Shelby
Is good?
Caleb Hammer
Is basically falling off the bat. You feel like you're giving hand in the back for the money.
Tyrone
Uh, yeah, I don't think that was taking place.
Shelby
It is. It sure is. I had a regular. We would go to a hotel.
Caleb Hammer
What'd you do at the hotel?
Shelby
It was fun.
Tyrone
What does it take to get through your head to stop doing this?
Shelby
You better find me a yacht or a house.
Caleb Hammer
So it's concerning that you felt the desire to put your hands on her.
Tyrone
I was literally on the brink of like, I've never wanted to physically hurt her, but I was like, is that
Caleb Hammer
something you should have to clarify?
Tyrone
It's getting to that point. It's getting to that point.
Caleb Hammer
Tawana. Physically hurt?
Tyrone
Yes, absolutely.
Caleb Hammer

Shelby
Hi, I'm Shelby. I'm 31 years old.
Tyrone
Hi, I'm Tyrone. I'm 34 years old. We live in St. Louis, Missouri.
Shelby
And this is Financial Audit.
Caleb Hammer
It absolutely is. Thanks for coming down to Austin, guys. Shelby, what do you do for a living?
Shelby
Uh, him.
Caleb Hammer
Uh, okay. Cause she has big tits. You sugar baby her. Is that what's happening?
Tyrone
Uh, yeah.
Shelby
I mean he pays all my bills and I him.
Caleb Hammer
So I hope it's love.
Shelby
Yeah.
Tyrone
Whole lot of love and lots of love. Lots of love.
Caleb Hammer
I would hope so. Because lots of love.
Tyrone
Okay.
Caleb Hammer
Sugar babies usually look a little different. Um, but okay. Yes.
Shelby
I used to when I caught him huh? When I caught him, because we've been together for two years.
Caleb Hammer
What did you catch him doing?
Shelby
I. You know, you put it in, you reel it in and he's nine. He's mine now. You catch him.
Caleb Hammer
Cute. How many years? 13.
Shelby
11.
Caleb Hammer
That what you said 11.
Tyrone
11, yeah, 11.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, very good. We're married.
Tyrone
No.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. Why? Oh, congratulations. When did you pop that question?
Tyrone
Oh, God, she knows more.
Shelby
Three years ago.
Tyrone
Years ago?
Caleb Hammer
Yeah. What the. Why. Why have we not closed that knot?
Shelby
Ask him.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, I'll ask you. Why have you not closed that knot?
Tyrone
Benefits, health care, things like that.
Caleb Hammer
What about. Well, it's the impact that you have been told.
Tyrone
Oh, well, I would think that. I would think you have money, but we have six dependents in the household, so.
Caleb Hammer
So. Okay.
Tyrone
Actually.
Caleb Hammer
But if she doesn't make anything and you guys get married, then your household tax liability actually puts you in like a.
Tyrone
It should.
Caleb Hammer
Okay.
Tyrone
Previous years, before Tyrone, I run a lawn care company. This is my first year, like on my own doing it as you have. Just me. It's just me.
Caleb Hammer
What do you make?
Tyrone
Safe side? Eleven, Eight a month.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, okay. Not bad. I was going to. It's kind of concerned. I mean, yes, lawn care is seasonal business. Yeah, it certainly is. But so that, that safe side, is that consistent throughout the year?
Tyrone
No.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, so when you say that's the safe side, is that going to be like the average across it?
Tyrone
It's up and down lower on the lower side of the average. Just to be safe, like I have.
Caleb Hammer
What's your low months? What comes in low months?
Tyrone
Like 10,000 high months? Well over 12.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. So, I mean, it's. Well, that's actually not a huge range for slow months. The concern.
Tyrone
Oh, no. During winter months it's like half. But I have to find.
Caleb Hammer
I said low months.
Tyrone
Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought you meant like during the long hair.
Caleb Hammer
Would I say that? I said low months. So why would I want to know the low of the high? I said the low. Give me the low.
Tyrone
If we're going to average, it would be like 4,000, probably. If you take all 12 months and
Caleb Hammer
you do extra work, what is that extra work? During the low months?
Tyrone
Last year I did junk removal. I did spark on the side whenever I wasn't working doing that, so.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, so you do a lot of. Okay, just random things.
Tyrone
Anything I can to.
Shelby
Random things.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
There was a concern with you, Mr. Tyrone. One, that fake name, we did not assign it. Two, didn't realize it was you. I knew I was going to be Filming with this individual eventually. I was just hearing murmurs for a couple weeks. You were desperate in really trying and begging to do blackface on here.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
What the. And no, we did not allow that. We. We. I have, like, almost no limits, but I would get called out for platforming someone doing blackface.
Tyrone
Yeah, it's crazy. You have no limits and you wouldn't let me do blackface.
Caleb Hammer
Well, because I would get called out. Could you imagine my sponsors seeing someone do blackface and me treating them like a normal person? Why did you want to come on here and do Blackface? You're in St. Louis. I can guess what at least a large percentage of your paying population is.
Tyrone
Was going to be anonymous. You know, not really. So I figured.
Caleb Hammer
I mean, it's. I figured anonymous name, but it's not like your face. I mean, dude, you got a battle wound. Yeah, we know.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
People probably know who you are. That's not a normal thing we see.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Did you blackface walk in the hood and get a bullet in the lip?
Tyrone
No, no. This is actually a cleft lip. Cleft palate. But. So my thought was, if we, you know, get to do white makeup, why not just do black makeup and make it a little bit more fun?
Caleb Hammer
Not afraid of any consequence?
Tyrone
No.
Caleb Hammer
Mr. Popo is very disappointed.
Tyrone
Here's the thing. I am thinking about things analytically, and I know that that's going to get. Like you said, you know, you might get canceled from it, but think about all the.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, you're not worth me getting canceled.
Tyrone
Any publicity is good publicity, right?
Caleb Hammer
No. Oh, well, not when I lose all my sponsors. And I mean cancellation. Like, no one really cares about people who cancel people anymore, so they probably wouldn't have much of an impact. Still, I don't even. I think it would be reasonable, finally, for the first time almost ever, for sponsors to actually have an issue with that. Well, because it's blackface.
Tyrone
Yeah. I did talk to a buddy of mine after it got denied. He's a black guy.
Caleb Hammer
What do you say?
Tyrone
I pitched it to him, and he was quiet for a minute, and he goes, yeah, that's racist. And I was like, it's usually not the best.
Caleb Hammer
What was your take on that, Shelby, when he was begging us. Begging us to do blackface on financial audit.
Shelby
To me, that's just. He doesn't give a. What anybody thinks. He doesn't give a f. Who says anything about him.
Caleb Hammer
And you like this?
Shelby
It depends on what we're talking about. This particular thing. No. Facebook, for example. He likes to just if it comes to mind, he's posting it. And I've had, I mean, family members contact me about it, friends contact me about it. People are like, the shit he says on Facebook is absolutely wild. You need to calm him down. And I'm like, nobody calms down. He is who he is. He's going to say what he wants to say.
Caleb Hammer
What's he saying?
Shelby
Off the top of my dome. I can't.
Tyrone
I can think of one thing that her friend is still mad about. And I said it. What? Two years ago, three years ago, I basically said, I don't understand how people without kids can be broke. And a lot of people got it. People, accountability shit. I just, you know, I don't know.
Caleb Hammer
I mean, certainly there's ways. I mean, that's a conversation. It's not really like I was expecting something racist or anti semitic or crazy. But you literally wanted to wear like an afro and gold chain. This was to mimic a black person. It wasn't just for. I hid an identity. Afro and chain. It was black.
Tyrone
Whoa. I just said the Afro. The chain just came with the wig. So I wasn't really gonna wear the chain.
Caleb Hammer
So this is the kind of guy that knocks up a. Isn't it?
Shelby
It is. It sure is. There you go.
Caleb Hammer
That's what happened. If I'm not mistaken. I mean, that's kinda what I just glanced over and read. You were out there showing titty, giving hand jobs in the back for some extra little tippies a little bit. Well, see, knew it called it didn't actually know that, but assumed as much. And then he impregnated you, then you stopped working, then you got fat. And now he's still with you for some reason. I don't know why. So what happened? What happened there?
Shelby
I think when we actually met, I wasn't actively dancing. I was in school. Dropped out of school.
Caleb Hammer
Every stripper's in school.
Shelby
We started, you know.
Tyrone
Right.
Shelby
We started hanging out and every. Probably a drop out of school.
Tyrone
Most of them.
Shelby
Yeah, most of them. To me, it was more so of like a. We met and we fell in love and I started dancing again because he was just like, you can do whatever you want to do. Because I was you.
Caleb Hammer
Like, you're giving hand jobs in the back for the money.
Tyrone
Yeah, I don't think that was taking place. So I worked at a very.
Caleb Hammer
You didn't do any extra little.
Shelby
They have cameras in the private room.
Caleb Hammer
You can't do anything. They all do. You didn't do one thing.
Tyrone
Caleb. MC frequency.
Shelby
I can Name drop? Can I name drop?
Caleb Hammer
Of course. I don't care. Why would I care?
Shelby
I mean, just like the club.
Caleb Hammer
Sure.
Shelby
Larry Flint's all across the United States. They have cameras in those rooms.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. I'm not getting an acknowledgement of this chain. I don't know.
Shelby
Can't be charged 100% if they find anything out.
Caleb Hammer
I'm getting a note from who I'm assuming is Brandon and not anyone that he has absolutely been beat off in a nice club. So the thing is, I mean. Oh, come on. No, you're not going to be held legally liable at this point. This was so long ago. Statute of limitation, all that bullshit.
Shelby
You've done something I really haven't now. What I did do is I had a regular and we would go to a hotel.
Caleb Hammer
Ah,
Shelby
it was fun.
Caleb Hammer
What'd you do at the hotel?
Shelby
He was like 62 years old. Nothing.
Caleb Hammer
Okay.
Shelby
Other than dancing. My job. No, I didn't think I'm gonna somebody for $700? A thousand.
Caleb Hammer
Not for 700.
Shelby
$2,000 maybe. No, get out of town. No, absolutely not.
Caleb Hammer
Have sex with someone for $2,000.
Shelby
That's if they pay. That's hot. No, I don't care how hot they are. Same.
Caleb Hammer
Huh. If a hot person came up to
Tyrone
me and said someone was gonna pay me to. I'm just kidding.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, exactly. No, what?
Shelby
No.
Caleb Hammer
If a hot woman came up to
Shelby
me and said you better buy me a yacht or a house.
Caleb Hammer
You know, everybody likes to see a blimp. It's just so big you can't miss it. Who do you think you are?
Shelby
P ssy is and good is good girl.
Caleb Hammer
Your basically falling off that of that chair.
Shelby
You can't even grow facial hair. So I don't want to hear it.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. The producers give you guys the one thing every time, huh?
Shelby
No, I have eyeballs so I can see.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, so you're weren't doing anything extra, right?
Tyrone
I believe it. I have no reason to not trust her. So.
Caleb Hammer
I mean you're gonna blackface. You don't even know anything about. You're just like. Your world feels so broken. Your nose is falling off your face.
Shelby
Like I was coming home to him every night and him. So I mean I think he would know.
Tyrone
Yeah, I just.
Shelby
I mean you can tell when he's been right.
Tyrone
That's true.
Shelby
Like you can.
Tyrone
That's Brandon. Even though.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, he's. Everyone's shaking their head knowing the back they've been with vaginas like most of us have. I don't think you Have a special sensing penis.
Tyrone
You could tell.
Shelby
You can smell it. You can tell if someone had sex
Tyrone
with someone in some way. If you had sex with somebody and then came back within hours, you would be able to tell. Yeah.
Shelby
We have lived together forever.
Caleb Hammer
I thought you meant to. Meant in. I thought you meant in general.
Shelby
Okay. No, Okay. I totally agree with that. Yeah. 100. It's, you know.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. You lost me and you brought me back. Okay, fine. That would. That would make sense. That would make sense. In the same evening. Sure. I gotcha. I got you. Okay, so you knocked up a. Well done. No one's ever done that before. Well done nothing. You found a racist or something that makes money back.
Shelby
Honestly.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, but we don't want you to is the issue.
Shelby
And I mean, why not especially? Well, especially if you go back and you save money. I mean, your standards. My standards? A little bit different.
Caleb Hammer
I'm talking about the standards of those who are paying customers.
Shelby
A naked body doesn't bother me.
Caleb Hammer
It's okay. But certain naked bodies bother paying customers.
Shelby
Oh, no. Yeah, totally. That's why I'd have to get a mommy makeover first.
Caleb Hammer
I go to the gym. Yeah, okay. I agree.
Shelby
Absolutely.
Caleb Hammer
So when did you not grow up? How many kids we got?
Tyrone
Four.
Shelby
Three.
Tyrone
Three with her.
Shelby
Three together. I have a stepdaughter who's 13.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, so you have another kid.
Shelby
Yes.
Caleb Hammer
Dropping loads. 20s.
Tyrone
Yep. Okay, 21.
Caleb Hammer
Another.
Tyrone
No, no, that was pre. That was pretty.
Caleb Hammer
Of the kids.
Tyrone
13, 9, 3. 1.
Caleb Hammer
Did he get it right?
Shelby
Yep.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, well done.
Tyrone
Good father. I know something.
Caleb Hammer
How is he as a father? I would be afraid he's beating them.
