All right, and welcome into the Fantasy Pros fantasy football podcast. It's the Week 12 Sunday recap show coming to you live right here on the FP YouTube channel. And it was an afternoon of a few stars shining brighter than the rest, swinging the balance of fantasy matchups as we know it. I'm your host, Seth Wilcox, back with the full cast of characters today, including a man who likely has more degrees than all of us combined. And he's an orthopedic sports surgeon and the founder of Sports med analytics. He's Dr. Deepak Chona. Doc, great to see you back in the saddle today. How are you after another Sunday that wasn't too bad on the injury front for once.
E
Yeah, you know, I'm, I'm doing great. Everything is bonus today because Texans got their win Thursday. So I'm just riding high.
D
Well, I'm glad to hear it, man, and excited to crack into that big brain of yours once again. Also joining us is a former news producer turned fantasy football analyst. She's a die hard Clemson Tigers fan and alumna. She's Tara Roberts. Tara, Sarah, how are you? Your Clemson Tigers now bowl eligible as well.
A
Yeah, yeah. Figure that. Yeah. Doing good. Doing good. It's, it's been a, it's been a fun Sunday. It's been a fun week in general.
D
It has, I agree, a lot of surprising fantasy performances, some letdowns here and there. We'll talk about it all today on the program. And the show does look like this. We'll break down the most notable injuries with Deepak and the potential fantasy football fallout. Then we'll break down the top five storylines of the week and take a trip to the panic meal leader as well. We'll certainly then round out the program with a rapid fire Q A. So send any questions you have and we'll be sure to try to get to them. And before we jump in, I first wanted to shout out everyone tuning in either on the Fancy Bros YouTube channel or the audio feed after the fact as well. We're so, so thankful for all the support. So far this season, especially this time of the year where schedules get busy. So we appreciate all the time you make for us and the entire channel here. Please be sure to give this video a thumbs up if you enjoyed this type of content. Also, make sure you subscribe to the channel if you're new. We're trying to get to 3,100,000 subscribers by the end of the season. We can only do that with your help. And let's go ahead, ladies and gentlemen, let's jump right on the injury front. First, where the Pittsburgh Steelers. A couple injuries to talk about. First, wide receiver DK Metcalf in and out of the lineup with an ankle injury. Today, Metcalf came back in. He did finish the game, but he had checked out the game twice before. So, Deepak, what do you think Metcalf is dealing with? And is there any chance he's unavailable next week after playing most of this game?
E
Yeah, you know, I. I think there is a chance. If I had to guess right now, with limited information, I would lean towards him being active. The fact that he was able to come back after the initial injury suggests that it maybe wasn't that severe and then he was back in and then kind of left after that again. So we don't have a clear indication, but the mechanism doesn't look severe on video. So hopefully we'll see him return to practice at least this week.
D
Okay. And also his quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, he was inactive with a fractured wrist. Deepak, Mike Tomlin told us earlier today that Rodgers, quote, fought his tail off to try to play this week. Does that mean he's up next week against the Bills?
E
Typically it would. So he logged two limited practices. There really isn't like a drastic change in the functional status that happens. And they're talking more about safety. Meaning, like, if he were to fall on this, would it change significantly? Unless you're going to sit him for the duration of fracture healing, which is going to be like four to six weeks, then you're probably going to see him come back pretty soon. So I think most likely this coming week is where you see it.
D
Tara, compared to this week where you had the entire Pittsburgh Steelers offense is an upgrade. Getting a little bit banged up of a Rodgers back, or is it a downgrade for them? What do you think?
A
You know, the run game, I think stays fairly even. Regardless, it's kind of interesting. I honestly think the downgrade ended up being there for the tight ends, who apparently Aaron Rodgers has just fallen in love with. Mason Rudolph ended up being a better situation for DK Metcalf, so that was very intriguing there. So that's something, something to monitor.
D
Yeah, I I agree. I was very high on DK Metcalf this week, thought he could find the end zone, had him as one of my touchdown calls. Didn't get to his receiving yards prop just because I think he was out so much this game. But I don't hate Mason Rudolph either way. I think things are looking up for the Steelers in general. Not looking up though for Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver T. Higgins. He suffered a concussion. Deepak in the past we had pretty much viewed concussions as at least a one game absence. Lately though, to quarterbacks like C.J. stroud and Jackson Dart, it's been at least two games missed now. So obviously no T. Higgins on Thursday for the Bengals Thanksgiving game against the Ravens. But is there a chance he also misses the Week 14 tilt against the Bills?
