Welcome to Fist Full of Dirt, the official podcast of Mossy Oak Properties hosted by Ronnie "Cuz" Strickland. Whether you own a small farm, lease land or just love hangin' in your backyard.. we’re all about the outdoor lifestyle and how to get the most from your time in God’s great Outdoors.

Send us Fan MailThis week I’m pulling back the curtain on one of the most unique projects Mossy Oak has ever launched, Second Season. Back when the show first aired on the Golf Channel, the idea of blending golf and hunting audiences was anything but a sure thing. Looking back now, it seems obvious. Back then, it felt a little crazy. Somehow, through a lot of hard work and great people.. it all came together. This week I’m sharing the story behind the show, the people who made it happen, the challenges we faced, and why the crossover between golf and hunting was far more significant than most people realized. There are a few behind the scenes stories in here that I think you’ll enjoy.Stay connected with Fist Full of Dirt: Instagram: @ffodpodcastInstagram: @moplandforsaleTwitter: @FistDirtTikTok: @originalturkeythugInstagram : @CuzStricklandTwitter: @CuzStricklandFacebook: @CuzStricklandYouTube: Cuz411

Send us Fan MailThis week’s episode is all about fathers. With Father’s Day upon us, we asked our listeners to share stories about the men who shaped their lives, and y’all delivered. Some of these stories are about great dads. Others are about grandfathers, mentors & coaches who stepped in when they were needed most. Some take place in deer camps and dove fields.. others have nothing to do with hunting at all. But every one of them reminds us how powerful a good man’s influence can be.Lauran and I read your stories and found ourselves laughing one minute and fighting back tears the next. This is one of the most heartfelt episodes we’ve ever done. To all the fathers, father figures and mentors out there.. thank you for the example you set. Happy Father’s Day.Stay connected with Fist Full of Dirt: Instagram: @ffodpodcastInstagram: @moplandforsaleTwitter: @FistDirtTikTok: @originalturkeythugInstagram : @CuzStricklandTwitter: @CuzStricklandFacebook: @CuzStricklandYouTube: Cuz411

Send us Fan MailLast week’s conversation about Alpha-Gal syndrome generated a lot of interest.. so we’re back with Part 2. Once again, I’m joined by Dr. David Allen, a healthcare professional who has personally lived with Alpha-Gal for more than two decades. In this episode, we dive deeper into the realities of living with Alpha-Gal, including common misconceptions, hidden triggers, long-term outlook, prevention strategies, and what every hunter and outdoor enthusiast should understand about tick-borne illnesses. We also discuss why cases continue to rise and what steps you can take to protect yourself and your family while enjoying the outdoors. If you spend any amount of time in the woods (or heck, outside) this is information worth knowing. Send us Fan MailThis week I’m sitting down with Scott Branca from Branca Boys Spurs. Most turkey hunters know Scott from his incredible replica spur creations and custom knives but there’s a whole lot more to the man than craftsmanship. We talked turkeys .. how a hunt back in 1994 changed his life forever and why turkey hunting gets so deep in a man’s soul. Scott is one of those humble, steady people you’re thankful to know. The kind of man who quietly pours his heart into everything he creates. I believe y’all are really gonna enjoy this conversation. Send us Fan MailThis week I’m sitting down with the guys from Great Plains Ag to talk summer food plots. Folks tend to overthink it sometimes, but the truth is it doesn’t have to be complicated. Heck… I did it.We’re talking timing, planting tips, mistakes to avoid, and ways to make your property better without turning it into a full time job. If you’ve been thinking about putting in a summer plot but weren’t sure where to start, this one’s for you.Stay connected with Fist Full of Dirt: Instagram: @ffodpodcastInstagram: @moplandforsaleTwitter: @FistDirtTikTok: @originalturkeythugInstagram : @CuzStricklandTwitter: @CuzStricklandFacebook: @CuzStricklandYouTube: Cuz411

Send us Fan MailThis week’s episode is a little different and it’s one that means a whole lot to me. A few weeks ago I got a message from a family down in Georgia about a man named Jeff Daniel who was going through one of the hardest seasons of his life after losing his wife earlier this year. They thought maybe a short phone call from me might lift his spirits a little.Instead, I loaded up and drove to Georgia. What followed was one of the most meaningful weekends I’ve had in a long time. We shared supper, swapped stories and hunted together the next morning. But what I didn’t fully realize until later was just how much that time meant to Jeff and his family.Without me knowing it, “Laureen” reached out to Jeff’s grandson Clint and recorded their side of the story and hearing it for the first time on this podcast reminded me that sometimes the greatest part of hunting has very little to do with the hunt itself.Stay connected with Fist Full of Dirt: Instagram: @ffodpodcastInstagram: @moplandforsaleTwitter: @FistDirtTikTok: @originalturkeythugInstagram : @CuzStricklandTwitter: @CuzStricklandFacebook: @CuzStricklandYouTube: Cuz411

Send us Fan MailThis week I’m in the middle of the spring turkey run, and it’s been a good one. I’m sharing two hunts that couldn’t have been more different… but both meant a lot.First, a road trip out to Nebraska with two of my grandsons where Cranky wrapped up his Grand Slam. There’s nothing like watching that happen and being there for it. Then, back closer to home, an unexpected hunt with my youngest daughter, Lauran. No big plans, no pressure.. just time together in the turkey woods. (And we made it count!) Two hunts, two stories and a reminder that it’s not always about the distance traveled or the tag filled, it’s about who you’re with when it happens.Stay connected with Fist Full of Dirt: Instagram: @ffodpodcastInstagram: @moplandforsaleTwitter: @FistDirtTikTok: @originalturkeythugInstagram : @CuzStricklandTwitter: @CuzStricklandFacebook: @CuzStricklandYouTube: Cuz411

Send us Fan MailThis week we’re back with Part 2 of my conversation with Dr. Marcus Lashley, better known as Dr. Disturbance. Last week we got into plenty of turkey talk and this week we’re picking right back up where we left off.Marcus has spent a lifetime studying wild turkeys but what I enjoy most is talking to him as a hunter. There’s a difference between knowing about turkeys and knowing how to hunt them.. and Marcus brings both to the table. We covered more strategy and stories so if you enjoyed Part 1, you’re gonna love part 2.Stay connected with Fist Full of Dirt: Instagram: @ffodpodcastInstagram: @moplandforsaleTwitter: @FistDirtTikTok: @originalturkeythugInstagram : @CuzStricklandTwitter: @CuzStricklandFacebook: @CuzStricklandYouTube: Cuz411

Send us Fan MailThis week I’m sitting down with Dr. Marcus Lashley, better known to many of y’all as Dr. Disturbance. Most folks want to talk science, biology and research when they sit down with Marcus. That’s all good and well, but I wanted to talk TURKEY HUNTING.And let me tell you something… this man knows his way around the woods. We swapped stories, talked hunting strategy and what years in the woods will teach you. Marcus is sharp as they come, but he’s also the real deal when it comes to chasing longbeards.Stay connected with Fist Full of Dirt: Instagram: @ffodpodcastInstagram: @moplandforsaleTwitter: @FistDirtTikTok: @originalturkeythugInstagram : @CuzStricklandTwitter: @CuzStricklandFacebook: @CuzStricklandYouTube: Cuz411
