He: בבוקר אביבי ומלא התרגשות, הכיתה של מריים יצאה לטיול בגן הבוטני.
En: On a spring morning full of excitement, Miryam's class went on a trip to the botanical garden.

He: השמש נצנצה בין העננים, והרי ירושלים נראים מרחוק במלא תפארתם.
En: The sun glimmered between the clouds, and the hills of Yerushalayim could be seen from afar in all their glory.

He: אריאל, נועה והכיתה צעדו בעקבות מריים, שהסבירה על הצמחים המיוחדים בגן.
En: Ariel, Noa, and the class followed Miryam, who explained about the unique plants in the garden.

He: אבל בראשו של אריאל, המחשבות היו במקום אחר.
En: But in Ariel's mind, his thoughts were elsewhere.

He: הוא חש התרגשות מהמקום אך התנתקות ממנהגי יום העצמאות, ולא הבין איך לחבר בין הדברים.
En: He felt excitement from the place but a disconnection from the traditions of Independence Day, and he didn't understand how to connect the two.

He: "זה יום חשוב למדינה שלנו.

He: "נועה דחפה את אריאל בעדינות, "בוא נבדוק את החלק עם הצמחים הישראליים.

En: Ariel nodded with a heavy heart and followed Noa along the path leading to a special corner of the garden.

En: He looked around, saw the flowers, the bushes, and the trees decorating the scenery.
