Lt: Vilniaus centre, senajame vyriausybės pastate, viskas atrodė pasiruošę vietos rinkimams.
En: In the center of Vilnius, in the old government building, everything seemed ready for the local elections.

Lt: Saulė per didelius langus užliedavo švelnią šviesą vidun, o Milda, rinkimų pareigūnė, rūpestingai tvarkė dokumentus.
En: The sun poured soft light inside through the large windows, and Milda, an election officer, carefully arranged the documents.

Lt: Ji buvo pasiryžusi daryti viską, kad šie rinkimai būtų sėkmingi.
En: She was determined to do everything to ensure these elections would be successful.

Lt: Tačiau širdyje ji jautėsi vieniša, trūko bendruomenės šilumos.
En: However, in her heart, she felt lonely, missing the warmth of the community.
