So it's just one of those things. Pima county, they have not had glowing reviews during this investigation. They've been accused of blocking the FBI from doing their job in the investigation. Chris Nanos hasn't held a press conference in a week and a half and he's telling conflicting statements every other day to whatever news station he lets in his office. And then sometimes when reporters are in his office doing these one on one interviews, he gets really defensive with them too. It's. It looks like a reality TV show, honestly. You're watching him say things like haters gonna hate when talking about this investigation into a kidnapping of an 84 year old woman. But you know what, There is something that's come out that makes you really wonder what Chris Sanders is going through behind the scenes. And some of these interviews, you've seen him get really emotional. I'm talking about tears in his eyes. Emotional when talking about bringing Nancy home and defending the Guthrie family and just saying that this is just heartbreaking. And really, I mean this is someone that's the sheriff, he's the face of the investigation, but he's showing so much emotion. Well, it came out that on February 2, the day after Nancy Guthrie was reported missing, his brother died. His brother was in hospice. And I mean, I know what it's like. We all know what it's like to lose a loved one. And it just makes me think that when Nanos is talking about the Guthrie family and Nancy, he's getting so emotional because he too just lost someone in his family. And it's all very fresh because he can't just take off for a week for bereavement. During this, he's there working the case. So it's not excusing him from some of the stuff that he's spoken too soon. He said too much. And I think that's why we haven't seen formal press conferences, because he just said too much at the beginning. But it does give you this human side of him that, again, he is the Pima county sheriff and this case is very important. It's of the most importance right now in that county. But he still has a life and a family outside the sheriff's department. So we can't forget that. Savannah Guthrie is the host of the Today Show. She is the main star of this morning news show that in my opinion, arguably the best in the country. It is so popular. And she has been absent since her mother went missing. And this is after she already was absent for a while because she had vocal cord surgery. It's just an unfortunate circumstance for her to obviously be out for that vocal cord surgery and then to come back and now her mom's missing. People at the Today show are kind of in a pickle right now because they have to fill that seat, and they have to do it in a way where I'm assuming there's going to be a replacement, a temporary replacement, but someone that's going to be there every day to create some type of relationship with the audience. But they can't push Savannah out because she's going through this horrible tragedy. So people there at NBC are going to have to toe the line and do this very delicately when trying to figure out how to move forward in Savannah's absence. Since Nancy's disappeared, the Today show has led every single morning with the case of Nancy Guthrie. They've had live reporters there in Arizona. Of course, they have made this such a big story and kept it at the forefront of everyone's mind because it's about their beloved co worker. Today, however, they switched gears a little bit and they led the Today show with the news about former Prince Andrew being arrested for his connection and misconduct in relation to Jeffrey Epstein. So it just kind of showed this transition about, okay, we care so much about Nancy Guthrie. It's day 19. We can't keep putting this at the very top when there's bigger news. Now, they did do an extensive report after the Andrew news, but just something to note here and that they're having to deal with this as well as they want to support Savannah. But they're a news organization at the end of the day. And speaking of ex Prince Andrew, that is a bombshell story that happened today over in the UK. Ex Prince Andrew arrested on his 66th birthday. Now, I'm going to refer to him as Ex Prince Andrew because he is not a formal prince anymore. His full name, though, for those that don't know, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. So on his 66th birthday, he was arrested for suspicion of misconduct in public office. He's the first royal to be arrested in nearly 400 years. But this gets interesting. So his misconduct in public office, the suspicion of it, I guess I should say, involved him sending basically, British trade secrets to Jeffrey Epstein while he was the British trade envoy. So obviously this was something that Jeffrey Epstein had no business seeing. And Andrew was sending him this classified government material about trade reports from Hong Kong and Singapore and Vietnam. This is a big no, no. Epstein had no business seeing that. So he was arrested. He was actually shown leaving the police station after he was there for several hours. And they were also able to see to search his property, and they were able to search the Royal Lodge where he did live before he was essentially kicked off when he was stripped of his prince title back in October of last year. So why was he stripped of his title? Well, ex Prince Andrew has a long history with Epstein, and some of it is very troubling. He was even friends with Epstein after Epstein pled guilty to these horrible charges involving soliciting children. He still went to visit Epstein in New York and was walking around with him in Central park like they were buddies. But this is a very interesting little predicament that the Royal family is in right now, because Prince, Ex Prince Andrew, if I call him Prince Andrew, you get the point. He's no longer officially has royal duties. But Andrew, per sources that have covered the royal family for years, is not going to plead guilty to these charges. And I'm told in the UK they don't really have, like, plea deals like we do in the US So it could tee up this situation where King Charles, Andrew's older brother, has to be a part of this legal process. What does Charles know? Could Andrew say, I told Charles all of this information and he never came forward? So some people are saying, is King Charles gonna have to step down now because of all this? I mean, this is. Who knows where it's gonna go? But it's just something to think about. I mean, this is why it's such a bombshell for the Royal family. Like, it disrupts everything. And Andrew's mom, Queen Elizabeth, she relieved him of royal duties Back when he was first accused of being involved with Epstein and all this extracurricular stuff that did not look well on the Royal family. But it was King Charles who brought him back into the fold when he really didn't have to. And of course, it was ultimately King Charles who stripped him last October of his title. But a lot of people were just like, why would you put yourself in that predicament anyways? Why would you bring him back in? So a lot to sort out there as that continues to develop. I do want to say, though, that this arrest today had nothing to do with Epstein and sex trafficking. We know that when Andrew was Prince, that he was accused of raping this 17 year old. Her name was Virginia Giuffre and she was the one that came out and said that Andrew sexually abused her. She even moved to Australia after Epstein was arrested in 2019. So Virginia Giuffre claims that she was sexually abused by Prince Andrew back in 2001. And years later, she started talking, talking about it, just detailing how she was sex trafficked through Epstein to Prince Andrew when she was just 17 years old. And she became bold with her statements and she actually filed a lawsuit against Prince Andrew back in 2022, which she settled. But what's interesting is after Epstein was arrested in 2019, she moved to Australia and then she wrote this book and the book was about Epstein and Prince Andrew was in there. And that book came out October of last year. The same month, King Charles ripped Prince Andrew once again of his royal titles. But six months before that, Virginia Giuffre killed herself. It was an apparent suicide. She was a wife, she had kids. Just a tragic end to her life that she tried so hard to make better when she moved to Australia. But today, her family spoke out on her behalf after Andrew's arrest today, our