Shelby
So honestly, that's not a good look. Absolutely amazing.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, well, the stripper thinks he's amazing.
Shelby
And the standards of being a father and a husband, like he'll come home from working 12, 14 hour shifts. And he helps me with housework. He helps me put the kids to bed. He helps me give him baths. Like anything that needs to be done.
Caleb Hammer
That's so weird because I have a whole note from your pre interview that you were complaining that he doesn't do enough around the house. So what the. How are you complaining that about that in the pre interview? And then you just sit here. You're like.
Tyrone
That's actually crazy.
Shelby
No, I was complaining. I was complaining that he comes.
Caleb Hammer
Sorry. Actually, no, I dogs on me that. You're right. You're right. You're right. That is true.
Tyrone
I was gonna say that's nuts.
Caleb Hammer
It was a reverse card. He was actually complaining that you. The stay at home, mother actually doesn't do anything. And you criticize about her housework because she doesn't do shit.
Tyrone
It's not. Not anything. I just think more could be done.
Caleb Hammer
Like what?
Tyrone
Dishes, laundry, everything. It's kind of everything.
Caleb Hammer
Working 12 hours a day is that
Shelby
I'm like install cameras in this bitch. I literally don't sit down. We don't even own a couch. Because he's too cheap to buy me a couch.
Tyrone
I should get a shirt. This.
Shelby
I don't even sit down, like, because I call bullshit. That's all I say all day.
Tyrone
I don't.
Shelby
So now that my son is on summer break and open your phone.
Tyrone
Oh, I'm going to love this.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, me too. And she specifically told me, don't go through Snapchat.
Tyrone
Hold on.
Caleb Hammer
At the beginning. Which is fine.
Tyrone
We live in a thousand square foot mobile home. Okay, so let me let. Let that sink in. How long do you think it should take to clean that?
Caleb Hammer
I don't know.
Shelby
Okay, but you have six people who don't pick up after themselves.
Tyrone
That's not true. Don't say six, because I'm part of that six. And I clean up after myself.
Shelby
You leave your clothes, by the way.
Caleb Hammer
Listen, I. I respect everyone. No. No. So I'm not going to do your no. No. But you know, one of your no no's was to not go through your Snapchat. I have to ask why?
Shelby
I mean, you can honestly.
Caleb Hammer
No, that was your no. I don't want you to feel pressure now that you're on it, but it is a little weird.
Shelby
There's. There's just. If you opened some messages, there's nudes saved that I didn't want to.
Caleb Hammer
With him, yes. But not others, right?
Shelby
Sure. Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Why would there be others?
Shelby
I don't know.
Tyrone
Yeah, it's a good question.
Shelby
Okay, so occasionally. Oh, you want it back?
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, it locked very quick.
Shelby
Yes, it does. It does that.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, well, I don't want to see your news for what it's worth, but I am genuinely curious about this topic. But again, okay, for what it's worth, I mean, you spend an average of 8 hours and 10 minutes on your phone a day.
Shelby
You watch podcasts as you do dishes, as you fold laundry, as you do anything.
Caleb Hammer
It's all. Okay. What about Snapchat for 10 hours?
Tyrone
Well, is that a week?
Caleb Hammer
In a week. 10 hours in a week. The week before was 12 hours.
Shelby
That's our primary. Like our prime work.
Tyrone
14 hours a day.
Caleb Hammer
That is the one app you don't want Me to go through.
Shelby
I talk to him on that app. I talk and like I said, honestly. Open it.
Caleb Hammer
Messenger for two hours.
Shelby
Station. I wouldn't open Facebook.
Caleb Hammer
You listen into Facebook while you're doing dishes for nine hours.
Tyrone
Holy shit.
Shelby
There's videos on Facebook. It's not just on YouTube. There's videos on Facebook.
Caleb Hammer
I love three hours.
Tyrone
When I get three messages, I don't
Caleb Hammer
want to bleep anything.
Tyrone
Reels sent to my messenger within like 20 minutes. I'm like, okay, here's three. How many did you watch before you sent me the three?
Shelby
It's funny, cuz he's working. He does the same thing to me all day long.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, but at least he's making money. So. And then he gets home and you haven't done the tour.
Tyrone
I can't. I can't be making.
Caleb Hammer
Fine. What about her on safari for four, almost four hours a week?
Tyrone
The hell? Safari? Like a browser.
Caleb Hammer
It's a browser.
Tyrone
I mean, that might be. I don't know.
Caleb Hammer
Exactly. And then she's on imessage.
Tyrone
She's probably buying shit.
Caleb Hammer
Imessage for almost four hours a week. So these are not podcasts while you're doing dishes?
Shelby
Not all of it.
Tyrone
YouTube is where she watches podcasts, which
Caleb Hammer
that is her primary thing of which I did not bring up because I was like, okay, fine, maybe she's watching podcasts and that's fine. But the thing is. But it's Facebook, Snapchat messages, safari constantly.
Shelby
You're probably not gonna believe it, but seriously, Facebook, I mean, I get on.
Tyrone
You're right.
Caleb Hammer
I'm not gonna believe it because it's not true.
Shelby
It is. It is. Like I said, install cameras in this mother and install really good ones so you can zoom in on what I'm doing on my phone. Please, so I can stop listening to this bull.
Caleb Hammer
You standing up and not doing anything is still not doing anything. But you are standing up. That is true.
Shelby
I mean, I am.
Caleb Hammer
So why aren't you accomplishing the basic things that he. That the house needs?
Shelby
It's not even the basic things that the house needs.
Caleb Hammer
Also, I mean, I appreciate this watch history. You're paying for my. Hey, Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile.
Tyrone
Are you looking for a beach read this summer?
Caleb Hammer
May I suggest your big wireless bill?
Tyrone
It's got suspense, mystery, a slightly flat emotional arc, and a shocking twist where you realize you've been overpaying the entire time.
Caleb Hammer
Fortunately, though, Mint Story is better.
Tyrone
Every plan, $15 a month, even unlimited.
Caleb Hammer
That's it. Happy ending, zero tears.
Tyrone
Give it a try@mintmobile.com Switch upfront payment
Shelby
of $45 for three months, $90 for six months or $180 for a 12 month plan. Required $15 per month equivalent taxes and fees. Extra initial plan term only greater than 50 gigabytes. May slow when network is busy. See terms.
Caleb Hammer
Oh.
Shelby
But started dwindling away whenever she doesn't watch you. Yeah, sorry.
Caleb Hammer
What are you talking about? It is like she just started watching you. Oh, okay. Well that's good.
Tyrone
Yeah, yeah.
Caleb Hammer
She was preparing. You're right. You were.
Shelby
I was doing. I was doing my homework. I was doing my homework.
Caleb Hammer
It's mostly just like crime videos.
Tyrone
Yeah, it's insane.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. And first of all, she has to watch this because she's watching Body cam. She's not just doing dishes and listening to body cam footage.
Shelby
Yes.
Caleb Hammer
So I know you're sitting and watching. You don't listen to body Cam.
Shelby
That I've seen.
Caleb Hammer
That I can literally seen seen.
Shelby
Like I just know I can hear. Yeah. But I've seen so much of it that I can just do this.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, so confirm she's not doing shit. Now listen, ladies and gentlemen, if she gives consent, if she gives her consent, I'll go through the Snapchat and the post show. But we don't. We're not going to hear. Oh, lots of messages from people. Some women, some men. He asked what are you comfortable with nudes in the bath? Good. Full body titties ass late. What?
Tyrone
Yeah. What the is that?
Caleb Hammer
She said. I know. I said knows about it, but he doesn't.
Tyrone
LOL Crazy.
Caleb Hammer
Hi, you can save those pics, but can you delete them from chat just to be safe.
Shelby
Don't.
Tyrone
You don't have.
Caleb Hammer
You can read it right there. Crazy.
Tyrone
I'd rather somebody else.
Shelby
It's not very.
Tyrone
I go work 12, 13, 14 hours a day.
Caleb Hammer
What is this? But yeah, it's absolute.
Shelby
It's.
Caleb Hammer
It's absolute. It's absolute. So stre.
Tyrone
Can you check mine can.
Caleb Hammer
I'm okay.
Tyrone
I don't know how to. I don't know how to do it. I'm curious.
Shelby
But the housework I feel like really didn't fall off until summer when my 9 year old got out of school and I'm taking them to there's you know like a little rec center that we go to.
Caleb Hammer
That's fine. But there is more time in the
Shelby
day is a week. So we're going to the rec center. We're going to the pool, we're going to the park, water parks. I mean that's just at home doing dishes, scrubbing floors, laundry.
Caleb Hammer
And you don't have to necessarily. But the thing is, if that is his big complaint and he is working 12 hours a day, he shouldn't be coming home and doing chores.
Shelby
I agree totally.
Caleb Hammer
You should do some stuff. Come on.
Shelby
I do.
Caleb Hammer
I mean, dishes is basic. Dishes is easy.
Shelby
I literally do so I don't know what he's talking about. He's got me.
Tyrone
You do these things. But here's the thing. You'll do them and then you wait two, three days.
Shelby
Do you know why I wait two or three days?
Tyrone
No, I don't know why.
Shelby
Because I get drunk and then I don't do it.
Tyrone
Okay, well, that's actually. Yeah, that's actually true.
Caleb Hammer
That's a problem.
Tyrone
That is true.
Shelby
Is it was.
Tyrone
That is true.
Shelby
Was.
Tyrone
She's seven days sober.
Shelby
Yeah, it's only been a week. But before that week it was like a month. And before that month it was like another month.
Tyrone
Okay, what was the month from?
Shelby
From December 14th to April 1st.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, I mean, told this I didn't drink. Not actually by choice.
Shelby
It is. Yes.
Caleb Hammer
What do you mean? Oh, you really are a failure. Weird freak.
Tyrone
So.
Caleb Hammer
So what happened? Court ordered.
Shelby
I got a dui. Oh.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, good. Why not? Yeah, that's good for everyone else around you dose.
Shelby
Not my finest moments.
Caleb Hammer
You've had two DUI moments, buddy. How do you not learn after the first one, you freak?
Shelby
I don't know. My dad went to prison for four years for DUIs and I still didn't learn.
Caleb Hammer
So really, you are hating every stereotype of what is wrong with you.
Shelby
I know.
Tyrone
It is, isn't she? Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Seen you bred with. That's curious, buddy.
Tyrone
Yeah. So who's got the bad judgment now?
Caleb Hammer
You?
Tyrone
Yeah, calling me the racist and whatever and she had kids with me. Now the tables.
Caleb Hammer
It's always been you. I've never had the bad judgment.
Tyrone
No, I'm talking about. Yeah, I know, but he was saying you did at the beginning because I wanted to do blackface. Ah, but now we've come full.
Caleb Hammer
I mean, your judgment of the blackface was a bad judgment, but. Okay, so what were you doing when what happened?
Shelby
What about the first one or the second one?
Caleb Hammer
When was the first?
Shelby
The first one was about five years ago.
Tyrone
Okay, well. What? No, it was four.
Shelby
Yeah, I was on four.
Tyrone
Oh, true, true four. Of course true.
Shelby
It was. It was.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, what a freak.
Shelby
It was four years ago. It was literally three days before my probation ended. But because I had already met all the probation requirements. They closed my probation out early.
Caleb Hammer
And then you went and got another
Shelby
one, and then I got another.
Caleb Hammer
When was your other one, your second one?
Tyrone
3 days before her probation was over.
Caleb Hammer
When was that?
Tyrone
Like five months ago, Six months ago.
Shelby
December. The middle. Just December. So with the first one. I know. Excuses, explanation, accountability. Okay.
Caleb Hammer
Women.
Shelby
The first one.
Tyrone
Yeah. That's accountabilities.
Shelby
The first one, my brother came home from the Marines for the first time, and I was like, let's go out.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. That didn't mean you have to drive. You can go get drunk because your brother came home. That's exciting. Okay. I know we live in the world of Uber.
Shelby
Well, okay, you're gonna bash me on this, but I swear, if I try to get an Uber out to where I live, it's so rural. An Uber will not come out there. They will drop you off there.
Caleb Hammer
Well, then don't go drink.
Shelby
I agree. You're. You're goddamn right. So the second one.
Caleb Hammer
What'd you blow?
Shelby
But I didn't. I refused to blow. Almost. Which actually helped me.
Tyrone
Pro tip life. Pro tip life.
Shelby
Pro tip. Don't blow. Actually, just don't even do the field. The field. Sobriety test. Have I been drinking today?
Caleb Hammer
Yeah.
Shelby
The second one, I was at a bar drinking with my friends, and then we left the bar and went back to her house to continue drinking. And then I was like, I have to go home because will be mad. Even though he literally wouldn't be mad. And he would have been less mad if I had just been. Yeah.
Tyrone
Let me tell you what's gonna happen. Yeah. This is the second one.
Caleb Hammer
I mean, told you you had to drive home to go breastfeed your kid.
Shelby
Yeah. So I think you're supposed to be
Caleb Hammer
doing that while drunk, by the way.
Tyrone
Bust out some knowledge on them.

Shelby
They say now I don't find this. And when I say they, I'm talking about like doctors. They tell you now if you can find the baby, you can feed the baby. I don't follow that rule but I do like the alcohol. The amount that it will seep into your breast milk is like non existent. So there's breast milk strips that you can get. You dip them in your breast milk and they tell you if there's alcohol presentation. So I bought a box of those and as long as those were good to go, I was good to go.