E
There definitely is a chance and you can't necessarily predict severity of concussion just based on the severity of the hit, but it looked pretty bad. With that being said, he doesn't have a severe concussion history so that works in his favor and most players would still miss one game, come back the following. So that would still be where we would lean right now. But these do vary as we we've seen as you mentioned with Stroud.
D
Okay and Tara, if Andre Yosavas is up for Thursday, he was also banged up in and out of this game but looks okay. Are you rolling him back out after going 4 for 61 on seven targets, leading Cincinnati in receiving this week?
A
I am, yeah. And that was good on a game where, you know, Joe Flacco looked a little bit off tilt there as well. So he's probably, I would say that Yoshi Boss is probably one of, if not the most reliable wide receiver threes in terms of a guy that we know. If one of those guys go down, they trust him, volume will go to him and he sets up as a suitable wide receiver too. So yeah, if he's out and line him right up there next to Jamar Chase coming back, roll with him as a as a flex options.
D
Deepak, what do you expect from Joe Burrow if he's active in this Thursday Night Football game? Do you like it more than what we've seen from Joe Flacco or is it maybe going to take a couple for Burrow to get back to his usual self?
E
He you would expect him to come back at a pretty strong level here, so usually wouldn't need that much of a ramp up. The concern would be Agility in pocket mobility and protecting himself. So to me I'm not sure it makes a ton of sense to rush him back. But with that being said, I would expect him to come back at a high level when he does.
D
Okay, well, glad to hear that. Also an injury that we had first thing this morning. Green Bay packers running back Josh Jacobs, he was inactive with a knee injury. Deepak, they tried to get him out there in pre game warm ups. They did shut him down. What does that mean for his availability? Also playing on Thanksgiving, it's going to be against Detroit.
E
He's come out and said he's going to play and I don't think you're going to see a whole lot of limitation here. Now he had what they're calling a knee contusion and that is relatively good because they recover quickly. So with all that in mind, I would expect him to be out there. Would basically plug and play him assuming no re aggravation until then.
D
Okay. Fantastic. Tara. Emmanuel Wilson, he was a star today. 30 touches, 125 total yards, two touchdowns, 26.5 fantasy points. Is he usable at all this week if Josh Jacobs is up for Thanksgiving?
A
No, because unfortunately, you know, unlike a Tyler Algier situation, he does not get the touchdowns unfortunately when Josh Jacobs is in there. So he gets carries limited and low fantasy upside. But at the very least here we know this isn't elite handcuff here in terms of a tie that you want on your bench head and rest of season.
D
I'm with you there. He certainly needs to be rostered the rest of the way. Whether or not you roster Jacobs doesn't really matter. Also an injury on the offensive lineup, really brutal one here. Offensive tackle Will Campbell for the New England Patriots. He suffered a knee injury. The fourth overall pick in this entire Patriots offensive line has been awesome this season. What was this injury for Campbell? Deepak, the Internet was anticipating this could be a worst case scenario for the talented rookie.
E
Yeah, this unfortunately there's a lot of risk here that it might be an acl. I would say at the least we're probably looking at an MCL sprain which would be kind of best case scenario. Usually average about two to three weeks out. However, the knee does take a pretty forceful hit and kind of twist a little bit. So the comments from Diggs afterwards also implied that it is on the worst side. So we have a little bit of kind of waiting to do for the MRI result to confirm, but some suspicion here that this one might be a season ender.
D
Tara, could this Injury impact Drake may in this entire Patriots offense a lot like it maybe did with Joe Alt when he went down for the Chargers. Do you think you're taking a whole significant downgrade for this New England Patriots offense?
A
Sadly, yeah, I don't. I do not think it will be as significant as it was for sure. Well, it might be maybe not as significant as it was for Justin Herbert just because they had had multiple injuries that they were dealing with. But this is big, unfortunately. It does potentially make things a little bit difficult in terms of mace comfort in the pocket there and then blocking as well. So yeah, just a little downtick here, unfortunately, and then that'll affect the receivers.
D
Okay. Also, Deepak, in the late window we had Alvin Kamara. He was rolled out with a knee injury. Do you have any speculation on what this could be for Kamara?
E
It's a little hard to tell from video. He did take a twisting type of injury there. The fact that he went to the tent and then put his helmet on kind of looked like he was going to come back even though he didn't perhaps suggest a little bit of optimism. But that is somewhat speculative. So really going to have to watch and wait on this one.
