Welcome in everybody to Fantasy Pros. This is out of bounds. It is me, Joey P. Joe P. Zapia. With me, my two best friends, Scott Bogman and the rehabilitated, now healthy question mark version of the Welsh. He's back, everybody. We can, we can make him stronger. He's more machine than man at this point. Welsh. I know last week we did a show together. You had a very sexy voice. How's the voice sounding today?
C
And it's about the same. I mean, I don't know, maybe it's a little bit back to normal, but it's the never ending flu.
A
You know what?
C
I'd rather be rebuilt. Rebuild me. Put cyborg parts in me. None of it's good anyways. This is all old material. Let's replace it. I'm. I'm dying, guys.
A
There you go. Well, still very much alive. All of our teams in the playoffs, which is kind of fun. I don't feel like that happens every year, at least not for a while. So our producer Seth is. Chicago Bears are in the playoffs. My New England Patriots, Chris Welsh, your 49ers and Scott Bogman live look last night before the, the field goal miss. Can we get that real quick? This is Scott Bogman's reaction there. Obviously a little sweaty right there. That's not Scott Bogman. That is actually John Schneider.
C
Yeah.
A
Who is the, the GM of the Seahawks. But that's a lot of pit sweat. Like, I know some guys have the pit sweat, but bogs, Right. Well, that's a lot of pizza. That's.
C
That's like Livy. That's like Livy Dunn pit sweat. Did you. I don't know if you guys saw that video over like that level of pit sweat right there.
A
So Scott Bogman, how are you doing after last night's a game where as Joe Pizza. Pia. Joe Stradamas predicted the Ravens would find a way to lose that game. A game that they should win. And the Pittsburgh Steelers will find a way to win a game they probably shouldn't.
C
Take your blood pressure medication.
D
I mean, I need all kinds of statins and blockers and inhibitors after this Game. My God. I, I mean just like to know you're going to lose. And then the shank on the field goal from the rookie kicker was just absurd. It was. I mean my neighbors know that the. They shank that field goal. I could tell you that right now. But yeah, my voice is a little, it's not Welsh level, but my voice is not 100% today.
C
Well, because you were screaming. I've been sick. You were yelling and losing it, losing.
D
It at my television. And yeah, that was. I don't know if I can do another week of this, you guys.
A
Houston, Texas, you're knocking them out in the next round.
C
The involuntariness of Bachmann, like we are 42 by the way. No, but 10 days. 10 days. This is going to be a 43 year old man standing next to me and he is as if he is still 13 years old, screaming absolute insanity. Has no control over the function of his body. When the Steelers do something wrong or right. And I don't know how you can still do it at this age box and you still do.
D
I mean, look, I, you guys know I will not do anything during the Steelers game. It's been a, you know, point of contention in my life. But this is, this is what we do. This is how we are. We're insane football fans. That's why we have this job. And look, that was, I was an all time classic. And then the holy water in the end zone too.
A
You guys saw that stuff. Do you think that that's fair? I mean to bring in supernatural stuff into this? You know that the priest is blessing the end zone. It happens to be the end zone where Loop misses the kick. I mean it is a little questionable there, Bogs.
D
I don't know if it's. Maybe it's a holy water. Maybe it's a rookie nervously missing a kick. Maybe he's just not that good. You know, I don't know what it is, but I don't care why we won. So that's, that's all that matters to me is going to the playoffs and hopefully getting a damn playoff win. Finally. The first time in a decade here would be really nice.
C
It was 100% like, that was like an episode out of like it's always Sunny. It's like they're, they get a priest in the back of the end zone and it actually works like it is the most like you know, comically cbs. I mean, I guess Sunny wasn't cbs but you know what I mean type of television written. I can't believe that that actually happened. Actually, maybe my fa. I don't know if that will be beaten in 2026 as my favorite moment of a priest blessing or whatever he was doing to the end zone and then missing that kick on the mo most asinine way possible. Boswell missed the extra point and then this is a game winning opportunity and he misses a chip shot. They're like, he's so accurate.
D
And he made 89 extra points in a row. 40 for 40 this year. I mean, and shanked that one. Just. He's been a little shaky recently, but he nailed the 57 yarder. When he hit the 57 yarder in Pittsburgh in the open end zone, I believe that one was too. I was like, all right, Boswell's good. And then he shanked the extra point. I could not believe it. Like, this game had everything.
A
Yeah, thanks, Stefan. Is it everything? It had holy water, missed field goals, Justin Tucker getting massages. By the way, Tirico really building that up too. Like, Justin Tucker was the most accurate kicker for this moment, but. And John Harbaugh went out and did a. A search throughout the entire globe for kickers with the right makeup who could kicks in big spots.
C
Yeah, I heard that they're acting like they were, like, looking for a new president. You know what I mean? They're just like they did. They searched under rocks and they interviewed. It's like, buddy, they interviewed like seven kickers that were viable to be drafted. They didn't go through and find, you know, the next. The next greatest singer. Like, it's. NBC has done more work to get new pop stars than they did for a new kicker. Give me a break.