Caleb Hammer
That's crazy. You're crazy. I mean so would you blow that time?
Shelby
They say pump and dump is just for your comfort, okay? Like you're just trying to release your engorged titties. And like I said, I didn't blow. And a lot of times they'll get
Tyrone
me the second one.
Caleb Hammer
You didn't either.
Shelby
I didn't blow the second time either.
Caleb Hammer
Are you on probation again?
Shelby
Not yet. Because the Case we haven't gone to court or anything. Right now I am literally just.
Caleb Hammer
What is wrong with you?
Shelby
I'm out on bond on my own recognizance with this breathless.
Caleb Hammer
How drunk were you?
Shelby
Way too drunk to be driving. Not drunk enough to black out, which is.
Caleb Hammer
Oh great. Oh, that's good.
Shelby
That's good for me, that's good for an addict, but definitely too drunk to be behind the wheel.
Caleb Hammer
So why are you drinking, you dumb. I.
Shelby
At this point, I mean even like I said, I'm seven days sober. Before that I had quite some time.
Caleb Hammer
Why?
Shelby
I was just like, I want to drink before I get this breathalyzer test. I'm not going to be able to drink again. So I want to drink one more time.
Caleb Hammer
There's two kids since the first one. Why are you having kids with that?
Tyrone
Because it's not, it's not always. It wasn't always like this.
Caleb Hammer
You've had two kids since the first one, right?
Tyrone
That it wasn't. She wasn't always like this with the alcohol, like.
Caleb Hammer
But you've had two since the first one, the dui.
Tyrone
Yeah, yeah. She didn't drink. She like stopped drinking after she got the dui.
Caleb Hammer
How long?
Tyrone
Long time. Yeah, a long time.
Caleb Hammer
Year. Two years. Well, that doesn't add up for the one year old,
Shelby
I would say. When he was about six months old, I started drinking again and it ramped up. Like why?
Caleb Hammer
Why did you start drinking again?
Shelby
I honestly, it just started off as like a little weekend thing and then it ended as a stay at home mom bored in the bathtub at the end of the night.
Caleb Hammer
Why are you bored if you're things to clean?
Shelby
I didn't say
Caleb Hammer
mute your phone, you dumb. Did you not listen to the instructions? If you got time to lean, you got time to clean.
Tyrone
Damn right.
Shelby
True.
Tyrone
Preach, brother.
Caleb Hammer
I'm trying. She's not listening.
Tyrone
She don't listen to me either. It's crazy.
Caleb Hammer
One of your Snapchat payers or whatever giving money. Oh, great. Oh well, I guess we'll learn about that in the post show Hammer Elite. Okay, so what's the, what's the financial situation of this house? What does it look like? What's going on? What's going on with you guys? What are we talking about today? Because what a mess you guys are, to be clear.
Tyrone
Yeah, it's pretty rough. This is. Well, with the second DUI we had. The other one paid off, which was good. And then she got this one and it's been since December. We just found out like A month ago that she's actually going to go to court. So then the lawyer fee was $5,000 for the second one and for her to get the little blow majiggy thing that she's got, we had to speed up the process. So we had to pay the $5,000 like now, which came from her grandparents because I don't have $5,000. She definitely doesn't have $5,000.
Caleb Hammer
So how do the finances work in this house, though?
Tyrone
What do you mean? I make the money.
Caleb Hammer
You make the money. How does the spending, the budgeting, the communication, how does it go?
Tyrone
Budgeting is basically non distant.
Shelby
Communication is.
Tyrone
Budgeting is in my brain. I check my, my banking app to make sure I have cash. That's. That's my budgeting.
Caleb Hammer
Why are you still with her? Is it the kids? It has to be.
Tyrone
No, because when she's good, she's great.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, but she's on her second w.
Tyrone
Yeah, it's not good.
Caleb Hammer
Like, what the. Like, why are you. I would have walked.
Tyrone
Okay, so, yeah, I've told her if this continues because literally talking to them, a month ago, she was still drinking. Like, I have a text message saying, hey, I just got home from working 13 hours. She's drunk right now. Like, I'm getting sick of this and I'm getting ready to, like, I'm done. So I even told her I came home one day and she was drunk again. And I, for the first time in our entire relationship, I was literally on the brink of, like, I've never wanted to physically hurt her, but I was like, this is ridiculous.
Caleb Hammer
Like, it's not something you have to clarify.
Tyrone
Well, it's getting to that point.
Caleb Hammer
It's getting to that point to want to physically hurt. Yes, absolutely.
Tyrone
I'm like, I don't want to. I don't. I just, like, I don't know how to say this. I was like, but you're literally hurt. No. You're making me, like, despise you.
Shelby
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Like, well, yeah, that's fine. But why does that get to violence?
Tyrone
No, I'm just saying, like, it's on the. Like, I wasn't actually going to do it, but, like, I wanted. Like, it's just. What does it take to get through your head to stop doing this? Do I have to beat the shit out of you? You have three kids. You have four kids. You have, you know, a decent home life. You get to stay home and take care of your kids. Like, I don't understand what's so bad, what's so wrong that you have to drown out every bit of existence with alcohol. I don't get it.
Caleb Hammer
I mean, I agree with you, but you are concerning me. The things that you're saying are kind of concerning, especially when you look like a school shooter who got lost on the way to school, so still ended up making it to 34 without blasting one up.
Tyrone
Bro, I look fresh. What are you talking about?
Caleb Hammer
So it's concerning that you felt the desire to put your hands on her.
Tyrone
I mean, but I didn't.
Caleb Hammer
That's good for now. So it's good until she takes another little swig.
Tyrone
Here's the other thing, too. She's not. When she gets drunk, it's not a good time. It's not pleasurable. It's not fun. It's not like, oh, I take some alcohol and let's dance and have a good time and everything's fun, enjoyable. No, she's an. She gets ignorant with me. She's rude to the kids. Yes.
Caleb Hammer
What's that like?
Tyrone
Basically, it seems like anything that she has bottled up or doesn't say, then it just starts to come out and it's like, to the extreme.
Caleb Hammer
I don't know if that's ignorant.
Tyrone
No. Because it's mostly not true.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, so she lies.
Tyrone
Yeah. She gaslights. I hate to say that in 2026,
Caleb Hammer
but it's not a real thing.
Tyrone
Yeah, it's a real thing. It's like that they. I'm doing work at home. Like, you pulled up the. You're gaslighting me. No, you're not. And then she'll say things like, you just can't see all the things that I do. Well, if I can't see it, then is it happening? What are we talking about here? If you can't see me go to work, you can't see me pay the bills, but I'm doing it.
Shelby
I'll say things like, you know, you don't notice all the small things. Like, for instance, here's my thing.
Tyrone
Don't do the small shit. Don't do the baseboards when the sneak is filed up, when there's six loads of laundry. Don't do the baby. Why are you doing that?
Caleb Hammer
It's all about cleaning with you guys.
Shelby
It literally is.
Tyrone
Well, I'm very ocd. I'm very like, I don't want Husky
Shelby
and it's out of control. He's a very. And he.
Tyrone
I don't like that dog.
Shelby
He hates my dog.
Caleb Hammer
So weird to not like a dog.
Tyrone
I know, dude. He's hairy and it's Gross.
Caleb Hammer
Gross.
Tyrone
Yes. It's disgusting. Dog hair is disgusting.
Caleb Hammer
Roomba, it's a thousand square feet. Why aren't you cleaning up the hair?
Shelby
I do. I'm vacuum and sweep, like every single day. Every single day. But it's.
Caleb Hammer
You said like every single day. Is it every single day?
Shelby
No.
Tyrone
No, it's not. And that's my whole. Here's my whole thing too. Okay? Remember, thousand square feet, three bedrooms, two bath. If you do everything okay, you get it in tip top shape. Everything is looking great. Now, what are we doing here four days a week? Because I'm usually off two days. Sometimes not. If it rains or whatever, I have to work an extra day. Maintenance. We're doing maintenance. How long should it take to maintain? Oh, you want to go to the recplex, you want to go to the pool, you want to do this, you want to do that. It should take you an hour speed run through all the to dos and then you go have fun with the kids for the next 11 hours a day while I'm gone.
Shelby
I agree with you, but the part that you're totally missing is like, let's say I have the house clean and this happens all the time. I go back to take a bath or something, right? And I come out of the bath and there's toys everywhere. There's everywhere.
Caleb Hammer
Because you're on the computer.
Shelby
Because you're on the computer. Which you deserve to be on the computer, you know, like two hours a week. You deserve to come home. No, you deserve to come home and be on the computer while I'm in the bathtub and like, relax and do whatever the you want to do. But at the same time, I can do those things and also pick up as I'm going. So, like, when I get out of the bathtub, in the whole house that I just spent an hour, two hours cleaning is now messed up. And you're like letting cook and I mean, I'm sorry.
Caleb Hammer
I'm having.
Shelby
My bad.
Tyrone
No, we know. Or it's the fact that you've already been drinking and then you're in the bathtub and it's like, oh, it's me. Bath time. I'm gonna drink some more.
Shelby
That does happen, but especially since December, it hasn't been happening as much.
Tyrone
Oh, shit. Since December.
Caleb Hammer
We're in June.
Shelby
Okay, we're just pull up pictures.
Tyrone
Hey, I could pull up pictures right now on my phone where there's like eight Smirnoff ice cans hidden in like a bag in the trash can. Yeah, you open the medicine cabinet there's three shooters and a.
Shelby
That was in April.
Caleb Hammer
That was just December. What do you think after December?
Shelby
That's what I said from December to April 1. I know when I stopped drinking because I know when I stopped drinking.
Tyrone
You didn't stop drinking though, until seven days ago. You would have one day. You would have one day to April 1st.
Shelby
I literally did not drink at all that entire time.
Tyrone
Okay, well, here's the problem.
Shelby
Not one time.
Tyrone
Here's the problem.
Shelby
I drank before my friend's birthday and then all of a sudden I drank every day for like three weeks. I know when I drank and I know what I drank and I know
Tyrone
I do have bad short term memory, so I can't confirm nor deny what she's saying, but I feel like. I feel like she's gaslighting.
Shelby
No, because an addict knows the days that they stopped.
Tyrone
An addict can also lie. An addict also lies to do their drug of choice. Come on. I grew up around addicts my entire life. That's also why I have no. I have no sympathy for this. I have no time for this because that's not how I live my life. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do any of those things. So my future is not revolving around any of that, which I understand.
Caleb Hammer
Then why are you with her still? I'm so confused.
Tyrone
Because again, whenever the things are good, like she's a great mom.
Caleb Hammer
Good for.
Tyrone
She's a great homekeeper. She's actually very intelligent when it comes, like to book smarts and things like that. She knows what she's doing.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. For you, okay?
Tyrone
No, not for me in general. Generally speaking, above average intelligence.
Caleb Hammer
What's the last book you read?
Shelby
What was the name of that book?
Caleb Hammer
Right.
Shelby
Wanna Know A Secret by Frida McFadden is the one I'm on.
Tyrone
She reads books all the time. I haven't read a book probably since high school.
Shelby
That's why I'm blanking on the name of the last one I read. It was so good too, but things
Caleb Hammer
haven't been good for a long time. So that's why I'm confused why you're still here now.
Tyrone
Maybe it's the.
Caleb Hammer
It's the kids, right?
Tyrone
No, it's the reminiscing on the times where things were good. Also, like wanting to build a future. There's things that I want to do that involve her goals that I have, ambitions that I have that she is a part of, that I also need her to accomplish.
Caleb Hammer
Have you wanted to leave?
Shelby
Oh, yeah, definitely.
Caleb Hammer
Why you? He's the one doing shit.
Shelby
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
You're just.
Shelby
You know how he said it always hasn't been like that? It always hasn't been like that. The other thing that we have had fights about or just like, where I'm coming from, even far before I started drinking, was like, his. When we got together, like he said, like, reminiscing on how, you know, that. That amazing phase in the beginning when everything is perfect. I would say he slowly stopped showing as much emotion and like, the romance and stuff like that. And I know that's a normal thing. I know it happens, but it wasn't something that I foresaw happening with us. So it's something that, like, I've been bringing up for a long time, and it definitely has gotten a lot better. But there were definitely points. I mean, I would say around, like, 2019, 2018. And I remember these years specifically because they were that bad. I mean, there was, like, complete disconnect from us. We hardly talked. I was telling him the other day, like, the first time you told me that I'm beautiful without being prompted to was the day that you proposed to me three years ago.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. You know, you didn't get called beautiful. That's a bummer. You're a drunk at home who doesn't give a shit.
Tyrone
While he.
Caleb Hammer
If I was.
Shelby
I think if I was told these things, maybe. Maybe I'd be better.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, it's your fault she drinks. You don't call her beautiful enough. What the is wrong with you? Have some kind of personal responsibility.
Tyrone
You're joking, but no, I think she seriously does.
Shelby
I do not.
Caleb Hammer
What happened? Hey, you have to blow into a breathalyzer, right?
Shelby
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
What happens when that court order is done? It's happened before, like 30 times. And you're complaining how? He hasn't said. He doesn't say, I love you as much. Like, yes, that sucks. But the scale of issues on both ends, yours is up here compared to him not saying.
