybe for Chase Brown just because, I mean Flacco is finding him. Flacco's finding also the receivers very well. Like he's really concentrated this offense a bit more than we saw at the beginning of the season. Even when in the limited sample size with Joe Burrow.
Andrew Erickson
I don't think so that's not the hill that I'm going to die on where, okay, Burrow stepped in and everything crumbled for the Bengals. Everything's already crumbling for the Bengals essentially. So sure, I think maybe just a team morale boost just, just seeing Joe Burr back at under center for the Bengals, I think that's going to make feel pretty good. Again, you can make the argument where they lean on the run game a little bit more because they want to knock some of the rust off of Joe Burrow. And sure, ultimately it's the matchups that really excite me the most. So as long as Joe Burrow doesn't come out and look exactly like he always looks like week one or week two of the season, like, that's probably.
Seth Wilcock
That is what I'm concerned about.
Andrew Erickson
Probably the biggest concern. But again, that's why the fantasy playoffs are three weeks long. So even if Chase Brown has a, you know, a less than stellar game, I don't think that he's going to kill you because of seeing so much volume. We know that Joe Burrow trusts him. If anything, it's like, no, I want Chase Brown out there. I want him out there. I trust him the most among our running backs, not necessarily P. Ryan, maybe someone he hasn't played with nearly as much. So I just, yeah, it's not enough to really move the needle for me, especially because, I mean, is Burrow 100% coming back? The Bengals lost again. I know he really wants to play.
Seth Wilcock
So yeah, he's eyeing that Thanksgiving Day game. That is when we potentially will see Joe Burrow back. But there's the case you just made as well that maybe he never comes back because the Bengals are slowly starting to fall out of things in the AFC playoff picture and the AFC north as a whole. So let's go to your next running back by a player who somewhat disappointed managers in a potential smash spot in week 11.
Andrew Erickson
Yes, RJ Harvey is going to be my buy here. And it was a smash spot from the idea that he was going to see all the work dominate the touches, which I think that if we were trying to be as much realistic as possible, probably wasn't in the range of outcomes because we know how Sean Payton operates, right? This guy could tell you that RJ Harvey is going to see a million touches and it would be Audrey, estimate back from a different team. Be like, I didn't even realize he was on the Denver Broncos anymore. So that's what we got here with Jalil McLaughlin scoring the rushing touchdown. But RJ Harvey still had a lot of development in the red zone. He's been someone they've used in the red zone all year long. He's one of the few players this year that has a three touchdown game on his resume because of how much they like using him in the red zone. So the other peripheral metrics were also encouraging. 61% of the snaps, the only two. The two other running backs played eight snaps a piece. He had 14 touches. That was his second highest in a game. Again only 50 yards. But it was a tougher matchup. We know the Chiefs defense is pretty good against running backs. Harvey still dominated the routes, the targets, the things that we care about the most for Fantasy Football. And J.K. dobbins is not coming back anytime soon. Like he was placed on injury preserve. So he's going to miss, at least miss the next three games. I think it's probably going to be a little bit longer for him. I don't think that we would probably see him until the actual NFL playoffs where they could potentially get him back. So I think that we're going to see Harvey get unleashed a little bit more here out of the bye week. So the fact that he did disappoint when people were really excited about it, I, I thought the usage is still positive that okay, we're going to see improved production moving forward out of the bye week for Denver. So he's someone that I want to try to buy.
Seth Wilcock
Yeah, I think it's a very specific prescription. You have to be in a winning position I think to observe. Absorb RJ Harvey here because he has the buy this week Also then just one plus matchup in the last five weeks, Washington in week 13, I think will be the breakout potential spot for Harvey. I don't know if like the pure league winning upside is there for Harvey just because like you said, I think, I mean with Sean Payton, like who knows if Tastum Hill just shows up, right? You know, like he could somehow find his way to Denver and like it just feels like there's always a couple different fiddles that like to be played here in the Denver backfield. I will say though, I love the floor you get with RJ Harvey. 32 targets on the season, 14th most for the RB position, 28 receptions, the ninth most, also fifth in yards per route run, fourth and catch rate, 87.5% catch rate. So he is doing the most with what he's been given. It's just, it's not going to be, you know, he's not going to go out there, I don't think, and see 25 touches anytime soon. I don't think that's the type of guy he is right now. But maybe it comes and like you said, 5 of 8 red zone touches this past week. That was encouraging. So I am with you. I think it has to be very specific. You have to be in a winning position where you're already locked in the playoffs or you have a good clean chance at it. But RJ Harvey certainly would be a really nice RB2 candidate for you down the stretch. Today's show is brought to you by our presenting sponsor, Hard Rock Bet. Andrew let's go ahead and flip the script in this one. Who are the running backs you are looking to potentially sell ahead of week 12?
