Someone out there knows something that can bring her home. Somebody knows. It's been weeks since 84 year old grandmother Nancy Guthrie vanished. Her daughter Savannah Guthrie speaking out again now calling her mother's return a recovery. And previously unseen ring camera video shows vehicles on back roads near Nancy's home the morning she was abducted. Will this break open the case? Prosecutors in suits and SUVs scoured the Guthrie home. Is this case reaching a dead end or a new beginning?
C
They have got to understand that scene. So when they're talking to somebody, they have to know immediately whether that person is telling the truth or not.
B
Meanwhile, a man stalking the Guthrie home with a picture of Nancy was arrested. And sources say Savannah is determined to return to her seat at the Today show. I'm Lyndon Blake and this is Finding Nancy Guthrie. A Daily Wire true crime investigation. It is Friday, February 27th. We are in day 27 in the search for Nancy Guthrie entering the fourth weekend since she disappeared from her home in the middle of the night. There's a lot to get to on this Friday. We have some just flat out strange instances to talk about, but also some real updates to get to. And one that just sent a shiver down my spine was Savannah Guthrie. Today she released a new video. It's a edited version of the video she released earlier this week where she made that $1 million reward. So she cut out a piece of that video, reposted it again with the FBI tip line and she said this word, she said the reward is going to be paid for the recovery of Nancy Guthrie. Just imagine how hard that was for her to type out on her post. She's saying that the family is going to pay a cash reward to somebody that that helps them recover their mother. Recovery is a big word because that means that they're not recovering someone that's alive. You recover someone, like search and recovery. It's a recovery mission. You're trying to find a body. So that just broke my heart. We know in the video earlier this week that she did say they know that there's a good chance that her mom's already in heaven, but it seems like even more so now, today, they're coming to grips with that, more that their mother's gone, and they just want to properly celebrate the wonderful life she lived. So, again, that was something new today. One of the odd things that has happened in this case, and we've said this now for weeks, that this case has not been normal. Well, Thursday night, we just, you know, got to double down on that statement because a man driving past Nancy Guthrie's house at least 50 times with a picture of Nancy on his phone in the car, like, holding it up for people to see through the window, was arrested, charged with a dui. All the media camped out there saw this. He was in this blue car. And Brian Enten for News Nation said at least 50 times, he said 50 to 100 times, this car driving by slowly. Well, obviously, deputies are on the scene still guarding Nancy's house. So they made him do a field sobriety test. He failed it. He was taken away. Just this is not normal. But again, this is not related to the Nancy Guthrie case. Pima county had to make that clear today. I don't think any of us thought that it was, but they had to rule that one out. But no, just a man. His name was Antonio de Jesus Pina Campos. Just riding around with a picture of Nancy on his phone, apparently under the influence. So a deputy drove his car away and got him out of the neighborhood. Something else that happened this week that was beyond weird is a woman pulled up to Nancy's memorial right outside her home, brought a karaoke machine, started singing you raise me up by Josh Groban. She was serious, too. She had lyrics on her phone. She was holding the microphone and she was singing, serenading Nancy Guthrie's neighborhood with a rendition of you raised me up. Nothing about this case has been normal. And those two instances just continued to prove that. We have new ring cam video to analyze. This is a great find by Fox News. They were able to get these neighbors ring camera footage from the night Nancy went missing. This is about two and a half miles from Nancy's home. But. But it's interesting because it shows cars speeding by all throughout the night. But there's one car in particular that Is flying by at 2:36 in the morning, the night Nancy went missing. Remember the original timeline? Nancy's pacemaker disconnected at 2:28. This house is about a 7 minute drive from Nancy Guthrie's house. So the neighbors that turned over this video were thinking maybe the person that took Nancy was trying to take these back roads and avoid major intersections where they may be caught on camera and kind of go the long way around to take her wherever they are wanting to go. So Pima county said today they're looking into that, even though this is outside the 2 mile radius where they asked for video from Nancy's neighbors. But it's just right outside and the timing is something to note. Now, according to tmz, the FBI already ruled this out as a dead end, but. But again, Pima county looking into this and a lot of people now are trying to analyze the car in the video that's going by right at 2:36. It would be huge if this was related to the case. Again, no indication that it is yet, but we're looking for a vehicle of interest. It's been 27 days and we haven't been given anything. So again, huge if true, if this could lead to something. So you had a lot of action at Nancy's home this week, and this is after days of really nothing going on. On Wednesday, you had prosecutors there from Pima county dressed nicely in suits. They were going inside the house, outside the house, really digging in to this crime scene. Now, Cheryl McCollum, she's a cold case expert, she went on Nancy Grace's crime story show this week to explain what the prosecutors were doing.