Tyrone
Here's what I do.
Shelby
The thing is, it started way before the drinking, like I said. So, yeah, that's a thing for me. That's a deal breaker for me. If you can't show me intimacy and love outside of sex, then that's a problem.
Caleb Hammer
Well, then why are you there?
Tyrone
It's not even because we've talked about it.
Shelby
We've worked through it. So you worked through it, and it's gotten better.
Caleb Hammer
Well, there you go. So what are you complaining about?
Shelby
What complaining about? I've been sober for seven days. That's a, that's a win.
Caleb Hammer
Court ordered and checked via breathalyze.
Tyrone
Yeah. Is it okay here?
Shelby
I can still go to the gas station to get a drink if I want. And even if I did drink like let's say I could, I drink right now and I blew dirty in my little device thing, the only punishment would just be blowing in it more times throughout the day. That would be my first punishment.
Caleb Hammer
So you don't give a. I do.
Shelby
That's why I'm taking it seriously. That's why I haven't had a drink. But it wouldn't.
Caleb Hammer
Ah, what are.
Shelby
You know, I wouldn't immediately go to jail.
Tyrone
Okay, here's the thing. The first time, every time she's been pregnant, she just stops. There's no drinking, there's no doing anything. So here's my thing. If you have that willpower to do that, why. And like she just said, oh, my only consequence if I drink is I just have to blow into this thing more. Okay. So I just followed the order because it's the order. But if I wanted to break it, I could. Obviously you can follow it. So why whenever there's no restriction, there's nothing stopping you, then it's a problem. But if there's something that's telling you you can't do it, then all of a sudden, oh, I gotta follow the rules. It's no big deal. We could do it no matter whether it's nine months or it's two years. I don't understand.
Shelby
Plain and simple, just being lazy. And I didn't want to. I didn't want to stop.
Caleb Hammer
Do you believe she hasn't even had a sip in the last seven days?
Tyrone
Yes, because she. Every four hours or less that thing goes off and she has to blow into it. Whether it's 2 o' clock in the morning, whatever. 10, I think it's 10 to 6, 12 around the clock. So there's like no point where she can and has like a camera on it. So she can't have like one of the kids blow into it. Like so I know that she's doing it.
Shelby
It's actually never been. It's 100% tamper proof. It's. No one has ever successfully tampered with a scram blowing device. However, they have a breathalyzer. They have tampered with the ankle monitors that you wear that can detect alcohol. No, I don't. I got out of that.
Caleb Hammer
You'll probably get back on it.
Shelby
No, I've never had one. An ankle monitor? Nope. Might this time I'VE never had one. The reason that I have the breathalyzer is in place of the monitor because it's summer and I wanted to take my kids swimming and you can't submerge that thing. So this is still, you know, it puts a strain on the whole family. It's.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah. Cause you're a horrible mother.
Shelby
I understand. Yeah, totally.
Tyrone
When I said like if I leave, if I'm taking the kids and the only way you're going to see them is if you have this vice.
Shelby
So that's actually what it's mostly used for is like custody battles.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. So, yeah, you're a piece of. But I'm being told, not on my
Shelby
good days, shut the up.
Caleb Hammer
But I'm being told in your end, Tyrone, that you consider yourself Robin Hood. I don't see how cutting grass is in Robin Hood. What is this Robin Hood you steal from. Steal from who? To give to who? What the are you talking about?
Tyrone
So, I mean, we'd have to get into some of the debt related stuff on that end.
Caleb Hammer
He steals from companies, slash the government and gives back to himself. What does that even mean?
Tyrone
I don't steal from the government. I'll follow all legalities involved with any kind of application processes or requirements for assistance. First of all, you pay your taxes about that. Okay, well, taxes, huh?
Caleb Hammer
That would be it.
Tyrone
It's been like four years.
Caleb Hammer
Wrong with you.
Tyrone
3.
Caleb Hammer
The is wrong with you.
Tyrone
Okay.
Caleb Hammer
You own a house?
Tyrone
Yes.
Caleb Hammer
I hope they take it.
Tyrone
No, they won't.
Caleb Hammer
They could.
Tyrone
They could, but they won't.
Caleb Hammer
I hope they will.
Tyrone
They won't.
Caleb Hammer
Why do you know?
Tyrone
Just because I know.
Caleb Hammer
Nope.
Tyrone
Yeah, yeah. See, I think you like operate out of like a, you know, carrot and stick mentality. You're more afraid of the stick and the IR and the, the guys with the guns. Your favorite saying. I, I just don't, I don't care.
Caleb Hammer
You don't care if they take your house?
Tyrone
They're not going to take my house.
Caleb Hammer
They might take your house.
Tyrone
No, they won't.
Caleb Hammer
If the police do come, he told us, I ain't going down without a fight. So when I first started this, you know, the taxes got complicated quickly. I thought I paid enough for my first year doing YouTube. I didn't. Found out a couple years later.
Tyrone
Did you? Yeah, so. So you let her in? The note you filed though.
Caleb Hammer
Yes.
Tyrone
Yeah. See, you're on the radar. Problem number one.
Caleb Hammer
Well, I think you're on the radar now. Problem number two.
Tyrone
Yeah, I don't think Tyrone is going to be on the radar?
Caleb Hammer
Yeah. Tyrone. So not even.
Tyrone
No, this year. This year I will have to file.
Caleb Hammer
Well, there you go. So you'll be on the radar.
Shelby
Yeah.
Tyrone
I've never made enough to where like
Caleb Hammer
I would have paying for bills last few years then.
Tyrone
I mean I was working.
Caleb Hammer
But you never made enough to pay taxes. That doesn't make sense.
Tyrone
Well, so when I'm. We used to mow, I would mow for cash. Like it wouldn't be. I would work for someone else, but it would be for cash.
Caleb Hammer
You certainly didn't claim.
Tyrone
Or they would 1099 me and I just wouldn't claim.
Caleb Hammer
Are you getting government benefits?
Tyrone
She does. I don't.
Caleb Hammer
You guys aren't married. What benefits are you getting?
Shelby
Bingo. I get food stamps and medic for all the kids.
Caleb Hammer
Mind you, when a six figure household.
Tyrone
Six figures? No, because that is only.
Caleb Hammer
You average out to $11,800.
Tyrone
No, I do not. During. This is the first year that I've ever made that. And this just started in April.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, then you can't tell me what average is that.
Tyrone
I have a consistent client list, so yes, it does average that.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, for a couple months. You have a consistent.
Tyrone
Exactly. So no, I've been building this client list over the last three or four years. You don't start a business and have.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, then it didn't go from 0 to 11. So you've been making decent money for a while.
Tyrone
Yes.
Caleb Hammer
So mind you, nearly six figures for a while in the house. What are you talking about? If it's a consistent scientist, you should have been near that six figures for a while. Because you're well over it today.
Tyrone
Last year. Okay, so I would have to rent equipment for my old boss on the weekends to do the few yards that I had. So it was like not even anything close to making six figures or anything like that. Okay, I was going to. I mean it was a whole nother rabbit hole. But I was going to purchase his company from him two years ago, I think.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, well regardless of all that, let's just pretend you weren't. Well, you are now and that is disgusting. If that maintains through next year.
Tyrone
Yeah, but it won't be six figures still.
Caleb Hammer
What?
Tyrone
Because we only. I can only Mow average of 29 weeks a year. That's the mowing season. And then once that falls off, I don't.
Caleb Hammer
So what do I actually put as your average then?
Tyrone
I told you it would probably be. I mean whenever I get side jobs I probably still make four to six thousand dollars a month extra on top like worst on off season.
Caleb Hammer
So what is the monthly average? I should put ish.
Tyrone
What's 29 weeks? 29 divided by 4 12, 6. 24.
Shelby
I mean it's hard to say because the.
Tyrone
The probably 70,000 a year. Maybe a little winter.
Caleb Hammer
Then why the should she be having stamps?
Tyrone
I think the dependence is the big thing. I don't know.
Caleb Hammer
Well, yes. With claiming them.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Shelby
I have three dependents.
Caleb Hammer
You claim them with the zero income.
Tyrone
Because she works for my company.
Shelby
What?
Tyrone
Yeah, I work for my company.
Caleb Hammer
Why didn't you tell me that when I said what are you doing for a living? How am I supposed to go off of information I don't have?
Tyrone
She's a stay at home mom. But she works for my company.
Shelby
Yeah,
Tyrone
for tax purposes.
Caleb Hammer
And what do you make?
Shelby
20?
Tyrone
You did 25 last year.
Caleb Hammer
Is this an additional to your 70 a year?
Tyrone
No.
Shelby
No.
Caleb Hammer
What the are we doing, guys? Just end the federal government. End all benefits. This shit's crazy. I'm so done. This show has turned me into the the most pessimistic mother.
Tyrone
I used to be.
Caleb Hammer
So pro benefits even two years ago. And now it's just like every single one of you mother. This is crazy.
Tyrone
Yeah. So here's the thing too. Tax. Tax code. Your children, if they're of a certain age, can work for your company.
Caleb Hammer
Oh my.
Tyrone
You pay them up to $15,000 a year. So you can go ahead and add 15 plus 15 to that as well. That certain age deductible.
Caleb Hammer
What is that?
Tyrone
I mean, my son's nine. He helps me cut grass. Why is a kid that young working so slowly?
Caleb Hammer
Do I even care about your family? Because you're playing Russian roulette with their future. You're spending five dollars a day on BS Energy drinks and churros. That is two grand a year to put one foot in the grave. Although your family has zero protection if something happens to you. Make it make sense, bro. But everyone just deletes it because it's way too complicated to use. So you go to everydollar. That's Dave Ramsey. The personal finance guy.
Shelby
Right.
Caleb Hammer
Well they're gonna force you to use it his way. That's not very personal. Finances. Rocket Money. They got a lot of commercials. But they're owned by Rocket Mortgage. Guess what they want to sell you in the end. Then there's the new guy on the block. Monarch. Hundreds of millions of dollars of private equity raising so far. But private equity doesn't have the best track record when it comes to private data. That's why I like Dollarwise Build Play. These people just like you for people just like you. No private equity. No gimmicks. Just the best budgeting app there is. Download it now. Start the free trial dollar wise link in the description below.
Tyrone
My daughter's 13. She helps me cut grass. My two youngest kids. They can be, you know, models for advertising.
Caleb Hammer
You think this can survive an audit? If you get audited?
Tyrone
Yeah. 100%. It's. It's a. It's a tax code. 000 a year per child. Which is tax free for them and tax deductible for me. You.
Caleb Hammer
You've ran this past the CPA?
Tyrone
Yes. Okay. Yeah. Brandon. Fact check.
Caleb Hammer
I'm 100% sure.
Tyrone
Fact checking?
Caleb Hammer
He's not the fact check guy.
Tyrone
Linzo. Pull it up.
Caleb Hammer
Yes. Linzo. Okay. I don't know. We can look at it later. But I'm very glad sitting here.
Tyrone
Theoretically what you could do is if you pay your children that money. I mean you obviously have to make a certain income here. But what they do with their money doesn't matter. So theoretically you have taxes. They could pay bills for you.
Caleb Hammer
And yet you're getting the child tax credit still. So I'm funding that. You're welcome.
Tyrone
Yes. Thank you.
Caleb Hammer
And you're appreciated filing taxes. And you get food stamps on top of that. Plus Medicaid. So.
Shelby
Oh.
Caleb Hammer
I hate everything. That is the way we have set this up. Yeah. Yeah. We're dependents.
Tyrone
The entire 200 billion yearly SNAP budget is the problem. But not the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of billions of subsidies that go to corporations. But yes. The little guys.
Caleb Hammer
Well, subsidies isn't money going to them typically. Subsidies is usually. Usually it's tax benefits. So it's money they're not giving.
Tyrone
Right.
Caleb Hammer
Food stamps is still money going out.
Tyrone
Right.
Caleb Hammer
So it is different. You can't Compare them one to one.
Tyrone
It's not one to one.
Caleb Hammer
Well, then you just made the one to one to example.
Tyrone
No.
Caleb Hammer
And you know those subsidies are usually set up in place for them to build like a corporate campus so they employ more people. Usually.
Tyrone
It's fine to a certain degree.
Caleb Hammer
It still puts more money in the system because they bring in more employees. They have to pay payroll taxes on that on both ends. So what are you talking about? At least what that.
Tyrone
Oil and gas. Let's use oil and gas for an example. How much revenue did they generate and how much of that revenue was profit? You're telling me that they deserve a $700 billion deduction or subsidy or whatever you want to call it to grow their business. When you make that much money, you can't fund your own business advancement.
Caleb Hammer
I don't know about necessarily deserve, but I would still rather have money go to something that does create jobs which actually provides a benefit.
Tyrone
I mean, the SNAP program can only
Caleb Hammer
buy food than people who literally do nothing can only buy ass and just. Just get.
Tyrone
SNAP can only buy food.
Caleb Hammer
She also gets Medicaid and she gets the child tax credit. No child tax credits too. Literally just the money in her pocket.
Tyrone
How many countries pay for people to have children? You want the pop. What's the population decline in all these other countries matter?
Caleb Hammer
That is never once helped. Anytime benefits have been provided for having kids, it has never improved the situation. It happened for a year in Hungary and then it fell back down. So that's not even actually benefiting the overall issue. It's a populist policy. It's populism. And populism isn't necessarily good. It just gets votes. Not a bad one, huh?