D
Okay. Tara, if he's out, is it the rookie out of Kansas we want Devin Neal or is it maybe taste some hill time? We saw him get a ton of run in this one. Also throwing a lot near the goal.
A
Line and we need Taysom Hill to disappear. That was unnecessary and unneeded. Devon Neal is the one that we want to turn to there and I don't have a lot of faith in the because the run game has just been effective no matter who it's been. But I will say they have a really good rest of season schedule for the run in general and we did see a solid amount of checkdowns to Devin Neal and he was very successful with them. So perhaps in PPR there's a little optimism there.
D
Okay. Yeah, I think Taysum Hill at least may be worth a roster spot, especially because he's going to be a tight end. Right. So you could maybe throw him in. And even if he's getting 10 carries, a couple pass attempts, I might be okay with that in my tight end position these days. So just something to kind of keep in mind there. Also, Deepak, last thing before we let you out of here, I got a lot of questions in the chat right now. What are your thoughts on Drake London? I've been seeing a lot of questions this and I'm sure Tara has on all the live streams this week coming in. Do I sell low on London? Should I take like an Alec Pierce or a Romeo Dobbs? Someone like that? What do you advise someone here to do with the talented wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons?
E
Yeah, it's hard for me to imagine you getting good value for him right now. It looked like a PCL sprain and with that, the average is going to be at least two weeks out. So most players would miss this coming week. It's a little bit hard to know for sure, but you often can see these linger. You saw Brock Bowers and Ricky Pierce all dealing with similar things and I don't mean to paint a scary picture there, but there's a real spectrum of severity here and I wouldn't panic on Drake London because some of these players do come back pretty quick.
D
Okay, so it's kind of a gamble is what you're saying, if you're trading very much for him or away. Okay, so kind of a risk tolerance situation type there. If you had to lay money on it. Is he back in the regular season, you think? For fantasy managers, I would.
E
If I had to guess, week 14 to 16 or week 14 to 15 would probably be the timeline.
D
Okay, perfect. Awesome. Deepak, thank you so much for all the expertise, all the insight tonight. Please remind us one more time where we can find all your work.

Fire up the top five storylines of the week, starting with an explosive day from Jameer Gibbs. He goes Bonkers against the Giants. 15 for 219 and 2 on the ground, 11 for 45 and 1 through the air on 12 targets. Good for 55.9 PPR points. The only player this year in PPR scoring to get over that 50 mark. He out touched Dave Montgomery 27. 8. Tara, where do you have him ranked rest of season? The remaining schedule looks like this. Green Bay, Dallas at the Rams, Pittsburgh and then at Minnesota in week 17.
A
I mean it's so hard not to rank him as the overall RB1 but in difficult matchups we have seen that his ceiling does come down a little bit.
D
Right.
A
So RB RB3 is. I think. I mean that's still amazing right? He's. He's so electric. Been spectacular. The receiving upside is incredible. It's just been wonderful watching him play this year and really hitting that ceiling.
D
Yeah, I think the negative game script and the fact that the Giants got out to a surprising early lead really helped feed into Gibbs here and why Montgomery saw so little action. So I'm with you. I don't want to overreact too much. I still think he's right in that RB3 to RB5 range. I would still take CMC, I'd still take JT over him and then I think we get into a real conversation that next year It's A Chan, it is Gibbs and it's Bijan. Who would you prefer out of those three? Bijan, A Chan and Gibbs.
A
It's. I think I lean towards Gibbs just because of the ceiling. Achan has been so reliable and so steady and rest of season schedule does lean very good for Miami in general. So I could maybe give the slight edge to agent but I don't think he has that top level from Bijan. So I think right there in terms of taking the chance on Gibbs because of the ceiling just puts him slightly above there but I think he's definitely inched over Bijan. I agree a good bit there unfortunately and that's not due to Bijan, it's just team situation unfortunately.
D
Yeah, yep, I. I'm with you there. I had Bijan to fall into the end zone this week on the betting card didn't come through for me. RB5 overall Gibbs coming into the week averaging 20.4 fancy points per game. That was certainly increase also a storyline this week. Tara. Lamar Jackson continues to struggle. He was 13 of 23153 yards passing, seven rushing attempts at least, but only 11 yards on the ground, 7.2 fantasy points in what was a golden matchup against the jets at home. He's going to likely finish as a low end quarterback this week. After being a QB3 last week, he is now on pace for A career low rushing season, 80 attempts, 415 rushing yards, two touchdowns. Rest of season schedule, it's great, it's elite. But so was this matchup. Cincy, Pittsburgh Cincy, New England, Green Bay, Tara. Are you now at the point where you're willing to take 75, maybe 60 cents on the dollar for Lamar Jackson or is it still like, hey, that's actually a buy low target for me still?