Andrew Erickson
Tyrone Tracy, running back for the New York Giants. He is my first running back to sell and I was optimistic that Brian Dabel's gone. We're going to get away from this Devin Singletary experience because that we know Day Ball and Singletary. They're boys. So I left the light on for that possibility and yeah, that was not the case whatsoever. Although Tracy was the dominant running back in terms of the total touches, he did play more snaps. 52% trusingletaries 48%. That's pretty close to a 50, 50 split. The high value touches were so lopsided in favor of Singletary. He had nine red zone attempts, which is also part of why his yards per carry was so bad was because he was just rushing inside the 20 so he didn't necessarily have a lot of space to work with. So it's not a matter of oh well, signatories clearly dust. His yards per carry is absolutely terrible. It's because he had six goal line carries. He could have scored three touchdowns in this game. He would have been like the 13th running back to score three touchdowns last week.
Seth Wilcock
Right?
Andrew Erickson
Sean Tucker, Chris. It seemed like everybody was going to. Everyone was trying to put the hat trick performance on and Devin Singletary was very close to that. So I think that hurts Tracy in terms of what his upside can be if they always decide to lean on Devin Singletary in the red zone. Because that's super frustrating. Because look, Tracy's been really effective. He's put up over 70 plus rushing yards and back to back wheat. He's coming off a game where he had 139 yards from scrimmage, 23 touches. But I'm saying this to anyone listening because you can craft a trade to sell Tracy away because he has value, because he has been good over the last couple weeks. But I'm telling you that Singletary is not going away under this new coaching staff with Mike Kafka as interim head coach. He's taking red zone opportunities which is bad. And the Giant schedule rest of season is really bad for running backs. It's the worst in terms of looking at the fantasy pro strength of schedule tool and they also have a week 14 bye week.
Seth Wilcock
So yep, can't have that.
Andrew Erickson
There's just a lot of issues with Tracy rest of season. That to me, if someone needs a running back, a running back needy team. Tracy's the first guy I'm sending to that person again. I think he's probably going to be more in that RB3 range rest of season, maybe low end RB2. So again, not useless with value. But I think that you can get someone to bite on a player like a Tracy if they're really hurting at running back because I think that the peripherals suggest in the schedule that that things aren't going to be as good for him rest of season.
Seth Wilcock
I completely agree with you. Once Again, because I think whenever someone sees hey this guy was almost an RB1 RB13 finish last week, you can trade on that perception. And also to your point of the red zone snaps this week and on the season as a whole, in the three games since Cam Scatter Boo went down, we have seen Devin Singletary Take 15 of 17 Red zone touches in that performance. So yeah, I'm with you here. I don't want like the next two matchups. I don't like the buy in week 14. My question is like what would you want back do you think? For someone like Tyrone Tracy, I almost think maybe your best value would probably be like trying to go to the wide receiver position. Right. And maybe can I get a potential former wide receiver one that's more now in that wide receiver two range and look to flip him. Do you think there's a different way you would go about trying to trade the Giants running back?
Andrew Erickson
There was a name I had in mind that I was thinking about for Tracy, but I think it's escaped me. It's probably not enough for Jefferson, right?
Seth Wilcock
No. But maybe Nico Collins, like maybe you could throw Tracy in something to get Nico Collins or maybe even you could go do Tyrone Tracy plus a low end wide receiver three and get Jefferson. I think that would be a potential.
Andrew Erickson
I do think it goes back to my initial point where I mean we're have talked about this on the trade show before. Sometimes it's not targeting players per se with certain trades, it's targeting certain managers. So with Tracy.
Seth Wilcock
Good point.