Tyrone
It's not a bad one.
Caleb Hammer
Not a bad one for you guys. You guys are takers, not givers.
Tyrone
Oh.
Shelby
Even if we were to get married,
Caleb Hammer
so do I agree with every tax credit? No, but I would still rather if I have to choose between someone who literally does nothing and just gets shit versus creating jobs that at least help communities, I would choose that.
Tyrone
Oh, crazy.
Caleb Hammer
That doesn't mean I'm like super pro subsidy.
Tyrone
I have a job that helps communities. Right.
Caleb Hammer
You haven't filed your taxes. You only employ yourself.
Tyrone
I will this year. And guess What? I'll pay $0.
Caleb Hammer
Why?
Tyrone
I just explained to you how I'll do it.
Caleb Hammer
So you're okay with the tax subsidies?
Tyrone
Exactly.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. So you're okay?
Tyrone
Yeah. Here's my point though. I'm okay. I'm at this level of the socioeconomic ladder Right. I'm down here, average wealth class, whether I make. Yeah. Whatever it is, I'm going to play. The benefits that are down here, the loopholes that exist, I'm going to use.
Caleb Hammer
Then why complain about that for others
Tyrone
once my ladder goes using as an example that I'm just doing the same thing, but I'm doing it from down here. Oh, I hate the poor people because they're abusing the system. Oh.
Caleb Hammer
But I don't hate the rich people
Tyrone
who are abusing the system. You see what I'm saying?
Caleb Hammer
I didn't say that. I said if I have to choose one to one. I just said I'm against both. But if I have. If you're making the one to one example, I'm choosing the one that at least creates jobs. I wasn't defending either.
Tyrone
Okay.
Caleb Hammer
But I would still rather do something that contributes to the overall system versus you that just mooches.
Shelby
I mean. Well, the thing is too, I plugged all the numbers into ChatGPT, what he makes monthly or whatever, you know, stripper
Caleb Hammer
used chatgpt, ladies and gentlemen.
Shelby
Yeah, there you go. And even if we were to get married, the food stamps and the Medicaid would remain about the same because of the off season where he doesn't make much money for a.
Caleb Hammer
So because if you do a business that isn't actually successful, we should fund you.
Shelby
Yeah. Thank you so much.
Caleb Hammer
That's interesting. Usually you just.
Shelby
It's not that it's not successful, it's
Caleb Hammer
starting your own business to go get another job.
Shelby
Starting your own business always takes time. In the first two years it does.
Caleb Hammer
But you're taking on that risk yourself.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Shelby
Which we did. And this is now. This year is going good. So this year we're going to pay
Caleb Hammer
to fund your risk. Isn't that on you?
Tyrone
You're not funding my risk though we
Caleb Hammer
kind of are by putting food on the table and making sure they're taking seen and plus the child tax credit. So there's this literally money in your pocket. So yes, we actually are.
Tyrone
Are you're funding her.
Caleb Hammer
But even if you unjointly like she said, thanks to Chat GPT, your benefits would stay the same even with your business because the off season.
Tyrone
Okay, you just take the risk of my own company and I went and worked for some minimum wage job because that's let's say that's all that I could qualify for.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah.
Tyrone
Nothing changes.
Caleb Hammer
Well, that's always you choosing to get a job, but you choosing to do your business that isn't Successful is us essentially subsidizing that. It is a little different in the end because here's the reality in capitalism.
Tyrone
Yeah, but I don't.
Caleb Hammer
Here's the reality.
Tyrone
I don't do nothing. Reality in the off season, I don't do nothing. I get it.
Caleb Hammer
Capitalism, the excitement is, if you start a business and you're wildly successful, I want you to reap the rewards. But if you start the business and you fail, that's also on you. That's the risk of it. That's why we celebrate your reward and success. Because you did the sacrifice where you may have lost everything. Why should we then actually say, you know what, if you lose everything, no worries, we'll just fund you. That makes no sense. Go get a job like everyone else.
Tyrone
I do when I'm not working sometimes.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, when you're not working. So which brings you to the 70,000 hours a year.
Shelby
Right? Right.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, so you're close to the median household income. I'm sure St. Louis is a little lower.
Tyrone
Okay, let's talk about median household income. How many. How many millionaires and billionaires are in the United States? Do you think that skews the median household income?
Caleb Hammer
Well, that's why medians there excuse the average much more aggressively. That's why we use median.
Tyrone
Right? Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
So median's better way to get.
Tyrone
Yeah, but I feel like there's more people who aren't making the. The median household income. Then that's what's listed.
Caleb Hammer
What do you think just median is medians to get a mean median motion. We would rather do that than the average, though, so at least we have something to work with here, buddy.
Tyrone
Yeah, but I think those numbers are skewed. I know a lot more people who are making way less than 70,000.
Caleb Hammer
I'm glad in your life, but I'm just gonna go off of analytics. Okay, But I'm glad you use anecdotal examples.
Shelby
Yeah.
Tyrone
I'm just saying the data is skewed.
Caleb Hammer
And guess what? I know some. Yeah, I know fat too. I guess every fat.
Shelby
Back at you, bud.
Caleb Hammer
I'm not a.
Shelby
You could be a fat.
Caleb Hammer
No, I'm just a millionaire and billionaire.
Tyrone
That's cool. Yeah, it's actually awesome. I Wish I paid $4 million in taxes. That would be sick.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, I went right to you.
Tyrone
Yeah, it's awesome.
Shelby
Thank you.
Tyrone
You know why? Because that means you're making a lot of money. So I would. I would be glad to pay $4 million in.
Caleb Hammer
Trust me. No, no, I'm very blessed to be in my position. I'm not complaining about that. I would just rather it actually benefits society and not have people that can just mooch.
Tyrone
But it does benefit society. Healthcare and SNAP benefits society overall.
Caleb Hammer
Potentially. I would want people who actually need it. Yes.
Tyrone
Say statistically. Statistically, there's more people that don't probably, you know, like her just sitting at home. I would say, statistically speaking, it's an overall net benefit to society. Yeah, there are some bad homes. What do you mean you're saying. Yeah, she doesn't do anything. She's getting government subsidies. Right.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah. That's good.
Tyrone
That's not the statistic, though. I would say more than likely the average person who's on the benefits.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah. Which is why I don't want to take it to zero.
Tyrone
Right.
Caleb Hammer
But I think it's also.
Tyrone
You're saying it's not a net benefit to society. It is.
Caleb Hammer
I didn't say that.
Tyrone
Yes, you did.
Shelby
Did.
Caleb Hammer
No, no, I say I. Well, to clarify my response then, if I accidentally insinuated that I would rather make sure we're at least auditing the systems properly to make sure people like her are not qualified.
Tyrone
100.
Caleb Hammer
So I think that's fair. Including the Pentagon, don't get me wrong, as it passed an audit. I'm with you, buddy. If money's wasteful, I don't want to. I've always said I'm willing to spend more on taxes if we make sure we're actually benefiting society more and if we're actually, actually auditing our system. So I'm not against you on that. Yes, I agree. Okay. But I don't think anyone likes writing a check for $4 million. That is money that could go to a lot of things that I would like to do in life.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
But instead it is going to things that we literally cannot audit or pass an audit of.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
So I don't think I am required to be happy.
Tyrone
But there are some. I mean, there are. You could, you know, I'm sure you do it already. Reduce your taxable, you know, income and reinvesting in your company or other things.
Caleb Hammer
I mean. Yeah. I mean, I employ one, but. Yeah, but that's. I mean, reducing tax income. Like if I employ someone just to reduce tax income, I would still rather pay that 40% on that $75,000 than literally get zero from it. So that's not just how it works, buddy.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
You're saying you're thinking of like a massive C corp that does a lot of funky shit, use the tax code. I mean, I still need pocket or money in my pocket at the end
Tyrone
of the day, right?
Caleb Hammer
So we don't do that shit. That's not what most small businesses do, and we're a small business,
Tyrone
so.
Caleb Hammer
No.
Tyrone
Yeah, that's what I'm going to do for this year and probably next year. You have up to five years to operate at a loss before the tax or the IRS labels you as a hobby and not a business, so.
Caleb Hammer
And you filing quarterlys next year?
Tyrone
Maybe. I don't know. I have to talk to a cpa.
Caleb Hammer
You'll be wanting to file quarterlies next year.
Tyrone
Yeah, well, this year I know I'll be able to write off the truck that I got. I'll accelerate depreciation on that. The interest on my other truck that I pay.
Caleb Hammer
I'm not complaining about any of that. But the reality is, I don't know if you're. If you're trying to make a big point about, like, I should be happy about writing the check when we can't pass audits and there's people like her and many others on this show. Listen, I'm good with the child tax credit. I guess it's a populist policy. I love to. If it actually increased the birth rate. It doesn't. It never has in any other history. South Korea has massive benefits. It's still falling, so, you know, it doesn't really work. The reality is, I mean, yeah, sure, it'd be great to be like a single household income and you guys can be in St. Louis off of 70. So I don't think we need to do extra support for you guys.
Tyrone
Probably could.
Caleb Hammer
Probably could. But, you know, you're just gonna claim that your income is zero, so then we're gonna give everything. So yippee. Our system has no flaws, and it's perfect. And I guess more people like me just should be forced to write checks. And you'll celebrate.
Shelby
Well, I'll be. I mean, that's why we're here.
Tyrone
I'll be. No, I'll be. My goal is to be a part of that person who writes those checks.
Caleb Hammer
Wouldn't you also rather, instead of that and just roo. Let's take money. Like, figure out, hey, what's the actual issues with where money is going first? And then once we get that settled, okay, let's decide if we need more taxes, if we can do less, or if we should stay the same.
Shelby
Yeah, that's exactly why we're here and not filming a retirement planning documentary. That's why we're Here for. That's why we're here. And not planning a documentary for retirement or something else that we don't know anything about because we are not doing good with our taxes, we're not doing good with our finances, we're not doing good with budgeting.
Caleb Hammer
What's she saying?
Tyrone
I think she's saying we haven't filed taxes and we. Or haven't made a budget is why we're here. I don't.
Shelby
Yeah, that's the whole reason you wanted me to come on the show. You said for financial audit. Okay, well then why are you. Why are the pieces not clicking? I'm seeing.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, pieces not clicking. I'm talking about. I'm talking about him being upset that I'm not excited for writing a check.
Tyrone
No, I get, I get, I get what you're saying from the perspective were in that club, I don't know, fixing the system. Yeah, but I mean, the system exists as it exists. I would be okay. Because again, like I said, statistically speaking, we're probably not the average situation. So me writing a check towards the current system we have. Yeah. Would it suck at the end of the day? Sure. But as long as I'm making plenty of money to provide for my family, I don't care. Because I grew up in obscure poverty. Like, poverty poverty. I don't give a.
Caleb Hammer
That doesn't mean you could just do whatever and have any opinion forever. Well, I grew up with foreclosure notices.
Tyrone
They've all heard, oh, no foreclosure notice. Is that the worst part about your childhood? I hear you say that all the time.
Caleb Hammer
Is that the worst part? But it's an example of I moved
Tyrone
like, I don't know, 5.
Caleb Hammer
Care about finances.
Tyrone
I remember my mom, like ODing, and she was asleep fully like four days when I was like nine years old. Because you took like, what are we doing?
Caleb Hammer
Is this. Are we having a competition? I'm just saying I don't care. Just like I don't care about mine either.
Tyrone
But the thing is, like, the mindset that you have is because you grew up in a certain situation, you grew up in a certain scenario. Right.
Caleb Hammer
When I say I grew up deed. So you're going to take your taxes to zero?
Tyrone
Because I grew up in a different economic probably system than you did. The people that I surrounded myself with, that is how they operated and how they live life.
Shelby
Life.
Tyrone
So the things that I do even at this age are kind of based on the mindset that the people around me had.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. Everyone lives life based on their personal experience. Yes. We all know. What point are you trying? That meant nothing.
Shelby
Unlearn things that you have learned and been surrounded with.
Caleb Hammer
Unlearn that. No. Just being on assistance.
Tyrone
Yeah. Don't do drugs.
Shelby
Being on assistance. Where he was going with that.
Caleb Hammer
But dare. Yeah, okay, Nancy Reagan. It worked, I guess.
Tyrone
No, I just think that you have this, like, mentality of, like, I did this something. So it's like you can do it too, in the same exact way I
Caleb Hammer
did or not necessarily.
Tyrone
Everybody has a different mentality.
Caleb Hammer
I've always said personal finance is called personal finance because it's personal. But I know that if I can do it, other people can do it. Not necessarily the same way, but budgeting is still budgeting. The numbers work the same way. Money in, money out.
Tyrone
Yeah, but we're talking about personal philosophies here of why I do some of the things that I do.
Caleb Hammer
Right. Not what am I criticizing?
Tyrone
It's just not the mindset thing.
Caleb Hammer
Of what mindset? I don't know exactly. You're being defensive about nothing. I was responding to you saying I should be happy that I'm writing a check. I'm happy. I'm in a position where I get the right to check, but I'm not happy about losing money that could go towards life goals that I have, especially when the system is flawed. And I guess you're a fascist if you consider. Consider that there might be some fraud happening in this country.
Tyrone
There's a whole lot of fraud.
