This one technique is going to save you up to 16 hours a week. And there's research to prove it. So I'm going to be teaching you about something called the success sprint. And I actually got this and learned from it from something called the Pomodoro technique. This was from Francesco Silio. He learned about this and taught this in the late 1980s. I've adapted the Pomodoro technique into what I call a success sprint. And here's how it's different. What you're going to do is you're going to set a timer for 30 minutes. Okay, 30 minutes. And I like to use something like this. And the reason why is because it's. If you set the timer on your phone, you're going to be looking to the phone. And research shows that every time you take your eyes off a task takes 23 minutes to get back on task. So if you have a little timer like I just showed you, then you're not going to be tempted to look at your phone. So you're going to set the timer for 30 minutes. You're going to work on one task at a time, one task for 30 minutes. It looks something like this. I'm going to work on answering emails. I'm going to work on a specific project. I'm going to work on, you know, learning how to do a particular skill. But the idea behind is you just work on that one thing and that thing only. You don't get distracted, you don't try to multitask. In fact, research shows that the more you try to multitask, the harder it is to stay on task. And everyone always says they're great at multitasking, but research shows otherwise. So you're going to pick one task to work on for 30 minutes. Now, after that 30 minute stint, then you're going to get up and you're going to thrive really quickly. Right? You're going to give thanks Tea. I'm so happy. You're going to laugh out loud. Ha ha ha. You're going to remind yourself you're resourceful and resilient. The I do it now, do it now. Take immediate action. I am successful. I am wonderful. I am amazing. I'm going to visualize myself succeeding in the thing I'm trying to be good at. Like right now on this YouTube video. And the E is for expect it, have energy around it, enthusiasm around it, and be excited around it. Now, I talked about thrive in a different video. So if you're not sure what thrive is, be sure to go back and look at the video on thrive because it tells you exactly how to thrive and the reasons why thriving is so important. So success sprint, 30 minutes. Work on one thing. After that 30 minutes you're going to stand up, take a three to five minute break, stretch, look around, do whatever, do jumping jacks, do some meditation and do thrive in between. Now you're going to do that four times. 30 minutes with a three to five minute break. 30 minutes, three to five minute break. 30 Minutes, three to five minute break. Do that four times, make sure you thrive in between each 30 minute sprint. And, and that is called one success sprint. Okay? After you've done one full success sprint, remember four 30 minute increments with three to five minutes in between, where you thrive in between, then that's one complete success sprint. And then you're going to take a 15 to 30 minute break after you've done four of those. Now here's the deal. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, oh no, Krista, I can't take a 30 minute break. I'm going to get less done. Guess what? Research shows otherwise. Research shows that when you, number one, just focus on one specific task, you're going to get more done, you're going to be more efficient, you're going to be more productive, Right? And it also shows that you're giving your brain time to kind of relax, rewind and readjust. Okay? So that is a success sprint accompanied with thrive. Remember thrive. It doesn't need to be this long old drawn out thing. It's just a, you know, 62nd, 32nd thing that you can do multiple times throughout the day to actually have, you have more happiness, health, wealth, abundance, physical fitness, more energy, everything. These two things combined are one of the things that I say got me to go from zero to $60 million with a very happy, has been happy life, feeling great about myself from just those two techniques. And that's where the money comes, that's where the success comes, the abundance comes. And all that is from these type of strategies. So if you want to get your time back, if you want to save 6, 16 hours a week, you want to do this success sprint. And any questions, let me know. I want to hear from you. Like how much time do you have? How much time are you getting back? Right? How is thriving along with your success for changing your life kind of changing quite frankly? The chemistry in your brain, Right? It's all about us becoming our own hero, training ourselves that we can take care of ourselves. We have the power, we have the power within us to create and achieve anything that we want. Even things that seem so, so impossible. It's all about you. You have what it takes. I always tell everyone you are the only one responsible for creating the life that you deserve and you deserve it. And this Success Spread right 30 minutes, 3 to 5 minutes off. Thriving in between. Doing this is going to give you so much more done, so much more happiness, so much more productivity. You're going to feel achieved and it's just going to make a massive difference in, in your life. So I hope this was helpful. Be sure to like and subscribe. It's how we keep the channel going. And if you feel this is helpful, send it to somebody else. And I just really appreciate you taking the time to watch this. And remember, you are the hero, you are the heroine. There's no one coming to save you. You are saving you and you have what it takes. And these types of things is the starting point to giving you the happiness and creating all these things in your brain to help you train your brain to unleash your limitless life. Host: Krista Mashore
Episode Title: Get More Listings with This Time Saving Trick!
