Hello friends and welcome into Fantasy Pros, the Fantasy Football podcast. I'm Chris Welsh, joined by Pat Fitz Morris for quarterback and tight end rankings. We've got all your rankings for your top 12 quarterbacks, your top 12 tight ends, what do they look like? Hopefully answering your big questions. Kind of a streaming market here. Fitzy quarterbacks, tight ends. What? What top 12 do you feel better about your quarterbacks, especially when you look at the bottom half and what those names look like or the tight ends and what the bottom half look like for today?
C
Oh man, I think I might actually feel better about tight ends. Well, I think so too. There's more like of a clear cut haves and have nots, I think at that position than there is at quarterback.
B
And hopefully we can answer some of those haves and have nots for you guys. So we're going to be looking at the big boards here. But don't forget, you can also go and like click on a player, go into rankings and you might want to see exactly where Fitzy has them or me or Erickson or you can, you know, do a couple people. You can actually kind of create your own list when you've got the account. With Fantasy Pros, you can click a couple people and see what the aggregate looks like. Make sure you go play around with the tools. By the way, we'll be announcing our winner right here on the channel, so make sure to turn on notifications because we don't want you to miss your opportunity to claim this championship belt and flex on your entire league. Cannot say the word belt. So I'm not going to be a winner of it this week. All right, let's get into the ranks. Quarterbacks top 12. Josh Allen comes in at number one on the consensus. Lamar Jackson at two, Jalen Hurts, Justin Herbert at four, Caleb Williams at five. Things are changing. Drake May at six, Patrick Mahomes, Jordan Love, Daniel Jones, Bo Nicks, Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray doesn't help when two of the top five quarterbacks are not on this list. That's how, that's a little bit how guys like Herbert and Caleb Williams drop on this. Let's talk about Drake May here for a second. As you mentioned at the top you feel better about the consistency of the quarterback of the tight ends. The quarterbacks definitely have some questions in here. I mean Caleb would be another one where you're just like whoa, he's way up there. But Drake maybe dropping another like top seven or eight start I think really stands out. He's going up against Carolina. It is the only five star rating of the top 12 quarterbacks. ECR six. Erickson's got him at five. Fitzy, you have him at six. I might have a little bit low. I got him at 7. The reason I wanted to talk about him over like Herbert specifically because Herbert's played so good. It's great matchup. Caleb with the big performance this week is should we be considering that you were 100% right in the off season, Fitzy, that like Drake may just might be a guy we need to consider in the top seven or eight every single week and he's kind of continuously doing it and this, this matchup doesn't hurt by Any means but Drake May, you are going to be starting over a lot of quarterbacks that were drafted before him in the preseason and you.
C
Need to get with the program. Welsh, I mean May is tied for QB6 and fantasy scoring and you are just way down a QB7. You're obviously disappointed. You're a hater. No, it's like I feel like Drake May has kind of established himself already as a sort of set it and forget it quarterback and maybe like where he was drafted kind of around like the QB1, QB2 border maybe. A lot of people have like other quarterbacks who are pretty decent, like Dak Prescott types or Jared Goff types and like I don't know, I just think you're playing May over guys like that week. I think he's looked terrific. Like 72.6% completion rate, a solid 7.4 yards per pass attempt, a passer rating of 101.3 which ranks ninth. He just finds the open man and then he's really accurate. Like he threw a pass last week to. I think it was just kind of like a little out route. Not even like an out, but I think it was Hunter Henry who was just kind of drifting towards the sideline and like May had to just feather this thing in. Like he's got really good touch and he adds rushing value. 29 rushing yards per game so far this season with one touchdown run. Like I just think this guy is.
B
Really good Drake, man, keep feathering it, brother. Jordan Love, quarterback 8. You've got him at 7 or no, Erickson has him at 7, you have him at 10. I think one of the big takeaways here for Jordan Love is more about Dallas and maybe that's a better way to say it. The takeaway is that you just got to start. Whatever quarterbacks went against Dallas, their defense is garbage. Garbage. Even though you know the packers offense still has like questions and how they're passing the ball, the one thing you can do against Dallas is pass the ever living hell out of the ball. I really like Matthew golden actually this week we didn't talk about him in the wide receiver episodes as you start to get involved pass, you know, like the big air yard stuff. Adot like that's something that Matthew golden can kind of thrive in and you can do that against Dallas. So Jordan Love, I think based off of just how bad Dallas is, he's a top 10. You agree you've got him at 10. You're just a little bit lower than consensus and you're a Packer fan. So is this self hating or is this just like the weapons and usage and maybe they'll just be able to run a lot of Josh Jacobs on Dallas?