Caleb Hammer
Exactly. So what the was your point? That was pathetic and weird. What do you think your guys's financial score is? 0 to 10, 0 being the worst, 10 being the best one.
Shelby
I haven't seen the show, so.
Caleb Hammer
But I heard you're super smart. I just described what the score would be.
Shelby
I'm gonna go with what he said and say a one. It could be a two, a one, maybe a zero. Are we even on the chart?
Caleb Hammer

Tyrone

Caleb Hammer
Okay.
Tyrone
Thank you.
Caleb Hammer
And I am sorry again. Like, I mean, I'm making light because I didn't really understand the point you're making. But. But I mean, I'm sorry for the place you came from. Like, you know, I think. And I'm sorry that you went like. It's horrible that your parents went through overdoses. That's really sad and it's really tragic. And I'm sorry. I still didn't really understand the point you were trying to make. And that's why I'm kind of making light of it. But that is tragic.
Tyrone
No, I think it was.
Caleb Hammer
I'm glad you're not replicating that experience for your kids. That's important.
Tyrone
I think the whole. The point. There's. The point that I was making was like, if I could be in a position to where I could write, you know, that big check to the. The. The irs. Yeah, it would suck. But it's like from where I came from, that's like the least of my worries. You know what I'm saying?
Caleb Hammer
That's the least of my worries too. Okay.
Tyrone
That's all I was trying to say.
Caleb Hammer
Doesn't mean I'm happy you do it.
Tyrone
I. Yeah, I mean, so I don't. Okay.
Caleb Hammer
I don't think anyone's. Oh, no, I made lots of money.
Shelby
That's.
Caleb Hammer
That's really sad. Okay. Chime so checking account first. That's interesting. We do like Chime. Chime.com. caleb, get $200 for signing up. It's free. No reason not to. Did you guys get that $200?
Tyrone

Oh, my friend. My friend.
Shelby

Caleb Hammer

Tyrone

Caleb Hammer
Okay. What you doing here? What's going on with this? What am I looking at? You're stopping in gas stations and getting some.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
What are you doing?
Tyrone
Bangs.
Caleb Hammer
What? Oh, the energy drink.
Tyrone
Yes, sir. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang.
Caleb Hammer
I don't mean to do a plug too close to another one, but okay. Energy drink. Here you go. You're making this at home? Hey, girl. You know you guys should be on a budget. So I'm just gonna let you know what this is so you can force him to do it at home. It is a powder. It turns into the most delicious substance you could ever imagine. It's called Gamer Subs. This beat it by far wasn't even close to the right.
Tyrone
What flavor were you banging?
Caleb Hammer
What flavor were we banging?
Tyrone
Remember
Caleb Hammer
it was a white can.
Tyrone
That already sounds like trash.
Caleb Hammer
Well, either way, that's better. I promise you.
Tyrone
Purple haze slaps, bro. Peach, Mango. Oh, Dragon fruit punch. That's what you gave me.
Caleb Hammer
Here, that one's fruit punch.
Tyrone
I tried to get the sample pack like 2 months ago when I found you and they were out.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, well you can get those sample packs, figure out what flavor you like. Link in the description below. Okay. And then. Yeah, so you're going to the gas station, getting a lot of the direct deposit, lease fund, some of those $36. What's that?
Tyrone
What is it?
Caleb Hammer
$136 coal qualify?
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Washer and dry or we're renting or.
Tyrone
No, no, it was what, four months? Same as cash.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, because it hit just a couple days after that.
Tyrone
That's because I went. She okay? It's set up through her account.
Shelby
I wasn't paying it.
Tyrone
She was supposed to be paying it. She wasn't paying it. So then I went online and paid it and then I submitted the payment and it didn't show that it cleared. So then I did another payment and. And I went back and it's like, oh, okay. So I just double paid on it. But whatever.
Caleb Hammer
Snapchat pain for Sa. I thought she was the Snapchat.
Tyrone
I was restoring a streak with my daughter.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. The 13 year old.
Tyrone
Yeah, yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. Been. We don't money a lot of money. Amazon. Amazon Prime Video money. Amazon and pull up to Amazon Spotify after pay. Amazon.
Tyrone
Walmart.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, but The Walmart is 54. Hard to know if groceries are from Walmart. I hope so. So Sonic driving, that certainly ain't Groceries, I'll tell you that.
Shelby
Zip.
Caleb Hammer
Three installments. Just three installments. Zipping. What are you zipping? Zip.
Tyrone
That was my daughter's tennis. She started tennis this year, so I got her racket shoes.
Caleb Hammer
And you're zip painted. Yeah, but make money.
Tyrone
I. I know, I know. I'm at the point now where I'm making money. So I have, like, the opposite side of the spectrum. Like, I look at my account, I'm like, oh, I don't want to spend the money. So then I'm like, oh, paying for. I'm like, turning into, like, the Jew because it's like I don't want to see my account followed by what happened, happen a certain level.
Caleb Hammer
Are you a Jew for not wanting to lose money?
Tyrone
Yeah. See, well, I didn't. I don't use the paying force anymore because I didn't realize, like, the 30 per whatever interest rate they charge. But when you do 200, like 30. Oh, it's an extra 10 bucks or whatever over a month.
Caleb Hammer
I don't understand how that's being Jewish, wanting to have money in your checking account.
Tyrone
Come on. Do I really need to explain the stereotype?
Caleb Hammer
I do, but just having money.
Tyrone
Money, right.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, but just having money isn't Jewish.
Tyrone
I know, but.
Caleb Hammer
But I would say having a lot of money.
Tyrone
Well, for me, it's a lot of money.
Shelby
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Wow.
Tyrone
It's more money than I'm used to having.
Caleb Hammer
For you. Not for the Jew.
Tyrone
Exactly.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, well. Ven Out Money. Prime Video.
Tyrone
Subscribe.
Caleb Hammer
Amazon. Amazon, Groupon. Now that's Jewish hell, yeah.
Tyrone
Remember what I did on there?
Caleb Hammer
Ven Out Money. Where would we ven. Hundreds of dollars, too.
Tyrone
Probably labor or.
Caleb Hammer
I thought you said there is no one.
Tyrone
My kids help me, so. Your kids, then. My niece also helps me sometimes. And then every once in a while if I'm packed up, I'll hire somebody.
Caleb Hammer
What about when your kids are in school?
Tyrone
I'll just do it by myself. Yeah, I'll just do it by myself.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. Venmo, Venmo. Amazon. Pull up your Amazon.
Tyrone
She should do that. She's the one who's Amazon lady now.
Caleb Hammer
Amazon more zip you Zip. Amazon.
Tyrone
Amazon, the same.
Caleb Hammer
Venmo, Amazon, Amazon, Amazon. A lot of. By the way, this is. This is a crazy statement. Facebook. You're paying Facebook. You paid Facebook.
Tyrone
That was Amazon. Amazon Verified badge or whatever.
Shelby
Oh, what the.
Caleb Hammer
What do you need to be verified? Business, maybe.
Tyrone
Business.
Caleb Hammer
You're monetized. What are you monetized on?
Tyrone
Making a whole lot of 15 bucks a month.
Caleb Hammer
Doing what?
Tyrone
Just Making reels.
Caleb Hammer
Content reels. Blackface reels.
Tyrone
Lawn care. Opinionated pieces.
Caleb Hammer
What's your most radical opinion?
Tyrone
Government sucks. Left wing, right wing sucks. Probably the biggest one that I'm on now is sucks.
Caleb Hammer
But he wants. He's going to be happy when he gives millions of taxes to it. Okay. It's an interesting philosophy. I don't think that's a radical position. No one really likes politics.
Tyrone
No. You'd be surprised how many people are either on one side or the other. Other.
Caleb Hammer
Well, certainly. But whatever. Okay.
Tyrone
That does.
Caleb Hammer
That's not a fun radical. You don't have a fun radical position for me?
Tyrone
No, not really.
Caleb Hammer
If you or your child spent years growing up on social media and experienced serious mental health struggles, you should hear this. Recently, a jury ordered Meta and YouTube to pay millions for their role in designing and promoting addictive platforms. They knew their apps could contribute to anxiety, depression and body image issues, but did not share those risks while prioritizing profits. The recent historic verdict underscores the consequences of those decisions. Now Morgan. And Morgan is stepping up to hold these platforms accountable for the harm they caused. Click the link in my bio to take a short quiz. You may be entitled to a potential recovery of over $1,000. Ladies and gentlemen, I got something new to help you that we have personally built right here on calebhammer.com we have three, three new Caleb Hammer financial resources. They are the ones I would personally use, which is why we made them for you to use. As you've already heard me talk about, personal loans are okay when you're good at debt. I personally use them when I can leverage them for a situation. So we have good personal loans. On calebhammer.com we also have auto insurance. Now you can check for free and see if you can save a ton of money on auto insurance and then to close it off for now because we're building more. We have a debt relief program. You've seen how hard it is for people to get out of debt on the show. This makes it so much easier, but only if you're actually ready to change. Remember, none of this actually matters if you continue the same bad behavior. So it's not for you if you still suck. But if you've proved you can budget, check out these three programs from personal loans to debt relief to car insurance. To see if you can save a shit ton of money across the board. Go to Caleb hammer.com or the Caleb Hammer Financial Resources part of the pinned comment or description below and save a shit ton of money. Money.
Tyrone
I mean personal account Personal accountability is, like, usually my main thing.
Caleb Hammer
Like, that's the man who's gonna show up in black.
Tyrone
Work hard, you know, there's. Like you said, there's no excuse. I grew up in whatever. You know, if I could do it, you could do it, too. That type of talk about the Jews
Caleb Hammer
a few minutes ago.
Tyrone
No, I can't.
Caleb Hammer
Scared.
Tyrone
I can't.
Caleb Hammer
Scared.
Tyrone
Yeah, scare them. Not a good look.
Caleb Hammer
But you were gonna show up in blackface. We had to tell you. No.
Tyrone
Yeah, that should tell you something.
Shelby
That's the first time I've ever heard him say that's not a good look and actually cared about something.
Tyrone
That's true. Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Why are you pussified on camera? Pussy.
Tyrone
No, the Jew topic is a little more controversial probably than blackface.
Caleb Hammer
Yes, I'm asking for your controversial take. I'd like to know where you stand in this world.
Tyrone
AIPAC sucks. BB's terrible person, terrible leader. That's it. Zionism is bad.
Caleb Hammer
Question on Zionism. What's Zionism?
Tyrone
The Christians who support and believe that Israel is the Holy Land and we must protect them at all costs.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. If I'm not mistaken, I think the original version of Zionism, like, the definition is just that there should be a Jewish state.
Tyrone
That's probably fine.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, so a classic version.
Tyrone
Yeah. There's nothing wrong with, like, Israel as, you know, a place, but I don't
Caleb Hammer
think that's how that word's used very much these days. Yeah, I don't know. I think this. Okay, we got a high chair, hair extensions for kids, fake plants or watering pots. I don't think we need that to survive. Same with the potting mix. We don't need that to survive.
Tyrone
Well, I got a chalk, markers, tattoo removal I'm doing. My grandma gave me an aloe plant, so I bought a.
Caleb Hammer
What?
Tyrone
I'm getting tattoo removal. So I got an aloe plant to rub aloe on it. Okay. For recovery.
Caleb Hammer
CVS one time. Probably cheaper than this. No watering.
Tyrone
Yeah, probably. But aloe is good for a lot of good stuff.
Shelby
I don't know. Honestly, I think. I think that was a cheaper route.
Caleb Hammer
We highly doubted that.
Tyrone
30 bucks, but you can use it a bunch.
Caleb Hammer
Then you got to go to the water. Yeah, but a little thing. How often are you getting a tattooing?
Shelby
Every four to six months is amazing.
Caleb Hammer
I mean, you got a book. What book? The. The book called Divorce.
Tyrone
Oh.
Caleb Hammer
Why is that?
Shelby
Looks like a good book.
Caleb Hammer
How does it.
Shelby
I'm not even married. I don't have anything to prep for.
Caleb Hammer
That's true. That is true.
Shelby
Rose.
Caleb Hammer
Gold plated chain. Go yourself. Do we not know what situation we're in here? That's not funny. Purple hair mask, lots of cables. Oh, thank goodness you canceled the AirPods because you can't afford that. Oh, you don't need a sound bar to survive.
Tyrone
Yeah, I bought. I bought five bucks.
Caleb Hammer
You don't have that. You don't have money.
Tyrone
I bought a VHS and a DVD player and the Aux Connect guys.
Caleb Hammer
It's all just.
Tyrone
Yeah, I know.
Caleb Hammer
This is all.
Tyrone
Yeah, you should see me when I'm riding around on a lawnmower and I get a notification that Amazon $20. Amazon $30. Amazon $20.
Caleb Hammer
I'm like, have a conversation about it.
Tyrone
Yes, I have a conversation.
Caleb Hammer
Tell me, what does that look like?
Tyrone
Why are you buying on Amazon that we don't need?
Shelby
And I'd be like, we need it.
Tyrone
Everything is a need, Caleb. If you can use it.
Caleb Hammer
It's none of that was a need, by the way, on there. Except for maybe the high chair, his work pants.
Shelby
Those were on there.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, I'm fine with that. Now I'm not fine with the other 80.
Tyrone
Yeah, I bought those. Girl, we haven't even got. You haven't.
Shelby
My daughter's hair bows. Okay.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah.