C
This is imperative for two reasons. One, the prosecutor is the only person that can make a deal. They have got to understand that scene. So when they're talking to somebody, when the federal people are interviewing a potential suspect, eventually they have to know immediately whether that person is telling the truth or not. Well, when you walk that scene, you know where the blood starts and where it goes through that house, out that front door. You know what her bed cover looked like. You know what the kitchen looked like. You know what color the sofa is. If you don't go to that house, you don't know that.
B
So there's been a lot of reports that they're getting ready to turn Nancy's home back over to the family. They're installing a security system. It looks like today at Nancy's home, it was a simply safe security system. That's interesting because her security system that she had when she went missing wasn't really hooked up to its, you know, full use. Cause it didn't have that subscription. But it looks like things are being done to kind of wrap the crime scene up. Now people like Nancy Grace are being like, this is way too soon to be turning this back over to the family. People are still combing through and trying to extract any evidence from that house to try to put an ID on the man or the people who took Nick. Nancy Guthrie. But it seems like all signs are pointing towards getting ready to give it back to the family. We haven't seen a crime scene crew come to the home. Normally, if there's this big, gruesome scene, blood in the house, you have the crime scene cleanup crew come in and really give the house a deep cleaning before it's turned back over and is livable, really, for the family. We haven't seen that happen. So that could mean that maybe Nancy wasn't severely harmed inside the home, which would be potentially a good sign in this case. And we know that the blood drops that were on the front steps seem to be from a nosebleed. So just something else that I've been thinking about. We haven't seen that take place yet. But if the reports are true and the house is getting ready to be turned back over to the family, I find it odd that you have an Arizona reporter saying that Pima county sheriff said that Annie Guthrie's car was still a part of the investigation. That seems to me like an oddity here, but something that we're just going to continue to follow as this unusual case heads into the fourth weekend. Pima county also let us know about the investigation. And this is kind of like, you know, law talk, but they're basically reallocating their resources into the detectives that are specifically assigned to the Nancy Guthrie case. They wanted to make clear that the active investigation will remain with the code word active until Nancy is located or all leads have been exhausted. They're still continually getting tips, especially since Savannah put out that $1 million cash reward. So until all that has been exhausted, the case remains active. But they said resource allocation may fluctuate. So they're basically just covering themselves, being like, don't freak out if you see us pull, you know, five cop cars out of Nancy Guthrie's neighborhood. We're still working the case. It just may look a little different as we're in the fourth week. Savannah has been missing from the today show this entire time. Of course, she has been in Arizona with her family since that Sunday night when her mom went missing. She flew back that Sunday afternoon after the reports came out, and there have been sources throughout saying, I don't think she's gonna come back to the Today show. I'd be shocked if she did.
C
When.
B
Well, today sources are saying that she is coming back to the Today show. It will be on her own timeline. And so this is just great news for people that love her and have connected with her. And I know it is gonna be extremely difficult for her to return after this case gets closure, but it's her career. It's what she loves to do. She loves connecting with people. So that's a new development there. And lastly, this is. As a former reporter on the ground, this is a funny press release to get. When you get a press release saying, hey, media, we're making this entire neighborhood a no parking zone, even though you're doing your live shots at the obvious crime scene, which is Nancy Guthrie's neighborhood. But, yeah, you can't be here anymore. Maybe take an Uber, but you gotta get out of here. So you have media members who are obviously still covering this case because the case needs to stay in front of the public eye. Elizabeth Smart said that this week. Don't stop putting this story out there. Don't stop putting Nancy Guthrie's face out there because it took her nine months to be found. She is saying it must stay in the forefront of people's minds. So the media that's out there, they are doing this to bring closure to this case. So of course they're still out there. But Pima county says people are complaining about emergency vehicles, and you gotta get out and take an Uber if you want to. So now there's been some reports of nice Uber drivers giving media lifts for free. And then you have people like Brian Enten that are getting his steps in every day and walking.
D
They, like, pass this ordinance trying to keep the media out, which just annoys me. So luckily, one of the neighbors, super nice lady, I got to know her and her dog, she messaged me last night, and she's like, you can definitely park in my driveway.
B
She.
D
She lives a little bit far from Nancy's house. Not that far, but. So I just parked in her driveway, and now I'm gonna walk to Nancy's.
B
I just love Brian Enten. He is so good at what he does and clearly dedicated to getting to the truth of what happened to Nancy Guthrie. But it goes back full circle to our. There's nothing normal about this case. There's nothing normal about this case. I hope we get some breaks in this unusual case soon. It's been a while since we've had significant SWAT activity. It's been two weeks since someone's been detained for questioning in this case that we're aware of. So as we head into the weekend, we're gonna continue to follow it. 1-800- call FBI is the tip line. And I'm gonna emphasize what Savannah emphasized in her video today, and it was even if you call the FBI tip line, you can remain anonymous and they will make sure you get your cash reward if that leads to Nancy Guthrie. The reward is for the recovery of Nancy Guthrie. I'm Lyndon Blake, and this is Finding Nancy Guthrie. A daily wire True crime investigation, Toogood