A
Yeah, Metal James is right. Boggs was definitely puckering at one point in that. Yeah, in the evening. That's. That's for damn sure, you know, for the whole game. So now that the dust is settled on Week 18 finally, and the 2025 season has come to a close, let's look at the 2026 playoff schedule because the playoffs, to me there isn't that, you know, oh, my God, this is the dominant team. The teams are the one seed deserve it. They can all agree after watching Seattle's defense down the stretch, really. But even that performance against San Fran was pretty impressive. San Fran was putting up big numbers on people. Then all of a sudden, the holding A3 was impressive. The Denver Broncos defense, obviously, very good. Bo Nix has made plays. So those are like the 21 seeds, and I think deservedly so, but it really is a very wide open Field, which I don't feel like is what we get. So let's take a look at the wild card schedule and how things laid out here. So we have the two Saturday games of the wild card to start here. We have the Rams going to Carolina, which is interesting because Carolina obviously losing record, loses Week 18, finds himself in the playoffs against a team that actually beat, if you could believe it. So whether it happens again, I don't know. We have Seth Diewald, our producers, Bears hosting the Packers. Then on Sunday we've got the Bills and Jaguars, we got the 49ers and Eagles and we've got the Chargers and Pat. So we got the two west coast teams traveling to the east coast to play an afternoon cold and evening cold and then your Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the Houston Texans. So let's have a little fun here with a little predictions of where things are going to. Let's start on Saturday. Welsh, Carolina Panthers, Rams. What's your prediction on that one? Is it just gonna be a Rams stomp fest? What do you think?
C
Rams route, Rams can't be stopped. That's one of the, I mean, you know, if we're looking through and you getting the big takeaways, this Rams team I think is going to be unstoppable. I think they're super bowl bound. They've been doing what they've been doing without Devonte Adams. He's going to be back in the fold. You've got two running backs, two incredible wide receivers, tight ends that have kind of met the call and then you've got a decent defense. I think the Panthers have been playing solid. They stand no chance. No chance. Rams are going to, is going to be a route.
A
All right, Boggs, are you three for three on this?
D
Rams, I mean they're ten and a half point road favorites, man. Yeah, I think think the Rams smashed the Panthers. They have, they're not playing their best football right now. I don't think they're going to be able to handle the pass rush. I don't think they're going to be able to handle the running game. This would be, you know, like Washington beating Detroit last year, but I just don't think that's happening. So.
A
Yeah. All right, next one here is basically a pick them for Vegas. I mean this is not a 10 point, excuse me, 10 point spread the way the Rams game is, but I, I think this should be a little bit more favored towards the Bears. And I made a case on betting pros this morning with Erickson that I thought the best thing that could happen to the Bears was to lose to the Lions here in their own place at the end of the year. So they don't like believe the hype a little bit too much about themselves that Ben Johnson was pissed off after this game, as he should be. I think they're gonna have a hard week of practice and I feel like the Micah Parsons injury basically kind of took the air out of the balloon for the Green Bay packers and I don't know if they can reinflate it. I just feel like the packers are stumbling into this game and the Bears, instead of going in on a big Victor's like, yeah, nobody can beat us. Woohoo. Like, they are not in that place. They, they lost at home to a division rival in a contested game. And I think Ben Johnson, you know, again gets to drive home all week. You haven't done anything yet. And I think it gets heard. So I'm on the Bear side of this game. Boggs, where are you?
D
Yeah, I mean this is Indiana versus Alabama. I think if you're not picking the Bears, you're helmet scouting. I just think that the packers are too beat up at this point right now. Josh Jacobs is not 100%. The defensive issues are large. So I just think that this is too big of a hill for this broken packers team to climb right now. It's a division rival game. Those get weird. Weird things happen. That could definitely be something involved within this game. I just don't see it happening that way though. I got the Bears one in this one.
A
All right, Welsh, who do you have in this one?
C
Yep. Chalk it up. I think the Bears are a pretty solid team right now. I think the packers are banged up. I think this is going to be a big, big win for the Bears. So we're going to route it Bears over the Packers.
A
All right, next up here, Bills Jags. I got a very. It's funny, I don't always have such strong feelings about these wild card games, but I'm very defin. I saw all the schedules. It came out last night. I go, yep, I. I know exactly how I feel about all these games. I'm not going to waver. The Buffalo Bills, or should I call them the Buffalo? Josh Allens will travel to Jacksonville and I like the Jags in this one. I don't think the Jags enough credit. I think that defense is really good. Buffalo's given up 30 more points this year than the Jaguars defense. Trevor Lawrence has played terrific. Josh Allen will make plays. He's Josh Allen. I like The Jags in this game. Welsh, who do you like?
C
I'm gonna join you. I'm gonna join you. If this is in Buffalo, I think I might feel a little bit different if the traveling and there's a lot of cold weather there. Jag's been phenomenal at home. 7 and 2 at home so far this season. I do think this Bill's offense is still solid. Like running through James Cook is a. Is a tough, tough matchup. They don't have really great pass cast options, but Josh Allen always, always keeps him in it. But the defense is not really that great and. And Trevor Lawrence is making do with just a. Not one, but a bevy of different receivers. Trap ETN has been really great. So I think the Jags are going to take this one, so I'm going to go with them and I think Boggs is going to tell us how stupid we are and we have to pick Josh.
