Story Transcript:

El: Στον ήλιο της Θεσσαλονίκης, στη γειτονιά με τα στενά δρομάκια και τις ήσυχες παρέες, o Δημήτρης προσπαθεί να συνδυάσει δουλειά και οικογένεια.
En: In the sunshine of Thessaloniki, in the neighborhood with the narrow alleyways and quiet gatherings, Dimitris tries to balance work and family.

El: Είναι καλοκαίρι, και η ατμόσφαιρα γεμάτη ζωντάνια.
En: It is summer, and the atmosphere is full of liveliness.

El: Παιδιά παίζουν μπάλα στο δρόμο, και τα καφέ γεμίζουν με γέλια και μυρωδιές από τον ελληνικό καφέ.
En: Children play soccer in the street, and the cafes fill with laughter and the aromas of ellinikos kafes.

El: Ο Δημήτρης, πατέρας στα 39 του, έχει στο μυαλό του τη δουλειά συνεχώς.
En: Dimitris, a father at 39, has work on his mind constantly.

El: Το κινητό του πέφτει στα χέρια του κάθε λίγο και λιγάκι.
En: His phone falls into his hands every now and then.

El: Έχει μια όμορφη οικογένεια - τη σύζυγό του, την Ελένα, και τον μικρό τους γιο, τον Νίκο.
En: He has a beautiful family – his wife, Elena, and their young son, Nikos.

El: Αλλά φοβάται πως η δουλειά τον απομακρύνει από αυτούς.
En: But he fears that work is pulling him away from them.

El: Μια ζεστή Κυριακή, η Ελένα προτείνει να πάνε για πικνίκ στο πάρκο.
En: One warm Sunday, Elena suggests they go for a picnic in the park.

El: Ο Δημήτρης διστάζει στην αρχή, αλλά σκέφτεται πως ίσως είναι μια ευκαιρία να χαλαρώσει.
En: Dimitris hesitates at first but thinks it might be an opportunity to relax.

El: Ο Νίκος ενθουσιασμένος φωνάζει: "Μπαμπά, κοίτα!
En: Nikos, excited, shouts: "Dad, look!

El: Θέλω να παίξουμε ποδόσφαιρο!"
En: I want us to play soccer!"

El: Φτάνουν στο πάρκο όταν το τηλέφωνο του Δημήτρη χτυπά.
En: They arrive at the park when Dimitris' phone rings.

El: Είναι ο προϊστάμενος του, με μια επείγουσα κλήση.
En: It is his boss with an urgent call.

El: Ο Δημήτρης κοιτάζει το τηλέφωνο με αγωνία.
En: Dimitris looks at the phone anxiously.

El: Η Ελένα τον κοιτά στα μάτια και λέει: "Σε χρειαζόμαστε εδώ μαζί μας."
En: Elena looks him in the eyes and says: "We need you here with us."

El: Στο μυαλό του Δημήτρη γίνεται πόλεμος.
En: In Dimitris' mind, a battle rages.

El: Η ευθύνη της εργασίας χτυπά την πόρτα της συνείδησής του.
En: The responsibility of work knocks on the door of his conscience.

El: Κοιτάζει τον Νίκο που κλωτσά την μπάλα με γέλια στηλούμπα, και παίρνει την απόφαση.
En: He looks at Nikos, who kicks the ball with laughter, and makes a decision.

El: Βάζει το τηλέφωνο στο αθόρυβο και κάθεται στο γρασίδι.
En: He puts the phone on silent and sits on the grass.

El: Η απόφαση κάνει το βάρος να φεύγει από τους ώμους του.
En: The decision lifts the weight from his shoulders.

El: "Αυτός ο χρόνος είναι δικαιωματικά δικός μας," σκέφτεται.
En: "This time rightfully belongs to us," he thinks.

El: Κοιτάζει τη γυναίκα του κι επιτέλους νιώθει την ανάλαφρη χαρά να γεμίζει το στήθος του, καθώς ο Νίκος τρέχει προς την αγκαλιά του για να πανηγυρίσει ένα γκολ.
En: He looks at his wife and finally feels the light-hearted joy fill his chest as Nikos runs into his arms to celebrate a goal.
