Lt: Pavasaris atėjo į Kuršių neriją, ir oras buvo puikus piknikui.
En: Spring had come to Kuršių Spit, and the weather was perfect for a picnic.

Lt: Rokas ir Birutė stovėjo smėlio takelyje, žiūrėdami į bangas, mušamąsias į kranto liniją.
En: Rokas and Birutė stood on the sandy path, watching the waves crash against the shoreline.

Lt: Saulė šildė jų veidus, o malonus gaivus vėjas atnešė sūrios jūros kvapą.
En: The sun warmed their faces, and a pleasant fresh breeze carried the salty smell of the sea.

Lt: "Ateik, Birute," Rokas paragino.
En: "Come on, Birutė," Rokas urged.

Lt: "Rasim ramų kampelį, tobulą mūsų pietums.

En: "Okay, let's go.

En: But just for a short while."

Lt: " Jis tikėjosi, kad tai bus smagus tarpinis nuotykis jų dienai.
En: He hoped it would be a fun side adventure for their day.

Lt: Vadovas, kurio vardas Stasys, pasirodė labai entuziastingas.
En: The guide, whose name was Stasys, turned out to be very enthusiastic.

En: He told such stories about each bird that even Birutė couldn't stop smiling.

Lt: Bet kai nuėjimas tapo ilgesnis nei mnogėsi tikėtasi, Rokui kilo abejonių.
En: But when the walk lasted longer than expected, Rokas began to have doubts.

En: For Rokas, this moment seemed ideal.

Lt: "Birute, eikime už tos kopos," pasiūlė jis, sunkiai paslėpdamas juoką.