D
I don't want to pick the same teams every time and I want the Jags. I should have gone first on this one. Well, so, yeah, I'm taking the Jags too. Look, I think this is the team that is peaking going into the playoffs. The most for the afc. Yes, is Jacksonville. I think they have a lot of swagger right now. They have a lot of confidence going in and they're playing at home. So we know Buffalo's failures in the playoffs, obviously. So it's going to be a tight game. It really could bounce one way or the other. But the bounces are going Jacksonville's way right now. So I'm going to take the Jags as well. I don't like that we keep stacking all of these games.
C
I know.
D
I don't either chance to be wrong.
A
On all of them. We're not. But here's the thing. It's like we're not necessarily going where Vegas is either for all these games. So we'll see Buffalo's because. Which again, I think plays into that strength of the Jags, which is we're not supposed to be here. Still no one believes in us. What more do we have to do? And I think they're going to go out there and prove it. So I think we're all on the right side of that one, to be honest. And I also don't like, you know, that big emotional, say farewell, everyone, could be the last home game of Buffalo stuff going on. Man, that feels like, oh, my God, that feels like such a button on your season. I'm like, guys, you got a game to play. Like, stop with it. Like, I get it. I understand. But come on. Next up, here we go. On to Sunday afternoon. San Fran Eagles. We'll get Boggs first on this one. I'm gonna just make this easy for you, Boggs. I'm taking the Eagles. San Fran has to travel. San Fran is gonna play in the cold weather. San Fran is. Look, they had an easy schedule, just like the Patriots did, and we'll find out who they are. And I thought we would find out who they were last week, and I think we did. I think Seattle showed us who they really are, and San Fran's had a good season. Kyle Shanahan will do something, get too cute. And at the end of the day, the Eagles are not pretty. But the Eagles find ways to win football games. I think this game is an under, and if it's an under, I definitely think the Eagles W here. Boggs, what do you think about this one?
D
Yeah, how do I pick both these teams to lose is my question.
A
So also a fair question is very.
D
I. Look, I'm just going to. I'm just going to go the opposite way and take the Niners. I think the Eagles are busted. I don't think that they're playing their best football. Right. This game can really go either way. I do see a way where, like, you know, just the Eagles run right down San Francisco's throat because the defense is beat up right now. But they've been playing better than I expected to. And I do like, I like Brock Purdy in every pre super bowl game, I feel like. So I'm going to roll with. I'm going to roll with the Niners here.
A
Okay, Welsh, put your fan aside like we always do on the show. We're very good about that. What's your honest take on this matchup here? San Fran going to Philly?
C
Yeah. Bogman's not going to give you his honest take. I think this can go either way. I'm going to go with the Niners on this because I think this is the type of team that the Niners can beat. And what I mean by that is a kind of questionable offense, like the Niners can't play defense. That is like the clearest thing on the planet. Whatever they do, they're. They're unable to play good defense, so they're going to give up some points. But if you've got kind of an inept offense that's going to make bad decisions, which the Eagles definitely do, then I think the Niners stand a chance because the Niners do have a powerhouse offense when it is clicking. You're going to know right away if Purdy starts making those dumb ass throws that he does, game's over. Because you can't. They can't make up for their efficient deficiencies on offense with their defense because they literally have no defense. So that's why I think there's an opportunity in this game. You got McCaffrey, you got Kittle, you're going to have the whole crew. You're going to have the whole crew back. And if they are clicking on offense and able to score in the Eagles, I think the 49ers are going to stay in this. They've been really good on the road. They're seven and two on the road. They've actually been worse at home. So I think there's an opportunity here. I would not be shocked if the Eagles do win. I don't blame you here. I'm going to dig the Niners the three. I think I've seen the spread go from three to four and a half. I'm going to take San Francisco on the road.
D
All right.
A
Welsh Saturday night Patriots hosting the Los Angeles Chargers. Give us your take.
C
The Patriots are going to stomp a mud hole in the Chargers. Yeah, I think, I think Drake May is. He's just, just unstoppable right now. This isn't going to be the Panthers and the Rams, but I think the Patriots like we talked about with the Rams. Patriots are a really, really tough team to beat right now. I think Drake May is clicking. Both running backs are clicking right now. They're out there healthy. I like the receiving options in general. And what's the opposite end of that with the Chargers? They're banged up. That whole team has just been banged up. They can't get lad McConkey going. Herbert, I, I like. What is the line on it? Three and a half.
A
I will check. I believe that's what it was this morning. Yep. Yeah.
D
Still. Yeah. Three and a half.
C
I think this, I think this is an over game. But I, I'll also take the Patriots on that three and a half spread if I had to as well. So I like New England at home over the Chargers for sure.

A
And S. Boggs, your thoughts?
D
I think it's a lot closer than what Welsh is saying, but I feel like you have to take the home team here. I think if New England was going to la, I would take la, and if LA is going to New England, I'm taking New England.
A
Well, that's interesting because New England has.
D
Been the road travelers this year.
A
They've win every game on the road.
D
So actually, yeah, I don't struggle.