Release Date: November 5, 2024
In Episode 900 of "F.I.R.E.D UP with Krista Mashore," Krista delves into a powerful time-management technique designed to help entrepreneurs and real estate agents streamline their workflow, increase productivity, and ultimately secure more listings. This episode introduces the Success Sprint, an adaptation of the well-known Pomodoro Technique, tailored to foster focus and efficiency in the competitive world of real estate.
Krista opens the episode by presenting the Success Sprint, a method inspired by Francesco Silio's Pomodoro Technique from the late 1980s. She explains that while the original technique involves 25-minute focused work intervals broken by short breaks, her adaptation extends the focused period to 30 minutes to accommodate longer tasks common in real estate.
Krista Mashore [00:15]: "I'm going to be teaching you about something called the success sprint. And I actually got this and learned from it from something called the Pomodoro technique."
Krista provides a step-by-step guide on how to implement the Success Sprint:
Set a Timer for 30 Minutes: Use a small timer instead of a phone to avoid distractions. Research indicates that looking at your phone after setting a timer can lead to a 23-minute delay in refocusing on the task.
Krista Mashore [00:45]: "If you set the timer on your phone, you're going to be looking to the phone. And research shows that every time you take your eyes off a task takes 23 minutes to get back on task."
Focus on One Task: Dedicate the entire 30-minute block to a single task, such as responding to emails, working on a specific project, or learning a new skill. Avoid multitasking, as it significantly hampers productivity.
Krista Mashore [02:10]: "You don't get distracted, you don't try to multitask. In fact, research shows that the more you try to multitask, the harder it is to stay on task."
Take Short Breaks: After each sprint, take a 3 to 5-minute break to stretch, meditate, or perform quick physical activities like jumping jacks. These breaks are crucial for maintaining high levels of productivity.
Krista Mashore [03:30]: "After that 30 minute stint, then you're going to get up and you're going to thrive really quickly... do jumping jacks, do some meditation and do thrive in between."
A unique aspect of the Success Sprint is the incorporation of "thriving" during breaks. Krista describes thriving as a brief period of positive affirmation and mental rejuvenation to enhance overall well-being and productivity.
Positive Affirmations: Engage in activities that boost your mood and mindset, such as expressing gratitude, laughing, and visualizing success.
Krista Mashore [04:20]: "You're going to give thanks, you're going to laugh out loud, you're going to remind yourself you're resourceful and resilient."
Visualization: Use these moments to visualize your success and reinforce your commitment to your goals.
Krista Mashore [05:00]: "I'm going to visualize myself succeeding in the thing I'm trying to be good at."
These practices not only rejuvenate the mind but also reinforce a positive and proactive attitude towards achieving business objectives.
Krista outlines the complete structure of a Success Sprint cycle:
Four Success Sprints: Each cycle consists of four 30-minute focused work sessions, each followed by a 3 to 5-minute thriving break.
Krista Mashore [06:10]: "And, and that is called one success sprint. Okay? After you've done one full success sprint, remember four 30 minute increments with three to five minutes in between..."
Extended Break: After completing four Success Sprints, take a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes. Contrary to common belief, Krista emphasizes that these extended breaks enhance overall productivity by allowing the brain to relax and recharge.
Krista Mashore [07:00]: "Guess what? Research shows otherwise. Research shows that when you, number one, just focus on one specific task, you're going to get more done..."
Krista highlights the myriad benefits of adopting the Success Sprint:
Increased Productivity: By focusing on one task at a time, individuals can accomplish more in less time without the pitfalls of multitasking.
Time Savings: Implementing this technique can save up to 16 hours a week, giving entrepreneurs more time to focus on strategic activities.
Krista Mashore [08:15]: "If you want to get your time back, if you want to save 6, 16 hours a week, you want to do this success sprint."
Enhanced Well-being: The thriving breaks contribute to better mental health, increased happiness, and higher energy levels, creating a balanced approach to work and personal life.
Scalability: This method is versatile and can be adapted to various professional tasks, making it especially beneficial for real estate agents who juggle multiple responsibilities.
Krista shares her personal journey, attributing her success to the consistent application of the Success Sprint and thriving practices. From starting with zero, she grew her business to $60 million, maintaining a happy and fulfilling life.
Krista Mashore [09:30]: "These two things combined are one of the things that I say got me to go from zero to $60 million with a very happy, has been happy life, feeling great about myself from just those two techniques."
This testament underscores the effectiveness of the Success Sprint in achieving substantial business growth while maintaining personal well-being.
Towards the end of the episode, Krista emphasizes the importance of self-empowerment. She encourages listeners to take responsibility for their success and harness their inner strengths to overcome challenges.