Andrew Erickson
Who's going to give you the most value for him? Who needs the running back the most in your league? That's who you need to find. And that's something that's great about the the trade Central as part of my playbook on fantasy pros is it helps identify every team's needs in your league. So even if there have their head in the dirt and they're like no, I don't need this position. Like dude, like look at the number, like look at your teeth. Like clearly you need a running back. So that's how I would probably approach Tracy because he is on the Giants. People do know that Singletary is involved to some capacity but again he's not like totally useless. Like he catches passes and he could technically be an upgrade for a team that needs a running back too.
Seth Wilcock
Yeah, there's got to be someone out there running out like Zach Charbonne.
Andrew Erickson
Seahawks running backs. That's you got to go target.
Seth Wilcock
Yes, we'll certainly talk about that a little bit later in the show as well. But Andrew, let's first get to your second running back that you're looking to ship off this week.
Andrew Erickson
Yes, this is someone that I probably talked about more than any other running back on the show and it's DeAndre Swift and sometimes I've been right about it. In the beginning of the season it looked like a call did not look as great. In the middle of the season when they come out of the bye week, the run game for the Bears really came alive. Swift was really effective but both him and Kyle Manangai have played well. Like the Bears entire run game has substantially played a lot better after their bye week. You look at just success rate. Kyle Manungai is sixth in rushing success rate this season and Swift is ninth. So again I want to give these guys their flowers like they have both been really, really solid. Swift has been a touch monster over the last couple of weeks. 21 and a half opportunities per game, 80 plus rushing yards in back to back games. Again this guy has value but that's why I want to dump him for something better because I'm concerned about the Bears schedule rest of season. Like that is probably the thing that I'm most terrified of. We know the Bears have a winning record right now and it feels like okay, how real is it? They've won a lot of close games. They've had a lot of games where they've benefited because of turnovers. And now you just look at the rest of season schedule for the Chicago Bears. They have the packers twice. They have to play the Cleveland Browns Eagles Steelers. Week 17 looks awesome against the 49ers so if you can get to that matchup fantasy championships, kudos to you. But I just think getting there is going to be tough if you're going to be riding heavily on Chicago Bears. This is a split backfield. Even last week DeAndre Swift dominated the total touches but who got the Reds on goal line touchdown? It was Kyle Manon Guy and that's kind of been Swift's not his M.O. but something that's kind of held him back from like truly reaching RB1 status is yep, teams always seem to find other guys to put in the red zone than DeAndre Swift and it's super annoying because we've seen Swift be explosive, be great in the passing game at times. He gets banged up every once in a while and that happened this year too. He missed the Bengals game but man, Guy like he is not going away especially based on how effective he has been. So again, hot hand Approach the coaches have kind of talked about here. So I do get concerned that if Manungai comes into a game and looks a little bit better, Swift doesn't get as many touches. So the matchups overall aren't as good for two running backs to eat. So that's kind of why I feel like Swift is a sell high for me.
Seth Wilcock
Yeah, I think that's always been my concern with Swift is the red zone usage. Right. I mean since the injury as well in that breakout game from non guy, three touches for the rookie in the red zone, five for Swift. And I think the appealing thing about Swift, why it would be interesting to either roster him the rest of the way or this is like your. Your chip to go sell him and is that he has a great floor, one of the best floors at running backs because he has 33 targets, 10th among the position, 23 receptions, 18th among the position, and is fifth in yards per reception, 9.1 yards. So he's making the most of the opportunities. It's not like he's been absolutely dog water like he was kind of towards the end of his stretch both in Philly or also going back all the way to Detroit. I think the interesting thing with Swift and the difficult thing about trading him is it feels like his trade markets always kind of like, you know, lukewarm. Right. Like I think no one's ever gonna sell the house for him. So what would you maybe be looking to get back? Because just kind of looking at our rest of season rankings over@fancypros.com NFL rankings, you can go over and see right where we have them. Like we have them kind of in the range with players like DK Metcalf, George Kittle, Tyler Warren, Travis etn, RJ Harvey. Is that kind of the TR player you would be looking if you're going for like a straight one for one?