C
It's.
D
Yeah, but. But it. This is a massive travel game for either one of these teams. So the home field advantage, I feel like, is way big here.
C
Yeah, that's a good point.
D
So give me, give me the pats here.
A
Well, I think putting an LA team at night in New England, weather wise, making them travel 3,000 miles is a lot. So I actually think this one goes to the under. But I will tell you this. I feel like it's one of those games where I'm. You never think the Patriots are going to lose, but I don't think it's a route. Does that make sense? I feel like it's like they're in control of the game, but it's never like, it's never going to be completely out of reach for the Chargers. But you never really, like think that they're going to win.
C
I think Patriots are by a touchdown with two minutes left in the Chargers.
A
I don't want to take too much out of these last two weeks. He played the jets and the Dolphins and. And both those teams had nothing going for him. Like Rick May has looked great down the stretch regardless in some of these other games. But that Charger defense is for real. I want to give them some credit. That is a very good defense still. So that's a good players. They create turnovers. All right, last up here. Welsh, you could start with this one, too. We'll have Boggs go last. Pittsburgh, Houston. I know my take. What's yours?
C
Yeah, I. I wanna, I wanna be positive because the 9. Because Boggs did take the Niners and I want to be on his side. I'm not, but. And I'm not going to because, like, your guys's offense is embarrassing. It's as embarrassing as the 49ers played this past week. They are absolutely embarrassing, though. The thing about the Steelers, though, the Steelers defense just keeps them in at all times. They have these crazy stops, which is nuts. I mean, obviously T.J. watts a monster. So I think this is a close game. That spread is really close, obviously. But I think the Texans defense is going to be so tough on the Steelers. The Steelers are really struggling with moving the ball. They got. I mean it's like first down run, second down run. All right, third and nine. Let's throw the ball and hope that Calvin Austin can catch it like you can't. I don't think you can get away with that stuff with the Houston Texans. Plus you gave Nico a week to get healthy. I think Stroud has been playing pretty well. I mean, this is a game that I would want to be. What is the over under on this third? 39.5. I probably still play the under. I think Houston. I would take Houston at the -2.5 to win by a field goal. I think this is probably a close game. I think this is going to be a boring game early on. It's going to probably take a big Nico Collins play to open it up. But I'm going to take the Houston Texans on this.
A
To quote Mike Tomlin, if my aunt had male parts, he'd be my uncle. I believe that was the statement from the. The earlier press conference. Oh, Mike Tomlin, always full of such wise words. Look, I'm going to stick to what I said going into this. No matter who won that game last night, I still thought they were going to get pwned by the Houston Texans. Whenever the Houston Texans showed up in the town. That defense is too good. They get after the quarterback. Aaron Rodgers is an older guy. That offense is very predictable. I'm all over the Texans here on this one. So I'm very, very clear about my liking this. I'm very clear about all the. Like I said, I've. Usually there's one or two where I'm like, man, I'm. I'm kind of wishy washy or I'm. Man, I could see it going this way. I don't see that in this weekend.
C
What's the most wishy washy game of all the games?
D
I don't get to win the last game. No, no, you do.
A
You do.
C
I want to hear we should watch.
A
A game to be honest is probably the Eagles one. Because the Eagles are another team that if they don't drag you down to their. If they can avoid being dragged down to the Eagles level. If they put up an early score and the Eagles have a turnover and they find themselves up by two scores early. It's going to get tricky for the Eagles because then there's that little panic that sets in and you're taking the crowd out of it because that is a very tough place to play. But if the Eagles get up a touchdown early, I'm telling you right now, that is a very difficult place. It's a real home field advantage. We saw it last year in the playoffs.
D
You.
A
The crowd is ferocious there. It's a very hostile environment. Boggs, going back to the Steelers, real quick. Let's get your take on this. We had. We gave you some extra time to be in your feelings about it. First.
D
Yeah, under. First of all, let's go.
A
Let's go.
D
Under. Sure. First and foremost. Absolutely. I don't know, man. I live in Houston. My buddy John is a huge Texans fan. We talk about them every single week. They play up and down. Did they not just give up 30 points to Riley Leonard in the Colts? Right. And The Steelers get DK Metcalf back. They just put up 26 on Baltimore here. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that this is going to look like beautiful, vintage Aaron Rodgers throwing darts all around the field and making amazing plays. But I think both teams grind it out and it comes down to a field goal one way or the other. And outside of that extra point, I usually will trust Chris Boswell in those situations. And I trust the Steelers to win close games like they have all year long. So give me Pittsburgh in an upset at home. Finally a playoff win.
A
Finally a playoff win. As of right now, I said Mike Thomas got Marvin Lewis before our eyes last decade. We have some coaching firings now. We already knew that the Giants and Titans would be looking for new head coaches, but Atlanta has changed things. Funny, you know, one. One less loss to the jets and the Atlanta Falcons would be in the playoffs. Just let that sink in. Everybody remember that Atlanta Falcons, if they didn't lose to the stupid jets, the jets would have the stupid first round overall pick in the draft and the Atlanta Falcons would be in the playoffs. What a difference. A stupid, stupid game. Cleveland gets rid of Kevin Stefanski, which I think we all saw coming. But again, I have some thoughts about that we're gonna do later in the show. Las Vegas gets rid of Pete Carroll. I think we all thought that would be one and done. Arizona moving on from their coach as well. So far, Welsh, none of these are surprising or shocking. How many more do you think we get between now and this afternoon or tomorrow?