A
I think he's a fine buy low. I mean, there's. The problem is, is there's something clearly not quite right. And with the receiving core lacking just in general, right, we rely on Lamar Jackson to really get that upside with his legs. And if it's not there because the hamstring is still maybe bothering him a little bit, that presents to, for us in general, but because of that perception in the way that people are panicking, I do think it's a very interesting bylaw with what you were saying with the rest of season schedule being so advantageous. I mean, we would have loved to see him step up against the jets, but when you're talking about two matchups with Cincinnati, I mean, it's just, it's hard to, it's hard to pass up that.
D
Yeah, I'm right there with you. It's. It's so tough because the schedule's great. I talked a lot about it last week on the trade episode with Andrew Erickson. I'm still at the point though, like, if someone's willing to give me a good RB2 and there's like a Joe Burrow or someone like that sitting out there on waivers that you could run the rest of the season that maybe even stream and get by if you're in a shallower league, I'm okay with doing that. Like, I just, I don't know if that hamstring is right, man. And like, I just don't think at the same time that he can step into the past like, he could. Like, he missed a couple deep shots in this one that just felt like, what are you doing? You know what I mean? Like, Lamar usually has that. So a little disappointing there for me. Like rest of season. Is he still top five quarterback for you think, or do you think you're. You're done with saying that?
A
I still say top five because at the end of the day, he's not the only one out there selling us. You know, we had the, the Drake day where we thought he was going off and that was underwhelming. Josh Allen underwhelming us as well. So honestly, I mean, what, you know, maybe to your point means that it is a good sell opportunity because if we can make something and maybe stream and get better upside with, you know, streaming opt, that's, that's a viable way. But I, I, a lot of guys are underwhelming and giving us inconsistent performances here. So I give him a slight pass on that.
D
Okay. Yeah, he was still the ECR QB2 so the community as a whole, the rankers are still high on Lamar Jackson. We just need to see it come to fruition. And this is really the last time to get out from under him. Right. Most fantasy trade deadlines will happen before Thanksgiving. I know some if you customize it won't. But for the most part, trade windows are closing. And let's go ahead and get to the next storyline as well where it's all about dropping donuts. And Tara, what's your favorite donut shop? Is it Dunkin? Do you have a different local chain? Like what's your favorite donuts?
A
I'm from Houston, so people will be mad at me if this. But it is, it's Krispy Kremes for me. I'm originally from South Carolina. It's always Krispy Kremes.
D
Okay.
A
Yes. Hot sign only on that one.
D
Okay, well, I'm glad, I'm glad to hear that. Have you ever had duck donuts? That's like a very like foodie type of donuts around here. They're expensive, but they're kind of like, I don't know, they're a treat is what my fiance tells me. So.
A
No, I've never heard of that. Interesting.
D
Yeah, look it up. They're fancy. They're fancy. But speaking of dropping donuts, we had a bunch of wide receivers drop some donuts in week number 12 here and I want to know from you, can they be trusted moving forward? First one was Jameson Williams posted a donut on three targets in a great matchup. Second donut this season though, third game under three fantasy points as well. Jordan Addison drops a donut on just one target. JJ McCarthy just 87 passing yards, two interceptions, 12 of 19 passing, averaging five points in the games where JJ McCarthy has played where he hasn't scored a touchdown. And then Rashid Shahid. 0.5 fantasy points on two targets, no catches, one rush for five yards, averaging just 2.9 fantasy points in three games with the Seattle Seahawks. Sotera, which of these widers years, if, if any of them can you trust moving forward?
A
I trust Jameson here. We got Sam Laporta out. This was a painful one. Because I thought we were continuing the little touchdown streak here. But, you know, the difference between him and the other guys on the list is that we have seen him get hot in recent games. He's been thriving in terms of both touchdowns and he's had some volume as well here. So I can. This was a matchup where he should have gone off, but I guess it's kind of difficult when you have Gibbs just showing out to such an extreme level there. So I'll give a pass on this one. The other ones. So the other ones are a major issue or Jordan Addison, J.J. mcCarthy. Unfortunately, I want J.J. to work, but it's. It's not working right now. And then Rashid Shahid be done with it. Unfortunately, it's. It's not him. He should have stayed in New Orleans. Seattle is not a place where the wide receiver three. It's jsn. That's it.
