Story Transcript:

El: Η άνοιξη είχε φτάσει στην Κρήτη.
En: Spring had arrived in Kriti.

El: Ο ήλιος φώτιζε λαμπερος πάνω στη φάρμα των ελαιών.
En: The sun shone brightly over the olive farm.

El: Ήταν καιρός για τη συγκομιδή της ελιάς.
En: It was time for the olive harvest.

El: Η Ελάρα προχωρούσε με αποφασιστικότητα στη φάρμα.
En: I Elara walked with determination on the farm.

El: Οι ελιές ήταν έτοιμες και εκείνη ήταν αποφασισμένη να δείξει τι μπορεί να κάνει.
En: The olives were ready, and she was determined to show what she could do.

El: Ο Κώστας, ο πατέρας της, καθόταν σ' έναν παλιό ξύλινο πάγκο.
En: O Kostas, her father, sat on an old wooden bench.

El: Παρατηρούσε σκεπτικός την κόρη του.

El: Η Άντρια, η μικρότερη αδελφή της Ελάρας, είχε έρθει από την Αθήνα να βοηθήσει.
En: I Antria, i mikroteri adelfi tis Elaras, had come from Athina to help.

El: Είχε μοντέρνες ιδέες και η Ελάρα ήταν πάντα ανοιχτή στις συμβουλές της.
En: She had modern ideas, and i Elara was always open to her advice.

El: Αλλά και η ίδια η Άντρια ένιωθε διχασμένη ανάμεσα στην αγάπη για την οικογένεια και την ανάγκη για πρόοδο.
En: But i idia i Antria also felt torn between her love for the family and the need for progress.

El: Η οικογένεια συγκεντρώθηκε.
En: The family gathered.

El: Οι γειτονικές φάρμες απασχολούσαν κόσμο για τη συγκομιδή και οι άνθρωποι τραγουδούσαν τραγούδια του τόπου καθώς μάζευαν τις ελιές.
En: The neighboring farms hired people for the harvest, and the people sang local songs as they collected the olives.

El: Ξαφνικά, μαύρα σύννεφα συγκεντρώθηκαν στον ουρανό.
En: Suddenly, black clouds gathered in the sky.

El: Μια άγρια καταιγίδα πλησίαζε.
En: A wild storm was approaching.

El: Η Ελάρα είχε προνοήσει.
En: I Elara had foreseen it.

El: Είχε τοποθετήσει συστήματα προστασίας και άρδευσης σε περίπτωση καταιγίδας.
En: She had set up protection and irrigation systems in case of a storm.

El: Οι ελιές καλύφθηκαν και οι εργάτες βρήκαν καταφύγιο στη φάρμα.
En: The olives were covered, and the workers found refuge on the farm.

El: Η καταιγίδα χτύπησε δυνατά, αλλά η γη άντεξε.
En: The storm hit hard, but the land endured.

El: Μετά την καταιγίδα, βγήκε ο ήλιος ξανά.

En: New ideas matter... When they have the right foundations," he said with emotion.

El: Η Άντρια χαμογέλασε στην Ελάρα.
En: I Antria smiled at tin Elara.

El: Η γη τους είχε προσαρμοστεί, και η οικογένεια ήταν πιο ενωμένη από ποτέ.
En: Their land had adapted, and the family was more united than ever.

El: Η Ελάρα είχε κερδίσει την εμπιστοσύνη του πατέρα της, και η Άντρια ένιωθε πως είχε χώρο να προσφέρει τις δικές της ιδέες στο μέλλον της φάρμας.
En: I Elara had gained her father's trust, and i Antria felt that she had the space to offer her own ideas for the farm's future.