Andrew Erickson
I think so. I think that's kind of the range you want to be going into. Jefferson is another name that comes to mind. I think that managers are really panicked about Justin Jefferson even though. Oh yeah, again, we'll talk about him in the wide receiver show. Spoiler. Yeah. But I do think that Swift could get that type of deal done because when you are moving running backs, at least in my experience, trading this year is usually get a better wide receiver. Like you're not getting the same tier.
Seth Wilcock
Type of player this time of year, especially with all the injuries.
Andrew Erickson
So you're usually going to get a better wide receiver straight up than a running back for running back type of trade. And it works in the opposite way. When you trade a receiver, it's usually a running back and a lower tier. So again, similar with Tracy. You want to get the most for Swift is you have to find the running back manager that needs running back the most. So it also. Does that manager have Manangai. Like, do they want to double down on the Browns back so they have the starter running back and then the handcuff running back. So I think that's kind of interesting. And I have to. I got to admit, Seth, I am a little intrigued by this Ken Walker thing with Mike McDonald coming out and saying really he wants to get more opportunities for. I mean, he's not. He's not said this at all this season until after this last game where he's like, no, I want to get him more opportunities. It's usually been, no, we love Sharbonnet. He's going to be the guy. So, yeah, I kind of feel like that's a shoot for the moon where you talked about Swift in the floor, right? You flip Swift for Ken Walker. Worst case scenario, you get Ken Walker. He does what he's been doing. He's an RB2. But what if this thing comes true where they do give him more opportunities and he is the lead guy on the Seahawks offense that has been cooking more often than not this year. They're facing the Titans this week. That's a layup matchup.
Seth Wilcock
So.
Andrew Erickson
Oh, wow. Yeah. Is that the move that you kind of make here where, hey, I'm going to take a shot with Ken Walker again? Swift is fine. The floor is there, but what wins championships, right? It's upside. It's fantasy football upside that wins in the championships. And I just don't think that that's necessarily going to come from this Bears offense, given the schedule, given the split backfield and just given Swift's, you know, body of work.
Seth Wilcock
And I think the people who have someone like the Seattle Seahawks running backs have been pretty disappointed, especially Ken Walker, where you drafted him. So there's a potential that you could go out and even get Walker, plus something small, whether that's a, you know, another RB4 coming back, maybe a wide receiver flex play, something like that, like a Tez Johnson, something kind of in that range. I think there is potential there because I think most people in a vacuum would value Swift over KDub3 right now. So just some potential moves floating out there. Before we get out of here, though, let's get to the mailbag and answer some of our listener questions. And I want to Start out with my friend Cheech on Twitter. I don't know where Chong is at this point. We do have a question from Cheech though, and he's saying, with everyone hurt on the Falcons, should I trade Bijan Robinson? Erickson, I know you've talked about Bijan as a potential sneaky buy low a few weeks ago. Do you still feel the same now that It's Michael Penix Jr. Who's going to be out for the rest of the season? Kirk Cousins gets the start and also Drake London banged up for at least a little bit here.
Andrew Erickson
I don't think so. I kind of feel like I would be trading low with B. Robinson again. He's coming off a pretty productive game. He had a red zone touchdown. Guys, guys, he scored from inside the red zone. It wasn't. Although Al your did score as well. But I think that with London banged up, Kirk Cousins noodle arm coming in. What does that mean? Checkdowns to the running back.
Seth Wilcock
Down, baby.
Andrew Erickson
That's kind of what I see. And you get Bijan in space, it doesn't matter what defense they're playing. So I think that this is a hold for me with Bijan. He's too talented of a player to sell low on, in my opinion. And you know, he can win your week. That's kind of my focus here. A lot of these last trade deadline trades is, are these players I'm acquiring. Can you envision a game where they put up 30 points? I want to get as many of those guys. You got to have firepower because you're going to be facing the best teams in the fantasy playoffs. And when you look up and you see Josh Allen put 50 points up in your opponent's lineup, dude, like, you're not going to get there with some of these floor plays. Like you're just not going to win. It doesn't matter even if it was a good play, it's like unless you can see a path where a guy can get 30, then I just think you're going to be cooked. So that's something I'm thinking about a lot. And Bijan obviously has that week to week upside. So I think he's gonna be peppered with Target, especially with London out. So I'd probably hold. Okay.