C
Probably one or two. The Jonathan Gannon one is hilarious though, because. Because I live in Arizona. Local Arizona media, they were reporting like four weeks ago that Gannon was coming back and there was this big in fight happening. Like, doesn't matter. Whatever happens, Gannon's coming back. Stop the discussions, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then he gets his ass fired and he's out and everybody's like, I told you so. I wanted to ask this, though, and we can go through it. Bogs. I know they had said Tomlin was coming back before the game. Had the Steelers lost that game after a Boswell extra point and then the field goal is made. Do you think Tomlin and the Steelers cut sides after that game?
A
No.
D
No.
A
It's crazy.
D
I don't. I think. I think they would have kept Tomlin. I think Aaron Rodgers would have been gone. But now I think there's a possibility for them both to come back. I obviously Tomlins, but Aaron Rodgers is probably going to come back too, if they don't win. I mean, if they get waffle stomped in this game. Maybe he doesn't. Right. Maybe he's just like, I don't want to go through all this again just to get beat up in the playoffs. So maybe that is a scenario. But if it's a close game or if the Steelers move on and, you know, go make a deep playoff run somehow, then I think Rogers will come back. Now, I think he wanted to come back one more year to hopefully Steelers versus Niners in the super bowl in San Francisco so he can shove it in San Francisco's face one more time that they didn't draft him. So I think that is his ultimate dream. But I don't think either one of those teams has a possibility to make the Super Bowl.
C
Still mad about it to this day. Like Alex Smith and Aaron Rodgers. Like, I wanted Aaron Rodgers, Cal guy, I wanted him to go to the Niners.
D
Child. Who would have. Who would have been surprised? Who would have been shocked by that? No way.
A
I mean, I'm sure that Aaron Rodgers.
D
Being a man child. No way.
A
All right. Week 18 didn't have a lot of great moments, but certainly the moments that come away. I mean, I don't know how. It's not the miss Field, go box. You agree with me, too. I know that's your moment of the week.
D
How could it not? How could it be anything else but that? It is absolutely the moment. It's the moment of the week, regardless of who you're a fan of.
A
Yeah, agreed. Welsh, what was your moment of week 18?
C
Well, I mean, I just want to point out we're talking about the moments of week 18. There's very few and far between seeing all these weird players play. Josh Johnson playing. But I.
A
You didn't enjoy Clayton Tune Verse no, Brosmer. I mean, that didn't work when Brandon.
D
Allen came in for Cam Moore. Did you like that?
C
I did. I did learn though, that Michael Wilson topped a thousand yards receiving this year. Wild, which I think is an astonishing just marker. He talked about it after the game. All of our Marvin Harrison arguments aside here, I don't know. Obviously they're going to bring in a new coach. Kyler Murray can go play in the Cod league, whatever he wants to do. But at the end of the day, like, I kind of think Michael Wilson will just be the guy next year. And I hope whatever regime comes in is going to treat him like he can be the true number one. And then a guy like Marvin could be a complimentary wide receiver. But I'm really excited to see it. But a thousand yards for Michael Wilson. Just think about that. Crazy.
A
Speaking of the Cardinals, great poll here by our producer Seth. The Cardinals now still have never had a head coach last more than six seasons. Over a hundred years of the franchise being around. That's.
D
It's crazy that Ken Wisenhunt did not last longer than he.
A
A lot of, you know, success there too.
C
Nothing but losers all the time.
A
There were some. There were some moments and glimmers where they had a couple guys that had some success.
C
Kurt Warner success from another organization.
A
This organization was good there for a couple years. They've had some runs in them, but.
D
I think Carson Palmer leads them in passing yards all time. Something which is crazy embarrassing because he's. It is embarrassing.
C
Yeah.
A
All right, Boggs, what's your takeaway from this week? I mean, yeah, takeaways. We're done takeaways now.
D
I mean, it.
A
Take.
D
Take me away to my death. This team, I feel like that's what they're going to end up doing by the end of this season here. So. Yeah, man, this was. It was a wild, weird week 18 and obviously my game capped it off in the night. I'm still. I think I'm still in shock. I think that's my takeaway.
A
All right, how about you, Welsh? What was a big takeaway?
D
What about you?
C
What about you? Well, I'll give you another. I'll give you a different one because one of them was the Rams team, as I mentioned. But how about this week 18 passed and Christian McCaffrey the man.
A
And what did it cost you?
C
Roll everything. Pull up my. Pull up my tweet. Pull up my Scarlet witch tweet. Just want to point out all the yelling Bogman did at me about drafting Christian McCaffrey in a league and all the stuff. And all the injury things. Christian McCaffrey, you're yelling again. You're yelling again, sir.
D
First of. Okay, but I never yelled at you. Was I the one pulling the trigger? And. And, you know, adding the Money on Christian McCaffrey, I was yelling at you. I said, all right, we can do it. That's fine. And it worked.
