Why? Fear of failure is absolutely killing your success. Now, here's the thing. First of all, you have to know something. We all fail. And in fact, failure isn't really failure. It's just a learning experience. So you have to think about something. If you're not doing something wrong, how are you going to know to do something right? How are you going to even know something's working if you don't try to do something? So, so many people are. They're getting ready, they're aiming, but they're not firing. They're waiting for things to be perfect, perfectly perfect for that perfect shot, for that perfect everything. They want every I to be dotted, every T to be crossed. They want everything to be just right before they ever launch. And here's what happens. They wait weeks and weeks and months and months to ever launch, or they never launch at all because they're trying to be perfect. And you're never going to be perfect. And here's the thing, you don't know what to learn or what to improve on or how to adjust or modify if you don't just start. You cannot get better if you do not start. Let's just take, for example, video. Okay, first of all, video, in my opinion, is one of the fastest ways any business can start to do really, really well, and especially if you're building a personal brand. But doing video was difficult because we are afraid of what we look like, what we sound like? Are we going to make a mistake? Are people going to like us? Are they going to judge us? Like, we are so afraid of what other people think. And there's a lot of bullies behind the screen, right? There's a lot of people that, behind that keyboard, they can just be like, so nasty and so rude. And so because of that, we're afraid of what people are going to say. Do you really care about what that bully behind the keyboard thinks about you or says about you? That who cares, right? So don't let that worry you. And sometimes it's like, if you don't have haters, you're not really doing well. You want to have some haters. So haters gonna hate, right? Like, you'll see in my comments, we've got haters. And that's okay. But one thing is that for my real audience that I'm really trying to help, if I don't start something, I don't know what's gonna work or what's gonna connect with them or what's not connect, can connect with him. If I don't at Least try something. I can't improve or get better if I don't try, and neither can you. So your fear of failing, your fear of perfection is keeping you from ever getting the success you want. Because it's keeping you from starting, it's keeping you from launching, it's keeping you from trying. It's not gonna work in real life. It's. And honestly, who cares if you fail? Is it really failure? It's just, it didn't work or it didn't work as well as you want it to. So how are you gonna know how to make it better or what to do different if you don't at least start because you're so worried about it being so perfect? So I like to tell people, get mo good enough to move on. I also like to say, be perfectly imperfect, right? Who wants to be perfect anyways? Nobody likes perfection. In this video that you're watching, right? I've already made mistakes. I've already kind of stumbled over my words. You're still watching, and I've made lots of mistakes. It's not perfect. I don't have a script. I'm not, you know, doing everything exactly right. And you are still here, so. And I can't get better until I start. In fact, we've only been doing this channel not too long, and I even look back at the first couple of videos that I did. I'm like, man, I didn't do them that good. But if I didn't start, I wouldn't be able to get better at doing them. I wouldn't know what you want, what you don't want, how I can help you. I had to start. And yes, I'll tell you what, I was scared, too. You see two views and you spend all this time recording and researching and editing and spending the money to do it, to get two views. And you're like, man, that kind of sucks. But I'm gonna suck at first. So who cares if I only have two views, right? The idea is I'm gonna get better as I go on. I'm gonna improve. Will you? So you can't be so worried about making a mistake that the perfectionism is killing you. And I know that sometimes we see people on social media and we see, you know, everybody looking like everything's so marvelous and wonderful. And I gotta tell you, I know a lot of influencers who are, you know, not being very influential in their life. They're not making the most influential, good decisions. They're not living the life that they say they're. They're renting girlfriends and boyfriends, they're renting clothes, they're renting cars, they're trying to make it look like their life is perfect. And no one's is. No one's is perfect. That's part of the reason why I've been so open about my eating disorder and about issues that I've had. Because I don't want you to think that everybody's perfect, right? Let me tell you something. Talk about fear of failure, talk about fear of rejection, talk about fear of judgment. I mean, it's a 37 year old secret that I've had, that's how afraid that I was. And you want to know what my biggest regret is? My biggest regret is not saying it sooner. Because had I said it sooner, have I not let that fear of judgment get in the way? I mean, I think I would have healed a lot sooner, right? I also know I