Shelby
Is she just not going to have bows in her hair? That sounds like a needle.
Caleb Hammer
A bunch of colored bows and the hair extensions. You did not need that shit.
Tyrone
You haven't even got to the tax credit statement from her. Oh, we originally were going to. Come on. This was right after taxes had hit. She spent like over $2,000 on Amazon.
Shelby
Yeah.
Tyrone
On things that we needed.
Shelby
How am I supposed to be a homemaker if you don't want me to make the home a home?
Caleb Hammer
You don't.
Tyrone
No. You don't. I'm not there enough to care, so.
Shelby
I mean, I am. That's the thing. I have to look at the same four walls every day.
Caleb Hammer
Why are we spending so much on the chime credit card? The new balance is substantial.
Tyrone
That was just the. The chime whatever. Like kind of like the fizz or mine card, whatever it's called now. That's what it was.
Caleb Hammer
But the balance is still substantial.
Tyrone
Anytime I would use my debit card, it would just be through that.
Caleb Hammer
Well, it's $3,451.57. Now you're going in getting some bullshit again. Energy drinks, used gamers, hubs, Netflix, getting bullshit Lavelle order, Sonic Drive in, Chick fil A. It's all bullshit. Going in and getting some bullshit Energy drink. Energy drink. Energy drink. Taco Bell Steak n Shake, Starz Entertainment. Who the even gets that shit? Cash advance 18. I would draw off $300. What the we do.
Tyrone
Hold on. That was for.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, that was for my son's dirt biker energy drink. Chick Fil A Texas Rorehouse. Emo's Pizza. Imo's Pizza. Sunglasses concession is five below Dairy Queen snucks an energy drink. The spending on here is insane. This is crazy. And you do owe it.
Tyrone
Hey. 50% of all of in order to
Caleb Hammer
be able to spend more on there.
Tyrone
You do 50% of my energy drinks.
Caleb Hammer
So the ending balance and your time secured. This is the chime secured card. Now this is a separate one. The one that I think you were talking about is $5,398. And that's just moving money back and forth. Listen, once you're ready to get back into the workforce and not be a surfer, please, for the sake of every man, I'll get you a course career certification. A lot of people in the audience have used that that you can get in project management and tech and the trades. Convert it into a six figure job like many people out there have. They're incredible. I'll get you that for free. You guys get a discount. But okay. Equifax. What is this? Okay, so this is your Equifax. What is this? A credit card? T B O M mail.
Tyrone
That's Milestone MasterCard.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, I'm being told you are practically the dumbest guest that's sending statements we've ever had. Why are you over the limit? $581. Yeah, the limit is 500.
Tyrone
Wait, wait, hold on, hold on. That might have been a fee.
Caleb Hammer
Why? Missed payment. It's a dollar forty.
Tyrone
Okay, it's not a missed payment. It was a late payment because I'm an idiot and I didn't realize guys that even if it's one day after the due date, they hit you.
Caleb Hammer
Why would they not?
Tyrone
I do.
Caleb Hammer
I thought you was.
Tyrone
You missed the whole like month. You like you. You know.
Caleb Hammer
No, that's when it becomes a misspay. Right on your credit.
Tyrone
Yeah, I only paid that once.
Caleb Hammer
That's only happened to actually twice at the limit already. I'd like to see what you're spending on this. But you didn't send me the statement because you're sending statements.
Tyrone
I don't know. Clef clip, clip.
Caleb Hammer
What is it?
Tyrone
You're born with it.
Caleb Hammer
You're born with it.
Tyrone
Yes.
Caleb Hammer
Is that a brain injury?
Tyrone
No.
Caleb Hammer
Why the couldn't you send US statements.
Tyrone
I don't remember why I didn't send a statement for that one.
Caleb Hammer
Well, any of them. I have the credit report.
Tyrone
There are statements.
Caleb Hammer
The rest of this was all the credit report. Literally. Except for your time.
Tyrone
They. I emailed them.
Caleb Hammer
Emailed them? What do you. What do you mean?
Tyrone
I emailed the statements.
Caleb Hammer
No, you didn't.
Tyrone
Yes, I did. You want to pull up the scent on my phone. I 100.
Caleb Hammer
Did you have it? You can pull it up. Pull up the email. Yeah, pull it up right now. Let's see.
Tyrone
Casting. It's on the Castle.
Caleb Hammer
Really? Any. Because they're which.
Shelby
Exactly.
Caleb Hammer
That was the save your life.
Tyrone
I couldn't.
Caleb Hammer
You couldn't send a PDF to save your life
Tyrone
person.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, this is what I'm saying.
Tyrone
Yeah. Well then that's probably why it didn't come through.
Caleb Hammer
Because you didn't send it. Yeah, that. That was.
Shelby
Would.
Caleb Hammer
That would do it. Wait, I'm being told you want to join the Air Force. It was the master.
Tyrone
It's a possibility.
Caleb Hammer
What? How? You can't be a pilot.
Tyrone
No, I can't. I'm too old.
Caleb Hammer
Well, that and Air Force.
Tyrone
Air Force is the only thing that I can actually. You can join the army, but I don't want to do that.
Caleb Hammer
What do you want to do in the air? Why do you want to join the Air Force? You have a good business going on.
Tyrone
Because the off seasons suck for one. But also like I. I want to make more money on a consistent basis, like.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, but you'll be away and all this stuff and you have so many kids.
Tyrone
Yeah, but once we get married, I only have to go to boot camp and then the job training and then they'll be shipped out with wherever I'm at.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, so what do you want to do?
Tyrone
Something in like cyber security or intelligence. Something like that. Something along those lines.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. I'm being told you want to get injured and get the benefits.
Tyrone
Oh, the benefits are great.
Caleb Hammer
But that benefit. The disability.
Tyrone
VA loan, the boots to business. The disability, those.
Caleb Hammer
The disability though. You will be the person.
Tyrone
You know it, buddy.
Caleb Hammer
You got it.
Tyrone
If the system exists, man. Why would you not? Why would you not.
Caleb Hammer
It doesn't mean you're not a piece of shit.
Tyrone
Yeah, you. That could sure fair. You're entitled to your opinion. As I am entitled to.
Caleb Hammer
That's barely even an opinion. Abusing a system that's meant there to help people.
Tyrone
Yeah, but it does help people.
Caleb Hammer
It does. So does food stance. Doesn't mean you're not abusing it. Yeah, which makes You a piece of shit.
Tyrone
No. Okay, disagree.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, I'm glad. I'm glad you disagree. The handsense statements, that's who he cared about, his opinion. Okay, Atlas, we owe $218.
Tyrone
What the.
Caleb Hammer
I don't know. It's Web bank or ETLS or. Imagine.
Tyrone
That's an imagined visa.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, you owe 218 on this.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
And the minimum payment is 27. I'd love to see what you spent on it, but again you can't. It's hard for me to give the advice of like what. Cut back on what you even spent on it to get it to that. It's hard for me to give any advice of what to cut when I actually don't even know what your spending is outside of your checking and the time credit because you can't send statements. I can't. I can barely do a full. I can do a budget at the end, but I can't say what to adjust from your current. Because I don't know what got you here because you can't send statements.
Tyrone
I wish I would have told me. I said those on six two. I said those on six two. Somebody should have said, hey, we didn't get any statements.
Caleb Hammer
We tell you.
Tyrone
We tell you by downloading the Dollar Wise app. I can tell you what I said.
Caleb Hammer
You went over all of it on the phone. I don't remember. As you were going through the credit report line by line.
Tyrone
Yeah, I sent the credit report and that went through.
Caleb Hammer
You know that.
Tyrone
Yeah. So I just don't. I don't understand why the other statements didn't go through. I sent them the same way. Actually. No, they were not PDFs. I screenshotted them from my phone, cropped it, and I sent them an email as a picture.
Caleb Hammer
The PDFs.
Shelby
That's probably what happened. Then you went to go send the pictures and you didn't select all the pictures that you needed to send. End this would be my guess.
Caleb Hammer
Dude, I don't even know what to do with you. Okay, well, this one's in Collections. Applied Bank.
Tyrone
That's a credit card.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, but it's in collections.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Why?
Tyrone
So that would be whenever I tried to buy the company.
Caleb Hammer
525. That's all it's in collection.
Tyrone
No, I tried to buy the company. I was working for salary for this guy for 60,000 a year. I had a credit card. I was doing good. I was making my payments.
Caleb Hammer
When was that?
Tyrone
That two years ago.
Caleb Hammer
You didn't file your taxes and you were on benefits while he made 60,000 hours a year. I hate this country.
Tyrone
No, you. I don't.
Caleb Hammer
We're not Gonna Last another 250 years.
Tyrone
I don't think she was at that time because.
Shelby
No, on. Yeah, I couldn't.
Tyrone
Yeah, I don't think she was.
Caleb Hammer
You guys had no benefits whatsoever?
Tyrone
No, no. You say so, but I was clearing like a thousand bucks a week. It was, but. So I basically lifestyle inflated. I took on two personal loans. I had a credit card. I was making the payments on all of them.
Caleb Hammer
Then buy the business.
Tyrone
No, this is pre. Pre buying the business. So I wanted to buy the company for my boss. He wanted to get out of mowing. I'd been working for him for, like, three years at this point, doing everything besides basically cashing the checks. So I'm like, you know what? I can start my own company. He's like, well, I'll sell you mine. And I'm like, okay. So he tells me what he wants for it. I don't have the best credit. I contact SBI.
Caleb Hammer
How much was.
Tyrone
Was like 120,000 for all the equipment, all the clients and all that stuff?
Caleb Hammer
Sure.
Tyrone
And so I contact SBA lender. She goes through my credit report. We get, you know, everything where it needs to be. And she's like, well, you need a co signer. And I'm like, okay, well, I could try to find one. So I reach out to a bunch of people, can't get anybody even if I offered them, like, you know, monthly payment or percentage or anything like that. And I was like, I'll ask her grandpa. And he's like, yeah, I'll do it. Bring me a business plan. Show me all the, you know, business revenue, everything they make, what they're doing. And I'm like, all right, cool. So we get going, go back to her. She's like, we could do it. It's going to be a variable rate loan. And he was like, yeah, I don't know about a variable rate loan. I talked to another guy. He said the same thing. So then my old boss was like, well, go to my bank and ask my lender. And so I go to him, talk to him. He pulls out.
Caleb Hammer
This ending with you didn't get approved.
Tyrone
I didn't.
Caleb Hammer
Well, okay.
Tyrone
Well, because the other lender gave me an option. He said, do this, this, this. Take care of these on your car credit report, and we'll talk. We'll get it done. So it takes me like three weeks. I get everything paid off. I go back to him, and then he's like, yeah, we're not going to do it.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, Wonderful.
Tyrone
So great.
Caleb Hammer
TBOM. You still owe on it. It's not in collections. 1,550. $1,055. It's a credit limit of 1,000. Minimum payment $53. Don't know why the. It's over the limit. Cancel your spending and that'll be kind of what's happening. This is a collection. I don't know what it was for because it's a part of the collection agency now, but it's 8:50. That doesn't. You didn't answer why things were in collections, though.
Tyrone
Because I.
Caleb Hammer
That was my question.
Tyrone
Because once I couldn't get the loan for the company, I had already started marketing. I'd already started marketing for my business, and I was moronic. No, because it.
Shelby
How else are you going to get a business?
Tyrone
No, it was planned to go through. This guy made it sound like the banker made it sound like if you get these things done, we will do the.
Caleb Hammer
You didn't sign right.
Tyrone
I was prepping, rolling, getting, trying to make sure that as soon as we
Caleb Hammer
hit the ground, he's always right. That's why he's in this position. And so, yeah, keep defending.
Tyrone
Here's the other thing. My cousin comes up to me who's been roofing for like 15 years, and he goes, look, you do the lawn care stuff. I'll handle. We can open a roofing side of this company as well. And I'll be the project manager. Basically. Doesn't mean you start doing that.
Caleb Hammer
Doing all this money behind marketing before you own the business.
Tyrone
Yeah, I understand that.
Caleb Hammer
So what the are we talking about?
Tyrone
I get the roofing supplies, I get the roofing materials. We start doing some roofs. Okay. So everything is taking off. I tell my boss, hey, I have to quit. This roofing stuff is going along. I'm taking on landscaping jobs. I don't have time to dedicate to your company and my business. So I put in my two weeks and then turns out my cousin, who told me all the. That he could do with roofing, had no idea what he was actually doing. Couldn't project manage anything.
Caleb Hammer
Almost just like you. That's crazy.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
So I don't. What the.
Tyrone
Didn't have a job.
Shelby
Okay.
Tyrone
Credit cards didn't paid. You asked how that happened. There you go. That's how it happened.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. Student loans. Who's this for?
Tyrone
Me. Okay.
Caleb Hammer
It's not huge. What's the. What's going on with it?
Tyrone
I went to do online at WGU for an Accounting class. I had a.
Caleb Hammer
You haven't made a pay.
Tyrone
I had a. Or a fafsa.
Caleb Hammer
Wgu. Everyone. Wgu.
Shelby
Man.
Tyrone
I ended up dropping out.
Shelby
Why is.
Caleb Hammer
You're in Governor's University. It's like.
Tyrone
So it went to I guess default.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. $2,437. Are you making payments?
Tyrone
No, it's on hold or I don't know what happened with it.