C
Yeah, it worked. It did. Christian McCaffrey, what about you?
A
A long time. By the way, that made me really smile.
D
That caught Joe off guard.
A
You did. Because that's like, like, it's like circa what, like 2019.
C
Oh, God. That was. What about you? Most people don't know the origins.
D
Okay.
B
All right.
D
And they don't need.
A
They're not gonna care. They're not gonna.
E
Oh, it's the best.
A
But you know what? It's 2026. I think it's good time to bring it back.
C
Top five favorite story. Top five favorite story. I think in podcast. In my podcasting history was that moment. It happened to Bogman.
A
All right, Welsh, what was your big takeaway this week? We did yours. We did Bogs. Oh, we did mine already.
C
We just did mine. Christian McAffrey, full season comeback player of the year.
D
My big takeaway is Jo memory.
A
Seriously. Seriously. I'm old. Yeah. Mine for this is. I was very confident Seattle would check the 49ers, and they did. And they. They did. Just that. Was Sam Darnold brilliant? No, but, like, he did exactly what he needed to do in that football game. The Seattle defense is good. I. I laughed out loud in the beginning of the year when that eight and a half win total came out for the Seahawks. I was like, what are we talking, eight and a half? Like, I think that defense is way better. And I jumped on it right away. I could not believe that they were giving him an eight and a half win total.
D
I. I'll tell you what, I did not. Because Sam Darnold. Sam Darnold melted down at the end of the year, and I thought.
A
I didn't think they were.
D
Maybe he's turning into a pumpkin here, which is why I never really wanted the Steelers to go after San Darnold, which is obviously a massive mistake. And I kind of thought Jalen Milroe would get in at the end of the year if Sam Darnold had that meltdown again. But he just. He hasn't. He's been awesome the entire season and he has made the whole difference. The def have been great all year as well, like you mentioned, Joe, but Sam Darnold looks really good right now.
A
All right.
D
Who wins the super bowl though?
A
Who wins the Super Bowl?
D
Should we do that right now? Yeah, it's right before the playoffs.
A
Let's do it. Let's do it. The end of the. We'll keep people waiting. We'll do it again. Okay. All right, we'll do it. Okay. Let's do a little factor fiction here. Factor fiction. This really grinds my gears. I don't like teams with losing records in the playoffs. I believe, and this is just my belief, I don't know if you guys share this or the audience shares it with me. I believe that if you win your division but you have a losing record, you should make the playoffs. It should default to some other team in the conference that has a. You'd be a 10, 11 win team and not be in the playoffs because some stupid team is a soft division with a losing record. I hate it. I think it's dumb. So fact or fiction? Teams with losing record should not be allowed in the playoffs. Bog start with you.
D
I mean fact. But it's never going to change because they want to sell their division champs hats and all that with the payoffs and T shirts are cool. Yeah, good point. So it's never gonna change.
C
Yeah.
A
Merch aside, on principle, are you with me?
C
Oh, on print. That's a fact. I think it should just be record. It should not be stupid divisions. Who cares? It should be record. A 10 win team not getting in because some loser 8, 9 team is getting in is the dumbest thing on the planet. So yeah, it should just be overall record.
A
And I don't mind. Let me.
D
College football, we don't need rankings. No, I don't mind.
A
Look, you're a 9 and 8 football team. You win your division, that's fine. But if you're 8 and 9, now that we have the uneven number of games, right. That we know definitively there's going to be teams with a losing record seems to win where there's no, no eight eights anymore. Right. Doesn't exist. Now that we know somebody's gonna have a losing record potentially in the playoffs. That to me is brutal. It's bad. It's bad football. It's bad for the NFL. I'd rather have, I mean it default. It probably would have been what, the Lions and then every team. Actually, no, it wouldn't. They're the Vikings. Because the Vikings actually finished over the Lions this year. If you could believe it in the standings, which is hilarious.
D
You guys wouldn't want to See Max Brosmer in the, in the playoffs. Come on, let's go.
A
I don't know, man. I'd rather see the Vikings defense than I see the Carolina Panthers, I'll tell you that much. All right. Kevin Stefanski was fired today. Two time head coach of the year. Fact or fiction. He gets a job again this coaching cycle.
C
Welsh fact. Just because there's a lot of bad candidates out there.
A
Yeah.
C
And there's a lot of also bad jobs that are out there. So Fact. He will get another opportunity.
A
I agree. I think it's fact. I think the Giants should look at Stefanski. You know, Stefanski is a good football coach who had the albatross of desean Watson and some horrible management decisions and he just never felt like he was going to have the reins to do what he wanted to do there. Boggs, do you think Stefanski gets right back in it or do you think he takes a year off?
D
I think the Giants are a good possibility for him as well because I think, you know, had Tomlin lost this game, I don't think the Steelers would have fired Tomlin. We talked about this a couple weeks ago, Joe, that I think the Steelers would have traded Tomlinson to the Giants a lot like the Raiders did with Gruden to the Bucks. I think that what ended up happening.
A
Yeah.
D
I think he goes to the Giants. I think that's a perfect fit for him. And I think what you said is correct. He just hamstrung by that whole franchise.