D
I'm totally with you. I think it's one of those situations in Seattle where the pie isn't that big to begin with because they run so much and JSN has taken so much of that. Like the only pass catcher for Seattle outside of Jackson, Smith, Najigba. I'm willing to roll out is if I'm desperate for a tight end. I have to go A.J. barner, right? That's really the only situation I want to be involved in. Rashid Shahid, he's waiver wire fodder at this point. He could join Cooper Cup, Tori Horton, everyone else out there and man, like, you gotta keep holding on to Jordan Addison. But he becomes really tough to play, right? And I've been the person who's gone on the record saying, like, look, we got to give JJ time. He missed all of last season, didn't get practice reps because he was banged up. Been hurt a lot of this season. It does not look good, though. It has not looked good. And it is hard to put like, really faith. I mean, you're rolling Justin Jefferson out because you have to at this point, but you don't feel great about it. So. And. And I think your analysis on. On Jameson Williams, it was spot on because he is the one person I'm still trusting him. I think for a lot of people who are starting to get in that like, wide receiver two mix, I think he's still a wide receiver three, right? Because all the wide receiver threes that Jake Seeley tells us every single week are going to be volatile. They're going to go off for 20 points, but they're also going to get You a donut once in a while. And with Dan Campbell calling the plays now, Jamo has been so much more solid, involved a lot more. So I'm with you. I'm still rolling Jamo out as a wide receiver 3. I think Addison now kind of flirting with that Wide Receiver 4 territory, if you would. I think there's a lot of guys we are now considering over him and Rashid Shahid. See you. So, yeah, disappointing there, but we also did have one wide receiver that absolutely popped off today. The fourth storyline of the week, Wandale Robinson. He opens a final cell high window nine for 156, one touchdown, 14 targets, 30.6 fantasy points. A lot of this coming in the first quarter with everyone's favorite quarterback. Jameis Winston was eighth in the NFL and targets coming in, so he's been seeing a ton of volume with Malik neighbors down just wide receiver 34 points per game though, Tara, to use this, a sell high window that is opening at the last moment here or is this maybe a thing, a sign of things to come? Remaining scheduled, New England bye week, Washington, Minnesota at Las Vegas to round it out.
A
The bye week does present a little issue there, but overall, I'm so in on Wanda Robinson right now.
D
Oh, really? Okay.
A
Yeah, I feel feel super good about him. He's thriving as the wide receiver one there in terms of being very reliable with volume and targets. The targets have been incredibly consistent for him. Um, and we can excuse a couple of the situations, but, you know, prior week with Jameis Winston, wind was an issue. So overall, feel good about him having a solid floor there. You could sell high, but I don't know if what you would get out of him ultimately is really going to be worth it.
D
Yeah, I'm right there with you. I think, Tara, just because now they're starting to use Wanda a little differently. Before, he was always this guy. He could go out and get you 15, 20 targets and he might only turn it into 45 yards. Right. We've seen that a time or two. It's always, you know, in the gambling streets a big issue. Do you take the receptions with him? Do you take the receiving yards? And usually you learn lean receptions in this spot in particular. Now we're seeing him get open down the field. Does Jackson dart help him or hurt him, do you think? Coming back? Because Jameis has been really fun. We saw him catch a touchdown pass. It's been, you know, Jameis Winston prime as always. But I do worry that maybe Dart lowers the ceiling just a little bit. While I still like the kid though, he does.
A
Yeah. He lowers the ceiling and that's no offense to Jackson Dart. Look, he doesn't have to throw. You know, from a fantasy perspective. We don't need him to throw for volume and it's not as if he's out there struggling in terms. It's not a Justin Fields type of thing. He just doesn't have aggressive pass volume most of the time there and that does limit the ceiling ultimately there for Wanda Robinson. Yeah, I wish we had gotten I do wish we didn't have that weather game and we got one more of this beautiful outing between Wanda and Jameis Winston. The world just needs more of this. This is just bliss. Yeah, but it does lower the ceiling unfortunately there with Jackson Dart.
D
I completely agree with you. It's so much fun watching Winston back out there and Nelson in the chat saying, I agree with Tara Wandale could be a league winner. Bye week is definitely a minus. So that's the thing. And I think if you have a manager who isn't afraid of the bye week and will maybe really buy high, I'm absolutely okay with selling Wandale. But at the same time, like I think that bye week is going to be tough to sell him for what value he's bringing to your lineup every week. So good to see that. Also good to see everyone's opinions on the donuts here. Krispy Kreme not bad at all, Nelson saying. Coming from a Northeastern who's surrounded by Dunkin, Shipley's getting a lot of what is a Shipley's Donuts.