would have helped a lot more people because since I have come out, a lot of people have told me, oh my gosh, like you being honest and you saying this is helping me. But that fear, that negative wolf, that bad voice in my head saying oh my gosh kept me from not only helping myself, but helping others. So don't let like I regret that. Don't let that be you, right? Another thing that I did, and I bet you can probably relate to this, is I was so afraid to leave my safe job. I had a safe job as a real estate agent making a lot of money. And I wasn't very happy. I was very tired, exhausted. I was working myself to the bone and I should have left four or five years sooner. But my fear of failure, my fear of not succeeding, my fear of this, you know, I was so safe and comfortable. That fear of not having that, that fear of not succeeding, that, that fear of not being as successful, not having the status, it kept me again from doing something that I should have done so much sooner. And had I done it sooner, I know it'd have been a lot further along. So don't let that be you, right? Think about when you think about doing something, what comes up? You know, do you know that a lot of times the fears that we have, those negative thoughts, remember stop, step and switch, you got to get it out of your head, so many of the fears and the thoughts that we have, they never come to fruition. We think about all these terrible things that are going to happen and how horrible it's going to be and they never happen. That's what most fear is, right? Fear is Thinking about something that we're worried about, right? I call it fear is finding excuses and reasons. I say make fear become finally eager and ready. If you want freedom, right, you've got to get enthusiastic. You have got to get like, excited. You've got to get active. You've got to get resourceful about what you want. Because if you don't, you're, you know, you're going to be stuck in the same old place. And what I tell you to be afraid of is being stuck where you are. I think biggest from the. What I have learned about life is that people's biggest regrets that they have is not doing something they still have the ability to change. Like, that's your biggest regret. It's the. It's like looking back and going, oh, oh my gosh, I could still change that right now. And I'm not doing it because I'm leaving my fear of failure. Or even worse, we'll say my fear of success. That's a whole new video get in the way. Don't let that be you, right? Get like change that fear around. The fear is just a worry about something that you're thinking might happen. And most cases, those thoughts, those things we worry about never even come to fruition. And you're fearing and thinking about the same thing over and over and over again. So. So I would just ask that you stop quit letting your fear get in the way of your success. Your fear of. Of failure is killing and sabotaging your success. It's sabotaging you, right W Clement Stone saying, he says the number one enemy of wealth is delay. Guess what? You're letting your fear you're. It's delay you from getting the wealth, the health, the abundance success that you want. So, like again, be your own hero. Is Wonder Woman afraid? I don't think so. Like, no, she's not. She goes for it, right? So be your own Wonder Woman. Be your own hero. Quit being so afraid. It's not a failure. It's not a mistake. It's a lesson that you're learning that you can get better so you can improve, so you can change. Do not let fear get in the way. Let me give you an example. I have two really messed up thumbs right now. These are some pretty ugly thumbs. I don't like actually showing them. But I'm doing this video with these jacked up thumbs. I didn't let fear get in the way. And maybe you noticed them or maybe you didn't, but I'm still doing it. So can you. So remember this fear is sabotaging your success. And you are the only one responsible for creating the life that you deserve and changing that. And you have the choice to do it right now. So do me a favor, write down all the fearful thoughts that come into your head. What are all the fearful thoughts that you say? You know, I think a lot of it for a lot of us is I tried this before, it didn't work. Like, I'm not good enough to do that. I'm not young enough, I'm not experienced enough, I'm not educated enough, I don't have enough resources, I don't have enough money. Like, all those fears and thoughts are just keeping you stuck and safe and stagnant. Which is why, which is what most rich people in the world want you to keep on thinking so you can keep working for them and creating their life because they're quite frankly afraid of what you can do if you actually get out of your shell and start kicking some butt for yourself and quit letting that negative Nancy wolf, that bad wolf, that amygdala get in the way and keeping you stuck and safe. So write them down. Those are the learning beliefs, right? Change those around, throw them up on the new beliefs up on your wall. The new, the non fearful. You let me know in the, in the chat, like, what have you been saying and how are you going to change that? And I'd love to hear from you. Really stick to this, like, stick to this like every time you start thinking about fear and worry, like how can you change that? And let's see what happens. Thanks for watching everyone.