A
Yeah. All right, fact or fiction here. The next one packers season was over the minute Michael Parsons got hurt. Fact or fiction? Bugs Fact.
D
I mean I don't really need to add anything. That that was the heart and soul of their defense ripped right out.
A
How about you Welsh? Fact or fiction?
C
Yeah, that sounds facty. I think so. They put so much into getting Parsons here and they, they have not looked or felt the same since. Yeah, but see that right there. I'd also throw out his craft. When Kraft was out, the offense felt completely different. I actually really like that from Hoff who just put that on here. Tucker kraft was like 1B to Micah Parsons. 1A. Like you lost maybe literally one of the heart and souls of the offense and then the. The heart and soul of the defense and then they just turn out the same.
A
Yeah. All right, next one here. The Chiefs should rebuild, not retool. Welsh factor. Fiction.
C
I'm going to say fiction simply because if you've got Travis Kelsey returning, you've got Patrick Mahomes. Rebuilding can take a lot and like is this team in a position where they can go through a full rebuild? Because rebuilds don't happen in a year. So I don't know if you do that with Andy.
A
Hold on a second.
C
No, but that's like a reach.
A
Look at the Jags, look at the Patriots. I mean these are teams that were three and four win teams last year that won 13 and 14 games but they didn't re.
C
That took years to rebuild.
A
What do you mean it didn't take. The Patriots last year were 3 and 14. I'm just saying like that.
C
Oh, I was thinking of the Jags. I was thinking of the Jags. But yeah, I mean is that.
D
But it's that restructure that.
A
What?
D
What? You got the wrong reason. We need to restructure Mahomes contract here so you can afford to fix the offensive line. But see then that is a defenses.
C
And that's a restructure. Because what I'm really.
D
Yeah.
C
What I'm really trying to get at. Yeah. I think it's all the re's over here versus rebuilding because rebuilding is like you're getting rid of Mahomes for picks. You're letting go of Reed, you're getting Kelsey out, you're getting the pieces, you're getting all these picks and you're going to rebuild from that ground up. I don't think this team can do that. Would do that. And that's. That's why I think it's one of the. One of the versions of the Reeves bogman. Why are you holding it?
D
What are you talking about? I don't know what you're talking.
C
Is there something funny about the re here?
A
No, there's not. All right, let's do one more re here and then we'll recap the big winner of the 311 contest. Spoiler. I think we know who it is. It's Riri Garrett. Got the sack record. Miles Garrett, 23 sacks in a year. Pretty impressive. Fact or fiction. Joe Burrow took a dive on that last one there for him. Scott Bachman fiction.
D
He was going to go down either way.
A
That was.
D
I saw somebody say it. It was the fastest get off on a snap in the NFL this season at.23 seconds. He was going down one way or the other. He didn't want to get murdered. So he just was like okay long.
A
They were double teaming him, chipping him. All of a sudden now five minutes left in the game on a first and 10. They're not.
C
I mean I saw a couple times where he Wasn't being chipped and he had some single coverage on there. I get what you're saying. I mean, listen, we'll let this be settled ten years from now. When Mike. Yeah, when Michael Strahan. No, when Michael Strahan attacks Joe Burrow at an autograph signing.
D
I mean, Strahan said it, right? He's like, hey, look, I have the 16 game record. He has a 17 game record.
C
Yeah, exactly.
A
Boo. All right, let's get the 311 contest. And somebody got to 20. It's Scott Bogman. Well done, Boggs, De Henry. Gotcha over the hump there. Respectable second place finish for me. Welsh took a buy in week 18 because he was sick.
C
And you guys discussed. Bogman is the first to ever hit the 311 and.
A
Yeah.
D
Keep me out of it like.
C
A normal F. What did he do?
A
He didn't have.
D
He didn't have Mayfield as a 300 yard passer. When Mayfield. He did it all in the fourth quarter, he's like, well, that doesn't count.
C
He doesn't count.
A
All right, one. One contest goes away, another takes his place. So we're gonna call some touchdowns for the playoffs. Each of us is gonna have three touchdown calls. This is what we're gonna do. And if you get all three, you get the bonus. That's what we're gonna do. So my touchdown calls for wild card weekend. Give me Puka Nakua to find the end zone against Carolina Panthers. Give me Trayvon Henderson and Ramandre Stevenson. That's right. I'm trying. All running backs for the New England Patriots. On a night where it's going to be cold, you're going to run the football and then run it some more and play some defense. That's Mike Vrabel. That's what we're going to do here. Welsh, give me your three touchdown calls for wild card weekend. Or should I call it super wild card weekend?
C
I feel like we should throw a caveat into this as well. You can't use those players again in the playoffs. No, no, you should not be able to use those. But you can use like one of minor. You can't use these players again in the.
A
Why do you always gotta find something that's fun and make it harder?
D
It's more fun.
C
This is more fun.
D
Yeah, but we didn't know that this was not part of the homework assignment.
A
When we're on air, it's like, hey, we're gonna do this thing. Okay, cool. He goes, hey, I got an idea. Listen, this more difficult and Annoying for everyone else here.