A
I've never even heard of that. We have it here in Houston and we have literally like one Krispy Kremes and then it's the rest of Shipley. Shipley's is awesome. It is. But like Krispy Kreme is like there's nothing better than a hot Krispy Kremes. Like just fresh, fresh from the oven.
D
I'm glad to hear that. I'll have to check out Ship Lisa with everyone's comments in the chat. Next time we make it down South Final Storyline of the Week we have a new crop of waiver receivers appearing and really excited about a couple of these players starting with Chimney DK 5 for 44 and 1 on 7 targets plus another punt return touchdown for the kid. That's the second this season. Also, he has scored 16 plus PPR points in three of his last five games. And John Metchie out of nowhere from the top rope, 6 for 65 and 1 on 7 targets 18.5 PPR points for the former Houston Texan. We also had him scoring 13.5 PPR points last week. Isaiah Hodgins, one of Jake Seeley's favorite waiver wire targets of the week, 2 for 42 and 1 on 6 stars, 12.2 fantasy points. Back to back games now with double digit fantasy points, six targets as well in both those outings since joining the Giants. He does have a bye week with wanda in week 14. So, Tara, do you agree that all three of these wide receivers deserve a spot on your roster? And how would you rank them?
A
If so, they do. And when I saw you included this, I was so happy because these are some of these are my boys. DK is like my guy. Love him. I think he should and can be the wide receiver one moving forward rest of season for Cam Ward. And Ward to his credit is looking a lot like we're seeing that improvement we're not seeing from JJ because he obviously didn't get that time. We're seeing that improvement from Cam Ward here. So I feel really good about it rest of season. And I like the upcoming schedule to Matchy. Good upcoming schedule as well. Again, A.D. mitchell has, unfortunately it's another bad outing that has made it very clear it's just him. Unfortunately, it's just him. Matchy was a good prospect and, you know, health held him back. He's bad. Like, this is his time to shine. I'm so in and I'm so happy for him. And then Isaiah Hodgins, I do, I fear he has stolen Slayton's little gig there, unfortunately, which makes sense. He, you know, obviously has great rapport with Mike Kafka. He was in the Giants organization for the vast majority of his career there. So yeah, it does make sense.
D
Yeah, I think I would definitely order them. Like, DK is probably the priority, but I think him and Mechi are probably pretty interchangeable. And then Hodgins is probably like if I need a streamer this week, but he's not a player I necessarily tend to roster the rest of the way. Dicky right now rostered 11.9% of leagues. Mechi 0.5, Hodgins 0.5. That's ESPN roster ship so very, very out there. And I, I loved your, your take on AD Mitchell. It feels like a breakup. Like it's not me, it's you. You know, it is not me. I know everyone likes to say switch that the other way around, but it is certainly A.D. mitchell. Before we get forward to the panic meter, I did want to remind everyone that today's show is brought to you by our presenting sponsor, Hard Rock Bet. Let'S go ahead and fire up the panic meter. Let us know down below in the comments who you're panicking about and we'll rate them on a scale from 1 to 10 about how much we're panicking on them. One means hey, we're not really panicking that much and 10 means it's full blown panic mode. So Terra, let's go ahead and jump right into the panic meter. And I got a couple start up here already starting with CD Lamb. A lot of people disappointed with the drops. GP George Pickens has been dynamite, one of the best values in drafts this season. It's kind of starting to take away from CD Lamb. So what is your panic meter on the former Oklahoma Sooner?
A
It's, it's like a, it's like a five. I am panicked that obviously, I mean Pickens is Pickens. That's not ending his dominant. He's so dominant. Just insane there. And unfortunately it does take away from CD Lamb's upside there. But at the end of the day he is far better than a lot of low end guys that you're putting out there. So we're rolling with him regardless there.
D
Yeah, I agree. Like do I think we're ever going to get the CD Lam that we paid top five draft capital? Probably not. Like that doesn't seem like it's in the cards this year but still it's hard to panic for me too much on a guy that has delivered over double digit PPR points in every game that he's remained healthy this season. Right. He's still coming into this week was averaging 15 points per game. I don't know if he ever gets back to the 20 point per game clip that he was at a season ago in the year before that. I think this is kind of the reality. But he's still a low end wide receiver one, so I'd put it like a three. I think we all need to face reality though. Like you said Tara, that George Pickens is kind of stolen the show and it kind of reminds me if we go back to like 2017 or maybe that's. I think it was 2019. I can't remember the exact year, but do you remember the year juju Smith Schuster broke out next to AB and then juju was never really that good again. It kind of feels like a situation like that. While Pickens is a much better player than I think juju ever was there, there is something to be said about being the two opposite of an elite alpha that's going to draw double coverage. Right?