C
It's not self hating. I know the Dallas past defense has been just completely abysmal. The Cowboys are giving up A League worst 9.8 yards per pass attempt. The next worst team, the patriots are at 9.2 and the Cowboys do get cornerback Duron Bland back this week. He's their best cover guy. That should help a little. But I'm I'm just a little worried about Love supporting cast. Welsh like no. Zach Tom, their best offensive lineman, their right tackle. He got hurt on the first play of the game last week against Cleveland. Probably no Aaron Banks, one of their starting guards, no Jaden Reed. So they're lacking a little bit of pass catching firepower. And we saw the passing game struggle last week against the Cleveland pass rush like they were just having a hard time keeping those guys off Jordan Love. And yes, this is a much easier matchup. The Browns have a tough defense, the Cowboys do not. But I just wonder if Jordan Love is really sort of equipped to dice up this Cowboys past defense with all this firepower.
B
He's lacking A Baker Mayfield Quarterback 11 should you start him? Fitzy and Erickson are pretty much saying no Fitz, you've got him at 16, Erickson's got him at 17. It's a bad matchup against the Eagles outside the top 15 to me. Kind of starts to speak of like just find other options and I think you guys in your ranks clearly are throwing out some of those names that are more important. So let's just get your quick take on it. Baker Mayfield does not feel like a start this week.
C
Another quarterback with a very injury depleted starting cast. No Mike Evans, he's out with the hamstring injury. Cody Mock and Luke Godke, two starting offensive linemen, both just went on injured reserve this week. Now on the bright side, the Buccaneers might be getting Tristan Wurfs back, one of the best left tackles in the game. That would really help. They might be getting Chris Godwin back, although who knows if he'll play a full compliment of snaps right away. But yeah, at least Love gets the easy matchup. Baker Mayfield certainly does not get that against the Eagles.
B
Another one, but this isn't going to be you and Erickson. Kyler Murray comes in at 12 on the list. Erickson's got him at 11, but you have got him down at 17, so you've got him one spot lower than Baker. So to Fitz the question do you start Kyler Murray?
C
You say no, not if you can help it. Like this is largely about matchup for me. The the Seattle defense is really really underrated. The Seahawks ranked ninth in DVOA against the pass. They're only giving up 6.4 yards per pass attempt. They have the sixth best opponent passer rating in the league. They have five interceptions and they've only allowed four touchdown passes. Kyler is averaging 6.1 yards per attempt. He has two viable pass catchers, Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison. And it's not like Marvin Harrison Jr. Has exactly lived up to expect so far this season. So Kyler does add some rushing value. But man I just I hate this matchup for him.

This is a real good story about Bronx and his dad Ryan, real United Airlines customers.
C
We were returning home and one of the flight attendants asked Bronx if he wanted to see the flight deck and meet Captain Andrew.
A
I got to sit in the driver's seat.
C
I grew up in an aviation family and seeing Bronx kind of reminded me of myself when I was that age.
A
That's Andrew, a real United pilot.
C
These small interactions can shape a kid's future. It felt like I was the captain.
B
Allowing my son to see the flight deck will stick with us forever.
C
That's how good leads the way.
B
What we don't hate are the tight end ranks. We feel pretty good about the top 12. Let's take a look at what those are this week. Coming in at number one, Trey McBride, Brock Bowers at number two, Tyler Warren at three, Tucker Kraft, Jake Ferguson at five, Sam Laporta, Hunter Henry Dalton, Kincaid, TJ Hawkinson, Juwan Johnson, Travis Kel Kelsey and Zach Ertz. So for the most part we kind of know what we're getting out of those names. Jake Ferguson is going to jump out to a lot of people. He's ECR 5, Erickson's got him at 4, you've got him at 6, I've got him at 4. What Dak proved while George Pickens inability to be one of those kind of just short in and out like what CD Lam can do that he's going to go to Jake Ferguson. If you give him Ferguson, he's going to take it. It did not equate to wins. I think more teams are going to say beat us with Ferguson instead of beating us with Pickens. I think we are going to continue seeing massive amounts of targets for Jake Ferguson. So I'm aggressive on him. You're not as aggressive as ecr, but you still got him as a top six tight end. So that's a must start this week.