Seth Wilcock
So Erickson calming the nerves of fancy managers with Bijan Robinson, including Cheech. Cheech, chill out a little bit. Take a rip, do whatever you gotta do to, to, you know, ease those nerves. But Erickson's saying, let's just chill. Take a chill pill here. Everything's gonna be good going down the stretch. And speaking of firepower, here is a trade that has some of the most explosive players we've seen this season. I just gave up Jonathan Taylor for Jackson Smith, Najigba and Derrick Henry. In a 10 man league, I'm in first place. Was it a good deal? This is coming from our friend Anthony on YouTube.
Andrew Erickson
Ericson, was it a good deal? I think that objectively it probably was. I don't think that you were being swindled in any way with this deal. I think this is a fair trade. Again, you're trading the RB1 for the wide receiver one and a fantasy RB1. I don't know where Henry is like on the season. I'm sure that he's probably in that probably not top 5 but in that like 6 to 12 range like low end fantasy RB1. He also faces the Bengals twice in the next couple weeks. I know some of the playoff matchups aren't amazing for Derrick Henry so I think that this is a solid trade.
Seth Wilcock
So I think if you're ever going to move off an elite option like John Taylor, you have to. Yeah, exactly. Yep. You're getting. I mean if we were redrafting today, JT's probably the 101 is Jackson, Smith is jig but maybe the 102 are pretty close up there. At least a top five pick. So. And the fact that you're getting Derrick Henry pretty much splits the difference even in a 10 man league. And yeah he has RB19 on the season on a points per game basis. Keep in mind a couple of those running backs like Hampton Scatter Boo. They're kind of in that mix as well and they're out. So still in my opinion like top 15, top 17 guy and Derek Henry and winter is coming. Erickson. Winter is coming twice. Oh no. Oh, looking forward to that. And let's get to our final question. This comes from David Gilbert on YouTube. He says I'm we get RB2 with the Seattle Seahawks running backs. I have a deal that offered to me to trade Puka Nukua, DJ Moore and Kenneth Walker iii. I would get back Jamar Chase, James Cook and Tyrone Tracy Jr. Is this a smash accept?
Andrew Erickson
Yeah, this is a good question David and it's interesting because the guys that you are trading for. So Chase is going to be suspended this week. So he's not going to play. So that's not great. James Cook, I looked more into it. His rest of season schedule is not good. He's got some tough matchups especially on the road again you have that Patriots matchup that's tough. I don't remember the exact I'm not sure if you can pull them up. Seth. It's they are some tougher matchups for James Cook and we just talked about Tyrone Tracy as a sell high off of his back to back games. Now what you are dealing so you're trading Puka who I think again Puka, Chase. It's probably pretty even split again. Obviously Chase, you lose a week from him so that's unfortunate. DJ Moore is kind of been nothing. I don't really think he has much value. And then we just talked about Ken Walker. I agree where it's like okay it's probably an RB2 obviously rather have James Cook then Ken Walker rest of season. I still think that you probably want to do this trade just because you get chasing Cook and I would just rather have that. I think Ben Walker, even if the Walker, you know prophecy comes to fruition, it's like James Cook's still in a pretty good spot even with tougher matchups. So I think that this is a fine trade but I would just obviously keep the context of hey Chase is suspended so maybe you can get a better type of deal, maybe get something more back or take something out of the deal. So I don't hate it. I don't know if it's a smash just because I kind of talk down some of these players you're acquiring but I think that it's a pretty fair trade.
Seth Wilcock
Yeah, Houston, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, New England and Cleveland and Philly to round out the year. So you you like Cincy? You don't mind Pittsburgh? They've been able to be run on at times kind of back and forth. But don't love the Houston matchup. New England, no thank you. Unless it's just going to be the pass catching work there that's really propping him up. And Cleveland and Philly to end aren't really my favorite.
Andrew Erickson
The it's in Cleveland, right? Like yes it is in Cleveland. Yeah that those games just friggin talk about bet the under man. Like those are the games that just kill kill game totals. So that's something to keep in mind. But David, I'd be interested to see if this deal is still on the table with the Chase suspension. Maybe you can kind of rework it a little bit, but I think that you're putting the right pieces here.
Seth Wilcock