A
Yeah, I agree on that one.
D
Next one here is from Carlos. He's saying can we trust Brock Bowers moving forward? Tara, this a really tough one too because Brock Bowers we've seen the explosive games once this season. Aside from that, it's been, you know, living in that 8 to 15 point range. What do you think that you saw Evan today and how do you feel about moving forward?
A
You know, in a tough matchup here where we knew that Miles Garrett was just gonna use an abuse. Poor Geno Smith there. This was about as good as we could get there. I would have liked to see better production but really and truly this was just a tough situation and I'm okay with it. You know, we wish that we could get those wonderful, ridiculous three touchdown games, you know, multiple times here. The only issue that we have is that the rest of season schedule is so disgusting, it's bad. And I do think that this Raiders offensive line is going to continue to struggle here. So we are at a mild panic here. He's definitely not our top tight end here. Might not be our tight end two, might not be our tight end three here. He might be coming down a little bit.
D
I'm with you. I think it's like hard to fade him completely. I think he's still very much in that top five mix, but he's another guy that I think you have to have. If you're still valuing him as the Titan one, your panic meter needs to be up. If not, I think we can keep it low. But I, I do agree it's, it's tough to trust. And we talked a little bit about the Vikings earlier. A lot of questions about Justin Jefferson. The Minnesota Vikings pass catchers coming in. Where are they at the. On the panic meter for you? Because while they haven't been great the rest of season schedule, it's pretty stinking nice. Seattle, Washington at Dallas at the Giants and Detroit to close out. So any hope that things turn around for jettison company or are you at a 10 at this point?
A
I'm at an 8. I won't put it quite at a 10, but it's in, it's in a bad place right here. I just. We're not seeing the Progression unfortunately from McCarthy. He, he can, you know, maybe get it over the, over the off season, but I don't know if this is something that we're going to be seeing develop season here. You know, Jefferson still does have some level of a decent floor there for us. Unfortunately it is nowhere near the value with which we were drafting him. And then Addison unfortunately is boom, bust. And unfortunately the bust is just a bad area there for him.
D
Yeah, and I talked about earlier this week when we were discussing Jefferson as maybe a buy low, is that like the opportunities there right before this week he was six in targets. He was six in target share, fifth in air yards, seventh in air yard share, fifth in deep targets, eighth and first read targets. So the opportunity is there. It's just the efficiency has not been right. 92nd in quarterback rating per target before this week, also down into 74th and fancy points per target at 1.54. So JJ McCarthy has to get this efficiency up and at this point I am worried that maybe this is a little bit of a lost season. I think you'll still see volume next week at Seattle if they're trailing in that one. Washington and Dallas makes me happy. I just think there's a chance like what do you have? Jefferson is probably like rest of season like a high end wide receiver 2 still in that low end wide receiver 1 mix is that kind of where we have him but we don't feel great about it.
A
It's mid tier unfortunately. Yeah because unfortunately like on a week to week basis I you know wide receiver 15 ish is a very much so a reality so it feels weird to push him back that far but unfortunately that's. That's about where I feel comfortable with him.
D
Okay, another panic meter here from Nelson DeAndre Swift I believe he was out snapped by Menong guy in this game definitely out touched by him. Swift has been super solid pretty much all season long Tara really giving you a very very nice floor almost every single week and it fell out this week 1.9 PPR points form 8 for 15 on the ground, just 1 for 14 through the air as well. This was a Pittsburgh defense that has been a bit hit or miss and they were definitely hit through the passing game but definitely a little miss on the ground particularly with DeAndre Swift especially getting vultured by Manangai.
A
Yeah this is an interesting one here. I didn't look at the snap so I don't know if it was out snapped and out touched but man I think we're seeing a flip in the red zone and Manangai has been very effective. It's been quite a while since we've seen a touchdown from DeAndre Swift and and technically speaking Chicago told us that it might be a bit of a hot hand situation and you know DeAndre Swift gets the first crack at it so if he starts off great that's fantastic and he can keep his workload but unfortunately he started off rough and then Kyle Manangai thrives so I'm not shocked. It tells us that there will be inconsistency there. I think there will be games where he still is, you know a viable, you know, RB2, you know, low end RB2 to mid tier but at the end of the day the tops the upside is capped now unfortunately there for him.