C
Just trying to prove I'm not a Wisconsin Homer Welsh by not ranking this former Wisconsin Badger as high as ecr. But and that's mainly it that he just doesn't really do much after the catch like Jake Ferguson is kind of a the classic catch and fall down tight end but the volume 32 targets already this season, 12 against the Giants in week two, 14 against the Bears in week three. Jake Ferguson has 22 catches over the last two weeks. He's on pace Welsh for 153 receptions this season.
B
Wonderful get there.
C
No CD Lamb. So obviously that enhances the target outlook for Jake Ferguson this weekend. As good as the packers have been against the past this season, they've actually been kind of soft against tight ends. They've given up the sixth most fantasy points to tight ends this year.
B
Well, I'll give you this. According to PFF, here are the different positional coverage ratings versus tight ends for the Packers. They rank for linebackers 30th of 32 covering tight ends, safeties 30th of 32 and 26 of 32 at cornerback. So I mean near the worst at every single position that is lining up on tight ends to a team that is going to first read Jake Ferguson first. Jake Ferguson to me is a smash especially in full PPR for this week. Love going Fergie. Another tight end, Hunter Henry, who got ton of targets, ton touchdown, ECR tight end seven. Erickson's got him at 10, you've got him at five. So kind of our fourth Ferguson hype. You're kind of throwing into Hunter Henry, which is fair when you talk about, you know, your love of Drake. May Henry is clearly like the number one. They got all these fun receivers. Diggs is fun. Booty's fun. They just don't get targets. Henry does.
C
Yeah, and Henry is currently the tight end one and a half point PPR fantasy scoring like 13 catches, 165 yards, two touchdowns on 22 targets. He and Drake may seem to have some really nice chemistry. And like I'm not trying to overreact to the fast starts, but like this. This matchup is great too, Walsh. And this is the reason I have Hunter Henry ranked ahead of Jake Ferguson. Like as. Even though the packers are not like, I wouldn't say they're a smash matchup, they have not done well against tight end so far this season. But like, you're not necessarily targeting the packers with tight ends. You're absolutely targeting the Carolina Panthers with your tight ends. Like they gave up the most fantasy points to tight ends in 2024. They've given up the 8th most fantasy points to tight end so far this year. So great matchup and a great start for Hunter Henry. I just. Thank you. Let's keep the train on the tracks here with Hunter Henry.
B
Last tight end we'll talk about is a guy that did not make the top 12 after having a smash week three. That's Mark Andrews. He comes in at tight end 14. Fitzy, you've got him at 11. Erickson's got him at eight. That game kind of cures a lot of it. They're going up against Kansas City. Tougher matchup against tight ends. You tell me though, Mark Andrews not making the top 12, how egregious is that to you? After the week three performance of Andrews.
C
He should be in the top 12. Like stop fading this guy. He is a very good touchdown scorer. It's just the yardage. Like this was I think Mark Andrews best yardage game since 2023. Like I know he didn't. I don't think he even got to 70 yards in any game in 2024. So we can't really count on this sort of yardage. But like you're always getting pretty good odds of a touchdown with Mark Andrews. It's just the production is going to be a little sporadic if he doesn't get into the end zone just because the Ravens are so run heavy.
B
And shout out to Mark Andrews said this before, but my alma mater, my high school, so he's the most. He was a famous person from my high school. We did a whole segment on it on a Discord show. Who's the most famous athlete from your high school? You drop into the comments below if you want, just get a bunch of interactions. There's shout out to Mark Andrews on that. All right, there you go. Those are the top 12 quarterbacks. Top 12. And a little bit beyond tight ends. Fantasypros.com rankings if you want to kind of peruse more. I know tight ends and quarterbacks, we do a little bit less on here. We're doing the starters, but there are other plays that are in and the ranks are going to move. You can check out where we've individually got them, but I think that kind of sets you guys up for the week. And that's going to do it for Pat Fitzmorris. I'm Chris Welsh. Thank you guys so much for hanging out with us. Good luck in week four and we'll talk to you next time right here on Fantasy Pros.