Caleb Hammer
Well, you would have requested it at this point, cuz it wouldn't be automatic.
Tyrone
Yeah, I did like a. I don't know two years ago. I have no idea what's going on.
Caleb Hammer
We should look at it because that actually might you. And they'll put it in default like 11% of student loans out there. So. Okay, call them again. It's hard for me to give advice without actually seeing because you won't give a shit. But because you're okay collections. Your student loan payment by the way is probably like 30 bucks.
Tyrone
Okay, I'll look into that then.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, look into everything actually would be preferred because then I don't have information. Okay, collections. 3420 probably for the roofing, the bullshit. Bullshit.
Tyrone
No, one was a personal loan for it was that LVNV fund funding?
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, three of them are.
Tyrone
Yeah, one was for like carpets.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah. You own a home guys. These are the guys getting on the home. All you have to do is scam the system, you know, get a home.
Tyrone
No, we bought that like 10 years ago.
Shelby
Yeah, we bought it before we started scamming the system. Long before that and then allegedly happened.
Caleb Hammer
Wait, what?
Tyrone
Huh?
Caleb Hammer
You only owe 44. 43, 000.
Shelby
Yep.
Tyrone
4300 or 3400. I don't know, 4, 300. Whatever it says. Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Oh yeah. 5000.
Tyrone
Almost paid off.
Shelby
We bought it brand new in 2016.
Caleb Hammer
Brand new watch. What?
Tyrone
2016 trailer. Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, you okay. You guys are not homeowners. Gotcha.
Shelby
No, we own it.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah.
Shelby
After that.
Tyrone
Yeah.
Shelby
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
You own a trailer, right? It's a depreciating asset. It's a house. You don't own a home and it's a depreciating asset. Do you own the land it's on?
Tyrone
No. Okay.
Caleb Hammer
This isn't. That's not.
Tyrone
You'd be surprised what they sell for that.
Caleb Hammer
It's. It's better than before, I'll give it that. But you certainly aren't getting like the real estate market value. And you definitely don't own land.
Tyrone
No.
Caleb Hammer
Affordable Child Support Enforcement.
Tyrone
Yeah, so that was supposed to be written off whenever it's Closed, but it's
Caleb Hammer
not off your credit. The payment is 100 bucks a month.
Tyrone
Yeah, we have.
Caleb Hammer
I have 7749.
Tyrone
It was supposed to be whenever I was getting that loan my ex wrote when I was trying to buy the business, she filled out a form to get that stuff taken off of my credit report. Are you making the payment go through? No, because we have a. We have 50. 50. I pay her.
Caleb Hammer
Let's let that go to collections. Okay. This Amazon card, $139. Yeah, that'll just be paid off with one payment. So I can worry about that upstart. What's going on here? Oh, it's in collections.
Tyrone
Yep.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, that's wonderful. Listen to him for advice. $502 first premiere in collections. 49 or 658. Wait, this is what you want to be with car. Hey, it's active. What is it? What do we have?
Tyrone
What's.
Caleb Hammer
It's a car.
Tyrone
Probably my truck.
Caleb Hammer
It's a vehicle. Yes. Okay. What is it?
Tyrone
2003 Ford F250.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. Oh, okay. How is it? $8,022. Does the job payment 332. I don't know the interest rate.
Tyrone
It's 25%.
Caleb Hammer
That 25%?
Shelby
Why?
Caleb Hammer
Well, cuz you have a ton of collections because you refuse to be a responsible adult in any aspect of your life whatsoever.
Tyrone
True that.
Caleb Hammer
That's pathetic. You want to be with that?
Tyrone
Yeah, yeah. 25.
Caleb Hammer
Of course. I mean, I've honestly given up on years life. So it's a ti. Typical value of that car right now is about 5,000 bucks.
Tyrone
If to do it now, it's less than that.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, well, you'll throw 8,000 at 25%. So. I mean, guys, I don't know. Just the way you live life is kind of pathetic. Your world views are kind of pathetic. This is like what hope is there? Little. Let me try to do a budget, I guess your minimum payments. And yes, this will consider a mortgage because it's not really a mortgage. It's loan on a depreciating asset.
Shelby
You can.
Tyrone
It's a lot.
Caleb Hammer
I mean it does depreciate $105. Yes, it does depreciate 100, but we're
Shelby
gonna get all of our money back and then some once we sell it it so at least we had a place to call home for 11 years.
Caleb Hammer
I'm not. I'm not trashing that. I'm just. I can't give it the benefit of real estate. Okay, it's not real estate.
Shelby
Okay, yeah, right. It's not.
Tyrone
It's like personal property. Right.
Caleb Hammer
It's like a.
Tyrone
They label it.
Caleb Hammer
You own a vehicle.
Shelby
Yeah, personal property, whatever.
Caleb Hammer
I don't care. Income. Are you setting 30% aside for taxes this year?
Tyrone
No. No.
Caleb Hammer
Well, I'll give you an income of 5,000 because you should be all my deductions.
Tyrone
There's no way. That's why I'm not.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, I would. I would love to see you get audited. What is your rent to the land?
Tyrone
410.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. Utilities and everything. Does that come with it?
Tyrone
No. Okay.
Caleb Hammer
All utilities combined, plus Internet.
Tyrone
Just elect. Electric's 180, Internet's 50. Okay.
Caleb Hammer
230. Phone bill. How much?
Tyrone
246.
Shelby
Woo.
Tyrone
Why she has a new phone.
Caleb Hammer
When you guys are done, I would just switch to helium. It's 15 bucks a line. It is so good. There's kids lines as well with great protections. I think like zero bucks. By the way, it's same coverage as like T mobile and stuff. So I would definitely do that. But you have to pay off your phones first. Gas. Vroom vroom. Drive. Drive. How much?
Tyrone
That's a hard one. Because what I do average, I mean last month I spent $3,700 on gas.
Caleb Hammer
Okay, perfect. Car insurance, how much that is?
Tyrone
250.
Caleb Hammer
You have insurance on the house.
Tyrone
It's included in the mortgage.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. Necessary food. It is a little difficult at that. I'll give you guys like a th000 bucks.
Tyrone
Think?
Caleb Hammer
Should be fine. You're just meal prepping like crazy. Probably eat out like crazy. I just can't see. I want to.
Tyrone
I want a meal prep because I spend $10 a day.
Caleb Hammer
Yeah, you do. It's insane. Absolutely.
Tyrone
On flatbreads.
Caleb Hammer
TP fund. Anything else you and your kids need to survive is 300 bucks. It's toilet paper, it's school supplies. Whatever changes month to month to things. Yeah. Medical, health care. Their co pays on a monthly basis.
Tyrone
I don't go to do. I don't do anything. So no.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. I guess we're on government. Yep. Okay. Subscriptions? I'll try 50 bucks. 60 bucks. Because you know the kids and everything. You have pets?
Shelby
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
You have the dog? Just the dog.
Shelby
We have two dogs, two cats.
Caleb Hammer
Okay.
Shelby
Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
That's $200 for pet insurance. You want to keep them alive and certainly can't afford what you don't care.
Tyrone
I'm not doing no pet insurance. Okay.
Caleb Hammer
He's evil. Why are you.
Shelby
I know. He literally does.
Tyrone
Okay. Like we talked about the upbringing when I grew up. Like Animals were just like pets. They're great. You're just pets.
Caleb Hammer
Hey, guess what? How you grow pets as you've established how you grew up was not good. Maybe you become a decent human.
Tyrone
I. They're fine.
Caleb Hammer
That's weird. Pack food. How much?
Tyrone
We went 80 bucks a month. I have everything written down.
Shelby
We went over it and I would say like for litter and budget, litter and food, I would say like 200amonth. Litter of food between both cats, both dogs and the litter and the litter liners and we have to, we have an automatic litter which is like a gym.
Tyrone
That's 75.
Caleb Hammer
Oh Gem. 75. Nice.
Tyrone
Yeah, that's good. 80 for the animals. That includes litter and food.
Shelby
Oh, okay.
Caleb Hammer
Okay. 80.
Tyrone
160 bucks is my kids jiu jitsu and kickboxing.
Caleb Hammer
That's in the TP fund.
Tyrone
Okay.
Caleb Hammer
Where you put it is where you put it.
Tyrone
$150 a month on a trailer that I own. Like a utility trailer.
Caleb Hammer
Well, that's a debt, right?
Tyrone
For work? Yeah.
Caleb Hammer
Why didn't I have that debt?
Tyrone
It's probably because it's like a rent to own type. I don't know if it pops up on your credit.
Caleb Hammer
No, probably not. Okay. Anything else?
Tyrone
Oh yeah. $240 a month for her blowy thing.
Caleb Hammer
Blowout.
Shelby
My portable breathalyzer.
Caleb Hammer
Oh, 240. Well you do have to do that.
Tyrone
And then $600 a month to her grandparents.
Caleb Hammer
Do we have to do that?
Tyrone
Yes.
Caleb Hammer
Why?
Tyrone
Because they're the ones who paid for the dui.
Shelby
They have said several times that they're okay with us waiting until we're at a balance.
Caleb Hammer
Oh no, no. What's the balance you owe?
Tyrone
I just paid him 500 like two days ago. So $600? For how long? 3,000.
Caleb Hammer
So there we go. Add three to the debt, that's 8,000. And hey, the rent. The rent to own. How much is that? The trailer?
Tyrone
How much I owe on it? Like 1200.
Caleb Hammer
I have to add that here. Okay. If $7000 comes in and we save no money for taxes, you technically have wiggle room of like 1500amonth. I'm going to guess because your guys budget is messy and weird because I don't know your income's but if you actually set aside money for taxes properly, then you'd be fine. I don't know your death situation. You owe like 18,000 to the grandpa, right? Or something. Something.
Shelby
Eight.
Caleb Hammer
Eight. Okay.
Tyrone
She crashed a car without insurance a few years ago. They co signed for it, so.
Caleb Hammer
Oh good. Why not? So what's your debt like 32000 actually in reality I don't know again it was a mess. You couldn't send us 1500 bucks a month. You guys will be debt free in less than two years.
Tyrone
That's it.
Caleb Hammer
That's fine.
Tyrone
I have no debt outside of whatever's on that credit report
Caleb Hammer
to own and you have the family debt.
Tyrone
No I mean collections wise or like anything like that.
Caleb Hammer
Okay that's fine. Collections has not been My credit cards
Tyrone
were paid up at that time.
Caleb Hammer
Whatever guys. Okay less than two years. This is a mess. I can't do it for real if you don't give me the actual and I can't see the statements so what a waste of time. Podcast: Financial Audit
Host: Caleb Hammer
Episode: "$100,000+ Incomes Stealing Government Assistance"
Date: July 31, 2026
Guests: Shelby (31), Tyrone (34), St. Louis, Missouri
In this no-holds-barred episode of Financial Audit, Caleb Hammer deep-dives into the tangled financial, personal, and ethical life of Shelby and Tyrone—a couple with a six-figure household income who are openly “Robin Hooding” government benefits. The conversation explores not just their spending and debt but also taxes, welfare, addiction, controversial social commentary, and the messy reality of household dynamics. The episode is raw, unsparing, and often darkly funny, but it also touches on the serious implications of gaming the system.
[05:04-07:03] Tyrone attempted to appear in blackface (“for anonymity”)—which Caleb and producers refused.
Facebook and Public Persona [07:09]
Open, unabashed defense of “playing the game” at the lower income level—the same way, Tyrone claims, rich people exploit tax loopholes.
[54:43] Caleb: “Why should we then actually say, you know what, if you lose everything, no worries, we’ll just fund you. That makes no sense. Go get a job like everyone else.”
[66:41-89:00] Deep review of finances:
[77:08] “This was right after taxes had hit. She spent like over $2,000 on Amazon [in one month]...” – Tyrone
Tyrone on Blackface Request ([05:04]):
“Yeah, it's crazy. You have no limits and you wouldn't let me do blackface.”
Caleb on Welfare Abuse ([47:30]):
“What the are we doing, guys? Just end the federal government. End all benefits. This s---’s crazy. I’m so done.”
Tyrone’s Tax Loophole Philosophy ([53:36]):
“Whatever it is, I’m going to play the benefits that are down here, the loopholes that exist, I’m going to use.”
Caleb on SNAP Benefits ([54:43]):
“Why should we then actually say, you know what, if you lose everything, no worries, we’ll just fund you. That makes no sense.”
Shelby ([16:29]):
“You watch podcasts as you do dishes, as you fold laundry, as you do anything.”
Tyrone on Justifying System Gaming ([82:03]):
“If the system exists, man. Why would you not? Why would you not.”
The show is raw, brash, and frequently profane. Host and guests trade barbs, call out each other’s failings, and probe painful personal territory in a darkly comedic style. Caleb is unsparing in pointing out self-delusion, ethical hypocrisy, and lack of accountability, while Shelby and Tyrone own their flaws—sometimes defensively, sometimes almost proudly. Self-deprecating humor, gallows jokes, and sarcasm abound.
[Final Segment]
Shelby and Tyrone embody the contradictions of modern American welfare, middle-class hustle culture, and personal dysfunction. Despite a high household income, substance abuse, system gaming, and dismal financial habits keep them alternating between survival and self-sabotage—leaving even the most jaded personal finance expert shaking his head. This is the reality of a broken system, and the people willing to proudly break it.