D
Yeah, I think also with the emergence of Luther Burton III, the talented rookie on Missouri, it also takes that role a little bit down for Swift and I wouldn't panic too much just because like there is the fact like you said hot hand approach snap counts, by the way, 35 from Anangai 29 for Swift. The Steelers, how you attack them is with the tight end in the middle of field and with slot wide receivers and that's pretty much what the Bears did. They got a little bit lucky on the outside a few times with DJ Moore just running wide open. So I think better days are ahead. But I do agree with you. I think the ceiling for Swift is out of there and he's really just, you know, kind of a floor play at RB2 right now the rest of the way. So yeah, I I definitely feel you on that one. Let's go ahead and let's get to the questions. Tara, if you guys have any more questions to round us out of the show, please let us know down below. And let's start with 1 from B5 100 Are you dropping Kenneth Gainwell for Ollie Gordon II? Tara was a really nice game for Gainwell. I don't think I'm trying to get uninvested at this point.
A
I can't. Yeah, I again, you know Ollie Warden's a great handcuff, but Gainwell has legitimate split value in that backfield with Warren.
D
Yeah, I agree he's getting honestly a pretty decent workload and especially through the passing game and he's even getting some red zone work which you like to see. So I'm there with you. Dread is asking in the chat as well. Do we think Tyrod is going to continue being the starter for the Jets. Tara, do you ever read on this? Because it's always tough to see what Woody Johnson is going to do, but based on his comments earlier this season about Justin Fields and how the jets have seemed to play somewhat more consistent, at least with Taylor under center, I do think it's tyrod rest of the way. What do you think?
A
I do. It's it's tough to trust the jets in general to make choices there and consistency in their decisions. But I mean we saw more than enough here that to Rod is the far more competent quarterback there. They they do have to roll with that rest of season just to give some kind of hope there.
D
Would you trade Drake London for Bucky Irving? One problem for another based on Deepak's reports. I don't know if I would Tara, just because I feel like if Bucky does come back and we are seeing that he could be up as soon as week number 13, I don't know if he ever takes the full workload back right. We haven't seen what Sunday Night Football will bring us yet and how the workload tonight shakes out with Tucker and White. I just think it's kind of a three headed committee the rest of the way and I don't really want to invest it in that that I'll take my chances with Drake London. What about you?
A
I agree especially with the comments that they made Jags made about easing, you know, Bucky and Godwin back in. So I mean we'll have a good barometer of seeing how they ease God went back in and that'll give us a little, you know, thing to note there. But I do feel like we're going to see continued contributions from Sean Tucker there and if you know if what Deepak was saying just hold in tight there on Drake London and if he comes back for the fantasy playoffs there that that would be my preference.
D
How do you feel about Roma dunes a from Nelson rest of the season? I'm a bit concerned honestly. Like not only do we have Luther Burden who is starting to get more and more targets, but for whatever reason it felt like the chemistry that him and Caleb Williams had early in the season when he had four straight games of 15 plus fantasy points has not been there over the last stretch right. Since their bye week they've had seven total games and he has only hit double digit PPR points. Only been over nine PPR points twice Tara so I do worry a little bit the schedule, Philly, Green Bay, Cleveland, Green Bay, San fran like week 17 San Fran. I love them there but you got four weeks of kind of trepidatious water to get there.
A
Yeah, I agree on that one. It's frustrating because the targets were. There were nine targets. It's just, you know, when you catch only three of them, it does look like it might be a bit disjointed. I don't know if that's on Rome or if that's on Caleb, but at this point, we have a ton of evidence that, that that might just be, you know, what their. What their chemistry is. And rest of season. We do know that the ball has been spread around quite significantly there. So I am concerned about it. He's moving down in rankings, unfortunately.
D
Yeah, I think I'm right there with you, Tara. I think I'm right there with you. I'm a little concerned and I think at this point you kind of have to keep him. Like, I don't really think you can get fair value out on the trade market if you even have a trade market still open. So, yeah, I'm with you there. Tara, thank you so much for all the great insight tonight. Anything else you have coming this week that we should be keeping an eye out for?
A
We got five moves to make video. And like you were saying, we're closing in on the trade deadline. So this is it. So that's. It's a pretty critical one there for us.
D
Absolutely. Shout to Nelson in the chat, saying props to Seth for hosting most of the season.