C
I can't control when greatness is going to come to my brain. But then it happens.
D
Oh, yeah. Yeah. It just so happens that everything. You're like the house, everything is shaded your way when you come up with these bets.
C
Yeah, I know this is definitely going my way, but the three players I'm gon pick that I'll do, I could just over pick over and over and over and over again. Kyron Williams, I'm gonna take this week. He's not going to be on any snap count.
D
Good at these contests.
C
Jacoby Myers, as I said, I think the Jags are going to win the secondary and with the bill stinks and Jacoby Myers is the clear number one. And how about George Kittle? George Kittle touchdown against the Eagles. So Kittle, Myers, Kyron Williams and guess what? I'll use them again next week.
A
All right, Bogs, go ahead. What do you have?
D
Go ahead. I've got Saquon against the Niners. I think the Niners D Run D is rough right now.
A
Let's go.
D
Blake Corn because Welsh took Kyron Williams. So I just thought, hey, look, I think the Rams are going to score a bunch of points in this game. I think both running backs can score here. So let's go up Blake.
A
I almost took Quorum, by the way. I was like it was right there for me going back and forth this morning.
D
Josh Allen is tired of losing, man. He's going to put this team on his back as much as he can. We're all picking the Jaguars here, but I do think Josh Allen scrambles into the end zone at least once here.
A
By the way, best producer in the world. Seth found out the The Chiefs are minus 43 in the hole in the cap going into the off season. So that's why I asked the question that I asked you. I know they had cap problems. I didn't realize it was that far. They are the worst team in the league with the cap. Mahomes has got to take a whole lot out of that contract if they're going to be competitive next year.
D
So restructure was the right re.
A
That was the right restructure remix, rebuild the retool. I don't know. It's got to be a lot. It's got to be something there. And of course, keep the conversation going. We want you to join our discord over@fantasypros.com chat. Oh, look at this score. So much fun. You can go there, you can talk playoff football. You could talk about redraft you talk.
D
About Drake May was gonna.
A
I told you he's gonna get a touchdown. Stupid phone. You stupid phone. Didn't. Don't you listen to me? I told you. Draft Drake May. Actually, May and Prescott were my two favorite quarterbacks. Late round quarterbacks this year. Both worked out pretty, pretty good there.
C
So.
A
Also, Betting Pros is a perfect time of year too. We talked about the BP shows. They're over on the YouTube channel. They're over on the podcast feed for Betting Pros. But you get a free month of the premium tools at Betting Pros when you download the app with fp. One month, that's the promo code.

C
Yeah, to make it, you can bet.
A
This, but you can only bet on Tuesday after 4pm in the afternoon and then all of a sudden you know you can't do it again. So there you go. That's it. That's the show, everybody. I'm glad that Welsh is back. We missed you last week. Glad you're feeling better and I'm happy for the playoffs. This should be. Like I said, I feel like a fun playoff awaits us because there's not a quite a dominant team. You've got what, six quarterbacks I think that have never played a playoff game in their life. So it's going to be wild, it's going to be a good time and we're going to be here with you for all of it. So make sure you subscribe to the channel, make sure you subscribe to the feed, make sure you hang out with us here and that'll do it for us. But the story of the game goes on for the Welsh and Bogman. I'm Joey P. We'll see you next time, kids. That was out of bounds.

This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human.
Date: January 6, 2026
Host: Joe Pisapia ("Joey P"), with Scott Bogman and Chris Welsh ("the Welsh")
This episode dives deep into the aftermath of NFL Week 18 and sets the table for Wild Card Weekend. The trio breaks down wild card matchups, makes predictions for each game, debates key "fact or fiction" topics, analyzes NFL coaching changes, and sneaks in TD call contests. The tone is energetic, humorous, and occasionally exasperated — especially for long-suffering Steelers fan Bogman after a tense playoff clincher.
Carolina Panthers vs. Los Angeles Rams
Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers
Buffalo Bills vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
San Francisco 49ers vs. Philadelphia Eagles
New England Patriots vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Houston Texans
"This is a 43-year-old man...screaming absolute insanity...he has no control over the function of his body when the Steelers do something wrong or right."
— Welsh on Bogman's Steelers fandom (02:53)
"I think the Panthers have been playing solid. They stand no chance. No chance. Rams are going to...it's going to be a route."
— Welsh (07:37)
"If you’re not picking the Bears, you’re helmet scouting."
— Bogman (09:26)
"Josh Allen always, always keeps them in it. But the [Bills] defense is not really that great, and Trevor Lawrence is making do with...a bevy of different receivers."
— Welsh (10:44)
"How do I pick both these teams to lose is my question."
— Bogman on picking between the Niners and Eagles (13:24)
"Patriots are a really, really tough team to beat right now. I think Drake May is clicking."
— Welsh (15:30)
"I trust the Steelers to win close games like they have all year long. So give me Pittsburgh in an upset at home. Finally a playoff win."
— Bogman (23:21)
"How could it be anything else but that? [the missed field goal] It is absolutely the moment."
— Bogman (26:57)
"A thousand yards for Michael Wilson. Just think about that. Crazy."
— Welsh (28:04)
