The real estate game is evolving, and those who are not quickly changing are leaving the industry, just like we saw last year. I mean, look at the real estate exam. Nothing, literally nothing on that test is going to help you in your career today. And why? Because it's outdated. And so are the strategies that you've been taught to use from your brokers and team leaders. They do not work any longer. I mean, think about it. Where are you watching me right now? You're watching me on the Internet, and that's exactly where buyers and sellers are looking. We are living in an era where your online presence can either dictate or not your success or lack thereof. So what does it mean for you as a real estate agent? It means that you need to start mastering digital marketing. Search engine optimization, how to utilize video, and how to create a brand that resonates with your audience and people want to watch. It's about educating them. So those days, and you know this, of cold calling and door knocking, they don't exist anymore. I mean, think about it. I actually have a glass door. When somebody knocks on my door, I am running and hiding because I am fearful. And so are the people on the other side of that door. Think about when you get a phone call, what do you do? You spam it. You don't answer it. They are doing the exact same thing to your calls as well. My phone doesn't even ring. If the number is not saved and I don't know who it is, it goes directly into spam. That's happening to you, too. So you need to be where your clients are looking and they are looking online. So I'm going to be unveiling a digital marketing strategy that you can employ right now that's going to take your business to new heights. I'm not talking about theory. I'm talking about exactly what I did to average 134 homes a year while I was in the real estate industry. And my students are in the exact same thing across the nation. So listen up. First off, I'm going to ask you this one question. Do you have a Google my business page? And if you do not, you need to pause this video right now and go Google how to set up a Google my business page and do it right away. It is essential right now. I mean, think about it. Google is the number one search engine. That's where everybody goes to search for things and they're going there to search for you, too. And when you have a Google my business page, you need to start getting reviews and testimonials from other people, people you've worked with, people you're working with, like inspectors title. You get Madrid if you've never even sold a house before, you have people you're working with that are part of your team that can give you a valid referral, a valid review. And then once you get that review, make sure respond that review and be very, very personal with response. Google likes five star reviews. They like when you respond and they like reviews that are current. And here's the deal, everybody. We know there's always an angel out there. You're going to get a bad review here and there and when you do, you have to respond to that one too. And guess what? You cannot delete them. So you gotta respond. So why is this so important? Because research shows that buyers and sellers start looking for information, researching six to 12 months before they actually take action. So that means when they're researching homes in my area, how to sell a house, how to buy a house, your name will start to come up. You want your name to come up and then thinking about you before they're actually ready to take action. And here's the thing everybody, you don't know what you don't know. No one's taught you. Your broker's usually competing with you. Your team leader has never even sold a house before. So it's important that you learn from someone that's actually done the thing that you're trying to do. I mean personally alone, I've invested over $1.6 million to have these awards over my head, learning from experts who specialize in things I was trying to learn. And guess what? Every single month I hold a three day virtual event. And because you're watching this video, just comment below and I will give you a free ticket. Doesn't cost you anything. Where we go over all of these strategies, how to use digital marketing, how to use video, how to put your client avatar so that you can have brand awareness and start converting more buyers and sellers. Title: Real Estate in 2025: Are You Ready for the Future?
Host: Krista Mashore
Release Date: December 11, 2024
In Episode 899 of F.I.R.E.D Up with Krista Mashore, Krista delves into the transformative changes reshaping the real estate industry as we approach 2025. Emphasizing the necessity for agents to adapt, Krista sets the stage for a comprehensive discussion on emerging trends and essential strategies for future success.
Krista begins by highlighting the rapid evolution within the real estate sector. She states, “Nothing, literally nothing on that test is going to help you in your career today” (00:00) referring to outdated real estate exams that no longer align with current industry demands. This observation underscores the importance of staying abreast with contemporary practices rather than relying on obsolete training.
A significant portion of the episode centers on the critical role of digital marketing in modern real estate. Krista asserts, “We are living in an era where your online presence can either dictate or not your success or lack thereof” (00:00). She elaborates on key components such as:
Krista emphasizes that mastering these digital tools is non-negotiable for agents aiming to thrive in the competitive landscape of 2025.
Moving away from digital strategies, Krista critiques traditional real estate practices. She remarks, “The days of cold calling and door knocking, they don't exist anymore” (00:00). By sharing her personal aversion to door-to-door interactions—“I actually have a glass door. When somebody knocks on my door, I am running and hiding because I am fearful” (00:00)—she illustrates the diminishing effectiveness of these approaches in the digital age.
A pivotal segment of the episode focuses on the importance of establishing a Google My Business (GMB) page. Krista urges, “If you do not have a Google My Business page, you need to pause this video right now and go Google how to set up a Google my business page and do it right away” (00:00). Key actions include:
She explains that maintaining an active and well-reviewed GMB page significantly boosts visibility, as “Google is the number one search engine. That's where everybody goes to search for things and they're going there to search for you, too” (00:00).
Krista sheds light on client behavior patterns, noting that “buyers and sellers start looking for information, researching six to 12 months before they actually take action” (00:00). This insight highlights the necessity for agents to establish a strong online presence early, ensuring that their services are top-of-mind when clients are ready to engage.
Addressing the shortcomings of traditional training, Krista emphasizes the value of learning from experienced professionals: “You don't know what you don't know. No one's taught you” (00:00). She critiques broker and team leader training programs, stating, “Your broker's usually competing with you. Your team leader has never even sold a house before” (00:00). Instead, Krista advocates for investing in specialized education to acquire actionable strategies that drive real results.
Krista shares her personal success story, revealing that she has invested over $1.6 million in accumulating expertise and highlights her ability to average 134 home sales a year. She proudly mentions that her students nationwide are achieving similar successes by implementing the strategies she teaches, reinforcing the effectiveness of her methods.
Towards the episode's conclusion, Krista promotes her three-day virtual event, designed to impart her digital marketing strategies. She invites listeners to participate, offering a free ticket for those who comment below the video. Krista summarizes the event’s objectives: teaching agents how to dominate their market, increase listings, and become the go-to choice for clients. She directs listeners to sign up at kristamayshore.com/limitlesslistings.