Date: September 25, 2025
Hosts: Chris Welsh & Pat FitzMorris
In this week’s episode, Chris Welsh and Pat FitzMorris dive into their top-12 rankings for both quarterbacks and tight ends for Week 4 in fantasy football. The discussion centers around which studs you can trust, sleepers worth a shot, players to avoid, and actionable takeaways based on injuries and matchups. The hosts debate rising rookies, breakdown key matchups, explain tough start/sit decisions, and sprinkle in advanced stats—aimed at helping listeners make optimal, data-driven lineup choices.
(Starts at 02:32)
Consensus Top 12 QBs (Week 4):
Drake Maye: Is He Set-and-Forget?
“Maye is tied for QB6 in fantasy scoring... he's kind of established himself as a set it and forget it quarterback.” (04:35)
Jordan Love & The Dallas Matchup
“Cowboys are giving up a league-worst 9.8 yards per pass attempt...I just wonder if Jordan Love is really sort of equipped to dice up this Cowboys past defense with all this firepower missing.” (06:53 – 07:59)
Baker Mayfield: A Sit in Week 4
“Another quarterback with a very injury depleted starting cast... Baker Mayfield certainly does not get an easy matchup against the Eagles.” (08:27)
Kyler Murray: Temper Expectations
“You say no, not if you can help it... The matchup really scares me. The Seattle defense is really, really underrated.” (09:16)
(Starts at 12:16)
Consensus Top 12 TEs (Week 4):
Jake Ferguson: Volume Monster
“If you give him Ferguson, he’s going to take it... continue seeing massive amounts of targets for Jake Ferguson.” (13:02)
“He doesn’t do much after the catch... But the volume: 32 targets already this season, 22 catches over the last two weeks. He’s on pace for 153 receptions.” (13:12)
Hunter Henry: Set for a Smash Week
“Henry is currently the tight end one in half-point PPR fantasy scoring... He and Drake Maye have nice chemistry... you’re absolutely targeting the Panthers with your tight ends.” (15:00)
Mark Andrews: Fading Gone Too Far?
“He should be in the top 12. Like, stop fading this guy. He’s a very good touchdown scorer... you’re always getting pretty good odds of a touchdown with Mark Andrews.” (16:23)
On Drake Maye:
“You need to get with the program, Welsh. I mean May is tied for QB6 in fantasy scoring and you are just way down at QB7. You're obviously disappointed. You're a hater.” — Pat FitzMorris (04:35)
On Jake Ferguson’s production:
“He doesn’t really do much after the catch, like Jake Ferguson is kind of a classic catch and fall down tight end. But the volume! 32 targets already this season... He’s on pace for 153 receptions this season.” — Pat FitzMorris (13:12)
On Hunter Henry’s upside this week:
“He and Drake Maye seem to have some really nice chemistry... this matchup is great too, Welsh... let's keep the train on the tracks here with Hunter Henry.” — Pat FitzMorris (15:00)
Set-and-Forget QBs: Trust Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Justin Herbert, and Drake Maye (now in the set-and-forget group).
Start Drake Maye over preseason names like Dak Prescott/Jared Goff due to rushing upside and remarkable passing accuracy.
Jordan Love is startable due to Dallas’ poor pass D, but temper expectations because of depleted supporting cast.
Avoid Baker Mayfield (bad matchup, missing weapons) and Kyler Murray (tough Seahawks defense, lack of WRs) unless desperate.
Tight End Must-Starts:
Mark Andrews: Don’t get cute—he belongs in the top-12, especially with his TD equity.
“Maye is tied for QB6 in fantasy scoring... he's kind of established himself as a set it and forget it quarterback.”
— Pat FitzMorris (04:35)
“He doesn’t really do much after the catch... but the volume! 32 targets, 22 catches in two weeks... on pace for 153 receptions.”
— Pat FitzMorris on Jake Ferguson (13:12)
